Anyways, I wanna talk about how the fell first x fell harder thing works with them, in my personal opinion.

Let's get it out of the way: Mobius fell first, Loki fell harder. I think most of the fandom agrees with this.

Mobius studied Loki's life. He's seen all the bad and even downright unforgivable things Loki is capable of.

But he's also seen Loki interacting with his family and the people of Asgard, how he never seemed to fit in, how there always seemed to exist an emotional wall between him and pretty much everyone that wasn't Frigga. He's seen vulnerable moments other people in Loki's life can only dream of knowing about.

As I said, something Mobius definitely noticed is the big emotional wall that exists between Loki and other people.

So the first thing he does when he gets a chance to talk to Loki is try to break down said wall, and he does that by pressing him with questions and pushing all the buttons possible.

"Do you enjoy hurting people? Do you enjoy killing?"

"I'll kill you."

"What, like you did your mother?"

It's a cruel tactic, and considering Mobius’s personality it's safe to assume he didn’t enjoy doing that, but it's what you're expected to do with prisioners at the TVA, and in this case, it works. Loki opens up, and it makes things easier.

I've seen a lot of people joke about how Mobius studying Loki is basically him having either a hyperfixation or being a fanboy with a little celebrity crush, and... yeah? That's pretty much it?

I mean, come on. Even though it was necessary to understand Loki to work with him, you can’t tell me Mobius wasn't genuinely interested in him too. Even in season one, when things were far from perfect and there was still trust to be built, he seems to think of Loki as fascinating/endearing sometimes, and did nice things for him without expecting anything in return, like giving him the daggers, complimenting him, just overall speaking softly whenever they're talking. He wouldn't do that if he didn’t see Loki as more than a variant he was being forced to work with.

All of this, paired with his reaction to the possibility of Loki having a thing for Sylvie, paints Mobius as the person who fell/noticed his feelings first for me. I personally think he pushed these feelings aside due to a "It would never work" train of thought, even before Sylvie.

As for Loki, while he obviously didn't trust Mobius at first, once they started spending more time together, he seemed to start feeling safe and comfortable around him to a degree that he had not felt with anyone else in a long time. He sleeps peacefully around Mobius, allows himself to be playful, and seems to genuinely appreciate the nice things I mentioned Mobius did for him.

But he's also a very traumatized person who hasn't felt genuinely connected to anyone in a while, so he obviously has no idea what to do with this, and the high stakes he's dealing with obviously don't help. He doesn't have time to sit down and process how he truly feels about this random analyst that just came into his life and flipped it upside down. And even if he had the time, would he even manage to accept he was falling for someone? We're talking about Loki here.

This is where the biggest difference between their situations shines for me: Mobius had a long, boring time to think of Loki before even meeting him in person, and even when they did meet, he was dealing with less shit than Loki. He had time to think about Loki, come to a conclusion about his feelings, and make the conscious choice to not act on them/push them aside.

Loki was thrown on the TVA shortly after the events of Avengers, watched a tape of his entire life play before his very eyes, had to learn everything about the TVA and timelines and then met Sylvie and the other variants. It's not that he didn’t reciprocate, he simply didn’t have time to process his feelings.

Personally, I can see him having a moment of realization at the end of season one, when he realized how desperate he was for Mobius's comfort after being kicked through the door by Sylvie, and when the horror of Mobius not recognizing him set in.

And that's what I mean when I say he "fell harder": it's not that he loves Mobius more, it's that Mobius developed and accepted his feelings slowly, while Loki's feelings hit him like a train at the worst time possible.

I read the first, I don't know, 30 or 40 Thor comics once. Probably a few years ago during my last comics hyperfixation. What I do remember from it is that the original Thor comics gave Thor an alter ego in the form of Dr. Don Blake. And for whatever reason, I kind of like that.

I also think the origin itself is fascinating. Dr. Don Blake is a probably 20 to 30 year old doctor with a limp leg (although he could be in his 40s, I wouldn't remember if they gave him an age) who travels to Norway on vacation. While in Norway, he stumbles upon a cave with a walking stick and realizes he can transform into Thor using this walking stick (really a transformed version of the hammer Mjolnir). And I think it's a shame nobody ever goes back to Dr. Blake. Because think about that origin. When I do, it see only two possibilities, both ripe with interesting story possibilities.

