Anyways, it's safe to say Hinata and Kags immediately stopped fighting

Tsukishima, for once, had absolutely nothing to say

And Yamaguchi, well he just stared 😳

Now these boys didn't act like a complete fool like Tanaka ok

Honestly they are fools everyday so no need to step their game up 🤚🏻

Anyways, you run into the gym to greet everyone and you smile as you see the precious first years 🥺

How freaking CUTE ARE THEY!!!

Tanaka and Noya instantly notice the first years staring at you

Defensive IMMEDIATELY

"Hey 🙅 stop looking at our precious YN!"- Tanaka, blocking their view

"Our YN is to gorgeous for the eyes of commoners"- Noya

Please smack them 🤚🏻

Oop- Ennoshita beat you to it YN gotta be faster 😅

"Noya, Tanaka knock it off!!! Hi there I'm YN, I'm the second year manager! It's really nice to meet you"- you 🤗

After your introduction to the boys, it essentially becomes a game of "who can grab YN's attention more"

"No YN is helping me with my sets!"- Kags shouts

Eventually you get into a rhythm with the boys, who Daichi put you in charge of

You help Kags with his sets, Tsukishima with blocking, Yamaguchi with serving and Hinata with literally everything 😅

It's no wonder that you start to develop feelings for each on of them

You start hanging out with them together and seperate

You'd walk home with Hinata and Kags every night

Trying to keep them from killing each other 😅

Success rate ~75%

You'd have lunch with Tsukishima and Yamaguchi everyday

Not to mention your random trips to the vending machine wirh Kageyama

Your trips to Grandpa Ukai's with Hinata

And your support for Tsukishima with the third gym squad

Seriously, Kiyoko and Yachi had it easy compared to you YN 😅

But no matter what, you couldn't help but care for them all

You knew they all liked you, I mean seriously YN they aren't quiet about it

"YN I LIKE YOU ALOT"- Kageyama

"YN you are so special to me"- Yamaguchi

"YN your the best! I care about you so much!"- Hinata

"You're tolerable YN"- Tsukishima

And you had feeling for all of them

But 👀 there was just no way you could choose

Seriously I don't blame you at all 🥲

You've developed a close relationship with each one and even together

So one day, when your mopping about, Noya and Tanaka come to check on you

"YN HAS SOMEONE HURT YOU?"- Tanaka, panicking

"Was it that annoying guy from Johzenji? I'll kick his-" Noya.

"No no, I'm fine guys just conflicted"- You, sighing

"Run the meaning of conflicted by me again YN"- Tanaka

"She's confused! Right YN"- Noya

You 👉🏻😐 yep

"See and Ennoshita says I wasn't smart"- Noya

"I never said that. I said 'if youd use your brain in school as much as you do on the court you wouldnt have issues'"- Ennoshita says walking by

Once a week you walk home with all 4 of them, giving you the perfect opportunity to spill your guts

You stop, turn to face them and let it all out

"Well to the technical, you and Kageyama already fought may times over YN"- Yamaguchi

"Hey shut it!"- Kageyama

"🙄 YN maybe you should reconsider dating Kageyama and Hinata"- Tsukishima

I won't lie YN, it takes some work

Please when Kageyama and Hinata go on their two week friendship hiatus, it's awkward

But you figure out a great schedule that works well for you and you boys

Everyday, you walk to school with with you boys and home

You stop at Ukai's store and help them study

Please they need all the help they can get and Yachi can only do so much 🤚🏻

Because our precious YN has been asked to be a manager at the first year training camp with Tsukishima 🙌🏻

Midyear queer book recs: it's gay and it slaps part 3! Check out my previous posts for additional recs.

All 4-5 star reads spanning a wide range of styles, genres, and pairings all with happy endings (other than "They Both Die at the End," but that's built into the title). Mostly adult vs. ya but not entirely, and you know what a fan I am of loving and supportive relationships, so you can expect that too.

