Jojo's Actor Au
-All the villains are the opposite of their characters and are actual sweethearts in real life
-Kira is so shy in real life
-Diavolo did not like the dye they used for his hair because it was difficult to get off after shooting was done
-Dio's Wrryy was an actual accident. When they were filming the scene where he first became a vampire, he just said it. The cast and crew loved it and it stuck ever since. The same applies to the Muddas as well.
-Dio says Wrry a lot when the cameras are not rolling especially when he gets startled.
-Poor Dio gets pranked by everyone especially Jonathan and Jotaro. Everyone loves hearing him says Wrry or Muda xD
-Jonathan, Jotaro and Joseph are actually brothers in real life
-Diego is Dio's twin brother and as a result people confuse the two much to their amusement. Dio is taller and more muscular and Diego is the smaller twin. Also Diego has shorter hair than Dio.
-Giorno is Dio's real son and his oldest child. Ungalo is the last born and was born when Phantom Blood was released. Yes Lisa is his daughter xD He kind of adopted her even though she is an adult because they have a strong bond due to Lisa playing his baby sister in a movie years ago
- Dio went through a terrible divorce around the time of Phantom Blood
-Lisa is much younger than her character xD
-Kars and Dio always flirt with each other whenever they see each other to the point where everyone ships them, something they are aware of.
-Dio's Stardust Crusaders costume was actually his idea. He wanted his character to be as outrageous and sexy as possible hence the crotch spot xD
-Kars was uncomfortable with his outfit due to the cold temperatures where they were shooting
-Stardust Crusaders and Battle Tendency were shot at the same time
-The Villains Club which are all the main Jojo Villains are all besties and get along well. There is that occasional spat in the Villain house between Dio and Kira over stupid shit which gets resolved later. These bitches always hang out and do karaoke and stuff
-All the various Jojo casts from different generations all do karaoke on Sundays as part of their tradition.
-There was one funny karaoke incident that Jolyne filmed. This incident had Kars, Dio,Funny Valentine, Jotaro, Jonathan,Joseph, Caesar, Giorno,Diavolo, Diego, Johnny, Pucci, Kira and Josuke all singing and dancing to one of Aogiri's hit tracks and actually doing the dance moves. Giorno and Josuke were the ones that taught the others. Jotaro fucked up in some parts making everyone laugh. The video went viral and Aogiri found it hilarious and reached out to the guys and they all became friends
-Giorno and Josuke hit the high notes and Diego, Kira and Kars did the rapping. Dio was enjoying himself a lot because he loves dancing and being an idiot on set xD. Dio also did some rap parts much to everyone's surprise and he was good at it.
-Giorno, Jolyne, Anasui, Lisa Lisa, Weather Report, and Josuke love Aogiri and would blast their music all the time.
-Their fave members:
Giorno: Eren, Kaneki
Jolyne: Eren (she has a crush on him xD)
Anasui: Light, Lelouch
Lisa Lisa: Kaneki, Ichigo
Weather Report: Izuku, Ichigo
Josuke: Eren, Kaneki, Lelouch
-When Jolyne got to meet Eren in person, she almost screamed and fainted because of her crush on him
-Lisa Lisa is actually the clumsiest Jojo family member and occasionally crashes into shit a lot making everyone worry about her safety
-According to Jotaro, Josuke eats the most out of everyone and always steals snacks from the snack bar
-Pucci was scared of Dio at first but once he realized how sweet he was in real life, he relaxed.
-Dio would scare many people at first due to how terrifying his character was but meeting him in-person shocks many
-The Jojo that is similar to the character is Jonathan, something he finds funny
-Little Dio and Little Jonathan are friends in real life and go to the same school. Both of them are now grown up and are successful actors. The same applies to the baby versions of the others
-Everyone calls Funny Valentine Barbie because of the pink outfits and the hair. He loves the name and cracks Barbie jokes on set.
-Diego injured himself during the filming of the race scenes.

Now that I think about it, in your AmonSasa comics (I LOVE them btw, they are adorable), Amon still has both arms... BUT consider the additional angst if Amon survived but lost his arm? On one hand Kaneki is so relieved Amon is alive, but on the other hand oH No I CuT His ARM OFF! Poor Sasaki has no idea why he simultaneously feels this amount of relief and guilt towards this investigator he just met, oh no, why is he crying, this is so embarrassing... And Amon is just frozen, processing it all.
YEAHHHH When I originally drew the comic I think it slipped my mind, admittedly lol, but I've actually thought about it a lot it
I think, similar to other CCG members that had lost limbs in the Owl Operation (Juuzou, Kuroiwa), Amon would eventually be fitted with a prosthetic. Ooh, maybe when Haise and Amon first meet they shake hands, but when their hands meet and Haise stares down at them his face inexplicably falls. The inexplicable feeling of relief he'd felt (so much that he could almost cry) is suddenly swept up and replaced by guilt (also so much that he could also cry, Kaneki's putting Haise through a rollercoaster).
I'd imagine that Akira's definitely there too, and she asks Haise what's wrong, and oh, god, is he crying? He's holding Amon's hand in a death grip, Amon can't really pull away, but that probably doesn't matter since he's frozen in place anyway. On one hand oh god Haise might know something, or maybe he's making him remember, this is what the CCG was so worried about, and Akira's concerned and maybe she and Amon glance at each other worriedly, and Haise's confused but he's also shaking, it's a Mess of a "reunion"/"meeting".
Haise shakes it off, somehow, and decides to hang around with Amon for a lot of the day. When they're alone he apologizes profusely, says that he doesn't know what came over him, and Amon doesn't really know what to say, if there's anything he can say, poor guy probably just has to do his best to awkwardly reassure him LOL.
Haise probably plays it off casually from there, but he still feels a strange pinch of guilt when he looks at Amon's shoulder, or his arm. Kaneki no doubt feels awful about it, maybe one time Haise apologizes about it (for it?) to Amon. Amon is confused (and worried, about his memories) and Haise snaps out of it and says that he's not really sure why he apologized. Amon feels compelled to think that it wasn't Haise that apologized, but he also doesn't want to think about it.
Oh also some additional thoughts with Haise and Akira (First of all sidenote, someone mentioned in a reply that they were wondering if Sasaki would be mentored with Amon or Akira, I imagine he would still be paired with Akira, for a variety of reasons. Like I said while the CCG thinks Amon would be useful for 'extermination' operations, they aren't very comfortable about him and Haise getting too close, also I feel like since Amon would be promoted (he was promoted to First Class I think? in canon after his 'death') he would be busy with operations for higher ranking investigators, and Akira herself was specifically chosen in canon because of her ability to comfort Haise)
That said I think Akira, already weary, would try to keep the slight fiasco of Amon and Haise's first meeting out of discussion if possible, but one day Haise can't help but ask her about what happened to Amon's arm. Akira probably doesn't know what to answer, maybe keeps it vague, then Haise asks if it's similar to Investigator Juuzou, who lost his leg in the Owl Operation, and she has to swiftly shut him down before he can press further. It's not much, but it's a piece of a clue, something that must connect Haise and Kaneki.
Maybe Haise tries asking Kaneki about it once, though the answer isn't too different from what he says in canon ('It's my fault').
Sorry my brain runs on angst can you tell LOL, Amonhaise can be so silly but they can also be such a somber mess under the right circumstances. I think Haise would be confused and lost about it and how it makes him feel, but it would eventually become a massive tell towards his past. Ough thank you again for the banger ask

*****Manga Monday 03*****
Tokyo Ghoul Volume 3
Summary:
Meet Kaneki who has discovered a new evil in his world. The doves are ambitious, clever and completely ruthless when it comes to their duties. It gets harder and harder for Kaneki to draw the line between good and evil. The doves are protecting human society but they also killed the innocent Ryouko in front of her daughter. What’s right and wrong? Is it wrong for Touka to protect Hinami?
Questions that Kaneki doesn’t know the answer to…
Poor Kaneki
New characters you will meet in this volume:
Ruisawa
Ippei Kusaba
Nakajima
Ayato
Kie Muramatsu
Quotes I particularly liked:
"I’ll change that. This world is wrong" - Amon
"Feeding time" - Kaneki
"Don’t make me a murderer"  - Kaneki
"Is it okay for me to live…?" - Hinami
My thoughts:
Kaneki is different than the other ghouls around him. And slowly but surely it shows.  Not only in his confusion and acceptance of himself as ghoul but also in a scientific way. Only one eye transforms, he regenerates not as fast as other ghouls and now we also learned that he does not have the same high RC- Factors than the others. He therefore is invisible for the human technology so far. He literally has a green card for both sides (even if he smells like a woman in one of those worlds). But, and that is the important part, Kaneki chooses not to stay invisible. We see him crossing his own morals for the first time and actively hurting people to rescue the ones close to his heart. And he does it in his ghoul form while still being human. Being himself. Even though he has some minor problems with the aftermath of his actions. If you haven’t guessed it… im talking about the fight of Kaneki vs. Amon. That’s what this volume is all about. Showing us the reality of what happens when ghouls and doves join a meeting together. The extremes both will go to! But I also have to say that we see two types of fights going on in front of us. And I find it to be an interesting parallel. On the one side you have Kaneki and Amon doing their worst. Physically and verbally. They’re both talking and trying to convince the other one of their perspectives. Kaneki now standing on the ghoul side. A shocker for himself. The fascinating thing is that they are actually listening to each other. Having even some understanding for each other (not much but some).
On the other hand you have the fight between Touka, Hinami  and Mado. They are also fighting. And yes also physically and verbally. And yes they are also listening to each other. But understanding is a thing that does not happen. Take Touka who is so so hurt of everything what humans,or should I better say the doves, have done to her (and her family?) that she can’t think straight when a dove hurts one of her own. She only sees one possible way to deal with this situation and protect the ones who are still there. Revenge. And she would risk everything for it. Even herself. And she can’t let loose. The others pain is her pain. And by her way of protecting she accidentally endangers others. Take Kaneki who had more than luck not to be discovered by the technology of the doves or Hinami who because of the attack prior to the doves from Touka is now being hunted. She means good but does harm. She can’t control herself. She is a loose cannon. And therefore reminds me of Mado. I could imagine that Mado once was like Touka and that Touka has the potential to become just like Mado.
Mado is absolutely brilliant, mad and dangerous. And long long gone. He also gives himself to his cause. He is a hunter and collector of rare trophies. He is beyond revenge. He is unreachable. With no clear thought or basic reasoning. He himself is not only collecting the most deadly weapons but he has become the deadliest. And tragically he is not able to wield it anymore. Touka and Mado are screaming, yelling and riling themselves up to see each other loose control.
And poor Hinami is in the middle of all of it. The one everyone (on the ghoul side) wants to protect but simply can’t be, because Hinami sees herself as guilty. Should she be alive? Does she deserve to live? Can she even survive in this harsh reality? When she sees Mado she does not seek out revenge. She realises that that won’t bring her parents back or take her pain away. It only hurts. Hurts so much. And when she sees how cruel and vile Mado is, by recognising Mado's weapon as her mothers and fathers kagune even then she doesn’t go further then protecting Touka from his attacks. She would have let Mado kill her. And she would also be dead if it wasn’t for Touka finally reaching for "her" revenge.
One detail that I found pretty interesting was the marriage band of Mado on his attached hand. I don’t believe that he is still married. The guy is way beyond saving (mentally). But what I could imagine is that he was married and lost his partner to a ghoul accident and that’s also why he went mental. Maybe for him revenge turned into obsession. I mean the guy would have done anything to get his hand(s) on Hinami as a future weapon. Speaking of being head over heels.
Going back to Amon whom I mentioned earlier. I believe him to be a very tragic character. Right from the start we did not see him happy once. All he seems to send into the universe is misery. He definitely has some burden to carry. Personally we still don’t know what exactly happened in his past. Sure he lost some people in his life but I don’t think they were that close to him. But Amon seems to have a gift. Empathy. He is full with it. We see it at the memorial. How he treats the stranger who has just lost his colleague. And of course when Mado dies and Amon finds him (I pretty much doubt that Mado would have showed the same empathy if the roles would have been reversed). That’s also why I believe that he was able to listen and understand Kaneki. Sure he also was confused. Kaneki is not you’re average ghoul. First holding back, not even using his kagune. Amon did not even believe that he was an actual ghoul. Then of course Kaneki had to fight for real but he did something that I think no ghoul has ever done to Amon. He showed mercy. And that exactly planted something in Amon. And I don’t think that Amon likes that. It’s nice to see the world in black and white. It’s easy to find his way around and to draw lines without crossing them… even easier. But now he has a problem. A problem he is not alone with. But I doubt that Kaneki will help in the near future (but I hope so). I could imagine that Amon and Kaneki could one day fight for the same cause or at least at each others sides.
This volume we have been blessed again with the presence of Yomo. Yomo being the lifebelt for Kaneki after he looses control of his ghouls side. Attacking Yomo as a consequence. But Yomo apparently doesn’t mind. In general… Yomo gives me good uncle vibes. He is the one you call when you need a ride home from a party because you couldn’t hold your liquor. A place to feel safe without much judging.
I’m glad that Mado is gone. Don’t get me wrong he was an interesting first villain but I didn’t see a chance for him to survive if Hinami was suppose to live. Mado is a bloodhound that doesn’t let loose. And maybe it gives Touka some kind of closure. But I don’t think so. But what I do hope is that Hinami actually got through to Touka. Maybe seeing how Hinami hurt differently than Touka, it could give Touka a wake up call.  But than again… we still don’t know exactly what happened to her but we get to know someone from her past. Ayato. Who he is I don’t know. But he left Touka. Of his own free will. That must have hurt differently. Kaneki has also done some work on himself. He now seeks to find his place in the world. He recognised his power or rather said his influence on Amon and that got him thinking… maybe he is really part of both worlds. We shall see. But still for that to happen he needs to get control of the ghoul inside him. And a nutrition plan.
The last chapter was a nice edition and showed the loss for Amon that Mado is. Amon was his student. He learned so much from him. I think they were partners for four years and this time Amon learned a lot from him. I have to say that Mado was crazy yes. But he was a great mentor. One of the best. That’s why Amon now is one of the best as well… so Mado's legacy lives on.
Little by little we get more and more details about how the doves work and function. It seems to be a huge network that includes the humans as "spies". They have really good technology to identify ghouls and their weapons are recycled and deadly.
I think prior to this post I said that Uta and Yomo were my faves so far. Please put Amon on this list aswell. I like him pretty much (not only because of his sportsplan) but for the potential future I mentioned earlier. I can see "good" things coming our way (maybe not for him… or anyone). But I think that’s it for this volume! I will see y’all next Monday! Bye bye
Please leave your thoughts and be kind and don’t spoiler anything!
Thank you for taking your time!
Please feel free to discuss your thoughts, I would like to hear them!
I will see you in a week with a new volume!

