Pluto generations
Aries (1823 - 1851)
The presence of Pluto in Aries defines a generation marked by a pioneering and assertive spirit, reflecting a profound longing for independence. Those influenced by this placement often take on key roles in instigating social change and revolutionizing established systems. Historical events from 1823 to 1852, such as the Wars for Latin American Independence, the First Opium War, and the Women's Rights Convention, exemplify the transformative impact of this astrological configuration.
Taurus (1852 - 1881)
Pluto's position in Taurus defines a generation characterized by unwavering perseverance, determination, and a profound connection to the material realm. These individuals prioritize stability, security, and the sustainable use of resources, leaving a lasting imprint on economic systems and environmental consciousness. Notably, during Pluto's transit in Taurus, the Industrial Revolution surged forward, marked by the rise of corporate structures in industries like railroads and steam engines.
Gemini (1882 – 1913)
The generation under the influence of Pluto in Gemini witnessed the dawn of the Second Industrial Revolution, aptly named the Technological Revolution. These individuals, marked by intellectual curiosity and adaptability, excelled in communication and media, significantly shaping cultural and technological progress. The era marked the birth of influential figures like John Maynard Keynes and Benito Mussolini, along with German scientist Robert Koch's identification of the tuberculosis bacterium. Notably, the First World War occurred during this period, bringing significant changes in all areas of life.
Cancer (1914 -1938)
Pluto in Cancer signifies a generation characterized by deep emotional sensitivity, nurturing instincts, and strong family values. Living through World War I, the Spanish flu pandemic, and the Great Depression, they grew up in a challenging era that shaped their conservative outlook. This generation, often referred to as the "Greatest Generation," prioritized family, spirituality, and adherence to societal norms. While their emphasis on politeness and chivalry had positive aspects, it also gave rise to dark elements such as sexist gender roles, racial segregation, and cultural supremacy.
Leo (1939 – 1958)
Pluto in Leo defines a generation marked by a quest for self-expression, creativity, and a hunger for recognition. Born during historical events like the Nazi invasion of Poland and the Battle of Stalingrad, these individuals challenged authority, imprinting their influence on art, entertainment, and leadership styles. Ruled by the Sun, Pluto in Leo symbolizes a fresh start after periods of war and chaos, fostering a sense of self-value and confidence. This prideful, generous, and naturally leadership-oriented generation, however, tends to resist change and stands firm in their philosophies as a fixed sign.
Virgo (1957 – 1971)
Pluto in Virgo defines a generation marked by a robust work ethic, practicality, and an innate drive for perfection. Born during pivotal events such as the first documented AIDS cases and Martin Luther King Jr.'s iconic "I Have a Dream" speech, these individuals contribute to societal shifts in health, wellness, and environmental consciousness. Ruled by Mercury, Pluto in Virgo emphasizes efficiency and hard work, fostering reliability, trustworthiness, and empathy. This generation focuses on rebuilding and technology, epitomizing an era of research and preparation, notably during the Cold War.
Libra (1972 – 1983)
Pluto in Libra defines a generation marked by a profound yearning for harmony, justice, and equality. With Venusian qualities, these individuals are inherently social, compassionate, and value connections with others. The events during their time, such as the end of the Vietnam War, the introduction of VHS, and the rise of personal computers, align with their commitment to justice and duty for the collective. This generation, while not necessarily seeking radical societal reshaping, is more focused on preserving law and order, offering assistance to those in need, and rectifying wrongs through the pursuit of justice.
Scorpio (1984 – 1995)
Pluto in Scorpio defines a generation marked by intensity, depth, and profound transformation, playing a pivotal role in societal shifts related to power dynamics, sexuality, and psychological exploration. While the preceding Pluto in Libra generation advocated for balance, Pluto in Scorpio pushed the limits, ushering in events like the Gulf War, the end of the Cold War, and the advent of the World Wide Web. Resilient and empowered, they navigated constant transformations, developing a keen ability to adapt and thrive through each metamorphosis. This generation also contributed to a shifting cultural perspective on sexuality.
Sagittarius (1996 – 2008)
Pluto in Sagittarius shapes a generation marked by a thirst for knowledge, cultural exchange, and a global perspective, contributing significantly to societal shifts in education, philosophy, and belief systems. This generation, embodies the archer's bravery and fearlessness, fostering a spirit of rebellion and outspokenness. Sagittarius' affinity for networking and socializing with individuals from various nations aligns with the rise of the internet, a tool that facilitates global connectivity. Key events during this period include the successful cloning of Dolly the sheep, the introduction of the Euro to financial markets, and the groundbreaking launch of the iPhone in 2007.
Capricorn (2008 – 2023)
Pluto in Capricorn defines a generation marked by ambition, pragmatism, and a distinct focus on challenging traditional structures, leading to transformative changes in politics, business, and governance. Ruled by Saturn, this era, encompassing events such as the launch of Bitcoin, the Syrian civil war, Edward Snowden's revelations on mass surveillance, and the COVID-19 pandemic, unfolded amidst the Great Recession and the rise of social media. The influence of Saturn instils a commitment to rules, regulations, and social changes that align with a desire for structure and order.
Aquarius (2024 – 2044)
Pluto in Aquarius heralds a generation marked by innovation, individuality, and an impassioned pursuit of freedom and social progress. The current era unfolds amid a new global order, carrying both anticipation and uncertainty. Emerging from the constraining Capricorn era, Aquarius brings a promise of hope, healing, and a future-focused mindset.
Pisces (2044 – 2067)
Pluto in Pisces gives rise to a generation marked by empathy, spirituality, and a deepening of the collective consciousness, contributing to societal shifts in compassion, art, and transcendence. As one era concludes and another begins, this period signals the resurgence of spirituality, with people connecting profoundly to the universe through meditation and prayer. Anticipated as a peaceful time with minimal conflict, technological progress may temporarily slow after the Aquarius era's boom. This wise generation is poised to challenge traditional norms, potentially leading to the disappearance of gender roles, marking a significant chapter in human evolution.

CREATING AUTHENTIC DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING CHARACTERS: A WRITER'S JOURNAL
Introduction
Creating authentic characters in your writing is essential for engaging storytelling, and this includes characters who are deaf or hard of hearing. To craft a character that accurately represents this community, it's crucial to do your research, gain a deep understanding of their experiences, and portray them with sensitivity and respect. In this journal, we'll explore how to write a deaf or hard-of-hearing character, including key information and preparation steps.
Understanding Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Characters
Research: Start by researching deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals' experiences, challenges, and culture. Read books, articles, and personal stories, and watch documentaries or interviews featuring members of the Deaf community.
Consult with Experts: Reach out to members of the Deaf community or experts in Deaf studies to gain insights into their experiences. They can provide invaluable guidance and help you avoid common misconceptions.
Diversity Within the Community: Understand that the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities are diverse. Some individuals communicate using sign language, while others rely on lip-reading, cochlear implants, or hearing aids. Be aware of these differences when creating your character.
Character Development
Backstory and Identity: Consider your character's background. Were they born deaf, or did they become deaf later in life? How do they identify within the Deaf community? Understanding their identity and experiences will shape their character.
Language and Communication: Decide how your character communicates. Are they fluent in sign language, or do they primarily rely on lip-reading and spoken language? Their communication style will influence their interactions with other characters.
Cultural Awareness: Explore the cultural aspects of the Deaf community. Understand the importance of Deaf culture, including its history, art, and values. Incorporate these elements into your character's life when relevant.
Writing Tips
Dialogue and Communication: When writing dialogue for a deaf or hard-of-hearing character, be mindful of their unique communication style. Use visual cues, body language, and facial expressions to convey emotions and context.
Access to Information: Consider the challenges your character may face in accessing information. This could involve issues with closed captioning, subtitles, or accommodations in educational or work settings.
Social Interactions: Depict social interactions realistically. Show how your character navigates conversations, group dynamics, and social events within their community and with hearing individuals.
Preparation
Sensitivity Readers: Consider hiring sensitivity readers who are part of the Deaf or hard-of-hearing community to review your work and provide feedback. Their insights can help you avoid stereotypes and inaccuracies.
Learn Sign Language: If your character uses sign language, take the time to learn at least basic signs. This will not only enrich your writing but also demonstrate your commitment to accuracy.
Beta Readers: Seek feedback from a diverse group of beta readers who can assess the authenticity of your character and offer constructive criticism.
Engage with the Community: Attend Deaf community events, workshops, or online forums to immerse yourself in the culture and better understand the perspectives and experiences of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
Creating a deaf or hard-of-hearing character that resonates with readers requires dedication, empathy, and thorough research. By following these steps and embracing the rich culture and diversity of the Deaf community, you can create a character that is not only authentic but also promotes understanding and inclusivity in your writing. In addition, when writing dialogue for your deaf or hard-of-hearing character, remember:
It's important to clarify why, when writing dialogue for a deaf character, you should continue to use structured English grammar and not sign language structured grammar.
Maintaining Structured English Grammar:
Readability: Writing in structured English grammar ensures that the text remains accessible and comprehensible to all readers, including those who may not be familiar with sign language or Deaf culture. It avoids potential confusion that could arise from using sign language grammar in written text.
Universal Understanding: English is a global language, and adhering to its grammar rules allows for a wider audience to understand and engage with your story. Sign language grammar varies between different sign languages, making it less universally applicable in written form.
Respect for the Medium: While sign language is a rich and expressive mode of communication, it is primarily a visual and gestural language. Attempting to replicate sign language grammar in written text can be cumbersome and may not fully capture the nuances of sign language communication.
Balance of Realism and Readability: Striking a balance between authenticity and readability is crucial in storytelling. Maintaining structured English grammar while depicting a deaf character's interactions helps convey the character's experience without compromising the reader's ability to follow the narrative.
As an illustration, consider the following text: Dialogues with Descriptive Sign Language:
Sarah greeted John with a warm smile, her hands moving gracefully as she signed, "Hi, how are you?"
John returned the greeting in sign language, his expressions mirroring his words. "I'm good, thanks. Did you see the new movie?"
Sarah's eyes lit up as she signed back enthusiastically, "Yes, I loved it!"
In summary, using structured English grammar when writing dialogue for a deaf character is a practical and respectful choice that ensures your writing remains inclusive and accessible to a broad audience while still authentically representing the character's identity and experiences.
Furthermore, it's essential to avoid creating a character who is overly perfect or one-dimensional. In real life, we understand that everyone has imperfections and complexities, regardless of whether they are deaf or hard of hearing. Therefore, it's entirely acceptable to depict your character as a villain with a hearing issue if that aligns with your storytelling goals.

An undeniable sensation pooled in the apex below your abdomen, causing your eyelids to flutter slowly open from your slumber. Your brows drew firmly together as your mouth gaped wildly open, releasing silent sounds of pleasured expression. But you were forced by the consuming reality in your brain to push the face that rested against your thighs, and the heavenly lips that had already landscaped the area of your cunt in prior situations.
Daryl hadn’t fallen asleep beside you, he had sullenly returned to his poisonous putridity of his home the eve before, dreading his father’s exploitive rage. As much as you wanted to continue receiving the fantastic oral that he was perfectly tainting your body with, you were commended by your saint lifestyle to shuffle away, rejecting his efforts of keeping his face attached to your most intimate area.
“D.” You addressed him by the initial, reaching beside you to pull at the dangling string of your bedside lamp so that the bulb would create an ambience that would aid your eyesight, rather than squinting in his direction through the consuming darkness. Daryl melted his face in the tousled sheets that rested raggedly beside your legs, chewing anxiously on his bottom lip.
He just wanted to see you, and get lost in one of his all time hobbies so that he wouldn’t need to bring acknowledgment to the repetitive reason as to why he had snuck in your home with the key that you had gifted him in the dead of night. “Daryl… look at me honey.” With concern filled empathy, you combed through his brunette locks with your fingers, squeezing your thighs together so that he wouldn’t be able to visualise his sacred escape for the moment.
This was important, far more important than any sexual activity. It took him a couple of minutes to finally build up the strength to comply with your soft demand; you weren’t forcing him, he was well aware of that fact, however he resented skulking away from your embracing and delicate nurturing, and thus he drew his face upwards, his blue and bruised eyes connecting with your orbs that unfortunately did not hold shock.
His father was sadistically cruel, he never let up on a chance to unleash his pent up frustrations and anger out on his sons, it was why Merle had joined the military - to escape the man that had raised them without any aspect of love. It didn’t matter that you were half nude due to his skilful appearance, you shuffled down the bed towards him, crossing your legs as you brushed your fingertips across his shoulder that was clothed in a shirt made of tired fabric, and he restrained a wince.
“Oh honey.” You cooed, seeing a horizon of purples and blues and deepening greys that harshened his features. “You can stay here, for as long as you need. I’d hate for you to keep going back there, so…” You braced yourself to say the words aloud, aware that Daryl was a young man whom was easily shaken. “Why don’t you move in?” You would never hurt him, emotionally or physically, no matter what situation that you found yourselves in.
Your blood boiled like there was a stove interlinking your veins to your arteries as you thought of any man bringing such abuse upon their child, but especially horrid old William and his treatment of Daryl. The bruised son’s lips conveyed his emotions in a wobbling manner, as he allowed his well constructed walls to lower, and water glazed in his eyes. He held you, and sobbed, and sobbed, until he was all out of frustrated tears, and you knew then, he would be using that silver key every day.

