Tony’s Childhood. Part 2.2. Effects: Inner Child
Before this part, be sure to read Part 1 and Part 2.1.
Let’s go back to his sometimes childish behavior: for example, he plays nanoball with Pepper in several scenes in IM2, buys her plush toys, throws things off the countertop and climbs onto it to be higher, and so on…
Tumblr media
Some may have noticed that this happens more often in the presence of Pepper, who in some ways acts as his mother figure. And, even more important for understanding this phenomenon, he does this when he is in serious condition: in IM2 he is dying from palladium poisoning, in IM3 he has PTSD.
Tumblr media
Note: using the phrase “childish behavior” I do not mean infantilism as a disorder – that’s different, and something that Tony does not have.
So why is he like this?
The answer is simple: he was not allowed to be a child when he was one, and was emotionally neglected, so his normal psychological development was disrupted from an early age, leading to the development of this coping mechanism, and ultimately part of his personality remained in "child mode".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Howard rushed to prepare Tony to become "the messiah", he discouraged him from normal childhood activities and behavior, even when Tony was 4 years old. His parents were not present in his life emotionally from the beginning, and later they were also not present physically. From the age of 7, Tony lived in conditions that children much older than him usually live in, with those older children, not with peers. His activities there consisted mainly of studying science and technology. He couldn't act like the child he actually was. And in college, when he was still a kid, he was thrown into the community of college students. Not the proper environment for a child.
From his perspective when he recruited Peter in CW he was recruiting a 15-year-old himself, who, in many ways, was already an adult.
Tumblr media
However, these misfortunes in the future allowed him to easily find a common language with children like Harley, Peter, and Morgan. His inner child understands them, knows what they want and need, how they think. He does not talk down to them and treats them as equals. He also knows what to get Harley for his help and how to be a great father - because he can see from both perspectives.
Tumblr media
Conclusion: Tony was deprived of the opportunity to be a child, which affected his psychological development, leaving him a bit of a child in his adult life. This had its pros and cons, including some difficulty communicating with other adults, but at the same time, it made it easier to communicate with children.
It also gave him a somewhat distorted view of childhood (thinking that other children were just like him - practically little adults), which gradually faded with the experience of caring for a "regular" teenager.
All these features also allowed him to become a wonderful father in contrast to his own.

Propaganda why Batman is insufferable:
Always has to be right. Does the most janked up stuff and doesn't care who it hurts. Imposes his will on others to the point of willing to bodily harm them if they do not comply (and yes, this does include his children)
I’ll also support Batman as a candidate because of the slapping Robin meme, which is annoying, and because he is just way too much. Too much all the time.
Has to always be right, regardless of situation. Because somehow the billionaire has knowledge of how middle class people think.
Propaganda why Tony Stark is insufferable:
She’s a hypocrite who is ready to restrict the freedom of others when they make one mistake, but when he makes a mistake he figures he’s able to handle himself
Super long, sorry lol
Thinking about how in Homecoming when Peter accidentally caused that boat to get split in half because the Vulture’s gun exploded and Tony was acting like as if Peter was completely in the wrong for going there just because he did it without his permission. He was acting like as if Peter was out of line and “disobeyed him”, trying to act like his father. And then I remember how in CACW he’s the one who scouted Peter in the first place just because he saw he might be useful against a personal squabble between him and Captain America despite knowing that he was a kid and he’s just now acknowledging how dangerous it is because Peter “acted on his own”
Completely hijacking Peter’s superhero story and trying to control his every move (Training wheels protocol and baby monitor thing he put in the suit), acting like Peter should’ve known that Tony would send someone in despite the fact that he’d been ignoring him for 2 months since Civil War and not keeping him updated on anything!!
How the hell is peter supposed to know Tony is going to listen to him when he treats him like a kid instead of a superhero when it’s convenient for him? And when Tony loses his temper after Peter says he’s 15 not 14 like “the adult is talking” bitch he could literally flatten you without your suit!!!
I guess in a way he is acting like a father but like the absentee kind. He’s more like a sperm donor father trying to act like he has any rights over Peter’s life smh.
It’s not that reprimanding Peter for the situation is bad, but the way he makes it seem as if Peter is irredeemable as if Tony wasn't a literal weapons dealer lmfao. He could’ve said what was the truth about it without completely invalidating him saying shit like “no thanks to you” after Peter asked if everyone is okay when it’s literally thanks to Peter finding a lead on those guys in the first place that they were even noticed and it’s not like the FBI being there could’ve in no way caused a similar situation.
And then near the end of the movie when he’s getting crushed by the building rubble screaming and crying for someone to help him where the fuck is Tony?? That scene just proved that he never needed Tony’s suit in the first place to be Spider-Man since he had to use 100% his own strength to lift it off of him. I know he would’ve found the motivation even if Tony hadn’t been involved in the first place to give him the suit, take it away from him and have the words “if you’re nothing without the suit you shouldn’t have it“ echo in his head. Why did Tony even take the suit away? Like as if he expects Peter to stop being spoderman without it??? Holy fuck. This is why you don’t make it out of endgame /j /srs.
When Tony took this suit away from Peter he was like “God I sound like my dad“ shouldn’t that be a red flag to him? Wasn’t he literally just saying that he wished his dad was better than he was?? Lmfao
Tony is so annoying. When they first meet he straight up bullies Peter into fighting for his personal bullshit, insults and objectifies Aunt May in front of him, spits into his trashcan and is in general being pushy af. He blackmails Peter when he doesn’t wanna come to Germany with him AND HE DOESNT EVEN EXPLAIN WHY HE WANTS HIM TO COME. Uncomfortable vibes lol.
Tony being the one to tell peter “if Captain America wanted to hurt you he would’ve” when Peter was trying to state his case, yet HE’S also the one who put Peter in harms way when he didn’t even want to go with him???
Telling Peter that he should stick to being a “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man” (stealing his thing once again) when that’s what Peter _was_ doing before Tony took him out of his zone and filled his head with grander things to be apart of….bitch? Die. Ohh waaaait (jkjk) but yeah
There’s the usual “he’s a war criminal who only felt bad about it when he realized his weapons were killing white Americans as well as Arab people” reason, and also he’s just super annoying. You had to be there for the original Avengers shitty dialogue a la “we have a Hulk” that had Tumblr in a vicious chokehold. Also he was supposed to FINALLY go away after destroying all his suits in Iron Man 3 but he just… didn’t! Which is bullshit.
Portrayed as a hero because? He chose to no longer mass produce war weapons and bombs after suffering the consequences. Huge hypocrite. Doesn't care about anyone but himself. Will backstab people if they believe in human rights when it's inconvenient to him. Seen as a hero while he's the personification of privileged people saying they're not privileged
>Makes weapons
>Billionaire
>Made multiple AI Surveillance Robots
>Gaslight a child into fighting a super soldier in a foreign country for him
>His fans are annoying

Irondad fic ideas #119
We've all seen the fics where the Rogues return and immediately assume that Peter is Tony's son, leading to a "prank" where Tony and Peter "act" like father and son (they soon realize they barely have to act, cue feelings)
Now, a fic that is a twist on that old favorite.