Oky, I feel that the other request was not very good😓 so I can ask Kaneki and Kenma with a s / o that lock them together in a handcuff (L and Light style) but he ends up forgetting where he put the keys. Lmao, it was funny to think about it for some reason and I hope you are not confused (obs: s / o is not know their Yan side)
Don’t worry your head about it, I still had some fun with it😉. But since you requested two of my favorite boys I’m happy😆.
Tw: Yandere themes, being locked together
Handcuffed together
Ken Kaneki
Tumblr media
🔲He would be totally flabbergasted when you one day suddenly appear with handcuffs, telling him that you would want to try this out, having seen it in a couple of movies before and wanting to know how it feels like to be locked up together. Kaneki would totally stop with whatever he was doing, staring shocked at you. Locked...together? Wait! Do you mean that?! H-he would be so close to you...Whilst Kaneki wouldn’t mind that fact, he does feel also pretty nervous about it. But in the end he would agree, mainly because he doesn’t want to upset you.
🔲It’s no wonder that the poor boy forgot where he put the keys after being locked up together with you, he was totally spilled all over the place with his emotions after all. He couldn’t concentrate properly, a pink blush visible on his face and a absolute stuttering mess. You two were so close! So when you suddenly told him after a while that you were now satisfied and wanted to be unlocked, he at first felt a bit disappointed. That was before he went suddenly in panic mode, realizing that he totally forgot where he had put the keys.
🔲He’s so sorry for this! He promises, he didn’t make this up or planned this! Kaneki would be totally embarrassed about this, instantly starting to search for the key, dragging you in the process along with him. It seems like destiny wanted to give you firsthand an experience about how it is if two people are forcefully locked together. Kaneki could of course just try to break the chain with his powers, but we’re going to assume that his darling at that time didn’t know about his true identity. He didn’t want you to be scared and for sure didn’t want to hurt you either.
🔲It would get embarrassing if someone of you two suddenly has to go to the toilet, especially if you two are different genders Kaneki could die out of shame right now. He would probably end up calling Hide so that guy can help you two. He knows that he’ll get most likely teased for the rest of his life by him for this. But as much as he would like to stay with you like this, he doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable. Hopefully Hide will either find the keys or know another solution. In either way, Kaneki would apologize for this at least ten times afterwards, definitely not able to get much sleep the following night since the memories of being so close to you will keep him up for hours, heart fluttering in his chest.
Kenma Kozume (Aged Up)
Tumblr media
🐱Kenma might not give you that much of a reaction when one day you suddenly appear with handcuffs, explaining to him that you were challenged by one of your friends and need to lock yourself up with him. It won’t be at least that much of a visible reaction, but in reality he’s totally flustered about this. But different from Kaneki he would be a lot more smooth about this, seeing it as a chance to spend more time with you, even being able to stay really close to you without having to justify his actions by saying he wants to spend more time with you.
🐱Want me to be honest? That guy might have just said he forgot where he put the keys for the simple reason to have an excuse to be locked up together with you for a while longer. That guy is such a clingy and cuddly guy, people might get confused when they see his true colors since many think he would be absolutely against any physical affection. But he might have forgotten it for the simple reason that he got a bit lost in the moments, most likely just sitting down and cuddling with you whilst playing one of his video games. Would be a bit too chill when admitting he ended up forgetting where he put the keys.
🐱It would be a lie if Kenma would deny that he didn’t try to coax you into cuddling a bit more with him afterwards, to calm down and think rationally about it. With the way he’s acting it’s no wonder that you might accuse him of just lying to you to have an excuse to be so close to you. Would constantly tell you to calm down whilst you start searching frantically for the goddamn keys. Kenma would quite literally hug you from behind, partially to just stop you from finding the keys. Can you please stop and just cuddle with him for about five more minutes? You hurt his wrist if you keep pulling so tightly.
🐱But Kenma also knows when he has to stop, noticing when you’re about to explode and would end up searching with you together for the keys. He’s way more collected than Kaneki, meaning if he thinks carefully about it he might just remember where he put those keys. If you two don’t find the keys Kenma would need to call Kuroo in hopes of help (he could actually stay like this for a while longer, but he better does not tell you this). Let’s be honest, Kuroo would break out in laughter the moment he sees you two together, teasing the hell out of you two before helping to separate you two. You have honestly all reason to doubt that Kenma is serious about his apology afterwards, his behavior before giving you all the reason too. Make a mental note to never suggest something like this again or else you’ll fall into another trap set by him.

It took a couple days more than I expected since I was busy and distracted by Chen Gong memes, but I finally finished Ishida’s review which is essentially him rambling about his favourite parts about the Tokyo Ghoul S movie lol.
The other thing of note is that we finally know the kanji for Sui? 帥 which means ‘commander’, but who knows if it was like that originally or if Ishida added it after the fact.
The original can be read here. If you find any mistakes please let me know!

“Have you seen Matsuda Shouta's portrayal of Tsukiyama Shuu?”
The other day I was finally able to go see the movie "Tokyo Ghoul S".
Since posts on Twitter have to be 140 characters or less, I’ve been struggling to cut down the number of characters each time and fit together the necessary information like a puzzle, but to put it bluntly it’s a pain in the ass. So this time, I’d like to share my written thoughts...or should I say endorsement of the movie via this new web service. I apologize for making you read my poor writing.
Oh, just as a precaution, I’ll be touching a bit on the contents of the movie, so if you want to avoid spoilers, I’d advise you not to read any further.
Also, although there were lots of little details that I liked, I’d like to focus on Tsukiyama Shuu played by Matsuda Shouta. (Please don’t get me wrong, all the other cast members were amazing. It’s just what I want to talk about in particular…)
***
Matsuda Shouta’s portrayal of Tsukiyama was the best ① His waking up scene was the best It took place early in the movie, but it’s the scene where Tsukiyama is selecting his outfit for the day. I loved that scene.
It’s when the recently awakened Tsukiyama heads for his bureau, calmly yet seriously deliberating over what he should wear for the day.
Going like, “(What about this colour...no, this won’t do. How about this fabric? Good, now then a handkerchief to match…)”
The audience may think, “Whatever, it doesn’t matter…!”, but this is something extremely important to Tsukiyama. His passion of aesthetics came across perfectly in this scene.
At this point in the movie, I was already moved by how Matsuda-san was playing the role of Tsukiyama.
② Tsukiyama whenever he was with Kaneki was the best He was hilarious (delightful) from their first encounter.
The scenes of when they first come in contact, when Tsukiyama visits Kaneki’s university and invites Kaneki to the cafe, and the scene at the cafe itself were very interesting. Particularly when Tsukiyama was waiting at the cafe with his handkerchief. And what he did with the handkerchief afterwards. I was having a blast the entire time. (When Tsukiyama said, “I’m going to wash my handkerchief,” and headed for the bathroom, warning his reflection in the mirror to be flat*)
[T/N: Assuming ‘flat’ means some form of ‘calmato’.]
③ Tsukiyama was strong It’s a given that he'd be strong. He didn’t take any damage at all. The battle scene during the climax was beyond amazing.
In the scene where Tsukiyama was single-handedly tormenting the two people, and even after he released his kagune he was suuper strong.
(Ah, Tsukiyama was so cool…) Is what crossed my mind.
The fight itself was interesting, but his actions outside of it were also fully enthralling. (I really liked when he “set the table”...)
④ Conclusion Tsukiyama fans should absolutely go see the movie. That’s what I want to share.
Live action adaptations of manga are prone to character exaggeration and will occasionally remind you that it’s fiction, but Matsuda Shouta was able to reconstruct Tsukiyama’s rich character with a dose of reality, which makes me think he truly is a rare breed of actor.
I thought that this Tsukiyama can be enjoyed as a character in his own right, even to those who have yet to read the original work.
I was so moved by this character, that if I had the chance to speak to someone who’s being made to read the manga, I’d want to ask, “Have you seen Matsuda Shouta’s portrayal of Tsukiyama Shuu?” He went beyond my expectations.