The heavy doors fell shut behind you. The loud bang vibrated in your bones.
For a second you just stood there, taking in the extravagance of Asgard’s throne room. Golden pillars, exquisite decorations along the walls that shimmered in the candle light. Nothing could compare.
Especially not the room used by the king’s family back home, which rather served as a business room for anything important. The king even sometimes used the room as his study. It was nothing like this.
“Tell me, little mortal. What brings you to my realm?”
Your eyes snapped towards the throne. The figure sitting on top of it was the very essence of what you’d describe as royalty. Golden armor, a majestic golden helmet with horns on top of messy black hair and a golden staff.
Despite everything, it was his eyes that brought you to your knees. You bowed respectfully before the throne, your gaze fixed on the floor.
“Your Highness, I have come to ask for your aid. My kingdom has been ravaged by war, hunger and poverty. I fear we won’t survive another winter.”
Your heart pounded in your chest as you waited for him to speak. Even your breathing was too loud against the silence that settled heavily on your shoulders.
The echo of heavy steps thundered through the throne room. Your eyes remained fixed on the floor.
A firm hand gripped your chin and tilted your head up.
“And what would you gain from this alliance, little mortal?”
His deep voice made you shiver, just as much as the stare from his blue eyes. You swallowed against the lump in your throat.
“Your Highness, I am but a simple human trying to avoid the certain death of my people. I fear you are the only one with the power to save them.”
Something flashed in his eyes. You could see an emotion almost like recollection or empathy on his face. It only lasted for a second before he raised his head, letting go of your chin.
“And what would I gain from helping you?”
You looked back at the floor. “An ally. In case you ever have any issues on Midgard, or you were in the middle of a war yourself.”
That was rich and you knew it. Your kingdom was small, it definitely didn’t possess enough influence or military strength to help a realm as mighty as Asgard if the situation arose. Not by a long shot.
It didn’t matter; you were desperate. You had to save your people.
His deep laughter shook you right down to your bones.
“Lying to me isn’t wise for someone in your position, little mortal.”
Your breath hitched. His voice had dropped to a deeper pitch, dark and threatening. It rested on your shoulders, pressing you even further to the floor.
“Your Highness, I can assure you –“
He forced your head up once more. His grip was stronger now, long fingers digging painfully into your skin. The burning stare from his blue eyes made the words die on your tongue.
“I am not some simple mortal. I am a King; a God. You’d do wisely to address me as such.”
You couldn’t look away from him. His hand held your head steady and you found yourself caged in by his grip and his stare. You nodded.
“Yes… my King.”
The words tasted strange in your mouth. Yet they felt right, especially when the expression on his face changed. He smiled at you, not losing any of his authority and power. Quite the opposite: his smile only increased it.
“Very good. Now tell me: what would I truly gain from helping you? I know your kingdom well; you have greatly exaggerated its influence and power. If I were ever in a similar position, your meek army would be of no use to me.”
Fear gripped your heart, drenching your whole body in ice. You inhaled sharply. If he didn’t help you, your kingdom and everyone in it would be doomed…
“Anything, my King. Anything you want, it’s yours!”
His eyebrows rose as he looked at you. He released your chin.
This time you didn’t look away. You kneeled at his feet, staring up at him with desperate eyes. You’d give him anything you had, if he only saved your kingdom.
His cold stare slowly became warmer as he smiled; but just like before, the dominant aura remained.
“Anything, you say?”
The almost playful tone sent a shiver down your spine but you didn’t allow yourself to falter as you looked into his eyes. The fate of your kingdom depended on your success.
“Yes, my King. Anything you want.”
He stared down at you in silence, his eyes burning into the very essence of your being.
Your heart stumbled in your chest as he slowly leaned down until his face was almost level with yours.
“Well, little mortal… what if I want you?”
Your knees buckled.
He observed you in silence, his eyes roaming across your body as he waited for your response. That infuriating smile hadn’t left his lips. His stare hypnotized you.
You swallowed hard, accepting your demise.
“Then you shall have me, my King.”
The words had barely left your lips when he leaned in and sealed your fate with a passionate yet gentle kiss.

Chapter One
The Queen's Departure
[ Phantom Menace timeline - 32 BBY ]
Tumblr media
As I sit upon my throne, surrounded by my loyal handmaidens, advisors, and diplomats, I cannot shake the knot of anxiety that tightens in my stomach. This royal starship, with its sleek design and polished surfaces, is a world away from the familiar comforts of my home planet. Today marks the first time I have ventured beyond its protective borders, and the weight of responsibility hangs heavy upon my shoulders.
I watch as my attendants move about the chamber, their voices blending into a murmur of discussion. They speak of alliances and negotiations, of the challenges that await us on Coruscant. But beneath their confident words, I sense the same apprehension that tugs at my own heart.
I eye each person in turn, searching for reassurance in their faces. My handmaidens, with their gentle smiles and steady hands, offer silent encouragement. My advisors, with furrowed brows and whispered conversations, strive to impart their wisdom upon me. And my diplomats, with their polished manners and carefully chosen words, seek to navigate the treacherous waters of intergalactic politics. I steadied my gaze, meeting the eyes of my advisors, and diplomats in turn. Their expressions ranged from hopeful to cautious, mirroring my own uncertainty as they looked away from me.
But despite their efforts, I cannot shake the feeling of unease that grips me. Leaving my home planet feels like stepping into the unknown, like casting adrift upon a vast and unfathomable sea. Will Coruscant heed our plea for aid? Will they recognize the struggle of my people, struggling beneath the weight of poverty and oppression?
Only time will tell.As the murmurs continue to swirl around me, I take a deep breath, trying to steady the tremor in my voice. The eyes of my entourage turn towards me, and I feel the weight of their expectations pressing down upon me like a heavy cloak.
"Esteemed advisors and trusted diplomats," I begin, my voice carrying more authority than I feel within. "Our journey to Coruscant is not just a diplomatic mission; it is a plea for the survival of our people. The Senate must hear our case, and we must convince them to lend us their aid."
A hushed silence settles in the chamber as all eyes remain fixed on me. I turn my gaze to my advisors, their faces etched with the gravity of the situation. Seeking wisdom, I meet the eyes of my most trusted counselor, Lord Arion, whose lined face betrays the weight of his years of service.
"What would be our plan to sway the Senate in our favor?" I inquired, my words tinged with both urgency and apprehension.
Lord Arion steps forward, his voice measured and calm. "Your Highness, we must present our case with conviction and clarity. The Senate values evidence and reason. We must compile a thorough detailing of the hardships faced by our people, the struggles we endure daily, and the urgent need for assistance. Facts and figures will be our allies in this situation."
His words offer a semblance of reassurance, but the tension in the room remains heavy. I turn to my chief diplomat, Lady Seraphina, who approaches with a calm demeanor that belies the storm of emotions within me.
"Your Majesty," Lady Seraphina begins, "we must also forge alliances with influential senators who can champion our cause. Personal connections often wield more influence than mere words. We must navigate the delicate dance of politics, appealing to their sense of empathy and self-interest."
Nodding in understandment, I contemplate the path that lies ahead. The enormity of the task before us presses down, and my heart races with the weight of responsibility. As Lady Seraphina finishes speaking, I can't help but feel a surge of doubt coursing through me. "But how can we ensure that the Senate will even acknowledge the existence of our planet?" I ask, my voice betraying the uncertainty that gnaws at my core. "And do you believe they will dismiss us simply because of my age?"
Lord Arion offers a sympathetic smile before responding. "Your Majesty, we will use every available channel to make our case known. We will petition senators, lobby influential figures, and utilize the resources at our disposal to ensure that our message reaches the ears of those who hold power. As for your age, while some may underestimate you, we will prove that your wisdom and determination far outweighs any doubts they may have."
His words offer a glimmer of hope, but the shadow of uncertainty still looms large. I let my hands fall into my lap, fingers tracing the intricate patterns of the silk material of my dress as I fidget with nervous energy. The weight of responsibility feels heavier than ever, and the doubts that plague my mind threaten to overwhelm me.
But I cannot afford to falter now. My people are counting on me, and I will not let them down. With a deep breath, I straighten my spine and steel myself for the challenges that lie ahead.
"Very well," I say, my voice steady despite the tumult of emotions within. "We will proceed with our plan and do everything in our power to secure aid for our people. Together, we will face whatever obstacles may come our way, and we will emerge victoriously."
I rise from my throne, the weight of my crown a reminder of the burden I bear. But as I look around at the faces of my loyal companions, I know that I am not alone. Together, we will navigate the treacherous waters of intergalactic politics, and we will ensure that the voice of our planet is heard.
As I take a step forward, my eyes meet those of Lady Elara, another trusted advisor who has been silent thus far which usually meant that she was trying to choose her words carefully. She clears her throat before addressing the concerns lingering in the air. "Your Highness, if I may interject, the Queen of Naboo herself, Queen Amidala, is currently only 14 years old. Yet, she is navigating the intricate web of the Senate with remarkable skill and resilience. Age should not be a deterrent; instead, it can be a symbol of strength, showcasing the determination of a young monarch fighting for her people."
Her words bring a spark of inspiration, and I find solace in the thought that age may not be an insurmountable obstacle after all then. I nod in gratitude to Lady Elara and make my way off the throne towards a nearby counter, where a protocol droid stands ready with a refreshing drink. The cool liquid soothes my parched throat, but my mind remains ablaze with the challenges ahead.
Before I can voice my thoughts, the chamber's doors hiss open, and Captain Renner strides in with an air of urgency. He exchanges a quick glance with Lady Seraphina, who steps forward to receive his whispered message. My eyes fixate on the unfolding scene, the unease returning in full force.
Lady Seraphina's expression tightens as she listens to the captain's report. The room falls silent, every gaze focused on her as she turns back towards us. "Your Majesty, there is urgent news. The hyperdrive has malfunctioned due to a cause they haven’t traced yet, and we are forced to make an unscheduled stop for repairs. This delay will set us back several days."
A collective sigh of frustration ripples through the room. My heart sinks at the thought of our already delicate mission facing further setbacks. The weight of responsibility presses down on me, threatening to crush my resolve.
A heavy silence descends upon the room as I take a few moments to contemplate the unforeseen obstacles that now stand in our path. The hum of the starship's engines seems to resonate with the tumultuous thoughts in my mind. I do not meet the gazes of my advisors; instead, I stare into the depths of the swirling liquid in my cup, seeking clarity.
The weight of responsibility presses down on me, threatening to crush my resolve. However, I cannot afford to let the moment linger for too long. I raise my head, meeting the expectant eyes of my loyal companions, and find my voice.
"We cannot afford to wait several days for repairs," I declare, my words cutting through the tense atmosphere. "The urgency of our mission requires a swifter course of action. We will find an alternative starship and proceed to Coruscant without delay."
A murmur of disagreement rises among my advisors. Lord Arion steps forward, his brow furrowed with concern. "Your Majesty, I understand the urgency, but hastily changing our mode of transport may jeopardize the safety of the journey. We must consider the risks and—"
I cut him off, my voice firm. "The risks of delay far outweigh the uncertainties of an alternative starship. We cannot afford to waste time. Lives depend on our success, and we must act decisively."
Lady Seraphina interjects, "Your Majesty, the diplomatic protocols and security measures for a different vessel will take time to arrange. We must ensure a smooth transition to avoid any complications in our journey."
My gaze meets Lady Elara's, searching for support. She hesitates before speaking, "Your Highness, I share the concerns of my fellow advisors. We must proceed cautiously to safeguard the integrity of our mission."
I take a deep breath, absorbing their reservations. The path ahead is fraught with challenges, and I must weigh the consequences of my decision. However, the urgency of our mission fuels my determination.
"Despite the challenges, we cannot afford to be paralyzed by indecision. We will find a suitable alternative swiftly and ensure the necessary precautions are taken. Lives hang in the balance, and we must not falter in our duty," I assert, my voice unwavering.
The room falls into a contemplative silence as my advisors exchange glances, grappling with the gravity of the situation. The fate of my people rests on this decision, and I am prepared to face whatever consequences may arise from my choice.
The air in the chamber thickens with tension as my advisors exchange wary glances, still unconvinced by my resolve. Lady Seraphina speaks up once more, her tone edged with caution. "Your Majesty, we understand the urgency, but such haste may compromise our safety. The risks of an unfamiliar starship—"
Before she can finish her sentence, Lord Arion adds, "And the diplomatic repercussions of changing our mode of transport mid-journey, Your Highness. We must consider—"
I interrupt them, my voice firm and resolute. "Enough. I appreciate your concerns for all of our safety, but the urgency of our mission demands swift action, you all know this. We cannot afford to wait. Lives depend on our success, and why would you all let fear paralyze us."
As they exchange troubled glances, Lady Elara interjects, "Your Majesty, forgive us for questioning, but it is our duty to ensure your safety and the success of this mission. Perhaps if we consider alternative solutions—"
My patience wanes, and I look to Captain Renner, who stands by the doorway, awaiting further instructions. "Captain, what is the nearest suitable starship we can secure for our journey?"
The Captain hesitates for a moment before responding, "Your Majesty, the nearest available starship is en route to Endor for routine maintenance. It is a reliable vessel, and we can make the necessary arrangements for your departure."
Endor. The name echoes in the chamber, and I see a glimmer of uncertainty in the eyes of my advisors. It is a planet with its own history and alliances, and their reservations become more palpable.
"What is the concern?" I ask, my voice now holding a touch of impatience. "Are you not willing to consider Endor as a temporary solution to our predicament?"
Lady Seraphina hesitates before speaking cautiously, "Your Majesty, Endor is known for its unique political landscape. A sudden arrival without proper diplomatic measures could create complications. We must consider the potential fallout."
I stand firm, my gaze piercing through the room. "I understand the concerns, but time is not on our side. We will proceed to Endor, and we will handle any complications as they arise. Our mission cannot be delayed any further."

