MY FIRST POSTED WORK EVER!

not exactly brave enough to post this to AO3 so this will have to do for now :)

So i have decided to finally write down my wolfstar fic idea, after years of pondering it i am officially gonna bully myself into doing it. this is mainly a record so i can finally finish something.

Just a minor little description before i slip and slide into it:

Two souls, like twin stars, navigate the labyrinthine corridors of a forgotten mansion in the velvety embrace of a twilight tapestry." Love blossoms like the rarest of midnight flowers, unfurling in moonlit poetry and shadowy confidence. Where time is but an ink spill on the canvas of chance and every murmur of the wind is a song to a love that transcends existence.

(anywayyy thats that, jesus it sounds so vague wtf. ill update when i finish writing it, gonna add a tiny bit of Jegulus in there. )

I really gave away nothing, and just yapped for like 80 words. this will be fun, it will be good for me i think.

Marauders/Emeralds Era Characterisation/Builds/Backgrounds in my fics

-I’ve seen a few newbies looking for head-canons to try out in their fics. Feel free to use any of these.

-there is some variation, of course, plus some of my fics are set at the younger Hogwarts ages, but usually in this order from tallest to shortest as adults:

Remus Lupin (6’ 1”-6’4”) - typically an inch or two taller than James, but rarely quite tall. Lanky, long-limbed with curly dirty blond/light brown hair. Sometimes, he’s stronger than he looks, other times he’s a wet noodle. Disabled (usually physically, but sometimes with Tourette’s or Epilepsy). Introvert. Classic literature/fantasy novel buff. Neutral Good. Welsh. Bisexual with a preference for men. Smokes occasionally, prefers weed.

James Potter (around 6’) - athletic with strong upper body, solid but rarely super muscular. Wears glasses, intelligent, and has ADHD. Chaotic Good. Messy curls. Wide open music taste, but always Queen and a sucker for a ballad. Deep voice. Extrovert. Deeply romantic. Usually Desi via Euphemia, but love the Latinx James hc. Bisexual>Pansexual (used interchangeably for James). Non-smoker.

Barty Crouch Jr. (around 6’) - athletic, but slim. This man has no arse. Stronger than he looks. British, but love the hc that he’s Italian. Burnt out gifted kid, occasionally tech savvy. Heavy-metal and emo fan. Usually has ODD. Extrovert. Chaotic Evil. Omnisexual or Bi with a preference for mascs. Often with tattoos and/or piercings. Heavy smoker.

Dorcas Meadowes (5’9-5’11) - athletic, or slender with some curves. Black, British, and the most intelligent of the group. Long braids. Ambivert. Love her characterisation as a good Slytherin. True Neutral. Listens to R&B, but secretly loves pop music, mostly sapphic artists. Occasionally has Depression. Neither butch or femme exclusive, bit of both. Bisexual or Lesbian. Non-smoker.

Evan Rosier (5’9”-5’10”) - painfully average floppy-haired blond white boy with a tan. Neutral Evil. Solid build. Grunge music fan. Piercings rather than tattoos. French or British. Ambivert. Demisexual. Prefers edibles or shrooms to smoking.

Regulus Black (5’7”-5’10”) - usually a hair taller than Sirius, but he was shorter by a bit once or twice. Chin-length wavy hair. French. Writer (poetry) and/or musical prodigy. Introvert. Slim to average build. Lawful Evil. Anxiety, OCD, and/or Autistic. Classical music or jazz, nothing with lyrics. I have written him as intersex (or trans in a few WIPs), but usually a gay cis man. Non-smoker, mostly. Social drinker, but overestimates his tolerance.

Sirius Black (5’8”-5’10”) - most attractive amongst the guys. Usually slim, but strong and flexible. Highly intelligent, but easily bored and uninterested in academics. Artistic (painter) and/or musical (percussion instruments). Rock/grunge junkie. Shoulder-length hair and tattooed. Chaotic Good/Chaotic Neutral. Sometimes ADD, often emotionally stunted with abandonment issues. Heavy drinker, occasional smoker.

Mary McDonald (5’8”-5’10”) - depends on the fic, but always in heels so she seems taller. Curvy queen. Most attractive and socially aware of the entire group, extremely trendy, designs/sews a lot of her own clothes, high-femme. Prefers soulful music and light pop. Popular, but keeps her emotions buried. High expectations. Does not suffer fools. Lawful Neutral. Black, British, and extroverted. Natural hair. Social smoker and drinker. Neurotypical. Aromantic or lesbian.

