WIZARD TRAVEL VLOG
This week I’m in R’lyeh City, South Pacific Ocean, during summer break. I received a visitation passport from my school, Vyr’los University of Occult Sciences. Today I’ll be rating my stay on this travel vlog!
Tumblr media
Picture I took of the city. Super cool view, accommodations for air-breathers and void-breathers were pretty good as well. You do have to pay a fee for a respirator however so come prepared. I booked a room at the Motel 666 on the Main Street. It was pretty nice compared to mortal Motel 6’s. The blood rainfall shower head was really relaxing, it wasn’t too clotted either. Good breakfast. Wi-Fi at the bottom of the ocean was a bit spotty. 8.5/10, would stay here again.
The city was really crazily beautiful and clean, no issues with blood-drinking barnacles or leviathan larvae. Found a really cute ritual resale shop and bought a very pretty cursed abalone talisman. Great souvenir, go for stuff other than the city gift shop stuff. Cheap and overpriced, they use human skin pleather instead of real human skin leather on the souvenir Grimoires.
Had a very good lunch at the local Burger King in Yellow. They had vegetarian options as well as carnivore, sanguine, and omnivore. Went for a barbecue brain coral burger with cheddar and a very nice seaweed coleslaw. Staff was great, sociable and pleasantly surprised that I knew a bit of Old Tongue lol. Seems they get a lot of uptight scholarly types who only want to speak English or Latin. Ugh. I tipped extra. I’d give it a 6/10, only because the burger was very heavy on the mustard.
Finished the day at the Grand Library. A bit of a line for precautionary check in, you have to go through a True Sight check before they allow you in. Very considerate that they don’t want damage to anyone’s brains and/or soul. Sight check went excellently, they do get a few humans down here who don’t test well. Seems they had some blathering idiot wander down here a bit ago complaining about sunken unsinkable ships and exploding submarine refunds. An intern ate him because he was so annoying and honestly I can’t blame them.
The library was magnificent! The architecture was in the Non-Euclidean geometric style, with beautiful frameless candle lighting and individual cubicles and tables. You do need to grab a pair of cleated boots off the shoe rack to use the shelf ladders if you aren’t gravity-resistant or can’t fly, as they’re a bit unreliable. Twisty and upside-down in places, and follows the architectural curve. And the scale of it was astonishing. The most books I’ve ever seen in one place! They had some Old-Kingdom Egyptian classics ofc, a few Educational Necronomicon Textbooks levels 1-7 for student checkout, a bunch of mentally paradoxical novels, an entire Truthful Nonfiction section, and a rare books area that had a Sibylline Scroll and a Inter-Mentalic Elder Tome among other things (you need academic permission for these ones).
They don’t get too many Human students, it was super fun to see how different dimensional cultures interact. Hung out with a shoal of Deep Ones, Tyreemek and Ordantuuk were exchange students at Vyr’los, and I had some snacks with me from the surface so they and their buddies were ecstatic about the taste and concepts of tangerines and ritz crackers. The Library’s help desk was run by a very nice Shoggoth, she appreciated my compliment that her 2,437 turquoise-painted nails were very well done. I was struggling with directions to the Library Café, I don’t speak Shambler and it seems that the Café was a bit difficult to perceive at the time. Could be location, but I was pretty tired as well after a full day.
Ordered a nice steaming hot cup of mint-flavored insani-tea with extra honey and a dream puff pastry for the road. Tea was delicious, just sweet enough & not too hot and not cold either. Dream puff pastry was a little heavy on the powdered sugar, but the nightshade and lavender jelly with cinnamon was good. Came in a very cute paper bag with a little grinning book on it that said: “Recycle! Keep our oceans clean or else!” I’d give the Cafe a solid 9/10, and the wonderful library a very definite 10/10.
Went back to my Motel room for the night, the bioluminescent nighttime lighting is great for good rest. The wiggly-shaped glass aquarium on the bedside table had live eels and purple jellyfish in it and was very calming. I’ll have to remember to feed them in the morning.
Tomorrow will be a solid day of studying, 1/4 day classes, and maybe a trip to the nearby Taco Hell for lunch. I’ve heard they have really good nine-layer dip that Dante gave them 5 stars for. So far this trip has been thoroughly enjoyable, I definitely recommend a visit here, whether for occult academics, touring the city, or to see the nearby deep sea wilderness. There’s definitely a lot to see and do!

