Sanders Sides Preferences
Summary:
Short stories with each side (minus Remus) in a given scenario with (y/n)
(Ex: first meet, first kiss, confessions)
This is only going to be "First Meet" so I can see how well this does.
First Meet
Thomas Sanders - Old Vine Friends
“Storytime! They didn’t know that, after this moment, their lives would change-” Thomas begins, but is quickly interrupted by a loud squeal of excitement.
“Thomas!”
Thomas furrows his eyebrows but continues to smile, “Thomas? Never heard of him,” he jokes.
You tilt your head, your excitement fading as your smile turns into a frown.
“You don’t remember me, do you?”
Thomas pauses. He’s not very good with names, he can admit that, but he never forgets a face. He raises a hand to block the sun as he squints at you, and then his eyes widen with realization.
“(Y/N)!”
Your frown turns back into a grin. “The one and only”
“Oh my god, I missed you!” Thomas laughs as he pulls you into a hug
“Me too. It's been years!”
Thomas releases you from his death grip of a hug, fixing his hair.
“Yeah, sorry about that”
“It’s fine. It gave me time to start my own YouTube channel!”
“Really?” Thomas asks, his excitement renewed before quickly being crushed.
“Nah. Well, I tried, but it didn’t work out so well”
Virgil Sanders - At an MCR concert
You loved MCR; their music was great and yet…
This concert wasn’t as fun as you thought it would be.
Your friends were supposed to be hanging out with you, laughing, singing, dancing… Drinking. But they ended up drinking too much and went off to flirt with guys, leaving you alone with your anxious fidgeting in the back.
In a last desperate attempt to find your friends, you look around, but instead, you see a man staring at you.
“Staring is rude you know,” you grumble in defeat.
The man, seemingly realizing his mistake when you point it out, shakes his head frantically.
“Sorry, I just... You’ve been sitting here by yourself for 46 minutes and I was wondering if you wanted… company” He sputters.
You glance in the direction your friends were, accepting the fact that they won’t be returning anytime soon. You offer the stranger their now empty seats and he accepts, sitting beside you.
“I’m (y/n),” you murmur.
“Virgil,” he responds.
Patton Sanders - At a volunteer park clean-up
“Come on, everyone! Where’s the pep in your step? The beautiful smiles?” the community service conductor yells.
Everyone cheers. Even you manage to give a tired yell before returning to your task at hand. Every Sunday, you come out and pick up as much trash as you can before 6 o’clock. You’ve been doing it since you were little because when you got to look at the beautiful, clean field, it made you so happy. As you walk along the sidewalk, looking down at the floor for more trash, you run headfirst into someone.
“Sorry!” You blurt out before you even hit the ground.
“Oh no! No, I’m sorry! Don’t apologize!”
You look up to see a man with a blue polo shirt, and a cardigan wrapped around his shoulders, extending his hand. You take it hesitantly, and he lifts you to your feet with ease.
“I should’ve been watching where I was going… Honestly, it's my fault. I’m sorry,” you repeat, brushing the dirt off your shirt.
The guy purses his lips when you apologize again before a smile creeps onto his face.
“What’s brown and sticky?” he asks.
Caught off guard by this question, you look up and tilt your head, taking a moment to realize it’s the beginning of a joke.
“What?” you ask.
The man reaches out and picks a stick out of your hair, showing it to you. “A stick!”
Your eyes widen before you stifle your laughter with your hand.
“I’m (y/n),” you giggle.
The man raises his eyebrows and grins.
“Patton”
Logan Sanders - In a bookstore, munching on a Crofter-covered slice of toast
You slide your fingers along the spines of the science fiction books, most of them either too expensive or you’ve already read them. You take another bite of your toast despite just wanting to lick the jelly off the top, but then you would just be left with a piece of bread… Soggy bread at that. No one likes soggy bread.
Being in a bookstore heightens your senses. You have to be vigilant to make sure you don’t run over kids, or walk into people reading, so that’s how you were able to tell someone was looking over your shoulder.
“May I help you?” you ask, not looking up from the books.
“I was just wondering if that is… Um… Crofters Organic Concord Grape you are consuming alongside your piece of bread?” the person behind you says.
You finally look at the person, and nearly drop your toast that started this conversation. The stranger gazes intensely at you through the frames of his glasses.
It was honestly kind of hot if you ignore the fact he just asked what kind of jam you were eating.
“I- uh-... um… Yes,” you sputter out.
The man’s eyes widened for a split second, “Interesting. Do you come here often?” he asks.
“Every Sunday. Why?”
“Curiosity”
“Huh…” You take another bite of your toast. “...How did you know it was Crofters?”
“The smell”
“You do know that’s a little weird, right?”
The man looks genuinely sad, but surprisingly, not because you just called him weird. “My… brothers. They hid my Crofters for a month now…”
You look at your extra piece of toast and back at the man, then back at the toast.
“Do you want it?” you ask.
The man narrows his eyes, his nose scrunching in displeasure.
“Are you aware of how many germs could spread that way?”
“Less than if we shook hands,” you shoot back.
“That’s…” He seems to have to think about that for a second “Correct”
You hold out the bread, and the man snatches it away from you, smiling for the first time since starting this conversation. He licks the Crofters off the top as you had debated doing earlier. Then he eats the bread, closing his eyes and humming softly in satisfaction.
“Wow uh…” You aren’t sure how to respond.
“Thank you,” the man opens his eyes, the smile remaining on his lips even after the jam is gone “My name is Logan. It is a pleasure to meet you”
He offers you a handshake, but then remembers what you had said about the germs and changes his mind.
“I uh… I’m (y/n).”
“I would like to spend more time in your presence if that’s alright”
“O-okay?”
Roman Sanders - On the sidewalk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrZsP1oSSvs
Roman is Thomas(Duh) but depending on your gender, or which one you want to be, you’d sing either Dodie or Ben J. Pierce. When you sing solo, you can be whoever is singing the melody. This is just for when Roman joins.
Singing by the side of the road for money was not how you had expected to spend your Friday. However, getting fired from your job was not how you wanted to spend your Thursday, and you had bills to pay. As you looked at your hat, you could see at least 100 bucks, but that wasn’t nearly enough, at least not in this day and age.
Entranced by a beautiful voice, a man turned the corner, walked in your direction, and suddenly joined in on your song. His voice blended with the harmonies flawlessly.
All you could do was watch in awe as you continued singing, despite wanting to be furious. People started to gather around, throwing more and more money into your hat.
“Is anybody waving back at me?” you both sang.
“Waving,” you sang.
“Waving,” the man echoed back.
“Waving! Woah,” you both sang once more.
“Ohh,” the man finished.
With the adrenaline from the roaring applause, you threw your arms around the strange man.
“Oh my gosh! That was amazing! Thank you!”
“Oh uh- You're welcome,” he stutters.
Realizing that you were hugging a complete stranger, you quickly let go.
You cleared your throat, now looking at the ground in embarrassment. “You sounded really good,” you finally say.
“You too”
There was a pause.
“I’m (y/n) but everyone just calls me (n/n),” you extended your hand.
“Roman Sanders, but everyone just calls me Mister Sing-a-lot, Princey, or handsome,” he winked at you, grabbing your hand to kiss your knuckles.
A bright red blush crept its way to your ears, causing Roman to hum in amusement. Then, you and Roman knelt to collect the money from the overflowing hat.
“What’s this money for anyway?” Roman asked.
“Oh, nothing,” you lied.
“I don’t like liars,” Roman grumbled.
“It’s just a sob story. I don’t want you to pity me”
Roman stood up with you, handing you the money he had picked up as he tilted his head in curiosity.
You sighed. “I got fired a week ago and I need money to pay my rent or else I’ll get evicted”
Roman’s eyes widened, and you knew that look from the other people you had told that to.
“Don’t!” you snapped.
“Fine! But in return for not feeling bad for you, you have to go out to dinner with me”
“Nice try. How ‘bout we go get some coffee as friends”
Roman grumbled something but nodded in agreement.
“Cool”
Janus Sanders - In a cafe
“Hello. Welcome to Café aléatoire. What can I get you?” you ask the man in front of you, still writing down the previous order.
“This is my first time here. What tea would you suggest?” the man responds.
“Would you like me to surprise you?” you smile to yourself, finishing the order and finally looking up.
