Today on the Mikey Is Not Abused news

Research shows that 78% of the “Poor Mikey” fanclub claims that Mikey is incapable of standing up for himself, whether that be because he fears further abuse, fears his brothers in general, suffers from intense depression, an abuse sort of conditioning, or *insert other incredulous views here* (Statistics may not be entirely accurate and should be used with caution).

Unfortunately for them, Mikey does knows how to stand up for himself and it has been shown that he can speak his mind to even the main abuser, Raphael, and walk away unscathed.

Astonishing claim, I know, but the facts prove themselves.

Mikey has brought up beliefs on several occasions, but his lack of awareness outside his own mind often disproves his own claims.

Years of leprechauns, cream cheese demons, and certainty in cupcake uprisings have worn down his brothers’ trust in his word on many different subjects. This is not his brothers ignoring him out of spite. This is merely because he has proven himself to be an unreliable source when it comes to reality.

His lack of interest in taking most battles and training sessions seriously grate on his brothers’ nerves and often lead them to doubt his prowess and abilities on the field. Mikey being the youngest and earning all of their must protect with life instincts doesn’t exactly help his case. He knowingly brings much of their wrath upon himself- with tauntings, and purposefully infuriating acts, and the constant reappearance of Dr. Prankenstein.

When Mikey doesn’t go gun-hoe or call Raph out for a whack on the head, it’s probably because he’s conscious enough to know he likely said/did something stupid, or because he purposefully did something annoying.

However, if he sees an injustice affect another by his brothers’ hand, he will be the first one to stand up and correct it.

Mikey is proven to be more likely to speak his mind when it comes to others around him getting retribution that he deems underserved.

IN FACT, a few of the only times fans actually see an aggressive argument/challenge poised to a brother is to Raphael, often in regards to his crass judgement.

Take Fourfold Trap as an example:

“I got the answer for you! Karai’s a lost cause!”

“Don’t say that, dude!”

Mikey shoves at Raph’s shoulder to make him face him and they both begin yelling/bickering/roughly gesturing. Mikey is in no way scared of how Raph will react to this and is immediate in getting physically aggressive and speaking his mind.

Not normally how someone who’s been abused all their life would act towards the main abuser, I think. Not convincing enough?

Well, The Curse of Savanti Romero is another:

In it, Renet is seen admitting to her mistake of letting Romero loose. Raph responds by immediately coming down on her for it, even though she understands and regrets her mistake.

Mikey has zero hesitations about jumping into the picture.

“You really are the worst time traveler ever! The worst!”

“Back off, bro! She needs our help!”

Psychology of most abusers would not point to this kind of situation going well. If this were the case- in no universe would Raphael have relented under his brother’s glare and stepped away, especially not after being shoved and yelled at in front of someone outside the family. That would be seen as a calling for punishment.

Moving away would be letting the abused assert dominance and think that they’ve gotten away with a win.

If this were really an abusive relationship, then Raphael would have had a far more violent reaction to his youngest brother butting in.

Instead, he growled, glared, and then relented. He could tell this was not an issue that could be further challenged. Mikey was standing his ground, intensely meeting his glare, and so Raph stepped away.

Now, have there been times where Mikey felt like he was left out or being ignored and that made him feel insecure?

Yes. Absolutely. Mikey Gets Shellacne is a prime example.

But, have the abusers, his older brothers, been made to share similar feelings of being unable to rely on their brothers at one time or another? Perhaps due to his direct or indirect actions? Why, yes.

Because, as hard as it is to believe, every person in that family has made mistakes when dealing with another family member. Relationships are hard. Not one person, or mutant, is perfect, and facing or accepting insecurities is always a fact of growing up.

Is this to say Mikey never stands up for himself?

No. Not even close.

Is it ever portrayed as something big and dramatic as a focal point of an episode? No. Because it doesn’t need to be.

If Mikey holding onto resentment and depression from how his brother abuse him was meant to be part of his character, it would have been a plot point in the episode where they’re literally in his brain. There would have been the slightest hint of something going on somewhere in that chaotic realm.

Instead, Mikey’s brain welcomed all of his brother with open arms.

And the true, inner Mikey runs ecstatically toward his brothers and into Leo’s open arms for snuggles, no more scared of his brothers inside his mind than outside of it.