Lily Evans (5’6”-5’8”) - very curvy to plus-size. Super long dark red hair, often braided with a fringe. Academic overachiever, Lawful Good, pretty, and fiery/defensive when confronted. Fantasy book nerd. Introvert. Neurotypical with anxiety. Pop music girlie. Artistic (usually sketching). Welsh/British. Non-smoker. Bisexual>Pansexual (used interchangeably for Lily) or Femme Lesbian, but rarely wears make-up.

Marlene McKinnon (around 5’6”) - athletic/ stocky queen with thick thighs. Blonde, usually in a ponytail and shoulder-length with fringe. Scottish/British. Music-obsessed (mostly 70-80s rock) and lives in band tees and Docs. Tattooed. Extrovert. Chaotic Neutral. Social smoker, but rarely. ADHD. Butch lesbian who loves eye-liner. Occasional short skirt to break Dorcas’s brain.

Peter Pettigrew (5’5”-5’7”) - stocky/plus-size, straight blond hair. British. Logical and strategic, but struggles with abstract concepts. Chess player, comic book collector, video game/movie buff, and weed fiend, but non-smoker. People-pleaser and supportive of his friends, but ambivalent around strangers. Ambivert. Asexual, unlabeled, Questioning.

Pandora Lovegood (5’-5’3”) - always petite and slim. Long blonde hair, usually loose or in elaborate half-updos (like Phoebe Buffet in Friends). Hippie vibes and high-femme. Usually Autistic. Ambivert -depends on who she’s with. French. Animal lover, compassionate, high-strung, a gossip but rarely maliciously, collects crystals. Pansexual. Non-smoker, but open to experimentation. Rarely drinks.

Fic recs?? It’s so hard to find good stuff😩

i’ll list a few of my recent favs, but first i’ll give u some tips & secrets ab how i find new fics 🥰

my first & biggest source—i snoop on everyone’s bookmarks. like everyone. if i read a fic i liked, i check that author’s bookmarks. if someone comments on my fic, i check their bookmarks. if i come across someone talking ab fic on the tl, i go to their ao3 and check their bookmarks. i’ve found so many great fics just by snooping on what other ppl are reading 🫶

my second most-used tactic: searching for tags & using filters. if i’m looking for something specific, i search the tags/pairings i want and make sure to exclude things i don’t want (i.e. i don’t usually want to read jegulus, so i make sure to exclude that pairing in my results. same goes w tags/ratings/warnings u don’t want). i’ll sort by date, kudos, and hits separately, and add anything that sounds interesting to my bookmarks to sort through later. ao3 really has the best filtering and tagging system out there, but a lot of times we don’t use it to its full capacity! if you want to read something specific there’s a very good chance someone has written it, you just need to search and filter your results so that you’re not just seeing the most recent stuff! (i also filter by word count a lot too bc i’m not always in the mood for something multi-chaptered or something that will take me multiple days to finish reading)

last, sometimes i’ll go into the main pairing tag i’m looking for and sort by kudos/hits/date/whatever and jump to like….the 30th page of results. there’s sooooo much stuff i miss just bc it gets lost in the flow of new/popular fics, so jumping to random deep-dive search results will help you find new stuff & come across fics & authors you haven’t seen before 💞💖💘

y’all know i am typically NOT an exes to lovers kind of girlie. i find this trope very hard to read most of the time bc i am a huge baby, but this one was a quick read and the plot was overall very sweet! remus broke up with sirius & left the country out of the blue almost 10 years ago, and then comes back to town with a fiancé. sirius learns very quickly that he’s still hurt, and remus learns very quickly that he might have jumped the gun all those years ago.

It's a tiny little place, squeezed between a bookstore and a small café advertising herbal teas and fruit scones. The frontage - which Remus is quite certain used to be a peeling, sun-flaked shade of orange - is now a deep black, dark as the Whitby jet in the shop up the hill, and the bay window has been filled up with all manner of trinkets; tiny wooden boxes engraved with ivies and vines, and leather-bound books and silver knots worked into rings and necklace pendants, and little pools of crystal stones in lavender and plum and delicate, glossy rose-pink.

