How do you think the justice league boys, (Superman, Batman, Green lantern ( Hal Jordan), the flash, etc.) and John Constantine would react to an alien Reader?

Better explanation: So the reader has patterns or something that changes based on their mood, so how do you think they would react if they were talking to the Reader and Reader's colours changed to love?

Batman was just ranting to you about his recent expedition with Hal, enjoying how your face would change colors based on your reactions to certain parts of the story. A deep blue with white outlines when you were shocked, green when you were happy and lilac when relieved. It was a simple and straightforward way of knowing how you felt and he liked about you. He had all your colors and their meanings memorized not only in his mind but in his database too. So it was quite the shock when you'd started to turn a light pink, the areas of your cheeks being a bit darker. You looked lovesick with a lopsided smile on your face and he stopped talking as it all really hit him. At the sudden silence your face went gray and neutral signifying your confusion. He chuckled and decided not to tell you the real reason why he stopped. But now that he's aware of your little crush he may act on his own.

Superman would also probably have most of your colors memorized though he still doesn't know what all of them mean. So when you turn a light shade of pink while you both were talking he was confused because it wasn't a color he could relate to anything. When he asked your pink color turned into a salmon color as you got embarrassed, that one he knew. He had to ask Batman what you turning pink meant in the end because he wanted to know just in case it happens again. When he figures out the emotion behind it he's very flattered and likes to see how easily he can make you turn pink.

Hal would be similar to Superman in the sense that he would only know what some of your colors meant. He's never asked he's just picked up on a few from just being around you. He likes to have knowledge on things though, so whenever a color comes up that he doesn't know he wouldn't mind asking you about it. You usually have no problem explaining to him what you're feeling but right now when he caught you turning bright pink when talking to him you seemed to shut down. Your pink turned salmon which luckily he knew so he asked why you were embarrassed which only deepened your color. He wasn't able to get an explanation out of you that day but after observing your behavior (and color) around him while comparing it to others he was able to easily catch on.

Barry would make an effort to know all of your colors. He struggles! But he's trying and that's the important thing. When having a conversation with you he usually tries to take it slow so that he can fully develop an understanding of what all your colors mean, he's honestly very fascinated. He tries to make guesses on what the colors he doesn't know mean based on context clues. So when you suddenly turn pink his brain is immediately in analyzing mode! It takes a couple of interactions with you for him to figure out exactly what it means, it's only a hunch but it's enough to give him the confidence to ask you out!

John has a mental library of what all your colors mean. Even colors you think he doesn't know he knows ok? So when you turn pink and he doesn't immediately know what it means he starts using the process of elimination to figure it out. After maybe two interaction with you turning pink around him and he's clocked the emotion behind it. Similarly to Superman he likes to tease you and see just how pink he can make you. His goal is to make you turn hot pink, he thinks it's cute.

it took a lot of convincing for you to play mario party with barry. forty pleases and multiple interrogations on why you didn’t want to play to be exact.

are you scared? afraid you’ll lose again? come on, babe. i’ll go easy on you!

it’s not that you hated the game or anything. they’ve become a party favorite for years (except for the tenth game, we don’t talk about you) and you’ve always enjoyed how those games made you feel afterwards. whether you lost or won, cheated or played fair; mario party made you (and everyone) laugh and bond together, and you’ll always credit those games for bringing you and your family closer.

with your boyfriend… not so much.

“barry… listen…” you respond with an insecure smile, hesitant whether you should really bring this up with your boyfriend right now or suck it up and play a round if it makes him happy.

“oh no… are you still mad that i stole all your stars the last time? listen, we can play the other games! i’m sure one of them have an option to turn it off or something…” barry playfully rambles, his signature smile that made you fall in love with him still remaining. “which really defeats the purpose of the game, though. because then it becomes all vanilla and if everyone is given a fair chance-“

“barry- no.” you cut him off with a small peck to his lips, a gesture you often do whenever he goes on a tangent.

