Sick Day with your pets – Rook, Jamil, Leona, Kalim and Floyd
Being sick is no fun but it is an opportunity to have your trusty pet take care of you or for you to take care of them.  This is a story from Aurora’s Pet AU.  Check out her original works too. @glass-cage-of-emotion-12
Master is sick.  Which pets are great to have taking care of you?

This is probably not the most obvious one but Rook is such an observant pet that he has already noticed your slight fever before you even feel off.  By the time you are pulling out the thermometer to check your temperature, he has gone to the store and returned with just the medicine you need.  Lie down now master and let him take care of you.
Feeling bored just lying in bed?  Rook is prepared to entertain you.  Would you like to hear a story?  Rook seems to have seen every play that’s been on stage in the past 10 years.  Interested in a song?  He will gladly serenade you until his voice gives out.  Fancy some poetry, well reader, you are most certainly in luck.  Rook has composed a ponderous amount of poetry in your honor that he’d love to recite to you at this very moment.  And yes, it is mostly in French.
When you want to get up, Rook isn’t the sort of pet to keep you in bed.  He will tell you honestly if he feels like you are getting up too soon but, if you chose, he is perfectly fine in letting you make your own decision.  If you fall ill again, well you’ve learned a lesson and who is Rook to deny you such a marvelous life experience.  Ah master, seeing you valiantly fight against the hand of fate.  Beaute! 100%!

Jamil probably doesn’t notice you are sick right away; he is very busy with his household duties, after all.  Once you call him over and sheepishly ask if he can make you a soup, well that is when his nurse mode takes over.  He once had to share a room with a pet that seemed to always need taking care of.  Due to this, his efficiency at putting you to bed and arranging everything needed for rest and recovery is top notch. 
The best part of being sick with Jamil in the house is obviously the cooking.  He will not only make you a classic chicken soup but he also seems to know a recipe for every little symptom that ails you.  Have a sore throat?  Jamil has the perfect honey sweetened tea for that.  Have an upset stomach?  Jamil will make you a lightly seasoned rice porridge.  Fever won’t stop?  Have a refreshing yogurt smoothie.  It’s the most delicious way to get over your sickness!
The hardest part of having Jamil as your nurse is getting him to stop fussing when you feel better; he is just so invested in your care.  Are you sure you wouldn’t like to stay in bed longer, he can make all the necessary calls to get you off from work.  Perhaps you should let him carry that heavy book for you, it wouldn’t do to strain yourself after you’ve so recently recovered.  Worried about holding him back from his chores?  Don’t be.  He has already finished everything for today and gotten a meal prepped for tomorrow.  Anything you need master, just consider me your genie of the lamp.

Ok, ok.  Leona isn’t exactly the first one to come to mind when you think of someone to take care of you.  He does seem like the type to say, “Not my problem!” and ditch you for a nap but…
Let’s talk about naps for a moment.  You know how some days you are feeling under the weather and just need to spend the day in a dark room resting?  Ok, now you see where this is going.  Leona is like 100% the best napping buddy you could ask for.  He knows just how to pull the shade to make the room pleasantly dark or set you up on a couch with warm sunlight.  And if some other pet makes too much noise, Leona will take care of that too. >:(  
If you wake up from your nap you may even discover he has joined you.  Feel free to cuddle up to him, scratch his ears or ever touch his tail.  He’ll allow it this time…but only because you are sick!
You might even get to see his surprisingly capable side.  If you are sick for too long, he notices.  You’ll wake up to find that he has made you an appointment at the doctor, arranged a taxi and will even accompany you to make sure you get there safely.  He’ll take care of everything, so no complaining!  Quiet down Herbivore.  Be good now and when we get home, I’ll help you work on that little roar of yours.
Pets get sick too.  Who is the most interesting to care for when sick?

Maybe it was something he ate but today your little ball of sunshine Kalim has no energy.  He lays on the sofa watching you quietly with his sad red eyes as you go about the day.  Try to send him to bed though and he will insist that he’ll be too lonely if you don’t go with him.  Congratulations, you’ve volunteered to sit at his bedside.  Hold his hand and rub little circles on his palm, the happy smile he gives you is worth the effort.
He will talk to you in a soft voice, asking you questions about many things; your life, your favorite things, your dreams…he wants to know all about you and this opportunity is too good to pass up!  Please tell him stories; he doesn’t care what kind.  He will smile happily when the hero wins the love of their paramour.  He will yell out loud during the exciting parts.  You will scare him when the villain appears (don’t forget to give his hand an extra squeeze).
