The Devonian trilobite Crotalocephalina gibba.
Made as a more or less successful exercise to emulate the style of Junnn11, the person who illustrated many of the wikipedia articles on Cambrian arthropods and Paleozoic euchelicerates (and whose art I happen to like very much).

man im just like. thinking about egg signs and how they've evolved over the course of the qsmp and how the qsmp has evolved over the course of the qsmp and just feeling so much love and affection for every part of the project. i dont have any grand overarching point with this just. like. here's a history of egg comms bc of the kind of person that i am
so wayyyy back ten months ago now at the start of the short and sweet egg event that was planned to last maybe a month at most, the eggs had their own custom, decorated signs!
Tumblr media
[ID: Leo with a pink sign with an egg on the bottom corner that reads "hello" in all caps. Her nametag reads Leonardo. End ID]
They were extremely simple, single word signs. There was hello, hola, story, feed, sleep, and maybe one or two more and each was its own separate sign. The eggs could only communicate the most basic needs in words and everything else was through minecraft body language or just hoping their parents guessed right.
But obviously, there was a lot more that parents wanted to hear from their children. I'm not sure who was actually first, but the earliest departure from this system I know about is BadBoyHalo giving Dapper a simple oak sign so he could name his pet slime. (Screenshot from @/lxrd-ren)
Tumblr media
[ID: Dapper wearing a diver's helmet standing next to a tiny slime in a boat with an oak sign reading "Bouncy (slmecicle but better)" End ID]
Parents quickly realized how much more convenient this was and pretty soon every single egg had stacks of signs to communicate with.
The next innovation came from Vegetta, who was the resident mod knower at the time. He knew about colored canvas signs and gave Leo signs in her favorite color purple because he loved her and gave her everything she wanted.
Tumblr media
[ID: Leo's bed in her room under some Fooligetta fanart with a purple sign reading "<3" End ID]
Colored signs obviously had a lot of advantages. Being able to tell at a glance which egg placed which sign was a huge step forward in eggs being able to have long, complicated conversations as well as leaving obvious marks of their personality everywhere they went. It took a little while for them to be standard for every egg though. Bobby never stopped using oak signs even after Richas and Pomme both showed up with colored signs.
Tumblr media
[ID: Two signs reading from right to left a red Pomme sign reading "we already started working on a guillotine factory" and a dark grey Dapper sign reading "thats the most french u have said so far pomme" End ID]
And this was the system for a while! And it worked pretty well for most people! The biggest struggle most people had was egg signs not being translated, but streamers adjusted to that by reading signs out loud so the translators would pick up on them. This also lead to adorable and fascinating dynamics like Richas swearing in signs he wrote for Bad and then warning Bad not to read them out. There was also the genuinely phenomenal development of Leolingo where Leo writes only in Spanish to Foolish because it's easier for her to write and he takes his time to puzzle his way through it and learn in a way that's super cool to watch someone else do onscreen.
Then Tubbo joined the server. And Tubbo himself had no problems at all with the system, but he is dyslexic and he casually mentioned offhand that it was getting kind of annoying to read signs after a ten hour long stream and the admin team Fucking Cooked.
Within 24 hours, they had TTS working on the signs. Within 48 hours, it was working on books too. I can't remember how long it took to get translation working, but it was definitely under a week.
And this opened up a whole new world of possibilities for the entire QSMP. The admin team has been on top of capitalizing on it for story purposes, but also just allowing the egg admins to speak in their native languages to everyone whenever they want has been so enriching for everyone involved. Leolingo is awesome but Foolish has been learning Spanish insanely fast and his process is a lot slower and more frustrating than most people can do in front of an audience of thousands of people without feeling discouraged. That's also one language. We've had everything from Foolish being able to check his work a bit more faster to Phil insisting on his eggs taking a day to speak to him in their native languages to Ramón writing a book for Fit in Cantonese, a language we haven't even seen on the server in any other context!
And all of it is fully understood and fully communicated! Sometimes the translators mess up but no one expects them to be perfect and people ask for clarification if the translator says something that doesn't sound right. It's not only a massive step forward in communication technology, but it's a great demonstration of how to use it and when you can and can't rely on it.
And finally, the most recent innovation! One of BBH's viewers sent him a dono saying they had trouble reading certain signs because they were too low-contrast. Bad, Richas, and Pomme just. Took it upon themselves to fix the problem right there and then. Based on One (1) bringing up their own personal struggle, those three came up with new signs that innovate tremendously on the originals.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: Two separate images of the before and after. The first is the egg signs in their original colors with the corresponding egg's name written on them to demonstrate the font color and the second is in the new, higher contrast colors with the same text. The new signs also have custom decorations for each egg. The second picture also has two signs from Pomme in all caps that read "Send all the love to Richas he spent a whole night making this he's the best <3" End ID]
There are three main innovations visible in the above pictures
1: Obviously, the colors are higher contrast. The signs with white text have darker colors and the signs with black text have lighter colors.
2: The colors themselves are lower saturation. Richas said this made it easier for him personally to read them so he corrected that way, but that's open to change if it causes difficulties for more people than it helps
3: The decorations are for accessibility reasons! People with various different forms of colorblindness will find different sets of colors easier or harder to distinguish, but any of them can look at the decorations and use them to identify whose sign is whose instead.
But! Those innovations are not why I made this post! It's these ones!
Tumblr media
[ID: The backs of the new signs when placed on the ground. Most visible are Chayanne's with vines and a hardcore heart, Sunny's with shining sunglasses, and Pomme's with an apple and the Eiffel Tower. End ID]
Richas added distinguishing marks to the backs of the signs too! This is something that Bad brought up specifically as something he wanted because it was hard for him to tell who was talking when he was using TTS from behind signs and couldn't see the colors at all.
We went from custom egg signs (a hotbar or so of words and nothing else to communicate with) through a long journey of expanding communication and expanding who we're bringing along on the communication and how easily they can join in and we've circled all the way back around to custom egg signs (they can say anything they want in any language they want and anyone will know it's them saying it from any angle)
and i guess i have enough feelings abotu that to write All This about it

Bradley strolled out of work with Nat hot on his heels. "She's picking you up?" she asked, clearly surprised by the turn of events over the past few days. When Bradley saw you leaning against the Bronco in the parking lot, Nat gasped. "You let her drive your Bronco?"
"Yeah, I trust her," he replied, taking off at a faster pace to get to you. The expression on your face had him a little worried, and you looked tired, but he was so happy to see you. Because he'd been anxious all day.
"Hi, Natasha," you called out, waving past Bradley as he scooped you up in a hug. "And hi, Daddy," you whispered, next to his ear as he held you.
"Hi, Baby," he sighed, kissing your glossy lips. "I missed you. Did you have a good day?"
You sucked in a deep breath, but then Nat was there, and the two of you were chatting. But your face was pinched and agitated instead of smooth and perfect, and you were playing with your hands nervously. Bradley let you talk to Nat for a few more minutes, and then he softly kissed the top of your head.
"Don't want to be late to pick Noah up," he told you, and then he gave Nat a hug and took the keys when you held them up for him. "You gonna tell me what's wrong?" he asked as he put the Bronco in gear.
"Why do you think something's wrong?" you asked casually, reaching for his hand.
"I can tell something's bothering you, Princess. But I'm assuming since you just grabbed my hand that you're not upset with me.
There was a brief pause before you said, "I saw Meredith when I went grocery shopping this morning."
Bradley nearly swerved off the road. "This morning? You saw her this morning, and you're just telling me about it now?" he glanced your way briefly. What happened? Did you get hurt?"
"I'm fine, Bradley." You squeezed his hand and pulled it to your lips, pressing a soft kiss to his thumb. "I'm perfectly fine."
"I swear, she's trying to ruin my life," he growled. "Won't leave me alone. Thinks it's okay to go after you. I'm afraid I'm going to fucking lose it in the courtroom when I see her tomorrow."
"Bradley, let's just go home and have a nice dinner, and then we can talk about it in a few hours after Noah is in bed, okay? You need to stay calm."
But that proved impossible. Bradley watched you with his son, just as patient as ever. You alternated between making dinner and coloring with him while Bradley silently panicked. He had no idea how he could give this up. Even looking at Noah right now was painful for him. And when Noah asked him to get all three of the paper crowns, Bradley actually started crying.
"Sure, bub. Come help me find yours." Noah took Bradley by the hand and led him down the hallway to his bedroom.
"It's in here, Daddy," he said, reaching for the yellow crown on his dresser and putting it on his own head before giving the bigger green one to Bradley. "Let's get the purple one for Princess."
Noah climbed up on Bradley's bed, but he still couldn't reach it. Bradley pulled it down and handed it to his son. "Why don't you give it to her, but only if she's not trying to cook dinner, okay?" It was hard to speak with the lump in his throat as Bradley carried his son back into the kitchen. He had his nose buried in Noah's soft hair, inhaling his scent and holding back tears. "I love you," he whispered as Noah handed you the purple crown.
"Oh, are we all matching tonight?" you asked with a soft laugh. But your smile didn't quite reach your eyes as you looked at Bradley.
"Yep!" Noah said as you slipped your crown onto your head.
And then dinner was mostly silent. And if you thought it was strange that Bradley held Noah on his lap the entire time, you didn't say anything. The night was going too quickly. Bradley had spent weeks trying not to think about this day, but now here it was, and it was worse than he could have ever imagined. He could barely stomach the food you made even though it was perfect.
"It's going to be okay," you whispered across the table.
"How do you know that?" he asked in response. "How do you know this isn't the last night I get to do this?" Bradley kissed Noah's cheek and took a deep breath to calm his nerves.
You stayed silent after that, only whispering something sweet to Noah before you said goodnight to him. Then you let Bradley have some privacy to give Noah a bath and get him dressed for bed. He read seven books to Noah, and he was already asleep by the end of the last one. But he stayed on his knees next to the bed, brushing Noah's curls softly back from his forehead and kissing him a million times.
"I love you," he said, tears filling his eyes as he wandered back out into the hallway. You were cleaning up the kitchen, but when he found himself in the doorway, you gathered him into your arms.
"It's hitting you hard, I can tell," you told him, and Bradley didn't care if you saw him crying.
"I just feel like... all of this shit is beyond my control. I can only do my best. But that's still not good enough to ensure I get to raise my son, which is completely fucked up."
You guided him to one of the chairs and then climbed onto his lap. Your voice was so soft, Bradley could barely hear you. "I just don't see how anyone could take him away from you."
"Do you have any idea how often judges side with mothers over fathers? It's so unsettling, I don't even want to think about it right now."
You tightened your grip on him. "Then let's think about something else."
"I still can't believe Meredith was at the grocery store this morning," he groaned, rubbing his face.
You were quiet for a few minutes, and then you looked at him with your pretty face scrunched in frustration. "She said the strangest things to me."
Bradley was on high alert now. "What? What did she say?"
"Well, she made a comment about how your car is worth a lot of money."
"It's a Bronco, Princess. Not a car." He realized this was the first time he'd really smiled in hours, and it felt good.
"Yes, I'm so sorry. She mentioned that your Bronco was worth a lot, and she said she was surprised you let me drive it."
He rolled his eyes. "Just because I never let her touch it doesn't mean you can't. She used to wreck up her little sports cars annually and then buy a new one. Doesn't appreciate the classics like you do." Bradley kissed your shoulder and listened to you sigh. "But I guess it's kind of odd that she said that to you. And honestly, I have no idea how much the Bronco is worth. Maybe like sixty thousand? I try to keep her running nice."
You scoffed at him, and then Bradley could practically see the wheels turning in your head. "I looked it up against your VIN number. In pristine condition, your Bronco is worth almost one hundred and fifty thousand dollars."
"It is?" he asked, completely shocked.
"It is," you confirmed. "You didn't know that?"
"No," he said, shaking his head.
"Meredith also mentioned some life insurance money?" you said a little reluctantly. "In an account for Noah?" He watched your eyes go wide as you quickly added, "I'm not trying to pry, and we don't need to talk about it-"
"From my mom," he replied, kissing you softly to let you know it was okay to talk about it. "I have my mom's huge life insurance payout. I never touched a cent, because it was too depressing. After Noah was born, I decided to save it for him. He can use it for college or for a house or.... I don't know, he can sail a fucking yacht around the world with it or something. But it's for him."
You gasped and said, "Bradley, I think Meredith just wants your money."
-------------------------
You watched him slowly shake his head as you scrambled off his lap and went to go get his computer from where you left it charging in the living room. When you brought it back to the kitchen, Bradley said, "Princess, she makes more money than I do. I just don't see how that could be the case. You should see where she lives in Oceanside. It looks like a mansion."
"No," she replied, opening up the tabs she had saved. "She doesn't live in Oceanside any longer."
"How do you know that?" he asked, wrapping his arms around you as you sat perched on his thigh.
You pulled up some property records you had found when you searched Meredith's name earlier. "She went into foreclosure last year and had to sell. She lives in an apartment in San Diego now."
You looked at Bradley over your shoulder, but he was completely silent now.
"What was the name of her company?" you asked, turning back to the computer.
"Coastal Business Development," he said quietly. And a shiver ran through your body. You had been correct in what you found. But now you kept opening tab after tab as he sat there with you. More new information was popping up left and right. She had tried to hide her name by using an LLC, but Bradley knew enough of the missing pieces to help you put it all together.
"She's bankrupt," you whispered, and he gently pushed your hand out of the way to open one last tab himself. You skimmed the court documents and said, "It sounds like she married her business partner, and he left her high and dry."
"Damn," Bradley gasped, going back through each tab about Meredith's real estate foreclosure, business bankruptcies, and personal interviews. You tried to push the computer away, but Bradley kept going back to the same tab, and now he wouldn't even let you minimize it.
"Don't read it," you whispered, pulling his hand away and turning to look at him.
His eyes were void of emotion now as he looked at you. "She was quoted saying she doesn't have any children."
"She doesn't," you insisted, taking his face in your hands. "Not really. But you do. Noah is your son, Bradley."
He let his forehead come to rest on your shoulder, but a minute later, his phone was ringing in his pocket.
"It's probably Nat," he said, shaking his head. "I can't talk to anyone else right now."
He handed you his phone, but you looked at the name and said, "I think you should answer. It's your lawyer."
"Tracy," he grunted, holding the phone up to his face and closing his eyes. You tried to slip off of his lap after a moment, but he held you in place. And then his tone sounded sharp and angry as he scrambled to put the call on speakerphone. "Can you please repeat that last part?"
You heard Tracy's voice clearly say, "You remember how I told you Meredith was in breach of contract with her lawyer? Well, she never paid the law firm. Not a cent. The firm dropped her at the last minute when her funds never materialized. I just found out today. Do you know if she has any sort of history of financial mishaps?"
"Yes!" you said before you could consider if Bradley wanted Tracy to know you were there with him.
Tracy was quiet for a beat. "Are you at home? I'll come to you."
--------------------------
When Tracy arrived after ten o'clock on Tuesday night, Bradley was practically having a nervous breakdown. The hearing was tomorrow. He and Noah were supposed to be at the courthouse in twelve hours. He felt like he was going to throw up.
But at least you were there, touching his hands and his shoulders and trying to make him feel better. You actually were helping him feel better. And then Tracy was in his kitchen with a huge bag, wearing gym clothes and eyeing you a little suspiciously.
Then she looked at Bradley and said, "Ignoring my legal advice, I see."
He sighed deeply. "Tracy, this is my babysitter turned girlfriend."
"Do not call her that tomorrow in the courtroom under any circumstances!" she said hastily. "Promise me, Bradley! I don't want us to end up looking like a pack of idiots when you point her out as your girlfriend."
"Wait..." you said, eyes wide. "You want me there tomorrow?"
"Yes," Tracy said, unloading folders onto the kitchen table along with her computer and a protein shake. "I already have a call in with the judge to have you added as a character witness. So be prepared to answer questions and give a statement if called upon."
"That's too much to ask," Bradley mumbled looking from Tracy to you. "I can't ask you to do that."
You looked at him like he was very slow and maybe a little naive. "You didn't ask me to. Tracy just told me I was. And I want to. If there's a chance I can do anything that might help, I'm doing it."
Bradley pinched the bridge of his nose and tried not to panic too much as you and he showed Tracy what'd you had found online. "Fucking hell," Tracy muttered, scribbling down notes. "I didn't know this was going to turn into a criminal hearing, but here we are." She scrolled through the property records and matched up tax identification numbers, taking everything a step beyond what you and Bradley had been able to do.
"A criminal hearing?" Bradley asked cautiously, but Tracy seemed to be in her own world now.
"Oh... she's slick," Tracy murmured. "Or she believes she is. You would think she'd have known her lawyer wouldn't fall for this. I wonder if she'll even have a lawyer tomorrow..."
Bradley reached for your hand on the table. "Can we just backtrack a moment? What kind of statement will she need to make?" he asked Tracy as he nodded at you. "And what will Meredith's lawyer be allowed to ask her?"
Tracy looked at his fingers intertwined with yours. "You'll just have to answer my questions honestly, without using the word girlfriend! And then Meredith's legal team is going to think it's open season on you as soon as they see your name was added to the docket. If we can even manage to have you added. So if you can't manage to answer their questions calmly and without crying as they try to shred you to pieces, then I suggest you learn how to overnight."
Bradley wanted to put an end to this entire thing, but you cut him off before he could start talking. "Do you honestly think I'll be helpful?"
"Absolutely. Could be the nail in Meredith's coffin, given all this new information."
"Then I'm in. Seriously Bradley, do not argue with us again," you told him, kissing his cheek while Tracy typed away.
"Okay, I need some coffee. And then let's go over everything from the top," Tracy said, clapping her hands.
----------------------------
It was well after midnight by the time you coaxed Bradley into bed. These last minute revelations were something Tracy insisted were good for Bradley's case, but he was looking extremely apprehensive now. He was raking his fingers through his hair nonstop and pacing around.
"You need to try to sleep," you whispered, pulling him down the hallway. "Let Tracy do what she needs to do, okay? She's going to be in charge tomorrow. She's good at this."
But he stopped short in front of Noah's door and let go of your hand. "You go get ready for bed. I'll be there in a minute." His voice was flat and his Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed before ducking inside the dark bedroom. You were worried, mostly about him. And about how Noah would do when being questioned by the judge tomorrow. You didn't have time to worry about yourself, so that was at least one good thing you thought of while you brushed your teeth.
You were dressed in one of Bradley's oversized shirts and waiting in bed for a while before he came in. You helped him change out of his clothes, and he climbed into bed next to you. He didn't say anything except, "I love you, Princess," after he pressed a soft kiss to your lips. But he let you pull him into your arms, and pretty soon you were dozing off to the feel of his soft breaths on your forehead and his heart beating beneath your palm.
When you woke to a pitch black room, you could tell he was no longer in bed with you. You found him sitting on the floor in Noah's room, watching his son sleep, and when you walked in, your bare feet silent on the floor, he looked up at you. Even in the dim glow from the nightlight, you could tell he had been crying again. But he didn't ask you to leave. He reached for you.
"You're a good dad," you told him with a soft sob as you climbed onto his lap and wrapped your arms around his neck. "Noah is lucky. And I don't believe they could take him away from you. Away from all this love."
He kissed your cheek, and then he smiled softly as you brushed Noah's curls from his forehead with one hand and Bradley's with the other. "I feel like I can't breathe right," he whispered, and you could feel his pulse racing as you pressed your lips to his neck. "I don't know what I'll do if they take him from me."
"Stop it. They won't."
He was silent again after that, and the two of you ended up sleeping right there on the floor. When you woke up as Noah climbed out of bed just after sunrise, your hip was a little sore, and Bradley was still sleeping.
"Morning, Noah," you whispered, standing and scooping him into your arms. You took him to the kitchen, kissing his chubby cheeks on the way.
"Do you live here now?" he asked, yawning as you turned on the coffee maker.
"No. I don't," you said, hoping he wouldn't say anything like that when he was questioned by the judge in a few hours. "I'm just your babysitter." He just blinked at you before asking for breakfast.
About twenty minutes later, when Bradley walked in rubbing his back, he made a beeline for Noah while you scrambled some eggs and made coffee. Even the mug that said My Other Car Is a Super Hornet didn't make you smile today. You burned your mouth on the coffee, and you nearly knocked the pan onto the floor. Because every time you looked at Bradley, you were on the verge of tears. Maybe you weren't capable of being as strong as you needed to be today. Now the idea of standing up in the courtroom was laughable. You were going to ruin everything.
Bradley was calling your name, and when you snapped out of your daze, he said, "You need to eat, too."
"I can't," you whispered, shaking your head. "I can't." You left them alone and went to take a quick shower, happy you'd packed a variety of clothing when you stopped home the other day. You were supposed to have a mock interview with one of your peers over a FaceTime call today, so you'd packed a blazer and some nice pants. You'd just have to skip the interview. Honestly, school and searching for a job had been the last things on your mind recently anyway.
You let Bradley get Noah ready to go, and when it was time to leave, you looked at him, so handsome in his navy blue suit. "Will you drive? Please?" he asked, holding out the Bronco key for you to take. You simply nodded, but a moment later, you felt tears in your eyes again. He was sitting in the backseat next to Noah. You backed carefully out of his driveway and headed to the center of the city and the courthouse and Meredith and everything else that you wished Bradley and Noah didn't have to see today.
--------------------------
The fact that Tracy was chugging a Red Bull and looked like she hadn't slept at all was only making Bradley feel worse as he carried Noah up the stairs in front of the courthouse.
She rushed toward them and pointed at you. "You're on the docket. Get ready. Meredith supposedly has a lawyer, and I'm sure they've seen the docket update by now."
"Okay," you replied. You were nodding, but you looked as nervous as Bradley felt.
Then Tracy was patting Noah on the head. "Remember me?  I'm Tracy. We're going to do something a little different today, okay Noah? It might seem a little silly at first, because you'll be the only kid here! But you'll be allowed to color when we get inside."
You gasped. "I didn't pack him any coloring books!"
"I have some," Tracy said, patting her briefcase. You immediately looked a little calmer, and Tracy added, "But that's the sign of a good babysitter if you usually pack them."
"She brings me coloring books when she babysits me," Noah told Tracy.
Bradley held Noah a little tighter. "Made sure I got you the best babysitter around, bub."
Just as Tracy cracked open another can of Red Bull that she procured from somewhere, she said, "Time to go in." Bradley didn't stand too close to you, and he didn't touch you. He followed you inside the front doors at a respectable distance, and you seemed to understand what needed to be done today.
When Bradley's eyes settled on Meredith, she was already looking at him. And she was standing next to a tall man in a suit. "Well, would you look at that? She does have a lawyer today," Tracy whispered, crushing the now empty can in her fist and throwing it away before walking over to introduce herself to him.
Bradley had to turn his gaze away from his ex, and he walked a little further away from you. The desire to touch you was strong, but he instinctively wanted to get Noah as far away from Meredith as he possibly could. Bradley's heart was pounding, and a wave of nausea passed through him.
"Daddy, can we go home?" Noah whispered, wrapping his arms around Bradley's neck. "I don't like it here."
Neither did Bradley. He held his son and thought about Carole, and how she never let anything scary happen to him when he was a kid. He thought about losing everything by the time he was a teenager and about the fact that Noah had given him a fresh start. A reason to be happy. And it was because of Noah that he met you. When he glanced over his shoulder, you were watching the two of them with a soft gaze.
"Pretty soon, bub," he replied, squeezing his son and pressing his lips to his forehead. "I'll take you home soon. I hope."
--------------------------
Next up is the showdown! Get in my asks with questions and concerns, but we may be nearing the end. Hope you enjoy your fic, @beyondthesefourwalls And thank you @mak-32 !

𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒 - 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐉𝐈
Damn my ass did not make it in time again. Am I still gonna post it? Sure why not.
This goes out to @sanjisblackasswife as a small present. I hope this is ok Timi 😭 🖤 Happy (belated) birthday
CW: established relationship, cunnilingus, vaginal penetration, lingerie, a few petnames, Sanji being a pervert per usual, just plain nastiness
Tumblr media
“How are you fairing, mon cher? Are you still with me?” Sanji’s muffled voice asks you as if he hadn’t snatched three orgasms from you in the past 2 hours.
As expected, you couldn’t form a proper sentence, your mind as hazy as your watery vision. He was three fingers deep into your pussy while his other hand kept a vice grip on your body. That didn’t stop it from squirming as much as it could, however. A string of moans blessed his ears like the sweetest melody. Smooth, creamy legs spasming around his dizzy head.
The blonde had surprised you with a heartful breakfast earlier, slaving over the stove at the ass crack of dawn to make sure your birthday started off on the right foot. When you expressed concern over how tired he’d be, he simply brushed it off, reassuring you that ‘it’s what my goddess deserves’.
Of course, a banquet was also held for your special day. It was filled with numerous activities, rounds of bubbly drinks, and little heartwarming speeches of how each Straw Hat (in their own quirky way) was grateful to have you in their lives. And you were just as grateful to have them in yours.
But what kickstarted the moment between you two was towards the end of the night, where Sanji had walked in on you changing. By accident? On purpose? Who fucking knows. If his flushed cheeks, slick grin, and nose running of blood was anything to go off of, he didn’t feel any remorse seeing you in your scantily clad lingerie.
A baby blue set, complete with white garters and a pair of blue satin panties. All in his favorite color. You went on a birthday shopping spree with Nami earlier and the set caught your eye. Thinking it’d be cute for you and your boyfriend, you immediately put it on after purchase. It was apparent now that it was a good choice to make.
After locking the door behind him, his long legs carried him to where you stood near the bed. He gently set his hands on your waist, and after giving him the go-ahead, it was downhill from there.
Hands groping and tracing over areas where his lips followed close behind, no part of your sun-kissed bronze skin was left unmarked. The stubble on his chin tickling your belly and inner thighs as he went along. It’s what led to now, with three of his fingers curling into you and his tongue tracing circles around your clit. The sheets became stained with the mixture of your juices and his saliva, but neither of you seemed to care. The bed shook from how aggressively he humped into the mattress, rolling his hips and dragging his hard on against the sheets. The friction made a delicious burn grow against the tip of his cock, and a groan bellowed from his chest.
“Lemme have another one, Y/N-swan...” He mumbled. He took your clit into his mouth and hummed, picking up the pace with his fingers. Your back arched off the bed, screaming into the darkness of the spare bedroom as you gushed into his mouth. He lapped up everything you gave him and only eased off of you once your fingers pushed his head away.
“You taste absolutely divine, darling, like the sweetest nectar I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. I can never get enough of eating you out.” He heartfully grins like the nasty pervert he is.
Finally he sits up and strips himself of his boxers, groaning as his cock sprang free and slapped against his abdomen. In your stupor, you drooled at the sight and weakly reached forward to dab at his tip. He shudders.
“Such a pretty dick, ‘Ji...” you sweetly murmured. You swear you’ve never seen a man move so fast.
You blinked and he was hovering over you. Your body quivered as you realized that he was already pushing inside you, eager to bring you back to cloud nine with him this time. As his pelvis kissed yours, so did your lips, your eyes rolling back into your head as you tasted yourself. The bedframe slammed into the wall as his lithe hips snapped into yours. Your eyes widened, balling the sheets into your fists as you held on for dear life. Sanji gazed down at you in astonishment.
From his perspective, the moon was absolutely gorgeous, but not as gorgeous as you. Sanji thought he might cry, still in disbelief that he got to have and pleasure someone as beautiful as you. Your watery brown eyes looking up at him with so much love, your locs sprawled out all over the pillows and yet framed your face perfectly. Your puffy lips in an ‘O’ shape, crying out from his purposeful thrusts. Your brown skin seemed to be glowing with how the moon shone on you. In his eyes, your beauty outshone all the stars in the sky, your angelic voice reaching the Heavens at this point.
It’s almost as if that was his goal with how fast he was going.
His slender hands lifted your lower body, wrapping your smooth legs around his waist to push himself in deeper. The blonde craned his head back and moaned, feeling your velvety walls clamp around his cock in a vice grip. His breath hitched, slamming his hips into you even harder and rolling his mushroom head into that one spot that made your toes curl. The bed creaked and croaked underneath the two of you, and it was absolutely certain that Nami would give you shit for how loud you’re being.
“Gimme another one, cherie, pretty please..” He weakly begged of you. His fingers rubbed over your clit rapidly and you groaned, the amount of pleasure overwhelming you. Your whole body shook as a silent moan escaped. Your walls squeezed again and the tension in your belly released. “S-Sanji-!”
“That’s it, princess. Let go for me” he encouraged you. He mewled as you reached your high for seemingly the fifth time tonight, your juices gushing all over his pelvis and all over your thighs. His curly brows scrunched together and tears began to swell in his eyes, groaning as he filled your walls with his warm, sticky load. You have never felt fuller than this moment.
His body curled over you, his hot labored breath in your ear. He turned to you, moving a loc out of his way to plant a soft kiss on your forehead. “Happy birthday, my sweet Y/N.”
“Thank you Sanji.” You smiled lovingly and he returned your expression. Once you calmed your breathing, you reached your hand up to caress his cheek. Sanji was eager to lean into your touch, swooning at how adorable you looked in your after-coitus glow. Suddenly his eyes widened in realization. “I almost forgot.”
He then reached over and took your panties in his grasp, stuffing them in the deep recesses of his pants pocket. You furrowed your brows at his actions, even though you knew good and well what the reason was.
“For safe keeping.” He grinned. He was gonna keep the pair as a reminder of tonight.
“You play too damn much!” You laughed, lightly smacking his shoulder. He laughed with you, stretching back on the bed and collecting you in his arms. Peppering your face in little kisses, he looked up at you with a playful glint in his eyes.
“Would you like to go again? You’re welcome to ride me if you want, you are the birthday girl after all.”

Tumblr media
Good morning and happy birthday, gorgeous. I hope you slept well and dreamt the sweetest dreams. Are we still up for the date later?
That was the text message that awaited you from your boyfriend of two months when you woke up—instantly kick starting your day for the better. You smiled the brightest and rolled over in bed and laid on your stomach while your legs twirled in the air as you read his message a second time.
Your crush and love for Bucky was so fresh, so new, yet so intense. Each and every interaction, no matter via mobile or in person, had you a giddy, shy and giggling mess. Your stomach soared with butterflies, and your mind clouded with the sweetest thoughts whenever it came to him.
You hadn't even realized that you’d been stuck daydreaming for some time until you got another text from him.
Is it ok if I pick you up at 2?
Good morning, Bucky! And thank you! Yes, that sounds perfect. I'll be all ready when you arrive.
Great! I'll see you then, doll.
See you then!
It was twelve—the morning already late as you'd spent most of the early hours snoozing in and cuddling with your cat Alpine.
You got up, made yourself some breakfast, and ate, before getting ready for the day—shower, clothes, and makeup.
After the refreshing shower, you went to pick your outfit. You weren't sure where he was taking you. Only knowing that it would be casual, so that's what you dressed for. The weather outside was fairly nice. The trees lightly shifting in the wind indicated that it was only a light breeze out, and there was no chance that the few clouds in the sky would produce any rain. So you opted for a pink and pretty sweater, your favorite color, with some light blue jeans, which you would pair with white sneakers. The hair and makeup you did as you would normally.
Time slipped from you, not even realizing that it was two already until there was a knock on your apartment door. Instantly the butterflies started growing and soaring in knowing who was behind it.
You took a deep breath in and out to calm your beating heart before opening the door.
You were greeted with a massive bouquet of flowers—all pink, but with different variants and shades. The face you were longing to see hidden behind all its grandness.
“Happy birthday, gorgeous.”
His face popped up from the side—handsome as ever, making your heart skip a beat. His smile, boyish and beautiful, the kind that made the corner of his eyes crinkle, knocked your breath out.
You were completely lost in him, not even realizing that you'd been standing and staring for a whole minute with your jaw slightly ajar.
“Can I come in?” He chuckled, trying to make contact with you.
You slapped yourself mentally to get out of your trance before moving aside for him, “y-yes, sorry, come in,” and closed the door.
He was so close to you now, making your knees tremble. His presence powerful, but not in a harsh way. It was gentle and caring, making you feel so ecstatic and protected. His aroma overwhelmed all your senses as you inhaled him. The fragrance that was quintessential Bucky imprinted itself in your brain.
You almost lost it when he delicately cupped your cheek, his thumb caressing your skin before he leaned in, softly kissing the other. His lips lingered there for a moment, making you feel their fullness and warmth. The sensation spread throughout your body—down your spine and through all of your nerves, making the surface of your skin tingle.
When he pulled away, you had managed to snap out from your state—still on cloud nine but present in the now. You tilted your head slightly and gave him an appreciative and sweet smile. His piercing blue eyes gazed into yours, and you could get lost in them for eternity due to how captivating they were.
You don't know how long you and he stood like this—studying and appreciating each other, but Bucky was the first one to break the pleasant silence.
“You look so pretty,” he murmured as he moved his fingers to hold your jaw lightly.
You felt a rush of heat flush to your face, your ears becoming extremely hot at his compliment. “Thank you, Bucky,” you replied shyly.
He looked down at himself before his eyes did a quick swipe of you a second time, bottom to top. “Hey, we're matching today,” he smiled.
You hadn't even realized what he was wearing. To focused on his beautiful face to notice his soft pink hoodie—the color identical to yours.
“Oh, I-I guess we are.” You looked down at yourself and then back to him. “Um, I hope that doesn't bother you?”
“Of course, it doesn't, gorgeous,” he chuckled as he pinched your chin,” the color looks so lovely on you.”
You glanced down at your feet for the first time, avoiding his passionate gaze, feeling shy and giddy at his many endearing compliments.
Bucky chuckled one last time at the intense effect he had on you, finding you completely adorable and precious at the way you reacted to his presence and touches.
“These flowers are for you.”
You had almost forgotten about the huge bouquet he held in his other hand as you'd been so focused on Bucky only.
“Thank you.” You took them from him and inhaled the sweet aroma of the flowers. They smelled lovely, but they could never compare to how he smelled. The colors on them ranged from the softest to the harshest of pink. They were stunning and would fit perfectly in your apartment.
“I'll put them in a vase. You can come on in.”
He nodded and followed you into the kitchen. As you rummaged through your cupboards for a vase, Bucky leaned against the bar counter, arms crossed. You could feel his stare bore into your back, making you nervous and almost drop the vase, resulting in a low chuckle from him.
Luckily, Alpine walked into the room to see who had been so rude to enter her queendom, meowing loudly, and Bucky's attention shifted from you to her.
This wasn't the first time Bucky had met Alpine, but since he was so new in your life, Alpine hadn't quite adjusted to the stranger yet, still very shy and careful around him.
“Hello there,” Bucky cooed as he situated himself on his haunches, making himself small and less intimidating to the timid cat, extending his hand out for her to inspect.
Alpine stopped when she noticed him and eyed him carefully. She looked up at you, meowing again, looking for reassurance and encouragement from you that it was safe.
“It's ok, baby. You know, Bucky. Bucky's kind,” you cooed.
She looked back at him and meowed once more before slowly walking over. She carefully sniffed his hand, taking her time before getting closer to him, and then, finally, rubbed herself against his knees—affirming that he was now part of the family.
“Awe, pretty girl,” he cheered as he pet her soft white fur. Alpine sat between his legs so she could thoroughly enjoy the gentle caresses and pats, purring loudly. “Yeah, we're friends now.” Bucky seemed so happy to finally be accepted, as were you—two of the most important souls in your life getting along.
“I wish I could stay and pet you all day long, Alpine, but I'm taking your mommy out on a date. Is that ok?”
She meowed—a sound of acceptance.
He smiled bright as he gave her one last ruffled pet. “I'll see you soon, pretty girl.”
Bucky stood up and came to your side, extending his hand out to you. “Shall we?”
You looked down at his hand and slid yours into it, interlocking your fingers. Both of you smiled at the contact and the electric current surging between one another. You and he fit to perfection—a perfect pair of lock and key.
“Yes, I'm ready.”

Part One, Part Two
Part Three: Skip-Bo and Chess
My mind raced as I went over the contract. Everything seemed too simple, too easy. The only terms and conditions I had to abide by were that I wouldn’t reveal his identity and that I would need to essentially be on call from the hours of 21:00 to 7:00, but roughly 24/7. The pay was a ridiculous amount. The insurance was crazy good. I didn’t realize it was possible to get that much coverage. But this went against everything I have represented in my life. Would I be betraying the people of Gotham, my patients, and my fellow coworkers, by taking this job? Would I be betraying myself and my past history?
Gotham City: 16 Years Ago
My father and I stood over my mother’s grave. It was strange. My mom was a woman who breathed life into everything. She never wore a dull color, she danced whenever she could, and she sang horribly and off tune. She wore her hair in two long braids with colorful ribbons. She wore sweet perfume. She wore red lipstick. She wore so many necklaces and bracelets she jingled when she walked. She snorted when she laughed. And now when I looked at her all I saw was dirt and a gravestone. Her colorfulness, her loudness, her laughter, her joy, all of it was gone. I knew I couldn’t cry though. Not in front of Dad. He got so much meaner when I did. Sometimes I wonder what my beautiful, colorful, caring mother saw in this cruel bleak man. But I guess his bitterness was supposed to balance out her sweetness.
But without her, it felt like I was choking on the disgusting taste of my reality. We were grieving. We had no money. And the debt just seemed to be getting deeper and deeper. I tried selling homemade cookies at school to help out. I raised about 22 dollars. I came home with a smile on my face and handed my father the money. He pocketed it without another word. It was almost worse when he was like this.
It felt like he was a teapot that was brewing and I was just waiting for the wrong thing to set him off.
Some days when I came home from school he was home. He didn’t say anything. He didn’t look at me. Other days he wasn’t there. I had to scavenge the house for food or walk to the convenience store with what little money I had scurried away.
It felt like my life had become black and white without my mom. Everything seemed so hopelessly bad. Then one day my dad came home with a smile on his face. My first instinct was to tense my body and avert my gaze. I didn’t know what he was going to do.
“Sweetie, come with me. I have an idea,” my father said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me out the door with him.
He drove like a maniac and pulled up towards a seemingly abandoned building. My blood ran cold with anticipation.
My father practically ripped me out of the car and dragged me inside. Inside there were about twenty men all pretty beat up. All of them looked at me. I picked at my hangnails and looked at my father.
“Y/n, these gentlemen need to be healed. Be a doll and heal them.” My father’s words were clipped, and my pulse raced. I merely nodded and healed man after man. It became clear to me, even at my young age, that these men were a part of a gang. Who’s? I had no idea.
That was until a fat man in a tuxedo and a cane walked up to my father. He handed him a bundle of cash, they whispered some hurried words and the grotesque man leaned down towards me.
His short fat finger booped my nose, and the man tilted his head back and laughed at my reaction. I wanted to bite his finger off. I wanted to go home. I wanted my mom.
For the next two years, my father did business with anyone that could pay him. Our life went from living by the penny to living in luxury. All due to my power. The richest of the rich, politicians, businessmen, criminals, and villains, all used my services. And eventually, they tried to buy me.
That’s when I decided to run away. Or die trying.
Gotham City: Present Day
I sat across from Sam, my best friend, and nurse colleague. “What do you think I should do?” She was the only one that I trusted enough to tell everything to. Of course, I left out the whole, ‘My boss would be Batman thing.’
“Girl, if you don’t take this job I will kill you,” Sam said, taking a large bite of her pasta.
“Do you think I’m betraying my younger self? I promised I would never be bought. I would never work for a corrupt man.”
“Maybe you should discuss with Mr. Wayne, that you would like to remain a nurse part-time. That way you ease your conscious about everything but still live in a fucking MANSION and make BANK, you dummy head. And this way you’re reclaiming your past. You get to choose. You’re not trapped.”
I mindlessly pushed my food around my plate, lost in thought. “That’s not a terrible idea.”
“Of course not, I never have bad ideas. Take one more night to think about it. But I think you have your answer.”
That night I tossed and turned in my bed. I grabbed my phone, the bright screen making me blink.
[I accept your terms, but I do have a few remediations to the contract. Signed, y/f/n y/l/n.]
One week later.
“How are you taking to your new living situation, Miss y/l/n?” Alfred asked as he expertly julienned an onion. I not as gracefully diced several cloves of garlic across from him.
I looked up at him, smiling, “I’m still getting used to it, to be honest.” It had become a silent routine over the past week. When I wasn’t working at the hospital, or patching up Batman, I got bored. So, I started helping Alfred with cooking.
He taught me how to play chess. I taught him how to play Skip-Bo and dominos. I had grown quite fond of the man over the short period. It most definitely was my daddy issues clinging to the first nice man I saw. But Alfred Pennyworth seemed truly kind to me.
I hadn’t met any other members of Bruce’s family, but supposedly they were all meeting for dinner tonight. For some reason, my pulse spiked at the thought of meeting them. My past gave me anxiety when meeting new people I didn’t know.
As if reading my thoughts Alfred asked, “How are you feeling about meeting everyone tonight?”
I cut a piece of garlic a bit harshly, “I’m– I’m fine. Do you know if I am to meet them after the dinner or before?”
Alfred’s eyebrows quirked, “What do you mean? You most probably will meet them at dinner. You are attending are you not?”
“I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to eat with the family or not,” I stated, hesitantly.
I heard a twang of metal as Alfred set down his knife. He gave me his full attention as he said, “Master Wayne may seem abrasive, Miss. But I assure you, he would never have to eat separately unless that is what you wished.”
Abrasive was one way to put it. He often reminded me of a feral cat when I tried to heal him. He would practically hiss that he was fine. I had to politely remind my employer a few times that this was what I was here for and to let me heal him.
We cooked in silence for a while, when out of the blue I asked Alfred, “Alfred, are you happy?”
Alfred always holding his poise answered calmly, “Happiness is something that fluctuates in my life, Miss. I will say that knowing that Master Wayne and the rest of the family are in your capable hands is reassuring me as of late. I also have been enjoying your company, no matter how many times you beat me in Skip-Bo.”
I laughed, a true genuine laugh. “Hey, you win every time we play chess!”
Alfred smiled softly, “Miss I have been playing chess since I was five years old. If I lost I think I would have to revoke my Englishmanship.”
After my laughter died down, another question popped in my head, “What are they like? Mr. Wayne’s family?”
Alfred smiled, “Those children are loud, argumentative, loyal, funny, stubborn, etc. I love those children with everything I am. You will too, Miss y/l/n.”
An unfamiliar sense of warmth bloomed in my chest, “Thank you, Alfred.”
“Thank you, Miss y/l/n.”
As I was getting dressed. I could not pick out what I wanted to wear. Did I want to go casual with a tee shirt and jeans? A bit more formal with a dress? Semi-casual with a skirt and sweater? I decided on the last one, with some tights on underneath. I wanted to make a good impression. It felt like the first day of school. I made my way down the stairs. No one had arrived yet. I took a seat next to Alfred, my leg bouncing.
Alfred patted my shoulder when we heard the door open, “It will be just fine.”
The loud oncoming footsteps mimicked my thundering pulse.

