Title: Gothic Mood Swings
Fandom: Tokyo Revengers
Pairing: Bonten x Pregnant Goth Omega Male Reader
Warnings: Swearing, and mentions of punishment (not like that y'all)
Tumblr media
The guard gulped as the phone rang. Nervous sweat sliding down his face. He knew this was a bad idea but they didn't know what else to do! Soon a click was heard. Nothing was said for a moment until deep voice was heard, "Speak." The guard nervously cleared his throat. "Sir. He closed himself in his coffin and we can't get him to come out."
There was a sigh from the other end. "What happened?" "He tried hanging upside down but got caught up in his morning sickness and got sick everywhere. He then got hungry and searched the cabinets and after not finding what he was looking for, closed himself into his coffin instead of laying in his nest." There was a humming sound and the sound of papers being shuffled.
"Alright we'll be back soon. So keep an eye on him until we get back. Understood?" The guard nodded and quickly agreed as the call ended. The guard let out a sigh of relief. Knowing he won't get too punished for calling his boss. I mean it was for the safety of their Omega and future pup. So hopefully the punishment won't be too bad.
~
Mikey ran a hand through his hair letting out a deep sigh. He had so much paperwork that needed to be done, but his Omega and pup were more important to him. Mikey carefully got up and texted the others to let them know they were needed at home.
On they're way home they made a few pitstops. One at a nesting store. Then next stop was at a store their Omega frequently visited. Finally they stopped at a restaurant their pregnant Omega has been eating so much of recently.
As they arrived at the mansion the pack lives in. Multiple guards met them outside. As they bowed the Bonten members made their way inside. When inside they took off their coats and shoes. Knowing their Omega worked hard on cleaning the mansion. They didn't want a repeat of last time.
Last time Takeomi has came in with muddy and wet shoes. Completely ruining the freshly cleaned floors. Their Omega had been so upset, he literally USED Takeomi to clean the floor. Like we're talking, used Takeomi as a mop to clean the floor. While it aroused most of the Alpha's, the others had be slightly horrified how their tiny Omega used a fully grown MAN, to mop the floors.
They didn't want a repeat of that. Especially Takeomi. After that they put away their shoes so nobody gets hurt. Mikey started up the stairs and the others quickly followed. Wanting to comfort their Omega. They know he's having a rough time with the whole pregnancy. It's been taking a huge toll on them all, but especially on him.
As they arrived to the door seperating the pack from their Omega, they could smell the annoyed pheromones coming from inside. Mikey shared a look with the ones holding bags for their Omega and motioned them forward. Kakucho, Mochi, and Rindou stepped forward.
Mikey carefully opened the door. Making sure they were all releasing calming pheromones. As they all entered there was a slient shuffle coming from the closed coffin in the middle of the room. Sanzu stepped forward and tapped a small rhythm on the lid of the coffin.
A few seconds passed beofre the coffin cracked open. A pair of (E/C) eyes peered through the crack. Sanzu bent down and chuckled. "Alright baby. Come on out. We know your upset. So we got you some stuff." He montions to the others who are holding bags.
The coffin fully opened and a gorgeous male with mid length (H/C) hair carefully sat up pouting. His (E/C) eyes sweeping past his Alpha's. He nods towards Kakucho who carefully placed the bag beside the coffin. Knowing it was warm and didn't want it hurting the Omega.
(Name) smelled the bag and hummed then carefully removed the food. He opened the box and smiled at the spicy yaskisoba inside. Then Mochi stepped forward and set and another bag by the coffin. (Name) carefully opened the bag and was welcomed with a fuzzy black blanket covered in his Alphas sents. (Name) smiles brightly and shoves his face into it taking a deep breath.
Finally Rindou reaches into his bag and held out a stuffed bat. (Name) perked up and quickly snatched it and finally started releasing happy pheromones. The others relaxed and smiled at the happy pregnant Omega. (Name) kissed Rindou's cheek and started purring happily.
Maybe they won't punish the guard for interrupting them today. Since they got to see their Omega happy and purring again. It feels like its been a while. After a few bites of food (Name) turned glaring at the now relaxed Alphas. "Now which one of you assholes has me always craving SPICY FOOD?!" They slumped. It was nice while it lasted.

Sensation's Rewrite Prologue
I decided to post the finished rewrite for the prologue here on Tumblr just so people can get a feel for some of the additions and for some new readers to hopefully look forward to when I'm done rewriting Sensation. Anyway, I hope you lovely readers enjoy it!
Tumblr media
Regarding human nature, morality is questioned in almost every decision they make. To survive in this world, they make so many drastically different choices that humans like to put into the vague terms of Good and Evil. Humans are also hypocritical creatures, acting on their selfish desires and beliefs. One person will choose and be seen as a good person, while someone else will make the same decision and somehow be seen as the bad guy. The lines are blurred so often that there never seems to be an actual line between those opposing sides. It's easier to call it a gray area, but only some people are satisfied with just that. Humans need constant reassurance that they are making the right choices. That they're the protagonists of their own story, and any minor inconvenience is the antagonist.
In the depths of a hidden world, behind the general public, those lines are more thought out and clearly stated. Forces beyond normal human comprehension exist and sometimes threaten their lives without them ever knowing. All because they don't harbor the necessary eyes to see it. Behind the scenes, the more or less good guys are Jujutsu Sorcerers. Those men and women have been born with the ability to see cursed spirits and can harness the cursed energy those spirits are made of to defend humanity from them.
As for the bad guys, it is easy to say that cursed spirits are the set-in-stone villains. They are primarily mindless beings that move on instinct. However, some have become more powerful and evolved to be able to think and even talk in some cases. They may even gain a humanoid form if lucky, usually only present in powerful cursed spirits. That said, it goes without saying that Jujutsu Sorcerers are not all harbingers of goodwill. Having powers no average human has can quickly go to the head. Even though this happens, you never see a cursed spirit trying to be a good Samaritan. Right?