I love shows like The Owl House or The Two Princes (which is a podcast but shut), where the main characters are queer as fuck, but their main problems aren’t related to their sexualities. Yes, there is a mention of homophobia in TTP, but it’s not their biggest problem. It’s not even an obstacle. They’re just like “yeah, we know ppl aren’t ready to accept gay marriage, but honestly fuck them bc we saved the world twice and were in love”

It’s honestly a nice escape for their audiences, who are also most likely queer themselves and face discrimination bc of it, or fear they will. Seriously, in a fantasy world full of demons and witches and whatnot, homophobia should honestly be the least of your worries, and I’m glad the creators of these shows have acknowledged that.

I would honestly love to see more fantasy based shows/movies where the protagonists main problem isn’t the fact that they’re gay af, but instead having to save the world from some evil creature. And, yes, it’d be nice to not see any homophobia in shows/movies based in our world, it’s sadly unrealistic and honestly makes more sense in fantasy settings imo. Especially if it’s not a common thing to see 2 dudes kissing, but it’s honestly not the weirdest thing these ppl have seen. And yes, I know there’s plenty of books where there’s basically no cishet characters and virtually no homophobia, but it’s honestly more refreshing to see that in shows/movies bc it’s hard to find shows/movies that have any LGBTQIA+ representation in them.

But, that’s just my opinion, I guess.

Out Representative-elect Robert Garcia (D-CA) may not have been able to get sworn in yesterday due to Republicans’ inability to elect a Speaker of the House, but he has plans for when he finally can be sworn in.

When he takes his oath of office, he’ll swear on a copy of the Constitution, and, beneath that, an original Superman #1 comic from 1939, a photo of his parents, and a copy of his citizenship certificate.

Garcia came to the U.S. from Peru with his family when he was five-years-old and has said that naturalization was “his proudest moment” and the reason he started a career in politics. His parents died in 2020 of COVID-19.

He was the youngest and first out LGBTQ+ person elected as mayor of Long Beach, California (a position he served in from 2014 to 2022). During his time as mayor, he worked with businesses to reduce their environmental impacts, filled vacancies on citizen commissions with diverse and female members, and worked to improve local infrastructure as well as financial opportunities for local artists and home-based business owners.

He’s also an avid comic book fan.

In November, he tweeted a photo of the Superman #1 comic along with Amazing Fantasy #15, in which Spider-Man first appeared, saying he didn’t know which one he would first check out from the Library of Congress.

While many members of Congress will be sworn in on Bibles, they are not legally required to do so. Former Rep. – and current Minnesota attorney general – Keith Ellison (D-MN), who was the first Muslim person elected to Congress in 2007, was sworn in on a copy of the Quran owned by Thomas Jefferson.

Theodore Roosevelt wasn’t sworn in with any object after the assassination of William McKinley in 1901. And in 2014 Suzi LeVine was sworn in as U.S. ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein on a Kindle with a copy of the Constitution open.

“I wanted to use a copy that is from the twenty-first century and that reflects my passion for technology and my hope for the future,” she said at the time.

New members of the House can’t be sworn in until a speaker is elected. Yesterday, after three votes, no candidate for Speaker was able to get a majority of votes because of a faction of Republicans voting against Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). The Democrats’ candidate – Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) – got the most votes in each round of voting, and around 20 Republicans – including anti-LGBTQ+ Reps. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Bob Good (R-VA), and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) – voted for Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).

Jordan himself nominated and voted for McCarthy.

The House adjourned without a new Speaker elected.

Interesting analysis of Prodigy’s appearance in X-Factor…if anyone wants to give it a read.

*Honestly…I don’t know HOW I feel about that plot point, if I am being honest.

It’s obvious Williams ending was rushed and she was hurried to explain how Prodigy died. Would more care have been made if there had been less pressure to tie up all the loose ends? Probably.

On the “Battle of the Atom” podcast, Williams more or less admits writers and editors were making changes to the last issues (basically more or less saying the same things Kelly Thompson/Sina Grace/Jeff Lemire have said over the years about lack of control writers really have with the X-Men line).

