Everyone seemed to be able to tell you were in a bad mood aside from Jungkook. Not surprising at all though since your boyfriend doesn’t pay attention to you when she’s around. Like now he’s too busy playing some drinking game with her while you sulk around on the couch scrolling through your phone.

They all say he loves you but you doubt it. And you’re kind of over second guessing if he does. Honestly, you’re not even the jealous type. He can be friends with as many girls as he wants but clearly he’s too blind to see when they have feelings for him. So he’ll pay attention to them without realizing that she’s smirking at you because she’s basically taken your boyfriend. You’re done being jealous, if he wants to only focus on her that’s fine.

You’re not going to beg. You’re not going to call them out. You’re not an angry jealous, you’re a hurt jealous because now all you think about is that he’s reciprocating her feelings and he’s over you. So you’re just not going to try anymore, especially not when you see her pull him into a hug where she wants to wrap her legs around him.

“Alright, I'm gonna head out,” Yoongi said to you as he made his rounds of goodbyes to his friends. He was dapping you up like a bro as he said goodbye but you stood up quickly, “Can you take me home?”

He gave you a strange look glancing over to where Mina dragged Jungkook into a game of King’s Cup, “What about Jungkook.”

“He’s busy,” you said with a shrug trying to ignore the look of sympathy from him. Clearly everyone could see that she liked him and that Jungkook just went along despite you being his girlfriend. It’s not like this is the first time it’s happened, clueless or not he’s ditching you for her time and time again. Yoongi gave in, nodding with his head to the door and it was probably the best thing to happen all night. You got up happily not bothering with any goodbyes and left the party.

Jungkook was tired out. Mina wanted to keep playing drinking games but he couldn’t anymore. He just wanted to sit and hold his girlfriend or dance. He looked around the party for you when his brows furrowed. He waited around a bit to see if you’d gone to the bathroom but after some time he had gotten a little anxious. He went to his closest friend, “Have you seen Y/n?”

“She left,” Taehyung said not even looking at him and instead faced Jimin. Jungkook felt his heart begin to race, “What do you mean Y/n left? When? With who?”

“Yoongi.”

Jungkook’s lips parted in disbelief, “With Yoongi? Why?”

“You’re her boyfriend, why don’t you tell us?” Jimin asked suddenly cutting in. Jungkook stared down at him in confusion, “What d—“

“Jungkook! I’ve been looking for you. They’re about to play spin the bottle, let’s go,” Mina shouted at him and he missed the way his two friends rolled their eyes. Jungkook shook his head, “I’m sort of busy right now. I’m gonna call Y/n.”

Jimin and Taehyung made a move to leave as Mina spoke up again, smirk on her face, “What happened? Doesn’t she let you have a little fun? I’m sure she’s not worried.”

Jungkook sighed, “Still, I’m gonna call her. I’ll be back.”

Jungkook dismissed himself going to find somewhere more quiet as he called you. If you wanted to leave why didn’t you just ask him? He assumed you had been having fun since you didn’t go with him at all tonight and now you’ve left? Makes no sense. He waited for the beeps to end and the line to connect but it didn’t. It ended with a voicemail and it left him even more confused, so he called again, and again he was left on voicemail.

With a huff in annoyances he dialed Yoongi’s number, who did happen to answer, “Hello?”

“Are you still with Y/n? She’s not answering my calls,” Jungkook asked feeling around his pockets for his keys. He’ll just go see you. It was quiet for a second but he could hear a faint whisper in the background before Yoongi said, “I just dropped her off.”

Jungkook didn’t believe that. He could’ve sworn he just heard you in the back, “Really? Do you know why she’s not answering my calls?”

“Nope, as her boyfriend shouldn’t you know that?” Yoongi asked and Jungkook stopped moving. “I mean, yeah but I was with Mina so I didn’t get a chance to see her and n—ohhhhhh.”

Yoongi nodded though Jungkook couldn’t see him, “Yeahhhh. I’ve gotta go, alright?”

Jungkook didn’t say anything as the phone clicked. He had his keys in his hands now when a hand went to his arm, “Are you leaving? Perfect, you can take me home.”

“Sorry I’m going to Y/n’s place,” Jungkook said with a sigh and she rolled her eyes. “You don’t sound too happy about that, plus I’m on the way. Or does she not want you friends with me?”

“What?” Jungkook asked now with confusion before he shook his head, “Y/n doesn’t care who I’m friends with. And sorry but you’re gonna have to ride with someone else, I’m gonna see her now.”

“Jun—“ he left.

Were you mad at him or something? It’s fine, he’ll just ask when he gets to your place, but he couldn’t. Not when you ignored him buzzing to be let up and when he texted and called all you said was that you were going to sleep. So he texted Goodnight saying he loved you and you never responded.

The next day he sent you a good morning text that you responded to. He asked if you wanted to go to brunch and then do some shopping but you said no. When he asked why you didn’t respond. Around dinner he sent another text.

jungkook<3: wanna get dinner and watch a movie? I’m starving

y/n: I already ate

jungkook: wanna watch a movie then?

y/n: I’m tired

y/n: I’m sure Mina would say yes :)

jungkook: I don’t wanna watch It with her. I wanna see it with you :(

And you didn’t respond.

