“Hey guys, come on in!” Wanda smiled as she stood aside to let yourself and Yelena into her apartment.
Atleast once a month, you and your girlfriend Yelena always made time to head over to Natasha and Wanda’s apartment to spend a fun night catching up, watching movies and playing board games. It was a great way to catch up, and it allowed for the four of you to establish a pretty close bond which always came in handy during missions.
Only tonight was a little different, truth be told you didn’t exactly feel great. Your throat was uncomfortably scratchy and there had been that dull ache lingering in your head. If you were being honest, you would’ve preferred to stay home, curl up and try to sleep off whatever bug you’d caught before it hit you in full force but you couldn’t do that to Yelena. While you both loved these get-togethers, it was her who benefited the most. It was a chance for to spend time her sister and there was no way you’d cancel on that.
So you opted to stay silent. Sitting down in the living room, you were greeted by Natasha had who laid out a selection on board games.
“Which one do you wanna play first?” She asked, kissing Wanda’s cheek as she came to sit down beside her.
“I don’t mind.” You said but your voice ended with a rasp, sending you into a small coughing fit, “Sorry! Something just caught on my throat there.” You lied seeing Yelena glance towards you, a worried look behind her eyes.
“Let me get you some water” Nat offered, giving your shoulder a comforting squeeze as she stood up, “You lot should pick a game in the meantime.”
By the time Natasha returned with your water, the group had settled on playing Monopoly. Everything was great for the first half an hour, and everything had been going smoothly. That was until the pressure in your sinuses had gotten painful, giving you a rather unpleasant headache which you’d been your best to ignore but Yelena had caught you massaging your temples one too many times.
She waited until both Natasha and Wanda had left the room to grab snacks before turning to you, cupping your cheek as she looked over you, “Are you alright? You’ve been rather quiet today.”
“Im fine ‘Lena.” You tried to assure her, even adding a forced smile for good measure, “Just a little tired, that’s all, don’t worry.”
“Are you-“ She began but stopped seeing that Nat and Wanda had returned with food.
“Everything okay?” Wanda asked as she set down a bag of Doritos onto the coffee table, noticing the slight change in atmosphere.
“Yep, everything’s fine, me and Y/N were just-“
“Hh’tshoo!”
“Bless you.” The room chirped, but you couldn’t help but feel the anxious eyes of Yelena scanning over you once again.
“Im fine.”
“I didn’t say anything.” She smirked.
Over the next few hours, all you could do was sniffle. Nothing seemed to stop the constant running at the back of your nose, not to mention the headache which had felt like it amplified tenfold. But this time it wasn’t just Yelena who’d picked up on it, both Natasha and Wanda had noticed too. But you were desperate to see the night through, you had too.
Thankfully your sniffles seemed to die down for a little bit, well, that was until you’d felt that knowing tingle at the bridge of your nose and whilst you tried to tight against it, there was nothing you could do to stop it.
“Eiiishiew! Hh’ttshoo! Hh-hih’iiishiew!”
“Oh goodness, bless you!” Yelena cooed, rubbing her hand down your back as Wanda used her powers to levitate a box of tissues towards you.
“You feeling okay Y/N?” Natasha asked, exchanging uneasy glances with everyone, sharing her sister’s concern.
“Im fine, I swear, it’s probably just-“ You paused to yawn, unable to stop yourself from sniffling damply afterwards, “Im okay.”
The anxious faces of the three women met your own and your shoulders dropped seeing their concern, the concern which only grew seeing you break off into a series of deep chesty-sounding coughs moments later.
“You don’t sound very well.” Wanda said, being the first the voice the collective thoughts of the room.
At Wanda’s statement Yelena reached over and pressed her hand over your forehead, sighing deeply feeling your overly-warm skin, “I think you’re feverish sweetie, why didn’t you say anything?”
“Relax ‘Lena.” You sniffled, running your sleeve beneath your nose, grimacing as the rough texture irritated it, “Its just a cold, I’ll be fine.”
Nat and Wanda gave each other a knowing look and excused themselves from the room, letting the two of you talk privately.
“You know theres tissues here for a reason, right?” She sighed, pressing a bundle into your hand, “You been feeling icky all day?”
Taking the tissues, you blew your nose, before nodding. Not resisting when Yelena sighed again as she pulled you into a hug, “What are we going to do with you, ey? You’ll be okay sweetie.”
“I know but I didn’t want to spoil your night. I know you love it when we get together with Nat and Wanda, its really fun and I didn’t want either of us to miss out.” You sniffled before sneezing down into your tissue bundle, earning yourself a sympathetic noise from Yelena.
“You haven’t spoilt anything, I just hate to think you’ve been sat here not feeling well the whole time. I’d even say we could take you home right now but look.” Yelena paused, turning your attention to the window. Harsh rain had begun to pour from the skies outside, “Its pouring down. And theres no way I want us to walk back home in that weather, not with you already being ill.”
“We might have a solution for that.” Natasha smiled as she re-entered the room, followed closely behind by Wanda who was holding two small bottles.
“We thought maybe you’d both like to stay the night? Especially with the weather taking a turn for the worst outside.” Wanda offered before holding out the two bottles of medicine towards you, “This should help a little bit dear.”
“Thanks Wanda.” You gave her a small smile, setting the bottles next to you.
“I think sleeping over is a great idea though.” Yelena agreed, giving the two women a thankful nod, “Should we take your guest room?”
Natasha pursed her lips, “Actually, we’re currently doing up that room, the beds are in pieces at the moment but Wanda and I already agreed that Y/N should take our bed for the night, sleeping on the sofa isn’t going to help them feel any better.”
“I cant take your bed!” You tried to exclaim however the roughness of your throat caused you to break off into a fit of harsh coughing.
Yelena sighed again whilst cupping your cheek, “You definitely have a fever sweetie.” She affirmed, “You feel warmer then earlier.”
