stolen walks | 1
Tumblr media
summary: taehyung lashes out at his new dogwalker. and he will be sorry for that. you’ll make sure of it. or: taehyung is liking his wounds, yeontan is liking his balls and you kind of want to lick taehyung’s balls. it’s a story of long walks – figuratively and physically.
rating: overall m
words: 1400
additional tags: e2f2l, age gap [10 years], heartbroken taehyung [at the beginning], former idol taehyung, model taehyung, sugar daddy taehyung, college student reader, deaf side character, ASL is used [but simplified; adapted to English]
warning (contains spoilers): swearwords, taehyung being mean, slight discrimination, disability fraud (see endnote for more on that topic)
info/note: this story continues where chapter 20 of stolen dances leaves off. you do not have to read stolen dances first, but you’ll get spoilered if you read stolen walks first. lower case letters intended. and i do not want to hear a wooooord about yeontan not being able to still be alive that long in the future. please, have a heart.

“did you take out the trash?” your aunt does not care for niceties.
“i said i would, auntie,” you answer, your voice still husky form sleep.
“but did you?” she asks again. now, you sigh. you didn’t even have your coffee yet.
“yes i did, auntie, of course i did.” you want to add ‘don’t you trust me?’ – but right now is not the time to test family ties.
“and what about the dishes, are they clean?” is she talking to an animal?
“i know how to clean up after myself,” you tell her. although the way you mutter it into your phone sounds more like a whiny child than a backtalking adult. in your defense, the coffee maker does take a long time to start in the morning.
“what about the dog?” yeah, what about the dog, you think as you watch yeontan lying in his back, all four legs wiggling in the air. the sun hasn’t even fully come out yet and your client is already too awake for you to keep up.
“tannie is perfectly fine,” you answer as the coffee maker beeps to life. thank the lord! you do a silent happy dance which the pomeranian watches with critical eyes.
“send me a picture, child, will you?” your aunt orders and you roll your eyes at nothing. of course, she doesn’t trust you with kim taehyung’s dog. even though it’s you that is doing her a favor.
“sure, auntie. how is your leg? are you in pain?” now the caffeine is ready and hot, making you a bit more empathetic to your aunt’s situation.
she huffs while you get down on the floor – steaming mug in hand – to sit next to the sweet dog still on its back. yeontan’s eyes lit up when he feels your hand on his belly. a thorough belly rub is a good start in the day, you think, as you hear your aunt huff from the other end.
“i cannot believe i had to break my leg right now, how inconvenient,” she mutters. only your family can make it sound like this is actually your fault. though you weren’t even in the city when it happened.
“rest well auntie, i’ve got everything under control,” you try to appease her. it’s no use as you hear her answering groan. still, you tried.
“then send me the photo of the dog!” she says, clearly agitated with her injury. your fingertips scratch tannie’s skin and you feel his purr under your palm.
“of course,” you mumble and after another round of questioning, you finally end the phone call. falling down next to yeontan, you put your half-finished mug on the carpet next to you. both you and the dog lie there for a second as seoul tries to wake up. and you watch the sunrise from kim taehyung’s penthouse while the model shoots in italy.
**
you hungry? you sign with one hand while the other holds the pitiful rest of your burrito. your friend eyes your dripping taco bell wrapper with a mixture of disgust and astonishment.
but we ate just now! she signs back, accentuating the ‘now’. you just shrug as you crumble up your garbage.
so, just ice cream then? you ask silently and see her shake her head with a chuckle.
lead the way, she signs – clearly giving up – and you happily take her hand as you skip across campus to your favorite ice cream place.
**
i still cannot believe you are house sitting for the kim taehyung, your best friend mari signs while you both devore your dessert.
shush, mari! you can’t just announce it out loud – it’s top secret! you answer back, only to hear her laugh loudly. it’s the highlight of your day when you get mari to laugh; so, your grin is bright.
have you met him already? or talked to him? she signs after taking a deep breath to compose herself. your best friend looks beautiful with her flushed cheeks and the lightest of freckles on her nose.
you shake your head and explain. all the contact goes through my aunt. she’s the one who’s supposed to take care of everything.
but, mari takes a second with her hands in the air, isn’t it weird to be in the house of a former idol?
you think about the rainforest showerhead, the tv that’s bigger than your own bed, the sound system which connects with your fitbit while you work out in the personal gym.
it’s really, you start, but trail off, not sure if weird is the right term.
different? she offers.
decadent, you sign back. mari’s eyes widen before she shoves you, making you lose balance. your ice cream melts on the floor while mari apologizes profoundly to the store owner.
**
“and then i was like – why would i need that layout when not one – not one magazine, tannie, was printed in that format since world war two.”
your knife is pointing at the ball of fluff on the counter. the both of you realized on your second day dog-sitting that your conversations were best held eye to eye. so yeontan took his place on the kitchen counter while you prepped your dinner. it’s not as unsanitary as it sounds, you tell yourself silently while feeding him a piece of sliced carrots.
the dog munches on your treat for a second, still, his eyes are trained on your face, as if to tell you to continue.
“and then he said that we have to be flexible in design formats. flexible. this ass on a stick can’t even bent over for his own professor.”
you justify the not so kind description of your ta with yeontan’s age – this pup has seen and heard worse in his lifetime; you are sure of it.
the knife in your hand swings with ease as you try to continue the well-deserved bashing of your ta. but before you can even open your mouth, you hear an angry voice from the kitchen entrance.
“what the fuck is going on here?” kim taehyung does not look happy. the years have been kind to him, his defined jawline pressed with anger. his hair is ruffled, the red eye flight having left its mark in the man. his shirt looks crumbled, and you don’t miss the light stain on the jacket he so carelessly throws at the chair close to you. it’s his eyes that worry you – the furry of dark brown is fixated on you.
“let my fucking dog go!” now he screams, pointing to the knife in your hand. however, the former idol doesn’t leave you any time to react – within seconds he’s in front of you, knocking the knife out of your hand. you just stare in astonishment as you try to catch up with his actions.
“what the fuck is wrong with you? isn’t killing my dog even a bit harsh for a sasaeng? what do you garbage people actually think you’re accomplishing with this? hm? get out of my fucking house, you scum!” taehyung’s scream is bone chilling, making you wince with every syllable.
the man himself has picked up his dog, cradling him to his chest. there is only disgust in his face when he looks at you. you feel a weight crushing your lungs as you watch your idol of many years cursing you out. you’ve never felt smaller. the last time you cried was at your parents’ funeral. but now, you can already sense the traitorous tears in the corner of your eyes.
“what? got nothing to say, idiot?” he yells. you can’t answer. “are you not only stupid but deaf?”
taehyung’s accusation makes you freeze. it’s been years since you heard deaf and stupid in the same sentence. so, without even thinking about the consequences, you start to sign.
you are really mean, kim taehyung.
with your first gesture, the man stops breathing. it’s like a glass shatters at his feet as he watches you sign. and with this silent ringing in his ears, he looks closely at his surroundings – the prepped food bowl for yeontan, the unfinished stir fry in the pan, the opened bottle of oj next to the fridge and your plush house slippers.
it takes him another moment of silently starring at your challenging eyes when he realizes: he fucked up.
___
hello to you all! i hope you enjoyed the first chapter of my new fic! just as an author’s note: i do not agree with the readers actions, nor do i think that taehyung is totally in the wrong here. i hope i do not disrespect anyone with this storyline. it will only be used throughout the next two chapters. the ASL speaking with mari will be part of the whole story, though.
i’d love to hear what you think about the reader! as always, if you want to be tagged, just ask! lots of love from dana

Hi!! I was wondering if you could do another fic involving jules and coops together? Just like sweet moments between the three? I loved the baby sitting series you did and could not stop thinking about it❤️❤️ Thank you!!
Yeah, of course! I love writing my boy at any opportunity. SW credit goes to @lumosinlove, but the relatives are my ocs!
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Sirius asked under his breath as Remus finally—finally—appeared from the mass of people.
“It’s fine,” Remus said around a forced smile to a middle-aged man across the yard.
Sirius hid his mouth by pretending to look down at the nearest casserole dish. He didn’t even know what was in it; nobody had bothered with labels, and everyone’s dishes were the same basic florals in different colors. “I love you, Re, and I totally get the whole ‘meet the parents’ thing, but this is a bit much if I’m being honest.”
“Honey.” Remus’ shoulder pressed against his own. “I’m sorry you’re not having a good time, but my Aunt Jen would skin me alive if I didn’t bring the man I’m marrying to the family reunion. We can leave tomorrow if you really hate—oh, no.”
“Remus!” a shrill, excited voice called. Sirius felt his fiancé straighten up as a tall, redheaded woman in star-painted jeans hurried across the grass with three other women in tow. She reached up and gave Remus’ cheeks a squish, then leaned in a planted a lipstick-stamped kiss to his forehead. “How are you, my duckling? Was your flight alright? Make sure you stay away from the salt or else your feet will swell.”
“Hi, Aunt Jen,” Remus said, grimacing a little at her rib-crushing hug. “I’m doing well, and our flight was fine. How are you?”
“Peachy keen,” she assured him. Dark brown eyes lasered in on Sirius half a second later and he felt his fight or flight kick in. “And who are you?”
“Aunt Jen, this is—”
“It was rhetorical, honey,” Jen interrupted with a pat to Remus’ arm as she stepped closer to Sirius and immediately hauled him in for a hug. She was as tall as Remus, but broader in the shoulders and hips; he had never felt so engulfed by someone. It was a strangely enjoyable feeling.
“Aren’t you a handsome one?” the shortest of the group cooed, as if she was talking to a particularly small dog in a purse. “Our Remus always knew how to pick them.”
Remus furrowed his brows. “Aunt Lisa, this is the first boyfriend I’ve—”
“But he’s not just a boyfriend!” Jen trilled, giving Sirius’ cheek a pat. “He’s a fiancé, something I learned from your mother. Not from your father—oh, I gave him a talking-to about that—and not from you, duck.”
Sirius bit back a laugh at the nickname and spared a glance to his left, where Remus had gone pink all the way to his ears. “Sorry.”
“Introduce us!” the shortest insisted, taking the other two by the hands as pulling them forward with an eager smile.
“Everyone, this is Sirius Black, my fiancé.” Remus gestured between them, and the four women beamed at him. “Sirius, this is Aunt Jen, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Allison, and Aunt Mary, my dad’s sisters.”
“It’s lovely to meet you,” Sirius said, holding a hand out.
“No need to be so formal,” the brunette grumbled with a teasing grin. “We have heard so much about you from Lyall. After those damned pictures—”
“Allison,” Jen hissed.
“—after the damned pictures,” Allison repeated with a pointed look. “I was about ready to drive up to Gryffindor myself and give that lousy son of a bitch a piece of my mind—”
“Allison!”
“—but Lyall talked me down and I have been waiting to meet you ever since.” She finished with a soft huff and gave his arm a quick squeeze. “Remus is a lucky boy to have you. It’s very exciting to see you in person at last.”
Sirius’ heart gave a happy little ka-thump and he smiled. “I’m glad to be here. Thank you for having me.”
“He is so polite,” Lisa said to Remus out of the corner of her mouth with a wink and a thumbs-up. “Good choice.”
“You know what I just realized? We haven’t said hello to Jules yet. We’ll see you in a few, yeah?” Without waiting for an official answer, Remus wrapped an arm around Sirius’ waist and practically carried him away from the table. Once they were out of earshot—and the aunts had busied themselves with one of the younger Lupins—Remus relaxed with a slow exhale. “I am…so sorry.”
“For what?”
“I had no idea they were going to corner you like that. I mean, I did, but I was hoping it wouldn’t be for another few hours. They tend to move in a pack at reunions, like sharks. Or wolves.”
“They’re really sweet.”
“They are,” Remus said grudgingly, though Sirius could read the affection dripping off him like his favorite book. “My dad’s the youngest of five, and I was the first nephew. You can imagine how that went.”
“Baby of the baby?”
“Exactly.”
“Can I ask one thing?” Remus nodded, visibly confused, and Sirius found he couldn’t keep his grin down any longer. “Duckling?”
“I hoped you didn’t hear that,” he groaned as they headed toward the kids’ play area beneath a large oak. “Long story short, it involved five-year-old me, a pond, and a sinus infection that made me sound like a duck when I sneezed.”
“Oh my god,” Sirius laughed, earning himself a light elbow to the ribs. “And the name stuck?”
“Considering she was the one that had to stay with me while my folks were working, she could call me whatever the hell she wanted. Please don’t ask her about it unless you want a thirty-minute TED talk about the ins and outs of my sinuses.”
“She’s a doctor?”
“No, she just overshares.”
“Sirius!”
Sirius looked up and saw a herd of small children racing toward them, led by his favorite person under the age of eighteen; Jules crashed into his legs and squeezed him tight around the waist. “Hey, I missed you!”
Jules propped his chin below Sirius’ sternum and stared up at him with the classic hazel-gold eyes that were far more common than Sirius believed before they arrived in the Lupins’ backyard. “I missed you, too! How’s the team? How’s Harry? Is he still super small or did he do that weird thing that babies do where their legs grow and the rest of them still looks normal? How was your flight? Did you have turbulence?”
Sirius thought for a moment. “Good, also good, growing normally, and yes.”
“Sweet! Come play cornhole with us!” Jules grabbed his hand and dragged him along the grass at the closest thing he could manage to a sprint with Sirius’ added weight—the pre-teen years had lent him gangly legs, though he didn’t seem quite sure how to use them yet. He looked more like a foal than a sixth-grader.
“What the hell is cornhole?” Sirius muttered as the flock of kids ran ahead to grab armfuls of beanbags.
Remus grinned. “Something I’m about to kick your ass at.”
------------------------------------
By the time the sun set, Sirius was exhausted. He had been introduced to dozens of people who looked just enough like Remus to be eerie, as well as plenty who seemed to have been acquired by one Lupin or another over the course of their life. Jules fluctuated between laminating himself to Sirius’ side and disappearing for an hour at a time, only to return more grass-stained and rumpled than ever as he begged Remus to swing him around by the ankles again. His ass had been thoroughly kicked at cornhole and freeze tag; it was a true miracle he hadn’t already passed out into a food coma. For all of his earlier griping, Sirius couldn’t think of a time in recent months when he had been more content.
“You’re a brave soul,” Remus remarked as they sat in the grass together and watched the fireflies wake. Though it was a warm night, it seemed the citronella candles littering the tables were doing their job of chasing off mosquitoes.
Sirius leaned his head on Remus’ shoulder. He smelled like grass and summertime and sunbaked warmth. “Am I?”
“Mhmm. I’m sure most people would have run screaming by now.”
“I like your family.”
A beat of silence passed; Remus rested his temple against the top of Sirius’ head. “I’m really glad to hear that. They’re weird and loud, but I love them.”
“And I love you.”
“Are you saying I’m weird and loud?”
“On occasion.”
“Asshole,” Remus laughed, giving him a nudge that hardly qualified as more than a gentle sway.
“Language, there are eight million kids around.”
“They’re busy.”
Sirius watched as small group run by in a wave of giggles, all clutching mason jars of fireflies with their names written on masking tape. “Thank you again for asking me to come with you.”
“Like I said, Aunt Jen would—”
“Remus.” He fell quiet. Sirius didn’t remember the last time he said Remus’ full name aloud. “Your family loves you so much. They’re everything I ever wanted growing up, and it means the world that you wanted to share them with me. All they want is to see you happy. It was amazing to finally meet them.”
“They really, really love you,” Remus said softly, his voice a little thick. “I had about twenty people tell me how wonderful you are. They all thanked me for bringing you, and not a single one mentioned the celebrity thing. Even my Uncle Jay didn’t say a word about hockey.”
“He was the one in the jersey?”
“I’ve known him for my entire life and I’ve never seen him without one.”
“Huh.” Sirius tucked his face closer to Remus’ neck and let the sound of the bullfrogs in a distant marsh lull him. “What time is it?”
“Almost eleven. The adults will be up for a while, but the kids will start crashing soon.”
Footsteps on the cool grass rustled to their right and Sirius looked up. “Who wants pie?” Aunt Allison singsonged, breaking their quiet bubble with paper plates and utensils. “This one is blackberry, but we have peach, pumpkin, and a few others on the table if you’re still hungry.”
“Just a small piece, please,” Sirius said.
Allison paused and cocked her head, then burst out laughing. “Oh, you’re funny!”
“I am?”
“Don’t fight it,” Remus whispered.
“You are a growing boy,” Allison said as she cut a thick slice and plonked it onto his plate. “And there’s no such thing as too much pie.”
I’m 26, Sirius wanted to say, though he held it in. “Just a small one for me, as well,” Remus said.
“Ha!” Allison snorted. “You’re already too skinny. Eat your pie or you’ll end up a string bean like your father. The NHL might have given you muscle, but it’s useless if you don’t enjoy some of your favorite aunt’s—”
“—woah, hey now—”
“—pie once in a while.” Allison kissed the tops of their heads once both plates were secure and bowing in the middle. “I’m going to make sure the kids aren’t poking around in the river again. Sleep well, you two.”
Sirius stared down at his plate as she wandered away. “I’m honestly going to die if I eat this.”
“Yeah, please don’t make yourself sick on pie. You really don’t have to eat all of that. The aunts and uncles are convinced that none of us are eating properly once we turn eighteen.”
“Really?”
“I wish I was kidding. You’re going to sleep so well tonight, though.”
As if on cue, Sirius stifled a yawn with the back of his hand and cuddled under Remus’ arm again. A familiar shadow bounded over not two seconds later and he barely held down a groan. “Hey, can I join you?”
Remus shrugged. “ ‘course.”
“Sweet.” Jules settled himself across their laps, staring at the sky with his head pillowed on Sirius’ thigh. “Did you have fun? I’m really glad you could come.”
“I had a great time,” Sirius answered honestly. Now please move on so I can take a nap.
“Mom and dad and me got here yesterday, and Aunt Jen kept checking the door for you guys even though she knew you weren’t coming until today. She was worried you wouldn’t like us, I think.”
“That was never an option, Jules.”
“Yeah, I know.” A devilish grin flickered over his face. “Remus is the weirdest of all of us, and if you want to marry him—”
“Get off,” Remus grumbled, shoving Jules’ legs onto the picnic blanket. “You know, you were a lot nicer before you turned eleven. Can I return you and get a new one? I have the receipt somewhere.”
“Nope.”
“That’s all a birth certificate is, right?” Sirius raised his eyebrows. “If you bring it back in good condition, I hear they give you a ten percent discount.”
Jules scowled. “That’s so not true.”
“How do you think I got Regulus?”
“Isn’t it past your bedtime?” Remus asked with a pointed look. “Run along, problem child.”
“Of the two of us, I’m the least problematic.” Despite his words, Jules clambered to his feet and dusted his hands off over Remus’ head. “I’m not the one that got a secret boyfriend and got engaged in a year. I’m so easy. Mom and dad want two of me.”
“Keep telling yourself that,” Remus sighed as he stretched out on the blanket. “They had a second kid because they wanted two of me.”
“You’re adopted.”
Remus cracked one eye open in disbelief. “No, I’m not.”
“How do you know?”
“Because—y’know what, go to bed. Or go find the stampede, I think they’re by the river.”
Sirius whistled lowly as Jules scampered off again. “That was impressive. Isn’t your aunt over there?”
“Yep.”
Realization clicked into place. “She’s going to make him go to bed.”
“Yep.”
“You’re brilliant.”
Remus smiled without opening his eyes, and tugged Sirius down by the sleeve to lay next to him. “You’re just figuring that out now?”
The stars were brighter than anywhere Sirius had ever seen; for a moment, he was struck speechless by the endless rivers of sparkling white overhead. He stared until his eyes burned from dryness, then put his head on Remus’ chest and kept on looking. There was no way he could tear his gaze from it. A few shooting stars streaked across the clear sky and he felt his heart skip a beat in pure amazement when he realized there was nothing else he would wish for in that moment. He could listen to Remus’ heartbeat and the sound of his new family talking against a backdrop of the night, relishing in a full belly and cool wind, and simply stay there for as long as he liked.

