Irondad fic ideas #104

Fic set a while after Civil War where Spider-Man has been kidnapped. Tony, desperate, breaks down and calls the Rogues for help.

All of the Rogues notice how dedicated Tony is to finding his friend. It'd be admirable if it wasn't also kind of terrifying. He doesn't even seem to have the energy to still be mad at them; he's completely single-focus.

(Maybe Steve even tries to apologize and Tony just stops him like, "God I do not have time for this. Help me get Spider-Man back alive and I'll forgive you." "…just like that?" "Yes. Why are you still here?")

All of this leads to a raid on a Hydra base. The team finally locates Spider-Man, who has clearly been the victim of brutal medical torture and is kind of out of it and terrified and…is a kid?

The team is shocked. The kid is still freaking out (maybe he's drugged, or just that traumatized, or he doesn't recognize these armed strangers and thinks they're with the kidnappers), when Tony finally bursts into the room.

Peter chokes out, "Dad?"

Big hugging crying comforting scene, Tony's holding onto this kid desperately, terrified, and the Rogues behind him are just like… ?!??????

How did none of them EVER KNOW that Tony had a son? Is this new or has he been there the whole time? Now that they think back on it, it's clear that Rhodey, Pepper, and Happy knew what was going on. Clint recalls Tony's frantic behavior during the search, recognizes the protective, panicked way he's holding onto Peter, sees how even though Peter is still crying, he's also melted onto Tony now, like he can finally trust that he's completely safe. He reflects on his own past judgements of Tony and feels inexplicably ashamed. Steve is, predictably, guilty and heartbroken. They're all just so shocked.

Can I ask your top 10 fav fics ever (from any fandom, if you don't mind)?

Also, just curious, is there a story behind your name "animit-y "?

It’s actually just supposed to be read as “Animity”, but I couldn’t get it has my user.. Anyways! The story is when I was younger, on SketchClub, and Art app with a community feature, I needed a user. So I just kinda combined the words Animosity and Anemone. I was pretty young at the time, but it stuck! :)

For the fics, I have about 600 fics bookmarked on Ao3 rn, and I’m a huge multi-fandom kind of person so I’d say it’s genuinely really difficult to pick even a few of my favs. That being said, I’ll show some of my Favorite Recently read fics!

1. Cannibalization of the Apex by CharmPoint — SatoSugu / Complete / 55k words / Canon Divergence AU where Gojo dies and comes back as a cursed spirit. 10/10 especially if you want to CRY.

2. Anchor by valleykey — SatoSugu / Complete / 14k words / Alternate Universe where Geto is the strongest Cursed Spirit naturally and Gojo is the strongest sorcer ofc. 8/10 I also cried to this one, it’s genuinely so good.

3. A Peacemaker’s Sorrow by TiredDemi — BingYuan / Complete / 322k words / AU where Shen Yuan is reincarnated as Shen Jiu’s younger brother and grows up along side him, changing things as he goes. I’m still currently reading this, but it’s been my Fav svsss fic I’ve read so far. 9/10 even tho it’s 322k words, it’s so worth the long read.

4. Tongfang by The Feels Whale (miscellea) — BingYuan / Complete / 24k words / SY is reincarnated as some Random cannon fodder family that Binghe grows up serving part time. “Or: that one where young Luo Binghe’s career goal is ‘Bride’.” 8/10, this author is genuinely so funny, if you want smth lighthearted this is the one!

5. Reki’s Totally Real Canadian Boyfriend by JustGettingBy — Reki/Langa / Complete / 4k words / College AU 5 + 1 things where Reki’s classmates are convince Reki’s lying to them about having a boyf. 8/10 it’s so cute and fluffy, if you want a lil laugh this is so good!

6. it’s a bird, it’s a cat, it’s… by SweetLittleSunflower — Eventual HotWings / An ongoing Series of works about Sphinx Mutation Izuku being taken care of by Dabi and Hawks. 8/10, really freaking cute!

7. Burn your Wings by oWhiteKiwibird — TodoDeku / Complete / 179k words / Izuku has a fire quirk, and also as many daddy issues as Todo! 9/10 super well written, the parallels between TodoDeku are really nice!

8. Itsy Bitsy Spider by Angeeelatin — No Romantic pairings, Tony & Peter / Complete / 4k words / Peter makes himself an army of Spider AIs and forgets to tell anyone. Shenanigans ensue. 9/10, it’s so funny, the avengers just.. think he can talk to spiders

9. Good Publicity by Bergen — Established Tony/Pepper, focus on Tony & Peter / Complete / 16k words / Tony takes care of Mute Peter for good PR and ends up just basically adopting him. 10/10 my main pairing on ao3 is Tony & Peter cause I LIVE for their father & son dynamic!

10. Dark Matter by mysterycyclone — No Romantic pairing / WIP / 221k words / Peter gets transported into Gotham City, Almost Dies, meets the BatFam, and a bunch of other this. 15/10 it’s not even complete but this is for sure one of my top 10 fics of all time!