“We should get them to bed then.” Nat added, “You’ll feel better, cmon.”
With that said, Yelena helped you stand and you both followed Natasha and Wanda to their bedroom. Following their instructions as they guided you to lie down in their bed and it really wasn’t long before you were asleep. You really did need it afterall.
“They’ll be okay, they’ve probably just caught some kind of bug.” Natasha whispered to her sister as Wanda laid another blanket over you before coming to side beside her girlfriend.
“Thanks for taking care of them. It means a lot.” Yelena smiled, leaning down to press a tender kiss to your forehead before quietly leaving the room, letting you rest peacefully, “Hopefully they feel better in the morning.”
“Im sure they will.”

Icicles and Injuries
Pairing: Wandanat x Reader
Prompts: Frozen (Day 2) + No way out (Day 11)
TW: minor injury, being trapped, hypothermia, mentions of death, partial nudity (consented)
Words: 2K
Summary: Reader gets trapped and needs to be saved before she freezes to death.
For once the miss had gone well. No injuries or accidents or hidden traps. It had been a breeze. Now all that was left was to sit tight in the nearest safe house in the woods and wait for Tony to send a jet to come and collect you. ‘You’ being Wanda, Natasha, Kate and Yelena.
By late afternoon it was still light outside and snowing lightly. A white dust of flakes covered every available surface in a thin layer of pale snow.
Being in the woods it was a beautiful sight to behold, yet Natasha and Yelena having come from Russia were most winters bordered on nuclear, did not share your enthusiasm.
Wanda and Kate had spent some time in Europe before and were a little more used to it. And sure, you had seen snow many times, but it was always a point of beauty to you. It helped you relax. Soft and cold it continued to drift down from above coating the landscape below.
“Wands? Natty? Do you guys wanna come with me for a walk?” You asked popping your head into the lounge room of the cabin.
“No thanks detka. Not right now. Yelena and Kate were going to watch a movie and I think Wanda was going to start dinner soon.” Natasha said looking genuine.
“Okay.” You said feeling a little saddened by the fact nobody would be coming with.
“Make sure you take a coat. It’s cold.” Nat said over her shoulder as she positioned herself between her sister and her sister's girlfriend with a shit-eating grin. Always the older sister, you thought rolling your eyes.
You said a quick goodbye to Wanda who echoed Nat’s statement about a coat before putting one on and a pair of gloves, boots and a beanie before entering the snow scene outside the cabin.
You headed for the trail behind the house. It was marked with signs on the trees as it snowed enough around here for trails to be easily lost without proper signage.
You sighed, feeling at peace and relaxed as the snow crunched softly underfoot. Setting off down the trail it was lined with fresh snow and small animal tracks, probably squirrels or rabbits.
As you continued down the track the cabin grew smaller behind you. It was a loop and came out down by the other side of the house.
Seeing the first sign on the tree you smiled at the small red arrow which was on a wood-stained oak board nailed into the tree.
You continued down the track listening to the serene quietness and peaceful sound of snow and birdsong.
Pulling your coat around you some more it was getting colder as the evening wore on and your nose was surely frozen as small snowflakes collected on your eyelashes.
As you continued down the short trail a flicker of movement out of the corner of your eye caught your attention. A small squirrel had hopped up onto what looked like the snow-covered husk of an old tree. The little creature chittered at you and you smiled softly at the peacefulness of the moment.
But before you could even think the squirrel ran up the tree. The tree looked like it had survived many winters and was well past due to be fell in the summer. The squirrel continued up the branches which were creaking eerily already laden with snow on the branches. Then there was a sharp cracking crunch, and the tree began to fall.
At the last minute the squirrel jumped onto a nearby branch out of harms way. Yet you stood frozen. You just had time to duck and cover as the tree crashed down onto the path. It fell in a way that had managed to avoid hitting you but had pinned your coat under its heavy trunk. Your left boot was also pinned, and you bit a cold breath of air back in shock.
The snow continued falling, however it seemed almost menacing now. If you stayed out much longer into the evening the temperatures would continue to fall, and that beautiful snow might be the thing that kills you.
You cursed yourself from forgetting your phone, not that it would have a signal, but it would be better than nothing. They may have been able to track you at least.
The sun began to dip under the tree line and the temperature began to drop faster without the sun to provide warmth.
The snow was collecting on top of the tree making the chance of escape seem slimmer and slimmer.
The snow was beginning to build up either side of you now. Blocking you inside the wooden ribs of the tree. The branches caving around you with the snow beginning to form a roof and sides.
It was cold and it no longer felt like just your nose that was frozen. Your cheeks stung with the cold, and you wiggled your fingers and toes to try and warm them up as well. Frostbite was a very real thing and one you did not want to ever have experience in.
As the sun began to cruise lower and lower in the sky it continued to get colder. The light was starting to go now as well, a dusky overcast type of light was all that was left. If this continued on for much longer you worried, they may never find you until the snow thawed, by then it would be too late.
Back in the cabin the movie was almost over. Yelena and Kate had ended up beside each other again with popcorn in their hair after flicking it at each other for the whole duration of the movie. Nat had already seen the movie and headed to the kitchen to fetch four mugs of hot chocolate to share.
As she stepped into the kitchen which smelled like heaven and smiled at Wanda.
“Wheres Y/n? Surely, she’ll want hot chocolate as well.” Natasha smiled.
“I thought she was with you?” Wanda said looking up from where she had been seasoning chicken.
“No?” Nat said frowning. “She should be back from her walk by now.”
“Oh god.” Wanda paled slightly. “She’s not still out there, is she?”
“If she is we better find her fast before it gets too dark. Cold weather like this can kill.” Natasha said. “You send Yelena and Kate to check the bedrooms before joining us in the woods. I’m going to see if i can find her. Join me when you’re done.” Nat said already slipping on a coat with a sense of urgency to her movements.