Tumblr media
part one
~~
“And then what?” Her voice was eager.
Aelin shrugged, her lips tilting up into a small smile as she gazed at the green eyes across from her. “Then he kissed me.” Being completely honest, Aelin could remember the kiss as if it was yesterday. Could still feel his hard body pressed against hers and the fading taste of alcohol on his lips.
“Bullshit,” a voice scoffed from behind her. Aelin whirled to face the matching turquoise eyes and she arched a brow, causing him to visibly swallow.
“Excuse you? As far as I recall, I don’t remember you being there.”
Her son shook his head, plopping down on the open area of the couch beside her and taking her feet into his lap. “I didn’t need to be,” he shrugged. “You and Dad tell the story often enough. Everyone knows that you-”
He was cut off as Eliora’s hand slapped over his mouth. “No spoiling, Sammy! I wanna hear the story!” Aelin laughed at her six-year-old and pulled her onto her lap, kissing her cheek as she did so. She gazed at Eliora for a moment; she truly was a beautiful child, even if Aelin was a little bias.
“That’s right, Eliora,” Aelin grinned at her daughter. “And what did we say about spoiling?”
“Don’t do it,” she replied definitively with a firm shake of her head. Aelin couldn’t help but squeeze Eliora a bit tighter as she opened her mouth to continue the story. Her mouth closed as another body entered the living room.
“What are we doing?” Nehemia asked, coming to sit by her twin on the couch. Shoulder to shoulder, Aelin’s eyes stared back at her. Sam rolled his eyes.
“Mama’s telling me a love story,” Eliora gushed to her sister, her green eyes alight with childlike excitement. “The greatest of all time!”
Nehemia gazed at Eliora with pure love, even as she leaned over to whisper something in her brother’s ear. Aelin was just able to hear, “She’s telling it again, huh?”
“I told you we should have gone to Aunt Lys’s house,” was her son’s muttered response. Nehemia snorted, leaning back over the couch until she was eye to eye with Eliora.
“Greatest of all time, huh? Must be a good one.” Her eyes twinkled with a mischievous glint Aelin could only credit to herself.
“It is,” Aelin finally cut in. “And if you would stop interrupting, I would be able to finish it.”
The sixteen year-olds rolled their eyes, gazing at one another in a silent language only they could understand. But Aelin didn’t need to hear their dialogue to understand that they had heard the story enough times. But Aelin couldn’t help it. She just loved telling it. Gazing at the sparkling emerald on her finger, Aelin didn’t think she would ever get sick of telling it.
“So, as I was saying.” She bounced Eliora playfully in her lap until she giggled. “He kissed me and-”
“Aelin Galathynius Whitethorn, you better not be telling my daughter that I kissed you at that party!” Aelin had been so absorbed in her kids that she had barely registered her hulking husband walking into the room. He stood at the door, arms crossed in front of his body as he glared at her, emerald eyes meeting turquoise in a clash of passion. Rowan was still in his work clothes, clearly having just arrived, and Aelin was really trying not to drool at how good he looked with his hair ruffled and his tie undone around his neck.
She threw up her hands with an exasperated sigh.
“Gods, what does a girl have to do to finish a story around here?”
The floor of their living room creaked as Rowan came to sit beside Aelin and Sam on the couch, his gaze never leaving hers. Rowan leaned forward, catching Aelin’s lips with his for a quick kiss before settling back down on the couch. Nehemia immediately rested her head on her father’s shoulder and was rewarded with a warm kiss to the top of her head.
Aelin gazed at them with fondness, love filling her heart. Until her husband’s gaze locked with her own once more, and Aelin smirked.
“You cannot keep telling people that,” Rowan shook his head before turning to their youngest, taking her from Aelin’s lap and shooting his wife an exasperated look. “Eliora, do you remember what Mama and I told you about lying?”
From across from her, Aelin watched Sam snort. He swallowed as his gaze met hers, smile dropping.
Eliora’s tiny eyebrows scrunched up at the top of her head, the look identical to one Aelin constantly saw on Rowan’s face. Finally, she shook her head, gazing up at her father. “It’s… wrong?”
“That’s right,” Rowan smiled down at her. “And we don’t do it. Even if Mama does.” He looked at the gape on his wife’s face before looking down at their daughter once more. “Especially if Mama does.” Aelin stuck her tongue out to her husband, who finally cracked a smile at her. This one sent warmth all the way down to her toes.
“Does this mean Mama can’t finish the story?” Eliora asked, her voice turning sad as she gazed between her family. Rowan laughed, bouncing her up and down before looking at the twins and back at Aelin, an unmistakable look of triumph in his eyes.
“Oh, no no no,” he replied, grinning. “Daddy’s here now. And I’m gonna tell you what really happened. I didn’t want to be at that party, to begin with...”
Aelin didn’t need him to, even if their kids did. She remembered everything about that night. Everything about the days and weeks following she didn’t think she would ever forget them until the day she died. It wasn’t every day you kissed the love of your life at a shitty fraternity rager.
~~
Rowan sat in the kitchen nursing his long since warmed beer. Shitty rap music blared through the speakers around him and it was then that he decided he was better off going back to his dorms before he did something he would regret.
It had been an hour since the kiss. An hour until he had finally gotten to understand what the hype of kissing Aelin Galathynius was. She was a lot of things- but a bad kisser wasn’t one of them. Rowan had sworn to every god imaginable he could handle a kiss with the infuriating blonde. It was just a kiss, right? Just a game.
But her lips had touched his and Rowan knew something was very very different. He hadn’t been able to get the smell of lemon and verbatim out of his senses for the past hour and it was unlikely that he would stop imagining the kiss any time soon.
But it was just a kiss. He didn’t like Aelin Galathynius.
She was annoying, and loud, obnoxious, and rude, and she lived to annoy him.
So why couldn’t he stop thinking of her? Even before the party, after their failed project, he hadn’t been able to stop thinking about those damn turquoise eyes.
It wasn’t that he hated everything about her. No- he had noticed the kind voice she would take when talking to Lysandra’s little sister. And he would be a fool not to notice the special smile that lit up her face when she would play with her dog or talk about literature. No, he didn’t hate her. But whatever he did feel was proving to be extremely problematic. Because there was no way she felt the same way.
Yes- it was definitely time to go home.
Making his way out from behind the kitchen counter, Rowan made to leave the kitchen just as the door went flying open. The sound of laughter rang through the door and Rowan stared at the exact person he was hoping to be done with for the night.
“Not likely, Moonbeam,” she was saying with a shake of her head, even though a spark glimmered in her blue eyes. Rowan had to consciously check himself from staring for too long as Aelin realized who was standing in front of her.
Her hand flew to her chest with wide eyes. “Jesus, Rowan, you scared me!”
Rowan thought it was the first time she had ever said his name. He quite liked the sound of it from her lips.
He was staring again. Full-blown staring at the woman in front of him as he contemplated what to say or do. He was coming up blank. Every thought in his mind seemed to be screaming at him at once. Some saying to run- to flee and never come into contact with her again, others saying to grab her and kiss her. All of them agreed she looked breathtaking in front of him. Like a golden angle.
“Ditto, Galathynius,” he managed out, earning a frown from Aelin. The action brought his gaze to her lips and he quickly looked away. Aelin seemed to have changed as well. Gone was the snarky woman who had spilled her beer all over him, replaced with a beautiful woman who he might’ve been friends with in another life.
“Hey, can we-”
“You know you may want to switch to a different conditioner,” he cut her off, saying the first thing he could think of to leave the conversation. “Your hair’s a little dry.”
Aelin gaped at him, her once lidded eyes turning cold and hard as she scoffed, shoving past him further into the kitchen. “Charming as ever, Whitethorn,” she sniped. “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”
~~
Eliora clapped from her place on her father’s lap.
“It was true love’s kiss!” she cried, earning a laugh from her siblings and parents. It had definitely been something, that was for sure.
“I don’t know…” Aelin mused. “I thought true love’s kiss was reserved for princes, the bravest of them all.” Eliora frowned, as did the twins as their gazes switched to their father.
“I am brave!” Rowan squawked, eyes narrowing. “What are you talking about, Aelin?”
“Why, my dear husband,” Aelin placed her hand on her chest, pretending to be affronted. “It seems you’ve forgotten what happened afterward.” Realization dawned on Rowan’s face before retreating back into a frown. He seemed to hold Eliora tighter as he glared at his wife.
“I haven’t forgotten anything,” he muttered, voice low.
“Wait, wait, wait,” Sam interrupted his parents from his side of the couch. “What do you mean what happened afterward?” This was a part of the story that neither one of their teenagers had heard before. Whether they were too young to understand it, or it had never come up, the twins were now fully invested in the story.
“Yeah,” Nehemia joined in. “You guys got together after the kiss at the party. That was it, right?” At their parents’ silence, the twins looked at each other before bolting upright in their seats.
“Right?” they asked in unison.
Rowan sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose between two fingers. It seemed it was time for a sequel to their family tale.
~~
Rowan was sure there should be a ditch where his feet had paced through the grass in front of Aelin’s dorm. Cursing to whatever gods there were, Rowan forced his feet to stop moving. How was he supposed to apologize to Aelin if he couldn’t even stop pacing from the nervousness of just thinking about it?
It hadn’t taken long after Rowan had left the party for him to realize what an idiotic prick he had been. He had been tempted to drive over to her dorm right then and there and grovel for her forgiveness. But ultimately he had decided against it, choosing instead in favor of avoiding a hangover.
But he was sober now, and an apology was necessary. More than necessary.
He had apologized to people before. He had begged his professors for extensions and apologized after a falling out with an old friend. But he had never planned on asking out any of the people he had been apologizing to. Two days and Rowan had refused to talk about the kiss with anyone. To be honest, he had tried to forget about it himself.
But it seemed it was destined to never leave his mind for the rest of his existence. And as he played the kiss back in his mind, he couldn’t say he minded it. It had been a rude awakening to realize he may have had feelings for Aelin Galathynius. To go from loathing the girl in his chemistry class to suddenly picturing her face everywhere was a big change, and Rowan didn’t know what to do about it.
Rowan wasn’t stupid. Aelin Galathynius was a beautiful person. Gorgeous looks aside, the woman had a pure heart of fire and gold. Of course, he had noticed this in sullen silence, but that wasn’t the point. He could acknowledge her wicked intelligence and her need to fight for something that was important to her. And he knew that she loved unconditionally.
Whether he liked it or not, he had kissed Aelin back, and that had been all him.
He wanted to do it again.
“Fleetfoot, slow down! Hang on a second Lys- Fleetfoot, no!” Rowan whipped around as he heard Aelin’s voice come from behind him. Sure enough, the golden beauty walked along the sidewalk to her dorm, dog leash in hand.
She was dressed in a university sweatshirt and leggings that showed off the curve of her legs, so much so that Rowan was forced to look away. Her phone was between her ear and shoulder as she spoke with who Rowan assumed to be Lysandra. He held back a smile as the massive golden retriever yanked her along the road, apparently following a particularly interesting squirrel.
“I’m telling you, Lys,” she was saying as she came closer, clearly still not seeing him. “It’s not li-” Her feet came to a sudden stop and Rowan’s head snapped up to see her gaze was already on his, eyes wide. Aelin opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Rowan couldn’t find he had anything to say either. Her golden hair ran down her back and Rowan found himself fighting the urge to twirl a strand of it around his finger. She really was breathtaking.
“Lys, I’ll call you back,” she said, eyes not leaving his as she took the phone from her shoulder and ended the call. “Rowan? What are you doing here?”
It was his turn to struggle for words. How would he even bring it up? A week ago the two were on nothing more than insulting terms. She had infuriated him- had tried every nerve in his body and every bit of anger he had. But now…
Aelin’s brows were raised in anticipation. Are you going to answer?
Rowan coughed, finally thrown out of his reverie. Who was he kidding? Aelin didn’t want to go on a date with him? Aelin didn’t want to go anywhere with him. And he couldn’t blame her. Rowan had been nothing but a prick to her since the moment they had met, and it was truly coming back to bite him in the ass.
“Uh, Aedion told me he left something in Lys’s room.” The lie rolled off of his tongue easily enough, yet he hoped Aelin would be able to see through it. It seemed that she didn’t.
“Oh,” she said, understanding and almost shame clouding her words. “Right. What is it? Do you wanna come inside to find it?” Aelin’s dog sat obediently at her heels, looking between the two college kids in silent wonder.
Yeah, dude, Rowan wanted to say. I don’ know what’s happening either.
“No,” he shook his head. “It’s Aedion’s problem. I just thought I could find it before class started but I think it’s too late. He’ll come around later for it.”
“Right,” Aelin said doubtfully, crossing her arms in front of her body and looking at him.
“Right,” Rowan repeated back to her, causing Aelin to raise another brow. He wanted to push it back down. “Well, I’m gonna go- get to… class. So- bye Aelin.” He was gone before she could say anything else, giving her his back and practically sprinting back toward his side of campus.
Rowan Whitethorn was an idiot. He knew it. But one look from Aelin and the cold fear that had rushed through his body had him wanting to curl up into a ball and never speak to her again. But he had to. Rowan would have to talk to her again if he was going to find out who was truly behind those stunning blue eyes.
But even at the thought of speaking to her again-
~~
“Hold on, hold on, I know where this is going,” Nehemia interrupted her father before he could continue his sentence. “You avoided her didn’t you?” As Rowan’s cheeks flamed, Sam sat upright in his seat, a shit-eating grin on his face.
“No way. You avoided her?” Aelin cackled as Rowan grumbled something under his breath, earning herself another glare. Nonetheless, Aelin tucked herself under her husband’s arm, reaching up to plant a kiss on his cheek. He seemed to soften at the touch, green eyes meeting hers in a look so full of love Aelin thought she might explode.
“Well, what is it, old man?” Sam prompted. Rowan scowled at his son and daughter, both of who looked ready to pass out from restrained laughter.
“Only for a couple of weeks,” he muttered lowly.
“A COUPLE OF WEEKS?” Sam exploded, his laughter finally ringing out through the house as he fell back into the couch, holding his stomach. Nehemia glared at her brother and poked him in the stomach. It didn’t seem to matter as Sam sat up, still grinning. “And you call me a coward for not asking Asterin Havilliard out.”
“You are a coward for not asking Asterin Havilliard out,” Rowan shook his head, running a hand down his face. Nehemia nodded, offering her father a high five which he quickly returned. She was such a daddy’s girl.
“It’s true honey,” Aelin cut in, even as her son glared at her. “Dorian knows she likes you.”
“The world knows she likes him,” Nehemia said, exasperated. “Now get back to the story. Mom,” she turned to Aelin. “Did you know Dad was lying about having places to be?”
Aelin snorted, running her hand through the hair at the nape of Rowan’s neck which seemed to be even redder than it had been moments before. “Of course I did. His excuse was that he had to go to class. It was Sunday.”
It was Nehemia’s turn to crackle now and Rowan looked downright offended. It wasn’t often that his oldest daughter wasn’t on his side. Aelin leaned into Rowan’s shoulder, delight running through her body as he placed a chaste kiss on her temple.
“You’ll pay for this,” he mumbled into her hair.
Her eyes said it all. I’m looking forward to it, Buzzard.
“What happened? What happened?” Eliora’s voice dragged Aelin back to the present. She was sure her youngest had no idea what was going on at this point in the story, but Rowan continued nonetheless.
~~
It was three weeks before he saw her again. Three weeks of avoided group hangouts and staying in his dorm room during parties. Three weeks of taking a longer route than normal to all of his classes, and three weeks of wishing he could speak to the girl he couldn’t get out of his head.
Rowan was sitting at a picnic table in the middle of one of the university quads, textbook open and highlighter in hand. He hadn’t actually understood any bit of what he had read, but at least it looked like he was doing something. And it seemed to be working pretty well for his other problem.
“Fleetfoot, get back here!” Or not.
Rowan tried not to draw attention to himself as Aelin ran past his table, after the massive bundle of golden fur that was running away from her. He watched as she chased her dog around the quad, finally giving up as she layed on the ground, arms splayed wide. It wasn’t long before Fleetfoot was back and licking her face.
He felt Aelin’s laugh all the way to his heart.
~~
“Ten bucks says he grows a pair and asks her out.” Sam had long since abandoned his spot on the couch in favor of sitting on the ground to watch his father intently as he told the story. He had muttered the words to his sister, whose feet were right by his head. She too was looking at her father intently.
“Twenty says he keeps ignoring her until happenstance pushes them together.”
Rowan rolled his eyes at his children, even though the spark in his green eyes showed he was more than amused. “Your mother was right. It is impossible to finish a story in this house.”
“Gods,” Sam said, shaking his head. “I can’t believe my dad was such a pus-”
“Let’s see how fast I can ground you,” Rowan cut him off with a stern look to the child in his arms who seemed to be on the verge of sleep. Sam smiled sheepishly.
“My bad.”
“Will you shut up so he can finish the story?” Nehemia glared at her brother.
~~
“Alright,” Aedion slammed his hand down on Rowan’s helmet, sending a large clattering sound through his head. Rowan scowled at his best friend, shoving him away. “What the fuck is going on between you and my cousin?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Rowan turned back to his bag, shrugging off his helmet and shoving it into the massive pack before taking a sip of his water bottle, all while ignoring Aedion and those eyes that reminded him so much of the ones he truly wanted to see.
“Don’t bullshit me, Rowan,” Aedion snapped at him, forcing Rowan to face him. “The two of you have been skirting around each other for the past three weeks and Aelin won’t even come to parties with us anymore so what. Happened.”
Rowan stopped. Aelin hadn’t been going to parties? Had she been avoiding him as much as he had been avoiding her? He looked at his best friend and shrugged.
“We kissed. During spin the bottle.”
Aedion looked at him for what seemed like minutes before bursting into uncanny laughter.
“Damn,” he wheezed out. “That’s it? Well, it’s about time.”
“Excuse me?” Rowan growled, and Aedion stopped laughing.
“You know what I mean, man. It’s about time. All those years when you two would look at each other and glance away before the other noticed. Or when you defend each other when the
other isn’t there- yep, don’t think I didn’t notice that. I think we can all agree that it’s about time.”
Rowan shook his head, incredulous. Other people had noticed that?
“No, Aedion,” he sighed. “Aelin hates me. She wants nothing to do with me.” Aedion stared at him again before, shaking his head.
“Ro, man, you are such an idiot sometimes.”
“You know, Aedion. Saying cryptic shit and expecting other people to understand you doesn’t help anyone,” Rowan snapped, his patience thinning. Turning back to Aedion, he found his eyes glued on something behind him.
Rowan’s heart stopped. There was no way.
But sure enough, Rowan turned around to meet the gaze of a gaping Aelin Galathynius. She held a tennis ball in one hand and Fleetfoot circled the ground at her feet. Clearly, the dog had chased the ball into their field and her owner had eventually followed. At the worst timing imaginable.
“Aelin-” Rowan started, but she was already gone, whirling around and sprinting out of the stadium, the golden retriever at her heels. He didn’t think before following after her. “Aelin, wait!” he called after her, forcing his legs to go faster.
It turned out that Aelin Galathynius was quite fast when she wanted to be, and Rowan only caught up to her when she was standing in front of her dorm building. She didn’t need to turn around for Rowan to know she was fuming.
“Gods, what do you want, Rowan?” she glared at him, her voice ice. “Haven’t you already proven your point?” Rowan wanted to grab her and shake her.
“Proven my- what? Aelin I-”
“Look you made yourself very clear at the party, alright?” she snapped, turning away from him. But Rowan’s arm shot out, catching hers before she could leave and forcing her to look at him. “I get that Aedion can be nosy at times but you were so out of line, Whitethorn.”
The confused look on his face must have been painfully obvious. Aelin rolled her eyes. “Look, if it was just an act to shut Aedion up, I-”
Rowan kissed her.
This woman. This annoying, infuriating, intelligent, beautiful woman. She was absolutely astounding. And she thought he somehow hadn’t noticed that.
Rowan wanted to remember the feeling of her lips on his for the rest of his life. Wanted to bottle the sound of the small gasp she released before melting into the kiss. He wanted to mold their bodies together until there was no room left. Rowan wanted to feel her soft hair between his fingers and the feeling of her hands in his hair until the day he died. He never wanted to let her go.
This time when the two pulled back, Rowan kept her close to his body with an arm around her waist. Her arms were still around his neck and Aelin gazed at him through wide eyes. Before she could say anything, Rowan kissed her again, this time lingering. She kissed his smile with her own.
“It was never an act.”
~~
“Well it seems to me that Fleetfoot is the true heroine of the story,” Nehemia grinned, petting the head of her own puppy that sat at her feet next to Sam. “Without her, you two would never have met again. Oh, and I won, by the way Sammy. Pay up.”
“That’s my girl,” Rowan grinned, pride shone over his face at his daughter’s antics regardless of her win being at his expense. Sam practically growled as he handed his sister a twenty-dollar bill.
“Oh, don’t be sad, Sammy,” Aelin comforted her son, holding her arms out until he rolled his eyes and walked over to give her a hug. “Ask out Asterin and your kids won’t do the same thing to you,” she whispered, earning a dark red blush on her son’s cheeks.
She shared a knowing look with Rowan, unable to resist reaching up and kissing his lips once more. Rowan returned it in kind, grinning when she nipped playfully at his bottom lip.
“Boo!” Nehemia called from her spot on the couch as Sam yelled, “Get a room!”
Aelin turned to Rowan once more, unsurprised to see his gaze already on her. “Remind me why we keep them?” Rowan’s laugh rang out loud as he pulled Aelin close to his body. Her head landed on his shoulder and she sighed in content.
“Because we’re cute,” Nehemia supplied. “At least, one of us is.” She gazed at her little sister who had long since fallen asleep on her father’s lap.
It seemed that their entire reason for telling the story had fallen asleep long before her father had finished telling it. There was no doubt that Eliora wouldn’t remember any bit of the story when she woke up.
“She’s too young to understand the story yet,” Nehemia said, brushing back a piece of her little sister’s hair with astounding gentleness.
“So what do we tell her when she’s old enough?” Aelin asked, cherishing the kiss that Rowan placed on her head and unable to contain the insurmountable love in her heart as her kids responded.
“Oh, Mom’s version, for sure. It’s way better.”