Starting from the bottom left going clockwise:
Bottom left:
Tokyo Ghoul S Movie Personal Highlights by Ishida Sui
Top left:
Shuu-sama choosing his outfit for the day Looking serious
Top right:
Mask of the moon’s surface. If you look closely you can see it's transparent. Good since it's kinky. Every gesture of his has class to it. His hand attached here looks very elegant.
Bottom right:
So strong! Holding his handkerchief Tsukiyama: Don't worry about it... (Kaneki): I'm sorry.
***
Other things I liked ① Kaneki’s reactions Kubota-kun as Kaneki was amazing as always.
About Kaneki’s development in the movie, there were many instances where he was still quite passive, but every little detail in his reactions I saw was amazing.
That is to say, no exaggerated movements or shouts at all, but within his subtle movements and expressions implying the anxiety in his heart or suspicion that doesn’t reveal itself in his face, it made me think that that man is a genius...
(1) When Tsukiyama went to the university and called out to Kaneki, and Kaneki goes, “...huh?” in confusion. His confusion was as if a middle-aged man you've never met sitting next to you suddenly speaks to you.
(2) When Kaneki is carrying the injured Nishiki to his room, Kimi appears at the front door. Kimi embraced Nishiki in his beaten-up state without thinking. During that time, Kaneki couldn’t let go of his shoulder he lent to Nishiki, and as a result, when the three of them ended up in a scrum-like position, it somehow felt like he was trying to make himself inconspicuous.
...those were some examples of the little details I enjoyed a lot.
② Kaneki was strong There were enticing parts that looked like they came straight from a kung-fu movie, with confrontations that went, “undergo intensive training → see results of intensive training → fight strong enemy”, and there were also parts where the battles were simple yet interesting. Whenever I see cool action scenes, I get excited.
I heard from Avu-chan who’d already watched the private showing, that, “He was flying like, fwoosh!”, which made me a bit worried because, “He was flying like, fwoosh…!?” But (I didn’t go to the private showing, so I didn’t see anything from the movie until after it was completed), although there definitely was a part where he flew like fwoosh, I wasn’t the least bit concerned. I was surprised it was so cool.
③ Yamamoto Maika’s portrayal of Touka In the previous movie, how should I word it, Sen-chan* portrayed manga Touka perfectly. It felt as if I dived straight into the manga and was looking right at Touka herself. Her acting was divine, and I liked it a lot.
[T/N: Touka’s first actress, Shimizu Fumika, who changed her name to Sengen Yoshiko under Happy Science.]
For the recent movie, I went to go see it nervously wondering how Yamamoto Maika’s version of Touka would feel like.
Yamamoto-san’s Touka was powerful. I mean that in a good way.
First of all, how high she can raise her body trained through karate. Her blows and strikes fit well in the action scenes, and they were physically strong. She had an impressive battling style in both the “intensive training” scene and the “vs. Tsukiyama” scene, and if I were to pick a fight with her, I can easily imagine that it’d be one-sided and I’d get utterly thrashed.
And more than anything, the power of her presence. I think it’d be quite hard to stand out between Kubota-kun’s Kaneki and Matsuda-san’s Tsukiyama.
However, she became a character that stood out in her own right even standing with them, and character-wise I felt her assert her dominance.
This is just how I personally felt, but to me it seemed as if Yamamoto Maika was angry against the world. That aura fit Touka well, and it looked great.
As an aside, when I saw an interview with Yamamoto Maika the other day, she said, “I haven’t read the original work because I don’t know how to read manga,” and I was very impressed by that.
④ I like the music Rather than the grand majestic melody like last time, this time it was a tad mellow, yet distorted melody interwoven into the taste. That was my favourite feel in the entire movie.
The scene at the beginning especially caught my eye. I was drawn into the movie’s world by experiencing the gorgeous Tokyo and the sense of loneliness you feel there. It fitted well with the atmosphere of both the movie and the manga.
⑤ The Helter Skelter duo was alluring Uta was played by Bandou Minosuke, and Itori by Jiyoung. It was fun seeing the charm and allure of those 2 people who make up Helter Skelter. Jiyoung-san, who made her entrance in this new movie, was a stunning visual who was originally a member of KARA. It might be because she’s from Korea, but although she looks close to Japanese, there’s a subtle air around her that suggests that she isn’t. She was gorgeous in a sultry beauty kind of way.
Things I was concerned about It’s inevitable as an adaptation, but I felt like there were a couple scenes that were a bit difficult to understand if you hadn’t read the manga. Certain words or characters, for example. However, I think it was addressed during the script-writing stage so that they’d be explained throughout the movie (thank you Mikasano Chuuji*…)
[T/N: Also the scriptwriter for the anime.]
Additionally, Kaneki, Touka and Tsukiyama were very compelling characters, so I thought it’d be a fun movie to enjoy. My reactions ended up being late, but I’d be happy if more people go to watch it starting from even now.
Thank you to the directors Kawasaki Takuya and Hiramaki Kazuhiko, the producer Nagae-kun, and everyone who was involved in the making of this movie.
I don’t often go see the same movie in theatres, but I’m thinking of going to see it again.

☕️ Your thoughts on the Tokyo Ghoul :re ending.
☕️Oh god, I have a lot of mixed feelings until this day . I feel melancholic , sad, angry and disappointed.
☕️The one of who I am more pissed off is Takizawa. He just ends sad, lonely and angry when he was one of the most beautiful humans ever. He was just a victim. I hoped that in the end, he would be happy. That all the bad times would be worth it and he would end his life with friends but no. Only sadness for someone who never did anything except try the best he could and did everything for his friends. Gosh, poor boy. Same about Kurona.
I do not have anything to say about Akira and Amon because they aren’t there. I have to re-read to confirm that I do not passed a page about them.It was weird.
☕️Then the Qs. They save Mutsuki and then promise they will be together and as a family , only to in the last chapter discover they live in different places, without talk that much .It just feels wrong. They should keep the promise. And how they found Shirazu body is so forced . I like Yusa though, it seems he lives with Urie and that makes me happy because he deserves a family and a nice place to grow up feeling safe , which he can call a home. I can imagine a slice of life about it. I want that spin-off of the Chateau!
I still think that Ishida had planned to tell us about Hide and his past in another way as he did, but because time has to be rushed. Still it makes me love Hideyoshi even more . one of the best characters for sure.
Suzuya and Shinohara made me cry hard. Juuzou has always been my baby and I want only good things to him. I thought the scene of Shinohara waking up would feel more forced but no. Ishida did it great and Im grateful for that. Im pleased that at least my boy was happy, alive and with his friends and dad.
Ui is the best!
☕️AyaHina is not canon
Tumblr media
Now seriously, it’s sad them not getting that much screen time. They are cute with Ken daughter, I guess…
☕️I hate that Shuu do not have anything else besides his work, he deserves a movie-like love life. Im sure he could move on without Kaneki, but Ishida don’t want that and it pissed me off. At least he looks handsome.
☕️Naki being alive it’s a big NO. I like the dude but he had one of the most beautiful deaths of the manga and it lost all meaning. Like WTF Ishida.
☕️Talking about nonsense, what is Eto doing there in chapter 175? who knows. Why isnt she in the last chapter? who knows. I just do not have idea what Ishida was thinking. It makes no sense. Same with the Clowns and V. We never got anything of them. Just chapters of mystery without conclusions or answers.
This still makes me think that the last chapter was Kaneki crazy imagination because he was dying (in the chapter 178 page 14) and in reality nothing of that happen and the world still in chaos , but now without him.  I remember thinking that this was created to confuse us .That maybe Ishida did that to return one day and create a part 3 if he wanted , but if not , at leas his manga has happy ending. I still think that but now I do not think the part 3 will come, but who knows. Everything could happen in the future.
☕️I have mixed feelings about Kaneki. In this last chapter I do not love him as the beginning , but I do not dislike him as I did with Black Reaper. But now I remember him as the guy I really look for and cherrish , I remember more the great times and how kind , intelligent he was. And how much he cares for others. I remember him drinking his coffe while reading , or taking care of Hinami and helping Shuu or talking with Hide. I still loving him and I feel grateful for that . One year ago I was afraid of hating him forever but he still being my boy. Look at that face
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Best things:
My boys, Yusa, Mutsuki and Ui looks great.
This ended longer than I thought, but hope you like it. Again, thank you alot for the ask! It’s always super fun to answer you.

