Words alone do not convey our philosophy nor our love for others. It is through thoughtful, considerate actions that these are demonstrated. Our faith and our philosophy shine in our behavior.” Daisaku Ikeda

I’m trying to enter a “thoughtfully messaging people” era. so if I see something that reminds me of someone? i’m sending it to them. miss talking with someone? i’m messaging them. just want someone to know i’m thinking of them? i’m telling them that.
best case, it makes their day or it starts a conversation. worst case, they don’t respond… so i’d say those are pretty good odds.

It’s always the little things you do that I notice. The way you look at the moon. The way your eyes light up and your lips turn upwards when you see me. The little notes you leave around the house. How you always have fresh flowers on the table. And the small acts of kindness you do for people and animals. All those little things make me love you more each day.

To be honest to the void
Hello void
The thing that scares me most in the world is that other people run primarily on feelings. Teachers? Only work if you're one of the 'good' kids. Aid? Only deserved if you're the poster child of suffering. Politicians? A joke. Genocide- coverage of said genocide? All pathos.
Even just being online is so dangerous.
I'm alexithymic, and having nuanced takes on things is my favorite hobby. My morals are great and my politics are getting better all the time, but every once in a while I'll get attacked for liking something that isn't perfect. Absolutely blindsided because I don't know what the current rage stream is.
... I have critical thinking skills. The media I consume does not go straight to my identity. Why is that so hard for people to understand.
It also means the art I make gets zero real engagement. I'm really into metaphor and abstraction, but people just don't interact with that, because the feelings aren't spelled out.
Finding people who take the time to get things is so rewarding, but- I feel like it shouldn't have to be so fucking hard.
When I was a kid, I was taught to be as wise and empathetic as Jesus himself. And I sure do make other people happy because of how deep in my bones that is.
But no one warned me how lonely that would make me
Oh, and if you think me recognizing I'm odd and have worked hard to be my best makes me egocentric, you're part of the problem. Thanks. Goodbye.

“Ye live not for yourselves; ye cannot live for yourselves ; a thousand fibres connect you with your fellow-men, and along those fibres, as along sympathetic threads, run your actions as causes, and return to you as effects.”

Life truly lived is a risky business, and if one puts up too many fences against risk one ends up shutting out life itself.