The Widow's Horny Family cont
CHAPTER SIX
Peggy kept seeing, in her mind, Grace.
What she had seen when the robe parted the day before was so unlike the woman, she felt. Although Grace dressed well, her clothing was not designed to draw attention to her body.
What Peggy had seen was a body that should be showed off.
The woman certainly had lovely tits, a bit larger than most, but not grossly so. Her waist was still small and her hips rounded. Seeing her in the back yard, wearing that skimpiest of all bikinis, then seeing the robe fall apart, Peggy suspected there was more than met the eye with Grace.
She recalled the color of Grace’s nipples. The color was stark and vivid, and surely rouge or something had been applied to them. Peggy had seen enough naked tits in her life to know when a woman used makeup on them. And she knew that a woman lacking an erotic mind would never do such a thing.
That meant only one thing—Grace was erotic, yet concealed it. That didn’t make sense, not to Peggy. Peggy had not heard of people that went out of their way to hide the erotic nature they felt. At least she had never met anyone that way, not in the circle she and her late husband had associated with.
Perhaps, she thought, Grace had no choice but to conceal her desires... perhaps her husband, Paul, insisted on it. Perhaps he was the one that held a tight rein on his wife, being a man with a low sexual desire.
If that was true, then Grace must be in misery, she thought.
Peggy was finishing up the washing, standing next to the washing machine. Suddenly she stood up straight, staring at the wall. Was that it? she thought. Had Grace, in her way, made a pass at her? She certainly look her time pulling her robe close over her body, and then Peggy realized those dark eyes had been glowing at that moment.
She left the garage and went to the bedroom, thinking it over. There was no other answer. And the way Grace had gazed at her tits in the tight, sleeveless sweater. Of course, Grace was starved for sex, sex with a woman at that, Peggy thought. Was it possible Grace preferred women to men, a cunt to a cock? There were women who did, Peggy knew, even though married.
Well, Grace had made the overture, she thought as she climbed into the tub. With scented bubbles swirling about her body, Peggy grinned to herself. If she wants some of my hairy cunt, I’m going to give it to her.
After her bath, she dressed in a becoming white skirt and pastel pink blouse. Underneath she was naked. No sense in putting obstacles in the way. She giggled like a school girl anticipating a quick feel at the drive-in movie.
Without calling first, Peggy walked across the lawn of the two houses, knocking at the door.
“What a pleasant surprise,” Grace said when she saw Peggy standing there. “I was thinking about calling you, Peggy.”
Seated again on the couch, with unwanted coffee on the table before her, Peggy lifted her left knee to the cushions, but keeping her skirt down. Grace sat at the other end as they chatted. They spoke of Susy and Donny, of their growing attachment to one another, each agreeing not to interfere, each praising the other’s child.
After about half an hour, with Peggy watching closely for any sign of desire on Grace’s lovely face, she began to feel her judgement had been wrong. Then Grace picked up her coffee and spilled it. With a womanish squeal, she quickly leaned the cup over the couch as if to keep it from falling into her lap. But the motion parted Grace’s thighs, parted them wide. Peggy shot a quick glance between them, and, sure enough, all she saw was dark curly cunt hair—no panties at all.
She was not surprised when Grace left her thighs parted after sitting the cup on the table. Grace was pretending she was not exposed to Peggy. But Peggy made a point of letting Grace know where she was looking. Still talking away, avoiding sex talk, Grace suddenly leaned against the arm, of the couch, drawing one knee up. Peggy allowed a small smile to cross her face as she saw the satiny thigh of the woman, the pretended lack of knowledge about her pussy being revealed. Peggy knew that Grace was feeling her out, waiting to see what effect this would have on Peggy.
There was no garter belt, or nylons today, but Peggy felt that was because of her unexpected visit. Deliberately looking at Grace’s long thighs and dark pussy hair, she lifted her own leg. There was an immediate response from Grace.
The dark eyes of the woman seemed to flare with a bright gleam of hunger, and what she had been saying was caught in her throat. Peggy saw Grace’s tits rising and falling swiftly as Grace gazed with smoldering eyes at the flesh under her white-skirt.
Grace stopped speaking in mid-sentence and just stared under Peggy’s skirt.
“Lick me,” Peggy said, her voice very low and husky.
Grace made no reply.
She repeated it again. “Lick me, Grace.”
Grace lifted her eyes to Peggy’s, her tongue moving over her bottom lip. “I beg your pardon?” Grace said in a breathless voice.
“I want you to lick me,” Peggy said once more, pulling her skirt high and spreading her legs wide. “I want your tongue on me, Grace.”
Grace lowered her hot gaze again, staring with smoldering heat at the thick curls of Peggy’s cunt, seeing her pink wet pussy lips and the tip of her clit.
Both waited, bath breathing heavily, both exposed to the other.
Then, with a sob of desire, Grace scooted swiftly toward Peggy, her arms going around her tightly. Peggy felt the woman’s moist ups crush upon hers, and when Grace snaked her wet tongue past her lips, Peggy began to suck eagerly as she brought her hands up to close her fingers about Grace’s spongy tits. She heard the woman moan against her mouth, then Grace had her hands on Peggy’s tits. They broke apart and, with squeals of delight, began to undress each other with fumbling, eager fingers. When Peggy’s tits were exposed, Grace looked at them, then gurgled happily as she lowered her face and began sucking vigorously upon a rigid nipple. Peggy held the woman’s head tight against her tits, feeling that hungry tongue fluttering and darting, sending moist heat throughout her trembling body.
As Grace sucked on Peggy’s tit, her hand moved down and caressed a satiny thigh, working its way between the sensitive, smooth inner surfaces. Peggy parted her legs and then Grace had her hand cupping her pulsating cunt.
Grace whimpered hungrily as her lips pulled at Peggy’s firm nipple, her palm rubbing back and forth on Peggy’s swollen cunt lips. Peggy writhed on her ass, pressing her steaming cunt into Grace’s palm, urging the woman.
“What about the kids?” Peggy whispered.
“Fuck the Goddamn fucking kids!” Grace said, her voice hoarse with desperate desire. “Fuck them!”
Peggy was delighted, hearing this come from a woman she had seen as aloof and somewhat chilly. Her impression of Grace being an erotic woman was certainly correct.
“Okay, fuck them,” she said. “Stick your finger in my cunt, Grace! Fingerfuck my pussy!”
“Oh, yes!” Grace yelped, flicking a finger deep into Peggy’s slippery cunt.
Peggy leaned back, one leg thrown over the rear of the couch with the other hanging over the cushions. She placed her head on the arm, looking down at Grace’s hand, the finger fucking in and out of her cunt swiftly.
Grace, her eyes moist and filmed over with passion, stared at the curls surrounding her finger.
“Eat me, Grace!” Peggy sobbed, lifting her ass and twisting around with desire. “Oh, Grace... eat my cunt! I love a tongue up my pussy! Suck me, Grace!”
“Oh, yes!”
Peggy, through the haze of her bubbling desire, watched Grace dip down, sliding her body along the cushions of the couch as she swiftly buried her face into her cunt. The movement caused Grace’s dress to ride past her hips, bunch at her waist. Peggy looked at the creamy swells of that beautiful ass, arching her cunt to meet Grace’s mouth.
Then she closed her eyes as passion gripped her.
Grace began to suck and lick and kiss at her cunt with an animal-like hunger. Peggy found Grace very skilled at eating cunt.
She closed her thighs about Grace’s head as the woman sucked her puffy cunt lips between her hot lips, her tongue lapping greedily, fluttering over her clit. Then Grace delved her tongue up into Peggy’s cunt, fucking it back and forth, fucking wildly. Her hands clutched at Peggy’s tight flexing ass, her fingers digging into the hot flesh.
Peggy held Grace’s head in her hands as she arched her hairy, wet pussy up, grinding into the woman’s face. The muffled squeals coming from Grace was all that was required for Peggy to know she had hold of a woman with intense erotic drives and hungers.
Her cunt closed tightly about Grace’s fucking tongue as she churned her crotch up and down, smashing her pussy into the face of the licking, sucking woman. Opening her eyes again, she looked down at the swell of Grace’s lovely ass cheeks, watching them twist as she banged her own cunt against the cushions of the couch. The sounds Grace made were those of a woman desperate to suck this hairy cunt.
It had been some time since she had been tongue fucked by a woman, and Peggy’s emotions were racing with delight. The ecstasy bubbled within her like foaming waves bursting upon some sandy beach. She held Grace’s head tightly, twisting her cunt harshly into that devouring mouth. When Grace sucked her clit between those hot lips, sucking hard as her tongue lapped the tip, Peggy sobbed as a tremendous orgasm ripped through her body. She slammed her cunt hard into Grace’s face, twisting.
Grace’s nose was buried in the thick curls of Peggy’s cunt, her fingers digging into Peggy’s light ass cheeks. She was breathing with excitement as she sucked on Peggy’s rigid, fiery clit. Her lips clung tightly to Peggy’s cunt as she came, moaning with the ecstasy she herself felt.
Grace did not release Peggy until she lowered her naked ass to the couch, and then she looked up with gleaming, bright eyes. Her face was smeared with the juices from Peggy’s pussy. Her dark eyes seemed to be pleading, and Peggy understood the driving torment the woman felt. Her naked ass continued to writhe.
“I want... I need...” Grace mumbled, feeling about Peggy’s cunt gently. “Oh, Peggy, please!”
Peggy caressed her fingers through Grace’s hair, smiling at the woman. “I understand, Grace,” she said softly. “I’ll help you, of course.”
The torment, seemed to leave Grace’s face, and she sat up smiling happily.
“But what about Susy and Donny?” Peggy asked again. “We could easily get caught, you know.”
“Fuck Susy and Donny!” Grace said, again causing Peggy to be amused. “They can find their own fun!”
But, apparently changing her mind, Grace stood up. Peggy looked at the tall slender woman. It was a shame for Grace to hide that enticing body the way she did. Those goodies were just too sweet to conceal.
Grace held her hand out to Peggy. “We’ll go to Susy’s room. They won’t find us there.”
“Susy’s room? Why not your bedroom, Grace?”
“Because... you might not understand.”
“It’s your house,” Peggy said, standing up and taking the woman’s hand.
They walked quickly to Susy’s room. It was the typical teenage girl’s room, with a poster bed, canopy and all. The room was painted pink, and all the furniture was white. Lace and ruffles were everywhere. The room was neat and looked very clean.
Grace sat, on her daughter’s bed, spreading her legs wide. Leaning back on one hand, she caressed her dark-haired cunt with long fingers, smiling with anticipation at Peggy. Peggy dropped to her knees in front of Grace, sliding her hands along those satiny, slender thighs. She gazed into Grace’s crotch, seeing one of the prettiest cunts ever. The hair, dark and very thick formed a perfect triangle. The long strands framed puffy pink cunt lips, and the tip of Grace’s clit peeked invitingly from the moist folds.
Peggy pressed her mouth to Grace’s cunt, kissing moistly. When Grace lay back, Peggy shoved her long legs up and back until Grace held them tight against her arching tits. Peggy, on her knees, gazed with pleasure at the woman’s hairy cunt and puckered asshole. It had been some time since she had had her lips against a cunt, and she was eager for it now. Stroking her hands about the backs of Grace’s thighs and curves of her ass, she teased them both. She probed lightly at the lips of the woman’s pussy, tickled her sensitive clit, making Grace whimper with eagerness, her ass shaking.
“Ohhhh, Peggy! Eat my cunt, please! Lick my hot pussy and tonguefuck it and make me come! Oh, hurry and suck my cunt!”
Peggy moved her face close, her tongue licking about the woman’s puffy pussy lips. She traced Grace’s cunt with her tongue tip, holding the parted cheeks of her ass with both hands. Dipping down, she scraped her tongue around Grace’s asshole, felt her asshole tighten and heard a sob of ecstasy bubble from the woman’s mouth.
Peggy started licking her tongue up and down, going from the pucker of her asshole to the tip of her clit. Up and down her tongue went, her hot breath causing Grace to tremble and yelp with delight. When she slipped her tongue inside the slippery, steaming cunt, her upper lips smashed at Grace’s distended clit. Flicking her tongue in and out swiftly, she writhed her lip. Grace began to twist and churn her cunt furiously, making it difficult for Peggy to keep her mouth pressing upon her pussy. Sometimes her lips and tongue were on Grace’s asshole, sometimes simply in the thick cunt hair, but most of the time she managed to keep her tongue fucking into the heat of that boiling cunt.
She knew when Grace started coming before her wild screams began to fill the room. She knew it because Grace’s cunt closed about her tongue like a wet, slippery vise. She fucked her tongue in and out swiftly as Grace came, the orgasm drawn out until Peggy wondered if Grace would ever stop. And, the screams of Grace got louder. Peggy had to cling to the woman’s hips with tight hands because her ass was churning up and down and revolving powerfully.
When she thought the orgasm was over, Peggy started to pull her tongue free. But Grace had grabbed her head and pulled her mouth tightly into her cunt, her long legs draping over Peggy’s shoulders. The beat of those thighs against her cheeks sent a rumbling orgasm bursting within Peggy’s cunt, and she began to lick and suck furiously once more at the dripping pussy.
“More! Oh, more!” Grace yelled frantically. “I want more! Give me more, you hot fucking cunt! Ohhhh, you sweet fucking bitch! Give me more tongue!”
Peggy heard the words of Grace. Her tongue shot into the cunt once more, sucking in a frenzy.
It was wild and somewhat strange to Peggy. Grace seemed so desperate for this, but the words she yelled somehow failed to fit the image the woman had been showing. Being called those names did not bother her at all. She knew passion was holding Grace. It was the desperation of a woman with intense sexual feelings, nothing more. The words meant nothing except that Grace was almost out of her mind with steaming desire.
The woman’s dark-haired cunt was in spasms again, the lips sucking and clinging to Peggy’s tongue, flexing in wave after wave of orgasms.
It seemed hours before Grace finally let her ass slump, and Peggy pulled her thoroughly wet face out of the greedy cunt. She sat on her heels, watching as Grace breathed with sharp gasps, her naked body trembling and shivering with the after glow of satisfaction.
Later, after dressing, they sat in the dining room of the house, drinking coffee. Peggy could not get over this difference in Grace. No longer did she appear to be a woman of mindless desire. Once again she looked cool and aloof, but her dark eyes were friendly now, very friendly.
“I’ve got to be careful,” Grace said when Peggy asked about this seemingly double personality.
“I don’t understand that at all, Grace,” Peggy said. “You certainly aren’t a cold person—what we just did proves that very well. Is it your husband? Does he cause this... this coolness?”
Grace laughed, the sound low and sensual. “Oh, my goodness no! I think I’ve given you the wrong impression, Peggy.”
“I still don’t understand,” Peggy insisted. “We’ve lived next door to each other all this time, yet you’ve seldom spoke to me, or anyone else that I’m aware of. Why, be so stand-offish?”
“I told you the other day that once we got to know each other, you might understand it,” Grace said. “I’m not sure the time is right, even now.”
But Peggy began to think she understood. She looked at Grace for a long moment, then said, very deliberately. “Do you know that Donny is fucking Susy?”
Grace stared back at Peggy. Although her expression did not change, those dark eyes seemed to become mysterious. Slowly, Grace nodded her head.
“You don’t mind?” Peggy said.
Again there was slight change in Grace’s eyes, but then they became warm again. “There isn’t much I can do about it, Peggy, if I did mind.”
“Of course you can do something about it,” Peggy said. “You’re her mother.”
“Then why don’t you talk to Donny?” Grace said. “Do you care if he’s fucking my daughter?”
“Only if you do,” Peggy said. “Otherwise, I don’t mind at all.” She looked closely at Grace. “What do you mean, there’s nothing you can do about it?”
“Susy is... hot,” Grace said. “She’s so fucking hot, she’s almost insatiable.”
“Susy? Your daughter is...”
Grace nodded. “But it’s understandable, Peggy. After all, look what we just did. I’m that way myself.”
“And your husband?” Peggy pressed. “I suppose he can’t handle you... give you enough?”
“Of course he can,” Grace laughed. “It looks as if you’re going to find out things quicker than I thought.” She stood up.
“Come with me... I’ll show you.”
Curious, Peggy followed Grace down the hall. She watched the sway of Grace’s ass cheeks, seeing a much different walk than usual. She realized that, in her own home, Grace was natural, but strived to be cool in public.
As she stepped into the master bedroom, her eyes went wide.
Every wall, was solid mirror, ceiling and floor included. There was a huge waterbed in the center of the bedroom, and reflections were all over the place. The waterbed was round, and the only thing on it was a black satin sheet. There were white figures all over it, and on close inspection, Peggy saw the figures were all entwined in various sexual positions.
“I love it!” she breathed excitedly. “I just adore it, Grace.”
“Paul and I designed it,” Grace replied. “He’s just as horny as I am... and... Susy. Do you understand now, Peggy?”
“I’m not sure,” Peggy said. “I see a room designed for erotic fucking, of course, and I know you’re a hot one.”
Grace opened a concealed door. It was a closet, Peggy saw, filled with various articles of clothing. When Grace showed the clothing to her, she saw they were all designed with one thing in mind—to tantalize and arouse.
One garment caught her eye.
Taking it from the closet, she looked at it. It was a dress, but certainly too small for Grace. From the front it was complete, but there were two holes in the bodice, where tits could protrude. Turning it, she saw the dress ended at the waist, with the back missing. It had been designed to reveal the person’s ass who wore it.
She looked at Grace.
There was a faint flush on her beautiful flesh, and her dark eyes seemed shy suddenly.
“You and Paul are very erotic, aren’t you?” Peggy said.
“Now you know,” Grace replied, sounding oddly flustered. “Please, Peggy, you won’t say anything about this, will you?”
“Now, who would I tell?”
Grace hugged Peggy. “You don’t think I’m... wicked?” “Good God, no!” Peggy laughed. “I find this delightful!”

Don’t get me wrong, I loved my friends to death and back and then some, but they could be real fucking idiots sometimes.
Most of the time.
Perhaps I simply had a more conservative outlook on the dating culture in LA, or maybe I was traumatized enough where my hopeless romantic naive middle school girl heart turned into an all or nothing brittle young adult woman heart. Nothing was wrong with that, I didn’t think, until I moved to LA to live closer to my new friends.
I met them after my YouTube and Instagram exploded, which I know I said I would never do, but they truly were the most amazing people I met.
My friendship with Sam and Colby didn’t end after they invited me and one of my friends to film a video with them. I knew who they were; we interacted on social media plenty of times but never communicated privately. I also was keen on truly finding out more about the spiritual realm, so when I followed them into that haunted mansion, there was no room for bullshit.
I guess they respected that because not even 24 hours later, Colby was asking for my number.
Maybe I was an idiot and gave it to him.
I genuinely thought it was purely so we could have an easier time than clogged dm’s to collaborate again. And it was. We strictly talked about spirituality and paranormal activity for six months. I always asked about their investigations and he always enthusiastically responded.
I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed it.
The messages developed into something else, something with seemingly less purpose, in the autumn. I remember it being mid October when Colby sent a photo of himself. It looked like any other Snapchat or Instagram story he would post, but then I looked on his social media and realized that this photo was taken just for me.
Which was fine; I didn’t think twice about it. In fact, I felt excited because he trusted me enough to ask about the new merch sample they received. Of course it looked good and there were now flaws to pick out. I picked out a couple to make sure he stayed humble. Of course they were lies.
I learned a month before that they had private socials for their friends only. And, oh. The amount of tomfoolery that went on behind that firewall was better than the latest show I binged. For one, I didn’t realize that Colby saw a different girl basically every night. At least I think they were different girls.
At heart, I’m 100 percent a girl’s girl and I will always see the value in every girl but goddamn; I didn’t realize how easy it was to make yourself look exactly like someone else. I mean, down to the exact shade of brunette hair, body type, and sometimes eye color? It felt like I was the delusional one and tripping out on his new girlfriend. That wasn’t what it was though. A different girl was tagged everytime.
The boys weren’t unfamiliar with posting edgier photos whether it be in the middle of an abandoned place that could crumble and kill them before they thought to react, or it be them posing with minimal clothing or some kind of flirtatious caption in the description. Those weren’t bad things, but they were new to me, and honestly, it kind of melted down the anxiety I built in my head about posting new photos on Instagram. Suddenly it didn’t feel like I had to be perfect and get the perfect shot anymore; a lot of it was shock factor.
Which the boys did exceptionally well.
My friends bulldozed their way through the beginning of 2024. It was entertaining, to say the least, but when I saw photos of their New Year’s party, I was taken back by how minimal they turned out. I came across four photos. A girl kissed Sam at midnight, Colby’s arm was around a girl’s waist, the two of them with probably nine other people in a cute group shot, and the last one was them outside the club the party was at—darkened city streets and palm trees that glistened with New Year’s sparkles and confetti were behind them—and I loved those photos. All of them.
But they weren’t the full picture. Definitely not the full picture.
I vividly remember turning the corner with friends into one of the secluded cut outs of lounge space. My best friend and I tried to find more friends and, well, we found them. Firstly, I would admit that the music was so loud I felt the bass in my bones, so maybe that had something to play. I also was in the double digits of how many combined drinks and shots I had, so there was that as well.
But when we turned the corner, I remember the same girl who kissed Sam at midnight was on his lap kissing him again, only this time she fully grinded on him and he didn’t even raise a hand to stop.
Which, okay, to be fair, whatever I don’t care. What caught me off guard was the complete lack of care from everyone else as well. I’m not sure if I have the confidence to practically have sex in a semi-public space with all my friends around me, but whatever.
What bothered me more, somehow, was the way Colby’s hands wouldn’t leave that girl’s skin—the same one he kissed at midnight—and I didn’t know why. Maybe I did, but it was more of a complete annoyance than anything. Maybe some disapproval as well.
He was with someone different just the night before—it was on his Instagram story—and he hooked up with the same girl multiple times during the trip we all took during Christmas. At least he was with her for an entire week rather than one day.
It wasn’t my business though, so naturally, I didn’t give a fuck nor did I say a word. It was so easy to behave like it didn’t affect me in any way or leave a bad taste in my mouth, because it didn’t.
”Hey!” I instantly broke into a smile when Tara met us halfway from the couches and drinks and friends and confetti and the making out— “Where have you guys been?”
”We had drinks and kind of got lost dancing with people,” I laughed. It was the truth and considering the flush in our cheeks and the more unkempt pieces of hair down our backs, Tara didn’t question it. Her hand linked with mine and she dragged us to the left side of the room; black leather couches lined in a semicircle.
And that was when the night truly began.
It also finished there when one of us passed out; I don’t remember who but I swear it wasn’t me.
My night finished when I emptied my guts on the street outside. I think Tara’s hands were in my hair and Colby’s voice was quiet and close to me. I’m pretty sure the sun was rising when we stepped foot in that Uber.
So that was as far as my friendship with Sam and Colby had gone. They were fantastic at their jobs, cared deeply about their work, and cared even more about the supernatural and what’s beyond, and they partied hard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was true. I scanned over the last few messages between us. I didn’t mean to leave Colby on read. Something sprouted in me from that moment. I couldn’t fully comprehend what it was. Maybe it was the abrasiveness of the photo, or maybe it was because I didn’t anticipate Colby ever crossing that imaginary boundary. This photo didn’t just cross it, he shot a hundred yards past and then some.
That look in his eyes—the subtle desperation in his text—something, somewhere, did it for me.
It was completely unsolicited as well. Well, unwarranted at least. Once I saw the photo it was solicited in every way imaginable. I didn’t understand where those intense feelings came from. It was intangible.
My stomach soured inside of me. It had me spiraling. Every look, every touch; Colby hardcore gave himself away. It wasn’t that I couldn’t handle it. It wasn’t that I didn’t want it, no, not even that.
It was the fact that I loved it.
That caught me off guard. That nearly scared me.
It was no secret that a while ago, before we even interacted on social media, Colby drunkenly uncovered some too-personal details on the internet. And of course the internet ran wild with them. It kind of became part of his persona which he bravely embraced—which I admired because if I were in his situation, I would coil up and die—and it surpassed the internet’s perception of him as well.
But the underlying tone of his photo, of his text, completely betrayed that persona I was familiar with.
So I waited.
And waited.
I didn’t mean to leave him on read before the photo, but after he sent it, I left him on read with purpose in order to see what came of it. If he was willing to send that one desperate photo after an accidental ignoring, what would he do if it was deliberate?
It wasn’t very dominant of him to lace his photos and matching words with yearning like that.

I groaned as I rolled over in my chilling duvet. My arms stretched above me and my vision darkened. Damn right it was 6am, and I innocently woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep so I checked my phone. It still lodged in my stretched hand.
It buzzed again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unfortunately, he and I both knew that he was right.
I rolled out of bed and my legs tangled in the slick white sheets.
I haphazardly made my way into my en suite and flicked on the light. The eye bags were out to say hello this morning, which checked out. I was nearly 27; why the hell did I allow a grown man to get me out of bed to go outside before my body willed.
Tumblr media
”Jesus Christ,” I gasped at his behavior. So, naturally, I snapped a photo of myself in the mirror.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
‘Better?’ I typed and hit send with trembling hands. He didn’t respond.
My heart pounded.
Perhaps I shouldn’t have sent that.
If he spits out his own medicine then he shouldn’t have offered it to me.
Tumblr media
With shaking hands, I got myself ready as requested.
It hadn’t always been like this even though it felt so.
Our relationship evolved and with every text, it dramatically developed into something more than a professional one. Like a friendship, at the very least, and now here I was finding myself lacing my shoes for this man before seven am to go to some… place.
Eight days ago we came back from a long trip of filming content for their channel.
Five days ago Sam asked us to go pick up shit for this party that was forgotten in transit or something. It was the first time we were alone together, and while the task was simple and mundane, it was fun.
Fun enough for me to say yes to him all the time apparently, because four days ago, Colby asked me to come to a photo shoot for their next merch launch.
Three days ago, Sam, Colby and I went out with Tara, Jake and Johnnie and took photos afterward.
Two days ago we partied hard with the gang again.
And yesterday, well, yesterday I went to Sam and Colby’s house for no reason.
We had breakfast, relaxed for once, and did nothing.
Nothing was so entirely great.
Now when I left my apartment that morning, he was already there waiting for me. We didn’t live close enough to walk, but maybe two exits at most from each other.
“Wow you look so happy to see the sun,” Colby remarked. My squinted eyes glared back at him. I forgot to change my hair from its bed head state in any way. A piece of it dangled in front of my eye bags. He only laughed back at me.
“I’m here. I didn’t say I would be happy about it.”
”Don’t worry, you will be soon.” I didn’t respond because I didn’t want to get too snappy. I knew I was joking, but the lack of caffeine and over abundance of morning light did not fare well in me.
”Here is this,” he said before he even gave me a thick enough pause to reply. I looked over and he pulled an energy drink from behind my chair. It was cold. “Palatable offering, I hope.”
”It is,” I laughed and snapped it open.
For an early morning, it was fairly a quick drive on the freeway to this mystery location.
”We’re flying to Australia soon.”
”Oh really?” I gasped and looked over at him. The sun brightened this side of his face. ”Damn.”
”Yeah, we’ve put it off for so long and it’s finally happening. We’re so excited.”
”I bet. Wait, when are you leaving?”
”Six days.”
”That is really soon.” His eyes widened with a sigh.
”Yeah.”
”What, unprepared?”
”As much as we should be prepared already considering how long we’ve wanted to go, yes. Very much so unprepared. We’ve been running around like crazy trying to get things in order at any time we can.”
”So this morning?” He shook his head. I hadn’t looked away from him for a second as we spoke. He kept his eyes on the road.
”How dare I take a tiny break for myself.”
”Naturally you invite me then?”
”I suppose.” By the quiet tone of his voice, I didn’t push. I didn’t prod or step across a line.
I don’t think I even stepped on it. I ran away from it.
”DId Tara mention that we’re going to New York and staying there until Tana and Brooke get there while on tour?”
”Oh shit, no she didn’t. Wait, she did go on their podcast recently.”
”Yeah. Two weeks ago she did. I went with her and we talked for so long. We literally canceled our next plans and decided that we would catch up again in New York when they got there. I think they have a good five days off or something to stay there a week.”
”Oh sweet, when are you leaving?”
”March second.”
”Oh shit, that’s the day we get back from Australia.”
”Oh really?”
There was silence.
“And when do you get back?”
”The plan is to be back by March 12th but we’ll see if that happens.” For the first time since he gave me the drink, he stole a glance from me.
”You’ll see?”
”Tara was talking about going to uh—God I forgot, a specific place, though, for spring break with some other girls too. I think we may be back to re-pack and then head there.”
”Oh okay, okay.” My stomach swarmed with butterflies. I couldn’t pinpoint why. I was overly excited for our trips; it had been a while since I went anywhere for a break and to spend time with myself and the girls, and myself and the girls only.
We parked.
It was a bit farther than I anticipated, but there were less people and mainly lone hikers who risked more of a challenge in the early morning. I didn’t mind. I was simply here for the ride and grateful that I could keep up with Colby.
”Sam and I came here a while ago because we saw it and were curious. It’s a really nice place for photos and to walk in silence.”
”Oh silence. I love that.”
”Yeah,” he laughed. “I know.”
So we walked in silence.
The hills rolled and seemed to touch the skies in some places. Even in the winter chill, the sun warmed my face and within ten minutes both of our hoodies came off. Dust emitted from the ground but stayed. It was dry as hell and not as windy as usual so we were covered in it.
“This way,” he said and we veered to the left up a steeper route of white rock. Thistles of cacti and various plants I was afraid to touch nipped at our ankles as we calculated our steps on the small jut outs lodged in the hill.
Then, near the top and to the right, Colby reached a eight to twelve foot—I wasn’t quite sure—plateau. It wasn’t a long drop to our ground, per say, but the sun’s light was cut from where I stood. I basked in the shade as Colby climbed up with his long ass nimble legs.
”Here,” he said and his hand reached to mine. I climbed the first few feet of rocks before taking his hand.
Maybe I should not have been as enthusiastic to hold his rough dirty hand if even for a few split moments.
Once on top, there was another few yards of elevation until we reached the peak that I supposed he and Sam found before. They weren’t wrong. This portion of the hill was fairly tall compared to the rest, and while we stood in the dusty rocks of the peak, the other side was a grassy downslope that fell straight towards the valley from which we came. Morning light streaked across the city in pinks and oranges while the tips of buildings and hills on the other side of the city reflected mature midday sun.
Maybe getting out of bed this morning wasn’t all that bad.
“Oh my god, you were right. This is a fantastic place.”
”See?” He replied happily. “And there’s really no one who comes out this far.”
”I know. Maybe we should come back for photos since you left me out the first time.”
”Well when we do come back for photos, you will have been here the same amount we have so it’s like we didn’t leave you out.”
”What are you talking about? You’re here now.”
”Well… It’s fine. We’ll still come back.”
More silence.
I sat down first. Colby sat next to me and leaned back on his hands.
“Right that way,” Colby started as he pointed quite to the right of us; east. “Sam and I filmed this one video. I don’t think we can see the plateau very well from here, but it was the one where this guy in a cloak threw a cross over us and into the valley.”
”Oh shit, wait,” I gasped. “I remember that.”
”Yeah,” he scoffed. “Sometimes I think about all the weird stuff that happens at night only for the morning to feel so peaceful.”
“It’s almost as if your mind plays tricks on you.” He gave me a look.
”Wow, I guess Sam and I and also the camera hallucinated that damn cross.”
”Oh my god,” I laughed. “No but, he threw that thing damn far.”
”I know! It was even crazier in person because it wasn’t light when we picked it up.” I looked back to the valley. The white rocks descended into purples and blues where a few highways entered and exited.
”Do you think he’s the reason you got all scratched up?”
”Oh god, I have no idea.”
”Or do you think whatever it is just stays here?” Colby shrugged but kept his gaze across the sea of hills. I could tell; he tried to identify the property they were on but couldn’t.
”I don’t know. If it does, it sure isn’t in charge of the morning, is it?”
”No.” My voice was quiet.
My heart pounded.
When would it get a rest?
I opened my mouth before I thought about it.
”Why didn’t you bring Sam?” My seriousness was probably enough to tell him that I meant bringing him in this moment instead. He shook his head before he spoke.
”I didn’t—It’s not that I didn’t bring him. I just wanted you to come.”
”Oh. I see.”
“You said yes,” he laughed.
”Maybe I just like doing nothing with you. All we do it work and run around like crazy all the time.”
”That’s true.”
Another pause.
”This weekend was really nice though,” I admitted. He looked at me. I didn’t look back.
”It was, I think.”
”Because yeah we probably got too fucked up on Friday and Saturday nights, but just relaxing and not doing anything with you guys is actually nice.”
”You say that as if you expected it to be awful.” I smiled and shot him a look.
“No I don’t. I just mean that it’s nice to see you—all of you—not stressed until you want to drink yourself to death.” Colby sighed.
”No, you’re right.”
”I know I’m right.”
”Yeah, and humble.”
“Shut up,” I laughed and shoved his arm slightly. It gave out and he caught himself.
When we straightened ourselves and leaned back like we were, his hand accidentally landed close to mine. It didn’t touch me, but I felt the warmth between us.
This silence was still. Brutally, peacefully, still.
My tongue clamped to the roof of my mouth. I heard my heartbeat in my ears. As I tried to find something within the horizon to take interest in, the corner of my eye caught the expression on his face. He too looked forward, eyebrows pressed serious, and lips parted.
I would think he was lost in thought and had been for a while now.
As I looked at him slowly, his finger ever so slightly lifted and came over mine. I don’t think it covered but half of my finger, and I wasn’t sure if he touched it all that much. But it was there and I waited for the weight of it.
”Let’s get up. You haven’t posted on Instagram in, what? Three months? Why should we wait to take pictures later?”
”Bitch,” I gasped and sat forward. He looked at me. His eyes were still thoughtful and dark. But his mouth lifted to a smile. “I look like shit.”
”No you don’t.”
I left it at that.
A handful of photos—for both of our feeds—later, and we coasted down the hill twice as fast as we came up. My ankles were almost too weak to handle it from the photo session. I tensed my entire body to shake the thoughts away. My hands were so slick by the time it was my turn to snap photos of him that I thought I would drop his phone. I held my breath the second his shirt came up and off his body. I only really stared at the screen.
There was something about that moment that seemed too close, too serious, for me to look at him not through a screen.
It wasn’t that I hadn’t seen him half dressed before; it was basically his everyday wear. For some reason though, out by ourselves alone in the valley made it seem ten times more intimate. I’ve been alone with him in his bedroom when he hardly wore clothes, I’ve fallen asleep next to him on flights, in beds, on sofas.
It wasn’t like this. My eyes couldn’t retreat from the areas the sun reflected on his skin.
When we got in the car, suddenly it was stuffy and hot, and we tossed our clothes to the backseat before Colby turned the A/C on high.
”Jesus Christ, it’s February!” He shouted. I laughed and held onto my drink. Of course it was flat and not cold anymore but it was something for my aching throat.
I forced myself to look forward even as his hand subconsciously met the back of my chair when he began to back from the parking space. Even with the over abundance of cameras on this damn car, he still never used them.
“Aw shit,” Colby laughed as he looked at his phone.
”What?”
”Sam asked where the fuck I was.”
”Oh my god—“
”And then just asked to grab food on the way back.”
”Let’s get food then.”
I spent the rest of the day with them.
When I walked into their spare bathroom downstairs, I paused as I turned on the lights.
My hair was a mess, my tan popped against the dark sports bra that caked with dust, and in the reflection were sun dazed eyes. Then I looked to the counter and the room spun.
Half of my make up and products I used to get ready sprawled across the granite counter. I forgot that on Saturday night I got ready here before we went out, and Tara sat in the bathtub eating her dinner and entertained me while I did so. My shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were in the shower. I looked back at myself in the mirror.
My towel hung behind me.