As the ramp of the starship descends with a soft hiss, I step onto the landing pad, my droid and handmaidens trailing behind me. Flanking me are my loyal royal guards, their presence a comforting reminder of the protection surrounding me. The air is crisp with the scent of unfamiliar flora, and the sounds of the forest echo in the distance.
Before I can take in my surroundings, a question lingers on my lips. "Captain, where exactly have we landed?"
The Captain opens his mouth to respond, but before he can utter a word, a sudden commotion interrupts the air. I turn to see my royal guards, blasters drawn, confronting a small figure standing at the edge of the landing pad.
"Stay where you are!" one of the guards commanded sternly, their weapons trained on the diminutive creature.
Confusion grips me as I approach, my eyes widening in astonishment at the sight before me. The figure is no larger than a child, covered in shaggy fur and adorned with primitive garb. It takes a few hesitant steps backward, its large, expressive eyes wide with fear.
"What is the meaning of this?" I demand, my voice tinged with both concern and curiosity.
The Captain steps forward, his expression apologetic. "Your Majesty, it appears we have landed in the territory of the native inhabitants of Endor. This creature is known as an Ewok."
My heart sinks as I realize the gravity of the situation. We have trespassed onto the land of these indigenous beings, and now we must navigate the delicate balance of diplomacy.
"Lower your weapons," I command my guards, their blasters retracting obediently. Turning to the Ewok, I offer a reassuring smile. "We mean you no harm. We come in peace."
The Ewok eyes me warily, its gaze flickering between me and my entourage. Slowly, it takes a cautious step forward, its posture wary but curious.
"We seek only temporary refuge on your planet," I explain gently, hoping to convey our intentions. "We mean no disrespect to your home."
The Ewok studies me for a moment longer before disappearing into the dense foliage of the forest, leaving me to ponder the complexities of our unexpected encounter.
Turning to my protocol droid, CP50, I issue a command, "CP50, act as our translator. We need to establish communication and ensure there are no misunderstandings with the inhabitants of this planet."
The droid acknowledges the order with a nod and a small “Yes, you’re majesty.” As the droid initiates communication protocols, I step off the ramp, my eyes filled with wonder and curiosity at the sights around me. The vibrant colors of the Endorian flora and the unique sounds of the forest create an atmosphere unlike any I have experienced before.
My handmaidens and royal guards follow suit, their expressions a mix of fascination and apprehension. The air is filled with the sweet scent of unfamiliar flowers, and the ambient sounds of the forest lend an ethereal quality to our surroundings.
However, my moment of awe is interrupted by the concerned voices of my advisors. Lord Arion approaches me with a tone of urgency. "Your Majesty, we must remain on the ship. This unexpected detour could pose risks, and we should not stray too far when we don’t even know what is potentially out there."
I turn to face them, a hint of frustration in my voice. "I understand the concerns, but diplomacy begins with understanding. We must establish a rapport with the inhabitants of this planet. CP50 will assist us in navigating any language barriers."
Lady Seraphina adds, "Your Majesty, while diplomacy is crucial, we should proceed with caution. We are still strangers in a foreign land, and unforeseen complications may arise."
I nod in acknowledgment of their concerns but stand firm in my decision. "We will exercise caution, but we cannot afford to ignore the potential allies or obstacles this planet may present. Our mission remains to secure aid for our people, and diplomacy is the key to achieving that goal."
As we venture further into the Endorian landscape, the sounds of the forest growing louder around us, I then look up to see homes…bridges that lead tree to tree.
As I gaze up at the towering trees, marveling at the intricate network of huts and bridges woven among their branches, a sense of awe washes over me. The Ewok village seems to blend seamlessly with the natural beauty of the forest, a testament to the ingenuity and resourcefulness of its inhabitants.
Suddenly, a rustling in the foliage ahead breaks the spell of wonder, and I instinctively tense, my hand drifting towards the hilt of my ceremonial blade. Six Ewoks emerge from the shadows, their wary eyes fixed upon us as they brandish spears with cautious determination.
I exchange a glance with CP50, silently urging the droid to facilitate communication. As the droid begins to translate my words into their native tongue, I step forward, meeting the gaze of the Ewoks with a mixture of respect and reassurance.
"Hello," I say, my voice ringing out with clarity amidst the rustling of leaves. "My name is Queen Korr of Lemono. I come in peace, seeking to establish communication and mutual understanding between our peoples."
The Ewoks regard me with a mixture of curiosity and wariness, their expressions unreadable beneath their furry visages. For a tense moment, silence hangs in the air, broken only by the gentle whisper of the wind through the trees.
Then, one of the Ewoks takes a tentative step forward, its spear lowered ever so slightly. It speaks in a language unfamiliar to my ears, but CP50 swiftly translates its words.
"We welcome you, Queen Korr of Lemono," the Ewok says, its voice tinged with cautious optimism. "But we must ensure the safety of our village. Please, come with us. Our elders will decide your fate."
I nod in understanding, a sense of relief washing over me. This encounter may yet prove to be the first step towards securing the aid my people so desperately need. With a quick stride, I follow the Ewoks into the depths of their forest home, hopeful that diplomacy will prevail in the face of uncertainty.
Led through the intricate treetop pathways, I find myself standing before the Ewok elders, wise and weathered figures adorned in ceremonial garb. Their eyes, ancient and knowing, regard me with a mix of curiosity and caution. As CP50 translates my words, I address the gathering with a respectful bow.
"Esteemed elders of Endor," I begin, my voice carrying the weight of sincerity, "I am Queen Korr of Lemono. I come in peace, seeking your understanding and cooperation. Our ship has encountered technical issues, and we urgently need assistance to reach Coruscant. The fate of my people depends on the aid we seek from the Galactic Senate."
The elders exchange glances, their expressions thoughtful and contemplative. The rustle of leaves and the distant sounds of the forest create a backdrop for the delicate negotiation unfolding among the treetops.
One elder, with a crown of leaves upon its head, steps forward and speaks in a melodic language that resonates with the harmony of the forest. CP50 swiftly translates, "We sense the sincerity in your words, Queen Korr of Lemono. But our trust must be earned. Your people must respect the ways of our land, and you must prove that your intentions are genuine."
I nod, acknowledging their terms. "I understand the importance of earning your trust. We are guests in your home, and we will abide by your customs. All we ask is for the opportunity to repair our ship and continue our journey to Coruscant, where we seek assistance for the hardships faced by my people."
The elder nods in response, and a silent exchange among the Ewoks follows. Finally, a consensus seems to be reached, and the elder addresses me again, "You shall be granted the chance to repair your ship, Queen Korr. But know this: the balance of our world is delicate. Respect it, and you will find allies among the Ewoks of Endor."
Gratitude fills my heart as I express my appreciation to the elders. With the promise of cooperation, I am hopeful that we can mend our starship and resume our journey. The forest canopy above seems to whisper its approval, as if the very trees themselves have granted us a chance to prove our intentions and secure the aid my people so desperately need.
As I bow respectfully to the Ewok elders, a soft murmur emanates from behind me, where my advisors confer in hushed tones. I catch snippets of their conversation, an undercurrent of skepticism threading through their words. Ignoring the whispers, I straighten up and turn to face the elders, determination etched on my face.
"I am grateful for your understanding, esteemed elders," I say, addressing them directly. "In our quest to repair our ship swiftly, I must inquire if there is a spare vessel available that we may borrow temporarily. This would expedite our journey to Coruscant and allow us to return your kindness promptly."
The elder, with a nod of consideration, confers with the others in their melodious language. After a brief exchange, they collectively agree, and the elder responds through CP50's translation.
"We have a transport vessel that you may use for your journey, Queen Korr of Lemono," the elder announces. "It is not as advanced as your starship, but it will serve your purpose. We entrust it to you with the understanding that you will respect the balance of the forest and return it once your mission is complete."
Expressing my sincere gratitude, I assure them of our utmost respect for their customs and pledge to return the vessel as promised. The Ewoks, in turn, guide us to their transport vessel, a modest yet sturdy craft nestled within the treetop village.
As my advisors reluctantly follow, their murmurs continue, but I remain focused on the task at hand. The path to Coruscant is still fraught with challenges, but with the borrowed vessel, we should have a renewed sense of purpose and the means to continue our diplomatic journey through the vast reaches of the galaxy.
As I step aboard the vessel graciously lent to us by the Ewoks, a surge of anxiety courses through me. Despite their hospitality, I can't shake the nagging feeling that we are intruding on their world, disrupting the delicate balance of their lives. The weight of responsibility presses down on me, and I can feel the eyes of my people upon me, their hopes and fears resting squarely on my shoulders.
Glancing back at my advisors and diplomats, I am met with a mixture of reluctance and apprehension. Their whispered conversations and doubtful expressions only serve to fuel my frustration. How dare they question the hospitality of our hosts, especially after the kindness they have shown us?
Suppressing a sigh, I take a moment to compose myself, my hands clenched into fists at my sides. With a firm gaze, I addressed them, my voice tinged with disappointment. "It is imperative that we show respect for the customs and traditions of the Ewoks. They have offered us their aid in our time of need, and we must honor their generosity with our gratitude and cooperation."
My words hang heavy in the air, but the tension among my companions remains palpable. As the borrowed vessel glides through the Endorian sky, I turn to my advisors and diplomats, a question lingering on my lips. "Who among you will volunteer to stay behind and assist the Ewoks? We must ensure our presence here does not disrupt their way of life."
A moment of uncomfortable silence fills the air. I watch the faces of my companions, hoping for a willing volunteer to step forward. However, none of them seem eager to accept the responsibility of remaining on Endor.
Lord Arion, ever the voice of caution, steps forward, "Your Majesty, it may not be wise to leave our diplomatic mission in the hands of those unfamiliar with the complexities of intergalactic politics. Perhaps we should all proceed to Coruscant together and—"
I cut him off with a frustrated tone, "The Ewoks have shown us kindness, and we must reciprocate. We cannot take advantage of their generosity without offering something in return. Who among you will step up for this important task?"
A heavy silence lingers, my advisors and diplomats exchanging uneasy glances. When no one volunteers, a sense of frustration builds within me. These individuals, who are meant to assist and advise me, seem unwilling to embrace the responsibilities that come with diplomacy.
In a decisive moment, I point to one of my diplomats, Lady Isolde, a handmaiden Anne-Jane, and a member of the flight crew, Lieutenant Rylan. "You two will stay behind on Endor. Assist the Ewoks in whatever they require. Ensure that our presence here leaves a positive impact, and when our ship is repaired, join us on Coruscant."
They share an exchange at a glance, acknowledging the responsibility thrust upon them. I watch as they walk off of the ship causing me to finally feel some type of ease. The ship begins to hum underneath my feet. It’s risky to leave my trusted people here, but I couldn’t just leave the Ewoks without nothing. I felt eyes on me. My stomach twisting and turning…I need to believe in myself.

The Neo-Anthropocene: More about the Ikleud
Tumblr media
follow up to this post. This drawing was made in december 2022 and has more updated anatomy and coloring
Summary: The Ikleud are a sapient species of herbivorous hexapods from the ringed planet of Irou. They are notable for their herd mentality, strong sense of empathy, and surprisingly large size.
Biology: Like almost all other Tivarapods, the phylum the Ikleud hail from. The most notable features are the presence of a long proboscis used for feeding with a radula and detecting scent with 4 olfactory spiracles. The use of Haemorthyrin in their blood, giving their blood and flesh a purple hue. The use of titanium in their skeletons instead of calcium. 2 respiratory spiracles that lead to a pair of lungs, 4 eyes located on the sensory head. And a segmented body plan determined by a set of genes analogous to the Hox gene.
Physical adaptations: The Ikleud manipulate their environment with their proboscis that end with 3 opposable “fingers" derived from the outer set of radula teeth. They and several non sapient relatives have a set of external ears aided by ball socket joints derived from their ear sockets. Their feet are padded with rough scales to aid in traction while walking on the forest floor. Their hind legs are more muscular than the front two, and with a set of toe claws, they are capable of rearing up on their hind legs and latch onto trees to reach high up branches.
The Ikleud are also surprisingly large, they have a height of 1.8 meters / 6 feet at the back and 2.1 meters / 7 feet at the tip of the head. And have a length of 3.9 meters / 13 feet from the head to the tail. It was revealed in the information trade that this is caused by the somewhat higher amount of consumable biomass Irou has compared to Earth
Niche, Ecology & Behavior: They are grazing and browsing herbivores with a herd mentality that originated from a set of temperate forests in Irou's southwest hemisphere. Early in their species' history they were frequently preyed upon by theropod-like predators that sported raptorial arms. Needing to protect their herds from such predators, They have an overwhelming sense of empathy. allowing their herds to remain open and communal, while also preventing unfortunate Ikleud from being left behind, and infighting breaking out within their herd. Their sapience emerged from the need to keep up with such complex and ever changing social groups.
Communication: Unique to the Ikleud and their closest non sapient relatives, they posses two flexible organs connected to each lung and spiracle, these open spaces are surrounded by a set of muscles that can forcefully push out air into a variety of sounds.
They use this organ to produce a vocal language where drawn out vowels, are widespread. Alveolar fricatives (sounds that produce "C" "Z" "S") and glottal fricatives (sounds that make "H") are nearly one in the same. And trills are practically non-existent.
They also incorporate a lot of body language and expression, they primarily use their eyelids and ears to express emotion. and they use a lot of bodily and ""arm"" motions to further express what they want to talk about.
However, despite how surprising this revelation is, there is still way more to cover. Their homeplanet of Irou, The wildlife of Irou, Ikleud society and technology.
And most surprisingly, the Ikleud aren't the only sophonts native to Irou...

Warning! injury talk
Patty rushed to Jack and John's home with urgency, her bag of first aid supplies and healing crystals clutched tightly in her hands. Concern etched on her face, she quickened her pace, her heart pounding with worry.
Upon reaching the doorstep, Patty hastily pushed open the door and stepped inside, her eyes darting around the room in search of her friends. The sight that greeted her sent a jolt of horror through her entire being.
Her gasp escaped in a sharp breath as she beheld Jack's torn and bloodied face. A wave of disbelief and shock washed over her, rendering her momentarily speechless. Her hands instinctively flew to her mouth, attempting to stifle a scream. The gruesome sight before her was beyond anything Patty had encountered before. Jack lay on the bed, his breathing labored and his face pale from the pain he had endured. His consciousness flickered in and out, the depths of his injuries taking their toll on his weakened body. John sat by his side, his eyes filled with worry and anguish, his hand gently clasping Jack's in a gesture of support.
As John glanced at the wound on Jack's face, a mixture of guilt and concern welled up within him. He had tried his best to tend to the injury, applying pressure to stop the bleeding, but his limited knowledge left him feeling helpless in the face of such a severe wound. The sight of Jack in such a vulnerable state struck John to the core. He knew the immense pain that Jack must be enduring, both physically and emotionally. The weight of responsibility pressed upon him, amplifying his worry and stirring a deep resolve within his heart.
"what..what happend to him?" Patty's voice trembled as she asked the question, her shock and concern evident in her tone. She looked to John, her eyes pleading for an explanation, as she struggled to make sense of the harrowing scene before her.
John took a deep breath, his own emotions swirling within him as he gathered the strength to recount the events that had transpired. With a mixture of sorrow and determination, he began to share their story, carefully choosing his words.
"We were in the forest," he started, his voice heavy with the weight of the truth. "There was an encounter.... a feral wolf… it jumped Jack and clawed his face open.." "A wolf? but they are usually so timid and scared of us humans??" John's voice wavered as he continued his account, his expression pained as he shared the details of the encounter. "Yes, Patty, I know. It was... unusual. This wolf was different, feral, and its attack was..... It seemed to be driven by an uncontrollable rage."
Patty's shock deepened, her brows furrowing as she struggled to reconcile this new information. The concept of a wolf behaving in such an aggressive manner went against everything she knew about these creatures. "But why would a wolf suddenly become so aggressive? It doesn't make sense." "no clue...
Patty took a deep breath, steeling herself for the task at hand. With a steady hand, she reached for the sterile gauze and antiseptic solution, carefully preparing to clean and treat Jack's deep wound.
Gently, she began by cleansing the surrounding area, her touch deliberate and precise. She dipped a piece of sterile gauze into the antiseptic solution, allowing it to soak before pressing it against the torn flesh. As she applied gentle pressure, she cleansed the wound, removing any debris or bacteria that could hinder the healing process.
Jack winced in pain as the antiseptic solution made contact with his raw skin. His hand clutched tightly onto the bedsheet, his fingers digging into the fabric. Patty glanced at him, her eyes filled with empathy, and she paused briefly to offer a reassuring smile.
"I know it hurts, Jack," she said softly, her voice filled with understanding. "But we need to ensure that the wound is clean to prevent any complications. We'll take it slowly, step by step."
Jack's cry of pain pierced the air, reverberating through the room and causing Patty's heart to skip a beat. Her eyes widened, and she hurriedly moved closer to his side, concern etched across her face.
She instinctively reached out to comfort him, her hand hovering over his trembling form.
John, too, was alarmed by Jack's sudden cry, his own anguish reflected in his eyes. He tightened his grip on Jack's hand, desperate to provide any form of solace or support in this agonizing moment.
Patty quickly assessed Jack's condition, scanning his face for any signs of distress. She knew that pain could be unpredictable, and it was crucial to identify the cause and address it promptly.
"Jack, can you tell me where the pain is coming from?" Patty asked, her voice gentle yet determined. "Try to take deep breaths and let me know what you're feeling."
Jack, his breaths uneven and strained, managed to utter through his cries, "It... It's my eye. It hurts... so much."
Patty's heart sank as she realized that the intensity of the pain was overwhelming Jack. She knew that even the slightest movement or touch could exacerbate his suffering.
"Okay, Jack," Patty responded, her voice filled with compassion. "I understand. I won't touch your face for now. Let's focus on managing your pain."
She quickly reached into her bag, retrieving a small vial containing a potent yet gentle pain relief potion. Carefully measuring the appropriate dosage, she approached Jack, her eyes filled with empathy.
"Jack, I'm going to give you a pain relief potion," Patty explained, her voice calm and reassuring. "It should help alleviate some of the discomfort. Just try to relax and let it take effect."
With gentle precision, Patty administered the potion, guiding Jack to drink it slowly. She remained by his side, her presence a source of comfort and support as they waited for the pain relief to take effect.
As moments passed, the pain gradually subsided, allowing Jack to find some respite from the torment that had engulfed him. His cries softened into labored breaths, and his body gradually relaxed against the bed. John's voice trembled with worry and desperation as he spoke up, seeking a solution that could provide immediate relief for Jack's pain. "Patty, is there nothing else we can do? Can't you administer a healing potion to alleviate his suffering?"
Patty's expression softened, understanding the depth of John's concern. She sighed, her eyes filled with empathy as she met John's gaze. "John, I wish it were that simple. But given the severity of Jack's wounds, a healing potion alone may not be sufficient to bring him immediate relief."
She paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts, before continuing. "Magic has its limits, especially when it comes to wounds as deep and traumatic as these. While healing potions can certainly aid in the overall healing process, their effects may take time to manifest fully."
John's shoulders slumped, his worry intensifying. He felt a sense of helplessness, longing to ease Jack's pain in any way possible. However, he understood that the road to recovery would be a gradual and arduous one. John gently kissed Jack's hands, his touch filled with tenderness and love. He watched over Jack as he finally succumbed to sleep, finding solace in the peaceful expression on his face. The room remained hushed, the only sound the soft rhythm of Jack's breathing. "Jack is strong, and he has a remarkable capacity to heal, both physically and emotionally. With time, care, and the love that surrounds him, I have faith that he will overcome this."
John looked at Patty, gratitude shining in his eyes. He found solace in her words, knowing that she had witnessed the strength and resilience that Jack possessed. His grip on Jack's hand tightened, a silent affirmation of their unbreakable bond.
"I trust in his strength,"

