Update:

Hey guys so it makes no sense for me to keep running this Tumblr so in one month I’m gonna delete it. But I will still be more active on Instagram and I will keep running my website which has undergone a redesign it’s now https://illest.site/work . IN MEMORIAM FOR DOOM: FROM MY PERIOD OF HIATUS OF GRIEVING, I'VE REALIZED THAT I'M RETIRING AS ILLEST THE KING SOMEONE WILL REPLACE ME I DON'T KNOW WHO, BUT I HAVE A COUPLE PIECES LEFT. BUT BESIDES THAT I LEARNED HOW LUCKY WE WERE TO EVEN SEE A GLIMPSE OF MF DOOM'S MUSIC AND LIFE. HE HAD GONE THROUGH SO MANY HARDSHIPS THROUGH OUT HIS LIFE AND HE COULD HAVE GIVEN UP BUT HE KEPT GOING FORWARD. HE FOLLOWED HIS HEART AND BECAUSE OF HIS MUSIC AND PERSONALITY HE INFLUENCED COUNTLESS OTHERS INCLUDING ME. MYSELF AND COUNTLESS OTHERS ARE EXTREMELY GRATEFUL THAT WE GOT TO HEAR FROM MF DOOM, VIKTOR VAUGHN, KING GEEDORAH, MADVILLIAN AND ZEV LOVE X. I HOPE THAT I CAN CONTINUE HIS LEGACY IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING DOOMILE AND YOU WILL FOREVER LIVE ON IN MY ART AND MY MIND.

I DEDICATE THIS ART TO DOOM THE HIP HOP MCCARTNEY

In Memorial For DOOM: It’s been one week since DOOM’s passing was announced and I’m still broken up over his death. But what can be said about DOOM that hasn’t been said already a million times, so I wanna talk about his personal impact on me. I’ve been listening to DOOM ever since I’ve been listening to music, first discovering him in 8th grade featuring on the song “November Has Come” and just knew there was something special about DOOM and wanted to listen to him more. I still remember Freshman listening to One Beer in my shitty health class and getting goosebumps. I remember sophomore year listening to DANGERDOOM on a almost daily basis. Then Junior Year getting into the all time legendary albums with MM FOOD and Madvilliany. Then this year senior year and starting college I would listen to this instrumentals grinding out projects and and then just listening to BORN LIKE THIS and discovering my all time favorite album by him. This album got me through this pandemic, this pointless election and just feeling powerless in the whole world. But this album taught me still fight for whats right but that you need to find your own happiness. This album had such a profound effect on me this year that inspired my whole “BORN LIKE THIS” series. One of my proudest accomplishments in art and I’m sad to see the villain who inspired me to do that pass away. Despite him being secretive about his personal life, he always came off that he always believed in himself but yet was so extremely humble, which is a skill I have struggled with my whole life. So he’s always been somewhat of an idol to me, which I know is silly but this villain got me through a lot of rough patches in my life. If my life was a soundtrack there would be a lot of DOOM on it. I pray for his family members, his wife and 4 kids. I know he’s in heaven with his brother Subroc and Son Ezekiel. Long Live The Villain.

UPDATE

FIRST I WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU FOR 100 FOLLOWERS, I APPRECIATE ALL THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING MY ART THIS LONG AND I FEEL EXTREMELY HUMBLED. I HAVE NOT BEEN POSTING AS MUCH AS I HAVE STARTED COLLEGE AND BEEN GOING OVER THE BASICS ONCE AGAIN. IN MY FREE TIME I HAVE BEEN FINISHING THIS PROJECT AND HAS BEEN TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED. IT WILL BE DONE BEFORE THE END OF THIS YEAR AT THE MOST HOPEFULLY. ALSO I WILL BE STARTING TO DO ANIMATION NEXT YEAR AND I HOPE TO POST SOME OF MY ANIMATIONS ONLINE.
