↳ mafia au + ot7 x reader. every character in here needs to go therapy but also not because i need to see more drama unfold. ot7 seems to care for the mc but their actions shown are... uhmm... questionable. but that makes this fic good though! reading each chapter like it’s the morning newspaper

↳ idolverse au + vmin x reader. GOD THIS WAS INTENSE, i was shaking, gasping, and throwing uppp!! vmins are menaces in this one but god you can’t help but want more D: i’m like the mc--who’s a moth attracted to the flame.

↳ a/b/o au + poly ot7 x reader. each relationships between the members and towards reader is mysterious and there was underlying tension of meeting the pack’s expectation. in some way, it gets uncomfy at some parts yet that is what keeps each chapter an enjoyable read.

↳ soulmate au + ot7 x reader. mc is very unlucky gal... not only having one BUT SEVEN yandere as soulmates lmaoo.. and the soulmark inflicts on both people if one of them gets hurt. that’s rough damn! i’m still unsure if all of them know that all of them are sending her letters. keep notifications ON for this fic

↳ cult + supernatural au + poly ot7 x reader. it was defintlely chilling while i read this. while there’s some sense of normalcy, the larger control of the cult makes keeps us feeling uneasy.

↳ strangers from hell au + ot7 x reader. i haven’t read watched the kdrama so i can’t compare between the two. this is definitely interesting as we can see SOME insight to how ot7 plans it and covers up their tracks to avoid getting caught. i hope the mc can get the tf out that apartment and we can see the reasoning for these actions of ot7 in future chapters

↳ high school au + maknae line x reader. all characters are of legal age btw! sucks to be mc because she just getting snatched from each guy like that. and she’s the class president but kinda powerless since two of them control her status at the school. all three of them are massively wicked and im kinda digging it LMAO

- thou shall not steal by @xherxx

↳ mafia + spy + enemies to lovers au + poly ot7 x reader. as the author mentioned, this fic is on the lighter side of the yandere spectrum. i love the mc in this fic. a girlboss icon actually. adored every interactions between the mc and each member. it’s a VERY pleasant read lol

↳ poly sope x reader. this felt like a movie to this. i could picture everything in my head and sope was quite mysterious in this. and the little details placed throughout the story makes it enticing to continue reading.

↳ mafia au + poly ot7 x reader. the way ot7 brings hopes up for the mc before crushing them down so she breaks and realizes that her only option is them is tragic for the mc... yet it’s a whole serve!

↳ fairy tale au + ot7 x oc. each member is based on a character of well known fairy tales. for the mc to leave the story, she must make the member of that fairy to fall in love with her for “the end” to happen. i love the author’s versions of these fairy tales. each time the fairy tale ends, ik the oc is like: “i won... but at what cost??”

Starting a new family as soon as Tenko leaves is crazy 💀. I bet the poor boy begged his mom to not send him out,but Toshi is just way too convincing,leaving home could be a benefit for Tenko! Can't imagine him arriving home to his dear mommy pregnant/with an adopted kid amd being like "Yeah,we didn't tell u over the phone because we wanted1 you to see them in person 🥰!" Toshi would be living the dream tho. The little rat leaving amd him getting a chance to finally have peace and only deal with Tenko when he comes back home for a good two weeks and then leaves. Would Tenko get easily home sick? Would he torment the adopted child/try to interrupt the pregnancy? I got the feeling that Toshi manages to convince us to get a pet dog to be part of the family (I see Toshi being the type to love Golden retrieves since he is one himself 💞)

After a few weeks of your chaotic wedding with Toshi, Tenko was off to college. Tenko fought HARD not to go, but Toshi is such a master manipulator that he won in the end and convinced you that it would be good for Tenko. Tenko being the good boy he is, admitted his loss and agreed just for you. Tenko had a plan that he would do his best to finish early so he could come home to you. While he was away at college, things got busy back at home and you got pregnant 😌. Since you and Tenko facetimed DAILY, the moment you told him the news his mind went blank. He immediately flew back, dropping all his classes. When you and Toshi returned home from shopping you both were surprised to see Tenko there, raging.

“YOU FUCKER!!! WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO MY MOM!!”

“Young Tenko!! We’re literally married!!”

“I DON’T GIVE A FUCK”

You had to hold Tenko back from punching and kicking Toshi. You spent WEEKS trying to calm Tenko down, and when he finally accepted that its gonna happen no matter what, he decided that he would be your caretaker (he’s very protective of you), even though you aren’t even showing yet.