I thought about what it would be like if that wasn't the case as I walked down the dirt path deep within the woods outside of town and headed to the tiny log cabin I called my home. Almost two decades ago, I opened my eyes for the first time. Born from nothing but the forest's foreboding, I took my first steps. I had wandered the forest aimlessly for days without knowing why I existed. The first few months after my alleged 'birth', I ran into my first cursed spirit.
It was small and looked more like a ball of flesh than anything else. When it had noticed me, it had coward away. Sensing something that I could not perceive myself at the time. Something compelled me to believe that somehow, we were the same species, or at least made of the same thing. Though, of course, at the time, I had no idea what a cursed spirit was or how they were made. It didn't take long for my curiosity to turn into panic once the cursed spirit realized I wasn't a threat and somehow bit my hand clean off. I don't remember what happened next, but when I came to, the curse was nowhere to be seen, and my hand was somehow back. After that, I made a conscious effort to stay away from cursed spirits. I was scared I was going to get attacked again.
About a month later, I finally found my way to town outside the forest. That was when I discovered what humans were. I didn't go down immediately, scared they would harm me like the curse did. I watched the humans go about their lives from the cover of the forest's darkness. For a bit, that was enough.
I was simply content on watching. Humans were so fascinating; they were of different shapes and sizes with similar forms. They were social creatures, I learned soon enough, and eventually, I longed to be down there with them. One day, I noticed a cursed spirit had wandered from the forest and crawled down to the town. That was when I first learned of the basic instinct of cursed spirits to prey on humans.
I desperately wanted to go down there and help, warn them of the dangers, but my fears had held me back. However, I didn't have to in the end, as a jujutsu sorcerer had been notified of the attack and had come swiftly to deal with the problem. They didn't sense me by some miracle, but I saw firsthand how strong they could be and how they killed cursed spirits without hesitation. I remember being scared to death at the thought of returning to the forest's edge after that, wondering If I would be the next one for the slaughter. Eventually, I gathered some courage and resumed my people-watching.
One day, by mere accident, I somehow changed my form. I barely noticed the change, but my eye level was lower than usual. I was suddenly shorter than I was initially. While wandering around the forest and eventually finding a river near where I live now, I was shocked to see a human face staring back at me. As embarrassing as it was, I thought a human was trapped under the water, unable to fathom that I could ever look like that.
However, after my initial panic to rescue said human, I realized that it was actually me that I was staring at. I remember a wave of relief washing over me to finally not see the monstrous face I had grown used to seeing in my reflection. Since that day, I never changed back. I traveled down to the town below that day with my new form. I had apparently taken the form of a five-year-old child, so the adults who had first noticed me freaked out when they saw me. I was caked with dirt, my hair was matted, and I was naked. Clothes, sadly, did not come with the transformation, though at the time, I didn't know the importance of clothes.
Before I knew it, one of the townspeople rushed me to their home and threw me into a warm bath. Scrubbing away all the dirt and grime before almost tearing my hair as they brushed the knots out. They had bombarded me with many questions, all worried for my well-being. It was overwhelming. Now that I think back on it, they probably thought I was abused and had been abandoned in the forest to die. After all, no 'child' looks like that if they came from a loving family.
However, at the time, I couldn't answer them even if I had wanted to. I didn't know how to speak or dress myself. I remember the look on an elderly woman's face when she noticed how confused I looked when she had given me a tiny dress that one of the other townsfolk had run out and bought for me. Her look of pure sadness at the realization that I didn't even know how to put clothes on will forever be ingrained in my memory. The townsfolk there at the time had spent a good few hours trying to get clothes onto me.
I had apparently struggled and squirmed so much that they had to hold me down just to put the dress on. When they were done, I finally looked like an ordinary little girl. After everything slowly settled down, the townsfolk decided what to do with me. Some tried to find my parents, though that was arduous since I didn't have any. They tried to take me in at some point, but I ran back into the forest. After all, that day was the first time I interacted with humans, and it was too much too soon.
The next day, after calming down, I returned to the town. The townsfolk had been worried and kept watch at the forest's edge. Only a few wanted to search for me in the forest because it was considered haunted. I wasn't surprised because of the number of Cursed Spirits born in it. That was when I met my Papa, a young man who had heard of what had happened and was the first person on the scene when I was spotted the next day.
He had asked me if I wanted to live with him, but the thought of him or anyone finding out about what I was, or another Jujutsu Sorcerer coming by, had ended in me, no matter how tempting the offer had been, outright refusing him. Even if it wasn't a dangerous offer, the forest had become my home, and I couldn't bear to leave it after all this time. After some discussion, they eventually decided I would join Elementary school. Before I could join, however, they had to set up a place for me to stay. So, some builders from the village ended up renovating an old abandoned cabin in the woods.
For the first year, one of the school teachers would walk up to the cabin and walk me all the way down to the elementary school. I would have dinner with the young man, who would walk me back to the cabin. The other kids in my grade had thought I was weird since I didn't talk, and eventually, a rumor circulated that I was an orphan. I didn't make any friends because of it. Over that first year, my form slowly changed, aging as if I were a human; after that year, I finally learned how to talk and, eventually, how to read and write. However, I had a terrible stutter whenever I did talk, as my vocal cords were not used to it.
About a month after I could talk a sentence, the young man brought something up during dinner one night. "So, what's your name, little one?" I looked up from my food to look up at him curiously. "M-m-my n-name?" I barely managed out. Ms and Ns at the start of words were the hardest to pronounce for me. "Yes, your name. A good little girl like you must have a wonderful name." I lowered my head to look back at the food, my hand tightening around the fork. "I don't have a n-name." Not long after I had said that the young man dropped his glass, causing it to shatter on the floor below; the noise made me flinch with how loud it was. "They didn't even give you a name?"
