Y/N: Can I have a piece of cake from the fridge?
Yelena: What’s the rule?
Y/N, sighing: No cake after dinner.
Yelena: No, that’s Nat’s rule. My rule is that you need to bring me a slice as well.

————————————————————————-
Being autistic has drawbacks for a normal person, but for an actress in Marvel movies, it was tough. I’m proud of who I am but I didn’t want the pitying looks, the comments or being stuck as only getting the “autistic” role so for my own sake, I’m not super open about it.
My parents are ashamed of it so they never told anyone and I was forced to mask anytime I was around anyone. Not even Scar knew, and she was my best friend, almost a mother figure to me. I didn’t want her to think any different of me. She’s known me since i was 7 and played her on screen adopted daughter in Iron Man 2.
We’re filming Endgame right now. I’m on my way to set with Scarlett. Today has been a rough day for me so far as my parents woke me up by screaming at me which then caused me to struggle in keeping my mask up. Scar picked me up and I’m already exhausted, I’ve caught myself stimming a few times and quickly stopped it.
When we pulled into the parking lot, i grabbed my bag and walked with her through set to our trailers where we left our stuff and we’re immediately shuffled to makeup and costumes.
“Oh shit…” I mutter staring at the costume in Erica’s hand. “I didn’t realize it was a fight scene today…”
“Babe.” Erica, my assistant and on set guardian says. She’s known about me since the first day which was when i was 7. “You’ve known about this for a week. Are you okay?”
“I’m super over stimulated right now…” I murmur tapping my leg in sets of 7, a common stim for me.
“Let’s do hair and makeup first okay? Keep you out of the costume until the last second okay?” I nod and the two of us move to hair and makeup where Scarlett is getting her hair done.
“Hey, where’s your costume kid?” She asks looking over at me.
“I uh-“ I glance at Erica who steps in for me quickly.
“It had a small tear in it so it’s getting fixed quickly.” Scarlet merely hums in response and I sit. Getting my wig on and makeup done is awful, having everyone touching me and all their voices so close to me ears. I feel a soft hand on my cheek and peek my eyes open to see Scar staring at me in concern.
“Stop grinding your jaw babe…” I release my jaw, not even realizing i had been doing it. “You okay love? You disappeared for a bit there.” I respond with a hum, my voice disappearing from within. “Let’s get your costume on and to set okay?”
I look around quickly and don’t see Erica, Scarlet must see the panic as she quickly says. “She got called away in an emergency. I’m going to be your guardian today.” I nod, feeling the panic bubble up in my chest, but give her a soft smile.
The two of us make our way to my trailer and she helps me quickly slip into the suit. I immediately want to rip it off as it’s skin tight and an uncomfortable material. It feels like it’s digging into my skin and pulling it away as if it’s velcro and my skin is the other side. I take a deep breath and come out to see Scar in costume waiting. “Ready?” I nod and we head to set where I realize it’s a busy day, all original 6 avengers, Lizzie, both Paul’s, Gwen and Cobie are all there. I internally groan as immediately, the girls are coming over to me and Scar talking a mile a minute. I stand next to Scarlett silently until Lizzie turns to me. “Hey kiddo. Ready to fight? We have to fly today.” My eyes widen for a moment before i force a smile and nod at the fake red head in front of me.
“What? Cat got your tongue?” This makes everyone around us laugh but it makes me feel awful. I have no voice, it comes and goes, when it’s gone, my parents ridicule me, I get hit. I look down as i feel my tears well up in my eyes and blink rapidly trying to will them away. I thank god silently when Joe calls us to places which means i get away from the now very suddenly concerned looking Scarlett, Lizzie and Cobie. I’m stuck with Renner as I get rigged up, the feeling of being sick suddenly appearing as more people touch me.
I feel the lump in my throat tighten and the feeling of the harness wrapped around me suddenly makes me feel like it’s constricting my breathing and everyone around me disappeared as my hands flung to the harness, in my panic my hands struggled with the buckle which just made me more infuriated and grunts started coming out as my tears blurred my vision.
I feel a set of hands on mine holding them down, i scream and rip mine away and start scratching at my throat trying to rip it open to get a breath. My eyes started blacking out and the last thing i see is Scarlett’s panicked face as she tries to grab at my hands before it all goes black.
Scarlett’s POV
I know something is off with y/n. Not off but just that she was different. I have had a feeling it was autism for a while now, today proved that to me.
She was silent the whole car ride to set, normally she’d be singing along the radio but she wouldn’t even let me turn it on today. As soon as we got to set she locked herself in her trailer without a word, the next time i saw her, she looked panicked and while she was getting her hair and makeup done she disappeared fully before i brought her back. She has days where she goes mute, she just calls them her bad days, they usually happen on days she has arguments with her parents but normally she can still communicate to me in different ways but today she was completely gone. It got worse as soon as she realized Erica was gone. Walking on to set, she tended up and i saw her tapping her thigh every once in a while. The comment that Lizzie made would normally make her laugh, her reaction today was off.
I watched her from the corner of my eye but had to look away for a second before i heard Renner.
“Y/N!! What are you doing?! You’re going to hurt yourself!” I whip my head around and my heart sinks as i see y/n struggling with her harness, her hands are shaking violently, tears streaming down her face, her eyes are glazed over. I bolt over and grab her hands gently.
“Y/n baby, stop. You’ve got to stop my love.” She rips her hands out of mine and starts clawing at her throat which is when i notice she’s not breathing properly. She’s barely able to get a small breath. Instincts kick in for me and i turn to the cast and crew crowding her. “Give her space. Now. I need someone to set up a dark room with minimal sound and her clothes she was wearing this morning as well as the blanket from my trailer. A cold cloth and her wig taken off.” I turn around as she starts to collapse, i grab her arm and quickly wrap an arm around her waist. “Now!”
It’s a bit of a blur after that honestly, the next thing i know, im alone with her in the green room after everything is unplugged and blankets are draped over the windows. Her wig is already off and someone hands me my blanket and her clothes before silently leaving. I help her unconscious body out of the suit and into her clothes before draping my weighted blanket over her body. I sit back and stare at her, not touching her at all but close enough if she needs me.
It felt like hours but looking at my watch, it shows it’s only been 20 minutes when she finally wakes up.
My heart is beating what feels like a million mile a minute with panic as i watch her blue eyes flutter open before she looks around the room for a moment. Her hand comes out of the blanket and she starts tapping her thigh again, her head nodding along to each tap. She squeezes her eyes shut and i can hear her voice mumbling. “I’m safe. I’m here. I’m y/n.” Over and over again, i quietly cough to get her attention and she quickly sits up and her head whips up to look at me with wide eyes, both hands start scratching at the other wrist. “Oh my god…”
“Baby, you are safe. It’s just me.”
“No… no… no no no no no no no no.” She started tugging her hair and rocking slightly. “They’re going to kill me… you aren’t supposed to know…”
I quickly scoot over and grab her hands before pulling her into my chest, she tenses for a moment before melting into my arms. “I can’t hide it anymore Scar…”
“I know baby… I know.” I mutter into her hair swaying us back and forth slightly.
“I’m autistic…”
“Oh baby i know…” She freezes and looks at me with wide eyes. I can ready the fear in her blue eyes. “You hide it really really well but I’m basically your mom my love. I had suspicions but didn’t want to push you into telling me. Today was too much.” She nods burying herself back into me. “I need you to know that I will always listen to you. That if you ever feel like that again, you can tell me and i’ll get you out of it. Baby seeing you pass out was terrifying. I need you to know that if you’re that overwhelmed, that you do not have to do all that.”
“But… my parents don’t want everyone knowing… they’re all gonna know now…” She mumbles into me, my heart cracks.
“Baby being autistic is not a bad thing. It makes you even more amazing. It’s not something to be ashamed of at all. You are allowed to be who you are. To stim when your emotions are too high. To have bad days. I am here to show you that.” I say looking her directly into her eyes. “I’m here to support you.”
Tears welled up in her eyes as she nodded quickly. She sat up and started tapping her thigh as she stared at me. “This is my favourite stim, it’s really subtle but it calms me down… i count the most important people in my life.” She then looks down at her hand as she taps each finger. “Scarlett.” Tap. “Lizzie.” Tap. “Renner.” Tap. “Gwen.” Tap. “Cobie.” Tap. “Rob.” Tap. “Rosie.” Tap. “It reminds me that you guys would love me, no matter how broken or weird i am because i know how much you care.” She looked up at me through her eyelashes. “Another one is tapping here.” She taps her chest right above her heart twice. “Right here.” She does the tap to each word. “This is where you sit in my body. I usually only do this one when I’m not wearing my necklace. Playing with that is the stim i can do out in public.” I pulled her into my arms again as I cried.
“Oh baby…”
“You’ve always been my safe space Scar…”
“And i will be your safe space for the rest of eternity.”
We sit in silence for a few minutes before she pulls away with a smile. “Thank you. For learning how to help me.”
“You are more than welcome my love. Let’s go home and have a calm day okay?” She nods before standing up, pulling my weighted blanket over herself. I stand and wrapping my arms around her waist, the two of us make our way out of the room to find Lizzie standing not too far away, crying into Gwyneths arms. Y/n instantly runs over to her and wraps her arms around the crying woman. Lizzie jumps before she turns and sees who it is and wraps the girl into her arms.
“I’m so sorry bug. I shouldn’t have made that comment. I know how bad your parents are.” Y/n shakes her head pulling back and squeezes Lizzie’s hands. “Liz that wasn’t what caused that.” She takes a glance back at me before taking a deep breath and looks back at Lizzie. “I’m autistic and I was overstimulated and everything was just too much. I won’t lie, the comment did hurt a little but i know you didn’t say it in a mean way. You didn’t hurt me, memories of my parents saying stuff hurt me. But not you.” Lizzie’s eyes widen and she glances at me before she nods breathing to calm herself down. “If you ever need to talk or are struggling you can talk to me bug.”
Y/n nods with a small smile. “I know Liz.”
“Hey. Me too.” We all turn our head to see Gwyneth with a pout on her face. “You scared the shit out of me kiddo. Never do that again. Understand?” She pulls y/n’s laughing form into her arms.
“I understand mother Paltrow.” She says making us all chuckle.
Y/n pulls away and biting her cheek looks at me. “I- i uh- I’m not ready to face everyone else yet…”
“They already left bug. It’s just us four left.” Lizzie said smoothing the crazy hair down on y/n’s head. “I couldn’t leave worried i hurt you and Gwyn couldn’t leave me alone but everyone else left to give you privacy. Scarlett went full mama bear mode and screamed at some people for trying to push her into anything. It was great.” Y/n chuckled, which brings a grin to my face.
“Of course you did. But i wouldn’t trade you for the world.”
“I love you too baby.” I say kissing her head softly.

“Should we call her?” Mark asked in a quiet voice, glancing around nervously at his co-stars as he awaited an answer.
“Are you crazy?” Robert hissed, “We can’t call her! She’s gonna think we’re idiots!”
“You kind of are though.” Scarlett pointed out unhelpfully.
“Uh uh uh,” Downey turned to her, narrowing his eyes and pointing a finger at her, “You’re just as much at fault here as the rest of us are.”
“I just followed you guys, I have no idea what’s going on.” Evans looked exhausted as he threw his hands into the air.
“This city is wonderful!” The other Chris chimed in, looking around in awe, as if oblivious to the others bickering, “Y/n is so lucky to be from here!”
Jeremy looked around and nodded in agreement, “This place is nice.”
You and your avengers co-stars were all in Germany, your home country, on a press tour, and the six of them had gone out for a stroll whilst you were taking a nap in the hotel, only to wind up lost within the first twenty minutes.
“So why don’t we call her?” The actor for Bruce Banner stressed, “We’re lost and she knows this place like the back of her hand! She even said so herself!”
“It’s humiliating!” Robert cried dramatically.
Scarlet rolled her eyes, “I’ll take being humiliated over being lost down this random alleyway anyday.” She quipped back.
The actor dropped his head with a long sigh, and Evans clapped him on the back, “I think you should be the one to call her. You know, since you feel so strongly about the issue.” He had a spark of mischief in his eyes.
Robert groaned, slowly taking out his phone and clicking onto your contact, holding his breath as he listened to it ring.
Six rings in, it was cut off and your voice floated through the speaker, “Hello?”
“N/n, hey,” Downey chuckled awkwardly, pausing. One sharp look from Scarlett, though, had him scurrying to continue, “Listen… we may or may not have… gotten lost?”
There was a silence following his statement/ question, before you sighed loudly, “How did you idiots manage to get lost? It’s really not that hard. It’s quite simple.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know.” He grumbled, giving a dirty look to his snickering co-stars.
You finally allowed yourself to chuckle a little bit at the predicament before you relented and said, “Alright, fine. Send me your location and I’ll come get you all.”
When he did just that, another long silence stretched out.
“… You guys know you’re only a street away from the hotel, right?”
The volume on Roberts phone was apparently loud enough for all of them to hear, because all six of them facepalmed in sync.