”Come on!”
“I’m hurrying!”
”Let’s go!”
”Fucking trying, bitch!”
”You’re walking!”
The door slammed.
”Impatient animals, Jesus fuck,” Tara sighed. She turned back to me. I backed away from the mirror.
“Wait we look hot let me—“ And Tara grabbed her phone and snapped mirrors selfies with the both of us before we exited the bathroom.
”Just put your shoes on in the car or else Sam will leave us here,” I told Tara. My shoes were also in my hand.
”Right, right,” she grumbled. “Coming.” I stood at the front door and waited for her. I scowled at the raging black clouds in the sky. There was no way we would make it into the studio before the storm began. “Surprisingly my ex-boyfriend would never treat me like this,” she grumbled as she hopped past me. I scoffed a laugh.
”Yeah because he knew he’d get his ass beat.”
”I mean you’re not wrong.”
We hopped in the back seats of Sam’s car, and that was how we started the last night we all had together before over a month of separate travels.
To be fair, we were running over 30 minutes behind to get the photoshoot we should have been ultra prepared for. We planned it nearly six days ago after Sam complained about not being a part of our morning photoshoot in the hills. Tara came along because, obviously.
Bickering was the only way for us to relieve the stress of not getting into the car as soon as we needed.
”If I find another one of these in the car, I’m fucking throwing it away,” Colby spat and chunked whatever tube of makeup into the bag Sam held.
”Excuse me, that was mine—“
”Was,” Colby cut me off with a little too much emphasis.
”I’m pretty sure they stopped making those—“
”God fucking thank you then. Now I don’t have to throw one away everytime I climb back here to get shit.”
”You throw them away?” I cried. Colby glared at me from where he leaned inside the trunk of his car.
“Yeah? They would end up crawling back over here anyway.” I rolled my eyes at the muted pitch of his voice.
We stood at the back of the car for all but ten seconds while we each grabbed different things for the photoshoot and the podcast we were about to film and within those ten seconds, the angry clouds decided it was a good time to rain down on us.
As Colby slammed the back shut, I followed Tara straight for the door to the back of the studio. She already was safe under the patio cover.
The tension in the air wasn’t funny or a joke anymore.
I repeated the expression I saw on Sam’s face in my head when I whirled around and followed Tara. He wasn’t messing around anymore. He didn’t look at me and only stared at Colby waiting for his next command.
Needless to say, it never came.
Colby didn’t say another word until we were on the set.
It had been a few minutes. We caught our breaths while our hair and makeup were freshened. Tara and I gossiped between ourselves to calm down and keep ourselves occupied.
And then it was time for photos.
This morning we woke up late. We went out last night and didn’t set alarms. With two podcasts and a photoshoot scheduled, the day started off high stress. We scrambled to get ourselves to the podcast. We surprisingly were only ten minutes late.
This time, however, we somehow were not as lucky.
Between getting food, driving across the city, and changing, we didn’t get enough time in between the first podcast and the photoshoot. Of course this used up the last of Colby’s patience. He was snappy and unapproachable because it was supposed to work, and now, other people had been waiting for us and the podcast was pushed back as well.
Sam and I were wholeheartedly fine with taking the brunt of it too.
But by the time I walked on set, my own frustration pooled in my stomach. Colby’s eyes still flared angry and spiteful even as I looked at them. He blinked a few times before he looked away.
We posed and were posed by the photographers for such a long time, I was tired of pretending to smile and, honestly, I was simply tired of being perceived in such a vulnerable way. Sure, the other three were more used to it, especially Sam and Colby, but damn. I was fatigued and dizzied with alternating emotions.
Tara and I posed alone together next which was alleviating.
My brain turned off.
Then it was Sam and Colby’s turn alone.
My brain turned on when Sam gestured me over.
I wanted to coil up and rot in my bed. I was tired, Colby stressed me out, Sam was snappy with me, and Tara just wanted to sleep. We were falling apart, but when I came back to them, they were somehow brighter. They talked to and cooperated with the photographer more, and the three of us got shots that I was actually excited about.
What numbed me and gave me a second wind was the feeling of Colby’s hands on my waist, him against my side, and our backs to each other. He grabbed my arm during a pose set up and I swore my skin melted to the bone. I felt it through the rest of the day.
Then, we changed and did it all over again.
An hour later, we were leaving the studio when Colby got the call.
The last podcast was canceled.
No one talked when we piled in the car. It was pure silence, and I looked in the rear view mirror slowly. I watched Colby. He looked down at his phone and texted for a little while until he started music. Then he looked up. His eyes locked on mine.
No one spoke. Neither of us looked away. He didn’t look happy, to say the least.
”What are we going to do?” Sam sighed. The only one brave enough to speak to Colby was him obviously; he was the only one Colby wouldn’t kick out of the car. Probably.
”I don’t know,” he sighed and looked away from me and adjusted how he sat. His head hit the head rest. “I’m fucking tired and done with today.”
”Let’s just go out.”
”Again?” I gasped. The burning in my throat from last night returned.
“It’s Saturday night and I know a group’s about to get dinner before hitting a couple clubs,” Tara said as her eyes still locked on her phone. I looked back at Colby. He was already looking at me. I looked back at Tara.
”I mean, we have to be at the airport at five in the morning.”
”We’ll sleep on the plane.”
”Being hungover on a plane doesn’t seem like a fun way to fly.”
”You’re flying regardless,” Colby intervened. I looked back at him. His eyes were thinner, darker. “Let’s just go.”
”Fine.”
And that’s how we ended up drunker than we ever had.
I was hungover before I finished my umpteenth shot, Tara was on the table, and Sam found the girl he had been talking to. Of course she was a part of our group now; the group Tara texted.
The haze in Colby’s eyes calmed me down. He spoke enthusiastically and smiled more than not. Finally, it felt like we wound down to our regular selves again.
“Come on!”
“I really can’t—“
”Please! It’s our last time here for a while, let’s just have fun!”
”Tara, I can’t even walk straight without running into things. What makes you think I can dance?”
”Everyone’s so close anyway, you don’t have to hold yourself up.” Her arms yanked me out of the sofa before another protest had the time to settle. I was followed.
I didn’t know by who, but I felt the presence behind me as we made our way across the dark club. Finally, Tara led me across the threshold of the dance floor. Then she spun around and didn’t let go of my hand.
Her eyes lifted behind me. An evil smile pulled at her mouth.
”What’s wrong—“
”Nothing,” she cut me off, and pulled me from looking behind me. “Come on.”
She didn’t have to tell me twice. I felt the music reverberating through me like a vessel already. If I was going to be in pain all day tomorrow, I might as well make the most of it tonight.
It didn’t take long, but I felt a hand on my arm, a pressure on my body, and I turned around wildly. A face I couldn’t recognize, and Tara yanked me away, closer to her.
I watched her mouth but I couldn’t hear her words. I nodded and smiled in agreement anyway, and danced with her.
And again, hands found my waist, but this time more pressure in places that I definitely didn’t ask for it to be, so I gasped a breath and whipped myself around, but the hands were off of me before I got the chance to see who it was.
I looked up to Colby who shoved someone—the pressure I supposed—behind him. He looked back to the man who grabbed me. Violently, he spoke and shoved again. I didn’t understand what he said but I agreed. Wholeheartedly.
”Colby,” I gasped as if he could hear me.
With the shaking of his head, he stepped into my personal space.
”How did you know I didn’t want to dance with someone?” He scoffed.
“I don’t care if you wanted to or not, clearly you didn’t ask for that.”
”I could have taken care of it.”
”And? That was gross. I was right there.”
Right, Colby followed us to the dance floor. That’s right. I felt his eyes on me the entire time.
”Why were you watching us?”
”Because you’re drunk as hell and both of you are half the size as the majority of people here.” Why did I like the hostility on his tongue? I almost tasted the alcohol that intoxicated him.
”Yeah, that’s all it is, isn’t it?”
”What else would it be?” There it was. That flirty flick up of his eyebrow. We were the only three paused in the sea of dancing bodies.
”Just—Come on,” Tara grumbled and gripped both of our elbows. “Can’t have any fun with you when Colby’s around, can I?”
”What the fuck does that mean?”
Tara didn’t respond.
She went back to friends, but Colby grabbed me and held me back.
Again, his grip was heaven itself there in that hell hole. I spun back to him. I didn’t miss the way his eyes flickered across my full face before settling on my eyes. Drunken mistakes.
”No, tell me,” he said. Lowly.
”Tell you what?” I scoffed. He rolled his eyes.
”What else would I defend you like that for?” My gaze fell from his eyes, his nose, lips, chest, the floor.
I shook my head.
”I’m drunk as hell.”
”Yeah same,” he sighed. He took a step back. His eyes didn’t leave me though.
”Why do you look at me like that?” He shook his head. Don’t ask the things you don’t want to know about. “Stop looking at—Talk to me,” I demanded.
”You’re so—“ He gritted his teeth and his voice caught in his throat when his hands found my face and held me still. My lips parted fairly widely as shock rose my eyebrows. His eyes looked at me. With intention.
My body caught ablaze, and I didn’t like it. Not this time. This kind of wildfire was destructive; non rebuildable.
”Colby—“
He just looked at me. Even closer. I almost felt the sweetness of his mouth on mine.
”I’m more of an all or nothing kind of girl, Colby, not—not a one and done like you,” I said. My calmest words laced with a poison that furrowed his eyebrows. “I don’t do those smash and dashes like you do, so if that’s what you’re looking for, you can go back to those models you fuck every other day because that’s not the kind of body you’ll find here.”
Hurt spread across his face. His hands slowly fell from me, and for the first time, I wanted to take the words back.
“Really?” He gasped. It cut deeper; his hurt. I didn’t mean it.
Maybe I got it all wrong.
”That—Really? That’s what you have to say to me?”
”Colby,” I spat his name through teeth weakened by grit. “Don’t ruin our new friendship, I was liking it way too much.”
”I’m not ruining anything. You don’t know what I want.”
”Then you’re confusing. Too complicated for me.” I stepped away from him. He took a step towards me. “I don’t appreciate my best friends using me.”
”Good. I don’t either.”
”So what’s this?” I gesture to his hands. “Why do you touch me like that? And why does it look like you could kiss me at any moment?”
”Are you projecting or something? Because my wanting to kiss you doesn’t equate to using you.”
A laugh burst from me.
”So when you kissed all those other girls in front of me even after we texted the way we do and after you fucked them, you didn’t use them?” My head cocked to the side in defiance.
Fire blazed in his eyes.
”You’re ridiculous.”
”I am?” I shouted.
”You don’t know anything.”
”Right,” I scoffed. “Not like you’ve made advancements in helping me know something—Colby.”
He grabbed my face like he did and shoved himself back into my space. This time, I felt his front collide into mine. My hands grabbed his wrists.
I froze.
My lips parted the moment his grazed mine.
He caught me. His eyes lifted to mine with a smirk slowly pulled at his dark lips.
“So you talk your shit but you’d still kiss me back?”
”Fuck you,” I spat. He smiled evilly.
”You’d love to, wouldn’t you?” He molded his words over my bottom lip, and I opened my mouth for more.
“Mm, maybe,” I mumbled. His eyes blew wide when I bit down on his bottom lip. “But I would love it more if you didn’t fuck me over after.”
He shook his head quickly.
”I wouldn’t,” I think he gasped so quietly that only by the breath on my skin could I discern his words.
I retracted my teeth and replaced them with my lips.
That was when one of his hands traveled to my messy pulled back hair and he kissed me with such intensity that I’m sure I fell to the ground. A noise escaped my throat but I didn’t back down. I couldn’t when his hands were firm on my body like he knew it already.
So of course I kissed him back like he was mine.
He always was, wasn’t he? I licked into his mouth first, and I think it caught him off guard because a deep moan pressed against my tongue and his thumb jutted under my chin as if to hold me in place. The taste of our drinks mixed in our mouths, and I breathed him in like I needed the hit.
I think he moaned my name; all this time he took a step and then another step into me as if he aimlessly tried to find a stable surface to pin me but couldn’t. He was too drunk to remember that we were in the middle of a bustling club. I ran into someone. I didn’t care.
I took advantage of his leap of shock and my lips wrapped around his tongue. That was when his eyes opened and he slowly looked down at me in surprise when we ever so slowly retract from each other.
”Holy shit,” I thought I heard, and we must have both heard since we both looked over in the direction of our friends.
Sam stared back at us and Tara’s pouty smirk fired directly at me.
Colby took three big steps away from me. Looked at me.
”Colby,” I said but he left me and walked towards Sam.
Sam and Colby walked towards the back door of the club with a dictionary of words between them. Tara stood in front of me.
”It’s 2:30, we gotta go and get ready for our flight.”
”But—But Colby—“
”I know, but we gotta go. Sam was going to be sick.”
I took her hand as she took mine and her friend dropped us off at my house.
The taste of Colby’s lips was the only thing that kept the vomit in the back of my throat.
Tumblr media
That sunrise was not kind.
I vomited while packing. I vomited while in the Uber. And again while waiting at the terminal.
At least we got through TSA without a vomit session.
I wanted those hands on me again. To numb the pain. I typically didn’t hurt this bad with a hangover.
I plopped in my seat and Tara already cuddled up into me with her neck pillow and blanket. I checked my phone.
New message from my best friend, but that was it.
I couldn't blame them—to be fair—it was still the night for them, and if Sam had to be sick while at the club, I knew he would be drunk until the late morning and hungover by sundown. Colby on the other hand was drunk, but I couldn’t tell if he was drunk enough to be hungover. I couldn’t read him at all tonight—last night. I understood his mouth perfectly well though, and unfortunately I wanted to communicate more.
Or fortunately? I couldn’t decide quite yet.
I fell asleep before we took off.
When I woke up, the sun blared into the cabin like a lightning rod. I moaned and squinted my eyes, and stretched in my sleep.
”Oh good, you’re up,” Tara said. I looked over at her. Her AirPods were in, a roller was in her hair, and she watched Netflix on her laptop as she filed her nails. “I was getting bored.”
”Jesus Christ, Tara. I’m going to be sick.”
”Ha! No you’re not. Take this.” She handed me a pill and what looked to be an antibacterial wipe. “I don’t give a fuck if you gotta stick that wipe up your nose; you won’t be vomiting on this plane. That’s so embarrassing.”
”Tara,” I moaned and sat up more. The nausea sickened me. I dry swallowed the pill. The alcohol from the wipe did, in fact, aid my hangover bile. ”What time is it?”
”Ten. We’ve been on the flight for like four hours.” I sighed and sat upright in my seat with my eyes clamped shut. My thoughts battled to ward off the nausea. “So, Sam and I walked in on you making out with Colby last night.”
”Oh my god, don’t remind me.”
“What the fuck was that about, huh?”
”God, I have no idea”
”And you didn’t even do anything after as well.” I shot her a glare.
“The fuck you mean ‘do anything?’ Obviously we weren’t going to fuck if that’s what you’re saying.” I rolled my head away from her and leaned it on my hand. It needed physical support too not just emotional.
“What are you talking about?” She laughed. “The tension has been making me sick. I thought you guys were finally going to get it over with.”
That annihilated my ability to ward off nausea.
”I’m going to throw up.”
”Fucking don’t, bitch,” she threatened me with her nail file. “We have to get our nails done in New York because I feel like a dirty girl when we’re going to nice clubs or whatever.”
”We can get them done.” The thought of a nail salon scent quenched the nausea.
”Anyway, about Colby—“
”I do not want to hear that name right now.”
Tara looked at me with concern. A frightening silent concern. The concern was only heavily serious when Tara was quiet.
”He didn’t look happy after he kissed you. What happened?” And how could I lie to that hushed worrisome voice.
”I told him that—oh god what did I say?” I tried to remember as I rubbed my eyes. Thank god Tara convinced me to take off—and also partially helped me—take off my makeup last night. “I said something like I’m not into hooking up like he is—Oh, I’m not a one and done kind of girl. I told him I wanted all of him or nothing.”
”Shit,” Tara gasped. “That’s kind of a lot, isn’t it?”
”I mean he tried to kiss me, Tara! Before we even talked about it.”
”Okay? What’s the problem with that?”
”I really enjoyed our friendship,” I sighed. “I don’t want it bursting into flames. Hanging out with them and working with them is amazing, and once it does inevitably fuck up after we actually date, then I can’t lose them.”
”I know it doesn’t work for everyone, but you could still be friends with them.” I sighed heavily. Tara’s eyes still examined me.
”There’s no way I could feel for Colby the way you do for Jake right now.”
”How come?” I opened my mouth to speak but no words found me. “You—You’re really serious about Colby, aren’t you?”
”Yes, but-but not to say you weren’t serious about—“
”No, I know,” Tara quickly said. “I get it. We’re a lot less unserious after our relationship. We just tried it and it was fun be we aren’t meant to be together romantically.”
”That’s the thing, Tara,” I grumbled and finally looked at her. “How do you not get attached? I’m already scarily attached to him. Fuck; I hate him for it too.” She lips curled in a smirk. “Stop fucking looking at me like that.”
”You are so down bad for that man it’s hilarious.”
”What would be hilarious is if you shut the fuck up.”
”Just admit that you love him so much that you would rather never see him again than not be romantic with him.”
”You’re literally putting words in—Do you not hear the words coming out of my mouth?” Tara rolled her eyes at me and I sighed. I settled in my chair.
“I know. I get it, I do.”
”I just don’t know what I’m going to do, Tara. I already fucked up a lot between us whether we pursue each other or not.”
”How come?”
“I basically called him a slut too.”
”You-You what?” She gasped. She choked back a laugh before it burst out of her. “That is the most diabolical thing—“
”I know it was so wrong of me, but I was drunk and terrified.”
”I know.”
”Tara!” I gasped. “He fucks everything that breathes!” The anger stung my gritted teeth and she parted her lips with surprise. “Do you not fucking see it?” I shout in a whisper. “He has a new fucking partner every damn week which-which whatever, that’s fine, but then he texts me the way he does and it’s like he wants to get in my pants too, just for the sake of it!”
”Whoa, how do you text? Give me your phone.”
”No way.”
”You sent him nudes?”
”What? No!” My blush flared hot. She rolled her eyes.
”I’ve known Colby for so long, it’s nothing I haven’t seen.”
”We haven’t fucking—Wait what the fuck does that mean?”
”Jesus Christ, no need to get wound up. I haven’t fucked him; remember Jake used to live with them. I stayed there weeks at a time.” I nodded and handed her my phone. We really didn’t have anything important to hide.
As she read the texts, my heart quickened. Her silence scared me.
”Oh my god,” she gasped. “The damn tension is even worse in text.”
”Give It back,” I spat and stole it from her. “What tension? We’re just friends.”
”Pf, yeah; friends that are able to make any conversation dirty talk. Now stop being a pussy and-and suck his dick or something.“
”Tara!” I cried. I shoved my phone back in my bag. “There’s no way—No! I-I can’t do that.”
”Oh right, you’re so in love with him you want to have sex with him and let him kiss you all gentle—“ Her silly baby voice physically ignited the fiery anger inside of me.
”Seriously,” I spat and held my hand up. “It’s not like that.”
”Oh,” she gasped. “Right, it’s Colby I forgot. He might not like gentle sex.”
”Nor relationships, so let’s stop speaking about something I can’t have.” Tara looked at me as seconds ticked by.
”You do really like him.” I nodded slowly. “If you liked him enough, then what could come of it would be worth risking ever speaking to him the same way again.”
I stared at her wide eyed.
Where did that wisdom come from?
”Potentially.”
“Then talk to him like an adult. And don’t do it when you’re drunk; you disrespect him like that again and he’ll cut you off without you even getting about to suck his—“
”If you’re so obsessed with his dick, why don’t you suck it yourself?” I spat.
”Damn, alright. He’s yours.”
”He’s not mine,” I spat. “If last night was anything to go by.”
”No no,” Tara exasperated. “You literally have it all wrong. He looked so-so enthralled by you, that you’re already his. That’s why it pissed him off so much.”
”He wouldn’t be pissed off if he talked to me like an adult and didn’t fuck other women.”
”Talk to him.”
”You’re acting like you know something.”
”Obviously neither of them talk to me and I supposed neither of them talk to Johnnie or Jake because those two boneheads are clueless as always.” I smiled. “Talk to him. Both of you attitudes are starting to piss me off. I just want to have fun with my best friends without stepping on eggshells.” She sipped her drink.
”I fucking need one of those.”
”It’s a mimosa.”
”I know.”
”You literally were about to throw up.” I rolled my eyes and kicked back in my seat.
”I need to be drunk again.”
“Ma’am, yes ma’am,” she sighed as she eyed down a flight attendant. “Oh, you’re fucking hot by the way.”
”Exuse me?” I choked on nothing.
”Your tattoos are great, and I can’t believe you sent him and underwear pic.” My face burned.
”That was on accident. I was delusional and got out of bed before I was awake at 6am.”
”Yeah, uh-hu. Keep telling yourself that.” And Tara caught the attendant as she passed us.
Between us and the hangovers, it was easy sailing until touchdown.
When we stepped into the airport, my phone rang off the hook with late messages. Of which, Colby was missed. My stomach did that familiar flip at the sight of his name in my messages.
Tumblr media
I stared at my phone wide eyed and breathless, and it must have taken me far too long to get going, because Tara peered over my shoulder.
”Damn, see I told you. He set the stage for you, now speak like an adult.” I looked at her sunglasses covered face. I judged her for looking like a freak wearing Jake’s inappropriately too large hoodie with the hood over the roller in her hair as she wore sunglasses on her face that were big enough to cover a horse’s eyes.
Not like I could judge; I might have been wearing Sam’s hoodie and Colby’s sweatpants with my own sunglasses covering my hangover but that’s neither here nor there.
Tumblr media
“Let’s go,” I told her and we bulldozed our way through the airport and towards whichever fancy hotel Tara picked the month prior.
Tumblr media
And the hotel was very nice.
It was large enough for an entire group to crash in after a night out. The window showed the evening city as night fell, and I wanted nothing more than to curl up in the bed that could easily hold four people. I stared out the window for sometime as Tara got settled in. I could have been thinking about our plans for the morning, where we were going to get—most likely—brunch and where we would go thrifting after, but there I stood in the nicest hotel room in New York City I’ve ever been in thinking about Colby.
I thought to text him now.
I will.
Maybe.
My eyes fell heavy, and it took effort to pull myself from the window.
“Thinking about room service. Forgot to get food before.”
”I know, I was just dreaming about this bed,” I moaned as I collapsed into it.
I fell asleep before Tara got off call with room service.
I woke up when the food came.
”Get up or else I’m eating all this pizza.” I slugged over to sit hip to hip with her as the food sprawled ahead of us.
“I’m beat.”
”And once we eat, we can sleep so long and happy once our bellies are full.” She logged into her Netflix on the TV as I scrolled on my phone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Okay can we eat now, like damn.”
”Sorry,” I laughed as I read the last word he sent, and my phone was tossed to the bedding.
“How much will you text him? This is supposed to be our chilled out work week; emphasis on boyless work week.”
”Yeah I know, I was going to call him after we eat so we can talk about whatever the fuck happened last night.”
”Okay,” she said as she took a bite.
“Then we will be boyless.”
”Good.”
And she was right. My eyes rolled back even more so as the pizza settled in our systems. She got ready for bed as I slid out onto the balcony to talk to Colby. The chilly air was certainly more than enough to prevent me from falling asleep.
”Hi.”
”Hi,” he said back. “How are you feeling?”
”I’m good, better,” I sighed. “It was kind of the worst flight of my life though.”
”That’s what I was worried about. Good thing you made it through.”
”Yeah, hardly though. Tara threatened me and stuffed alcohol wipes in my nose every time I moved.”
”Oh my god,” he laughed. “I felt really bad last night. You were so sick and then Sam was sick—god, he still is—and I was just like, ‘shit, maybe this was a bad idea’ especially after—everything.”
”Yeah, I know. But-But it’s fine; it was fine. I had a good night. Just won’t do it before a five am flight ever again.”
Silence.
”I wanted to talk about last night though, like what happened between us.”
”I know,” I sighed and released the energy. “First I wanted to say sorry for what I said to you; I didn’t mean it and it was really disrespectful. I was so drunk and should have closed my mouth especially since that’s your business anyway. I feel really bad and didn’t mean it.”
”I-I know,” he said not too convincingly. “It—I mean, I get where you’re coming from and alcohol amplified everything.” My eyebrow twinged with question.
”What do you mean ‘where I’m coming from?’”
”I mean—“ He took his time and I bit through the first layer of skin on my lip. “I-I guess it’s no secret I’m not with anyone and don’t—didn’t have any plan to be. I—oh my god—I was going to say I wanted to just have fun, but I’m such a mess it isn’t fun anymore.”
”Why are you such a mess?” My voice was low as if it knew the answer.
”I guess I’m not wanting to be alone but I’m also just not-not wanting to commit or anything.”
”Oh.” I didn’t mean to be so short, and he took a breath to say something quick but I interjected. “Why did you kiss me then? You heard what I said and I did—and still do—mean it. So why did you kiss me like-like you meant it or something?”
”I’m just as confused as you are about it.” I didn’t appreciate the frustration in his tone.
”Oh yeah? What’s so confusing about it, then? I’m not confused.”
“What?” He gasped. I could tell I picked and picked at the seams until he couldn’t keep it back anymore. “You told me I was confusing to you last night. I’m confused as well.”
”I’m not confused about the situation but I’m confused about the damn choices you’re making.”
”Oh yeah? And what choices are those?”
”How every time you look at me I’m trying to decipher whether you want to kiss me but then you don’t and go kiss another girl like usual. I’m not into this whole—this whole yearning thing. I don’t do situationships or adjacent dysfunction, okay? So if you want to kiss me like you did last night, then I’m the only one you’re kissing and that’s what I’m not confused about.”
”You think I don’t want to kiss you like that?” He gasped. My throat clamped together. “If last night was anything to go by, you’d know that I’ve only ever wanted to kiss you like that. But it’s so much more real.”
”How is it so real?” I scoffed. The bitterness flowed from me, and I didn’t hold it back. How could I? There was so much unknowingly built in my chest and it needed to be relieved. “If it were real, you would kiss me. You wouldn’t fuck any other thing that breathes; you would come to me.”
”Jesus fucking—I don’t fuck anyone! Why do you keep saying that?”
Speechless choked me.
”You-You what?”
”I’ve slept with two people all through last year and no one this year, alright? Just because I might have fun or take photos with people doesn’t mean shit. I’ve only slept with—“
”You don’t have to tell me. I’m-I’m not—I trust you.” I didn’t like the way my voice shook, but I sat still in disbelief. Those nasty things I told him—
“Please,” he sighed. “I’m not—I don’t like to fuck around like that. I mean yeah maybe I do, but not like that. Not the amount you think I have. Do you really think so poorly of me?”
”I don’t-I don’t think poorly of anyone who does that, Colby. Especially not you. The thing that ticked me off was how you treated me. I could only think of those girls; did they know that you talked to me like that? Did they like to hook up meaninglessly like that? I didn’t want to be responsible for any messy situation that came of it.”
”And you wouldn’t have,” he said all too sweetly. “It’s my responsibility and I wouldn’t throw you under the bus like that. I mean; if there even were a bus. Every time I would ‘take someone home’ they would just leave in their own Uber and I’d go back with Sam. Or if I went to their house, honestly I would just crash at Jake and Johnnie’s for the night so that Sam could have the house for the night.” I never thought about those things. Unfairly too; I always believed the worst.
I took a lengthy pause. I was still upset. Unsatisfied. So I yanked harder.
”Then why do you loop me into all of this? Why play with me and kiss me just to go back to how we were?”
”Who said I would ever do it?”
”I don’t know!” I burst out. “Maybe it’s because I saw with my own eyes the amount of girls you were with and didn’t know the details. It’s like you wanted me but kept me on edge for fun.”
”That’s not-That’s definitely not what happened or what I was thinking at all.”
”Then what is, Colby? What the fuck are you thinking about me then, because I’m getting fed up and—“
”I’m thinking that if I just got my shit together and-and got over things I was scared of, I could have you and talk to you about how I feel about you.”
”Which is how?”
”God fucking damnit, you’re really making me spell it out, hm?” I shrugged.
”Obviously. I’m not here to fuck around anymore. I like having fun with my friends and I do not like being used and thrown away. I have more self respect than to be fucked over again and again.”
”I wouldn’t do that.”
”And you’ve given me no reason that you wouldn’t or proof that you would do any better.” The phone etched into my palms from the amount of force I used to hold it.
”God fucking—“ He paused and I heard a breath. “You’re so fucking difficult.”
”I’m difficult? You’re putting my through the ringer because you can’t communicate.”
”I can’t communicate? When did you ever tell me that you didn’t like it when I was with other girls?”
”I don’t know maybe because it’s not my fucking place? Jesus Christ, you think I have the audacity to nose my way into your business?”
”Well you’ve fucking nosed your way into every other area of my life.” I dragged in a deep breath.
I saw red. I finally understood what it felt like when people said that.
”Oh yeah? And whose fault is that exactly?”
”It sure as hell isn’t mine.”
”I swear to god! Ugh! You’re so fucking annoying!”
”I’m annoying?” His voice finally raised. “You’re the one who flirts with me and I get the message that you want something but then you tell me ‘oh, no my expectations are so much higher than what you could reach’ and then get mad when I can’t reach them?”
“You haven’t fucking tried!” I finally yelled. “And you’re projecting! I have never given you my expectations for a relationship and yet you still think you can’t reach them, what am I just some selfish bitch to you or something? You haven’t asked or talked to me about anything serious at all! The only thing you know about my personal needs in a relationship is that I’d like for it to be exclusive and serious. I didn’t realize that was just so fucking hard for anyone to give me.”
”Becase you’re looking in the fucking wrong direction!”
I paused for a moment. I licked my dry lips.
”Oh so then you think the problem is you? Because I know having standards—and low ones, might I add—isn’t typically an issue for people.”
”You are—oh my fucking god.” I heard the way his voice grew quieter as he pulled the phone from his ear in frustration. “Maybe—listen to me—Maybe I think you’re looking in the wrong direction because you need someone who can fit your expectations. Not because you’re too much but because I care about you enough to make sure you’re taken care of and not at risk for it blowing up in your face since clearly that’s all I’m good at.”
”Colby,” I gasped.
This was never about my behavior. This wasn’t even about our lack of communication, then.
“When did I ever say I didn’t want you.”
”What?” He spat. “I never said—“
”No, but clearly you think you’re not good enough for me. You don’t know what I want outside of a stable relationship, and that I know you can give me if you try.”
”How do you know that?” His spite was thicker than the words he said.
”I mean-I mean I don’t but you’re smart and clearly you fucking care enough so I supposed you’d figure it out.”
”But that puts you at risk.”
”Fuck!” I yelled. “For as often as you put your physical body at risk with Sam you certainly are against it emotionally. Maybe I know that it’s a risk liking you as much as I do, but maybe it’s one I’m willing to take.”
”But you want—“
”Fucking hell, Colby. I just wanted you!” God it felt so good to say. “I just wanted you without having to worry that one day I wouldn’t be able to see you again because-because if it does blow up, I’m not sure I’ll be able to be friends with you after. That’s how much I care about you and need you.”
He was silent and my own anxiety took the wheel again.
”I-I really liked our friendship and don’t take that lightly; I hope you feel the same way about it—“
”I really do,” he reassured me.
”Then that’s why I didn’t want to be the one to start something more with you. I didn’t want it to blow up—“
”Oh so you wanted me to start it so that whenever it does inevitably blow up, you can blame me?”
”That’s not what I fucking said now, is it Colby? I said—“
”No.” It was so incredibly final that it took center in my stomach like a knife. “I’m not—We’re not doing this.”
”So then that’s it?”
”How much more do you want to lose?” It hit me. He wouldn't be able to go back after that kiss.
”If you think we’ve already lost something, then how bad could it be?”
”I can’t fucking do this right now.”
”Oh come on,” I laughed. “That’s so—That’s such a tap out.”
”No, I’m serious. You’re literally asking me to solidify a relationship with you so that when we break up, it can be my fault.”
”That is not what I’m asking you to do. Like, at all.”
”Yeah? Then what is?”
”I’m asking you to stop being so fucking scared of everything.”
Silence.
”I want you to stop trying to control everything around you all the time. You can’t control how I feel. Stop blaming yourself for things you haven’t even done! I’d never blame you if things didn’t work out between us. But I am blaming you if you keep yourself from me just because you’re scared.”
“I’ve never been so scared of anyone like I’m scared of you.”
”Colby—“
”The way you make me feel is too much. I can’t-I can’t fuck us up. I’d rather you at a safe distance for forever than nowhere near me at all.”
”And if it all blows up, what are we going to do?”
”I can't think about that—“
”No, tell me.”
”I swear,” he laughed.
”Colby, tell me now.”
”I—We’re going to stop speaking. I know that much. I won’t be okay for a long time—“
”What if it all blows up but we just stay together anyway?” He was quiet again as if it was the most confusing thing in the world.
”What-What are you talking about?”
”Things go wrong in relationships all the time. That's why only the people who choose to stay together and work on themselves for the other person last more than 20 years. I don’t understand why a disagreement or argument can derail an entire companionship if they actually care deeply about each other.”
The way he said my name made me forget all the other times my name had been said.
”It’s that much?”
”What?” I asked.
”You actually want me that much?”
”I could.” It was the truth. I did want him—badly—and with time, maybe he could be the only one I would want.
”I think I could let myself want you that much too.”
”Colby, stop saying you’ll ‘let’ yourself. Not everything has to be controlled; literally chill out and let things happen.”
”Okay, okay,” he sighed. I, too, was tired of arguing, and with that sweet tone on his tongue, I wished to sleep cuddled into his side. What a way to begin a month apart from each other. “I trust you.”
”Good. I trust you too.”
It felt like the end of the conversation. I didn’t know where it left us, but we were farther than where we started.
I also trusted the fact that we had much time to think about things before we saw each other again.
”By the way,” he said with that goofy tone that I knew meant something outrageous was brewing in that head. “‘Smash and dash was so fucking funny. If you didn’t literally break my heart in that sentence, I would have cried laughing.”
”Oh my god, shut the fuck up. I have no idea where that came from—“
”It was so good.”
The night was brutal. It took me a second to register the fact that I shivered like my life depended on it.
“Colby,” I mumbled. “I care about you a lot, and maybe that’s why I’m so-so protective, or something, of what—or of how I feel. I didn’t want to stress you into something you didn’t want, and I didn’t—I don’t know—I don’t want to see you scared or in pain.”
“I know, I know. I care about you as well which is why I tried to get rid of my confusion and frustration in some way because I didn’t want to hurt you or not be enough for you. It—All of this is a lot, and I’m not ready for it.”
”Maybe we won’t be,” I sighed. My breath piled in front of me. “We can wait.”
”Yeah,” he agreed.
”I’m so sorry but I’m literally—I’m outside because Tara’s in there and it’s so fucking cold so I was going—”
”Oh my god, yeah go inside.”
”Okay.” I stood up. “I’ll talk to you tomorrow.”
”Okay, also, thanks for talking. You can be—god—you’re so fucking pushy and you never back down.”
“And you’re so damn combative it’s hard to not fight with you.”
”No one usually fights me, they leave or, I don’t fucking know, listen to what I say.”
”Ha!” I burst out laughing. “That’s so funny. I only listen to myself. I like you a lot, okay? So I’m going to fight back if you sound like an idiot.”
”And you sound like a spoiled bitch who always gets her way.”
”No,” I dragged out. “I just do this thing called thorough communication, and I never sacrifice the things I value just because some boy wants to fuck me.”
”Whoa,” Colby gasped. “I never expected you to sacrifice anything.” I laughed as my face heated up.
”Oh okay maybe so, but you want to fuck me then?”
“We are not talking about that right now.”
“Oh come on, you could have just said no.”
”And now you sound like the idiot.”
”Whatever, I’m going inside so I don’t have to freeze my ass off anymore.”
”You do that. I’m getting food then sleeping another ten hours.”
”Okay good,” I smiled. “Bye.”
”Bye.”
Even when I curled up in my bed happy and content and warm as I could be, I still shook to my core.
And it wasn’t from the winter air.
I woke up to the sound of an alarm, and Tara sitting up to turn it off.
”Why?” I complained. “Why so early?”
”It’s literally nine am. Let’s get up and get ready.”
”Fine,” I grumbled. I stretched so hard that I nearly missed what she said.
”I was asleep by the time you came in last night, what did you and Colby talk about for so long?”
”Honestly? We just argued the entire time but we’re fine now.”
”What?” She laughed. “What did you fight about?”
”Colby’s personal bullshit. Also, we may or may not date; we aren’t sure.”
”That is literally the most you and Colby thing I’ve ever heard,” Tara laughed as she got up. ”You guys are so exclusively not exclusive.”
”And you are so already breaking your rule for having a boyless trip.” She smiled at me as she pulled her glasses on.
”You’re right. Now get ready; we have bagels to eat and thrift stores to infiltrate.”
The day ended as fast as it came, and when we woke up the next morning, we decided to stay in and have a self care day instead of walking because our legs cramped.
I don’t remember another time my mind emptied of stress and worries about work, scheduling, and recording. Maybe we filmed a few videos, and maybe we vlogged, and maybe we met up with friends for a video, but it was a week of my life that my job melted into a privileged everyday life rather than a literal job.
After Tana and Brooke showed up, it was time for a little less self care to say the least.