As you make eye contact with this customer, he returns a smile.
“Okay then. Surprise me”
You rack your brain, thinking of all 120 flavors of tea from memory. While doing this, you were staring at the man, maybe a little too intensely. He narrows his eyes and cocks his head in confusion at why you were staring at him.
Still racking your brain, you purse your lips before mumbling, “Chenin Blanc…” and rushing to the back kitchen. You grab the ingredients you need and make the tea in a matter of seconds. When you walk into the dining area, you see the customer has found a table beside the window.
“Here you go,” you set the tea kettle and cups down.
“May I ask what you decided on?” the man asks.
“No, you may not. Not until you try it at least”
The man pours the tea with his gloved hands and sips it.
“Is this… hot wine?” he asks, confused.
“No. Chenin Blanc. It’s supposed to taste like wine, and you look like a wine guy”
“Hm,” he takes another sip.
“Do you… like it?”
The man looks up, his eyes showing his content.
“Yess”
Proud of yourself, you smile.
For the next month, every Saturday, the man would come back, asking you to surprise him, and you never failed to satisfy him with the best tea you could think of. You felt honored that he trusted you to choose what he was drinking without question.
Today it took you longer to prepare the tea, but the man was still waiting at his window seat like every other Saturday.
“Finally, I was getting impatient,” the man joked.
“Well, this one was a little harder to make,” you retort.
The man watches you set it down and looks at it in confusion.
“It smells like regular tea,” he says.
“When have I ever given you regular tea?”
“Never”
He takes a sip and licks his lips thoughtfully.
“Strawberry? A little bit of citrus? And cinnamon”
“Yup! Do you like it?”
“Of course I like it”
“Good. That one isn’t very popular… I’ve never tried it before,” you say.
“Would you like to?”
“Try it?”
“Yess”
You look around at the empty cafe before grabbing a chair from another table and sitting down.
“Sure”
He pours you a cup.
“You know, I’ve been making you tea for the last month, and yet I still don’t know your name… Is it weird to ask for your name now?” you ask.
“Janus”
“Janus?”
“Please don’t laugh”
“Why would I laugh? That’s a super cool name. Like the god?”
Janus smiles, nodding as he takes another sip of his tea.
“Thank you (y/n)”
Remy Sanders - In the middle of nowhere(This one was for funsies)
“I have, like, no idea,” the man says, looking around in confusion.
He takes another sip of his coffee before abruptly hanging up on whoever was talking on the other end. Just as you are about to walk past him, he taps you on the shoulder.
“Excuse me,” he says.
You stop, taking your earbuds out in confusion.
“Hm?”
“Do you know where we are right now?”
“Uh… Near Starbucks?” you respond.
“In another case, that would be, like, super helpful, but I need to get home ASAP”
You nod and look around.
“Honestly, I don’t really know… The only reason I'm even here is to get the new drink,” you nod towards Starbucks.
“Wait, they have a new one! I asked and they said no!” the man cried.
“When has Starbucks ever not had a new drink?” you retort, narrowing your eyes.
The man pauses. “True true”
“Do you wanna go with me to get it?”
“OMG! Yes”
You smile and start walking with him.
“What's your name girl-pop?” the man asks.
“(y/n)”
“I’m Remy but my bitches just call me Rem,” Remy says.
“Do you actually have any bitches?”
“No, but if I did, that's what they would call me”
“Ah…”
Both of you reach Starbucks and order the drink. When he is finished, you order him an Uber so he can get home, but before he leaves, he snatches your phone out of your hand and gives you his number.

thanks to @rambling-prince-thoughts i'm now willing to share a full analysis on remus (the whole gang is here!). i wish my own personal headcanons and things i've found in canon can help people understand how complex remus actually is.
cw for religious commentary, bible quotes and remus being remus.
disclaimer: i'm catholic. this is not, in any way, meant to impose my religion. remus holds way too many references to the bible for me to not mention it. if this isn't for you, it's 100% okay to turn away from this post. don't leave hate when you can just ignore it. the reason behind saying i'm catholic is to show famders they can have faith and still kin remus the way i do! there's nothing to feel guilty about, intrusive thoughts just make you human 💚
so to quote our favorite trash rat: "let's start from the beginning!"
this will follow the story of cain and abel from genesis 4, which remus mentions in dwit. i'll color code who represents who according to both canon (the twins) and personal headcanon (c! thomas):
cain - remus / abel - roman / god - c! thomas
in 4 genesis 4:4-5 we see that one day, after working hard on their respective jobs, cain and abel present their creations to god. he looks proud at abel's work, but he doesn't with cain's. this makes cain angry. let me remind you green is the color of envy. we know thomas favored roman over remus' creativity during dwit, we see remus get upset over everyone constantly thinking of his work as useless or unwanted.
later, in 4 genesis 4:6-7, god questions cain's anger and tells him that only if he does the right thing, he will be accepted. if he doesn't, sin will try to consume him and cain needs to rule over it. i love the choice of words here: right thing, accepted and rule. everyone was shutting remus up, telling him how awful he was and how bad the things he said were. if only remus could be more like his brother, then maybe he could be accepted.
i have a whole headcanon on the "rule over it" part. i think remus just went insane. you see, during the split, remus got all the "bad" parts of creativity. not only that, but just like roman got thomas' ego, remus got the intrusive thoughts. the way virgil has his own anxiety. i'm convinced remus has his own intrusive thoughts.
at one point, the intrusive thoughts became so loud, he had no other option but to embrace them. in the genesis, god wants cain to resist against sin. remus in this case didn't resist, he took control over his thoughts instead of letting them consume him. he clearly knows what having intrusive thoughts feels like and that hurt him and scarred him real bad. he is okay now with being called demented, he ruled over the intrusive thoughts.
you can see there are moments where remus seems uncomfortable when they talk about intrusive thoughts. his role is creativity, but he is cursed with intrusive thoughts. talking from personal experience, i can see his distress. the screams, loud laughs and stimming. all in an attempt to shut up those thoughts, but sometimes they become too much and they have to get out. the worst part is that you blurt out horrible things like cannibalism and murder. people around you don't understand and they think you mean it. virgil was very right and very wrong when he asked: "but are they opinions that matter?"
yes, the intrusive thought itself doesn't matter. but it's not okay to imply remus' words and opinions don't matter just because he blurts out these things. he matters as much as roman, his brother deals with being the ego and pride. remus has his own issues too that should not be ignored or ruled out as "not important".
immediately after that, in 4 genesis 4:8-12, cain kills abel. god condemns cain to a life where his work will never bear fruit and he will be a restless wanderer. in the "5 years later" video, remus says: "did you know how bored i was before you decided to confront me? all i did was walk around and look for stuff in your head to fuck with!". which implies remus was free to wander around the mindscape, but couldn't be listened to by thomas until he wanted to. which happens in dwit since the thoughts became too much to ignore.
here's something really cool. in 4 genesis 4:14-15. cain says to god: "from your face i shall be hidden. i shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me." god replies: “not so! if anyone kills cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” which in the context of what we saw in dwit, means that remus was okay to stay in the dark, but anyone who dares to go against the duke's work will suffer the consequences. we know this because the more the others tried to force him out, the more powerful he became.
(there seems to be an islamic interpretation which says that the devil whispered to cain: "hit abel's head with a stone and kill him", which i found very interesting considering roman took a morning star to the head and the whisper in thomas' head. but i know nothing about it, so i can't confirm it's true.)
i don't believe in patton or janus keeping him locked away, because c! thomas has more power than people give him credit for. remus explicitly says thomas made him the way he is, logan points out it was him who decided to split creativity: "at a young age, you filed away products of your imagination as either welcome or forbidden." it is during clbg that roman says to thomas: "you have to give us permission first..." and virgil says "you are the boss, thomas. any information you want to know, you can know. you just have to be open to hearing it."
imo, thomas doesn't know anything about himself and the things he can do. the sides are there to guide him, but i don't think any side has the power to keep something hidden from thomas if thomas himself wants to learn. the reason the sides were able to out janus was because thomas gave his permission, but in dwit the sides didn't want remus to show himself. it was thomas who allowed him in.
let's go re-watch dwit for the fifth time this week:
when he sings: “and since you haven’t puked yet, we'll know they're wrong when they call you sick.” i think it's a nice metaphor to say from the very start that “since you haven’t acted on these thoughts, they'll see there's nothing wrong with you”. he also sings about people not liking him, which makes me wonder about past experiences he had with the sides. he can also be talking about how a lot of people dislike intrusive thoughts and dark creativity.