Peter called you in the Middle of the Night to tell you that He's on his way to pick you up,You were already sitting on your couch in your pyjamas but you got up to change. It was almost normal for you to have these situations since Peter always tries to surprise you when you're least expecting it, You thought it was cute even if it was this Late. You put on some casual clothes and grabbed everything you needed(Like keys and your wallet) and made your way outside of your Apartment, to your surprise He was already standing in front of you.
“Hey,-” you wanted to ask him if he was okay since he was trying to catch his breath like he just ran a Marathon, but you guessed he Would Tell you anyways.
“So- I might Have been in a Fight and well i just thought about you and-,” you stopped him and smiled,
“Peter? Darling? Just tell me what happened slowly.” You said as your boyfriend gave you a smile back.
“So when I was fighting these Criminals, one of them asked me why I would risk my life and what my loved ones would say and it kinda got me thinking and-” He sighed before looking at you with his puppy eyes, You couldn't help it but to 'awwweee' at that sight.
“I want you to meet Tony, you mean the absolute world to me and i finally want to let my loved ones know eachother.” he said it with such a Calm voice that it made you realize that there was something more that he didn't want to say, but you've known him for years and you could tell that he was scared of something.
“Alright, You know i would do anything for you, Sweetheart.” His face lit up again as you placed a hand on his cheek, you gave him a Small kiss on the forehead before your boyfriend grabbed you around your waist and pulled you closer to him. He pulled out his phone and Called someone who you Understood was called 'Happy' and before you knew it just minutes after there was a car standing infront of your House, peter took your hand and Got into the car. It started to drive and you leaned your head against Peter's shoulder, still holding his hand tightly as he looked outside the window.
“We're here.” He softly said as the car stopped at a street, When you both got out you saw the Stark tower and to be complete honest it was intimidating but you would do everything for peter and well what's the worst that could happen ?
When you arrived with the elevator, you could smell Fresh Food in the air and hear faint sounds of someone Humming a song which you recognized as an AC/DC one. Peter led you into a Big Room that you were sure was the Living room, He didn't let go of your hand as you looked around.
“Tony? Dad?” He called out for the Genius, who happened to be around the corner when he turned his head towards you two. “Peter, hey didn't Knew you were coming.” he said softly as he walked towards you and stopped infront of you, he eyed you up and down before holding out his hand while smiling. “You must be Y/N right? Peter always talks about you, sometimes it's all he talks about. nice to finally meet the Person that makes my Son so happy.” He said the first part with abit of annoyance in his voice before softening again and looking over to Peter who's face was flushing red at the last part. “It's also an Honour to meet You, Mr. Stark.” you said sweetly as you gave peter's hand a soft squish to make him look at you, you couldn't resist but to Smile when you looked at the Bright red face of your Sweet Boyfriend.
“Do you want to eat something? I've ordered in some Really Delicious food! You're going to love it.” He said as he led you two towards a table full with Different food and also many of your favorites. “Wow, it looks amazing!” peter exclaimed as he slowly let go of your Hand to sit down, but before he did so he pulled your chair out and made sure that you sat comfortably.
“Sweetheart, are you coming?” Tony called out before a Beautiful blonde woman entered the Room with a very nice jumpsuit on. (Looks like a dress but actually is a Top and some Pants) She walked towards you and gave you a big And soft Hug before introducing herself, “Nice to finally Meet you, I'm pepper.” she gave you a Big smile before Tony mentioned; “And also Mrs. Stark, my Incredible wife.” She gave him a little eye roll before she seated herself next to him, You all shared a lot of Laughs talking about Peter's clumsiness and Pepper telling you about The story how they met eachother and all in all it was a Great dinner.
After all of you finished eating, it was time. Peter couldn't wait any longer and just wanted to finally ask you, He took your hand and smiled, “I want to show you something.” He walked with you outside onto the Balcony, the view was Fantastic and the moment was just right.
“Y/N, we've been through so much in these last Two years. You were there for me when my Aunt died, you helped through my Darkest times and never questioned when I came to your house with bruises and Cuts. All you ever did was give me your love and Time and i really Wish I could repay you for how much you gave me and-” He stopped to look at you, You stood infront of him with teary eyes and a soft smile that made him feel easy again. He took your hands and looked deep into your eyes, not letting go of your hands. “I wanted to ask you this for so long and I just can't wait any longer, you mean the world to me and i can't imagine what my life would look like without you, my Darling.” He let one of your hands go as he kneeled down and pulled a little box out of his Pocket.
You were shaking, You couldn't think straight it was like all your emotions over ran you at once. You loved peter more then anything and you knew what was about to happen, it was like time had stopped when you saw him kneeling down.
“Y/N L/N, will you Marry Me?” He looked at you with his Puppy dog eyes that were filled with Tears, You started to cry as you got on your knee's and hugged him tightly.
“Yes! I do.” you said while pulling away to look into his eyes, when he heard your answer the tears ran down his face. He couldn't be happier then right now in this moment, all the worries he had before Vanished in that moment. He pulled you into a Hug once more before he opened the little box and Put the ring on your finger, You placed your hands on the sides of his face and kissed him. You two shared a Soft and Long kiss before you both parted, what you didn't realize before Was that There was Clapping coming from the Inside. Tony and pepper watched you two the whole time and gave you Proud looks, When you both stood up they walked over to you and hugged you. “I'm so happy for you two.” Pepper said as she let go of you, Tony hold out his hand before laughing and Hugging you tightly. “Welcome to the Stark Family, Y/N.”
After Peter Brought you back Home again, you two sat on your stairs just Letting the day slowly Pass by. “I didn't sleep for days because I was so worried that i would Mess this up. I'm so happy to finally be with you and Make my own little Family.” he said it softly as he looked at you with a Adorable dorky smile “From now on, you'll get enough sleep! I should be really mad at you for that but Gosh, you make me so Happy.” you said as you leaned your head against his Shoulder , letting out a soft sigh. “Idiot.” “Well, I'm your Idiot.” he said as he kissed your Hand on which your ring was, He looked back at the night sky and sighed peacefully. “You should go back, your dad might get worried.” “Hmm, i rather stay with my Incredible Partner.” He said Softly before he lift you up bridal style and carried you inside of your Home.

Tues 30 March ‘21
Happy Tuesday! And to make it a happier tuesday, here’s Louis bursting on the scene to spread some cheer: “every day is a day closer to the first show back!” And that’s just the beginning! Someone asks if he has thought about making a documentary-- “already on it love” he replied. Listen yes, we knew that was what he and Charlie Lightening were up to BUT STILL- OMG!!! SOOO cool. Some people are not so sure but me, I think it’ll be awesome- cannot wait! Trust in Louis yall. And just to prove he’s a man you can trust he reacts in the ONLY correct way to react a dog modeling Walls merch-- “haha love that.” It’s wearing a bucket hat!! The Clifford picture we deserve tbh but for now this is excellent. He also said “got a decent chorus idea down” about what he’s been up to and doubled down on his most hotly debated tweet of recent times, 369. “Explain pls” begged a fan; “369” said Louis again, faaaanks for that love. That’s our guy, always forthcoming about his tattoos! Hahaha. AND THEN he responds to a tweet about how we always read too much into things but that he also trolls us with mystery posts: “fair comment”. WOW. He is truly a little shit and that is that on that! The man we love to hate ladies and theydies! And more on the louie topic of the moment people actually kind of hate, the NFTs. He’s asked about his recent follows and says, “some cool nft companies. I've been trying to educate myself in everything that already exists in that space.”
This year is gucci’s 100th anniversary I guess, and they are marking it by making a push to sell handbags, which means new pictures of Harry with a purses! Or so one can assume, the preview image we’ve seen so far is just his scruffy face, a lot of fluffy fur (on his Macklemore looking coat I mean but there is a lot of Harry hair on display too), and his dick necklace peeping out of the lapel of his shirt, looking extra obscene tbh cause the banana part is covered up so it’s just little unsolicited dick pic hiding in Harry’s chest hair, good lord. Yes yes we know babe you love gucci and dick and your gucci dick banana… anyway, the campaign drops April 22. It’s shot by Harmony Korine, who is a filmmaker, and a set director posted about working on a gucci commercial featuring Harry and Dakota Johnson back in Jan in LA so it seems safe to say there will be moving images to come. And speaking of Harry and filming, Heidi Gardner talked about doing SNL with Harry and told a story about him being reluctant to touch her shoulders for their sketch until she brought it up, and then him saying he was waiting for an explicit invitation to touch her. Aw, that’s our Harry; thoughtful and anxious. I feel like he works so hard to model the behavior he wants people to use towards him like, ‘people please I am begging can you please just be NICE and be respectful and stop grabbing me’, or maybe it’s just that he really understands firsthand how awful it feels to have your boundaries violated- either way I would love to manifest the same respect for him.
Ingrid Michaelson did a patreon live and talked about To Begin Again and how great having Zayn on the track has been; “Zayn's fans are intense. Very sweet. Aggressively supportive I think is the right word.” AHAHAHAHA YES ‘aggressively supportive’ might be the most perfect term anyone has ever coined for any subset of 1D fans so once again, HATS OFF to Ingrid the poet for a winning turn of phrase that I will certainly be using for a long time to come! She also said that the music video will be out in early April (and that it’s “a proper music video. It's not like your standard two people in a studio singing blah blah. It's different.”) Oh yeah and also that… Zayn and Gigi are married??! She said, “We’ve never met, I’ve never spoken to him. Zayn doesn’t do stuff he doesn’t wanna do and the fact that he did this song is very flattering. He’s such a private person and now he’s married and has a child so he does the things he wants to do…” prompting mass chaos in the zquad, but she later confirmed that she had just misspoken/ made an assumption based on their cohabiting and having a child together. And speaking of twitter leaping at the chance to go bananas over nothing, thousands flipped out because Lottie posted her gift bag from the Brits like “this means Louis is nominated for a Brit”!!! Lol WHAT? She got it cause she’s an influencer, but more to the point how does the SISTER of the nominee getting a gift bag make sense in any universe, you think they’re just looking up peoples’ family trees and everyone’s aunt gets a present like… WHAT??? Oh and also that they’re spilling the beans via gift bags before the big reveal… everything about that is ridiculous. Again, I’m sorry to say that I will be very surprised if Louis gets a nom but either way, we’ll find out tomorrow and not before.
And! You can bid now on a giant orange football jersey signed by Liam (or just look at the cute pic of him holding it)! It’s a benefit for the Wolves Foundation (a network of foodbanks in Liam’s hometown Wolverhampton, it’s unrelated to the criminally underrated 1D song alas). I hear it calling for you…
And finally, tune in tomorrow for Harry as Starfox rumors pt 369, this time For Real (only hmm nope probably not)
#Louis tomlinson#harry styles#liam payne#zayn#so I have to admit that even in the time since yesterday I’ve looked at the NFT stuff more and am a little more interested#some of what other bands are using them for is cool and I can see why it’s the sort of stuff that makes sense with louis’ fanbase#exclusive special perks that play out over the long term and stuff#the main thing that I find super annoying about them is using the gimmicky platform to add a lot of invented value#to something that on its own isn’t worth much#but Louis wouldn’t do that. it’s true he has done a few merch items that were inaccessible… so it isn’t impossible…#but he always also has accessible stuff and I feel like that’s pretty rare#(ALTHOUGH shoutout to the HOOPS I had to go through to get that JHO vinyl without bankrupting myself FUCKING HELL)#but here’s the thing- the stuff that I see that seems like he could do and have it be cool#I REALLY don’t see how it would need to be an NFT and not just a special offer like I just do not understand how that’s a necessary part of#the picture#so that’s where it just feels like a stupid gimmick to me. but I guess we’ll see (or I’ll gain a better understanding about the whole thing#I do admit… it’s currently a bit shaky)#also lol @ the NFT blog that followed me yesterday I’m assuming that’s a bot and an error#and me aside: I see everyone inthe tags being like UGH NO <3#he's gonna have an uphill battle with this one I think to win over the hearts and minds to the platform#30 mar 21#when I saw people were flipping about lottie's post I thought it was cause she circled a blue and green part of the pic#and I thought I was doing a pretty great job of tapping into the twarrie mind#but I truly cannot even follow where these things actually go I would NEVER have thought of that

