this may just have been me who didn't put it together but we're getting another chenford dance ♡♡♡♡ when they showed a chenford snippet in the teaser promo idk why i thought it was them just standing there sharing a moment???? but bbs are gonna be danciiiiiiiing~~~

what if tim's "yes,i love you" is a red herring?? because i swear that right after he says it, it looks like she's about to turn and look to her right (like get confirmation of it from someone monitoring the lie detector perhaps???) i keep thinking of how alexi said they're always looking to "walk a fine line with chenford" plus what eric said in the interview about a "nice little confessional of information" at the wedding ― it makes me think that the interrogation scene does not end super well (maybe awkward, maybe angsty, maybe both?) and the resolution happens at the wedding where they're dancing and that's their first (official - bc we know their track record with firsts) "i love you"

RICHARD T. JONES TELLING ERIC AND MELISSA THAT CHENFORD WAS GOING TO BE SOMETHING WHEN THEY FILMED THAT SCENE IN 2X01!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this one made me laugh bc it felt very full circle in a way? like how grey was the one who paired tim and lucy up (i wish they talk about this one day like elaborate why he paired up everyone with who he did bc it was so interesting to learn percy had requested tim be jackson's t.o. and that clearly didn't happen) and how the actor himself was also like "yeah, that's gonna happen"

i loved that they were asked if they could pinpoint when they noticed a shift between them (and their answers, i love hearing all these different perspectives). i i think part of the beauty of the slow burn is that there's no specific point? also the way this goes back to "she fell first, he fell harder" because tim at the hallway scene in 4x22 was hit with a world of emotions and realizations after that kiss

chenford having to face the reality of what lucy being uc means will no doubt be tough but i'm so happy they're finally going to address it!!!!! they've been in such a honeymoon phase and every time the topic is brought up they pretend it's fine but it's v much not

ATLA Live Action Stream of Consciousness (Episode 2, Part 1).

The fire nation theme with a full orchestra goes so hard. I need Azula’s version too.

Zuko tearing up the room looking for his fucking diary while Iroh just fails to calm him down is peak 16 year old and his dad core and I’m living for it. I, too, want to smash stuff when my beloved things go missing.

Zuko’s right, Aang is a coward which is good because he’s nuanced! Now the show should acknowledge that.

We’re going to Kyoshi island yay!

Another good Katara monologue. They seem to have grasped the hopeful aspect of her character well (and it’s clearly in Kiawentiio’s acting wheelhouse). Now let her break stuff!

Wait if Aang can fly why did he fall out of the sky in the last episode?

The Gyatso memorial was a really nice touch. I think Gordon’s acting was slightly flat (emphasis on slightly) but the way his voice broke on the last line broke me. Since it’s the first time I’ve had anything bad to say about his acting, I’ll give it a pass.

I will say idk if it’s sets of CGI but the whole setting is gorgeous. I’m glad their budget let them add in those details that we didn’t get in the cartoon.

Yay Iroh comedy! Give him more!

They nailed Zuko and Iroh’s dynamic. No complaints. Also since the main trio is less funny (which is fine) the comic relief is much needed.

Kyoshi Warrior makeup looks awesome!

Ooh Suki’s mom is here! And Suki getting some more background/development, always love! Not sure if I would have called “kindness” one of her core traits but it’s not like she wasn’t kind. She didn’t have much characterization to begin with besides “cool strong girl!” so I like that she gets a softer side.

Sokka’s fangirling over Suki this is cute and also hilarious. And Suki is EVISCERATING him with her skills.

Iroh is comedy gold (makes sense since I know this actor has a background in comedy) This episode overall is lighter which I think is a nice break since last episode was pretty intense.

Zhao seems like less of an asshole right off the bat. Is he sneaky or just watered down? (Like Katara-no I won’t shut up about her).

Shirtless Sokka was not necessary I want everyone to stay far away from over sexuality the teenage characters I don’t care that some of them look over Netflix don’t Netflix this.

I like that we’re expressing Aang’s grief more overtly. Something the original couldn’t do.

I find Aang and Katara’s friendship really wholesome.

Katara talking about Aang knowing how to connect…BUT THAT WAS KATARA’S THING. Why are they taking her good traits and giving them to her male friends istg.

Suki is so cool I love her definitely no character crush here. Her literally being like “I like this boy. Obviously the logical choice is to show him my fighting skills” she’s so real for that.

“Only justice will bring peace” - please tell me Katara being the one to read that line is important because thematically it’s a very Katara line.

Aang’s backstory with people being scared of him and losing control is an interesting new touch that I think could be used really well. (Also seeing some Azula parallels especially with the “lucky” thing but I don’t think I’m that lucky).

I do miss Sokka’s Kyoshi Warrior uniform. The tension though! A little more of a mature tone than the original and idk how much I want to lean into sexual tension of any kind but the characters are 16 so I thiiink I’m okay with this but NETFLIX IF YOU OVERSEXUALIZE THEM ALL I WILL COME FOR YOU!!

Spoilers for s6 ep2

I thought this episode was…ok

Like the concept was great but the execution was definitely shaky. It could have gone deeper with Morty literally being at war with himself to either stay or go with Rick. His grandfather who he loves but can’t trust. I think this episode could have been used to rebuild that broken trust between them. I mean Rick left Morty for two crows, and Morty can’t be sure he won’t abandon him again.

I think they should have lingered on this scene.

Instead of Morty going to full on war with himself (because he is literally killing himself when he does that and Marta has very much put in an effort to avoid that) they should have given Rick and chance to say “I love you”. We could have Marta’s farther have his whole speech before hand too after Marta speaks with the president and has her doubts.

I think it would have been nice to watch him scramble to say something. To tell Morty that he doesn’t want to settle for 92% of him (proven by Rick’s reaction to Marta’s mom dying) that he puts up with all of Mortys stubborn teen bullshit (it’s not always shit but for Rick it probably is) because he actually wants him around.

For him to tell Morty all this and for Morty to stop him and ask him again to say “I love you”. That he knows logically Rick does love him but that he still left him. That Rick loves him and yet he still put him trough so much heartache. That Morty just wants one real “I love you” not “I’m proud of you” not “I want you around” he wants an “I love you”.

Because throughout all of their adventures Rick has proven that he loves Morty but with all the times Rick has proven himself he’s also shown Morty how willing he is to sacrifice him. That he doesn’t mind ripping everything away so long as Morty is alive. (Episodes like Mortys mindblowers or Total Rickall) But at that point is he even Morty anymore?

And for Rick to look at every piece of Morty and hurt. Hurt because his grandson, his best friend can’t trust him. And he’s right not to. For Rick to look at Morty and tell him “I love you, Morty. And I’m sorry”

Idk maybe they could cut away just before he says it. And when they cut back all of Morty is in space and they leave the simulation. And when their about to leave the arcade Rick grabs Morty and tells him again that he loves him and that he just wanted to say it to his face. Queue wholesome hug.

