Hi love!

I would say the first thing to do is to ensure you have a healthy sleep, nutrition, and movement regimen in your everyday routine. And then, here are some of my other tips:

Schedule your studying around your breaks/rest time, not the other way around. Even if you're studying and writing the same amount as you would be otherwise, this change in perception can lessen your stress levels thereby freeing up brian space

Give yourself something to look forward to every day. It can be as simple as a nice and soothing shower, a face mask, a walk with a great playlist, watching an episode of TV show you like, getting your nails done etc.

Consider your "why" for this exam season and how this motivator facilitates your other/long-term goals. Perceive your exams as a useful stepping stone to reaching certain goals vs. a reflection of your capabilities, intelligence, or self-worth. Depersonalizing and objectifying the discomfort is key

#i called my dad and he's gonna fly out tomorrow #i feel so bad dragging him out here just bc im having some sort of breakdown #he's already been thru so much in the last 2 months. i hate that ive added to his stress #i dont kno how im gonna get things done this week. or how im gonna get thru the rest of the semester. or what im gonna do this summer #my life just feels like an absolute disaster. it's all been leading up to this: a catastrophic meltdown #but im stuck not being able to meet with my counselor until may 6th. not that it was very helpful last time. nor was my emergency session on #Thursday. i just dont kno what to do. so that makes it hard for ppl to help. i just feel like im a child throwing a tantrum #i just want to burn it all down. im so tired. i dont kno y i picked a career that makes me feel so stupid #maybe i should just stop. defer a semester or stop altogether and do something else #i dont have the self discipline to do something so far above my head. i dont care enough. i dont care about anything #ugh. but my dad is coming tomorrow so i should clean my room and try to get my assignments done before he gets here #ugh. this just sucks. its so stupid and frustrating #unrelated

This fic is something special 😵‍💫 Based on Joel falling for webcam model!reader, this story is stuffed with lots of wonderful things: a bashful and bisexual Joel, possessiveness, sexual exploration, a deeper emotional connection, and sinfully gorgeous smut. Written so incredibly well by @psychedelic-ink, I come back to this story over and over again because I just love this concept and it’s been executed to perfection.

A Lover’s Pinch - I truly can’t think of words that do this fic enough justice. It’s burrowed into my brain and made a home there. Joel is reader’s professor, but they’ve become very well acquainted before that fact is realised. Yeah, it’s as hot as it sounds. @hier--soir writes fic so poetically; this reader walked off the page and into my heart. Jessie, I can’t wait to see where you go with this story. I’m so wrapped up in how irresistible reader is to Joel, and how his loss of control when it comes to reader is conveyed. Chefs fucking kiss.

I Know Your Beat, Baby.. Joel is reader’s boss when they get a job with their brother for the summer, and goddamn, was this fic everything I hoped it’d be 😮‍💨🤌🏻 Joel is filthy from the get-go, and it only gets better with every line. It’s the ultimate fantasy; this is what PWP was made for, and @party-hearses took that very seriously. Intoxicating, indulgent and downright dirty. What more could you want? I'll finish replying to an ask from Aubretia later (if I don't fall asleep) but between that and some other stuff I saw again tonight, I think I might be ready to write a Clear Card Trivia post about the Squids and the Association. 🧐

It might be one of the most difficult posts I'll ever do (for the thematics implied) but I think it might be time to talk about this aspect of the story......since I never see anyone talking about it, if not in a way that totally misses their point in the narrative.

I hope it won't take too long to organize the thoughts in my head and write them down in an exhaustive, coherent and clear manner.