“good and bad is all made-up nonsense!” makes sense even for me! i don't believe in heaven or hell as physical places, but rather states of self when we are alive. when you're a good person to yourself and others, you can be at peace, but you'll have a harder time if you're bad. good and bad are not extremes, they are a gray mix. just because something is seen as good or bad doesn't mean it is in some cases. intrusive thoughts are seen as bad, but they can be fun! maybe you got a meme pop into your head and started laughing? or how about being in a conversation and an intrusive thought finishes the other person's sentence and you can't keep a straight face because of how stupid it sounds?
the tree of good and evil from the genesis (also known as the tree of knowledge/tree of life) is known for the belief that indulging in pleasure is immoral, but that belief often comes from people who are not religious. good and evil actually represent “the everything”, adam and eve gained knowledge instead of just pleasure. the knowledge to see what's right and wrong, a moral compass and tons of wisdom. for example, without the fruit they would never be able to punish criminals. this tree also represents the mixture of good and evil that creates mortality. janus offering a morsel (fruit) from the tree to thomas or any side means: do not put good and evil into separate boxes, embrace your humanity, what makes you human and your life will be easier.
janus representing the snake is actually genius because he is deceit and no one will trust deceit, but janus represents someone who wants to show the truth. so to make him the lord of the lies is truly evil, mr. sanders. remus represents the truth, but he is also given an evil role. they both are there to give thomas the fruit that will allow him to be more honest and direct dealing with his issues, so that he no longer deceives himself about the ugliness within him. in that scene, while janus seems to be talking to remus, remus sings janus' part. to me that can be interpreted as: janus and i had a talk and here's how we help thomas.
remus talks about how every mortal sins and dies at some point, but they try to deny it and ignore it. remus saying he will still be there even if thomas is alone can represent how no matter how much we isolate ourselves from sin, it will always be there as part of the human psyche. might as well accept that fact now.
remus asks him: "why do you want to stifle your own creativity?" which can perfectly mean: "why are you denying and ignoring a part of yourself that can be good?" dark creativity can be amazing! take a look at your favorite horror films and games, tragic novels and dramas. they all use a perfect combination of remus and roman's creativity. without one of them, we would never have these things.
laughing at your own intrusive thoughts can be a sign of you hating those thoughts, but being so used to them you don't care anymore. remus obviously knows what it's like to hate them and try and force them out, lot of good that did him! he realized repression is horrible. you don't need to act on these thoughts, you can get them out by writing them down in a journal or saying them out loud in private. trust me, it feels way better than keeping them inside.
i really like remus recognizing he is not scary, but instead, people are scared of him. if anyone needs to hear this: you're not a freak or a monster for having intrusive thoughts or any dark interest, or both! remus is just trying to be himself and deal with a very human thing a lot of us can relate to. thats why he makes me feel like i'm not alone in this <3
i think remus threatening logan to shut up is because he thought logan would attempt to convince thomas to repress his thoughts the same way patton did. i really like that logan continues to teach amazing lessons on intrusive thoughts, why the duke is important and we can see remus listening to him without interrupting. until the last part where he is just a brat.
just remus saying there is no rhyme or reason to what he does is enough for people to remember intrusive thoughts are mostly meaningless, like virgil said. they just happen. don't take them too seriously or think too deeply about them.
i want to point out that remus becomes distressed when logan says his contributions are intrusive thoughts instead of a different creativity. like… remus just couldn’t convince anyone, not even logan, of his job. no wonder he acts like a brat in wtit. the one side who was closest to understanding him, ended up being just like the rest of them. stubborn and repressing his own feelings, that seems to be a recurring theme with our boys.
remus is able to be gentle, we can see that when he listens to virgil at the end of dwit. that genuine smile and eye contact (which he avoids for most of the episode), the calm chuckles compared to the loud laughter from before and sweet tone of his voice… it's clear that whatever happened between virgil and the dark sides, remus doesn't think ill of him. i could almost believe he misses him. i think that whatever happened, it was between virgil and janus. remus had nothing to do with it and virgil knows that. in the "happy fifth anniversary" celebration, virgil looks amused at remus. i think he misses him too.
in wtit, i absolutely adore how remus uses real traps for thomas to represent how intrusive thoughts can trap you in an endless loop of hurting. i love that he can just give thomas the thoughts without any effort, but he uses his creativity to have fun with his other job and be extra dramatic. the fact he can attack other sides, summon beings like real people or monsters AND control them, that makes me wonder how powerful he truly is. it can be a unique aspect of the twins and i would love to see more of that in future videos.
remus is not scary. i've seen scary people and remus is not it (it's what he represents that scares others). he is silly and playful, extra and dare i say, more dramatic than roman. there's a lot of curiosity from him that i believe comes from his constant intrusive thoughts, he also seems to be knowledgeable in specific topics. he is very genuine in the way he expresses himself, not really hiding anything. he is so unique and eager to spend time with the sides.
he also acts in a way that reminds me of how loneliness can affect someone when they finally interact with others. his poor ability to read the room and how others feel, the little control he has over how loud his voice can get, the constant need for attention. all signs of being neurodivergent spending a long time by himself.
remus tries to teach a lesson to logan about how he can't do everything by himself. sadly, remus is the only side around for some reason (i guess the others had a ddr tournament) and logan refuses to acknowledge remus as a potential helper. instead, he keeps seeing him as an antagonist in thomas’ day, which he is. i think remus could potentially be against thomas after being denied acceptance by the others. that's why i would love to see remus become orange’s ally in his way to create chaos. in dwit he does say he wants to wreak havoc. the dance scene can be seen as another battle between sides, logan winning because logic can be a powerful tool against the irrationality of intrusive thoughts. but since it's logan who is being affected by orange’s influence, i wonder what that will do to logan’s power over remus.
remus tried to be accepted before and he was refused the opportunity, he tried a last time in dwit and failed once again. i think he is fed up at this point, that's why he feels like such a threat in wtit. he doesn't seem to care that he is creativity anymore, instead leaning more into his role as intrusive thoughts and using his creative power to make those stronger. he looks PISSED when logan tries to talk to him at the end of wtit. he clearly doesn't trust him nor believes logan is being honest.
remus says “you're going to pretend that i don't exist, so i'll pretend you don't exist.” and logan goes about how everyone has their own role, but still cannot see remus as creativity and remus is just so mad at him and the others for that. the sides think they're acknowledging remus by accepting him as intrusive thoughts, when in reality, they're denying his main role. it's the same thing that happened with virgil, in denying virgil as helpful and thinking he was only anxiety (which is perceived as a bad thing), they saw the effects of no anxiety at all and how much virgil protected thomas.
i really like remus getting interested in logan when orange shows himself. i see it as remus finally seeing a flawed logan, which can allow sympathy since remus is extremely flawed. logan showed him he is repressing something and who is remus but an advocate against repression?
roman and remus’ relationship is extremely interesting, putting all the cain and abel parallels aside, i think they love each other the way siblings do. they banter and annoy each other to no end. roman says he doesn't like him at the end of dwit, but it's so obvious he is in denial. he doesn't want to admit someone like remus is his twin and that he is fond of him despite his weirdness. i want remus to close roman’s arc, i want remus to help roman understand that it's okay to not be perfect and still be a good creativity. if anyone can help roman feel less insecure about himself, it's his twin.
roman says remus shows him everything he doesn't want to be. remus is flawed and happy to be seen as such. roman struggles so much to keep up the mask of perfection and when he sees how happy his brother is being flawed, he hates it. the little things that make roman insecure, remus embraces them and roman can learn so much from him. they likely share a room, they spend time together or at least, remus whispers into his ear waaay too much. if you go back to episodes before dwit, you'll see how defensive roman gets over things he said that others disapproved off, clearly being influenced by his twin. i think the realization roman talks about it's not only remus being the one to influence him, but also that remus represents more than he thought he did.