Luckily the Avenger’s like to discuss vigilantes over breakfast. A small tingle of non-spidey-sense-related nerves flutter in his stomach when Tony complains about the lack of cameras in Queens, but it isn’t until the heroes start suggesting possible people or personalities for the man behind the spider mask that he realizes he has no clue what’s going on.

And the truth of the matter is

"You want to understand? You ask me WHY? You want the truth? THE REAL TRUTH, CLINT? When they said some one was gonna adopt me I was curious and happy. But then I learn that the one who got adopted was Dusk and not me." tears started to gather in her eyes. Voice shaking. Hands wondering around her pockets. Looking for something little to bring her some release.

"[Y/N], that's not an excuse of your actions." everyone eyed Steve with the evidence of shock in their eyes.

"Steve, don't start now." Tony was getting irritated, he had seen this exact look a long time ago. In the face of his loved one.

"Shut the fuck up, old man! You've never wanted me! You don't want anyone in your life expect for that SHIELD's Founder! But news flash, she is dead! Had a great life without you too! Why can't you just let it go?!" [Y/N] shouted, meaning every word she said. Tears of sadness and anger leaking down her cheeks.

"Know your place, kid." Steve had straighten up his shoulders. In an attempt of appearing bigger in her eyes.

"What if I don't?!" she was trying his limits, as well as hers and her friends.

"Y—"

"Shut up, Steve! Just shut up!" Iron man cut off his 'friend's' words.

"How I talk to my daughter is not your business, Tony. She did something wrong which deserves a punishment."

"You, your murder machine friend and SHIELD are enough of a punishment to her!" the stern look in his eyes was telling a tragic story.

"I know it's hard for you to understand but keep your egoistical self out of this, Stark. Because not everything's about you."

"Says the man who's the king of melancholia." muttered [Y/N], getting Captain's attention back on her.

In her room [Y/N] sat on the floor, her back against the door. She had her arms wrapped around her legs keeping them close to her chest. On the floor, right next to [Y/N], there was an empty needle. She could hear them fighting but she couldn't careless as the drugs had hit her brain.

Not just another Bloody Mary

It had been hours since the girl last seen by the team. [Y/N]'s breaths had become shallow as the drug's done it's work. She, for once felt at peace as the non-talked sleepiness took over her body.

She looked up, confused, at the door knob. She thought what was wrong with this stranger and the way they knocked on the door. The knocking repeated itself. [Y/N] let out a frustrated sigh as she tried to get up. Key word, tried. She hold onto the knob, pulling herself on her shaking legs. Before she could turn the knob she fell down with a thud. Alerted, the stranger at the door –Peter–asked if she was okay.

After getting no response, he invited himself in.

What Peter saw when he got in the room was one of the most scariest things he had ever seen, even though he is a crime fighter spider. [Y/N] was laying on her side not moving and lips turned blue. He knew she was breathing or at least trying to, her heart rate was slowing down too drawing her near death more. Peter wondered why FRIDAY didn't send them any notification then remembered what his friend was best at. Hackinc.

"Mr. Stark!" he bend down next to [Y/N].

"What's wrong kid?" Tony asked as he came by the door.

"She needs medical attention."

Tony stood there like he didn't hear Peter. He continued to stare ahead. They needed to move fast if they wanted her to stay alive.

Starker: Adopting A Child

Peter's hand was sweaty where he was holding Tony's as they entered the hospital. They had been waiting for this day for so long that it felt surreal to finally be there for the big day - the day that they were adopting their first child. They had been on the waiting list for nearly a year now and this morning they received the call that there was a baby in the hospital that was waiting for their new parents to adopt them.

Luckily they had already bought all the baby stuff they could think of when they decided that they wanted to adopt, so the baby's room was already set up and stocked. Because when Tony told Peter that they needed to go to the hospital to meet their baby, there wasn't any time to think about basic stuff like that. They simply jumped into the car and had Happy drive them there.

After they entered the hospital, they were shown to the floor where the newborns were taken care of. The elevator ride took forever and Peter wanted to bounce out of the walls with excitement and anxiety. Tony's touch and reassurement was the only thing grounding him on the way up.

When they entered the station, they were met by a lovely nurse who clearly was used to deal with excited new parents because she gave them quick instructions and then immediately led them to a room with a little crib.

Peter slowly walked into the room and over to the crib to look inside, nervous now that it was finally happening. But all his nervousness vanished when he took a first look at the baby - their little baby girl, the cutest baby that ever existed. Peter started tearing up the moment those little eyes landed on him and again it was Tony, who embraced him from behind to also get a look at the baby, who grounded him.

With shaking hands, Peter took the little girl out out of the crib. Beaming he turned around to show her to Tony, who was just was moved by the moment.

Not taking his eyes off her, Tony asked, "Now that you hold her, what do you think we should name her?" They had discussed names before of course, coming up with some wild options as well as more realistic ones, but had wanted to see the baby before deciding which was the right name.

And so Peter looked at her again, at her little head that was already full of dark hair and into her brown eyes, and said, "I think she looks like a Morgan."

"Well then, welcome to the family, Morgan Stark", Tony said smiling. "Let's get you home."