I knew he meant to whisper it, but his emotions got the better of him. It confused me; why was he so angry? Had I done something wrong? "I-I'm sorry." His head snapped back at me, and he quickly threw his hands up. "No, no! It isn't your fault. It will never be your fault. It's just.." He trailed off. "I'll tell you when you're older; let me clean this up, okay? You continue eating your food," I nodded softly as I ate. The young man was hunched over on the floor, cleaning up the shards of glass and the water that had spilled everywhere.
Once our plates had been emptied of food, I sat on one of the stools on the island in the kitchen while he washed the dishes. "So," He started. "Would you like me to give you a name?" My head perked up at that. A name? My own name? I couldn't help but shyly nod, giddy at the idea of receiving a name. He chuckled at my reaction and thoughtfully held his chin in his hands. "Hmm, I think I'll call you (Y/n), and for your last name, why not mine? From now on, you'll be (Y/N) Chibana." He grinned at me, "Awe- now that I think about it, I never told you my name earlier; sorry about that, kiddo, my name is Hisato Chibana. In my family, Chibana means 'A Thousand Blossoms.' You'll grow into that quite nicely. My little Hana."
That was the day my father officially adopted me. And he had wasted no time taking up his new role as my father. He was a patient man and never once got angry at me for my struggles to speak or if I was having trouble with my school work since I was starting school later than the other kids. Father had picked up everything and moved into the cabin in the woods with me not even two weeks after I started school. His neighbors had tried to stop him, warning him of the forest's dangers, but he simply smiled and said. "If I wasn't there for my daughter, then what kind of father would I be?" It was nice knowing he was there for me. It took me forever to properly warm up and see him as my Papa. I remember a day when he gave the principal an earful after he found out how some of the kids were making fun of the fact I was adopted since they couldn't exactly make fun of the fact I was an orphan anymore.
When we got home that day, he sighed deeply and ruffled my hair as he told me to help him prepare the ingredients for dinner. "Don't listen to them, my little hana. You just have a different circumstance than them, but that doesn't make them better than you. You are an amazing young girl. I couldn't have wished for a better daughter," Is what he had told me, with a warm smile on his face. It had made him look so bright. I had clung to his leg for the rest of the night.
When I turned eleven, my happy life with my father ended. It was the middle of class, and I sat alone at one of the tables. The classroom was situated where there were fewer students than tables, and since the students were allowed to sit wherever they liked, I was the only one at my table. The teacher at the front of the room was teaching us multiplication when the phone rang. She told us to all settle down as he headed to the back of the class to answer the phone. "Yes, hello? Yes. She's here..what?" I saw the teacher go pale as her eyes landed on me, and I immediately knew something was up. "Ok..yes, I'll tell her. Alright, goodbye."
The teacher hung up the phone."Chibana-San, please come with me." Everyone's eyes were on me as I slowly got out of my chair and followed our teacher out of the classroom. We didn't walk far, just to a different classroom that wasn't used at the moment; she sat me down at one of the tables. "Alright, Chibana-san, I must tell you some important news. It has to do with your father, Mister Chibana." I slowly nodded, my hands slightly shaking under the table as I feared the worst. "You see..while your dad was at work today, a little accident happened." The teacher looked at me with so much pity that I almost couldn't stand to look at her. "Is he ok?" I could barely hear my voice; I had spoken so softly. She shook her head, hanging low as she tried not to cry. After all, it wasn't every day you had to deliver news like this to an eleven-year-old. "Y-Your father got caught up in it, and he- he lost his life." In the end, she couldn't hold back the tears. And just like that, my world came crashing down around me.
Six years ago, my father died due to a workplace accident. They were working on construction, and some beams weren't tied correctly, so when the ropes gave way, my Papa was crushed under its weight when it fell. The information hit me like a ton of bricks at the time. The one person in my life who had helped me through each day, who cared about me, was gone forever. A week after his death, was when his funeral was held.
Papa was beloved in town. He was an upstanding citizen who loved to help people. Never failed to put a smile on everyone's face, so it wasn't a surprise that so many people had shown up. I can't remember a single person there that day besides my teacher, but I remember the heavy feeling in my gut each time they looked at me in pity. Whispering to one another how dreadful it was for me to lose my father so young, all while I was still in earshot. Others, the more superstitious, whispered how it was my fault, that I must have been a bad omen. My teacher led me away shortly after the comments started getting out of hand. Only when I got home did I finally cry, finally began to fully grieve his death. For the first time in years, I was alone again. I didn't leave his room for a good few days. Soaking his pillows with my tears, I eventually believed those comments were accurate. Everyone at school believed it, after all, which only worsened the bullying.
Back to the present, and out of my depressing thoughts, I set down the groceries I had bought in town by the door. A sigh escaped my lips as I dug around in my pockets for my house key before opening the door. I crouched down to pick up the groceries before entering the cabin. "Papa...I'm home," I called out into the empty house as I closed the door behind me and locked it. Moving into the kitchen, I set the groceries down on the counter. I heard tiny footsteps and smiled softly as I turned around."Yes, yes, I'm home, Rose."
A few feet away was a pure white angora cat with heterochromatic eyes. The cat's eyes were blue and yellow, which reminded me of jewels. As I often shortened it, Primrose, or Rose, appeared shortly after Papa died. It was about a month after the funeral, if I remember correctly. But I could remember the night Rose came into my life so clearly.
After another long day at school, I only wanted to cry in Papa's room. Middle School was already hard to get through with all the bullying; now that Papa was gone, it felt more like I was trapped in hell. I set my backpack by the sofa before returning to Papa's room. I collapsed onto the bed and let out a shaky breath. It wasn't long before the tears began to fall from my face.