i think we can all agree with roman that sometimes we see ourselves in the mirror and we see the parts that makes us flawed, we hate them and want to turn away from them instead of accepting them. remus makes people uncomfortable because the truth is, most of us see something in him that we try to deny. be it the intrusive thoughts, the dark creativity… or something as simple as having an annoying laugh. we will always be able to love ourselves and quicky find something that we hate. not because it hurts us, but sometimes… because others have hurt us for being this way. i'm autistic and i know how harsh the world can be to people who are different, but remus made me feel seen. he made me feel valid for being me! he always makes me laugh and most importantly, he makes me feel safe <3
the most beautiful thing about remus is how freely he is himself. people will try to stop you from being who you are at heart, they will call you a freak and try to shut you down. if you take one thing from remus (even if you don't like him or sympathize with him) is that true happiness can be found in allowing yourself to be who you are. without a care in the world, because the only person who can judge you is yourself. no one else. you know yourself better than anyone else, so be happy and go feral if you want. as long as you're living true to yourself and staying safe 💛
go ahead and eat that second cookie, you earned it 🍪✨ if you don't like cookies, go grab something you enjoy. reward yourself for staying strong against this mess we call world. thank you for reading! i hope you have a wonderful day/night ⛅

ORANGE IS WRATH
Read on AO3
<this is the first chapter in this series, other chapters aren't released here yet>
CW: violence, angst, neglect (they neglect Logan), implied prinxiety. this isn't beta read either so keep in mind there will be mistakes, feel free to point them out so i could fix them.
"Roman, I just don't get why you're saying that" Patton said softly. "Ac-" Logan tried to speak, but was instantly cut off by Roman. "Because he's evil!" Roman called. "Evil people can change!" Patton explained, trying to keep calm. "Ev-" Logan tried to speak again, being cut of by Patton. "Roman, give him a shot" Patton cried out. "If-" Logan was cut off again, by Roman. "I'm not going to, he hasn't earned it!" Roman exclaimed. "Pl-" Logan failed to speak again, this time he was cut off by Thomas. "He deserves a second chance, Roman, you know he does!" Thomas begged for Roman to understand. Patton, Thomas and Roman began speaking over each other, Logan trying to speak but being unlistened to. Virgil was trying to calm everyone down, but then he noticed Logan.
Logan's head was turned the other way, his body language indicating he's mad, angry huffs can be heard from him. "Logan? Are you.. okay?" Virgil asked quietly, the others didn't even notice Logan's rage. Logan turns to Virgil, opening his eyes. Virgil just waits for a response. Logan's eyes become watery, which never happened before as far as Virgil knew. Virgil is taken aback before noticing Logan's eye color, it changed from their usual brown to... bright Orange with a tech-y pattern. Virgil is instantly concerned. Logan smirks and sinks down without a word.
"Logan?" Patton says as Logan sinks down, the over lapping chatter stopping in an instant. "This is... Bad" Virgil closed his eyes, as if trying to remember a painful memory, but the momory was buried so deep down it seems impossible to find. "W-whats bad?" Thomas asked, looking Logan's spot up and down, like Logan is gonna reappear at any second. "Lo-" Virgil stopped himself, stuttering over what the right phrasing might be, he eventually gives up, "I need to go check on Logan, you three continue doing whatever you were doing, I'll be back" Virgil sank down before anyone could respond. "Now I'm scared... What happened to Logan? Is it something I did?" Patton whispered to himself, thinking about his day and what could've hurt Logan, finding nothing. The three continued to chat, more respectfully this time, giving time for each person's answers and not cutting anyone off. If only they've done that when Logan was there... A scream from Logan's room, it's clearly Virgil's. "Virgil?" Patton puts his hand on his mouth, he couldn't bare the thought of his kiddo getting hurt. "H- L- P- M- E-" cut off screams, still Virgil's, the room is silent waiting for answers. "BR- TH- R-" one last scream, Virgil seems to have disappeared. Thomas and Patton were motionless in shock, but Roman restless and scared.
"Uhh... We should go help him" Roman said, pulling out his sword. Patton nods and turns to Thomas, "do you think you can get us there?" He asked softly, scared of what they might find. Thomas nodded quietly and closed his eyes as they all sank down slowly, the air was thick with tension and fear, they all felt heavy and were dreading the moment they rise up in Logan's room.
But they didn't, instead they rose up in Virgil's room, a purple themed dark room full of spider webs. "Thomas!" Patton called accusingly. "Sorry, I'm too scared to think about anything else but Virgil" Thomas answered as he looked down in shame. "Its alright. Patton, you come with me to Logan's room. Thomas, you stay here in Virgil's room" Roman ordered and went towards the door. "Wait but I thought you needed me to get you to other rooms" Thomas questioned. "Yes... But that's only if we're outside, once we're inside we don't need you for transport." Roman spoke fast, trying to get Thomas to shut up so he could go find Virgil. "Oh.. but-" Thomas was cut off by Patton. "Thomas, I don't know if we have time to sit around and chat, Virgil might be in big trouble!" Patton explained, trying to stay calm. Patton and Roman opened Virgil's front door, which lead to a hallway with other doors, each colored uniquely with a sign handwritten with each side's name. the charged towards Logan's door, which was the last one, standing across from Patton's room. They tried to open it but it seems to have been locked. "Logan?" Roman called, waiting for a response. "Virgil?" Patton called as well, hoping his kiddo is okay. "I'm going to kick down the door. stay back" Roman asked and took a step back, standing right in front of the door. With a loud thud, Roman kick down Logan's door, revealing an orange lit room with books scattered all around the floor, soaked in thick red blood. "Virgil?" Roman asked quietly, silently hoping he could save him from whatever nightmare he has to go through. In front of them appeared a glitching version of their beloved friend (or more), Virgil, glitching in and out of existence. "I- T- S- H- M-" Virgil kept appearing and disappearing, making his words cut out. "Him? Are you sure?" Roman asked the glitchy Virgil. "Y- E-" Virgil disappeared and didn't reappear, but Roman seems to have understood what was the problem at hand. Roman turned to Patton, but before he could speak, a cold, soft hand touched Roman's shoulder.

I just wrote an entire first draft of a oneshot fic in one sitting after a LOT of writer's block, and I'm like, super proud of myself :3
Still needs to be edited, and I might not even post it cause it was kind of a vent fic and I don't know exactly what trigger warnings to include, but I feel like there should be some. I just kinda wrote what I was feeling. But I am super proud of the writing that I did, so I'll prob talk to some friends about it and see what they think the trigger warnings should be :3

Analogy (Prinxiety)
I have been bullied /lh by my friend for two hours in discord to post this, and since I don't have an ao3 account for Sanders Sides, welp. Here it is.
Note: I don't write shipping often (I'm not an active shipper!!) and writing isn't my main thing, so don't expect this to be super great!

Analogy
To the eyes of the world, Roman and Virgil sat on opposite sides of a spectrum.
On one side you have a beautiful burning red. Bright, vivid, so much so that you can’t help the way your eyes draw attention to it. Like a fleeting firework launched into the sky, leaving a trail of sparks behind as it illuminates the dark sky with a warm light. Sparks fall to the ground, twinkling like stars as they fade into nothing. A gasp and a cheer, a show for all to see and all to be amazed by. It’s boisterous and loud, beautifully standing in a spotlight of its own making. It leaves people talking for minutes, hours, with thunderous applause filling the dull quiet.
It’s red roses in a well-kept garden, its vivid hue brighter against the green surrounding it. Swaying in a gentle breeze as if it were dancing. It makes those who pass stop and stare, stunned, smiling. Drawing closer to take in the raw beauty stood in front of them, like moths to a flame.
And then, there was the other side of the spectrum.
A deep darkness that lures people in, drawing attention through the curious minds of those who cannot seem to look away from temptations of mystery. A soft fog of purple as one feels themselves creeping deeper into the darkness. That purple grows more prominent, more vibrant with every step, slowly the darkness creeps away and you are left with the shade. Its glow is subtle, and soft. Nothing close to the shine of burning reds, but in the surrounding shade, still holds the same aura of awe.
It’s a hidden gem in a deep cave, subtle and hard to find. It’s not something that makes itself known, it’s something that is found with time, patience and effort. When it’s found, satisfaction sits heavy in one’s chest, as what was once a deep dark mystery, sparkles under the light as a beautiful purple.
Bright and spontaneous, subtle and mysterious. The opposite ends of a spectrum. Burning red and cold purple stood under the eyes of the w-
“Is that your analogy?”