“then what is it?” he repeats the same gesture back, following up by leaning his forehead on yours to gaze into your eyes a little closer, his hold on your hands tightening to keep your balance and his upright.

“well… uh… okay, you know that mini-game where you have to button-mash the hammer into the little sand cactus thingies?” you describe the mini-game that made your thumbs sore in aftermath. in all honesty, you were great at it. until barry came along.

“the pokeys? yeah! you know i got a world record on that?”

“uh-huh. i was right there.” you lead him to the couch where both you and barry sit, reaching over to grab the red and yellow joy-cons on the table. “less than a millisecond…” you mutter to yourself.

“what about it?”

“well…” you clear your throat and open your palm that’s been holding the red joy-con for barry to take. “you broke them again.”

“oh- i can just pay you back, you know that-“

“no… barry. that’s not the problem! i’ve been noticing and this always happens whenever we play those type of mini games where we have to break our thumbs until they’re beating red!”

“hey! we don’t have to play those! we can skip and… and we can-“ barry fumbles over his words and you can tell something’s making him nervous. it’s quite comical, this entire situation. you weren’t mad, sad, disappointed, but suspicious.

“barry, did you even look at the joy-con.” you shut your lip tight, almost wanting to laugh, but remain serious as your boyfriend looks like he’s in a state of panic.

“wha-“ barry averts his eyes down to his palm. a singular joy-con, the one that he always uses whenever you guys play together, except it looks a little different than usual. “it doesn’t look broken to me- OOOOOH MY GOD.”

barry’s eyes register to a burnt joy-con. well, the other half of it. one side still maintains its signature red, but barely. he looks up at you with wide eyes and an expression akin to edvard munch’s the scream painting.

“yeah- can you tell me how you managed to smoke literally half of the controller? and out of all the games, it’s mario party?!” you take the controller back from his hand and examine it closely. one of the buttons is also smashed in. no wonder he had to get a different controller mid-round.

“listen- i don’t know how that happened! i mean, i told you i’ve been lifting more recently-“ barry attempts to grab the controller back from you as if withholding it would take any more suspicion off of him. the struggle has him rolling on top of you while both you and barry’s arms extend further away from each other.

“oh my god, barry. are we seriously doing this right now-“ you breathe out from under him.

“and that world record?! i blink once and suddenly you win first place with less than a millisecond to your name?! i’m not even sure if it registered how fast you were, barry.” you struggle through your words as he pushes his weight on top of your lungs in a continuing attempt to retrieve the joy-con, but a sigh of relief exhales when you drop the controller and barry rolls off of you.

“i’m good at games! great at them! i thought we talked about this, y/n!” you take a minute to catch your breath and watch barry desperately retrieve the joy-con as if his life depended on it.

“barry, you literally only win when we play those mini games-“ something catches your eye when he loops his finger through the joy-con’s wrist strap and the edge of the controller knocks an object out from under the couch.

another red joy-con.

you take a closer look and in midst, catch a glimpse of barry’s ‘oh shit face.’ before he could swipe it back under the couch, you hop off the couch next to him and crouch down, taking a closer look.

It’s burnt, just like the one you confronted barry about it. you pick it up and examine it with your hands. same damage.

“I can explain-“ you cut him off when you begin pushing the couch away. “oh my god, y/n. no, no, no, no!” he dramatically pleas, but barry knows he’s in too deep as what has been his worst kept secret, is finally revealed.

a clutter of broken joy-cons, all red with similar burnt marks and smashed in buttons reveal before you. it must’ve been at least fifty controllers scattered in a pile. at least four thousand dollars’ worth of product. he’s broken a few joy-cons before, which is why you brought it up to him in the first place… but that’s only been four or five times. not over fifty?! you could tell barry was in desperate need in saving money too because you also saw some third-party brands that resembled the joy-cons.

“okay, so… you aren’t going to believe me… but i have these amazing superpow-“

“barry..? w-what the hell?!”

Sunlight shines through the cracks of your blinds, waking you up with a splitting headache.