Betrayed- The Unknown Widow:
I held the door open for Yelena and Alexei as we entered Melina’s Farmhouse. I took everything in with interest, admiring the decor of this beautiful home. The serenity it serves almost makes me forget why we’re here.
“Welcome to my humble abode. Make yourself at home.” Melina says as she guides us through her house.
The group splits off throughout the house as Melina suggests we have a drink. Feeling completely out of my element, I stick close to Yelena, knowing out of everyone here she’s the one I trust the most.
We walk through to the living area, the soft rays of sunlight cast a vivid glow around the room. Every detail looks perfectly placed. When I was in the Red Room, I could only ever dream of living in a place like this. Having a safe area where I could be free to do as I choose, I still have that dream. Hopefully one day I will be able to make it a reality.
I hear a scraping sound next to me as I realise Yelena has pulled out a chair at the table situated next to the window. She has a blank expression on her face, indicating she is attempting to absorb everything that is happening- coming to terms with it at least.
“Hey, are you okay?” I ask her gently, knowing she can sometimes snap if her thoughts are disturbed.
“Why wouldn’t I be? It’s you I’m worried about.” She says as she bows her head to look down at her lap.
I move towards the window, looking out at the trees as I attempt to come up with a valid answer that won’t have Yelena asking too many questions.
“I’m fine, just a bit tired is all. It’s a nice place huh?” I say, attempting to change the topic.
Yelena scoffs, “Have you forgotten Lara, I know you better than anyone, so I know when you’re lying. What is wrong?” I turn to look at her, noticing her unamused expression- she hates it when I lie to her.
I release a sigh as I lean back against the window sill, “Not now Lena, I promise I’ll tell you, just not now okay. Please?” I don’t want to get into a heavy conversation within Melina’s home. Especially since we do not even know if we can trust her yet.
Yelena shakes her head slightly, “Whatever, Lara.”
My stomach drops at her tone, I know her feelings will be in overdrive with this whole situation we are in but she has never spoken to me like that before. Then again, I’ve never kept anything from her before.
“Excuse me.” I say as I make my way to Melina’s bathroom, trying to mask my hurt.
I go to turn the door handle when I hear grunting from within. I raise my eyebrows in response; giving the door a gentle knock, “Are you okay in there?”
I receive more frustrated grunts in response, “Just give me a minute, I’m just finishing up in here.” I hear Alexei shout through the door.
I take a step back from the door, wanting to be far away from the sounds of Alexei’s grunting.
I look back over at the table Yelena is occupying, noticing that Melina and Natasha have joined her.
My gaze returns to the door in front of me when Alexei releases loud groans of what can be assumed as discomfort. In all honesty I dread to think what he’s doing in there.
I lean my back against the wall behind me, folding my arms across my chest. I then glance around the area, not looking for anything in particular. Mostly something to distract me from the sounds still emerging from the bathroom.
“Let’s drink.” I hear Melina suggest from the table, I am tempted to join them until I hear the bathroom door open.
Alexei emerges from the bathroom in his signature Red Guardian attire. I study the suit in shock- I didn’t even know it still existed.
Alexei looks over at me and motions with his hands to the suit for me to admire, I give him an amused nod in response.
Alexei clears his throat to gather the attention of the others at the table, they all look over as he leans against the doorframe.
“Still fits.” He says rather proudly.
I push myself forwards from the wall and give him a pat on the back as I move into the bathroom, “Looking good Super Soldier.”
Once inside, I close and lock the door; releasing a heavy sigh now that I’m alone.
I move towards the sink, staring up in the mirror at my reflection as I grip the taps. I look exhausted, I feel it too. The lack of sleep from the travelling won’t be helping, and even then any sleep I get is plagued with nightmares.
I gently turn the cold water tap on to allow a steady stream of water to fill the sink. I cup my hands together and place them under the stream to collect enough to rub onto my face.
As I rub the water into my skin, I attempt to remove the stress present in it. Trying to get myself relaxed enough to go back out and join the others.
I take another glance in the mirror, focusing on the water droplets cascading down my face. With a gentle pat on my face with a towel located next to the sink, I move to leave the room. Releasing an exaggerated breath as I do.
As I round the corner I can see that the others are deep in conversation, so I use this as my opportunity to slip in unnoticed.
I move around the table to pull out the chair next to Natasha when Melina says ‘No’.
I freeze in my actions, looking at the others for an explanation- they look just as confused as I am.
“You’re not sitting at my table, I won’t allow it.” She says after a few seconds. I remove my hand from the chair.
Yelena shifts in her chair to look at Melina, glaring at her as Melina chooses to send her harsh glare towards me.
“Melina, let her-“ Alexei attempts to back me up until Melina raises her voice once more.
“I don’t want her at my table and that is final!”
Natasha looks down at her plate awkwardly, opting to stay out of the conversation.
“You can’t treat Lara this way, what is your problem?” Yelena asks Melina with a slight wave of her hands.
“It’s okay Yelena, I’m not going to overstep any boundaries in her own home. I’ll leave you to it. I’ll be down the hall if anyone needs me.” Before any of them could comment further, I walk away from the table, venturing further into Melina’s home.
I’m not completely aware as to why Melina has such hatred towards me, but all I know is the sooner we finish up here, the sooner we leave.
As I walk around, I notice a bookcase filled with dozens of books. I use my fingertips to follow the spines of each book, scanning the titles of each one. Melina must have all the classics, each one lines up the case in alphabetical order.
As I move along the books, I notice one of their bindings feels cold at the touch; almost metallic like. I lean up to pull it out, noticing it’s quite heavy, causing me to use both of my hands to manoeuvre it out of its slot.
As I place it down on the desk below, I notice it has the signature Black Widow 'hourglass’ symbol on it, causing my heart rate to pick up.
It's not a book, it’s a compact safe. Dreykov had them in his office in the Red Room. They’re used for high security files. The safe itself has a special way in which it opens, luckily for me I used to discreetly watch how the General opened them. If he had caught me looking, it would have been an instant punishment for sure.
I use my trembling finger to trace the outline of the Widow symbol, as the first step of accessing the safe. Then I place one finger on each point of the symbol, equally four fingers in total touching the safe. After a second I slowly use my fingers to turn the symbol clockwise until the positions of my fingers have swapped places from top to bottom. The symbol then produces a red light, causing me to return the symbol back to its original position. Once I remove my touch the symbol turns green and a small click can be heard as the mechanism is released.
If any of the steps are incorrectly followed, timings and all, the lock will never open. One of Dreykov’s special requests in order to protect the secrets of the Red Room.
I quickly look around to make sure no one is watching as I gently lift the lid of the safe. I know I shouldn't be looking at Melina’s private materials but at this point, I’m desperate for any clue that might lead us to taking down the Red Room.
To my surprise, there’s only one file in here- a large, brown envelope. Usually they contain more than one item.
I pick the file up and gently open it.
My eyes widen when I see a picture of myself clipped to the papers within- why would Melina have a file on me?
I quickly scan over the information provided on the pieces of paper secured together. It details every mission I have ever been on and my death count. That alone sends a twist in my stomach, it’s like they only cared about the number of lives I took in the name of the Red Room.
I flip through the pieces of paper until I see information of my early years listed.
‘Project ‘Lara’ is remaining successful. The subject seems to be enhancing every day. Constant monitoring is advised to ensure full potential is obtained before maturity is reached.’
I squint my eyes in curiosity, I’ve never seen evaluations such as these. I didn’t even know there were secret files on me from the Red Room.
The part that’s unsettling me most is the way I am referred to as a ‘project’, as though they made me. In a twisted way they did- into a monster.
I notice another piece of paper stuck in the file; which is smaller than the rest.
I place all the other materials down before I pull the piece of paper out. As I unfold it I notice it’s a handwritten letter.
‘I, Melina Vostokoff declare ‘Project Lara’ detrimental to the future of the Red Room. I greatly advise that the subject be terminated.
General Dreykov, I write to you to state that my previous findings and research into this project are not as accurate as one would have hoped. The Subject has taken on the desired traits, yes. However, the various rounds of chemical subjugation we have exposed the Subject to are failing.
I highly recommend that for the safety of our organisation we remove the issue before it becomes a colossal problem with unimaginable consequences.
I understand this reflects poorly on my own work, though I hope we can come to an agreement in which our next project is stronger than the current subject I wish to have terminated- immediately.
I throw the piece of paper down on the desk in anger. Refusing to read on. Melina has essentially made me a death warrant.
I try to regulate my breaths, taking a moment to close my eyes and gather my thoughts.
If this letter makes its way to Dreykov then he will release more Red Room kill squads to assassinate me- somehow more than the ones who are currently on my tail for working with Yelena and Natasha.
After all this time, Melina has been the one influencing my life in the Red Room. I know my control has been slipping over the last year or so, but I never realised it would equal my demise so quickly.
My thoughts are interrupted when I hear a plate being placed in front of me with food on it.
I look towards the figure who placed it there to see Natasha smiling at me.
“I had to race Yelena over here to give you this- wait, are you okay?” She asks, presumably as she sees the tears invading my vision.
“Look, if it’s about Melina-“ As soon as her name is mentioned my anger returns. I move the plate from the file found in the safe and grab the handwritten note.
I storm past Natasha and head to the living area where the others are sitting.
I slam the piece of paper in front of Melina, “Do you care to explain?”
She looks towards the paper, taking a sip of her drink with a blank expression, “I don’t have to explain anything to you.”
Her lack of concern sends a wave of rage through me as I pick her up by her collar and drag her to the wall, pinning her up against it.
“Lara! Put her down!” Yelena says as she tries to make her way to me.
“I’m not in the mood for your shit, tell me why you have the file!”
Melina shoves her arms up between mine and spreads them to smack my grip from her clothing.
I quickly block her attacks as I grab onto her arm and shoulder to pin her against the wall once more.
“What does it matter? I never sent the letter.” She says as she breathes through the pain of the pressure I’m placing on her arm.
At this point I don’t think the others dare interfere.
“You produced the letter with the intention of my termination. I want to know why!”
Melina uses her other hand to strike my face, causing me to let her go. In an instant she swipes my legs from under me with her own and sends me onto the floor, harshly.
“To protect you. That letter was written to buy you time in order for you to escape, arrangements by myself were being made to ensure you left the Red Room on your termination day, safely. However, you decided to make your own plans of escape, hence why the letter remains in my possession.” She says as she takes a seat at the table again.
I slowly sit up, wincing from the pain and the room full of glares burning my way, “Why would you help me? You’re the reason I was being mind controlled-“
“To send you back to your family. Lara, I will not explain further to you. It is not my place to tell you why you were stuck in the Red Room in the first place. Now drop it.”
I look at Melina in despair, I was so convinced I didn’t have a family to return to. As I feel the tears run down my face, I quickly get up and make my way out of the door; in order to escape the conversation that would follow.
I walk through the overgrown area of Melina’s garden. Making a point to kick at every flower I come across to release some of my frustration.
Finally I make it to the edge of Melina’s property before I collapse onto the floor with my head in my hands.
After a minute or so I feel a hand being placed on my shoulder, I instantly know it’s Yelena so I gently guide her down to sit next to me on the grass.
A comfortable silence washes over us, every so often my sniffles fill the air. Yelena wraps an arm around me and pulls me close, knowing I only cry when I’m really hurting.
“Do you remember that time Dreykov sent me on a mission and I completely dissociated myself afterwards and you found me punching the sparring equipment till my knuckles bled?” I whisper sadly.
Yelena nods, “Yes, it took me twenty minutes to snap you out of it. You really worried me that day.” She says.
I take a deep breath in, “Well, it was Melina who patched me up after the mission.” I say as I look at Yelena’s face.
She snaps her gaze to me, “Are you sure?”
I nod, “It makes sense now, with the files and everything-“
“No, that’s a misunderstanding, I’m sure.” Yelena says as she stands up from the ground, shaking the dirt from her tactical suit.
I stand up in turn, “A misunderstanding? Yelena, you saw the letter. You heard what Melina said. Don’t you realise, this means I have a family out there somewhere, they could possibly be looking for me and I wouldn’t even know. All my life I’ve had no one, I’ve been a prisoner to the Red Room but now I have the chance to have a real family. To be part of something that really matters.”
Yelena scoffs, “Do you hear yourself Lara? You have me. You’ve always had me, and apparently that wasn’t enough. What, do I not matter?” She asks as she pouts.
“Of course you matter, Yelena! Why are you being like this? You know what I mean, you essentially had a family built for you Lena. I felt as though I had nothing, I mean even you can admit you hated me at first.” I attempt to defend myself against her.
Yelena shakes her head, “Oh so it’s my fault Dreykov assigned me to Alexei and Melina, oh how selfish of me to take away your chance of belonging to a family.”
I clench my jaw, “You know that’s not what I’m saying.”
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Alexei making his way over to us, “Yelena, come inside, I need to talk to you.” He shouts over.
Yelena ignores him as she maintains eye contact with me, “What are you saying then Lara? Do you know what, fine, go and find your precious family. I hope they make you very happy!” Yelena turns to march across to Melina’s farmhouse, barging past Alexei in the process.
He looks over at me and gives me a sympathetic smile, before trailing after an infuriated Yelena.
Once they re-enter the house, I release a desperate sob. Yelena is right, she was all I had in the Red Room and I made her feel like she wasn’t worth anything.
I clutch at my chest, trying to work through the heaviness filling it. Each intake of breath feels like a struggle.
Yelena’s last words ring through my head, causing my heart to ache more.
I turn to take one last look at the Farmhouse before I make my decision to leave. I feel as though I’m causing more problems than I am solving here, maybe the team will progress better without me.
I start to make my way to the woodland surrounding Melina’s home, leaving the conflict behind me.
ⴵ ⴵ/./. ⴵ ⴵ
I haven’t been walking long, the house is still within a viewing distance.
I attempt to quickly make my way through the woodland area, cautiously stepping over exposed tree roots and rocks that litter the dirt lined floor.
The visibility is extremely low, mainly due to the sun setting, making it difficult to make my way through.
I take a moment to stop and think- what am I doing? I can’t leave them, we made a commitment to take down the Red Room together. It’s my responsibility too. I can’t let everyone down; whether Yelena likes it or not, I’m still part of this team.
After mentally scolding myself for even thinking about leaving, I turn back on myself and head back towards the Farmhouse. Until I hear an engine humming from up above.
I quickly take cover behind a tree as I watch it emerge from the clouds. It doesn’t take me long to register that it is in fact a Red Room Aircraft.
I don’t know how they’ve found us, but this really isn’t good. I instantly move out of the woods.
A shock of surprise is sent through my system once the aircraft turns on its ‘searchlight’, illuminating all of its surroundings.
“Shit.” I quietly mumble to myself, making my way discreetly back to the house to make sure at least Yelena and Natasha get out of there alive.
I use the outskirts of the land to run along, knowing the lighting system will not be shined over this way, since its focus is on the occupants inside the house.
As I near the house, I notice another aircraft come into view, hovering over the ground to release some Red Room guards.
They instantly move towards the building with their guns armed and ready.
Before they have a chance to get too close and spot me I instantly run to the back door in sight and open it as quietly and quickly as I can.
Once I’m inside I notice the blinding lights from the aircrafts flooding the rooms. I take my gun out of my holster and aim it in front of myself, not knowing what I’m going up against.
I use my training to move from post to post, avoiding detection. I lean around each corner to check I’m clear, which for the most part I am.
I move past Melina’s bedroom, I use my foot to move the door slightly.
That’s when I notice Alexei is passed out on the floor, the only reason I know he’s not dead is from the presence of several tranquilising darts lodged in his chest.
This just highlights that the Red Room isn’t here to kill us, but rather turn us in and I honestly don’t know which outcome is better suited.
I continue to take cover at each corner of the house, checking all my blind spots for possible attackers.
As I’m scanning my surroundings I spot Yelena on the floor unconscious. I sprint over to her and turn her over so she’s facing me, “Lena! Come on Lena, wake up for me.” I say as I desperately shake her.
As I attempt to wake Yelena up, I look to my side to see Natasha tucked away behind a doorway- unconscious.
Before I can even check on her I am pulled up by my hair and thrown backwards, causing me to crash into a piece of furniture. I yelp out in pain as I land, clutching my side as I try to get back up.
Though my effort is wasted as a brutal kick is delivered to my face, sending me down towards the floor again.
My vision blurs completely, as I hear muffled footsteps.
After a couple of eye squints and a moment to recover I see The Taskmaster towering over me.
My eyes widen as I scramble for my gun, though I am stopped once I hear a voice, “Stop. Move and I will shoot.” I put my hands up in surrender as I glance back at Melina, who is aiming my own gun at me.
“Take her to the aircraft.” With that, Taskmaster picks me up by the back of my suit, guiding me forward.
Melina holds her hand up to signal for The Taskmaster to stop.
“I knew we shouldn’t have trusted you.” I say bitterly.
Melina keeps her stoic expression, “Let’s not keep him waiting.”
ⴵ ⴵ/./. ⴵ ⴵ
Melina attempts to catch my eye, to which I refuse to do. I’m not giving her the satisfaction.
She’s up front piloting the aircraft with a few other guards, meanwhile I’m tied to a chair and gagged.
I look between Alexei, Natasha and Yelena as they remain unconscious, hoping one of them will awaken soon.
Luckily for me, Alexei begins to stir as the tranquilliser lessens its influence on him.
He slowly looks around towards Natasha and Yelena who are on the floor of the aircraft. Then he looks up at me, displaying a confused expression, assumingly wondering how we got into this mess.
I nod my head forward towards Melina, causing him to move his gaze to her location, “Request clearance for landing.” She asks- being given the all clear for landing.
“Melina?” Alexei lets out, causing me to look back towards him. Part of me sympathises for Alexei, to him Melina is everything, and when someone like that betrays you, it’s the worst kind of pain.
Melina barely gives him a glance, resuming her concentration on the journey ahead.
“We’re touching down in one minute.” She announces.
“Then why are we still going up?” Alexei mumbles, still feeling the effect of the drug administered.
That’s when I notice a large structure reveal itself from the clouds- the Red Room.
“Now you’ll know how Dreykov stayed above the radar all these years.”
My worst nightmare has come alive, we’re being sent directly back into the Red Room.
One of the guards administered more tranquilliser into Alexei, knocking him unconscious.
I start to move in my seat, hoping to somehow free myself enough to fight back. My efforts are noticed by Melina as she instructs one of the guards to blindfold me, so I cannot see the process of the entry of the Red Room.
ⴵ ⴵ/./. ⴵ ⴵ
Once we land, I am released from my seat and dragged off the aircraft.
“She stays with me. Take the others to the General’s desired locations.” I hear Melina instruct the guards.
I feel a hand wrap around my arm, causing me to shrug it off. Earning me a smack to the head.
When the hand returns to my arm, I choose to keep it there.
Having the blindfold on reduces my ability to escape, I don’t know how many guards surround me, meaning if I attack, I will most likely be killed within seconds.
We come to a brief halt, as we were walking I heard a collection of stomping, which has now stopped.
Before I had time to think, I was being dragged forwards again.
When we stop again, I hear a click, probably an elevator button. My suspicions are proven right when I hear a ding and the sound of doors opening.
Once I am shoved inside the elevator, Melina peels the blindfold from my eyes. Allowing me to glare at her, “Don’t look at me like that, this is necessary.” She says, causing me to raise my eyebrows in false amusement.
“I’m just glad you’re gagged so I don’t have to hear your insults.” Oh if only Melina knew that I was saving them for as soon as this gag is removed.
Once the doors open we move out of the elevator. I freeze when I realise where we are.
The signature decor hasn’t changed in all this time, we’re outside Dreykov’s office.
Melina senses my panic and moves in front of me, “You need to trust me Lara, I can only protect you if you trust me. Can you do that?”
I look around with panic stricken features, before landing my gaze on Melina. She places her hands either side of my shoulders, awaiting my answer.
With no other options available to me, I give her a nod.
After all this time, I have to face General Dreykov again.
All that runs through my head is, ‘This will be the day that I die’.