He decided he’d just see you Monday, maybe you weren’t feeling good and not even your boyfriend could make you feel better. Right? Yeah, that’s probably it.

Except on Monday you didn’t respond to him when he asked if he was picking you up along with Mina. So he had to find you after your first class, “Y/n.”

It took you a second to even look at him and he can’t lie and say that didn’t hurt. What was wrong was he seriously the reason you’re upset? Did he do something? He wanted to find you before class but Mina made him late so he had to go straight to his own class with her and she followed him to find you.

You weren’t at all surprised to see Mina behind him when he called out to you and it made you wanna roll your eyes. It hurt your feelings and honestly if he was going to be so open with how he feels for her then he should just date her instead. But you weren’t going to give them the satisfaction of being jealous, “Hey.”

He gave you a hug leaning down to kiss you but you turned your head before he could meet your lips and instead he got your hair which had him spitting out a strand in surprise. Well, okay. He tried to smile, “So where does my baby want to go for lunch?”

“Yeah Y/n, where we going?” Mina chimed on and it was getting very hard for you to ignore her. Maybe you should just break up with him. It’d make things easier for everyone involved. He can date her like he wants to and you can stop feeling like you have to compete for your boyfriend’s attention when you’re clearly not winning. You checked the time on your phone, “I’ve got a study session to get to. You guys go ahead.”

“Alright, where do you wanna go? Or can I choose?” Mina jumped at the opportunity before you had even left. You rolled your eyes now that your back was turned and left before Jungkook could respond to her. You didn’t want to hear what he’d say.

He thought about you all day. Literally, all day. There was not a single moment he wasn’t wondering about his girlfriend. Why were you upset—with him?

The next day felt pretty similar but he did get a kiss out of you. It was tender and sweet yet you still felt distant. Like, though you enjoyed the kiss, you were happy to pull away. It made him panic, not full blown panic, but definitely let his mind run rampant. He has to get you talk to him. Text him more. Just something. He texts you good morning and you respond but when he tries to deepen the conversation suddenly you don’t respond for hours. Hours!?

Its been five days of this and he’s really starting to worry. Clearly he did something wrong because you’re only distant with him. He sees you smiling with the others, his own friends too. Yet you can’t muster up one of those passive smiles that don’t really hold meaning. He’s tried giving you space thinking maybe you’re not feeling well, you’re not usually in the best mood when something is off. But what did he do?

Jungkook’s brows furrowed staring at the texts. What is she even talking about? Then suddenly, it dawned on him. How he had been so clueless, so blind? Who knows. Who fucking knows! Oh my god he seriously thought they were just friends. No, they are friends but apparently that wasn’t Mina’s full agenda. All those times she’s come out with the guys, joke around about something stupid with him, and give genuine advice over how to make you happy. [rue bennet—‘all those times cassie consoled her, comforted her…none of it was real.]

No wonder everyone has been awkward around him. No wonder he’s found you hanging out with his own friends more than him. No wonder lately it feels like Mina’s asked him and him alone to hang out. NO WONDER WHY YOU WON’T FUCKING TALK TO HIM.

He began thinking of a plan. An apology wouldn’t be enough, he knows that. He’s made you feel awful and it kills him to know he couldn’t even realize it. He wished he understood your silence when Mina was around, instead of assuming you were shy. The times Mina would be hanging off him as his girlfriend stands somewhere else and he was too dumb to see.

He showed up at your place the next day. It was late and he knew it was late but he had just gotten off work and after you avoiding him around campus, he didn’t see you till now. He called you that he was outside and with little time to make an excuse you let him up.

“I’m sorry,” was the first thing he said when the door opened, “I’ve been a shitty boyfriend and I’m so fucking sorry.”

“Jungkook, It’s late, I’m tired—“ “Please Y/n, please, I miss you. I miss you so much and I don’t like this distance between us.”

This time you couldn’t bite your tongue, “I thought Mina was filling it up pretty well for you. So just cut the bullshit.”

“Babe, it has never even been like that with Mina—“

“Well you could’ve fooled me,” you weren’t going to bottle it in. It’s been days and it took him this long? “You spend so much time with her and she pretty much acts the part.”

“But you’re my girlfriend, not her, not anyone else. I promise I’m done being friends with her. I won’t even talk to any and other gi—“

“What’s that gonna do?” You asked, “Do you think I want my boyfriend to do that? Because that’s not what I want. I don’t care who you’re friends with. I care about how you act and how you’ve pretty much left me for her time and time again.”

“Please, it’s not that at all. I thought she just wanted to be friends. I really did and if you just told me you felt this way I would’ve never done anything to upset you.”

“I don’t need to tell you!” You groaned, “I don’t need to beg you to pay attention to me. I’m not asking for a lot and honestly if you couldn’t figure that out on your own then maybe this doesn’t work anymore.”

“What?” He swears his heart dropped to his feet, “What do you mean?”

“I mean, I’m tired and I’m not in the mood to talk about this.”

That wasn’t an answer, but it was also answer enough that you slammed your bedroom door in his face where he heard the click and you shut yourself in. He took a few jagged breaths, he couldn’t even bring himself to knock. You were definitely not in the mood and whatever else he says will just further ruin everything. So he sat on your couch and waited in thought.