Stretching your arms out you hit someones back, realizing you aren't alone.

“Huh?” You mumble to yourself, you didn't remember coming home with anybody last night… but wait a second, these were definitely not your bedsheets.

Looking around the room it occurs to you that this was not your home so where the hell were you and who was lying next to you.

The mystery man rolls over and it's none other than Barry Allen.

You hooked up with Barry Allen.

“Morning Y/N,” he mutters and then his eyes fly open, “Y/N?”

“Uh hey Barry,” you say sitting up in his bed, the bedsheets falling around your bare waist.

“I'm confused- what happened last night? And also, are you naked? Why are you naked?” He questions, shooting upright to notice his clothes are also nowhere to be seen, “why am I naked?”

“Guess that special speedster grade alcohol Cisco made really can get you drunk,” you chuckle awkwardly.

Moments from last night start to flash in Barry's mind, from the two of you drunkenly singing karaoke to you having him pinned up against the outside of the bar sloppily making out to clothing being shed as you stumbled through his apartment with your lips on his neck.

“So we-”

“Yep.”

“I'm so sorry Y/N I don't usually do that sort of thing and it's been so long that I've been drunk that I-” he rambles.

You cut him off with a laugh, “Barry it's okay, I don't regret anything that happened.”

“You don't?” He sighs in relief.

“No I don't,” you assure him, “in fact maybe I can borrow your kitchen to make you breakfast and we can talk about if this was a one time thing or if I can possibly take you on a real date sometime?”

Barry smiles, running his hand through his messy hair, “I'd really like that.”

“Great so how many stacks of pancakes do you need to feed that metabolism of yours? 5? 10?” You tease.

“Better make 15 just to be safe,” he jokes.

“15 stacks of pancakes coming up,” you smile, getting out of his bed to look for your pants.

He tries to be a gentleman and not stare at your naked body but damn did you have a great ass.

He really hopes this wasn't going to be a one time thing.

Even after the funeral it never stopped raining. It was almost as if the whole world was mourning too. Losing someone like the Flash was like a punch to the gut. He was loved by his friends, family, even his enemies. But to those closest to him they didn’t just lose a hero. They lost a friend, husband, father, and an uncle. The death of Barry Allen would haunt Y/N for the rest of their life.

They only knew him for the 3 years that Wally and Y/N have been spending together. Wally’s family is big and full of love and took to Y/N in no time. But out of everyone Barry and Iris were the most excited to meet Y/N. They were so warm and Barry just couldn’t seem to stop hugging them. They didn’t mind though, it’s a gesture that is honestly missed.

And the smile that adorned Wally’s face every time they went to visit was infectious. Iris and Barry were his two most favorite people in the world. Y/N took no offense to this because it was easily seen as to why. Wally not only loved his uncle but looked up to him. Y/N has spent countless hours listening to Wally retell his favorite adventures with his uncle. Y/N laughed, cried, and appreciated every energetic story Wally told.

Y/N and Wally went over to the Allen house as much as they could. Especially when the tornado twins were born, it takes a village to raise super kids. The home was such a comfort and filled with so much joyful noise.

But ever since that day, that same home has been plunged into silence. A dark cloud seemed to loom over it as a family was left in shambles. That same cloud seemed to loom over the cozy apartment shared by Y/N and Wally. Ever since the funeral it was almost as if Wally had taken a vow of silence. He shared a beautiful speech that day, one that left everyone in tears. Even Bruce was sniffing by the end of it.

Y/N was very hands-on leading towards the day of the service. Being a pillar of support for the Flash family. Helping Iris with flowers, putting the twins down for naps, squeezing Bart’s shoulder when it was his turn to lay his flowers, and preparing food for after the service. But when it came to Wally, he acted as if he was fine. Like the death of his uncle wasn’t hurting him as bad as it was.