He didn't respond.
“You’re breaking the law.” I looked up to Tara who sat on the edge of the bed talking to Brooke. I leaned against the head board and dropped my phone to the sheets.
”What are you talking about?”
“See, I didn’t know if you were or not but you just gave yourself away.”
”What law do we have this week?” Brooke asked.
”No speaking about or texting or calling males this week.” Brooke’s eyes rounded and snapped to mine.
”Who were you texting?”
”N—“
”Colby,” Tara sighed.
”Okay, that’s great. Thank you so much for letting that cat out of the bag.” Then Brooke’s eyes widened.
”Am I not supposed to know?”
”No,” I sighed and scooted closer to them. I stole a gummy worm from the bag in between them. “It’s a situationship I fear.”
”Oh I see,” Brooke laughed as a smirk pulled on her rosy lips.
“And it’s becoming a situation for all of us because you keep texting him.”
”You should be glad we aren’t at each other’s throats anymore.”
”I don’t know if you two being at each other’s throats is as bad as being down them anymore—“
”Oh my god, Tara, no. That’s-That’s too far.”
”Yeah, mhm,” she sighed with raised eyebrows. Tana came from the bathroom. “It’s almost like you were the one who went too far with him first.”
”Who’s him?”
”Colby,” Brooke replied to Tana faster than anyone could think.
”Oh,” Tana said as she looked at me up and down. “Honestly that checks out. Is this new?”
”As of three days ago,” I sighed. My head met my hand as if I massaged a headache.
”It’s actually been a nine month long languished yearning slow burn from both of them but apparently Colby has trust issues and she’s just too cut throat for him.”
”Tara,” I spat. “You are just full of it today aren’t you?”
”Yes, now I understand how everyone else felt when Jake and I first started dating and I’m getting flashbacks so I’m snappy.”
”Clearly.”
”You both are breaking your own law,” Brooke intervened.
”That’s true,” I said to Tara with eyebrows raised.
”What law?”
”No speaking about men on this trip,” Brooke told Tana to which Tana laughed, of course.
”I am a felon.”

Group projects were the least of your favorite assignments at the university. In fact, you always spoke with the professor in advance to work alone on alternate projects, but your plea fell through this time.
While your classmates searched for possible candidates, you sat at your desk. The mere thought of interacting with another human being gets you on edge. You picked up your items and prepared to leave class when two boys approached you with genuine smiles on their faces.
Coriolanus Snow and Sejanus Plinth. You’ve seen them on campus.
Sejanus was loaded. From his perfectly tailored suit to his polished shoes, it was obvious. Next to the tall brunette, Coriolanus Snow, with his pristine suit, which you can assume was pressed because there were no wrinkles,
You adjusted your satchel. “Can I help you two?”
“Yeah, actually, we were wondering if you wanted to be our partners on the project." Sejanus says in a soft tone, “I know it’s not something you normally do, but we’ll make sure you feel comfortable.”
Coriolanus nods along to Sejanus’s words, “We’ll do more than just add our names to the group project.”
“Fine,” you reply, accepting defeat. “I’m only doing this because it’s required by Professor Click."
The sun was barely dipping below the horizon as you stood in front of Sejanus’s front door.
You were hesitant to knock because your stomach was overflowing with nerves.
But why? They’re just vain people. You were only here to finish the project, then you can go back to your normal life.
Before you could make your presence known, the blonde boy had answered the door with a knowing smirk. He had watched your skittish nature through Sejanus’s security cameras and decided to put your overthinking thoughts at bay.
“Come in." Coriolanus steps aside to invite you into Sejanus’s home. “Do you want anything? Ma’s food is delicious.”
You shake your head and say, “I’m okay. Where’s Sejanus?”
“In his room,” Coriolanus replies, shutting the front door. "He's already brainstormed some ideas, if that’s okay with you.”
You follow Coriolanus up the grand stairs, admiring the family photos that line up the walls. There were pictures of young Sejanus, his parents, and some candids of him and Coriolanus.
He chuckles. “Sej and I grew up together. His family took me in.”
“That’s nice,” you whisper softly, embarrassed that you were caught staring. “Um, we’re getting close, right?"
As if on cue, Coriolanus rests his lean frame in the doorway. There were academic achievements hung on Sejanus’s walls, along with polaroids of him and Coriolanus.
His bedroom consisted of neutral colors. Strangely enough, it was very Sejanus. From his desk to his bed, it was organized. There wasn’t a hint of mess in sight.
“They’re here,” Coriolanus says. “Shall we?”
It took you a second to register that Coriolanus was talking to you. You hated the way your cheeks heated up as you realized you were distracted by soaking in the details of Sejanus’s room. Fuck.
What’s wrong with you?
Were you starting to become attracted to them? If that’s the case, what if you staged an intervention?
Coriolanus places a cold hand on your shoulder. “Do we intimidate you, darling?”
”Don’t scare her, Coryo,” Sejanus warned his friend. “We have a project to finish.”
You wish you could bury yourself right now. The slight flirtatious tone from Coriolanus was enough to make your head spin.
“Fine.” Coriolanus removes his hand. “What are we working on first?”
You were disappointed that Coriolanus’s touch was no longer there. You immediately sit on the edge of Sejanus’s bed to distract yourself with your laptop.
You tried to focus on typing out the possible ideas that the boys were spewing out for the project, but your focus was elsewhere.
You were beginning to picture what it would be like to be fucked by the two of them. Were they rough?
Would they be gentle with you? What were they into?
Your thoughts were running a mile a minute, failing to realize Sejanus was calling out your name. You felt Coriolanus’s thumb on your chin, pulling you out of your trance.
The blonde smirks, “If you want to get a good grade on the assignment, darling, I suggest that you pay attention. You don’t want to endure Miss Click’s wrath."
You tried to open your mouth to speak, but nothing came out. You hated the effect Coriolanus had on you, and you’re certain that the blonde knew what was soaking up your attention. Why did they have to partner up with you for the group assignment?
“Sej,” Coriolanus turns his head, his thumb on your chin, “I think we need to teach our partner a lesson on paying attention. Don’t you think so?”
You scoff, “Not by rich assholes.”
You can feel Coriolanus’s hand tighten around your chin at your words, forcing you to look at him when he’s reprimanding you. You noticed his bright blue eyes were clouded with lust.
“Tell us what you were thinking about, darling.”
Coriolanus left you no room to argue. He was going to make you eat your words, whether you liked them or not. When he looked at his best friend sitting at his desk, he noticed how nervous Sejanus was.
Sejanus preferred to respect women. On the other hand, Coriolanus liked to teach them a lesson until their tears were running down their pretty faces. It made Coriolanus’s heart swell with pride after the girls he fucked quickly learned their place with him.
Sejanus sighs, “I don’t want us to fail, Coryo.”
The tall blonde could care less about failing. They had enough money to pay off Miss Click, but Ma Plinth wouldn’t approve of such a thing. Coriolanus didn’t let the dear woman know all the atrocities he committed with Sejanus. After all, they were still her “babies."
“Sej, she’s clearly enjoying this.” Coriolanus said, a dark undertone in his voice.
“I am not!” You try to defend your integrity, but your damp panties say otherwise. “God, you two are full of it. You’re so far up your fortune’s ass that it has made your skull thick. I bet your parents paid off the headmaster to get you two in there.”
Coriolanus smirked, “Oh, darling, I think you’re just pissed off because you want us.”
Before the brunette could say anything, Coriolanus already had you pressed against the mattress with his body.
His fingers grazed your inner thigh, finding the hem of your skirt. He pushes it over your thighs, finding a damp patch on the front of your pink panties. He finds it all amusing.
Did you wear the pastel pink set just for them?
“You’re getting turned on by rich assholes, isn’t that right?” Coriolanus mocked you.
Sejanus’s gaze landed on you and Coriolanus. He didn’t have it in himself to look away, his hard cock straining against his sweatpants.
You attempt to feign innocence by saying, “Not by you two.”
Coriolanus yanks your pants to your knees, his fingers smearing your arousal all over your pussy.
You gasp at his sudden touch against your pussy, bucking your hips to gain more friction. Coriolanus had other plans with you, though. He motioned for Sejanus to pin your hips to the mattress.
The brunette’s warm hands secured your hips for Coriolanus. He couldn’t tear his eyes away from the way his best friend teased your aching clit.
Sejanus is almost envious of the way your arousal coated Coryo’s fingers. He slides two fingers along your weeping folds, wrapping his mouth around your juices that glistened with your arousal.
You bury your face into Sej’s bedsheets, refusing to watch what they were doing to you.
The obscene sounds coming from your pussy were enough to make you severely embarrassed.
Coryo’s fingers found your jaw, making you watch him slide a finger past your warm walls. You emitted a soft moan when his finger stretched out your pussy deliciously.
“You’re such a fucking whore,” Coryo growls, speeding up his finger. “You’re this wet from thinking about getting fucked by us, huh? Repeat after me, or you’re not going to like what I’m going to do to you.”
You grasp onto Coryo’s arms and say, “Yes! I wanted you guys to fuck me.”
Coriolanus seemed pleased with your response because Sejanus’s fingers left your hips. You were about to protest when Sejanus’s fingers rubbed your neglected clit. Your eyes fall shut due to the overwhelming pleasure, your hips bucking against their ministrations.
Your mind was reeling from the pleasure you were receiving from them.
Coriolanus took advantage of your pleasure-induced state and stilled his fingers.
“Let her enjoy this, Coryo,” Sej pleads. “We’ve both wanted her for so long.”
Coryo rolls his eyes and says, “She’s been a brat.”
You hate that Coriolanus has reduced you to this. A mess for two rich, attractive men. However, you will stay on Coryo’s good side because Sejanus looked so desperate to have you. You feel Coryo’s fingers resume their assault, curling them upwards to hear your pretty sounds.
You cry out when the blonde doesn’t let up.
Sejanus’s lips find your soft ones, swallowing your sounds. He pushes the material of your bralette to your midriff, his big hands kneading your breasts, while Coriolanus wraps his lips around your clit.
It’s humiliating how quickly your orgasm was approaching, your legs closing around Coryo’s head. With the blonde's relentless thrusts with his fingers and his lips on your cunt, you didn’t have time to warn the two of them.
You writhed in Coryo’s hold, “Fuck!"
Your juices coated Coriolanus’s lips, fingers, and chin. You didn’t miss the slight smug smirk on Coryo’s face, lifting himself off of the bed to tap his finger against Sej’s lips.
The muscular boy is surprised, but he obliges. He closes his lips around Coryo’s fingers, his eyelids fluttering shut as the taste of your orgasm bursts on his tongue.
Coriolanus suddenly replaced his fingers with his lips against Sej’s warm, plump ones. It’s messy.
There was saliva dripping down their chins as their teeth clashed. Coryo can’t help the years of pining he had for Sej, afraid of ruining their friendship. He finally got him, and he wasn’t letting Sejanus out of his sight.
Once they pulled away, Coryo wrenched your jaw open with his hand. He spat into your mouth.
Coriolanus watched as their saliva was swallowed.
“Good girl," Coryo grins. “Turn her around for me, Sej.”
Sejanus flipped you onto your stomach with gentle hands, watching as Coriolanus quickly got rid of his clothes.
He’d be lying to himself if he hadn’t thought about what his friend’s cock looked like.
It’s long, pale pink, with a flushed tip that’s dribbling with pre-cum. Sejanus had a strong desire to suck him off, but that can wait.
Deciding to put his fears aside, he wrapped a hand around the base of Coryo’s cock. Sejanus spat into his hand, sliding his hand up and down Coryo’s soft shaft.
You decided to let them both have their moment.
Sejanus guides Coryo’s tip into your leaking hole, slowly pushing him inside. He can feel himself get hard at the sound of his friend’s groans when your tight walls flutter around his cock.
The sight is dizzying. The muscular boy’s cock is hard when he sees your previous orgasm form a ring of your arousal around the base of Coryo’s cock. He couldn’t help himself when it came to his desires. The sounds Coryo was making, his pretty cock, and his pale body just begging to be marked up—Sejanus had to fuck him.
Sejanus cupped Coryo’s face and said, “I want to fuck you.”
You noticed something shifting in the room between Sejanus and Coriolanus. There was a brief moment of mutual interest.
“Okay,” Coriolanus breathed. “Be gentle, alright?”
The brunette nods, pressing a chaste kiss against Coryo’s shoulder. Sejanus lets his spit dribble along Coriolanus’s puckered ass, causing the boy in front of him to bury his face into your neck.
He takes this as a sign to slowly work him open for his cock. Sejanus noticed how tight Coryo was, and he’s patient enough to fuck his ass once his friend gives him the green light.
You had an arm wrapped around his neck as Coryo whimpered into your skin, his hips bucking into your pussy as Sejanus scissored his fingers in his pretty ass.
Sejanus rubbed his hips soothingly. “Move for me?”
Coriolanus nodded quickly, setting a steady pace to ease the mild discomfort from Sejanus working him open for his cock. Your fingers found their way into Coryo’s platinum curls, gently tugging him down to meet his lips once more.
Once the blonde smashed his lips against yours in a searing kiss, instantly melting into your touch as he began to bully his cock into you, the way Sej is preparing him so delicately makes him eager for him.
Once the brunette saw the first few signs of bliss on Coryo’s face, he added a second finger.
“Fuck,” Coriolanus gasped brokenly. “Sej, please. I need—"
Sejanus knew what his friend wanted. Instead, he opted to fuck him with his fingers until a little plea fell from Coriolanus’s lips. He pumped his fingers again, angling them to find his prostate.
Sejanus’s free hand smacked Coryo’s ass. “Say it.”
Coryo gripped your hips; his voice was strained. “I need your cock, Sej.”
The brunette hummed in satisfaction, pushing his sweatpants down until they pooled around his knees.
Sejanus slowly pushed the leaky head of his cock into Coryo’s hole.
He groaned, his face pressed against Coriolanus’s pale back. Sejanus is gripping his friend’s hips like it’s his life line because of Coryo’s ass gripping his cock like a goddamn vice. He stills for a moment to hold back on cumming inside of Coriolanus.
Coriolanus is fucking you with reckless abandon.
You’re whining into Coryo’s shoulder as he drills his cock into you. The obscene noises are driving you to your second orgasm of the evening. You can tell it’s affecting Coriolanus because he hasn’t removed his face from your neck.
Once the brunette’s hips met Coriolanus’s ass, he began to move carefully. The last thing he wants to do is hurt Coryo, but the blonde is pushing his ass back against him. He released a guttural groan as he matched Coriolanus’s pace.
“I’m going to cum,” Coryo moans breathily, his fingers finding your puffy clit. “Come on, pretty girl.”
You gasped when he rubbed your sensitive clit. Coryo leaned down to latch his lips onto your nipple. “Cum for me, baby. Don’t you want to be a good girl for Sej and me?”
You gush onto Coriolanus’s cock, your head falling back onto the mattress.
The blonde was still fucking you through your own orgasm, chasing his own as Sejanus continued to pound into his ass.
You try to move away from him due to your recent orgasm, but it is no use against Coryo’s firm grip.
You cry out, “Coryo! I can’t—it’s too much.”
Coriolanus dug his fingernails into your hips. “You can do it for me, baby. Are you going to help Sej make me cum, huh?"
You nodded vigorously, your chin tightening around his cock at his words.
“Sej, please,” Coryo groans desperately. “You don’t need to be gentle with me right now.”
You really wished he hadn’t said that, because with every thrust of Sejanus, he was bringing you closer to another orgasm.
When the tip of Sejanus’s cock grazed Coriolanus’s prostate, the blonde kept muttering profanities into your chest. There was drool spilling onto your skin from the way Sejanus was fucking into Coriolanus’s sensitive spot.
Coryo fisted the sheets and said, “Fuck, Sej! I’m gonna—”
He had come into your pussy, some of it pooling on Sej’s bedsheets. Coriolanus slumped against your clammy skin, nuzzling his face into your collarbone.
Not long after Coryo’s orgasm, Sejanus had come inside Coriolanus's ass. A smug grin on his face.
“I like you too, idiot,” Sej says as he gently pulls out of Coryo, pecking his shoulder again. “We’ll need to talk about this later, though.”
As the brunette collapses onto his bed, he notices the way your eyes are shut in bliss while Coryo is on top of you. His heart swells. Sejanus could get used to this sight.
Coriolanus looks up, mumbling, “Sej?”
“Hm?” Sejanus’s eyes meet Coryo’s icy ones. “Do you need anything?”
“I want to be in a relationship with you, Sej,” Coryo admits, grinning playfully. “I’ve always wanted you.”
Sej pecks Coryo’s lips. “We’ll all have a discussion, okay? I promise."
“Not to ruin the moment," you giggle. “But can you two get a room?”

