MAG 148 Relisten

Activity on my first listen: mowing the lawn.

ELIAS: (mumbling) "Here we go" (normal) Good evening, Detective." [BASIRA IMMEDIATELY ASSAULTS HIM.] ELIAS: "Ow!" That whispered "Here we go"...(btw in neither the fan transcript nor the official one) Was it just "ah yes, Basira is back" or was it "ok, Basira is fuming and I know what she wants to do, let's get this over with...". He says it later, Basira is becoming predictable. Also very satisfying sound, 10/10, only MAG 200 is even better.

ELIAS: "– I’ve – I’ve always thought that a man’s eating habits were his own private business –" [BASIRA STEPS CLOSER] BASIRA: "Mm-hm." ELIAS: (strained like he is being choked) "– but… I can see how maybe I should have mentioned it." [ELIAS CATCHES HIS BREATH] Holy shit, I either can't remember Basira choking him or I never caught it before. Fan transcript doesn’t mention any sounds in this (I added them here), official transcript only describes Elias answer as "conciliatory".

ELIAS: "Look, look – I’ve been doing this a long time now, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned about the Web, it’s that it plays its own game. All you can really do is hope it doesn’t get in the way of whatever your plan is. Because the Spider usually wins." We know that Elias finally saw his chance when Jon came to him already marked by the Web. And yeah, the Spider does win.

BASIRA: "You always call me “Detective.” Is that supposed to mean something?" ELIAS: "Honestly, I just like the way it sounds." In 159 episodes this is probably the only time he's clear about something and honest xD

JON: "I can’t believe you’ve been seeing him all this time." BASIRA: "Oh, yeah. That’s the terrible secret sabotaging the trust between us." Yeah, compared to others things, this does seem quite as big of a deal. Still, I think it's something that would have been worth mentioning. Since of a lot of relevant things happened because of this, that seemed like a dead end to them. That's suspicion. I saw an old post from 2019 some time ago, where someone said something like "The way the Dark ritual lead nowhere Jon's gonna kick off the Watcher's Crown by accident". Oops...

BASIRA: "Yeah. John, We’ve been over this. the key is to not force people to feed you their trauma. You know – just don’t do it?" Oh yeah, Nicotine is bad for you health? Just stop smoking. Easy. You're depressed? Just be more positive. Wow! /sarcasm

JON: "It’s not that simple." BASIRA: "No. It is. Or I put you down." Holy... Threatening to kill him... Wow. After she has watched Daisy for years and said nothing. She’s kind of extra aggressive on this day, first Elias, now this... Frustration?

BASIRA: "Daisy’s been managing." JON: "Daisy is… yeah. She’s managing." Daisy is fucking starving. Even if she hasn’t crossed into full Avatarhood (I think that happens after MAG 158...), Jon also was already dependent on statements in S3...

JON: "I have been meaning to ask: the tape, the one of the uh… my victim. You said Martin gave it to you." BASIRA: "Yeah." JON: "How was he? How did he look – was he – uh –" BASIRA: [interrupting; sounding slightly less harsh] "I don’t know. I didn’t see him. He just left it on my desk with a note." JON: "Oh. Right." BASIRA: "Yeah." JON: "Can I ask what it said?" BASIRA: "Um, yeah. It said, uh. “Talk to him”" JON: [harsh breathing/sobbing sounds] T_________T It’s been a while since we had a heartwrecking scene like this...

I'll be honest, I have no memory of this statement...

There is so much more rambling about their general situation and less things actually happening, I'm already losing track again...

"So he found the manual. More of a pamphlet, really. Can’t have been more than ten pages of A5 in the whole thing, yellowed and water-damaged. Well-used, though. Someone had even put their name in the front, like they were afraid people were gonna steal a manky instruction book." Oh hold on, is that a Leitner?

Sounds like this Sampson really got into I'm On Observation Duty XD

"He kept saying, 'what do we do with his eyes?'" So the cameras?

"'He won’t stop,' he said. 'We can’t get rid of his face.'" On the CRT screen, Sampson wouldn't stop looking at them I guess.

Aw man, that post statement scene. It seems like it did something at least cause he says he's (feeling) better. But it’s not as nutritious as a new statement. And he’s needing more and more of the old statements. That’s also a effect of (some?) addicting substances. Getting accustomed to smaller doses and needing more to get the same effect as before. This is the only thing, which makes it seem like an addiction and not a need to survive. Though there are some indications that Avatars do need to cause fear to survive. “Feed your god, or it will feed on you” (MAG 89), “Hopefully, he’ll fade away or burn out as they tend to when robbed of their purpose” (MAG 130), “John Amherst was encased in concrete, and shrivelled away to nothing after just a few years” (MAG 184). Accepting less and less of old statements is probably just an effect of the Eye to bring him to get new experiences. And since there are some indications that also written statements given to the Archivist can cause those dreams (Dekker MAG 113, Salesa MAG 115) it will become more and more difficult to survive without harming others.

While we were growing up, my younger siblings didn't know that I would have taken a bullet for them. My older brother got it, but that's because we trauma bonded (?).

My little siblings didn't, though. I thought and acted in large gestures, and if it wasn't a large gesture, I just went and did my own thing. They didn't know that I would do my best for them if only I had a script to follow.

One time, my sister got sick. We didn't know why or what was going on, but I had a script to follow. Bring soup, check temperature, let her sleep. That was the gesture, and I did it. I did want her to get better. Then, we figured out it was strep throat. The soup wasn't necessary, she wasn't gonna get a deadly fever, and I was pretty quiet anyways, so I didn't know about the sleep thing. Besides, mom had it covered. Once mom knew what it was, mom could take care of it because she knew the script.

It was later that someone--either my sister or my mom--told me that that was surprising for my sister. That I would do those things, and when I suddenly stopped, she felt sad.