Every time I cried over Papa, it felt like another part of me was dying. How could humans even handle emotions like this? Doesn't it just eat them from the inside out? My arms wrapped around his pillow in a vice. Holding it tighter and tighter with every wail that left my mouth. The pain in my heart was unbearable. The moon shone through the window onto my form, and at that moment, it felt like I was being set on fire. I didn't want the light on me. I didn't deserve it. Not after everything I've cau-
A drawn-out mewl from the window snapped me out of my thoughts. The sudden sound caught me off guard, and I sat up, forgetting my grief only for a moment. A pure white cat with a slightly fluffy mane was on the window sill. The cat's eyes shun like jewels against the moonlight, and my eyes widened at seeing its eyes being two different colors. Its left eye was a beautiful honey color, and its right eye was a light blue. All things considered, it was a beautiful cat.
Before I could speak, the cat jumped onto the bed, startling me further. It walked over, unafraid, and laid down in my lap. It looked up at me and stared. Despite my initial shock, a soft, somber smile graces my lips. "Are you all alone too?" I wiped my tears and gently petted the cat on the head; in response, the cat meowed back as if in reply. "what's your name?" I looked the cat over. "It looks like you don't have an owner..you must really be all alone.." I looked that cat over, "I think..I'll call you Primrose."
Primrose tilted her head slightly, looking at me with curiosity. I shook my head, 'I've done enough reminiscing for one day.' I crouched down and petted her. "Yes, I know, you're hungry. Don't worry; I got you your fancy tuna." A soft laugh left my lips as I rummaged through the plastic bags and got out a can of tuna. The only brand that Rose will eat is an expensive one, but I can't bring myself to not buy it for her. Rose helped me through a lot of the heartbreak of losing my Papa. Now, as a Fourth-year in high school, Primrose remains my one and only friend.
I opened a drawer and got out the can opener. I opened the can and set it on the counter for Primrose to enjoy. After feeding my feline companion, I got to work on putting away the groceries. "Did you behave while I was away at school today?" I said as I looked over my shoulder and put some food in the fridge. Primrose, in response, looked away from me. Being an expressive cat, I could tell she was offended. "Oh, come on, you know I'm only kidding."
I threw away the plastic bags along with the now-empty tuna can. "Come on, Rose..let's say hello to Papa." We walked down the hall to a room adjacent to mine, and I opened the door. Across the room was a small shrine. I sat on the pillow in front of it and looked at the picture of my Papa. He was just getting into his thirties when he died, which came with the light facial hair he had started to grow. He had shaggy hair and eyes that always reminded me of honey. The highlight of the old picture was his bright, warm smile. One that barely ever left his face. One that I was so used to seeing.
I lit the incense on the shrine and clasped my hands together. "Hey Papa, school was okay today. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either." My eyes closed as I thought about my Papa. "My grades are doing good. I've been studying really hard as of late." My eyelids fluttered open as my eyes made contact with the eyes in the picture. I missed hearing his voice, feeling his warmth whenever he hugged me, and laughing at his cheesy jokes.
"I...I've been thinking about the past a lot today.." I couldn't look at his face anymore, and I looked down. "I'm...so sorry that I never told you...I hope you can forgive me from where you are in heaven..or wherever you are." I couldn't stop the tears from flowing down my cheeks as my hands fell to my sides, forming into fists as I dug my nails into my palms. "Would you still consider me your daughter if you knew what I am? Would you still call me your little Hana, knowing what my kind does to humans?"
I felt like I couldn't breathe as I fell to my hands and knees and watched the tears fell onto the hardwood floor. "No matter how much I think about it, the guilt keeps eating away at my soul. Was I really the cause of your death? Did I doom you?" I jolted upward with a slight yelp as Primrose sunk her teeth into my arms."Ow! Rose, why did you-" I stopped as I noticed the distress in Primrose's eyes. I took deep breaths before letting out a long sigh as a half-hearted smile graced my lips."Thank you, Rose. I had another episode, didn't I?"
Primrose nuzzled her head against my arm and walked toward the door. My smile faded into something softer as I got up, glancing at my father's portrait. "I'll see you again tomorrow, Papa." I left the room with Primrose and closed the door behind me. "What would I do without you? You might as well be my emotional support animal at this rate." I watched Primrose walk toward my room, and I couldn't help but chuckle. "Right, you need your beauty sleep." I stretched my back before rubbing where Rose had bit my arm. "She bit me hard. Even left a mark, fun."
I decided that I was just going to skip dinner tonight and go back outside for a walk in the forest. So I headed for the door, unlocked it, and stepped outside. It was almost nighttime, and the sun was just about to set. My head tilted toward the sky to absorb the colors cast over it. 'It should be that time of day, right?' With that thought, I headed back down the path. Just up ahead was my destination, a small bridge that crossed over a river.
From what my Papa told me, this bridge was constructed years ago, and when the builders were grabbing stones to make up the bridge, they somehow found a big piece of emerald caked in dirt. Over the years, the dirt fell away because of rain, and the emerald was eventually revealed. Sadly, the townsfolk couldn't get it out because of where it was located on the bridge since the wall would have to be broken. Around this time of day, because of the angle it had been placed in the bridge, only during this time, when the sun started to set, did the sun's light shine through the emerald perfectly and make a beautiful design on the river's surface. Some myth was also connected to the bridge, but I can't remember it.
I stopped beside the emerald in the bridge and looked over the railing. On most days, it cast a nice green glow on the ripples of the water. Yet, today, it seemed to not be the case as the water almost had a red look. I rubbed my eyes several times to ensure I wasn't seeing things. 'That's never happened before. Is there dirt on it?' I peeked on the other side of the emerald gemstone and saw nothing. "Maybe it's a little early?" I whispered to myself softly before I took a deep breath. 'Something about this situation doesn't sit right with me.'