Option 1: Dr. Blake is an ordinary human who just happened to find Thor's hammer in its secret hiding place. This would be interesting because it would mean Thor is kind of possessing Doctor Blake's body whenever they transform. It reminds me of the Kane Chronicles, and how humans could channel the spirit of a god and share a body and mind with them. This option really reminds me of that.

Option 2: Equally as interesting is option 2, the option I think they went with. In option 2, Thor is exiled from Asgard. Odin erases his memories and puts him on earth under a new name and identity. Namely, the identity of doctor don blake. For this option, I am assuming Odin would have given Doctor Blake original memories (because I highly doubt Odin would put turn Thor into a baby and wait around for 20-30 years to bring him back to Asgard). But if he didn't turn Thor into an actual baby, that means he probably gave Don Blake (this 20 or 30 year old doctor) a set of fake memories. Think about that. Don Blake presumably had memories of a childhood never lived, of a family that never was, of a life that never truly was. When Don Blake learned he was just created to serve as a vessel for Thor, that must have really hurt. I bet an existential crisis occurred that day.

Considering Don Blake had an established medical practice and probably had his own set of memories distinct from that of Thor, I imagine Don Blake and Thor really were like two seperate people sharing one body. I imagine them as two distinct people, at any rate. And it's a shame nobody has done anything with Don Blake or this whole sharing a body concept since the 70s or 80s (it feels like). There's so much potential here, if only people had stopped to realize it.

If the avengers from earths mightiest heros (not the MCU cuz I don't like it)had a YouTube channel

The thing is is that they are all sharing the same channel and will just post their own thing. No one's does playlists so it's an absolute mess

Fans have to sort through and make their own playlists to make any sense

The other thing is that Janet is the only one who really knows how to edit so they just send the files to her and it'll eventually get done

Eventually meaning when she hyperfixates on it and will edit like 30 and post them all at once

So it's a whole meme that there will be nothing and then dozens in one day.

However sometimes the avengers don't wanna wait to get it edited so they'll post the raw footage and it's terrible

America Isn't Chicken

Seems like the perfect time, then, for Tony to try and fuck it all up with a stupid game of gay chicken. Meanwhile, as if he didn't have enough to worry about, Tony realizes some kind of supervillainous trouble is brewing when increasingly advanced armors start popping up all over Manhattan, looking strangely reminiscent of his tech. On the other side of the world, Steve gets news that Zola is on the move in Russia, with some sort of nefarious plan at work.  Which will ruin them first? Will it be this unknown armored villain who is after Tony's tech? Or will it be Zola unleashing his mysterious plan on the world? Or will Steve and Tony prove to be their own worst enemies, destroying the tentative truce they managed to forge with their own stubbornness?

Notes: this fic was my jam and I read it soooo many times. I love all the denial and temptation and angst!! Also: mega hot.

Notes: This is the series that introduced me to the term "demisexual" and is what led me on the journey of exploring asexuality. I identified as demi myself for a while until I finally accepted my full ace-ness, but I learned a lot along the way, and it was all thanks to this fic. Plus all the inner turmoil and internalized homophobia?? This series is a GEM if you like extended suffering and true love overcoming all.

Blackbird

Notes: not gonna lie, this is very messed up but also very hot. I've truly read this fic to death. (Time for a reread? Probably!)

Out of the Deep

Stay away from the light-beds. Stay in the deep. It is the first thing hatchlings are taught the moment their fans unfurl and they can swim without their parents to buoy them along. It is the first rule, the first law. It is the beginning of every boogey-monster bedtime story told when they settle against the cliffs to sleep. Castiel should have listened better.

Notes: AUs don't always draw me in, and they certainly didn't several years ago, but this fic is so special. There is so much thought and care put into the merfolk world/culture, and how a relationship could unfold between a human and a merman. It is a very long and beautiful journey between these two.

Though the Truth May Vary

Welp it's been many months and my fandom hyperfixations that tumblr needs to know about are back

What if I said 🤨 I was kinda making a fic 🤨🤨 and only the first chapter has been up for weeks but I'm back in the feels again and instead of writing I'm gonna make a soundtrack to my fic and talk about them all 🤨🤨🤨

The fic is an oc (kinda a reader-) x howard stark and both Loki??? Reader* is asgardian and grows up on asgard, until they get into trouble with Loki and cover for him, leading to them getting exiled. Inspired by "where mischief lies". Then about a hundreds years later they meet steve and bucky, and then howard taking the place of maria. It follows the fanon plot of the normal mcu with a few tweaks to add in my oc lore and for it to be a fix it no one dies fic. Throughout the series secrets, prophesies and relationships will be uncovered and put through the rest. Will they all survive?

