Amortentia- Oliver Wood x OC
Oliver Wood x Jessica Stix
Description: After making an Amortentia potion in class Jessica smells Oliver. When he reveals what he smelled, how do they move on from there?
Word Count: 2.1k
Tumblr media
“Once the potion has been set, add the pearl dust. Your Amortentia potion should be a pearl pink color by the time you finish,” Professor Snape droned on as he walked around the classroom. Jessica added the pearl dust while Corinne stirred the concoction.
“Doesn’t it feel just a little bit inappropriate for a teacher to let his students make a love potion?” Jessica asked, glancing at her partner. Corinne only shrugged nonchalantly.
“Maybe, but the want to know what I’ll smell outweighs that thought,” she answered with a dreamy smile. Jessica rolled her eyes with a small smile.
“You’re such a romantic. Besides, I think we all know what you’ll smell.” She let out a giggle when her partner lightly shoved her shoulder. “Hey! Don’t spill the potion Rinne,” she added. Just a moment later, Professor Snape arrived at their desk.
“With the amount of messing around, I assume you two have finished your potion?” He sneered. Jessica glanced at Corinne, who nodded minutely.
“As a matter of fact, we are, professor. Would you like to take a look?” She scooted back when Snape leaned over her to look into their cauldron. He hummed somehow in a monotone way and stood straight once more.
“Very good. Now, sit quietly and wait for everyone else to finish theirs. Being done before everyone else doesn’t give you permission to horseplay,” he reprimanded, walking off when they mumbled a ‘yes sir.’
“Overgrown bat,” Jessica muttered under her breath, causing Corinne to have to hold back laughter. Fred and George noticed their almost silent giggles and turned around.
“And what are you two ladies laughing about?” Fred asked.
“And why aren’t we in on it?” George added
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Corinne teased, leaning forward a bit. George smirked a little and leaned against her desk in front of her.
“As a matter of fact I would, if you don’t mind,” he mumbled. Fred and Jessica fake gagged at the same time before laughing, making George roll his eyes.
“Hey, it’s not our fault that I finally made a move. You’re still apologizing to hamster girl,” he pointed at Fred. “And you’re pining over someone who cares more about a sport than himself.” He pointed at Jessica. Fred flicked the side of his head while Jessica rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. She glanced to a few tables away where Oliver Wood was sitting beside Lee Jordan, joking around now that they’d finished their potion. None of them could say anything else before Professor Snape walked to the front of the room once more.
“Now that all of you have finished, take a sniff of it then put it in the bottles on the back counter. Be careful not to ingest or get any on yourselves lest you fall victim to it,” he instructed. Corinne practically bounced in her seat as she leaned over the cauldron, inhaling the potion deeply while the other three watched her.
“I smell fireworks, fresh cotton, and sweets,” she spoke. George smirked and leaned back in his seat.
“Guess you just can’t get enough of me, huh?” He asked conceitedly. Corinne rolled her eyes, telling him to see what he smells.
“Cinnamon rolls, Water Lilies, and fresh air.” Corinne blushed profusely, making Jessica laugh because she had been right.
“All I smell is Mallorie’s perfume,” Fred said before urging Jessica to take a whiff. She stared at him warily before leaning forward and smelling the potion. Broomstick wax, the leather of a brand new Quaffle and cinnamon gum. She froze when she realized where she recognized those scents from. Oliver.
“Don’t be shy now, Jess,” George said, leaning against her and Corinne’s desk. “What’s it smell like?” She stared into the potion for a moment before sitting back down. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Oliver glance her way, but paid no mind to it.
“It smells….like none of your business.” She gave the three of them a pointed look as she stood. The three groaned and complained while she walked to the back counter. As she grabbed several bottles, she felt someone slide up next to her.
“So, love potions huh?” Oliver asked like the nerd he was, glancing at her out of the corner of his eye. Jessica laughed and blushed at their close proximity.
“I guess so,” she responded, grabbing a few bottles for Fred and George.
“Can I ask what you smelled?” He finally looked at her.
“You can ask, but I won’t answer,” she said, heading back to her table. The twins and Corinne continued to pester Jessica about what she smelled while she filled up the bottles. Eventually she set the cauldron down and stared at them frustratedly.
“Alright? You know what I smelled? Broomstick wax, new Quaffles, and cinnamon gum,” she spoke. “You want to know who that is? Oliver bloody Wood.” Her answer seemed to shock them. Not because of the answer itself, but because of how accidentally loud she said it. It was loud enough to gain Oliver’s attention. With one final look at Lee, Oliver stood once again and walked over to Jessica.
“Want to know what I smelled?” He asked, making her spin around so fast they thought the chair would break. “Carmel corn, vanilla sugar lotion and roses,” he answered without hesitation. Jessica blushed profusely, processing what that meant.
“Me?” Was all she could say. Oliver nodded, but just as he was about to answer, Professor Snape approached them.
“Mr. Wood, if you want to play at the quidditch game tomorrow, I highly suggest you get back to your seat and help Mr. Jordan finish with the bottles.” Oliver began to respond, but a glare from the teacher made him walk back to his seat, shooting a helpless look to Jessica.
“Okay, what just happened? Did Oliver seriously just announce that he loved you?” Corinne asked, holding back her excitement. Jessica didn’t answer, too embarrassed to look anywhere but at the potions in front of her.
Unfortunately, Jessica didn’t get a chance to talk to Oliver about what happened for the rest of that day. Classes got in the way as well as tutoring sessions with first years in between. After dinner she just went straight to bed, much to her and Oliver’s mutual disappointment.
Tumblr media
She didn’t see him the next morning at breakfast either, but to be fair she didn’t see anyone on the Gryffindor quidditch team. They were practicing one last time before the game that day, and she understood that. But it also sucked because she couldn’t attend the game today, she promised to help Professor McGonagall set up for an upcoming exam for extra credit. She couldn’t just back out last minute, that wasn’t her style. So, she had to come to terms that she just probably wouldn’t be able to see Oliver yet another day.
She couldn’t manage to finish before the game came to an end. She could faintly hear Lee yell that Gryffindor won yet again, causing her and Professor McGonagall to smile. The two congratulated each other and continued their work. It was half an hour later that they finally finished. She bid the professor a farewell, grabbed her bag and made her way out. As she stepped out of the classroom, she ran into Alicia Spinnet.