it didn’t take much begging for you to convince satoru to go stargazing with you. after being together for a little over a year, it’s one of the only dates you’d always dreamed of that he hadn’t realized already.
“it’s gonna be hot isn’t it” he pouted and you smiled, watching as he slipped a white t shirt on.
“it’s summer, what do you think?” you teased, giddy as you continued to curate the playlist on your phone.
“i cant believe four seasons have passed with you already” he sighs, a bit dreamy as he takes a seat next to you on the bed, resting his chin on your shoulder and pressing a soft kiss to your cheek.
“time really does fly huh?” you smiled, fondly recalling numerous memories from the past year. “remember when you set that picnic up for our first date and we got rained on” you giggled, satoru’s face flushed at the memory. even a year later he was mortified.
“stop that was so embarrassing! it was so sunny i didn’t think it’d rain” he whined, nuzzling his head into your neck, “cant believe you went on a second date with me after that mess” he smiled.
he remembers the soggy sandwiches and all too sticky candies, the way your hair was absolutely ruined as the rained poured down on the two of you, drenched to the bone when you reached the car.
“i thought it was kinda sweet how you tried to protect me from the rain” you smiled, the image of the then frazzled satoru coming to mind.
an hour later the two of you find yourselves in the car, satoru putting the very same picnic basket in the back seat, filled to the brim with food and blankets. he’s settling into the drivers seat and you rattle off items you made sure to not forget, smiling when he tells you everything’s there.
satoru had never gone stargazing. he can only recall looking at the sky after battles and thinking of how dark and lonely it was. glimmering stars miles and miles away from him. vague memories of times he’d brushed too close to death, laying on the ground and twinkling stars mocking him as his breathing became more shallow.
and now here he is, sitting with you on his car hood as the sun sets, the sky didn’t feel dark and lonely anymore.
there’s warm colors all around him, from the pinks and reds of the sky to the sage t shirt you were wearing. your smile felt warm as you complimented his sandwich, claiming ‘it must’ve been the love’ which he made it with to make it taste so good.
it’s twenty minutes after the sun had set when he realizes it’s blue hour, turning to you with a smile, “guess what hour it is” he grins, eyes sparkling as you immediately pick up his cues.
“blue hour!” you smile, giggling as the two of you break into song, laughing when one of you messes the lyrics up, blaming the other for singing too late.
a year ago he would’ve glanced at the outside, seen the blue hues painting the world and gone about his day. now he sees it and smiles, giddy anytime he reads ‘5:53’ on a clock. memories of the first time you told him it was ‘blue hour’ flashing in his mind, he didn’t really understand exactly what that implied but he shared your excitement either way, only later asking you what it meant.
your snacks are long gone when the stars begin to peek out from the dark blanket of the sky, twinkling ever so slightly when you look up.
“oh they’re so pretty!” you gush, a smile painting your features as you lean onto satoru, laughing when he tries to come up with new constellations.
“that’s the Big Dipper, that much I’m sure of” he states, a bit upset he didn’t have more knowledge to woo you with.
“i think that’s the Little Dipper” you laugh, taking his hand and pointing at the constellation a bit further, “that’s the Big Dipper.”
Gojo’s eyes are peeling away from the sky, instead looking at you, as if you held the stars in your very being. he’s humming in agreement as you make a comment about the stars, some insane fact you read about the other day. he’s hanging on your every word, savoring every passing second that he’s by your side.
when he looks up at the sky, the stars no longer mock him when they twinkle. instead it felt as if they were cheering for him, dancing for joy because he finally found someone to love with every fiber of his being.
your head is resting on his chest as the two of you lay down, soft conversation flowing easily, gasping when you both see a shooting star.
your eyes squeeze closed, your mind racing as you come up with what to wish for.
satoru’s eyes stay open, landing softly on you. his mind doesn’t race and he knows immediately what he wants. he wants to be with you for the as long as he could, to fall deeper and deeper in love with you. he wants four more passing seasons with you, and four after that, and after that, and after that.
he’s carrying your now sleeping body out of the car and into his home, placing you on the couch while he unloads the car. he wakes you gently to get you changed, smiling fondly at your sleepy state, brushing his teeth alongside you and smiling when you yawn as soon as your head hits the pillow.
“gnight toru” you mumble, “today was perfect” you smile, a bit sleepy as you cuddle closer to your lover.
“goodnight sweets” he smiles, pressing a kiss to your forehead, warmth encasing his body the closer to him you moved.
a year later it’s all satoru can think about as you’re closing the picnic basket, a smile on your face as you ask your lover if he’s ready to go.
he nods as you smile, the same glint of excitement in your eyes as you did a year ago, the same playlist with new additions playing as you drive out to the country side. the same stars the two of you visit ever so often awaiting the two of you with warmth.

[̲̅B][̲̅l][̲̅o][̲̅s][̲̅s][̲̅o][̲̅m]
aahauahausagusha i feel like this sucks but ill post it anyways also reader is based off this post cuz i rlly like the idea sooooo.....also they're a hopeless romantic and so is gojo so what do u get when you get two hopeless romantics together? lovey dovey sappy shit<33 anyways enough of my yapping here's the fic.
Tumblr media
Yellow lotus flowers symbolizes curiosity, openness, and hospitality.
Gojo Satoru was the strongest sorceror in the modern era. That much is true, but there are stong people out there, Okkotsu, Maki, Nanami…the list goes on. But they're all Grade 1 sorcerors, Satoru was one of the 4 Special Grade sorcerors. He was sure, but as it turned out there was a 5th one. Satoru would meet him soon.
White tulips symbolize warmth, trust, and fresh starts.
Satoru wasn't at all surprised that the higher ups were calling him, but what did surprise him was the urgency they held, when he arrived at their location and escorted in he realized why. The amount of cursed energy in the room was immense, much much more than Yuta's, but he also noticed something else, the person who had the crazy amount of cursed energy, your features were doll-like but also realistic, like those Disney shows where the main character is shown as "ugly" but when in the right clothes with the right colors they look almost unreal. Now, Satoru himself never had that but he couldn't deny that you were attractive. The hideous voices of the higher ups broke Satoru out of his trance. He reminded himself why he was here, after a good 5 hours in the wretched room he walked out with a new companion by his side. He turned to the shorter man:
"Hey you wanna eat?" "Hell yeah."
Satoru decided it'd be best to walk to a cafe instead of bugging Ijichi who was accompanying Itadori and Megumi on a "field trip" (they're fighting their ass off). The cute guy with him was yapping animatedly motioning with their hands, Satoru felt himself loosen up in his presence, it felt great to be able to talk to someone like this after being around dark and brooding people (excluding Panda and Itadori). He laughed at something you said as you both entered the cafe, it was small and had cats which perfectly catered your interests, a white fur blue eyed cat trotted up to you and meowed, you cooed and bent down to pick him up, his fur was soft and his meows were so cute!! You rubbed the spot behind his ears as he purred. Satoru felt a slight tinge of jealousy, it didn't help that the cat looked like him, "Come on let's go sit," he leads you to a two seat couch, you sit down and place the cat on your lap, you noticed a metal name tag on his collar it read: Takayuki, he nuzzled himself into your lap and meowed. However Satoru tore your attention away by asking for your order, "Oh maybe uhhhh a vanilla frappuccino?" Satoru nodded and asked, "Anything else?" You shook your head and he went back to looking at the menu. Suddenly you felt the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, something was off. You glanced at the door and you knew why, standing there was a man with long black hair and priest robes, you recognized those stitches across his forehead, it was someone you'd met when they were in a different body, you remember the gross liquids that flowed down the body's head when he took off the stitches, the body he took was someone who was close to you, a childhood friend. You only remember him asking you to take care and to remember him for when they met in the future, you turned to Satoru who'd also seen him but there was something in his eyes, a glimmer of recognition. Perhaps it was the body Kenjaku was using? Satoru grabbing your wrist broke you out of your stupor, his grip was a bit tight but you understood why. He rushed you out, scaring Takayuki on your lap, as you ran past Kenjaku you noticed he was staring at you with a cunning smile. You felt the paranoia rise in you as a million thoughts ran through your head at what Kenjaku is doing and why?
Aconites represent solitude and the rejection of others. Giving this flower to someone is said to represent saying Leave me.

“Isn’t the whole point of lingerie like, you being surprised?” You furrow your eyebrows at Jaemin. “Plus, what if someone sees you with me?”
“You know we’re still friends in real life, right?” Jaemin chuckles as he walks into the store behind you.
“Male friends don’t usually go with female friends to try on underwear, Jaem,” you remind him, eyes already snagging on a few pieces you like.
“I’m a man, and you need a man’s opinion. Sounds simple enough to me.”
You snort in response.
“It’s not complicated at all, Princess. Plus, I paid them to close the store for two hours so you could find whatever you’d like.” His tone is so nonchalant, you almost miss what he actually said.
“You paid them for what?” Your jaw drops. “Jaemin, what the hell? What if they know who you are?”
“Money solves all problems,” he says. “Stop worrying. The clock is ticking and if I don’t see you at least 90% naked, I’m gonna make you 100% naked in the middle of the store.”
Your cheeks suddenly burn like you’re on fire. There’s not an ounce of humor in his voice.
“While you’re at it,” he pauses briefly, almost like he has to come to terms with what he’s about to say next, “find something Chenle would like, too.”
No way in hell today is happening. It’s completely possible you’re dreaming right now, because Na Jaemin just told you to pick out lingerie sets to wear for him and your other fuck buddy. It’s only been a week since you took both of them at once. Things seemed fairly normal after that—as in, they went back to having completely separate relationships with you.
“Didn’t know you thought of me with Chenle a lot,” you mutter, looking anywhere but at Jaemin.
“At first it was a little bit of an ego shot.” Jaemin’s honesty almost knocks you off your feet. “But it feels normal now. And I’m not going to buy you lingerie to wear for me and not think of the way Chenle has bent you over every surface of your house.”
“Jaem—“
“I never realized how turned on I’d get at the idea of watching you get fucked by someone else. You were so overwhelmed, Princess. It was sexy.” He runs his fingers through his hair, chest rising. “Pick some out for him, too.”
You clear your throat, trying your best to pretend his simple words didn’t have heat swarming inside you. If the offer was on the table, you’d take them both again. The pleasure was unlike anything you’d ever felt before, and you swear you can still feel it tingling inside you at the mere thought of them.
Jaemin prefers lighter colors. Pinks, whites, baby blues. He likes feigned innocence and purity, fabric that left little to the imagination but still covered you enough to leave him some joy in unwrapping you.
And even though you hadn’t ever dressed in lingerie for Chenle, you have a feeling you know what he likes. Blacks, reds, deep, royal blue. For him, you couldn’t really convince yourself he’d like anything more than he likes seeing you naked.
You pick out four to try on. There’s only one that might spark something for Chenle, but you aren’t completely sure. Jaemin would help you decide.
You head over to the fitting rooms, giving Jaemin a wide-eyed glance when he tries to follow you. The worker stops him.
“Sorry, sir, I can’t let you go in there.” She holds up her hand.
“Ah.” With a sigh, he reaches into his pocket for his wallet. He opens it and grabs a wad of cash, holding it out to the woman. “I don’t even think I’m really here right now.”
Reluctantly, she takes it from him and disappears toward the front of the store. You should scold him for doing something like that, but you can’t help but like it much more than you should.
Jaemin leads you into the room by the small of your back, closing and locking the door behind you. You’re not sure what to expect from him. There’s plenty of space to move around, and he sits on the bench on the far side of the room. You stand between him and the mirror, the skimpy shreds of fabric clutched to your chest.
“You want me to just…”
“Yep.” He grins, raising his eyebrows. “I’ve seen it all, baby.”
“It’s different in this context. What if they look bad on me?” You frown at him.
He scoffs. “(Y/N), in no world are any of those gonna look bad. You’re so sexy, you make me hard no matter what you’re wearing.”
You won’t lie—he boosts your confidence way more than you should allow. If Na Jaemin is calling you sexy, you have to be, right?
“Try Chenle’s on first. We’ll send him a picture.” Jaemin pulls his phone out of his pocket and winks. “Think he’s busy?”
You pull your shirt over your head. “He said he was recording with Donghyuck and Renjun today.”
“Let’s make his day a little harder, huh?” He chuckles to himself, leaning back against the wall as he watches you strip.
His gaze drinks in every inch of your bare skin as you remove the rest of your clothing. You try to ignore the dark look in his eyes once you’re fully naked, really try, but everything he does makes you crave him beyond belief.
The royal blue fabric is intense, despite the lack of material. It’s completely sheer, displaying your already peaked nipples without even a smidge of coverage.
“Fuck,” Jaemin mumbles, shifting forward. “You look so fucking good.”
“I don’t know about that.” You let out a small laugh.
“C’mere. We’ll ask Chenle.” He spreads his legs, and you already know what he wants you to do.
“Jaem…”
“Baby,” he whines. “Come get on your knees and let me show him. You didn’t mind both of us at the same time last week.”
You do as he asks, kneeling in front of him and placing your palms on your knees. Gulping, you patiently wait as he positions his phone to take the photo.
“You look so good,” he says, wetting his lips. “Wanna do one more pose for him?”
Against your better judgment, you nod.
“Put your ass up.” It’s not a suggestion.
You listen, turning around and sliding your chest against the floor. The hardwood is cold on your skin, but Jaemin’s sharp inhale makes you undeniably warm. With a burst of confidence, you spread your legs a but further, knowing you’re giving him a clear view of your pussy.
Jaemin grips your ass while he takes the picture.
“Okay, baby. Get one of the other ones. Hurry, or I’ll have to fuck you in this one before Chenle does.”
Blushing, you get up and grab the pink one you picked out. You barely have time to get it all the way on when Jaemin’s phone buzzes once, twice, three times.
He looks at the screen and chuckles. “Chenle’s mad at me. He said he wants to, and I quote, rip that flimsy fabric off of her and fuck her stupid.”
You’re so weak when it comes to them. Jaemin glances up at you, a dark look in his brown eyes.
“My God, look at you.” He clicks his tongue. “Should we keep playing with him? I think so.”
“We can’t stay here all day,” you warn him. “We’ve already been here for an hour.”
“Okay, I’ll give you the choice then.” He sighs. “You can suck my cock or you can get fucked while I send videos of us to Chenle.”
“This isn’t real.” You laugh, smacking your palm to your forehead. “Jaemin, we’re in public!”
“This is a closed room,” he replies.
His gaze rakes over your body.
“We’ll buy that one, too. Put the white one on and pick an option.”
Your logic doesn’t work when you’re around Jaemin. He offers to fuck you and you melt into a puddle immediately no matter where you are or what you’re doing. Your body knows he doesn’t stop until you’ve finished, and now you crave release.
“We gotta be fast, babe.” He unbuttons his pants as you put the white set on. “Please, please pick getting fucked. I’ve been so hard this whole time.”
If you’re going to commit to this, you’ll act the part, too. You put on the best seductive face you can, moving slowly over to him until you’re standing between his legs.
“I’m buying you all of these,” he mutters, shaking his head. “Too fucking sexy.” He turns you around so you’re facing the mirror, his fingers trailing up your bare sides and sneaking under the white lace.
You gasp when he yanks you down onto his lap, hands resting on your hips. He chuckles lowly, kissing from your shoulder to your jawline.
“What are you doing?” you ask breathlessly, eyes nearly rolling when his touch ghosts along your inner thighs.
“Just making sure you’re ready for me.” He squeezes your leg.
“I’m ready.” You grind down the best you can, living for the way he hums in response.
He releases you, allowing you to stand up while he pushes his jeans down. Reaching into his boxers, he pulls himself out of his boxers, stroking a couple times before he beckons for you to join him. You climb over him and make sure to face the mirror while you straddle him. The uncomfortable plastic of the bench digs into your knees, but as Jaemin slides the thin fabric covering your heat aside, you don’t even think of it.
“God,” he groans when he slides a finger along your entrance. “You must fucking love the thought of both of us, don’t you?”
“You might like it a little more than me,” you tease him.
You barely get the sentence out before he’s guiding his throbbing cock into you. Once he’s fully inside, every word you considered saying next has disappeared, and all that’s left is how good he feels. The stretch is a little harder to take without foreplay, but he allows you time to adjust.
“Princess,” he mutters against your ear. “You brought him into this. I’m being good and sharing, is that not what you want? Because I can just as easily keep you for myself.”
You lift yourself up with his guidance, moaning when he thrusts up to meet you on the way back down. He inhales sharply, grabbing his phone.
“Keep going,” he commands.
It’s hard to move in this position, so you’re not able to ride him the way you usually would, but the lack of mobility sends more wetness to your core. You’re desperate to take all of him. Focusing on his pleasure, you ignore the ache forming in your thighs.
His hand travels over the expanse of your stomach, and from the way you see him holding his phone in the mirror, you know he’s recording. You try your best to move faster, wanting to give the recipient of the video that much more material. He finds your clit rubbing it just enough to have you moan loudly and jolt your hips before he stops.
He drops his head against the wall, ending the recording and sending it to Chenle.
“How does it feel, Princess?” he asks, touch dancing along your collarbone. The soft fabric of his sweatshirt presses into your back, and you wish more than anything you could feel his bare skin against yours. He gives your throat a quick squeeze. “You’re stuffed full of my cock, and Chenle’s watching that video wishing he was me.”
You let out a weak laugh. “Jaem, are you getting jealous?”
He fully wraps his hand around your neck and tugs you back until he’s talking in your ear. “Careful, baby,” he warns you. “Don’t give me a reason to be.”
His phone vibrates with an incoming call against the bench, and you stop moving. You settle onto his lap even though your entire body begs you to continue. Jaemin answers, but he doesn’t have time to say anything before Chenle starts scolding him.
“What part of I’m recording with Renjun and Donghyuck did you two not fucking understand?” His voice sounds strained. “You fucking brats.”
“Keep going, Princess.” Jaemin pats your leg before returning his attention to Chenle. “She looks sexy in white, doesn’t she?”
You resume your motions, trying to set a steady pace while Jaemin rubs your thigh.
“Fuck you, Jaemin,” Chenle groans, the sound sending a shiver down your spine. “I don’t have a lot of time, and I’m hard as hell. Can’t believe I’m stuck recording while you’re fucking our girl.”
Our girl. You whimper at the words, and you’re not sure if the twitch of Jaemin’s cock buried deep inside you is from you or Chenle.
Your legs burn at this point, but when the signature FaceTime sound starts, you don’t dare slow down your pace. Jaemin feels heavenly inside you, and the thought of Chenle watching has you dripping down your thighs. You forget you’re in public for a moment, moans falling from your lips as Jaemin positions the phone in front of you. He uses his knees to spread you apart further, and he sinks a little further inside you.
Chenle has the perfect view of you riding Jaemin.
“You’ve always been too easy on her,” Chenle growls. “Play with her tits.”
You’re surprised Jaemin listens to the other’s command. He immediately slides his hand beneath the white fabric and tweaks your nipple. Your hips jerk and you’re so close to begging him to make you cum. You feel the high approaching, but you need more. His length is heavenly inside you, but it’s not enough to push you over the edge, and both he and Chenle know that. Your clit throbs, screaming at you to give it attention.
“She doesn’t get to finish,” Chenle says. “Fuck her until you’re done, but she doesn’t deserve it yet.”
You cry out in protest.
“She’s so pretty when she cums, though.” Jaemin pouts, moving down until his fingers tease your lower stomach.
“My God, please.” You move faster. “Please, I need it so bad.”
“Don’t you hear her?” Jaemin hums. “I always make my princess cum. What are you gonna do about it?”
His fingers connect with your clit, and you let out a much too-loud moan as your hips jerk. You move faster on top of him, wanting nothing more than to fall apart. Right before the high washes over you, he stops.
“Fuck,” you hiss, trying to get that feeling back.
Chenle’s breath hitches, and the sounds coming from his end of the phone tells you he’s fisting his cock right now.
“I’ll punish both of you.”
Jaemin’s length twitches inside you, and this time, you know it’s from Chenle. Warmth floods your legs as all sorts of images flash across your mind. You don’t want to be punished, but you desperately want to cum. Your body aches, and there’s an intense pressure building in your abdomen that makes your skin sticky with sweat and your core flutter around Jaemin.
Smirking, he finds your clit again. Almost like he knows what’s going to happen, he drops his phone and covers your mouth with his hand, muffling your scream of pleasure as your walls clamp down on him. Your vision turns white, and you barely notice what happens next between your delirious state and the way Chenle’s moans filter through the phone.
Jaemin pulls you off him and turns you around so he can look at you. You’re back on his lap within seconds, and he tugs you down until you’re filled with him all over again. He seems to have forgotten about the other man. He thrusts upward, nails digging into your hips to pull you down every time.
Another few seconds later, and his head is falling back against the wall with a thud as his warm cum fills you. He gives himself a moment to calm down, and then he grabs his phone. With your head buried in his neck, you shy away from the camera.
“Both of you better be at my fucking house in the next half an hour, understood?” Chenle’s voice is low and a bit scratchy. “I’m getting out of here, and by the time I get home, both of you better be waiting.”
“One more thing,” Jaemin says. He wraps his arm around you and lays you back against the bench. As he slides his cock out of you, he positions his phone so Chenle has a clear view of Jaemin’s cum leaking out of your pussy and gathering on the ruined lingerie.
“Don’t piss me off even more.” Chenle huffs. “Half an hour, Jaemin. I’m not playing with you.”
“We’ll see.” Jaemin grins widely, winking at his phone before hanging up. He tosses it to the side, returning his attention to you. “Are you okay, Princess? That wasn’t too much, was it?”
“I’m good.” You nod, closing your eyes. “We definitely have to buy this one now.”
He chuckles, helping you sit up. “I already paid for all of them. Did you really think I’d fuck you in it and then pay for it? I’m not a monster.”
You stand on your shaky legs, and he helps you remove the ruined fabric and grabs your clothes. Once both of you are fully dressed, he goes out to the cashier to get a bag. You put all four sets into it. When you see yourself in the mirror, you cringe at how messy you look. There’s no way that woman out there won’t know what happened in here—if she hadn’t heard you first.
You don’t look at her as you follow Jaemin out of the store. He flashes his dazzling smile at you, and you’re not sure why that sends a flutter to your heart.
“Guess we’d better go to Chenle’s, huh?” He raises his eyebrows. “He’s not very happy with us.”
“I didn’t even do anything.” You pout but nod anyway.
He laughs and throws his arm over your shoulder. “You were literally fucking yourself on my cock, babe. I think that counts as something.”
Even with your legs shaking as you walk to Jaemin’s car, everything inside you tingles with excitement at the thought of Chenle punishing you.