How can you tell when he feels better?  He will probably ask you for a feast.  Hey, he was sick and needs to eat now to recover!  Just make sure you are the one ordering lunch or you may be in for some surprises.  What do you mean Master?  95 white Persian monkeys are a great addition to a casual lunch! Ha ha!

When you see him just sitting quietly, you know something is up.  Ask him how he is feeling, and he will give you a long appraising stare.  If you continue to meet his eyes, he will finally tell you he isn’t feeling well at all.  The fact that he opens up enough to let you know when he isn’t feeling well is a major show of trust.  You must be doing something right!
What you do after that is highly dependent on his mood.  If he is in a good mood, he will want to have you cuddle up and play with him all day long.  Watching afternoon game shows on TV?  Check.  Playing card games?  Check.  Having ice cream for lunch?  Why not?  It’s just like being a child again.  Are you making him feel better or is he making you feel better? 
Or, if he is feeling down, he will only allow you to talk to him while he continues to lay down.  Don’t think that he isn’t paying attention though.  Not only is he taking in everything you say, but he is also keenly observing you.  If you aren’t careful, he’ll get all your secrets out of you.  Hmm, but you told Azul we had fried chicken that day because you didn’t have time to cook.  So that is what really happened, huh Master?  Don’t worry, I won’t tell…for a price.  I hope you are prepared to play with him all day tomorrow too.

B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?
Trey greatly admires your skills with manual labor. Or if you're not very good at it, it's more about your effort to always try to improve. Having ambition measured right like a cup of sugar is a good thing. Especially when doing things you like and appreciate, just how he does with cooking;
Trey also loves your smile. He jokes that it is because he likes to see your teeth — and that you are following his recommendations — but in fact, he likes your expression when smiling. Trey is in favor of the thought that a person becomes much more beautiful when they smiles and you are proof of this;
And when do you smile when you do something you like? Wow, it's a very effective way to make his heart beat faster. Trey likes those little, subtle details about you. It's what makes you be you.
J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
Trey never thought of himself as a jealous person until he met you. Yes, he lets you hang out with your friends and be close to whoever you want without any problem. Even he needs breathing space sometimes. But when you spend too much time away from him and it's because you're with a certain person all the time, there's something sour in his mouth;
He needs to put up with Rook saying things like “jealousy is the saffron of love” and not let the potion he's preparing explode in his friend's face. Heck! Trey is mature, a simple normal guy. He shouldn't be feeling that kind of thing... but he is. What he needs to do to deal with this?;
To get around the situation, Trey takes recipe books to decorate. There is something in numbers and ingredients that simply takes his mind away from problems and bad thoughts. Trey hates this jealous part that just popped up in him, but over time, he'll be able to control it. He doesn't want to cause you any trouble.
K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
Believe it or not, Trey is good at many things, but kissing isn't necessarily one of them. It's nothing fantastic, out of this world. It's simple, ordinary. But for you, that's exactly what makes his kisses special and precious;
Following his personality, sometimes there's something different about Trey's kiss. Not that you can explain well what it is. Trey also doesn't care about your ability to kiss. It is you who he is in love with, your lips are just the cherry on the Black Forest cake. Cherries are good but, the sweetness of the cake is in the chocolate and cream that compound it;
Your first kiss took place in Heartslabyul's Garden during a Unbirthday party. You two sneaked through the maze of roses and exchanged confessions and foods you liked. Sitting and leaving the food aside, you both kissed for the first time. Some students might be looking for both of you, but the garden has saved your important moment.
L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
Hidden away in the labyrinth of roses, far away from the party that was taking place in the dorm, you showed him that you had made a Mont Blanc tart especially for him, even though you knew it was against the rules of the Unbirthday party. Your confession took place there;
Trey was so touched by your courage and equally surprised by your suicidal tactics that he first wondered if he should hug you or eat thetart as soon as possible before Riddle saw it. But in the end, he had a much better idea: to answer your confession;
You hadn't noticed, but Trey also brought something with him. It was your favorite food, very well packaged and lovingly made. “Normally, I say I use only normal ingredients and nothing else, but... this time, it was really made with love.” Trey is really sweet.
O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
Trey realizes right off the bat when he's in love with you. He's not so naive as to take decades to understand what’s the matter with him. The problem is another: what to do with this conclusion? Slowly express his feelings and hope you realize it too? Spend more time with you or act normally? Was there a way to act normally in these cases?