Wanda nodded her assent and went to tell Yelena and Kate.
After a little bit all three girls were out searching the woods. Wanda was focusing on finding you with her mind, but you were either asleep or close too it which worried her greatly.
Finally, she sensed you under an old looking tree covered in snow. She called the others over and focused, using her magic to move the tree off you.
When your red jacket came into sight Natasha was the first to get to you. Scooping your cold and limp form into her arms. You were breathing but also freezing cold.
“We need to warm her up. NOW!” Nat said as she began sprinting to the cabin with you in her arms.
Your cheeks had long since turned from a rosy red colour to a dusky blue as the temperature had fallen further.
Once Natasha burst through the front door she headed for the bedroom you, her and Wanda had been sharing the past few nights.
Wanda, Kate and Yelena followed close behind, nobody commenting on the water that was being tracked through the cabin. Their focus elsewhere.
Natasha gently set you down on the bed, Wanda beside her and Kate and Yelena hovering in the doorway.
“Alright.” Nat said. “Wanda i need you to help me get her out of these wet clothes they’re doing more harm than good.” She said already starting to peel off your soaked coat. “Yelena, Kate.” She began and the two stood a little straighter. “Go and run a warm bath, not too warm but just enough to not be cold.” Nat said and the two turned tail and headed for the bathroom.
Wanda was now working on taking off your snow-pants while nat continued stripping off your top half. After a minute you were left laying in just your sports bra and boxers, long past shivering.
“Now what?” Wanda asked seeming panicked.
“Now we warm her up. It works best with skin-to-skin contact. So, we need to cuddle her. Bring that blanket and put it on top. Once Yelena is done with the bath, we will kick them out.” Nat said. Pulling off her shirt and taking off her track pants. She was now stood in bike pants and a sports bra much like what she wore to training in the gym.
Wanda was one step behind as she took off her shirt in a matching outfit to Natasha’s.
You, Wanda and Natasha had been together almost three years now, so it was nothing new. But still, nat had sent Yelena and Kate away just because.
Nat climbed onto the bed beside you and began pulling a sheet over you. Wanda slipped into the bed on your other side and cuddled up close. Sucking in a sharp breath when your frigid skin came into contact with her. You made a small noise of pain and curled into her front. Your face tucked into her chest. Natasha curled up behind you, tucking you between the two of them. Wanda had one arm around your waist and the other holding the back of your head to her chest. Natasha had her arms over you and on Wanda’s bare hip and back.
After a few minutes of quiet cuddling, and the sound of your short huffy breathes, you began to stir slightly. Your eye’s blinked open before you whined and screwed them shut again.
Wanda carded a hand through your hair and shone softly to you.
“There we go. Come on. Come back to us baby-girl. You’re doing so well for us my love.” She coaxed, her hands tangling in your wet locks.
After a second the sound of the tap shutting off was heard and Yelena’s footsteps came down the hall. She peaked in and smiled at Natasha looking so domestic but bit back a comment.
“Your bath is ready sestra.” Yelena said with her heavy accent hiding her amusement.
“Alright.” Nat said as she shifted Wanda’s arms around you tightened.
“Can i carry her this time?” Wanda asked sounding almost scared to let you go. As if you may disappear.
“Sure baby. But you’ll need to give her to me before you get into the bath with her.” Nat said and she glanced back at the door where Yelena had disappeared from before getting out from under the sheets.
The process of bathing you was simple enough. The flush had come back to your cheeks as Wanda held you in her lap in the bath while Natasha ran and warm cloth over every inch of your skin slowly warming you up. After they had been satisfied you were warm enough, they towelled you off as you start to come around again. They dressed you in Nat’s warm hoodie and Wanda’s red track pants.
Wanda had you in her arms when the three of you re-entered the kitchen slash lounge room.
Yelena grinned. Having set up a nest of sorts on the floor with a ton of blankets and pillows. Kate had five cups of hot chocolate on the bench and a movie queued up.
You buried your face into Wanda’s chest as the five of you got settled into the nest. Blankets were thrown over the five of you and you settled in for the movie.
Wanda’s dinner was still cooking and right now nobody wanted to leave you by yourself let alone out of their sight.
So, you curled up in your girlfriend’s laps and listened to their hearts beat with the soundtrack of parks and recreation playing in the background.

Hi I was wondering if you could do the sicktember 24. “Did you just sneeze?” - Yelena x Sick Reader.
Little Kitten

〖Summary: Yelena teases you for the way you sneeze.〗
〖Word Count: 550〗
〖Pairing: Yelena x Sick Reader〗
〖Notes: I would greatly appreciate if everyone is nice about this one, I will admit that Yelena is not my best character and I'm working to get better at her characterization.〗

“Did you just…sneeze?” Yelena asked, incredulous at the small kittenish sound you had just made. You pouted at her and grabbed a tissue that you used to paw at your nose. Her face split into a grin as she watched your movements, noting that even those were strangely catlike.
“Lena,” You whined, sniffing in a rather pathetic way. “Le’me alone, I don’ feel good.” A permanent pout had settled on your lips since this mind-numbing cold had started and you felt rather pitiful.
To her credit, Yelena had been doing a surprisingly good job at taking care of you. She wouldn’t win any awards for being the most nurturing person, but she made sure you ate, drank water, took your meds, and supplied you with more tissues than you’d ever need. She even cuddled with you when you asked, though the act was performed with a lot of grumbling about germs.
You didn’t blame her, this was a monster of a cold that had you laid up in bed for three days already, days that felt like weeks. It had hit you hard and fast, one night you were fine and the next morning you were an absolute mess.
Your head ached. Every part of you ached, your nose was stuffy, and you had a low-grade fever that was just enough to make your bones hurt. You’d developed a cough the day before that was clinging to your chest, making it feel heavy. Concerns of bronchitis had floated across your mind for a moment, but you didn’t feel well enough to care.