Even if they did the whole war thing, I hated how they left Marta. She seemed like a fundamental part of Morty. I think she was meant to be his conscience or empathy?

Also Summer should have had more lines other than die hard. Like at the end with the cannibal, like she knows those guys taste good she had some. Or like a cool thing where her hair comes undone and falls down all badass n shit. I love badass Summer I want more of her.

So idk why it has taken me so long to send this haha but seeing as how the lack of competent, non-doormat MCs in otomes have come up again here on your blog, I wanna share 2 I've found that fit the bill (idk if you've heard of em):

I Love You! is sweet and short. There's 3 LIs and multiple endings. It's funny too. Only downside I'd say is that because it's short I think it can make some interactions seem too tacky I guess since it all has to fit in... but I liked it :)

Then Tailor Tales . I'm still busy with it. Since I got a job I don't have time anymore lol, but I think it has the most potential and I think you can kinda be a soft or hard-ish dom (to use those terms, but it's called "fierce" levels in the game lol), and so there is eventual nsfw moments. But it's wholesome for the most part. Idk if full game is out. Some downsides are that I personally don't like some of the cgs lol and the voice sound effects (so I just lower the volume of them).

Ever since I found Blooming Panic and OLBA through your blog, I've been infected by the need for more !! Truly a shame that we are deprived of proper submissive characters for Mc...

I Love You! was short but a good past time and a nice refreshing game dynamic wise, you're right.

With Tailor Tales, there's actually a tag on the character profiles telling you if a character is submissive or dominant, which I liked. I've only played Dimitri's route, which is the only submissive character out at the moment, and I enjoyed his route a lot (although the n-sfw extra was underwhelming and he's not like, super submissive.)

However, Aiden's route I'm very excited for. His route isn't out yet but it's a n-sfw route fully based around a dom!MC and sub!Aiden dynamic. I'm really interested and looking forward to playing it whenever it comes out!

How ASL Bros React To Getting Married To You

A/N : well, I reallyyy want to write a nice long fic but like.. life man. I’m on spring break and have work all week and with my sleep problems 😭 just enjoy this please c:

Summary : what the asl brothers wedding would be like.

Luffy

“Woah! You look awesome, [Name]!”

So cheery and wholesome.

Zoro is his best man, ( much to Sanji’s dismay )

EVERYONE is there, every single person he’s ever met is there so it’s crowded and you basically had it outside, in Foosha Village, though he wanted it to be on the ship.

All of the girls Luffy’s met is responsible for your appearance, they all helped you on your big day.

Some of the marines were invited, of course.

Luffy’s best mans/groom mans ( idk) ( other than Zoro ) consists of Sabo, Ace, Sanji, Usopp, Franky, Brook, Law, Shanks and Koby.

Your bridesmaids consist of Nami, Robin ( maid of honor ), Perona, Tashigi, Vivi and Makino. ( shirahoshi and others didn’t have too much room to stand by you because of the guests so they just sat in their respective seats.)

Before it officially started, there was a lot of tension so separation in seats were needed. Big Mom’s crew is sitting on the left back, Marines in the front right, Law’s, Kid’s and Shanks and other pirates are put in the right back, and everyone else Luffy knows is in the front right.

Few are still in shock because of the fact that LUFFY is getting married before them.

A lot of yelling and laughter from everyone is around but as soon as the classic music is playing in the background, everyone shuts up and turns to face the back, where you’re walking with Garp.

Old man Garp is the one taking you, and even he is full of tears from the fact that his own grandson is getting married.

“You take care of my dumb ole’ grandson, you hear? If he ever becomes too much of an annoyance, just knock him a few times in the head.”

And when you finally reach him, everyone is quiet and has the proudest smiles on their faces. Their Luffy is all grown up.

His bright, radiating grin is plastered and he is pretty overwhelmed but right now, you’re distracted by his handsome look in his suit.

Of course, he has shorts instead of long dress pants but he still looked handsome regardless.

Vows are said, rings are given and you smile at Luffy as the minister ( Sengoku ) questions your commitment.

“Do you, [ Name LastName ] take this complete fool, Monkey D. Luffy, as your everlasting husband and, future pirate king?”

Chuckles are heard, and you couldn’t suppress a giggle either. “I do.”

“I see. I wish you luck on this journey. Luffy, you may now kiss the bride.”

Claps are heard around as Luffy grins. “About time!” He cheers and pulls you by your hands, quickly smashing your lips together in a kiss.

“Congrats, Luffy!”

“Not bad, Straw Hat.”

“Where’s the beer? Time to party!”

“Alright, Luffy! Woo!”

Music is quick to break out as everyone is celebrating and cheering.

You and Luffy already cut the cake, ( it took you a lot of force to make Luffy not shove his face in the cake and just CUT IT. )

The giant cake made by Sanji and the Big Mom family, was shared for everyone and there was still plenty left.

And it was just a fun time with everyone. You even threw your bouquet(?) behind you already and it seems the next to be wed was Tama!

Clearly some of the women weren’t too happy to see the little grow becoming married before them but it was a nice laugh.

The night goes on and it’s getting late. Guests are leaving after wishing the two of you well and you two head in for your suite that Nami booked as her present.

“It feels normal. I thought this was some big special thing, why is it such a big deal again?” Luffy questions, forgetting what the girls had told him the several nights before about weddings.

You smile gently and set the last wrapped gift to the side with the others, taking a glance at the shimmering ring on your left hand.

“Because,” you spin around and face your husband, reaching over and taking off his straw hat that he kept on.

“It swears our connection and commitment to each other. Why do you think Shanks married Makino, despite their long distance relationship?”

Luffy offers his gentle smile, seemingly more relaxed at the mention of the two of the most important people in his life, out of many.

“Because they love each other?” He guesses calmly, tilting his head and you nod, giggling at his black hair that swayed.

“And I love you.” You whisper, leaning closer and felt Luffy’s arms enveloping you in a tight hug, his face nuzzling into your neck.

“I love you, [Name].”

And he leans back, connecting his lips on yours.

Ace

“Oh..wow..”

Oh boy, did the Whitebeard crew go BIG.

I have a feeling that Ace would want something a little normal or smaller perhaps, just inviting his personal friends and family, and maybe a few people he met along the way of his journey.

He’s a friendly, outgoing person but for a personal occasion, it’s best to stick with the people you’re closest to.

But he wasn’t complaining when he saw the large äss party, feast and the important people in his life showing up.

Sabo, Luffy and his crew, Shanks, Makino, all of his brothers, members of his old crew, Garp, he was thrilled to see everyone!

The wedding was held on Whitebeard’s ship, of course. It wasn’t too fancy or grand but still pretty large and the ship was right in the middle of the sea.