My guide to healing: a non-linear process of growth and self acceptance 🖤
1. Grieving - Allowing yourself to grieve is essential for processing and moving past emotional pain. It's a natural part of the healing process that allows us to confront our emotions, come to terms with them, take accountability and eventually find a way to move forward. Let yourself be taken by the darkness, explore it, understand it and then let it go.
2. Reinventing oneself - During times of healing, it's common to reassess one’s identity and values. Reinventing yourself can be empowering, helping you discover new aspects of your personality and strengths that can aid in the nonlinear healing journey. Get a haircut, buy some new clothes and change up your style, listen to new music and make yourself the person your inner child would want you to be.
3. Find a community of people - Building a supportive community can provide a sense of belonging, understanding, and empathy. Connecting with others who share similar experiences or who can offer encouragement can help alleviate feelings of isolation and provide a valuable support system. Some people seek relationships, when they should seek communities for solace and comfort, and often feel more alone. Find a group of kindred spirits in any shape or form. A coven, a tribe, a subculture or scene can reap benefits on your sense of self and identity.
4. Make art and be creative - Engaging in artistic expression can be cathartic and therapeutic. Creativity allows you to channel your emotions into something tangible, providing a way to express ourselves, gain insights, and find solace in the process. Whether it’s writing poetry, drawing, painting, cooking or simply changing up your style or look, the benefits of creative expression are immense!
5. Listen to music, lots of music - Music has a powerful impact on our emotions and can serve as a form of emotional release. It can help you process feelings, find comfort, and even uplift your mood during challenging times, making it a valuable tool for healing. I often find that the sadder and darker the music, the better you feel as it has a way of explaining your emotions in ways we sometimes can’t. Concerts are great vessels of release and catharsis.
6. Travel - Traveling can offer a change of scenery, new perspectives, and a break from routine. Experiencing different cultures, landscapes, and environments can stimulate personal growth, provide opportunities for reflection, and offer a sense of adventure that can be rejuvenating during the healing process. When you travel the world feels a lot smaller, and you are less likely to feel alone. Making friends with strangers and sharing memories in distant places is vital to reinventing one’s self, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. Great way to leave your sorrows behind.
7. Go out in nature as much as possible - Nature has a calming and grounding effect on our well-being. Spending time outdoors can reduce stress, boost mood, and promote relaxation. Nature can provide a sense of peace and serenity, offering a healing environment that encourages reflection and renewal. Whether it’s taking a hike, or going for a walk by a river, nature breathes new life into your soul, and exhales old life out of you. Being by moving water can be so calming to your mind, when there’s so much chaos abound. Take a moment to sit by a river or a lake, turn off your phone and let the waves take away your worries.
You are loved and not alone through it. No matter how much you feel like it, there are so many people waiting to hold you in their arms and give you comfort.

Showing my obsession with gems and animals while making my own version of the Miraculous+Kwamis
Let’s start with the Songbird Aegis.
This Aegis is a rainbow opal embedded into a hair comb. It is inhabited by Wren, the Sentinel of Emotion. He is represented by the songbird, creatures known for their heartfelt songs that are capable of effortlessly swaying the emotions of any living creature. Be it sorrow, joy, hope, or alarm. They sing to attract others to them and fill their environment with life.
After all, it is said that the experience of emotion is how one can truly be alive. To express emotion and evoke them in others is the power of the Songbird Aegis. Thus, it is no wonder that those chosen as Wren’s vessels are those in the arts who evoke emotion through their craft, such as artists, writers, musicians, and actors. Creative spirits who are highly in tune with their feelings and the feelings of others and wish to share those emotions with the world. However, this has not always resulted in a noble outcome. Some have used this aegis to spread dangerous feelings and ideas that have resulted in discord within communities and disunity that persists for generations.
The Songbird Aegis grants its wielders the power Siren Song, which is a vocal compulsion that fills those within hearing range with powerful emotions, be it crippling sadness, strong determination, burning anger, or sluggish laziness. It functions as both a support for their allies and an obstacle for opponents. However, the wielder must genuinely feel those emotions for the power to work, and the effect only lasts for as long as the wielder’s performance lasts. If they stop or are interrupted, the effects of the power immediately disappear.
Often times, Songbird Aegis wielders will also have keen hearing if they are musicians, heightened perception if they are artists, greater empathy if they are writers, and higher charisma if they are actors. In their transformed state, Songbird Aegis wielders will also sport wings, gain perfect pitch, and the ability to sing in any language.
To activate the Songbird Aegis, one must use the phrase “Crescendo” and to deactivate use the phrase, “Morendo.”

Next, we have the Hawk Aegis.
It is a fire opal embedded in a bracelet that is Inhabited by Beddiah, the Freedom Sentinel.  His name was inspired by the minor loa Badessy, who holds the domain of the sky in Vodou.  He embodies every living creature’s desire for self-determination, and the power to act without any hindrance or restraint. He is represented by the hawk, a creature championed as a symbol of freedom, inspiring hope whenever it soars through the skies. The hawk are magnificent birds of prey known for its flight prowess and fearlessness, preying on not only small mammals and birds, but venomous reptiles.
Wielders of the Hawk Aegis are self-assured and strong-willed. They live in the moment and follow where the wind blows. But most of all, they value their autonomy and can’t stand being tethered or bound; for many of them, this extends to others as well as themselves. Thus, many of the wielders in history were some form of freedom fighter or rebel against the prevailing authority at the time. This freedom does not necessarily have to be physical; the wielders of the Hawk Aegis often champion freedom in all of its forms. However, this focus on freedom has a cost; some of the Aegis wielders have taken their ideals of freedom too far, often sowing the seeds of anarchy and chaos in their wake.
Thus, the Hawk Aegis grants its wielders a power called Changing Winds, which allows the wielder to will an event into reality. However, the wielder must be able to picture the event clearly in their minds and it must affect them directly, as it manifests as strokes of luck to aid the wielder in action.
The Hawk Aegis also grants its wielders the gift of speed and flight. In fact, Hawk Aegis wielders are the most proficient fliers as they possess increased durability against high gravity, immunity from whiplash and may even reach Mach speeds in their flight course. Its wielders may also develop hawk-like traits such as keen eyesight, sharp talons, brown feathers, and wings.
To activate the Hawk Aegis, its wielder must say the phrase, “To the Heavens” and to deactivate, they say, “Down to Earth.”
-
Now we have the Raven Aegis.
It is a black opal embedded into a feather earring. This Aegis is inhabited by Hugenn, the Sentinel of Thought.
He is the embodiment of every living creature’s ability to process information, analyse, and problem-solve. His name was inspired by one of Odin’s ravens, Huginn, whose job it was to fly all over Midgard and bring him information. So it was only right that Hugenn is represented by the raven, an intelligent creature capable of problem-solving, recognizing and remembering faces, planning, and using tools. Vessels of Hugenn are those with extraordinary intellect, critical thinking, and cognitive flexibility. They value knowledge and the pursuit of truth above all else.  Thus, the Raven Aegis often finds itself in the possession of scholars, scientists, and investigators. They strive to uncover the mysteries of the world and gain a better understanding of the unknown. Many bring about groundbreaking discoveries and innovations that have changed the world, for better or for worse. Though occasionally their single-minded pursuit of knowledge and truth blinds them to the morality of what it takes to achieve it.
Thus, Raven Aegis users are blessed with the thinking speed of a supercomputer, processing elaborate strings of information and multiple lines of thought at once within a fraction of a second. This processing speed allows them to seemingly slow down time when they analyze their surroundings and contemplate their next course of action. Wielders with particularly keen intellect will also gain photographic memory. However, most will develop raven-like traits such as black feathers, wings, and the ability to perfectly mimic any human voice.
The Raven Aegis grants its wielders a special power called Vision, which allows them to see a second or two into their own future, and giving them to opportunity to anticipate, plan, and react inhumanly fast. However, while they are using this power, it also renders them completely blind, forcing them to rely on their other senses and memory of the terrain.
To activate this Aegis, its wielder must call out, “Part the veil” and to deactivate, they must say “Curtain falls.”
-
Next, we have the Cat Aegis.
It is a Cat’s Eye Moonstone which is embedded into a choker necklace. It is inhabited by Felis, the embodiment of Wonder. She embodies a living being’s sense of curiosity and desire to conquer the unknown. She is represented by the cat, an animal known for its curiosity and individualistic nature. They are a symbol of independence and adventure, possessing a strong desire to explore the world around them and are even considered as symbols of mystery and the occult.
Vessels of Felis are known for their wanderlust and daring spirit. They want to follow the path less travelled and discover sights few others will ever see. They have a desire to forge into the unknown, chase thrills and refuse to allow long odds or uncertain fortune to slow them down. However, vessels of Felis are incredibly secretive and flighty individuals, often living a double life and never staying in one place for long. Thus, many of Felis’ chosen vessels have been explorers, secret intelligence, and journalists. Many have pioneered the discovery of previously unknown lands and animals, accomplished feats previously thought impossible, and uncovered deep-rooted conspiracies. However, it is the curse of the Cat Aegis wielder to walk a path of solitude, until the day the secrets they have guarded swallows them whole.
In their transformed states, Cat Aegis wielders gain agility, dexterity, and reaction speed that is superior to other aegis users, as well as unique traits such as the ability to see in pitch black darkness, and ‘9 lives.’ These 9 lives are a culmination of a feline’s ‘righting reflex’ and the wielder’s increased dexterity and agility, which allows them to pull off near-impossible feats of athleticism or escape from life-threatening situations unharmed. They may also develop cat-like features such as claws, fangs, cat ears, tail, and eyes.
The special power of the Cat Aegis is dubbed Daydream, which traps targets who have direct line of sight of her in a daze. In this stupor, they witness visions of their greatest desires, sweeping them away in their ideal lives. However, this trance is easily broken if their bodies are disturbed, or if the affected persons manage to recognize that they are in a trance and reject it. Additionally, those who have previously been affected by this power will become more difficult to affect.
This Aegis’ activation phrase is “Bewitch” and her deactivation phrase is “Disenchant.”
-
Let’s move on to the Wolf Aegis
This Aegis is a brown onyx embedded into a fingerless glove. It is inhabited by Villr, the Sentinel of Protection. Villr embodies the natural instinct in all creatures to provide shelter and safety to those they care for. Be it for the sake of survival, genuine affection, or both. He is represented by the wolf, a symbol of guardianship and loyalty. They are pack animals that develop deep emotional bonds to each other, forming the foundation of loyalty and dedication that compels them to protect each other from harm.
Vessels of Villr are often self-sacrificing, with a strong sense of belonging and a stronger urge to protect those they consider home. Thus, the aegis often finds affinity with people in roles of protection, such as parental guardians, firefighters, search and rescue, and law enforcement. However, when taken too far, this desire to protect has led to delusions of ownership and entitlement, exerting absolute control and isolation over those they wish to protect, and stopping at nothing to ensure their safety, even if it means decimating anything and everything they consider a threat.
When transformed, wielders of the Wolf Aegis also develop a keen sense of smell that is superior to other aegis wielders. They also possess greater armor strength that allows them to absorb only a fraction of damage other aegis wielders would sustain. wolf-like features such as fangs, ears, tails, and claws when they are transformed. The Wolf Aegis possesses a special power called Lycan’s Rage, which increases its wielder’s strength the greater their anger or determination grows to protect or eliminate a threat. Any damage received while this power is activated also increases their strength. However, the stronger they become, the more difficult it is to control their power, and the sooner they become exhausted and need to de-transform.
To activate the wolf aegis, its wielder must call out, “Howl Havoc” and, “Silence Reigns.” To deactivate.
-
Up next is the Snake Aegis
This Aegis is a piece of colour-shifting alexandrite embedded into a serpent-shaped bangle and is inhabited by Naga, the Sentinel of Change. As the Sentinel of Change, she is the embodiment of a living creature’s innate ability and instinctive desire to adapt to its environment in order to survive. She is represented by the snake, a polarizing creature that is both feared and admired, similar to change itself. It is considered a symbol of evil, dark magic, and temptation, and at the same time, it is also revered as a symbol of medicine, fertility, and rebirth.
As such, Vessels of Naga are usually introspective, resilient and adaptable, ever-changing and always striving for improvement and self-betterment. They are determined to overcome barriers and help others to do the same, rarely losing heart in the face of an obstacle, instead seeing it as a challenge to be overcome. Thus, many of Naga’s vessels are those in the position of guidance, care or progress, often being involved in healthcare, invention, the sciences and educators. But when misplaced, this ability to overcome obstacles often lead the snake aegis wielder to cross boundaries that were put in place for the safety and protection of all; sometimes, the fact that they can is more important than whether they should.
When transformed, wielders of the Snake Aegis also develop snake-like traits such as thermal sense, fangs, scales, as well as superior flexibility and agility to other aegis wielders. The Snake Aegis grants its wielder a unique power dubbed "Devour," which allows them to absorb the energy of their opponents’ attacks and stockpile it into one extremely powerful attack or use it to recharge themselves to remain transformed for longer and heal injuries, though there is a limit to the amount of force that can be absorbed.
To activate the snake aegis, wielders must use the phrase, “Jaws Open.” And its deactivation phrase is, “Brumate.”
-
This next Aegis is one I have touched on briefly and played a significant role in the fate of all the Aegis. That’s right, the Stag Aegis.
This Aegis is a malachite that is embedded in a ring mimicking the shape of a deer’s antlers. It is inhabited by Cernunnos, the Sentinel of Harmony. Cernunnos is partly based off of a Gallo-Roman deity of the same name, who was also associated with the Horned God in Wicca. As the Sentinel of Harmony, Cernunnos embodies the importance of balance and coexistence, for all living creatures to fulfill their roles and maintain the natural order for the survival of all. He is represented by the stag, often labelled by many cultures as the lord of the forest, and as the lord of the forest, it falls to him to maintain balance and harmony across his kingdom.
Thus, vessels of Cernunnos are those with a strong moral compass and sense of justice. They will fight for the prosperity of all living creatures, human or animal. Many go on to pioneer civil rights movements to abolish the cruelty and mistreatment of all living beings. They have a strong sense of community and connection to their surroundings. Thus, the stag aegis has often been wielded by conservationists, activists, and humanitarian workers. However, occasionally the wielders of this aegis may become consumed by their righteousness and concept of justice that they fail to recognize the needs and desires of those they are fighting for, often projecting their own ideals and corrupting their cause.
Due to their strong connection to nature and every living creature, stag aegis wielders also gain the ability to communicate with any animal they come across when they are transformed. All stag aegis wielders will also develop antlers and a keen sense of hearing that is superior to other aegis wielders. The stag aegis also possesses as unique power dubbed Metamorphosis, which allows its users to transform into any animal that they have anatomical and physiological understanding of. As long as this power is active, they are able to freely change between different animals. However, the longer this power is activated, the more energy they use to remain transformed.
To activate this aegis, its wielders must use the phrase, “The Hunt Begins” and deactivate it using the phrase, “The Hunt Ends.”
-
And last but not least, we have the Tiger Aegis.
The tiger aegis is a red tiger’s eye embedded in a belt. It is inhabited by Maung, the Sentinel of Strength. Strength is integral to any creature’s survival. It determines who eats, who starves, who continues their bloodline and who succumbs to natural selection. The tiger is a symbol of strength and power that is revered for its grace and beauty in many cultures, and many more attempt to evoke its strength and courage in the face of adversity. Therefore, vessels of Maung are individuals with extraordinary strength and will, who command admiration and respect among their community. They do not falter in the face of a challenge and will march until they claim victory. They are fierce and determined, and once they have set their mind on a goal, they will not rest until they have achieved it.
Thus, the tiger aegis often finds itself in the possession of leaders, soldiers, and mercenaries. Individuals who are willing to lay their lives on the line for the sake of achieving their goals. However, often times wielders of this aegis will not fret about the morality of their goals, so long as they achieve it.
When transformed, tiger aegis wielders develop physical strength that is superior to other aegis wielders. Wielders may also develop tiger-like features such as tiger ears, tail, claws, fangs, and striping on their bodies. The tiger aegis’ unique power is dubbed “Killing Intent,” which spreads an aura of intimidation to those in their vicinity, activating the flight portion of their fight or flight response which causes their opponents to hesitate, retreat, or freeze in place. This power affects those within a 20 meter radius regardless of whether they are able to see or hear them. This aura also affects allies and may require the user to exert themselves to affect individuals with nerves of steel. However, the longer it is activated, the shorter the time the wielder is able to remain transformed.
The activation phrase used for this aegis is, “Go for the Kill” and its deactivation phrase is, “Hunger slaked.”