The only time that he has thoughts of “my brothers are so mean to me I should run away” is the episode The Croaking, where he takes accountability and has the realization that his brothers aren’t the jerks that he thought they were when he ran off…

“Dude. Your brothers sound awesome.”

“Yeah. They are… Even after I trashed the house.”

Mikey doesn’t often react violently to his brother’s teasing because there’s not a reason too. He understands that his brother’s pick on him, but in reality, he picks on them too. It’s not a big enough deal to point out unless an evil planet is letting Angry Mikey consume all of his thoughts and then everything is terrible.

Mikey can stand up for himself. Mikey will always stand up for others.

I made my versions of designs for ceroba starlo and martlet for the au!!! (Does the trio have a name? Would cowboy fanclub suffice for now???)

Starlo: Still runs the town as a rootin' tootin' Cowboy but now spends his time also helping out at home with his parents. Ever since Clover passed he had gained a deeper appreciation to those he considers close and reconciled with his family! He runs all over town helping provide food and entertainment and has turned the wild east into a pretty popular area. (It likely also helps that he got a decent amount of funding from the king to do this as kind-of an apology since in this au he knows that clover gave up their life and feels prettyyyy bad about it kabdks)

Martlet: Took up a job at the post office (duh) with her speed and agility (that's only present in flying oof) she can go through all the underground within the day. She has a side job as a carpenter and aids in building homes, does comissions n stuff (which doesn't often pay the bills hence the post job) she has a small wooden statue of a western looking figure with a clover indent on its hat always present on her work desk for some reason. Those who visit never ask.

Ceroba: After Clover had passed, Ceroba had spent a while mourning at Dina's when suddenly the towns sherrif took her to a schoolhouse nearby (maybe in waterfall idk, but somehow starlo knows that the teacher was out that day) and asked her to read to the kids, who were starry-eyed at the stories she could tell. She took up a job helping out as a sub/TA 'cause while she likes soke of the kids she doesn't want to deal with the exhausting experience of lesson planning n stuff and now volunteers in bake sales and activities to cope. More recently now that the barrier's broken and Kanako[?] Had been returned to her by alphys she is keen more tha ever to not let her kid out of sight, that may prove to be difficult as the amalgamate that houses her daughter and a couple of other monsters is very curious and after being trapped for so long wants to explore.

(Was tired so i didn't draw dalv but he exists and hangs around, makes books for kids and preforms as shown in canon. But in addition he explores the underground to draw landscapes to practice his art so you can see him quietly walking around listening to music)

* First I just want to say you don’t ever need to apologize for not being fluent in a language. It’s very respectable just trying to learn another one, especially English because it’s a very difficult language if it’s not your first. Most English speakers still have trouble with grammar, myself included, and I go to college for it, so don’t ever feel like you need to apologize because you’re doing awesome ;)

For your first question did they ever have a partner? Besides Asmodeus canonically having one, no one else has had it confirmed in the game. However I have my own thoughts on this.

Lucifer is very intimidating and the people he doesn’t scare away may have ulterior motives so he may quietly try out a date or two to sniff out any motives. Even though he teases MC in season one about having many lovers in the past I feel like he’s never had a girlfriend/boyfriend/partner, but he may have had a one night stand here and there.

Mammon has definitely has partners in the past but not for long. This is mentioned in the game in chapter 1-3 that when Mammon takes a liking to someone they find themselves a wash in money until Mammon breaks it off. I believe Mammon has had a lot of flings in the past.

Leviathan has definitely never had a partner or even tried to.

Satan has probably had a few one night stands but I don’t think any relationships got very serious. He doesn’t seem like the kind to spend a lot of time away from his books and hobbies and wouldn’t originally have made time for a partner.

Asmodeus has had a million flings and thousands of partners but I don’t think he really considered these partners to be serious and saw them more as a fun time. After all, until he met MC he never cared for anyone above himself.

Beelzebub probably had a partner on accident in the past. He probably unknowingly said yes to someone when they gave him food and just went along with it until they stopped providing food or someone gave him better food. I believe people eventually realized he was just saying yes to the food and didn’t hold it against him. As for one night stands, he’s really shy but he may have tried it in the past.