“Oh Jessica! Just the girl I was looking for,” Alicia exclaimed happily.
“Hello Alicia, congratulations on the win,” Jessica responded cheerfully.
“Thanks, but that’s not why I came to find you. Oliver has requested your presence on the quidditch field, says it’s pretty important.” Jessica’s cheeks were painted a nice red color when she said that, so she thanked the girl and made her way to the quidditch field. Her stomach did front flips as she thought about what he wanted to say to her that was important enough that they had to be alone.
Oliver was on his broom yet again, just riding around with no particular destination. She smiled at how carefree he looked up in the air like that. After watching him for a short while, she finally cupped her hands around her mouth.
“Hey superstar!” She called, waving when he gazed down at her. He waved in return then leaned forward on his broom to ride over to her.
“Have you ever ridden a broom?” Oliver asked, still a few feet above her.
“Not since first year,” she said while shaking her head. “I never really took to it.”
“Well that’s probably because you didn’t have a good teacher,” he laughed, holding out his hand for her. “Hop on.”
“Don’t let Madam Hooch hear you say that,” she joked in response, taking his hand. Oliver helped her onto his broom with ease and smiled when she wrapped her arms around his middle. He glanced back at her.
“Ready?” He asked, and Jessica was just about to ask what he meant when they suddenly shot into the air. She let out a shocked scream and tightened her grip.
“Oliver Wood you’re crazy!” She exclaimed shakily. He laughed and started flying around the field, increasing and decreasing height at times.
“Crazy for you Jessica Stix!” He responded over the wind. Jessica’s face turned red and she hid her face in his back. She began to enjoy flying around, and laughed when they flew through the hoops.
Oliver didn’t slow down until the sun started showing signs of setting. He flew over to the stands and helped her into it, though he still stayed on his broom in front of her. Jessica patted down her hair after the wind blew through it crazily and smiled coyly at him.
“Well?” He asked, making her laugh.
“I have to admit, it was a lot more flying with you than it was flying with Madam Hooch teaching me. I had a lot of fun.” Oliver smiled proudly and inched his broom closer to the stands. They were silent for a moment, just staring at each other with stupid smiles.
“So, you love me?” He finally asked, looking as if he was almost scared of the answer being no. He practically sighed in relief when she nodded.
“I do, probably since second year when you-” she started, but he finished.
“When I punched Marcus Flint for trying to look up your skirt.” She nodded in response, then smiled wider.
“You love me?” She asked, making the tips of his ears turn pink.
“Since second year when you helped me with Transfigurations.” Jessica was surprised at that. The memory seemed so mundane to her, but apparently it was everything to him.
“Merlin, all the time we wasted pining over each other,” she breathed out with a laugh. Oliver nodded, seemingly blown away at the realization. Jessica didn’t realize how close they were until his hand touched hers. She glanced down at his hand now on top of hers on the railing of the stands. When she looked up, she felt another pair of lips press against hers. It didn’t take long for her to return the kiss. Oliver’s free hand went to the back of her head then slid to cup her cheek. When they pulled away, they were breathless. Their lips were still just millimeters away.
“Sorry, I probably should have asked for permission first,” he whispered, his eyes now half lidded. Jessica smiled and rested her free hand on the arm that cupped her cheek.
“I’ll forgive you if you kiss me again,” she mumbled in response. Oliver laughed a little.
“I think I can manage that,” he responded before kissing her again. When they pulled away again, they just stared into each other’s eyes. Jessica could now notice the specks of green and yellow hidden around his brown eyes. Finally, they separated and Jessica leaned against the railing with a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eyes.
“Would you like to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?” Oliver asked gently.
“I would like nothing more,” she responded happily. “We should probably get to dinner, I know you probably haven’t eaten today.” She gave him a reprimanding look that made him look down and laugh.
“I never eat before a game, you know that,” he stated while she made her way down the stands back onto the field.
“And it’s a terrible habit to have,” she scolded as he reached her and hopped off his broom. He held his broom in one hand and wrapped his other arm around her shoulders.
“I’m just saying, I haven’t lost yet so it can’t be that bad.” Jessica rolled her eyes playfully.
“Yeah yeah,” she responded sarcastically as they walked off the field towards the Great Hall for a celebration.

Full Name: Taylor Ellerson Wood (nee Retting) DOB: September 12th 1976 Age: 47 years old Parents: Archibald and Ruby Retting Siblings: Only Child Blood Status: Half-Blood House: Gryffindor Married: November 13th 2000 (24 years old) Children: Beckham, Callum, Mackenzie, Andrew, and Ariana
Appearance: - Light Brown Hair - Green Eyes - Full Lips and Covered in Freckles - Very classy and Long Lashes
Nicknames: - Tay - Mo Ghràdh (My Love) - Leannan (Lover / Sweetheart)
Job: Stay at Home Mother
Personality: Taylor is a very nurturing woman, loves her children and builds her life around them. When she and Oliver were broken up is when she realized that all she wanted in life was to be a mother. That's why when they eventually got back together, Beckham was born 9 months later. She has always taken her children's friends under her wing and was a mother figure to the ones with no mother at all.
Special Talent: She is an excellent seamstress. When her and Oliver were in Fourth Year he had ripped his robe during practice and was going to throw it out and she had taken the opportunity to fix herself. She knew that she could easily just use her magic to make it brand new, but her mother had been a muggle and taught her how to sew. She didn't have a lot of things to show off, but she knew how to sew, so any chance she could she would. When her and Oliver were in Sixth year, they were making out and he had torn her shirt to practically shreds. He felt terrible, offered to pay for a new one, but she stopped him. Taylor had reminded him of that day in the Fourth year and sewed it right up.
Relationship: Taylor and Oliver met in 1988 when they were 12 years old. They slowly became best friends and were seen everywhere together. She was never interested in Quidditch but was at every single game to support him. When they were 16, Oliver had gotten into a terrible accident during a game and was left in the Hospital Wing for 2 weeks. Taylor had visited every day even when he was asleep or unresponsive. When he woke up she was there and sobbed into his arms. That was the day she had confessed her love for him. In 1995 a year after they had graduated, they broke up. It was mutual, however neither really wanted to. He had just started playing professionally and was stressed out and never home. This put a strain on their relationship, but they pushed through and got back together in 1998. Like previously mentioned, the break up let them think about their futures and what they truly wanted in life. They had both thought about starting a family, though with war going on it wasn't ideal. When Taylor had found out she was pregnant with Beckham she cried to Oliver's mums about it. She didn't know what to do. Oliver was thrilled though, and they managed to raise 5 lovely children together. Many people were jealous of her relationship with Oliver. She got to live a lavish life due to her husband being a famous quidditch star, and they always seemed more in love as the days go on. No one knows how they do it, but they do.