A weight falls on his shoulders, and he leans forwards a little bit as he feels something press behind him. In front of him he sees another hand reach for the pen he was holding, twirling between fingers as he feels the other’s elbows press deeper into his shoulder. He groans a little in pain, but the other makes a sound that definitely sounds like a mocking whine.
“What’s wrong with it?” Roman says, pulling the forearms hanging over his shoulders forward and wrapping them around him, forcing himself in the other’s embrace. His lover, behind him, does not attempt to pull away despite the teasing protests. “I think it’s perfect for us!”
“You’re calling me a rock, Roman.”
“I’m calling you a gem. Get it right” He jerks his head upwards to get the other’s chin off him. “A gem. My gem.”
“Aww.” Virgil mutters as the embrace falls apart and the other’s arms disappear from his view. Roman pouts, a little disappointed. “Sappy, gross. Didn’t expect anything else from you though.”
“Oh shush, you love it.”
“I never said I didn’t, Princey.” Roman finally looks to his lover’s direction, and finds the red cased pen still being tossed and turned, fumbling in the other’s hands. He wonders if he’ll be getting that back anytime soon, as Virgil tucks the pen behind his ear. “You’ve been sitting here for over half an hour, doing what? Making an analogy for our relationship?”
“I was just warming up! I plan to write one of the best scripts any man will ever see, you see.” Virgil snorts and Roman rolls his eyes as he continues, “I just needed a bit of inspiration to get me started. And what better than you my dearest! The only stormcloud I’d let electrify me with your thunderous spark and soak me-”
“Please do not finish that sentence.”
“I was going to say with the raindrops of your love.” It’s Virgil’s turn to roll his eyes, looking him away, pretending that Roman couldn’t see the tiniest hint of a flush on the other’s face. His attention follows the other as he walks over to Roman’s bed, crawling onto the silk sheets and flopping on his back. The pen promptly flies off where it hung behind his ears after the impact, and neither of them bother to pick it up or even check where it had landed.
“Whatever you say, Roman.”
Foregoing what he had been working on just before, knowing he could easily work on it again. He gets off his seat, following the other onto the bed to sit next to him, never keeping his eyes off his lover.
He takes a minute to focus on Virgil’s appearance. Nothing really out of the ordinary, except instead of wearing the usual purple patched hoodie, he instead wore a black cotton sweater. The sight makes his lips curl into a wide smile, also wearing a sweater of his own in plain bright red.
“Comfy?”
Virgil’s eyes are lidded, breathing even and a tiny satisfied smile on his face.
“Mmm-hmm”
Roman knows that look
“Oh my- Are you seriously going to fall asleep here?”
“Why are you acting like I don’t do this every other night?” Virgil turns to his side, his cheek pressed into the bed. “I can feel the dent I’ve made in your mattress, Ro.”
Virgil’s fingers crawl towards his’, gentle taps against the bed, barely audible but even more so as they fall over Roman’s knuckles. The pale fingers stop their little dance, sitting comfortably atop the other’s. Roman’s focus falls onto the contact, chuckling to himself as he shifts their hands together, fingers intertwined.
Quietly, they stay that way, satisfied in each other’s touch. Eyes focused on each other as they take turns, gently tugging their hands in a sort of push-and-pull game. Ever so often, he’ll hear Virgil chuckle at the sight of their little game, making tiny, barely audible comments about how silly their interaction was.
“What are we doing?” Virgil mutters.
“Wish I knew” Roman replies, before finally flopping down onto the bed, turning to his side to stare straight into the other’s eyes. Their intertwined fingers laid between them on the bedsheets, a little bundle of warmth laid between warmer gazes, just for the other parallel to them. “I don’t mind it though.”
“Mmm.” The other rubs the side of his face into the sheets, like a cat or dog on a brand new bed, before hiding half his face in his bed. All that’s left is one bright, but tired, eye staring back at Roman. “I’m tired.”
“Oh are you now? My, I wouldn’t have guessed.”
“Shut up.”
And then it’s there again, that comfortable quiet. The tiny push-and-pull of fingers and palms, and the little mutters and comments that come with each tug. For a quick second, Roman’s eyes flicker to the writing left abandoned on his desk.
The analogy he had made.
Roman was very good at being loud and boisterous, he loved the attention of the crowd. It filled him with pride and lit the fire of his heart that burned with the desire for the spotlight. Roman was grand in every aspect he could think of; Every little thing was a bigger part of a whole, and that whole was for the world to see and admire.
He was the type to want the big things in life, and for those who are a part of his life. Virgil knew that being with him meant being ready to see a fireworks display of a person. Grand romantic gestures, over-the-top date ideas, running around seeing everything and anything. It was just so Roman, so him.
Yet, it was Virgil who reminded him of the subtle and beautiful things.
Virgil was never one for the grand gestures, never one for fireworks because they were too loud, never one for running around cause it was too much. Virgil leads at his own pace, not really chasing after the spotlight. It was admirable, in a way, how the other needed not to find the bright white center stage spotlight, yet, manages to have a gentle shine of light fall on him anyway.
Or perhaps, Roman was just a fool in love. Perhaps, Roman, who admires the grand and beautiful things could not turn away from the beauty of the subtleness. Virgil was subtle, it was one of the little things he loved about the whole. It was one of the little things he loved about Virgil.
Like a gem hidden in a cave; It’s something Roman missed at first, it’s something everyone misses at first, honestly. It doesn’t show itself to the world, it keeps its beauty hidden so when it’s found it shines brighter.
It’s the little chuckle that forms a boisterous laugh. The tiny shy smile, that leads to a wide toothy grin. The tiny nods and shy gazes that turn into slow nights together in each other’s arms; Bodies pressed together in a warm embrace, cradled under the comfort of the moon’s light. It was the little things, the subtle things, things you don’t see when you’re too busy looking at the big picture. Things the big picture would not be, without.
It’s like a simple tug of hands that turn into…
“Roman.”
Surfacing from the sea of thoughts, Roman realizes that the other has shifted closer to him, their faces inches apart. A sweet smile greets him, before Virgil disconnects their intertwined fingers, and like it was natural, they pull each other into a gentle embrace.
There is no grand gesture of love from either of them today. There is no trophy worthy novel written. There is no moment of spotlight, no fireworks exploding in the sky; Instead, there lays a man who has taken the long trek into the dark cave, comforted by the silence, and the beautiful purple gem shining his arms.
And how fitting, Roman thinks, that hidden in the black cotton fabric of Virgil’s sweater, are purple threads that keep it tied together.
How subtle, his gem.

Heist Gone Wrong
AO3 Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/43881277
Characters: Logan, Patton, Remus, Roman, Virgil, and Janus.
Words: 3,060
TW: I think it's all good. Let me know if I'm wrong
Notes: This is written for @lostinmyfictionaluniverses as part of the @sanderssidesgiftxchange I hope you have a fun holiday season and you get yourself a little treat. I would like to thank the mods for putting this all together. I had such a fun time writing this. I hope everyone who reads this enjoys this funny little art heist sanders sides one-shot.
"Does everyone understand the plan?" Logan asked, setting down his wooden pointer.
The group in front of him nods.
"Remus and Patton, do either of you remember what step 4 is?" Logan asked the two with a smug look on his face
"OOH!" Remus raises his hand quickly, jumping up and down in his seat.
"Yes, Remus?" Logan sighed.
"Kill everyone in the room and use the blood to cover where the painting was!"
"Maybe… go through the plan one more time, Logan." Patton said gently.
"That's what I thought. Step 1, Roman will create a forgery of the painting. Step 2, Janus will sneak into the museum accompanied by Patton. Step 3, I will hack into the security system and put all the cameras in a loop to make sure no one sees anything. Step 4, Remus will cause a distraction while Roman sneaks the forgery inside. Step 5, Janus finds the painting while Patton keeps all the other guards from finding Janus stealing the painting. Step 7, we replace the painting with the fake one Roman created. Step 8, we get out of the museum, and Virgil will drive us away. Step 9, we return the stolen art to the original artist. Are we all clear now?"
Once again, everyone nods.
"What's the worse thing that can happen?" Janus asked with a smirk on their face.
"You said that on purpose. I have a list I can read out for you, if you want." Virgil said, glaring at them.
"Okay, okay. Let's not fight. This is going to go perfectly." Patton told Virgil while standing in between the two.