Ace is all dressed up handsomely in his suit, with the help of Marco, Vista and Izo. His hair isn’t too messy and just styled neatly.

You were dressed beautifully in your gown/suit, with the help of the nurses, Nami, Robin and Izo.

There was a bit of trouble with seating but naturally, many people stood up anyways and were quite busy throwing confetti and other things at you, even if it was a wedding.

Whitebeard is taking you down the aisle, it’s a little bit difficult but he still did, and you can bet he’s excited to have a daughter/son that will help watch over Ace’s dumbass self.

“Rough him up real good, take good care of my stupid son. And call me Pops!”

When Ace sees you walking down, he’ll admit, he’s teary. He’s actually found love, someone like him.. and he’s about to be married to you, the most amazing, attractive, and sweetest person he’s met.

You look so amazing in your outfit, he’s in tears. He’s so lucky.. Marco has a hand on his shoulder and patting his back. “Congratulations, Ace. You deserve this.”

Wiping his tears with his finger, he nods and exhales, holding the widest, warmest smile he could muster.

He was going to love you and protect you all of his damn life, that’s for sure.

The minister is actually Vista! Ace’s best man is Marco and his groomsmans all include Thatch, Luffy, Jozu, Izo, and Haruta!

“Do you, [Name Lastname] take this young kid as your loyal, lawful and everlasting husband?”

“Really?” Ace pouts at Vista’s joke and chuckles are heard, even yours.

“I do, Vista. I’ll make sure he grows.” You giggle as Ace sighs in exasperation.

“Very well. I now pronounce you husband and wife, Ace, kiss your damn bride already.”

“My pleasure.” Ace grins and he’s quick in pulling your wrist towards him, and spinning you into a dipping motion before connecting your lips together in a kiss.

Whistles and catcalls are heard as loud cheers and applause are made.

“Go Ace!”

“Alright, Fire Fist!”

“Better not lose her, Ace!”

Ace rolls his eyes at the comments from his brothers and pulls you back up with a smile. He’s a little glad he didn’t fall asleep midway because of his narcolepsy.

Party immediately breaks out, Sanji aids Thatch in the kitchen to bring out everything and it’s a long night of dancing, boozing and more.

Ace is just off with the guys, having fun and celebrating while you are off with the women, talking about experiences and such.

And when Ace finally finds you and pulls you two away to his room for some alone time, he pulls you close.

“Well, Mrs. Fire Fist, what do you want to do first?~”

His arms are around your waist as he secures you towards him, a cheeky smile on display on his face.

“Not sure, what did you have in mind?” Playing coy, you shrug and tilt your head, turning away from his face which he pouts and uses his hand to force his back to him.

Pecking your lips, Ace smiles again and leads you to his bed. “I have an idea, if you’re up to it?” He wiggles his brows, making you laugh.

He jumps onto the bed, pulling you with him so you were on top. “Well?”

“Oh! Cuddles, I get it! Sure, I’m tired anyways.”

Ace groans at you, heaving a sigh and he whines. “Come on, [Naaamee]!”

You just giggle and sit up, repositioning yourself on his lap and straddled him. “Fine, fine. You’re lucky it’s our special day today.” You hum.

“Oh? So you don’t want to do this after today is over?” Ace muses, smirking a bit since he knew the answer.

You puff your cheeks out at the thought of not having sex with Ace anymore, but you weren’t going to back down. “..Nope!”

Knowing the truth, Ace chuckles and begins to grind upwards into you.

“Alright, I guess I better make this a special memory to remember.”

Sabo

“You look incredible, [Name]..”

The most average, normal one. It’s traditional, smaller than most would be, and it’s for personal guests only.

So close members of the revolutionary army, his brothers, Garp and Makino were the only ones invited. If Luffy wanted, he could bring his crew but that’s it!

It’s traditional, so it was held inside a chapel, of course. It wasn’t anything special, everything was set up already and prepared for a small group so it was great.

Sabo is in a dashing, handsome suit like Ace was, but somehow has a much more charming, princely appearance. He helped himself in the appearance, with smallest help of Inazuma.

Your dress too! Somehow it’s more Royal appearing and your veil resembles a crown in a way. Koala and Iva helped you out in this!

Sabo’s best man is actually Ace! The strongest brotherly bond overpowered the thought of having Kuma, Iva or Luffy as a best man, but fortunately, they didn’t seem to mind, since they were groomsmans anyways. Iva being both bridesmaid and groomsman.

Ace was pretty teary and honored, and felt so excited.

The one who takes you down the aisle is Dragon. He’s a little awkward about it at first but he is quite proud of Sabo, even if he doesn’t openly show it.

“Take good care of him, alright?”

“I will.” You assure, thanking him when you finally reach the point of Sabo’s side.

The whole time, Sabo is staring at you in awe, feeling speechless. How did he manage to get someone as beautiful and wholehearted as you?

He can’t contain his wide grin and excitement, his hands just a hint clammy from the nervousness of possible rejection. But he knew you loved him. Because he loves you.

“Someone looks handsome.” You whisper in a giggle and Sabo chuckles. “Not compared to the beauty you have right now.” He winks.

The minister is actually Kuma, of course. Kuma was the obvious choice. Kuma took the position with gratitude.

“[Name Lastname]. Do you take Chief of Staff Sabo, as your lawful, loyal and everlasting husband?”

“I do.”

“Congratulations. I now pronounce you husband and wife, Sabo, please do the honor of kissing your bride.”

Sabo is the most natural approach, taking a step forward and cupping your cheeks in his hands and pulling you forward, for a kiss.

Cheers and applause are made and heard, and Luffy, being the brother he is, pulls out a loud confetti popper and pulls it, it shooting it out everywhere like fireworks.

“Congratulations, you two!”

“Alright, time to get drinking!”

“Better not let this get in the way of your missions..”

“Luffy, how’d you even get that?!” Sabo widens his eyes and he laughs. “Franky made it for me! He said it’ll be super, for the wedding!”

“Geez..”

You can’t help the laugh that escapes your lips and Sabo finds himself laughing alongside you and the whole place is soon filled with laughter and cheer.

It’s a small family party but it was still pretty chaotic regardless, and Sabo makes sure to take you outside for some fresh air when it becomes nighttime.

“Hey, feeling okay?”

Taking a seat on the bench nearly, Sabo sits beside you and you nod, immediately leaning into his shoulder.

“It’s overwhelming, I guess..” the warm smile that spreads your lips is contagious as he does the same when he sees it. “But,”

You take a look at your ring finger, that held the beautiful silver ring and diamond. “I couldn’t be happier with today. I’m married to the love of my life.”

Sabo smiles gently and closed his eyes, leaning against the backrest and let the moonlight light against his face.

“I am, as well. I couldn’t be any luckier to be married to you now..” taking your hand in his, he intertwines your fingers and brings your hand up to kiss.

He kisses your ring finger specifically and hums.