FAVORITE DYNAMICS — ELLE DAVIES & OLIVER WOOD in KISS WITH A FIST, a Harry Potter Fanfiction.
SO, Elle despises Oliver, and Oliver despises Elle, and it’s a Quidditch rivalry that fills the stands past capacity when it comes time for Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor matches, and Elle likes it that way. Except, perhaps somewhere inside of her, Elle Davies doesn’t hate Oliver Wood as much as she likes to think. Just perhaps, while she shoots a loathsome glare his way as he raves about his most recent glorious win, her heart does a somersault. Just perhaps, as she word vomits (angrily, of course) to her dorm mates about the audacity of Oliver fucking Wood, something other than hate broils subtly within her stomach.
BUT, she doesn’t say this out loud, in fact she very easily doesn’t notice it. And anyway, she has more on her mind than boys. With her O.W.L exams approaching at the end of the year, and a rigorous training schedule to adhere to in preparation to slaughter the other houses in the infamous Quidditch House Cup, she won’t have any thoughts of Oliver Wood other than how she’s going to absolutely smother him in their upcoming game.
She thinks.

Shower Secret
Oliver Wood x fem!Hufflepuff!reader
Words: 0,7k
Warnings: making out, indication of sex, Harry getting pushed off his broom(?), indication of nudity, grammar mistakes (maybe? English isn't my first language)

There wouldn't be any reason to keep the relationship between a Gryffindor and a Hufflepuff a secret. If the Hufflepuff wasn't the shame of an all Slytherin family. So, Oliver Wood had to keep his relationship extra secret with the outsider girl.
With her reputation and the things that happened to her, Y/n couldn't be less worth to her parents. But with You-know-who being out and about, even her dissapointed parents didn't want her to get into it too much. So they kept an eye on her and made sure someone always watched what she was doing. If her parents found out she was dating some gryffindor, y/n didn't want to challenge someone and guess what they would do to Oliver.
After the Quidditch match against Hufflepuff, Oliver let himself ignore everyone that tried to come near him. That also counted for her.
When Y/n tried to make him talk to her, he only pushed her off and walked past her into a direction she couldn't see from the people that were running in her vision.
Harry was just being thrown off his broom by a dementor and now everyone needed to know what was going on with him, immediatly.
Y/n made her way to the Hospital Wing, pushing past the people who gave her dirty looks in the process or even yelling at her to get out. Fred and George apeared at the door, wanting to tell the others off when their eyes found Y/n's e/c one's.
"He's in the washingrooms," George called out to her, knowing who she truly cared for more.
Y/n rolled her eyes when she had to push past the ever growing crowed again. She made her way to the washingrooms, ignoring the eyes she felt on her as she past through the halls of Hogwarts.
The air was cold and in the process of almost freezing to death (or at least feeling like she will), Y/n opened the door without knocking. No one else was in there without Oliver.
"Olli?" She called out for him. The water stopped spilling and Y/n could hear the defeated and disappointed sigh leaving hef boyfriend's lips.
"Go away," He told her. "I'm not in the mood to talk about what happened."
Y/n slowly stripped off her shirt and trousers, only left in her underware, when she heard the shower being turned on again. She opened the shower curtain that hit Oliver and peeked inside. Oliver was leaning with his head against the wall, his eyes not darting in her direction, but instead they were focused on the crowd.
"We still lost," He said. "It's so unfair. Harry should've just got that snitch and then we would've won and still have a chance for the Quidditch cup."
Y/n touched his spine with her nose, leaning into his body. "You know it's not that easy. You know that better than anyone. And you still have a chance on the Quidditch Cup." She argued.
"But-" He stopped, not knowing what he wanted to argue himself.
"It's gonna be alright," She assured him, making him sigh again, but this time in relief. He always had someone who supported him. He knew that now better than ever.
"What if someone walks in?"
Y/n thought for a minute, would her answer scare him off? "I don't care," she whispered, kissing just below his ear and leaving small pecks down his neck. "They will probably out before noticing who it is anyway." Both laughed at that.
Oliver turned around, his hands holding her hips, while hers laid on his chest, drawing small shapes on his skin. "You make me go crazy."
"Oh yeah?" She asks teasingly, her toungue pulled between her teeth.
"Extremly." He kisses her, deeply devouring the taste of her lips. "I actually just train this hard for Quidditch to impress you." He breaks the kiss.
"Liar." Y/n answers without hesitation.
"I've got caught," He inhales sharply as her hands traveled lower with each word he spoke.
"You make me go crazy as well," She answeres, pulling him into another hot kiss.
The steam of the shower made the tension between them grow more lustful.
"Do you wanna continue this here or somewhere more private?" Y/n asked, pulling away and almost slipping from the water under her feet. Oliver held her steady and laughed as she straightend up again. "And not so slippery," She added.

This is my first Draco imagine, I wrote it in a way that would let the reader some free mind choices, and to suit any year they wish (well probably not the first 2😅).
There’s no disclaimer, but if you want to be picky there are some swearings.

Friend-ship -Draco Malfoy
Tumblr media
It was the final morning period, and the two of them were on their way to Snape's classroom after finishing the task of restocking and inventorying his storage room. Astrid was once again assisting Draco, who had received detention for the second time that week. His first detention had been with Mrs. Pomfrey, where he was tasked with taking care of the plants in the back greenhouse and organizing the area. Initially, he had insisted on doing it alone, as he didn't mind the solitary work. However, Astrid had convinced him otherwise with a few persuasive arguments. Today, he found her waiting for him in front of Snape's storage room, inventory list in hand. Draco decided not to argue this time and got to work. It took them the full two hours until lunch to complete the task.
Once they were done, she walked with him to the Potions class but waited outside as he handed Snape the inventory list. She overheard Snape's comment, "I am glad you have friends to stand up for. Don't take advantage of their kindness by letting them do your detention work." Draco remained silent, and as she heard his footsteps approaching, she instinctively took a few steps back, finding the stone wall suddenly fascinating.