Belphegor has definitely never had a serious partner but he may have had a few friends with benefits or flings in the past just to try it out.

I’d also like everyone to remember that Leviathan is the only brother confirmed and consistently stated to be a virgin.

Barbatos had definitely never had a serious partner but he used to be young and full of power once too so he may have slept around a few times though it seems to have been so long since then that even small interactions with MC make him blush wildly.

Diavolo has never had a partner. He’s had many friends but MC is the first time he decides to act on his feelings.

Simeon had stated in game that he’s never had someone like that in his life so he defeats hasn’t and Raphael having flings is out of the question. That angel only cared about his job and getting better at his job.

Solomon canonically has had many partners in the past. Since our Solomon and the biblical king Solomon are meant to be the same person, he had hundreds of wives and concubines in the past but those days are long gone and he’s likely not done much in the way of Love since then.

Mephistopheles states in Nightbringer that he’s not in a relationship and that talks of marriage are far away (although this is the past) and he firmly believes in a politically arranged marriage.

Thirteen doesn’t seem like she much cares for anything romantic but she may have had a fling once or twice in the distant past.

As for the second question. MC definitely has a fan club as they have received fan mail before and had a Devilpedis article written on them. They were also an urban legend in the sorcerer’s society, and are a huge public figure in the Devildom and crucial in connecting the three realms. It’s impossible that MC doesn’t have two or more fan clubs.

Hisagi exudes a strong impression of a character who is often toyed with, so I recall being very happy because he was surprisingly cool. Nevertheless, it's because my mental image of Hisagi was just as the aforementioned, that I also remember being taken by surprise after seeing Kazeshini. There are some characters whom I think have a Zanpakutō that is different to their image, and some characters whom I think have a Zanpakutō which suit them perfectly. So, I'm curious whether sensei creates a character first and then thinks about their Zanpakutō, or if it's the other way around.

3. Psychological & spiritual location

First of all, "1. physical location ①" is the storehouse where the Asauchi are kept, which will be distributed to those who will soon enter the Shin'ō Academy and become Shinigami or members of other organizations. Even in this case, it certainly would be surprising for Ichigo, but I don't think it's something to be that boastful about. This is because it is (most likely) a teacher from the Shin'ō Academy who takes out Asauchi from the storehouse and then distributes them, so it's not Ōetsu's privilege.

Next, "2. physical location ②" means that, similar to GPS, he can perceive the current location of all Zanpakutō which have been released from their Asauchi.

Finally, "3. Psychological & spiritual location" is the key point where Shinigami who possess Asauchi liberate their Asauchi. I believe there is a standard which dictates how far a Shinigami needs to go before they are able to release it, and I wonder if Ōetsu knows what that standard is for all Shinigami. Knowing the key point for the release criterion of all Shinigami extending from Soul Society let alone to the various locations in the Human World is truly an extraordinary feat which deserves to be called 'god-like'.

It's not the best idea to base things on personal impressions, so I would appreciate your opinion or answer regarding this analysis.

Do the saints in the mez setting have ye olde fanclubs. Are there folk saints of mechs. Do people sell those like sainted tokens of like scraps of paint from the mechs or something

Not so much fanclubs in a fandom sense, that's a bit of a modern invention. They would have taken their worship very seriously and one of the most common pilgrimages of the time is a tour of all the stables, where you can get iron pilgrim badges made out of old armour plates. I have drawn Mercury and Mars wearing them before ⤵️

The badges are worn as a sign of devotion but also to prove that you've visited those stables, because as the stables increase in importance, they don't just let anyone wander in to see the relics and beasts. You have to prove that you've been to other stables before, the more the better, otherwise you may not be worthy of checking out the good stuff. It is expected that every member of the laity go on a pilgrimage at least once in their lives.

Craftspeople do capitalise on this by selling small devotional items that you can take home and set up in your own shrine. I've drawn one of these, a mass produced woodcut print of Leun, but these are super common and usually not of high quality, fudging details so that they might resemble any given beast if you just squint a little. This one is on the upper end, quality wise

But the most central part of how one is expected to 'commune' with a holy beast is in their breath. huffing fumes is right there in the scripture - I mean, they are practicing engine worship, so of course they're placing huge significance on the smoky part. Grifters often sell what are essentially empty bottles, claiming that they have captured some smoke or some of the beast's breath, making it, essentially, holy air. Fun fact, when an important member of the Church is dying, he has the option to request a death by engine fumes instead of a natural death, and in a severely hypoxic state they share their final wisdom with the congregation, often in the form of a prophesy.