Remus is a lonely painter. Sirius is a shopkeeper who might just have a solution for that. Summertime on the Yorkshire coast, with crystals, and candle-smoke, and sunshine.

A/N: Tonight I am salty about Remus' lack of bravery and Peter's betrayal thus this. Also mentally unstable James, my beloved.

He had many names.

They called him the wizard, the stargazer, the fool. They pointed at him and giggled, gossiped behind his back as his shadow lingered through the void, dazed and numb, nothing but a stray ghost who wandered around barefoot and cold, just a white entity.

They called him possessed, a predator in disguise, a monster. They never looked into his eyes, the eyes that were eerily serene and beautiful. He had the eyes of a daydreamer, a forlorn soul lost in nowhere.

He had many names.

But no matter what he was called, he was always the infamous mad painter, the insane murderer of Godric's Hollow. He was the one who had slashed his friends' throats mercilessly, feasting on their flesh gleefully, leaving them to rot for days.

"Are the tales true? Has this boy killed his friends?"

"Yes. No one knows what really had happened that night. All we know is that he had snapped after recieving the news of his lover's death and had killed two of his friends in cold blood the morning after, stabbings their corpses numerously, until they fell apart."

"That's horrible!"

"That is not even half of it! It had been a bloodbath. He had splashed their blood on the wall, painting a huge dog with their blood! A dog surrounded by the stars. They say it looked like the Grim!"

"But he looks so sweet and innocent."

"The innocent ones are the most dangerous."

He had many names.

The forgotten one was James Potter.

James Potter, the mad painter of Godric's Hollow who had murdered Peter Pettigrew and Remus Lupin with no remorse, for their betrayal and cowardice had taken away his brightest star.

He was James Potter, Sirius Black's maniac lover.

Marauders Era Fame Au Fic Idea

Literally just based around the black family but it’s a non-magical au where the black family all share a collective of large companies.

- Bellatrix and her Husband are in line to become the heads of her parents company but plans on planting a crime on her husbands name to take full ownership of the company.

- Narcissa has a successful career in ice skating but her new husband wants her to quit because “she’s more likely to become injured if she continues”, when in actuality he wants to make her quit so she has less independence. But what happens when she meets a young business woman Evelyn Zanbini who influences her decision of her passion or “the love of her life”.

- Andromeda had always been interested in the musical industry but her parents believed it was a stupid idea and wouldn’t benefit her. But her entire ideals change when she falls in love with a young man named Ted Tonks and Andromeda runs away from her life to create music with her Fiancé.

- Similar to his cousin Andromeda, Sirius Black ran away from home newly 19 to start a band called “Marauders” as leader singer with his found family. Remus Lupin(Bassist)who was originally a freelance singer and artist. James Potter(Guitarist) a starting actor and short film director. And Peter Pettigrew(drums), a known painter and poetic writer.

- With his brother leaving the family, Regulus Black takes on the soon owner his father’s company and becoming a well known ice-skater. But what happens when he strays away from his parents ideals and becomes a actor. And how will he react when gets casted in a short series and falls for his co-star who he doesn’t know his is brother’s best friend and bandmate

Written for @wolfstarmicrofic prompt: Blooming. One of these days I’ll actually write a microfic (key word micro). Tw: light mention of grief, depression, low self esteem. But nothing too heavy.

A scene from an AU where Sirius commissions a wizarding artist to decorate his godson’s room.

Sirius tried not to hover. Going up to the second floor to “pick up a few things” was a perfectly reasonable activity. It certainly wasn’t a terrible excuse to peek into his godson’s new room and check on the unfortunately attractive painter he had hired.

Remus Lupin. His status as a werewolf was well known among the wizarding community, but there wasn’t a better artist out there. Even the most prejudiced of wixen families had begrudgingly hired Lupin so they could show off the breathtakingly beautiful paintings adorning their children’s walls.

If Sirius had to hear one more piece of gossip about the roaring dragons on the little Malfoy’s walls, he would spontaneously self combust. To prevent this, he had finally asked his assistant to arrange for Lupin to paint Harry’s walls. He’d be damned if his little Prongslet missed out on anything, regardless of what Molly Weasley said about spoiling him. They had both already lost too much, to not have this glimpse of happiness. The poor baby already had trouble sleeping in his room, preferring to climb in with Sirius every night. But as much as Sirius loved to cuddle with his godson to soothe his own nightmares of the war, he knew Harry needed to start sleeping in his own room. He hoped that soothing wall illustrations would ease the transition.