I shook my head and turned around. The last thing I wanted was to come face to face with another cursed spirit because I was stressing over a weird bridge. I headed back inside, locked the door, and headed down the hall and into my room. Primrose was lying on my bed, sleeping soundly. I crawled into bed, trying not to disturb her. "Good night, Rose." I closed my eyes and tried my best to go to sleep.
Underneath the river's waters lay a plaque, long forgotten. Words carved into it told a small tale of the bridge. "Beware thy soul who views the river red, For soon a terrible fate lies ahead. When visiting the gem of the river so fair, Pray your fate isn't worse than death, beware!"

Part 1 // Part 2
You rushed to the edge of the stage - however, it had other plans for you. The curtains were being drawn, and at their speed, there was no way you'd beat them. You collided (gracefully) into the billowing curtains. Even though they were movable, they did not let you pass to the audience. Instead, it pushed you towards upstage.
The spotlight was no longer fixed on the table, but instead, a door. You recognized it. It was the steel door that you encountered in the beginning of this mess. Perhaps it would lead you home?
You reached out for the handle of the door. This was the third and hopefully final door of your adventure. A pensive feeling crept over you as you grabbed the handle. As expected, it was cold to the touch. You twisted it and tried to pull open the door. However, it required more strength than you thought. You tried again and were successful, except the force of the door closing was greater than yours. With this, you were thrown (quite literally) into your new surroundings.
You found yourself in a hallway. The hallway outstretched a little ways to both your left and right. It was stark white just like the door, and reeked of cleaner used to thoroughly clean something. By the pungentness of the smell you could tell they had to use the cleaner several times. Just what exactly did they need to clean so often?
In front of you was a door slightly ajar. You could hear a harsh conversation coming from within. With nothing else to do, you decided to eavesdrop.
"You lost the files?!" A commanding male voice rang out.
"I'm sorry sir, he just appeared out of nowhere and caught me off guard! I-It won't happen again - I swear!" A younger sounding voice spoke.
"You're right, it won't happen again. Because you won't get the chance to."
BANG
You gasped when you heard the gunshot sound. After hearing the thud of presumably a body hitting the ground, you didn't think before you ran. You didn't care if they heard your footsteps echoing down the hallway. As long as you were far enough away...
As you rounded the corner to the next hallway, you heard a door slam open and many footsteps ascend into the previous hallway. Ahead of you was a big red exit sign. Through the small window on the door, you saw a small balcony similar to one on an old brick apartment. Knowing it was your only chance of escape, you ran to the door and didn't hesitate to go through it.
Thick city air met your lungs as soon as you were outside. You were standing on a balcony that went in three directions stretching over an old apartment complex in what seemed like an abandoned city. There was a path to your left that went on for a little bit until it changed into a stairs that climbed up the building onto another level. Another path continued straight ahead of you across a parking lot and to another old apartment complex. The path to your right kept on going until the end of the building where it suddenly ended. It looked like something crashed into the side of the building and ripped the end of the metal balcony clean off. There was a good 50ft drop from the rail to the ground, so it would be a bad idea to fall.
Abruptly, you were reminded of the dire situation. Mindlessly, your feet began to run in whatever direction you were facing - which happened to be towards the right. There was no time to turn around, as the men from earlier would surely catch you. You took a big breath, nearing the end of the balcony, and hoped you would land on something, anything. You got ready to jump, when suddenly an arm grabbed you. You were pulled by a firm hand on the small of your back into something warm.
Opening your eyes, you see that you're pulled flush against a man's chest. Looking up, you see a familiar face once again.
"Where do you think you're going, Agent y/n?" He said in a hushed voice. His small dimpled grin drew in your focus like a magnet - which was a good thing, because if you remembered how close you were to him you would have definitely had a heart attack. Before you could respond - though, you didn't know what you'd say if you did - the door to the balcony was abruptly opened and out rushed several armed men.
From where you were, they could not see you. You were hidden behind a large pillar-like thing that jotted out two feet and hid you from view. You were standing on a small ledge that wrapped around the building. It seemed as if these buildings were old enough that the ledge could crumble, but that was lower on the list of things running through your mind.
"Where'd she go? Spread out and search for her! You. Go that way. You three check the ledge and see if she jumped. The rest of you with me to the main building! We can't let her escape!" An authoritative voice said from not too far away.
You held your breath as the footsteps got closer. They wouldn't notice you if they just looked from the edge of the rail. But if they peeked around the overhang...
"I don't see any evidence of her jumping. There's nothing for her to land on, and a fall would kill her from this height."
"Let's go back and search the area."
At that they turned around and went back towards the center balcony. The breath you'd been holding that time was finally released. You looked up at the man with you. You were still trapped in his grasp, and with his muscles, there's no way you could wriggle free without falling. He noticed you staring and smiled.
"Hey, the time for ogling is later. We need to get outta here." He said playfully. He then let you adjust over to the right of him so he could lead the way out - which happened to be continuing on to the next side of the building. Thankfully, the ledge was two feet wide so you didn't have to worry too bad about falling. "Follow me."
Still rather shaken from your previous proximity to him, you wordlessly follow his lead. He was moving quite fast for being so high up in the air, but then again, he did talk to you like you were an agent of some sort... Agent or not, you had to catch up. He had already rounding the corner of the building.
Vzzzzzzzzzz- Pk!
After carefully climbing around the corner, you see that he had shot something between a zip line and grappling hook across the empty highway and to the lowest level of the building across from us. He was hooking on a handle when a bunch of enemy recruits appeared on the other side of the building.