The best babysitter
(Eddie Munson x F!reader)
That day, you were supposed to babysit your four-year-old cousin, Alice, but you'd completely forgotten that Max had asked you to help with a school project.
So, before you went to see Max, you left the kid with Eddie, saying you'd be back soon.
Eddie had been nervous all morning: he didn't have much experience with children and, knowing that many people thought he was scary, he was afraid she would get scared or started crying when she saw him.
"Alice, this is Eddie. He's a friend of mine. Eddie, this is Alice, my cousin." You introduced them leaving the kid in Eddie's arms, right out of his trailer.
He tried to hide the sigh of relief he let out when, holding her in his arms, she simply grabbed the pick attached to his necklace, played with it, turned it over in her little hands and looked at him curiously.
"Will you guys be okay?" You asked.
"Yeah, sure. Don't worry." He said as the little girl tugged at a strand of Eddie's curly hair, causing him to chuckle.
You thanked one last time and headed into the trailer in front of Eddie's to meet Max. Her project took longer than expected and after several hours, you went back to Eddie's trailer door, hoping everything went well.
You knocked hearing voices coming from inside but nobody opened the door. You lowered the handle, discovering that the door was not locked and you entered, to find yourself in front of one of the most wholesome scenes you'd ever witnessed.
Eddie and Alice were sitting on the floor, some books, pencils and markers scattered around them.
He was reading from a book a conversation between two characters, for the first he emitted a deep, low voice and for the second one more acute and high, making the little girl burst out laughing every time.
You closed the door behind you, without announcing your presence yet and you leaned against the wall observing the scene with a smile on your lips.
You noticed that there were two messy pigtails on the little girl's head. They weren't there when you brought her to Eddie so the only option was that he made them.
You giggled at the image that popped into your head. The tattoos on Eddie's arms had been colored in, probably with the markers on the floor, and there was pink nail polish on his nails. You wondered why the hell Eddie owned pink nail polish.
"Y/N!" The kid suddenly exclaimed, pointing at you.
Eddie turned to you. "Hey, you're just in time! We need the princess."
You joined them, sitting next to Eddie who offered you an amused smile. "I am already the ogre, the witch and the knight. Please be the princess."
You chuckled. "Okay."
"Finally the princess has graced us mere mortals with her presence!" He exclaimed theatrically, making Alice burst out laughing again.
"This is the moment when the knight declares his undying love to the princess, swearing allegiance to her until the end of his days!"
That was also the moment you realized you didn't just have a crush on your best friend; you were completely in love with him, but you didn't say anything yet.
There was a kingdom to save for the moment.

hearts' day 002.
a surprise date with denji.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"what's got you all sad and stuff?"
a gruff voice asked you while you sobbed into your now wet palms. you looked up slowly at him with watery eyes and trembling lips, hoping you didn't look so pathetic, like you didn't just get stood up on a date you waited a whole week for.
you sniffed back your snot and blinked away your hot tears as you realized it was that blonde kid in your class, hayakawa, asking you what was up with you–his pinky finger gracefully shoved away in his nostril, picking his nose, while he looked down at you with his amber colored irises.
you didn't know what was more pitiful, the fact you got stood up by someone you really liked and were left alone after waiting around for them for nearly 3 hours at this point, or the fact that you were being sort-of-but-not-really comforted by a stranger, who wasn't exactly a stranger, from your class, picking his nose for a sizeable booger.
with a shaky breath, you looked up at the color of the setting sun–the deep, fiery red, orange, and yellow hues in the sky reminding you of how long it had been since you arrived in this damned park, only to be made a fool out of when nobody arrived to take you to the date you really, really looked forward to going.
"...i got stood up." you muttered, wiping away your tears as your gaze fell down to your bright, shining shoes that you bought specifically to impress your date. denji let out a small, 'huh' sound, and sat next to you on the bench; flicking away a small booger he caught, then wiping his finger on his shirt after.
"well, what if we went on a date?" he asked you nonchalantly. your eyes widened at his suggestion, but a part of you felt a little grosses out by it. "us?" you asked in sheer confusion. "yeah. what, don't wanna go on a date with the one and only chainsaw man? too scared ta do it? i bet you are." he said with a mischievous grin and a devilish tone of mockery in his voice as he challenged you.
this boy always said he was chainsaw man, not like anyone–nor you–believed him, but at this point, you were too broken up to really give a damn about anything else he was saying aside from the fact he was more than willing to take a pretty girl who's been disappointed and heartbroken out for the night of her life.
you sighed, leaning your head against the bench's backrest and shrugged. "okay." you murmured, making denji chuckle and stand up. he extended his clean hand towards you and gave you a sharp, toothy smile. "i've got a game of uno waiting for us back at my place, and a little devil to take care of, but she's not gonna give a shit. maybe."
you find yourself chuckling ironically at how sweet his gesture is, offering to take you to his place to play a game of uno, maybe get some takeout from that chinese place he's been mumbling to himself about craving their food for, and maybe brewing you some tea even though he hates it–all because he's heard you like it.
"ya like tea?" he asked you when he turned to you, not realizing you two were holding hands this whole time. you snap out of your inner thoughts and look him in the eyes. you nod and raise an eyebrow in surprise. "how'd you know?"
"dunno, y'seem like the type to like tea. you're like... all pretty and sweet and shit, y'know? and i heard you talkin' to yer friends once about this tea house y'really wanted to go to someday, so... yeah, if i get the money, i'll take ya there. but fer now, yer stuck with the denji hayakawa special brew." he joked, making your cheeks feel a little warm at how thoughtful he was being without even trying.
something tells you this new surprise date would be a little better than you expected, hopefully.

I was there, standing on top of that mountain where I could see the sunset that covered the village below with golden light. After so many battles, Konoha finally flourished in peace.
Peace that hadn’t existed in my heart for a long time since I met her: Alexia.
──
In the heart of the war between Senju and Uchiha, in the small moments when there was a truce, I, Tobirama, youngest son of the general of the Senju clan liked to get away from all that suffering for a while. During the day, I found a way to escape to the river, just to be able to see and hear the current that followed its path without caring about what happened on its banks. It just flowed.
And it was there, on one of those days, that I saw a little paper boat with a yellow flower inside going down through the crystal-clear water, and then one more and another. Like the curious child that I was, I went up the river in the opposite direction of the boats, until I saw her.
A little girl with long, black hair messed up by the wind. She was kneeling on the riverbank and placing paper boats with colorful flowers in the water one by one, while her black eyes watched them move away. Until her eyes fell on me, and we stood staring without saying anything on either side of the river. Then, she got up, smiled at me and disappeared into the forest.
──
Without realizing it, a soft smile curved my lips as I remembered that day. How the silent meeting of two children could change so much.
──
After that meeting, I went to the river more often, wanting to see her again. But it was weeks before I saw the little boats go down the current once again. I found her in the same place and this time, I walked over and crouched down next to her.
“Why do you do it?” I asked.
She looked at me with those dark orbs, smiled and responded as if it were the simplest thing in the world.
“Because I think it’s beautiful.”
I saw her pick up another little boat with a red flower and place it in my hand. I quickly put it in the water and saw it go away down the river. I smiled without realizing it.
“See? It’s so pretty,” she said and looked at me again. “I’m Alexia. And you?”
“Tobirama,” I replied, hiding my surname, because during the war it wasn’t wise to say it to strangers and apparently, she knew that as she didn’t say hers either.
We stayed there talking for hours, without ever saying where we came from, until I heard my brother Hashirama calling me from inside the forest. I went home but not before making her promise that we would see each other again, right there.
The months passed and as the war worsened, our meetings began to become rarer, until she never appeared again.
──
I felt a lonely tear run down my face. Even though we were just children, the loss of my first love hurt a lot.
But I moved on with my life, and during the following years, thanks to the war, I didn’t have much time to rummage through the past. Until...
──
Until, at the peak of my 21 st year, I became the second-best ninja in my clan, second only to my older brother.
Even though the years passed, and I became a man, I still had the childhood habit of going to the river.
That day, I bent down to wash my face in the cool water, and I felt my heart speed up when I saw a little paper boat with a pink flower touch my hand.
I ran as fast as I could, going upstream and I saw her... she was there and looked at me as if she was waiting for me.
Her black hair, now longer, swayed in the breeze. Her body, that was once small and thin, had become beautiful and curvy. She was a woman now, but her eyes, oh those dark eyes, were still the same ones that haunted my memories.
I approached, and the only thing I could say was her name.
“Alexia...”
Without knowing why, or without caring if I was going to be rejected, I kissed her. That old childhood love turned into an urgent desire to erase all that longing that I had stored deep within my being. Alexia responded to me with passion. She seemed to feel the same thing as me, and she wanted to make up for all the lost time.
We pulled away from each other with difficulty, but the feeling of being complete surrounded us like a golden aura. We didn’t need to say anything to know that time hadn’t changed the feelings of the two children.
We talked and kissed for hours on end, until we heard sounds coming from the forest, and before I knew it, she broke away from my embrace, looking me in the eyes and said:
“Tobirama, I need to tell you something very important.” Her face became serious. “Meet me here tomorrow night. Please don’t miss it.”
I nodded and let her go.
I didn’t know that conversation would change my entire life.
──
The night of our meeting had arrived. I managed to leave without being seen by my brother and went towards the agreed location. My hands were sweating, and my heart was racing with every step I took. I thought what I felt years ago was a child’s thing, but the closer I got, the more I knew I was madly in love with that woman. When I arrived, she was already there waiting for me, her gaze fixed on the waters of the river. She seemed sad and that made me worried.
“Alexia, are you alright?” I asked and without waiting for an answer, I hugged her.
Feeling her warm body pressed against mine, the kiss was inevitable. It started out soft, but when she opened the way for our tongues to mee, I could no longer resist. We made love right there, on the riverbank, listening to the water run and taking our secret with it.
Leaning on my body, I heard her soft cry and little by little, hot tears touched my chest, making me look at her.
“What happened? Did I hurt you?” I said with concern.
“That’s not it,” she got up and started to dress up. “This shouldn’t have happened. Not without telling you first.”
“Telling me what?” I started to worry even more, seeing her crying.
“I know who you are, Tobirama Senju,” she whispered between tears, emphasizing the word ‘senju’. “And I... I am... Alexia Uchiha.”
My heart almost stopped when I heard her say her full name. It couldn’t be true. It couldn’t... the girl I loved since I was a child, the girl I loved there, on the riverbank, was from that damn clan that had been at war with my family and friends for years. I looked at that familiar and now strange face for several moments, until she broke the deadly silence that hung on us.
“I wanted to tell you sooner, but I was afraid,” she took a step towards me. “Say something, Tobirama.”
“Alexia... Uchiha...” I could only repeat her name, still not believing that joke of fate.
She got closer to me, and with her trembling hand she tried to touch me, but my body involuntarily took a step back, avoiding the contact.
“Please, say something,” her voice was already starting to get exasperated with my silence. “Say that this doesn’t change anything. Say that you love me. Say that everything will be alright. Just say... say it and I will wait for you.”
But I didn’t say it. Even though my heart was screaming like crazy inside my chest, I didn’t say the words that she wanted to hear. I couldn’t.
I caught a glimpse of her beautiful eyes fading with the tears that came flooding back before she left.
──
When I found out who that little boy was in the river, I knew I had to stay away for my safety and his. However, the war helped me maintain my decision. I was sent to another village along with other women and children who could not fight. But fate found a way to bring us together again many years later. I wanted to see him, see how he grew up and try to make possible that childish love that I always carried in my chest, despite the situation.
An Uchiha and a Sunju. It seemed like a joke, but I didn’t care. I wanted to fight for that feeling.
But...
But my hope faded that night, after we made love. He ran away from my touch like running away from a venomous snake when he learned the truth. I saw the hurt in his eyes, and anger. I was willing to face everything and everyone for us, I just needed to hear him say it. But the words didn’t come.
──
After that fateful night, I still hadn’t given up on us. Maybe he just needed some time to put his thoughts in order, maybe there was still hope. But I was wrong.
Every day that followed, I went to the riverbank and one by one, I placed the little paper boats with flowers in the current and watched them slowly descend into the clear waters, waiting to hear his footsteps on the gravel. The long-awaited steps never came.
And every time, I cried. But this time, I held back the tears and noticed that someone placed a coat over my shoulders and spoke to me in a soft voice.
“Alexia, what are you doing here?” he said in a worried smile. “It’s getting cold. Let’s go before you get sick."
I looked at him as I stood up. His long, black hair was tousled because of the wind, which I didn’t even realize was blowing strongly, and his dark eyes, so similar to mine, stood out from the strong, beautiful face that smiled at me. Madara Uchiha, the new leader of the clan. I had known him for a long time, but only at that moment did I really pay attention to him. I took one last look at the waters of the river and followed him back home.
──
That image of Alexia waiting for me, words I didn’t say and the sadness in her eyes, the plea in her voice haunted my thoughts.
Every day I went to the river, and I saw, day after day, the little paper boats going down the river. I knew they were for me, that she was waiting for me just behind that curve. But my pride prevented me from going there and taking her in my arms and never letting her go.
Another little boat came down and came closer to my feet, and before I could pick it up, it sank and dissolved in the water. I didn’t know why, but that image made me cry. Nevertheless, I still didn’t go after her.
──
A year has passed since that day, and there have never been any paper boats for me on the river again.
Same bed, but it feels just a little bit bigger now
Our song on the radio, but it don’t sound the same
When our friends talk about you, all it does is just tear me down
‘Cause my heart breaks a little when I hear your name
It all just sounds like ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
And as the world loves to play tricks, that same year the battle between the Senju and Uchiha clans ended, beginning an alliance that led to the founding of Konoha. If I had said something, if I had waited...
Mm, too young, too foolish to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party ‘cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby’s dancing, but she’s dancing with another man
But I hadn’t said anything, I hadn’t waited, and I lost her. Now, we live in the same village, our families are no longer enemies and there is no more war. But it’s too late for us.
My pride, my ego, my needs, and my selfish ways
Caused a good strong woman like you to walk out of my life
Now I never, never get to clean up the mess I made, oh
And that haunts me every time I close my eyes
It all just sounds like ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I see her almost every day, but her eyes don’t look at me anymore and her smile doesn’t shine for me. Now, another man holds her hand, another man is the owner of her look and the reason for her smile.
Mm, too young, too foolish to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party ‘cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby’s dancing, but she’s dancing with another man
Although it hurts
I’ll be the first to say that I was wrong
Oh, I knw I’m probably much too late
To try and apologize for my mistakes
But I just want you to know
I could see him day after day gluing together, piece by piece, Alexia’s heart, which I broke. Healing her wings, which I hurt, and giving her the love that, out of pride, I couldn’t give.
I hope he buys you flowers, I hope he holds you hand
Give you all his hours when he has the chance
Take you to every party
‘Cause I remember how much you loved t dance
Do all the things I would have done
When I was your man
And today, I’m here, at the top of this mountain. Down there, I can hear the happy laughter and the music that rose up to me.
It was Alexia’s wedding, my Alexia... I lost her the moment I was too weak to say I loved her.
My life ended there, on the edge of that river. Those waters witnessed who foolish I was, how my hatred and my pride took from me the woman I loved my entire life.
The sun had already set on the horizon and the stars were beginning to emerge in the dark blue sky. That was when I noticed someone approaching, a servant, who handed something into my hand that made my heart skip a beat.
It was a paper boat with a white flower. My eyes clouded with the threat of tears, until I saw that there seemed to be something written on the paper. I unfolded the little boat and read the words that seemed a little shaky.
‘Tobirama,
I want you to know that despite what happened between us, I have no regrets. On the contrary, you will always be in my heart, as my first love. It’s a shame that it’s too late for both of us, but I wish from the bottom of my soul that you find someone, and that you don’t let your pride speak louder than your love again. Be happy.
Alexia.’
As I read that, my fists clenched the paper tightly and the little flower fell apart on the floor. And I couldn’t hold it back any longer. I fell on the ground and cried, cried until my eyes had no more tears to cry.
I cried for the lost love. I cried for the future without Alexia. I cried for the regret of not having said the words she expected to hear. And I cried even more for having my heart in pieces while my pride remained whole.