Tumblr media
This Work is part of an overarching story that can be read as a one-shot with little overlapping information from other chapters. ⬅ Chapter 17.5 The Club Chapter 19 Pt1: To Be or Not To Be Human ➡ Master List
Chapter 18 Captured, Tortured, and Sealed After returning to their motel rooms from a last night hunt Y/N is visited by an old acquaintance who holds a grudge from the past. Unable to do anything Y/N prays to Castiel amidst the encounter, resulting in the only reason Sam and Dean managed to escape unharmed. But now the fiend has made off with Y/N and when the brothers finally find where he has taken her; it isn't a pretty sight. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Main Story: Y/N is no ordinary Huntress and when she runs into the Winchesters her life takes a turn. As time unfolds, they get to know each other, rely on one another, and demonstrate they care for one another in their own ways. Y/N's life begins to unravel into her history, present, and what lies ahead. She faces resurfacing fears she believed she'd escaped long ago, aided by the Winchester brothers. Their journey together is one of confronting old horrors and finding newfound strength. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
A week had passed since the events that had unfolded in the town, and the camaraderie between Sam, Dean, and Y/N undergoing a subtle transformation. Secrets had been unveiled and confessions laid bare between the brothers, yet neither said anything to Y/N and the trio continued their routines as if nothing had changed; though an undercurrent of understanding pulsed beneath the surface.
After a late-night salt and burn, the trio found themselves back in a motel parking lot. Fatigue clung to them, both physically and mentally, after a hunt that had proven unexpectedly challenging. The sun rose into the sky, casting long shadows as Sam, Dean, and Y/N exited the Impala.
Dean's groan was both an expression of discomfort and an anecdote to the hunt's complications—being thrown across a room wasn't an experience he was eager to repeat. He couldn't resist turning his dissatisfaction into a bickering match, even before stepping out of the car. "No, you're the one who dropped the matches," he grumbled.
Sam rolled his eyes, offering a quick rebuttal as he followed Dean. "I didn't drop them, you threw them at me. And you just suck at throwing."
Their argument might have carried on, if not for Y/N's timely intervention.
"Guys, you're too exhausting for me right now. Come get me when you have food." With that, she veered off toward her own motel room, her door just adjacent to the brothers', and disappeared inside.
Only an hour had passed since Y/N retreated to her room, seeking solace in the familiarity of her own space. A quick shower and change of clothes had offered a fleeting relief from the physical and emotional exhaustion that had settled in after the recent hunt. When a knock echoed through the room, Y/N's thoughts were drawn away from her weariness, assuming it was one of the Winchesters. But when she opened the door, she was met with an unexpected guest—the father of the girl they had helped, a man named John.
Y/N's brows furrowed in confusion, her voice laced with concern as she addressed the man before her. "Oh, John, is everything okay?" Her concern was genuine, a reflection of the empathy she held for those they had crossed paths with in their hunts.
John's appearance was unassuming, but an underlying unease seemed to shroud him. He stood tall and stocky, a presence that contrasted with his current demeanor. He nodded hesitantly, his words carrying a mix of uncertainty and tension. "Yeah, umm, I just had a few questions about, well, you know, a lot of what y'all told us back there. I hope you don't mind me stopping by."
Y/N's features softened, her understanding evident as she stepped aside, welcoming John into her space. She knew that the aftermath of such supernatural encounters often left people with lingering questions and concerns. "Of course, John. I'm here to help. Please, have a seat." She gestured toward the bed, offering a place for him to sit. As she moved to place her bag on the floor, she maintained a sense of ease, focused on being a source of support.
“Well, I really just have one question…” The mood in the room shifted abruptly as John's demeanor underwent a transformation. "How have you survived this long while being this trusting?" His voice took on a sinister edge, sending a shiver down Y/N's spine. His words seemed to carry an ominous weight, laden with an accusation that was as unexpected as it was chilling.
The air seemed to thicken, charged with an inexplicable tension. The room's ambiance turned from familiarity to something unsettling, causing the hairs on the back of Y/N's neck to stand on end. Her gaze met John's, her eyes narrowing as she processed the sudden shift in his behavior. A sense of foreboding settled in the space between them, and Y/N's instincts went on high alert as she confronted the unsettling truth that the man she had welcomed into her room might not be who he appeared to be.
Y/N's steps backward were fueled by a mixture of caution and urgency as if each move could somehow widen the distance between her and the man who was no longer who he seemed to be. Her heart raced in her chest as she desperately scanned the room for potential escape routes, but her retreat only led her deeper into the room, cornering her without a clear means of getting out.
"John?" Y/N's voice quivered, carrying a blend of fear and confusion. Her eyes remained locked on the man's face, searching for any trace of recognition, any flicker of the person she thought she knew. But the man's smile, twisted and menacing, gave way to an unsettling transformation. His eyes, once familiar, shifted to a chilling solid black, revealing the chilling truth—John was no longer himself; he had been overtaken by a demon.
The man's laughter filled the room, a chilling melody of malevolence. His words dripped with a sinister satisfaction, a sense of triumph that he had easily infiltrated her trust. "This was far too easy. You didn't even hesitate for a moment, didn't even consider the possibility."
Y/N's mind raced as she struggled to comprehend the situation she had unwittingly stumbled into. Her instincts screamed at her to devise a plan, to find a way out of this perilous encounter. She mustered her courage, summoning the strength to ask the questions that might offer her a glimpse of what lay ahead.
"Did Sano send you?" The inquiry hung in the air, pregnant with the weight of the truth she feared. The man's response was chillingly calm, each word a revelation of her grim reality.
"Did he release me from hell? Yes. Did he want me to help him capture you? Of course. Is that why I'm here?" His laughter taunted her, revealing the cruel nature of his intentions. "I'm here for my own reasons."
Confusion etched itself into Y/N's features as she sought to understand the motives that had led to her current predicament.
"And what is it you want?" Her voice wavered, a mixture of vulnerability and defiance.
The demon inhaled deeply, a prelude to revealing its malevolent agenda. The words it uttered resonated with a chilling intensity, sending a shockwave through Y/N's senses. "To make you suffer."
Her voice barely above a whisper, Y/N could only manage a tremulous response. "What?"
In this suspended moment, it occurred to Y/N that the Winchesters were mere feet away, separated only by the thin walls of the motel. The demon seemed to read her thoughts, offering a sinister warning that sent a jolt of terror through her. "I wouldn’t if I were you."
As he held up a device—a detonation remote—Y/N's breath caught in her throat. The sinister implication hung heavily in the air and the weight of the situation pressed upon her shoulders.
The demon's grip on the detonation device tightened, his thumb hovering ominously over the button that held the potential to unleash destruction. His taunting words sent a shiver down Y/N's spine, her mind racing to find a solution that would spare her friends from harm. His sinister statement echoed in her ears, "Not unless you want your little boy toys next door in pieces."
Fear clung to her like a suffocating veil, yet Y/N knew she had to act fast. The stakes were high, and time was running out. Her voice quivered as she spoke, every word a plea tinged with desperation. "Alright, you want me to go with you, I will. Just please don't."
The demon's response was laced with a mix of disdain and calculated consideration. He seemed dissatisfied with her readiness to comply as if her cooperation robbed him of the satisfaction he had anticipated. "Now you see, you just willingly coming along doesn't sit well with me."
His discontent was palpable, a reminder of the malevolence that lurked behind the facade of John's body.
"It would have been way more satisfying to have dragged you from your friend's body back in the alley, but you just had to go and torch that plan." His tone took on a twisted amusement as he recounted the event.
Y/N's eyes widened in realization, and her voice trembled as she connected the dots. "That was you?"
The demon's nod was accompanied by a sinister confirmation. "Indeed it was. And imagine my surprise when I finally caught up to you, and that towering Sasquatch was still alive."
In that moment, it became clear to Y/N that this demon was no ordinary adversary. Its persistence and resilience pointed to a formidable power that transcended the typical demonic hierarchy. Faced with this dire threat, she grasped onto the only hope she had left—prayer. Y/N's heart raced as she silently reached out to Castiel, desperately imploring for help. Her prayer carried a sense of urgency as she informed him of their perilous situation, urging him to get Sam and Dean out of there.
While Y/N continued to silently call out to Castiel, she knew that she had to buy as much time as possible which meant keeping the demon talking.
"Why do you want me to suffer? What did I do to you?"
The demon's response was unexpected, and his expression shifted from malevolent to one of apparent hurt. It caught Y/N off guard, her unease deepening. The demon's words carried a haunting weight as he inquired further, "You really don't know who I am, do you?"
The atmosphere in the room grew heavier, and Y/N felt her heart race. She couldn't have anticipated the direction this conversation was taking. As the demon continued, he seemed to unravel a haunting memory, and his voice held a chilling edge. "Ten years ago, Broken Bow, Nebraska."
Y/N's eyes widened, her mind racing, her throat tightened, and her face drained of color as her own memories rushed back to her. Struggling to find her voice, Y/N gasped out, "Jason?"
The demon, now fully revealed as Jason, maintained his intense gaze on Y/N. His words were a chilling indictment, dripping with the weight of past grievances. "I died that night because of you."
This revelation hung in the air, a dark and haunting truth that threatened to consume them both.

At the same time, in the room next door, where Sam had just returned with food and Dean was cracking open a beer, an unexpected visitor disrupted their routine. Castiel's sudden and unannounced appearance made Dean nearly jump out of his skin, his startled exclamation echoing through the room, "Damn, Cass, what the hell?"
However, Castiel appeared preoccupied and paid no heed to Dean's irate outburst. Instead, he scanned the room with an air of confusion, as if something vital was amiss. Sam, ever the thoughtful one, sensed Castiel's unease and sought answers. He inquired with genuine concern, "Hey, everything okay Cass?"
Castiel's response was laden with urgency and a hint of panic. He urgently questioned Sam, "Where is Y/N? Where is the danger?"
Sam and Dean exchanged bewildered glances, struggling to comprehend the gravity of Castiel's words. Dean was the first to vocalize their shared concern, his voice tinged with worry, "Y/N's in her room next door."
Castiel, now facing the Winchesters directly, sought to explain his puzzling arrival. His voice carried a sense of urgency and foreboding as he revealed Y/N's distress signal, "She called me and said you were in danger. That I needed to get you out of here."
The gravity of the situation hit the Winchesters like a freight train. Without hesitation, they rushed to their door, their movements swift and synchronized, with Castiel closely trailing behind them.