If it was bronchitis Yelena was making sure you were doing what you needed to combat it and you were pretty sure she wouldn’t let you die. Not like that anyway, that would be rude of her.
“Fine, but that was cute. Do you need anything?” she asked, still chuckling. The little smile on her face would have been sweet if it hadn’t come at your expense. You glared at her and crossed your arms over your chest, huffing your frustration. Not only were you plain old tired, but you were tired of being sick.
“No.” You muttered, staring with dead eyes at the TV. You weren’t sure what was playing but the bright light was annoying you. Everything was annoying you. You were mad about being sick, mad that TV was boring, mad that your nose was running, mad that your throat hurt. Mad mad mad.
“Okay grumpy, why don't you go sit on the couch and I’ll make you something to eat? We’ve got some great boxed mac and cheese.” she offered, trying to guess what you were thinking. She was right of course, the most frustrating thing about your current situation was that all you had eaten was soup. You were so done with soup.
“Fine.” You took in a quick breath and sneezed again, making the same sound as earlier. Yelena laughed and leaned over to kiss your forehead, the bed shifting with her weight.
“Rest котенок. Food will be ready when you are.” As she left you allowed yourself a small smile. You were touched by her warmth, something saved only for you. She had such a hard exterior, which made sense considering what she had been through, and her caring held a different level of meaning.

Elevation - Charles Baudelaire
Above the lakes, above the vales,
The mountains and the woods, the clouds, the seas,
Beyond the sun, beyond the ether,
Beyond the confines of the starry spheres,
My soul, you move with ease,
And like a strong swimmer in rapture in the wave
You wing your way blithely through boundless space
With virile joy unspeakable.
Fly far, far away from this baneful miasma
And purify yourself in the celestial air,
Drink the ethereal fire of those limpid regions
As you would the purest of heavenly nectars.
Beyond the vast sorrows and all the vexations
That weigh upon our lives and obscure our vision,
Happy is he who can with his vigorous wing
Soar up towards those fields luminous and serene.
He whose thoughts, like skylarks,
Toward the morning sky take flight
- Who hovers over life and understands with ease
The language of flowers and silent things

would you be willing to write kind of a part two for the teddy bear hydra child
I certainly would! (Sorry it’s so late; I had a lot of stuff going on, but I just finished some of my finals!)
Teddy (part 2)
Masterlist | A03 | Wattpad | Recommendations | Inbox
Summary: A certain blonde haired ex-Soviet spy happens upon a random child in the halls; Steve apologises.
Warnings: HYDRA, Torture (Implied), angst, naïve (unnamed/not described) OFC, fluff
Word Count: 962
Read Part One Here
Tumblr media
“Hello, little one,” a blonde greets the random child she found wandering around the halls. The girl is clinging onto a wet stuffed animal. Strange, but who is she to judge? “Who’s your friend there?”
Wide-eyed, the girl is surprised the woman isn’t trying to take it away from her. That’s all anyone has tried to do since she got here.
She talks a little funny, but it is pretty cool. “Teddy,” she answers, her eyes lowered to the ground as she scuffs her toe on the ground.
“Cute,” the pretty blonde smiles at her.
She mumbles a thanks, starting to fidget with her stuffed toy. This woman is good, she thinks. She’s not trying to take away her best friend.
“Do you want me to help dry your friend off?”
She looks at her with wonder alight in her eyes, “You can do that?”
“Sure.” Yelena shrugs. “Just follow me.”
The girl waddles after the woman to her room. They go to the bathroom where she pulls out a strange looking object with a cord. After plugging it into the wall, Yelena holds her hands out. Biting her lip, the girl shakes her head.
“What’s wrong, солнышко?” Yelena questions with a frown.
“What does that thing do?”
Yelena looks at the machine then back at the girl. How does she not know what a blow dryer is? Deciding to ignore that, she grabs it and turns it on to demonstrate it. The girl jumps at the sudden noise.
“It’s okay, солнышко, I won’t hurt you or Teddy with it.” She places her own hand in front of it as if to show the girl that it’s harmless.
Yelena smiles, seeing her relax a bit.
“You promise you’ll give Teddy back?” The girl looks at her with wide, hopeful eyes.
“Of course,” the woman earnestly promises.
She watches Yelena the entire time she’s drying off her friend. They sit in a comfortable silence, the only sound being the drone of the hair dryer.
“There!” Yelena smiles. “All done.”
The girl makes grabby hands and Yelena gives the stuffed toy back. She mumbles a small “thank you” before hugging it tight.
“How’d she end up so wet?” Yelena questions, wanting to continue the conversation.
The little girl bites her lip, unsure if she should tell her. Well, she did help her, so she reasons that Yelena is a trustworthy person. “The meanie took it away and was drowning it.”
Yelena furrows her brows at the pouting child. Who is she talking about? Why would someone drown an inanimate object? That doesn’t sound like something anyone here would do. Sure some of them are a bit nuts, but none of them have any screws that are that loose.
“Who did it?”
“A big muscly guy. He looks scary ‘cause he is so huge.”
That description doesn’t really help that much. Most of the guys here are big and packing with muscles. Maybe it was Barnes. He’s very intimidating. Though, she can’t picture him wanting to interact much with anyone, much less a child.
It could be Sam. Sometimes he can be a little intimidating. But she finds it hard to believe that he would be like that around kids. He has his own nephews that get along great with him. She’s sure that he would be extra kind and cautious around her.
It’s also possible that Thor could have been the “meanie”. She knows he always has the best intentions, he’s just not the greatest with the execution of said intentions. He’s really big and loud, that could be perceived as scary.
She supposes it could be Steve too. But she doesn’t think he would take away someone’s toy to drown it. That’s just ridiculous. No one would do that.
“Hey Yelena, have you seen-” the voice of Steve echoes through the room. He stops seeing the young girl he was searching for. He breathed out a breath of relief. “Oh, thank goodness you're okay. I thought you might have tried to run away.”