Chapter Seventeen
As you stood outside gate C14, you tightened your grip on Sunny’s leash. With a wagging tail and shining eyes, she pulled in every direction, determined to greet every passing traveler.
“Hey,” you whispered, “I know you’re excited but be good before they kick us both out.” You weren’t exactly sure if she was supposed to be there but sometimes it was better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission. She made a displeased whining noise as she sat down next to you. “Don’t you want to see Javi?” Her ears perked up at the familiar name. “I thought so.”
You glanced back at the gate through the crowd of people. There was still no sign of any disembarking passengers. You took a deep breath and tamped down your own excitement, deciding to crouch down next to Sunny and pet her rather than stare at the empty gate. Your affectionate touch calmed the both of you.
So when she yipped again, you knew exactly why.
Glancing up, you found Javier scanning the crowd and his eyes were drawn to Sunny’s bark. A grin broke out on his face that certainly matched yours.
The two of you met somewhere in the middle. You don’t even remember making the conscious decision to move toward him. It was just instinctual. Like the way you threw your arms around Javier’s neck and his wound around your waist as your lips met in one long deep kiss that left you weak in the knees. You leaned into him, knowing he’d keep you steady, and savored the way he hummed in pleasure against your lips.
“Hi,” Javier breathed as he rested his forehead against yours. You traced the curve of his smile with the pad of your thumb as you cupped his cheek. It was one of those perfect ones that crinkled the corners of his eyes and left him looking years younger. And so damn happy.
“Hi,” you echoed, unsure if you could find another word in that moment. But maybe you didn’t need to say anything else. It was enough just to feel his arms around you again.
“I missed this,” he murmured. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too, Javi.” Your eyes fell as you took him in. Long-sleeved plaid shirt tucked into his well-fitting dark wash jeans and paired with his signature boots. You ran your hands over the soft material covering his chest. “You didn’t have to come back,” you whispered.
“I wanted to.”
“What about your dad?”
“He has plenty of family to spend the night with. He was fine with me leaving early.”
“You’re sure?”
“Yeah,” he answered, rolling his eyes. “When he found out you were spending New Year’s Eve alone, he smacked me upside the head and told me to get on the next plane to LA.” You made a surprised noise that quickly turned into giggles. “Don’t laugh at that. That’s not funny,” he said with a smile of his own.
You laced your fingers with his and kissed the back of his hand, trying to hide your grin. “It is, actually.” Your smile fell. “Still, you didn’t have to come back just for me.”
“Yes, I did. I wouldn’t have been happy knowing you were alone. I’m right where I want to be.” His grin widened and you felt a quiet laugh in his chest. “I don’t think you were the only one who missed me.” You followed his eyes to find Sunny, tongue out and tail wagging, with two paws on Javier’s hip as she vied for his attention. He let go of you only to kneel down to greet her. “Si, si, te extrañé,” he shushed as he tried to calm the excited dog. Your heart soared as he planted a kiss on the top of her head.
“Should we stop by baggage claim?” you asked.
“Nope.” He stood and swung a worn leather duffle over his shoulder. “Let’s go home.”
You tried not to read much into his turn of phrase as he slung an arm around your shoulders and guided you out of the busy terminal. “So,” you decided to prod as you waited at the crosswalk leading to the parking garage, “you told your dad about me?”
“Well, he figured it out.” He continued only at your confused expression. “He said I was happy.”
You kissed him. “I’m happy too,” you said, slipping a hand in his back pocket and squeezing his ass through his denim jeans. That earned you a wolfish grin that brought out that lone dimple just for you.
… . …
“It looks like 1985 in here,” you commented as soon as Javier could even set his duffle and your overpacked tote on the kitchen counter and flick on the lights. “Well, at least the parts you’ve unboxed.”
“Didn’t want to get too settled.” You peered over your shoulder at him with a bit of a scowl. All he could offer in response was a shrug as he slid your coat off your shoulders and hung it next to his. “I didn’t know if I would last the first week of classes let alone the first month.”
“You absolutely did. You survived the whole fall quarter.”
“Only because of you.”
Two fingers gripped his chin and turned his face toward yours. Your eyes locked onto his. “You’ve got to start giving yourself some credit, Javier. You’re a damn good professor. Whether you like it or not.”
“Wouldn’t you rather inspect what I have decorated?” he asked, placing two hands on your hips and spinning you around. “I know you’re dying to.”
“Maybe a little,” you admitted with a light laugh. With a firm hand on the small of your back as he pushed you further into the apartment. “Bedroom and bathroom are that way,” he said, pointing down the dark hall.
You gestured to the closed door on the opposite side of the living room. “What’s that room?”
“Empty spare bedroom.”
“God, I hate you. You have a gorgeous two-bedroom apartment in Brentwood, and you don’t even appreciate it. An empty room, boxes still unopened. Why don’t we ever come here? Your place is so much better than mine.”
“It’s fucking depressing,” he scoffed.
“I could help you make it feel like home.” You meant that innocently. He could hear it in your tone. You were probably only referring to adding a few throw pillows or candles or something like that, but already just having you there felt different. He’d thought he was going back home to Texas, but the truth was he felt more at home now just by being with you. “Yeah, I think you could.” You might’ve responded, but something caught your attention.
Almost reverently, you picked up a framed photograph off the lone bookshelf in his living room. “Your mother?” you asked quietly. He didn’t have to look at the photo to know which one you were drawn to.
“Yes,” he answered as he moved to stand behind you. Wrapping his arms around your shoulders, he pulled you back against his chest so he could peer down at the black and white photo in your hands. He was maybe five. Just a gangly boy with limbs too long for his own good and a cast on one arm from when he’d fallen off his new bike. That younger version of him sat his mother’s lap in front of a birthday cake lit with thirty-some odd candles. Much like the way he held you in that moment, his father stood behind the pair with his arms around his wife. She wore a dazzling smile that his aunts swore he inherited from her. If he remembered correctly, his father was behind the camera, muttering something that made them all laugh at the time.
“She was beautiful,” you commented. Lost for words, Javier pressed a kiss to your temple. But the mood clearly shifted. “And you were adorable.” Your eyes narrowed as you looked back at him. “What do you think happened?”
Javier grinned at your dig. “She would’ve liked you.”
You reached for the only other framed photograph. A more recent shot of Javier and an equally mustachioed blond man sitting together at an open-air bar, both looking unusually relaxed and happy with a beer in one and their arms around each other’s shoulders. One of the rare moments like that in Colombia. “This must be Steve,” you observed.
“His wife sent me that as a housewarming gift.”
“That’s so nice of her. You need something to cheer this place up.” Still clutching the photo, you turned in his arms. “Do you– I don’t know if I’ll ever get to meet them, but do you think they would like me?”
He almost laughed at your question. It was genuine on your part but so absurdly unnecessary. “Mi compañera,” he murmured as he pressed his lips to yours, “they already do. They were surprised though.”
“Do I want to know why?” you smirked. He had a feeling you already had some inclination as to why that might’ve surprised his closest friends.
“No,” Javier laughed. He watched you as you smiled at the photo, tracing a fingertip along the image of him. A strange feeling gripped his chest. It was as if you were trying to know that version of him. “You never talk about it. I know you don’t like when others ask you about your time in Colombia, but you never even mention anything that happened down there to me.”
“You don’t want to know about any of that.”
“Why not?”
Because you won’t like me, his traitorous brain supplied. He let you go and joined Sunny on the couch. “Want me to put on the Times Square thing?” he asked instead.
“Yeah sure. I don’t mind either way,” you responded lightly. He cringed inwardly at how habituated you were to him deflecting your questions. Shaking his head at himself, he dug the remote out from between two of the leather couch cushions and switched on the television despite having no intention to watch.
A moment later you joined him on the couch, dropping down next to him unceremoniously as you draped an arm around him. “Don’t mope,” you compelled with a kiss on his cheek. He turned to you with a raised brow. “And don’t look at me like that.”
Javier held your gaze for a long time, entranced by the soft look in your eyes and the way your fingers played with the ends of his hair at the nape of his neck. That seemed to bring him back to the present moment. “How does pizza sound?” he asked instead of a reply.
As expected, you smiled and nodded happily.
… . …
Much like your own at home, Javier’s kitchen table was covered with stacks of books, papers, and folders. Rather than clearing it off, the two of you sat on the floor around his coffee table eating pizza slices straight from the box. With the television muted in the background, you talked quietly, mostly recounting the little things that had happened while you were apart. You asked him more questions about his family, and he seemed keen to answer. You’d learned to savor every bit of himself that he elected to share with you.
After dinner, you wandered over to the unsurprisingly well-stocked bar cart, fingers dancing over the crystal glasses and bottles of whiskey and tequila as you contemplated pouring a couple of drinks. Until you noticed something amongst the mess on his kitchen table.
You picked up a book with dozens of sticky notes peeking out of it and flipped through the pages.
Talk about this in lecture.
Assign this chapter next quarter.
Fuck. She’s brilliant.
The notes went on for pages and pages. When you finally lifted your head, finding him across the room through watery eyes, Javier looked like a boy caught red handed. His wide brown eyes locked on to you as he gauged your reaction. “You’re reading my book?” you asked, voice barely more than a whisper.
He nodded quietly. “I finished it. It’s amazing.”
“Ja– Javi.” You attempted to speak but his name was just a broken sob.
He was on his feet in an instant. With a hand on either arm, he attempted to soothe you. “Don’t cry.”
“I’m not crying,” you insisted as you roughly wiped at your cheek with the back of your hand.
“Honey,” he chided as he pulled your hand away and replaced it with his own, cupping your cheek and wiping your errant tears with his thumb. “Why does that upset you?”
“I’m not upset.”
“You’re crying.” He would think that. He’d never seen you cry before. You’d cried from laughing at something he’d said on more than one occasion. There were a few tears once when you were frustrated. But nothing like this.
“That– that doesn’t mean I’m upset. It’s just– That’s–” you tried to collect yourself as you fisted the front of his shirt with one hand and pulled him closer. You took a deep breath and met his gaze. “That’s the most romantic thing anyone’s ever done for me.”
The scrunched up look on his face was almost comical, and you would’ve laughed any other time. “That is?” he asked, dumbfounded. Before he could say anything else, you slotted your mouth with his, kissing him with everything you had. “Of course I read your book,” he assured you, kissing you over and over again. Your body practically melted against his. “You’re fucking amazing, mi compañera” His hands moved to your face, wiping away the tears. “Are you sure you’re okay? You’re... you’re crying again. What’s wrong?”
“I think I–” You stopped yourself. Or rather the words threatened to choke you, so you swallowed them down and hid them away. Instead, you caressed his face as you looked at him through half-lidded eyes. “I need you.”
Javier hesitated, watching you for a moment longer, eyes smoldering as they bored into your soul, before his mouth met yours with renewed determination.
You didn’t even bother looking around Javier’s bedroom as the two of you burst through the door. The two of you were a mess of limbs desperately trying to strip the other of their clothes. He walked you back toward the bed until your calves hit the frame.
“Why are you still holding this?” he asked, prying the book out of your hand and tossing it on his nightstand. He lifted your thick knit sweater off your body and over your head with ease and his hands quickly found the button of your black denim jeans while you worked on his shirt buttons.
As soon as your clothes had fallen aside, he laid you back in his bed, letting you rest against the pillows as he eagerly kissed a frenzied path down your body.
“Javi, wait.” He froze above you with concern in his eyes “Please be gentle with me,” you asked softly.
The implication was clear. And it weighed heavily between you.
Javier nodded once, almost imperceptibly, and you relinquished yourself to him. He changed course, and his lips found yours once more. While he kissed you, his fingers gently prodded you, stretching you out and readying your body for him. You whimpered against hip lips, wanting more than anything to feel him inside you.
“Shh, baby,” he shushed you huskily, intertwining your fingers in a tender gesture, “I’ve got you now.” You spread your legs wider, aching for him. Only him. And mercifully, he lined himself at your entrance, dripping with your desire, and slowly thrust forward, filling you to the hilt and stealing the air from your lungs.
As he moved inside you, every kiss, every touch seared your skin with invisible brands that would mark you forever as belonging to Javier. And you let him.
Neither of you said much of anything, preferring to simply breath each other in. You let the moans and mewls falling from your lips fill the room as your bodies rejoined and relearned each other. Hand in hand and warm skin on warm skin.
Until a wave of euphoria pulled you asunder and you came hard and shaking beneath him.
“You’re so beautiful. So fucking beautiful.” You only heard his murmurs of praise as you broke the surface and came up for air. He kissed away the teardrops streaking your cheeks. You tried weakly to apologize for crying again. “It’s okay,” he assured you, “I feel it too.”
You gaped at him as you watched him move above you, still buried deep inside you, chest heaving and some unspoken emotion drowning his eyes. You wanted him to feel everything that you did in that moment. Wanted to make him to feel the same sticky sweet pleasure
With little resistance, you pushed Javier onto his back and straddled his hips. He looked divine beneath you. His hands reverently caressed your back as you settled on top of him before snaking around your body to hold you tightly against him. You pressed your forehead to his as you rolled your hips, sliding up and down his cock and coating him with your creamy pussy.
Only when his chest hallowed with a broken, desperate groan did you finally take pity and sink down on him. You caught his sharp exhale with your lips. You focused on kissing him, pouring all your affection into him, and he slowly rocked up into you. It was unrushed and unhurried, as if the two of you had all the time in the world. Maybe you did.
“I need you to cum with me. Right now.” His fingers found your clit, coaxing a second climax from you.
“Let go for me,” you whispered against his ear.
Javier shattered beautifully under your touch.
… . …
Javier pulled back the bedsheets for you as you slipped back into bed next to him after spending way too long in a steaming hot shower together. “Did you bring these for me?” he asked, fingering the fabric of your satin sleep shorts with a lopsided grin. Dozens of little embroidered dogs dotted the fabric.
“Yes,” you chirped. “They always seem to make you smile.”
He shook his head at you. “No, honey, you make me smile.”
When he said things like that, he took the breath right out of your lungs. The rest of the world faded away and nothing else mattered. It was only the two. It was then that you noticed the time on the clock behind him. Time hadn’t stopped after all. In fact, it was 12:01 on the dot.
“Happy New Year, Javi,” you said with a smile. “I think this is going to be a really good year.”
“I do too,” he agreed. He cupped your cheek and guided your lips to his for a midnight kiss. “Happy New Year, baby. Now c’mere.”
You laughed as Sunny responded to his command. She seemed to appear from nowhere only to hop up on the bed and lay half on top of him with her head on his chest. “Yeah, you too,” he smiled, scratching behind her ears. You indulged for a moment, hoping you could commit the scene to memory. But Javier looked like he was on the verge of sleep, so you switched off the small lamp and happily curled up next to him. He draped an arm across your waist as you looked up at him. “I fucking missed my girls,” he mumbled before drifting off into a dream. You couldn’t help but smile to yourself as you watched him in the faint moonlight.
You weren’t sure if it was the holiday season or that magical stroke of midnight, but as you gazed up at him, you realized you didn’t just want Javier to be your yesterday, today or tomorrow. You wanted him to be your whole future. You wanted to spend your whole life with him because…
Your heart belonged to Javier Peña. You loved him. Truly, deeply loved him.
That thought didn’t scare you as much as you thought it would.

I can’t, I’m so sorry
(David x Female!Reader)

Word count: 3.8k
DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO ANY OF THE ABOVE WARNINGS
“I like to pretend that you ran away, that you’re living on an island and have a garden and a dog and that your brothers drop by to bring you groceries and books and that you are very happy and free.” - S.C. Pacheco
It happened so quickly. No one saw it coming, but then again, does anyone ever really see death coming?
You were preparing for finals. It was the last two weeks of your first year at college and you had been studying non stop. You were going to end this year with a bang and have a great extended summer without worry in your head.
Then, the phone call happened. It was so unexpected. Dad called and asked if you were alone. Thankfully, your psychology class was on a five minute break and you were out in the hallway. Dad immediately said that he didn’t know how to break it to you gently so he was just going to say it. Following his statement, he told you how your great grandmother had a stroke and she had about a day to a month to live. The hallway stood still and the chatter of classrooms ceased into nothing.
Tears had welled up in your eyes and began to flow down your face. Nothing stopped them as your dad kept telling you about everything that happened. Your grandparents, uncles, aunts, and even your mom went to the hospital to see her. It was a two hour drive. Your dad had said that your mother was going to bring you home when all of your classes were done, for the day, so you could be in an area of comfort. The only reason he said that was because the history of your mental health wasn't the best at all. The previous two weeks were spent being in bed because the stress of school began to weigh heavily in your chest.
The weight in your chest had lessened over the past few days but the news of your great grandmother brought it back. Your face was red as the tears kept flowing from your eyes. Dad said he loved you before letting you hang up. Your whimpers and scattered breathing echoed in the hallway. Hot tears dripped from your chin and onto your sweater as you ran into the bathroom. Thankfully it was empty and you were able to let out your cries. The yellow lights flickered as you fell to your knees. She was your only great grandmother and she loved you greatly. Everyone told you that you were special because you were her eldest great granddaughter. The passing quote in your head practically made you scream out in confusion and upset.
Many minutes passed before your psychology teacher burst into the bathroom. She found you on the floor, face wet with tears. Immediately she came to your side and began shushing you while wrapping her arms around you. The only words you could cry out were “She’s dying and I’m not there.” After that, the day fuzzed into nothing. Your close friend had to come and get you for your other classes. She told your teachers how you were leaving early in the week because your great grandmother was dying. Thankfully, your teachers understood and gave you extensions on every assignment that was late.
Later in the evening, your mother came to get you. The car ride was very quiet and so was the weekend. It was spent with you occasionally crying while listening to your family plan her funeral. It was also spent with you remembering your childhood in her house.
The smells and sounds lingered in your mind constantly. Sometimes you’d hear the ghost of her grandfather clock when you couldn’t sleep.
Sadly, you couldn’t sleep most days. A week came and went and you were in the start of your finals week. It was three days filled with exams. Tuesday was the first day of exams. Thankfully, there was only one exam. When class was over, your teacher asked to speak with you. She gave you an enormous hug and told you that you passed her class. With tears forming in your eyes she told you that your great grandmother would be very proud. After that, she wished you the best in life and you went back to your dorm with your close friend.
As if on cue, your phone rang. When you picked it up you immediately could tell it was your dad. He told you that your great grandmother passed in her sleep early that morning. You knew this news was coming but no amount of preparation could prepare you to hear that. Tears fell from your eyes as he told you to get through the next few days before moving out and coming home. You both said, “I love you.” before hanging up.
Later that night, you cried until the sun gently arose over the tall evergreen trees. The next few days were spent in a daze. Your friends comforted you and told you that they’d always be there for you as you cried and wanted to go home. You took your exams and packed up your room and left the college. You were so happy to leave with your mother and go home for the summer. However, the shadow of grief clung to your skirt the entire time, even as the evening turned into night and then stretched into morning.
With sad eyes, you had looked into the mirror as you applied your makeup and got dressed for her funeral. The dress you wore was long sleeved and it just about touched the ground. You sighed. It was going to be a long drive through the flat farmland to get to the town of your childhood. When your family got to the old cemetery, your father told you that it was a beautiful day for her to be laid to rest.
And it was. It really was. The sun was shining, there were no clouds, and the gentle breeze turned your warm tears cold. Birds and butterflies fluttered around the graves and danced with each other. Even as the priest recited the carefully picked words, you thought of how it was a beautiful day. When he was done speaking, your mother held you as you cried. She let go when she began to cry uncontrollably. Your younger cousins came to your side and wept with you as you walked amongst your sleeping ancestors and extended family.
At the end of the funeral, you tearfully kissed her headstone goodbye and whispered to your great grandfather that you know they're happy now, laying side by side. When you got into the car to go back to Santa Carla, you cried until you dozed off under the warm afternoon sun.
Before you had left for the whole ordeal, you called David and told him about everything that had happened. He knew that your great grandmother had a stroke and that your whole family was stricken with grief. He also knew that you had never experienced grief or the process of mourning. So, he made a promise that when you came back he would stay by your side. You gave a huff into the payphone as he told you that he would do anything to ease the process. Before hanging up, you asked if it would be okay if you could stay at the cave for a couple of days. He told you yes and that he loved you before hanging up.
When your family finally got back to the house, you immediately fled to your room. Your parents didn’t want to bother you so they left you alone. They didn’t know that you were going to spend a few days at the cave. Infact, they didn’t know you were dating David. Your parents just thought he was a college friend.
Grabbing a bag, you began shoving clothes into it. You grabbed a few necessities and put those in there as well. When you figured you had everything, you heard David's bike outside. However, before you left, you noticed your great grandmother's ring on your dresser. It was given to you on your sixteenth birthday. It was an heirloom that was passed down from your great grandmother. When she first saw you wearing it, she had complimented how you reminded her of her younger self. While looking at the ring, your hand flew to the pearl choker that was resting around your neck. They were hers as well.
You grabbed the ring and slipped it on your ring finger before leaving. Your parents must’ve gone to bed because the house was dark and their bedroom door was shut. In the kitchen, you pulled out a notepad and wrote down that you were going to be with friends for a few days.
You left your house and noticed David was at the end of your driveway. He had a cigarette in his mouth and he was looking at your neighbors house.
“David.” you called gently. His head whipped towards you and a smirk appeared on his lips. His fingers came up and took the cigarette from his lips. When you walked to him, he gently pulled you close and gave you a quick kiss. When you pulled away, his hand came up to your cheek. You looked up at him in the moonlight and could see that his face was laced with concern as his eyes studied your face.
“Hop on kitten, let’s go to the cave.” he said, as his hand fell from your face. You got on behind him and when you wrapped your arms around him he began to drive through the night. Usually, you would be happy and laughing with David as he drove erratically to get you excited. He loved hearing you shout as he would go over hills but tonight was quiet. Of course he knew why. You were grieving and he wasn’t expecting you to do any of that. When you asked to stay at the cave, he was honestly surprised.
However, part of you felt like you needed to shout and laugh. You had mentally prepared for her death for a week and now it was hours after the funeral. Part of you begged to be left alone with your ever changing mind and the other part wanted to be with David in his arms as you two laughed and talked trash about the people of Santa Carla.
Instead, your face was resting against his back as he drove to the cave. The night was clear and the moon was bright. In the serenity of the night you closed your eyes. Your eyes were irritated at how much you had been crying and you hoped that tonight David wouldn’t see you cry. He had never seen you cry and you wanted to keep it that way. You always stayed happy and energetic around him. Sometimes you could hear David whisper that he loved your spark when he thought you were asleep. He didn’t know that your great grandmother repeated the same thing many years ago.
You sighed as you felt David’s bike slow to a stop. Opening your eyes, you saw that the both of you were at one of the entrances to the cave. He parked his bike next to the three others and turned it off. Carefully, you unwrapped your arms from him as he got off. As you got off, David offered his hand and you took it. When you stood next to him, hand in hand, he kissed your forehead. You smiled at the affection and he led you down into the cave.
“I know you won’t mind but, me and the guys are going to go feed when you get inside. I’ll change my clothes before coming back” David said, as he led you through the tunnel. You hummed and looked ahead at the gentle glowing light ahead. In the main area of the cave you could hear the noises of the other boys. David’s grip on your hand tightened as you came to the steep slope that led to the main area. The first time he brought you here, you slipped going down. You smiled at the cherished memory as you carefully walked down. Thankfully, this time you made it to the bottom.
“Hey David, hey Scoob” Marko said, looking up as you and David walked into the main area of the cave. You scoffed as David let go of your hand.
“How many times do I have to tell you to not call me that?” you asked, as David walked over towards the others. Marko gave you a teasing smile as Paul came from god knows where. Dwayne followed after him and the two joined the others.
“Anyways, I think you guys should get a move on. I can tell you’re antsy.” you said. David was breathing a bit more heavily than usual and you knew that was his body telling him to eat. Without word, the boys turned and walked away to one of the many exits. As the others ascended into the night, David turned to look at you. It was his way of saying goodbye but you also knew he was asking a question.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.” you said, grabbing your bag. Without speaking, he too turned away and followed the others.
You sighed as you watched him leave. It wasn’t your first time alone in the cave. Sometimes, they would go out and feed while you slept and you’d wake up in an empty nest. But, right now, you needed to be alone to just breathe. So, you went down one of the hallways to your little sanctuary. Months ago, you found a little safe haven in the depths of the cave. It was your little room and it was filled with things you found and liked. As you walked down the dim path, you could see the curtains in the doorway. Carefully, when you stood in front of them, you pushed them aside and stepped into the little safe haven. It was dark, but thankfully you had candles in different places around the room. Setting your stuff down on the bed, you grabbed your lighter from your dress pocket. You carefully lit the candles and adjusted them to keep from scorching other objects.
When you were finished you plopped down onto the mattress that was covered in blankets and pillows. You didn’t know how long it had been since you last slept. The nights were spent with you crying until you couldn’t but by morning, you were ready to repeat the whole cycle.
It sucked. Grief wasn’t supposed to be like this. Many people told you that after a few days, everything would go back to normal. Well, you wanted the feeling to go away immediately. You hated this neverending feeling of sadness. It was like a child clinging to their mother’s skirt.
One of the worst parts of it all was the day going through your head. You couldn’t stop thinking about her funeral. Was this normal? To constantly think of the funeral? Was it also normal to cry so much? You just couldn’t understand the whole grief process at all.
Gently, you got up from the mattress and walked over to the old mirror that David found for you. The candles in the room gave your features a warm glow in the mirror. You looked at your face and how it changed. You looked different. The shadows under your eyes had darkened and your eyes looked irritated. Glancing down to the pearl choker, you felt your throat tighten. The words of the past week began to echo loudly in your head.
She wouldn’t want you to fuss over her.
Even the brightest stars have to dim.
She loved you. She loved you greatly.
Then the tears came. They came so fast that you were honestly scared by them. They fell down your face as a sob escaped your mouth.
It wasn’t fair. None of it was. The pain in your body felt amplified as you sank to the floor. The worst part of it all was you couldn’t stop thinking of her. The way she kissed your cheeks when she saw you and when you left. The way her hands gently ran through your hair as you slept in her lap as a child. How she would sneakily give you chocolates after Christmas dinner and not tell anyone. Her mischievous smile flashed in your mind and it only made you cry harder. Why, why, why? Why did she have to die?
______
From the entrance of the cave, David stood still. Your sadness had reverberated through the cave like a loud radio. He couldn’t hear you but he felt the grief. Slowly, he walked to your room. He had forgotten how grief felt. It was a horrible feeling that he never wanted to experience again. However, he wanted to comfort you the best he could. As he got closer to your room, he could hear you. He heard the rapid beating of your heart as you let your emotions out. When he stood in front of the curtain, he hesitated. Would you want him in there?
David brushed the thought aside as he remembered that it was your first time with grief. He could practically smell the confusion and anger from your tears. Quickly, he opened the curtains and stepped into your room. On the farthest side of the room, you were leaning against the wall as you were trying to catch your breath. Your face was red and wet with tears. The eyeliner you wore was smudged around your eyes and David could see where it had trailed.
When you had calmed down just a little, David cleared his throat. Immediately, you turned around and met his still face. He held no emotion as he looked at your tragic form.
“Get out.” you said, quickly wiping your face. David did not move from his spot. Instead, he walked towards you.
“David, get out! I don’t want you to see me like this!” You yelled, as you turned away to shield yourself from him. He said nothing as he came behind you and wrapped his arms around you. It was so gentle that it almost didn’t seem like David. Again, you tried to say something else but it died on your lips. Instead a whimper came out as you fell to the floor and David gently fell with you. He kept your back pressed against his chest as you kept crying.
“I-I’m sorry.” you mumbled through your tears. David’s face nuzzled your neck as you wept uncontrollably.
“It’s okay. I’m right here.” he quietly said against your skin as you kept trying to steady your breathing. After a few minutes, you had calmed down enough but tears still kept falling down your face.
David listened as your heartbeat kept getting calmer by the minute. It was a soothing sound to him.
“Are you okay?” he asked, looking at your face. You scoffed, “No, but I’ll live.” you mumbled quietly. David hummed at your response.
“David, I hate this.” you stated with a sniffle. He perked up at your words and listened carefully.
“I hate everything about grief, I hate the confusion, I hate the sleepless nights, I hate the crying and I-” you cut off the sentence as you tried to not go into another crying fit. Taking in a shaky breath, you continued, “And I hate that I don’t know what to do. This whole process fucking sucks.”
David sighed and kissed your cheek. “You’re still in the early stages of grief. It’s confusing and it’s scary to go through. Especially by yourself.” he explained calmly, “One of the best things you can do is try to think of all of the good things that happened in her life. I detest seeing you this way, but I know it’s something you have to go through.” he finished.
You sighed and wiped your face, “But, why does it have to hurt so damn bad?” you asked, turning to try and look at his face. David moved back so he could look you in the eye.
“It hurts because you lost someone you loved. Your mind can’t understand how life will be different without her. Eventually, you’ll understand how to live life like before and carry on again.” he replied, calmly.
His eyes fell to the pearl choker around your neck and his hands moved to take it off. You didn’t object to the feeling of his cold hands as they fumbled with the clasp. Carefully, he took it off and moved to set it somewhere else. “Lets move to the mattress, hm?” David suggested. You nodded and the two of you got up and went to lay down together on the mattress. Instead of laying next to you, David was sitting next to you.
You closed your eyes when your back hit the soft blankets. It was comforting but you didn’t want to sleep even though your body was begging for it. You were just scared of what you would dream of.
“Would you like me to take off your ring?” David asked, holding your hand up to his face. You quirked your eyebrow at him. “Why would I need to take off her ring?” you asked sitting up. David rolled his eyes, “You don’t want it to fall off while you sleep. It might get lost.” he said, meeting your gaze.
“Uh, it won’t get lost while I sleep because I’m not going to sleep.” you replied, moving your hand away from his.
David scoffed at your words, “Kitten, this isn’t up for debate. I know you haven’t slept in days and it’s not healthy for you.” he argued, moving his hands to your face.
“David, I don’t need you to tell me what to do.” You declared. He looked down at you. His eyes were serious and you could tell that he was getting annoyed with this conversation.
“You are going to sleep and I don’t care if you refuse. I’m going to do this anyways” he said, finally. Before you could answer, you slipped into a deep sleep. Your body fell back onto the mattress and David was satisfied. He didn’t like using his vampire powers on you but, he felt like this was necessary. He looked down at your hand and carefully pulled the ring off. David got up from the mattress and set the ring down next to the pearl choker. He looked down at your sleeping form and smirked before laying down next to you. Tonight, all would be well for a while.