So, onto folk saints! They do exist - assuming you mean large mechanical creatures which have not been built by the Church. in which case yep those exist, the theocracy has sole control of the fuel supply within its own borders but there are plenty of other parts of the world. But there are also beasts that straight up don't exist but are worshipped by the laity within the theocracy. Rumours of odd sightings spread into stories of some new beast who can help you fix your gout if you pray to him. The Church considers it heresy but just like in the real world, that doesn't really stop people. Except in the case of the annexed Midean region, where people practicing "idol worship" are executed.

Oh they were having one hell of a golden age before those damn Mideans decided they wanted independence about 300 years ago, and before the dragons stopped appearing with such frequency.

The slow fall of the theocracy began with the Midean civil war/war of independence, which was a narrow win for Mez but has been a burden on them ever since. The Mezian theocracy grew by annexing surrounding nations and cementing its chokehold on fuel supply, and its colonisation of Midea was what brought it to power in the first place, long before that, especially given that Midea was the world capital of of enginesmithing at the time and an exporter of fantastic technology. So that was all great, for the Church, until the war of independence which lasted almost a century. Midea lost and did not become an independent state, but it marked a significant shift in how the population believed & behaved. That's partially why Saint Lycaon was taken from Midea, he is essentially a hostage under threat of destruction if his people don't fall in line. The constant struggle to police those areas taxes the Church of its resources and civil unrest doesn't seem to be dying down any time soon.

Before the war, the theocracy's power was absolute within its own borders. After, it has retreated to its strongholds of Salvius and Forza (where the biggest stables are) and all but abandoned the more remote regions to fall to ruin. Not so much a spoiler, but a major plot point of the story, set at the end of this age, is that the final death-prophesy of a cardinal was: unless taxes were paid by the laity [dying of plague], the Church is under no obligation to send the beasts to aid them in times of peril. During the 'golden age', this would have been an unthinkable act of miserliness, and the Church would have sent those beasts out whenever and wherever, often to random villages not being attacked, just to give people a chance to see them. The massive waste of fuel was not a big deal because there was always sooo much more waiting, and the sky was full of dragons. Now, every drop must be preserved.

Knowing your friend as well as you do, you didn’t doubt she would eventually introduce you to her younger brother in due time. All three of you are elemental spirit researchers, and though the siblings are rather estranged, you hear a thing or two about this ‘Holm’ individual whenever a certain pretty-faced tall-man comes by.

“Who’s Holm?” You one day ask. Your gnomish friend shrivels up slightly at the question. She doesn’t normally talk about her family, a bit too estranged from them to really care too much for them.

“My brother. You heard Kabru, I’m sure,” she answers.

You shake your head. “Yeah, but who is he?”

“Why do you want to know?”

“I’m curious.” You smile in a way that sends a shiver up your friend’s spine. “You know me!”

Since she’d rather not deal with your questioning, she instead arranges through Kabru to introduce you both. Your incessant ramblings of how he must be a talented researcher if he makes use of spirits in adventuring, and how you’d like to study under him made her blood boil. This is the only way she’ll find respite.

You’d spot Holm instantly in a tavern – he looks similar enough to his sister after all – and put on your best, brightest smile. Beside you, your friend adjusts her glasses to deadpan you.

“Don’t get your hopes up about this apprenticeship thing,” she advises.

You reach out to pat her cheek, tutting. “Oh, don’t worry your pretty little head! I’ll only be an hour, and so much can happen in that time!”

Leaving your friend to scrunch up her face in disgust at your delight at getting your way, you’d skip away to introduce yourself to Holm.

Names are exchanged, and you and the gnome shake hands. Gosh, now that you’re here, you can feel your nerves start to catch up to you. Holm seems easy–going enough, a little less prickly than his sister, but still witty enough to catch you out with jokes you wouldn’t expect.

