(Just found this in my drafts)

What's holding me together is that some day, I will have a place of my own, with a sunny window in the kitchen, and a garden, and a cat.

One day I will have a partner or a friend or a roommate there with me, someone I love, to dance with in the kitchen while we wait for the pasta to boil, and laugh until we can't breathe, and speak freely about anything, or about nothing. We will call each other whatever we wish to be called, and do our best to see each other as we wish to be seen.

#I already have some of this now. I have a pet and a kitchen and sometimes I dance and play the music loud and laugh til I can't breath.#but while I love them #but I can't speak freely with my family. There's always a nagging #feeling of knowing how they treat my friends if they knew them. how they'll feel abt me if things pan out a certain way.#I'd like to play my songs that aren't christian music. I'd like to sing the lyrics and know its not a sin #I'd like to feel less hopeless and lonely #I'd like to feel like I'm fighting for something #...toward something #and this is it. this is the goal.#*gestures to a house & education debt free‚ good friends‚ & the time/energy to do things I love*#The American Dream Everyone! Such High Standards! /s #I know I have little reason to whine. I'll eventually inherit my parents house. they're covering part of my college. so I'm grateful.#But frankly I'd like to Not be waiting for my family's demise just to have a place of my own‚ thanks. Seems pretty fucked up & morbid.#anyways. life is good. I am fine. But it could be better. and it Will be better. I know it. Not socialist in a “I won’t have to work” type of way but socialist in a “I’ll still be working but I won’t be worried I won’t make the rent” type of way. In a “billions won’t be hoarded by one person” type of way. In a “janitors, fast-food workers, child care workers, preschool teachers, hotel clerks, personal care and home health aides, and grocery store cashiers, will live comfortably” type of way. In a “the sick and elderly will be cared for” type of way. In a “no child should work” type of way.

Operation Olive Branch is a continuously updating spreadsheet of Palestinian escape funds where progress towards their goals is being tracked. As of right now, there are over 100 funds listed there.

Any amount of money can make a difference. With their recent decision to bomb Rafah, the only remaining “safe” territory in Gaza, Israel has forced Palestinians into a corner by giving them nowhere else to go. The international community has given Israel the ability to act with impunity - it is long past the point in time to rely on those in power to hold Israel to any standard of compassion.

Today, I want you to look at this document, choose a fund, contribute to it, and share it. The people in Rafah are living on borrowed time. Free Palestine.

Apparently, my decision to be silly and make fanart of someone's writing (because I genuinely enjoy the story the person is writing and I was struck with inspiration upon reading a particular scene) has benevolent and wildly unforeseen consequences.

I apparently gained a bit of control of the canon because said writer really loved the art and decided what I drew/draw is canon.

2. Writer put said artwork into the document of his story right below the scene, so now it's IN the story where people who read the story will see it (with a link to me)

3. He sent the artwork to all his friends and people he knows because he was so excited

Wholesome interaction and I watched him do all that in real time, good stuff. However...there are two more consequences I was notified of today...nearly a full week after I gave the artwork.

Seeing the artwork caused his friends to become interested in reading and hearing about his story, which means more people are reading what he's writing and giving him critique on the story (which he actively asks for).

Apparently, upon seeing the art, his writer friends got a sudden second wind to pick back up writing they'd abandoned for a few months. Because, I quote, "seeing that someone enjoyed {his} writing enough to take the time to make art of it gave them the motivation that maybe THEY can write something that will inspire someone to also create something." I have accidentally caused a writing frenzy among his writer friends and my silly idea to make art for someone has had a butterfly effect for people who I don't even know.

Uhh...I'm pretty sure there's a moral here but I am tired and have a great deal of emotions about this.