As they walked to the Great Hall together, she spoke first, "Thank you, Draco."
"What are you thanking me for?" he asked.
"I know why you got detention today," she replied.
"I don't know what you are talking about," he retorted.
"No matter what people say, you are a great friend. That's why, maybe next time, just let them run their mouths. No one should get detention for defending their friend's honor in their absence. That's absurd, even from Snape. Also, I feel guilty when I know I am the reason you got detention."
"Now who's absurd? I didn't get detention for you," he replied, turning and continuing to walk.
"Hurry up, I am starving!"
Of course, when they arrived, everyone had already finished eating and was chattering. Astrid sat between Daphné and Theo. Daphné was engaged in conversation with some Hufflepuff girls, gossiping about some dramas that had been circulating around the school for some time now, with no concrete evidence.
"Say, Astrid, how's the storage room?" Theo asked, his gaze shifting to Draco sitting across from him. Blaise playfully dropped an arm around Draco's shoulder, smirking at Theo, clearly finding the situation amusing.
Since the beginning of the year, they had been trying to set Draco and Astrid up as a couple, claiming they would be a perfect match for each other. However, neither of them played along with the idea. Draco saw it as impractical, not viewing Astrid in a romantic light, and Astrid simply laughed it off, as she ‘had her eye on someone else’ she often said. In their first year, she may have had a minor crush on Draco, but it had long passed. Her friend, Olivia, had developed a crush on Draco unpractically at the same time. Astrid and Olivia had met on the train to Hogwarts during their first journey to the school. They had both helped Hermione and Neville search for Neville's escaped frog. During that search, they had their first encounter with Draco. Olivia had always been very open and verbal on her feelings. So when Astrid realized she might have a crush on Draco too, she dismissed those feelings, not only because her friendship with Olivia was more important, but also because she couldn't be sure of what she was feeling at the age of 11. As the years passed, Olivia's crush on Draco didn't wane, and she began referring to it as "love." She made no effort to hide her affection, but Draco consistently maintained that she was just a friend.
"Well, it looks better than it did two hours ago. Honestly, I believe Snape only assigns detentions as an opportunity to avoid doing the work himself. It's quite strenuous!" Astrid commented.
The boys laughed.
They ate a bit more before heading out. Just as they left, a voice called out to Astrid from behind. Pansy asked if they should wait, but Astrid declined, telling her friends to go ahead.
Pansy led the way, pulling Theo and Blaise to follow.
"Hey, Oliver. Everything alright?" Astrid inquired.
"Great," he replied. "Listen, I keep saying it, but the other day I’d you would not have help me, I don’t know what would would have happened! So I want to thank you properly. Would you spend some time with me on Saturday?"
Astrid blinked a few times, surprised. It wasn't the first time she had helped Oliver with some tasks, and he had done the same for her when needed. They knew they could rely on each other.
"I know it's a bit last minute and out of nowhere, so if..."
"It's okay," Astrid interrupted. "I don't have anything planned for Saturday, so sure."
"Really?" Oliver beamed. "That's fantastic! In that case, I'll wait for you at the clock tower at 4o'clock."
"Perfect, 4 o'clock on Saturday," Astrid confirmed with a warm smile.
"Oh, and just a heads up, wear some comfortable shoes," Oliver added before heading off.
Astrid happily agreed, saying, "Good, comfy shoes, noted."
She arrived on time for her History of Magic class. Professor Binns, as usual, was delivering lengthy lectures. Astrid enjoyed the class, unlike some of her friends, and was diligently taking notes. While she was in the middle of taking notes, a paper butterfly landed on her desk, catching Blaise's attention as well.
Opening the note, it asked, "Did Oliver came to talk to you?" She looked up to see Emma and Kelly, two Hufflepuff girls she didn't particularly like, staring at her.
In response, she gave them a big smile and crushed the note in her hand before returning her attention to Binns. Unfortunately, her action prompted a second note: "You said yes!? That's vile! You don't even like him!" She glanced at Emma and Kelly, who were now glaring at her.
Astrid shrugged in response to their disapproval, once again crushing the note.
The afternoon passed quickly, and Astrid spent some time studying in the library with Hermione, Ginny, Luna, and Cho. Despite being in different houses, they had a strong friendship.
Once their study session was over, they walked together to dinner.
"I sometimes can't believe you're in Slytherin," Blaise remarked.
"Don't be close-minded, Blaise," Astrid replied.
"He's right, Astrid," Pansy chimed in. "I love you, but I've had my doubts too."
"Blaise, get out of Pansy's body!" Astrid teased, giving her a playful nudge.
They laughed until Astrid noticed the serious expression on Draco's face. Olivia was sitting beside him, talking about something, but he clearly wasn't listening.
"Draco?" Astrid tried to get his attention.
"Draco! Hey!" She waved her hand in front of him. He frowned at her before abruptly standing up and heading out.
"Draco?" They called out together.
"Did something happen?" Astrid inquired.
"No," they answered almost in unison
"Was he like that all day?" Theo asked.
"He actually listened in Binns' class!" he exclaimed. "Took notes and all."
"On the contrary of you, Astrid." Pointed Blaise arching an eyebrow
"That's not true, I took notes!"
"Yeah, between receiving notes," he chimed in.
Everyone around them agreed, "You people need to mind your own lives."
"Well, I am worried you won't get top marks. You're the best, and without your brain, we won't get enough points to win the cup. We can't have you distracted," Olivia expressed her concern.
"The points don't count just for me, Olivia," Astrid replied, taking a sip of water.
"What did Emma write to you anyway?" Pansy inquired.
A brief silence fell, and Pansy had to repeat the question.
"She wanted to know if Oliver had talked to me."
"Ah, that girl!" Olivia responded, sounding annoyed.
"What did Oliver talk to you about, by the way?" Theo suddenly remembered their encounter after lunch.
"I think he asked me out."
"What do you mean, you think?" Pansy asked.
"Like a date?" Blaise questioned.
"Well, he wanted to do a little gesture to thank me for all those times I helped him around... I don't know if it's a date."
Olivia beamed, her smile reaching her ears, while the others seemed unusually quiet. To Astrid's surprise.
"You said yes, right? Oh, I am so happy!" Olivia exclaimed.