“Don’t worry mom! I’ll take care of dinner”

“I’ll take care of the laundry mom! Just rest there okay?”

“Oh you’re going downstairs?? Here let me carry you :D”

It was kinda adorable but suffocating. You knew that Tenko just cared a lot for you, and who were you to turn him down? Tenko enrolled in a college near home. Here’s the thing, Tenko was very conflicted. He didn’t know what to think of the baby. He kinda hated it because of Toshi, but he also kinda liked it because of you. But the day you went in labor his mind was made up. He already hated it. Toshi rushed you to the hospital and held your hand as you gave birth, never once letting go or leaving your side. The pain was unbearable, and your screams left Tenko paralyzed. How dare this unborn thing hurt you? He knew it, this was all a bad idea. As you held your baby with Toshi by your side, you cried, tears of joy was an understatement of what you felt. During your stay at the hospital, Tenko would always be by your side but he never once held the baby, too annoyed by the fact that all your attention was now at your new baby, Deku. He was so scared that you’ll forget him, so much that he slept at your room for days. You noticed this of course, and did your best to reassure him “My baby boy, don’t worry, you’ll always be my good boy hm? I love you okay? And I’m sure your baby brother is excited to see you! Here try and carry him!” Tenko hesitantly carried the baby, he kinda looked like you, but also like Toshi which was annoying. He figured that maybe it wasn’t that bad. But then the baby started crying and you immediately took him gently from Tenko’s arms. You cooed as you comforted him and let him drink milk, and Tenko SWORE he saw the little gremlin smirk, immediately making Tenko annoyed. This was gonna be tough ride.

PERSUASIVE ESSAY ON CASEY JONES JR BIOLOGICAL FATHER ⬇️⬇️⬇️

🙏🏼BEGGING YALL TO SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS AND TELL ME IF IM CRAZY OR NAH🙏🏼

OMFG…reading some fics and there was one where Leo was Casey’s bio dad and another where Raph was his bio dad and I was like naaaaahh I love it, but realistically? (For humanoid turtle worlds, anyways) Nah.

But then they pointed out that Casey only received the human half of the respective turtle genes.

And I thought man, but we don’t have a reference because we don’t know what the rise turtles look like as humans…

And then it hit me

We don’t know what the TURTLES look like as humans….

BUT WE KNOW WHAT HAMATO YOSHI LOOKED LIKE

So I’m thinking to myself, okay, in theory, Casey might have some of Yoshi’s physical traits.

Let’s compare.

First up, we got hair color. Yeah, both have dark hair, but that’s meh evidence. But it is worth noting that they both have those little flares on the back of their necks…

But what’s this?!

They have the same facial structuring and shape…elongated, sharp chin. It could also be argued that their skin tones are pretty similar.

We can also note that their ears are drawn the same way too!

And you might say okay Spirit, but maybe that’s just how they draw ears-

Well Cass is literally his mom and her ears are drawn differently. You can also appreciate that her face is more rounded, and her chin is flat, unlike Lou’s.

So…maybe there is a chance?…

Look, these rise creators did a fantastic job at sneaking in details and Easter eggs, it would surprise me if they decided to do this in secret and just see if anyone caught on.

I originally theorised that some douchbag just knocked Cass up and ditched her 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I don’t know…it just doesn’t feel quite right. Some rando? No hints or clues, rhyme or reason as to why or how Casey Jr came to be???…

After thinking about it further and writing my own fic, I realized while writing Casey Jr that he doesn’t really show a lot of Cass personality traits…I mean, Cass is loud, wild, she’s unhinged and kinda chaotic. While I wouldn’t call Casey ‘shy’ by any means, I definitely wouldn’t consider him as wild as Cass…instead, I think of him as sweet, gentle and kind.

I’m just saying…I know a certain red turtle that gives off those vibes 👀

[Spoilers] Chainsaw Man chapter 146: Chainsaw Man War discussion

Holy hell, Ok yeah this makes perfect sense now. A War in multiple countries With Chainsaw Man? Making War and the Chainsaw Devil so ridiculously strong they can team up and defeat Death Herself? Crazy enough it might just work. Although I wonder if you'd be able to convince Yoru to not chase after her revenge.