"You can't say that either!" Virgil yelled, pulling at his hair.
"I'm sorry. Knock on wood." Patton said quickly while knocking on their wooden coffee table.
"So how is the replica coming along, Roman?" Logan asked, trying to change the subject.
"It's nearly there. It just needs something." Roman told him.
"Blood! Mucus! Slime! Some other questionable substance?" Remus suggested.
Roman scrunched up his face. "Ew. You're not helping."
"I will take a look at it and help you figure it out." Logan told him. Logan and Roman left the room.
"I started working on my costume months ago and am now done." Janus said, looking at their manicured nails. "In other completely unrelated news. Patton, you have a spare security uniform, right?"
"Yeah, you can have my spare. I'll go get it." Patton told him.
"I don't need it, of course. I simply want to compare the two."
The two left, leaving Remus and Virgil alone.
"I can't imagine this going well. I'm not even sure why I decided to do this in the first place. I'm gonna cause a police chase. We're all going to go to jail and I'm going to fuck something up-"
"Nah don't worry about that. If anyone is going to fuck something up. It's gonna be me, emo, but it'll be on purpose."
"Please don't."
Remus chucked and crept out of the room. "What a prick…" Virgil mumbled under his breath.
"I am not quite sure what you think is missing. It looks fine-" Logan said, staring at the false art.
"I don't want it to look fine. It needs to be an exact replica!" Roman was pacing around his studio, mumbling about all the details he put into the painting, trying to figure out what the art was missing.
"Roman, it does not need to be perfect. It just needs to look enough like the painting so we have the time to get away before we are caught. We have recovered works of art before without anyone knowing it was gone, and I have no doubt in my mind that we can do it again." Logan told him.
"Well what if it's not good enough!? What if my forgery gets recognized too quickly? We won't be far enough away from the museum when the police start chasing us. Maybe we won't even get that far. The security guards-"
Logan cut him off once more. "If everyone follows my plan, we won't need to worry about the security guards at all. Patton and Janus will have them distracted, most likely with awful dad jokes."
Logan didn't want Roman to know that he was also worried about the heist. It was his plan, after all. If something went wrong, it was his fault. He didn't plan for it and couldn't deduce a solution. Logan could not let Roman know this because he needed all the answers. Having Roman worry more wasn't going to help in the long run.
"Well you know what's best. After all, you're the smart one." Roman stated.
"Obviously. I am going to retire to my room now. Please try and get some rest, Roman."
"Will do, Specs."
In Patton's room with Janus, Patton was hunched over in his closet, pulling things out and throwing them on the floor.
"Are you sure you have this?" Janus asked.
"Well I might have given it to a coworker of mine…" Patton trailed off.
Janus pinched the bridge of their nose. "I can make do. This might surprise you, but I don't have a disguise ready.
Patton laughed nervously, still rummaging through his closet. "Oh really? I had no idea." he said as playfully as he could.
"Why did you give away the uniform anyway?' Janus asked.
"Well he spilled some soda on himself and I always keep my spare in my bag in case someone needs it. I told him that he could borrow the shirt. He was so nice and even said he would wash it before he gave it back to me."
Janus just nodded. Patton stood up and stretched his back out. Janus sighed, hearing the crackling of Patton's back. "Take this advice from someone who has chronic pain, you need to stretch more often."
"Yeah I know. I keep saying I will, but I never do. Just like me saying I should clean my room more often, especially the closet." Patton told Janus. He said this as he shoved the pile of clothes back into his closet.
"I should get started on that uniform so I can finish it before Logan stars nagging me."
"Good luck!" Patton called out while Janus left the room. He sighed, looking at the pile of clothes in the closet before closing the door. It was too much work to do to clean that up now. It didn't seem like a problem before.
Everyone had trouble sleeping that night. They were all worried about something not going according to plan, except Remus. He was just too excited to sleep.
It was the morning of the heist. Everyone was tired. Patton was still the first one up to start making breakfast for everyone. Logan was the next one down. Patton put on a smile for him. "Did you sleep well, Logan?" he asked.
"To tell you the truth, I could have slept better."
"Aw, I'm sorry to hear that, bud."
Janus came down just as Patton finished breakfast, followed by the twins, who all looked sluggish. Virgil was the last person to come downstairs, looking just as tired as everyone else, but that was a common occurrence.
"Based on everyone's faces, I deduce I am not the only one who did not get a good quality sleep last night."
Everyone mumbled in agreement, even Patton, trying his best to hide his drowsiness.
"No matter. I want everyone to try and sleep today. We will continue as planned. The more rested we are, the more successful this mission will be."
Everyone nodded and promised they would get some sleep before the heist. They had done this several times before, so why were they all so nervous?
Janus, Logan, and Patton were the only three who had tried to sleep before the heist. All three were unsuccessful.
Patton and Janus left a few hours before the rest of them to secure Janus' cover as a security guard at the museum. Patton had been working there for a while now. That's how they found out about the stolen art in the first place.
At the front doors of the museum, Janus took a deep breath. "My name is Dee Jordan. I am 31 years old."
"Why three years younger than you are?"
"Shush. I'm babysitting my nephew Declan, and I need the extra cash, hence the night shift job." Janus finished their mumbling, and they took another deep breath. "Alright, I'm in character. Let's do this." they said with a fake voice.
"Wow. That is amazing!" Patton exclaimed. He unlocked the door using his ID, and they entered the building.
Patton led Janus into the security room, where one of his coworkers was, waiting for his shift to start.
"Hey, Patty! I bought some donuts before I came here, do you want one?" Patton's coworker, Carl, asked.
"Thank you, Carl." Patton said before taking a chocolate-covered donut with sprinkles. "This is our new coworker-"
"Dee Jordan. It's nice to meet you. I won't have this job for long. It's just supposed to be an easy payment." Janus lied.
"Well, it's pretty dull. There's like nothing to do, and the alarms are always faulty." said Carl. "Do you and Patton know each other?"
"Yes." "No." Patton and Janus said in sync, respectively. Patton was not okay with lying to his coworkers. He had known them for so long.
"What do you mean?" Carl asked.
"What he means is we met here before, but we don't actually know each other." Janus said before Patton could speak.
"We should get started with patroling the museum." said Patton quickly.
"Alright. I'll see you later, buddy." Carl said to Patton."
The two started walking away from the security room. Janus turned to Patton and told him, "Next time that someone asks us a question, please leave the talking to me. I know you don't like lying."
"But, keeping information from people is still a lie." Patton huffed.
"It's not a lie if they don't have the right to know." Janus fired back. Janus sent Logan a quick text to let Logan know they had gotten inside with no trouble.
In the van a few streets away, Logan started to tap into the museum security cameras.
"Has anything gone wrong yet?" Virgil asked.
"For the hundredth time, no." Roman told him, inspecting his painting.
"Not yet anyway." Remus said.
"Would you three please be quiet. I need my full concentration. As long as everything goes according to my plan, we will be able to get away with this." Logan snapped at them.
Everyone was quiet after that, even Remus. The only sounds in the van were Logan's fingers tapping on the keyboard and Virgil's leg bouncing.
After a few moments, Logan got into the security cameras and put all of them on a 5-second loop. He was certain no one was on the looped footage and sent Janus a text saying step 3 was complete.
"Hey Patton, friend, buddy, pal, a synonym for a friend." Janus started.
"What is it? Did something go wrong?" Patton asked, worry in his voice.
"No, but do you remember what step 3 was?"
"Oh." Patton sighed in relief. "It was the distraction. I'm at least 87% sure."
Janus laughed. "That's a specific number. Too specific to be wrong. I'll meet Roman at the meeting point."
Janus got to the meeting point, a fire escape near the gallery the stolen art was in. Remus said the distraction was loud enough to drown out the noise of the alarm, so they opened the door. The fire alarm blasted, and Janus covered their ears. Roman wasn't at the door. They peeked their head outside and looked around. Roman wasn't in sight.
"What happened over here?" someone from behind Janus asked. This wasn't supposed to happen. Everyone was supposed to be wherever Remus caused the distraction. Something went wrong.
Janus turned around. "I heard the alarm go off, so I ran toward the noise.
"Ah, you must be new. This door is always a bit fussy. It scared me on my first night shift too. I swear the slightest gust of wind can cause it to go off. I'm Maddison, by the way." she said.