Anon: omg can you do one ab asking if cal wants to start a family
“Babe! Hurry we are going to be late!”
You were standing at the front door, looking inside of your bag in case you have forgotten anything.
“Y/N, you do know I went to the bathroom five minutes before you were done getting ready, right?” Your husband, Calum, said as he walked up to you.
You had to admit, you married the hottest guy on the planet. How can someone make a pair of jeans with a simple white shirt look so good?!
“But I still beat you at the door, didn’t I?” You asked with a grin that Calum easily reciprocated.
“That you did” He smiled, placing one hand at your side, kissing your template, and whispering in your ear “But that doesn’t mean you can beat me at the car” And with that, he started sprinting towards the driver’s seat.
It amazes you how after almost 7 years of relationship you never got over the honeymoon phase. You have met Calum when both of you were young, reckless, and stupid; and not looking for a relationship. But it only took one look at those brown eyes and you were hooked.
You still remember how he came to you with a lame excuse to talk to you at one of the many parties you used to crash with your best friends.
“You’re not supposed to be here,” He said, and you almost thought he discovered you and was going to call security “I’m pretty sure god will wonder where all of their angels went”
He quickly apologized once he realized the words that fell out of his mouth, but you just stood there giggling at this cute attempt of flirting. And, as they say, the rest was history.
The next couple of years came and went and it almost seemed like you were in some kind of an alternate reality where everything played out as it was supposed to. Yes, of course, there were rocky times, especially when distance came to play, but all those times just made your relationship stronger.
Neither of you knew why, but being together just felt right. Which ultimately came to him proposing one eventful night in August after visiting his parents in Australia. And that then leads to your wedding just a few months later, you still recall that as one of the happiest moments of your life.
That was 3 years ago, and you were proud to say that you got to marry your best friend. Every day felt like a never-ending slumber party with new adventures and dreams to fulfill. And you wouldn’t change it for the world.
You were thinking about it as of now, looking at Calum with a smile as he drove to your cousin’s place to celebrate the birthday of the newest addition to the family: your baby niece.
Going to these kinds of parties became pretty regular for you, given that you came from a really big family and all your cousins were almost the same age as you, so they started popping babies out like it was nothing! And you were so thankful Calum was always happy to come along “I love your family, Angel!” He said “And you have to give it to them, they know how to throw a party”
It was true. If there is something your family doesn’t take lightly is parties. You still get a headache every time you remember the stress of convincing them to do something lowkey for your wedding. And as you parked outside your cousin’s house you wonder how you actually did it.
“Wow,” Said Calum as he looked at all the balloons decorating the front door “They really went all out on this one” He laughed.
“Sabrina is one year old!” You laughed, unbuckling your seatbelt as Calum opened the door for you “She won’t even remember this!”
“Yeah.. but at least Aunt Bridget will get to brag about having real mariachis playing at the party”
“Real maria-?” You asked, but Calum was already trying to hold his laughter as he pointed to a mariachi band getting out of their van “Okay, that is new… We are not even from Mexico!”
“No… but mom went to the wedding of Mr. Gómez’s son and she insisted we hired the same band for little Sab’s birthday” Your cousin answered as she opened the door.
You and Calum hugged your cousin before making your way inside the house. You stood in awe as you walked up the backyard and everything was decorated in different shades of pink and purple. Even the family dog had some sort of ribbon around his collar.
“This looks…” You began
“Like if a vagina exploded?” Calum finished for you. You slapped him in the arm playfully, trying so hard not to laugh along with him and be serious.
Your cousin came back a few moments later to hand each of you a drink and inviting you outside to join the party.
*
The mariachis were actually really good, especially when they made Calum have a dance-off with one of your uncles to the chicken dance song. And the rest of the party was also really fun for kids and adults alike.
Now the sun was starting to set and most of your family members decided it was time to call it a day after so many games and dancing. You and Calum, however, decided to stay a little longer since most of your cousins unofficially agreed to have a ‘family-friendly after-party’
You were sitting next to your cousin as you held her baby in your lap, making her dance along with the music.
“You are good at this,” Your cousin said, looking at you and baby Sabrina.
You laughed “It’s not too hard of a job to entertain a baby” And to prove your point, you started making faces at your niece, who started laughing right away.
“It’s not that! You, my dear, have the touch”
“The touch?” She nodded.
“You have that motherly essence, it’s easy for you to engage with the children - they all love you by the way, which is a fact I’m extremely jealous of - And you just have that capacity of love only a parent can understand. C’mon, don’t tell me you and Calum haven’t thought about having a family?”
You drifted your eyes to find Calum amongst the crowd of adults and children.
He was playing soccer with your older nieces and nephews, laughing as he threw himself to the ground on exaggerated acting as the kids scored goal after goal, laughing at your husband’s antics.
And just like that, it was like an image of your future passing by You and Calum sitting in the backyard with Duke running around with your child, playing all sorts of games with you, swimming in the pool, and eating ice cream. Reading bedtime stories as Calum sang them to sleep, him teaching them how to play different instruments and sports, always encouraging them to follow their dreams and passions… Yes, you could get used to that.
“I- I haven’t thought about it” You finally said with a light blush on your cheeks. You didn’t know if it was because of the question, your daydream, or the way Calum was looking and smiling at you.
*
You couldn’t stop thinking about what your cousin said even when you were already in the car and on your way home with Calum humming along with the songs on the radio.
Once you reached your home you started looking around, thinking of all the places you could share with your potential future family; cooking dinner together at night or watching frozen one thousand times on movie night or creating a playroom just for them so they could have their own space to create whatever comes into their minds and-
“You are really quiet, Angel,” Your husband said, interrupting your train of thought “Is everything alright?”
You pressed your lips together in a tight smile and nodded as he came to hug you from behind, resting his head on your shoulder “Did you have fun with the kids today?” You asked cautiously.
Calum chuckled “Yeah… Matthew almost threw me off at one point, he’s getting good at soccer”
“I hope so! His dad told me he started going to practice cause he wants to be a soccer player and a musician like his uncle Cal” You said, pecking your lips in Calum’s red cheek. You could see that he was slightly embarrassed but in a good way. You wonder if your future children will be like that as well.
Maybe they’ll have his cheeks, or your eyes… oh, please let them have Calum’s curly hair.
You smiled to yourself at the thought of little chubby-cheeked curly-haired heads running around your house. They will be perfect and they will be so loved…
Calum hummed next to your ear, placing a little kiss to the shell of it “I know what’s got you all wrapped up in daydream land” He said, hugging you tighter.
You turned your face to look at him “You do?” He nodded and placed his head on your shoulder again.
“Knew it since I saw you looking at me when I was playing with the kids” He placed a kiss on your cheek and made you turn around completely while still holding you by your waist. You swore you could hear the beating of your heart thundering louder and louder.
“And to be honest, I’ve been thinking about it since the first time I saw you hold a baby”
You blinked at him, confusion written all over your face “What?”
“Well… I knew from the moment I saw you that I wanted to start a family with you. I just confirmed it the day you took me to Matthew’s birthday party to meet your family” He said as a matter-of-factly.
“Yo-you want to start a family with me?” You asked with a flash of hope in your eyes.
Calum smiled at you, his eyes filled with pure adoration “I want to start everything with you, Angel. As long as you let me”
“Do you think we’re ready?”
“I love you, you love me” He said and you nodded with a smile “We’ve been together for 7 years, married for 3; we both have steady jobs, I’m not leaving for tour anytime soon so I’ll be home through every step of the way, we live in a nice house and Duke is more than ready to have a new partner in crime, so… what do you say, love?” Calum said with a cheeky smile.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him closer into a kiss.
“Let’s do it”

Series Master-List
Notes: Does anybody else get super nervous before they post a story? I get so nervous. Why?
“Almost ready honey?” Jack asked, knocking on the bathroom door.
“Yeah, just one sec” you said, fastening the last bobby pin into the veil. “Alright no peaking when I come out-”
“Sugar, our appointment time is at-”
“Jack please,” you whined. “It will just take a moment, and you’re not allowed to give me sass today because I will get my pay back tonight when we cut the cake.”
You heard him chuckle from behind the door, “alright darlin’ my eyes are closed.”
You cracked open the door to make sure he was telling the truth. “No peeking,” you warned, stepping out so that you could be in full view.
“I wouldn’t dream of it,” he said with a smirk.
“Alright - you can open.”
He opened his eyes, giving you the once over and whistling. “Well, look at you. My mamma forced me to go to church all my life, and they never mentioned anything about letting angels walk around on earth... but here you are.”
“oh yeah, that’s me, proper virgin Mary.” You turned around to look in the stand up mirror in front of you. You weren’t showing a lot, but enough to make you feel bloated and icky. It had been weeks, but the morning sickness persisted.
He came up behind you, placing his hands on your stomach and resting his head on your shoulder. The two of you looked at each other in the mirror for a moment.
Jack was in his Sunday best and you in the only white dress you could find at the boutique in town. You two were not pressed for money but considering the circumstances, and how sick you still felt, both you and Jack decided to keep the wedding low key. You didn’t need a big wedding anyway, neither did Jack.
“I don’t look dumb?” you asked.
He looked at you seriously “now sugar, why on earth would you say that?”
You adjusted the dress a little, frowning. “I don’t think either of our families are thrilled about the surprise. You know, one second we were both single, then the next we were pregnant and engaged… The age thing doesn’t help either. Then the people at the courthouse, they’re probably going to judge too-”
He spun you around so you were facing him. “If anybody says anything to you - then you tell me and I will deal with it. I don’t care who they are. You understand?”
You looked into his eyes, remembering how angry he had been the day you found out you were pregnant. “You still want this, right?”
“Yes. Do you?”
“Of course. I’m just making sure.”
He put his hands on your belly again. “Trust me sugar, nothin’ would make me happier than standing up there with you and telling the entire world how much I love you. I do not give a flyin’ fuck what anybody else has to say about it, because frankly it is none of their goddamn  business. You understand?”
You nodded. He spun you back around so he could hug you from behind again. You giggled and scrunched up your nose as he pressed little kisses to your cheek, then neck.
Sunlight drifted in through the lace curtain, bathing the room in an amber glow. The two of you, together, it looked right. You had never felt more safe than when you were with Jack. He had collected the pieces of your broken heart and glued them back together one by one, and you did the same for him.
For the first time in a long time, he was excited about the future because he knew he wouldn’t be alone.
“What are you thinking about?” you asked him softly.
He smiled “how much I love you.”
You returned the smile. Feeling that familiar sting in the corners of your eyes. It seemed as though recently you had little control over these kinds of shifts in emotion. The last few weeks had been a lot. “Fuck,” you laughed “I knew I wasn’t going to make it to the ceremony.”
Jack noticed and kissed your cheek again and shushed you gently. “No need for that, you’ll ruin your makeup darlin’.”
“I love you too,” you told him.
“So let's get married. Come on” he said, giving your ass a light tap - before going over to grab his hat from the bed. “Or do I have to pick you up and carry you there myself?”
“I bet you wouldn’t even be able t -” you challenged.
Before you could even finish the sentence, Jack placed his hat on his head and scooped you up bridal style. You giggled all the way down the stairs.
-
The wedding was lovely. The courthouse was one of the oldest buildings in the county, built in 1796. It was a grand building, full of white stone columns, with a clock tower that made it the tallest structure in miles. The ceremony was brief. You and Jack were smiling like idiots the entire time.
A little while later, you hosted a backyard reception with your family and friends.
-
“Hey- I need you” you whispered, hooking your arm in your husbands and pulling him away from the group of people he was standing with.
“Why? Are you okay? Is the baby okay?” he asked, placing a hand on your belly.
“Yes. Sorry, nothing like that just...you’ll see” you pulled him into the laundry room and shut the door behind you. Without another word, you leaned up and kissed him. He was surprised at first, but was soon kissing you back - trying to keep up.
You pulled away breathless and kept your voice low, “OK I need a favor.”
Jack’s brows were still knit in confusion. “anything.”
“I need you to fuck me.”
“Now?” he asked, a little too loud. You gave him a stern look and his voice softened “now?”
“Yes” you whined. “Tonight is too far away,” you gave him those puppy dog eyes “please?”
He put his hands on his hips and looked down at you, laughing a little. “Twice this morning wasn’t enough?”
You kicked idly at the floor with your shoe “no... but if you don’t want to-”
He was quick to cut you off “no, no. I want to…. but sugar, we got a whole house full of people, why don’t we go upstairs?”
“I want to save that for our real first time,” you said.
Recently it seemed as though if you weren’t bed ridden from nausea you were all over him, begging for him to fuck you. Jack didn’t mind, of course, he enjoyed seeing you feel better…. and you know, the sex wasn’t too bad either. The record had been four times in one day. At his age, he was pretty proud of that.
The cowboy laughed and glanced out the frosted glass window. Shadows of people moved back and forth. “What if they hear us?”
You gave him a little smirk “then I guess you’ll just have to keep me quiet.”
He narrowed his eyes at you, then took your hand to pull you in for a bruising kiss. He pulled you flush against him, exploring your mouth with his tongue, before breaking the kiss and spinning you around.
He nudged you gently with his body, boxing you in against the dryer.
“This okay?” he whispered, bringing a hand around to your stomach once more.
“Yeah” you said, then felt his hand move to the buttons on the back of the dress. “Don’t bother - keep it on.”
“Whatever you say Mrs. Daniels.”
He got on his knees behind you, large hands brushing the back of your thighs and pushing your dress up over your waist. He smirked at the lacy panties you had on, hooking a finger in them and pulling them down. They fell to your ankles; he helped you kick them off easily.
In one fluid motion, he lifted you up a little and put his mouth on you from behind. You suppressed a groan  hen grabbed at a towel to bite down on and muffle your sounds.
He swiped his skilled tongue through your slick folds, loving how you tasted. Your eyes fluttered shut as he pushed his tongue inside of you. His hand came up, grabbing a fistful of your ass and squeezing until he left a little red mark.
He continued licking into you, flicking his tongue against your clit as you squirmed under his touch. It didn’t take long for your orgasm to come crashing into you. You bit down hard on the fabric of the towel, trying and failing to stifle a moan.
“Holyfuck Jack,” you breathed, when he finally broke away.
You felt him move your veil to the side so he could plant sloppy kisses to your neck, his hands quickly undoing the loops on his belt. “Was that good honey?” he knew it was, he just wanted to hear you say it.
“I know what you’re doing,” you giggled.
He pretended to be offended “what? Trying to make sure I’ve satisfied my wife?”
Hearing him referred to you as his wife turned you on even more. That need settled between your legs again. Jack’s arm came to hook around your waist while the other came to steady himself on the dryer.
You shuddered as he dragged his cock along your folds, teasing you.
His voice was dark with lust “you ready darlin’?”
As soon as you nodded, he moved his hand from your waist, clamping it over your mouth as he pushed inside you. You threw your head back and allowed your eyes to close again. The feeling of him stretching you out made you clench around his cock. He always felt so big from behind.
He ground his hips into you slowly, his hand buzzing with the sound of your moans.
Soon he fell into a steady pace, pumping into you as your hips bucked to meet each thrust. His breaths fell heavy on your ear. The two of you were so lost in bliss you nearly forgot about the party outside.
The handle to the laundry room door twisted and was pushed open only a crack before Jack’s hand came out and slammed it shut again.
“Is y/n in there?” a woman’s voice called from behind the door. It was one of your aunts, you realized.
You felt Jack’s hand press a little harder into your mouth. “Yep, she’ll be out in a second,” he responded, never slowing his pace. “Morning sickness is a bitch, gotta get the stain out of her dress.”
“Oh, alright,” the woman said, “tell her to find me once you’re done, we want to get a picture for Facebook.”
“Will do,” Jack responded, then pulled out of you - spinning you around to face him before slamming into you again.
He removed his hand from your mouth and replaced it with his lips. Growling against your lips as he continued to pump into you; he was trying to hold out until you came first. He wanted to make sure your needs were taken care of before his.
He could tell that you were close by the way you clung onto him, the muscles in your body tensing as he built up the pleasure in your core. When you finally fell apart, he made sure to kiss you a little harder - absorbing the sound of your cries with his mouth.
He was not far behind and soon you were both left, disheveled and out of breath. He kissed you on the cheek and nuzzled the side of your neck, breathing in the smell of hairspray.  Jack knew that the two of you had to go back out there, but he wished he could stay in there with you all night.
He finally pulled back, studying your face for a moment before saying, “look at that, didn’t even smudge your lipstick. Am I good or what?”
“It’s a stain Jack. Cover Girl gets the credit here” you teased, patting the side of his face before reaching down to pick up your panties from the ground.
He started to dress himself again as well “you just wait, I still got two more tries tonight. I bet that mascara is gonna look wonderful running down your pretty little face.”
“Two, huh?”
“What?..... Three? Christ darlin’ you’re gonna put me in the goddamn hospital you know that? If I throw my back out again you are gonna have to explain to Ginger how it happened this time.” He reached up to straighten your veil as you adjusted his tie. Then he offered you his arm. “Alright baby girl, you up for a dance or two?”

You had prepared so long for this meeting, but as soon as you were face to face with Jin’s parents, you were the most awkward person in the world. You could barely say a word without blushing and so you settled for not speaking at all. And well, that made it ten times worse.
In addition to that, you were so afraid to offend them in some way when speaking to them, even though Jin had told you not to worry about that.
“I'm just wondering.. what made you fall in love with our son?” the direct question put you on the spot. This wasn't a question that Jin could answer for you, you had to do that yourself.
And so you took a deep breath and looked at her, “May I speak freely?” you waited for her to nod, then you said: “He loves me for who I am. He accepts me the way I am. And he told me that he got this kind of acceptance from you two. So I am very grateful that you have raised such a wonderful man.”
His father crossed his arms in front of his chest, making you gulp down hard, but then he grinned, “Did you hear that, honey? We raised a wonderful man.”
“Aw, you're so cute,” his mother giggled, “I like you, young lady.”