Besides her glee, the mood had oddly shifted to awkwardness.
"I did," Astrid answered awkwardly, mirroring the mood, very confused.
"Oh, that's so exciting! Where is he taking you?"
"I'm not sure... he just said to wear comfy shoes."
"Oh, whoa! I guess he's going to surprise you!" Olivia's enthusiasm was contagious, but for some reason, Astrid smile, but couldn't match her glee.

Chapter 7
Tumblr media
CORDELIA
As Lucius had promised, Cordelia had been grounded for the rest of the summer. She spent all her days inside her room, only Charm taking her company, thankfully.
But she missed Sienna and she spent the last weeks of August to cross the days on her calendar. And finally her last day of summer had finally arrived.
“Miss Cordelia,” the timid voice of Dobby made her look up, as she kept her hold on Charm “Have you called for Dobby?”
“Indeed,” she said getting up “Can you help me with my books? I fear I’m running out of time.”
Dobby nodded his head, before moving toward her library. Cordelia observed him Dobby was Malfoy’s only house elf, and Lucius treated him far worse than he supposed to.
Sometimes he was almost cruel. Lately more than ever. Or so she head heard by Lucius’ voice and the way he spoke to Dobby.
The house helf had become rather jumpy lately and more scared. Lucius was commanding for Dobby to help him in whatever he was trying to hide inside that house, and Dobby seemed to be affected by that.
“Dobby,” Cordelia called as she put some of her clothes in her truck, making the house elf let out a nervous gasp “You are spending quite the awful time with Lucius.”
She could almost see Dobby hold a breath.
“And he is been insufferable lately,” she thought out loud “Of course don’t say this to him.”
“Dobby won’t,” he shook his head, making the top of his long ears move.
“What is he up to?” She asked “Why does he need your help so much?”
As she finished asking her question, Dobby gasped loudly, putting his tiny hands over his mouth and shooting is head violently. The movement made Charm bark as Cordelia’s eyes widened.
“Dobby cannot say, miss” he said almost pleading “Dobby cannot.”
He was starting to become erratic, looking around surely looking for something to punish himself. So Cordelia stepped forward.
“You do not have to tell me, Dobby” at her words Dobby started to calm down “I was just curious.”
The house elf’s reaction at her question only left Cordelia more curious and worried. If Dobby behaved that way, it could only mean that Lucious had ordered him to keep his mouth shut about anything that he was up to. And if the master commanded, the house elf had to obey.
That didn’t seem good. Not one bit.
But luckily the next day she was off to Hogwarts and finally she could get away from those people.
“I trust you to behave as a pure blood should this year,” Lucious told her as they get through the barrier of the platform 9¾, but Cordelia didn’t bother answer as she pushed her truck along the platform. As she arrived at the last wagon, she noticed Oliver Wood putting his truck inside.
“Hello, Wood” she said stopping behind him. The boy turned his head a little, before showing a smile.
“Hi, Cordelia” he said in his heavy Scottish accent “How was your summer?”
Cordelia stopped herself from taking a breath and flashed a smile.
“All good,” she said “Yours?”
“Good,” he answered with a nod “I’ve practiced a lot.”
She was sure he did. Surely he had already planned the entire training for the team.
“Do you need help with the truck?” He asked.
“Please,” was her answer as she took Charm from the ground, letting room for Wood. As he positioned the truck in the wagon, he jumped off.
“Thank you,” she said, but he only shrugged his shoulders before Charm started to bark waving his tale happily. As Cordelia turned she noticed Sienna coming closer with a smirk.
“Well, hello there,” she said, causing a little frown on Cordelia’s face “Nice to see you, Wood.” Then she stopped right next to Cordelia.
“You too,” he said before Alicia Spinnet called for him as she was waiting next to Katie Bell and Angelina Jonson.
“I’ll see you at Hogwarts girls,” he said as he started to walk away.
“See you,” Cordelia said “And thank you.”
As she turned to Sienna, she noticed that strange smirk on her face.
“Why are you look at me like that?”
“I’ve seen you all cozy” Sienna said nudging Cordelia that shook her head.
“We were far from cozy,” she answered with a scoff “He just helped me.”
“If you say so,” Sienna shrugged her shoulders.
“I know so,” Cordelia said “Hello by the way.”
“Hello,” she answered flashing a bright smile, before observing Cordelia “What happened at home?”
“Just got locked up in my room,” Cordelia said adjusting her hold on Charm as she observed where her relatives were.
“But things at home have been strange,” at that Sienna frowned, turning slightly to look at the Malfoys as well.
“You have to tell me.”
With that the two girls entered the train to start to look for an empty compartment so they could talk alone.
“I haven’t seen much,” Cordelia started as Sienna closed the door “Since I was locked up almost everyday, but our house elf was acting strangely.”
“The little slave?” Sienna asked with a frown, but Cordelia shook her head.
“We’ve talked about it, he is not a slave.”
“And I told you that if you don’t pay him, its called slavery.” Sienna answered sitting in front of Cordelia who rolled her eyes.
“Anyway,” she continued “Lucius wouldn’t leave him alone, and he was acting rather erratic.”
“The slave?” Asked Sienna.
“No- well yes, him too, but even Lucius,” Cordelia said “And when I asked Dobby, he told me he was commanded to say nothing.”
“Aren’t you his slaver too?” Sienna asked ignoring the glare that Cordelia was giving to her “Wasn’t he supposed to tell you, if you command it to him?”
But Cordelia shook her head.
“It doesn’t work like that” Cordelia said “If he is bound to say nothing, he cannot say anything to anyone. And that just left me more curious then before.”
“Even his little trip in Diagon Alley was rather curious,” Sienna said crossing her arms, showing her black polished nails.
“He is up to something…” Cordelia muttered even if she had no idea what it could be. Lucius had become so paranoid after he came to know of the inspections… she wondered what he was hiding inside Malfoy Manor.
“Don’t you think it is a bit quiet?” Sienna asked, that question made Cordelia listen closely. She could hear the students getting ready to leave for Hogwarts, but she wouldn’t call it quite.
“No..?” Cordelia said unsure.
Sienna looked at the watch on her wrist.
“We’ll leave in five minutes,” she said with a frown “And Weasley hasn’t shown up yet?”