Another time, my youngest sibling got on a roller coaster with us (being me and some aunts and lots of cousins). I remember being scared for my first roller coaster long before that point, and I like to be in control of things. So, when my sibling began to scream and sob hysterically, the script I followed was to screen ahead of the roller coaster at all times and tell them what was happening "Okay, so we're going up and up and up, and the drop is coming soon. Do you want to hold my hand? Shh, it's okay. Here comes the drop, now we're going! And we're done. See? Okay, now we're gonna go straight" etc etc. They Did Not Like the roller coaster, and when they got off, they were distraught. I felt like I failed to help.

It wasn't until this last holiday season where one of my siblings found the photograph my mom had taken and saw me curled over them as best as I could be that they said "wow. You were amazing." It was several years after the fact. (And, also, I kinda freaked at that because it didn't feel amazing at the time. XD It just felt like it was the thing to do. I did eventually thank them for their kind comment, though.)

I loved my younger siblings. It was an innate part of my being. I didn't always show it well, though. And here's the kicker: it's not their job to perceive that. It's not their job to perceive that I love and care for them if I'm not doing it in a way that they can perceive.

They thought I hated them because of my other actions. When I would flee at the first instance of secondhand embarrassment in the things they wanted to show me. When I would get territorial over my time. When I would hog the computer or ignore them in favor of doing my homework or invest in my growing hobbies. When I would get frustrated that they would do stuff that didn't stick with the script I'd grown up with. When I got mad at them. When I was living my own life and focusing on what I perceived my job to be, they felt ignored and unloved. As much as I didn't mean to and as much as I wish it weren't so, I did that to them.

Nowadays, my siblings know I love them. Perhaps embarrassingly so at times. Not because they had an 'AHA' moment. Well, not just them. I did, too. I didn't realize that they saw me as cold, unemotional, and detached. I didn't know that they didn't realize that I had issues and was doing my damnedest to keep those issues from them because they are younger than me. I didn't get it, and they didn't get it. It was only after a drawn out--nearly fighting--conversation where we all realized where we'd been missing each other.

Now, and for the past several years, I've been trying to love them in the way they need to be loved. Step back, no control, open ears, open arms, present in ways that I can be, and not hiding the fact that I'm human and make mistakes. I still do my grand, silent gestures when I see that they're needed, but I also focus on what they need to see and feel instead of just on what I want to do. Life's gotten a lot less frustrating, and we get mad at each other less now rather than compared to before.

The amount of love I have for them hasn't changed. The way I show it has, and it's made all the difference.

I'm so far behind on things I just saw your post (because I follow you and saw lore babies on my dash and then read them and was like. wow I already love them lemme just reblog and support these kids). aw! If you do I'll be excited to see any babies that come from it! I said it in my tags but I'll write it again! I see your lore babies post (and even before I had taken a break from fr and stuff just your lore was always amazing and I love it on my dash) and honestly, I have to FIGHT to not want to buy all of them instantly. I am absolutely weak to lore babies. I love it and just you're so creative and I'm sitting over here going: wow look at me needing all of them and then having to go look at my hoard and bank being like, gotta count the monies to throw at you thanks.

So many people have such good lore stories/ideas for their dragons on site and I'm just like. I don't need any money as I sob into my empty bank when I find out people are selling lore bbs. There is no saving money but I'm trying my best. But yeah!!! I have two from you specifically from that pair are: Caron and Margeaux. I'm pretty sure I drew Margeaux a couple years ago before I sort of took a break from everything? I love them and I have the problem of NOT writing down lore stuff I have for all of the babies I own because boo anxiety. A lot of the time I just go and re-read the lore you wrote for them (and other people who I've bought lore dragons from) and just go. yes. perfect. the best children.

『KEIKO fan meeting chocolate meating #2』Live Commentary

Keiko’s exclusive fan club event is about to start. I got tickets for both performances of course so I will be live commenting on some of the stuff that’s happening. As always, I will also try to provide a report/summary. Very excited to see Keiko with her guitar again, she has been practicing like crazy so I am expecting something pretty neat for today. We might also get a new song reveal so YAY for that. Still hoping Keiko and Kaori will cover “cynical world” at some point during the event. It’s unlikely but a girl can dream XD

Keiko is wearing a gorgeous black dress with floral embroidery, will try to find it somehow. She immediately starts with the live section and later mentions that this event will be more focused on singing rather than talking (compared to her previous fan club event which was live stream only). For the evening section, we got an outfit change. A beautiful shimmery blouse and a long black skirt.

1. Alcohol: You know how I feel about this song. Not my fave but okay 2. [DAY]Toori Ame/通り雨: For the second song, eji joins Keiko on stage. 通り雨 sounds quite different today, maybe a slight change of key! I love it! Very emotive performance. [NIGHT] Genjitsu no Metaphor/現実のメタファー: Ohhhh, love this acoustic version 3. Hitori Janai Kara/ひとりじゃないから: I like the live version a lot more than the studio version but once again, it’s not my fave Talk with eji (Q&A): They talk about how eji really loves Disney music. 4. End-roll/エンドロール: OMG, I am officially deceased. This might have been the hottest thing ever!! Keiko on her guitar singing with that super sexy voice. Such a rockstar!! Ughhhhh!! Talk: Kaori joins Keiko on stage. 5. Akamusubi/紅結び: I am not at all familiar with Kaori’s songs but this was ABSOLUTELY beautiful. 6. Cleome: Meh, wasn’t a fan during the YouTube broadcast and didn’t particularly like this either. Just not my cup of tea. 7. Nanairo no Finale/七色のフィナーレ: Love her version with Kaori. Their harmonies are great and Kaori sings some of the higher parts that are sometimes a little tricky for Keiko. Aww, she got really emotional during the evening performance. It’s kinda funny how she tries to distract from it by drinking water and going straight to the Q&A. Talk with Kaori (Q&A): Apparently Kaori’s fan club would have a name related to alcohol because that’s what she is obsessed with. During the evening, someone wants them to hold hands while singing so Keiko gets all grabby XD And they remember their time together in New York when they were doing FictionJunction work. 8. [DAY] New Genesis=Shinjidai/新時代: Apparently one of their favourite karaoke songs. Don’t know it but it’s pretty cool. Nothing to write home about though. [NIGHT] synchronicity: OMG!!! It’s not “cynical world” but I voted for this as well!! So excited!!! *sobs* What can I say? The acoustic version of this is just WOW! I have no words! Talk 9. Burn in the Wind: Might be my favourite live version so far. Absolutely flawless. Encore 10. [DAY] 夜の噓と: YESSSS! Was hoping she would perform this. It was everything I expected. Simply beautiful, especially the end!! LOL tho at that random announcement during the song (someone apparently made a mistake and accidentally played one of their recorded announcements for the show) [NIGHT] Inochi no Hana/命の花: It’s been a while. Lovely as always.

