hi, hello, long time no see. i’m (almost) done with my first week as an uni student and recycling pictures because it’s been hectic and i haven’t even thought of taking some.

so! first week! it’s been,.....,,,........ an experience. i’m all moved in in my new aparment, i suffered through the first few days without AC (and believe you do NOT want to be in this hellish city with its unbelievable temperatures and humidity levels in the middle of february) AND without a proper kitchen 🥵 but that’s all sorted out now. classes are nice! chemestry and my professor are both awesome, and i made a new friend in my university problematics course that i think will keep around for a long time. living on my own is N I C E even though is pretty boring sometimes, but my kitten made everything so much better (u guys she’s definitely a demon but she behaved SO well while traveling and transitioning 🥺). i love her SO MUCH you have no idea, it actually brings me to tears. uhhhhh what else. i think that’s pretty much it? my faculty is GORGEOUS and the coolest in the whole university tbh. it’s old af (it turns 101 years this year!!) but i already love her.

23rd April 2020

today was amazing! had a good night sleep, no lectures and i went through quantum chemistry materials from previous two weeks and actually understood it!

but the best part was a little walk, first in 42 days!! i can't believe the strict quarantine took so long 😦 in two weeks we can go anywhere if wearing a mask and practicing social distancing 😁

stationery shops are still closed and i needed new pens that won't bleed through my notebook. these were the only colorful option but i couldn't wish for better 😊

Hello! It's been a while since I posted on here, but I finally made up my mind to get back to studyblr in order to keep myself motivated this year. What have you all been doing this summer? I haven't been doing much - I went on a trip for a few days, but other than that I've just been trying to get back into shape and catch up on my TV shows! Recently, I've been setting up my room at home to get ready for the coming school year.

hi studyblr!

i’m ang & i’ve been lurking on this blog for quite some time so i thought i should probably introduce myself. i’m a fifteen-year-old rising high school junior currently drowning in summer assignments. this blog is something that i hope to use as a way to hold myself accountable & keep up with everything

i do have an about page but i’ll paraphrase a bit of it here anyways:

i’ll be taking three ap classes, advanced math, & honors french next year in addition to my other electives

i spend a crazy amount of time hanging out & volunteering at my local library because its the only place i ever seem to get anything done

some of my big interests are psychology, criminology, language, writing, & history

my favorite books are to kill a mockingbird & thirteen days, my favorite movie is logan lucky, & my favorite music is anything rob thomas has ever done

i don’t really have a “dream school” because i’m not quite sure what i want to do with my life. i just know i want to leave this state for the big city some day. if i had to pick, upenn or stanford would probably be my big dream

i hope i’ll make a few friends & become a better person in this community! if any of y’all have any other questions feel free to ask!

a quick little something for everyone struggling with mental health issues and having supportive parents/relatives

your mum/dad/relative getting frustrated at you sometimes for the constant state you’re in, maybe snapping at you, looking tired of everything you’ve got going on etc does not mean they don’t understand/love you anymore/don’t want you to be their child because you’re so difficult, etc.

living with a mentally ill person is not easy: it’s rather exhausting and a real struggle at times, and you know that, right? so please be understanding. they try their best to show you support but have their boundaries just like you and can only take so much. and they do everything they can to understand what’s going on in your head, but will never fully manage to because they have never experienced it themselves. so appreciate that they’re here for you and don’t expect them to be like superheroes all the time. just the fact that you have them aka they support you through it all should be treasured.

life update: online uni sucks

it doesn't feel like the semester is still going on, everything that motivated me (being on campus, seeing my friends and other students) is gone, everyone is falling behind and zoom lessons are so uncredibly awkward to sit through

i'm obviously priviledged to still have an education and i appreciate how much effort everyone is putting in to provide resources etc. but this just isn't the best time for me rn

slowly but surely working my way through macromolecules. today i ran a 5k and finished 5th on our cross country team with a time of 24:38 !! on saturday, i will be competing in my first ever varsity race (i will be like the last to finish, but i am super excited and looking forward to the experience) !!

I made a notebook as a gift for my mom in which she can track her dog's life and progress 🐶❤

It contains list of his favourites (treats, walks, toys), activities they can do together, realized trip and other experiences and of course his "medical records". I added some themed stickers and washi tapes and I can't wait to see if she likes it and how she fills it in 😊