The last person (Y/n) had ever expected to run into again, was the man she had spent an outstanding one night stand with. Yet there he was standing beside her ally and best friend Natasha, a small smirk tugging at his lips. And when Natasha introduced the two, clearly unaware that they were already well acquainted, (Y/n)'s heart leapt to her throat. "It is good to see you again (Y/n)." Alexi chuckled, a glimmer of mischief in his eyes. "Wait, you've already met? When?" Natasha frowned in confusion, looking between the two. "Um last night." (Y/n) cleared her throat, unable to maintain eye contact with anyone. "Hold on." Natasha looked between the two once more, observing (Y/n)'s discomfort, and Alexi's amusement. "You didn't?" She huffed as she crossed her arms, accusing them both. "I didn't know he was your father!" (Y/n) quickly pointed out, ignoring the laugh that rumbled in Alexi's chest. "Seriously!?" Natasha groaned, now glaring at Alexi. "Do not look at me, I did not know who she was. I just saw a beautiful woman, and made my move." He defended himself, winking at (Y/n) who blushed in return. "She's the same age as me!" Natasha shot back, rolling her eyes when he only shrugged in response. "Seriously (Y/n), why him?" Natasha turned her attention to her friend. "He's handsome... And I'm weak for accents, you know that." (Y/n) chuckled nervously. "He's twice your age!" Natasha pointed out. "Well that's never stopped me before." (Y/n) shrugged in response, speaking again without taking the time to think. "Besides he was honestly the best I've ev-" Natasha quickly cut her off. "Ahh- I don't wanna hear that!" Shaking her head she stormed off without another word, needing time to think. Not long after Alexi neared (Y/n), a smirk tugging at his lips once more. "Best you've ever had huh?" He mused with pride, making (Y/n) giggle nervously. "Well... Yeah..." She shrugged bashfully, hoping whatever came from all of this, didn't end her friendship with Natasha.

How was that? Hope you enjoyed! (^_^)