But he didn’t know what to expect from Lupin. What if he wasn’t as good as they said? He already had reservations about anything Narcissa and Lucius held in high regard. The dragon painting was probably horrendously gaudy. It would certainly match their personalities then. Sirius snorted thinking about the pretentiousness of the peacocks wandering around the Malfoy property.

With that thought, Sirius drew himself to his full height and knocked on his godson’s door. Receiving no answer, he slowly pushed it to see Lupin calmly sketching indecipherable smudges on the wall. Sirius frowned, wondering how on earth anyone saw artistic values in the strange lines the curly haired man had drawn. A sudden surge of self disgust rose within him. Here he was, a rotten godfather, who couldn’t even commission a proper painting for his godson. What had James and Lily been thinking, appointing him?

Still receiving no acknowledgement of his presence, Sirius felt decidedly annoyed. He slightly coughed, and then cringed internally. This is what has happened to you after spending so much time arguing with Umbridge in court, he thought to himself.

Lupin turned and gave him a wry smile. “Lord Black, my apologies.”

“No worries. Is there anything you need? Tea, water?” Sirius really needed a new excuse to come back in twenty minutes. There were only so many things he could “forget” to pick up from the attic.

“No thank you,” Remus turned to face him fully now, giving him an amused look. He probably knew exactly what Sirius was up to, Sirius griped internally. It wasn’t his fault those amber eyes practically saw through him.

“Actually there is something you can help me with. On the note your assistant passed on, she said you would like a Quidditch scene as well as a garden. Do you have any specific requests for the plants?”

Lost in the curious amber eyes that gazed back at him, Sirius took a little longer to process the question.

“Lilies,” he blurted. “And then lotus, jasmine, hibiscus. The rest can be typical magical plants that would be found in India.”

Remus paused before answering. He set his paintbrush down to brush a golden curl out of his eyes, revealing more of a long silver scar running down his jaw into his shirt collar. Sirius had the sudden wild desire to kiss it all the way down to its end.

“That sounds lovely,” replied Remus softly.

The combination of realizing his attraction to Lupin as well as the topic of the flowers made it difficult for Sirius to get his words out. He quickly nodded, and moved his gaze down at Remus’s art palette.

“I’ll leave you to it then,” he choked out. He had turned to leave when he heard Remus’s voice.

“I don’t mind an audience, Lord Black,” said the artist mildly. “You can stay and watch if that’s what you prefer.”

Flushing, Sirius nodded and took a seat on the charmed rocking chair in the corner of the room. Remus watched him get settled, gave him another amused look, and turned back to the wall to return to his work.

Sirius soon found himself entranced in the artist’s confident and smooth movements. Within the hour, he could do nothing but gape at how strangely placed lines became outlines of lotus and lily flowers blooming in ponds, Quidditch players on broomsticks, and two mischevious looking Gryffindors exploring a forest.

After a few quiet hours, Remus broke the silence.

“May I ask the significance of the flowers, Lord Black?”

Sirius swallowed before responding. “My godson’s mother and grandmother. They had beautiful gardens and loved tending to them. I want him to go to sleep surrounded by their love.”

Remus’s gaze turned softer, yet without the usual pity that Sirius hated seeing in other people.

“That’s beautiful. I will do everything I can to capture your vision,” he replied. He reached out to touch Sirius’s arm, lighting a fire of desire inside the wizard.

Sirius felt the sudden urge to hug Lupin, or even better to snog his face off. And then late at night, confide all of his secrets, his desires, his worst fears to the man.

“Could I?” blurted Sirius, motioning to the space next to Remus’s stool. Remus looked surprised, but in the next moment smiled so brilliantly that Sirius almost cried at his sheer beauty.

“Please do.” As Remus returned to his work, Sirius continued to watch him paint with rapt attention, stealing looks to admire the way Remus’s face contorted into a slight frown when he perfected a tiny detail, or how his features turned relaxed and peaceful as he lost himself in the painting. Sometimes, Sirius swore he could feel the artist stealing looks at him as well.

A few years later, Sirius sat in the same position, admiring the blooming lotus flower in the painted pond. As his eyes moved toward the edge of the water to take in a miniature black haired man, a curly haired artist, and a messy haired little boy picnicking joyfully, he couldn’t help but feel that everything was going to be alright.