Preparing recipes is something so much easier. The instructions are right there, there was no way to mess it up. However, Trey had no one to instruct him in this. He was the oldest of his siblings and one of the oldest in the dorm. And other classmates either had no experience as well or were crazy. Just in case, Trey sought to be himself and act naturally. But his gaze always delivered his true feelings when you were close or he watched you from afar;
Cater and Rook noticed from day one. Trey went on to experience daily stress every time Cater exaggerated your compliments to him and Rook would start talking about romance when you were together. That’s because sometimes Trey prepared pastries and foods especially for you when he noticed that you were not eating well. He kept the best pieces of cake from the parties for you. He always encouraged you to do your best in your studies, believing in your potential. It was more than obvious, wasn't it?

Jack was never one to place too much value on aesthetics. Not that he despises external beauty, none of it. It's just that there are more important things than the appearance of a person, that's what he thinks. But when Jack watches you, he always pays a lot of attention to your eyes. This is already his normal behavior because “eyes are the window of the soul” and it is easy to determine someone's genuineness by their gaze;
He loves the color of your eyes, whatever it is. The way it shines when you talk about your favorite hobbies and things, the way the sun and moon give their special effects on it, how it enchants and inspires;
It is also a part of you that will never change with the years. And Jack hoped that you would always retain that glow in your gaze. The joy in your eyes when you looked at everything you liked and loved. He hoped that one day you could look at him that way... until one day he realized that it was just like that from the beginning.

In Jack's mind, he's not jealous but his gaze always says the opposite. If you are talking to someone who apparently has bad intentions, Jack is around and quiet, letting you lead the conversation but, his gaze is direct and accurate. The moment they talk anything slightly indecent to you, he would show his claws;
Jack doesn't follow you everywhere, excessively worried about the people who cross your path. He lets you have your space to do things and have fun whenever you want. It helps that he is a close friend and, one way or another, he’ll always be included in things. But sometimes, he looks for you with his gaze over the horizon. If you are around someone reliable, he is more relieved;
“Keep calm, keep calm,” Jack says to himself when he feels jealousy erode him more violently than usual. Part of it is the wolf instinct in his veins, this solemn loyalty to his only match. Another part is concern. You are important to him, so he turns out to be protective anyway. Jack knows how to control himself. Above all, he does not want to be a burden to you. But have patience and compassion with him sometimes in these moments. He's still young, after all.
K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
Jack has zero experience in relationships. To make matters worse, the books Vil offered “casually” as a reference to help him about his first love do nothing but roll his stomach. For sixteen years, he has accompanied his parents being the cutest couple in the world and romance books — at least most of them — don’t seem to quite understand this concept. Some almost throw it out the window;
So he gave up and swallowed the insecurity. Either way, better or worse, that would not be your relationship’s weakness. Jack knew you better than that. You would receive the true feelings that he didn’t know how to verbalize, even if they were shown in the most clumsy way possible. You would know;
And that's how the first kiss happened. Awkward, inexperienced, careful. But you were so happy that he finally told you that he loved you that something like that didn't even cross your mind. You only knew how to hug and kiss him until he started laughing instead of frowning, worried about the kiss. Even if he picked up the practice someday, it didn't matter. You love him the same way.
L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
It was a moment so millimetrically calculated — and effective — that Jack could offer his services to Leona and be the new strategist for the magift team. If he could thank one simply perfect aspect of the occasion it would be... the dawn. Strange as that sounded, asking you to meet him on the roof of the Ramshackle Dorm at five in the morning was one of the best decisions he made in his life;
Even though you found the time of the meeting strange, you accepted. In fact, the reason for this was very simple: everyone would be asleep and no one would come to disturb you two, and Night Raven College was very beautiful in the early morning. You noticed it right away. The sun gradually rose on the horizon, bringing light to that great college and its gothic and gloomy architecture. Jack always loved this sight when he went out for a run;
And to your surprise, Jack extended you a letter. Well, it was a paper with a long text written with a pen that Jack trained yesterday’s whole afternoon to do. Just choosing the words, correcting, reviewing, conveying everything he wanted to say to you. Ruggie was his beta reader — and when he looked at the paper without laughing and really touched, Jack knew it was perfect. You finished reading it all while he was busy looking at the landscape to distract himself from the nervousness and you simply said, “Jack, I love you too.” He almost fell off the roof. It wasn't going to be much harm to him, but it was a tremendous scare all the same. Not knowing what else to say, Jack hugged you tightly. Never before has someone received a direct and blunt answer so well, but you knew it would be the best for him. A gesture much appreciated.