I do find it abit strange how the Fire devils contracts work though. I get that its more powerful the more people contract with it, I guess a Fire is alot stronger when massive and all. Is it because of that really old trope of being able to see things if you look into a flame? Also isn't it kinda funny now that we know Fakesaw Man (That looks just like Agni) actually is contracted with the Fire Devil now lol Hes become Fire Punch again!

Barem is absolutely fucking psychotic btw jesus christ. I truly hope he is just Famis pawn and he isnt actually this unhinged

And yet again, Both Nayuta and Fami knows alot about Death but Yoru always seems oblivious to whats going on, Why? Nayuta got reincarnated and still posseses this kinda knowledge. Maybe Im just misremembering, I do have a vague memory of Yoru telling Asa like "didnt think it was important" or something along those lines when questioned about Fami.

Anywho this is such an incredible chapter and I Cannot WAIT for the Halloween one coming up I hope he is taking the break to cook up something extra special, I might edit this post or like write more later I just wanted to get something out there like ASAP because its one of the craziest chapters in a while

As a nodal, I want to agree and disagree about "draining" yang people. They do come to us first usually, they see that we don't show interest even when we like them (at least ketu ruled moons) and they simply stop giving a fuck. I think its possible that in some cases we drain them, but I also feel like they are expecting us to show a lot of interest and as someone else said, nodals are used to be gatekeepers (moon people too) of stuff, including feelings. We dont have light to give anyway. I find that we can drain solars as much as they can overwhelm nodals. I always hear nodals complaining about solar people overwhelming them with their energy. So at one point i feel like it's mutual, they may feel like nodals drain them but we feel like they are too much? Idk if that makes sense to other nodals reading this. I know a few solars who I really love and all but I try to stay away because I know if I get into a convo with them they will either start asking a bunch of questions or they will start talking about themselves to the point I will be exhausted. Especially uttara ashadhas, I find all of them to be too intense for me, although i had and still have great friendships with them. when Krittikas are angry for example, I just stand there and dont have any idea of what to do. FYI this post might contain some spoilers to the show but if u want a nonspoilerly version, just asked! it's pretty old so if yall haven't seen it i 10/10 recommend!!!

im painfully trying a rewatch of the show, i say painfully because my attention span watching a show vs a movie is KAPOOT! i can't stream 30 hours of a show but i can sit thru a 3 hr movie (if i haven't seen it before. Ill still have to get up and stretch sometime in the middle of it but ill be attentive nonetheless). LIKE... sitting thru a long movie holds more accountability to my mind i think. If i can't binge thru multiple episodes and end on a comfy, even number like episode 10, i can't bring myself to sit thru one without checking my phone 😭 BUT IT IS A GOOD SHOW! i just suck at watching shows in general, especially past the 1st season.. idek why.. it's like i get thru the 1st season in a happy binge breeze then BOOM! no more motivation... BUT WHAT I MEANT WITH THIS IS!!!!

This 1st post will mainly just kinda lightly touch on general knowledge from season 1 then expand in detail the more seasons i rewatch (with more ships too probably). This is mainly my fav ships i noticed now or back then

TO BE NOTED THO!! the wire isn't a really shippy show tbh, it's mainly about dynamics thru relationships contributing to story/effect on the story rather than romantic relationships. Every plot point has to have an eventual purpose for the story, every interaction, etc. It has like one will they won't they mainly for angst, and it's for Detective McNulty who has a general 'will he won't he' beat the Irish drinking gene or whatever lmao. If u wanna ship, u gotta really take the few nuggets the show might give u and REALLY turn them to gold. Cus they are gold in general, but it's up to you to make them really profit! IN CONCLUSION.. u gotta be. A little delusional. Hence our first 'ship' introduction..

this is a totally biased list so please excuse me. Stinkum n Bird are two of Avon's muscle in the game and they both get outta it pretty quick. Involuntarily, of course, because they're the typa freaks that love it. With these two, you need context clues n connections. Almost EVERY scene Stinkum is in, he's GOT TO bring up his boy Bird. Hell, it might just be every. This is mainly due to the writers knowing the actor of bird is a big shot cameo, so it'd be too expensive to have Bird in a lot of scenes, especially in a TV show budget. And they also knew Stinkum wasn't made to last long so why not just use him as a substitute introduction to Bird's character so we don't have to pay that much for personal appearance in prologue? Bird's supposed to be the 'unhinged' one in the crew, the Crazy Guy. Crude, rude, cruel, & ruthless. Don't have the budget to show it, cheaper to tell it instead. Stinkum's just the hype man to Bird, essentially. Also he has another thing going on that leads to his early demise, but besides that, that's pretty much it. Goes to show how the show wants every dime spent for a strategical reason. Good TV shows need Causation, not 'and then's, but 'therefore' 'so' ETC.