The Rogues return, and they quickly figure out that Peter is not Tony's biological son, that he started as an intern and as Spider-Man but the two have grown closer since then. The Rogues assume that Tony has never told Peter how much he cares about him. They believe Tony is too emotionally constipated, and that Peter must still think he is "just an intern"
However, in assessing the situation, the Rogues have failed to account for some pretty vital facts: 1) the amount of time that has actually passed, and 2) the fact that Tony Stark would do just about anything, even face and overcome his childhood programming, for Peter Parker
Peter and Tony have known each other for two years now. They have already had all the emotional conversations. Peter sees Tony as a father, and Tony sees Peter as a son, and the whole Ironfam knows it. No one is in the dark about what's going on.
...except the Rogues.
When Peter and Tony realize that the Rogues immediately assumed Tony is emotionally incapable, they decide to prank them by seeing just how long they will keep believing that
Around the Rogues, Peter calls Tony "Mr. Stark," and Tony pretends to be a stone cold bitch (even while "subtly" remaining a helicopter parent). Back on their own floor of the tower, Peter switches easily between "Tony" and "Dad," they have movie nights where they fall asleep on the couch together, and dinners with Pepper, May, Rhodey, and Happy.
The Rogues decide they need to help Tony and Peter realize their feelings. This goes on for a long time.
Then, one day, Peter gets hurt. Bad. Maybe he gets hurt as Spider-Man, maybe it's a kidnapping or hostage situation. One way or another, he ends up calling out for his dad.
The Rogues all hold their breath, expecting Tony to be stunned, to freak out and go hide in his lab. But Tony doesn't even blink. He comforts Peter, holds onto him, promises that he's safe
Finally, it becomes clear that the Rogues... might have misjudged the situation. Just a bit.

Talk Shop Chewsday: you often mention how interesting you find Tony Stark as a character (outside of fanon misinterpretations of him) and the fact that he’s a complex and not always “good” person. Off the back of that, what role does moral ambiguity play for you in fic writing? How do you approach morally ambiguous characters? What do you find the end goal to be when it comes to them? Do you ever find yourself trying to “correct” them in your writing? Do you have any particular gripes with the way other people write them? Etc and so forth 🎤
Tumblr media
Getting research for your future irondad fics I know what you are!
I think Tony is such an interesting character BECAUSE he has that ambiguity. This is a man that canonically at best would (and SHOULD) be framed as a relative anti-hero turned hero that is completely sanded down to bland oblivion by the vast majority who call themselves fan. Tony is complicated and his actions even more so and any attempt to pretend otherwise is a disservice to who he is vs what people want to be.
For example, Tony rides hard for the Accords throughout the length of Civil War while simultaneously 1) backtracking away from his entire personality and history up to that point as being relatively anti-establishment ESPECIALLY to the government, 2) enlisting the help of an underaged vigilante superhero with no commentary implicit or otherwise whether Peter knew what the Accords were, if he would sign, what that would mean for him, 3) shamelessly flouts the very oversight that he spent an entire movie defending by the end of the exact same movie— the Accords being something Tony never talks about ever again and is then written off in the MCU offscreen years later.
Now most of this could be attributed to bad writing of course, but a good chunk of fandom chose to ignore this weird ambiguity and ignore it in favor of… derivative “found family” archetypes (which are NOT found family at all but I digress). Rather than wondering at why and how Tony is this complex human being that acts the way that he does, seemingly in inconsistent ways, he’s framed as a good guy who is trying that changed his thinking after checks notes becoming completely obsessed with being a good father figure to this optimistic and stuttering kid that looks at Tony like he hangs the moon.
It’s bad writing but more offensively, it’s bad characterization that strips away anything interesting about Tony (much less Peter) for the sake of projection.
tl;dr Tony Stark is a bastard and reformed war criminal and THAT is why he’s so damn interesting. Making him a cuddly father figure where all his wrongdoings are hand waved to the past of a person he isn’t anymore, and worse making it that his growth is single-handedly because of a kid that becomes the center of his universe, is a fundamental misunderstanding of who his character is.

do-nut november '23: 07. free day (cum swallowing)
top!Tony x bottom!Peter | kinda starkercest
Peter is a little angel. So small, pale and beautiful. Tony’s cock is aching after fucking the boy for God-knows how long. He’s glad the kid heals fast, his Aunt would probably be pissed off that a man more than old enough to be his father is using him like a sex toy.
It’s not quite it, Tony won’t say it out loud, but he loves the boy. He wants the best for him. Even if he knows that the best does not involve afternoons filled with sex in all positions possible. It does not involve Tony loving him much more than he ever loved any lover before.
It’s a twisted version of giving Peter a paternal figure, and Peter likes to call him Dad in front of the others and Daddy when he’s being fucked up against a wall. Tony hates to love it.
It’s the issue with being into young boys.
Not young enough to be a criminal act to go and consummate his desires, Peter does look more like an adult than a child. With his muscles (he’s not sure how much was the bite and how much is a natural development from fighting low-level criminals), his cute attempts at growing a goatee like Tony’s, his generally well-defined body.
He’s just small, and young, and great in bed with his enthusiasm and admiration.
It’s nobody’s business if Tony likes twinks who can both take him like a whore and fuck him like a fucking machine.
“Just a little treat for you, my love,” Peter makes a little happy noise at being called my love. Tony lays on his stomach, pulling Peter’s thighs to rest on his shoulders. “You deserve a little bit of attention here too.”
Peter nods, he’s too exhausted to talk, but not to show some enthusiasm at being touched some more. Tony has kept him in a cock cage from the moment he was naked, he must be in pain. With the mastery of an experienced man, Tony took all of Peter’s cock in one go. He’s perfectly average, Tony loves it.
He barely bobs his head before Peter’s hips are bucking and he’s cumming down Tony’s throat. He goes gently, sucks until Peter is hard again. He makes sure the second shot is on his mouth, painting his tongue and drops escaping his lips. Peter moans, and moans again when Tony makes a show of swallowing everything.
“My little boy tastes like heaven.”

Toothache - Tasm Peter Parker x reader
Title: Toothache
Pairing: Tasm Peter Parker x Reader | Also Peter 1, and Tony Stark
Word Count: 3,605
Summary: Reader comes home from the dentist kind of loopy, and some truths sort of come out.
Warnings: Fluff, Angst for about a paragraph
Notes: At first the I use Peter 1 and Peter 3, then a little later when you see "Pete" it is MCU Peter Parker, and "Peter" is Tasm Peter Parker. I think there are a few typos. And that I switch tense at some point. Or Point of View. I'm sorry. :(
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Peter!!” she exclaimed, skipping into the compound kitchen. Peter turns around from getting a cup of coffee.
“Y/N, hey. You’re cheery.” He looked her over. “Are you okay?”
“Oh.” Her face pulled down into a frown and Peter quirked an eyebrow. “You’re not the Peter I’m looking for.”
He chuckled.
“Where’s your, you know, variant? Your taller, awkwader, handsomer variant?”
“Uhhh….” Peter hesitated. “Well, did you say awkwader, and handsomer? Also, thanks,” he said sarcastically, but Y/N didn’t seem to notice.
Tony walked in just then. “Y/N? Oh, thank God, Peter, she’s with you.”
“Uh, Mr.Stark, is she…drunk?” Peter asked, unsure what the hell is going on.
“No, kid. We just came from the dentist. She got a tooth out. You didn’t the gauze? Shouldn’t Spider-Man be more observant, Pete?”
Peter peered down at Y/N. He finally caught a glimpse. “Well, it’s near the back of her mouth,” he said defensively.