“Thank you.. for being with me.. I love you, [Name].”

“Of course. Thank you for being with me. I love you, Sabo.”

My takes on Masters of the Universe: Revelations, because Why Not (SPOILERS!)

Can't believe how emotionally attached I am to Orko. I don't remember a single episode from the old cartoons, but I remember the little guy being the first character that gave the "I wish I'd thought of that" feeling, his design is just so good! When he first showed up I was like "there he is! There's my boy!", when we saw him all frail and sick I teared up, and when he died, lets just say I had to stop and go play with my dog for a while. Seeing a Beloved Childhood Character(tm) die is just not something that happens every day.

Okay, with feelings out of the way, lets tackle Big Thing One: this series so far has barely been about He-Man. Not a bad thing, there's a whole world of characters to explore, Teela was basically the main character and her and Lyn had great (still unfinished) arcs that I'm happy to have be the main focus of the show. BUT. I really hope that's not the end of Adam. Boy deserves so much better than that shitty death. Bring him back and kill him a third time if you have to, but let him have a proper heroic death, he deserves as much. He's a good boy, and even though he basically only had one episode of character development (episode 1 doesn't count because there's nothing to develop, as it serves as a tie-in between the changing world of this show and the static world of the old one),it was good stuff, and him choosing to forego paradise only for his reward to be to be backstabbed immediately, not getting to fight The Fight? Feels bad. Even if it's just for one episode, for a final showdown with Skeletor, I hope he comes back in some manner, he deserves as much.

Big Thing Two: the way this show 100% embraces all of the ridiculousness of the old stuff and juggles it alongside taking itself 100% seriously is amazing. I'm honestly speechless at how the writing, the visuals, and the acting all converge in this incredibly serious world of characters with all sorts of issues, which is full of weird technology, those outfits, and those names?? Amazing. I especially adore Lena Headey's acting, oh my god. To voice a character who calls herself Evil-Lyn, who wears that helmet, and to do it so gloriously? Incredible. Andra is preciouss and amazing and I love her so much. She seems to be a new character (though maybe not? idk) and she's a nice addition. It's unclear if her and Teela are friends or if that's just what historians will say about them but either way their dynamic is fun, though the intentional visual parallels implying that she's to Teela what Teela is to He-Man got me scratching my head a bit. Like I can't tell if they're supposed to be an established couple or best-friends-to-lovers or unrequited, because I also got some weird love triangle vibe from Adam-Teela-He-Man. Honestly, hopefully this isn't something that will be explored too much in the show (edit: not because I have any problem with any of the couples mentioned, just because I don't think a heavy focus on romance would fit well in this story). I'm not coming at this as a shipper, just observing the tropes and visual language used.

The only real place were i was like, "yes, They Are in Love!" was the Sorceress and Man-at-Arms. No idea if that's a thing or not but god I hope it's explored more because it has this whole Star-crossed lovers vibe that I just really dig.

Also Lyn get your shit together but ALSO the way she puts on a mask the moment Skeletor comes back is SO good, again both the visuals and the acting worked really well together and it's so clear, without it being said outright, that she's very much NOT done with her newfound independence. I wonder if she'll change her name to Misunderstood-Lyn.

I kinda wish Adam hadn't been "the only one" to choose his "lesser" form, I wish Himbo Paradise had like a small group of twinks living there in harmony with the himbos it would have been so nice and wholesome to see the one who feel like they were their true selves with the power and the ones who feel like they were their true selves without it co-exist in harmony because yeah, they're different, but they all died for the same noble cause and they just get each other in a way no one else can because of shared experiences. Hello! I wanted to rec a fic on ao3 called "Restoration" by jelenedra. It's complete, an alternate universe of the sunshot campaign told nonlinearly. It has strong fairy tale and fae elements, with a touch of mystery. Bit of a fix it. Some delightful one liners, and the final ending imagery is just LOVELY. The fic deserves much more love. There's also some YilingWei, wwx not raised by Jiang, and sentient Burial Mounds elements. Enchanting read that keeps you enthralled and curious and intrigued.

It seems like Leilah is maybe starting to doubt SPECTRE so maybe they’re trying to use Sera to keep one of their lead scientists and Sera’s power is just a benefit? Idk. *It seems like they’ve done this before so maybe they know how to bring Sera around to their side. Like I doubt anyone they’ve recruited in the same way they did Sera went along with it willingly at the beginning. I mean, I wouldn’t. I’d probably be petty and deal without my ability.

Staying at Spencer’s place but it’s kind of impromptu and it’s definitely just as friends (even though reader and Spence are definitely feeling each other). And maybe reader takes a shower and has to use his soap and for whatever reason he loves the way his body wash smells on you. Bonus points if you have to borrow a tshirt from him to sleep in. Idk why they’re win this situation but the idea of it is eating away at my insides

Okay, this hit me in the feels-

Everything about his home was so organised.

From the books that were arranged alphabetically on the bookshelves that lined the walls of his living room to the way his clothes were organised by colour in his wardrobe. From the way his tall coffee mugs were placed in one cupboard and separately from the small coffee mugs that were in an adjacent cupboard. to the way he piled his plates in different sizes. From the way his fridge was so perfectly stocked with fruits in one drawer and veggies in another to the way he had a neatly stacked section of his kitchen worktop that was full of treats that he tried not to visit too often (but they were more for when YN came to visit him than they were for him to snack on, really).

It was a huge contrast to where she called home.

A home that belonged to a building that was currently under decontamination after one of her neighbours, an sweet yet elderly neighbour who wasn’t quite with their wits and didn’t know the wrongs they were doing when it came to a ‘wholesome’ act, had brought in an infestation of something she had tried hard to forget about after gathering some of her things and leaving for the week they were told - which confused her because she could deal with crime scenes and the bodies they worked with on different cases yet couldn’t deal with bug infestations and rats.

“The sofa’s comfortable, trust me. I’ve got plenty of blankets and pillows if you need them because it can get quite cold in here. The kitchen is right there so if you get thirsty or hungry then you know where to go,” he looks around himself to see if he had forgotten anything and nods to himself, running his palms down his covered thighs, “the bathroom is next to my bedroom. It’s not the en-suite so don’t worry about walking in on me or me walking in on you. But, uh, you already know that.”

She smiles at him and lets her packed bag slip down her shoulder, falling to the floor by her feet with a thud, her shoes placed beside his and forgotten about by the doorway after she had entered his home just moments prior to his little tour. 

“How can I trust you?”

“What now?”

“You said I can trust you that the sofa’s comfortable,” she takes a step into his living room and takes a look at where she would be calling home for the next few days - or, at least, until she was given a call to tell her that her home was much safer to live in and move back into - and she couldn’t have chosen any better person, “how can I trust you?”