... doesn't mean we can't have fun with it ourselves though. See, The Wire brings you quality entertainment, & it's up to us what we make of that quality to be entertained. Up to our love of the show to keep coming back to it and exploring the prime time possibilities it presented/hinted/hid. Which is a lot since practically every part of it is practical. The beauty of Stinkum n Bird to me is Stinkum being some wide-eyed doe eyed obsessed little freak who woobifies n glorifies n babygirlifies Brutal As Fuck bird because? He's insane. I guess? They both are! This is evidenced in the show, on purpose for plot! But this purpose can be made even better if we make something accidental out of it. Take the gold and spread its profits through smaller amounts, cut the product for bigger prices! LISTEN LIKE.. they made stinkum's character constantly bringing up Bird's name for plot... but him always yammering on about Bird can mean other things...... dare i say... gay things 😈. WHY does he always talk about Bird? For cheap character intro to get us ready when Bird makes his short appearance eventually yea but WHAT ELSE? they're giving us an ELSE without rlly GIVING us an else! Stinkum, who's a bit of a dopey lil goon guy, might have been unknown to a certain shooting danger one night when BLAM! He turns around, not filled with lead, but with awe for the guy he just saw skin a man alive... save HIS skin by dealing with his unforeseen assailant. Stinkum sees a softer side to the craziest, cruelest guy in their group, and has his respect eternally earned. Does Bird ever return it?? We don't know.... Bird never mentions Stink. Which creates more fun for us cus we get bounce off that with whatever the hell we want. It always goes back to the source! IF YOU WANT.. i recommend looking up 'the wire stinkum' / 'the wire bird' and ull find their scenes that show more of their character. I can elaborate on a single ship in more detail if u want, just ask ! trust me, id be MORE than happy to lmao!

first let’s get the non bart stuff out of the way:

- as much of an ass lor is he’s most probably the most insanely talented villain out there, his dad is a fool for not listening to him it’s gonna bite him in the ass !

- the zods tho r such a great couple LOL like they’re all so entertaining to watch, Ursa is unhinged we love to see it !! when they were in the solar pods i found it so funny they were like those cheesy couples that enjoy sunbathing together i’m sorry

- Kaldur showing sympathy to the kryptonians was needed tbh

- Dicks heartbeat thing? total throwback to Artemis faking her own death

- Rocket being caved in by the boom tube? messed up

- Also idk why everyone’s assuming team bioship kicked the bucket none of them were bleeding and this season has been very clear with having no problem showing gore and ur telling me Darkseids son, Martians and a Speedster were done by some blast? nah i don’t buy it

okay so moving on to our fave Kid Flash content 😁

- im sorry but bart calling supes big guy 😭 that’s so precious i love it

-in fact i really appreciate Clark looking out for Bart, tbh he must’ve been paranoid that his keeping secrets from the League could’ve (well, they have lol) endangered Dick, Zee and Bart. Like imagine if he was indirectly responsible for something happening to the Flash’s grandson, who is Kid Flash, who took up the mantle from the Flash’s nephew who famously died on a mission, like that is something that would weigh him down terribly for the rest of his life and i really got that impression since last episode and especially in todays. ALSO i love seeing bart as KF essentially working along side Supes on this high-stakes mission, like if we put it into perspective everything going on is really crazy it’s just that we’ve been kinda desensitised to it cause of the weekly release pace lol anyway now Clark is just left to worry about Dick and Zee (conner and earth and the galaxy being the obvious worry aside)

- the funniest thing was how all this was going down and Dick and Bart are just so unserious LOL we have Nightwing on one end quoting gandalf whilst Bart is literally a ball of excitement about LITERALLY everything and anything, they’re such dorks lol

- in fact, whilst ideally i would’ve preferred a bunch of other dynamics between bart and other characters to be explored this season, it’s interesting to see how he fits in within the older generation heroes and how they work together

- in fact x2 (lol), this whole arc is pleasing my lizard brain that finds both Conners and Barts classic comic involvement with both Legion and Superboy turned evil plots as so essential and how they actually are still connected in Earth-16 despite them being from different “hero generations” (both being part of outsiders aside, there wasn’t much of a connection between them prior to this plot). When I saw that detective board where they were both being investigated by Dick well let’s just say I literally screamed out loud LOL