"I'm Dee." Janus told her. The two shook hands and jumped when they heard a loud boom and several crashes.
"I've never heard that one before. Let's go check it out." Maddison said. She grabbed Janus by the wrist and started running towards the sound. They found a giant hole in the wall. Everyone came to check it out, including Patton, who saw Janus at the scene and became very nervous. They weren't supposed to be here. Something went wrong.
"I cannot believe someone blew up a wall. Who would go through the trouble of doing this?" Maddison mumbled to herself.
"I didn't see anything on the cameras. I should have though, right?" Carl asked himself.
"I didn't see anything either." Patton said. It felt wrong to keep information from his two closest coworkers, but he knew he had to. He couldn't believe Remus would do something this extreme. Well, yes, he would. This came as a surprise to no one.
"What do we do now?" Janus asked, dumbfounded.
"We shouldn't call the police. They only make matters worse." Carl said. He gave Maddison a slight nod, who nodded back at him. Something suspicious was happening, and it wasn't just the art heist.
"You blew up an entire wall, Remus." Roman whisper-yelled to his brother.
"No way. I did not blow up the entire wall, just most of it." Remus said as a matter of factly.
"They know someone is sneaking in now." Roman told him.
"Then you better hurry up and replace the painting then." Remus told him as he started walking back to the van.
Roman would have argued more, but he was right. They had to finish this job now. Roman ran to the meeting point to meet up with Janus. The door was open, thankfully, but Janus wasn't there. Something went wrong. He couldn't wait for them. He needed to find that stolen painting as soon as possible.
Roman raced through the gallery, trying to find the painting. He eventually found where the artwork was supposed to be. There was a sign with the thief's name and their fake title, but no artwork. He sent Logan a panicked text explaining the situation.
"That was completely irresponsible, Remus." Logan scolded him.
"Hey, it was loud enough to drown out the fire alarm and caused all the workers to check it out." Remus defended himself.
"Including Janus. Luckily they left the door open for Roman. Unfortunately, someone stole the painting before we could."
"WHAT!?" Virgil yelled. He started mumbling to himself and spiraling into a panic attack.
"I'll help Roman get out of there. You help Virgil." Remus said. He wasn't stupid. He knew when it was time to get serious. This could have serious consequences.
"Not to worry, Virgil. This is a minor set back. We have to tell our client that someone else stole their artwork, and there is nothing more that we can do."
"They'll be disappointed with us." Virgil told him through shakey breaths and tears.
"No, they won't. I'm confident we got further than they expected us to get. Now, let's work on your breathing."
"Okay." Virgil mumbled.
Remus snuck into the museum through the open fire escape. He found his brother in the gallery where the art was supposed to be. "Alright, we need to leave before we get caught. Take the painting with you. We can't let anyone know we were ever here." Remus told him.
"Right." Roman said as he got up and followed Remus through the entrance they came in through.
The two made it back to the van without being detected.
"Okay, we will be here for another moment while I reset the museum security cameras. Then, we will be on our way back home. No one will know we were there. Janus and Patton will make sure of that." Logan said while sending a text to Janus and Patton to let them know the updated plan. The text he got back was far more concerning.
"Let's go back where we were and try to find the intruder." Maddison told Janus. She grabbed them by the wrist and led them away from Patton and Carl.
Once they were out of sight, Carl let out a sigh of relief. "I'll let you in on a little secret on why I'm not too worried about this."
"What's happening?" Patton asked.
"Do you remember when I told you that someone was taking credit for someone else's artwork here?" Carl asked. Patton just nodded. "Maddison and I were going to do something about that. We took the painting down and hid it in her car. We were going to say that the art thieves held us at gunpoint and threatened to shoot us if we tried to stop them. I really hope you don't think less of us."
Patton nodded once more. "I have a confession too." Patton explained everything he and "Dee" were doing but left everyone else's name out of it to Carl.
Carl called Maddison back to the hole in the wall and told them to bring Janus with her.
"Well I guess the cat's-" Janus started. "Meow." Patton interrupted.
"Now that you two are in on the plan, we can call the police." Carl stated.
Maddison started the phone call while Carl got the story straight with Patton and Janus.
The police came a few hours later and questioned all the security guards all individually. They didn't suspect a thing.
Janus, Patton, Carl, and Maddison all went home. Patton brought the painting to the original owner, who thanked him for returning it.
On the drive back home, Patton and Janus could finally talk without the fear of being listened to. "How come you didn't have a problem lying to the police?" Janus asked.
"I am surprised at you, Janus. It's always morally correct to lie to police officers." Patton told him. Janus laughed. "Too true." he said. A moment of silence went by before Patton spoke up. "You might hate me for this, but that spare uniform was in my bag the whole time."

Finished writing this fan fic!
It's a Beauty and the Beast Sanders Sides AU with:
Logan as Belle,
Janus as The Beast,
Patton as the Enchantress/Belle's Father
Remus as the Candle
Virgil as the Clock
Roman as Gaston
And many Easter egg characters including but not limited to:
Emile as Mrs. Pots
Elliot as Chip
Remy as the Wardrobe
Thomas as a dog (he's actually a really important supporting character XD)
Here's the link if you're interested!
Also I took out the Stockholm Syndrome that Beauty and the Beast is infamous for so you're welcome
And don't worry I didn't make Roman a full on bad guy like Gaston

There’s a Writer’s Room meeting this Saturday to discuss the SaSi S2 finale + for Thomas to get ideas. I cannot wait to see how this’ll affect its quality. /s
Seriously this Writer’s Room thing on Patreon has been a horrible idea since I heard about it. Are the writers and Thomas so incapable of thinking up a plot/characterization/organic conflicts that they have to get it from the fans? This is just a way for Fanders to see their personal headcanons/theories/fave ships get exposure or even come true in the canon series. Their own personal fanfiction come to life. It was already bad enough that Thomas has been inspired enough by fan art to contemplate costume changes for the 3rd season (i.e. round glasses and friendship bracelets for Patton - this plus the writer’s room meeting I all heard on Twitter), but now he’s relying on the Fanders to write the story for him. He says he won’t read fanfiction until the show ends bc he doesn’t want to get influenced, but he’s fine with this shit? I swear one of these days he’s gonna accept someone’s idea as his own and they’re gonna sue for credit. The last 2 Asides + anniversary vid all were fan-servicey enough as they were, I don’t wanna think of how the 4-parter is gonna turn out.
And what’s really sucky is that I still care for the show. I still care for the characters. I want to see how it all ends. But I fear for its future.
Yikes!
I thought that Thomas was done writing the first part of the finale,,, but having a writers room... at least those patreon members are finally getting their money's worth right?
I actually mentioned this as well when the patreon was founded and the writers room was introduced. I mentioned concerns of copyright and how if Thomas was going to be going to using ideas people gave him, he'd need to pay them.
And yet, you're paying him to use your ideas. Feels a bit scammy tbh. Also with the fanservice, many creators lose their original vision when going with fanservice, so I can see where that would be a concern of yours.
As a fanfic author and someone with nearly 120 works posted on Sanders Sides, I can say that I wouldn't want Thomas to read my works and then use that in his videos, and so I can see where you're coming from with the fanart take. Hopefully he doesn't steal ideas, but originality do be dead, so who knows.
I am with you on this one- I care for the series and want to see it to it's bitter end, and I fear for how it is going to go. It's not up to us how it ends, it's up to Thomas and I hope that he doesn't lose his original vision.
And that he maybe pays people in the writers room if they're gonna be helping on his scripts and ideas.

Haru’s Doom
A/N - This was not a request, i was the one who thought of this- and it would not get out of my head until i had done it jdhdjdb
Anyways- enjoy my stupidity if you must
Lee/Ler/Switch - Lee!Haru, Ler!Virgil
Sanders sides x oc fanfic
Words: 1.08k
Summary - Haru has done the unthinkable, And it was a complete accident to! Now, Haru is on the run as he only has seconds to run and hide. He sure has to pay the price now. And that price is laughter
------------------
"I SAID I WAS SORRY!"
"Sorry isn't gonna cut it! You have to pay the price!"
Haru dashed around the mind palace as he tried to escape the vengeful anxious side behind him. You might be wondering why he's trying to outrun the dark side.
He broke Virgil's headphones.