Keiko started doing a little raffle at the venue but for us streaming viewers it seems like they prepared a prerecorded “After Talk” session in which Keiko answers some more questions. There was no raffle for us but I guess that makes sense since it’s still possible to buy streaming tickets for a couple of days.　Last but not least, here’s my haul (courtesy of my friend). So happy! I even got a message. BANZAI!!!

Warriors opened his mouth to respond but no sound came out, jaw trembling a little as he looked ever more teary by each passing second. Eventually he just pulled his scarf up over his flushed face, a steady sniffling sounding from underneath as his reddening eyes barely peeked out over the edge. He finally let go of the sword and signed a simple ‘yes’, then a ‘no’, and finally pulled the scarf over his eyes with a ‘shut up’ at Sky, who could only let out a startled laugh before reaching to pull the poor Captain close into a tight embrace, a soft smile on his own face.

Wow, uh okay so there's a thing going on with Pewds...

He got an urine infection, and that's just an annoying thing for humans to have but its apparently deadly for cats if not treated fast. Like I'm talking 3-6 days of having it untreated can be fatal😖

I texted the vet on saturday night and told them what was going on and if it was normal or what I should do, they answered at 6am on saturday (cuz who sleeps anyways? Clearly not me)

They told me to call the emergency vet and tell them, I did and he called the only open vet in the area, AND then we had an appointment asap.

I called mom and she basically ran out the door (and told me she didnt even take time to put on a bra xD)

She came and picked me and Pewds up, let me just say that shes like almost 15mins away, but she got here f a s t

We arrive and I tell the vet that hes been struggling to pee for almost 2 days, hes hissing and growling (not to me or the other cats), hes drinking water and have been kinda meh on the food.

I changed the food cuz they all started to throw up by the food theyve had for 10years...

And I told him I havent been the best at changing the litterboxes, or emptying them...

And the cats are fucking champs, they will only go in the box, even if. But it's not a "wow my cats adapted to my depression, awesome" its fucking serious, if fucked up BAD.

Because, the food I started giving them gave Pewds more crystals, cuz cat food have that for some reason, and if you dont change out sand and poop scoop often, that can ALSO give them urine infection.

AND its "common" for elderly and sterile male cats to get the infection, so that's a thing to remember.

Is it my fault? Dont know, could I've prevented it? Possibly.

Am I gonna be fucking better? Absolutely!

Back to the status of Pewds

After he stopped being all drugged up, he just looked genuinely pissed, which I get.

Drinking water, trying to pee, sleeping A LOT and only when I pick him up and put him on my lap, he starts to seem like Pewds again🥺

Headbuts, washing my face (trying not to remember hes constantly washing himself), purring and holding onto me in his sleep.

I've been inside the bathroom with him for hours, towel, a pillow and a blanket, and I've been up against a wall and Pewds on my lap or close to me as I've slept (and my neck and ass hurts like hell) hes peed on me, and I've let him cuz poor boi.

His wet food, given by the vet, that smells worse than any other I've smelled:

Come sunday night, 3am.

I've googled and learned all I wrote on top, and I'm sobbing, having a full on panic attack, just holding him and breaks and try not to cry on him.

I call the emergency vet dude again, tell him it's me from Saturday morning, update him and let him know about Pewds current behaviour and if it's ok, is it normal?

I tried not to cry on the phone, but I basically thought he was declining cuz of me.

But!

Everything is as it should be, all hes doing is normal, sleeping more is fine, didnt eat ALL the wet food? As long as hes eating, hes fine.

Randoming peeing with a tiny but of red colouring? Normal and fine.

So I calmed down, and sat with Pewds until I went back out to sleep. Woke up 3 hours later, put him in the cage and sat it in the hallway and I cleaned the bathroom, since it stank of piss, now hes just sleeping and relaxing, he seems fine, and nothing is screaming danger.

Google have helped, I talked to a dude I have on xbox cuz hes had a cat that *died* cuz they didnt catch it in time. So I'm lucky, Pewds is lucky.

Now we're just waiting for tomorrow, Tuesday, to see what the vet says.

You wow me every time with each one. They are my favorites to go back and reread.

Poor Lucifer, being so stressed trying to find everyone

Proud of Mammon for keeping control of his greed and being able to help find his brothers!

With it being only the staff that they have seen so far, kinda scared to see what happens with it. Almost get the feeling like this kingdom will be against them if/when they go to war with the Celestial Realm. The king gives me weird vibes. *shivers*

Love Raphael's thought process of debating and leaning to be on the demon's side instead of the angels. Did the fact of family and his relationship come into play with that as well?

Also Raphael fidgeting with his top when his canon top is really short already, I find it funny.