- moving on, like i said in another post, i can’t believe this guy. He’s basically running (heh) on fumes but acts like nothing happened and just continues with the job literally immediately, someone get him to bed to catch some sleep (no bart laying unconscious doesn’t count as rest)

okay now on to some things that i’m annoyed by:

- i feel like the legion characters have been done kinda dirty this season, it was great until pretty much last episode but the thing is what we have had of them so far which i really enjoyed isn’t that much and has been so spread out thinly through out the season that i feel like their plot opportunity wasn’t fully taken advantage of

-whilst this main plot is objectively attention grabbing, i do think the pace throughout the season was a bit off and there really is a bit too much of telling instead of showing in terms of story telling technique, which is a bit meh. I think way too much time was invested in stories that really could’ve been tied up in significantly less time and could’ve been invested in more relevant stories

all in all, enjoyed it but i am annoyed with some stuff but oh well it’s okay, at the end of the day it gives birth to loads of head canons that i wanna write fics about

ok ok ok i told myself i was gonna write this so im going to write it even htough its not going to make any sense and i am not actually doing anything and everything sucks. but we live in a shitsuck world so i am gonna write my dumb little thoughts down.

mo du spoilers ahead and discussions of triggering topics

anyway so. the thing abt the last book of mo du which is a v recognisable thing to happen and i Get It as an author like i truly do despite the longest thing ive ever written having been 50k of unhinged word vomit about feeling profoundly isolated from reality. i am the shit king of things that are too complicated and simple and that make no sense and plot is not my strong point as an author and i could not have done better. but i truly believed that priest could. anyway the thing that happened is that the last book was just not good lmao and it was not good for a few very particular reasons that were EASILY rectified by having a team of good alpha readers who are willing to slap you over the head and tell you to make a damn decision.

the thing is that before that mo du IS good and my idea for what should have happened in the last arc WAS SET UP BY THE NARRATIVE! i was not an idiot for thinking that that was what would happen! its just that she refused to go there for two critical reasons

she felt like she wouldnt have enough time to resolve this plot point

she didnt want to introduce a new major trauma before the end

she didnt trust her characters to get through it

she had set up a moral system in which once u commit murder u are irretrievable from The Abyss (as proven by that one dead cop's daughter idr her name but she killed a cop by accident)

that's more than 2 but i am a lit crit bitch not a numbers bitch. moving on.

she WOULD have had time to resolve this plot point if she had simplified her plot by a few threads. that cult shit was not necessary. the fact that the mysterious organization had someone within working to bring about its downfall was a great touch that didnt go far enough. there was a parallel between fan siyuan and fei du that was never fully explored and that was a waste of both their characters.

fei du needed to Go Through Something and he just did not. he needed to suffer a major moral injury in order for that arc to work - he needed to kill his father, or be mindbroken by being submerged in the abyss. the abyss needed to affect him. instead he is untouched which is awful. where are The Horrors of finding yourself at home among monsters! where is the Relief of not needing to mask, and wondering if this might just be better, if its not a little joyous to not care about morality and goodness. where is the Fear and the Self-Hate and the moral conflict between wanting to become your worst self and wanting to slip back into a comfortable orbit. where is the CRISIS OF FAITH!

but that's the thing, she didn't trust luo wenzhou to be able to handle fei du like that. she knows lwz can handle fd when he's being like "im gonna atticwife you shixiong" while clearly being a wet bedraggled catboy but she doesnt know if lwz could handle fd while hes laughing maniacally and trying to decide between killing his father, zhou chunliang, and fan siyuan. not that fd can handle a gun's recoil but that's not the relevant part. she didn't know if lwz could see fd at his worst and still love him but he CAN! he's a little crazy too let him find it kinda hot when fd struts around masterminding complicated criminal plots.

i truly think that showdown should have had lwz as a captive audience so fd experiences terrible feelings. OR fd should have actually HAD TO kill his father, no take-backs, no last minute outs. murder that vegetable. pull the fucking PLUG piglet. he should have to live with patricide even if he's never going to be charged with anything. lwz should have to live with loving a guy who was forced to have blood on his hands. let him have nightmares for the rest of his life about the closure he craved for so long.