She turns on her socked heels and looks at him with a eager look in her eyes, a blush on his cheeks as he rubs the back of his neck with his hand, looking any other direction than her face that awaited whatever he was ashamed about. The longer it took, the more curious she became.

“I, uh, I’ve fallen asleep there some nights. When I bring work home and I try to get it done before I go to sleep but don’t quite make it to the end,” he explains and his eyes fall on the black sofa of his living quarters and YN’s eyes fall on the same thing, “it happens, I guess. Overworked, tired, when a case runs late and we don’t get back to the early morning. I’ve napped there so I know.”

She nods understandingly and nervously steps into the space, walking in the direction of the sofa so she could really test out how comfortable it was.

And he was right.

It was comfortable. She sank right into the padded cushions beneath her and behind her, his throw pillows silky and smooth when she touched them, and the blanket he had draped over the back of the seat was woollen and soft against her skin.

“You wanted a shower, didn’t you?”

She nods and he stands up from where he had sat on the arm of the sofa, next to her so he was at her aid for anything she wanted and to answer and show her anything she was curious about, and she felt obliged to follow him to where he was going. 

She hadn’t seen his bedroom fully before, only through the open door when she came to pick him up in the mornings, and she was impressed yet not surprised at how clean it was and how everything was laid out in such a way that seemed so perfectly in place. His clothes for the next day were set out on his vanity dresser and his go-bag was pushed underneath so he could grab it and take it when he left for work. And it answered a few questions that she was rather curious about; yes, he did make his bed after waking up and he did clean and dust his shelves when they got a little dusty yet he didn’t take his bin out when it was full and he didn’t keep his bedside table clear and in such an orderly fashion that matched the rest of his house.

“You can just shower in my bathroom. It’s a bit nicer, I decorated it a little better than the bathroom next door and the water pressure is stronger. Helps with the aches and stuff,” he opens the bathroom door, “you can use my soaps, any of my shampoos, whatever you can grab. I know it’s not ideal but I can always go to the shops and by you some or-”

“No, I can do that. I can’t expect you to buy me things when you’ve welcomed me in so nicely,” she squeezes his elbow and steps into the bathroom and, as weird as she know it sounded, it smelled like him. The citrus of his soaps clung to his skin, which was a smell she would occasional get a waft of whenever she came into close contact with him at work, and it clung to the air of the room and it was so fresh and so homely. “Which, I didn’t thank you for.”

“You don’t need to thank me,” he disappears and she doesn’t know where he’s gone until he comes back with a towel and a t-shirt from his wardrobe... which was something she had never seen on him, which was a style she never really thought he owned but was something that made hm seem like a normal person who dressed down when he didn’t need to be dressed up, “here. I have some trousers somewhere but I need to dig around for them. I’ll leave them on the bed and you can get dressed in my room but I won’t be in there so you don’t have to worry about me peeking or-.”

“Spence.”

She interrupts him and he realises how much he had been rambling on out of pure nerves; this was brand new for him and he wanted to make her feel as safe and as happy whilst staying with him as he could.

“Just shout for me if you can’t get the water working or need a new bottle of soap or whatever,” he smiles warmly at her and she smiles back with a glint in her eyes, “I’ll order us some takeout. I don’t feel like cooking and I’m not going to ask you to do that.”

He steps back into his bedroom and leaves her in the bathroom, a sheepish look on his face and a blush on his cheeks - he didn’t know why he was even pinking at the cheeks but she found it cute. He really was such a sweetheart and she was incredibly thankful for him, her friendship with him and how he was with her. 

“I’ll be ten minutes,” she informs him and he slowly closes the door, “thank you, Spence. I appreciate this.” xx

Thoughts on Bones and the bad decision making

The thing is about how MVA is being handled is that, generally, other animes that cut stuff out or have not as good animation as other seasons (which idk its literally only been one episode so we’ll see what else comes out of it, but I’m just stating the animation thing as one of the problems too) seems to be due to the time limit of an episode + how many episodes you have to fit in the season and evenly space it out + animation budget

Thats what I reason anyway. When I watch an anime and then read the manga, I notice stuff that didn’t get put into the anime, but I usually reason that “oh maybe it was the time limit of an episode and how many episodes they have left to put it in. If they couldn’t add that in but put this in instead, it’s probably due to what they think is more necessary to fit into the season before it ends. I can kinda understand that, and if its the case, I’m not really gonna hold it against them”

Same with animation, because adaptations usually try and space out the animation quality between Oh My God This Looks Ugly during a minor scene to Oh My God This Looks Incredible during an important scene. Again, I can understand that with budgets and the limit of available staff to animate. If you’re gonna hold back on some pieces of animation, I can definitely see the reason for sparing the Good Animation for the really important and impactful parts

But that doesn’t seem to be the case here

Bones cut out stuff that was actually quite important to understand the character. The League finding that racist cult and killing them was part of showing that they are decent enough to not be totally evil, and plus it tied in with Spinner’s arc of discrimination and that “empty feeling inside” which was actually caused by the people who lived in his town. Getting rid of his narrating too totally gets rid of that introduction to his arc, because when you first read that part in the manga, you think “why spinner? why spinner of all people? what distinguishes him from the rest?” and that question you ask yourself gets answered by his following development with Shiggy

Sure, Bones added in his narration in the forest, but the point of the initial narration is to make it feel personal. Spinner narrating in the forest is more like observational narration, rather than something personal. With 220, it felt like “Oh are we getting to Spinner’s arc? Are we getting his development or smthg? That sounds interesting, since he’s a background character. I wonder what will happen” but with the narration in the forest, it kind of gives off the feeling of “Why is Spinner narrating? Why did it switch to him? He’s just watching them, but is this important? I don’t understand”

There’s a difference between personal narration and observational narration. For example, lets compare a vlog and a documentary. A vlog is something personal, and when you watch it, you’re getting a glimpse into the persons life. That’s what I’d say Manga Spinner’s narration is equivalent to, because it literally starts off like “Whats up guys, I’m Spinner from the League Of Villains! We’re not in the best of conditions, as you can see, and we’re trying to work our way back to the top! Stay tuned!”

Anime Spinner’s narration is probably equal to a documentary, stating what has happened and whats going on now. And describing what Tomura’s face looks like. In fact, the description of the face is probably the only personal thing the anime put in from Spinners POV so far. I guess they were trying to keep that bit in to add that “personal” feeling we didn’t get from the initial narration, and since its such a small moment, it would quite easily fit into a few seconds of the episode without running over the episode limit but. there’s a big difference between “Whats up guys, I’m Spinner from the League Of Villains and we’re homeless, but we’re trying to get better!” and “His face looked like an eager child”

With the League in the shed scene, there was an awful lot there to be concerned about being cut. First we have Toga and Twice’s interactions, wholesome and sweet, which was supposed to cement their friendship which would make it all the more heartbreaking when Twice breaks down over Toga being in danger. For anime onlys, they could go off the past scenes from past seasons but idk that bit with them in the shed was supposed to be a recent reminder, to refresh your memory and such

Then we have Compress and Shiggy, because that mention of the sushi was supposed to be something Shiggy would remember and look back on, showing how connected he is with the League. With Spinner and Shiggy, that was meant to show the unrest and tension in Spinner and his ideals, and when he grabs Shiggy to yell at him, thats supposed to show you how much this matters to Spinner and how that moment tells the reader “Oh this arc is about Spinner and Shiggy”. The arc is about the League as a whole, but it’s meant to tell you as the reader that “This main villain and one of his background lackeys are going to have conflict”, and thats interesting!