By morning you were more exhausted than last night. You basically dragged your body out of bed in need of coffee before started anything. It was early, way too early and as you left your room, you stopped. Jungkook was in a sitting position on your couch, phone in his limp hands, head fallen forward and in deep sleep. He slept on your couch? Sitting up? You’ll admit it’s weird to see your boyfriend sleep anywhere but your bed. You went to wake him, not able to stop yourself from brushing his hair up.

He woke up with a gentle sigh at your touch, head turning up to look at you, “You’re right.”

“I didn’t prioritize you when I should have and I’m so sorry,” it was too early for this but you couldn’t bring it in you to stop him. “If you just give me one more chance, I won’t ever make you doubt our relationship. Please just don’t say this doesn’t work anymore because I really don’t want to break up. I love you.”

You took a deep inhale and exhale in concentration. You weren’t sure what to say, honestly, so instead you stood between his legs and left him hug you. “I know.”

“No, you don’t know how much I love you Y/n. I never stop thinking about you no matter who I’m with,” he confessed to the most honest thing he can, “And it kills me that I haven’t shown you just how much and treated you like you deserve to be treated.”

“Jungkook, it’s early, we’ve got class, we’ll talk later,” you told him as he stood now. He wanted to object and ask to talk now but he shouldn’t. He needs to approach then when you want to do it. He'll be patient. He just has to show you through actions and not just words.

It was later in the day when he saw you again. During lunch he joined you in the lunch room and when Mina came up he was quick, “l’m having lunch with Y/n today.”

“That’s fine,” Mina said with a smile that said she wasn’t getting the hint, “I don’t mind.”

“I mind,” Jungkook cut in, “And I’m telling you I’m eating with my girlfriend. Alone.”

You both had the same expression of confusion and surprise. You’ve never heard him talk in that tone ever, or at least not around you. Jungkook motioned to an empty table and you started walking over, just leaving Mina behind. You felt awkward. From what he said this morning you know he wouldn’t leave you for Mina but you were still mad and yet you felt bad for doubting him. It was just so complicated but Jungkook didn’t press you for more. Aside from that short talk with Mina, he was relevantly quiet. He just sat next to you and did little things. For instance, he just split the perilla leaf with you. You’d understand the gesture and how much it meant to him. How serious he took it despite how silly you think it is.

He started hanging out with other friends instead of Mina. He made more time for you because he genuinely loves spending time with you. You’ve opened up to him more too, not just bottling things up and expressing yourself. And he listened. He adores you, he really does and he should’ve showed it to you sooner. He’s not dumb enough to make the same mistake twice. He’s going to appreciate you for everything you are and never instill that sort of mistrust in your relationship again.

“By protecting you mean protecting d/n” Sero teased. “I didn’t know you had a pet bakugou how old is he?” Mina smiled as she asked. “SHE is 5 and a half months old” bakugou corrected her. “What breed is she?” The interviewer asks. “She is a Pomeranian” bakugou answered. “AWW THATS SO CUTE” the audience cooed. “Oh you know what’s funny how he has a pet Pomeranian and we call him and angry Pomeranian” Denki chuckled. “O my gosh haha your right” Sero laughed with him.

The bakusquad were playing uno at bakugou’s house. But with a twist multiple twists. Every blank card was a truth or dare card on who ever the person chose to do a dare or tell the truth. And if they didn’t want to do either of the two then they had to draw 4 cards.

Bakugou had 2 cards left almost had uno. Until Denki decides to pull that stupid card on him. “What dunceface” bakugou rolled his eyes as he looked up at Denki who was cheesing so hard him. “I dare you to let me do your make up.” Bakugou gave him a “I really hate you right now” look. Denki gave him a “you know you love me” look back at him. “Fine” bakugou not wanting to lose agreed.

So reader really isn’t that unusual.... except their quirk makes them popular with teachers and students. Stressed for finals? Go to reader. Can’t make your students chill? Ask reader to stop by. Reader’s quirk makes everyone calm, loopy, less angry and vicious.

When they get into UA, everyone’s curious about how it feels, curious about the kid that would’ve probably been better suited in class B or in a support class. 

The bakusquad is especially intrigued, because the applications of reader’s quirk could be awesome for a little problem of theirs that screams and yells and destroys things. 

So at the beginning of the semester, reader hears a couple knocks at their door, opens it only to have the bakusquad practically fall inside, complete with a very irate Bakugou.

Denki and Sero propose the idea that reader uses their quirk, helps everyone calm down a bit (we all know Sero’s a stoner, he’s here for the feeling lol). Reader makes sure everybody is down with it, even Kirishima and Bakugou, and when the other two boys nod, reader agrees. 

The air in the room would instantly turn sickly-sweet as liquid oozed from reader’s skin, quickly evaporating into a vapor. The affect was almost instantaneous - shoulders sagging, muscles relaxing, soft smiles playing against faces.

Usually reader wears a masks so their quirk doesn’t effect them, but here, in the safety of the dorms? it’s not needed. They get just as relaxed and loopy as the group squished into the small room.

But apparently, relaxing isn’t the best idea. 