Wally’s eyes always remained straight forward but were also always glassy with unshed tears. Every time Y/N asked Wally if he was alright or needed anything the answer was always a small smile and “I’m fine.” Y/N couldn’t understand why Wally was adamant about appearing alright. Lost in their thoughts Y/N almost didn’t hear the kettle screaming.

Y/N quickly removed it off the flame and placed it to the side. They reached up to the cupboard and looked for two mugs to pour the hot water into. A black mug with a faded Batman symbol for Y/N, and a shiny new Green Lantern mug for Wally

“I need it!” Wally had said one day while the two of them went to the store one time.

Y/N chuckled fondly at the memory but as the teabags steeped the smile fell from their face. Y/N added cream and just about 50 spoonfuls of sugar to Wally’s cup. For them some honey and milk was just fine.

Y/N picked up the mugs and walked over to their shared room. They bumped the door with their hip and entered.

“Here ya go, half tea and half sugar.” As they walked over Wally shimmied up in the bed. Lifting himself up by his elbows Wally watched Y/N place the cup on his nightstand.

“Thanks babe.” Wally smiled but it didn’t reach his eyes.

And Wally’s short response didn’t sit well Y/N as they sipped on their own tea. Thunder rolled and soon lightning followed after it.

Y/N's stomach was rolling with anxiety but they knew it was time. The conversation was going to be uncomfortable but Y/N could see the signs. Wally’s hair was long, uncharacteristically long. He was another week of not shaving away from having a full beard. His eyes were dark and unfocused almost all the time now. Wally’s side of the bed was always warm, because to be quite honest he barely ever leaves it.

And even though Barry’s passing is fresh, the world goes on. People still need saving, so his indicator has been blowing up left and right! Waiting to be answered, but Wally doesn’t. He just left it in a drawer, maybe in an attempt to silence it. And everyday it bleeped and chirped but Wally just wouldn't pick it up. Eventually the battery on the damn thing died. And even after that it stayed in that drawer.

Y/N sighed and that’s when Wally looked up from his mug. Y/N stared at him and Wally must have known what was up because he quickly looked away. Y/N put their mug on their nightstand and jumped up on the bed. Sitting on their knees they cleared their throat as they attempted to start speaking.

“Wall—“I'm fine Y/N.” Y/N blinked owlishly at Wally.

“What?”

“I said I’m fine Y/N.”

Y/N lifted a brow at Wally because it was obviously a lie.

“Ok, the fact that you’re saying that before I could even say something just lets me know that you’re everything but fine!”

Wally seemed to ignore them as he reached over the bed for the remote. Wally placed his mug down and started aimlessly flicking through channels.

Y/N breathed in deeply through their nose and exhaled. Attempting to have some patience with their lover. But they still went ahead and snatched the remote out of Wally’s hand anyway.

“HEY I was watching tha-No you weren’t.” Y/N turned the T.V off and flung the remote to a corner in the room.

“Wally, you are not fine. You keep telling me that but anyone can see that you’re struggling.”

Wally sighed and clenched his eyes tight, laying back down on the bed.

Y/N licked their lips as they continued.

“I know it’s been hard and you’ve done an amazing job taking care of everybody else, but you need to do the same for yourself. You’re hurting, baby.”

Y/N reached for Wally hand lacing their fingers together. Wally’s eyes were still closed but he gave a squeeze letting Y/N know he was still listening.

For a moment they just sat together in silence as the sound of the rain tapping the window filled the room.

“I-shit Y/N I really don’t know what to do.” Wally released Y/N's hand as he sat up in the bed. The blanket pooled around his hips. Wally was shirtless finding comfort in just wearing gray sweats. He pressed his back against the headboard and Y/N copied his position.

Y/N grabbed Wally’s hand again, running their thumb across the freckled skin of it. Wally smiled at the familiar gesture, a small yet noticeable one.

“W-when I decided to retire, part of the reason was because I thought the world wouldn’t really need me.”

Y/N was going to say something but decided to just let Wally continue. He was wanted, not just needed and Y/N wondered if Wally understood that.