Dabi’s entrance and what he said about recruitment was meant to be a build up to his conflict with Hawks. It was also meant to show how Dabi, despite seeming pretty aloof, still chooses to come back to the League and be a part of things. That despite Dabi trying to separate himself from them, he still finds a place to belong. Him bantering with the other members also showed how familiar he is with them, again, to show that this is a place he belongs

The Big Thing with Horikoshi is build up. The man slow burns to hell and back, and while it’s frustrating, it’s good. The Dabi Reveal’s burst of excitement in the fandom was because of that build up. It shows that Hori is willing to show little bits of development to really make the pay-off of waiting and reading worth it when something impactful happens.

Now, I can see why that would be a bit of an issue for the anime, because again, time limit of an episode and how many episodes/seasons you have to fit the storyline in and evenly space it out. Fitting it all in while still creating that feeling of tension must be hard, and I can see why it would be too.

But this isn’t about fitting in. This isn’t down to time limit or episode space. The simple fact is that Bones already screwed too much with it before MVA even started. They messed around with storyline, with the cuts, with dragging out scenes that really don’t even mean much - except for that scene with Enji thinking about his family, cuz that had meaning, but it was just way too dragged out. With dragging out scenes, both with and without meaning, I can see that as the studio trying to make fit the length of the episode but it just doesn’t work

And then there’s the Beach Episode for the girls, which wasn’t necessary at all. And I could also see that as them dragging out the season in order to potentially make S6 the League’s arc. But that didn’t happen

Instead, they rushed it, tried to fit it all in, while trying to keep in that Popular Characters Are Here So Please Watch element. Which AGAIN doesn’t work as good story telling because if you’re going to stretch it out for the Popular Characters, you need to evenly space out what scenes are used where and still be able to tell a coherent story. Which isn’t the case here because they prioritized Popular Characters Are Here So Please Watch instead of the actual plot

So I don’t think it’s about time limit of an episode + how many episodes you have to fit in the season and evenly space it out, not in this case. It genuinely is just bad decision making

Animation is kind of an exception because of that whole priority of saving the budget for Oh My God This Is Incredible scenes as opposed to minor scenes. We’ve only watched the first episodes so far and there is that whole concern with the characters height and Spinner’s face, but we’ve yet to see the rest of the arc, so I’m personally gonna hold out until its over to really judge the animation. With the heights and Spinner’s face though, I can see that it probably (probably) wasn’t the case of “We hate these characters fuck you”, it’s likely more about “We have to get this out and done on time so idk just quickly draw and get it over and done with”, you know?

Anyway lol I don’t think I’m saying anything that hasn’t already been said by the fandom, but I still felt compelled to talk about it. It’s such a shame, because anime onlys don’t get the full experience of what happens.

MORE THAN THAT, it’s all very well and good saying “Anime onlys please read the manga”, but for a lot of anime watchers, the only way they CAN follow the story is through watching it. I think I remember reading about how its hard for people with ADHD to focus enough to read the manga (I know thats the case for one of my irl adhd friends at least) and then there’s also the fact that they may lead busy lives. But it’s because of this rearranging of the arcs that I know it has to be frustrating for anime onlys too because they don’t get the full experience and they hear from manga readers that they aren’t getting the full story either! I’ve read some posts about how manga fans were excited to connect with their anime-only friends without spoiling anything, and the anime onlys just ending up confused and unimpressed. I feel for them and I know it has to be frustrating from both ends

Thats kind of why “being creative and messing with the storyline” doesn’t work in anime adaptations. Adding stuff in and having anime only episodes is nice for creativity and stuff but you have to be able to still have time for the rest of the story in order for it to work, otherwise you just end up confusing everybody, and again, those who can’t follow the story through manga miss out on the fun

I’m not an animator, nor am I entirely sure how production and such works, this is only based on the aspects that seem more logical with animes and why they do the things they do. So if anybody who actually is an animator or knows more about this than I do wants to come forward and tell me whether this is right or not, I’d be happy to be corrected with constructive criticism

Same with the ADHD stuff. I don’t know everything about it and there’s likely exceptions to the focus thing, but please don’t hesitate to also correct me on that