Luke's "unholy conception" was brought up again, will we ever be getting kinda backstory on that like we did with Levi and Raphael back in the Celestial Realm?

Was Luke's outfit different because he is a child, or claimed to be Barbatos's son? Or both?

Luke to make it though the Celestial Realm this long without major trauma is so lucky. Assuming it is purely because of how protective Simeon is over him? Wanting to keep it from him. Really hope Luke knows how much Simeon loves him.

Is there actual reasoning behind Segreto's style of dress or just what they find looks best? I mean, with sea demons, I kinda understand wanting less clothing to slow you down in the water.

What would Solomon's outfit be like? Would it be like what the demons and angels have or something different because he is human?

Raphael is the last one Lucifer hadn't placed. Would he have been with Levi still or had he run off somewhere else?

Sorry that this is a lot (probably would be more if I wasn't trying to hide my phone from a teacher lol).

The acronym I have been using is OFIFotO, do feel free to use that.

Luci is just Tired tm and deserves a break, poor dude. Mammon is the goodest of good boys and I love him.

The King could just be busy doing his own preparations, but I suppose we won't truly know until what he was doing gets revealed later on.

Raphael is just a confused guy, and honestly he needs a break from the constant stress. He feels like he could make things better if he fights on the demon's side, considering the angel side is the one clambering for an unreasonable war. So to answer your question: yes.

He can't decide if he wants it shorter or longer, and I adore his fashion taste XD.

There will be a backstory for Simeon and Michael, don't worry. It won't be very pretty though...

Luke gets a different outfit because he is a child, and because he is "royalty". He's basically in a tunic with metallic thread, showcasing his status. So both!

Luke is one lucky bean, I'll give him that. Simeon really went all out with protecting him from the horrors of the realm they live in. Luke does know, but he does get frustrated with the constant protection.

The clothes that our boys are currently wearing get broken out for feast days, or celebrations. It's coated in jewels and heavy finery, making it difficult to swim in. Normally, lighter material is used, tight to the body, for ease of mobility in the water. The fancy gets brought out for parties, essentially.

Solomon has a similar outfit, but done with different embroidery patterns. Since he is the Grand Sorcerer, he gets some nice threads.

Raph is currently listening is slight horror as Levi happily explains sea monsters tearing human sea vessels apart for fun. He's fascinated and a bit scared.

Read on DC Universe Infinite | NOTE: These commentaries are going to be very spoiler heavy

Figured I should start at the very beginning. Well, the beginning if you don’t count the appearance of Super-Girl in Superman a year earlier, but that was just a fake that was created by a wish by Jimmy Olsen, so I’m totally not counting that.

Anyway.

Something I didn’t realize until I started reading some of these older comics is just how common it was for there to be multiple stories in one book back then. Despite “The Supergirl of Krypton!” being on the cover, it was the last of three stories in this 28 page comic.

This book was also notable for the debut of Metallo, who would become a recurring villain over the years.

But we’re not talking about that story! “The Supergirl of Krypton!” begins with a (customary for the time) splash panel that is very similar to the cover.

Wow that’s wordy. Comics back then relied heavily on this kind of narration, it’s how they were able to tell a lot of story in a few pages. Feels campy now, but in a fun way.

Also, “Great guns!”? Really Supes?! XD

The next panel after this one backs up a few minutes. We see Clark Kent hearing a rocket hurdling towards Earth. He changes into Superman and races to the scene, although he’s too late. He notes that it reminds him of the rocket he landed in when he was a superbaby (yes, he actually says superbaby, it’s in bold no less!) He tears open the wreckage and out pops a blonde teenage girl.

Superman is very confused by this, which is honestly understandable. She assures him that she’s alive and okay and tells him that she’s also from Krypton. This greatly confuses him, and leads to this image which I honestly love:

Superman wants to know how this is possible, and why she’s wearing something that looks like his own outfit. This prompts Supergirl to explain her backstory, which is HILARIOUS

To cliffnotes this: A giant chuck of Krypton broke off intact when the planet exploded, taking along with it an air bubble of the planet’s atmosphere, allowing the surivors to breath. BUT, they soon find that the explosion had turned the rock of the colony into kryptonite, which will kill them all. UNLESS they pave the entire colony in lead! And it works. That is, until a meteor shower bombards the colony, smashing holes into the lead covering, exposing the kryptonite. Well the colony’s screwed, so Zor-El decides to build a rocket so that his daughter might be able to escape. Kara and her mother use the super-space telescope (that’s what it’s called!) to find a planet suitable. They find Earth, listen in with their space radio (damn I love comics) and find that there is a fellow Kryptonian on the planet. They stuff Kara into the rocket, and as the rocket is flying away Kara thinks “My father... Mother... All the people are dying! I’m an orphan of space now... ‘sob!’”

OH. MY. GOD.

Superman recounts his backstory, name dropping his father, Jor-El, which Kara recognizes and they realize they’re actually cousins.

Kara is estatic that she has found a family member and thinks that they’ll live together here on Earth.

Something she gets to be happy about for all of one panel.

Before killjoy Clark shoots down the idea, just because she may ruin his cover. For real though, why couldn’t Clark Kent just adopt a kid? Or literally just tell everyone that one of Clark’s relatives from out of state is coming to stay with him? There’s a lot of ways they could have gotten around this except I’m taking into account that golden-age/early silver-age Superman is kind of a smug jerk. (also there were probably a lot of political and social ramifications for depicting a family with a single partent t that time, but that’s a lot less fun to talk about.)

So they test out her flying abilities, which she has, and Kara’s ready to be a superhero right away, which Superman also forbids.

He takes Supergirl to an orphanage in Midvale, where he disguises her in a brown pigtail wig. She’s not that upset by all of this, most liketly because this is the 50s and goodness forbid a teenage girl ever question or push back against her male authority figure.