The girl frowns. She wouldn't run away. She knows better. There is no escape. All running away does is bring pain and misery.
“…солнышко?” Yelena questions, trying to get the young girl’s attention. “I think Steve wants to talk to you.”
The girl backs up and clutches onto her bear tighter. No. No, he won’t take her away again. He won’t hurt her. She shakes her head and buries it in the toy’s worn fur.
Steve’s heart breaks, seeing the little girl cower before him. He kneels down from where he’s at. To respect space and keep from frightening her further, he doesn’t move any closer.
“Sweetheart? I just wanna talk okay?” Steve’s soothing voice pleads. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t want to lose your trust… I just… I wanted to clean your toy. It was dirty and… and I just thought that if I washed it while you were sleeping it wouldn’t be that big of a deal.”
She shakes her head, clenching her eyes shut. “You-you weren’t washing her! You were torturing her!”
Glancing over at Yelena for help, he sighs. “I would never try to hurt either of you. That machine just makes things clean… it doesn’t hurt it.”
“He’s telling the truth, солнышко. My friend Steve isn’t a bad guy. He only wants you to be happy and healthy.”
Looking up at the large man, the young girl debates on whether or not she should trust them. His face looks so sincerely sad that she can’t help but feel bad for making him feel that way. Maybe she can give him another chance?
“Okay…” she mumbles, still clutching onto the toy harder than necessary. The second part is harder for her to say. “I-I trust you.”

Show me a hero and I'll write you a tragedy
With a heavy heart she nudges Peter kindly as she swings down his street. “Nayk” she pushes the headphones off his ears, “It’s time to wake up”.
The Spider’s eyes flutters open a short moment later and the teen straightens in his seat, rubbing his tired eyes. “We’re there already?” he asks in typical I-just-woke-up mumble voice that makes Natasha's heart swell. She’d thought she get used to having the kid around by now. But maybe she won’t ever get used to it.
“Almost” Natasha nods and slows the car down, eyes scanning for a spot to park, while she drops Peter off. “Is May home?”.
Peter shrugs and unlocks his phone. The blue lights shine up into his face, allowing Natasha to see the healing cut across his cheek. Steve had hit harder than Natasha had expected him to. “I don’t think so, she hasn’t texted. She’d probably working late. She does that sometimes”.
***
In an alternate universe, Natasha takes the spot as Mentor in Peter's life. But when Peter suddenly disappears from his apartment, Natasha has to accept that she'll never see him again.
Or will she?

sick reader/yelena On a date using the prompts “I think im coming down with something.” and “Your cheeks are flushed” (i saw a post where you said you could try writing for yelena and it made me happy cuz she doesn’t have a lot of fics so i hope you don’t mind writing for her)
Close Enough
Hey, hey, hey! Well heres another fic for you, I think it turned out pretty cute :)
Summary: You'd wanted to ask Yelena to be your girlfriend, but it seems fate had other ideas
Wordcount: 1035
░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
“Oh hey.” You smiled as Yelena came towards your table, you stood up to greet her, being surprised when she pulled you into a tight hug, “It's good to see you too.” You smiled, replying to her silent message.
This would’ve been the 5th date that you’d gone on with the beautiful blonde-haired woman. You’d met a few months ago at your local coffee shop, not far from where you were now actually, you’d both ordered the exact same drink and had picked each other's up, only realising when you both read the others name on your cup. From there, well you’d just clicked. It was like your whole world had been leading up to that exact moment where you’d fallen head over heels in love with her without ever speaking a word.
It seemed fate was on your side, from that day you’d seen her in that same coffee shop at the same time you’d come in for your daily coffee, each time you’d exchange brief conversations before. Only day you had finally mustered up the courage to ask her on a date and to your great surprise, she said yes.
Everything had been going well between you two and you, more than well infact, it was going amazing. So, you were sure that tonight would be the night where you’d make it official, tonight would be the night where you would ask Yelena to officially be your girlfriend. Which was why when you’d woken up late that morning feeling like you’d been hit by a truck, you couldn’t help but groan. Maybe fate wasn’t on your side after all...
Your head was pounding behind your eyes, it felt almost as if it were about to burst from your skull but looking across at the beautiful woman sat opposite you, it was impossible to not feel a little better.
It was Yelena’s voice which pulled you from your dazed out-haze, “Y/N?” She’d repeated your name, looking towards you with concern behind her eyes, “You alright over there? Your cheeks look flushed.”
“Oh.” You felt yourself blush with embarrassment, further reddening your cheeks, “It's probably just the lighting in here.” You said, pointing up at the dim light on the roof.
“Maybe.” She replied, although she didn’t sound too convinced but changed the subject anyhow, “What are you fancying for dinner?”
Oh yeah, you hadn't really thought of that. You really didn’t have much of an appetite, scanning your eyes down to the menu you were looking for something light, something like- Aha!
“I’ll just have the Caesar salad.” You said as you put the menu back, desperately trying to ignore the tickle which had slowly started irritating your nose.
“You sure? Normally you’d get that as a side dish or- oh, bless you!” Yelena said with surprise as you suddenly turned away and sneezed down into your elbow.
You sniffled thickly, knowing you weren't quite finished, “Excuse me for a sec’.” Your breath hitched as you scrambled to excuse yourself,
“Hh’tshh! Hh’itshhiew!” You’d sneezed another 2 times before finally reaching the bathroom, you sighed. She had definitely seen that.
You went into a stall and ripped off some of the toilet paper, taking it to blow your nose, trying your best to not smudge your makeup. But of course, it didn’t do much to stop your concealer from coming off, revealing the red edges of your nose, you sighed as you looked over yourself in the mirror, wishing you could just hide in here until Yelena went home.
Taking a deep breath, you readied yourself to back out, not wanting to leave Yelena alone at the table for much longer, only that familiar itch made itself known again, stopping you in your tracks.
