human value
how much is a life worth?
does it depend on what they've brought to the world? whether they have children or not? how good of a person they are?
sometimes i'm not sure if anything matters. if anyone matters.
this planet has been here for billions of years. presumably it will be here after we are gone.
all of us. perhaps even the species won't survive. that is how it seems for now.
there are so many things i worry about on a day to day basis. but i generally come back to thinking of how i spend my time. whether i'm enjoying my life.
and maybe that is why most people don't give a fuck about anything or anyone but themselves. why most people can't be bothered to fight the good fight. they're too busy surviving and trying to have a good time while they do so.
they only have so many fucks to give.
so do i.
so.. don't take it personally. but i don't think i can care what happens to humanity anymore. or about other people as deeply as i used to.
there is no us vs them. there is no right or wrong.
my loyalty is to me.

“It’s not ‘natural’ to speak well, eloquently, in an interesting articulate way. People living in groups, families, communes say little–have few verbal means. Eloquence–thinking in words–is a byproduct of solitude, deracination, a heightened painful individuality.”

being born lonely is so fucking suffocating bc you feel like no matter who you do or who you’re with deep down you’re just not palatable to other people. something about you is so inherently other and nothing can ever dispel that. and it haunts you w every social situation you walk into but you just have to be okay w it for the rest of your life

“If a friend of mine gave a feast, and did not invite me to it, I should not mind a bit. but if a friend of mine had a sorrow and refused to allow me to share it, I should feel it most bitterly. If he shut the doors of the house of mourning against me, I would move back again and again and beg to be admitted so that I might share in what I was entitled to share. If he thought me unworthy, unfit to weep with him, I should feel it as the most poignant humiliation.”

aliens, conspiracies, and power dynamics
so like.. sigh.
our world is really fucked up. and it has been orchestrated by certain groups, certain families, and forces for some time.
a long time.
for the same length of time humans have been visited. i know there are many of you who don't believe. who haven't had experiences. who would rather explain away EVERY single phenomena as "stupid humans durr"
i get that. there isn't much mystery to human ignorance, fear, and hate.
but there is a lot of mystery on this planet. there is a lot of mystery surrounding humans and our origins. our history.
and that mystery has followed humanity into present times.
humans have been in contact with "alien" life forms. whatever you want to call it - they're not homo sapiens. and they've been abducting people, putting on light shows, and otherwise being creeps around military installations for a long time.
what does this have to do with our world fucking itself?
well, imagine not needing oil. not needing capitalism. not needing governments as we know them. imagine being free, healthy, and safe, because your civilization is so evolved that it is possible.
technologically and socially evolved.
but there are people who are in power who would rather stay in power.
do aliens need to be involved for this to play out? for governments to have advanced techology and knowledge that they're keeping to themselves? no.
but are aliens involved?
something not-human is involved in our development. and from the data compiled there are multiple factions influencing things (just like with humans)(and some are fascists and some are not)
and so.. we do what we can. but what can we do about aliens? about advanced sentient beings who may be capable of telepathy, reality manipulation, or whatever else we consider magic?
communication.
some of you out there are already able to communicate with otherworldly beings. some of you have already experienced your evidence or know someone who has.
i think it is clear that we have a lot to learn from whoever has been here. i think some of them are worth trying to communicate with and some aren't (just like with humans)
this is a very delicate and ridiculous subject. but our world is delicate and ridiculous. beautiful and horrifying in both its simplicity and its complexity.
if any of the information that has been compiled and brought forth over the years about UFOs and ET contact is true ... then humanity has always had a lot on its plate. and we have a lot to do.
so if anyone else understands..
communicate.

genocide
i think the most horrific thing about this is that humans have been killing each other a lot and in many ways for thousands of years now
out of ignorance, hate, and other vices
why does it matter sometimes? palestine is just one more victim in a long line. from africa to india, to japan to america.
men women and children are being killed by their governments, by other governments. by their police officers .. by the systems which they use to subsist.
it's all bad. ofc it is even worse when it is justified. it isn't justified, really. but somehow people make a case for it, through their mental gymnastics.
and we are here, in 2023... kill ourselves and everything else.
for what? capitalism? democracy? imperialism? greed?
can't humans do better?
but i know the answer: yes. of course. we just have to do something about the people who don't want to do anything. or want this to happen
but what? what's acceptable? how do we go about it?
we live in a world where "regular people" are also racists, sexists, and fascists. what do we do with them? we live in a world where the most powerful and privilege believe the same ignorant and stupid things as the most uneducated and hateful. what do we do with them? how?
what sort of system of government and/or way of life can get us out of this?
anarchy? 100% freedom equals 100% responsibility. but no man is an island and i personally can't trust anyone.
can you?
idk. i think our world is fucked without help.