It’s not like real world stories HAVEN’T popped up in X-Men before- Chance’s church in Fallen Angels Vol.1 was very clearly based off of the Unification Church. Magneto is a concentration camp survivor….just to name a couple examples.

Still- using the name “Buck” Thatcher, essentially making it a very clear it is meant to be Ed Buck…felt and feels a little bit questionable, since we don’t know how the family members of the victims would feel about this…

When reading this issue the first time back in 2021, I did find myself thinking about Rosenberg’s representation of Wolfsbane’s death as an allegory for violence against trans people a few years ago…and the question of whether comics SHOULD be the space to talk about honestly a pretty complex and sensitive issue…

But I do also see the other side of it- in a world where there’s a LOT of debate about LGBTQIA+ rights- isn’t it important to talk about the reality that LGBTQIA+ identities often face a higher likelihood of being victims of violence?

But I also see fans feeling tired of every LGBTQIA+ story focusing around depression, violence, death, suicide, and repression…

The originally planned but ultimately shelved story of Anole killing himself, IS, I think a good example of this problem. Anole HAS been pretty positive representation and the idea of using Victor’s death as a wake up call for Elixir when looking at it now- IS pretty problematic…

I am personally GLAD editorial cut the Anole story and I prefer the direction D+W took instead with Academy X.

I personally didn’t find the issue as graphic as many were critiquing it for online, when it first came out…but I do feel a tad bit uncomfortable that it is based on a real case, in a situation where again, you don’t know how people close to the victims would feel about it being incorporated in fiction….

While I definitely don’t think Williams meant any harm with issue #10…I think the reality is there isn’t a clear answer on this issue of representation, other than if you ARE going to tell these kinds of stories…make sure you are doing it in the most sensitive way possible.

Ok so I see this as one of the few polyships that you could get away with in secret

Like Daichi and Suga don't feel the need to brag about their relationship to others

Unless 👀 they are jealous

Which THANK GOD there isn't a super dramatic person writing these headcannons 😃

So we are going to do these a little different than we normally do

You, Daichi and Suga have already been together for a while now

And nobody knows

Because you all act normal around each other

I mean, Daichi and Suga argue like a married couple constantly, thats no different in private

"I just don't see why you don't put more trust in me"- Suga

"😐🙄 Literally you are the leader of them!"- Daichi

Your relationship doesn't really get in the way much because we just know Daichi and Suga are professionals

And their true pettiness comes to shine when they go to summer training camp

Now Daichi and Suga are level headed

But when it comes to Kuroo and Akasshi 😬

You smile and wave at the boys as you go about your business getting the teams gear together

"Can you believe Kuroo? Like YN would ever go to Nekoma!"- Daichi says

"Akaashi can stop the nice guy crap anytime"- Suga adds

You are completely clueless to your partners frustration

But never fear YN, there is more awkwardness to come 🙌🏻

We all know the training camp for Karasuno doesn't go the best 😬

And it only gets worse the more Kuroo and Akaashi push Daichi and Suga

While our precious angels are running up the hill, Kuroo comes and asks you if you can help the third gym squad later

Suga and Daichi reach the summit, see Kuroo and INSTANTLY run back down the hill 😅

Daichi and Suga pull up behind you as your talking to Kuroo

"Oh hey! Kuroo was just asking me if I could help with their practice later-"

Please you don't even get the final words our before you see Daichi and Suga glaring at Kuroo

Akaashi walks up and asks Kuroo is he asked you to join them

"Well YN what do you say?"- Kuroo asks

"I'd love to-"

"YN is helping US with our synchronized attacks!"- Daichi interrupts

You 👉🏻👀 I am?

"Yeah we need YN more than you do!"- Suga says putting his arm around you

Please they are both so possessive 😅

"Come on YN, let's go"- Daichi says grabbing your arm and pulling you away

Suga walks backwards, literally making this gesture at Akaashi and Kuroo 👇🏻

Kuroo just smirks and Akaashi watches you be dragged away