Tumblr media
↠↠↠
Scarlett sighed nervously as she watched the people around her bustle and hustle in her hotel room, attempting to get her ready for the Oscars. She silently hoped that she would be nominated for at least one award but never voiced her thoughts out loud, not wanting to be disappointed if she didn’t get nominated. Looking around her busy room, she really wished that you could’ve been here.
You’ve been on tour for over a year now and the last time she was able to physically see and feel you in person was 7 months ago when you performed for 3 nights in Atlanta. She had a couple of reshoots for Black Widow there, and when you had told her that you would be having a concert there, she instantly bought tickets to see you perform. She bought tickets for all 3 nights, singing/screaming the words to the songs until her voice was raspy and on the verge of going away. She bought tickets for your brothers, your dad, and the rest of her family to go with her, to support you. She had so much fun watching you sing and dance; seeing you have fun with your dancers and backup singers on stage had her so mesmerized. And watching the way you interacted with your fans, she really understood why you loved them so much.
She gasped lightly, getting pulled away from her thoughts when her hairstylist accidentally tugged too hard on her hair. “I’m so sorry, Ms. Johansson.” Quinn apologized quickly.
“It’s okay,” she reassured. “And how long have you been my hairstylist?”
“6 years-ish, give or take,”
“And how many times have I told you to call me Scarlett?”
“Too many to count,” they said, sheepishly.
“Exactly, so are you going to start calling me Scarlett?”
“It’s very unlikely,” the two of them laughed at that. “Are you excited for tonight?” they asked.
“Yeah,” Scarlett replied, “I think it’ll be really fun,” she smiled while they added the finishing touches to her hair.
“And done.” they said, showing her hair in the mirror.
“I love it, thank you.”
“You’re welcome, now go get your dress on. ‘Cause I’m pretty sure Lorelai’s head is gonna explode.”
Scarlett looked over at her manager, who was standing in the corner talking on her phone, and Quinn was right, Lorelai looked beyond stressed. “She looks like a headless chicken.” she said, grinning.
Quinn burst out laughing, which caught Lorelai’s attention. “Shit shit shit, go to the bedroom now!!” They pushed her off the makeup chair. She quickly ran into the bedroom and put on her dress. Looking at herself, she smiled softly. God did she wish that you were here right now.
She decided to pull out her phone and give you a call. The phone rang for a couple seconds before your voicemail came on. “Hi, this is Y/N; I am currently not available at the moment. Please leave a message after the beep and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as I can.” Scarlett smiled at the sound of your bubbly voice.
Beeeeeep
“Hi baby, I was just calling because I missed you. I’m just about ready to leave for the awards tonight and I wanted to hear your voice. Call me back tonight when you’re free? I love you.” She hung up.
“Scarlett!! Are you ready?” Lorelai asked, a little panicked, knocking excessively on the door.
“Yeah, let’s go.”
In the car, Scarlett pulled out her phone and began to watch reels of you singing during your tour on Instagram. She honestly couldn’t be more proud of you, she knew you always wanted to be a singer, but that dream didn’t solidify until you first sang in the first Pitch Perfect movie. She saw how hard you worked for this, and knew that you deserved every single round of applause you got after each song you’d sing.
↠↠↠
Scarlett stepped out of her car, putting on a practiced smile for the cameras. She looked at the paparazzi and her fans who were screaming and crying out her name. She got her picture taken and was led to the section where interviews were taking place. She did a couple of them, she even had one with her co-star and friend, Florence Pugh.
Soon, Lorelai was ushering her off to the next part. Scarlett smiled as she greeted Cole Walliser; he was the one in charge of the GlamBOTs; the camera that moves extremely quickly but the footage taken is in slow motion. After he instructed her on what she should be doing, Scarlett did her iconic over the shoulder pose into the camera and smiled happily. The speed of the camera startled her for a moment, but she was quick to regain her bearings. She thanked him again, and then joined her manager in one of the more secluded areas as an usher led them into the building.
Scarlett smiled softly in thanks at the attendant who led her and Lorelai to their seats. Getting inside the building took quite a bit of time; with the amount of celebrities showing up in it was bound to get crazy. She sighed, gently wiping her hands on her dress. “You nervous?” Lorelai whispered quietly.
“Little bit,”
“Don’t be,”
“I kinda wish Y/N was here…”
“I know,”
“Not that I don’t love your company.” Scarlett amended quickly, “I just– I just miss her. I mean, I haven’t seen the woman in 7 months!”
“I know that too,”
“And I know that she’d be able to calm me down in a second if she were here. I know that she wouldn’t care if she won an award tonight, cause she’d think that all the other nominees deserved it better.”
“That sounds like Y/N,” Lorelai laughed. “Now before you can go into a spiral right now, do you think you’re gonna win tonight?”
“Maybe…? I mean there’s so many other people to consider before me,”
“Hey, don’t sell yourself short. I know you, and knowing you, I know you’ll get a nomination, I’m sure of it.”
Scarlett smiled a genuine smile at Lorelai, “Thank you,”. Lorelai winked at her, before the night began.
Scarlett smiled brightly as each nomination was announced. She had to admit, even if you weren’t here, she was having a nice time. Her heart had skipped a beat when she heard Taika Waitit’s name get called when ‘Jojo Rabbit’ won Best Adapted Screenplay. She quickly stood him and congratulated him, sharing a moment of joy before he went on stage. “He deserves this,” Lorelai said, watching as Taika started his speech.
“He really does, this was one of the best scripts I’ve ever read.”
“I know…. I saw the movie.”
Scarlett scrunched her eyebrows together. “Hey, do you know why you have an empty seat beside you?”
“I don’t know, maybe someone wasn’t able to show up?” Lorelai guessed.
“Probably, I wonder who couldn’t make it.”
↠↠↠
“How’re you feeling?” Lorelai asked, a little bit later. They were now watching the little clips put together for the award of Best Documentary Feature.
“The nerves are still there but I’m good.”
“Good,” Lorelai smirked, she had a strange look in her eyes as they began clapping as the winner was announced. Scarlett gave her a suspicious look but paid her no mind as she listened to the speeches.
Soon enough, Mahershala Ali came out to present the award for Best Supporting Actress. Scarlett held her breath, squeezing Lorelai’s hand lightly as her heart beat out of her chest.
Mahershala began his speech. “Most every actress and actor I know wants to build a lasting body of work choosing roles that do more than just speak to them personally, but with the hope of their performance will resonate with others. The five women nominated Best Supporting Actress have done just that.”
The short clips of multiple different movies began, starting with Laura Dern in Marriage Story. Then she saw herself as Rosie Betzler in ‘Jojo Rabbit’ play on the screen. She sighed happily, feeling exhilarated that she was nominated. She smiled even harder when she saw Florence was also nominated. “Here are the nominees for performance by an actress in the supporting role.” He paused, “Kathy Bates, Richard Jewell. Laura Dern, Marriage Story. Scarlett Johansson, Jojo Rabbit. Florence Pugh, Little Women. Margot Robbie, Bombshell.”
“And, the Oscar goes to……. Scarlett Johansson, Jojo Rabbit.” Everyone in the crowd cheered as Scarlett stayed frozen in her seat. It wasn’t until Lorelai nudged her lightly did she realize that she had really won. Hugging a couple of friends quickly, Scarlett headed up onto the stage, smiling bashfully as everyone continued to clap. “Congratulations,” Mahershala said, giving her a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek.
“Thank you,” she smiled, taking the award as he handed it to her. She walked up to the microphone set up in the middle of the stage, standing in front of everyone beaming proudly when the crowd began to clap even harder.
Suddenly, Scarlett felt two arms wrap around her waist from behind. She spun around quickly, alarmed. She was fully prepared to scream out when she stared into a pair of eyes she’s longed to see in person for the past 7 months. “Oh my god,” she whispered, her words barely audible. Scarlett let go of her award as she wrapped her arms around your neck, hugging you tightly. With your quick reflexes, you manage to catch the award before it hits the ground and you hand it off to Lorelai who was waiting to receive it at the bottom of the stage.
You returned Scarlett’s hug just as tightly, cupping your right hand over her neck and wrapping your other arm around her waist, pulling her into you. “Hi baby,” you whispered into her hair, kissing her temple. You closed your eyes for a moment, cherishing the feeling of her finally being in your arms again. You didn’t realize how much you really missed her until just now.
You felt her body shake and gently you removed her from your body, keeping her at a nice distance. Scarlett had tears streaming down her face as she reached for you. “No,” she whimpered, her hands coming up to clench at your clothes. “Too far,” she clarified, tugging you closer still.
“Okay, I won’t go too far, but why’re you crying?” you asked, gently turning her body so her back faced the stage. Delicately, you brushed away her tears while you tried not to ruin her makeup. Thank god for waterproof makeup.
“I just missed you so fucking much,”
“I missed you too,” you kissed her head again, relishing the fact that she was with you for real and that it wasn’t a sick dream.
“What the hell are you doing here? I thought you were still in Rome!”
“I was… but I thought I’d stop by before my next show in a couple of days.” you replied, smiling warmly at her.
“What’re you wearing?” Scarlett asked, once she’s got a good look at you.
“What? You don’t like it? I think I’m dressed very nicely for the Oscars,” you teased, tugging at your hoodie and sweatpants, and then scrunching your face up, showing your face without any makeup.
“I think you look great.”
“I know… I was supposed to be at the house before you came here to actually be there for you but my flight got delayed because of the weather,”
Scarlett gasped, “That’s why you didn’t take my call!”
“Didn’t see it, had my phone on airplane mode. Anyways by the time I landed, the event had already started. And when I actually got here, they were presenting your award. I didn’t have time to change, if you can’t tell.”
“You look beautiful,” she said. “And I love you very much,” she murmured into your neck as she buried herself back into you. “And I appreciate you being here for me,”
“I love you too,” you mumbled. “Now, I think there’s an entire room full of celebrities waiting for your speech.” you quickly pulled away, making sure that you didn’t smear any of her makeup. Hastily, you reassured Scarlett that you would still be there when she was done with her speech but she wasn’t convinced. Instead, she clasped your hands together behind her as Lorelai handed her back her Oscar and headed back to her seat.
What the two of you didn’t realize was that during your reunion, the microphone had picked up everything you’ve both said and there wasn't a dry eye in the audience. Anyone who knew you and Scarlett knew that you were perfect for each other. And anyone who’s heard of you knew that you were the power couple that dominated every industry. You were the ‘it’ couple. One of the only couples the world knew that clicked as well as the two of you did.
You stood behind her, beaming with pride as Scarlett started her speech, her hand still grasped tightly in yours behind her back. “I’m so sorry about that, um, I haven’t seen her in 7 months and yeah,” she chuckled lightly, “I just wanted to thank everybody who got me here. I want to thank…” the rest of her speech faded away from your ears as you admired your girlfriend. You knew without a doubt that this would be the person that you’d spend the rest of your life with. “I also want to thank my partner in crime, Y/N,” you snapped back to reality at the sound of your name. “Without you, then none of this would’ve been possible, you helped me remember my lines and perfect my German accent, which was not easy, by the way, and yet, you never wavered. You never doubted for a second that I couldn’t do this, and I am so grateful to have you in my life. I love you more than words can ever express.” You smiled, kissing her cheek before you led Scarlett down the stairs to get her name engraved into her award. You stood beside her the entire time, holding her hand tightly, squeezing it periodically to reassure her that you were still there. And then again, when she went to get her picture taken. The media had a field day at the sight of you with Scarlett, dressed in old baggy clothes. However, you didn’t care at all. The only thing important to you was Scarlett.
The only time you let go of her hand was when an attendant needed her to return to her seat. You smiled at her comfortingly, “I’ll be back in a bit, love. I need to change into more appropriate clothes for tonight. I’ll meet you back at the seats.” Scarlett nodded before walking away, finally understanding the empty seat next to Lorelai when she saw she had moved down one spot.
“You sly bitch,” Scarlett whispered to her. Lorelai simply smiled before turning back to Cinematography clips.
Soon, Scarlett grew restless wondering where you were. As if you knew about her worries, you immediately appeared beside her, taking a seat next to her, dressed up like everyone else. You were wearing a black mermaid dress with no straps and shimmers decorated the fabric of the dress. Your hair was released from its messy bun and lay to rest on your shoulders. Your makeup around your eyes was dark but simple, just a bit more eyeliner on your waterline.
Scarlett’s incessant staring started to make you nervous and self conscious. “What? Do I look weird?”
“How is it possible that in only a couple minutes you can look so gorgeous while it takes me hours to look like this.” she gestured at herself.
“You look absolutely amazing,”
“You really think so?”
“Definitely,”
“Even if I probably had snot and tears running down my face earlier?”
“To me, you looked like an angel.”

Everyone began clapping again as Rami Malik walked up onto the stage. “It is truly an honor and privilege to be here celebrating the transformative performances as displayed by these five nominees; they're powerful, profound, and indelibly etched in our history and in our hearts.” You smiled excitedly at Scarlett when you saw her picture from Marriage Story show up on the big screen. Your jaw dropped when you saw your performance for ‘Palm Springs’ appear on stage. “Here are the nominees for performance by an actress in a leading role. Cynthia Erivo, Harriet. Scarlett Johansson, Marriage Story.” You cheered loudly. “Saoirse Ronan, Little Women. Charlize Theron, Bombshell. Y/N L/N, Palm Springs.” This time, it was Scarlett who was cheering loudly for you, as you smiled shyly.
“And the Oscar goes to…… Y/N L/N.” Standing up, you had tears in your eyes as you gave everyone a hug. Scarlett gave you a quick kiss before you walked up onto the stage. “Congratulations,” Rami said, when he hugged you.
“Thank you,” you smiled as he handed you your award. Walking up to the microphone, you looked out into the crowd.
“I don’t know if any of you saw it earlier but I literally just arrived…” you laughed lightly, “Um wow… I did not know that I would be winning an Oscar tonight, or else I would’ve been more prepared. Truth be told, I was only really here to support my girlfriend, Scarlett Johansson. I had no idea that I would be winning something too. So, I’ll make this quick, I just want to thank Max Barbakow who even gave me the chance to audition for the part of Sarah. I also want to thank the amazing cast and crew, without you here then there wouldn’t be a movie to make and I am so grateful for all of you. And finally, I want to thank my incredible girlfriend, Scarlett Johansson. If it weren’t for you then I would’ve never even thought about taking this role. You have guided me and supported me through this entire project and I can’t thank you enough. I love you so much more than you’ll ever know. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have about 7 hours left here before I have to fly off to the next destination on my tour. Congrats to all the nominees and the winners tonight!”
Speedily, you walked across the stage and out the back to get your name engraved. You stopped for a couple pictures before you returned back inside. You came back in just as they announced the last winner for Best Motion Picture. The event soon came to a close.
You grinned along with Scarlett as everyone around you congratulated the two of you. Florence even came to tackle you into a hug. After arranging a date to hang out together again, you and Scarlett headed through the back where Lorelai and her driver were already waiting for you inside the car.
You opened the door for her, letting her in first. On the way back to the hotel, the two of you were sitting as close as you could with your seatbelts on. Your arm over Scarlett’s shoulder while she kept her face buried in your neck, trying to memorize your smell. The two of you spent the rest of the night talking about nothing and everything.