“Kid, watch her,” Tony said exasperatedly. The woman went to touch the coffee pot, which was still boiling hot. Peter reached out just in time and grabbed her hand.
“No, no no,” he said, and used his grip on her hand to pull her over to the kitchen table. “Let’s sit down, huh?” He urged her into a chair and took a seat next to her.
“Thanks, kid. This stuff makes her damn loopy, but I’ve gotta get back to the lab. Will you keep an eye on her for me?” He handed Peter a piece of paper. “This is stuff she can’t have to eat or drink for at least forty-eight hours. So don’t give it to her.”
“Yeah, sure, Mr.Stark.”
“Thanks for taking me to the dentist.” Peter noticed a slight slur in her voice for the first time.
“You’re welcome, kid.” Tony called her kid, too, even though she was nearly thirty years old.
“Bye Tonyyyy!!” Y/N said in a sing-song voice. “Love you!!”
Peter stifled a giggle, and glanced up to see what Mr. Stark would do. He’d stopped just short of the doorway, pinched the bridge of his nose, but Peter caught a smile on his face. “Love you, too!” he called back and Y/N beamed. Peter laughed. If Y/N had not been loopy she would not have just shouted that out, but it seemed to lower her inhibitions a bit, and apparently act as a sort of truth serum. Peter knew she looked at Mr. Stark as a sort of father figure also, so that’s what all that was about. He chuckled again.
“You need anything?” he asked her. “Water, f-?
“Oh, but you are cute!” she blurted out suddenly and Peter furrowed his brow.
“What?”
“The other Peter is handsome, but you’re cute. You’re a good-looking kid, but you know, young. To me.”
Peter put his hand over his mouth to try to hide his laughter. This was more amusing than it had any right to be, he though. And kind of wondered how MJ and Ned would react to all this.
“Where’s Peter 3?” Y/N asked, using the title Peter 1 had given him to make her point clear. He knew exactly who she was talking about before, though.
“I’m not sure,” he said honestly, and Y/N’s face pulled into a frown.
“I love you too, you know?” she said suddenly, and Peter smiled again.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, you’re like my little brother and one of my best friends, too.”
“Really?” Peter felt his cheeks heat up just a little, and felt all warm inside. This was really sweet. He wondered if she would have said any of this otherwise?
“Really. And also, a little tiny bit like an older brother, too, which is weird since you’re twelve years younger, but you’re kind of protective of me.”
He laughed again. He was. “Yeah, I know.” There was even a part of him protective of the thought of her going out with anyone. Not because he was jealous, but because he thought she deserved the best, and he knew about her past, which was not pretty. He also knew that her and Peter 3 had a little bit of an unspoken thing going on.
“Should you be talking this much?”
“You saying I talk too much??”
“No, no! I just meant…with your tooth pulled…” he sighed. “Never mind.”
There was silence for a minute and Peter wondered if she was not talking because of his comment. He got up and filled a glass of water for her, then placed it on the table in front of her.
“Thanks, Pete.”
“You’re welcome.”
“So, you love Peter 3?”
“What??”
“You said you loved me, too, so I assumed you meant him, you know, because you said ‘too.” He didn’t actually assume that, but he wanted to see what she’d say.
“No! I meant ‘too’ because…because I said it to Tony. Right, did I?”
“You did,” Peter assured her.
“Oh, good.”
Another pause.
She gave him a hug (more like nearly fell off her chair and he caught her.)
“I love you, too, you know?” he said.
“Yeah?” she smiled sweetly up at him.
“Of course.”
Another voice. “Did I walk in on something?” Peter 3.
“Peter!!” Y/N practically squealed and launched herself off the chair out of Peter 1’s arms over to Peter 3.
“Crap,” Pete mumbled, but Peter caught her. She basically launched into him. He grunted and caught her around her waist, holding her up.
“Uh, hi, bub,” he said to her, peering down at her. He was tall, Peter thought.
“Hi!!” She beamed at him and he smiled back. To Pete it looked like she was barely holding herself up, and Peter pulled her to stand more steadily on her feet, and his arm wrapped securely around her waist.
“What’s going on?”
Pete wasn’t sure if he meant with her or their interaction, so he said anyway, “No, you didn’t interrupt anything.” He made sure he made it clear. He could tell Peter really cared about Y/N, in a much different way then Pete did.
Peter turned to Y/N.
“She got her tooth pulled,” Pete elaborated.
“Oh,” Peter cooed as he touched her cheek to push her face to the side so he could see.  Gentle, always so supremely gentle with her.
“I missed you,” Y/N said to him suddenly.
Pete watched his variant’s cheeks turn a light pink at the comment. “Y-you did?” he stuttered, his hand still resting soft against her cheek, her head still turned to the side as she peered up at him. She nodded as his hand cupped her cheek.
“Course!” She smiles again. “Always miss you when you’re gone. Worry about you, too,” she mumbles the last bit so it is nearly unintelligible, but the two Spider-Mans hear it fine.
Peter smiles fondly at the slight slur of her words, and his thumb rubs a feather light arc over her cheek. Pete feels kind of like he’s intruding on a very private moment.
“Hey, kid, I’m back, I just-“
Tony stopped short, his eyes landing on Peter and Y/N. His lips dipped down into a small frown as he looked over the scene. Pete knew that Tony didn’t necessarily trust his variant Peter 3, and since he saw Y/N as another daughter, Pete knew he was not so happy with this little unspoken thing that was so obviously there.
“Toonyyy!! Hiiiii!!!” Y/N smiled and slurred his name as she turned toward him, swaying a little. Peter’s left hand fell from her cheek and joined his other arm to wrap around her waist, holding her steady. Tony’s jaw tensed as he tracked the movement.
“Hey, kiddo, you doing okay?”
“Yeah,” she said. “Peter’s home!” She beamed at the last sentence.
Tony’s smile was tight. “I see that, kid. Hey, there.” He said the second part to Peter with thinly veiled tension.
“Mr. Stark,” Peter said politely, but his smile was a little tight, too.
Y/N leaned her head slowly to rest against Peter’s chest softly and sighed. Peter’s gaze shifted to her and his smile softened as he did. His hand began to raise from her waist. He hesitated, but it was like he couldn’t help himself, he had to do it. His hand rested on the back of her head and she closed her eyes as she sighed again.
“Tired, bug?” Peter asked in a soft voice, his fingers gently carding through her hair.
Pete again got the feeling of intruding on a private moment. Tony’s jaw tensed even more. Y/N nodded at Peter’s question. After many seconds, Tony cleared his throat. Pete wasn’t sure if it sounded more angry or awkward. He was thinking it tipped a little more to angry.
Y/N giggled softly.
“What?” Peter asked.
“You’re comfy.”
“We’re standing up.”
“You’re still comfy.” She snuggled into his chest a bit more and Peter blushed. Pete was pretty sure he blushed, too, and turned his head a little. Tony cleared his throat louder this time.
“Hey, you two. Over here.”
Peter turned toward Tony before Y/N did, his hand falling from her hair. Then she lifted her head and turned toward the billionaire, but laid it back against Peter’s chest, and his hand returned to its spot on the back of her head, gently twining his fingers through her hair.
“Mhm?” Peter said as his fingers carded through Y/N’s hair absentmindedly. Pete was almost sure he heard a noise something like a purr coming from her, but it was so quiet he only picked it up because of his enhanced hearing, and he was glad Mr. Stark couldn’t hear it.