Amidst the tense atmosphere, Y/N was taken aback when her motel room door was suddenly subjected to a loud, frantic pounding. Dean's voice boomed from the other side, urgently calling out, "Y/N?! Open this door!?"
The demon confronting her maintained a sinister smile, his malevolence emanating from every wordless gaze. Before any of them could utter another word, Sam and Dean burst into Y/N's room with guns drawn, their entry swift and determined. Castiel followed closely, his presence like a protective shield.
With the barrels of their pistols aimed at the demon's head, they spotted the ominous device he clutched in his hand, its purpose all too clear. Sam, recognizing the man possessed by the demon, couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, "John?"
The demon chuckled darkly, revealing the depths of his malevolence as he taunted, "This is on you."
Y/N, her voice quivering with desperation, took a step forward and implored, "Jason, please!" But before her plea could have any effect, the demon vanished into thin air, leaving Y/N with a sinking feeling of despair.
Frozen in fear, Y/N’s eyes darted to Castiel filled with dread. She knew what was about to transpire, and with a commanding and urgent tone, she cried out, "CASTIEL!"
Castiel, swift to act, had his hands on both brothers. In an instant, the world around them erupted in flames, a fiery explosion that seemed to consume everything in its path. Sam and Dean found themselves miraculously across the highway from their motel with Castiel, just seconds before the detonation.
As the shockwave rippled through the air, debris flew wildly, and the deafening roar of the explosion sent the trio ducking for cover. The sheer force of the blast rattled their bones and senses, but they were alive, saved from the fiery inferno that had consumed their motel room.
In the aftermath of the explosion, Sam and Dean stood motionless, their gazes locked onto the smoldering ruins of the building that had once been their motel room. Disbelief etched into their wide-eyed expressions, their hearts hammered against their chests, and their minds struggled to process what had just occurred. The only coherent thought was the memory of the terror etched across Y/N's face as they were forcefully whisked away from her, leaving her behind.
Dean, his body acting on instinct alone, started moving toward the now-devastated structure, his determination to find Y/N burning fiercely within him. But Castiel intervened, his hand landing firmly on Dean's shoulder, and his voice commanding, "Don't."
Sam, shaken from his daze, swung around and seized the angel by the collar of his coat. His eyes brimmed with unshed tears, and anger radiated from him as he hissed through clenched teeth, "Why? Why did you just leave her? What the hell, Cass?"
Castiel's demeanor remained unyielding, as always, as he met Sam's gaze and replied, "I'm sorry. There wasn't enough time."
Dean's voice erupted with fury as he bellowed, "Time?! You know the drill, Cass. It's always... ALWAYS them over us." He couldn't tear his eyes away from the engulfing flames as he vented his frustration.
Castiel's voice remained unwavering as he responded, addressing both brothers, "Dean. Sam. Y/N wasn't in the building when the explosives went off."
Sam tilted his head, his grip on the angel's coat slackening slightly. Dean, meanwhile, turned to Castiel, his expression a perplexed mix of confusion and doubt.
Sam inquired, "What?"
Dean followed up with an urgent question, "Then where is she?"
Castiel, his gaze shifting between the two brothers, admitted with a tone of uncertainty, "I don't know."
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
In the dimly lit library of the Bunker, Sam and Dean sat around the table, their laptops illuminating their faces as they pondered the unsettling mystery of Y/N's disappearance. Castiel's words echoed in their minds, “ I don't know but I sensed her disappear just as we escaped, moments before the explosion actually happened.”
Dean's brow furrowed as he mulled over their limited clues, his fingers drumming lightly on the table. Y/N was alive, she had to be, but her whereabouts remained a confounding enigma. The brothers suspected the demon, Jason, who had possessed John, was behind her abduction. However, a mere name offered scant leads.
Sam's voice cut through the quiet library as he wrapped up a phone call, "Okay, thanks for letting us know." He hung up and sighed before relaying the information to Dean. “Well John is home, Cass cleared him, and he is no longer possessed.”
“And let me guess he doesn't remember anything.” Dean was trying to restrain his anger but his tone gave it away.
Sam nodded his head, “Yeah seems that way. Cass is going to search around town a bit more.”
Dean took a swig from his beer bottle, frustration tainting his features. "So, we got jack shit for a lead." Dean's anger simmered beneath the surface. "Damn it."
As they contemplated their next move, Sam leaned back in his seat, staring up at the ceiling. He muttered his thoughts aloud, "Who is Jason?"
Dean glanced at his brother, considering the question.
"The way she said his name, it was like she knew him, you know? Like really knew him. Maybe someone from her past?" Sam’s eyes narrowed trying to put pieces he didn’t have together.
"Maybe, but she doesn't really talk about her past.” Dean would point out.
Sam nodded, realization dawning on him, “But we know someone who she does."
Dean grabbed his phone, his fingers deftly dialing a familiar number. After two rings, a familiar voice answered on the other end. "Dean? Everything okay?"
Dean cleared his throat, his voice a mix of concern and determination as he posed his question. "Hey, Angelique. Just on a case, you know, and got a quick question. Did Y/N ever mention someone named Jason to you?"
A brief silence followed on the other end of the line, prompting Dean to check his phone screen to ensure the call hadn't dropped. He tried again, "Angelique? You still there?"
The tension in the room was palpable as Dean and Sam waited for Angelique's response. Her voice, when it finally came, was laced with hesitation, as if she were reluctant to share something deeply unsettling. She questioned Dean, her voice trembling with concern, "Dean, why are you asking about Jason?"
Dean exchanged a worried glance with Sam, and in a swift decision, he put the phone on speaker and placed it on the table, ensuring that both he and Sam could hear the conversation.
Sam leaned in, his eyes locked onto the phone, and he explained their urgent need for information. "Angelique, we need to know who Jason is; he took Y/N."
Angelique's voice wavered with apprehension as she replied, her words heavy with disbelief, "That's not possible. Jason died ten years ago. We... we watched his body burn."
Dean's expression darkened as he absorbed this shocking revelation. He uttered grimly, "Yeah, well, he's a demon now. He possessed a guy, and Y/N is missing. We need to know everything that happened."
Angelique struggled to maintain her composure, the tremors in her voice betraying her inner turmoil. She managed to choke out a soft but heart-wrenching denial, "No..."
Sam and Dean exchanged worried glances, their hearts heavy with the weight of the situation.
The room fell silent, the only sound the soft, shaky breaths of the woman on the other end of the line.
Finally, Angelique took a deep breath, mustering the strength to share her painful memories. She began to explain who Jason had been, recounting a tale from a decade ago that had haunted her ever since.
Angelique's voice resonated, weaving a haunting tale from over a decade ago. Her words painted a vivid picture of a tight-knit group, bound by their shared experiences and the darkness they faced together. Four individuals: Y/N, Jason, Alex, and herself. Each troubled in their own way, they had formed an unlikely but resilient team.
The group of hunters was known for tackling any supernatural threat that crossed their path, offering aid where needed and taking down the creatures that terrorized innocent lives. Y/N, a kitsune, Angelique herself was a witch, while Alex had joined their ranks after they rescued him from a vampire's nest. And then there was Jason, whose identity had been stolen by a shapeshifter, leaving him unable to return home. So, he'd embraced the life of a hunter with their group.
For a while, they operated as a well-oiled machine, handling hunts with skill and precision. But, over time, Jason's methods began to grow increasingly brutal, causing a rift within the team. Y/N attempted to reason with him, but their discussions only led to more conflict.
Then came the night that changed everything. They received a case from fellow hunters involving a supposed vampire nest with just three members. However, Jason, consumed by anger, rushed ahead to confront the threat alone. When the rest of the group arrived, they found a grisly scene: lifeless bodies littered the basement, but they weren't vampires; they were just squatters living in the abandoned building.
Jason hadn't bothered to investigate, simply launching into a violent rampage. He displayed no remorse for his actions, and that's when Y/N finally snapped. In a fit of rage, she punched him, sending him crashing across the room, and declared that he was no longer welcome in their group.
As they started to ascend the stairs to leave, Jason seized an oil lantern that had been used by the victims and hurled it at Y/N's retreating back. Alex, witnessing the attack, pushed both Y/N and Angelique out of harm's way. The lantern shattered upon impact, splattering the wooden stairs with oil and igniting the blaze. The old, dry wood quickly succumbed to the flames, and the inferno spread with terrifying speed.
Amidst the chaos, Alex confronted Jason, berating him for his recklessness. Their argument escalated, and he forcefully shoved Jason against a wall. Meanwhile, Y/N helped Angelique to her feet, and the two frantically searched for an escape route. They finally spotted a small, ground-level window that offered a glimmer of hope.
Y/N acted swiftly, leading Angelique to safety through the window. Once outside, Y/N prepared to return for Alex and Jason, but just as she was about to re-enter the burning building, a deafening explosion rocked the structure. Flames and smoke billowed outward, as Y/N rushed back to the window where she helped pull Alex from the opening. Y/N then began to enter the building to retrieve Jason but Alex grabbed to stop her. Intense heat and flames engulfed the window opening now preventing her from reaching her friend. Jason hadn't made it out on his own, and Y/N could hear his agonized screams as the flames devoured the building.
The room in the Bunker fell silent after Angelique's chilling account, the weight of the past bearing heavily on all who listened. In the quiet, somber atmosphere of the Bunker's library, Angelique's voice carried the weight of years of guilt and sorrow. Her tale had laid bare the deep wounds that still festered within the group, wounds that Y/N, Alex, and Angelique had carried with them for more than a decade.
Y/N, ever burdened by a sense of responsibility, blamed herself relentlessly. She replayed the moments leading up to that fateful night, wondering if there was something more she could have done to prevent Jason's descent into darkness. Her self-recrimination extended to not stopping him from going alone, not delving deeper into his troubles, and not ensuring everyone's safety before her own.
Angelique carried her own burden of guilt, tied to the injury she'd sustained in the fall. She lamented how her twisted ankle had limited her mobility, believing that if she hadn't been injured, she could have climbed out of the window on her own instead of needing Y/N’s help.
Alex, too, bore the weight of culpability. He blamed himself for starting the fight in the basement instead of swiftly evacuating their group from the dangerous situation.
Sam and Dean sat in somber silence, their expressions reflecting the heaviness of Angelique's narrative. Sam, ever the empathetic soul, couldn't let the conversation end without offering some words of comfort. He broke the silence with a heartfelt, "I'm sorry, that's tough."
Dean, still processing the information, finally found his voice. He cleared his throat and asked the pivotal question that had been gnawing at him. His tone was focused, and his mind was already racing ahead with plans. "Angelique, where did the fire happen? If it's some kind of revenge thing, he probably took her back to where it all happened."
Angelique's voice held a tinge of sadness as she responded, "Broken Bow, Nebraska."
With that critical piece of information, Dean and Sam thanked Angelique for her assistance. They assured her that they would stay in touch and provide updates on the situation. The phone call ended, leaving the room in the Bunker filled with a palpable sense of urgency.

As the Impala sped through the miles of highway, the urgency in Dean's driving was palpable. Broken Bow, Nebraska, was their next destination, and Dean was determined to make the six-hour journey in just two. Every second counted in their mission to find Y/N.
Sam, seated in the passenger seat, was hard at work with his laptop, sifting through the digital archives in search of any information about the tragic fire that had scarred Broken Bow a decade ago. He read aloud the details he managed to unearth, painting a grim picture of the incident. "Ten years ago, the old inn caught fire just a week before the historical society was getting ready to restore it as a local museum. Four bodies were found in the basement, unrecognizable. They were identified by their dental records, including one Jason Scottmen, who had already previously been declared dead."
Dean nodded, his grip on the steering wheel firm and determined. "Sounds like the place," he acknowledged, his voice steady despite the weight of their quest.
"Yeah, but they demolished that building after the fire, and nothing has been built there since." Sam continued to scan the information on his laptop, and a hint of concern colored his words.
Dean's jaw clenched at the thought of a dead end before they even arrived, but he didn't let it deter him. "Still our only lead," he affirmed, determination in his voice. "I say we still check it out."
Sam silently agreed, understanding that sometimes they had to dig through ashes to uncover the truth, even if it meant sifting through the past of a town that had tried to move on from a dark chapter in its history.

Y/N's eyelids felt like they were laden with bricks, her head throbbing as she gradually tried to pry them open. Her vision remained blurred, but the dismal gray surroundings told her she was still trapped in the same dark, dank concert room as before. She dared not move too much or else the subtle dull pain coursing through her body would ignite into something greater.
Squinting, she glanced to the side, her eyes meeting a nightmarish scene. A shadowy figure stood by a metal table, its surface adorned with an array of gruesome tools and instruments. These devices were designed for the dual purposes of surgery and torture, and their malevolent presence in the room sent shivers down Y/N's spine.
Amidst the eerie silence, Y/N's labored breaths were the only sound, accompanied by the faint clinking of larger metal implements hanging ominously on the walls. Then, the figure spoke, and Y/N's heart pounded in her chest.
"It's about time you woke up," the voice belonged to Jason, who now stood before Y/N, his presence casting a dark shadow over her. Y/N struggled against the unforgiving shackles that held her suspended from the ceiling. Her arms were cruelly restrained, hanging helplessly above her head, rendering her powerless.
Despite her futile efforts, Jason seemed amused, a twisted smile playing on his lips. "I expected a lot more from the Winchester's bitch," he taunted, his voice laced with malevolence. With the tip of a whip he held in hand, he tilted Y/N's chin upward, forcing her to meet his malevolent gaze. The chain that hung from the rune-engraved shackle around her neck weighed heavily, and Jason yanked it downward, a cruel reminder of the gift he had received from Sano.
Jason circled around Y/N like a predatory vulture, the tip of his whip tracing a macabre path along her battered and exposed skin. Each stroke of the whip applied slightly more pressure whenever it encountered an open laceration or a grotesque bruise, inflicting fresh agony upon her already tortured body. He had cruelly informed Y/N before she had briefly lost consciousness, that the whip was Hell's favored instrument of torment—a fact he had come to appreciate all too well.
As Jason moved behind her, he raised the whip high, his malevolent intent clear in the way he brandished it. With merciless precision, he lashed it across her back in a diagonal strike, cutting through the remnants of his earlier blows. The pain was excruciating, and Y/N's back arched involuntarily, her desperate attempt to evade the torment only thwarted by the unyielding shackles that held her ankles and prevented her from moving too far. She could only reach the ground with her tiptoes, a cruel tease of freedom that did nothing to ease her suffering.
Amidst her screams and gasps for breath, Jason's voice droned on, his monologue a never-ending stream of grievances and accusations.
“Do you have any idea..…”He taunted Y/N with questions she had heard a thousand times before, demanding answers that he already knew, and recounting the horrors he believed she had wrought upon him in Hell.
In the beginning, Y/N had offered apologies and begged for his forgiveness, her voice choked with guilt as she explained how she had been on her way to save him. She admitted that she blamed herself every day for his torment. But after enduring hours of Jason's ceaseless repetition, the physical agony pushing her to the brink of unconsciousness on more than one occasion, Y/N's empathy withered away.
It became painfully clear to her that Jason's sadistic cruelty extended far beyond the bounds of revenge. He reveled in her suffering, just as he had relished the murder of those innocent humans, and she refused to give him the satisfaction of her kindness any longer.
Y/N remained resolute in her silence, steadfastly refusing to utter another word to Jason. The runes, cruelly etched into her shackles, continued to suppress her abilities, rendering her defenseless in the face of his sadistic torment.
Her eyes, heavy with pain and exhaustion, drifted downward once more as Jason positioned himself before her. He seemed to take perverse pleasure in surveying the gruesome tapestry of agony he had woven upon her body. Every inch of her flesh bore the cruel marks of his merciless assault—deep lacerations from a variety of whips and blades, patches of discolored bruises inflicted by blunt instruments like baseball bats, and the unmistakable imprints of his own fists.
There was scarcely a part of her anatomy that had been spared from his malevolent onslaught. Y/N's body had become a canvas of torment, a testament to the depths of cruelty that humans were capable of sinking to, especially when fueled by the vengeful spirit of a demon.