“Oh, you’ve got to be Hh kidding Hih- me,” You managed to say to yourself just before your body gave in to the itch, “Hhu’tshhiew! Hh’iiishHIEW! Hh-”
You felt the gust of air flood into the room as the door the bathroom opened, you couldn’t help but feel embarrassed but still you weren't able to see who had entered, the irritating tickle in your nose had all of your attention in that current moment.
“Hh’HhiTsshhiEW! Hup’ttshoo!” You let out a stuffy groan, finally feeling the itch resolve. It was then that you brought your head out of your elbow, and as your eyes met the mirror, you almost gasped seeing Yelena standing behind you, a look of blatant concern sitting on her face.
“Can I say bless you now? I didn’t want to interrupt you.” She joked, her tone softening as she approached you, gently moving the hair which had fallen infront of your face, “I knew something was up with you, you sound ill.”
“I think Im coming down with something.” Your eyes fell down towards your feet as you quietly admitted it.
“It seems like it, here.” She turned to grab you some tissue from the stall which she was standing infront of. She let you blow your nose before continuing, “I asked for them to put our food into takeout containers.”
“You did?”
“Yeah, I figured we could eat it back at my home, It’ll be easier for me to look after you there,” She said, looking down to the rough-feeling tissue in your hands, “Plus I have decent tissues too at my apartment, that okay with you?”
“Of course, Im okay with that.” You smiled, pulling her into a hug.
She smiled and took your hand, leading you from the bathroom and back to your table, stopping at the register to collect your meals which had been neatly packaged up. The pair of you thanked the waiting staff and were just about to step out onto the street when Yelena stopped again, taking off the small yellow cardigan which she had been wearing before pulling it around your shoulders.
“We don’t want you to get the chills now, do we?” She whispered into your ear as she held the door open for you.
Walking along the street, you were warmed by the material and you couldn’t help but thank your lucky stars for the day you met Yelena. Maybe you weren't quite official yet, but this was close enough.

The hard days
Pairings: Wandanat x R
Word count: 1.4K
Summary: reader has been struggling a bit and her girls step in.
TW: depression? Sadness
A/n I want people to know I’m still now writing much marvel but this was a special request so … yeah.
To say you felt bad would be an understatement. It had been a hard day. No. It had been a hard week filled with hard days and it just seemed to be never ending. Today you decided to tell whoever was pulling the strings to kindly fuck off. Whatever cruel game they were playing could play without you for just one day. Sure, it wouldn’t fix anything, but the bed was so comfy. The team could survive one day without you. They were big kids, and they could suck it up for once. Today was a pj and bed day. The only reason you were leaving this bed was for the bathroom and snacks.
Nat had been up since dawn as she was every day. You can take the girl out of training, but you can’t take the training out of the girl. Nat was in the gym, the boys were all away on a trip to some space conference or something Tony wasn’t in a sharing mood, so they were either in space or somewhere else, for once nat didn’t care.
After a solid three hours in the gym, she threw in the towel. Using the fluffy sports towels Tony kept in the gym nat took a shower and changed into comfier clothes. She has been up before the sun and already gone for a run before she came to the gym.
After what could only be described as the best shower of her life, nat walked to the lift and caught it to the communal floors for a hearty breakfast. Quietly she padded down the hall and into the kitchen. For once it was only Wanda at the table and they exchanged a puzzled look.
“I thought y/n was with you?” Wanda said covering her mouth which was full of jam and toast.
“I assumed she was here?” Nat responded coming to lean on the bench.
“Nope, haven’t seen her at all today.”
“Neither.” Nat frowned, you had seemed rather blue and tired when you went to bed last night but nat was willing to dismiss it as stress combined with fatigue.
“We should probably go check on her. Right?” Wanda asked putting down her half-eaten toast.
“Yeah… yeah, probably.” Nat said trying to stop herself from biting her lip. She usually did her best to suppress her anxious habits to make it easier to slide into character for missions. Wanda slides a comforting arm up and down nat arm.
“She’ll be alright. She probably just overslept.” Wanda said but they both knew you never overslept.
The two women took the lift to the floor with everyone’s rooms. Walking down to the hall at the end nat forwent knocking as her nerves got the better of her while her mind ran circles around her heart.
Opening the door, she frowned at the fact the curtains were still drawn. She looked to the bed to see a y/n sized lump cover head to toe by the blankets. Wanda stood in the doorway ready to provide backup of nat needed it.
“Y/n.” Nat said poking the lump.
“No.” Came a mumbled response.
“No?” Nat asked.
“No.” you said again.
“Y/n what’s wrong you never sleep in?” Nat asked shuffling up the bed to wrap her arms around you as best she could in this position. “Baby we just want to help.” She said softly.
“It’s … it’s all too hard.” You sobbed and Nat gently peeled back the blanket to see your tear-stained face.
“Oh honey.” She cooed and slide under the blankets to wrap you in her arms. She ran her hands through your hair while she tucked your face under her chin. “It’s ok my sweet girl. It’s ok. It will all be ok. I won’t let anything happen to you. We love you so much baby girl.” She cooed holding you tight into her chest. Over your head she shot Wanda a look and Wanda nodded and disappeared.
You must have cried for hours. To Nat’s credit she never left your side. She held you the whole time, uncaring of her tear-soaked clothes, you were more important.
“Baby? Do you want me to braid your hair?” Nat whispered and felt you nod into her collarbone. Gently she sat you up and grabbed the hairbrush from the bedside. After brushing out the knots which was a slow process due to her wanting to tease them all so you weren’t in pain, she started braiding. She began by sectioning your hair, running her nails over your scalp to seperate it into chunks. After it was properly parted she began twisting the strands, grabbing more hair as she went to create a beautiful design that ran across your head and fell into two of the cleanest braids you had ever seen. When nat was done she pressed a kiss to each of you cheeks and rubbed her thumb over your cheekbone.