Some people get so relaxed that their inhibitions disappear, similar to alcohol, just without the loss of fine motor control. Denki is one of those people. He sidles up next to reader, runs his hands over their shoulders until he’s pressed against their side. He leans in close, giggles into their ear about how calm he feels right now, how useful their quirk is. 

He’s naturally flirty, so it’s not alarming when he starts like, stroking their hair, holding their hand, practically falling into their lap, complimenting them the entire time, shooting off rapid-fire pick-up-lines like it’s his job. Sero, Kirishima, and Bakugou are lazing in the background, watching the blond drape himself over you.

The pick-up lines devolve into lewd questions, Denki asking what your bodycount is, have you ever blown someone, what's your favorite position? This is a safe environment, and your relaxed, so you don’t mind answering.

Even when he asks what you look like “down there”.

It’s a semi-common question. A lot of people wonder if the pink color of your skin extends to your genitals, if your pubes are pink as well. Your body is alien, do you even have genitals? What kind? Are you a boy? Or a girl? It’s easy to laugh and brush off these invasive questions.

Villain!Hanta Sero Headcanons

Hanta is definitely not someone you want on your bad side. The young man seems to be all goofy smiles and lackadaisy, but beneath it all, there’s a fierce, roaring tenacity oh-so-carefully subdued... So what were to happen if this unbridled pride and ferociousness were to be focused on nefarious means?

First, we have to address what could steer Hanta to villainy. Honestly? I can think of one thing and one thing only: Denki dying right in front of him. 

Hear me out here; it’s clear that these two are best buds, peas in a pod, close as brothers. Hanta would become unhinged if his best friend were to tragically lose his life, especially as a result of the great war waging between heroes and villains right now. Hanta wouldn’t be able to cope with the idea that heroes are just expendables mean to an end, tools for the governing body to impose their senses of justice on the masses. 

Hanta’s mind would literally shatter and he’d spiral into an uncontrollable bloody rage. When he'd wake up, he’d be far away, soaked in blood- no idea who’s. There were a lot of things he wouldn’t know at the moment, aside from two things: he couldn’t go back now, and he didn’t want to. 

Hanta would stay underground for a while. His friends would come looking for him, of course, trying to talk reason and drag him back while he still had the chance for redemption, but he’d avoid them. They were his friends once, after all, and he doesn’t want to fight them. Eventually, he’d half-heartedly spar with them, trying to convince them of his way of thinking. When it’s clear to him that he can’t change their minds, Hanta decides that they’re too far gone, and he has to save them from this life of corruption. If they die in his efforts, well... Sacrifices have to be made for the greater good, right?

Mina takes it the hardest. She makes it her personal mission to seek him out and either reform him or destroy him. It’d get to the point of self-destructive because she’d come at Hanta staggering on her feet only barely conscious, dripping blood all over the melted pavement. Always, Eijirou and Katsuki would swoop in for the rescue, and it always makes Hanta think that maybe if he’d just gotten to Denki a little bit faster, things wouldn’t have turned out this way. But they did, and Hanta had to live with that. 

 His new ideology, the painful weight of his own failure, and the burden of “saving” his friends slowly would drive Hanta insane. He’d grow bolder, actively seeking out small-time heroes and trainees for unprovoked fights, and critically injuring many. He wouldn’t kill them if he can help it; that’s not the point. He wants them to live, to see how they’re just thrown to the side as broken tools by an uncaring state. He wants them to feel how he felt when he was told to abandon Denki’s lifeless body and keep fighting... Like his best friend was just trash in the way. 

Hanta’s always been a personable, charismatic guy, so attracting a group of like-minded fellows is honestly a cakewalk. Once the news gets clips of him spouting his revolutionary drivel on the air, they come flocking out of the shadows. Hanta would interview them to ensure that their ideologies aligned; he couldn’t have blood-thirsty maniacs tarnishing the name of his political crusade, now. If they fall short of his expectations, he'll them on the spot. Just because he wants the downfall of the current hero society didn’t mean he wants the more radical, chaotic villains to run amok. 

Campaigning a political upheaval requires a lot of funds. Hanta finds his niche in smuggling contraband, specifically hard drugs like cocaine and heroin. The secondary violence surrounding such an enterprise is unfortunate, but he abhorrs the idea of smuggling weapons or engaging in human trafficking because he still has some shred of regard for human life. At least, that’s what he tells himself when he looks in the mirror, finding that the grinning, light-hearted boy Denki respected so much has morphed into the hard, unforgiving grimace of a criminal. 

Hanta’s business enterprise evolves into a massive syndicate. He becomes one of the world’s most wanted, having to constantly dodge Interpol, pro heroes, and the Japanese military and police. Within a decade of watching his friend die in his arms and being cast aside like his sacrifice meant nothing, Hanta eventually is good and ready to take on the world as they know it with nothing but a charming grin, a silver tongue, and an army to back him. That means taking on the cohort of top pro heroes that he’d once called comrades, but hey, it’s just all in how the cookie crumbles, now isn’t it? 

The world let his best friend die, and Hanta just isn’t going to stop until he saw it burn to ashes, or he dies trying.