I'm bad at summaries but the fic is And It All Leads Back To You on wattpad. Ironically enough only the prologue chapter is up but who cares. Many queer headcanons and reader/oc may or may not be explicitly bi or nonbinary but will not be straight and will use they/them. They will be afab but that won't be an important detail until they become tonys mother

*it's an oc, again kinda, because they take the place of freya in norse mythology and im take the russo brothers route by being minimally lore accurate but I did find many norse myth info to put in here. When they're exiled to earth, they gotta go by a different identity and that's when it'll be y/n, until they can go back to being freya

Coming Clean (At Least I'm Trying)- Fandom: Supernatural. Pairing: Destiel. Alternate ending to s15, where Castiel struggles with his new humanity and Dean struggles with his nascent sobriety. They both try to make their new relationship work. Features Jack and Sam in big supporting roles. Multi chapter, some already up on AO3 here. I lost half of the next chapter because my computer crashed, and I have been struggling to get back into it.

Blood Brothers- Fandom: MCU. Pairing: Winterfrost. The sequel to my fic Pieces of Me Fit Pieces of You. AU: Canon-divergent after Thor: Ragnorak, ignoring credit scene. Loki and Bucky adjust to life in New Asgard, the people who love them adjust to each other, and the shadow of the Mad Titan looms on the horizon. Features Einar, the best horse ever, and many Avengers in supporting roles. I don't have anything posted yet, but I've outlined a lot of it. Hyperfixation brain has not let me work on this in a while.

The Autobiography of Una Chin-Riley- Fandom: Star Trek. Pairing: Garashir. After Julian's augmentations are revealed, Garak comes to him with a most interesting book. Intended to be a one-shot where Garak and Bashir discuss eugenics and civil rights, and what effect the legacies of both Una and Khan had on Bashir's decision to join Starfleet. I have about 1300 words of this so far.

Killing Time and Killing Dads- Fandom: The Flash CW. Pairing: Coldflash, pre-relationship. Canon-divergent AU where after Zoom kills Henry but before Barry creates Flashpoint, Snart appears on the Flash's radar and the two discuss fathers, failures, and the things they can't change. I've been mulling this over for a while but haven't written it. It would probably be a one or two shot. If you want to know my voices for these characters, check out my other fic that also has Snart being around for Henry's death. I guess I just like the concept.

Untitled Bashir War fic- Fandom: Star Trek Pairing: none focused, but probably light Garashir because I can't help myself. I watched Band of Brothers recently, and the episode "Bastogne" prompted me to consider the toll being a battlefield medic took on Bashir, and meditate a bit on how little war has really changed through the centuries. I have 1100 words so far. I need to rewatch a few Dominion War episodes to make sure I don't have any glaring contradictions in my Star Trek medicine.

Not any particular fic, but some of my usual light stuff you might find in my "Sam Writes Stuff" tag- things like Garashir reacting to stuff, random head canons that may or may not become fics later, various fandoms. Most likely to be Arrowverse Flash, Star Trek, Dragon Ball, Supernatural, or Batfam.

I finished the main story of Control this week and the Ashtray Maze blew my goddamn mind so I've had Take Control by Old Gods of Asgard on repeat all week. One of the coolest experiences I've had in a videogame.

Currently Watching:

I don't watch a lot of TV honestly (my gf and I have been trying to finish a watch through of Supernatural for almost 3 years now 😂) but I've been doing a rewatch of Critical Role Campaign 2!

Current Obsession:

I'm in between obsessions/hyperfixations at the moment, last 2 months were super busy for me with working overtime and going on vacation and then immediately moving so I'm only just now having free time again.

Horizon is always an obsession though, considering doing an Ultra Hard No Skill run of HZD in the nearish future on stream.

I'm currently playing through Control, finished the main story the other day but have a lot to do yet with that yet!

I'm also super patiently waiting (/s) for Baldur's Gate 3 to come out on PlayStation and I just know that's gonna take up all my brain when I get my hands on it.

Currently Reading:

I don't read very much these days. It's something I'd like to correct but not a high priority right now. However, on vacation I read Ancillary Mercy, the final book of the Ancillary Justice trilogy, which I highly recommend!