but this goes back to priest's issue with MORALITY. the morality of the mo du universe is very clearly slanted into people being either GOOD or BAD and once you cross the line you can NEVER COME BACK. there is no complexity offered to the characters and there SHOULD HAVE BEEN! fan siyuan was a horrible person but what if he felt like he didnt have a choice? what if he was just like fei du and HIS lwz died? u cant tell me that fan siyuan wasnt in love w that one guy whose photo he was trying to see in his last moments. show me the beauty under the rot. what if fei du was pushed over the line? could he still be allowed to have some light? could lwz LET HIM? and i truly think lwz can, it's fd who cant let himself have that. but fd needed some confounding factors in his worldview.

call me a whump lover but i love when theres major trauma at the end of a book but it's still slanting to a happy ending. i like a hint of bitterness, a hint of "it will never be okay but at least we have each other." it's good.

anyway when mac and i were talking about this mac also suggested that fd walking into the abyss could have been very effective as a trust fall, a sign that he KNOWS that lwz will come for him and pull him out and not let him get lost in the evilsauce. and i agree w that being hot but i also have a personal preference for fd having a crisis of faith and lwz having a crisis of faith and both of them realizing in the end that they did choose each other and they still have each other

but priest chickened out of Challenging her Characters at the end and that just meant the whole thing rang soooo hollow. big grief. mz priest i will give u one dollar and my heart if u write an alt ending

get rid of that cult shit, get rid of the moral black and whiteness, let fei du sink into hell and kill his dad and be pulled out and dusted off and loved anyway. forgive some of the people who wandered into it without meaning to. let lang qiao and xiao haiyang kiss. The End

nearly 14k (13,924 to be exact) published and at least 6-7k more of wips! tragically my least prolific year since uhhhhhhhh a long time. 2017? but thats ok it was a hard year all that matters is that i survived<3 im proud of myself for what i did bc im in that kinda moment where im relearning how to write and reengaging the creative part of my brain. and next year will be better!! i have a lot of plans and a wip list as long as a cvs receipt<33

6. Favorite title you used

this one is actually your body drowning in gravity! i havent reread it in a long long while (aside: wow i was a totally different person when i wrote that (i published it jan 3)) bc my brain has temporarily been caught by other things. but it was an idea that i'd been turning over in my head for over a year at the time when i wrote it and i think i saw the richard siken poem that the title is from (it's "the dislocated room" btw) on my dash in the middle of the writing process and it was like. Perfect. like i choose all my titles very carefully but this one really knocks it out of the park. when the fic is literally about tanner thinking mallory is the one that's fallen from the top of the cns building at the end of spectre and not knowing until the body hits the ground.

OUGHHH this is hard. Ough. ok i DO think it's just so long as this thing's loaded. im chronically an "i wrote this for me but you can read it if you want" guy bc i have rarepair disease. if i want to read it i have to be the one to write it. but this fic was really an exercise in like. getting weird with it. remembering that u cannot judge ur creation by any possible bad faith interpretation of it. letting myself write the kind of wildly unhinged horny possessive devotion that eats the inside of my brain but ive never been able to put on the page bc of the Fear of like ohhh that would be sooo bad in real life. dude theyre. not real. idk im not good at that sort of thing the panopticon inside my mind is sometimes kind of crazy. but like yeah actually they do think the power dynamic is hot. yeah nick made jasper fake betraying him obviously here is this situation where jasper comes back to nick after his faked death and both of them are pretending not to know the betrayal wasn't real. its just roleplay 2 them. sorry to quote a line in this already extremely long answer but like "The only thing he wants to keep is right here at his side and hasn’t that been the point of all of this, the knife to his throat and the blood in his kiss and the slow simmer of barely leashed desire. Jasper has come to him like this, the traitor slinking his guilty way home, to show Nick the lengths to which he would go for him. To which he has always gone for him, giving up everything to play Nick’s triple agent, just what the Director ordered." is literally the thesis statement of the whole thing. Anyway

also its the kind of fic where every line is trying to be The Line which...is a quirk of my writing style that comes out every now and then that im usually (for good reason tbh) always trying to cut back on. but this...Needed It. sometimes the prose DOES need to be purple. and i had fun. it was really fun dude lol i had a great time