Kara gives herself the civilain name Linda Lee because Super comics are obsessed with female characters having the initials LL, which Superman actually comments on. Superman tells the orphanage that Linda was an orphaned survivor of a major disaster, and there are zero questions from the orphanage. Superman also tells Kara that she can’t reveal herself yet.

The headmistresss takes Kara to her room, which is a total dump.

Side note: Kara x-ray visions what she says is a cracked mirror back together, which is already iffy, but from all the previous panels, that mirror isn’t cracked, it’s missing its entire center.

From here Kara sneaks out at night and does a flyover of Midvale, marveling at its quaintness. She lands near a poster for a documentery about Superboy and his time in Smallville, which prompts Kara to hope that she can do for Midvale what Superboy did for Smallville. Then she returns to the orphanage.

That’s the end of the issue.

I just wanted to note that sure, there’s a lot of questionable dynamics and expectations of gender roles in these comics, and if I felt that getting mad at a 63 year old comic would do any good, I’d make more of a stink about it. But, it won’t do any good and I’m going to just enjoy these comics for what they were, and only point out the most egregious examples. And I’m looking forward to seeing how comics have grown over time.

All in all, “The Supergirl of Krypton!” is 8 pages of infodumping and set-up. Still, I’m sort of amazed of all they go through in 8 pages. It’s fascinating to see just how different the standards and expectations of comics have changed.

These old books were kitschy and campy in the best of ways, and I’m excited to read more!

Wow that’s a difficult question. But here you go:

ANIME:

Katsura (Gintama) an idiot, can be pretty badass, so so funny, can make up a story for anything. Genius young scholar, actually quite smart if he’s serious, sad backstory, always had to be dutiful and do everything by himself, only when he is Zura, with his friends, can he let go. <3 During the war he became a known general, capable of leading his troops and running away when it was best. Elizabeth is his companion. -> Kamui and Okita are also really great! Kamui is a Yato with orange hair and blue eyes, his fighting style is so cool and his backstory is very interesting. We see how as a kid he had to be strong for his I’ll mother and his baby sister, but he didn’t know what strength was, so he trained in combat and went around challenging other dangerous outlaws. When he found out what his father did, he lost control and tried to kill him and later left his sister to travel the universe and fight and become stronger. Okita is a super sadist who enjoys making others suffer, but deep down he’s insecure with his relationships with others and doesn’t know how to express himself beside violence. But he cares very much and at the end he’s very loyal to his people.

Law (One Piece) loved his design, a doctor with the word ‘death’ tattooed on his fingers, rides a yellow submarine with a polar bear, tragic backstory. -> Sanji and Ace are also my faves. Sanji is pretty cool, he’s an amazing cook, a great swimmer, fights with kicks, can walk on air and is an expert in observation haki and pretty good at armament. He was pretty mysterious and surprisingly stealthy. Double tragic backstory, he was a failed emotionless super soldier and third heir of a bellicose country, whose ruling family ruled with an iron fist thanks to their genetic enchantments and scientific development. And he almost starved to death. But he is also a pervert and his storyline has so many ups and downs. Ace is really cool, fire powers, conqueror’s haki when he was a kid, his design is amazing, Red Pearl necklace, dagger, tatto with Whitebeard’s symbol on his back, and his name with a tribute to Sabo on his arm. He uses a small boat propelled by his flames, is Roger’s son, met Shanks and Buggy. Is really important to a lot of people, Luffy loves his big bro, the Whithebeards and all their allies care for him, everyone gathered because of him… but now he’s… *sob sob*

Urahara (Bleach) mysterious, silly but really strong and resourceful, has everything up his sleeve. Ex-captain and ex-jailer, his sword is Red (bloody) Princess, she’s not nice, and his Bankai is not suited for friendly spars. Dresses like a hobo and his hat and fan make him look really shady, has a gigantic training room with rocks and a fake sky in his basement, is raising super soldier children, lives with Tessai who is basically hi husband who cleans and cooks for him, and Yoruichi is his super hot friend who sometimes acts as his cat. -> Ichigo is also really cool, he’s the perfect hybrid of every species known, he was basically created to fight and defeat Aizen. He gets all the power ups only to lose them and get stronger ones, ongoing inner struggles due to nobody actually telling him anything important. Always has to rescue somebody. Zangestu is so cool, both as a spirit and a sword. His Bankai is Heaven Chain Slaying Moon. He befriends people by defeating those who want to kill him, and later they help him. Likes Shakespeare and becomes a translator <3

Kakashi (Naruto) super badass and cool, a genius an combat, smart, ‘look underneath the underneath’, copy ninja of a thousand juts XD, ex-anbu, can use a sword. Tragic backstory, everyone he ever loved died or left him. He can seem kinda lazy and a pervert, always reading porn in public, but he can be professional and ruthless. Also really cares for his students and is ready to eliminate any threat towards them, no matter how strong. He can make tough decisions and prioritise one over the others depending on how in danger they are.

Megumi (Jujutsu Kaisen) literally ‘Blessing’, greatest potential ever, rivals Gojo, Sukuna is interested in him, Toji’s son, treasured cursed technique of the Zenin clan. Can summon 10 shikigami, Mahoraga is so cool. Ambiguous morality, only cares about ‘good’ people, capable and willing to kill. Used to getting left behind by those he cares about, but still loves deeply and is willing to do anything for his friends.

Hibari (Katekyo Hotman Reborn) wandering apathetic cloud, but still cares and comes to save his companions, the strongest guardian. His 10YL self was so cool, could break a ring after every use because he was too strong. Purple flames, loves small animals, tamed a bird his enemy used to be able to sing his school anthem on cue, his box weapon is a cute spiked hedgehog that can multiply. His weapons are a pair of tonfa and spiked handcuffs, he’s only interested in fighting strong opponents, no matter who they are, whenever he wants.