“Oh my love, I don’t know what I’d do without you. I don’t know how I’d survive without your little notes it find around the tower. Or the endless ideas you have on missions. Your so special my dove, never forget that. The world would be lonely without you. Everyone is unique to loose you would be to loose something so unique it will never return. We need you. Not just as an agent, but as a person. You are loved my baby. You are so so loved.” Nat said and pressed a kiss to your nose. You let out a small sniffle and nuzzled into her neck.
Wanda came back to the door and sent nat a nod over your head.
“Hey y/n/n?” Nat asked softly.
“What?” You asked in a small shy voice.
“I think you might want to come to the cinema.” Nat said and helped you up. You shot her a confused look and nodded to tired to disagree.
“Ok.” You mumbled.
“Thank you baby.” Nat said and before you could react she scooped you into her arms. Your fronts pressed together as she held onto you like a toddler. You buried your face in the side of her neck and let the up and down motion of her steps lull you into a soft hazy daze.
After a minute you felt nat sit down on something soft. She held you close to her and whispered in your ear. “Open your eyes sweetie.” She said and you looked up. And you have never loved Wanda more.
Starting with the table, Wanda has dragged a table into the room which was covered in snack and drinks as well as just about every takeaway box from New York. She had made a pile of blankets which was made into a makeshift bed the size of almost the whole cinema floor. Pepper was sat cross legged tapping on a tablet and looked up to meet your gaze with a tender smile. Carol was tossing jellybeans into her mouth and sent you a wink when she caught your eyes. Mj was doodling in her sketchbook down the back and waved when she saw you. Yelena and Kate were throwing food at each other which was being eaten by Kate’s dog lucky.
You looked over to Wanda with tears in your eyes. “You did this for me?” You asked gazing around and noticing your favourite movie cued up to play.
“Of course y/n. The boys don’t get to have all the fun.” Wanda grinned and you sniffled.
“Thanks guys. It really means a lot.”
“Anytime boo.” Carol shot you finger guns and a grin.
“Not a problem at all y/n. I love free snacks.” MJ grinned.
“I needed a break.” Pepper sighed.
“Clint’s been driving me crazy, this is the perfect escape.” Kate said and elbowed Yelena from where she was trying to steal her pizza back off lucky.
“Oh… yeah… free pizza and a movie, plus a chance to annoy my favourite sister? Wouldn’t miss it for the world bubs.” Yelena grinned and lunged at the dog who darted out of the way and she landed on Kate who pushed her off.
“It wasn’t that hard. Plus you deserved it.” Wanda said and Nat just placed a tender kiss to your lips leaving the taste of her chapstick she stole from you a month back.
“Ready?” Wanda asked and you nodded as she pressed play.
It was safe to say you had never felt more loved and safe. Life was full of hard times, but without them the good wouldn’t feel so great. You were needed. You were loved.

Hi! Can I request 1, 35, and ill timed with Yelena and sick reader? Love your writing!
Old Wives' Tales
This is my first Yelena fic! This is also unedited! Mostly because it's 2am!
[[Summary]] Most of the avengers would kill to get out of a press conference. Not you. You would do whatever you could to make sure you got to go. (yelena x reader)
-----
You had been looking forward to the press conference all week. Most of the others absolutely hated dealing with the media. Natasha voiced her hatred outright and had even recruited Clint and Wanda (who were clearly only supporting the assassin because they were dating) to boycott any sort of press event. Fury had shut it down, insisting that it was a part of the job and that people needed to view all of you as a unit.
Tony loved the attention, Bruce didn’t really care about any of it as long as the big guy didn't come out, Cap was, of course, all about the people, Strange enjoyed showing off his intelligence in any way that he could and Thor always looked bored. Yelena only went because she had little choice. Natasha decided that if she had to go, so did her sister.
You, Tony, and Cap were the three who truly loved the conferences. It was fun for you, it was some of the only times that you could snap back at the public for the way that they saw some of you, mainly when it came to the three women. For some reason, they were more okay with the men destroying cities than with the rest of you accidentally knocking down some statues in a battle. Calling them out on it and watching faces go red was quite entertaining.
Imagine your dismay when you woke up three hours before the conference with a blocked nose and full sinuses. Your throat felt like someone had force-fed you gravel and your body was unnaturally heavy. Damnit. You were sick. You hadn’t been sick in years but could recognize the feeling anywhere. It went without saying that you were no longer looking forward to dealing with reporters.
With a hacking cough, you heaved yourself out of bed, swaying when your feet hit the floor. All of the blood rushed from your head, leaving you dizzy and vulnerable. You fell back onto the bed and clutched your head in your hands, groaning quietly. This was going to be an incredibly long day. Suddenly the idea of sitting under harsh lights and arguing with misogynists sounded like a nightmare.
You took a final deep, bubbling breath and stood up again before shuffling to the bathroom to get ready. Despite knowing that there would be someone to do your makeup you applied a small amount, simply enough to make yourself look less like a walking zombie and more like a semi-living human.
It was difficult to do proper makeup with shaky hands and blurry vision, but you pulled it off with minimal screw-ups. You’d thought for a moment that you could handle doing mascara and eyeliner but after accidentally drawing a dark black streak on your cheek. Then you’d had to do the makeup again, leading you to give up on doing anything close to your normal look.
You threw back a shot of cold medicine and chased it with two Tylenol tablets swallowed with a gulp of water. Your throat burned and you coughed into the sink, wincing at just how much worse that made it. The fever you could deal with, but the sore throat was really getting to you.
There was this old wives tale that you only vaguely remembered, but you knew that it had something to do with salt water. After a quick Google search, you found yourself in the kitchen mixing a teaspoon of salt into a glass of warm water. The internet had recommended less salt, but your logic said that more would make you feel better faster.