O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
Apart from you, maybe Jack was the last to notice that he was in love. Epel always gave small hints about how Jack used to sit next to you, cared about you or in the middle of some conversation sometimes he would comment about you, but — although naturally defensive — he never connected these actions, the meaning of them and the motive behind them as love. Damn, even Deuce knew before him!
Once he understanded his true feelings, Jack spended several moments torturing himself about what to do and how to act. He is not good with words, but being defensive all the time whenever he does something kind to you could end up giving the opposite impression of what he feels — Epel rightly considered this possibility. Jack didn't know what to do. You were so nice and good to him that perhaps the best solution was to act as normal as possible. And if you praise him... he shouldn’t answer. Opening his mouth to say something was very dangerous;
Courage is a very admirable quality in Leona's opinion — even if he himself doesn’t attribute it to himself. But he can clearly see in you. In the small and big things, you get up and go to help others. To defend your friends, to say what you think, to do what is right and sometimes, even to do the wrong;
However, there was something Jack was good at: actions and gestures. When you needed help, he was ready. Studies, sports, shopping, banal things, anything. He was your guy, no matter how embarrassing it was to say it out loud. Jack would help you carry things that are heavy or that you were carrying in excess. He guided you to get the best food from the cafeteria and was willing to help you train anything you weren't doing well in PE. Simple but full of meaning. Always loyal and reliable, that was Jack.

Kindness is also another thing that Leona admires a lot about you. The patience to be close to him and make him think about things. The banter between you becomes more jokes than actual offenses. The way you always showed that you care about him and in a very genuine way;
Technically it's a physical feature, but it's kind of weird to describe. Leona finds beautiful the way you breathe and how your heart beats. Perhaps because it is a rhythmic and constant sound, as proof that there is someone next to it. He clings very much to this detail. Oh, and legs! Your legs are a great pillow for the head that carries the crown. Leona spends a good five minutes fixing his own position on top of your legs, until, having found the perfect spot, he stops and sleeps for hours to no end. Your legs end up getting pretty strong because of this.
J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
“Jealous? Leona? Pff, no. He's too lazy for that,” you joke sometimes. It's not like Leona simply doesn't care about your life. Sometimes he tells you not to mix too much with the Diasomnia crew, especially Malleus. Other times he tells you to watch out for Rook. In others, he tells you not to walk too much with the Adeuce duo so that your neurons don’t atrophy. That's all…;
Then you spend a whole week just seeing your friends and at the first opportunity you pass in Savannaclaw, Leona is sleeping in his room and pretends not to notice your presence. It's... like a big cat very angry that you came home after cuddling other street cats. He ignores you, turns sideways every time you approach one side of the bed;
Because of the difficult childhood and with servants who had little to no patience with him, Leona was always the kind of child who accepted things that had not gone his way with a frown. No tantrum, no screaming, No expressed complaints. Just bad mood and sleep. It usually works, time passes faster and he only pays attention to the really important parts of the stories about your day with your friends;
[An addendum because I found this hilarious] It rarely happens but that’s exactly why you never forget it. Leona sometimes allows himself to be dramatic and say “It's unforgivable you leave me for so long to be surrounded by idiots.” It always makes you laugh and your laughter ends up improving his mood a little. Just a little bit.
K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
It is difficult to classify Leona in this part. There are days when he is magnificent, living up to the name and weight the prince title has. On such days, he is simply charming. On other days, his kisses come out lazy and fast. Little pecks always deposited on your forehead only to later he stay still for a moment, lips against your head, just enjoying your company — it actually mean more than you can imagine;
On the moment of your first kiss, he was playing with your hair when you teased him. “It is at these hours that Prince Charming kisses his beloved after declaring himself,” were your words. After dealing with him for so long, you ended up creating the finesse of saying things like that. Leona responded with a smug smile. It’s necessary to appreciate a good roar when he listen one;
And unexpectedly, with all the pomp, Leona kisses your hand. “Whatever you want, my love,” he speaks softly, feeling you shiver. And then, you two kissed. It's not a fairy tale kiss. It's raw, intense and realistic. But you can feel all the love that Leona can't put into words there. Even in the most arid of hearts, love always finds a way to express itself.