Benimaru (Fire Force) the mightiest fire soldier, compound of first and second generation, young master of Asakusa, captain of the 7th division, independent from the Church. His doppelgänger, created from everyone’s image of ‘the strongest’ fire soldier, was about to destroy the world with one move, but didn’t last a minute against the original. -> Arthur is also incredible. His strength is dependent on his mood, he gets stronger if he feels like a knight. A simpleminded idiot, genius in fighting, manages to become strong enough to fight with Dragon on equal terms on the Moon and one of his attacks cut the Earth in half. Him and Excalibur <3

Lavi (D.Gray Man) mysterious, Bookman successor, can remember everything, had 48 different identities and personalities before Lavi, neutral in the grand scheme of things, but actually cares for his friends and can be pretty playful. Can speak a lot of languages, knows a lot about hidden history and wars. Red hair and green eyes, wears a bandana, has an eyepatch, but his eye is not damaged.

Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho) duality, merciless but also wise and very smart, cares for his friends, is trying to change. Fox thief who uses a rose whip and weird and dangerous plants as weapons.

Fai (Tsubasa Chronicle) tragic backstory, good liar but also good person, takes care of the kids but doesn’t want to get close to others. Strongest magician ever, has a lot of curses cast on him, tatto that restrain his powers, magical blue eyes, was vampire.

Chuuya (Bungou Stray Dogs) cool design, orange hair and blue eyes, hat he got from Rimbaud, was the King of the Sheep, trained under Ozaki, now shorty mafia executive, gravity manipulation. Sad backstory, was experimented on, vessel for Arahabaki, god of calamity. One half of Double Black with Dazai, strongest duo capable of eliminating entire organisations of ability users overnight. Vampire.

Karma (Assassination Classroom) super smart violent psycho kid. Genius naturally good at everything, can also be very hard-working and passionate, can fight really really well.

Izaya (Durarara) literally ‘the one who looks over the crowd’, little shit, gets punched at lest once a season, smart, can speak multiple languages, information broker, hacker, expert manipulator, instigator. Loves humans and wants to see them act out and reveal their true nature by fighting against each other. Intrigued but doesn’t care about the supernatural and ‘monsters’. Parkour, fights with switchblades, fur coat.

Makishima (Psycho Pass) good fighter, criminally asymptomatic, can control his psycho pass at will, wants to destroy and change the system. Loves reading books and dystopian literature, always quoting authors, paper books > ebooks. White hair.

Hiruma (Eyeshield 21) quarterback, average physical abilities, limited skills and techniques but smart, very intelligent. Can always come up with a winning plan if those around him are good. Good at poker and betting, very persuasive, great manipulator, has a black-mail book with pages on everyone he meets. Crazy, always carrying a weapon around, deep down he cares about his friends and team and wants to win together. Blonde, looks like a devil with pointed teeth. Has a dog named Cerberus, who he bribes with snacks to train, scare and find other people.

Kise (Kuroko no Basket) blonde model, very friendly, but also really competitive and passionate, quite petty, incredibly observant and strangelyperceptive. The copycat, can do anything after seeing it done once, learns really fast, good at every sport, wants to play with someone he can’t imitate and he won’t ever hope to surpass. Mentally very strong under pressure, tends to overwork and go too hard on his body. Adds -cchi to those he respect.

Tsukishima (Haikyuu) tall, blonde, smart, patient, methodical, relatively unmotivated. Was a cute baby but became an angsty teenager because his brother lied to him, but still cares for volleyball very deep down. Master at roasting others and loves to tease his teammates. Can be quite passionate and driven when provoked and he puts his mind to it, becomes a great blocker thanks to some seniors from rival schools. -> Oikawa is also amazing, he’s not a genius, he works hard, sometimes too much, to polish his skills and try to reach his goal. He can be pretty jealous, petty and mean, but also really compassionate, a good leader and great at giving advice. A setter who can bring out the maximum potential from every player, no matter who.

Fubuki (Inazuma 11) tragic backstory, his parent and brother died in an accident caused by an avalanche, he didn’t want to be alone so now he has a split personality. Atsuya is an attacker and more aggressive, Fubuki is a defender and more calm and peaceful. The more he switches the more confused he is and the more he struggles. He doesn’t want to be alone and forget his brother, but he wants to just be himself, without being overtaken. In the end he manages to overcome this thanks to his teammates. His killing moves are almost all ice or wolf based.

OTHER MEDIA:

Urek Mazino (Tower of God) 4th strongest, irregular, stronger than the 10 family heads, can wipe them if he ever feels like, uses techniques that could destroy an entire floor if he’s not careful and doesn’t control his power precisely. Doesn’t care about politics and power games, could slay Jahad but doesn’t care enough, interested in the outside world and a way out of the Tower. Vice-captain of Wolhaiksong, made his best friend Baek Ryun, 9th High Ranker, the captain after compressing and carrying his beloved forest for him to the 77th floor. He was so strong that his data self in the Hell Train was saved incorrectly, so he went on a rampage and his sworn enemy version of himself still exists in the bug room. Despite being his enemy it agrees with Urek that there shouldn’t be any imperfect versions of them and is plotting to be destroyed. Great design, red eyes, snapback and hoodie, tatto on his back of his name and winged tree that represent his organisation.

Jiang Chen (Mo Dao Zu Shi) purple lotus aesthetic. Sandu, sword, literally ‘3 poisons’, ignorance, attachment, hate. Zidian, ring/lighting whip. Tragic backstory, father loved his brother more, was forced to send his beloved dogs away because of him, mother loved him but had high expectations and was abusive towards his brother, they died for him. Sworn brother is a genius, liked by everyone, always gets himself and him into trouble, sacrificed himself by giving his golden core to him, ‘killed’ their sister and died leaving him alone. He is aggressive, angry and vengeful, but cares for his nephew, angsty tsundere.