DL (sfs, no ads)
Howdy. It's a little pack of 3 skin overlays (pictured above)
I originally made these as tests, but I found them nice enough to deem worthy of release. Two of them have been put out as secret-cc before, and if you have either of them I recommend deleting the files and replacing them with this new, updated, merged package file. I cleaned up some crunchy spots and also there's a bunch of new colors.
All 3 have 30 swatches, 20 solids, 10 gradients. All 3 are found on 4 different body birthmark slots, so you can layer to your heart's content.
Custom thumbnails. Color slider mod compatible. Works for both genders/frames TYAE.
I think that's everything.

Introducing Icha the cult leader
===|0====|0|=====|0|0
Yandere cult leader! Icha who holds rituals towards his god Eros to ensure that y’all’s souls are destined to be tied down together forever in the present and in each lifetime.
Yandere cult leader! Icha who’s usually snarky and foul mouthed on the outside. But is actually calm and pragmatic when he dawns his cult garbs and preaches to his followers how they had to pray to Eros in order to fulfill their pure hearted desires of claiming their soulmate as theirs.
Yandere cult Leader! Icha who resembles a prickly chihuahua whenever you’re not around for him to blatantly fawn over. He’ll snap at anyone and anything since he’s got a very short temperament and is prone to getting violent.
Yandere cult Leader! Icha that has a long history of anger management issues stemming from a ripe age. Where it was documented that he first punched a hole into the wall. Before ruthlessly assaulting a random boy who gave flowers to you before he even got the chance to.
Yandere cult Leader! Icha who’s a total homebody and looks as if he doesn’t work out much with his tall lanky limbs. Rest assured he’s got a sleeper build which helps him in taking care of his ritual sacrifices (His love rivals) in the name of obtaining your love under the jurisdiction of his god Eros.
Yandere cult Leader! Icha who’s such a gentleman whenever it comes to taking care of his darling. He’ll open the doors for you, send you flowers/favorite snacks, write love poems, and promise to never ever leave your side even in death. (Literally)
Yandere cult Leader! Icha that actively vandalizes your things. Drawing ritual like symbols in discreet spots upon your bags, hairbrushes, clothes, and even the back of your phone case. He swears he’s not trying to bully you, it’s just a simple incantation meant to attract you towards and ward off any potential suitors who dare to waste your time via unexplainable deaths.
Yandere cult Leader! Icha who speaks with a harsh stutter and acts like a love drunk fool in your proximity. He’s an awful klutz to the point where he’d always trip and fall over himself due to his eyes being so focused on over analyzing every bit your gorgeous figure.
Yandere cult Leader! Icha that collects anything belonging to you that you’ve thrown out. such as your trinkets, broken pens, used hair ties, clothes you thought to donate, your used empty body wash, and even bubblegum of which you chewed and spat out in the foil wrapper.
Yandere cult leader! Icha who’s so nasty thinking nothing of it when he opens the wrapper to chew the gum savoring the taste of your saliva. Even going as far as to roll the gum under his tongue and leave it there to marinate so he could fully relish in yalls indirect French kiss.
Yandere cult Leader! Icha who spends his time meditating manifestation spells. Trying to summon you out of thin air so he could trap you in his lap and coddle you like the precious babe you are. Making sure to spoil you rotten with his affectionate gestures of love.
Yandere cult Leader! Icha who worship his shrine of you alongside his god Eros. Always paying homage to how you made his heart palpitate with every glance and smile you threw his way. Even if you were just trying to be nice and hardly even knew of his existence.
Yandere cult Leader! Icha who’s not above thinking of kidnapping you and stowing you away within the confines of his basement should his god demand to see progress of his love for you bearing fruit (which is Him having a delulu monologue between him and his god basically encouraging him to act on his selfish desires and monopolize you whole in the name of his pure love for you, his sweet lamb.)

Well, everyone. It turns out Christians have been lining their Bible pages with washi tape to create tabs that make it easier to find the different books and sections! Gasp! I just found out because my YouTube recommendations are 99% bujo supply videos. Naturally, pagans and occultists need to steal this idea for our notebooks immediately.
Tumblr media
I already did this to my reading journal, dividing out the sections, and it works incredibly well. I didn't even use different varieties of washi, just one (matching) kind, which was what I had on hand, but it still made it much easier to find things. Depending on how many sections your book has, you could use different colors of washi tape, though.

