day 4 of 100 days of wellness challenge

self-care choices I made: ✅ took medicine 💊 took 2 dose of painkillers (such bad wisdom tooth ache!) 🛏️ had an active morning and early afternoon. Really crashed - so took a few hours to rest (but did best not to sleep) and perked up at around 9:30/10pm self care journey ruminations: I want to take more epsom baths, see if it helps I want to make EDS recommended stretches and taping a habit I want to make short meditations a daily thing too. Especially if ones aimed at dealing with chronic pain or fatigue are a thing. I want to try and do a small creative thing each day. I'll count streaming as one, since that's more spoon-intensive than I realised! But on days where I don't, if I can paint or uke that'd rock. symptom stats 💤a very broken 6/7 hours sleep 👍Pain levels have been pretty low! Even after overdoing it for a few days! *happy dance*. Right wrist is still sore but nothing has threatened to pop out today~ 👟 45 minute walk or so + Squeezed in a study session! Did it on my earlier modules aaand... welp, I've gotten a bit rusty. But oh well, we move! + Curled up with dog & caught up on Bridgerton - Random wisdom teeth pain = universe, why?? ? I think I'd really like to pursue a counselling qualification some day! Maybe when I complete my current course.

For most people, getting medical tests results that say
"No abnormalities, everything is normal" is great
But when you constantly are in pain, can't eat can't lay down can't sleep or hardly do anything..its such a fuck you slap in the face. It's hard enough to get doctors to believe you in the first place to get any testing going on...then to get this result? It just feels like it ruins any and all chances you might have had and flushes them down the fucking drain.
Having a (invisible) chronic illness sucks but it's mostly because doctors don't seem to want to listen or believe you.

symptom stats 💤 9hrs sleep 👟 movement... decent! Probably an hour or two of movement combined. It definitely ‘cost’ me something… but felt good!
+ made espresso martinis with my pal + and he cooked the most amazing dinner - spilt espresso martini all over myself, welp...
🕹️ Played Amnesia: Dark Descent with split controls. It was so fun. 10/10 need to stream. 🎬 watched Twilight 🎧Clair de Lune - Claude Debussy

My insurance won't pay for me to split my high dose into two, so I have no choice but to keep dipping into extreme lows and psychosis every night before I take my meds. Splitting it was such a good idea. I'm devastated.

So I wrote up this whole post once and tumblr ate it, but I really wanted to talk about my journal special interest because I never really do since it's just. Getting excited about journals.
Anyway. I have three journals: (1) a longform one that I use largely as a record of my life. I started at 12 and now it just doesn't feel like something really happened if I didn't write it down. I also process emotions there sometimes, but really it feels most important that I record what I did and felt rather than vented or whatever. It also helps with my really poor memory. (2) a 5-year daily one I started at the beginning of last year because sometimes I'm too tired to really write or nothing of much note happened, but I would still like an ongoing daily record of every day of my life and this way I can write just a couple sentences. Also became a good way to record how many words I write each day. And (3) a bullet journal I use as a combination to-do list, planner, budget, and tracker. Which means everything from daily highlights to how much water I drank to when I work to remembering to do laundry to if I had a meltdown. Can you tell I like to keep track of things? I have notebook time every night.
Anyway, the first two are a little personal to share, so I'm going to show off my bullet journal.

I love putting stickers on it! Most stickers I get just go in my longform journal, but the special ones get put on the bujo cover.
Also, I did NOT do the drawings in it because I lack both the patience and skill, but I did pick the themes and these are a couple of my favorites:

Every month looks different but has the same elements: boxes for my daily schedule and to-dos plus what I'm reading and writing, a tracker page (how many cups of water, how work went, if I had a meltdown/shutdown, etc), a budget page (I really just do my personal hobby money tracking here, not like bills and stuff), daily highlights (which have done a surprisingly good job of making me think of something good about each day), and my balance tracker page. And I want to show you this month's balance tracker because it's my favorite so far (though next month's might be even better). Plus I made a bad balance key in the back (my handwriting might give you a clue as to why I pay someone to draw these for me):

Gym selfies + tonight's dinner. I'm full af. Proud of myself for going to the gym today even if it doesn't feel like I did all that much cuz cardio is exhausting still. I'm also proud of myself for being consistent on eating salad with dinner. It's a small goal but I'm doing it.