You Huo (Global Examination) indifferent and apathetic, very smart and intelligent, trained in combat. Was Invigilator A, the System faithful lapdog, but was secretly working to destroy it with Z and 001, but was caught and expelled and his memories erased. Re-enters the System as an examinee, manages to chaotically pass every test and wreck everything in his way. Manages to reunite with 001 ad fall in love again, even if they’re on opposing sides and both their memories are damaged <3

Akira/Ren (Persona 5) Arsene, Lupin the gentleman thief and anti-hero -> Satanael. Leader of the Phantom Thieves, falsely sentenced, can seem indifferent but is quite passionate. Works everywhere, while range of contacts and friends.

Tsurumaru (Touken Ranbu) beautiful sword, everyone wanted him. His first owner was a kid that was killed by a rival clan, he was put together with his master in his grave, but was later dug up by the one who killed his master. He was then passed around by owners, among those Oda Nobunaga’s trusted retainer, until he was finally placed in a shrine. However a sword polisher got enchanted by his beauty and took him from the shrine and gave him to the Date Clan and later to the Meiji Emperor, he remains in the Imperial Collection to this day. Tsurumaru's symbol is a crane, traditional sign of fortune and longevity, but he brought the opposite to his owners. -> game: cool design, all white clothing, white hair and golden eyes. Hates boredom and always seeks surprises to endure his endless longevity, being the best preserved blade from the Heian period despite his turbulent history. Was forged by Gojou, disciple of Sanjou Munechika, which makes him a distant relation to the Sanjou swords. Dategumi with Ookurikara, Shokudaikiri and Sadamune -> anime: was part of the 1st Division and partnered with Mikazuki, now with the 2nd.

Leona (Twisted Wonderland) very lazy, always slacking, but still one of the strongest and smartest mages. Loves chess and always ready to throw hands, respects ladies, very sassy. Depressed and angry about how he’ll always be second and how some things are decided even before you’re born. -> Vil, obsessed with being the most beautiful, shows a perfect front to the world but is actually very layered.

Alhaitham (Genshin Impact) super smart and strong scholar. Interested in linguistics, can speak and read 20 languages, he’s a scribe, declines more influential positions and political power because he’s satisfied with what he has and wants to have free time to do whatever he wants and study the things that interest him. Made a plan to overthrow his government because all the scheming annoyed him and interfered with his daily life. -> But also Childe. Super strong fighter, fell into the Abyss when he was 14 and learnt every fighting technique in 3 months. When he returned his thirst for blood and battle was insatiable. Ayato too, he’s one of the most cunning, smart and competent people in all of Teyvat. Works in the shadow, deals in a lot of politics, extremely dangerous and lethal.

Cloud (Final Fantasy 7) Zack’s friend, Sephiroth’s nemesis, infantryman who never made it into Soldier, but was later experimented on by Hojo with S cells and fell in a coma but was rescued by Zack. Had memory loss and thought he was Zack, because he had a Soldier 1st class uniform, his sword, which he inherited and he was always listening to him during his coma, so his personality changed to match. Became a mercenary and helped eco terrorists Avalanche destroy reactors and go against Shinra. Seems indifferent and cold but actually cares about his party, self-loathing and guilt-ridden. Tries to be a good leader. Very badass, cool fusion sword and motorcycle, Fenrir. Spiky blond hair, looks like a chocobo.

V (Devil May Cry) best boi, the human half of a devil, but still not quite human. The poetry and existential doubt and discovery of self, also his relationship with his familiars!! Griffon and kitty <3<3<3

Sandalphon (Grandblue Fantasy) really depressed primordial being, lived for two thousand years fuelled by doubt, resentment and ANGER.

Dean (Supernatural) cool and badass. Strong fighter, can be ruthless and merciless, street smart but can be book smart sometimes, can cook. Sad childhood, raised as a soldier, ‘daddy’s blunt little instrument’, all his life was hunting, his duty was to protect his brother, dedicated and self-sacrificing, playboy and heartbreaker. Vessel for Michael, The Righteous Man, Man of Letter, had the Mark of Cain, was a vampire, demon, Death for a bit. Believed all supernaturals were monsters but later became friends with an angel, Cas, a demon, Crowley, a vampire, Benny… Went to Heaven, Hell, Purgatory. Was Alistair’s apprentice in torture, the Darkness, God’s sister liked him.

Stiles (Teen Wolf) smart human, the one who always figures it out, morally more ambiguous but always wants to do the right thing, but is willing to make sacrifices and use underhanded methods. Loves his dad and is always trying to take care of him after his mom got sick and died of dementia, sad backstory, she tried to hurt him. Love Void Stiles. His relationship with Scott, Lydia and Malia <3

Finnick (Hunger Games) has the most fucked past ever. Good guy, skilled fighter, can appear an asshole and a flirt, but he’s just jaded.

Newt (Maze Runner) the Glue. Sad boy, was a runner but now walks with a limp because… *sob* Always believes and is ready to follow Tommy <3. Page 250 *sob sob*

Nico (Percy Jackson) son of Hades, one of the big 3, is actually 80+ years old. Can control the dead, earth, shadows and even fire and ice when his emotions are out of control. Has an hellhound named Mrs. O’Leary. Angsty gay boy, had a crush on Percy, now is together with Will, son of Apollo, opposite attract <3 -> Percy! Witty, in way over his head, fast-thinker. Son of Poseidon, good swimmer, can control ice, blood, poisons, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, talk to horses and sea creatures. Has a black pegasus named Blackjack. His relationship with his mom and him Annabeth <3

Klaus (Umbrella Academy) gay disaster, probably wouldn’t survive without Benn. The Séance, ability to communicate with the dead, he’s a mess because of his personality, his power and his family.