L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
Direct and objective, but the atmosphere turned out to be unexpectedly romantic. Leona and you were in the Botanical Garden at night. You heard that Leona hadn’t returned to the dorm and the first place you passed was there, knowing that he would have overdid his nap session. Leona awoke to your footsteps, kinds of in awe at the way the moon shone upon you as you approached him;
Before you could say anything, fireflies and little flora fairies appeared. It was a beautiful sight. Leona offered you a place next to him to contemplate the view of the Botanical Garden in the nortune ambience and you accepted, happy to share this moment with him. You really could feel the love that night. “I love you...”;
Following these words, Leona said your name for the first time ever. Your heart almost jumped. His eyes were serious, but there was a little smile on his lips. It was said finally. Leona thought how the brightness of the first rays of the sun in the Savannah didn’t compare with the brightness of your eyes that moment.
O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
Age aside, love is something kind of new and strange for Leona. Almost incomprehensible. It takes a while for Leona to properly notice that he was treating you slightly differently from others. Because your presence turned out to be important, because he slowly began to care about you. Ruggie realizes this much better than he does. And it is precisely when he is chuckling all the times that Leona mentions “that little herbivore” that the pieces began to come together;
If it gets to Leona's ears that you need help, he does something to make things work out. Sometimes you don’t even understand that he is the one who leaves the books of that difficult subject on your doorstep, you don’t know that Savannaclaw has express orders not to bother you just because you are “the magicless human” there. Leona makes good excuses for his behavior and the others end up heeding it, too afraid of his defensiveness to overthink about it. But Ruggie and others closest to Leona know the reason;
Let's say that Leona starting to sleep in places where you usually pass ends up testifying against him… a lot. All just for you to wake him up and drive him to a more comfortable place to rest or ask him for help in your studies. Sometimes it's just for you two to talk more. He appreciates those moments in his own way.

A Painfully "Exotic" Shake
So @fungusfangs made an incredibly cute little sequence yesterday with Fatgum and Tamaki that involved Tamaki drinking a really horrible protein shake full of all manner of various meats to store him with extra abilities. It was so funny I had to make a fuller fic for it especially since it got me back on my 'maki bend~ >////<
"Here ya go! Down the hatch kid~" Fatgum insisted in his jovial way upon handing Tamaki a very peculiar looking protein shake.
The elf-eared boy shifted anxiously when he looked down at the thick bubbling drink. "S-So much...?!" Tamaki asked in a way that almost sounded like a nervous whimper. "...It's so heavy..."
"Ya so best t'try and drink it fast so ya don't notice the taste...or texture..." Fatgum insisted with a beaming smile and a heroic thumbs up.
Tamaki nervously sniffed at the rather sizable shake in his hands. If that wasn't enough to make him cringe the gurgling erupting from the beverage definitely was.
"...W-What's even in here...?" Tamaki asked in a soft but exasperated way.
Fatgum's beaming smile gave way to a flat expression.
"...Uhhh...s-sensei? What's in this drink...?" Tamaki repeated.
Fatgum may have been Japanese but the deafening silence clearly screamed 'pleading the fifth'.
"Sensei?! What is in this?!?" Tamaki nervously yelled out now visibly shaking adorably with fear at what Fatgum was asking him to ingest.
"...Dragonfruit!" Fatgum insisted with a terribly unconvincing smile.
"Dragonfruit doesn't burble like that!!" Tamaki fearfully shouted back.
Oh god it was churning. Was what Fatgum wanted Tamaki to drink even meant for human consumption?!
"Y-You'll be fine! Honest!" Fatgum insisted. "It's...uh...a turbo recipe!"
"That isn't a thing!!"
"Fer a kid with a quirk that involves eatin'? S-Sure it does! It's...y'know...fer yer quirk! We wanted t'jam pack as many animals into a single protein source as possible so-"
"-You made an exotic animal smoothie?!??!" Tamaki all but shrieked with wide-teary eyes of horror.
"...Well it...kinda sounds bad when ya word it like that..." Fatgum admitted sheepishly.
The pro hero sighed in defeat when he saw Tamaki trembling in that fearful way of his at the mere thought of touching a "drink" like that.
"...Alright maybe I got carried away," Fatgum admitted a little more sincerely. "Thing is kid...we dunno how this showdown's gonna go tomorrow. It's all on the line and I just wanna make sure yer as prepared as can be fer what lies ahead. But even I wouldn't touch that shake with a twelve foot stick of taffy..."
Tamaki's shaking steadily leveled out while his fearful expression softened. He knew the truth to Fatgum's words. What they were up against tomorrow~there was no guarantee any of them would survive. Something like the liquid abomination in his hands may have come in very handy in a pinch if it gave him access to a whole slew of different abilities.
So he stiffened his back~undid his vest so only his tight long sleeved spandex shirt remained then took a deep and steady breath.