OKAY UUUH i need to put my thoughts about the final stroke p1 here right here right now fresh hot of the press i just finished watching this shit less than 30 seconds ago let’s gooooo

anyway just a precursor like. none of this is going to make sense bc ive only watched it once so i dont remember everything (barely remember anything from road to the world which i probably should’ve watched again before this bc they would like mention things and i’d just be there like ?????? wha??? but ANYWAY)

these are also going to be very disjointed and not following the order of scenes bc im hgdfjk my brain is going 1000000 mph

god like the first half of it is so fun and just like. really just diving back into the whole FEELING of the series. like everyone just being friends, having fun, talking about swimming, swimming together

i can’t tell you how happy i am that we got to see the entirety of haru, rin, AND ikuya’s races like. i’d gotten so used to like. just seeing haru’s or just seeing rin’s and then it just cutting to like the results of the other or w/e, so i love love love that we got some devoted time to all of them inn sydney

also going insane over the like. makoto seeing himself trying to reach haru and just not being able to at all no matter how hard he tries

and how haru in that vision is all sad and lonely like how haru is becoming based on the events of the end of the film

AND LIKE LIKE

LIKE HARU HAS PEOPLE who want to help him and be close to him and love and cherish him and want him to succeed

even after his filter went completely down and he said THAT to rin, rin walked off and was like “of course i still care” or w/e like... even HE can’t be all that mad at haru, at least not in any real long-term sense

i still feel like the video interview things at the beginning are gonna be what wakes haru up out of this stupor. i want that so bad. like why else would THOSE be the opening scene of the movie like come ON

i want haru to go back somewhere, like to the high school or SOMETHING, or maybe somebody forces him to watch them, and he sees how much people love and care about him by stumbling across those tapes

god the albert possession fucks me up tho. i thought it was gonna be mostly silly and like. kinda cringe. but man. it was fucked UP it HURTS. i think it mostly had to do w shimazaki’s performance, i always forget how much i love him as haru and he does a REALLY good job stretching haru’s character to really make him unhinged when he’s so normally quiet and borderline monotone. like haru isn’t a flat character by any means, but he’s not very expressive either, so to see shimazaki get to flex those muscles in this role is SUPER nice

the scene where haru almost fell down the stairs fucked me up too LMAO i was like oh shit he REALLY fucked himself up he is not himself at ALL

and to see that just keep happening

everyone in this show has abandonment issues god

i am going crazy oh my god okay

and just. to see him going even farther down that rabbit hole. feeling like everyone is going to leave him. like makoto left before he got to say whatever motivational quip he was going to say, and then rin drops it in his lap that both he AND ikuya are not goinng to be swimming free at the next tournament, and like........ man just realized how that reminds me of when makoto just dropped in his lap that he had decided to go to tokyo

even when makoto walked away to go back home it mirrored exactly that scene in s2 when haru leaves makoto standing there...... ugh my heart

ANYWAY

i am super fucked up and also pissed off at ryuji!!!! like. i dont think ive ever disliked him as much as other people do, like he’s just a grouchy old man and haru was listening to him, but also pushing back against him and keeping him somewhat in his lane

and it was really nice to see haru so adamantly be like “im not giving anything up” in this movie like. and how that sparked something in ryuji. but now at the end when haru was like “yeah im ready to give everything up” ........ i really hope ryuji also plays a part in getting haru to wake up? bc it’ll also be an interesting wake-up for ryuji himself?

he is such an asshole tho hsgdfjgk i do love how they put scenes back to back of haru x ryuji, rin x mikhail, and ikuya x natsuya, and even throw in there makoto x nao x sousuke! like, we got to see the swimmer/coach dynamic between all of them and got to see how NOT GOOD ryuji is in comparison to all of them lmao. like sure being analytical is good, but damn give the kid some room to breathe LMAO

and god. i do love albert. he’s such a weird scary motherfucker but god god god i’m so intrigued by this weird fucked up dynamic he has with his coach? or whoever he is? im not even really sure. but like. he’s living his dream through albert rather than letting albert be his own person. but then it’s interesting bc haru (and everyone else) sees albert as this big scary foreboding guy. which like, he is, but i think they all have a twisted view of him? like they see him as this powerhouse and NOTHING else

i think haru has seen albert interacting w other people in his entourage and like. seen some weird dynamics between them? but it’s all very behind-doors right now, so like. everyone sees him as a “villain” for lack of a better word, when albert really just wants to swim and like. be normal? like i don’t think his words of “i want to be stronger” are truly his

i really really really would love to see albert tie into haru’s awakening more. like, after haru gives up his relationships bc we all know at this point that that’s 100% for sure what he’s gonna do, i feel like. like maybe he will have a better performance, but it’s just so Not Him that he’s not even a worthy opponent? and then albert gets fucked up about it and is like “man what happened, this isn’t good at all, what did you do to yourself?”