A/N• eeeee I’m gonna be writing for Scarlett! I’m likely to only do platonic fics for Scar as I’m not sure about writing anything else for an actual person
-
You sat facing the window while the phone was ringing. Following the raindrops down the glass until your mom finally picked up. “Hey y/n what’s up?” Scarlett asked, “Hi mom, I was just wondering when you’d be home, you said we could have our movie night today” you replied into your mobile. “Oh hunny I’m so sorry I completely forgot, I’m still gonna be at the office for a few hours, we’ll do it another night sweetie” you weren’t really disappointed, you had expected that she forgot. Before you could reply your mother cut you off “y/n I’ve got to go okay I’ll see you later, love you!” You listened to the call disconnect, at least you knew she still loved you, if only she would show you that.
You were asleep by the time Scarlett got home, and she was out before you woke up the next morning. The CEO hadn’t had time to prepare your lunch so she left $20 on the kitchen island for you. You stuffed it into your purse and headed off to school. It was a regular day, the stares and quiet hushes of your peers, the Johansson name hung over you like a dark cloud. It was the second lesson of the day, math, and you had been preparing for your test for the last week. The class fell silent as pens hit paper and you got through the first few questions quickly.
Scarlett was at her desk when her phone rang, your schools number appearing on her screen. “Hello” she said sceptically as she answered. “Hi Ms Johansson, it’s Mr Chan from Bridgewater high, we need you to come and collect y/n immediately. I’m afraid there’s been an incident and she’s been suspended for a week” your principal said. Scarlett was shocked, you had never been in any trouble at school “what’s happened!” She said down the phone. “I’m afraid her teacher caught her cheating on a test, are you available to come and collect her?” Your mother was mortified, she collected her things, asked Kate to hold the fort and stormed out of the office.
Scarlett didn’t say one word to you when she arrived at the school. She stomped back to the car with you half jogging behind to keep up with her. “Mom” you called again, “get in the car” she hissed. “Mom!” You shouted, “y/n get in the car! We’ll talk at home” Scarlett said. The journey felt longer than usual, the uncomfortable silence filled the atmosphere and your leg had began to bounce with anxiety. Scarlett’s grip was tight on the steering wheel, and she made a point of reving the engine to make sure you knew she was angry.
Your mom had you sat at the kitchen table the second you were inside, she remained on her feet and you realised how much trouble you were in. “Why?” Scarlett said “why on earth would you cheat on a test? I don’t understand y/n your one of the smartest kids in that school what the hell where you thinking!” She shouted. “I knew all the answers I just….” You whispered. “You what?” Scarlett said as she slammed her fists on the table “y/n like it or not you are a Johansson and I will not have you drag down the name, I have worked to damn hard!” Your mom screamed. “Well maybe you should stop working so hard!” You sobbed “maybe you should stop working and come home and be with me!” you cried.
Absolute silence fell across the room. Your mom had never heard you shout so loud, never seen you fight so hard to hold back tears. It seemed all at once she realised how you must be feeling “sweetheart” she whispered, a stark contrast from the noise moments before. “You were trying to get caught?” She asked as she came and sat on a nearby chair. “I didn’t know what else to do” you sniffled. “Baby you should’ve talked to me” Scarlett said, a hint of guilt coating her voice. “I tried, but you’re always so busy at the office and filming and now directing” you said as you used your sleeve to wipe your nose.
Your mom had never felt more ashamed. How had she been ignoring the one thing that mattered most to her, gotten so wrapped up in her work life that she hadn’t even noticed how desperate you were for her attention. “Y/n I’m so sorry. You’re right I’ve been so busy and I thought that it would help you in the long run but I completely missed what was happening right in front of me” Scarlett said as she began to softly cry. “I just wanna spend time with you mama” you whimpered. “Oh baby, come here, can I give you a cuddle?” Your mom asked.
You didn’t waste a second as you shuffled over to your mom, settling in her lap and wrapping yourself around her. You cried into her shoulder, soaking her shirt as Scarlett continued to whisper apologies into your ear. “Look at me baby” Your mom said as she gently held your face on her hands “I’m gonna take some time off work okay, it’s just gonna be me and you.” She said. You nodded as she wiped your teary eyes and lent forward to kiss you on the forehead. “Why don’t you go jump in the shower, I’ll order some food and then we’ll watch Toy Story” Scarlett said. “Pizza?” You whispered “of course baby” your mom smiled.
No less than an hour later you were curled up in your mom’s lap nibbling on your beloved pepperoni pizza. You promised not to quote too much of the film but Scarlett knew that was never going to happen. Toy Story was your absolute comfort film, you watched it after a bad day or when you were sick, even if you were just tired it was your go to. Your mom was gently carding her fingers across your scalp, the two of you were wrapped up in a big fuzzy blanket and Scarlett insisted that you were to lie still while she took care of you. Holding the pizza for you to eat and wiping up the sauce that dribbled down your cheek. You would never admit it, but you were enjoying your moms affection even though to others it may have seemed childlike.
When the first film had ended, Scarlett moved to grab the remote but when your head fell limp against her she realised you were fast asleep. “My baby” Scarlett cooed as she twisted you into her arms and stood up to carry you to bed. She waddled into your room and gentle placed you on the mattress. “Mama” you whined when you felt her let go “mamas bed?” You innocently asked “you wanna sleep with mommy tonight?” Scarlett asked, you nodded sleepily and your mom scooped you back up into her embrace, not forgetting to grab your stuffed bunny. You instantly rolled onto your moms side of the bed when she set you down, already missing her even though she was only across the room getting changed.
Your eyes fluttered open when you felt the bed dip behind you, you rolled over straight away to find her waiting with her arms open. You inhaled her scent, a gorgeous smell of cotton and lilies filled your nose. “‘M sorry for cheating on my test mama” you whispered “am I in trouble?” You asked. You felt Scarlett sigh heavily “I think we can let this one slide baby girl” your mom said “we may still have to deal with Mr Chan when you go back to school though” you groaned into your moms neck “he’s a dick” you said “he sure is” your mom agreed. Scarlett switched off the bedside lamp and pulled the duvet up to cover you both. “I love you so much y/n” she said as she began to trace her fingers up and down her back “I love you too mommy” you said with a smile.

Finding Shelter in a Storm
Scarlett Johansson x fem!reader (platonic)
The movie set was buzzing with excitement. "Cut! Perfect take, Y/N!" the director shouted. Y/N Y/L/N, a relatively new actress in Hollywood, had landed a significant role alongside the legendary Scarlett Johansson.
Though the set was always alive with activity, there was one thing that always remained a constant: the sight of Scarlett by Y/N's side.Y/N had faced numerous hardships in her life. From a troubled childhood filled with bullying and familial disconnects to battling severe mental health issues in her teenage years, her life was anything but a fairy tale. Despite her talents, her insecurities often overshadowed her achievements.
However, joining this movie set was about to change her life in ways she never imagined. From the very beginning, Scarlett seemed to have taken an unspoken oath to be Y/N's protector. It started with small gestures: lending her a jacket when the set was cold, offering words of encouragement after a challenging scene, or simply inviting her to lunch so she didn't eat alone.
One evening, after an especially grueling day of filming, Y/N found herself breaking down. The pressures of the industry, combined with her personal battles, made it feel like the weight of the world was on her shoulders. As tears streamed down her face, Scarlett found her, sitting quietly in a corner.Without a word, Scarlett wrapped an arm around Y/N, drawing her close. The warmth and genuine concern in her embrace provided Y/N with a comfort she hadn't felt in years."Hey," Scarlett whispered, wiping away Y/N's tears, "you're not alone anymore. Remember that."
As days turned into weeks, the bond between the two grew stronger. Scarlett became the guardian angel Y/N had never had, guiding her, supporting her, and most importantly, making her feel seen and valued.
Their camaraderie wasn't lost on the rest of the crew, either. It was evident to everyone just how much Scarlett cared for Y/N.During a press tour for their movie, the duo was asked about their off-screen relationship. Scarlett, with a cheeky grin, pulled Y/N close. "I've got to keep an eye on this one," she laughed, "or she'll find her way into some kind of trouble."
Y/N chuckled and shook her head with a smile, her eyes darting to Scarlett. "Honestly, she's not wrong," Y/N playfully admitted. "But honestly, she's the best guardian angel anyone could ask for."
The interviewer, clearly amused by their banter, delved deeper. "We've seen all the posts on social media. Fans adore the 'mother-daughter' dynamic you both share. How does that make you feel?"Scarlett's eyes twinkled with pride. "It's heartwarming to know that our relationship resonates with so many. I think it's a testament to the fact that family isn't just blood. Sometimes, you find it in the most unexpected places."Y/N nodded in agreement.
"Seeing all the support online is surreal. It's like we've become this beacon of hope, showing people that no matter where you come from or what you've been through, there's always a chance to find someone who truly understands and cares."The interviewer nodded, clearly touched. "It's inspiring. Your story, Y/N, and the bond you share with Scarlett, has touched so many hearts. It's beautiful to see."
The rest of the interview was filled with lighthearted banter and shared memories between the two actresses. As they left the stage, arm in arm, it was evident to all that the connection between Scarlett Johansson and Y/N Y/L/N was profound and unbreakable.
Behind the scenes, the two continued to uplift and support one another. Scarlett, with her years of experience, offered guidance to Y/N, helping her navigate the challenges of the entertainment industry. And Y/N, with her fresh perspective, often reminded Scarlett of the joys and spontaneity of life.Social media was ablaze with fan edits, heartfelt messages, and stories from individuals who were inspired by their bond.
As the years went by, their relationship remained rock-solid. Scarlett often mentioned in interviews how proud she was of Y/N's growth, both personally and professionally.
And Y/N never missed an opportunity to express her gratitude for having Scarlett in her life.Their bond became a testament to the fact that sometimes, amidst the chaos of life, you find your anchor in the most unexpected person. And for Y/N, that anchor was Scarlett Johansson.

can i request angst with happy ending with scarlet x reader. maybe they’re fighting and scarlet says something mean to reader that hurts her and she instantly regrets it. they almost break up with reader thinking she’s not good enough but they fix it and make up
I’m sorry
Pairings: Scarlett Johansson x reader, Elizabeth Olsen x reader (platonic), Kate Foster x Scarlett Johansson (platonic)
You were proud of what you did, you really were, being a baker was all you ever wanted. It took you a while to realize as you started college 3 times for different masters and also started some other things. Your family wasn’t the proudest but hey, you did what you love.
So when you met the Scarlett Johansson and she started to flirt with you you just couldn’t believe it. But it was real. So she asked you on a date and another and that is how you end up here. You guys have been dating for 6 months now and normally it was pretty perfect.
But at the moment Scarlett was always at the office and while you were genuinely happy that she was doing so good you didn’t think that it was necessary to miss 14 out of 14 dates in the last 3 weeks.
You understood the first couple of dates but at some point you were done so you confronted her, which led to now. Both of you screaming at each other not even trying to solve the problem anymore.
“Scarlett, I’m not saying you should stop working or anything like that I’m just saying that I want to have a bit of time with you” you said annoyed.
“Well, I’m sorry Y/n but this isn’t how it works” she screamed from the other side of the room. You hated this, you were going in circles again and again, you tried to explain your point, she told you this isn’t how it works and that’s it.
“I know how it works I’m just saying” Scarlett didn’t even let you finish. “No you don’t Y/n! You’re a baker and you’ve barely finished anything in your life. You don’t even have the right to complain about this! So no you don’t know how leading a company works and this company is worth more than your stupid dates!” She screamed and you froze.
You’ve always been insecure about being with her while being just a baker but she told you it was fine. Seems like it wasn’t and you were right all along. That doesn’t mean it didn’t break your heart. And you always thought she liked your dates, they were your way of showing affection but you never meant to seem clingy.
“Y/n… I” this time you interrupted her, “I gotta go, I’m sorry” you were quick to grab your purse and the jogger you always left at her house for comfy nights before running out of the door to your car.
While you were running out and driving god knows where, Scarlett was still shocked from what she did or rather what she said. The worst thing was that she didn’t even mean it, she loved your dates and she was so proud of you for following your dreams but the last couple of weeks have been stressful. She didn’t even noticed that she was neglecting you and she felt terrible for blowing up on you.
You sat in your car with tears streaming down your face trying to figure out what to do or where to go. After a while you decided to text Elizabeth.
Y/n: Hey, I think Scarlett and I broke up… wanna do something tonight? :/
Elizabeth: So sorry to hear that hun, how about getting drunk and partying?
Y/n: at 7 pm at mine?
Elizabeth: see ya there :)
You knew this wasn’t the healthiest way to cope but you really needed it and you could tell Lizzie all about what happened.
The two of you actually met through Scar, they came into the bakery and something between you two just clicked. Not like a romantic way but you were best friends immediately.
So you sat next to Lizzie in a bar at 7:30 pm telling her what happened. “And then she said I didn’t know how it is to own a company and that I never finished anything and that my dates are stupid and annoying. I just wanted more time with her…” the last part was barely a whisper and was drowned in a shot you took immediately after.
“I’m so terribly sorry to hear that, but maybe you guys can fix it again huh? Did you break up officially or are you just guessing?” She asked while wrapping an arm around your shoulder. She liked Scarlett but she loved you and what Johansson said to you was definitely out of pocket and made her really mad. But being the good friend she is she didn’t wanna show it and decided to rather be supportive of whatever decision you were going to make.
“I don’t know, I just disappeared after what she said but it’s clear she doesn’t want to spend time with me right? So why should I go back to her” you stated before downing the next shot and standing up to pull Elizabeth onto the dance floor. “Let’s dance and forget about her please” you told her and started to let loose.
While it probably would have been smart to stay with the two shots, you certainly didn’t. You flirted around on the dance floor drinking every drink someone offered you. Looking back that was extremely stupid to take a couple of pills before but you wanted to forget about the feeling of not being enough and you wanted to forget about the guilt that build in your stomach and if this was the only way it would be fine with you. You definitely were sorry for Liz but it was to much at the moment.
Well, now you were sitting in front of the club throwing up, feeling dizzy and barely noticing anything. Lizzie pulled you out of the crowd when she saw your state. “Y/n, hun, what’s wrong? Can I help you in any way?” You shook your head before throwing up again and loosing your consciousness.
The oldest Olsen sister panicked but quickly called an ambulance. When it arrived they put you in the car and drove you to the hospital to take a better look at you and do some blood work. They didn’t let Elizabeth into the car as she wasn’t family or married to you.
In the ambulance they found your phone and opened your emergency contacts, calling the first one.
“Y/n, I’m so glad you’re calling. Look, I’m sorry for what I said, I…” Scarlett started but was interrupted when a man on the other side of the line spoke up.
“I’m sorry this is frank smith from the NYC Health + hospital. A woman, Elizabeth, called us as the patient went unconscious in front of a club. You’re her first emergency contact.” The man explained leaving Scarlett shocked.
“I’ll be there in 10 minutes” she answered.
And she was but by now Olsen was already in front of your room pacing up and down. She flipped when she saw Scarlett. “How dare you turn up here, huh? Who do you think you are coming here like this isn’t your fault?!” She screamed standing in front of her.
“This isn’t your business Olsen! Now move out of my way” Scarlett growled trying to shove past her. “No, you hurt her, you said things you KNEW were going to hurt her but you still did. You neglected her like she was worth nothing and now here we are! In front of her hospital room, hoping that she survives after taking pills and washing them down with alcohol!!” Tears were running down both of their faces. Elizabeth was so mad and scared that she couldn’t keep her tears in while Scarlett was so scared and felt so guilty that she was sobbing by now.
“I’m sorry ok? I didn’t mean to say all those things and I didn’t even mean those. I love her alright?” She mumbled.
“I’m sorry are you here for miss Y/l/n?” A doctor asked making Scar nod. “So, it seems like Y/n took a couple of pills and mixed them with a lot of hard alcohol. We had to get it out of her system but she should be fine in like a day or three. After we did the last check up then she can go home, but you can go in if you want” she explained before disappearing into the hallway.
Scarlett and Elizabeth walked into the room gasping when they saw your lifeless form. Scar ran to you and gabbed your hands gently kissing them while mumbling ‘I’m so sorry’. Lizzie only sat back praying for you to be okay.
After two days you started to wake up while Scarlett got something to drink. “Hey, hey you’re alright hun” Olsen said as she sat down next to your bed and brushed the hair out of your face. Tears of joy were running down her face again which you gently wiped. “I’m sorry for scaring you like that, I just I don’t know. I guess in my drunk head I thought this was going ti make it better” you explained.
“It’s alright, but I gotta warn you real quick. Scarlett is here, they called her as she was your emergency contact. She stayed here the last two days…” a second later Scarlett came inside.
She gasped when she saw that you’re awake. “Oh my gosh, you’re awake, I was so worried and I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t…” her words were cut off as she started to sob while hugging you but you didn’t move.
“Y/n, come on, please talk to me… I know I fucked up but I promise to make it better just let me…” she started again but this time you interrupted her. “Lizzie can you leave us alone for a moment?” You asked her causing her to nod and leave the room.
“I don’t know if this is gonna work” you said as you looked her straight in the eyes. “Babe, come on. I know I said terrible things and that I hurt you and I’m so stupid. I was really stressed and mad at myself for not giving you enough attention. But I talked to Kate and I’ll be taking of the next two weeks just to spend them with you, I thought I could help out at your amazing bakery” she rushed out holding your hand in hers.
“You don’t have to, I know you don’t like the bakery and that you love your jobs. It’s not like…” it was her time to interrupt you. “I don’t hate the bakery, I actually really like it and enjoy being there. Without it I may have never met you. And yeah I love my job. But Y/n I love you so much more and I feel terrible for neglecting you! Please let me make it up to you” she said before kissing your cheek.
“You don’t have to do that. We can just break up. I won’t tell the media anything about it” you weren’t sure if she was being truthfully or just wanted to look good in the media.
“I don’t give a fuck about the media or anything like that. The only thing I’m interested in is fixing what I broke. So please?” You nodded causing her to squeal and hug you tight.
“So you love me huh?” It was the first time she said it and it made your heart melt. “I do, a lot actually” she said softly kissing your lips. “Well, in that case I love you too” this time you kissed her lips and pulled her next to you on the bed.
After you were finally released you and scar drove to her house where you ordered food and watched all of Scarlett’s movies which kind of was your revenge. You cuddled all day and went to the bakery the next day.
Scarlett apologized a lot of times and spent a lot more time with you and even helped you at the bakery every other day. So yeah, sometimes relationships are rocky but it doesn’t always have to be bad. Sometimes it makes them even better.
I really hope you like this and that all of you have a great day :)