My friend asked me to make this for her. I take only half the responsibility.
Warning: I have only watched the 2 first seasons of Tokyo ghoul and it was years ago so please, don’t attack me. Also this fanfic includes people with animal features and behaviors (I pity the person monitoring my search history)
Disclaimer: I do not own Tokyo ghoul or it’s characters. The only thing I do won is this fanfiction.
For those brave enough to read: please enjoy this mess of a fanfic
Mismatched colours
Mismatched. It was the only way that Touka could describe the quiet, white haired boy. You’d think that she was talking about his difference in behaviour when he was a hungry, hunting ghoul compared to when he was being a relatively normal, meek citizen, but that wasn’t quite it.
Sure, the boy was truly not made to be a ghoul and was obviously suffering under his situation. She had a feeling that if he got hit by more tragedies, he would someday lose himself completely.
But that wasn’t what truly caught her attention. No, what actually made him so mismatched to her was his appearance. And she did not mean him being a one eyed ghoul either. It was his fur.
Kaneki was a hare with deep black ears and tail. The boys ears were big and flopped at the side of his head to lay on his shoulders (only ever standing up when he was in a fight), the white hair contrasting starkly with the deep coloured ears. Normally hybrid’s fur either matched their hair colour perfectly or there was at least some of their hair colour on their extra body parts, whether in form of stripes, intricate patterns or dots. She herself was an example of having multiple colours. Her own smaller, constantly perked up, vigilant ears where a purple at the roots that faded into the purest white.
It was an unusual sight to see, but for some reason it both fit the boy and at the same time didn’t at all. One the one hand, some people tend to look at him weird. Confused by his fur they keep their distance, like he was some diseased person. Something wrong in the world.
On the other hand, the mismatched fur was aesthetically pleasing, even almost alluring.  The strange and unique colouring bought him a lot of, most of the time unwanted, attention from women and men alike (the eyepatch really did not help here).
The perfect example for this where a group of girls giggling in one corner of the café. A Canary and a blue-Russian cat where teasing the ferret of the group, urging the red faced girl to go talk to Kaneki. It quite honestly raised her hackles. Couldn’t they see that he did not want to be bothered?
She was about ready to put a claim on him herself, to release her pheromones and invite him to chase, to dance, just so that people would finally leave the poor teen be. A bit of her scent would be enough to keep most people away. And the more persistent ones could answer to her. She wasn’t afraid to fight for her claim. Not that she truly wanted him as a mate, or anything…
Ok, that’s a lie, she kind of actually did. She just couldn’t help but be protective of him. She couldn’t help but want him. He was unique, kind and strong when the situation called for it. The perfect mate, that would be able to both make her feel needed and be there when she needed him. But many hybrids mate for live nowadays and she was not sure if she was ready to make such a decision.
Cheering broke her train of thought. She looked up from where she had been cleaning a table, for probably already way too long, and her tail raised a bit as she saw the ferret girl move towards Kaneki. To think that she would actually try her luck. Touka had to give her credit for her bravery. Or maybe it was just foolishness.
After all, Touka was not just going to let this slide. No matter how cute and small the ferret was, no matter how good she would look next to the one eyed boy, Touka would not just let her fellow bunny be seduced.
Not wanting to be caught snooping, Touka moved to clean another table closer to where Kaneki was drying glasses behind the bar. She kept her ears on attention to listen to every word. She wasn’t going to interfere immediately. It wasn’t her place after all to scare pursuers of Kaneki. In the end it is his decision who he wants to be with, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t save him if he got uncomfortable.
“Hi! My name is Misa. Can I know your name?”
Touka scoffed. The tone the ferret girl used had such a fake sweetness it made her sick.
“Ah… It’s Kaneki. Kaneki Ken.”
„Ken, huh. Such a nice name! Ah, can I call you Ken? I’d really like to.”
“Um, I’d actually prefer if you didn-“
“Yes? Ok, good! Say, let’s go on a date.”
Touka’s head snapped up. Did that girl really just do that? Sure, other people had been blunt before but this was a new level. It was almost offensive.
“Uh-um, I’m sorry but I don’t think-“
“Aw, come on! It’s only a date. I promise I’ll make it worth your while.”
“I-I…”
He was uncomfortable. His ears had moved from their comfortable position over his shoulders to pinned behind his head. Kaneki was extremely uncomfortable and she couldn’t blame him. The audacity of that girl! Touka watched as the hare tried to back away from the flirty brunette girl, only for her to grab onto his arm tight. (When had she moved behind the bar?)
That was the last straw. Like hell would she let that persistent bitch force him into anything. Touka took a deep breath and made her way over to the pair. Kaneki spotted her over the ferrets shoulder and his pleading, anxious, hopeful gray eye met her purple ones. She nodded her head slightly and watched as relief took over his whole being.
Touka cleared her throat loudly, catching the girls attention. Brown, annoyed eyes focused on her and a sharp mouth snapped rudely.
“What do you want? Can’t you see we are busy?!”
Touka raised an unimpressed eyebrow and crossed her arms.
“The only thing I see is you harassing my coworker, so I’ll have to ask you to leave.”
Brown eyes widened, only to immediately narrow.
“The fuck?! I’m not harassing shit! Mind your own damn business!”
Touka could feel her temper rise. She took a look around to see other customers watching the scene with anger and incredulously in their expressions. Seems like they all feel the same.
“Listen here, bitch. You are obviously not only making Kaneki but everyone here uncomfortable. So, I’m gonna give you two options: 1. You leave right now without making a fuss and never come back, or 2. I throw you out myself.”
“Ha! You and what army?”
The girl hissed this while baring her fangs and showing off her claws.
Touka bared her teeth and smirked.
“I don’t need one.”
With a grunt Touka attacked. Before the ferret could react she was in the air as Touka lifted her over to the front door by her collar. The girl began to struggle and tried to claw at Touka’s hands. But it was to no avail.
“What the hell are you doing?!”
“Taking out the trash.”
And with that Touka threw the girl outside of the café, making her land painfully on her sorry ass. She then turned to the ferrets friends.
“Yo, dumbasses! You are her friends aren’t you? Get out before I make you!”
The two girls seemed to be smarter than their friend was because they only flinched and scurried out silently.
“And don’t come back.”
Touka said decisively, slamming the door. There were a few seconds of silence before sudden loud cheering rang out.
She turned around in surprise and smiled at what she saw. Everyone in the café was applauding her. The bunny looked towards Yoshimura, who was giving her a proud and satisfied smile. He nodded at her and indicated to Kaneki with his head and then to upstairs. Touka looked at Kaneki and saw that while his ears had moved back to their calm position, he was still ever so slightly shivering.
She nodded at her boss in thanks and moved slowly towards Kaneki, so as not to startle him. Carefully she took his hand. He flinched but didn't pull away.
"Come."
Kaneki only hesitated for a moment before letting himself be pulled along. Once in her room, Touka let go of the hares hand. The one-eyed ghouls fingers twitched, as if he wanted to reclaim her hand. She bit her lip to stop from smiling. This was still serious after all.
"How are you feeling?"
Kaneki looked up from their hands with wide eyes.
"I- I'm fine. Thank you for helping me, Kirishima-san."
“It’s no problem. To be honest that girl was making me angry anyways.”
Kaneki chuckled nervously.
“She was a bit rude, wasn’t she?”
Touka scoffed.
“A bit is an understatement. She was basically sexually harassing you! Anyone could have smelled her pheromones from a mile away.”
Kaneki looked down at that, but gave a slight nod of agreement. He was obviously still bothered by what happened and Touka had a feeling there was more to it too. With a carefully controlled tone, she decided to ask something she had been meaning to ask for a while now.
“Does this happen often? I mean I’ve seen people approach you before but never like that and you are shaking.”
The hare looked up, wide eyed and startled. His ears raised just a bit.
“No, no, no! While people have tried to curt me before they usually gave up pretty fast when I didn’t react like they wanted. The only one who was ever that bold before was…”
The white haired teen trailed off, but she did not need for him to finish. She had heard of how he became a ghoul and could imagine who the other person was. Her ears lowered a bit at the thought of the betrayal and fear Kaneki must have felt. He had been honestly interested in the women after all.
Would he ever be interested in her, too? The purple and white bunny had seen his reactions to her, had been observing closely for a while now. She had seen the curiosity and a certain amount of attraction, but would that be enough? As she watched Kaneki Ken, the one eyed ghoul, the meek hare with mismatched fur who could have anyone he wanted, she decided that the only way to ever truly know was to make a move.
Touka took a deep, audible breath. Kaneki focused on her in curiosity and watched with rapt attention as she began to move. She slowly started to circle the hare who’s eyes widened in surprise as he recognized the traditional courting behaviour of their kind. The female bunny paid close attention to the one she wanted to curt and felt relief wash over her as she saw his eyes shine and ears lie back slightly in submission. With the knowledge that she wasn’t being rejected she increased her speed a bit.
Then after a while of circling she moved close and gave a playful nip to the hares right ear. Kanekis ears stood up and he moved towards her. The chase was on.
They proceed to spent the next half an hour chasing each other playfully through the small room. Always nipping the other gently to say ‘You’re it!’ and making sure to never start circling too close. They did not want conflict. No, they were enjoying their little game of tag, their dance, their courting way too much to let it become bitter. It was exhilarating. To finally be able to act how they were supposed to, to realize that they weren’t alone, that there was someone who understood them, someone who acknowledged their boundaries and didn’t overstep.
Touka's heart swelled as she looked over her shoulder at her partner. She could tell that he was letting go of his inhibitions. He was acting on instinct and happiness. Realizing this her tail gave an involuntary flick. A single grey eye widened at the flirty move and before Touka could react was she being pressed down to the floor. She gasped at the feeling of being mounted and nipped in the back of the neck.
It wasn’t sexual. If anything it was romantic. A small chatter of happiness escaped her as she realized the full meaning her partner wanted to convey. It was a sign of possessiveness, of protectiveness. The hold wasn’t forceful and the nip gentle. This was Ken (when had he become Ken in her mind?) saying: ‘You’re mine!’. This was a claim.
The black hare moved off her to lie beside her, allowing her to lie on her side and mirroring her position. Another move that such a clear sign of closeness that it nearly brought tears to her eyes. Deciding that it was her turn to return the favor, Touka made her own move. She raised her hands and softly began grooming Kens hair and ear. Grey eye widened and locked with calm purple.
With a honestly beautiful smile the male bunny scooted closer and moved his arms to wrap around her and started to groom her windswept tail in return. Both bunnies closed their eyes in bliss and purrs of joy filled the air.
They both knew that they had a lot to talk about, but for now the ghoul bunnies decided to let themselves be swept away by their instincts and pure joy at a successful start to courting.