“Don’t get me wrong I loved being Kid Flash but I found comfort in the idea that people would still have the flash around to protect them. And B-Barry was so supportive even though he tried to convince me to stay. I wanted to experience normalcy and figure out where Wally started and Kid Flash ended.”

Wally closed his eyes, taking a shuddering breath.

“I just thought that well Barry’s got it! He was the Flash way before I was KF so he should be fine when I’m gone! I just-“

Wally suddenly threw his head in his hands. A sob escaped his throat and his whole body shook.

Y/N rubbed the back of Wally’s neck and ran their fingers through red locks of hair.

“It’s okay, it’s gonna be okay Wally, just breathe.” Y/N cooed to Wally trying their best to comfort him. It broke their heart to see Wally like this but he needed to do this. Y/N knew that Wally had to let all of this out one way or the other.

And there’s no better way to release grief other than having a good cry. Of course the pain would still be there but this is just a step that has to be taken in order to make it more manageable.

After a few more shuddering breaths Wally looked up at Y/N. He plopped his head on their shoulder and Y/N leaned over to kiss Wally’s forehead.

“I just never thought that in a million years that I would lose him. It was like I just blinked, and he was gone. And now there’s no hero to protect and represent Central City. Sure Jay and Bart could step up to the plate but, I know it’s me.”

Wally sat up and looked Y/N directly in their eyes.

“It has to be me, doesn’t it?”

Wally stated in a whisper almost as if he was telling Y/N a secret.

And Y/N saw something new in Wally’s eyes since the funeral. A shimmer of light but there was also something very prominent in those eyes, and it was fear.

Y/N swiped some of Wally’s hair behind his ears and cradled his face in their hands.

“The world still needs heroes Wally, and right now Central City needs you now more than ever.”

Wally closed his eyes but stayed still in Y/N's embrace.

“But I’m not ready, I mean hell I haven’t even been training lately!” Wally exclaimed some of that humor starting to peek through.

“So we’ll get you ready!” Y/N chuckled. You’re not gonna be alone, I’m gonna be right here with you every step of the way! Wally West, if there is anyone in this world who can be The Flash, it is you!”

Y/N released Wally’s face and stared at him with an intensity in their (e/c) eyes.

“Iris, Bart, Jay, Joan, and Barry Wally we all believe in you and it’s time for you to believe in yourself too. You can do this, I know you can!”

And just like that light behind Wally’s eyes bursted. As if all his energy came back full force. Wally jumped and embraced Y/N squeezing them tightly. The hug knocked Y/N off balance sending the two toppling over the bed.

Wally was plastering kisses wherever he could on Y/N neck and face. Y/N giggled at the action especially because of Wally’s new facial hair tickling them. Wally’s heart swelled at the sound, realizing it had been a long time since he'd heard it.

Wally finally stopped his assault as he sat up to look down at Y/N. This is why Wally loved them so much. Even at his absolute lowest Y/N not only stayed by his side but somehow managed to help Wally get his spark back.

Y/N cracked their eyes open to look at Wally. His now long curly hair framed his face and his smile was finally reaching his eyes again. Wally looked absolutely beautiful.

Wally leaned down and placed a kiss on Y/N lips. Y/N reached up and wrapped their arms around Wally’s neck. Wally placed his hands on Y/N’s waist and lifted the two of them up, placing Y/N in his lap.

The two finally separated trying to catch their breath.

For a moment Wally and Y/N sat in silence just enjoying the others presence. Wally finally broke the silence when he asked Y/N a question.

“Y/N do you..really think I can do this?” Wally’s brows were furrowed in uncertainty.

Y/N placed a small kiss on Wally’s cheek and then a tender one on his lips.

“Babe, I know you can do this.”

Wally’s smirk morphed into a hug smile and he embraced Y/N once more. But abruptly he stood up and sped over to the nightstand that held his communicator.

“I should uh probably go charge this.” Wally smiled sheepishly as he pressed some buttons on the communicator.

Y/N stood up and padded over to the bathroom. In there they rummaged under the sink. When they returned they had a pair of scissors and some hair clippers in their hand.

