Help I got hyperfixated on a 30 year old movie with no fandom
So if I can change that, I will. I invite all my followers to take a look at The Crow
Are you a goth? Are you perhaps a hopeless romantic? Are you into found family and fleeting moments of wholesomeness in a rotten world? Boy do I have the movie for you.
"people once believed that when someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead. But sometimes, something so bad happens that a terrible sadness is carried with it and the soul can鈥檛 rest. Then sometimes, just sometimes, the crow can bring that soul back to put the wrong things right."
A young couple is brutally - and I mean brutally - murdered the day before they're set to marry on Halloween. Because the violence in their deaths was so strong, but so was the love of the man for his girlfriend, the Crow brings him back from the dead and he sets off in a quest for revenge against his own murderers.
The makeup is just because he's goth as hell and also a rock star.
The setting is an awfully grimy city, full of gangs and arson, where the police is in the villains' pocket and the one good cop keeps getting demoted for doing his damn job. The soundtrack is really good rock hits, including things like The Cure and Nine Inch Nails.
And the man, despite being an angel of vengeance, is surprisingly sweet, and finds time to take care of a cat and a little girl in the middle of his rampage.
I think it's worth a watch, it's gotta be one of the gothest movies I've ever seen, yet the entire message that moves the whole story was love.
I hope you guys enjoy it. Just mind the content warnings.
^ This scary motherfucker is a sweetheart. Also his name is Eric Draven. How baddass is that?