“You study elemental spirits, and utilise them in dungeons, right?” You call upon previous knowledge of the gnome across from you. “That sounds fascinating! How do you do it so easily?”

Holm lazily grins at you, endearment crossing his expression at how interested you seem to be. Whether it’s interest in him or his study, he seems flattered. “Spirit care comes easy. It’s like raising a pet. I had Marillier, an undine, in my care since she’s just a little droplet. With time and trust, calling upon an elemental spirit’s help comes easy.”

“Ooh, how wise!” You clasp your hands together. “You’d make a great teacher, Holm. Ever thought of taking in an apprentice?”

Holm tilts his head. “Ah, interested, are you?”

Knowing you’d been caught, you simply smile at Holm with a bit of sheepishness. “Is that so bad? Your sister hardly mentioned you, but you seem so intelligent! I should thank that Kabru man for letting me know of your existence!”

At the mention of his sister and party leader meeting, Holm frowns. “They’re still meeting, eh? Nothing too suggestive going on between them, I hope?”

Even when filled with a slight sense of disgust, you can’t help but find him cute. Haaahhh, this will be the death of you!

“Don’t worry,” you reassure, “he merely comes over for tea sometimes.”

You neglect to leave out the type of letters she’d be writing to him. That’s a bit much for what you consider a first date.

Holm heaves a sigh of relief, reaching up to twirl his hair. “Thank goodness for that…”

The conversation continues, the two of you getting along like a house on fire, until Holm’s sister comes by to pick you up an hour later.

Just before you say your goodbyes, you perk up. “Oh!” Turning to Holm one final time you smile. “Sorry, but I didn’t get your answer on that apprenticeship idea?”

Holm ponders on this for a few seconds, almost freezing in place at your sudden question. A long few moments pass, and your friend was just about to speak up when Holm shyly interrupts.

“I don’t think I can take you on as an apprentice… I think I’d prefer a more personal relationship with you, if that’s alright…”

The answer, even if it wasn’t the outcome you predicted, fills you with happiness unlike any other nevertheless. You graciously thank Holm, turning to your friend with a wicked grin, reacting in shock at the fact you’re just inviting yourself into her family.

“Ah–” Holm says. “Before you go…”

“Yes?” You face the gnome again, blinking curiously.

He takes a few moments to gather himself, before asking, “would you like to join me for dinner tomorrow evening? I’m free, so…”

“I’d be honoured!” You don’t even hesitate to reply. You can sense your friend’s disgust even without looking at her.

Holm smiles with relief. “Thank you. I’ll meet you outside this tavern again…?”

“Yes!” You nod eagerly. “I’d even bring along some of my own notes if you’d like to compare!”

“Ah, a study date?” Holm perks up slightly. “Yes, I’d like that a lot…”

“I’m still here, you know,” Holm’s sister dryly butts in. With some apologies, she finally drags you away from her brother, grumbling that this must be how he feels about her flame…

You giggle at her reaction once you walk outside. “Oh, don’t be like that!” You whine. “Aren’t you happy to have me be a part of your home?”

“You better not!”

You blissfully ignore her scolding. Yes, a successful venture indeed.

Jamal groans as he buries his face on your nape, already knowing the height of how much he fucked up when in his drunken stupor, he managed to post photos of you together which left the fans to conclude your relationship to what it really is. It also didn't help that the team’s PR manager had been blowing up his phone with multiple messages, emails and phone calls (that were all left unanswered) since last night and was just basically telling him not to do an even more stupid decision than this one.

A drunk mistake it may be but Jamal felt no remorse on how the people found out about your relationship. It's been a solid year and a half of hiding, attempting to steer the media’s eyes away from the both of you as you go on dates, strolls and doing what normal couples do but ultimately needing to cut them short because of the nearing media presence.

Jamal is certain that you're not bothered by him posting those images, but he knows you're more anxious of what the people might think and how they might react despite having an entire supporting shipping fanclub yourself even with the minimal public interaction you've done.

You're both... loved, if you will. There is still some negativity here and there but it's mostly dominated by supporting fans wanting for the both of you to date. So Jamal really doesn't see any problem why he should be regretful to what he has doneㅡ even though it was obviously a very drunken accident.

“But you're not really upset with me, are you?” You turn around to face him, cupping his cheeks and he automatically nuzzles his face on your palm.