"Uh kid? What're ya-"
Fatgum's face once again drew blank when to his utter shock and horror Tamaki raised the big thick cup with both hands and actually started chugging it down.
Tamaki clenched his eyes shut and didn't want to think about the horrible chunky concoction flowing down his gullet. He just wanted to get it all in as fast as humanly possible.
The elf eared boy chugged so hard that Fatgum could hear his throat squelching with each disgustingly wet and loud gulp Tamaki gave.
He wasn't stopping either.
For as timid and anxious as Tamaki was the boy was one of the biggest eaters Fatgum knew besides himself and Kirishima. Tamaki could not only eat a whole heck of a lot but he could consume it incredibly fast.
Fatgum himself fought back a gag when he saw the purple horror dribble down from the sides of Tamaki's mouth. He was chugging so much so fast that the godless concoction was starting to spill down onto his spandex.
With Tamaki's vest undone his lean tummy was extenuated by how tightly the spandex wrapped around his body. But because of how big and how heavy the "shake" was Tamaki's stomach started to bulge out a little beneath his spandex. There was a curve to the front of his tummy that was beginning to grow a little rounded the more he downed his protein shake without stopping.
Tamaki breathed heavily through his tiny nostrils but didn't think about how nasty it tasted or how it felt rushing down his throat. He just had to get it in his belly and be done with it. So he just chugged and chugged to where he was tearing up. So much air was filling his tummy all at once and breathing was starting to hurt. But he was almost done. He just had to finish a little bit more.
Fatgum was watching on edge like he was watching a horror movie on the verge of a really bad jumpscare.
He wasn't joking when he said Tamaki was the strongest of any of the heroes.
Anyone who could chug something that dreadful the way Tamaki was had might not even the all time greats could top.
One hand fell to his tummy and gently rubbed it while he drank what remained of the "shake". God he felt so full already. Tamaki could eat so much more than what this terrible shake had to offer but it just felt so weighty and from a liquid slurry it just sat heavier in his increasingly rounder belly than a buffet worth of food.
Every gulp Tamaki gave was audible and painfully thick sounding. His thin athletic throat continued to throb and pulsate as more and more of the sickening mixture poured into him. He was trying desperately not to think about how terrible it all tasted and the uncomfortable thickness of the texture that Fatgum warned him about. But it was getting harder.
To Fatgum amazement and horror though~the boy managed to chug every last drop of that monstrosity down.
Tamaki groggily dropped the sizable plastic cup onto the floor and stepped back with a sickly groan. His belly subtly jiggled with each step he took~the concoction sloshing inside of him noisily. Tamaki's mouth was stained with that disgusting purple substance~some of it dripping down his chin messily. Both of his hands slowly ran up and down his painfully heavy tummy to try and settle it down while it gurgled so loudly and painfully that even Fatgum cringed at the sound.
"...Uhhh...k-kid...? You okay there...?" Fatgum asked nervously.
Tamaki looked too dazed and out of it to tell if he even heard what Fatgum asked him. But then the gurgling in his tummy grew so aggressive that Fatgum could actually see it ripple slightly against his stretched out spandex. Tamaki's face grew green as he quickly covered his mouth.
Frantically Fatgum rushed to his young sidekick's aide quickly rubbing his back tenderly to try and settle his body down. "Ah crap. Yer okay yer okay," he repeated with a cringe to his own rounded face expecting the worst.
A thick gurgle rose up Tamaki's throat and puffed out his cheeks. Fatgum looked away not wanting to see what was to come after Tamaki's hand got blown back from his mouth. To his relief and surprise though Tamaki didn't throw up violently.
Nope. Instead Tamaki let out a gigantic burp~louder and harder than anything Fatgum had ever heard from the boy in their many eating sessions. All that air Tamaki took in from drinking in one go without stopping had built up a painful pressure pocket desperately in need of expulsion. So much had been built up that the monstrous eructation shy anxious Tamaki was uncontrollably releasing lasted an unheard of ten seconds!
"Holy crap kid! That had t'be a record!" Fatgum praised in awe.
Tamaki just groaned after and wiped his mouth clean. "...Unnnf...that tasted terrible..." he mumbled groggily. Then Tamaki gave a deep hiccup that made his belly bounce and slosh which in turn only made him burp again and cover his mouth with a groggy blush.
"C'mon. Let's sit fer a bit while that...uh...'shake' settles yeah?" Fatgum insisted.
Tamaki nodded with a soft pained huff and gently patted his tummy.