Cordelia tried to hold in a chuckle “I’m trying to figure out if you are relieved or bothered by it.”
“Of course I'm relieved,” Sienna scoffed, making Cordelia nod.
“I’m sure you are,” she said as Sienna moved her head in agreement “He must have finally lost his interest in you.”
As she spoke, Sienna frowned.
“Cordy,” she said “Not that I care, but he wrote to me even last week.”
Cordelia let out a snort. She wondered if Sienna listened to herself sometimes.
Suddenly though the door opened showing exactly the subject of their discussion.
“We made it!”
“Oh, bugger,” Sienna said.
“We were sure we were going to miss the train,” he said as he set next to Sienna.
“Where’s George?” Asked Cordelia as Charm hopped down to go sniff Fred’s leg.
“He went looking for Lee” he explained still taking deep breaths “But I think that he spotted Fay, so he used it as an excuse.”
“Why were you missing the train?” Sienna asked with a frown.
“You see Sien,” he said “Big family, one car, too little of time.”
“What’s a car?” Cordelia asked with a frown.
“The one thing that is always in my driveway,” Sienna tried to explain.
“The thing that I like?” She asked, but Sienna smiled.
“No that’s the motorbike” she said “The other, the big one.”
“Oh..” Cordelia said nodding her head in understanding, but then was Sienna the one to confused.
"Why does your family has a car?"
Apparently, Arthur Weasley had taken one of those muggles' object because he loved everything regarding muggles. Cordelia could just immagine Lucius' reaction if he would ever enter the Weasleys' house. She would have given everything to wittness to such a sight. As they were talking the train started moving and it didn't take long before George entered the compartment and with him there was the youngest Weasley girl, Cordelia remembered her from that day in Diagon Alley.
"Come on, Ginny," he said pointing next to Fred, "Sit there."
Fred made space for his little sister and then he looked his brother.
"Penny, Ron and Harry are in another compartment?" he asked, but George shook his head.
"Penny said she would go to find them," he said sitting, "With the run she wasn't sure where they are." "Did they make it on the train?" Sienna asked looking at the two boys.
"Of course they did," Fred said, "They were just behind us."

going as each other’s “platonic” date to a mutual friend’s wedding
agreeing to kiss each other “just to see what it’s like”
punching the guy who broke your best friend’s heart at prom
refusing to admit your feelings but making up ridiculous excuses to spend time together
“i’m not in love with my best friend” but everyone knows you're full of shit
there’s only one bed, which we decide to share (obviously been waiting for this moment)
friends and family think we’re dating because we’re always acting like a couple
sharing clothes, we're just that comfortable with each other
accidentally blurting out “i love you” during a conversation
“i’ll kiss you right now to prove i don’t feel anything for you” but the kiss proves the exact opposite
finding old letters you wrote to each other as kids and reminiscing
is there a reason you're always staring at me in class?
knowing your best friend inside out, everything from their favorite song, to the name of their stuffed animal in second grade
hiding your feelings, not wanting to ruin the friendship, even going as far as avoiding each other completely, yet always ending up sharing an intimate moment
immediately choosing each other for a group project, but spending more time making out than working
the first kiss and the realization of “it’s always been you”
starting to see each other in a different light
i’m watching you date all these other people and i don't know what it is i'm feeling but it's definitely not jealousy
you don't have anyone to go to prom with, so i volunteer, but we end up ditching early, instead driving around town, stopping for some cheap burgers and incredible sights
complimenting your best friend over small things, that realistically only someone who’s in love with that person would notice
that “oh shit” moment when the realization hits you
the “date” that isn't really a date but feels like one
showing up at each other’s house late at night
you're upset and disappear for a couple hours, and i'm the only one who knows where to find you (which is at the location we always hung out at as children)
one dropping hints about their feelings, the other one is completely oblivious
hearing your best friend say you’re nothing more than friends, dying a little on the inside because you wish it was more than that
family and friends constantly pointing out how compatible you are with each other

Best of the Night- Oliver Wood x OC
Oliver Wood x Jessica Stix
Description: Night Quidditch is one of the best things to ever happen to the houses. Oliver loves when Jessica is the referee
Word Count: 1.8k
Tumblr media
Jessica sat by the door of her dorm, listening carefully for the Prefects to pass by. The other girls in the room giggled and whispered to each other, prompting Jessica to shush them before pressing her ear against the door. After another few minutes of waiting, she finally heard footsteps passing by.
“I’m just saying, I believe the best would be Poppy Seed,” the girl Prefect, Faye, spoke the last two words a bit louder than the others. That was the password Jessica needed.
“It’s go time,” she told Alicia and Angelina. The girls grinned and stood immediately. Jessica grabbed her things and opened the door as quietly but quickly as she could. Time was of the essence of course. Giving that particular password meant that the patrolling professors were on the other side of the castle so they had around seven minutes to get out of there without getting caught. When they plus Katie Bell made their way down the steps to the Gryffindor common room, being careful to avoid making heavy footsteps.
At the portrait hole, Angelina tapped the portrait three times to the rhythm you’d have when saying the word Gryffindor. Seconds later it opened and the Fat Lady smiled at them.
“I hear footsteps nearby, you must hurry,” she urged the girls. They nodded and, with Jessica leading them, ran towards the quidditch field.
The guys had already gone so the twins, Harry and Oliver were already on the field by the time the girls had grabbed their brooms and arrived.
“Well it’s about time,” Fred called upon seeing them.
“We thought you’d forgotten about us,” George continued at the same volume as they lowered to the ground a bit. Alicia rolled her eyes and smacked his arm lightly.
“As if you could even dream about playing without us,” she responded, mounting her broom and kicking off. Jessica’s eyes widened and she looked around to see if anyone in the castle had heard them yelling.
“It’s okay love,” Oliver spoke as his broom lowered to the ground enough that he was hovering a bit above her. “Lee already cast the Quieting Charm around the field. No one can hear us outside of the stands.” Jessica sighed in relief.
“Well, don’t you look dazzling?” Oliver continued with a small smirk. Jessica rolled her eyes before responding.
“I’m in my pajamas, same as always Oli,” she stated, mounting her broom. “And flirting with the ref won’t get you anything.” With that, she kicked off into the air until she was at her boyfriend’s height. Oliver sighed dramatically, but laughed when she giggled. After sharing a single fleeting kiss, Olive flew back up to the rest of his team while Jessica watched.