Mama will always protect you.
Summary: You are the daughter of Natasha Romanoff and Dreykov wanted you. After saving you and Yelena, she struggles with you having a flashback.
Type: angst with a little fluff
Age: 11 then 12
Triggers: Red Room, torture, mentions of blood, panic attacks, flashbacks, meltdown, screaming.
Tumblr media
————————————————
You sat against the wall of the cell you had been kept in for the last 6 months. Your head was pounding and you could feel the blood pooling in your lap from the newest broken nose. You were taken by the red room as “payback” from your mother getting the two of you out of there.
A loud bang and a vicious laugh could be heard as you slowly sat up wiping the blood from your nose to see Dreykov. He was holding a laptop which he sat on the bed opposite you and flipped the screen up revealing your mother, uncle clint, aunt laura and aunt wanda staring at you with wide eyes.
“Mama…” You croaked out with a crooked smile. “Hi…”
“Oh detka…” Your mom said, voice hoarse with tears before the two of you snapped your heads towards Dreykov who chuckled.
“My best widow. Ruined by love.” He said looking at Nat who was rough. Her hair was in a messy bun, her eyes were hollow, she looked pale.
“Mama… take care-“ You were interrupted by a coughing fit, you pulled your hand back revealing a small pool of blood in your palm. “Take care of yourself. Please…” You looked up at her with wide eyes. “Aunt laura… don’t let her-“
“I know baby. I won’t.” Laura interrupted you in a sad voice. You felt a slap on your cheek, hearing your mother growl slightly before you looked up at the man who you despised.
“Love is-“
“For children.” You spat, a russian accent showing in your voice. “я не идиот.” You glared at the man with a look your mom didn’t recognize.
(i’m not an idiot)
“Don’t fail the next mission Widow.” He spat back slamming the laptop shut and turning out of the cell slamming the gate closed.
—————————
It was another 6 months before your family was finally able to track you, you had been trained as a widow again, Yelena being by your side, neither of you knowing who the other was. When your family officially took down the red room, they were able to save both you and the blonde.
You were both still under the serum so had to be cuffed. You didn’t even recognize your own mother. On the quinjet, Yelena pulled a serum out from her pocket and sprayed the two of you making everyone panic momentarily before you looked around confused.
“как я сюда попал?” You questioned before finally landing your eyes on Yelena and a smile grew on your face. “Yelena!” You cheered throwing yourself into her arms, making the older woman run your back hugging you.
(How did i get here?)
You heard someone shift around and immediately sat up straight, your head hanging down making Yelena take your hand gently. “It’s okay y/n/n. It’s just my sestra. She’s here to save us…”
You looked up slightly through your eyelashes glancing at the blonde before your eyes shifted over to a redhead sitting in front of you. Your eyes widened and a grin plastered itself on your face. “MAMA!”
You threw your body into hers, her arms instantly wrapping around you, one hand instantly cradling the back of your head, the other hand rubbing circles on your back. “Ох моя любовь.” She muttered into your ear. “Мама извини, что так долго.”
(“oh my love” “mama is sorry it took so long”)
“No it’s okay mama… you saved me… and Lena!” You pulled back with a smile on your face as tears run down it. She covered your face in kisses with a smile.
“I did baby…” She smiled and looked over at Yelena who had a confused look on her face. “Yelena… I know you kept her safe for a year but I want you to officially meet my daughter…”
“Wait… Lena is my aunt…? This is aunt yelena?” You asked looking back at your mom. “That explains why i was so attached to you…” You muttered looking at Yelena.
“Wow…” Yelena muttered looking between the two of you. “How have I not noticed the similarities?”
“Mama… is- is he gone…?” You turned looking at her, no emotions in your face.
Natasha studied your face, noticing all the new scars and the lack of emotions. “Detka… how are you feeling?”
Your face fell completely flat as you pulled away from her sitting up straight. Yelena quickly pulled your hands into hers.
“It’s not him. It’s your mama.” Natasha noticed your breathing had quickened and your eyes haze over. “Come on. I can’t help her!”
“I can. She’s having a panic attack.” Natasha jumped in, Laura jumping up as well. You were pulled into the redheads arms and a blanket was being placed over your head. A soft humming was heard and before Yelena knew it, you had settled down and were clinging to her shirt. “You’re okay malyshka. Mamas got you. I am never letting you go again.”
“Don’t! don’t say that! you can’t promise that!” You wailed burying into her neck more. “Mama you can’t keep that promise but i want you to stay! I don’t wanna go back! Please don’t make me go back!”
You yelled now hitting her chest with your fists. You flailed out of her arms screaming falling to the floor as you continued to scream. They couldn’t blame you. You were only 12. “I don’t like him! I hate him! I want my mama! I want mama!!! Take me back to my mama!!! MAMA!!!”
Natasha sat frozen in her seat as she stared at you, unsure what to do. Her green eyes were wide as you threw yourself around. Laura and Wanda both instantly jumped into action. Laura pulled your flailing body into hers and Wanda put soft memories into your head. You calmed down and your arms wrapped around her neck as your screams turned into sobs. You inhaled the familiar scent of your aunt and your sobs turned into hiccups. “Auntie Laura… want mama… i want mama…”
“Mama is right there peanut… mama is here safe just like you…” You sniffled clinging to her shirt, your head slowly turning to face the direction of your mama. You locked eyes with her and hiccuped. “See? Right there peanut. Mama is right there.”
“Mama…” You mumbled the growing need to throw yourself into her arms physically hurting you but unsure if she wants you too. A year of torture from Dreykov telling you that she doesn’t care clearly beating the 11 years of her showing unconditional love.
Natasha let out a sob and Laura instantly passed your shaking frame to her and the redhead wrapped her arms around you again. “My love… oh my sweet baby… Mama is here. I will protect you. Mama will always protect you.”

There is no such thing as a good morning. Y/N knew this firsthand.
Even now, when everything was finally turning out in her favor, the morning concealed a devilish trick that threatened to become a real disaster if she ignores it. Y/N carefully slipped out from under the covers so as not to wake the sleeping man by her side and went into the bathroom, where she hastily washed herself and tried to collect her thoughts somehow.
Dressed into her best outfit, she quietly left the house and greedily took a breath of fresh air, not fully understanding at what point exactly her life went awry. Was it when she was thrown jail for something she didn’t do or when she agreed to work for Scarlett she had no clue. The only thing she was certain about is that she was so fucking stuck in a huge mess and if only she could turn back the time she would strike Scarlett in her impudent face and leave.
The phone vibrated in her pocket, and Y/N hailed a taxi, giving the address of a small street cafe where she was already awaited. If she knew that her life would soon take another unexpected turn for the worse, she would never leave her house that morning.
“I am sorry for being late, Miss Johansson” Y/N said as she sat down at a table directly across from a thin woman dressed in a business suit, consisted of a dark red silk blouse tucked into an overly tight black leather skirt. The redhead was slowly drinking her coffee and reading the newspaper, as if she was in no hurry to go anywhere and was not expecting anyone, but the appearance of Y/N clearly inspired her.
Scarlett looked up from her newspaper and glanced at the young woman with sharp cold eyes.
She smiled, but her smile was empty deprived of any trace of emotions and warmth and held out her hand. Y/N was surprised at this gesture, but shook hands in return nonetheless. “No worries, Miss Evans,” Scarlett replied, and Y/N winced.
Since when did she become “Miss Evans” for this devil woman? For the last months she only been called slave or toy. Nothing else. Literally. Can it be that an expensive coat and her blue cashmere jumper really changed her view into other people’s eyes?
Even though the morning has just officially started, people were already in a hurry to get to work. Some of them were taking their time having their breakfast. Y/N looked around, feeling uncomfortable sitting in the sun, in an open area at the busiest time. She could feel shivers running down her spine, which was never a good sign. She ordered coffee in a somewhat somehow constrained way and clamped, just to blend in with the rest of the customers.
“What did you want to discuss?” She immediately got down to business, not wanting to drag out this meeting for longer than necessary. “I am all ears.”
“The time has come.” Y/N raised her eyebrows in surprise. She knew that time was slowly sinking through her fingers, but she was not ready to betray him so soon. Her nerves were on the edge. An extremely dangerous state of mind.
“And what do you want now?” She asked Scarlett and smiled at the waitress when she brought her coffee. “Thank you.”
As soon as the girl left, Scarlett came straight up to Y/N’s face and whispered something in her ear. “Give me all the information you’ve collected.”
The girl felt how her fingers curled tightly around the cup. Suppressed anger, resentment and rage were slowly bursting out onto the surface. “Not now” She said and stared into the amused redhead’s eyes.
Scarlett laughed then abruptly stopped and dangerously low said narrowing her eyes. “Remember who you are talking to, pet. Your life depends on me. You don’t look like a person who was offered bigger amount of money...  Oh no…Don’t tell me that my slave suddenly became attached to the man in her bed? How mane has been in his place?”
Y/N gritted her teeth angrily and looked away. She was sick of this Scarlett’s habit of showing her superiority over others, even sicker than when Sebastian did it. Stan’s superiority over others come out more natural,  elegant and organic, while Scarlett’s superiority seemed fake, poisonous and vile.
“Don't think that if we're in public and you are my mistress that will save you from being punched in your pretty face.” She outburst, collecting for the punch that never came. Scarlett just chuckled, perfectly aware that no strength was going to happen out of this threat. Her located nearby people would stop Y/N when she would just raise her hand. People like Johansson were never alone.
“Just remember…” Scarlett said as she stood up, buttoned up her coat and was about to leave. “Getting attached to Stan is your biggest mistake that will destroy you. One way or another. Whether it would be me who kills you or him.”
Left alone, Y/N drank her coffee, then got up and threw some money on the table and went home.
Returning home she cautiously opened the door, took off her coat and shoes and went into the bedroom. Sebastian rolled over onto the bed, pulled the blanket to his chest, but he did not look absent-minded or disheveled, he was clearly awake and even cleaned himself up.
“I betrayed you” Y/N said. Simple as that and with no warning. There was no way to prepare someone for such truth reveal.
“I know” Sebastian replied just as simply, not surprised at all.
“For how long?”
“For quite a long time. I was just wondering if you decide to confess or not.” Said Sebastian pulling out a hand with a gun clamped in it from under the blanket. Sebastian’s eyes were filled with sadness, even grief, and Y/N made no attempt to escape or defend herself.
“Sorry,” she shrugged and chuckled a little. “You will find a flash drive with everything I collected in the pocket of your yesterday's jacket. There are if not everything, then a lot. And…Aim for the head, not the heart.” She whispered, looking straight into the blue eyes.
Then there was a shot.