“Y/N? Kid?”
She lifted her head off Peter’s chest a little, but still stayed close to him. And Peter’s hand did not move.
“Since you’re clearly feeling so sleepy – the meds must be getting’ to ya – why don’t we get to your room and to bed, okay?”
She nodded, but did not move from Peter’s arms. Tony raised his eyebrows. “Um…”
Y/N still didn’t move.
“It’s okay, Mr. Stark,” Peter said. “I can take care of her. I’ll get her to bed, make sure she’s okay.”
Pete was certain Mr. Stark clenched his jaw this time. He knew because he clenched his teeth so hard Pete could hear it, and he was sure that Peter could, too.
Pete felt bad for his variant. Peter didn’t do anything to Tony. Tony just didn’t trust him because he was new here, and he didn’t usually trust new people easily. But he should really cut Peter 3 some more slack. Pete also knew that the budding whatever-it-was between Peter and Y/N certainly wasn’t helping matters. Tony hated to see the young woman he looked it as another daughter falling for someone he distrusted. Pete knew he just didn’t want her to get hurt, that it came from a place of love, but still, it must have been so hard on Peter. Especially because, if you asked Pete, it was so clear that Peter would never hurt Y/N. Never. He was pretty sure he’d do anything to protect her, and that he just wanted her safe, taken care of, and happy. He’d probably lay down his life for her in a heartbeat. But Tony hadn’t quite gotten there yet.
“Stark?” Peter’s voice pulled Tony out of whatever spiral of thoughts he was going down. Pete was nervous btu weirdly curious to know what Tonys response to this would be.
He seemed to be chewing on the inside of his lip for a minute before his mouth formed – seemingly reluctantly – into a tight-lipped smile. Pete waited anxiously to hear his reply.
“Kid?” he said, and hid gaze flicked to Y/N instead of Peter. She didn’t seem to be listening too closely, her eyes a half closed and a bit unfocused. “Kid?” Tony repeated. She opened her eyes to look at Tony, and blinked against the tiredness taking over her body. “You okay with that? With Peter helping you?”
Her lit up visibly and she nodded. “Yesh, yea- yesh, damn!” The word wouldn’t come out right and Peter grinned affectionally. “Yeah, I am.”
Pete half expected Tony to argue, but he didn’t. He just nodded curtly. “Alright.” He looked to Peter 3. “You better take good care of her.”
“Of course, I will, Stark.” He looked down at Y/N. “Alright bub, come on.”
She peered up at him, a confused look covering her face. “To your room. You need some rest.” The look of confusion was erased, and she nodded, rubbing her eyes.
“Okay, come on.” Peter moved the hand on her hair so his arm was anchored behind her shoulders, then crouched down to anchor another behind her knees. She stared up at him with her brow quirked.
“What are you do-“
Her question was answered as Peter lifted her off of her feet and into his arms. He did so slowly and carefully, it looked like he was trying not to jostle her in the slightest. She gasped softly and her arms wrapped round his neck.
“Oh,” she said softly. “You know, you don’t have to carry me, Peter.” Pete saw a blush bloom over Y/N’s cheeks as she said this. Peter grinned down at her.
“I know, bub, but I can, so I might as well, right? Hate to see you lose your balance and fall, wouldn’t we?” His grin was teasing and Y/N narrowed her eyes at him playfully, her nose scrunching up in the process. He laughed, and leaned his forehead against hers. She raised her eyebrows and the color in her cheeks deepened.
“I won’t talk you out of this, huh?”
“Nope.”
“Mm. Okay, Peter.” She seemed to almost sigh out the last words and laid her head upon his shoulder as he pulled away.
Pete smiled as he peered at them, trying not to seem too creepy about it (even though they were right in front of him). Until he turned his eyes on Mr. Stark. His smile faded off of his face, replaced with a frown on the edge of a pout. Mr. Stark was looking at the clearly lovestruck pair with disapproving eyes.
“See you later, Tony,” Y/N slurred as Peter carried her away. He trudged to the kitchen table where Pete sat as the two rounded the corner. Pete waited a few minutes until he heard a door shut until he tried to gather his words before addressing the billionaire.
“Mr. Stark…” his voice trailed off and Tony turned to look at him.
“What is it, kid?”
Pete tapped his fingers on the table before answering. “Why don’t you like Peter 3, Mr. Stark?”
Tony finally looked at his surrogate son. He sighed. “Kid, I just…it isn’t exactly that I don’t like him, I just…I don’t trust him. I don’t know him.”
Pete knew what Mr. Stark was getting at, but he still couldn’t entirety get behind his line of thinking. “He’s a good person. I mean, maybe he’s made some mistakes, but who hasn’t? He helped me a lot. He helped save the whole city in this world. Not to mention in the one he originally came from. He’s…he is a lot like me. I mean, he is a variant of me.” He smiled, then paused, a confused look drawing his eyebrows together. “Or…I’m a variant of him?” His mouth pulled down to a frown and rubbed at his forehead. “Ugh, I don’t know. Sometimes that multiverse stuff makes my brain hurt.”
Tony cracked a smile. “I just…I don’t want anyone to hurt her, Pete. You know about her last, her only, relationship, right?”
“Yeah, Mr. Stark, I do.”
Tony nodded, pursed his lips, then continued. “Then you get why I’m so protective of her? Especially of her in any sort of relationship? I know she’s a grown woman, kid, I know, but it’s been almost a decade since she was in any sort of relationship and the last guy treated her like trash, I just…I don’t want that to happen to her again.”
Pete was a little surprised that Mr. Stark was opening up this much, but he was glad. “Peter would never do that to her,” he said with confidence.
Tony gave him a lopsided, sort of sad grin. “Yeah? You sound super sure of yourself on that one, kid. I want to be that sure, too.”
“You should be.”
Tony leaned a little closer. “How come?” It wasn’t said with malice, it was said with genuine curiosity.
“You know…you know what happened, right, Mr. Stark? When Peter was eighteen; when he was my age?”
Tony’s face falls. “I overheard it, yeah. The basics of it.”
I don’t know that he needs to know the full story, or that I should really be telling him, so I don’t go into details.
“It was his girlfriend, right?” He says it so quiet.
“Yeah, it was.” That’s all I say. Silence for a few seconds, then I say, “That’s how I know.”
Tony’s eyes snap up to mine. “He lost…he’s lost people, but he lost someone before…and…well, he blames himself. I think he’s just started not to. So, he’s letting her in, and you can see how much he cares about Y/N, can’t you, Mr. Stark?”
He sighs, begrudgingly. “Yeah, yeah I can, kid,” he admits.
“Well, after that…after what happened, that’s how I know. He would never treat her like trash. He’ll protect her, he’ll support her, he’ll take care of her. I know it. You should give him more of a chance. Please?”
Another sigh, but this one is for dramatic effect, I know it is. “Yeah, kid. You’re right, I know you are.” He hesitates. “I hate it when that happens.” He grins teasingly at me. “But, I won’t take my eye off him entirely. You know I’d be keeping a little bit of an eye on whoever it was she seemed to have a thing with.”
I laugh. “Fair enough, Mr. Stark.”
***
“Here we are, bug.” Peter said as they walked into Y/N’s room.