His parents could tell how nervous you were, that is probably why they pulled out Yoongi's old baby photos, to shift the attention away from you and onto him. They hoped that that way, you'd feel a little more comfortable.
And while it was true that you did feel a sense of ease wash over you as his mother was telling you all sorts of embarrassing stories about your boyfriend, the shift from extreme nervousness to this, made you stop thinking before speaking.
“Look at him, he had the cutest little butt,” his mother swooned.
“Well, he still does.”
And it was already too late to take it back once it was out.
His parents were taken aback, but your boyfriend just laughed and shrugged, “She's not wrong, you know?”
Thank god for Yoongi.
jung hoseok
Tumblr media
“(Y/N), Hoseok told us that you speak another language,” his mother leaned a little forward on the table, “Can you say anything in that language?”
Ah, great. The question that you hated more than anything in the world, because you never knew what to respond.
So what did you end up saying?
That one French phrase from Lady Marmalade. Yes. That one.
And man, as soon as it was out, you realized what you had said and started blushing.
“Oh, that sounds lovely! I'm sure that means something really romantic, right?”
You started to chuckle, but it sounded so fake to your boyfriend that he immediately furrowed his eyebrows.
“Yes. Very romantic.”
It was only later that night, after you had already gotten home, that you told him what you had just said. He laughed so hard that he had to cry.
kim namjoon
Tumblr media
“I was surprised when Namjoon told us about your age.. I always thought he'd want his girlfriend to be a little older than what your age is,” his mother said honestly, not meaning it in a mean way.
And you didn't think take it as such, you thought it was a genuine question that you actually understood. Namjoon had admitted to you that he had always thought he'd end up with someone older than your age, but love didn't work that way.
Nevertheless, your nerves got the better of you and without thinking about it, you just blurted out: “Well, that's okay, I like models such as that of Namjoon.”
Your boyfriend was so freaking shocked that he stopped drinking mid-way and just stared at you with wide eyes just like his mother did.
It was his father that started laughing so hard and loud that all the restaurant turned and looked at you four.
He actually started crying from how hard he laughed, which made it a little better for you. At least one person in the room appreciated your humor.
park jimin
Tumblr media
Jimin's parents were lovely, they really were. But they really liked alcohol and you, not wanting to be disrespectful, drank with them and tried to keep up that night when you first met them.
And it reeeeally loosened your tongue.
“Ah, I'm so lucky to be with him,” you wrapped an arm around your boyfriend and kissed his cheek, “Thank you for making the most wonderful man in the world, Mr. and Mrs. Park.”
Jimin was a little uncomfortable, because he thought his parents would be, but they actually thought it was hilarious and his mother found it rather cute from the looks of it.
“Well, she can't hold her liquor, but she sure as hell sounds like a keeper, son!” his father raised his glass and drank one more to that.
In that case..
kim taehyung
Tumblr media
You weren't used to this.
When Taehyung had said he wanted you to meet his parents, you had assumed you'd meet in a restaurant and just have dinner. Just the four of you.
But now you were sitting in his parents' house with literally the entire family at a table, all having gathered here today to take a look at Taehyung's new girlfriend. You.
“Ah, you're such a beautiful girl,” one of his aunts said, looking over to Taehyung's mother, “I'm sure you're over the moon that your son has picked out a girl like that. Aren't you excited for all the cute babies they are going to make?”
The question caught you off-guard, you hadn't expected them to talk about babies so soon, so you spit out a little bit of the drink you were having, making everyone around the table laugh.
“Don't worry, love,” his mother smiled encouragingly at you, “I don't expect you to have grandchildren so soon.”
But when you looked at Taehyung and you saw him wiggle his eyebrows, you quickly kicked his foot under the table.

This most certainly was an unconventional way of meeting the parents of your partner for the first time, but maybe they did it because they thought it'd make you more comfortable in a setting such as this one... which was a camping trip.
Thankfully, though, Jeongguk's brother and his girlfriend that he hadn't had for too long either tagged along and so you didn't feel like the only elephant in the room.. or.. woods.
Everything went relatively fine, mostly because you hadn't had much opportunity to speak with them properly except for a hello, nice to meet you. But when you were sitting around the campfire at night, it was time for the interrogation.
“So, (Y/N), tell us a little bit about yourself.”
You hadn't thought they'd put you on the spot like that, because suddenly all eyes were on you and you really weren't prepared for a question as deep as this. Because revealing information about you like this was always uncomfortable, in any situation.
“Well, uh.. I like.. hot dogs!” your brain didn't function properly, it was the first thing that came to mind and you immediately wanted to hit yourself for saying that.
But it definitely broke the ice, made everyone laugh and his father give you a thumbs-up and tell you that that's a good choice.
Jeongguk gently rubbed over your back and smiled at you, showing you that you could say whatever you wanted to say, they just wanted to know you a little better.
So that was comforting.

The Broken Crown- Chapter 4
Enjoy chapter 4!
Summary: All Margaret Shelby ever wanted, was the opportunity to write her own story. Only now is she beginning to realize that her brother may have already written it for her...
OoOoOo
"When your dreams all fail,
And the ones we hail, Are the worst of all,
And the blood runs stale"

Maggie was so excited. She dragged Cara toward the pub the moment their school day was finished.
"Why are we going into the Garrison?" The blonde asked curiously.
"You have to meet the barmaid who works here," Maggie explained.
"I've seen her," Cara informed her. "What's so special about her?"
"We've become good friends." It was true, after such a long period of time had passed without seeing her older sister, Grace inevitably filled the gaping space that Ada had left behind.
"Should I be jealous?" The blonde teased.
Maggie flashed a loving smile, "No one could ever replace you."
When the dark-haired girl opened the pub door, the first thing they heard was Grace's melodic voice singing. "-As I've never loved before..."
Maggie spotted Grace serving drinks to the regular customers. Unfortunately, one of those customers was Ross, who was sitting with a group of men who would hang around the betting shop. Cara was quick to notice him too, her body immediately tensed.
"Since first I saw you on the village green..."
"Sorry Mags, I forgot my mum wanted me to fix stitching on some dresses," This was one of the few times Maggie had ever seen Cara looking embarrassed, "Maybe next time, yeah?"
"Come to me ere my dream of love is o'er..."
The dark-haired girl nodded, not wanting to refute the her friends claim, and watched Cara hurriedly exit through the doors.
"I love you as I loved you when you were sweet..." Maggie moved herself over to the row of empty barstools and took a seat as Grace was finishing her song. "When you were sweet sixteen."
Grace then walked behind the bar while Maggie applauded at the performance. "Hello Maggie," Grace greeted happily, grabbing a dirty pint glass off the bar. "Don't look behind you,but a handsome young man is staring at you."
Maggie felt her stomach turn, responding, "Let's change the subject."
Grace smirked, "How was school?"
"Dull," The girl said truthfully, "Harry out again?"
Grace nodded, "It's been slow."
"What have you been doing today?"
"I had a meeting with the gentleman who will be installing the pub's brand new phone."
"Neat." Maggie beamed at the thought of the new technology.
"Your brother is trying to go legitimate." Grace informed her, "He wants to make this place seem a bit more respectable."
"Which one?" The dark-haired girl asked.
"Arthur." She answered back unenthusiastically, "Though he doesn't seem too interested in fixing anything. I mean, look at the state of these." The barmaid picked up a carton of cigarettes that was ripping apart. "Where do these even come from?" She asked, hoping this question would lead to where the guns may be hidden.
Maggie just shrugged at her question. "How should I know? I think they have a few warehouses in town."
Grace nodded, taking in the information, before noticing a customer beckon her over, "I'll be back." She told the girl.
Maggie sat by herself for a few moments before she felt a presence inch closer to stand beside her. She knew there would be a confrontation at some point, she had done so well in avoiding him. She didn't have a chance to say anything before Ross spoke first, "I had instructions to give this to you."
Reaching into the pocket inside of his coat he pulled out a folded piece of parchment, placing it on the bar he slid it towards her. She was surprised but nevertheless relieved when he said nothing else and walked back to his table. Taking the note, she unfolded it to read the message that was scribbled out. As she read a smile crept onto her face. The message was from Ada.
OoOoOo
In the parlor, Maggie had been writing in her journal when Polly descended the down the stairs. "Put your shoes on," The older woman ordered, "Johns called a family meeting."
Watching Polly walk across the room, Maggie raised her eyebrow, "Thought I wasn't allowed at family meetings."
"John says it's not that kind of a meeting," Polly said, exiting into the tiny kitchen. Maggie happily closed her book and slipped on her black boots which were resting right underneath the old coffee table, before following her aunt into the kitchen.
"Pol?" Maggie asked worriedly when she noticed the woman standing rigidly by the table. "What's the matter?"
"Nothing." Polly said after a moment, "C'mon, we don't want to be late." Polly moved to enter the betting shop with her niece in tow.
"Where's John?" Tommy asked his aunt, agitated his brother was not at his post.
"John's in the Garrison, says he wants a meeting about a family matter," Polly informed him, placing her hat on her head. "After he's said his piece he'll come back and take his place with Scudboat."
Maggie tried to follow her aunt, but was stopped by Tommy's outstretched arm, "Where are you going?"
"To the meeting. John told Polly I could come," Maggie explained to him.
Though Tommy didn't look completely persuaded, Polly called on the large man taking bets. "John will be here in ten minutes"
"Five," Tommy corrected before the family walked out of the shop onto the cobblestone pavement.
"What does John want to talk about?" Tommy asked his aunt.
"Your guess is as good as mine. Always been one for dramatics, our John" Polly replied jokingly causing Maggie to chuckle out.
"You're in a good mood," Tommy noted to the smiling girl as he pulled out a cigarette to smoke.
"I like going to the Garrison," Maggie responded.
"She likes talking to that barmaid." Polly translated her nieces' words.
"You and Grace seem to chat a lot," Tommy spoke, exhaling a breath of smoke.
The girl shrugged. "I like Grace, she likes my writing," quickly adding, "We're friends."
"You trust her enough to share your work," Tommy said, impressed by the sudden growth of his sister. "I'm thinking of asking her to be my secretary," Tommy suddenly informed the ladies.
"Only a secretary?" Maggie asked, raising her eyebrows cheekily.
He flashed her a ghost of a smile, "Never you mind."
"Secretary, eh?" Polly finally spoke up as the Garrison came into their view.
"We're going, legitimate Pol." Tommy reasoned, "What's more legitimate than a secretary? Or maybe I’ll make her a bookkeeper. Arthur mentioned she’s good with numbers and helped him fix the books." Polly said nothing and this seemed to spark something in the gangster, "Got something to say?"
"Just don't let your cock do your thinking for you Thomas," Polly warned. He remained silent, but a small smirk was fixed on his face causing the aunt to roll her eyes.
When they entered the pub, it was empty, except for Harry, who stood behind the bar drying some glasses with a white rag. They saw Finn leaning against the outer wall of the private room, which Maggie assumed John and Arthur were already in.
"Stay out here Finn," Polly ordered the eleven-year-old who tried to enter with them.
"But Mags gets to go in!" The boy protested, yet his words went unheard. This made him look jealousy at his sister, who had stuck her tongue out at her little brother as she walked into the snug with the rest of the family. Both John and Arthur were already seated, and she took a place right next to Polly.
"All right John, there's only one man-," Tommy spoke, before declining the drink Arthur poured for him continuing, "There's only one man guarding the house. What's troubling you?"
"Aunt Polly, Maggie, you two know what it's been like since Martha died." John began.
Maggie gave her brother a sad smile as Polly took his hand and said, "God takes the best first."
John looked to his sister, "Mags, you've been a big help with them, but the truth is my kids have been running bloody rings around me." With hopelessness in his voice, he continued, "Running barefoot with the dogs until all hours."
Maggie's heart ached for him, but Tommy was not having it, "Pol, give him ten bob for some new shoes. Is that it, John?" He asked his brother impatiently.
"Tommy it would be better to do this without you," Polly scolded before turning her attention back to John. "Now what's your point?"
"What the kids need is a mother." John spoke again slowly, "So that's why I'm getting married."
Everyone in the room exchanged glances of surprise. Polly was the first to speak, "Does this poor girl know you're going to marry her? Or are you just going to spring it on her all of a sudden?"
John replied matter-of-factly, "I've already proposed, and she said 'yes'."
"I think that's great John," a smiling Maggie announced. Finally! She was officially off babysitting duty.
"I think there's a shell about to land and go bang," Tommy stated mockingly, before lighting the cigarette hanging in his mouth.
Hesitantly John spoke again, "It's um- its Lizzie Stark."
"Oh, eww," Maggie breathed out, crossing her arms as her family cackled at her expression.
Polly managed to compose herself, "John, Lizzie Stark is a strong woman and I am sure she provides a fine service for her customers-"
"I won't hear the word! Understand? Do not use that word." He told them angrily.
Tommy sighed out, "What word is that, John?"
"You know what word that is," John growled out.
"Everybody bloody knows" Arthur finally spoke out and pointed at his sister, "Shit, even Mags here knows."
John gritted out, "Everybody can go to Hell."
"Whore. That word?" Tommy finally supplied. "Or prostitute? How about that one?"
Fury flashed in Johns' eyes, "Right I want it known, if anyone calls her a whore again, I will push the barrel of my revolver down their throats and blow the word back down into their hearts."
"Well, that's not dramatic at all," Maggie mumbled out her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Men and their cocks never cease to amaze me." Polly berated, "John, Lizzie Stark never did a day's work vertical- "
"She's changed!" John insisted, "All right?! People change! Like- Like with religion-"
"Lizzie Stark has got religion, eh?" Tommy interrupted.
"No! No, she doesn't have religion, but- well she loves me." John asserted, "Now listen Tommy, I won't do it without your blessing. But of all the people in the world- I want you to see it as brave."
"Oh, it's brave all right," Arthur muttered before taking a swig of his drink.
"Brave is going where no man has gone before. And with Lizzie Stark, John, that really is not what you'll be doing" She told him, unable to hold back the laughter.
But he ignored her, looking back at his older brother, "Listen, Tommy, welcome her to the family, as someone whose had a hard life. All right because I need someone. The kids need someone."
Tommy looked as if he was about to give his reply before Finn pushed open the door forcefully panting out, "Tommy, we've been done over!"
"What?" Arthur asked in disbelief.
Quickly Maggie followed her siblings and Polly, who all practically ran out of the Garrison. Not stopping until they all were back in front of number seventeen, Watery Lane. "You and Finn stay outside," Polly ordered once they were outside the entrance of the betting shop.
Maggie was about to object until Tommy echoed their aunts' instructions and followed the rest of his family inside. The pair of Shelby's eventually moved from the noisy street to the alley where the car was parked. Finn carefully crawled onto the hood and contorted his way over the front window. Maggie followed her brother, stepping up to sit on top of the hood, letting her feet lightly kick the metal of the vehicle that protected the thin wheels.
"Look, Maggie," Finn giggled and the girl twisted her upper body to see her brother playing with the steering wheel, "I'm Tommy!"
The girl smiled, "If you're trying to be Tommy, you should work more on your scowl." She told him jokingly. Overdramatically Finn made a scowl but immediately broke character by breaking out in even more giggles, triggering Maggie to laugh as well.
Suddenly Tommy was at the entrance of the alleyway in front of them, he looked instantly distressed. "Maggie, Finn." He began slowly, "Both of you stay exactly where you are."
"What's wrong?" she asked him worriedly. Did something happen inside?
Raising his arm out to her spoke out cautiously, "Mags, as careful as ya can, I need you to slowly slide off the hood."
She did as she was told, while Finn kept snickering, "I was pretending I was you." The child told his brother, but Tommy ignored him instead he directed Maggie to move against the dingy brick wall.
Once he felt like his sister was out of danger he went back to the child in the car, "Which door did you open to come in Finn?"
"I didn't," He told his big brother proudly. "I climbed in."
"I want you to climb out exactly the same way you climbed in, okay?" Tommy instructed, but Finn disobeyed and opened the driver's door.
Maggie watched as Tommy ran to grab an object that had been on the side of the door, yelling out, "Clear!" before flinging it to hit the brick wall on the opposite side of the street. Maggie yelped out at the sound of the explosion, which caused working men to drop to the ground. "That's why you should never pretend to be me, okay?" Tommy told Finn, visibly shaken by this incident. Tommy then took a deep breath and pulled both of his younger siblings close to him.
OoOoOo
Polly and Maggie had just entered the washhouse Ada had informed them she would be visiting. It was a large space, but luckily there were not very many people who decided to do their laundry at the establishment that afternoon. Alone in the corner of the washroom, sitting on a stool, was a woman with a long brown coat, wide black hat, folding trousers onto the small table beside her.
"Need help?" Polly asked the woman eagerly.
The woman looked up to see her family members and smiled, "You got my letter." Ada grinned and stood up with a bit of difficulty, Polly was the first one to embrace her.
Once the aunt and niece pulled apart it was Maggie's turn. Though the hug was more on the awkward side, due to the sizable stomach that was in the way. She muttered into her sisters' ear, "Fuck, you're huge!"
"Oh, shut up." Ada happily retorted, smacking her sister's arm lightly.
"What's with the glasses?" Maggie laughed and pointed at the large spectacles on her sister's face.
"Freddie wants me in disguise when I go out now." She spoke with a bored tone and pointed to the strange-looking eyeglasses. "Can't bloody see anything with these."
Maggie grabbed a pair of socks, which she assumed was Freddie's, from Ada's hand, "Here let me help you." She told her sister and began to fold the newly laundered clothing.
"Has Freddie got you hiding somewhere near?" Polly asked hostilely.
"It's fucking rat hole," Ada spit out, "the entire flat is about the size of your room, Mags."
Maggie felt sad for her sister. Sure, the Shelby family didn't have much to their name, but they were better off compared to most of the population in Small Heath. "Is that Copper still looking for Freddie?" Ada inquired to which Polly nodded.
Ada cursed and placed a hand on her large stomach, "I just want to live in peace with my family. But instead of thinking of me or the baby, all he cares about is the bloody cause. Freddie even gave someone two hundred bloody pounds."
Polly leaned in closer to the pregnant girl, and with a hushed tone asked, "Who?"
OoOoOo
Maggie walked down the hall from her room to Tommy's, she was hoping she could borrow a pen since hers ran out of ink. Before she opened the closed door, she could have sworn she heard noises. Had her brother come home early?
"Tom?" She asked, opening the door, but that wasn't who was in the room, "John?"
Being caught, the third oldest Shelby stopped his rifling through their brothers' things, though seemed relieved it was only her, "Mags-"
"What are you doing here?" She asked before she noticed that his eyes were watery, "Has something happened?"
"The weddings off," He informed her with an irritated tone and moved to the dresser drawers.
"Oh." Was all she could manage to say awkwardly, "I'm sorry."
"Don't," he told her bitterly, shaking his head then went back to rifling through the dresser flipping over Tommy's clothes. "It ain't your fault I'm a fucking idiot!"
"You're no idiot, John," she assured him yet he just scoffed at her words.
"Never fall in love Maggie, leads to nothing but fucking agony."
“What does falling in love even feel like anyway?” She surprised herself when she asked.
John stopped and turned his red eyes to her for a moment before continuing his search, “You know it… it's like this feeling in your gut.” He told her somewhat uncomfortably, “Your heart beats a little faster, your mind always wanders back to thinking about them, no matter what you're doing; when you eat, when you sleep, when you work… Why the fuck are you asking me this?”
“No reason”, Maggie said quickly. "What are you even looking for, anyway?"
He didn't respond to her question, causing her to become frustrated. "Fine, don't tell me." Maggie walked over to the nightstand, picked up the first writing device she saw and left the room.
OoOoOo
The next evening Maggie had fallen asleep on the sofa in the tiny parlor of their home, at least until she was shaken awake by her aunt. "What's the matter?" she muttered out, quickly sitting herself up. Was something wrong? Had the Lees come back?
"Nothing, love" Polly reassured her, "I left a new dress on your bed, go put it on."
"We're going out?" The girl asked, confused, no one had told her they had prior arrangements.
"Yes," Polly nodded, "Now c'mon, we don't have that much time."
Maggie rose from her spot, "Where are we going, Pol?"
"To a wedding," The older woman huffed impatiently and made her way up the stairs to the bedrooms.
This confused Maggie even more, "Whose?"
Not two hours later Maggie had gotten her answer. She and Polly met Ada near the Lees campground and walked into their enemy's territory with no trouble at all. They approach the crowd of witnesses just as Johnny Dogs begins the ceremony. Ada stopped to stand beside Tommy.
"Let's stand over here, love," Polly said, guiding Maggie past her siblings to get a better view of the union. She watched on as Johnny officiated, taking notice that her brother actually looked happy to be up there. Her attention was taken off the bride and groom when she spotted Ross standing about ten feet away with the rest of the Peaky Blinders. Smiling softly at his familiar face, she waved, her stress alleviated when he did the same.
"I now pronounce you man and wife," Johnny said happily as all the witnesses cheered at the new couple's first kiss.
As the night went on the partygoers were all in a festive mood. Sitting on a wooden barrel, Maggie watched as everyone mingled and danced. Tommy was sitting and chatting with the matriarch of the Lee family, Arthur was in the middle of what looked like a drinking contest, and John danced to the music with his beautiful new wife, Esme. Even she had started to sway to the music as the firecrackers sounded off over the happy noises.
"Mags," Ross greeted her, walking up next to stand next to her seating place.
"Hello," she replied, followed by an awkward pause, "I'm sorry I've been avoiding you." She told him after a few moments.
"Understandable." He responded instantly, "I've been a wanker and not just to you." Taking another puff of his cigarette, he exhaled, "I'll talk to Cara."
Maggie was surprised by this proclamation, "Really?"
"I'll sort it out." He nodded looking at the others dancing, and with a smile continued, "I miss walking with you two."
Maggie returned the smile, "We miss you too."
Ross stuck his hand out, "Care to dance?"
Maggie felt her face flush, and waved her hands in protest, "Oh, no I couldn't."
"C'mon, it's a party." He urged, with his hand still outstretched. Smiling, the girl cautiously took it and was led to the crowd.
Feeling like an idiot, she tried to keep up with the fast-paced music, but it seemed like her feet couldn't move fast enough. She felt someone clumsily bump into her backside nearly knocking her over. "Oi! Watch- Oh sorry love." Ada slurred out.
"It's alright," Maggie assured her sister, regaining her balance.
Ada then awkwardly cupped her little sister's face with both hands, and with a very stern tone warned, "Don't you ever let a man call you a 'Fucking Shelby' you hear me." She then rounded on the man next to her and jabbed a finger close to Ross’s face. "You hear me."
"Don't you worry, Ada," Ross guaranteed her, which seemed to be good enough for the older Shelby girl whose demeanor quickly changed back to her delighted drunkenness, dancing away from them.
As Ross spun her around, she caught a glimpse of John and Esme, sitting together and happily getting to know one another, "Seems like love at first sight." She heard Ross say.
"Seems so," Maggie replied happily. Very soon her attention was drawn to Tommy and Arthur trying to get a drunken Ada under control, "Oh no." She breathed out, walking closer to her feuding family members.
"Come and look, Esme!" Ada shouted, "Come and look at the family you joined!" The music ceased and now everyone's attention was on the intoxicated woman. "Come and look at the man who runs it! He chooses his brother's wives for them!" Ada shouted out for everyone to hear. She wasn't finished though, the woman then pointed at her younger sister, "Have you got some old perverted man lined up for Maggie?!"
Maggie felt her stomach drop at the thought, she felt everyone's gaze turn to her as she remained frozen in place. The only comfort that she felt was when Ross put her arm around her waist, as if to protect her. Tommy just stood in front of Ada looking at her stoically, but the mother-to-be wasn't done yet. "He hunts his own sister down like a rat, and he tries to kill his own brother-in-law!"
"Ada, that's enough!" Arthur tried to intervene.
"And now he won't even let me have a fucking dance! Not even at a fucking wedding!"
"Sit her down!" John barked out.
"Calm down Ada," Polly kept repeating, trying to soothe her. "Holy Shit. Water, right."
"Not now Ada," Arthur whined, obviously devastated the party was now unavoidably cut short. "Bloody hell, you do pick your times."
Tommy rushed over to Ada placing his coat over her and assisted Pol with leading her out of the vicinity and into the family car.
Maggie turned to her friend, "I have to-"
"Go." Ross finished for her.
Maggie rushed towards her family, who all made their way to the car. "It's too early!" she heard Ada cry out as she was ushered into the vehicle. Maggie too jumped into the front seat next to her brother.
"It'll be ok, love." Polly soothed sliding in next to her, before turning to the driver, "Step on it, Tommy."
OoOoOo
"Freddie," Ada kept repeating as she laid down on the sofa in the small parlor. "I want Freddie!"
"I know," Maggie sighed out uncomfortably, moving a sweaty piece of hair out of her sister's face.
"I can't do it, Mags. I can't do it on my own." Ada whimpered.
The younger girl's heart ached, "Hey, look at me, you can do this," She assured her, "You are so strong, if anyone can do this it'll be you."
Luckily for them, Esme had finally arrived moments later.
"Ada!" They heard Polly scream before she re-entered the home. "They're getting the word out to Freddie. He'll be here, love." She assured her niece, who grunted out as yet another contraction commenced.
"I think it might be the wrong way 'round," Esme told them, "I attended three sisters."
"Yeah, I think you're right," Polly agreed.
Maggie squirmed in place nervously, "What does that mean?"
"We should lean her forward," Esme suggested and Polly nodded, helping Ada up.
"C'mon, it's not that long to go, darling," The aunt encouraged the screaming woman. "Push, two, three!"
"Holy shit," Maggie muttered out, as she watched a new life was making its way out of her sister.
"Keep going, that's it!" Polly cheered before pulling out the baby completely. "It's a boy, Ada," Polly told the exhausted woman over the newborn's cries as Esme cut the cord connecting the mother and son with some old scissors.
Polly cleaned the new baby boy off tenderly with a small rag before returning him to Ada, who was beaming at the small life in her arms. Maggie heard banging from the front entrance and if she had not gotten out of the way fast enough Freddie may have run over her. Maggie smiled at the sight of the little family. The feeling didn't last long though, because the front door opened once again, and she felt herself being pushed aside the wall by a copper. Esme could be heard yelling, the baby boy began to shriek, and Ada sobbed, clinging to her newborn to her chest.
"Freddie!" Ada cried out as the group of officers dragged the new father out of the home.
"Tommy," Polly said darkly before letting out a string of curses in Romany before storming out of the house.