 You couldn’t sleep that night.
It felt nearly impossible. Your thoughts were like a hurricane in your mind, and more than once you had got up from the bed to pace in the room, desperate for some sort of movement as if that could help with just how restless you were.
It didn’t help that you were alone in your bed for the first time after almost a month.
You hadn’t even realized how you had gotten used to sleeping right beside him until this very night. Now that he wasn’t there, now that he wasn’t holding you in his arms even while you both slept, now that you weren’t woken up by his kisses and soft caresses, you almost felt cold. Having dozed off around the dawn after hours of thinking, you only woke up when you heard a soft knock on the door.
“My lady?” Lucie’s voice reached you and you turned in the bed, searching for Anthony’s warmth but—
Right.
He wasn’t there.
You opened your eyes and rubbed at them, then sat up in bed.
“Come in Lucie,” you called out and she opened the door, then looked behind her and stepped inside.
“My apologies for the lateness,” she said, making you shake your head. “I checked the other room and when I couldn’t find you there I searched you in the house before coming here.”
You waved a hand in the air, your voice still hoarse. “Don’t worry about it.”
She lingered in her spot and then offered you a smile and went to open up the curtains, the light making you wince.
“It’s such a beautiful morning,” she said. “I think we should pick your gown for the ball tonight after picking what you will wear during the day.”
“The ball tonight?”
“Lord and Lady Colby’s ball?” she said and you ran a hand over your face, slipping a little into the sheets.
Lord and Lady Colby’s ball, of course.
When you and Anthony first got back from your honeymoon, you were invited to a lot of balls but you preferred to spend your evenings in a different way. It was only when Lady Whistledown had written earlier in the week about how Viscount and Viscountess Bridgerton were not seen in a ball together that you had insisted on attending one and Anthony had begrudgingly agreed, telling you that you two would be leaving early.
You had a feeling that he wouldn’t be looking forward to coming back home with you tonight though.
“Right,” you said. “That ball.”
“Any particular color you have in mind? For the day or the night?”
You shook your head and she pulled out a pale blue gown.
“This for the day maybe? We can pair it with a sapphire necklace?”
“Sure.”
“And for the ball, I was thinking perhaps we could use this,” she said, pulling out a rose colored gown, “And pair it with your pink diamond hair comb and that necklace over your vanity—”
“Have you seen Anthony?” you cut her off and she paused for a moment, then cleared her throat.
“Uh…he left early this morning my lady.”
You bit down on your nail, your heart dropping to your stomach.
“Oh,” you said. “Alright. All those options sound good, thank you Lucie. You have wonderful taste as always.”
“Shall I have them draw you a bath before or after breakfast today?”
“Before,” you said. “So have you seen him leave or…?”
Lucie pulled her brows together. “I have.”
“How was he?”
“Is everything alright, my lady?” she asked back and you massaged your temples.
“We had a fight,” you managed to say. “Last night.”
“I could tell,” she said. “Would you like to talk about it?”
You thought for a moment, then shook your head.
“Whatever it was about,” she said. “I’m sure it will get solved. You’re both in love, and arguments are completely normal within a marriage. Perhaps you both need to calm down in solitude first.”
You scoffed a bitter laugh and shrugged your shoulders.
“I suppose,” you said. “I don’t have much of an appetite I’m afraid, so can you tell the cook to prepare something light for breakfast? Some fruit and tea perhaps.”
“Of course,” she said, “I’ll tell the maids to prepare your bath here.”
“Thank you,” you said and fell back to the bed as when she walked out of the room. You let out a groan, then pressed your palms over your eyes before letting your arms drop back to the bed, pursing your lips.
“Great,” you murmured. “It’ll be a nice ball I’m sure.”
                                   *
You had planned to meet Cecily today but you were in such a sour mood that you wrote to her saying that you should postpone it and that you would see each other at the ball tonight. It gave you enough time to do whatever you wished at home, but you were so distracted by your own thoughts that you could barely focus on anything else.
It wasn’t for a lack of trying though.
Throughout the whole day, you did everything you could think of. You went through the ledgers which you had been postponing for a while, went over the staff files, made a list of things that they required by the end of the season and approved it, then gave it to Mrs. Burchett before going to the library to get a book.
It didn’t offer as much of a distraction as you had expected though, especially when your doubts were poisoning you.
This was the first time you’d had a fight this big, at least since the opera and you couldn’t help but think about what had happened at the opera.
You shut your eyes tight, trying to get rid of the unwanted thoughts. Of course it was nonsense, Anthony was in love with you, he had promised you that he would be loyal to you. Even when he didn’t know you were listening to his conversation with his mother that night your father was unwell, he had told Lady Bridgerton there would be no one else but you despite the fact that you weren’t even married or courting back then.
A mere fight did not mean you lost his love, nor did it mean he would seek comfort in someone else’s bed—
You did not even have time for these foolish thoughts. Now that Frederick was back in the city you had to find a way to make him pay for everything he had done, to take revenge for the pain he caused your mother and your whole family, but somehow, the doubts managed to seep into your thoughts, making you think the worst.
Especially considering you hadn’t seen him for the whole day.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn’t even realize that Lucie was done with your hair. She placed the small hair comb on your bun, pink diamonds gleaming in the candlelight before she clasped the necklace behind your neck, then pulled back.
“There you go my lady.”
Your head snapped up and you blinked a couple of times before your eyes found hers in the mirror, then tried to smile at her.
“Thank you Lucie,” you said, turning your head to see your bun better and she smiled back at you.
“My lady, some of the maids here want to learn more about how one becomes a lady’s maid,” she said. “And I think one of them—Ethel, she can learn a lot, she’s very enthusiastic and sweet about it. She asked me if I could teach her how to style hair and such, in hopes that she can finish the education and become a proper candidate for the job so I was wondering if she could watch the next time I did your hair?”
“Of course,” you said. “I can refer her and such if she’d like, after she learns.”
Lucie tilted her head. “Refer her?”
“Well yes,” you said. “If she wants to be a lady’s maid. I mean I know it takes years to complete that training but…”
“My lady, no—” she said with a laugh. “She’s not looking to change her job. She wants to learn so that she will be ready by the time you and Lord Bridgerton have a daughter and that you might consider her.”
Your heart skipped a beat and you turned around to look at her better, trying to find the words.
“Oh,” you said after a pause. “Um…of course. If you want to take her under your wing, I can make the necessary arrangements happen for her full education.”
“Thank you my lady,” she said. “She will lose her mind when she hears it.”
You and Anthony with a baby.
Even the idea of it warmed your heart.
You played with your necklace absentmindedly and cleared your throat.
“But I don’t think that’s going to happen yet.”
“Perhaps for a good reason,” Lucie joked. “The whole London will run out of fabrics to make clothes the moment you have a daughter, and the rest of the ladies will have to wear their old gowns thanks to you.”
A small laugh escaped from your lips. “Lucie!”
“What? I’d say you will have to transform a room into a closet.”
You opened your mouth to retort but before you could do that, you heard a knock on the door, making both you and Lucie turn your heads.
“Come in!”
The door opened to reveal Anthony, and even the sight of him was enough to make your heart beat faster. He looked handsome as always, in his formal attire for the ball and the look in his eyes softened as his gaze fell on you before he frowned slightly, as if remembering your fight.
“My lady,” he said. “We may leave if you’re ready.”
You swallowed thickly and shot him a curt smile, then stood up from your seat in front of the vanity.
“Of course,” you said. “Enjoy your evening Lucie.”
“You too my lady.”
You walked out of the room, descending the stairs with Anthony before you both stepped outside to the stone road where the carriage was waiting for you. Anthony offered you his hand, --even after an argument his manners were impeccable— and you took it, then got in the carriage, with him following you.
The Colby house was very close to your house, barely ten minutes away, but the tension was so palpable even in the carriage that you could hardly sit still. The silence was suffocating and you bounced your leg, keeping your eyes on the street out of the window, playing with your necklace. Anthony stole a look at you, then clenched his jaw, taking a deep breath like he was trying to control himself from saying anything.
The carriage soon stopped and Anthony stepped out, then helped you out of it. You fixed your skirts, looking up at the house in front of you. It looked lovely, the garden was full of bright colored flowers and the whole house was lit with a golden light, the pleasant music reaching outside. Anthony offered you his arm and you took it, then you both made your way inside, the warmth and the chatter hitting you instantly.
“Finally a public appearance!” you heard Eloise’s voice and she approached you to kiss you on the cheek before turning to Anthony. “Brother.”
“Eloise.”
“Lord and Lady Colby will probably thank you in person,” she joked. “It’s been a while since the ton saw you two at a ball.”
“Leave them be Eloise,” Benedict said as Anthony grabbed two glasses and handed you one while he took a huge sip of the other. “Mother was looking for you.”
“I already danced with two suitors, I think she’s asking too much of me.”
“Go tell her that then, because she seems to have made me a target in your absence,” Benedict whined. “In fact, go tell her the golden couple is here, that’ll distract her.”
“Good idea.”
“Eloise, don’t—” Anthony started but she had already left. You took a sip of your drink, looking around.
“Are Elias and Cece here?”
“They will come but Cece was feeling sick earlier today,” Anthony said. “They’re probably running late.”
You pulled your brows together. “She’s sick?”
“Morning sickness, she says.”
“When were you going to tell me that?”
“Oh now you want to have a conversation?” Anthony asked back and Benedict looked between you two.
“…Is everything alright?”
“Great.”
“Wonderful, why do you ask?”
Benedict frowned, tilting his head but before he could say anything someone touched your arm, making you turn your head.
“Hugh, hello.”
“Good evening, may I talk to you for a moment?”
You nodded and stepped away from Anthony and Benedict, still feeling Anthony’s burning gaze on you. Hugh looked more impatient than you had ever seen him before, which was very surprising to you, because he always seemed calm and collected.
“What happened?”
“Listen, I don’t have much time,” he said. “I came to chaperone Abby and Edith but Edith wants to go home now so I’ll take them home and Cece and Elias are nowhere to be found.”
“They’re running late Anthony says.”
“Yeah probably—Ken told me about last night,” he said. “Just an hour before I came here I mean.”
You shifted your weight. “Yeah?”
“His name is Frederick Jennings?”
You nodded your head. “Yes.”
“Earl of Woodhall? You’re absolutely sure?”
“Of course I’m sure,” you said. “My father said it before and he introduced himself last night. Why?”
Hugh clenched his teeth and looked over his shoulder to Edith who was calling his name, then turned to you.
“Tell Cece and Elias to find me,” he said. “No matter how late it is at night, alright? Tell them to come and talk to me at home.”
“Hugh, what’s—?” you started but he walked away from you and he and Edith left the ballroom, leaving you there completely confused. You downed your drink and grabbed another from the tray, and made your way back to Anthony and Benedict.
“What happened?”
“I have no idea,” you said and Benedict cleared his throat.
“I’ll just go and…exist somewhere else,” he said and made his way through the crowd, carefully dodging the ladies who were stealing glances at him and fanning themselves. Anthony shook his head slightly and sipped his drink while you turned to him to tell him you should go and say hello to his mother and the rest of the family, but before you got the chance to do so Anthony shot the couple who were making their way to you a forced smile, making you look at them.
Lord and Lady Colby.
“Oh if this isn’t our newly Viscountess Bridgerton, you look so beautiful!” Lady Colby said and you curtsied.
“Thank you Lady Colby, so do you.”
She waved a dismissive hand in the air. “I must admit that it’s a welcomed surprise,” she said. “We haven’t got the chance to see you two together out in the public in the evenings much.”
“They’re newlyweds, Margaret,” Lord Colby said and clasped Anthony by the shoulder. “Shall we leave the ladies to their conversation, Anthony? You should join us in the business room, I had a full box of cigars brought in from Spain recently, you must try one. Joseph swears it’s the best he has ever tried.”
“Go,” Lady Colby said. “Please. Leave me with your wife, I have a lot of questions to smother her with.”
“Oh you could never,” you assured her and Anthony chuckled.
“I’ll be right back, dearest,” he said as if everything was alright between you two, then pressed a kiss on the back of your hand and walked away from you with Lord Colby. You swallowed thickly, trying to ignore how the simple gesture had sent sparks from your hand to your whole body but managed to smile at Lady Colby.
“Thank you for the invitation Lady Colby.”
“Thank you for attending,” she said. “As I’ve said; you got many invitations since you two got back from your honeymoon that we were beginning to think you wouldn’t attend anything that took place in the evening, which…I’m sure I know the reason.”
A fire burned your face and you sipped your drink.
“I loved how your wedding gown looked by the way,” she said. “The ton says you had five different seamstresses?”
“Three,” you corrected her. “One for the wedding gown, one for the trousseau and one for the veil.”
“Now is it true that you’ve had your veil weaved with actual gold threads?”
You paused for a moment, then shook your head. “Uh…no. “
“Have you had the fabrics for your trousseau brought in from Paris? Because if so, I must ask you for the name of that shop.”
“I had a lot of shops that I liked back home—in Paris I mean,” you corrected yourself. “I could gladly give you the names.”
“Wonderful!” she said. “When can we expect your ball then?”
Ah.
That.
You had been so distracted by Anthony and your newly found marital bliss lately that it had almost escaped your mind you were to throw a ball. Now that you were Viscountess Bridgerton, everyone expected it and quite frankly, you were looking forward to it even before you were married.
“Right before the season ends,” you said. “Back in Paris we would…we would end every season with a beautiful ball, saying that it was our responsibility to say farewell to the season in the best way possible and I’ve decided to adapt that approach to the London social season as well. Before everyone goes back to the country side, we should have a grand ball in London that we will all enjoy immensely, no?”
“I love that!” she said, pressing a hand over her chest. “Any chance I can learn about the theme?”
You tilted your head. “Lady Colby, surely you must know how fond of surprises I am,” you said. “I can only assure you that it will be a ball worthy of waiting for.”
She let out a laugh. “Cannot blame me for trying. How about—”
She was cut off when the crowd around you started whispering and you turned your head to see what everyone was looking at, and as soon as your eyes fell on him your blood ran cold.
Frederick.
He took a look around him as he walked towards you, as if he was enjoying the attention and Lady Colby pulled her brows together when he reached you, and bowed.
“Ladies.”
“I’m not sure we’ve been introduced, Mr…”
“Frederick Jennings,” he introduced himself as your jaw clenched, that familiar fire burning in your chest. “Earl of Woodhall. You must excuse my intrusion my lady, but I’ve just come back to the city after a long time and wanted to see if the balls were as exquisite as I remembered them.”
“Oh of course, welcome Earl Woodhall!” she said. “It’s an honor. And what is your opinion if I may ask?”
“That they’re even better than before,” he said as you dug your fingernails into your palms, balling up your fists.
“This is Viscountess Bridgerton,” Lady Colby said and you tried to swallow the lump in your throat.
“We’ve been introduced before,” you said and Frederick had the audacity to smile at you.
“Viscountess,” he said. “Could I ask for a dance, perhaps?”
Oh he was doing this on purpose.
Even if you wanted to tell him to go to hell, a small part of you—the logical part of you, more likely—stopped you before you even opened your mouth. Your mother had taught you better than that; she had taught you that in order to defeat an enemy, you had to get to know them first.
And that was exactly what you were going to do.
You wanted him ruined, and you were going to make sure to do it yourself.
You bit inside your cheek hard enough to hurt, then raised your brows.
“You may,” you said, fixing your gloves before you placed your hand on his, the mere action making you feel sick to your stomach but you controlled your expression, then walked to the dancefloor with him.
Calm.
You had to remain calm and learn as much as you could.
“So, Viscountess Bridgerton,” he commented as you two started dancing. “Should I look out for any sharp objects during the dance?”
“Should I look out for any lies you might spread after the dance?”
He let out a chuckle. “Cassie taught you the art of conversation well,” he said. “Though after last night, I shouldn’t be surprised. You’re almost a replica of her, the same looks, the same fiery temper...”
Your fingers curled, as if your body was telling you to strangle him right there on the dancefloor but you took a step and turned as the dance required.
“Has she ever told you that temper of hers got her in trouble a lot, even when we were young?” he asked. “Her father once accused her of having hysteria, saying she was too angry for a young lady. He was saying it would go away after she got married but it did not.”
“No wonder she hated him,” you said. “And no. She never talked about him. Or you.”
His eyes snapped to yours and you shot him a smug smile.
“I’ve heard a lot about my father but not you,” you said. “Funny, you would think she would mention you but no. To be honest, the first time I heard of your presence was very recently.”
“Perhaps it was heavy on her heart.”
“No, I don’t think that’s the reason,” you said. “Father was heavy on her heart, so much that she talked about him on her deathbed, dreaming of him until her last breath.”
His teeth clenched, a shadow crossing his eyes.
“Not you though,” you continued. “She loved him until her death, but I doubt she even thought about your existence the whole time we were in Paris.”
He took in a breath through his clenched teeth.
“Cassie was rarely a rational person,” he commented. “She did not know what was best for her, I didn’t think that would change, wherever she was.”
“But you knew what was best for her?”
He shrugged his shoulders. “Clearly. One could say I saved her.”
You raised your brows. “Oh you saved her?” you repeated. “How, exactly?”
“Cassie and Percy weren’t meant to be together,” he said. “I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this. They were like ice and fire—much like you and your husband as I’ve seen last night. They weren’t happy.”
“And you decided to take the matters into your own hands?”
“Your father betrayed me,” he stated. “I only paid back the favor. And Cassie was going to be happy with me if it weren’t for—”
“They were in love,” you cut him off. “She never so much as looked at another, neither has he. You were not even in the picture.”
“I think you’re blaming the wrong person here.”
“Do enlighten me,” you said. “Who should I blame then?”
“Your father,” he said and scoffed. “Yourself as well.”
You pulled your brows together. “Myself?”
“If it weren’t for you,” he said. “She could’ve been happy with me. A divorce is a scandal yes, but if it weren’t for that rumor, she would’ve been with me, we would’ve been somewhere else, away from all these rumors. She’d be able to put that behind her, I’d give her everything she wanted but you? Your presence muddled the picture.”
It felt as if someone was squeezing at your heart. This was nothing you hadn’t thought before, even prior to learning about Frederick’s existence. Up until your father explained everything, you had thought that if you weren’t born everything would have been better for your mother, or at least that they wouldn’t have got that divorce but now that you knew the whole story, you could see how that also complicated Frederick’s plans. He had started the rumor that she was unfaithful, but if it weren’t for you, after the divorce he still could have had the chance to try to be with her. Even when she had gotten pregnant with you, he still could have tried to marry her after the divorce—
Until the ton started that rumor of you being his child.
Your mother was never going to be with him. You knew that, with or without you, even before knowing he was behind those rumors, she never would have considered him, and after the rumors of him being your father started, any hopes he held to be with her had become impossible.
The version of her in his mind, as wrong as it was, still had one side that was true to the real her;
Any kind of involvement with him would have only made the ton think the rumors were true, and your mother would have died before letting that happen.
You raised your brows, your thoughts like a hurricane in your mind. This hadn’t been a fruitless attempt after all, now you knew more than before.
He hated your father yes, but he also hated you.
“You weren’t important enough to be an option, before or after the divorce,” you pointed out. “Perhaps you think otherwise because my mother was too soft hearted.”
He let out a bitter chuckle. “There are many ways to describe Cassie, soft hearted is not one of them.”
You shrugged your shoulders. “I disagree. It’s quite clear that she was soft hearted.”
“Why?”
“You’re still alive.”
He paused only for a moment, then clicked his tongue.
“Yeah,” he muttered, more to himself. “Cassie’s temper. I’d say this night brings back the memories but there’s one small difference.”
The music started fading and you tilted your head.
“What’s that?”
“She trained you well,” he said. “Better than her own parents. She was perfect in every way but dancing I admit; you dance better than her.”
The other couples slowly stopped dancing as the music ended, some curtsying and bowing before leaving the dance floor and a calm smile pulled at your lips before you nodded
“You’d be wise to remember that, Earl Woodhall.” you said and Frederick blinked a couple of times.
“Remember what, Viscountess Bridgerton?”
You took a step towards him, your eyes locked in his.
“That I’m not as soft hearted as my mother,” you deadpanned, “And you’re dancing with me now.”
He pulled back slightly, a look of surprise crossing his face before he remembered to bow, but you didn’t even curtsy in return. Instead, you turned on your heels, ignoring the glances thrown your way as you walked away from him.
You had to appear to be calm even if you were seething in anger. You were more than aware of the whispers but you pretended not to hear them as you approached the refreshments table, desperate for some distraction.
But before you could even reach there, Anthony made his way through the crowd and grasped your wrist.
“A word, my dear wife?” he said through his teeth and led you to the entrance without even waiting for your answer. You could feel people staring as you both stepped out of the ballroom and passed the hallway to go out into the yard and it was only when you reached there that he let go of your wrist, turning around to look at you.
“What are you doing?”
You tilted your head. “Becoming the first paragraph of tomorrow’s Whistledown issue as we speak thanks to you,” you said. “What are you doing?”
He motioned in the direction of the house. “Y/N, why are you dancing with him?”
“Oh now you want to have a conversation?” you quoted him and he let out an exhale of disbelief, as if he was at the end of his patience.
“You need to stay away from him—”
“Why?” you cut him off. “Because you said so?”
“Because we know nothing about him!” his voice rose. “We have no idea what he’s capable of yet! You’re much smarter than this, what has gotten into you since last night?”
“Maybe not everything can be solved with your beloved logic.”
“And your solution is what exactly? Either stabbing him or getting close enough for him to hurt you?”
“It was one dance!” you insisted. “I’m allowed to dance with whomever I want and so are you—which I’m sure you’re very happy about.”
He pulled his brows in confusion. “What are you talking about?”
Don’t say it. A little voice inside your head warned you. Don’t say it, you don’t mean that, don’t say—
“Where were you today?” the words left your lips before you had a chance to stop them, “The whole day?”
His frown deepened as if he didn’t understand the sudden change of topic, and he opened his mouth to retort but someone cleared their throat, making both of you turn your heads. Elias raised his brows, staring at you both.
“So I don’t know what this is about…” he motioned between you. “But I think you should know that a significant amount of people are more interested in looking out of the window than dancing at the ballroom right now.”
You stole a look at the house to see many people pretending to enjoy the view of the yard, some pulling back from the windows as soon as you turned your head, and you let out a bitter chuckle, shifting your weight as you clenched and unclenched your fists, desperate for some movement.
“I’m going home.”
“Now?”
“Yes.”
Anthony paused for a moment, then nodded in the direction of the carriages.
“Fine, I’ll get the carriage ready.”
“No.” You shook your head. “I’m going to walk.”
“What?”
“I need to walk,” you insisted. “Alone.”
Anthony rolled his eyes. “You’re not walking home alone, Y/N.”
You gritted your teeth, anger rushing through you. “If you give me one more order I swear to God—”
“Hey!” Elias snapped his fingers. “To repeat, you’re in public!”
“Take the carriage,” Anthony said, then took a deep breath as if trying to calm down. “It’s not safe, alright? I’m not giving you any orders, I’m asking.”
“It’s a fifteen minute walk.”
“It’s also the middle of the night in case it has escaped your notice.”
“Alright, how about—” Elias said. “Y/N, I’ll walk you home. Anthony Cece is inside, keep an eye on her until I get back?”
Anthony stayed silent for a moment, as if considering it, then heaved a sigh. “Eli…”
“I know but you’re both angry and trust me, walking will be good for her,” he said and you scoffed, then started walking down the stone road.
It didn’t take Elias long to catch up with you and you both stepped outside to the street, then began sauntering in the direction of your house. The cool weather and being away from the constant chatter and music seemed to have helped you calm down just a little and Elias put his hands in his pockets, stealing a look at you.
You walked for a couple of minutes before the wind blew over you and Elias instantly dropped his jacket over your shoulders.
“Thank you,” you murmured and he rubbed at your arm, then pulled back.
“Do you want to talk?”
“About what?”
“About anything.”
You swallowed thickly and wiped at your nose, your throat tightening.
“Everyone seems to think otherwise for some reason but I know what I’m doing.”
“Do you?” he asked back with a small smile. “Could’ve fooled me last night.”
“Elias…”
“I don’t know how it is in France but in here murder is usually frowned upon, especially if you know who did it.”
“So what then, he gets to…” you motioned with your hand, your voice cracking. “He gets to just come back, when mom couldn’t?”
“I didn’t say—”
“He ruined her life,” you insisted. “He doesn’t get to…he doesn’t get to just walk around like that.”
“I never said he would.”
You paused for a moment, turning to look up at him. “What?”
“Just because I can hide it better than you doesn’t mean I’m not angry,” he told you. “Of course he won’t get to walk around like that, we will not let it.”
“But—”
“But I’m not sacrificing you for revenge either,” he said. “And what you did last night? He’s not pulling you down with him Chérie. Whatever we do, it will hurt him and only him. Not either one of us.”
You nodded your head.
“I admit last night got a bit out of hand,” you said after a beat. “But I’m fixing it. I danced with him tonight to learn more about him, so that we can use it to our advantage, mother always said—”
“You danced with him?”
“Not you too,” you said through your teeth and Elias rubbed at his eyes.
“Fine,” he murmured. “What have you learned?”
“He hates father,” you said. “Which is not a huge shock, but he also hates me.”
“You?”
“He thinks I’m the reason mother didn’t go to him,” you said. “After divorce.”
“Mother would’ve never gone to him.”
“I know but he disagrees.”
Elias thought for a moment, then clicked his tongue.
“And tonight?” he said. “You and Anthony?”
You sniffled, that bitter taste appearing in your throat.
“We had a fight last night,” you murmured. “And since then he either…he either ignores me or tries to give me orders to control me—”
“I don’t think that’s what he’s doing actually,” Elias said. “I think he’s trying to control the situation while making sure you stay unharmed in all this.”
You scoffed a dry laugh. “Well, that’s better than my theory.”
“What’s your theory?”
Your eyes were burning with unshed tears but you managed to blink them back, then raised your brows as you approached the gates to the Bridgerton house before you turned around to lean back to them.
“That he might have stopped loving me last night.”
Elias blinked a couple of times before a laugh escaped from his lips, making you tilt your head.
“Sorry!” he said, covering his mouth with his hand and cleared his throat, trying to adapt a serious look. “That cannot be your theory.”
“Why not?”
“Because it’s literally the most ridiculous theory that I’ve ever heard in my entire life?” he asked with a grin. “Every married couple has arguments, that doesn’t— he’s in love with you. Surely you know a stupid fight isn’t going to change that.”
You bit inside your cheek and his grin faded slightly.
“Chérie,” he said. “You know that, don’t you?”
You tried to smile, then took the jacket off and gave it to him.
“I just need some sleep and food I suppose,” you muttered. “I barely slept last night and didn’t eat much the whole day. Tell Cece I’ll see her tomorrow?”
“I will.”
“Oh, and—” you snapped your fingers. “Hugh wants to see you and Cece. About Frederick.”
“Hugh?” he repeated. “What does he have to do with that?”
“I have no idea. He was in a hurry but he wanted me to tell you that you and Cece need to go to his house, no matter how late it is. It sounded quite urgent.”
Elias thought for a moment.
“Alright, I’ll tell Cece,” he said and pressed a kiss on your forehead. “Eat something and get some sleep. We’ll talk tomorrow.”
You nodded and opened the gate. “Good night Elias.”
“Good night Chérie,” he said and you entered the garden, then made your way through the stone road and climbed up the marble stairs and knocked on the door.
“My lady,” the butler said as soon as he opened the door and bowed as you entered.
“Good evening Mr. Salford,” you said and he looked outside.
“Is Lord Bridgerton coming as well?”
“Oh he will come later. I have the worst headache so I decided to leave the ball early.”
The butler nodded slowly. “Would you like me to send some chamomile tea to your room my lady?”
“That would be lovely, thank you,” you said and made your way upstairs to get into your room. You heaved a sigh and flung yourself on the bed, pressing your hands on your eyes.
It was nonsense.
These doubts were nonsense, of course they were. Elias had a point, you and Anthony loved each other and your love was too strong to disappear after a fight.
Even if—
Even if after your first big fight, that incident at the opera had taken place.
You shook your head at yourself. It was a different time, both of you had gone through so much since then, and you knew he loved you, deep down you knew he wouldn’t betray you like that, but that wasn’t enough to silence the doubts in your mind.
You sat up in the bed as someone knocked on the door and you cleared your throat.
“Come in!”
The door opened and a young maid— Ethel, the girl Lucie had talked to you about today— stepped inside, carrying a tray.
“Good evening my lady, I brought your tea.”
You offered her a smile. “Thank you Ethel,” you said. “You can put it on the table.”
She carefully put the tray on the table before placing the teacup on the table as well, and pushed her hair behind her ear, pressing the tray over her stomach.
“And I…if I may, my lady,” she said. “I wanted to thank you for allowing me to watch and learn Lucie. I wish to improve myself and I am so grateful for the opportunity, I will not let you down.”
Your smile widened and you waved a hand in the air.
“My pleasure,” you said. “Don’t tell her I said this, but Lucie doesn’t just like anyone easily. She’s a great judge of character, and I’ve never seen her be mistaken on people’s talents. If she says you are a good candidate for the job, I’m sure she’s right.”
An excited giggle escaped from her lips and she shifted her weight, pushing her hair behind her ear again even if she didn’t need to.
“Let me or Mrs. Burchett know anything you might need in the meantime, I’ll personally make sure you get it,” you said and she nodded fervently, then curtsied in a haste.
“Thank you my lady.”
“Of course,” you said. “Have a nice night.”
“You too my lady,” she said and hurried out of the room, closing the door behind her. You pushed yourself off the bed and went to the table to grab the teacup, then took a sip, closing your eyes. The sound of horse hooves moving at a steady pace before coming to a stop reached you from the open window and you took another sip of your tea, then went to sit by the vanity. Taking a look at your reflection in the dim candlelight, you reached up to your bun to slowly take out the pins keeping it at place one by one.
When you pulled out the last one and set your hair free, you buried your fingers into your hair, massaging your scalp to get rid of the familiar tension at the roots. You made a face, then grabbed your earring to pull it off but before you could even do it, the door barged open, making you look over your shoulder.
“What did you mean?” Anthony demanded as he stepped inside, breathing hard as if he had just run there and you frowned, then scoffed a laugh.
“It’s my room in case it has escaped your notice,” you said. “Didn’t anyone teach you how to knock?”
“What did you mean, where I was the whole day?”
You gritted your teeth, that familiar fire beginning to burn inside your chest again before you turned to the mirror, pulling your earring from your earlobe.
“Can I not be curious about your whereabouts?”
“Don’t give me that, you and I both know what you were implying.”
“I don’t actually, but I’m sure you’re about to enlighten me,” you said as you took off the other earring as well and Anthony clenched his jaw.
“Y/N.”
“What?” your voice came out more tense than you intended, the pressure you had been feeling since last night slowly making itself known no matter how much you tried to keep it under control.
“If you want to ask me something, you should just ask.”
“I already asked, didn’t get an answer.”
“I was with Elias the whole day,” he said, his voice on edge. “Where did you think I was?”
“Why did you leave?”
“Answer the question.”
“You answer the question,” you growled back, getting up from the chair to take a step towards him, your eyes locked in his dark gaze. “I think I deserve to know the reason why I was left alone here, considering you’ve done nothing but ignoring me or giving me orders for the last twenty-four hours.”
“Oh I’m glad you mentioned that, what have you done for the last twenty-four hours other than throwing yourself into danger over and over again?” he asked you, making you let out a scoff.
“You and I have a different understanding of danger.”
“I’d say so; the difference is that you have no understanding of danger.”
Your jaw dropped, fury roaring through you. “Excuse me?”
“What if he tried to hurt you in that ballroom?” he snapped at you. “Hm? Have you ever thought about that? You tried to stab the man last night, what if he decided to do the same right there when I wasn’t looking?”
“He didn’t—”
“You don’t know that!” his voice rose, making you grit your teeth. “None of us do!”
You swallowed thickly and let out a breath, shaking your head.
“I’m not going to stand here and listen to this,” you spat, walking past him to the door but before you could even touch the handle he grabbed you by the arm and turned you around, your back hitting the wall. Your heartbeat sped up, desire shooting through you so fast that it made your head spin. It was as if everything was sharper now, and you couldn’t even tell lust from fury as you glared up at him, your breathing getting faster.
“Stop walking away from me,” his voice was nearly a growl and you narrowed your eyes, tilting your head to the side.
“Or what?”
The pause lasted only a second.
You had no idea who moved first, you just knew that somehow, your lips were locked in a kiss. The burn of desire was almost overwhelming, making you breathless and your mind fuzzy as he pressed you back to the wall, and your hands balling up to fists on his white shirt. You couldn’t even decide whether you were angry or aroused more, but your body seemed to have its own mind at this point as you bit down on his lip hard, making him hiss and pull back, his hand grabbing at your jaw to keep you in place. You ran your tongue over your canine teeth, a smirk appearing on your face as he touched his lip to check for blood before he raised his brows at you, his expression a mixture of amused and impressed.
“Cute,” he commented before he tilted your head up hard, but the last thing in your mind was complaining about it. He pulled you into a kiss, drawing a whine from you as you tried to unbutton his shirt without looking, but you were quite unsuccessful and frankly too impatient. You gripped at his shirt to yank it open, the buttons scattering somewhere in the room as he leaned down without breaking the kiss and picked you up, making you wrap your legs around his waist.
He walked to the bed and dropped you on top of it, his body covering yours in a second as he settled between your legs, then pulled apart the front of your dress, not even bothering to attempt to unlace it. The sound of the fabric ripping reached you before he threw the gown aside, leaving you in your corset and slip but you couldn’t even bring yourself to care about the gown. It was as if your body was moving on its own accord; you hesitated only for a moment before you pushed at him, making him fall back to bed so that you could straddle him. He raised his brows, almost surprised and you shot him a grin as you dragged your fingernails down his muscular chest.
“Ladies talk,” you commented with a shrug, making him let out a chuckle before you leaned in and locked your lips with his.