“Mhm,” she replied sleepily, not even looking up. They made it a little farther in the room, and then she opened her eyes. “My room,” she mumbled, still with a slight slur.
“Yup, your room, bub.”
“Mmmm. Thank you.” She cuddled deeper into him, her head buried in the crook of his neck and shoulder.
“Hey, keep your arms around me, okay? Hold on. Don’t let go.”
She blinked at him, and he repeated his words. “Y/N. Please.”
“Okay.” She nodded and tightened her grip.
“Good girl, there you go.”
He used his now free hand to pull back the covers on her bed, but quickly curled his arm back underneath her shoulders, in case in her mildly drug induced state she decided to let go for some reason. Gentle, so gentle, he laid her down on her bed.
He grinned. “You can let go now, bub,” he said softly.
“Oh! Sorry…” She released her arms from around his neck.
“Don’t be, it’s okay.”
He smoothed her hair back from her face and she closed her eyes. “Feels nice,” she mumbled. Peter felt a light blush across his cheeks.
But he sat down on the edge of the bed next to her and kept stroking her hair, lightly scratching her scalp sometimes. He swore she nearly purred at one point. He grinned, and his blush deepened. After a few minutes, it looked like she’d dozed off, so Peter removed his hand and was just getting up when he heard her stir. She grumbled and reached for his wrist.
“What’s wrong?” he whispered.
“Don’t go,” she said, and her voice sounded so small in that moment. “Please, Peter?”
Maneuvering so his wrist was out of her tiny grip, he interlaced their fingers together instead. “Okay,” he said. “I’m not going anywhere, love.”
“Promise?”
“Yeah.” He nodded. Of course, he promised. She had no idea; he would always be there for her. “I promise.”
She smiled groggily. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
He pulled his hand out of hers but when he started to walk away, she grabbed it again. “It’s okay,” he said. “I’m just going right over there.” He pointed to an arm chair in her room.
“Can you stay with me…here?” Now her cheeks tinged peach as she gestured to the bed.
“Oh,” Peter said. “I-uh- are you sure that’s okay?”
She nodded, tugging on his hand but of course not moving him even an inch. “Please.” The slight crack in her voice had him almost scrambling to climb in next to her.
“Okay,” he whispered as he nodded. “Can you scoot over, bug?” She nodded and wiggled herself backwards. Peter kept an eye out to make sure she didn’t wiggle backwards right off the bed. He crawled in next to her, and gently pulled her into his arms just in case in her drug induced state she did back all the way off the bed and fall to the floor. For a second, he’s worried he’s overstepped a little, but she just scoots closer to him and snuggles into his chest. He lets out a breath and pulls her a little closer to him, burying his face in her hair and breathing in the scent of her shampoo. She sighs happily, and he resumes running his fingers through her hair and his light scratching of her scalp.
When he looks down again, she is fast asleep. A soft smile spreads across Peter’s face. Whatever this unspoken thing is between them seems to have gone to another level. He hopes this will continue, but for now, he is happy to hold her as she sleeps.

this is me trying - p.p
Tumblr media
summary: after the events of endgame, peter and y/n romanoff deal with their own grief together. peter, losing his closest father figure, and y/n, losing her older sister. after dropping her title of an avenger, y/n tries to pull herself back to normal.
peter parker x romanoff reader
empty tin cans of beer were littered across y/n’s room as an attempt to dry the guilt in her flooding mind. the sounds of the city outside her new york apartment were concealed by the aggressive news reports on her tv.
“coming up next on NBC New York, new tributes and memorials of heroes Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff, and Steve Rogers, Captain America, have been placed in times square. next segment reporter Chris Thompson will be talking with the creators and discussing the importance of these people for saving the world after the bl-“
the tv flashed and turned off, the remote shaking in y/ns hand as she stared at the photo of her beloved sister. she sighs and leans back against the couch and breathes in the cold air from her open window. as she’s busy trying not to get lost in her head, her door beeps and swings open, revealing a more put-together peter.
y/n had no idea how he did it. she tried understanding how he could act so normal after experiencing that. she knew the pain they were both going through, but he was a better actor than she was an actress.
he scans the living room of the apartment, inhaling the scent of beer and taking in the sounds of busy streets. he sighs and starts picking up the cans, throwing them out.
“sorry, don’t worry about those.” y/n’s raspy voice breaks the silence. “i didn’t know you were stopping by.”
“it’s ok.” he says quickly and reassuringly. “sorry i haven’t been by in a few days, i’ve been on patrol a lot. how are you hanging in?”
“wonderfully.” she says, sarcastically, pointing out the scattered mess. she wants to talk about something else, but with everything the pair has been through in such a short time they can’t seem to make time for any other conversations. “you?”
“i’m hanging in there. may’s a lot of help. you can come over anytime, you know that, right?” she keeps her eyes straight, not looking at peter. “honey, i want to help you.”
“peter, i’m going to be fine. they do say time heals all wounds.”
“yeah. how many drinks did you have today again?” he says, slightly more harsh. he brings his hands together, squeezing them as a way of comfort.
“please don’t start this now, really. i’m doing the best i can.”
“i know, and its more than enough. but we need to help each othe-“ she cuts him off.
“shes dead, peter. there’s no helping that. shes dead and i haven’t heard a word from yelena or melina. shes never coming back and im stuck picking up the pieces.” it’s almost like she wanted to say he didn’t understand, but that was wrong and she knew it. peter understood better than anyone.
“you don’t have to do it alone, y/n.” he lowers his voice, almost to a whisper. y/n shakes her head and rubs the back of her neck.
after her death, y/n was left to clean up the mess it left. yelena was m.i.a, there was no point in reaching out to anyone else. there was nothing left to do. nothing anyone can do will unheralded the broken. no one can subtract the guilt out of y/n brain.
guilt was practically eating her inside out. natasha died to bring her back. she died to save the world, and the world couldn’t even save her. if nothing had ever happened to y/n, maybe she could’ve stopped her from traveling back to vormir.
————————————
when y/n was little, before being taken into the red room, she grew up believing a world without her sisters didn’t exist. reality hit like a brick when her ‘father’ willingly gave her up to be a part of an experiment. she realized the truth of the world, and that not everything is pretty colors and a happy family. she reunited with her sister, natasha, after destroying the red room and all of the components, saving the women’s lives inside. natasha is nothing but a hero in her eyes, and never will be anything else. now, to her, natasha was a hero, and never got her chance to be anything else.
the drinking got worse before it got better, and the discovery of new feelings about her situation came to the surface. it seemed that peter losing his strong male figure in his life and y/n losing her best friend brought them together in a way their young, naive minds could’ve never imagined.
natasha claimed to always fight for y/n through life and death. when one wasn’t there, they were killing and rushing for the other.
————————————
one year later.
y/n sat up in her bed, rubbing at her eyes. she shoots peter a message, checking the rest of her notifications.
a clatter is heard from the other room, chairs squeaking against the floor. it couldn’t have been peter, as he would’ve let her know before coming by. in her oversized sweatpants and tank top, y/n gripped onto the knife in her bedside table. she walks carefully, like the weight of a feather on the floor. she creeps out of the hallway, crossing paths with a figure in her main room.
her knife makes a quick move, which the blonde figure dodges and grabs her wrist. she pulls it up as the two make eye contact.
“Привет, my sister.” yelena belova, says clearly with her thick accent reminding y/n.