My top 20 favorite Tokyo Ghoul characters
I usually only do top 10s but like...I love so many characters in Tokyo Ghoul it was really hard for me to do?? So I did more. Also DO NOT GET offended. Even my honorable mentions are very...very dear to me. (Also the places are just how mush I, myself, enjoyed the character not how great the character is or that your opinion isnt valid. And I skipped most of the Suzuya squad because they would probably dominate my top six or something and that wouldnt be fair haha )
Honerable mentions:
Hide:
Tumblr media
Itori:
Tumblr media
Arima:
Tumblr media
Matsumae
Tumblr media
Kimi
Tumblr media
Nishiki:
Tumblr media
Shirazu ginishi
Tumblr media
THE ENTIRE SUZUYA SQUAD (Nakarai, Mikage, Mizurou, Hanbee.)
Tumblr media
Now onto my list!
20.  Shuu Tsukiyama
Tumblr media
I really didnt like him much at first. He made me uncomfortable and really annoyed. I mean, yeah, certain times I thought he was pretty funny but he made me more and more unnerved the longer I saw him. But then when I saw his nicer side and especially during seeing his loyalty and love for his family he started to grow on me. And now hes on this list!
19. Rize Kamishiro
Tumblr media
Rize always was interesting to me. I wondered how she got to where she was, why she was so important in the ghoul world and just how she got to be so strong. Not to mention her characters personality made me very compiled to her. Then I got her backstory and understood her more. I liked her even more and began to respect her character.
18. Renj Yomo
Tumblr media
I always liked his ‘silent protector’ vibe even before finding out his backstory. I thought he was loyal and smart. And then it was revealed that he was the uncle to some very improtant characters and it made me love him even more. His backstory contributed to his gruffness and protective nature and not to mention his kagune is freaking AWESOME.
17. Ayato Kirishima
Tumblr media
Hes grown into someone I really enjoy. I...really didnt like him. He hurt Touka and acted like an ass the whole time. Then I saw a softer side when it came to Hinami. He was so concerned and cared about her so much that it touched me a lot. And he was a little more calm and controlled compared to what he had been in the first series as well. He developed into someone who not only cared for his love interest but his family and those important to both of them as well.
16. Amon Koutarou
Tumblr media
Amon, poor poor Amon. This guy has went through a whole lot during his time in the series. And hes accepted a lot as well. I always liked Amon even before everything like changed him. He seemed like a really cool guy who truly did what he thought was best. Then he learned what we the audience already knew. That ghouls weren’t as bad as everyone thought they were. And then fought for peace. And that coupled with how much he tried to help Seidou and loved Akira made be like and respect his character even more.
15. Kurona Yasuhisa
Tumblr media
Another character I really liked from the beginning. See, I have a weakness for twins. I always loved the idea of one and think that no matter the relationship they are always interesting to watch in media. And her relationship with Nashiro, while not explored a whole lot, was still prominent and known. And her denial about her death and the form of insanity she went through because of it was both sad and entertaining to watch. The fact that she started to think about forgiving the person who killed her as well was...amazing. Over all I wish she was explored a bit more but am happy with what I got.
14. Urie Kuki
Tumblr media
Another character that I slowly learned to appreciate. He started out as someone who cared only for his own motives but after losing someone who he hadnt realized he cared for he begun to care for his team and mant to protect them as much as he can. Becoming someone worthy of their loyalty and love. Going as far as to save one of the ones who betrayed him and tried to kill him just to get them all together again and keep his promise to his dead friend.
13. Ui Koori
Tumblr media
Im not sure what made me drawn to him? Maybe his relationship with Hairu or his sense of Justice? I dont know but I do know that I like seeing his appearances. His fights and thought process was always fun as well. Over all Im not sure why I like him all I know is that I really do haha
12. Ken Kaneki
Tumblr media
Okay I know, its basically illegal to have him so low on my list but honestly? I never really got that deep into his character? I mean he was sweet at first but then he was kind of boring? And I liked Haise a lot but really didnt like the reaper? The OEK one is cool and all but I still never got overly attached? I dont know. But I will say he is cool and I love how dedicated he is to his loved ones. And how honest he is about his flaws. Its really nice to see a protagonist that admires that he is selfish in certain ways and isnt always trying to do things for ‘the greater good’. And will do cruel and horrible things when push comes to shove. It makes him seem...a lot more human and tragic. Yet the fact he still had his happy ending made me happy for him. After the hell hes been through he deserves it.
11. Seidou Tawkizawa
Tumblr media
Seidou. He...certainly needs a little help. Poor guy was such a innocent kid before his whole life was turnt upsidedown. I’ll be honest...I thought he was kind of annoying at first and then very scary later on. But after seeing a bit of his side of how everything went down and how much he cared for Akira and Amon my liking for him skyrocketed and I couldn't wait to see him again in the next chapter. How he sees himself and his future...it just hit to close to home for me. And soon enough he became one of my favorite characters.
10. Haise sasaki
Tumblr media
Ahh, my favorite of all the Nekis. I really, really liked him. How parental he was with his squad and his storyline always interested me. The amnesia thing has always been one of my favorite tropes. He, to me, was a perfect mix of Kuroneki and Shironeki. Having the lightheartedness and empathy of Kuroneki and having the toughness and ability to fight as Shironeki. I liked how goofy he could be (i.e dressing up as women) and all his little moments with Akira, Arima and Juuzou. But he was a dream, nothing meant to last, so he had to go. But that does NOT mean I didnt enjoy watching him the most.
9. Kanae
Tumblr media
I just really like her. I think her backstory is sad but not overdoing it and her dedication to Tsukiyama was certainly something that drew me to her. At first I thought I’d hate her but found myself sorely mistaken. And I cried a whole lot at her death and the touching moment when Tsukiyama, the person she loved so much, called her by her real name and accepted her despite
the fact she thought she never deserved anything even similar to perhaps she’d be even higher had she stayed longer but she left far to soon.
8. Eto Yoshimura
Tumblr media
Eto is very interesting and fun to watch. Cruel and mean, yes, but also unpredictable! She never failed to make a impression on me everytime I saw a panel of her. I was always wondering ‘what will she do next?’ you know? I absolutly loved watching\reading her. Her backstory made me love her even more seeing as she had a bit of a struggle to get to were she is now.
7. Hairu Ihei.
Tumblr media
Hairu is someone else I dont know why I like so much? We didnt see her much at all and what we did see of her was little. But something about her drew me in. She was cute and I didnt expect much from her but found out she was pretty strong. Also with how sweet and air headed she acted I already liked her a little, the strength was only a added bonus. I only wish we got to see more of her.
6. Uta
Tumblr media
Uta, someone who I already liked, only grew on me as time went on. I thought he was funny, unique and very good looking. And as time whent on, and seeing how twisted he could be, it only made be want to see what would happen next with him. Whose side he was really on. Things like that. But then his fight with Yomo made be see him in a more emotional light. Seeing how close he was to him and still was in in a way. It was sweet and only made me like him even more.
5. Akira Mado
Tumblr media
Akira Mado. At first I never thought much of her. Just a sort of bland character who had lost her father. Nothing new, nothing interesting. But her relationship with Amon certainly made be feel a little closer to her and made be pity her at the end of the first manga. But then in Re: I grew a lot closer to her really quickly. Her character seemed more open to others and friendly. Her realtionship Haise especially made me like her a whole lot. Then all her confusion and journey forgiving and accepting ghouls made he so interested and caring of her character. How much she wanted to protect Seidou and the fact she still loved Amon-It just...Made he love her. So much.
4. Saiko Yonebayashi
Tumblr media
Saiko is a very funny individual that I didnt like much at first. I thought she was more or less dead weight and didnt understand why she was their to begin with. But the more we got to know her the more that I grew to love her development and character. Shes funny and kind but also strong and determined. I love her a whole lot. How determined she is to do what she thought was right and how much she cared for everyone in her squad despite her own initial unwillingness to try and work. All things I love about her.
3.  Tooru Mutsuki
Tumblr media
Now I know how much this character is hated...And I understand too. He did a lot of twisted and messed up things. Stayed on the bad side a long time, attacked Touka and his squad helped turn Kaneki into  a monster...But his backstory and the personality we were originally introduced to made me love him so...so much. It didnt matter much to me what he did because I knew why he did it and not to mention...Mutsukis one of the most interesting characters to analyze because of his mindset. Also the fact he tried to redeem himself and felt guilty about everything he did...It shows that he is trying to do better and he is. I just....really, really love Mutsuki.
2. Touka Kirishima
Tumblr media
Touka is a very rough character, and I get that some people just dont like her, But I loved every second of her. The person with a rough outside slowly breaking out of their shell and becoming gentler as time goes on- its something I have a soft spot for. Loyal, selfless, strong and knows what she wants. A woman who is strong without being controlling or mary sue. I never got annoyed or bored of her and looked forward to seeing her every single time a new chapter was put out. And also her protectivness towards Kaneki, her child, Ayato, and Hinami made me love her all the more. Shes also got my favorite Kagune of the whole series-Yet another thing I love about this character.
1. Juuzou Suzuya
Tumblr media
By FAR my absolute favorite character in Tokyo ghoul. Now dont get me wrong-Im well aware of his faults. And I know he wasnt on the good side for a while either, But even though these things are there, I love him anyway. Hes so interesting and his backstory was so heartbreaking. When I first saw him I was indeed mildly creeped out but it also made me curious. The more I saw of him the more I wanted to analyze and get to know his character more. And right when I thought I got to know him-The one person who saw him as a person and treated him as he should be treated was taken away. This caused Juuzou to experience his first emotional loss in a very long time. And he changed. I personally enjoy his more mature personality compared to his more bloodthirsty one but love both either way tbh. And hes also very adorable when he wants to be so thats always a plus.

Notes on Gender, Ethnicity, and Culture
At the heart of the etoneki conflict/drama is nothing more than culture clash.
Eto may be amazing at studying others and have replicated humanity well enough to be a respected author among humans without anyone finding any clues to her ghoul nature, not even Haise in RE: - but she is still someone who was raised by ghouls. Her base nature is as a ghoul, from the 24th ward specifically. Naturally, there’s going to be some confusion between her and Kaneki, who was raised by humans.
But that leaves the good good question of what those differences should be. Clearly, some should be tiny, but there NEED to be huge misunderstandings bc I live for that kind of drama. Also, it’s a slowburn, so. that’s how it is.
this is long, and tagged for spoilers for a good reason. nothing specific, but if u like being surprised by the plot in ur grapefruit, go no further as of chapter 5
1) Ghouls have ABO while humans do not. Sure, there was a decently long time where Kaneki lived among ghouls, but can u picture early chapter Touka willingly sitting him down and giving the birds and the bees and the grasshoppers and also the spiders Talk? I think not. Maybe Kouma? Itori would. Like, they’d both kill him dead with it, but they would. And knowing the contexts within another culture doesn’t mean that you have assimilated those words/concepts to your own yourself, or that you actually know every single social detail, especially as it applies to others.
...but Eto does. And human gender/sexuality is fairly simple on the whole, except when it isn’t, so she has a leg up on him there.
plus, the way I have the ABO structured, it makes a bit more sense for him to be less aware of it, since his gender, as perceived by ghouls, is the most privileged one. Especially since its associated with deliberate power gain, which he totally played into during the later half of the first TG, so it would be a natural assumption for ghouls to make that he understood that he was acting exactly as his gender is socially expected to. and in a way that would socially cement his powerful omega status.
Tsukiyama would totally say something about it, since with the whole affluent family thing he’d probably be very aware of gender and social dynamics, but anything shuu says can be followed by “and he called me a cabbage in French last week, so okay shuu, whatever poetics ‘omega’ means to u, go ahead, have your fun buddy.” Banjou, who was involved with Rize, would be too worried about offending him or making it embarrassing to say anything. and as a ghoul even lower than shuu, he’d be super conservative about getting up in an omega’s business. It would just be this ambiguous open secret that everyone but Kaneki is totally, painfully aware of. the gasmask trio find this hilarious. Hina is a wee bab whose parent was a doctor for ghouls, so she just accepts her big bro as is.
so there’s eto’s expectations to be basically an underling to someone powerful as a normal, comfortable relationship dynamic, pitted against kaneki’s human-embedded inclination toward monogamy and not something that feels like weird bdsm domination stuff. they each are expecting a certain treatment from one another, and not getting it. eto feels neglected, since he isn’t all in her business and allowing her to settle in the shadow of his power and just ride things out, and kaneki, with only human expectations for sex, gender, and whatever the hell just happened, expects the worst from her as the “““male”““ in the relationship who manipulated him.
the conflict is that neither happens.
all of the power is on his side of the court, but in human terms, it feels like the opposite - vis a vis, human misogyny and all the horrible expectations for a sex and reproduction based marriage system that go along with that.
which is why i’ve inverted all that to make myself feel better :)
2) i kicked knots out bc idk about that business, but there have to be other physical differences. there have to be, or its boring. and then again, since both are hybrids, what should either have?
i’ve decided eto will have all physical differences or a learned equivalent due to ghoul socialization, while kaneki should have none but whatever was forced on him through his kakuhou - ie, pheromone stuff, but nothing more.
ghouls can purr, bc i am weak to that shit. Kaneki is aware of this. it’s just a Thing that they do. he’s read to Hina and she’s fallen asleep purring before and it was adorable. irimi purrs very quietly when she cleans things. uta is a purr machine when he makes masks, and it knocks yomo out unless he’s drunk, then he just purrs like a truck engine from the floor near uta’s desk for three hours. touka hasn’t purred since ayato left
eto purrs when she’s satisfied with her writing flow, which is one of the main reasons she prefers to work alone in her apartment and keep shiono out. otherwise, she doesn’t mind company. she also purrs when happy, like most ghouls. kaneki does not. i can site Haise’s RC scan on this: since he never took damage to the throat, he never had a chance to heal ‘more ghoul’ in that area.
so the exchange of a happy eto, deeply content with their uneasy peace, purring to express such delight, meets a blank wall that doesn’t agree. her social expression of happiness clashes up against kaneki only maybe leaning toward physical affection and being quiet. he can understand that she is happy, and she can understand that he can’t respond in the same way, but the dynamics of their relationship make her doubt her actions and get instinctually afraid of doing something wrong and upsetting someone much more powerful than her who also decides if she is allowed to reproduce with him or not. and stops purring and gets unsettled. kaneki is only confused and maybe she doesn’t like being touched? time to touch less. oh no, she did do Something Wrong and now omega is mad at her!! interpersonal drama escalates on both sides >:3c
ghouls have great night vision. kaneki also does and you know why. youve read the series. full ghouls have tapetum lucidum in both eyes, but eto only has it in her single ghoul eye. her vision is unbalanced in the dark but due to her learning to compensate for the slight reduction in light capture on one side she gets by just fine. it also parallels nicely with arima’s poor eyesight and learning to compensate for it.
ghouls are crepuscular while humans are diurnal, but this doesn’t matter since neither of etoneki know what a sleep schedule is. and the 24th ward doesn’t experience day/night cycles, so they have their own issues with sleeping when safe, do not sleep when not safe.
ghouls tend toward pack structure, but not in a rigid way where there can only be one omega/powerful ghoul per unit. as long as everybody gets along personally, its fine. omega don’t see each other as competition. alpha toss themselves at their feet without prompting. they’re not a scarce resource. alpha don’t even really fight over omega unless completely affected by heat and rut cycles and unable to grasp the concept of maybe next time. but even that is rare, mostly only those who are jealous as a person attempt this. if alpha fight over an omega and one wins, the omega might just kill them for taking away some of their prospects, or might be impressed by the show of strength. or annoyed by it, bc they want weak underlings. depends on the person. (eto is more than a bit possessive, at least for his first heat.)
more on this point as i think of it.
3)  I haven’t specified kaneki’s personal gender identity for a reason. that reason is that i’m not sure what direction i want to go. this is strictly for maman, not Sugar, which is trans girl Sasako forever. for this piece of feti/sh garbage? whom knows! (I know. and until word of god says otherwise - i’m god - every character is trans.)
but really, there’s options. and i love them all.
A) kaneki was trans all along. hide is best bi bud. aunt was a bitch, but nothing worse than canon since he was closeted at the time, although he doubly prepared to never speak to her again. (true neutral)
B) woke up a ghoul and with new parts. why believe a species change but not a sex change, eh? heightens the early game confusion and search for id as a person whose major ids have changed against his will. (lawful neutral)
C) gradual transformation. like how he came into his strength as a ghoul slowly. read a doujin like this once. was okay. quality art, big titties, 8/10. ngl would read the sequel. (Perhaps I am writing the sequel? aren’t we all just chasing our Brands across the lonely internet, hopping from one computer virus to the next? maybe u die reading hentai, or u live long enough to see urself post to ao3.) (chaotic neutral)
D) heals himself a new set of parts due to intense damage. see the haise RC chart, which has a ton of pathways around the hips/torso area. parallels with cutting eto in half?? (also lawful neutral)
E) started happening as a transformation when eto’s pheromones triggered his heat cycle for the first time. boy would he be pissed at her X2 lmao (lawful evil)
F) transformation during #240 time due to losing all memory and only having instinct to structure his body with, and just enough RC pathways to make a hormone based transformation possible. Chiba would have had a field day, but also would have torn out his horrible bowl cut in confusion. get rekt bud. not even #240 knows wtf goin on (neutral evil)
G) maybe he just wanted a vag! thought about that?? learns he is supposed to be able to manipulate his flesh like his kagune, which he is canonically great at, and just Goes For It. it works. he is a strong, dependent idiot who don’t need no dick. (iconic)
H) same as above, but that’s just what Haise does when he has the reigns. looks deep into his pastless self and asks ‘do i have to put up with this cis nonsense? not today.’ (chaotic iconic)
I) it happens suddenly when he activates his kakuja for the first time. queer the monster transformation u wish to see in the world. just. so confused. but also there’s Guilt to be felt about banjou and amon and such, so that’s back burner. (chaotic evil)
okay, so in like fifteen minutes i was able to name 9 perfect opportunities for ishida to carry though the motif of 1)iding with female ghouls 2)paralleling with canon trans man mutsuki 3)litcherally having a female ghoul organ donation fiasco 4)being associated with vacillating between masculine yang and feminine yin black/white 5)having a narrative that revolved around accepting his body and learning to find his own strength and id that is different than what he was born with - but coward ishida stopped sixty miles short of the mark. fool. I Cannot Feast Upon Crumbs, Sir. Sir, You Have Given Me Airplane Peanuts For Supper. Sir, I Am Starving And Antagonistic At Best.
(i shouldn’t call him a coward. three huge series magically having the same Wife And Kids ending all during the time shinzou abe is in office? probably not a coincidence. hope they got a good payout for it. i’d sell out for that $$$ too tbh)
eto is just an alpha. her human social id is a Normal Human Female Who Is Totally Cis and Straight for maximum social acceptance and ease of integration, but that’s only her mask. her personal id is an alpha, which is cis by ghoul standards, and she uses she/her pronouns bc she feels like it. she has the power to id as above alpha, but she enjoys the social invisibility it gives her, since she can blend in the background whereever and noone looks at her presumably weak ass twice. like chie, but for nefarious purposes.
....does that make her the equivalent of a ghoul feminist? i’m getting Too Deep
4) the wards can be isolated and far apart, and its been explored in canon with the Three Blades family and the white suites - congrats u 2 - and ghoul organizations that have a home ward having distinct cultural differences from one another. small ethnic groups and isolated diaspora? natives? subset?? of whatever the 24th ward ghouls - sorry, tokyo humans - are.
this sort of thing is only tangentially related to kaneki. if someone with a texas accent teaches someone to speak english, that person will have that accent, whether they’v ever been to texas or not. so he has some of the social mannerisms of a 20th ward ghoul, but generally still has a lot of ingrained human attributes to confuse them.
5) i’m still fascinated by the half finished thought about there are just some ghouls who become binge eaters in canon. like Rize wasn’t special for it. I think shinohara mentioned this?? but. it makes sense. general food insecurity, lack of permanent social support, total oppression, absurd power levels, plenty of humans to take it out on...ye.
and kaneki has the kakuhou of an adult binge eater. there’s cool hints of the kakuhou being parasitic, so a mature one would def fall into the biological fulfillment of binge eating for strength and carry that genetic knowledge into a new host. and from there, it would induce cravings, serotonin reward systems, and all that good stuff to get what its come to like.... like, mayhaps, a cordycepts? ;)
well, i’ve put ‘binge eater’ down as just a general omega trait, since it feels authentic to do so, so we’ll see what i do with this in the future. i will also see, since i too am ignorant of my own self. what will my horny subconscious do next? i am usually the last to know.
anyway,
peace