Fatgum let Tamaki lean against his huge blubbery body for support while cradling his full bloated tummy with one hand while the two made their way to the seats. They were careful not to move too fast and upset Tamaki's tummy any more than it already was. But due to how heavy the concoction was even the subtlest of motions made everything simmering inside of Tamaki slosh around noisily and churn aggressively.
Partway in Tamaki stopped walking and held a fist up to his mouth to give an incredibly thick and meaty closed mouth burp that he seemed barely able to hold in. Then an even longer one rolled out of him and stretched for almost four seconds straight. Tamaki huffed in a sickly way and hunched over to clutch his mildly curvy thighs~his pooching tummy sagged down when he did. He could feel another big one brewing in his belly. His throat hitched with a deep breath and eventually Tamaki let out another huge burp that Fatgum could see rippled Tamaki's sagging tummy when it expelled out of him so intensely.
"...Heh. Gonna give Red Riot some real competition after this fight is over ain'tcha!" Fatgum said with an almost convincing smile while he gently patted Tamaki's back with his meaty palm.
Tamaki couldn't hold back a little moan of pained relief but only the subtlest bit. He tried to stifle a sharp hiccup that left him groaning and stood back up cradling his tummy. He continued to lean against Fatgum occasionally hiccuping into the round pro-heroes blubber until the two reached a couch to sit on. Tamaki was pulled towards Fatgum just due to the whole couch sinking until the giant heroes massive blubbery frame.
Fatgum very gently put his hand on Tamaki's belly. With how large Fatgum was his hand covered the entirety of that soft curved out bloat. He only needed to move his meaty palm just slightly around to rub into Tamaki's troubled tummy.
Tamaki sighed heavily while Fatgum managed a small more genuine smirk. "Heh. Betcha wish this was Lemillion showin' yer gut some love huh."
The elf eared boy blushed heavily at that comment but given the circumstances all he could do was nod and groan. He couldn't help but long for his boyfriends hands on his tummy rubbing it up and down and kneading into all the right spots that only Mirio knew how to rub. Or the way his finger would tease across Tamaki's oh so sensitive belly button. Mirio always knew how to just make Tamaki's tummy feel better under any circumstances. And with the risks they were all about to face he longed for the comfort of his boyfriend now more than ever.
Tamaki's thoughts were interrupted when his stomach gurgled a thick strained sounding gurgle. It was like his insides were choking on the monstrosity now digesting inside of the boys innards. Slowly Tamaki could feel the properties of those various meats and whatever else Fatgum just fed him beginning to be absorbed. He was going to need a full rundown of what it was he just drank~but only after he digested.
Hearing now when his tummy was so heavy and sickly was only a guarantee that he'd immediately puke it all back up.
"Yer gonna be fine kid," Fatgum insisted sincerely. "I got no clue how tomorrow's gonna play out. But I ain't worried 'bout you one bit. You've always been strongest of the strong...and uh...given the extra firepower yer gonna be packin'...I almost feel sorry for those poor evil bastards yer gonna plow through..."
Tamaki huffed when an especially thick and unpleasant churning sound bellowed from his belly. Fatgum could actually feel Tamaki's tummy jostle beneath his palm from the force of it. He once again brought a fist to his mouth and let rip a really loud closed mouth burp that ballooned his cheeks out~it was impressive that he could even hold that one in like that given how hard it rushed up.
The boy blew the gas off to the side with a blush and looked on. Despite the pain in his belly there was something else eating at him. "...I don't want anyone else to die," he muttered quietly. "...I wanna graduate so I can spend more time with Mirio. I wanna see Red Riot graduate too so all of us can go out to a buffet together and celebrate..."
Tamaki huffed and slumped forward again while his stomach gurgled deeply.
"Uh...maybe don't mention food right now kid," Fatgum said with a half-hearted chuckle.
Tamaki nodded in acknowledgement. But then he turned his head away from Fatgum and seemed to wipe his eyes.
Fatgum's expression softened. He took his hand off of Tamaki's tummy and wrapped his hand around Tamaki's sides pulling him close to Fatgum's huge blubbery body like a big brother giving his baby brother a one armed hug.
"We're gonna win this thing kid. I promise ya that. And when we do? All of us. We're goin' to any sushi boat'uh yer choosin'. All you can eat. Sound good?" Fatgum asked and lightly thumped Tamaki on the back.
Or at least he thought it was light.
Because that thump was enough to dislodge a sizable pocket of gas which rushed up Tamaki's throat~causing the boy to let out a massive echoing burp that rattled out of him so hard Fatgum could even feel the springs of the couch vibrate.