————————————
a/n: this isn’t my proudest piece tbh but its pretty short. i wanted to get into peters situation and grief a little more but i was kinda struggling with connecting it to the movies, so i decided to cut it short. also sorry if the timing at the end is off i cannot understand it. also sorry if that russian was wrong at the end too LMFAO 🫶

Peter Parker x Male!reader - everything
Tumblr media
so i was wondering if you could do peter parker with a male reader whos the literal embodiment of sunshine? like he's always positive about everything even if he falls down the stairs hes just "Man I got down those stairs quick!"i was hoping they could have been dating for a few months (it was a best friends to lover trope so they have a ton of inside jokes and what not) and maybe an introduction to tony cause hes parkers father figure and peter really wants tonys approval for his relationship or something - Anon💜
Sitting on your couch, you grinned sheepishly at your boyfriend as he came over with the first aid box.
“Seriously, I’m going to wrap you in bubble wrap.” Peter chuckled softly.
He sat in front of you and pulled some things out of the box and laid them down on the couch next to you before setting the box aside.
“Hey, at least I got outside quickly.” You shrugged.
“You fell out the window!” He whisper yelled.
“It was the first floor!” You huffed.
“Not the point mister.”
Peter began to scold you lightly about having to be more carefully and not to hang out the window when passing him things.
You simply just nodded along, knowing full well that by the end of the night you were going to forget it.
He knew that too.
But he still doesn’t stop and he keeps going, telling you how you had to be carefully because he didn’t like seeing you get hurt.
“It’s just a couple of scratches Pete.” You said softly.
“I know, but what if it was worse?” He asked.
“Peter, you’ve watched me trip over my own feet down the stairs, I don’t think it can get worse.” You chuckled lightly.
Peter rolled his eyes at you and leant forward, kissing your head as he placed the final bandaid on your cheek before gathering up all the rubbish.
Tossing it all in the trash, he came back over and dropped himself next to you, resting his head on your chest as you lightly held him.
“You’re still coming tonight, right?”
“Of course Pete, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” You beamed.
Kissing peters head, you laid yourself down and let him lay on you, closing your eyes as you held him a little tighter.
Peter smiled, closing his eyes as he adjusted his head on your chest before he pretty much all but fell asleep.
Though you fell asleep pretty soon after, when Peter woke up you were wide away, playing some games on your Xbox and a blanket draped over the pair of you.
Peter smiled and didn’t move, trying his best to act as if he was still asleep.
“You’ve got to get ready.” You said.
“How’d you know?”
Peter sat up and tossed the blanket across the room on to the chair before he walked away to the bathroom.
He had to leave before you and he realised he was running a bit late so he rushed off but told you he’d meet you outside the avengers tower.
You sat and played some games for a couple more hours before you finally decided it was time to get ready.
Jumping in the shower, you quickly washed and got changed into some jeans and a shirt.
Looking around, you shrugged and grabbed Peter’s hoodie, throwing it on before you decided to leave the apartment.
Jumping in your car, you quickly drove over to the tower, it wasn’t hard to miss, it was one of the tallest buildings in the city.
Peter said you wouldn’t be able to park in front of it, so you settled for parking the street before and just walked over, letting your boyfriend know that you were coming around the corner.
“(Y/N)!” Peter called.
Smiling, you hugged him and kissed him gently before pulling away.
“Ready?”
You took one look at him and sighed, taking his face between your hands and gave him a gently look.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” You asked softly.
“Yeah, I am. May knows, I want Mr Stark to know as well.”
You hummed and smiled, nodding your head as you offered your hand to him.
Peter gave you a huge grin and took your hand, lacing your fingers together as he led you into the tower.
He excitedly rambled about everything he did in the tower, and everything he’d seen and about all the avengers he’d met and you just smiled as you listened.
You loved how happy he was it made you smile, you loved when he talked about things like this, how he just rambled on and on.
When the elevator dinged, Peter quickly went quiet and he shot you a look.
“Breathe.” You said.
He nodded and took a few deep breaths just before the door opened.
Peter led you out, and slowly the pair of you walked into the large living area.
While you started to look around in amazement, Peter went over to where Tony Stark was stood.
You could hear the talking in hushed voices, and Peter called out over.
“Oh coming!”
Jogging over, you missed the hammer on the floor and tripped over it, tumbling to the floor, you rolled a few times.
“Shit kid are you alright?”
“(Y/N)!”
Peter rushed over and the duo helped pull you up while you adjusted your hoodie and Peter checked you over for wounds again.
“The fuck was that?” You asked.
“Thor.” Tony sighed.
You knelt next to the hammer and stared at it.
“Can I pick it up?”
“You can try.” Tony smirked.
You grinned and just carefully inspected the hammer first.
“He’s definitely something.” Tony said.
Peter anxiously looked up at his role model before turning back to you with a smile on his face.
“Yeah, he’s my boyfriend.”
“Well, he seems like a good kid.”
Peter smiled even more.
It wasn’t much.
But from the one and only Tony stark? Those words were everything

Could you possibly do one where Tom and the reader who is an actress who plays a character in Spider-Man NWH are dating and one day for some mysterious reason Tom gets transported into the MCU universe and in the body of his character Peter Parker. Chaos ensues when his co stars are acting like their characters and he tries to convince them that he is not Peter Parker. He even tries to tell y/n that in his world him and her are together. The reader, MJ, and Nef agree to help him get back to his reality
oooh okay! i enjoy a lil multiverse action!
this got so long bc i got carried away but i love this idea so it's totally fine
come send me tom blurbs!
tom woke up to the sun shining in from the window. he rubbed his eyes and sat up in the bed, pushing the covers off as his vision cleared. his eyebrows furrowed as he looked around the room. he was in peter parker's bed, in his clothes, and in his room.
surely someone would've said something to him if he had fallen asleep on set, right?
there was a knock on the door, it opening slightly as marissa aunt may, peeked her head in through the crack, "ned and y/c/n are here, better get a move on. you don't want to keep them waiting."
he let out a sigh of relief. y/n and jacob are here. surely they'd know something about what's going on. what if they're in the same predicament as him?
she gave him a smile as she closed the door. he looked around some more, finding the midtown crewneck and khakis that were thrown around the room. he quickly changed, not really understanding anything about where he was or why he was suddenly peter parker, the boy he portrayed in marvel movies.
surely the multiverse wasn't real, is it?
he quickly was out the door, eager to meet his friends outside. he ran up to y/n y/c/n and gave her a hug. she was caught off guard, looking at jacob ned confused.
"hey, pete."
wait... did she just call him pete?
he pulled back surprised, "huh?"
she looked at him, eyebrows furrowed, "i said 'hey, pete'. are you alright?"
"why are you talking in a british accent?"
tom noticed she was in her wardrobe for the movie, which was a way too big MIT t-shirt that once belonged to her character's father, tony stark, a pair of jeans with black converse to match peter's. why was she wearing her wardrobe? why was everyone acting like he was peter?
"you feeling alright, man?" he turned and looked at jacob ned who was also in his wardrobe. a midtown letter jacket, a pair of jeans and sneakers. what the fuck is going on?
tom stammered, "i- uh, no. everything isn't alright..."
"what's wrong?" y/c/n asked, eyes filled with concern.
holy shit. the multiverse is real. in real life. and he's living in it.