Tokyo Ghoul Re Season 2 Episode 9
Tokyo Ghoul Re season 2 episode 9 for me was very lackluster. I found this episode to be very bland and boring compared to some of the other episodes from not only this season but last season as well. Studio Pierrot had done a poor job of adapting this episode and it is very evident that they did not really care to make this episode. A lot of simple things that needed to be adapted were done very poorly, from little things like character design to how certain scenes played out. Additionally, compared to the other episodes this season, the animation and art were just terrible. Not only did the episode suffer from issues like these but storytelling issues were present as well mainly due to the changes the studio had made during the previous episode.
Tumblr media
You would think that since the anime is its final arc the storytelling would slow down a bit so that they can make the most out of it, but no, the anime is still moving at the fast rate it has been on since the beginning of Tokyo Ghoul Re season 1. This in turn makes the anime adaptation so confusing for anime onlys since there are so many characters, plot points, side stories, foreshadowing, and detail put into the series. There was very little in this episode that I actually liked and that is mainly because this episode for me was just all over the place.
Tumblr media
The only parts I somewhat tolerated was the scene regarding the ghouls and humans finally teaming up, Tsukiyama’s voice actor’s performance, and Nishiki and Kimi’s reunion. The ghouls and humans agreeing to work together could have definitely been set up together but for what we got, it works. The music fit the tone and I found the voice acting to be spot on and impressive as always. I want to give props especially to Tsukiyama’s voice actor as he went all in this episode and I feel it definitely paid off even with the bad animation and art this episode. You can tell he put all of his effort into this and you could feel the emotion he was putting into this character.  Nishiki and Kimi’s reunion was also really nice to see as well. Besides a few plot details changed up in this scene, this scene was adapted from the manga fairly well. Now in regards to my specific problems with the episode.
Tumblr media
For starters, the art for the episode I found to be very poor and lazy and this is mainly evident through the character design. I found a lot of the character designs to be inaccurate when compared to the manga and I know this could be seen as nit picking but the way I see it is that these simple details just show that the studio could not even fulfill a simple task such as this. There were also scenes that were supposed to be more emotionally impactful but were not due to the way they were portrayed and or there was no build up to it.
Tumblr media
A prime example of this is Hide’s declaration that he likes Kaneki. Originally, Hide was supposed to say that he loves Kaneki as he is his best friend and that he wants him to be happy, but instead all we got was Hide saying the line “Because I like the dude.” Compared to “Because I love him,” this has less of an emotional impact and it is such a lackluster statement. Not only that but they went over Hide’s motivations in the span of practically five seconds which was very disappointing as this portion was much more interesting in the anime. Next, I wanted to talk about how the change made in the previous episode affected this one for the worse. Originally, no one except Furuta knew that Kaneki was dragon unlike the anime where everyone already knows it is Kaneki. This added a sense of mystery for the group as to who dragon really was but that is nowhere to be seen in the anime.
Tumblr media
The last thing I wanted to cover was the whole Mutsuki vs Saiko and Urie. As a manga reader, yes this scene was very impactful but in terms of the anime, it seems out of place. Due to the fact that the anime pretty much skipped over Mutsuki’s whole backstory and what goes on in his mind, this scene seems a bit out of place and unreasonable in terms of the anime’s story. This encounter simply does not work for the anime because Mutsuki is seen as the one who was the cause of dragon being born and he wants to fix it. Mutsuki has no reason for attacking Urie and Saiko because he made dragon, it would have simply made more sense if he had just met up with them to help, or Urie and Saiko coming across him mentally broken due to what he did.
Tumblr media
Not only that but they did not do Mutsuki’s kagune justice as in the manga his kagune had such an intricate design, whereas the anime just has him with a few tendrils. With all this said, luckily the voice actors for these characters were able to somewhat save the scene because of their voice acting. Like all the voice actors, they put their all into the scene and getting across the message as well as emotion needed to make the scene as impactful as it is. I doubt the anime will get better as we get closer to the end so we can only hope another studio picks up the series and adapts it correctly.