And it was a complete accident! But as soon as he saw Virgil place his phone down and stood up slowly, Haru quickly ran out of that place, Virgil right on his tail. Haru already knew what Virgil was going to do once he catches him, so of course the ravenette was all blushy and giddy. The male looked behind him as he was running before squealing when he saw that Virgil was gaining up to him. "GOHO AWAHAY!" He shrieked as he turned back around and continued running from the anxious side.
Virgil only grinned darkly in response. "No can do. You brought this upon yourself when you broke my headphones." Virgil chuckled as he heard Haru squeal.
"Ihihi sahaid i wahas sorry! It wahas an accident, i swear!" The ravenette shouted back before turning a corner, soon realizing that it was a dead end. he was about to turn back around to run before he felt Virgil grab onto his sides lifting him up and throwing him over his shoulder. Haru started squealing and pounded onto Virgil's back to be let go. "NO! NOHOHOHO! LET MEHE GOHO!" He shouted as Virgil started walking to the living room and chuckled.
"No can do, buddy. You're gonna have to pay the price for this." Virgil spoke as he threw Haru onto the couch. Haru tried to hurry off the couch so he could escape, but Virgil quickly pinned him down to the soft cushions.
Haru blushed a crimson red as Virgil placed his hands onto his sides. "V-Vihirgil, plehehase!" He stuttered out as he looked up at the smirking dark side. "Hmm... tell me, why should i grant you mercy right now?" Virgil asked sinisterly. Haru gulped before he started speaking, "B-behecause you lohove me?" he said, which actually sounded like a question. Virgil squeezed Haru's sides making him squeal which soon turned into laughter as Virgil continued to squeeze his sides.
"That wasn't good enough. So, now you must suffer the consequences." The anxious side said as he smirked darkly, "Besides, you like this, don't you?" He asked, chuckling at the blush and whine come from the demon. "Nohohot truhue!" Haru replied, squealing again when Virgil started to kneed into the male's stomach. "Nohohot thehehere!" He giggled as he kicked his legs behind Virgil.
"Then where do you want me to tickle you? Here?" Virgil teased as his hands moved to his armpits, scratching into the male's hollows. Haru shrieked as he then started laughing much more now. "V-VIHIHIRGIL!" Haru laughed out as he hid his face into his shoulder, trapping Virgil's hands inside of his armpits.
"Yohou gohot my hands stuck! How do you expect me to stop tickling you if you trapped my hands inside of your armpits?" Virgil chuchkled as he continued to scribble his fingers inside of his armpits, making the ravenette start squealing.
"GEHEHEHET THEHEM OHOUT! I CAHAN'T!" Haru shrieked as tears suddenly started to form in his eyes. "You have to lift your arms up! I won't be able to take them out if you don't." Virgil said, watching as Haru's face got even more red. Deciding to do it, Haru slowly started lifting his arms, and as promised, Virgil stopped tickling him. Haru sighed in relief before he felt hands on his hips.
"N-noho, Vihihirgil nohoho! I cahan't take it thehere!" Haru pleaded as he started kicking more frantically, shrieking when Virgil squeezed them to get him laughing. "VIHIHIRGIL!" Virgil just chuckled in response. "Sorry, it has to be done. Any last words before you get wrecked?" Haru started giggling as he shook his head uncontrollably. "Plehehase! J-juhuhst let mehe goho!"
Virgil raised an eyebrow before digging into the ravenette's hips. "Strange last words but it'll do." He shrugged before smirking. "Tickle tickle, Haru." he teased the male, seeing that Haru was laughing uncontrollably as his worst spot was getting destroyed.
"N-NAHAHAHAHA! NAHAT THEHERE! VIHIHIRGIL!" Haru cackled as he kicked his legs desperately for a chance of escaping. "IHI CAHAHAN'T TAHAKE IHIT!" He squealed as he curled up underneath Virgil.
Virgil looked down at Haru, noticing he tears in his eyes streaming down his face. The anxious side hummed before speaking. "Are you sorry for breaking my headphones?" He asked. Haru squealed yet again as Virgil hit a spot on his hips. "Y-YEHEHES! IHI AHAM! JUHUHUST STAHAP!" Haru shrieked, soon calming down as Virgil finally stopped torturing the poor male. Giggles still slipped out of his mouth as Virgil got off of him. "I-ihi'm sohohorry.." Haru spoke, still giggling as he looked up at Virgil who was on the ground staring at him.
"It's alright, really. But make sure that it doesn't happen in the future, alright?" Virgil said softly as he rubbed Haru's back to calm him down. Haru's tail started wagging as Virgil rubbed his back. "o-okay, it wohon't happen agahain." Haru said as he wiped the tears that were still streaming down his face.
Virgil soon started smiling, "Good, or else i'll tickle you much worse than what i did just now." He stated smirking as he made his hands look like claws. Haru squealed before getting off the couch and running quickly to his room, his giggles could still be heard as he ran.
Virgil chuckled as he got up and went to his own room, listening to music before the event even happened.

Writer's block is legitimately killing me so I'm doing a whole mini character study on the tss characters in my au. Here's Virgil and Remus.
Virgil is the spymaster. Not the guy cloaked in shadows and riches who directs the spies — oh HELL no. He's the tattered servant that none of the rich people think twice about. He's paid very handsomely by the king (Thomas, in this) to listen in on conversations and gossip and report it back to him. Virgil loves his job. Nobody expects him to be the one who has all the secrets and yet he does. He reports them to Thomas and his advisor (Janus, in this case) and then they are the ones who send out the spies and handle their diplomacy based on the new news.
Think meek and shy man in one room absolutely shedding the facade and going back to confident and scathingly judgemental (like Janus stops pretending to be Patton in that one episode). He's obviously still himself but he's got a sensitive job.
Remus is Thomas' son — one of them, at least. He (along with Roman) are princes who are also training to become knights. Or maybe they're knights already. I haven't decided. But he's known for being the scarier of the two and the one you don't mess with. The rumors about him are WILD. He's truly harmless but there are rumors about him threatening someone for simply coughing in the same room... It's a fake rumor, but one nonetheless. He's really just a sort of interesting guy. He likes the macabre. He's also SEVERELY understimulated doing diplomat work so he usually doesn't. He does a lot of strategy in battles and is known to be quite ruthless. Obviously y'know save the innocent but the people coming against his own army? P i s s o f f.
Also they probably work together. Or the stuff Virgil tells Thomas gets told to Remus by Thomas.
Are they gay for each other in this? Haven't decided! Probably. I still need to iron out relationships and stuff. And everyone's jobs. And roles. And quite possibly the plot. Mostly the plot. Entirely the plot.
Help the writers block is so intense. I wanna throw myself against the wall like wet spaghetti. But like have my sillies^ and tell me what you think
— 👑
Holy shit this AU sounds S O fucking cool oml!!! L O V E how nobody expects Vee to have all the secrets manz has a role to play and he's gonna do it right XD Also L O V E Ree being a man of strategy and ruthlessness in combat he's gonna do everything in his power to protect his people but he does what he does regardless of false rumors he's just a soon to be Knight trying to get by <3 (King!Thomas is a very underrated concept and I'm O B S E S S E D thank you)

The Sides’ Capacity For Saltiness
From most to least:
Virgil
Roman & Janus are tied
Logan (close third)
Patton
Remus - only because he can’t take anything seriously (still a drama queen tho)
This is just a damn shitpost from a place of affection, don’t mind me.

I’m doing a ton of polls right now sorry 💀🤙 I’m trying to figure out which fic to focus on.
The first fic is called Promise: It takes place in a magical type world. (Kinda like the owl house) Roman was born with no magical abilities, and one day while in the market place he meets a shady figure named Deceit who offers him a solution. When Roman leaves, Deceit has a feeling of guilt. Why? (Ships: Prinxiety, Logicality) (Romance, Comedy, Fantasy, Angst)
The second fic is A Bad Habit: A Story that focuses on a high school student named Logan, who meets a new student at the school. He begins to make more friends as time goes on, though (I haven’t exactly finished this story yet so from here I’m spitballing rn.) he has this feeling that things aren’t going to stay this way forever. (Ships: Undecided) (Romance, Comedy, Angst)
I’m open to suggestions or if you have anything you’d like to add or say feel free! Reposts appreciated! 🫶🏼