"There they are! Seize them and get the files at all costs!" The one in front said. At this, an onslaught of people came charging at you. This would have been easy if you actually were an agent, but obviously you're not, and without a gun you had nothing to do but stay out of your fellow agent's way. Which wasn't a problem because he was handling himself perfectly fine. He was taking on the goons like he's done it since birth, his agile movements making it look all too easy.
It was all going smoothly until you noticed a shadow coming from above you. On the rooftop was a hit man holding a very expensive looking gun that was aimed right at your partner. There was no way he'd notice as he was focused on the fight infront of him. You had to do something.
"HEY! There's a guy up there aiming a gun at you!" You yelled. But your efforts were in vain. He didn't hear you over the shouting of the goons and remained where he was. You closed your eyes and hoped he would somehow move from the bullet's path.
BOOM!
Klunk
A piece of metal falls by your feet and startles you from your terrified stance. Peeking your eyes open, your heart skips a beat when you find that your partner is still very much alive and well. You gazed back up at where the hit man was and see that he's doubled over on the edge of the building, a bullet hole in him instead of your partner. At your feet lay his gun, a little dented, but probably still working. You pick it up in hopes that you could use it to help your friend.
"Don't fire it, it has a defense mechanism. Hand it to me, quickly!" He said suddenly. You had no clue how he knew what you were doing, but you did as he asked and handed him the gun. He took it and used it to shove the next few ruffians, making them topple into each other. He then pushed a button on the gun and backed away. Immediately, the gun sent out massive electrical charges that electrocuted the pile, since they were all wearing something metal.
Smirking, your partner turned to you.
"They gotta taste of their own medicine, yeah?" He remarked more to himself than you. "That should take care of them for a little while." Then he turned to face the street. "Nice shot, but you could've been quicker!" He yelled.
"Well, I was gonna say a sniper joke, but it was a long shot and I don't think it would hit the target audience." A familiar voice responded from across the street. You looked to your partner to confirm that you weren't imagining things and he wasn't actually talking to a building. With an eye roll, he looked back at you and pointed to a window. Squinting, you could see a silhouette leaning against the window frame.
"That's Agent Chaconne. Once you get over to the other side of the street, she'll give you the chip reader."
You glanced back at the figure in the window, then at your partner- who was motioning you to get on the zip line and get a move on it. For some reason, you felt that you could trust your new ally. You reluctantly grabbed the handle of the zip line and zoomed across the desolate street.
It was kind of fun zooming above the road. Besides the fact that there are who knows how many people out there trying to kill you, this was pretty enjoyable. You were almost at the end when a bullet flew by your head, ruining the mood. You began to freak out when you realized you were a sitting duck while on the zip line. You frantically looked around to try to see what's going on. Your partners were already a step ahead of you. One was already countering the new wage of goons, while the other was shooting like no one's business, sniper shots whizzing around you.
You finally made it to the end zip point and let go of the handle. You landed by the entrance of an alleyway. You quickly ran around the corner of the nearest building to cover yourself from fire. Supposedly, Agent Chaconne was going to find you and get the chip reader. Seeing as she was quite busy currently, you didn't expect that to happen anytime soon. You crouched in your hiding spot and decided to wait for her to find you.
It was hard to hear over the constant shooting. So much so that you didn't notice someone approaching you until he was 30ft away from you. Realizing this, you got up and ran down the alley. He was faster than you though, and it wouldn't be long until he caught you. Nonetheless, you kept running.
Out of the corner of your eye, you see something moving on the metal stairs above you. You see a brief flash of light reflect off the brick walls and glance back to see what it was. The man chasing you earlier was laying face first on the ground. Agent Chaconne was standing a little ways behind him holding a fancy looking tazer gun.
"Guess he found that one shocking, eh?" She quipped. Seeing that you didn't find her joke very funny and were more terrified than anything she swiftly changed subject. "I'm sure he already told you, but I'm Agent Chaconne." She said as she pulled down her mask to show you her face. A wave of realization hit you - it was Lisha! That's why she seemed so familiar. "Here's the chip reader. Don't break it, it's the only one I brought." She extended her hand to reveal said object. You grabbed it and stuffed it in your pocket.
"What do I do with these?" You asked, motioning to the two items given to you.
"If you go down the alleyway a little ways, there should be a narrow offshoot ally to your right. It's not very long, and at the end there's a door to a passageway. Go through that door. After that, you'll be able to figure it out."
Figure it out?! What did that mean? Before you could ask, she was already telling you to go. You had one question that needed answered though. What about your male partner? Was he coming with? Lisha seemed to know what you were thinking as you looked back to the building you once stood on. He was still fighting people up there, seemingly never growing tired.
"He'll be joining us shortly. He's just-"
"HE CUT THE ROPE!" You exclaimed. The zip line that once stretched across the street was now sagging on the ground.
*sigh* "That man. Always wants to leave with a BANG." She said, chuckling to herself at some sort of inside joke. You didn't quite find it funny how he was gonna get himself killed.
"He's gonna DIE?!" You anxiously shrieked. This, she seemed to find even funnier than her previous joke.
"Pffffft! Die? No, he's too stubborn for that. Now get a move on it, before someone else finds you." She said with sudden authority. Seeing your hesitancy, she added, "Don't worry, I'll watch after him. He won't die as long as I have something to say about it."
You then reluctantly turned around and headed towards the end of the alleyway. Surely enough there was indeed a side ally. Just as you start to turn down the ally, you hear a loud boom and a bunch of old cement crumbling to the ground. Out of the corner of your eye, you see part of a building fall down. You decide to keep going, even though your heart wanted to turn back to make sure everyone's alright. You reach for the doorhandle, feeling a bit of deja vu once again. You pull open the door and hear an agitated "CHRI-" in the background. But the word was never finished before you were sucked inside the door.