Wally whirled around in confusion but then ran his hand through his hair. And an expression of realization dawned his face. Wally also rubbed his face and raised an eyebrow.

“Uhh do we have any more razors in there?”

Y/N laughed as they went back to the bathroom. Their heart swelled because even though there was still more work to be done, they were getting their Wally back. And Central City was getting their hero back.

As Wally started cutting his hair in the mirror Y/N looked over towards the window. The rain had finally stopped.

Subway Glances

Barry Allen x GN!Reader Word Count: 441 Warnings: none A/N: I came up with this in a dream

The motion of the subway after a long day could null even the most stubborn of insomniacs to sleep. Your day seemed like it was never going to end and just as you were about to finally drift off you heard someone from the subway station shouting out “Wait, please hold the door!” You were so tempted to just turn your head and ignore the stranger but the good person in your soul won. You sat up and held open the subway door to prevent it from closing. The stranger plowed through the door, leaving a harsh breeze in his wake. You removed your hand and slouched back down in your seat to try and fall asleep again. Right as you were about to shut your eyes again the stranger spoke. “Thanks so much for grabbing that door for me, I don’t think I would’ve made it otherwise.” You sighed. Of course he was a talker. You opened your eyes and your mouth at the same time. “It was no problem, really.” Only then did you get a good look at the stranger. Your mouth opened just a small bit before you realized and quickly snapped it shut. Oh man, he was attractive. Hot but not overwhelmingly so, kind eyes, a smile that could melt even the most icy of hearts. Suddenly you didn’t feel so tired.

You pulled out your phone and pretended to be interested in some article you were reading, sneaking glances at him every so often. He would occasionally look up at the same time and would smile at you. Every time you would blush and look back at your phone, glancing up every couple seconds to see when he had stopped looking at you so you could go back to staring at him uninterrupted. When the speakers in the ceiling of the subway beeped and chirped out the stop your shoulders fell just a small bit as you saw the stranger gather his things. Right as he went to pass you a piece of paper fell in your lap. You saw the beginnings of a phone number and bit your lip as your face broke out into a grin. You turned to look out at the retreating stranger and you saw him looking back at you. He looked up and gave you a dorky smile. You waved and right as the doors began to shut he shouted out, “My names Barry and I think you're really cute.” your shoulders began to shake with silent laughter before you slipped the number into your bag. Sometimes long days are worth it when there's rewards at the finish line.

your lightning is orange like barry’s, which your siblings are kinda jealous of, but they also like the uniqueness of their own respective colors

iris is so protective of you, you’re her little baby (“i’m seventeen mom, not seven.” “i know, i know, but i love you” “love you, too”)

you absolutely idolize caitlin and frost (they absolutely adore you, to the point where they even let you get away with calling caitlin “caity”)

bart is your annoying, bad influence older brother. much to your parents’ and team flash’s chagrin, he loves challenging you to races (even tho he usually lets you win, especially when you’re feeling down), and the two of you have been known to run off to national city and gotham to visit the other teams (the other teams love it tho, and kara is absolutely your hero)

nora is your best friend, she loves teaching you about your speed and abilities (to the point where barry even gets jealous)

speaking of barry… he’s your favorite person in the world. like your dad is a total sap, everyone knows that, but when it comes to you… he just doesn’t wanna let you out of his sight - especially when there’s a threat to central city.

it was a complete shock (no pun intended) to everyone when he was the first person to 1) suggest showing you the ropes of living life as a superhero speedster, and 2) actually begin showing you the ropes.

barry, chester, and cisco also teamed up to even make your suit, and even though your siblings wanted nothing more than to make their own way into the life of superheroism, you were more than content with following directly in barry’s footsteps (sans the whole… mom dying, dad going to prison, getting struck by lightning and being put into a nine-month-long coma)

being a teenage superhero is definitely hard, but you have 4+ teams of superheroes that have your back, it’s pretty crash.