Jamal knows you're not. He's just looking for some extra guarantee.

“No, I'm not. How could I ever be upset with you?” You tell him, voice falling into a whisper before you're being caged in his arms.

“Just so you know, I’m not regretful that I posted those pictures.”

And you laugh. “Ich weiß.” I know.

You laugh because you knew.

a/n: got this idea from seeing Framme's first support with both Alear and Clanne and thought it would be a funny thing to write something like it for my favourite archon.

Anyway, hope you enjoy!

While Ei was long used to humans acting subordinate or somewhat awkward in the presence of their archon, seeing you get excited whenever you found out something new about her, no matter how miniscule, only to quickly write something down afterwards was making her rather curious.

“Say, if you were so inclined to tell me, what is it you are writing down?”, Ei asked while watching you put a new entry into your notebook, putting down the dessert she had just so obviously enjoyed, causing you to instantly look back up at her, sharing with her the same smile you wore whenever you wrote down something.

“I’m just adding something onto the list”, you answered as if it was the most normal thing in the world, causing Ei to second guess if this wasn’t as unusual as she thought and it just became another thing humans started doing sometime in the last centuries.

“It’s a list with all the things you like, you know, from things like desserts to-”, fortunately for her, you noticed her confused look, causing you to go off on a tangent, leaving her enough time to think of what to respond.

“Do you have a bad memory?” You never striked her to be particularly forgetful, sure, sometimes you’d let a thing slip, but most of the time she didn’t even need to tell you things more than once. However, you keeping a list would explain things.

Or so she thought at least, only to see you stop talking and shoot her a confused look, only to let out a small chuckle afterwards.

“No, it’s for your fanclub. As its president I have to make sure that the other members get the insight into their archon's life they deserve”, you stated proudly, only to look away awkwardly and let out a stiff laugh.

“Not like there are any members yet- But don’t worry, I have a few people in mind who might join! I even heard there is this general, that-”, you once again trailed off, only for Ei to let out a silent chuckle. She may not completely understand what you were doing, but as long as it made you happy and didn’t harm anyone she wasn’t about to be the one to stop you.

Not only that, she literally has a Pineapple🍍 shape and coloured hair and her last name, Piña, literally means Pineapple🍍 in Spanish. 🤣🤣🤣

Add on from @xjulixred45x "Anana" is also a form to say "pineapple" in Spanish. So her name basically means "Agent Pineapple Pineapple 🍍" 🤣🤣🤣

This observation was made by Lilith_Ilythla on Twitter that in The Missing Cases of Ooo Orientation Video, Black Hat mentioned that he thinks that "lemons are not evil but Pineapples are.🍍"

If that's the case, it's pretty amazing foreshadowing if they planned out everything from 2017, (which was when the episode came out) or even before for this character to appear and wait until now to reveal it.

I theorised that she probably does a lot of evil dirty work for Miss Heed and Mr. Kelly so that his daughter can stay on top as a successful heroine and appear to have a spotless reputation.

Evidence that she does a lot of dirty work and cleans up for Mr. Kelly and Miss Heed are shown in Chapter 10, when she makes sure that Porccini's ties any loose ends to the siege and also making it clear to Porccini that Miss Heed and Mr. Kelly does not have any ties with him.

Another evidence was shown in Chapter 12, even though they made a deal to clean Porccini's reputation in exchange for him cleaning up Miss Heed's reputation, Anana Piña told Captain Estrada to betray and arrest Porccini when things got messy, King Cassino found out about their plans, in order to save the situation and cover up their involvement as much as possible as Porccini is no longer useful to their plan.

I also theorised that Miss Anana has a much more sinister purpose for her Sisterhood of the UWU club than just a normal superhero fanclub.

As based on the theory below, Melissa Lead might possibly be a member of The Sisterhood of UWU based on the pineapple logo on her laptop.

And she was the news reporter working for Arenque News that promotes one-sided false and misleading news to help clear Miss Heed's reputation and other news to make P.E.A.C.E look good.

So I theorised her club is for civilian hero supporters with high ranking or useful jobs that help promote their cause of making heroes look good, cleaning up their reputations, and/or generally doing anything that will benefit the heroes.