Lockdown. 2020. Hector was alone in his one-room flat, keeping himself occupied by studying a number of ancient occult texts. He discovered a secret that allowed him to escape into other worlds, to travel through vast deserts and to view alien stars. Hector was still alone out among the fungal groves and eternal twilights, but there is so much to see—and there’s something else, something that’s just on the tip of his tongue, like a tune that he can just about, almost remember… When restrictions ease, Hector is able to share this secret with his friends, who are at first awed, and then horrified by the things Hector has seen. The things he has done. But that’s nothing compared to what he will do next…
Earworm is a 10k standalone novelette.

Reading Journals!? Why You Really Should!!
Tumblr media
I'm writing this to promote the concept of reading journals in general for occultists!
It often seems like, while a lot of us read a ton, we don't engage enough with what we read. It's very important to think critically about the information we consume.
Keeping records of it can be helpful for that. While not everyone's going to vibe with it, I do recommend giving it a try for most witches, diviners, wizards, etc... you might like it. Keeping a reading journal? It has some advantages IMHO.
I found it works very well for keeping track of my reading goals. It also helped me engage more with what I was reading. I think this produced an altogether more interesting experience when reading fiction, too.
I learned more when reading nonfiction, and it helped prep reviews for this very website, too. It's kind of hard recently, because of health issues, but I want to keep a daily reading habit as best I can. I might change up my journaling format, though, which I'll discuss towards the end of this article.
Tumblr media
To begin, you need a journal. Any blank notebook will work. A lot of people swear by dot grid journals. I use those for most other things. For my reading journal, I bought a pre-printed one called Kunitsa, and there are others on the market, too.
Beyond that, you only need a pen. I use a lot of highlighters and other color in my reading journal, to make tracking things more fun. Next, you're going to want to include a table of contents for your reading journal if possible. In fact, I recommend doing that for all journals, but that's another story entirely. If you pick a pre-printed reading journal like mine, choose one with such a feature.
If you're a DIYer, leave a few blank pages at the beginning of your notebook for the table of contents. Usually four or five pages will do for a table of contents, depending on the size of the journal itself. Including a table of contents can also help get past those first-page jitters if it's a blank book.
A reading journal can include an inventory of your library. My own library is digital because I have to cross the Atlantic on a frequent basis. Those with physical books might find it useful to catalogue everything, particularly favorites.
This could even include where it's stashed. Given that I could easily print a list of mine, my journal doesn't have this, but yours could. You could also organize your library based on the criteria of your choice. I do this digitally, and it can be great to be able to pull out a list of (for example) all the Tarot books I own, favorites, etc..
Tumblr media
Keep track of your reading goals! This is the big one, of course. I try to read at least thirty minutes per day, and I log each day I meet that goal. A reading journal can include a simple daily reading tracker like mine, or variations on that.
Some people might track how many pages they've read, or even chapters, for example. You can, of course, include your To Be Read list, adding to it and crossing out as needed.
Keep track of books, authors and topics. You'll want to include a page or two for each book you read, with meaningful quotations and your own thoughts. Some people get quite elaborate with this, including diagrams, images, and such.
I stick to quoting the parts I found important, then adding my own notes. If you buy a reading journal, choose one formatted for both fiction and nonfiction. These little "spreads" on each book help a ton if you want to prepare reviews later on, or just to keep track of what you’ve read for the future.
Tumblr media
The reading journal I've been using has a section for borrowed books. Since all my books are Kindle, and I don't typically borrow books, I repurposed this for my review schedule. You can create your own spread for that kind of thing if you're doing a DIY approach, which would be even better.
Because I didn't see a use for the first two pages of the notebook, I turned them into a little pocket using washi tape. I figure that if necessary, I can include extra trackers/etc on my own paper in the pocket. I haven't done that yet, but I probably will in the new year. Currently, the pocket only contains some unused stickers.
You could, of course, get much more complicated with a reading journal! It's all up to you. I plan to use a similar setup next time around, but doing it myself in a (larger) dot grid notebook. The preprinted version of a reading journal worked well to get me started. Now that I've got the basics figured out, I want to customize things more.
All and all, I know most occultists love journaling. At least, many of us do. But why don't more of us journal about what we read? Dedicating a notebook just for a reading journal worked great for me, and might work for you, too.
I'd look into different options (preprinted, blank notebooks, digital) before getting started. Don't be afraid to mess up, like with any new notebook. It can become a way of looking deeper into what you're reading, though.