Septette for the Dead Prince Chapter 8: Turn Back The Pendulum
This will shed some light on Aogiri’s past. Trigger warning: rape mention
“T-There is something that has been disturbing me for the past couple years and I feel it is time to get it off my chest. The boys are also part of this as well.”
The Titans stare at the rest of Aogiri who all nod and get up. “I guess there is no other way around this,” says Kaneki.
“Yeah but is it really advisable that you do what it is I think you are about to do?” asks Lelouch.
Dick has a confused look on his face. “What do you mean?”
“Well....Eren here is going to show you what it is that we are talking about. However, a little heads up. This ain’t for the fainthearted.” Ichigo warns.
“No worries. We are all used to stuff,” says Rachel. The other Titans shoot her confused glances. Eren simply sighs. This is perhaps the hardest decision that he has had to make. Well not just him, the entire group as well as they all went back and forth on it several times and only recently decided to finally tell the Titans. The only question now is how would they take it?
“Right, let’s go,” says Eren. He then closes his eyes and using his powers, teleports them to a now deserted island with ancient Greek and Viking ruins.
“Wait...did you just...” says Garfield. Eren smiles a bit. “Yup. I teleported us here.” It was then that Sick began to realize something. “Just like your AOT character...”
Eren chuckles softly. “Yeah but Attack on Titan only told the world only half of the truth, the truth the others wanted to hear. That is why I brought you all here. To explain the truth to you.”
Rachel then gasps. “So that story is true!! All that stuff happened...” Eren then looks down and nods. “Yes. The monster being portrayed there was me. But like I said, there is more. This place I brought us to is the ruins of the land once called Eldia.”
The Titans gasped. “Oh my....” Lelouch nods. “About 3000 years ago, this land was given to Queen Makaria better known as Carla Jaeger years ago by Lord Hades as a wedding gift after she married Prince Adrian of Athens, Eren’s father who became the first King of Eldia.”
The gang then see what appeared to be past ghosts of several key figures, including Eren’s parents. Eren smiles sadly once he sees the vision of his baby self. Dick and Kory notice this and each takes one of his hands, a gesture that deeply warmed his heart.
“The nine of us were Eren’s bodyguards and best friends and also his cousins for all of us save for 3 were children of the Muses,” says Rin. “Also we were princes from different Kingdoms too.” says Natsu.
“Which says a lot about your talents,” says Rose. The boys grinned as they watched their younger selves run around, singing, dancing and just have fun.
“However, a dark shadow hung over us and that dark shadow was none other than Melinoe, Eren’s aunt and Queen Makaria’s sister.” said Natsu.
“The witch was jealous that her sister was more popular than she was and decided to destroy whatever happiness she had by first having her husband killed and plunging them into war and darkness and hurt Eren the Crown Prince.”
“Wait....but I thought Zeke was the older sibling.” Says Rose. “Nah. Eren is the true firstborn.”
Eren looks down, tears flowing down his eyes as he watches the witch kill his father in front of his young inexperienced self.
“I....I was forced to become King on that day but...I failed...plus....t-that witch did something terrible to me.”
The gang was horrified by what they saw next. Prior to Eldia’s destruction, the evil witch tortured and defiled the poor Prince. Days later, The Kingdom of Eldia is set ablaze as Viking warriors similar to the ones that enslaved Ymir Fritz years later, laid waste to the entire Kingdom and massacred thousands.
Rachel was in tears as she saw this, prompting Garfield to comfort her whilst Jason, Conner and Rose are disgusted by this.
Aogiri’s past selves led by Eren head to battle whilst Armin, Jean, and Connie; the three boys that would eventually walk out of the group stayed in the Palace to protect the Princesses with Zeke.
“The three traitors that walked out of the group were also traitors as they slaughtered Eren’s siblings,” says Rin.
Everyone grimaced when they saw Jean, Connie and Armin stab and kill Eren’s siblings. “Those bastards!!” says Dick.
Back on the battlefield, Melinoe and Makaria engage in one last duel. “I will make you pay for what you did to my husband you witch!!” Makaria yelled as her sword clashes with her sister’s.
Melinoe simply cackles. “It is too late!!” She sends her sister’s sword flying and without hesitation, she stabs her sister straight in the heart, killing her.
“NO!!!” Eren’s ancient self screams and drops to his knees, tears in his eyes.
Dick and Kory both show concern for Eren who simply looks away.
The evil witch then heads off to the Temple of Hades to carry out one more diabolical act. “Now that those fools are out of the way, might as well steal the power of Father dearest from here.”
“Not so fast!!”
She whips around to see Eren and his friends stand in front of her. “Ah!! If it isn’t the cowardly Prince and his friends.”
“He is not a coward!!” Lelouch shouts back at her, his eyes glowing red with anger. Eren simply shoots a death glare at her. “Less talk, more action.” Without hesitation, they proceed to attack.
Natsu shoots a fire blast whilst Naruto sends a pool of water at her but the witch teleports out of the way. Ichigo and Izuku come down, trying to hit her with lightning and wind blasts but she blocks it and throws both boys aside.
Luffy punches the earth beneath him and kicks some rocks at her which again she blocks whilst Rin tries using a light attack but it fails and she sends him flying with a dark magical blast and also kicks Luffy in the gut.
Lelouch and Kaneki charge towards the witch, Lelouch trying to freeze her whilst Kaneki tries to use his telepathy. Unfortunately for them, the woman stops their attacks and uses her telepathy to send them flying back, causing them to hit the others.
“Now where is the Prince?” she asked. Before she could say anything, she gasps and coughs out blood as Eren stabs her. “It’s over witch.” he says.
She smirks evilly. “Or is it?!” Unfortunately for Eren, the one that he stabbed was just a fske clone. The real deal shows up and proceeds to use all of her magical powers to not only kill the boys but also to destroy what was left of Eldia, sacrificing even her soldiers.
“What a monster.” says Kory.
“Are you satisfied?” Melinoe turns around to see her mother Persephone. She then panics. “I...I THOUGHT I KILLED YOU!!”
“You didn’t. You did however destroyed the rest of Olympus including your own father because of your greed.”
“What?! How is it possible for anyone to destroy Hades?!” said Rachel. “Only the witch would know.”
“You gave away my birthright to that bratty sister of mine!!” she argued. “And for your sins, I hereby cast you to the dark pits of Tartarus!!” Melinoe screams as she is teleported to Tartarus.
“That child went overboard. Even Ares at his worst won’t go this far.” Persephone turns around to see Hecate. “Nice to see you Lady Hecate.” she says with a bow.
The Goddess sighed. “We have one heck of a mess to clean up.” She then turns to Eren’s corpse.
“If she hadn’t attacked, that boy would have grown to be great. Not because of any prophecy but rather because he was born into this world.”
“There would still be war and conflict and corruption in this world.” says Persephone. “A reflection or the politics of the gods. It is just how life itself is. Something so complex even we the gods do not often understand it.” Says Hecate.
“And in the midst of such darkness, there shall be light.” Persephone adds. The elder goddess nods. “I believe that we should allow the children to decide their destiny once we begin anew.” And with that, everyone gets reincarnated once again.
Meanwhile in Tartarus, the evil Melinoe struggles to break free from her chains. Angered that the gods somehow managed to ruin her plans, she utters a very terrifying curse.
“Mark my words Makaria!! You and your people shall never know peace!! The Eldians shall be destroyed by one of your children!!! And another shall be so hated that the world shall mark him as a demon regardless of his good deeds!!”
“Holy shit!” says Jason. Rachel gasped. “Now I really want to punch the shit out of that bitch when I see her!!” says Conner.
“All nine of us were separated through time and space and thrown into different worlds until that great Eldian War where Eren sacrificed himself by playing a demonic character which went against his morales. Something I can relate to because I did a similar thing too.” says Lelouch.
“Let’s be honest. All nine of us were forced to play demons for the sake of saving humanity because the worlds we were raised in brought out our inner darkness.” says Ichigo. “I am shocked that the gods did not punish us.” says Rin. “They kind of did by making Eren go on a 12 Labours journey as atonement once he got reincarnated in this current world and us being the loyal boys that we are, we went along for the ride.” says Izuku.
Eren simply hugs Dick and breaks down in tears. Dick pulls him closer and hugs him tight with Kory joining in for support. “It’s ok Eren. You will regain your happiness again.”
“Is it me or are the cowards a bunch of cowards?” says Conner. “Yeah why do all the demigods have to suffer for them?” says Rose. “Melinoe somehow scared the shit out of them but she isn’t supposed to....”
“Unless some other god or powerful being on that same level is aiding her behind the scenes but who?” says Natsu. “There is only guy that I could think of and he is someone we collectively hate.” says Eren.
The mysterious man he speaks of is ironically locked in a secret meeting with Melinoe in a secret lab. “So those children have recovered their memories huh?” says the man. Melinoe simply sighs. “Unfortunately.” He nods. “I see. Still they better be prepared for they will not know what is about to hit them for I have a secret weapon .” he says, pointing at a tube that had the body of a certain young Amazon.
Notice the powers that they all have. Which Kpop group does this remind you all of?

You know what will be fun when Amon and Sasaki get to hang out as colleagues? Sparring sessions! Because, even if Sasaki doesn't remember ever fighting Amon, his body definitely does, and even though the prosthetic throws him off (maybe he feels too guilty to fight properly at first, and Amon and Akira tell him off for letting his guard down), he and Amon quickly fall into a pattern, and it feels disturbingly natural to read each other's movements. Sasaki doesn't understand why (Amon does or highly suspects), but in contrast to everyone else's instinctual fear of Sasaki when he fights, facing Amon as an equal feels amazing, and it gets even better when they learn to fight as a team. (It also leads to plenty of UST between them, to Amon's eternal mortification, Sasaki's confused embarassment and secret delight, and Kaneki is EXTREMELY conflicted about all this and increasingly jealous.) Akira also feels a complicated mix of wariness (the higher ups like the teamwork but they won't appreciate it if it becomes anything intimate, NO OFFICE ROMANCE WITH THE HALF-GHOUL!), slight jealousy (from her lingering feelings for Amon combined with a growing protectiveness of Sasaki; she tries to repress both feelings) and reluctant amusement (they are both DORKS it's hilarious to watch and they give her so much teasing material, it would be a shame not to use it).
YEAH ALL OF THIS,
Haise probably holds back a bit at first (almost as if he's scared of... something (losing control, like Kaneki was, like Kaneki did)), but like you said he would definitely be told off for it. It's equal parts kinda frightening and impressive to see how in-sync he and Amon seem to be though, whether they're sparrings against each other or fighting as a team. They turn out pretty evenly in terms of who wins, and they coordinate almost scarily well, especially with how they're capable of covering the others' weak points (while it's debatable how many opportunities they do get to fight together specifically, I'd like to think that they've practically saved the other more than once, lol)
Maybe Arima comments on it offhandedly once whlie he and Haise are sparring, to which Haise doesn't really know what to say, he just kinda laughs it off and is like "Yeah, it is strange isn't it?" (Meanwhile, in the background: This is all the more reason why Amon has such an important role in leading the squad if Haise does lose control. This is also all the more reason why it's important that they don't get too close. They make an impressively efficient team and it's quite morale boosting to see how they fight in all honesty, but they're also keeping an eye on them)
Also YEAH they're so awkward at times definitely I think both Akira and Juuzou would poke at them (mostly Amon. Poor guy) for it a lot (I think Juuzou in general takes a lot of enjoyment out of All of this. Especially because HE KNOWS, He knows who Haise is and was also there when Amon let him go at Kanou's Lab when he was Eyepatch, He Knows Everything (and he probably elbows Amon about it a lot (bro has to take a lot of shit for this can you tell LMAO), Amon would probably offer him more of Haise's donuts so he won't try and start rumors or cause trouble about it, though that doesn't stop him from giving Amon "I Know What You Are" looks or saying things that make him want to sink through the Floor), they're both like peak office entertainment to him. Akira, like you said, shares some of that amusement too, she's just far more cautious and weary, and conflicts with some of her other personal feelings. I can imagine a scenario with Juuzou saying something along the linss of "Sasaki and Amon are growing awfully close lately, huh?" and Akira nodding along, with a very subtle grimace)
And then there's poor Kaneki in the background of everything, watching from the shadows, there's probably too many emotions going on for this man to name at this point HAHA