WIP Wednesday. A snip from my back in time, fix it Jonsa story and my Ned marries Cersei instead of Catelyn AU.
Tumblr media
"Here,” the child said and while Sansa was kneeling another person slipped from between the trees. This time a woman in a long flowing, tan dress, but her hair looked like the bark of the weirwood. She held something in her hands.
Jon watched as Sansa realized what it was and began to stand and protest, but Jon placed a hand on her shoulder to keep her kneeling.
“þú eru dawninn bringer, protector ór fólk,inn móðir ór allr hverr eru eigi dauðr. Vargr dróttning fran Norðririnn,” the child intoned as the woman came to stand before and raised a crown of weirdwood branches somehow petrified into a glistening, smooth crown with wild branches reaching to the moonlight.
Old tongue again, Jon realized and began to work through the translation, suddenly more grateful to his time among the freefolk.
“You are the dawnbringer, Protector of the People, Mother of All who are not dead. Wolf Queen from the North,” he murmured quietly, but kept his hand on her shoulder when she immediately began to protest.
The crown was nestled onto her head and Jon was moving to the front, pulling Dark Sister from sheath again and laying her tip down onto the ground with his head bowed.
“I swear to be the sword that guards you till there is no breath left in my body. Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no other to wife, hold no lands that are not yours as well, and father no children that do not call you mother. You are the queen I choose. You are my queen, now and always.”

It was a cold morning when Cersei Lannister pulled her cloak around her shoulders and slipped out of her room. Melara and Jeyne already waited for her patiently and she slipped past them without a word of greeting. They followed silently as Cersei expertly navigated her way outside of Casterly Rock without running into nary a servant or soldier who would scamper off to tattle.
They reached the woods without speaking and Cersei turned with a sharp grin. She held her hands out to the two girls and they smiled back and reached out to clasp hands. Turning they ran into the forest, laughing, as Cersei led them to the small creek.
“Where did you say she was?” Cersei asked as they cautiously stepped onto slick rocks, never letting go of each other.
“A good walk down the creek and even longer into the dark of the woods. Cersei, are you sure we should do this?” Melara whispered.
“Of course,” Cersei answered automatically and turned to go deeper into the woods while tugging at their hands.
“Your father, Cersei, we would be in so much trouble,” Jeyne added as she slightly resisted.
Cersei sighed. What use was having companions if they weren’t willing to take chances? As always Cersei struggled with the idea that these were her childhood friends, but that they were first put in place by her Aunt Genna and likely reported much of her adventures. She was still pretty convinced that it was Jeyne who had reported Cersei and Jaime switching places every other day in his training.
She missed the physical exertion of swords play and the way she was able to hit the mark every time she released her bow string.
Still, it was her responsibility to soothe her companions when fearful.
“You will almost always be the highest ranking woman in the room, Cersei. One day, you will marry a Prince of Dorne if all goes as planned and only the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, her daughters, and the wife of the Prince will outrank you. You need to always be the calming presence for your ladies. They must never see your fear, because then they will remain calm and know all is well,” Joanna Lannister brushed Cersei’s hair back from her face in soft, strong strokes.
Her mother was always soft and strong. Cersei wanted to be just like her when she married and took over her own household.
“I heard father say he wished me to marry Prince Rhaegar, Mother,” Cersei answered quietly.
Her mother’s hands froze for a second, but then she began her strokes anew.
“Your father thinks he can sway Aerys, yes, but I fear, little light, that Aerys will only seek to enrage your father. Lions were not meant to marry Dragons, my daughter. Remember that, if you remember nothing else. We may work in service, even be close in friendship as I was once to Queen Rhaella, but we must never join with the dragon,” Joanna whispered, “I would not have my little light burned by a dragon’s fire.”
Cersei spun around again and squeezed her companion’s hands.
“You need not fear my father, Jeyne,” Cersei assured her, though she also felt her very heart tremble at the idea of being caught.
They continued into the forest, following the stream till it ended in a pretty little waterfall, before tipping deeper into the forest than Cersei had ever traveled. They found Maggy the Frog’s house tucked into a dark clearing, behind a small pond. Moss grew over the old stone and the roof was thatched.
Badly, Cersei noted to herself. There were holes and water gathering in a way that her father would never have allowed Lannisport to weather.
Her mother would have cared about the witch in the wood, but her father would likely burn her out if he realized she was here.
“I…,” Jeyne stuttered and Melara and Cersei turned.
Jeyne wrenched her hand from them and looked around with wide, frightened eyes.
Cersei nodded and gave a slight shoulder shrug, “Walk back to the water, Jeyne. Melara, go with her. I will speak to this Maggy the Frog and come meet you.”
Jeyne barely dipped a slight curtsy to her liege’s daughter, before lifting her skirts and running back the way they came. Melara gave Cersei a concerned look and Cersei thought she could see real concern. She motioned her away.
She waited till both girls were gone and turned back and set her shoulders with determination and marched up and knocked on the door. If her companion’s had stayed, Cersei would perhaps have marched in with no regard to the owner just to show her seniority on her father’s land.
“A humble lady will always garner more loyalty among her compatriots than a prideful one,” her mother’s voice whispered in her ear.
“The lion does not lay down and sleep with the sheep,” her father followed.
“Come in, little lion child,” a voice called out and Cersei opened the door and softly stepped in, her boots already ruined from the walk.
“Are you Maggy the Frog?” she asked, forcing strength into her tone.
The woman cocked her head and Cersei was at least glad to find the woman did not resemble anything like a scary monster. In fact, she was quite boring.
“We wanted to see the monster,” Oberyn Martell said and Cersei rolled her eyes.
Everyone wanted to see her little imp of a brother.
“He’s just a baby. An ugly baby, but a baby,” Elia added and Cersei resisted the urge to snap back with a cutting remark.
He might be the curse upon her life, but he was her little brother and no one else was allowed to speak ill of a Lannister.
No one understood that Tyrion was a monster because he killed her mother, not because he was a misshapen little thing.
“Often go into your thoughts, girlie? I’m the one you call Maggy the Frog and I assume you’ve come to hear your future?” the woman said.
Cersei’s eyes widened. That, however, was not boring.
“Yes. I have. My father and aunt say I am to marry Prince Rhaeger, but my mother wished me to marry Prince Oberyn, though my father refused the Princess of Dorne. I want to know if I am to marry the prince and one day be Queen? How many children will I have?” Cersei eagerly stepped forward.
She would love her children and they would love her. They would never fear to whisper their secrets, hopes, and fears.
Maggy the Frog tilted her head and stared at her before reaching down and pulling a small dagger from beside her. Cersei took a step back, fear dogging at her step, before forcing herself to stand tall again.
“This is my father’s land and if you harm a hair on my head then he will gouge your eyes out and you will not see any future again, certainly not your own,” Cersei said coldly and startled when Maggy tilted her head back and laughed uproariously.
“Oh, little lion girlie, you are quite the opposite of what I saw for today as it is. Let us see what else has changed. A little taste of your blood girl to be able to see what is going to happen. To see if gold crowns and cold shrouds no longer lay across the lion spawn,” the woman explained and held the knife hilt out.
Cersei took a deep breath and stepped forward to take it. She laid it down easily onto her thumb and gave a slight whimper when it cut into her skin and blood welled to the top. She went to hold the knife back out, but found herself being yanked forward and her finger in the witches mouth.
Cersei had barely had time to react before she was released and she cupped her hand to her chest.
“Three questions, girlie, but most do not like my answ…” the woman made a sudden sharp noise and gripped at her head, gasping for breath, and Cersei started to move forward to help her.
The woman suddenly sat up and completely still, eyes shut, and back ramrod straight.
“Maggy?” Cersei whispered, fear starting to creep into her.
Maggy’s eyes flew open and Cersei gasped at the milky white expanse that existed where muddy, dark brown eyes had.
“The song of fire and ice comes, and nothing will stop the stag from killing the dragon. The wolf brother of the stag will help without knowing, without seeing. The wolf’s sister will die so their son may live. The gods give another choice not given before, eyes were open, but could not see. Winter comes, winter comes, and the wolves must live. A Queen she shall not make, but a mother of a King she shall be. Remember, learn, live, and roar. The Lioness will triumph if the last dragon son thrives,” Maggy gasped and then she collapsed.

You were good at hiding your emotions.
This wasn’t something that you were appreciative of, you were ashamed. You wish that you could express how you genuinely feel without being terrified that someone would take advantage of your vulnerability.
But that’s just how life works when you grow up in a toxic household, with a mother that isn’t the friendliest.
“Y/N?” Peter spoke, causing you to return from your trance.
“If you aren’t going to take this seriously then you can just leave.” He puffed, flipping back and forth between pages, searching for an answer.
“I-I’m sorry.” You mumbled.
The two of you were currently studying for your midterms in Peter’s room. He was sitting at his desk, books sprawled everywhere while you sat on the carpeted floor, back pressed up against the wall.
“I can’t find the answer to question 32, did you?” He asked.
“No, I didn’t. I’m sorry.” You replied, weakly.
Peter huffed as he flipped the pages aggressively.
“What is it?”
“It’s just-” He hesitated, “I don’t understand why you come over here every day and just sit there and do nothing.”
You felt a pinch in your heart as he let out his frustrations, “I’m sorry.”
“And stop apologizing!” Peter struck his fist down on his desk, causing you to recoil.
He noticed how you inched away from him, “I shouldn’t have done that, I’m sorry.”
“No, you’re right,” You took a deep breath, “I’ve been in my head a lot lately and I haven’t been the girlfriend that you need right now.”
“Not to mention I’ve been a terrible study buddy.” You laughed, Peter smirked.
“That doesn’t excuse the fact that I scared you.” He was disappointed in himself. For a split second, he forgot about how sensitive you are.
“How about we take a little break? We can go out and get something to eat and maybe watch an episode of The Office?” You suggested as you stood up.
“I’m in work mode right now,” Peter watched your face for any signs of disappointment.
You nodded, glancing at the clock, noticing the time, “I should get moving before my parents notice that I’ve been gone this long.”
You bent down and began to place all the science and math textbooks into your bookbag.
“You should spend the night. May won’t mind, she loves having you over.”
“No, it’s fine.” You reassured but, Peter didn’t look satisfied.
“Hey, hey,” Grabbing his arms, you wrapped them around your waist, placing your head on his shoulder, “It’s okay, I promise.”
You stood in each other’s embrace for a few moments, finding harmony in each other’s presence.
Peter’s mind is always going 100 miles per hour, especially right now with the stress of midterms and having to make time to patrol the city. The both of you were dealing with stress and being able to have a few seconds of tranquility made all the difference.
“I’ve gotta go.” He released you from his clutch.
“Text me when you get home?”
“Of course.”
“I love you.” He beamed.
“I love you.”
--
Sneaking into your house is way harder than sneaking out. Having to avoid not only your parents but your loud dog that gets super excited when she sees you.
Throwing your bag on your bed, you climbed through your window, careful not to slip on any of the toys scattered on the floor.
Everything had been calculated so that your mother and father would eat dinner while your dog begged at their feet, so you come out of your room and claim that you had been taking a nap.
But not everything goes according to plan. Your parents never let the dog out of your room so, she was lying in your bed instead of on her own. She felt your bag hit the bed and shot up, beginning to bark.
“No, no, no!”
It was pointless trying to get her to stop because you could hear the harsh footsteps on the way to your room.
Your mom stood in the doorway, arms crossed as she leaned against the frame. The tension increased by a tenfold. Your confident stature depleted with every second that passed.
“You know, if I’m going to pay for this room, I expect it’s going to be used, right?”
“Yes,” You’d learned that she’ll make it easier if you agree and don’t antagonize her.
“So, when you’re not in here, it tells me you aren’t using it.” She spoke, malice laced within her voice, “Do you want to live here?”
“Yes.” You responded.
Your mother nodded her head, “If you sneak out again, I’ll see that you don’t have a room to come home to.” She sent you a passive-aggressive smile and slammed your door.
You let out a sigh of relief, even though she just threatened to kick you out if you snuck out to see Peter again. The exchange had gone better than most nights, presumably because it was too early for her to drink.
Flopping on your bed next to your dog, you let her give you a couple of kisses before pulling your phone out of your back pocket and sending Peter a message.
You: Hey! I’ve made it home.
Peter: Great. Still studying :(
You: Keep pushing!! I’ll make sure that I help next time
Peter: Any problems?
You: Nope :)
Peter: Good.
Peter: Wanna retry this study date tomorrow at 6:30?
You: Yep, see you then <3
“Shit.” You huffed.
--
You were asking to get thrown out. Here it was, 6:00 pm, and you were crawling out of your window as if your mother didn’t threaten you with eviction less than 24 hours ago.
As you strolled toward the Parker’s apartment, you thought of how your foolproof plan could go wrong. Would your dog bark again, or would your mom be waiting in your room as soon as you arrived?
“Hey,” Turning your head, you saw none other than Peter Parker send you his alluring smile.
“W-What are you doing out here?” You questioned, eyebrows contorted in confusion.
Pulling his hands from behind his back, he displayed 3 bags of food, “I was picking up our dinner for tonight.”
“Dinner?”
“I thought we could scrap the whole studying idea and have dinner with May.” He revealed.
You tried your best to control your facial expressions and body language, not wanting to give Peter any signal that this would raise a problem.
“Sounds good.” You nodded.
“I’m so glad that we’re able to do this before I patrol. It puts me in a good mood before I go-”
“Kick some ass?” You interjected.
“Somethin’ like that.”
The rest of the walk to Peter’s apartment was filled with stories of the peculiar things that he would see while patrolling the city at night. Weird things that people tried to steal and the extravagant costumes people wore.
“A nightgown?” You asked as you entered his apartment.
“A nightgown,” Peter confirmed as he took your jacket, hanging it on the rack mere feet away from the entrance.
“Hey, Y/N!” May greeted, waving at you from the kitchen.
“Hey, May! So nice to see you again.” She emerged from the kitchen and gave you a small hug before turning her attention towards her nephew.
He handed her a receipt, and the placed the bags on the dining table, “Let’s eat.”
“So, Y/N, how’s school going? Someone has been studying like crazy.”
“School is going well. I think people are stressed with midterms, but I can’t wait until things get back to normal.” You explained, putting food onto your plate.
The conversation flowed nicely. It was easy to talk to Peter’s aunt because she was so understanding and non-judgmental, she had become more of a mother towards you than your actual parent.
“I guess it’s true that time passes faster when you’re having fun,” Peter spoke.
You looked at the clock, it was almost 9:45. It was at least a 30-minute walk back to your house
“Oh my. I’m sorry to rush out like this but, I have to get home before-” You paused, not wanting to say anything that would worry Peter or May, “This was fun we’ve gotta do this again.”
“Soon.” May smiled, watching as you grabbed your coat, frantically.
“I love you, Peter. I’ll text you when I get home.” With that, you exited the Parker’s apartment and rushed out of the building.
There was no way that your absence went unnoticed by your mother, now that she’s on high alert of you sneaking out. You had completely forgotten about checking the time. There was something about the Parker’s that made your problems seem so minuscule to the point where you didn’t even think about them.
With every step you took, the pit in your stomach increased in size. Whatever destiny you had waiting for you at home, you didn’t want it. You wished that you could turn around and go back to Peter’s apartment and exchange funny stories with him and his aunt.
But you can’t outrun fate.
When you reached your window, you were faced with 3 black trash bags and a note, “I warned you.”
“Fuck,” You sobbed, “She fucking kicked me out.”
You always knew that your relationship with your mother wasn’t the best but, you loved her and you assumed that she loved you too. You didn’t even want to imagine what feelings she harbored towards you if she could throw you out with ease.
You opened the bags and saw your clothes, materials for school, and a few miscellaneous things. There was no way that you could carry all of this stuff, it was way too heavy and you didn’t own a car.
“Y/N, what’s going on?” You heard someone say from the roof.
The first thing you noticed was the colors red and black and knew exactly who it was, “What are you doing here?”
“Y-You rushed out of my house like we had a disease or something, I knew something was wrong.” He explained.
You couldn’t see under his mask but it didn’t take a genius to know that he was confused, “What’s all this?”
“Pete, I think I’m in trouble.” You croaked, your eyes were red and blurry from crying.
He came down from the roof and instantly embraced you in a hug. You let a sob escape your throat as he held you, “Why didn’t you just call me? We could’ve figured something out.”
You sighed, “I’m not your responsibility. Plus, you have all of this stress on you and-”
“Did you think that I’d turn you away or something?” He questioned, taking off the mask covering his face so that he could look you in the eyes.
“Look at me,” Peter gently took your face in his hands, “I know that you grew up thinking that you are a burden but you’re not.”
“Do you remember when I was distant from everyone for months after Uncle Ben?”
You nodded.
“You were the person that restored me to normal. No one asked you to but you did, remember that?”
“Yeah,” You sighed, resting your face in his palm.
“We’ll figure this out together.” Peter reassured, caressing the back of your head as he pulled you into yet another hug.
“Together?”
“Together.”