You startled from your slumber and found yourself now back in your beloved house. Had that all just been a dream? It all had felt so real, the adrenaline running through your veins and the wind in your hair. Was that man all just a vision in your head too?

Persona 3 update mostly on the story. I just got Aeigis and as a unit she's interested. Very focused on two things which are buffs and AOE physical damage. However her versatility is low so hopefully she gets better skills later. I didn't expect to get her this early I thought she was the last one we get like. Personality wise she's okay. Standard robot character so far but I'm sure her story gets crazy.
But what I really want to talk about is the characters of P3 and how it's really good at giving them their own agency. At first I was very disappointed that characters didn't get their personas through a self revelation like 4 and 5 and that their social links are way more of a barrier, but I get now it's bc they put more time putting their character development into the actual story instead of social links.
I think Yukari might be my favorite Persona character which man it's hard putting her over Ryuju, Kanji, and Mishima but damn she's up there. Her telling everyone off was chefs kiss to be honest. Dont get me wrong I adore Akihiko and Kirijo and I'm not necessarily saying they deserved to get yelled at like that. But Yukari definitely deserved to pop off. And the scene with her on the beach is great. The fact that she's like there's nothing you can say that will make it go away is just great. Again she's the most normal persona but her determination to do go snooping and finding out the truth is just so badass.
Moving onto Junpei my sweet sweet boy. I understand he's an insecure boy who just wants to feel respected and lovef and worth something but that doesn't mean I wanna go around hitting on women that I have no interest in. But I digress. I love his little arc after the love hotel where he just feels such visible content. I felt bad bc I do like Junpei and I hated him being mad even if it wasn't my fault. But it very sweet tbh after the erealizesnthst he's the problem he genuinely goes 'sorry I've been a dick' and we're good but I get the sense that feeling of resentment isn't over. It seems like a common theme in the Magician arcana.
I need to know what went down with Akihiko and Shinji. Also apparently Kirijo gonea through some intense shit too. They're still shrouded in so much mystery in such an intriguing way and seeing them both open up slowly is very sweet. Also I didn't expect Kirijos dad to be so nice I was expecting a Haru situation.
Fuuka is very funny and her willingness to hack into a major corporation is peak. Again I love her own agenda is just not wanting to stay with her parents.
Again, I love that everyone has their own agenda that makes more internal conflict. The P4 and P5 groups all shared the same goal so most conflict was external and very rarely did personal character development happen outside of their persona awakening or social links.
Also looks like I was pretty accurate in my analysis of the protag and that he's just vwry quiet and calm. He's a good leader, but socially he doesn't say much. So I'm more lenient with him being not as expressive as Yu and Akira if that is in fact his character. Yu comes off as very empathetic and a bit more extroverted (from what I remember it's been a while since I've played 4 and 5 and ofc player choices matter) and Ren comes off as introverted but with a silly side along with a strong sense to help others.
But yeah quickish analysis of the my P3 experience. Could possibly become my favorite solely for Yukari.

lexie grey: went in willingly (not open to death)

Tumblr media
though it only feels like days since she entered the maze, liv knows it's been longer because she's starting to feel the effects of no brains for quite some time. she's getting hungry, so she's staying away from people so she doesn't go full on zombie mode and become a part of the theatrics. starters: peyton Charles,
lola fleming narcisse: was dragged in (open to death)

Hey guys. I've had this idea in my head for a while and wanted to write down the dialogue to get some opinions on it. Please let me know what you think :)
A/N: Eddie survived Season 4. It has nearly been a year since Vecna happened.
*Dustin's hanging out at Family Video whilst Steve is stocking the shelves* Dustin: Sooo...what have you got planned for tomorrow? Steve, picking up a box: Work, like every Thursday. Why? Do you need a lift somewhere? Dustin: Steve! Steve: Dustin! Dustin: You can't work tomorrow! Steve: Why not? I've got nothing better to do. Dustin: Um...because it's your anniversary, duh! *laughs* Steve, on his: Very funny, Henderdon, but you're missing a key detail. In order to have an anniversary, I have to be dating someone first. Last I checked, I'm not. Dustin: *speechless* --
*Later on that day, Dustin calls a group meeting with everyone but Steve and Eddie* Dustin: Okay, does everyone know what tomorrow is? Robin: Thursday? Dustin: No...well, yes but more specifically. Nancy: Isn't is Steve and Eddie's anniversary? Dustin: That's what I thought, but I asked Steve about it earlier and he told me that he's not even dating anyone. Lucas: But he's dating Eddie. Dustin: Exactly! Robin: Okay, I get that Steve can be oblivious but he can't be that bad...right? Dustin: I didn't think he could but...maybe? Anyway, I'm gonna talk to Eddie about this. Hopefully, he's not too disappointed that his boyfriend doesn't know they're in a relationship. -- *Dustin's conversation with Eddie* Eddie, opening his door: Henderson? What are you doing here? Dustin, pushing into the trailer: We need to talk. Eddie: *sarcastically* Come on in. Dustin: No time for manners, Eddie. What do you have planned for tomorrow? Eddie: Tomorrow? Um...I have a shift at the garage and then a gig later on. Why? Do you need a ride somewhere? Dustin: You've got to be kidding me. Eddie: What? Dustin, sitting down: My best friends are idiots. They're idiots. Eddie: An explanation would be nice, Henderson. Dustin: It's your anniversary tomorrow, Munson. Eddie: Anniversary of what? Dustin: Anniversary of you and Steve becoming a couple. Ring any bells? Eddie: Very funny, Henderson, but Harrington and I are not a couple. Dustin: *groans* On second thought, I do need a ride tomorrow. -- *Eddie drops Dustin off at Family Video and is asked to wait outside for a minute* Dustin, barrelling through the door: Robin, it's intervention time! Steve: No- I've told you you can't keep commandeering this shop whenever you feel like it. Robin: Oh shut up dingus, this is for your own good. Steve: Okay is this about the "anniversary" thing? Because if it is, it's not funny guys. Dustin: Steve, this isn't a joke. You and Eddie have been dating for 6 months! Steve: What?! No, we haven't. Robin: What did you do last Friday night? Steve: I went to the movies. Dustin: With...? Steve: ...Eddie. But it wasn't a date. Dustin: Uh-huh, and what about the Friday beforehand? Steve: I was at a club just outside Hawkins. Robin: Doing what? Steve: ...Seeing Corroded Coffin. I was being a supportive friend. Dustin: Steve. On Monday, you told me that you couldn't pick me up because you and Eddie were going to dinner. Steve: *weakly* There's a new Italian restaurant that opened up and we were both interested in the menu. Robin: Steve, that's the third time this month you've gone out for a meal with Eddie. Steve: *unconvincingly* We're good friends. Robin: Steve, as your best friend, have you and I ever gone out for a meal at a romantic Italian restaurant? Steve: ...no. *a minutes silence* Holy shit, I'm dating Eddie Munson. Dustin: Hallelujah! Right, one down, one more to go. I'll go get Eddie. Steve: *panicking* What- no, you can't bring him in here! Dustin: Why not? Steve: Because- he- I just- argh *Steve goes into the backroom* Robin, looking at Dustin: I'll take the drama queen, you deal with the metal-head.