I’m still experimenting with my writing a little, so I decided to write a companion piece to my previous ficlet I wrote here! This time it’s based in Touka’s pov and this is all just really a big long thought process of Touka’s thoughts about Kaneki through the years (so skip if that isn’t much your thing :p). Hope you enjoy~
I could never understand my husband. He was many things, really; Ken Kaneki, the half ghoul, the nameless one-eyed king, the black reaper, a gentle big brother, a frightening enemy, a best friend, my partner. He was so many things and yet I could still never fully understand him.
I knew him first as the dense human that sneered and spat the words monster in my face. Nothing special and certainly not someone worth wasting my time for, at least at the moment. And yet, with fate pulling us closer, I saw that I couldn’t have been more wrong and instead, rather than someone I scoffed at and ignored, he became one of the few people that made me feel wanted again. I can’t simply describe what it meant to me to hear that I had a place I belonged to in that fragile heart of his, not with mere words anyhow, but I certainly do remember not being able to sleep properly the first night he did. Even now, I feel almost too flustered to think of those words that held more meaning than anyone else could ever understand.
But...
Then he left. Once again, any sort of understanding I thought I had of him crumbled away. His words twisted in my mind like a dagger and God, it was just so painful at the time. Meaningless, worthless and burdening. I had really thought that was how he thought of me, though I wouldn’t realise I was wrong until much later. Still, there was such a swell of negative emotions that came with every reminder of him, no matter how hard I tried to let go. Even now, I worry about losing him just like I had back then, despite knowing neither he or I will ever let such a change happen again.
Regardless, just as he had returned to me, he would only vanish away from my life again soon after. It’s funny, really. It’s like an ongoing game where we are left only worrying for each other constantly and with every distance left between us during these moments, it’d only be filled with feelings of guilt, fear and nervousness. Though I have to admit, it was during those three long, agonising, confusing years that those feelings felt most prominent. Or rather painful.
Then I saw him again. Well, I say him, but it wasn’t him. Haise Sasaki. An investigator with a big heart and fluffy, sesame pudding hair. It was so tempting to play with his hair, that was probably my biggest desire I had with him back then. He was so different, but anyone who really knew him would agree that it was still Kaneki. I honestly didn’t know how to react with the first few times I saw him - relieved? Angry? Indifferent? Not that I had much time to think about it to begin with...
The time I knew him as Haise may not have been long, but I will never forget the time he looked at me with those big, grey eyes. It wasn’t the same shyness I saw with the human Kaneki, or the sorrowful, empty glare from the white haired one. It was love. Ah, that sounds so cheesy to say aloud. There was just so much love and adoration and admiration - too many things to list, and they all left my heart soaring. If we had the chance, I don’t think we would’ve held ourselves back for much longer with how close we became for those few precious months.
And then once again, he was gone. It was like a slap to the face, a stinging, hard slap of reality reminding me of what I had forgotten from last time. I tried so hard not to wait, to hope it was him that walked through that cafe door every time it opened, to hope I’d somehow bump into him in the streets. I tried not to react when I heard about the black reaper, trying just to ignore it and not worry about Kaneki. I tried so hard, but of course I failed and it only left me hurting more. It was pathetic really, you would think I’d learn.
When I did eventually see him again, I wanted to slap him. With all those stupid rumours, with his stupid get-up and stupid wishes, I just wanted to hurt him the same way he hurt me. At that point, any emotion I had was just resentful anger. But I didn’t. No, I...I couldn’t. When I did eventually see him...Man, I never felt so happy. It was him, so close and yet not close enough. I couldn’t help but smile like an idiot and just by seeing his face again, the hope I had tried to reject so hard came tumbling back, for better and for worse.
For now, let’s not mention that bodysuit just yet.
As per usual, things changed drastically again, yet I didn’t mind. Not one bit, because he was back. The man I thought I lost, the man I spent years thinking of, the man I loved finally returned. Unsurprisingly, he made no waste of time in trying to keep his distance, but he came around to me eventually. Poor boy never stood a chance with my skills in conversation. And then, just like that, the tension, the pining, the unrequited love that had been piling up for years finally paid off.
Everything happened so quickly, like everything had fianlly fallen into place all at once, but I didn’t mind. I regretted in some ways that our time couldn’t be spread out for a longer time - nothing can ever really change that - but I didn’t mind. For once in our lives, we felt so loved, so close and honest. I’d never admit it, but I was scared at first when I decided to kiss him, scared he’d push me away like any other time. Now I see it was worth it. I know he felt the same way too. That dork couldn’t even hold back his tears ten minutes in.
The baby, however, was a real scare. I remember when it first hit me that I was pregnant. Suddenly, everything had gone blank and I was no longer sure of myself. The situation was so intense, especially to Kaneki - it was written all over his face, after all. It was silly, now that I look back on it, that I thought he’d really hate such news like this, but after a while, I could see it only ever brought him unbridled joy. I always giggle at the memory of him squealing at the baby bump. Heh, to think he’d really hold it against me, when in reality, it only made him want to be all the more closer with me and with that, the two of us finally became one. The bite marks, the wedding, all of it proof of his devotion and affection. I was still scared of where everything was heading in such short time, but with his hand holding mine, it gave me reassurance during the most darkest of moments that we’d be fine.
Little did we know, we faced much more challenging moments ahead. So much happened in such a short time and once again, I had feared in losing the one man I unconditionally loved in a chain of cruel and disturbing events. It was ironic really; Kaneki finally seemed motivated to live for himself, only for it to be snatched out of his hands again in a cruel twist of fate. I’d rather not ever have to think about such dark moments again, unless when I think of the painful, bittersweet relief of hearing his fluttering heartbeat again. So fragile, and yet he kept on going. I was so scared, so fucking scared, I...Like I said, I’d rather not think back to those moments.
Once the chaos had died down, thank God, nothing forced us apart anymore. Finally, after so much time, I no longer had to question my feelings, or his. There was no confusion or uncertainty, no worry or anger - we now had each other, along with all the other people we love, like Hinami, Ayato, Yomo, even stupid Nishiki. Kaneki still felt haunted by all his actions, even if he had understood the necessity, though I was more than glad to help him, and through him also myself, heal from the horror that had been thrown into our lives. It took time, but we were soon so comfortably happy. I never want to forget that kind of joy, that euphoria of relief that surrounded our new, relaxed lives.
And I hope our life never changes from that.
“Hey, Touka-chan, sorry I’m a little late-” Kaneki walks up to me from his study, rubbing his tired eyes, and I cut him off with a crushing hug, a shocked chuckle leaving him. “H-Hey, what’s up? You seem clingy.” He wraps his arms around me, and with a beaming smile, I nod against his chest. So warm. “...You’re pregnant again, aren’t you?”
“Will you stop asking that every time I become affectionate.” I slap his arm painfully, but decide not to tell him he’s right just yet. “I just really love you, idiot.”
“I love you too.” We stay like this for a while before I feel him squeeze my body against his slightly. Seems like he has something he wants to tell me and I try not to giggle. “Maybe we should have another baby. Pleasure won’t stop asking for a brother.”
Ah, such a dork, so predictable. Even if I still can’t sometimes understand him, I still love him too much to care.

Everyone talks about how editor made Ishida draw such a horrible ending, but seriously I think that the stroy has been fucked up since the whole pregnancy shit and characters fungirling over it like t0uka is giving birth to a ghoul Jesus
Ishida is going through something dude.
Like he wasn’t all right in the head for tokyo ghoul, but it was self deprecatingly executed.
Tokyo ghoul re was where his ego went out of control, Kaneki became his self insert instead of a manifestation of himself that fucked up and hurt himself and others in the process.
Kaneki then gets all the hot bitches after him, the slutty ones get killed, and the pure virgins get to live happily with husbands.
Male psychopaths who butchered people get off Scot free because said backstory that usually includes getting molested.
Additionally, trans and homosexual coded characters get killed, are horrible rapist villains, or they get fucking “cisgendered” and hetero'ed into boringness.
Like poor fucking Mutsuki? So much potential. Could’ve been a wonderful trans male character with real depth. Kanae? Could’ve done something better with that character than just had them die for a dude they were madly in love with.
But ishida has a complex.
He has a damn complex, and my theory is that he was in love with a trans male person who rejected his ass, and now he writes disturbing fantasies about trans people.
Like big mama? Ah yes, men who dress like women are pedophiles and are obsessed with beating off children’s genitals to make sure they’re just like them.
Kanae, acts male, dresses male, and sure it’s for a “purpose” but they never seemed comfortable with female outfits. They were interesting and I really loved Kanae.
But alas, kanae was a woman all along! Her deep dark secret was that shes really a she and she’s actually madly in love with a man who cares so little about her that he doesn’t even think about her after she dies for him.
And then Mutsuki’s utterly pointless obsession with Kaneki.
Where did that go again?
Absolutely nowhere?
Ah right. Because “she” really is just a confused woman who thought she was a man.
But now that she admits she’s really a woman, everything’s fine now.
It was thinking she identified as a gender that didn’t match her biological gender that her psychotic love for a man really went sour.
Swear to God.
I’m a writer too, Anon, and I notice when people include their fucking kinks and life troubles into their writing.
Unnecessary sexually charged scene between the innocent heroine and the male villain?
Author has that rape-y nonconsensual fetish. You can pretend it’s for plot reasons but there are key words, little phrases that other writers will notice as being predatory and poetic rather than creepy or disturbing.
I could use snk as an example, because I now know isayama’s fetishes, but we’ll save that for another day.
What can I tell from ishita’s writing?
Well let’s see. Like most men, he despises sexually promiscuous women who have no desire to settle down with any one man and who are proud of and comfortable with their bodies.
We have nutcracker, although that bitch was nuts and I’ll give him that.
We have Rize. Dumb promiscuous bitch is referred to as a literal breeding factory for fuckboy villain insert furuta, the og fuckboy who would say if she breathes she a thot.
Then we have ETO. Who has the nerve to lick Kaneki’s eye, be sexually attractive to furuta (and hit on by him in the grossest way possible) and be an actually interesting fucking antagonist.
She gets fucking canned. Presumably because she’s powerful and in control of herself and isn’t pouting and whining like every other male character.
Every damn woman who’s actually interesting because they have some agency and control over their identities and bodies gets killed and wrecked unceremoniously by male characters who get to show them what a man’s world looks like.
And hinami, Touka, naki’s breeder girlfriend? They get to live. They weren’t sluts. They waited for their respective men to deal with whatever emotional shit they were going through. They waited patiently and put their lives on hold just so that they could get their happy ending, married and ready to be pregnant.
But their emotional trauma doesn’t matter.
Because like every manga, like most TV shows, like most stories, women are only a means to a happy ending.
They don’t have their own arcs. They don’t get character development or get to exist outside of a man’s reach.
In this manga, trans people are psychopathic. Homosexuals are sadistic and implied to be rapists or just general perverts. Tsukiyama gets off easy, but notice ishida toned down him the fuck down so now he passes as straight. Yippee.
And women are sexy plot points until they need to be disposed of, because the plot doesn’t need them anymore, or need to become mothers to show us what a happy ending looks like.
You can say I’m blowing things out of proportion, or overanalyzing it, but this is a fandom known for analyzing how many fucking eyelashes kaneki’s got and how it relates to tarot cards.
But can’t see when ishida’s little fetishes pop up.
Gosh, I wonder what trans male person rejected him in high school or college? Or what woman decided she didn’t want to to commit to him, so he started furiously writing in his diary about how all women who do casual sex or casual relationships are evil?
I wanna send em a gift basket.
The man’s as crazy as furuta, and that makes a lot of fucking sense when you look at how furuta basically shoved ETO out of the main villain spot despite having the backstory that finally destroyed anything interesting about tokyo ghoul.
So yeah Anon.
I dont remember what you said, but I agree.
Man’s a verifiable lunatic and I’m so glad he ended his manga the way he did.
I know it takes other people more than a clue or two to figure out they’ve been duped, and he made it so much easier for everyone to suddenly realize that I was right all along and they were being played.
I noticed almost as soon as re started, I really noticed during the rushima arc, but everyone was still sucking that sweet throbbing ishida angst cock. Now they know.
Some of them obviously will cling to tg forever. They’ll never admit its weaknesses or its failures or even its dips in quality. To do so would be to admit they’ve been duped and some people can’t admit that. They can’t bear to have their favorite “whatever” smeared.
They’ll make excuses. They’ll argue that tg re had a perfect ending and everyone who didn’t like it is a fake fan.
They’ll lovingly squeal about how good tgre was.
They’ll call it perfection. It’s not your job to fix them, Anon. Let them live in denial. they’re irrelevant Anon, and there’s three types of “fans.”
People who thought the ending was perfect. Rip. Let them live the rest of their days in denial. There are worse things to deny in the world.
People who thought the ending was terrible, dull, and Naruto'ed to the point of stupidity, and wanted something more meaningful or felt like a fitting ending to an angst filled tragedy. These people still think that all of re was good until that point, so they’re still wrong, but they’re a little less wrong than the former.
And then people like me. Who noticed, at different points, at different places, that ishida was losing his grip on the original tone and character interactions that really made Tokyo ghoul special. Who have been disappointed with him for some time. Who wish that re could’ve been even half as good as the original. Who are not surprised the ending sucked because they knew that ishida was beginning to run out of steam, ideas, and narrative cohesion.
Anon, you and I are a part of the third group. It’s not a good group, its not a bad group, it’s just a bunch of people who know what they know.
And all we can do is learn from this dumpster fire, and write our own stories. Make our own female characters. Our own trans gender characters. Stories that have endings that feel real and satisfying. Stories that don’t come ugly hateful places, or if they do, can mend what was broken.
So tl;dr, dude yeah. yeah.
yeah.