The Pillars: Scent HCs

Idk, I felt like this was an interesting idea but it turned into what felt like a gratuitous string of anime-inspired perfume ads written by someone with a repressed scent kink lmao. ‘twas fun to write, though! :D Edit: Upper Moons version ___ Kyojuro: I know this is technically illogical because he doesn’t actually *produce* fire, but for some reason I’ve always stuck with the hc that he smells like the aftermath of it. Kind of ashy, like something slightly burnt, but it’s a weirdly earthy scent as well- a warm, smoke-tinged sort of aroma that reminds you of cedar and oak, sturdy and reliable, or of blazing log fires in cold weather.  It’s strong, mildly bitter, and might throw you off at first, but it’s also comforting, the more you get used to it and the more you can make out the woodsy scent underneath. His clothes all smell like that and being hugged by him always brings the same familiar scent that makes you feel safe, like a forest surrounding you and guarding you from the world. Shinobu: She has a faint, bright scent of flowers, probably closest to lavender and roses, mixed with what’s probably good soap. It’s a dreamy sort of perfume, all light and sugary and enchanting, and smells like being in close proximity with a living scented candle. Shinobu’s scent is actually a result of conscious effort, in a sense- or at least, the soapy part of it is- because she is a *doctor* and she has to stay clean. The butterflies at the estate like to alight on her when she’s outside, and demons are stopped in their tracks by this tiny, lovely swordswoman who smells like a flower garden. You might find that being around her and her scent makes you feel a bit too relaxed and therefore sleepy, which amuses her. Muichiro: Has a ‘’clean’’ scent, but that’s pretty much all there is on the surface. You’ll actually smell very little from him unless you actively hug him or he leans right up close to your face. That’s when you’ll get what might be a very faint tinge of petrichor- the scent of earth after rain, mild but clear. It’s still very weak, though, and the usual conclusion is that he doesn’t smell like anything except sterile and soapy (not Good Soap like Shinobu’s, either, just…soapy soap). He himself doesn’t particularly notice that he smells like anything, and is the type of somewhat chaotic child to possibly sniff his own hair or clothes once somebody comments on the petrichor scent (and then conclude that he can’t smell anything except soap). Iguro: There’s a lot of green in his scent. Cut grass, leaves, the sharpness of green apples, mint. It’s light and a bit lemony, for lack of a better word. There’s something to be said for the theory that he smells so much like plant life because he’s always hanging out and about in the trees. You won’t catch much of it- it’s not a very strong fragrance and he usually wouldn’t let you close enough to sense it- but once you do, it’s distinctly recognizable. It’s not quite a comforting scent nor a good, sweet one, but it reminds you of the outdoors and of lonely mountains and high treetops where Iguro’s often perched with his Kaburamaru, and it’s honestly gentler than what you might expect from the snake pillar. Mitsuri: The closest way to describe it is that she smells like a home, like warm food cooking, blankets and candles burning. Faintly spicy, a little sweet, completely wholesome. Bread and miso soup, cooked rice and freshly laundered clothes. Maybe there’s a bit of vanilla in the mix, making it all the sweeter, and maybe you’ll find a hint of what might be milk tea. It’s the scent of her home full of laughing, loving siblings that she still carries with her, even after leaving for the corps. It seems to be a part of her that never fades no matter what she does or wears, and makes being hugged by her feel like an experience- you’re enveloped in a kind, comforting scent, the type that always make you feel loved and no longer alone. Sanemi: A solid majority of the time, he just smells like blood and carnage- he’s a marechi, and he tends to get injured often, and he tends to injure other people, too. In the small margin of time when he’s not on the go and working, though, he smells...weirdly citrusy, almost like oranges. It’s not immediately noticeable but it’s definitely there and it’s not at all unpleasant. And of course, as Tanjiro noted, he also carries a very faint touch of ohagi about him, a hint of sweetness that you’ll only ever catch if he lets you get close enough (or if you have a nose like Tanjiro’s). Kind of like Sanemi himself, actually. If you’ve gotten close enough to him to catch either the citrus or the ohagi, chances are you’ve already gotten through to his heart, too. Tengen: Tengen’s scent is strong to the point of overwhelming. It’s a bit like lilies and jasmine, almost, the heaviest floral fragrances that have then been concentrated way past what’s probably the recommended amount. Then there’s a strong musky scent combined with it, a rich, very spicy note that only intensifies the sweetness from the florals. Overall, it’s the most bombastic type of perfume you’ll ever encounter on anyone, so cloying that it’ll hit you like a freight train every time you get close to him. The scent is also ‘’catching,’’ so you can’t interact with him without everybody knowing that you’ve been in close proximity. This is incredibly annoying and a little embarrassing. (However, in private, Tengen tends to tone it down a little, and then he can actually smell pretty nice.) Himejima: Woodsy. Incense. None of it is very strong, but the incense in particular is a very specific, noticeable smell that hangs about his entire gigantic stature- the residue from his prayers, probably, and both his clothes and the wood of his prayer beads seems to retain it very well. It’s a strange sort of smell to people who aren’t used to it, but it’s comforting to those who are, and either way, it kind of immediately transports you to Himejima’s state of calm, collected self-control. It’s as if he’s stepped straight out of a tranquil, secret place in the woods at all times, and though you’d have to bury your face in his haori to really catch the scent, it has that automatically soothing effect whenever he lets you draw close to him. Giyuu: An illogical cliché in the same line as Rengoku’s, but…he does smell like the ocean. It’s a weak scent, just barely there in the hems of his sleeves and the air in his personal quarters, and not immediately noticeable or definable. You may or may not be able to make out the light sting of salt and the fresh, cool fragrance of the beach, of the tide coming in. It’s either that or newly laundered sheets, but well, the seashore comparison is more poetic, isn’t it? Again, it’s not a strong fragrance, and usually serves as a blank canvas for other quirks from his environment (ex: he carries the scent of citrus and ohagi after sparring with Sanemi)- he’ll probably absorb a bit of yours once you spend enough time together, and finds it mildly comforting, though he’d never admit that to your face. *this is, of course, just how everybody smells in their down time. When they’re working they all smell just as gross as Sanemi usually does lmao

My thoughts on Seabound!!! 🌊🌊🌊 (3/4)

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Yep yep yep, I'm liking this season a lot! 😍 Although I hope we'll get into a more frantic situation now, like with more battles and more bonding moments (Nya and Maya hopefully, but with Bentho too 🦈🦈🦈)! We got half a season to go, I'M READY!! 😎😎

Alright, here we go!

GENERAL THOUGHTS

I do like the season a lot, maybe MoM was a little more cohesive? Idk but it's not a big complain, I still love it so far 😍

Also maybe I would've liked more interactions between Nya and Maya about how they've been apart for so long, they had a chit chat but I would've loved even more. Maybe with Nya saying that it was fine and she grew up only to realize she is still hurt by that, even though it wasn't Maya's fault. I still like how they did it, I wished there was more that's it 🤷‍♀️

While I do make sense to Maya's behavior, that while it seems a little different from Hands of Time it had its logic in my opinion, maybe Ray feels a little weird? He seems less courageous than before, and it was established that he is a hothead like his son so that came off as unusual 🤔🤔

But I do love the fact that he's here and he's bonding with his son, for real, I've been waiting for this for so long so I'm happy nonetheless 🤩

Maybe I'm just easy to please and I take all I can get idk 😅

Oh, are we gonna address the wind element? It feels like we haven't really seen a Morro reference since Hands of Time, that would be cool! 😍 I mean, why even mentioning the wind then 😅😅

And yes the voice does help a lot, I'm sorry I'll keep saying it until the season is over 😂 (or even beyond? Please cast Giles again LEGO 🥺🥺🥺)

Of course it’s OK! I’ve always liked the idea of MC having a really interesting hobby and teaching the brothers about it. I feel like all the brothers would be very supportive of them, even if they all had various reactions to their hobby but I really love writing wholesome moments like that. -He was kinda drawn to your sketches, most of them carefully drawn and expressive, even some of the ones you scribbled out

-One specific drawing caught his eye though

-You drew him and Belphie together, with his twin brother’s head resting on his shoulder while Beel ate

-He was mesmerised by your talent and by your thoughtfulness

-Beel felt bad about it but he kept looking through your sketches, enchanted by everything in it

-You drew him and his brothers several times

-It’s safe to say the discovery of your drawings brightened his day

-Gave back your sketchbook later

-He apologised for going through it without your permission more than he needed to

-You had to accept his apology because he looked like a kicked puppy

-Feels very honoured whenever you let him look at your work

-Is more than happy to pose for you!

-But that might be a bit of a problem seeing as he tends to move around a lot

-“Whoa, that looks just like me! The food I’m eating looks really realistic too...which is making me hungry. Let’s go to Hell’s Kitchen, you can finish this there!”