It left him panting and blushing but also blinking with surprise at the unexpected action.
Fatgum was left blinking much the same way.
Then the two shared a confused chuckle that eventually just turned into both mentor and student laughing aloud.
"I'll take that as a 'yes' then!" Fatgum joked.
Tamaki giggled and wiped his eyes again but this time from laughter.
The two of them sighed while Fatgum continued to gently rub Tamaki's back. Tamaki's tummy seemed a little deflated and the gurgling while still noisy wasn't as aggressive or painful as it had been earlier.
Still. One thought crept into his mind.
"...So seriously sensei...what was in that shake..."

I missed yesterday! I honestly slept most of it, but my fever is down now! So picture the Pomfoire cooking with you!
Vil obviously is only interested in healthy meals, so he's honestly interested in learning how to make sushi! He already makes his own smoothies and meal preps alot. But sushi is so delicate that he is making a day out of learning! He starts out stressed, everything has to be perfect! He eventually calms down and starts having fun, most likely when one of you tries wasabi and it's too spicy!
Rook wants to teach you how to make crepes, he is preparing whipped cream, strawberries, bananas, chocolate, ect! Because crepes should be sweet, no savory crepes! He totally puts some whipped cream on your nose. He is so romantic!
Epel is obviously making apple crumble, and cidars! He obviously has to keep it a secret from Vil since crumble is too unhealthy. Vil honestly knows about it, but is letting it slip since Epel has been doing so well in his studies. It's a mess, there is crumbs and apple juice everywhere! but it is so fun! you both have to take a shower after and take several hours to clean the kitchen! Grim happily eats whatever is left.

Thess vs Dining Conventions
Today was my version of a “spoon recharge day”. I had been planning to go to the big Sainsbury’s to get some prawns (the last item I need for proper gluten-free wonton soup) but I was tired and achy so I just thought, fuck it, staying home.
But of course, me being me, I still Did Stuff.
Made more instant hot chocolate mix because I had run out
Made chicken broccoli pasta bake (used onion instead of chestnut mushrooms; came out really nice)
Portioned out the leftovers
Prepped for making lamb dopiaza and aloo gobi tomorrow
Did I mention how nice it is to just ... have food that just needs defrosting or reheating just ... there? Not to mention the things that are going to be meals that’ll probably last me most of the rest of the month? I mean, I still wince at the grocery bill, but if I wasn’t teaching myself the Way of Batch Cooking, I’d be in a lot worse shape. I mean, here’s what’s available for the month:
Leftover chicken broccoli pasta bake
Leftover chicken adobo
Leftover split-pea soup (that recipe made a LOT of soup)
Lamb dopiaza and aloo gobi with basmati rice
Lasagne
Chilli (or possibly spaghetti bolognaise; something with the rest of the mince anyway)
Possibly tuna casserole (topped with crisps, not breadcrumbs)
Tuna lemon broccoli pasta
Roast chicken leg (I had one left after baked chicken with potatoes and carrots)
Chicken risotto
Most of what’s needed for wonton soup (prawns tomorrow)
Smoothies (strawberry or kiwi fruit; maybe mango if I splurge shopping tomorrow)
Most of this is batch cooking, so anywhere from 3-6 servings depending on serving size. I have at least two portions each of the leftovers. Only one chicken leg quarter, but that and the smoothies are basically the only thing I’m preparing as a single ‘meal’, insofar as smoothies are considered a meal. And I kind of have to, because ... look, my appetite’s been weird lately. Like, I won’t be hungry for a lot of the day and then I’ll have dinner around about meds-time and then I will be ravenous as fuck fairly late. I’m pretty sure this is a response to getting up, getting coffee and getting nearly straight to work most days, maybe snacking a little if there’s a minute. With the increase in my hours (yes, I did ask for it, more money is good), that probably won’t cut it, so I’ll see if getting a smoothie as well as getting my coffee helps normal things out. Either way, it just means that if I am horribly hungry before bed, at least I can put something moderately substantial in the microwave instead of standing up at the kitchen counter, munching buttered corn thins and refrigerator dill pickles.
I know it’s all fairly unorthodox. But honestly, not caring that much. I’m finding ways to eat well despite everything, so I’m not going to let convention stop me from doing so. And since I’m getting a sort of value-pack of “eating well”, “finding things I can do despite neuropathic pain condition”, and “pride in a job well done”, I think I’m doing way better.
...Still want to invite people over for dinner, though.
