Walks up to a couple: Soo, which one of you is the Prussian-born monarch with emotional baggage and which is the overly dramatic French philosopher they can't help but keep throwing their money at?

Piracy and Enlightenment
There's the historical connection between enlightenment and pirates
We all know the pirates are lawbreakers but there's a connection between enlightenment and Piracy on the same time
Piracy had been a very long time to this day, especially Golden Age of Piracy dates from 1650s-1730s
Age of Enlightenment (or Age of Reason) dates from 1685-1815 was a movement with intellectual and philosophical influences and effects.
The movement's main ideas are humanity, reason, descience and liberty. The Enlightenment influence two grandest revolutions, the American revolution and French Revolution. The two revolutions influenced other countries independence in following years
Also, there are enlightened ideas of modern democracy, including vote for rights
Pirate government system is modern democracy. They have voting election to elect new captain or new second mate.
Some enlightened ideas about natural human rights (life, liberty, and property). Enlightened philosophers wanted to improve human conditions on earth than concern with skepticism
In Piracy, being aboard on pirate ships are more civilized than life on merchant ships that merchant sailors were treated poorly there. Piracy also offered to poor men who are unemployed. Pirates may be respect to each other despite their different backgrounds.
Since American Revolution influenced by enlightenment ideals, some pirates help America free from Britain
Pirate code was influenced by enlightenment as US Constitution, despite they have different similarities on their own and each other. And it has significant on process of American democracy.
So that means Pirates are enlightened rebels on the sea

Aquarius New Moon has made me feel so stuck…
In fact all Aquarius transits make me feel trapped, confused and like I’m in an illusion. I always feel the clawing & gnawing urge to be free. It’s like a lightbulb goes off & suddenly release I’m not actually living the life I want and deserve. Aquarius transits tend to snap me out of auto-pilot mode or the overproduction and overconsumption mode. Instead of just working, spending, eating, learning and producing to just be doing better or something that feels like achievement, progression or contentment— I’m called to actually do something that will truly free & fulfill my soul and energy ( it’s usually leaving ✈️ ).
I think this is called a “existential crisis.” I have these every new & full Aquarius moon ( unfortunately) 🌌 💭

Excitedly started telling my friend about some 18th century drama (V/Émilie/Fritz, may have thrown Catherine and Diderot in there, possibly moved onto ancient Rome at some point though I cannot say for sure) and she just blinked and asked "is this like, from a fan fiction?"
Which honestly, fair. The level of insanity is so high that it does sound made up. But I have the receipts, I have the letters.
Moral of the story, the past is often wonderfully weird and beautiful and more people should know about it instead of seeing history as nothing but a long list of kings and battles!

I find it really funny that some guy in the 18th century got so mad at the encyclopedia to the point of writing a full lenght play mocking it and it's writers, but I find it even funnier that the creator of the encyclopedia responded to this by writing a novel about a hypothetical worst person ever and making that person a good friend of that guy

Hearing voices occurs in every culture and has often been accorded great importance – the gods of Greek myth often spoke to mortals, and the gods of the great monotheistic traditions, too. Voices have been significant in this regard, perhaps more so than visions, for voices, languages, can convey an explicit message or command as images alone cannot.
Until the eighteenth century, voices – like visions – were ascribed to supernatural agencies: gods or demons, angels or djinns. No doubt there was sometimes an overlap between such voices and those of psychosis or hysteria, but for the most part, voices were not regarded as pathological; if they stayed inconspicuous and private, they were simply accepted as part of human nature, part of the way it was with some people.
Around the middle of the eighteenth century, a new secular philosophy started to gain ground with the philosophers and scientists of the Enlightenment, and hallucinatory visions and voices came to be seen as having a physiological basis in the overactivity of certain centers in the brain.
But the romantic idea of “inspiration” still held, too – the artist, especially the writer, was seen or saw himself as the transcriber, the amaneunsis, of a Voice, and sometimes had to wait years (as Rilke did) for the Voice to speak.
  —  Hallucinations (Oliver Sacks)

When those nodes move into Pisces and Virgo— it’s really gonna give “The second coming of Christ” & “Ascension”. My mom just gave me a whole speech about Lucifer & Jesus Christ. She claims in 2 years, Jesus is coming and the world is ending………