-Supportive bean

-You gave him a family sketch of him and all of his brothers once

-Normally, he only likes gifts he can eat

-But he treasures that drawing more than food at times

-“This...this is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me! Thank you MC! But uh, someone’s missing in this drawing.”

-“Ah shit, who did I miss?”

-“You.”

-If anything ever happens to Beel or his happiness I swear to Lord Diavolo-

Belphie:

-OK but you left your notebook just sitting there right next to him???

-How do you expect him not to look through it?

-Belphie doesn’t care much for privacy

-And he doesn’t exactly have morals either

-He didn’t even know you were into drawing

-Which to be fair, wasn’t scandalous considering he sleeps 20 hours a day

-But he wants to be more involved in your interests so that’s why he took initiative with your sketchbook

-Idk what he was expecting but definitely not a sketch of him staring back at him

-His heart skipped a beat but I don’t even know if demons have hearts

-The cheeky little shit took pictures and may or may not have made on your drawings of him his wallpaper

-Most of the drawings were of him sleeping, surprising...absolutely no one

-“So that’s what you’re up to whenever I go to sleep huh? So cute~”

-But besides all that, he is really touched

-I mean, if there’s anyone undeserving of your love and respect is the piece of shit of who tried to kill you

-Yet here you are, continuously showering him with affection and now this

-Probably spent hours looking at your sketchbook while you were at R.A.D

-Didn’t say anything to you when you came back except handing your notebook back to you

-Though he was less of a smartass and more affectionate for the rest of the day

-Next morning, you took the liberty of waking up before him and sketching him again

-He grabbed your arm halfway through your doodling and grinned at you from under the covers

-“Drawing me again huh? You won’t mind me doing this while you’re at it then right?”

-Now he’s sleeping in your lap

-Whenever you show him your work, he makes a small approving noise but he’s seriously impressed

-Draw Lucifer or Lord Diavolo in any offensive manner and he will actually start giggling

-Gets all huffy puffy when you draw his brothers instead of him (we all know Beel is the exception)

-I may have a thing for Belphegour

FEH - My themed teams

Themed teams are part of the fun in Fire Emblem Heroes for me, as it's a way to put favorites together and even make a full team with all/some of their variants, while most of my teams are purely technical (i. e.: of a movement type, for a specific event, for lead units friends can use, etc.), I have made 5 themed teams that I keep and love, feel free to check them out right below, along with a few facts about me as a bonus:

She's so precious she has her own team! 💜🥺

One of my biggest favorites and a true sweetheart, I'm fond of both the original design and the revamp on FEH and the Cipher, she's too lovable and wholesome.

Her Fallen alt is indeed a project of mine but not one I use much, once Julia gets a colorless version, I'll replace this alt out in the team.

The best team ever

It includes my three most appreciated characters in the Fire Emblem series as well as Sara who I'm strongly fond of from Thracia 776.

I like green too

I sort of have a knack for this color in long hair, and fortunately, the cast in the series is not short of them. The designs are all beautiful and unique, plus each of them feels rather soothing to look at.

Annand and Erinys are specially noteworthy because they're both sisters actually, and they both are on the good side but only one of them is playable in Genealogy of the Holy War.

Despite Annand being a minor character, I always wanted to play a game in which she's officially playable, and this is one of the good things in Heroes: normally non-playable characters can actually be under your command and this game is free and easy to get around, which is nice.

Annand would probably be the biggest surprise here, I always quite liked her design and strong-willed yet kind personality, not exactly Julia-like though, but she's still a friendly girl. I was happy to see that I.S. remembered her.

The one and only rainbow tome theme so far

For appreciation post detailing why I like her so much, refer to it in here.

This team was made to celebrate her Legendary alt's addition and early acquisition soon after my birthday, as well as the completion of my first full rainbow team with same character.

Did I mention that I love how she smiles?

The sweetest team

I tried to aim for one girl of each color, based on these conditions:

Angelical designs: these girls all inspire calmness and possess a feature that strongly reminds me of angels.

Personality: it's mandatory that they show genuine kindness/tenderness/calmness in some form of another.

Sophia might look like the least fitting member here, and can't blame you if you think that way tbh, it's just that I was in need of a red member so that I didn't have to put OG Julia (because I've already placed a unit of her class) so I went with Sophia to complete the gang.

She's actually a dark magic user and a half-dragon, half-human girl, but she's so calming to look at and talk, showing also a great deal of wisdom, specially to matters related to her homeland in Nabata, Elibe.

Might put Hoshidan Summer Micaiah here later since she seems to fit the concept even better, but Idk for now, I'm happy with the team as it is.

And there's something in common among all of them

Yes, all those teams include only female characters, this is more about me so if you were only interested in the themed teams, don't read any further.

Anyway...

While it could just be said that it's because of natural attraction, that's not exclusively true and I'd like to say there's a deeper reason to it than only that.

Actually, I've always felt like I could overcome more of my own socialization problems Irl, when trying to talk to a girl rather than with a guy, during my studies at both high-school and school, I was often called for by my male classmates for making verbal jokes, and sometimes guys from other grades too (leading me to think they weren't genuine friends and some were rough or too tiresome to interact with). A few of them were actual friends which is nice, and were there for me and viceversa, but oftenmost I found myself more comfortable around girls, and even feeling confident to try to talk to the ones I used to feel shy to approach.

At least, this is how I believe my interest on fictional female character stems from, because I feel a similar sentiment and they often feel more approachable or friendlier than a guy, but this doesn't mean that I will never train a single guy in any given game there are some playable, or refuse the idea of a male-only game if there's fun awaiting, like on Team Fortress 2 which actually seems like fun.

For example, I'm very fond of Leif from Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, to the point I think of him as the best [Lord], and he is. He's not your usual [Lord], because unlike most of them, Leif was forced to flee from his hometown to rescue his closer allegiances (Nanna and Mareeta) from Raydrik's forces and had little resources to obtain and use later in his quest through Thracia (often having to capture enemies and take their possessions), he often had to watch the dire and unfair situation in his homeland, the southern half, suffering due to the infertile lands unlike the north. He's a good guy with a strong heart and disposition to learn new things, specially since he's well aware he's unable to wield the weapon of one of the Twelve Crusaders unlike his sister, who he didn't even know he had. His studious and diligent nature manifests in his promotion in FE4, which is why he becomes such a powerhouse able to use most non-preference weapons.

I also like Lex, he's a friendly guy with a playful and somewhat caring side, teaming up with Azelle since he was worried Azelle went off alone to help Sigurd and they're both quite close friends.

Veld is also kind of interesting, he's the big cheese behind nearly everything evil going on in Thracia, and sadly he's an easy boss, which seems a waste for such epic battle theme:

Eliwood also seems like the kind of guy I'd like and Hector is often fun to interact with, I specially like his dialogues with Oswin, they're real fun. (Oswin for FEH when?)

And I could go on but this is something I wanted to talk about me.