Prison Break- The Unknown Widow:
-The Seventh Circle Prison-
We steadily hover over the Russian Prison; on the way here we- meaning mostly Natasha, formed a plan in order to rescue Alexei Shostakov; the infamous Red Guardian himself. From my time in the Red Room, I can remember how Dreykov reminisced on the days that he used the Red Guardian to his ‘full disposal’. I did always wonder what happened to him- well now I know.
Yelena receives a ping on her device to signal that Alexei has activated his ear piece/tracker. She is sitting up front with Natasha, piloting the aircraft. I would help, but Natasha made it very clear that she doesn’t want me to have any part in this, for reasons beyond me. All I can think is that she still doesn’t trust me- I guess I’ll have to show her that she can. I could always ask Yelena to put Natasha in her place, but I don’t want to overstep or put her in a position where she has to pick a side.
I look up front when I hear Natasha’s voice boom through my headset, “Today is your lucky day, Alexei”.
Yelena moves the device towards Natasha, I lean forward from my seat at the back to see the screen. I can barely make out the map of the Prison, along with a green dot to represent Alexei’s position.
“Move to the door on the south wall.” Natasha instructs him.
We don’t hear a response from his end, so we can only assume he’s following her instructions.
I choose to crouch down in between the two piloting seats, much to Natasha’s dismay. I just simply roll my eyes at her, whether she likes it or not, I’m involved in this. Yelena shows me the display, sending me a smile before turning her attention back to the scene ahead.
“Go left. Just don’t make a scene.” Natasha guides Alexei through the layout of the Prison.
Distinct shouts of protest can be heard through our headsets, suggesting a brawl breaking out, causing Natasha to comment, “You made a scene, didn’t you?”
“What? You actually expected him to follow simple instructions successfully?” Yelena mocks, causing a smile to grace my lips. From the image they’re painting of Alexei to me, he doesn’t sound very reliable at all.
We can see from the device that he- somehow, managed to escape the Prison through Natasha’s guidance and a few door tricks.
I stand up and look towards the ground, noticing a door flying off its hinges and a scruffy looking man exiting the building-is this really the former Red Guardian?
He staggers across the ground. We hear his voice sound through the communication system, “What now?” He grunts.
“We’re gettin’ you outta here.” Natasha replies.
Yelena and Natasha menovure the aircraft into a better position to allow us better access to Alexei.
“Um, that’s not a good sign.” I say as we watch the swarm of guards and inmates surround Alexei.
Natasha shakes her head before instructing Alexei, “Go to the upper level.”
Alexei scrambles through several gates; whilst avoiding flares being thrown at him by prison guards.
“Move your ass, super soldier.” Natasha encourages him along.
With quick, skilled motions, Alexei scales a wall. That is until he is tasered by a guard, causing him to fall straight back down to the ground.
“He’s never going to make it.” Yelena says.
“Get me closer.” Natasha tells Yelena, causing her to give her a sceptical expression.
“You got a better idea?” Natasha finishes off.
I see this as my opportunity to help, so I stand in front of Natasha as she gets up from her seat, “Natasha, let me help, come on I’ll go down there and help Alexei. You can stay here with Lena.” I attempt to plead my case to Natasha.
“No Lara, just go sit down and I’ll deal with it.” She says as she grabs the equipment needed to scale down to the ground.
“Why not Natasha, just because you have the title of an Avenger, doesn’t mean-“ Natasha cuts my words off with an outburst.
“It’s because I don’t trust you Lara. You’ll just end up screwing the mission up and I can’t allow that to happen.” She glares at me, causing me to look towards the ground in hurt. I’d do anything to protect either of them, but hearing Natasha confirm my suspicions sends a wave of uneasiness through me.
I miss the way Yelena glares at Natasha, silently signalling for her to let me help.
Natasha releases a heavy sigh before saying, “Fine, go up front with Yelena, and help her pilot this thing.”
I look up to her in surprise; not expecting her to change her mind. I remove my headset before rushing over to the front with Yelena, placing Natasha’s headset over my head. I look over to Yelena and give her a heartfelt smile, knowing she will have had something to do with Natasha’s sudden change of heart.
Yelena gives me a light punch on the arm, causing me to playfully roll my eyes as I get into position and buckle up.
Natasha asks for us to unlock the door; I press the unlock switch and look over to her as she readies herself for her jump.
Once the door is opened, she grabs hold of a rope-like material and leaps down from the aircraft.
She swings as Yelena and I gently guide the aircraft down, allowing her an easier landing.
She masters a flip from the rope and lands heroically on one of the top levels; holding many guards.
I raise an eyebrow at her form; and Yelena shakes her head, “Such a poser.” Yelena says, causing me to laugh, remembering our conversation in the gas station store.
Whilst maintaining control of the aircraft, we watch as she uses the rope to swing and kick a guard directly off the platform. She then delivers harsh strikes on the other guards, alternating which foot she uses to carry out her attacks. Natasha then sends the rope swinging directly into the remaining guard- the metal hook at the end serving as a means to knock him out.
As soon as she takes out the guards, I remove my headset and unbuckle my seatbelt and go towards the open door.
Yelena snaps her head towards me, “You’ll be alright on your own won’t you?” I say as I prepare my suit for the jump to the ground.
“Wait, what are you doing? Natasha said to stay on here!” Yelena shouts, compensating for the sound of rushing air muffling her words.
“Natasha can say what she likes, that doesn’t mean that I have to listen to her. See you in a bit!” I say as I jump out of the aircraft.
Yelena can’t hold this against me, she should be used to my spontaneous behaviour by now.
As I am falling down towards the ground, I activate my suit’s glide mechanic, causing a strengthened material to make wing-like shapes under my arms and between my legs. Allowing me to control my movements in the air. This feature is possibly the only good thing to come out of the Red Room, it allows me to cover more ground quickly, and has saved my life more times than I care to remember.
Thankfully, I zoom straight past Natasha- avoiding the infuriated expression I’m sure she’ll be displaying at my blatant disregard for her words.
I tilt my arms in the appropriate directions to avoid stray bullets and structures that I don’t want to crash into. As soon as I spot Alexei, I place my arms down my side and charge my way down to the ground.
I pick my target- an inmate striking Alexei, and I plough straight into him- taking him out instantly.
Once I deactivate my glide mechanic, I get to work in defending Alexei, giving him a clear window to make his way up to the higher platform, and board the aircraft.
“Get to Natasha, I’ll deal with these guys.” I tell Alexei, I expect him to move but he just looks at me in shock.
“Go!” I shout which seemingly knocks him out of his trance as he makes his way across the ground.
An inmate grabs my shoulder, which causes me to grab his wrist tightly and twist it, causing him to yelp in pain. I duck under his arm, causing it to stretch behind him, I push it hard causing a snapping noise to sound through the air. I ignore his cries of pain and kick him away as I move to the next inmate approaching.
I aim my grappling hook at him and swing it enough to latch onto his prison uniform; I pull harshly on the rope, bringing the inmate close to me. Using the advantage of the velocity travelled by the inmate, I deliver a brutal hit to his face. This causes his legs to come from under him due to the force, allowing me to punch him to the ground.
I quickly glance up to see Yelena steering out of control due to the guards firing at her. She nearly takes Natasha out in the process as she tries to regain control. I wince at the close calls Natasha has with the propellers of the aircraft.
After a few seconds of swaying, Yelena finally regains control. All I can see from my lower position is Natasha waving her arms frustratedly at Yelena, most likely telling her to steer away.
Due to my distraction, I fail to notice the guard making his way towards me, allowing him to get a free strike at my jaw. The force from the hit sends me down to the ground, I gently grab my jaw, cringing at the pain. I look over to the guard, seeing him activate a stun baton.
I feel an excess of blood fill my mouth from the hit, I spit it out on the snow below me and stand up. The guard gulps at my protective stance. He lunges towards me, attempting to stun me with the baton. I quickly grab it; placing a hand on the weapon and his arm and kick him in the stomach, causing him to let go. Once he stumbles back I use the baton to send a shockwave through his neck, after a cry of pain I put him out of his misery and headbutt him to knock him out.
I give my head a firm shake to even out the pain throbbing through it.
Suddenly I hear a huge explosion behind me, I look up to see one of the guard watch towers has exploded.
I look around confused until I notice Yelena holding a rocket launcher in her hands. I know she isn’t looking at me, but I give her a disapproving shake of the head at her actions- she’s far from discreet, I’ll give her that.
A distant rumbling fills the air, causing us all to look around. At first I can’t pinpoint where it’s coming from, until I see the snow build up in the distance slowly making its way towards us.
“Oh my- Yelena!” I shout in annoyance, realising she’s caused an avalanche.
“Tell me that’s a good sign for us!” I hear Alexei shout not far from me.
“Move your asses!” Natasha shouts to us both from the higher level.
We instantly bolt towards the ladders, desperate to make it to higher ground.
The snow starts coming in rapidly, causing many guards and inmates to scramble back inside the prison to take cover.
Alexei launches himself from a guard’s shield to hop up to the next level.
I avoid most of the crowds by using my grapple hook to hoist myself up, level by level.
The inmates pick up their pace, as the rumbling becomes even louder, signifying its closeness.
“Get us outta here!” Natasha shouts up to Yelena, hoping she’ll move herself over enough for us to board the aircraft and escape.
I finally make it up to Natasha’s level, I jog over to her completely out of breath from my efforts, waiting for her to make her move.
She turns to me with a hardened glare, “I told you to stay!” She shouts.
To which I reply with a breathless, “I know.”
I clutch my sides, breathing heavily as she continues, “Yet you’re standing in front of me-“ I hold my hand up to stop her.
“Look, this lecture is absolutely mind blowing, but I think we’ve got an escape to master so if you’ll excuse me.” I say as I look up to see Yelena lining up the rope for us to leap on.
Natasha and I take a running start, going alongside each other in sync as we finally cross the railing and latch onto the ropes hanging from the aircraft.
Yelena pulls up so she can do a U-turn and rescue Alexei- whilst narrowly avoiding multiple explosions.
I clutch onto the rope for dear life, swinging along with the aircraft’s movements. I squint to attempt to locate Alexei, that’s when I spot him yelling at us to pick him up.
I look down at Natasha, she looks at me and then nods up, signalling for me to go. I struggle up the rope, trying to make my way back into the aircraft as she attempts to grab Alexei.
Yelena finally lines the aircraft’s route with Alexei. The snow starts to build up, making it extremely difficult to see if Natasha caught Alexei.
As I’m near the top, I grunt as the snow surrounds me and nearly causes me to lose my grip from the force.
However, Yelena manages to lift us up into the air, avoiding being lost to the avalanche. I look down to see Alexei clutching onto Natasha, relieved that she managed to grab him.
I use one last exertion of force to pull myself back into the aircraft, gasping for air at the struggle.
I hear Yelena laughing at the front, causing me to get up and go over to her.
“First of all, what the hell were you thinking!?” I say as I playfully flick her head, causing her to let out an exaggerated ‘ow’.
“Secondly, well done Lena!” I say as I place a grateful kiss on her head for saving us.
“What did you expect, I am a pro after all.” She states.
I hear grunting from behind me, so I rush over to help lift Natasha into the aircraft, which she actually allows me to do for once. I’m about to pull Alexei up but he has already lifted himself up.
“I do actually need some help up here!” Yelena shouts.
I looked over in confusion- why didn’t she just ask whilst I was standing there?
Natasha gently guides me aside as she takes her place next to Yelena. I’m hoping these signs of gentleness are an indication that she finally trusts that I’m in this to protect everyone and stop the Red Room.
I sit down on one of the seats in the back, finally being able to relax after the near death experience.
Alexei staggers over to the doorway, shouting “прощайте, мудаки!”
I roll my eyes, just hoping he doesn’t fall out as he’s shouting otherwise that entire mission would be a waste.
He slams the door shut before running his fingers through his hair.
“Oh, that was exciting; oh, I’m so proud of you girls.” He says, breathing heavily.
I lean my head back onto the wall of the aircraft, closing my eyes for a moment until Alexei shouts, “Oh, you can’t hear me, huh?” -If only that were true at this moment in time- with having my newfound headache making its appearance.
Natasha and Yelena attempt to ignore him as he tries to catch their attention.
He looks around and sees a spare headset resting from across me, he quickly grabs them and places them on his head. I release a sigh and grab the set next to me so I can hear what he’s about to say.
“Ah… wow.”
He releases a grunt of pain in response to a punch in the face delivered by Yelena. I quickly covered my mouth in order to suppress the laugh that was desperate to escape.
After a few groans, and a rub of his face, he continues, “Okay, why the aggression, huh? Is it your time of the month?”
I roll my eyes at this, here we go.
“I don’t get my period, dipshit. I don’t have a uterus.” Yelena tells him.
“Or ovaries.” Natasha includes as she glances out at the scene surrounding us.
“Yeah. That’s what happens when the Red Room gives you an involuntary hysterectomy. They kind of just go in and they rip out all of your reproductive organs. They just get right in there and they chop them all away, everything out, so you can’t have babies.” Yelena informs him as she acts out all of the actions involved in the process.
Alexei releases many uncomfortable noises at hearing the details of what the Widows have to endure.
He staggers back and is about to sit next to me, to which I tell him, “Don’t even think about it.” Causing him to sway himself to sit on the other side of the aircraft.
He looks over at Yelena as he takes a seat, “You don't have to get so clinical and nasty.”
By this point, Natasha and Yelena glance over at him, “Oh, well, I was about to talk about Fallopian tubes, but okay.” She looks over at me before turning back to face the front, I give her an amused smirk at her attempt to wind Alexei up.
Alexei looks over at me, in a similar way he did when he first saw me at the Prison. The surprise in his face confuses me.
“You know, I am surprised you’re here with the girls, you know with the whole history and everything.” He states directly to me.
I lean forward towards him, “What? What history? What are you talking about?”
Natasha briefly glances at me and shouts, “Don’t listen to him, he tends to make shit up. I wouldn’t worry about it!”
Alexei looks at her with his mouth open, shocked that she would accuse him of such things. I lean back and think over what he said- the only history I have with Yelena and Natasha is that of the Red Room- nothing further, but that wouldn’t warrant me not working with them. I want to push Alexei further until he turns towards Yelena and Natasha.
“It means so much to me that you came back for me.”
“No. No. You’re gonna tell us how to get to the Red Room.” Natasha firmly instructs Alexei, not wanting to entertain his words.
He looks over at me in uncertainty, “Huh? Whoa, look at you, huh? All business.” He clearly takes offence to Natasha’s blunt tone towards him.
“Trust me, this isn’t pleasure.” Natasha enlightens him.
I lay across the seats in the back, releasing a pained sigh at the conversation at hand.
“Little Natasha, all indoctrinated into the Western agenda.”
“I chose to go west to become an Avenger. ‘Cause they treated me like family.” Natasha attempts to defend her actions of leaving Russia to start her new life away from the trauma of the Red Room.
Alexei looks at Natasha in disbelief, “Really? Family? Well, where are they now? Where is that family now?”
I look over at Yelena, seeing her glance over at Natasha. It seems that she’s not the only one who still holds a grudge for Natasha attempting to move on within their little ‘family’ that was created; and in Natasha’s eyes, left behind in Russia- in the Red Room.
Natasha dismisses Alexei’s attempt to tarnish her relationship with the Avengers, “Tell me where the Red Room is.”
He takes a moment to pause, glancing at each one of us before saying, “I have no idea.” We all scoff in return- knowing he has some knowledge that could help us.
Natasha roughly removes her headset and makes her way to the back. She taps at my legs, causing me to sit up, “Go sit with Yelena.” She tells me quietly.
I huff a breath of exhaustion before moving past her and sitting in the pilot seat next to Lena. I place the headset on before taking hold of the piloting controls needed to guide the aircraft.
Natasha knocks Alexei’s headset from his head as she sits in the seat I was recently occupying, “Come on. You and Dreykov were like…”
“Dreykov?” Alexei exclaims.
Causing Natasha to confirm.
“General Dreykov, my friend, huh?” He says as he slams his back into the aircraft surface, “Gives me glory… Soviet Union’s first and only super soldier. I could have been more famous than Captain America. Then he buries me in Ohio on that stupid mission.” He rambles on.
I scoff in disgust, what I would have given to be placed in Ohio, pretending to be part of a family; instead of being tortured daily and being sent to kill not just enemies, but allies once they had outlived their use. I grip the controls tightly, annoyed at Alexei’s lack of awareness.
“Three years! So tedious, boring me to tears. No offense, huh?” He says to Yelena as she looks at him in loathing.
I look over at Yelena, attempting to catch her eye; she looks over and I give her a slight nod- a silent question of ‘are you okay?”
She gives me a nod in response, guiding her vision back to the snowy mountains in front of us.
Unfortunately, Alexei continues his rambling, “Then puts me in prison for the rest of my life. Why, huh? Why? Why would he put me in… You know why? ‘Cause maybe I want to talk about the withering of the state; or maybe I don’t like his hair or something and I say something casually about that. Maybe, you know-“
I attempt to zone him out after that, hoping that he’ll exhaust himself with his words and give our ears a rest.
Though my attention is spiked as soon as I hear him say, “I’m not the one who killed his daughter.”
I glance back at Natasha attempting to gauge her reaction- Though Yelena picked up on this topic in Budapest, part of me has always wondered what involvement Natasha really had in Dreykov’s Daughter’s death. It always seemed that on the anniversary of her death was when Dreykov was at his worst- the pain inflicted on me mostly increased. I had no involvement in this so I want to know why I was effectively punished in her place.
Natasha just looks away with a shake of her head, attempting to cover up her hurt with the topic being brought up.
“Though, I guess he got his payback with that one right?” Alexei says cryptically, directing his gaze towards me. I look over at Natasha confused; she mirrors my expression.
Yelena sighs before asking- clearly dismissing Alexei’s odd comment, “Can we throw him out of the window now?”
I continue to look at Natasha, though hopeful now, wanting her to agree to Yelena’s suggestion. We’ll have to get Alexei to justify his words later on when he’s not as hysterical over Dreykov’s betrayal.
“I think we should wait till we get to a higher altitude.” Natasha remarks, probably more serious than Alexei would like.
Alexei interrupts by asking in Russian, ‘why not ask Melina where it is?’
Yelena whips her head around and asks, “Wait, Mom Melina?”
I look over at her, finally realising where Melina fits into all of this after days of wondering.
Natasha looks at Yelena in a puzzled way until she says to Alexei, “We thought she was dead.”
Alexei simply scoffs at the statement, “You cannot kill a fox that swift.”
I turn my face up in disgust; rather remaining ignorant to his apparent attraction towards Melina.
Yelena smirks at my expression, she’s probably used to Alexei’s vulgar ways.
Alexei briefly explains his and Melina’s role in the Red Room, gracing us with the information of her residency in St. Petersburg.
Having mentioned her being a prime scientist in Dreykov’s schemes, I sit and attempt to recall her presence within the Red Room, having never come across her before. Dreykov made a point for me to be aware of every member of the Red Room, having held a higher rank myself- why would he keep Melina and I separate?
I look over to Yelena when she speaks up, “Uh… I don’t think we have enough fuel for St. Petersburg.” I look at the fuel gauge and see that we have nearly run out of fuel, most likely running on the reserve.
“No, we’re good. We’ll make it.” Alexei assures us.
Yelena gives a lack of convincing, ‘okay’ as a response.
She was right to do so, since we ended up plummeting to the ground shortly after.
If this day has taught me anything, it is that Alexei Shostakov is quite the character.