"i think something happened and i got transported here from another universe."
his girlfriend and best friend looked at him and snickered, "yeah, okay, good one."
"come on, we're gonna be late for school."
tom shook his head, following them down the sidewalk, "no i-i'm being serious guys!"
however, the two ignored them and made way to the school. tom walked in silence, figuring out a way to convince them that he was actually tom holland trapped in peter parker's universe.
his heart was racing, mind spinning.
he just wanted to be back in atlanta with y/n.
the three walked into the school, meeting with zendaya mj at her locker.
"hey guys," she smiled, "why's parker look so sketched out."
"something about being in a different universe. i don't think he got much sleep last night." y/c/n said quietly.
"no, i'm telling the truth! you guys have to believe me."
"oh god, not the british accent again." mj complained.
"would you guys just please listen to me!" tom pleaded.
the three of them looked at him skeptical. they all knew that there was a slight chance in the multiverse actually existing, but no one has ever been able to travel through it. yet alone in their sleep.
"you were just fine yesterday," ned shook his head, "i don't understand."
tom huffed and grabbed everyone by their arms before leading them to a quieter section of the school: the library.
"listen, i'm telling the truth."
"okay, prove it." mj crossed her arms.
well, shit. how is he supposed to do that?
"okay, fine," he huffed, "my name is tom holland and i'm the actor who plays peter parker, i'm not actually peter parker. in fact, all of you actually have actors who play you, you're just an onscreen version of us."
mj uncrossed her arms, "still not very convincing."
tom rolled his eyes, good to know zendaya is just as stubborn as mj is, "y/c/n, me and the actress who plays you are dating in my universe, not just in the movie. your actress' name is y/n y/l/n. zendaya is the actress who plays you, mj. ned, the guy who plays you, his name is jacob batalon. all of the actors play you guys, the characters, in the marvel movies."
everyone looked at him dumbfounded.
"but you and mj are..." y/c/n trailed off, "you and i are just best friends."
"i know, but in my universe, you and i are dating."
"like peter parker and y/c/n or you, tom holland and y/n?"
"me and y/n." tom nodded, finally they were starting to understand.
"okay, you have me convinced but i need more proof." mj said.
"how else can i get you to believe me?"
"i don't know, how are we supposed to believe you?" ned said. he had a point, all of this did seem far fetched.
wait, if tom is supposedly peter parker, he wouldn't have peter parker's DNA he would have his own. which means he wouldn't have the radioactive spider bite. which means...
he's not actually spider-man.
"okay, so since i'm tom holland and not peter parker, i don't have the radioactive spider bite. which means i can't do this." tom said, walking up to one of the walls and putting his hands on it. he acted like he was going to wall climb, but because he didn't have his, stickiness as he called it, he failed.
which was the plan. and made mj go wide eyed.
"he's telling the truth."
"okay, so..." ned said, "how do we get you back to your universe and get peter back to ours?"
"i think i know a guy." tom said, leading his group of friends out of the school and down the streets of new york city. thank god he had caught up on all the marvel knowledge and knew as much as he did or else he could've been stuck like this.
"what is she like, y/n?" y/c/n asked tom, ned and mj coming up with different solutions by themselves as tom led the way.
"she's a lot like you, actually," he smiled, "i mean, other than the fact that she looks just like you, she's smart like you, goal driven like you, and she has terrible jokes just like you."
she let out a laugh, rolling her eyes and hitting his arm at the joke he said. he laughed with her, eyes crinkling as he smiled.
"is that why you hugged me earlier?" she asked and tom nodded.
"i thought the same thing happened to her that happened to me. sorry if it was weird or anything."
"no, no it's okay," she smiled, brushing her hair back from the wind, "peter and i have hugged a bunch, it was just strange at how sudden and bone crushing it was."
he let out a laugh, "yeah, sorry about that, too."
"all good," her smile never faded, "sounds like you love her a lot."
"i do."
"good thing we're going to get you back to her."
tom sighed as he stood in front of the building, "i sure hope so."
"dude! this is the sanctum sanctorum!" ned exclaimed, running up to stand next to tom.
"yeah, i know him. so does peter."
"wait, does dr. strange have an actor guy too?"
tom nodded, "everyone does."
"that is sick!"
"even my dad?" y/c/n looked over at tom and it broke his heart to see the sadness in her eyes. god, how was he supposed to explain it to her.
"yeah," he swallowed, "in my universe, your dad's actor robert downey jr, isn't actually dead. just his character, tony stark, is."
she nodded, looking down at her feet, "good to know he's still alive somewhere."
"if it makes you feel any better, y/n and robert are really close. almost father and daughter like, just like the two of you in your universe."
she gave him a small smile, "yeah, thanks tom."
he nodded, opening the door to see benedict dr. strange. the three teenagers and adult explained the situation to strange and after much convincing, strange agreed to send tom back to his universe.
he looked over at the teenagers who helped him, smiling. he hugged all three, his hug with y/c/n making him even more excited to go home and see you.
"tell y/n i said hi."
"yeah, tell this jacob guy i said hey too. if he's anything like me, he must be cool."
tom laughed and pulled mj into a hug.
"i guess say hi to zendaya for me, she sounds pretty awesome."
"she's the dopest friend i have. thanks for believing me, even though it took a lot of convincing." he smiled.
"you're just not very convincing," she said, "no offense."
he laughed, "none taken, i wouldn't have believed me either."
he said his final goodbyes and walked back over to strange who handed him the box containing the spell that would send him home. with a few words, tom was transported back into his room, in his bed. he woke up from a slumber in his own clothes, quickly sitting up and getting up out of bed as he rushed to the living room.
"oh, hey! you're finally up. i couldn't wake you this morning." you smiled from the couch, book in hand. he smiled, feeling overjoyed to see you in front of him.
"you alright, baby?" you asked, getting up and walking over to him. you ran a hand through his messy curls, his hands finding their home on your waist. he pulled you into a hug, kissing your lips sweetly as he took in the smell of your shampoo and perfume. he was home.
"you okay, tommy? did you sleep alright?" you asked, looking up into his brown eyes as they scanned over all your features.
"you'll never believe what just happened to me."

Why hello there fellow earthling can I request something about being Loki's son and being the god of lies?
A/N: Sorry this took so long life was really hectic. This is my first time making a headcanon post like this so it may not be the best but I tried Enjoy!
The God Lies (Loki Laufeyson x Male Reader [Parental])
Tumblr media
• Loki didn't plan on having you. You were the result of a one-night stand with some Midgardian woman Loki found during a trip to earth before the chitauri battle.
• Despite this Loki decided to take you in when he learned about you but kept you at arm's length. Usually, he had Thor or another avenger watch over you and act like actual parents towards you.
• Your feelings towards your father are complicated but you do enjoy the time you get to spend with him.
• You have a tendency to lie on reflex though Loki says it's a byproduct of your godly status. If you're not paying attention to what you're saying you will always lie first.
• Thor absolutely adores you and will bring you with him whenever he can. Thor likes to tell you stories about your father and is the man person trying to get Loki to spend more time with you.
• The Avengers were wary of you at first. The thought of being around someone who constantly lied didn't sit right with them.
• After interacting with them though they started to warm up to you. Steve, Bruce, and Sam were some of the first to change with Natasha, Clint, and Bucky being some of the last.
• Tony would work his magic and get you to transfer to Peter's school where you would become fast friends with Peter and them. (It also doesn't take you long to figure out that he's spider-man.)