Personality: the first thing people notice about me is that I am less of a feeler and more of a thinker. I do have an IQ of 125, but my emotional intelligence is quite low, so I have trouble sympathizing with others. But I learned through experience, so I don’t SEEM emotionless. I can (and will) help my friends through tough times if they need me. I’m pragmatic, so I always go for the facts instead of the feelings during decision making or tough situations. I hold a lot of perfectionist traits that make it really hard for me to be satisfied with my results if they aren’t higher than the norm. I also have a slight issue with saying no, so sometimes I’ll offer my help or enrol myself in long-term projects while knowing I legit do not have time for more stuff on my schedule. Being a bit smarter than average, I sometimes feel like I’m obligated to help others so that they can do good too (however, I do like helping people with their hw to a certain extent). I’m working on those issues though!! I’m also an introvert, and I can get rlly tired if I have to be interacting for more than four hours straight with people, especially if their persona isn’t rlly compatible with mine.

However, when I’m surrounded by friends (or generally people who aren’t my superiors), I’m very energetic, loud, silly and I have a sharp tongue. I’m also insanely competitive, like someone please stop me?? My sense of humour goes from absolute nonsense to almost mean spirited sarcasm, but it all depends on who I’m talking to. I’m a MAJOR memer, I have a bunch of files filled with them, and I couldn’t bear be with people who didn’t understand my meme references. When I start liking something, I can get easily obsessed. I’m stubborn, therefore very passionate about the things I care about. I also have a slight case of the Endorphin Junkie, meaning that I really, really like the high you get after sports so I do crossfit training like five to six times a week. I’m unapologetically myself, and I will not ever change who I am to fit within the norm. I’m sometimes told that (that I’m odd, I mean), but I usually thank the people who tell me. I have a really, really big love for music and I have a tendency to break into song sometimes when people say a line from a song I know. I also cry sometimes when music gets really good ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ whoops

Appearance: I’m around 5’6”, with hazel eyes and brown hair that goes around to my shoulders. It gets curly out of nowhere. I can either wake up with straight hair or wake up with a freakin perm, it’s funny. My body isn’t exactly the lean type, I’m somewhere around the buff area of the scale instead, but as long as I seem visibly strong, I’m satisfied. When I’m not going anywhere significant, I usually just wear sport shirts and sweats, but I have a penchant for Dark Academia so I like /looking/ like I’m smart sometimes. And I have glasses bc apparently my eyes are assholes and they work too hard and it hurts my brain all the time

Truth or dare gone wrong

The class 1-A were all gathered in their common room, even Bakugou was present. The class was having a truth or dare session, it seemed interesting. “Sero, my man! Truth or dare?” Denki asked as he looked at Sero. “Truth! I choose truth,” Sero said. “Who have you been talking on the phone to this past weeks? The one I keep hearing is my pumpkin?” Denki asked. Sero’s face then turned a light shade of pink. “O-Oh- ummm,” He started as he looked away. “Does our Cellophane have a girlfriend?” Mina teased as she poked Sero. “Y-Yeah,” He stuttered. “OI THAT’S NOT FAIR?!? WHY CAN YOU HAVE A GIRL BUT I CAN’T,” Denki sulked as he placed his head on the table. “If you weren’t such a perv then maybe you can get one!” Hakagure responded.

“Don’t be shy. Tell us more,” Mina said. Sero’s blush darkened and he looked away. “We are playing truth or dare! It’s my turn to ask,” Sero then said. “Actually, I am quite curious as well. We can always continue later,” Momo said as she smiled. Everyone agreed and they then looked at the nervous male. “C’mon now guys, this is unfair,” Sero said as he looked at everyone. “But you have a girl and we want tea,” Mina then said as she sat in front of him. “I- um, you guys really want to know about her, huh?” Sero said as he chuckled. Everyone nodded and stared at Sero intently. “Just tell us already, Soy sauce,” Bakugou growled as he glared at Sero. “Don’t listen to him, bro. He is just jealous,” Kirishima said. “WHAT-“ Bakugou was about to counter but was silenced. “Fine! Fine! You got me in a corner,” Sero then said as he chuckled. “She should be coming here,” He added as he looked at the door. “Three, two, one,” He then said as he pointed to the door.

“Hello, is Sero Hanta here?”A feminine voice said. “ARE YOU A PSYCHIC?” Denki said as he looked surprised. “I’m right here pumpkin!” Sero then said as he smirked. His nervousness melted away as he saw the 5’6ft girl. It was his girlfriend, Eve, and he was overjoyed. “Hey there babe!” She then said as she smiled. “DANG YOU GOT A FINE LADY!” Denki then yelled as he checked her out. “Keep your eyes above for I’ll gorge them out,” Eve then said as she glared at Denki. Soon enough, Mineta tried to touch her as well but his efforts were at vain. Sero used his tape as to stop Mineta from getting closer. And Eve kicked him away, far away from her. “Get your filthy hands away from her,” Sero said as he stood up. He then wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead. “Woah, that was so manly!” Kirishima said as he smiled.

“GIRLS! GET HER-“ Mina said as she tackled the girl. They didn’t fall down but Mina was laughing and hugging her. “Girl! How long have you been together?” Mina asked as she pulled away. Eve was a bit uncomfortable but she merely had a stoic face. “A few weeks,” She responded bluntly. And soon enough, the truth or dare session was forgotten. It was replace with the class 1-A trying to pry out the tea from the couple. Did they succeed? No, not really. Though the class seemed to love Eve and her antics. The class even tried to make them forget about the date they have planned. But either way, Sero and Eve got manage to get away to have their small movie date at his room.