Your writing is really cute! May it continue to go well for you <3
If I may request, what if Scarlett Johansson was cast in acommercial as Pinocchio? During the shooting, her nose actually grows whenever she lies. No one knows it's actually her nose except the reader who is Scarlett's agent who tries to help cover up that it is her nose. This would be a comedic fluff story as Scarlett appreciates the reader's help. I hope this is alright, and hope you are well!

It was 5PM, you were tired, but you knew that this was the last thing on your schedule and then you were good to go home.
You were currently staring at Scarlett, watching over her as the makeup artists did their work on her. You had to admit that she looked cute in that Pinocchio outfit. She was supposed to shoot this commercial about wood and, for some odd reason, the executive producer thought it would be a great idea if she was dressed as Pinocchio. You honestly thought nothing of it, since the whole thing was a favor from Scarlett to that said executive producer.
They were about to start shooting, when you suddenly realized the look on Scarlett’s face. A few seconds ago, she was happily chatting with one of the makeup artists. You could tell she was flirting with them, their red cheeks given them away. And then a second later, Scarlett’s face dropped. She looked both confused and scared, more scared than confused. She got up quickly and ran to her dressing room. Everyone on set was as confused as you, and given that you were the only one who knew her well enough, their eyes shifted to your frame. It hit you, then, that you were the one supposed to go check on her.
You ran up to her dressing room and knocked softly on the door.
“Scar, is everything okay?”
“Y/N, DO NOT COME IN!” her words startled you, she only raised her voice at you when she was losing it.
Something was really wrong with her.
“Scar, what happened?” worry filled your tone.
“It’s just, something is really wrong, okay?”
“I’m sure it is something that can be fixed,” you tried to calm her down.
“I don't know what is happening, Y/n. I don’t understand why is happening.”
“Just opened up the door, okay? Let me help you,” you tried.
You were about to speak up again, when you heard the door unlocking. Scarlett opened up the door, her right hand was covering the lower half of her face, hiding from you her nose and lips.
“What’s going on?”
“I just, let me show you,” she put down her hand, but still you had know clue what she was on about. You raised your eyebrow at her, to which she rolled her eyes at you. “Okay, umm, I believe you are a horrible person,” she blurted out.
You were going to reply to her when suddenly her appearance changed, her nose grew a full centimeter bigger. Your eyes grew wide, your hand covering your mouth in shook.
You both stay a whole minute in silence, you processing what you just saw and Scarlett internally freaking out at your no-reaction. She then realized that this wasn’t a dream or a hallucination, it was actually happening.
“Oh my god,” was all that left your mouth. You coudn’t believe your eyes. Her nose actually grew out of nowhere. It was only a centimeter, it was hardly noticeable, only you could tell the difference since you saw when it happened.
“I’M FUCKING TURNING INTO PINOCCHIO,” you snorted, you didn’t mean to, it just happened. “Y/N!”
“Sorry, I’m sorry. It’s just humor is my coping mechanism,” you tried to stop your laughter.
Scarlett didn’t know if she was going to laugh as well, or if she was about to cry. But then when your laughter filled the room, she couldn’t help but laugh as well. This was the most stupid crazy-ass situation ever.
“Okay, yeah, it’s a bit funny. But what are we going to do, Y/n? I can’t shoot this stupid commercial with my nose like this. You know I don’t believe anything I’m supposed to say in it, it’s all a scam, and if I lie my nose will keep on growing,” she said once both of your laughters died.
“Do you want me to tell everyone that you got sick?”
She gave it a thought, but then shaked her head.
“No. What if it happens again when I try to shoot it for the second time?”
“Yeah, you’re right. We can’t risk that. What if you called the blue fairy?” you joked, Scarlett, once again, rolled her eyes at you. “Sorry, coping mechanism, I just told you.”
“Y/n, I need a real solution here,” you nodded at her words.
“Yeah, yeah, I know. Let me think,” you started to pace around.
Her eyes trailed your figure as you walked back and forth, anxiety creeping over you knowing that Scarlett was counting on you to save her ass, like you usually did. After what for Scarlet felt like a whole hour, you stopped your pacing and turned to her.
“Okay. It’s only about two centimeters bigger, it’s hardly noticeable for the rest. What if I call in SFX Makeup and tell them you want a nose prosthetic that looks like Pinocchio’s nose?”
“I don’t know, Y/n…”
“Think it through,” you cut her off. “Bryan is going to love it, he suggested this whole Pinnochio idea, and the prosthetic will cover your nose.”
“What about when the shooting ends? Am I going to have to live with this forever?”
“One problem at a time, Scar. Don’t worry about it, we’ll figure it out later, okay? I’m going to call them in, yeah? They will cover your nose with a fake one and no one will tell something happened to your actual nose. You are going to look cute as fuck,” you gave her a reassuring smile, gently squeezing her hand, before walking out the door.
After closing the door behind you, you dropped your back on the door, taking a big breath.
“I don't get paid enough for this shit,” you mutter, before heading to the SFX Makeup department.

As you predicted, Bryan, the executive producer, loved the idea. Somehow he told everyone that it was in fact his own idea, but you couldn’t care less if it only meant that Scarlett would be done with this. Meaning you'd also be done with this.
The shooting ended by 7pm. You thanked it didn’t take them longer since you were tired and you needed a solution for Scarlett’s little problem.
You watched as Scarlett made her way to her dressing room, subtly touching her fake nose so it wouldn't fall in front of everyone, you trailing behind her.
You closed the door once you both were inside. Scarlett’s back was facing you.
“What is it, Scar?” you softly asked her. You notice that now the fake nose was in her hand.
“Look how big it is!” she said, turning around for you to see her nose.
Your eyes grew wide for the second time that day. Her real nose now resembled the fake nose she had on a few seconds ago.
“What am I supposed to do now?”
“Umm, let’s get this stuff off of you, yeah?” you said, referring to the Pinocchio costume. “You go take a shower, okay? It will make you feel better,” you gently pushed her inside the bathroom, before she could complain to you.
While Scarlett was taking a shower, you did a little search on Pinocchio’s nose. You found out on Reddit that a lot of people said that Pinocchio’s nose should shrink once he tells the truth. You thought it was all bullshit, but given that you saw Scarlett's nose grow bigger you thought that the least the two of you could do was try that.
Once she got out of the shower, you told her what you found out online.
“Well, here goes nothing.”
“If this doesn’t work you can always get a nose job,” she gave you a death glare. “Sorry.”
“Okay, umm, my name is Scarlett Ingrid Johansson,” the both of you went silent for a second, waiting for something to happen. “This is use–,” but you shut her.
“Look,” you pointed at her nose, and the both of you watched as her nose got a centimeter smaller.
You both smile at each other, relief washing over you that this shit was actually working out.
Scarlett started blurting out truths, she would say things like the earth was round, her blood was red, the ice is solid and so on. Her nose getting smaller with each truth. She was now a centimeter away from her nose getting back to normal.
“And, Y/n is really pretty,” she finished, a grin plastered on her face. You could only roll your eyes at her and chuckle at her statement.
“You are a dork.”
“Oh my god, it worked. Hey, but what if I lied again?”
“Well, unless you don’t want your nose to grow again, just don’t lie,” you winked at her.
“Y/n,” she said, her tone indicating disbelief.
“You can always get that nose job.”
“Y/N!”