The Impala's engine rumbled to a halt as the Winchester brothers arrived at the location where the old Inn had once stood. What greeted them was a desolate expanse of dead grass, a stark reminder of the destruction that had taken place here years ago.
With a shared sense of determination, Dean and Sam exited the iconic car and began to cautiously explore the area, their eyes scanning the ground for any telltale signs. There was nothing to point them in the right direction, no remnants of the building that had once occupied this space.
Sam took a deep breath and stood near what would have been the front entrance, his gaze fixed on the ground.
Dean joined his brother, "Well, I guess there really is nothing here." surveying the outline on the ground.
However, Sam's keen observation skills soon led him to a curious detail. Without looking away, Sam spoke again, "Don't you think it's odd that the fire was over ten years ago, but this patch of grass still hasn't grown back?"
Dean squinted and followed Sam's gaze, and to his surprise, he realized that there was indeed a distinct shape etched into the lifeless grass. It was as if the memory of the building lingered, refusing to fade entirely. Together, the brothers stepped onto the path that outlined where the Inn had once stood, retracing its ghostly footprint.
Dean, a few steps ahead now, called out to Sam as he advanced, "This place had a basement, right?"
Sam, at a distance but still following the invisible trail, replied, "Yeah, that's where the fire broke out."
As they continued their exploration, Dean's boot suddenly struck something hidden beneath the withered grass, and he realized that it was a concealed entrance to the basement.
Dean knelt down, his fingers brushing away the accumulated debris until he located a sturdy metal handle. With a firm grip, he pulled on it, causing the basement hatch to swing open and expose the black void beneath. Sam joined him at the entrance, the two brothers peering down into the darkness that seemed to swallow them whole.
Sam's face contorted with disbelief as he muttered, "This can't be the basement. The house would have collapsed in on it."
Dean offered a speculative shrug. "Maybe our demon friend dug it out. You know how sentimental they can be sometimes."
Without further hesitation, Sam drew his flashlight from his side along with his pistol and started descending the newly formed stone stairs, Dean following closely behind. Each step seemed to take them deeper into a world that had long been forgotten, shrouded in darkness and mystery.
As they reached the bottom of the staircase, the brothers cautiously scanned their surroundings. All was eerily silent, the only sounds being the faint scurrying of mice that echoed through the underground passages. But just as the oppressive silence threatened to engulf them entirely, a blood-curdling scream pierced the air.
Dean and Sam both spun around on their heels, their eyes locking onto the source of the horrific sound. Without a word exchanged between them, they sprinted down the dimly lit corridor.

Moments before
Jason's attention was momentarily diverted as he glanced up at the ceiling, his senses tingling with an impending disturbance from above. With a sigh that carried a hint of irritation, he shifted his gaze back to Y/N, his voice dripping with mock disappointment as he addressed her, "Well, looks like our playtime is up."
Jason carelessly tossed the blade he had been using onto the metal table nearby, the sound echoing in the dimly lit room. He circled around Y/N, his movements deliberate and unhurried, savoring the final moments of their twisted encounter.
"Seems your little boy toys have finally made their way here," he continued, his tone laced with a sinister satisfaction. "I have to say, though, I'm rather unimpressed with how long it took them."
Y/N strained to follow his movements, her battered body unable to turn to face him. She listened intently, her senses sharpened by desperation, as Jason mentioned the arrival of her friends.
What Y/N couldn't see Jason retrieved a cast iron branding stake from a nearby surface, it’s tip had an outer circle and inner circle with runes between the two as well as a pentagon in the center of the smaller circle connecting its points to the circle. Then there was the ominous glow of the blowtorch that ignited it. Her heart raced as she realized the impending horror she was about to endure.
"Don't worry, though," Jason taunted, the torch's flame flickering ominously. "I'll be sure to come visit you again soon enough."
Fear gripped Y/N as the heat from the torch radiated against her back, sending shivers down her spine. Panic welled within her, and she struggled to catch even a fleeting glimpse of the sinister tableau unfolding behind her.
Her eyes widened with horror as she finally grasped the cruel reality of Jason's intentions. But before she could voice her agony, the searing-hot metal of the branding stake was pressed into her flesh. The pain was excruciating, causing her to clamp her eyes shut as tears streamed down her battered face. A soul-piercing scream erupted from her throat, reverberating off the walls of the grim chamber.
Jason, his lips curled into a sadistic grin, maintained the tormenting contact of the branding stake against her delicate skin, relishing in her torment for a moment longer than necessary.
The heavy, frantic thumping of their boots against the hard ground filled the room as Sam and Dean rushed forward, desperation fueling their every step. As they rounded a corner, their eyes fell upon the nightmarish tableau that awaited them—the torture chamber where Y/N had been held captive.
Their hearts shattered into a million pieces at the gruesome sight that unfolded before them. Y/N hung from the ceiling, her frail form suspended by chains that had bound her, her body bearing the gruesome marks of relentless abuse and torment. But what sent waves of fury coursing through their veins was the sadistic figure that stood behind her, the branding stake still clutched in his hand.
Dean's voice, raw with unbridled rage, thundered through the room as he bellowed, "YOU SON OF A BITCH!!" Without hesitation, he unloaded his entire magazine into the demon, his fury manifesting in a barrage of gunfire that reverberated through the chamber.
Beside him, Sam joined the onslaught, his finger squeezing the trigger of his pistol relentlessly. The room filled with the deafening roar of their firearms, an anguished symphony of vengeance and despair.
Jason, the demon, twisted and writhed, the black tendrils of his essence oozing from the mouth of the hapless human vessel he had inhabited. He seemed to revel in their torment, his laughter echoing malevolently even as the bullets pierced his smoky form.
Then, with eerie calmness, the demon abandoned its host, the black smoke dissipating as it escaped through a crack in the wall. Dean stood frozen, his eyes locked on the lifeless human vessel that lay discarded on the ground.
Meanwhile, Sam rushed to Y/N's side, his trembling hands reaching out to her battered form. Panic laced his breath as he scanned her bruised and battered body, realizing the extent of her suffering. He wanted to touch her, to reassure her, but the sheer brutality of her injuries left him hesitant.
"Dean!" Sam's voice was laced with urgency, an attempt to snap his brother out of his horrified stupor.
Dean turned at the sound of his name, his heart heavy with dread as he approached Sam and Y/N, who hung in her chains, abused and broken. His mind raced, and the first word that left his lips was a desperate call, "Cass!"
Sam shook his head, “Not going to work.” his face was etched with frustration and anxiety as he pointed to the Angel ward on the ceiling, a malevolent precaution taken by Jason to cut off communication with Castiel. Dean's heart sank further as he looked up; they were on their own.
Sam lightly swatted Dean's shoulder, a silent plea for him to focus. “Steady her.” He instructed with determination, he pointed to the locking mechanism that held Y/N's chains taut, a clear indication that their immediate concern was freeing her from her torment.
Dean nodded, his jaw set with grim determination, and immediately stripped off his jacket and flannel shirt. He held them out, ready to cover Y/N as Sam began the delicate process of lowering her to the ground.
Kneeling on the cold, unforgiving floor, Dean watched with bated breath as Sam worked on the locks. His heart ached at the sight of Y/N's battered form, but he couldn't afford to show weakness now. Gently, he brushed her hair away from her face, his voice tender and urgent as he pleaded, "Y/N, hey, look at me."
Y/N's eyes, clouded with pain, exhaustion, and the horrors she had endured, seemed almost lifeless. The sight terrified Dean, and he continued to beseech her, "Come on, sweetheart, say something, please."
Sam momentarily looked up from his task as he worked on the last shackle, his own eyes brimming with concern. Their shared apprehension grew as the seconds ticked by in silence.
It was only when Sam finally managed to free Y/N's hand, allowing her to squeeze his finger weakly, that both brothers exhaled the collective breath they'd been holding. Relief washed over them like a soothing balm.
Sam wasted no time. "Come on, we need to get her to Cass," he urged, already moving to Y/N's side to help Dean carry her.
Dean cradled Y/N in his arms with the utmost care, his eyes filled with protectiveness and worry. Without hesitation, he retraced their steps through the dark, foreboding passages, carrying the precious weight of Y/N's worn body.
Dean continued calling for Castiel, his voice tinged with desperation, even as they reached the Impala and started heading back to the bunker. Dean’s concern deepened every time there was no answer.
In the back, Sam sat with Y/N propped up in his lap, constantly checking her pulse, urging Dean to drive faster, and praying that they would reach Castiel in time to save her.
As Dean's car sped down the highway, the world outside was a blur, mirroring the turmoil inside him. An hour into the drive, his phone interrupted the heavy silence. An unknown number flashed on the screen, but a gut feeling made Dean answer.
"Dean, where are you?" Castiel's voice crackled through the line, laden with regret and urgency.
Dean's frustration and fear boiled over. "Where am I? Where the hell are you? I've been calling you for the last hour. We found Y/N, but she's in bad shape, Cass, and I mean really bad. You need to get your ass here now."
Castiel's response only added to the mounting confusion. "Dean, I can't. I can't find you."
Dean's face contorted in bewilderment. "What do you mean you can't find us? Your GPS broken or something?"
Castiel tried to explain, but his words held an air of helplessness. "Something like that. I can't sense you, Sam, or Y/N. I can't get a pinpoint on your location. Something is... interfering."
Dean's jaw clenched, a battle of emotions raging within him. He finally spoke through gritted teeth, his words loaded with frustration and desperation. "Cass, you listen here. You get your ass to the Bunker, and you be ready the second we pull up, got it?"
Castiel nodded, though Dean couldn't see the gesture. "Right, I'll be there." The call ended, leaving Dean to gaze at Sam through the rearview mirror. His eyes spoke volumes, reflecting the pain, anxiety, and determination that swirled within him.

Dean's arrival at the bunker was nothing short of chaotic. With tires screeching, he hastily pulled into the garage, threw the car into park, and jumped out before the engine had fully stilled. Sam had already clambered out of the back seat, cradling Y/N's fragile form in his arms.
The brothers stormed through the bunker's corridors, the weight of their injured friend driving them forward. Dean's voice rang out, echoing through the halls as he called, “CASS!” The urgency in his tone was palpable.
Castiel, ever vigilant, appeared in the doorway of the infirmary. He stood there, an unwavering presence, ready to assist as needed.
"What happened?" Castiel’s voice held a hint of concern as Sam and Dean entered the infirmary, Castiel followed, the worry etched across his features.
It wasn't until Sam gently laid Y/N on the examination table that Castiel got a clear view of her injuries. His expression darkened, the gravity of the situation settling upon him as Sam began to remove the blood-soaked layers of clothing, revealing the horrors that lay hidden beneath.
Dean's eyes remained fixed on Y/N's still form, his heart aching with a mixture of fear, anger, and helplessness. Sam, more accustomed to seeing Y/N in such dire straits, placed a comforting hand on Dean's shoulder and gently turned him toward the door.
Sam's voice was tender as he urged, "Let's give Cass some room, alright?"
Dean allowed Sam to guide him out of the room, his eyes never leaving Y/N's battered form. Castiel nodded to Sam, his angelic presence unwavering, as he prepared to tend to their wounded friend. The atmosphere in the room was heavy with worry and the unspoken fear of what Y/N had endured.