• If you want to become an Avenger Loki will be heavily against it. The best your going to get from him is becoming a vigilante that works alongside spider-man a lot.

Peter Parker who was taken under the wing of a man who had all the power in the world, and acted as a father figure. Peter Parker who cared and loved his father figure but also felt an immense guilt and mixed feelings about him due to him being the opposite of everything Peter stands for, and on a more meta level, being this universe’s equivalent of Norman Osborn for Peter in a lot of ways- ( Billionaire, Profits off military technology/dangerous weapons that put people in harms way, in some ways could be read as people with a pull yourself up from your bootstraps mentality, and always being focused on the big picture instead of looking out for the little guy. )
When Tony Stark dies, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is expected to take on the mantle of Stark Industries and facing world ending threats just like Tony, but also all the baggage he carried. Peter is gripped with complex feelings on if he even is allowed to be sad- or if he should even be questioning his grief at all, and if questioning his grief makes him a horrible person. Is taking over Stark Industries an extension of his responsibility, or would it be an inherently wrong act?
The MCU missed so many opportunities to play around with Peter’s morality in a context where he exists in the same universe as the Avengers, they do it a bit in No Way Home but not nearly enough! Let Peter have complex moral conflicts and a strict moral code that is challenged! What’s the difference between stopping someone for good by mercifully ending their life, or angrily trying to kill Norman Osborn, a man not always in control of his actions, but who is also in a similar boat as Tony Stark? Are these the same or different? Is killing ever okay, and is encouraging and propping up figures like Tony Stark ever okay?

The amount of tissues that you had gone through could fill an entire building. The amount of rants you had gone on could create a very lengthy podcast. The amount of times you had cried yourself to sleep were too many to count.
The amount of times Peter let his shoulder be yours to cry on was a number higher than he was familiar with. The amount of things he thought of to cheer you up could fill many books. The amount of times he pushed down his suffering to help you was beyond unhealthy.
It had been a month since your father, the great Tony Stark, had sacrificed himself to save the universe.
At first you had hated him, and Peter had sat through every single one of your angry tirades about how he died, not caring who he left behind.
It hadn’t taken long for you to soften up about it though, crying more often because you had come to realize that your father had given his life so that you and everybody else could have a better future, Peter helped you realize that.
All of that time he had spent helping you, without ever asking for anything in return, had started to nag at you a little bit in the back of your mind.
Sure, Peter was not at all the type of guy to do something nice for others and expect the gesture to be reciprocated, but he had been there for you for so long at this point, that you hadn’t even stopped your own grieving to see how his life was going.
“Hey, n/n,” Peter’s voice floated in from the kitchen to your room, “I’m back! And I brought dinner from that restaurant you like!”
You stood up from where you were perched on the end of your bed in your room and made your way to the cooking area, where he was moving things out of bags and putting them on plates for the two of you to eat together.
Your mother and younger sister, Morgan, weren’t home for the day. They were out looking for a school to enroll Morgan in now that everything had at least slowed down a bit.
A small frown pulled at your lips as you thought about your earlier inquiries, “How are you doing, Peter?” You called out to him softly.
He glanced up at you with a grin, “I’m doing great,” He replied cheerfully before returning his gaze back to the task at hand.
You shook your head slightly, “No, I mean, how are you doing?”
The boy's movements stilled and his gaze flickered down to the floor before he quickly plastered a smile on his face, “I think the real question is, how are you?”
His eyes roamed up and down your face as he looked for any signs that you had been crying again.
Your frown deepened, “Peter.”
Before the blip, he had been a couple months older than you, and even after everyone came back- when you were five years older than him- he still tried to act as if he were the elder one.
He sighed, placing a plate of food down on the counter, “Y/n.” He echoed in the same tone.
“Talk to me,” you said softly, moving around the counter so that you were in front of him.
He looked away from you, trying to let it escape your notice that his eyes had begun to fill with tears. It didn’t, and seeing that made your already broken heart crack a little bit more.
A gentle hand was placed on the side of his face, “Peter,” you were practically begging by that point.
The Parker boy let out a shaky breath, releasing a low, watery chuckle, “Mr. Stark made me promise to look after you,” it was almost as if he was talking to himself at a rapid pace, “But even if he hadn’t, I still would have. You’re my best friend and-“
You cut him off by wrapping your arms around the younger boy and bringing him into a hug, “I’m more than your best friend, Peter. I’m your sister.”
A small sob escaped him as he wrapped his arms tighter around you, burying his face into the smooth fabric of your shirt.
“Talk to me.” The demand was soft, but it was enough to break through the last of his shields.
“He’s really gone,” Though it had been a while of him convincing you of that very statement, it was as if he never really believed it himself, “and I was gone, and I come back to you being older than me now-“
You knew that you should’ve felt a sense of betrayal at him not trusting you enough to open up to you, but you knew it wasn’t that. You had been so wrapped up in your own blanket of feelings and selfishness that you didn’t see that the person right in front of you was hurting too. And a strong sense of guilt lay heavy on your shoulders at that realization.
“I’m sorry,” You whispered through tears of your own, “I’m so, so sorry.”
The two of you stayed like that, wrapped up in each others arms, giving comfort without saying a word as the long forgotten food went cold against the counter.
“It’s not your fault.” He finally croaked out, “It’s not, I promise you, it’s not.”
Another sob slipped through your lips at his words, not replying as you wrapped your arms around him even tighter.

So I think you mentioned a little while ago that Spider-Man and Iron Man's relationship in the comics is slightly hostile, and now I'm wondering what Spidey's relationships with Captain America and Iron Man has generally been like in the comics and if any synergy with the MCU regarding them has happened since the films?
I don't remember saying that, but it's certainly true that Spider-Man and Iron Man have had their ups and downs, especially in the wake of Civil War (although that was a while ago).
At the moment, Zeb Wells' current run has involved Spider-Man alienating his friends in the Fantastic Four and Avengers in order to (save MJ) get him to rely on Norman Osborn, so Spider-Man isn't really getting along well with either Tony or Steve at the moment. He's stolen tech from Tony, and his last conversation with Steve didn't go so well:

Overall, I would say there are some important differences between Spider-Man and Iron Man and Cap's relationship in the MCU and in the Marvel Universe. In the MCU, Spider-Man was essentially discovered by Iron Man and viewed Tony Stark as a father figure, which is one major complaint that some Spider-Man fans have had with the Tom Holland movies.
In the comics, their relationship is more on an even footing, because Spider-Man's career began without any involvement from Tony Stark - indeed, Spider-Man and Iron Man didn't really interact until 1973, over a decade into Peter Parker's comics career. Generally, Peter thinks of Tony as something of a scientific rival and as the somewhat unstable rich friend who bankrolls the Avengers.

As for Captain America/Steve Rogers, in the MCU Spider-Man doesn't really think of him very much except as the guy from Brooklyn he got in a fight with in his first outing as a superhero. The two didn't interact very much after that.
In the comics, their relationship is very different, with Peter Parker generally looking to Steve Rogers as an unimpeachable moral figure. That speech from Civil War about standing like a tree by the river of truth and telling the world to move? In the comics, that's Steve talking to Peter about changing sides on the Registration Act and taking up arms against Tony Stark.
Tumblr media
So no, I don't really see much in the way of synergy.