Star Tear AU - Alt. Timeline: Todoroki ver. [Part 1]

This is an AU I wrote on the todomomo discord server eons ago. Anything posted to this blog will be transcripts of old original work and not really edited, save for formatting. I have no guarantees if I will ever finish these AUs either so these will only be kept as an archive.

Star tears in which Todoroki falls for Momo first.

shortly after the exam with Aizawa he doesn’t know what he’s feeling but just admires her strength and quick thinking

and him hanging out with Deku and Iida at lunch means Todo hears all the nice and good things Momo does when she and Iida to discuss class prez stuff

which intensifies this ??admiration?? and respect more

and he just?? Holds onto those feelings unable to figure out what they are until idk maybe holidays where 1A and 1B throw that holiday hotpot party

and Momos really cute lookin’ in that Santa hat she made with the festive turtleneck

and so that feeling inside Todo grows into something more??? bc "oh shit she cute".... and Todo’s blushing while looking at her from afar. Probably.

so Todo talks to Fuyumi abt it and Fuyumi’s like: “I think you like her Shouto”

and he writes to his mom abt it and Rei's like: “she sounds like a lovely girl Shouto”

and he texts Natsuo abt it and Natsu's like: “aw little bro has a crush”

but all the while this is happening, Momo's gotten closer with Iida over class prez stuff and hero stuff and everyone in 1A (read: mina and hagakure) think iimomo might be a thing???

ofc Momo denies it and making excuses politely like "no no ofc not we're being responsible class prez and vice prez" but she’s kinda stuttery while doing so, so no one buys it

and no ones brave enough to ask Iida except Ochako but he gives some straight laced answer like "i admire her work ethic and respect her as a hero and vice prez" but he also has some tint of blush across his cheeks

so idk fast forward to graduation where Todo's been holding onto these feelings for Momo since first year and iimomo is still very very likely

so its all cherry blossom petals flying around and congratulatory celebrations

and when Todo sees Momo amongst the sakura trees smiling like he's never seen before (bc they're finally officially heroes!!) he thinks she’s beautiful

but just as he's about to approach her, Iida approaches her and Todo can see she's blushing and he knows its really not good to eavesdrop on one of his best friends and the girl he likes

But... he's curious.

or so he lies to himself.

Ofc what he hears isnt what he ever wants to,,,,

cuz Iida just confessed to her.

and she feels the same.

and a star tear slips from Todo's eye as he walks away.

he stops mid step as he touches his cheek bc he didnt even realize he was crying

but what are these tears??? What’s happening?? He's never had these before bc even though Todo is an emotional crier, he doesn’t cry that often.. only when he is completely overwhelmed with emotion

so he has this dumbfounded expression staring at his fingers as these star tears are twinkling out of his eyes catching sunlight and sakura petals

until he hears "Youre a fucking idiot" from a few steps away

Bakugou. 

(Baku really likes eavesdropping ok its not the first time lol)

Baku: theyre called star tears.

Todo: You know what these are?

Baku: it happens when you like someone and that person doesnt like you back, idiot.

Todo: ... oh.

Baku: get that shit sorted or you'll go blind

(And for those who are curious, yes maaaayyybe Bakugou has a case of the stars in this timeline too, that’s how he knows. To whom? I'll let you decide bc honestly, I just want todobaku brotp bonding over unrequited love)

so now Todo thinks he might be fucked. One of his best friends confessed to the girl he likes too and she likes him back and now Todo has this disease that might make him go blind and might get in the way of heroing (which they've all secured post graduation positions by now) and what can he do about it?

nothing, says the doctor he sees. The disease is not curable and the only way to stop it is to have your feelings returned else you'll go colour blind and then completely blind, so he's told.

ya he's really fucked.

maybe its a good thing then, that he doesnt cry often. It makes it easier to ice over these feelings, freeze them in time with the memories of U.A.; of his last congratulations to her and her smile at the end of the ceremony an hour after he overheard that confession

maybe its another good thing that right after graduation, everyone went off to their own positions as side kicks with agencies across japan, focusing on heroing

but its 3 months after graduation that Iida tells Deku and Todoroki that he is seeing Momo when they meet up every Friday to catch up

its 6 months after graduation that its publicly announced in Hero Magazine that Ingenium and Creati are dating

its 9 months after graduation that he sees Iida and Momo attending the Hero Association's rising stars gala as a couple and are seated at the same table as them

(Bakugou is scowling at him across the table.)

Todo tries. He really does. To be happy for them.

but he's angry at himself that he can't be happy for them. That it saddens him to see Momo glowing under the ballroom lights but its not himself to make her shine like that, its Iida. That he sees she is the one to make Iida genuinely happy in the way his eyes light up when he smiles at her.

and all three times Todo goes home, lies down alone in his room, an arm slung across his forehead as the star tears leak from his eyes.

he starts to lose seeing colour at 12 months.

after 24 months he needs glasses for colour correction (and ironically gets a sponsorship with the brand. The fashion magazines print headlines for weeks "Hot-Cold Hero Shouto Fall Fashion! See page 7 spread for his newest spotted specks and turtle necks")

at 36 months Iida breaks the news. Iida's gonna propose to Yaoyorozu and wants him, Deku, and his brother to be his groomsmen

she said yes.

and a part of Todo washes away with the star tears flooding him room and twinkling against the tatami.

he tries to stay out of the wedding planning as much as possible. He'll go to the tuxedo fittings as requested and still keep up hearing the updates when seeing Iida and Deku for their weekly get together on Friday nights. 