untenable
the point of this blog was to point out everything i could. about the world and people. it wasn't to be optimistic no matter what. nor was it to be cynical.
i was just trying to share as much truth about as many things as i could.
but honestly: i have a focus. that focus is primarily a spiritual one.
i know. many people have hang ups about beliefs about gods. about superstitions and magic. about anything that is not material, even.
but to this day the mind, the spirit, and the unknown, are a huge part of the human experience. we are still discovering things about ourselves, our world, and our cosmos.
consciousness may be a fundamental facet of reality. and what a reality it is. one filled with things many would rather ignore than to grapple with.
i get it. the world is plenty fucked up and mysterious without adding aliens, cryptids, magic, or spirituality to the mix.
but these things ARE a part of reality. whether we drag our feet properly investigating them makes them no less real. just like being ignorant doesn't make electricity any less dangerous.
and perhaps (well, it is likely) there are much more evolved beings out there. sentient in a way that we cannot comprehend, that have understandings and abilities that are like magic to us.
what then? are we to be like some of our ancestors? to bow and quake and to give in blindly to their authority? or would we be like other ancestors - who explored and asked questions?
even when they were scared? or alone? or very weird?
and i fall into the all of the above categories. but i can't leave it alone. i think that consciousness and those sorts of mysteries hold the answers to many of our issues.

i can't imagine being understood (but i am, a little bit)
so.
i'm probably not a normal human being. bc whatever humans currently have going on - i'm not it. not like that.
and you could say, "necessity is the mother of invention" within evolution. human beings need to evolve. so there are probably those of us who are.. "better" for a world that is NOT like this one. ofc i'm aware that humans have an ability to self determine that is more intricate than other species (seemingly)
if we're going to survive as a species.. we need humans which are NOT like the ones who are part of the problems.
right?
but that also means.. we are the ones who lead by example. the issue with that being is that most people - despite what they say - are not really on this wavelength.
of responsibility to the earth and to one another and to a better world
and what that actually looks like.
every minority who has truly sat with the ugliness of the world gets it. anyone who has enough willingness to see with clarity gets it.
we can't keep avoiding our issues - whether personal, or generational, or class specific, or whatever biases we may have.
i get it. there are some real human shit stains out there. i've met them. i've also met really hurt and traumatized people. sometimes they're the same person.
i think.. we all just need better. for ourselves and our world. from ourselves and our world. from each other. i don't know how to get that without.. understanding. without communication and transparency.
the willingness to learn needs to be there. it can't just be all compassion, right? you have to understand.

That post that's like "stop writing characters who talk like they're trying to get a good grade in therapy" really blew the door wide open for me about how common it's become for a character's emotional intelligence to not be taken into consideration when writing conflict. I remember the first time I went to therapy I had such a hard time even identifying what I was feeling, let alone had the language to explain it to someone else. Of course there are plenty of people who've never been to therapy a day in their life who are in tune to their emotions. But even they would have some trouble expressing themselves sometimes. You have to take into account there are plenty of people who are uncomfortable expressing themselves and people who think they're not allowed to feel certain ways. It also makes for more interesting conflict to have characters with different levels of understanding.

Hungry
When I finally get hungry, it's already too late.
I've ignored most of the warning signals up to this point, so what I'm experiencing is something akin to a last resort.
My body is yelling "Fire!"
The hole in my stomach is there. Along with the irritability, the shakiness, the dizziness.
I should've ate 6 hours ago.
And no matter how closely I pay attention I will miss the initial signals.
Because I've gotten used to it. Used to ignoring the warning signs. To toughing it out. To letting it go "until it really matters".
How many more times can I do this to myself before I suddenly feint one day?
Maybe I'll hit my (abnormally) hard head and finally be done with it all.
But I know it won't come that easy. Nothing ever does.

i want to give and give and give until she begs me to stop.
until she scratches my back and moans in my ear while her legs shake
"i can't take any more"
"you feel too good"
that would satisfy me. that would make me come.
and i would want to give more again