Rasputin- Bucky Barnes x Oc {Marvel}
My first one-shot yay!!! warning it is a bit short ill try to make my others longer
I usually write one-shotes based on songs and songs will be written like this
.
"Aunt Nancy can you tell me a bedtime story, please?" asked five-year-old Morgan Stark.
"I don't know my stories aren't really good little iron," spoke Nacy tucking in her goddaughter tiredly from a long day of babysitting her.
"Please, I love your stories," asked Morgan with puppy dog eyes.
"Fine, I'll tell you a story, which one do you wanna hear," answered the girl's godmother Nacy.
"One you told me last time please!!!" Morgan
Nancy rolled her eyes at the small girl's excitement and began her story.
"There lived a certain man in Russia long ago.
He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow.
Most people look at him with terror and fear."
At the same time, Bucky Barnes was walking to his and Nancy's little home tired from a long day with Sam, having saved some civilians here and there.
Bucky looked around noticing his girlfriend to not be seen nor the girl they were supposed to be babysitting. Until he heard a little laugh from their guest room he went to investigate and when he got there he saw that his girlfriend was telling morgan a story, not wanting to disturb them he stood at the door listening to the story.
Ra-Ra-Rasputin.
Lover of the Russian Queen.
There was a cat that really was gone.
Bucky smiled to himself the story Nancy was telling morgan was one he never knew of but yet again his girlfriend had quite the imagination.
Ra-Ra-Rasputin
Russia's greatest love machine
It was a shame how he carried on
Bucky started going back to the couch quickly as he didn't want to get caught listening to the girl's conversation. When he sat down Nancy came down from the guest room and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water when she noticed he was home.
"Oh yay your home, Pepper called she'll pick up morgan tomorrow at 2 only if that was okay with us and me being the nicest person ever I said yes hope that was ok I didn't check with you cause I knew you were busy, anyway how was your day," she spoke quickly in one breath walking towards the couch and sitting beside him.
Bucky chuckled at her behaviour "It was good, I heard you telling a story to morgan while you were putting her to bed."
"y-y-you did?" Nancy studdered
Bucky chuckled, "No need to be nervous doll I thought it was cute, who was the story about."
Nancy placed her glass on the coffee table, " Well the story was about you, course changed it up a tad for Morgan so she wouldn't think it was you. We don't her thinking of her Uncle Bucky of some person like that." Nancy answered which Bucky nodded to excepting her answer.
"What?!?!"
Startled by the noise Bucky and Nancy turn around to the source to find Morgan sitting on the stair wide-eyed by the discovery she uncovered, that her favourite bedtime story told from Aunt Nancy was about her Uncle Bucky.
Welp here it is my first one-shot and it's trash hope you enjoyed it. Write a request in for one-shots you want me to write, I write for a whole bunch of characters also follow me one wattpad I post one-shots on there and other stories.

(THIS WAS A SHIT STORY I MADE AND POSTED ON WATTPAD, YES I KNOW ITS TERRIBLE IM SORRY IN ADVANCE FOR THOSE WHO ARE READING THIS)
(a/n there are misspellings and shit but I don't care)
Tumblr media
Peter, bucky, and Steve were best of friends since kids, they were the best of friends anyone had ever seen. And although the two would never admit it, Bucky and Peter thought of each other as more than friends, they had feelings for each other but they were both scared of what the other would think. After all, that type of love wasn't allowed. Everyone said that being gay was a sin, but they didn't think so, the two just wanted to love each other. And it went on like this for years, both males hiding their feeling for the other. The best part was that most people could tell they were in love, Sadly the two never got to tell each other how they felt before the 'Accident, Peter and the rest of his family died, he had only recently turned 19 went it happened. Bucky was devastated, not only did he lose his best friend, but he also lost his love. But something told him that wasn't the end, he didn't know why- but he believed it.
***
It's currently 4:57 am, the team was called down for an emergency intruder alert.
They expected some kind of big threat but instead, it was a 'teenaged' boy, maybe 17 in black and red spandex, but that wasn't even the strangest part. they realized the suit that was hugging his body had the hydra symbol printed across his back and chest, and all hell broke loose. Four of them were yelling and getting into their battle stance, while Natasha stood trying to get answers from The super-soldier who went by Captain America. And in all honesty, the guy was scared, of course, he could easily take on all of these people, but doing that would only let his monsters win.
He came here for help but instead, everyone was freaking out. It was starting to aggravate him, the only person here that he knew was The star-spangled man, and Steve hadn't said a word to the boy. No one had, it's just been yelling. The only one to really observe the boy had been a redhead suited in black.
"Guys-"
They kept going and ignored the woman. So the red-headed woman yelled and stomped her foot.
"Would you please shut the hell up!?" She growled.
"if you guys would stop and pay attention, you'd notice that the kid hasn't even engaged in combat yet." She shook her head, visibly disappointed in the others. "You haven't even given him a chance to talk, and he looks Young, probably terrified."
The woman gave him a small glance before glaring back at the others.
The four put that heads down and nodded, the man with the arrows looked like he wanted to say something but one glance from the angry hero shut him up.
The room got quiet. They were unsure what to say, they didn't want to trigger the boy (or the black widow)
Finally, Steve put his hand out and waited for the boy to take it.
"Sorry for the commotion, Steve Rogers. And you are?"
The boy shook the man's hand as quickly as possible. He made sure not to look the man in the eyes so he wouldn't get punished. As soon as he shook it he walked further from the man.
"паук."
They looked at the boy in confusion, what kind of name was that-
Natasha moved closer to the boy, she tried to put a hand on his shoulder but he quickly shut down.
He dropped to the ground and gave a knee.
"извините, мэм, накажите меня, как хотите." He spoke frantically.
She looked at him, why on earth would he- never mind, he's been in hydra's hands for God knows how long.
"Нет, вставай, паук." Natasha made sure to speak slowly. She could see the potential this guy had, fighting him is not something they can do without having to call damage control after. He was strong, she could tell.
паук scurried to his feet and apologized. The rest of the team stood behind Black Widow as if they were hiding from a wild animal, and Natasha was controlling the beast. Bruce wasn't scared as much as the others, normally he would be but the big guy wasn't out. Maybe the Hulk doesn't see the intruder as a threat. If big green was okay with him shouldn't they?
The only thing visible on паук's face was his Bambi eyes that we're glued to Steve. паук slowly walked over to the Captain, he took his mask that covered his lower face and ripped it off. Steve paled and he felt tears prick his eyes. It was impossible, but that's what he thought about bucky yet his best friend was still sleeping four floors below them. But everyone saw it, the house exploded, the were no survivors, hell they found AND confirmed his body. But the man who stood in front of him was none other than Peter Parker.
"P-peter?"
'Peter' looked more scared than Captain America, he had never heard the name Peter, yet when the words left caps mouth he felt something inside him click. He remembers this man. This man is Steve Rogers! Peter smiled, "Я тебя знаю!Я действительно!" Steve gave him a sad smile, no one knew what he was saying except for Natasha, but Peter didn't know that. He thought they were scared.
Natasha walked up to him yet again and did as she did before. This time she smiled, which is something she doesn't do often. When Natasha put her hand on his shoulder he didn't kneel he just looked at her with hope in his eyes, he wanted help. Natasha gestured to the others and then looked at Peter, "Ты знаешь английского паука?" He nodded.
"H-hello."
They waited for him to continue.
"I'm The "Dancing Spider", but the guards just call me Spider as you can tell I escaped hydra. I think something went wrong- first they were wiping my mind, next I had memories coming back and, " he motioned to Steve, "he was in them. I waited until I was given my next mission to run, that's the only time I'm allowed outside for... Reasons. But there were others from my what I seen. A family, and...and ag this guy- but... I only remember his eyes- and hair- but he um... He called me Doll!
He stopped and looked down, it was like he was too ashamed to continue. And maybe it was because he was. in the flashback, there were three people, him, Steve, and someone else. The other person had dark brown hair and steel blue eyes. He's was taller than both peter and Steve, but Steve was much, much smaller.
The 'teen' had stopped talking for a while so Steve started asking questions, "Pete- sorry, Spider? Do you remember how old you are?" Peter lifted his head up and slowly nodded. "Twenty-three." That's all he said, his mind was still on the mystery guy. Why? Why was he so damn important to him? It made him mad, how can he be so valuable to peter yet he has no idea who he is!? But then again, there's a lot of people peter can remember. But Steve was taken back- four years, peters had four years of his life stolen from him. But for those who knew him, it was much longer.
"Do you remember May and Ben?" Steve quietly questioned.
Then some things flooded peters head that was probably best forgotten, his aunt and uncle, their dog, then the explosion. The one that he started. But he didn't want to, of course, it was his first mission, hydra made sure to replay the horrid memory. Over and over.
"So... He's not a kid?" The gold and red armor asked.
Peter looked shocked, and who can blame him? The iron suit was talking, hydra might have had good tech but this was... Freaky. Peter put his hands up in fists ready to fight, everyone else got on guard ready to do the same."W-what the hell is that?" He stuttered.
The heroes calmed down after they have seen he was just startled. The glowing eyes that belonged to the iron suit stopped glowing and a man stepped out.
"Howard?" Peter questioned, then his eyes widened, he had unlocked a new memory.
While Peter was trying to piece together all of the things he could remember tony stood stiff, he hadn't heard that name in a while, and this guy knew his dad? God everything is confusing. He shook the thoughts away and looked at peter who had a puzzled look on.
"I'm actually his- his son."
Peter smiled a bit thinking about how much the two looked alike. "You just look so much like him! Did he build your..." He pointed to the Iron man suit, "that?" Tony shook his head and looked down, "No, um... Howa- my father- and Hydra- he's ah, he's dead..."
Peters face dropped and he felt another wave of guilt hit him."oh my God- did? Did I do it!?" He was on the verge of tears, why? Why was he a monster?
Tony walked over to peter and put a hand on his shoulder, peter backed away. "No! Please, I didn't want to I swear!" Tony looked at Steve for help, Steve had a look on his face that said he was thinking, his eyes widened. He walked out of the room and tony went back to peter.
"Hey, Hey kid look. You- you didn't do it okay?."
"..." Peter looked up.
"It's fine, you're okay," Tony explained. It wasn't the truth but what was he supposed to say 'oh don't sweat it! It was another hydra soldier!'
Peter took a step out of Tony's grasp and fell to his knees, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have come here. I'm just putting you all in danger!" He pulled his knees to his chest, why won't they just kill him already? That's what they do right? You break into a building and they don't attack you? That makes sense.
Nobody touched him, he just sat on the ground surrounded by people he doesn't know. It was quiet yet peter could still hear their heartbeats. The man with the glasses was calm, the redhead was calm as well, along with the man with the bow. The other two had strange heartbeats. The one with their glowing chest had a faint heartbeat but also a slight humming, the blonde with the hammer had a calm heartbeat but the rhythm wasn't a pattern, and it was loud.
Tony had walked away from the young adult because he had obviously made him uncountable again, this is why he leaves the comforting people thing to Bruce and Steve. None of them knew why Steve walks away, but they all wanted him to come back.
Peter felt the eyes on him so he wanted to make himself more comfortable before snapped at all the people who had nothing better to do than to stare at him, like seriously! He came here for help; they stare! The one person he knew ran off, and if Peter was him he'd run too! He sighed and stuck his arm in the air. The others looked at him with pure confusion, Peter rolled his eyes and shot a web up to the ceiling, his lip twitched as if he was smile, why? Well, the other watched in horror as he pulled himself up and positioned himself.
It had been a few minutes and Steve was still gone, Peter was still on his web trying to keep calm, and the other five were still staring at Peter. He'd be lying if he said it wasn't bothering him. "If you want to say something please say it, you're getting on my nerves with the pointless staring." He closed his eyes and allowed himself steady again.
"Do you really know Steve?" Asked Tony.
Peter flinched but kept his cool, "y-yes? Well I think, I remember him from some point in my life. We were friends I know that at the least but I also know there was someone else..."
Natasha was the second one to speak to him. He didn't mind though, Peter took a liking to her.
"Can you describe the other person?"
The spider let himself turn towards her. He let out a sigh. "I can but... Something tells me I won't see him again, by the looks of things I'm not in the '40s anymore, he's probably long gone, a family perhaps remember to him perhaps." He gave her a faint smile trying to hide the fact that he was disappointed in himself. Nat gave him a look that told him to go on.
"Well, he had dark brown hair and hair, and the most amazing blue eyes you've ever seen, I was close to him I know it but I just can't remember h-his name."
Peter let a single tear roll down his face, he smiled again then left his hands-free, so now he just relaxed as his body moved upside down.
He pointed to Bruce, "your doctor banner right?" Bruce sighed. "Yes, unfortunately, you probably have files on the other guy huh?" Said Bruce. Peter looked confused.
"Actually sir, the only person I know is Steven, however, I've read your books. Me being one of their best creations means I got 'special' treatment, so I was about a year ago I was given some books."
Bruce only nodded as a response. Everyone stood quietly as they watched Peter move gracefully, he switched back the position he was into before. This time he looked at the man with the arrows. "You want to know why I'm doing up here, right?" "How did you- never mind." Peter let out a breath and closed his eyes, "this is sort how I got my name, The Dancing Spider, that and when I fight 'it looks like a dance'. But I also do this as a way to calm down, and you people obviously don't know that staring makes people uncomfortable- not to mention it's rude" the five quickly tried to find something else to look at, "it's fine just a bit irritating, be staring too, I mean some dancing assassin shows up randomly, " he let himself fall. He walked towards the window and looked for the latch that would open it. "I've caused enough trouble, if I umm, if I leave now they won't go after me. Guards don't check cells until-" The elevator doors dinged as they shut again and two men walked up to the group.
"7:30, they don't make rounds on the A floors until 7:30." The other man said. Peter spun around to see Steve inspecting the web that hung from the floor, beside him was a man with dark brown hair that was just above his shoulders. Peter's dark brown eyes locked with the steel Blue ones. It was him- the man he had seen! The one who was so important to him! It was James.
The memories flooded back, from when they were kids, their days in high school, how he Peter had the biggest crush, god, peter liked him- no, he loved him.
Peter let the tears fall, he didn't care if he got punished for crying he had finally found his love! He smiled wide and started walking to the man.
"J-James?"
Buck nodded and walked towards Peter as well, they met halfway in the center of the room, bucky didn't care if the others saw that he was crying, he had been dreaming of the day that he'd see Peter again, of course, this isn't how he would have wanted it to go but it didn't matter. "Hey, Pete-" he didn't get a chance to finish his sentence before the smaller male jumped on him, arms wrapped tight around his neck. Bucky didn't want to let go. He finally got his best friend back, he had his love back.
They didn't care if the other we're watching, they'd rather them starting than be apart again. "I'm sorry- I am so so sorry James." Peter cried into the taller man's neck. The soldier pulled away so he could see his face, Peter looked up at him with tears rushing down his face. "For what, You did nothing wrong?"
"I never got to tell you that I loved you." Bucky's face softened, 'Peter always was the first to apologize for nothing' he thought. He pulled Peter in for another hug, his chin laid on the smaller's head. "Then do it now." Said bucky. Then he loosened his grip on peter. The spider looked up at him, visible shock displayed itself on his face.
"W-what?"
"I said do it."
Peter was shocked, as much as he hated it he thought this type of thing wrong, everyone said it wasn't right, no matter how much he wanted it to be right they told him it was bad. But Peter didn't care he wasn't gonna let them stop his feelings. He cupped buck's face with his hands, slowly pulling the other in, Peter kissed him. And of course, Bucky kissed him back, it was the most gentle thing either of them had felt in years.
The rest of the room (minus Steve) had no idea why they two were crying, or why Steve had brought Barnes he anyway. But they started to understand once they watched the two broken males interacted with each other, then they understood. Yes, they were broken- but they knew they were broken together.
The couple broke apart with a smile on their faces. Peter looked at Bucky, tears still streaming from his doe eyes, he smiled as he looked his love in the. eyes.
"James Buchanan Barnes, I love you. And I don't care what anyone else says- or thinks."
Bucky smiled down at Peter.
"Peter Benjamin Parker, I love you, and I have dreamed every night that I would see you again."
The pair smiled knowing that they finally were together again. But Peter let the worries set in as he thought about what hydra would do if they found him? He doesn't want to lose James again, what if they take James? Bucky felt his lover tense up so he hugged him tighter. "James?" "Yeah, Petey?" Peter let out a deep breath, "what if hydra comes back? I don't wanna loses you again, I don't think I could go through that again." Bucky kissed the top of peters head, knowing what it's like to fear hydra. "They haven't found me yet." "What?!" Peter asked. Bucky smiled sadly. He had been on the same floor as the dancing spider- yet he never would have thought he could be his love. "You know the other to soldiers on the A floor?" Peter shook his head at buck's question. "It used to be me, and somebody else... But they're dead, have been fo- how did you know what floor I was on?" He quickly asked, pulling away to look at the blue eyes that stared down at him. Bucky took off his glove and rolled up his sleeve. Peter's eyes widened at the sight of a shining metal arm, he brought his hand up to touch the cold metal.
"You're the Winter Soldier?"
Bucky nodded, his head nodded towards the web behind them.
"And... you're the Dancing spider?"
"Y-yea, sadly."
Bucky looked at him again, the look on Peter's face had no fear, he would have thought that the young man would regret saying 'I love you' but instead Peter and bucky had the same excepting look on their faces. Peter took a shaky breath and shut his eyes, "how?" Bucky looked at him, puzzled. The spider opened his eyes. Tears flowed from his eyes as they have been throughout the morning. "How did you do it? Hell, you're still doing it now! how can you stand here and stay strong knowing that if they find me they might find you too? How did withstand all of the fear and hide from them?"
Bucky pulled him closer, a sad but gentle smile on his face. He kissed peter softly on the lips before he looked his love in the eyes, "because I knew, somewhere my love was alone, and I wasn't going to give up until we were together, " he placed his flesh hand on peters face and wiped away from the tears with his thumb.
"I love you."
(EW- IM SO SORRY)