But for anything involving Momo's presence, there will always be a "sorry i have a mission that week", "sorry im visiting my mom", "sorry Endeavor needs to see me about the agency"

... all excuses Bakugou knows, but the others pay no mind. They are rising heroes near the top of the billboard by now

month 48. Wedding day.

she's stunning. Gorgeous. A near goddess walking down the aisle on her big day.

but she's not walking down for him. No its for iida.

there was the ceremony, the cheers, the congratulations, the reception. Fairy lights around the dance floor and along the walls, champagne glittering after the sound of a cork

Todoroki stands off to against the wall as the night dies down, a glass in hand, watching the newly weds grace the dance floor.

someone slides up beside him, he feels the presence. Bakugou.

"She's beautiful isnt she?"

"Yeah."

. . .

a star tear falls from Todoroki's eyes, twinkle hidden among the fairy lights and champagne glitter.

she's beautiful, but maybe its a good thing I can't see

somebody said: what if she knows everything that had happened and the reason why he couldn't continue his career is bc of her?

me: ok you’re asking for it

Momo, 3 months pregnant with iimomo baby, announces with Iida the news to their friends

the soon to be parents want to choose godparents for the baby so Iida gets to choose the baby’s godmother and Momo gets to choose the godfather

and ofc along with the announcement Momo asks Todoroki to be the kid’s godfather

he can’t say no to her.

the same week later Todo and Momo's agencies are requested to deal with this one villain case while Ingenium's agency deals with another in another town (later turns out the cases were connected)

small talk, civil, very professional between Momo and Todo when they’re in the debriefing

at this point Todo's pretty much completely blind and uses some special contact lenses from Hatsume to help "see"

but the contact lenses can only do so much as to detect light movement and shadows and it reallllllllly doesnt work well when he's using his fire 

so Todo already had tossed around the idea of running away to the mountains like Roy did in the FMA 2003 ending, "mysteriously" retiring bc really his vision cannot keep up

until this last mission with Momo

and really its been nearly a decade now since they last worked together side by side (not since U.A. he thinks).. so just let the blind man be selfish one last time

and so smth smth missiom happens, Todo and Momo fighting side by side

but Momo senses there’s something off with Todo's movements? His reflexes are slower.. it doesnt seem like he's prediciting the opponents moves like he used to.. he's more so reacting and retaliating than attacking..

she chalks it up to that they havent fought side by side in a long time and his style must’ve changed and really, she doesnt know him anymore... not like she used to

smth smth 3 months pregnant Momo gets hurt, knocked unconscious for a bit

Todo saves her

and when she comes to, while Todo's holding her, star tears fall onto her cheek from Todo's eyes. 

She's shocked. Reaches up to gently graze a finger tip at his left cheek.

"Todoroki-san, these are?"

and again its like Todo didnt realize he was crying. He jerks away from her hand and brushes her off with "its nothing”. Changes the subject with "are you ok?"

Momo: yes.. i think so

Todo: and the baby?

Momo, sitting up: we're ok I think

Todo, moving away: good

the mission concludes and they meet up with Ingenium’s group to wrap up the two ends. Todo slips away before Iida and Momo and approach him

theres no activity from Todoroki for the next month

neither Iida, Deku or anyone else in 1A know where he went except the Hero Association's vague comment on "Hot Cold Hero Shouto has taken a sudden indefinite hiatus"

(Only Todo’s family knows and Endeavor asked the Association to say "hiatus" instead of "retirement" bc Enji wants to believe in his son making a comeback. He didnt stop Shouto from taking off)

and ofc Momo upon hearing this is so confused??? Her last mission with him was the last time she saw him and he was crying. Why was he crying? Strange star tears twinkling and landing on her cheeks? What even is that phenomenon?

its too many questions and ofc Momo's gonna investigate. For the sake of her friend.

so she digs up all the texts she can find on star tears. Internet search all the possibilities. Consults the doctors at the hospital. Even asks Tenya if Todoroki has been acting strangely during their weekly catch ups.

but Tenya tells her Todoroki hasnt been the the meet ups since after their wedding

so she asks anyone in their pro hero circle of associates she can think of. Tsukiyomi, Burnin', heros from his agency, anyone she can think of that has worked with Todoroki before and could comment on his behaviour

no body knows. No body noticed anything different either. Sure there were some off days but the Hot Cold Hero Shouto was always on his game being one of the top 3 heroes on the billboard charts

she searches and searches, splitting time interviewing colleagues and researching the possible star tears phenomenon

until eventually her search takes her to...

Bakugou.

Of course.

Momo, pleading: please Bakugou, you know something about him dont you?