Spider-Man (Marvel) super strength, heightened senses, spidey sense, can walk on walls, webs. -> comic: older, with Deadpool -> movie: Tony’s son basically, suit lady AI Karen, nanotech and stealth suits, EDITH glasses. -> Also Loki and Bucky are amazing! Loki is basically a god, with heightened endurance and strength, really good magician, uses illusions. He’s always faking his death in dangerous situations and creating chaos for his amusement, often making things worse. Inner struggle, considers himself a monster because of his race and how his adoptive father loved him less than his brother, how his brother always got him in trouble and their friends didn’t care about him. Bucky is a tortured and traumatised soul. From cool hero, always saving Steve’s ass, to badass brainwashed assassin super soldier. Trying to find himself again and live in this model society.

Jason (Batman) the second Robin, the Red Hood. Super angsty, tragic story, badass, very flexible morals. From a Crime Alley petty thief, became a sidekick, died brutally because of the Joker, came back to life with some side-effects. Assassin training, mercenary, vigilante, hero, just wanted revenge and to be avenged. Interesting relationship with Bruce, Dick and Tim. Him and the Outlwas <3

Frank (Dead By Daylight) charismatic manipulative murderous leader. Only cares about his group and how to abate his boredom. Love Legion <3

Ezio (Assassin’s Creed) badass throughout all ages. He has to hone his abilities and learn new moves by being taught by friends and allies. Open minded, seeker of truth, fun-loving, over-the-top, womanizer and braggart. His relationship with Leonardo and Sofia <3

Legolas (Lord of the Rings / The Hobbit) beautiful badass elf. Basically an immortal fighting sassy machine, super loyal to his friends.

Jaskier (The Witcher) the bestest bard, super funny and loyal and charming.

Dorian (Dragon Age) super interesting character, with a tragic past and a load of issues he has to overcome.

Sehun (Busted) I really enjoyed the show and Sehun is my bias wrecker in EXO!

Marvin (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) the smartest robot with the driest sense of humour. Adorable and hilarious and perfect.

Puss in Boots (Shrek) adorable but badass cat.

Rin (Fruits Basket) mean but also selfless, sacrifices herself for the person she loves. The horse. Her and Haru <3

Misaki (Maid-Sama) caring, cool, smart. Demon council school president, secretly working at a maid café. Her and Uzui <3

Yona (Yona of the Dawn) best character growth ever, from a spoiled little princess who knows nothing about the world to a badass fighter who experienced tragedy and is travelling all over the world with her friends. Red hair and purple eyes. -> Lili is also amazing, she appears confident and brave, but is actually shy and caring.

Sypha (Castlevania) BADASS woman mage, sarcastic, stressed and slowly losing her mind.

Katara (Avatar: the last airbender) great female character, can be pretty badass, best water bender, blood bending! -> Toph is also fantastic! She’s blind but one of the most confident and cool people! Master earth bender, can use it to see, invented metal bending because nobody can lock her in a cage and she’s just awesome like that.

Holo (Spice & Wolf) very cool and wise wolf lady.

Homura (Madoka Magica) lack of confidence -> intelligent, athletic, distant, cold, mysterious, internal conflict. Can stop and turn back time.

Nana (Nana) super cool woman!! The angst she goes through *sob*

C.C. (Code Geass) soo sarcastic and funny! She’s such a queen, but can also be weirdly cute. Loves pizza and has green hair and yellow eyes. -> Lelouch is also a fantastic character!! Super smart selfless guy, trying to play the villain, while being a hero and uniting the world for peace, he succeeds spectacularly.

Revy (Black Lagoon) badass crazy red-head.

Hayley (The Originals) badass mother with a chaotic love life. Hybrid werewolf vampire, part of the Mikaelson family. She taught Klaus how to be more merciful and paternal and he taught her about herself and how to be a leader, love them. Also her relationship with Elijah <3

Octavia (The 100) badass woman, went through a lot, overcame and became stronger and ruthless but found herself again. Her and Lincoln <3 But I also like her with Levitt.

Sansa (Games of Throne) best character development ever, she went through so so much and became stronger, tougher for it.

Kate (Hawkeye) socialite, young archer and capable of multiple fighting styles, smart. Lucky the Pizza Dog, golden retriever. -> comics: Clint’s partner, Young Avengers. -> series tv: friendship with Yelena, passing the torch from Clint.

Hermione (Harry Potter) smartass, very intelligent, always saving the others through her knowledge and reasearch. Muggle parents but is still the brightest witch of her generation. -> Draco is also quite interesting. He was a bully, raised by pureblood parents, his mother loves him and his father wants him to bring prestige to the family. Internal struggle, conflicted between light and dark sides.

Rikki (H2O) cool, independent and sometimes badass mermaid, with electricity powers.

Akali (League of Legends) badass assassin without a master, can fight for whoever she wants, whenever she wants. Kinda impulsive, but still super skilled. -> Also Riven is really interesting! One of the best fighter in Noxus, was betrayed and now travels the land in search of a new purpose.

Cynthia (Pokémon) master and Elite 4 Champion, very interested in mythology and history, really cool. Uses Lucario, Garchomp, Milotic <3 -> Also N is very interesting! He’s an enigma, an idealistic activist whose policy is releasing Pokémon from human control, his goal is to create separate worlds for both Pokémon and humans. He has the ability to sense a Pokémon’s feelings and thoughts along with hearing their "voice." Obsessed with mathematical formulas. Later revealed to be the King of Team Plasma.

Tigresss (Kung-Fu Panda) tiger female martial artist.

Fluttershy (My Little Pony) yellow and pink pegasus, represent kindness, very shy. Afraid of spiders, clown and dragons, but then her relationship with Discord <3