like. right now haru is trying to be more like albert, but i think albert is trying to be more like haru

unless im like. totally misreading everything about his character, but im thinking of like. s3 and rttw, with him hanging out with haru, his “the water favors you” quote, him getting excited when he saw haru doing really well in his race while he was like. getting his drive from his friends and whatnot. like!!! i really feel like it could be a fun little switcharoo to do!!!

god. that’s my biggest thing rn, i love the dynamic between haru and albert and how there’s this friction within both of their characters as they try to become like one another

ugh god okay i need to stop bc. i have work tomorrow and need to go to bed ghsfdjk im sure i’ll have more thoughts and write more as i mull over the movie more, and maybe watch it again next weekend, but ugh. holy shit

i can’t wait for part 2

overall im super pleased with the movie. i was worried i really wouldn’t like it, but they did a very very good job and like. kept it really grounded to its roots and the original dynamics and bonds, while also having a TON of really good stuff with new dynamics (ie. rin and ikuya, makoto and sousuke, etc.)

okay im not in the spn fandom so i don't recognize any of the names etc. but WHAT IS GOING ON?! Y'ALL HAVE BEEN UNHINGED ALL DAY AND IT SOUNDS HILARIOUS EXPLAIN

lol i am not the best person to ask but here we go:

supernatural finally ended last year but one of the two main leads, jensen ackles, and his wife, danneel, got the rights (???) to spn and created a production company. yesterday it was announced that their first project will be a spn prequel about john and mary winchester narrated by their son dean (the character jensen played).

the fandom isn't very on board with this (to say the least) mainly because 1) john winchester was an abusive father and an all around hated character and shitty person and 2) mary and john's relationship wasn't real and they were basically forced to be together by the angels so that sam and dean could be born and save the world, so pretty toxic and fake relationship.

ALSO (and this is just my take as a reformed spn super fan) if you're going to make a spin-off about spn which was filled with sexism, homophobia, racism etc why in the world would you do it about the piece of human trash that is john winchester and his terrible relationship with mary???? not to mention in all 15 (!!!!!!) seasons, they already told all there was to tell about john and mary so what other crazy ass shit do they want to come up with for it to justify making a whole other show about them????? NOT TO MENTION wayward sisters which was a potential spn spin-off with an all female cast, queer and non-white leads that didn't get made despite being strongly supported by the fandom (one of the reasons, i got over spn in the first place) yes i am still bitter about this

but anyway, until then, it's fine. pretty normal fandom drama right??

that is until mister jared padalecki who's publicist i pity took to twitter to react to the news

a bit of backstory: jared was spn's other main character and him and jensen (commonly referred to as j2) are/were (?????) bffs. jared also has a history of throwing tantrums on social media and being a big baby who shouldn't have access to his twitter password

so jared responded to jensen's announcement by saying that that was the first he had ever heard of this spin off. so his bff jensen didn't tell him about his first big project which also happens to be a spin off from a show they were both in for 16 years? kinda weird. and apparently jensen also refused a role on jared's new cw cowboy show lmao

so jared makes a couple of other angry tweets saying he didn't know about this and even tweets at one of the co-producers (???) robbie* who also worked on spn calling him a coward. the tweet has since been deleted. for a guy that used to say that he'd like to disappear once spn ended jared sure does love to make everything about him

anyway that's the shit show. but to put even more gasoline into the fire, there is a spn episode called "the french mistake" in which sam (jared) and dean (jensen) get transported into a parallel universe in which they are not demon hunting brothers but two actors who hate each other and star in the tv show "supernatural". so, this whole situation and jared deciding to air his dirty laundry in the privacy of twitter, has led the fans to believe that something happened to former bffs j2 which would make the plot of the french mistake episode a reality. as they say, art imitates life or, in this case, life imitates art (if you can even call it that lol)

so now the spn fandom is in shambles while former die hard fans like myself are just sipping tea and enjoying watching the fire burn and innocent bystanders who never asked for any of this realise that they will never be free of spn

and that's what you missed on glee 🤗

*robbie was actually the best spn writer imo and the reason for pretty much all of the minimal female and lgbtq+ representation there was on spn so i'm curious to see what that'll mean for the spin-off