Bakugou, who at this point had been very careful trying not to get cornered knowing her investigation: save it pony tail, you’re about to have a baby. Go have people harass you about that brat in your oven instead of harassing other people

Momo, nearly begging: please. You and I both know he's strong and a good hero that would not suddenly retire. Whatever he is doing, he might need help.. please tell me Bakugou.

... theres something about pregnant women that you cant say no to.

Bakugou, relenting: tch. The half ass is somewhere in Yokohama

and thats all she needs nearly running waddling (as fast as a pregnant woman could) out the door

Bakugou, calling out after her, still reluctant: when find that half ass, i suggest you throw him a gift. Literally. Throw it at him. He deserves it.

she finds him along the port, watching the sunset in Yokohama (its really not that hard to find someone with heterochromia and two tone hair in a city, especially if youre a hero that knows what methods heroes will use to go incognito)

and for some inkling of a feeling, Momo takes Bakugou's advice. She has a carton of strawberry milk in hand.

Momo, a few feet away from him: Todoroki-san, it's been a while.

Todo, turning his head in her direction: Yaoyorozu...?

Momo, sadly smiling: the sunset is beautiful here isnt it?

Todo, brows furrowing: .. sure. Yaoyorozu what are you doing here--

Momo, interrupting him: --i brought some snacks. Strawberry milk, you liked this while we were in school right? Catch.

she tosses it at him.

he tries to reach out.

But he'es completely off. And misses

Momo, sad: Todoroki-san. You're blind, arent you?

Todo, guilty: ah.

Momo, tearing up: will you please tell me?

he still can say no to her and confesses his story

and when he's finished telling the tale of star tears, the stars above are twinkling too

she's crying and choking and sobbing through tears and its intensified by baby Iida with pregnancy hormones

But the last thing she manages to croak out at the very least is still wholly her

She apologizes

“Im so sorry Todoroki- san. I cant love you that way.”

“I know.”

END NOTES:

red is the last color Todoroki wanted to lose because it reminds him of Momo

during missions, as long as he could see her, “that’s ok” he thought. she is the only one he sees in color. that is okay with him

to him, Momo is his shining star. And there’s something tragically poetic of him losing his sight to the stars if its for his shining star Momo

He leaves the last stars in a tiny little jar like those paper stars as a gift for her with just the words on a note "goodbye Momo" the day after she finds him in Yokohama

Momo has the jar of stars forever on her bedside and looks at them with this melancholy expression. Baby Iida grows up and asks mom: "what is that jar of stars?" 

Momo responds: "a gift from someone that was blinded by love"

Bakugou in this timeline had a case of star tears too but I'd like to think he got his feelings requited so he never went blind to contrast Todo

So thats why Baku is (begrudgingly) sympathetic to Todo cuz he thinks: “that could’ve been me”

The ending shot of a blind Todoroki in a dark room, all alone, eyes closed, thinking back to Momo's shining smile from UA surrounded by star light with a sad smile on his face and it fades to black

as we all know, he has many things on his mind

but romance isn’t really one of them

so if you do catch his attention, at first he’ll believe it to be mere curiosity

will put it on your quirk if you happen to have a peculiar one or none at all

if you’re his classmate he’ll start thinking that this is what friendship feels like? or the desire for a friend at the very least

yeah keep telling yourself that candy cane

quick side note: I hc that Shouto would be very likely to crush on someone slightly older than him; could also fall for someone his age but I don’t think he’d be attracted to someone younger

anyway, he’d take him the longest time to realise he likes you

like romantically

even just admitting that he cares for someone as a friend is so new to him, he isn’t sure how to handle it

so he tries to keep things simple

he enjoys your company? he’ll find ways to spend more time with you

admires your intellect? he’ll make an effort to initiate conversations, or ask you to study together

finds your laugh absolutely adorable? I mean come on, some laughs are more endearing than others it totally doesn’t mean anything, and what could it possibly mean anyway? chillipopsicle won’t overthink things; if he knows something that makes you laugh he’ll casually use it once in a while

even if he does all this, he’s still pretty lowkey with his affection

you could totally see this as him being simply friendly, especially when he starts warming up to other people like Izuku or Momo

everything seems awkward now that he is aware of his feelings

misses a little bit that blessed time when things were simpler

but he misses you more, so whether he thinks you reciprocate or not he’ll start spending time with you again

doesn’t try to get you to confess, honestly he’s a little scared of your answer

he’s not even sure what he’d want it to be

will most likely not confess himself either

not before a loooooooooong time

and even then it won’t be a big declaration (his actions, such as his protectiveness over you, should speak for themselves)

if you reject him he’ll understand and respect your feelings but he’ll be extremely sad, something will break in him

he won’t go back to avoiding you but he’ll take some distance

it will take a while to mend his heart, cause when this poor baby falls he falls hard

deep down, he’ll still have the tiniest bit of hope that you’ll change your mind someday

if you tell him that you feel the same, well all his doubts won’t suddenly disappear but he’ll definitely know that this was the answer he was hoping for

a bit timid when it comes to physical affection so he won’t go for a hug (even if he really wants to) but he’ll hold your hands in his as he gazes happily and lovingly into your eyes

I said he isn’t big on kisses, and @sleepypurpledandelion said that cheek kisses might just be the death of him… and well I agree!