You took a sip and nearly gagged as you attempted to gargle with it, the salt burning your throat even further. You only managed to keep it in your mouth for a few seconds before needing to spit it out. Wrinkling your nose you did the same thing with the rest of the glass, managing to keep the disgusting water in your mouth for longer each time.
When it was gone you rinsed your mouth with clean water and took a big sip, thoroughly annoyed when you found that your throat seemed to hurt even worse than it had before. So that had failed. Of course, it did, why would it have worked? Why couldn’t it just make you feel better?
You checked your phone and sighed, wondering what you were supposed to do for three hours. If you had thought it over better you may have waited to do any sort of makeup and instead set an alarm that would let you sleep for a little bit longer. But no. Now you had to figure out what to do with yourself.
Then, it came to you. Some people swore by exercise to cure minor illnesses and you needed to train anyway. Screw the makeup. You made your way down to the gym and changed into a tank top and leggings, pulling your hair up in a tight bun before you entered the actual training area.
You made your way over to the punching bags and began to hit one, growing tired after only a few seconds. That didn't matter, it was good for you. It would be good to sweat out the germs and you’d get in a bonus workout.
Twenty minutes later you had moved onto the obstacle court and were drenched in sweat, struggling to avoid said obstacles. You had fallen on your ass twice and there was a fresh bruise on your cheek which would of course hurt much worse when that was the only pain that you’d have to focus on.
“Y/n! What on Earth are you doing?” You stopped and turned around to find Yelena stalking toward you, wearing a nice dress and a scowl. You opened your mouth to respond when the blonde’s expression turned to one of worry and you felt something slam into your back. The breath was knocked out of you and you fell to the ground, curling up to protect your head.
You stayed in that position until you felt calloused hands on your shoulders, coaxing you out of your protective ball.
“Idiot.” The young widow grumbled, pulling you to your feet. She held you steady and glared into your eyes, her face softening as you felt yourself wanting to cry. She could tell, of course, she could. There was no bullshitting Yelena Belova, especially when you didn’t have the energy to put on a mask.
“The germs aren’t leaving.” You complained, your voice a mere whisper. The woman raised an eyebrow and nodded, pressing her hand against your forehead. You whined and pulled away, swatting at invisible bugs as you did.
“Okay weirdo, you sure are delirious. Come on, let's go.” She ordered, wrapping an arm around your waist. You sniffled and put your head on her shoulder, nearly letting the tears fall when she pulled you closer.
It wasn’t often that Yelena would show affection where others might see the two of you, it simply wasn't the kind of person she was. But in private she was incredibly loving and attentive, she was an absolute sweetheart who would quite literally kill to keep you safe. Well, she may also kill for fun. The woman had a violent streak.
“We’ve gotta go, Lena. We have-”
“Shut up.” You shut up. It just wasn’t a fight that you would win, nor a fight that you wanted to start. You’d rather just let her do what she wanted and maybe she’d cuddle with you. She’d definitely cuddle with you, it was a matter of whether or not you’d get a lecture about neglecting your health or not before the cuddles.
Yelena half-carried you to your shared bedroom, not complaining about how much work you were making her do. It wasn’t intentional, but it seemed that forcing yourself to train had sapped every ounce of energy that you had left and you were struggling to make your body move the way it was supposed to.
Your clear lack of strength came to a head when your knees gave out under you and you found yourself crumpled on the floor of the hallway containing everyone’s rooms, Yelena unable to keep you standing any longer.
“Damnit, Y/n, are you alright?” The Russian woman asked, maneuvering out of the tangle of your combined limbs. That was it, that was all that you could take. You had been doing such an okay job at keeping yourself steady, making sure that your illness was on the sidelines, hyping yourself up for the press conference that you had been so excited for but now you were starting to break down.
Tears slipped down your cheeks and you hung your head, body beginning to shake as you let yourself give up. Yelena cupped your face in her hands, her striking emerald eyes searching every part of your face for anything that could tell her how to help.
“Hey, hey why are you crying?” She murmured, quickly rearranging the two of you so that you were leaning against her instead of the wall. You knew that your nose was running and that you looked absolutely disgusting, you were amazed that she was willing to be so close to you. She usually shied away from sick people.
“Talk to me kotenok. Tell me what’s wrong, let me help.” Her kind words just made you want to cry harder. Rather than forcing you to answer Yelena held you tighter, pulling your head down onto her chest. She pressed her lips into your hair and whispered to you in Russian, promising you that everything would be alright.
“I-I don’t f-f-feel good.” You finally managed, speaking into her shoulder.
“I know Y/n, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you this sick. But that’s why I’m here, I get to help. Even though you’re kind of an idiot.” You let out a waterly laugh and smiled, sniffling thickly in an attempt to get rid of some of the snot. Gross.
“Gross.” Yelena echoed your thoughts and pulled a tissue from her pocket to wipe your nose with. Where she had gotten a tissue and why she had one you didn’t know, but you were grateful.
“Thanks, baby.” You mumbled, giving her a weak smile. She snorted and kissed your forehead, rolling her eyes at you.
“Alright germ bag. Ready to get up again?” The blonde helped you back up and the two of you went back to stumbling down the hall, your tears subsiding slightly.
Maybe you could convince Yelena to let you join the press conference via Zoom. Then at least you’d get to be a part of it. If not though, at least she was there to remind of you of your bad decisions all while making you feel like the most loved human in the whole world.

Pen Pals
by inkinmyheartandonthepage Tony shot Natasha a look that screamed they would be talking more about this later when Peter wasn’t in hearing vicinity. He turned back to Yelena, his expression still dark. “And you were on this mission too?” “No,” Yelena smirked. “Yelena helped me get home,” Peter said, shooting a grin at Yelena. “She’s so badass Mr. Stark!” Natasha took a deep steadying breath. “And why exactly did you need to help him get home?” Tony asked, his tone deadly.