Tonight they would be playing another game of Night Quidditch. Players and referee(s) would get to the field first with the help of their house Prefects and the portraits in the halls. For the male team members and referees, the password was Honey Milk. For the female players and referees, it was Poppy Seed. After that came anyone who wanted to watch. Their passwords were Ginger for the boys and Lemon for the girls.
The games were usually Gryffindor and Hufflepuff vs Slytherin and Ravenclaw, but tonight they’d switch it up with Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw switching sides. Jessica would be the referee tonight while Lee Jordan commented (as usual). Since it wasn’t an official game, nothing really mattered so it was basically a friendly competition. Even the animosity between Gryffindor and Slytherin was lax during the games. It was a way for everyone to unwind after a busy week and since the games were always on Saturday nights, no one had to worry about being tired during school.
It didn’t take long for the other teams to arrive. They only had to wait another ten minutes before spectators arrived, Gryffindor first, then Slytherin, then Ravenclaw and finally Hufflepuff. Once everyone was there, Lee stepped up to the microphone, announcing the game.
“As soon as referee Jessica Stix blows her whistle, the game will commence,” Lee finished, shooting the girl a nod. Jessica smiled in response before making a whistle appear. She gave a single nod to Dinah Fanley and Anastasia Lestrange, who stood on the ground of the field, before blowing loudly into the whistle. Immediately after, Dinah and Anastasia opened up the boxes that the Quaffle, Bludgers and Golden Snitch were in. The Snitch was out instantly and the two threw the other four balls into the air. Since the Quieting Charm was cast, the stands had no reason to be quiet with their cheering.
“Hey Jess!” The girl’s younger sister Judith called from the Gryffindor stands beside Seamus. “Try not to let your boyfriend cloud your judgement, yeah?” She teased. Jessica blushed and rolled her eyes in response before moving out of the way of an oncoming Bludger.
“Watch where you hit those things, Lively!” She yelled at Stuart Lively, the Slytherin Beater. The boy seemed to ignore her, making her huff and roll her eyes. She was already ready to penalize him if he was still going to play dirty like that.
“You okay Jess?” Oliver called from in front of the hoops. She shot him a thumbs up then continued flying around. She could faintly hear Cedric Diggory getting on to Stuart for his little stunt, which made her smile. Leave it to Cedric to put someone in their place, even with eloquent words.
Tumblr media
It ended up being a very intense game that made Jessica glad that no one outside of the field could hear the stands. Gryffindor and Hufflepuff won after Cho Chang caught the Snitch with Harry’s help. Jessica made the teams shake hands then shooed the losing team off the field.
Getting back to the different common rooms required the same amount of work with the Prefects telling them when the coast was clear, but everyone managed just fine. Jessica thanked Cedric one last time for his help with Stuart then headed to the Gryffindor tower. The team was already inside celebrating the win in the dorm rooms by the time she got through the portrait hole. She walked up to the twins’s dorm and walked in without knocking. The team, Lee, Mallorie, Corinne and Anastasia either sat on the desks, beds or the floor talking and laughing.
“And there’s the best referee in the world,” Fred announced, being the first one to notice her presence. George continued after also facing her.
“Great work tonight Jess,” he complimented, making Jessica laugh as she walked over to the group.
“You guys are just saying that because you won,” she responded, ruffling their hair.
“Maybe,” they muttered with a shrug. Oliver grinned and moved over on Fred’s bed so she could sit beside him. Once she sat down, he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and kissed the top of her head.
Usually everyone was exhausted after a night game, but everyone seemed to hyped up to even begin to lay down. Even after almost half an hour no one seemed to be able to settle down enough. Fred and George were practically bouncing off the walls. Corinne had to hit the back of the latter’s knees to make him stop jumping on the bed. He landed beside her with a grunt, making the others laugh.
“You know, I’m kind of hungry,” Fred spoke after the laughter died down. His brother pursed his lips in thought.
“Yeah, come to think of it, I am too,” he added. A murmur of agreement sounded throughout the room.
“The patrolling professors should be in their quarters by now,” Jessica mentioned. “If we’re quiet enough, I bet we could sneak into the kitchen and get some leftovers from dinner.” Everyone seemed to perk up at the idea.
“Yeah, let’s do it,” Oliver spoke, already beginning to stand.
“We have to be quiet guys,” Mallorie reminded everyone, but her eyes stayed on the twins. They grinned cheekily before the group walked out, Oliver and Jessica following them. For once Fred and George actually managed to stay quiet enough for the group to make it to the kitchen without making any noise. Once they were safely inside, Corinne revealed that she placed a silencing charm on the boys, much to their chagrin. Jessica couldn’t help but laugh at them before facing the house elves, who had stopped their work and were now staring at them.
“Jessica Stix!” A house elf named Tootsie exclaimed joyfully before running over to the girl. This hadn’t been Jessica’s first time in the kitchen. She often came down to help the elves cook or clean and let out some steam when she got angry. During her time down there she had become friendly with several house elves aside from Tootsie. Poppy, Imber and Manus were the closest to her aside from the one previously mentioned. The rest of the group with Jessica watched as she crouched down in time for Tootsie to reach her and hug her. Once she stood, a few other elves said hello to her.
“Good evening, we’re terribly sorry to bother you all. But we’re a bit hungry after the game, and we were hoping to grab some leftovers from dinner,” she spoke hopefully.
“Of course!” Manus responded immediately. “A friend of Miss Jessica is a friend of the house elves. Help yourselves.” He gestured to the food still sitting on the counters and stoves. No one complained as they walked around the kitchen, conversing with the elves as they grabbed food for themselves. Jessica talked with the four elves as she grabbed some turkey and mashed potatoes, but gasped when someone’s arms wrapped around her from behind.
“What are we talking about?” Oliver asked, resting his chin on her shoulder. Jessica giggled when he kissed her temple then conversation continued.
No one left the kitchen, instead continuing to talk amongst everyone as they ate their late night meals. Once everyone had finished eating, Jessica insisted that they help the elves clean up since they’d caused the mess in the first place. Though originally hesitant, no one had the heart to disobey her, so they got to work. By the end of it, the group was exhausted and ready for bed. They walked back to their dorms silently. Oliver walked Jessica up to her dorm then the two stopped outside her door.
