stuff !!! (still updating all the links and stuff)
i do the opposite of gatekeeping. you guys will be FORCED to hear abt my interests. some links of dead romans stuff i like <33
julius caesar illustrated by tony scott (silly drawings!!);
the october horse by colleen mc cullough (i am obsessed with this book despite having very mixed feelings abt it);
eve of ides by david blixt (constant loud wailing + funny scenes with antony);
hbo rome (peak fiction. idc.);
cleopatra (1963) (antony looks so cunty in that miniskirt. him and cleopatra are literally malewife and girlboss);
julius caesar (1979) (very low quality. i am desperate)
julius caesar (1953) (cassius...thoughts abt cassius...)
julius caesar (1950) (cassius...thoughts abt cassius...)
empire (2005) (brutus looks like a puppy here i think)
guys i'll update this with brutus' biography (plutarch), brutus' biography (tempest), julius caesar 1969, julius caesar 2018 sooner or later !! if anyone wants the 2017 I'll email it to you

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.
if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.

my mum forbade me to say anything to my dad about the top surgery thing, and it's just hit me how funny it would be if i got it done and didn't tell him and just waited for him to notice. i mean, what's he gonna say? "didn't you used to have tits?"

it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.

You guys rlly don't realise how much knowledge is still not committed to the internet. I find books all the time with stuff that is impossible to find through a search engine- most people do not put their magnum opus research online for free and the more niche a skill is the less likely you are to have people who will leak those books online. (Nevermind all the books written prior to the internet that have knowledge that is not considered "relevant" enough to digitise).
Whenever people say that we r growing up with all the world's knowledge at our fingertips...it's not necessarily true. Is the amount of knowledge online potentially infinite? Yes. Is it all knowledge? No. You will be surprised at the niche things you can discover at a local archive or library.