The library was cloaked in heavy silence, Sam and Dean's anxiety simmering as they waited for any news on Y/N's condition. It felt like an eternity, but in reality, only about 30 minutes had passed before Castiel finally appeared in the doorway, a red-stained towel in hand, exhaustion etched across his body.
Dean, ever vigilant, was the first to notice Castiel's arrival. He subtly nudged Sam, who was sitting at the table with his head in his hands. Both brothers stood, their eyes locked onto Castiel, waiting for the words they both longed to hear but feared to utter.
Sam struggled to find his voice, anxiety and dread constricting his words as he asked, "So uh.. so how.. how is she?"
Castiel nodded gravely, his voice steady as he delivered the long-awaited answer, "She is stable and resting comfortably now."
The collective tension in the room seemed to dissolve into thin air. Relief washed over Dean and Sam, their shoulders sagging as they released the breath they had been holding. Dean, in a rare moment of vulnerability, pulled Castiel into a tight hug, an unspoken expression of gratitude and relief that caught the angel off guard.
After the embrace, Castiel continued, his weariness evident, "Yes, well, while I was able to close all her wounds, some of the scars still remained. I'm afraid that with the extent of her injuries, I was forced to pick and choose how best to spend my energy."
Sam nodded understandingly, his concern for Castiel now evident. He asked, "Do you need to sit down? You look exhausted."
Castiel contemplated the offer for a moment before declining gently, "Maybe in a moment. There is still one other concern at hand..."
With those words, Sam and Dean's attention snapped back to Castiel, their faces etched with newfound worry. Castiel took a deep breath, preparing to deliver less comforting news.
"The umm, brand on her back," Castiel began, "I wasn't able to just heal it. It's actually a ward placed there to seal away Y/N's abilities."
The room seemed to grow colder as the implications of Castiel's revelation sank in. Sam and Dean exchanged glances, their expressions mirroring the shock and disbelief they both felt.
Dean's voice was laced with incredulity as he asked, "So are you telling us that she is... human?"
Castiel met their gaze with solemnity and a hint of regret, "Until it can be removed, yes. Y/N is essentially human at this moment."
Dean's initial shock gave way to a determined resolve as Sam probed further, seeking reassurance from Castiel. He asked, "But you can remove it, right?"
Castiel nodded once more, his expression grave as he clarified, "It would be painful. Much like how I removed your anti-possession tattoo from your chest for Crowley. With that being said, I believe it would be best to wait until she is awake and feeling up to it."
Sam nodded, accepting the angel's assessment. He replied, "Yeah, okay."
Dean, ever the pragmatist, stepped forward, his gaze locked onto Castiel. He inquired with a hint of concern, "So, you mean like no more ears and tails appearing kind of human, right?"
Sam turned to his brother, trying to gauge Dean's emotions and thoughts. Castiel, however, didn't hesitate to confirm Dean's question with a solemn nod, "Yes, Dean."
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
As the night surrendered to the gentle light of dawn, hours slipped away in the bunker. Sam and Dean had been vigilant, taking turns throughout the night checking on Y/N, sitting with her, their hopes resting on the possibility that she would awaken soon.
In the quiet of the early morning, Castiel had chosen to remain in the bunker rather than depart as he often did, giving himself time to recover from the exertion of healing Y/N's grievous injuries.
As the day wore on, it became late afternoon when Sam decided to return to Y/N's room, where they had moved her, making her more comfortable as they continued their watch.
Sam entered the room,. and to his surprise, Y/N was awake, sitting up in her bed. Her attention was fixed on her hands, which she flexed with a mixture of concern and confusion, as if trying to grasp something elusive.
From the corner of her eye, Y/N detected movement, and she looked up to find Sam walking into her room. Their gazes met, and she couldn't conceal the uneasiness that clouded her features. Her voice trembled as she voiced her immediate worry, "What's wrong with me?"
Sam could see the unease in Y/N's eyes as he approached her bedside slowly and gently. His expression was a mix of relief and worry, reflecting the rollercoaster of emotions they had all experienced since finding her. He took a deep breath and offered a reassuring smile, trying to convey comfort and understanding as he searched for the right words.
"Hey, it's okay," he began, his voice calm and soothing, as if trying to shield her from the harsh realities. "You've been through a lot, Y/N."
Y/N swallowed hard, her throat dry with anticipation. The concern etched across Sam's face was impossible to miss, and she knew that his demeanor meant something bad had happened. Her voice quivered as she asked the question that hung heavily in the air, "Sam..."
Sam sighed, his shoulders slumping with the weight of the revelation he was about to share. There was no easy way to break the news. "Alright," he began, the word heavy with reluctance. "Castiel... he was able to heal your wounds but... Jason branded you with a ward that seals away your Kitsune side."
The room seemed to tighten around them as the gravity of this revelation settled in. Y/N felt a profound shift in her very essence, a part of her identity now locked away. Her eyes fell to her hands as if expecting to see tangible evidence of this change.
Sam took a seat beside her, keeping a respectful distance but ensuring she knew he was there for her. His eyes radiated empathy and concern as he continued, "You're going to be okay though. Castiel said it can be undone when you're ready, but you need to recover more first."
Y/N nodded her head hesitantly, her thoughts racing to grasp the enormity of the situation. She felt adrift, a sense of loss enveloping her. Her Kitsune abilities had been a fundamental part of who she was.
"You're still you, Y/N, just... a bit different right now, more… human," Sam reassured her gently, his warm hand covering one of hers.
Feeling a mixture of emotions—fear, confusion, and the desire to process everything—Y/N finally found her voice. "Can... Can I just have a moment, please Sam."
Sam seemed uncertain about leaving her alone, but he understood the need for solitude. "Yeah, sure," he replied softly, squeezing her hand gently. "I'll go get you something to eat."
With one last glance filled with reassurance and care, Sam stood, gave her a small side hug, and then headed for the door, leaving Y/N to grapple with the profound changes that had been thrust upon her.
The moment Sam was out of sight of Y/N, his body relaxed more as he ran his hands through his hair and took a deep breath. It was as though he had momentarily carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. His steps led him down the bunker's halls, heading for the kitchen, but he heard voices coming from the library. He figured he should fill Dean and Castiel in on Y/N's awakening, so he followed the voices.
Dean noticed Sam as he walked through the doorway, but his expression held a mix of surprise and concern. He hadn't expected Sam back so soon since he had left Y/N's room. He asked with genuine concern, "Everything okay?"
Sam nodded, though his voice betrayed his unease. "Yeah, uh... Y/N's awake. And she instantly knew something was wrong with her." He motioned over his shoulder in the direction of Y/N's room.
Dean's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "What?"
Castiel, standing nearby, chimed in with his calm demeanor. "I'm not surprised. When I became human, it was instantly obvious—a startling contrast to what I'd always known."
Dean looked between Sam and Castiel, his frustration evident. He wondered why Castiel sometimes felt the need to overcomplicate his words. Then, focusing on Sam, he questioned, "So, you told her?"
Sam seemed taken aback by Dean's reaction. "Well, yeah, I told her. What else was I supposed to say?"
Dean's irritation flared as he responded sharply, "I don't know, Sammy. You could have come up with something, though. She's already been through a lot; she didn't need this piled on top of it."
Sam scoffed at Dean's words, the disagreement palpable in the air. "Dean, she can FEEL it. It's not something we can just hide from her. And why are you even upset about this?"
Just as Dean was about to fire back, Y/N's voice emerged from the library doorway, calling out to them. The tone of her voice was enough to bring both brothers to an abrupt halt. Their anger seemed to evaporate in an instant.
"Guys..."
Sam, Dean, and Castiel all turned their attention to the library doorway where Y/N stood. The weariness in her eyes was evident, a testament to the physical and emotional toll she had endured. Y/N, dressed in a baggy t-shirt and shorts, bore scars along her arms and legs, their light pink hue serving as a reminder of the ordeal she had gone through. She crossed one arm over her body while holding onto the other, exuding vulnerability.
Castiel stepped forward, a hint of concern in his voice. "Y/N, you shouldn't be out of bed."
Sam and Dean exchanged a silent glance, a brief but meaningful conversation between them. Dean took the initiative, heading toward Y/N. Despite his proximity, he didn't touch her, merely offering an arm to guide her to a nearby seat.
Y/N managed a weary smile, attempting to lighten the atmosphere. "Yeah, I know, but I heard some yelling and figured I'd better stop these two before it got too far out of hand." She followed her words with a soft, strained laugh.
Dean, concerned and caring, inquired, "How are you feeling?" His arm hovered around her back, ready to assist her to the seat Sam was pulling out for her.
Y/N moved slowly toward the offered seat, each step a conscious effort. She replied, "Heavy. My entire body just feels heavy and stiff, like every movement is a conscious effort."
Castiel observed her movements and couldn't help but offer his perspective, albeit in his characteristically matter-of-fact manner. "Your Kitsune heritage gave you animal-like reflexes, agility, and nimbleness. Without it, your physical capabilities have most likely been reduced to that of an average human."
Sam and Dean shot Castiel a look that conveyed their shared sentiment: he wasn't helping.
Realizing that the look Sam and Dean were giving him was of disapproval Castiel cleared his throat in an attempt to comfort Y/N, "But once you have had more time to recover, I can remove the seal for you."
A brief silence filled the library. Sam, Dean, and Castiel waited for Y/N to respond, sensing her hesitation. When she finally did speak, her voice carried a hint of uncertainty, not because she lacked confidence in her words but because she was unsure of how the guys would react to her thoughts. Y/N's question hung in the air, "What if... what if I didn't want it removed?"
Confusion washed over the faces of Sam, Dean, and Castiel. Castiel was the first to articulate the question that lingered in their minds. "Why wouldn't you want it removed?"
Y/N's gaze remained fixed on the floor in front of her. If she had them, her Kitsune ears and tails would be motionless and tightly against her body. She spoke softly, choosing her words carefully to explain her perspective.
"Being a... Kitsune has been the cause of all my problems my whole life. If I were born human... my mother wouldn't have died like she had. I wouldn't have lived for years, constantly watching people I cared about die, outlive me, leave when they find out, become scared of me, or be hurt because of me. I wouldn't constantly be hunted. The other Kitsunes and Inari would be locked away from the world. The list goes on... but now, maybe at least for now, I can't be tracked, and Sano and Jason won't be able to find me."
The room fell into a heavy silence. No one knew what to say at this point, but it was evident that Y/N had already given this a lot of thought in a short amount of time. Sam simply placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

I think the issue with hanahaki is in the way it's similar to the romantisization of consumption in some ways
like obliviously both are lung diseases whatever but on a grander scale
there is that inherent 'stare at the car crash' part of human brains that also makes people want to watch disability but specifically abled bodied people like watching a disability they could never get this is where we get the love of fictional magical disability's that straight up just couldn't exist
it let's you hide behind both the smoke screen of fiction as well as the fact no one could get what you're writing about which in some ways removes the ableism that is in some way inescapable when writing about a disability you do not have
in this way able bodied people (who this post is about I understand people with neurodiversity using physical disability to talk about it but I'm not neurodivers and therefore will not be touching that) are able to express in some way their own feelings on living in a disabled body but in a very odd way
there are lot's of pillars to hanahaki as a literary device
disease of the lungs that left unchecked will become fatal
is caused by strong emotions
is curable but leaves the person forever changed or
is cured when the person of the sufferers affection confesses to them
now it's easy to already see the glaring pitfalls here but just to break down the points first
DISEASE OF THE LUNGS THAT LEFT UNCHECKED WILL BECOME FATAL so this as we where talking about before is a manifestation of the inherent fear of disease being acted out in a safe place (fiction) where someone is able to play at what it would be like to be disabled
I do think this is a good thing (to an extent) the exercise of 'putting yourself in another's shoes' is a common form of empathy building that can be useful for a lot of people but you always do have to remember that you are portraying experiences real people have and always have to be careful with that responsibility
IS CAUSED BY STRONG EMOTIONS this is where we start getting into problems a large part of ableism is correlating a physical failing to a moral failing due to the fear of becoming disabled (makes total sense) people like to think that there's no way that could happen to THEM and some people do that by blaming someones disability on them in some way (past lives sins mistakes as a child etc) so perpetuating the idea that ANY disability can be in any way related to a persons character of emotions is a dicey place to start due to the long history of stigma you are dragging behind you with that starting point
IS CURABLE BUT LEAVES THE PERSON CHANGED FOREVER this is where we will take a small (and un-serious) dip into the hatred for aro people at the core of this guys... if you'd genuinely choose dying of flowers growing in you lungs over never loving someone romantically again you have something profoundly wrong with your priority's but to the point a large part of this is also the fear mongering about the medical field as well as (again) a way to try and think about the fact you can never actually fully recover from a disease so all encompassing but in a safe fictional way which is fine but the constant message that you (the writer or the characters is does not matter) would rather die than live disabled is real rhetoric that is killing real disabled people and the perpetuation of it in fiction is definitely aiding in that view and that is a very serous thing to say and I do not think the authors understand the implications of it
IS CURED WHEN THE PERSON OF THE SUFFERERS AFFECTION CONFESSES TO THEM and we're back to disability being connected to the emotional state of the person who has it part of having a disability to the extent of hanahaki is the fact that you would never recover from it in the real world and the idea that you can both love someone enough they stop being disabled as well as the idea you could fully cure a disability with no negative side effects is a wild portrayal of disability that downplays the lived experiences of people who actually suffer from them
when you look at hanahaki outside of the context as just another way to formulate love stories it portrays a disability that is 1 caused by the person who has it 2 worth dying to avoid the after effects of 3 and put's the person in a place where they have to be 'saved' by an able bodied person in their life this portrayal of disabled people where they both lack autonomy but also are the only one to blame for their affliction is built on decades of ableism made to discredit disabled people and their actual lived experiences

Note
can i pls get the story behind your oc
Of course,of course!
Pre Jttw:
Well for starters Mings story of course starts with his birth, he and his brother Bai were both born from flowers(Ming was born from white lillies specifically) and their first few years were spent raised by an elderly couple.
The husband was a doctor which was convenient because Mings immune system is as reliable as burning garbage and he's a literal wild child that will square up to anything that looks like he could potentially bite it's ear off, needless to say the old man started to not only treat him but also give him a crash course on medicine as soon as possible in hopes of keeping the boy from having an early meeting with King Yama.
Sadly what little home and family they had didn't last long, due to circumstances they end up pretty much homeless, travelling through the lands having to survive on their own from a pretty young age. There are the occasional nice people that let them stay a few nights but they end up leaving eventually.
During Jttw:
After a few years of living like this, getting into all kinds of mischief and misadventures, this is where they meet the monk, it was probably pretty early in the journey before he even met his disciples. After a nasty demon attack Tang sanzang was left wounded but since luck is always on his side he was found and rescued by a certain pair of brothers who just left the house they were staying in and were just as quick to return with a bleeding monk in tow-
They spent a few more days there looking after him until eventually his attendance came to collect him and continue his journey. Now that probably should have been where they parted ways but Ming being a very committed (self proclaimed) doctor doesn't think Tang sanzang is healed enough to be out of his care, so like a normal person he decides to just follow them like a duckling following their mama-. Did Bai think this was a bad idea? Yes. Did he discourage it? No, absolutely not because they are two kids utterly supportive of each others dumb ideas.
So after the monk became a proud single parent of two the journey carries on and even with his disciples and new horse to aid him, his wounds fully healed , there literally being not a single reason for them to stick around- these kids are in too deep and stay regardless.
Not really story related but since all the pilgrims were an allegory of the human mind I think Ming would be associated with emotions, specifically emotions that were allowed to always be shown at full force. His character is very expressive and fast paced, he wears his heart on his sleeve with high empathy and emotionally intelligent. But of course to much of anything is never good causing him to be very impulsive to a dangerous degree and his energy can be very overwhelming to most.
Sadly his journey doesn't end on a happy note, infact he never makes it to the end, dying of illness several years into the trip. He is buried and given a grave near his old home.
During Lmk:
Ooooh boy- now here's the thing though, Mings ghost didn't want to move on, he didn't want to get reincarnated alone so he decided to break out of the underworld and just wait at his grave, like surely they will visit his grave eventually right? Surely his brother will visit right?
...right?
Well yes but actually no- he's just stuck there, waiting for who knows how long with his only entertainment being watching his own grave rot and slowly get overgrown by nature. Left alone with his thoughts that increasingly go through worst and worst scenarios of what might be going on for weeks,months...maybe even years. He doesn't know he stopped counting the days a long time ago.
And then one day he just sees Sun wukong, someone he viewed as his brother running around most definitely not there to visit him with...well at first he thought it were the other pilgrim's but then he noticed the difference more than the similarities between them, along side someone that reminded him an awful lot of himself and even his brother. (More oc's I have-) further more their vastly different clothing, the device's they carried it made him realize he had been here for a very long time.
He really didn't know what he felt in that moment. Rage? Betrayal? Maybe even just sadness. He can't even recall what he did, other than scream and cry a lot the rest is just black and blurry with any noise getting drowned out by his own voice or just generally sounding muffled.
He eventually snapped out of it, even if it took others fighting him to do so. He realized had lashed out at the group, he didn't feel guilty for trying to attack wukong, he did feel guilty about attacking people who's only crime was that they resembled the people he knew.
Just like that Ming went from wishing someone would come to wanting to be utterly alone again. So he ran away.
Of course, a child left in a vulnerable state is also easy to take advantage of...

Rilyr Devhaeraun — LV 3 Assassin Drow Haunted One
STR 9, CON 12, DEX 17
INT 15, WIS 14, CHA 16
Tumblr media
My potential Strahd PC. DM said we’re likely starting level 3 or 4. I still have months to finish the current campaign im DM’ing but I’ve been wanting to mull over a good PC and decent backstory to work his personality off of.
“A signature piece of clothing or distinct weapon serves as an emblem of who I am.”
Ril wears a gold mask as per his dedication to the god Vhaeraun. It also serves to protect his expressions, he’s very emotive with his eyes and would prefer not to give away himself. He hardly ever removes it unless he’s by himself, including sleeping with it. Its metal hooks around his ears, and leaves them rather sore.
“Obsession: I've lived this way for so long that I can't imagine another way.”
He grew up in the hyper vigilance of drow society. He wants to trust others but finds himself unable to, much to his own and others’ frustrations. He is good at underhandedness. He is good at surviving. He struggles with much else to the degree that when offered a calm life of simplicity on the surface, he instead returned to join the Vhaerunites.
“I owe much to my vanished mentor. I seek to continue their work even as I search to find them.”
Ril was taken under the wing of a Vhaeraunite darkmask priest, Imal, an older drow and fellow trans man intent on aiding and uniting the drow as a singular equal species, to disrupt the extreme stratifications of their culture.
Imal helped him transition and smuggled him out of the Underdark to the surface. After Ril wasn’t able to find peace living a simple life, he returned to Imal, wanting to help save others like himself. Imal taught Ril much of what he knows now, and encouraged him to hone his dark, haunted feelings of remorse, guilt, and anger into his assassination skill set.
Imal was slain in the Underdark after he, Ril, and others attempted to rescue other drow from the clutches of the Lolth priestesses. Ril has since dedicated all he can to implore towards Imal’s cause. He takes it upon himself to set out to kill the drow who have taken on unwilling consorts.
“I believe doom follows me and that anyone who gets close to me will face a tragic end."
In addition to pre-existing trust issues, Ril keeps people at arm’s length. After Imal’s death, he believes anyone who tries to help him will simply be punished by Lolth and her cult. He desires connection terribly, despite it all.
The petty details of his backstory aren’t as important as the fact he’s so deeply untrusting and yet craves affection that I think Strahd could try to manipulate him with it. Plus it could add a level of empathy between him and the consorts, perhaps make him unwilling to fight or attack them if it comes to it.
His mask acts as kind of a conversation piece as well, he’s willing to talk about it if anyone were to ask but Will act out if you try to touch it.