“See you tomorrow?” He asked, though he already knew the answer.
“Of course,” she responded with a small smile. Wordlessly, they leaned in and shared a kiss that left them both breathless (though that wasn’t uncommon in the first place). When they pulled away, they couldn’t help but laugh as they heard Alicia’s snoring from outside.
“Goodnight, my love,” Oliver muttered, offering her one last kiss before beginning to head back to his own dorm. Jessica went to bed that night with a full stomach and a bright smile on her face.

Chapter 1 of Playing for Keeps
Christina resembles Tamsin Egerton
Trigger warning! Miscarriage
Chapter 1 - What's Your Name?
What's your name
What's your name
Oh I really wanna know
You got me going crazy
What's Your Name - Jesse McCartney
Christina Finch-Fletchley woke up in an empty bed. She had gotten used to waking up in an empty bed since she was a year divorced at the young age of 26.
She had met Scott Fields at a school dance in her Year 9, at 13. She was immediately smitten with the dark haired boy and he with her. They started dating in year 13, at seventeen.
They lived separately while they went to university for three years. They moved in together immediately after they finished university.
The couple was engaged within a year. She discovered she was pregnant on Valentine's Day 1998 and they eloped immediately with a few witnesses such as her younger brother Aaron and Scott's cousin.
She gave birth to their daughter Bethany almost a month after she turned 22 on September 9th, 1998.
Bethany was perfect. She looked mostly like Christina's family with her curly blonde hair and brown eyes, especially the fact that had inherited her Uncle Justin's magic.
Justin had helped hide his niece's magic from his brother-in-law for two years but Scott eventually found out about his daughter's magic.
Christina was proud of her daughter for being magical, Scott didn't feel the same so he abandoned them a few days after Bethany turned 2.
Just a month later, she had discovered she was pregnant again but she miscarried due to the stress.
"Mummy!"
She looked up to see her now four year old daughter. She was a near carbon copy of her mother when she was younger.
"Uncle Justin and Auntie Eliza are taking us to a Quidditch game today!" she said excitedly.
Christina smiled. Eliza was Justin's best friend and girlfriend of four years. She was part of a famous family of Quidditch players but couldn't play anymore since she was injured in their third year.
Bethany was obsessed with the wizarding sport Quidditch and had just started collecting Chocolate Frog cards.
"I hope I see the best player there is Ginny Weasley."
For some reason, Justin found it hilarious that Bethany was such a big fan of Ginny.
"What time is the match?" she asked her daughter.
The little blonde girl shrugged. "When the big hand and the little hand are on the 2 and the 12."
"So, 2'oclock."
Bethany nodded. Christina got out of bed and scooped up her daughter.
Her parents were initially empty nesters but once she moved back home her younger brothers Aaron and Justin followed suit.
Aaron was two years younger than her and starting his first year as a teacher. Justin was the baby and the only magical one of the siblings. Christina and Aaron were incredibly proud of their baby brother.
"Morning, honey," Francis Finch-Fletchly greeted his oldest and only daughter.
"Morning daddy."
Despite being almost 30, she was still a daddy's girl. It helps that she gave birth to the only grandchild so far.
"Did you hear grandpa? Uncle Justin is taking me and mummy to a Quidditch game today."
Francis nodded. He was a big sports fan, especially rugby. It surprised people since rugby was such a rough sport and Francis was rather soft spoken.
The father and daughter worked well together so she had joined him in their family business of speciality pet stores .
Later that day, Justin, Bethany and Christina made their way to the Quidditch stadium. She was fascinated with her youngest brother's world.
They reached the stadium and walked in.
"Justin!"
He turned to see his girlfriend Eliza running towards them. Justin greeted her with a hug and a deep kiss.
"Eww," Bethany said, wrinkling her nose.
Justin pulled away from his girlfriend and wrapped his arm around her waist.
They began walking towards the seats but Benthany told her mum "Mummy, I need to go to the restroom."
"Okay."
"You should be back just in time for the match to start."
Christina led her daughter to the loo.
After that they were in such a rush that Christina crashed into someone.
"Oh, I'm so sorry," she apologized, her accent becoming more pronounced in her embarrassment.
"I'm in one piece, lass," a Scottish accent laughed.
She looked up at the man she had crashed into. He had big brown eyes and handsome, chiseled features.
"Sorry again."
"No problem, lass."
They went their separate ways and reached their box.
"Look mummy, there's Ginny!" Bethany squealed, pointing to a ginger woman.
Justin began chuckling as Eliza swatted his arm.
The Harpies won. Bethany was so excited that her team won and wanted to get Ginny's autograph.
As they were walking out of the stadium, Bethany spotted Ginny who was talking to a lanky redhead who must be her brother, he had his arm around a bushy haired woman and a dark haired man had his arm around Ginny.
Without warning, Bethany let go of her mum's hand and sprinted towards Ginny. Christina chased after her daughter.
"Ginny! Can you sign my chocolate frog card!" Bethany asked, peering up at the redhead hopefully.
"Effie, sweetie. What have I told you about running away?" Christina scolded her daughter.
The four-year-old looked up at her mum apologetically.
"I'll gladly sign the autograph," Ginny smiled down at the little girl.
"Will you?"
Ginny nodded. "So, what's your name?"
"Bethany."
"How old are you?"
"I'm four. I want to play Quidditch like you do when I'm older," Bethany said confidently.
"She's been obsessed with Quidditch since she was a toddler. I don't understand how since I'm not very athletic and neither was her dad," Christina laughed, fondly ruffling her daughter's hair.
"Auntie Eliza told me about it," Bethany tattled.
"There goes my secret," Eliza laughed walking over with Justin.
"Oh, Parkin," the bushy haired brunette glared at her.
"Now Hermione," the lanky ginger coaxed.
"Nice to see you, Justin," the dark haired man greeted.
"You too, Harry. I see you met my niece and that's my older sister, Christina."
Ginny finished the autograph.
"Thank you," Bethany said, hugging Ginny.
"Not everyone likes hugs," Christina told her daughter.
Ginny laughed. "You obviously haven't met our mum, she gives the best hugs."
"Thanks for your time, Ginny," Christina told the red head.
"You're welcome."
Christina walked away with Bethany.
"I'm sorry about running away from you mummy," Bethany apologized looking up at her mum.
"It's alright, sweetie."
They went back home.