Cowboy Ghost Time!
TAZ Sapphic Week day 4: Cowboy ghosts
I got reaaaalllllllly wiggly about this one and there's so much deep lore which is wildly unnecessary considering it's less than 2,000 words, but here we are. Read below or on AO3 When a (dead) woman and a house love another woman very much...
----
The house is excited, the curtains have whipped themselves open and the door is flung wide. Raven must be back! Istus should think it unfair that it loved Raven better, afterall, Istus is the one who is tied to it. She understands though. She can’t think of many things she loves as much as Raven.
Istus wafts outside, hand half way raised for her usual wave, lazy and slow, there’s no rush here. She squints at the approaching rider. Raven’s slumped, barely holding the reins, her hat is squint and one saddle bag is hanging open and empty. Istus, even with her eyes as poor as they are, can see that she’s covered in mud and blood and her leg isn’t sitting right in the stirrup. Istus rushes to the boundary.
“What happened?” leaves her mouth at the same time as Raven says, “don’t worry.” She’d be more likely to listen if she couldn’t hear the tightness in the words. Raven knows Istus well, knows she’s prone to fretting, doesn’t want her to be anxious, but how can she do anything but worry to see Raven this way?
“I’ll just get inside.” Raven winces as she eases herself down from Hel’s back. She hits the ground heavier than usual, dips her hat low to try and hide the wince. Istus wishes so dearly that she could pick her up and carry her to the kitchen, scoop her into her arms and ease her pain and let her know she is there, she’ll always be there for her. It doesn’t work like that. Especially not with the sun bleeding into her.
Hel noses Raven gently and she pets his neck. “Thank you for bringing me home, friend.” He nudges her once more before he trots away and fades. Istus turns her attention back to Raven. There’s no easy choice of words. She wants to apologise for everything she isn’t; knows Raven will hate it if she tries to.
“Don’t dawdle, love.” She tries to keep the fear from her voice, hopes the disappointment doesn’t leak through the lightness of her tone. She wants more than anything to take Raven’s hand, hold her, keep her safe… It feels wrong to leave, but in here she can get the water warmed while Raven makes her way up the steps. There’s nothing she can do to help outside. Inside is better, the house will listen. The house will help. They’ll look after Raven together.
The kettle is whistling by the time she arrives in the kitchen, hopefully the handle will let her pour into the large bowl already laid on the counter top. Istus can hear Raven sucking in terse breaths which mean she’s in more pain than even she is used to. It’s not that this doesn’t happen sometimes, Istus knows her work is dangerous, but Raven isn’t getting any younger and the necromancers aren’t getting any gentler. The kettle rattles and Istus sucks in some breaths of her own, or, well, she goes through the motions. Worry won't help now, she needs to be calm for Raven.
"They're dealt with." Raven says as she arrives in the kitchen. Istus wishes it were true. This them, sure, they’re gone, Raven won, but there’s always going to be more.
There’s a selfish part of her, stuffed deep down and hidden beneath the soil of her heart that wishes Raven would just stay, let Istus hold her safe, keep all the badness of the world at bay. A life lived just them and the house, the occasional visitors. A life on the sun porch rocking gently in the moonglow. Raven shouldn't have to shoulder the weight of death. It’s an injustice, it’s an indignity, and it’s their reality. She knows Raven wouldn’t change it even if she could, she’s braver than Istus is. There’s lots she would change, but she shouldn’t so she won’t.
Raven eases herself into a sturdy wooden chair and can't hide the flinch as she rearranges her leg. Istus’ impulse is to reach for her, but her hand stays firm to her side. What can her lack of touch offer? She can feel the energy the house is sending to the wound, Raven is already healing, it'll just take time. Time time time. Istus is sick of the way it trickles when Raven is gone, flashes when she’s there, drags when there’s pain to remedy. It’s a tricksome thief.
"I think the kettle will let me pour." She's right. Steam rushes up the side of the bowl as the water mingles with the garlic and thyme. Istus gingerly pushes it along the countertop. She's lost grip enough times to know better than to try and carry it outright.
"Are you seasoning me? I'm going to taste delicious." Raven's smile is tight but Istus’ laugh is full and wild. She wouldn’t care if Raven tasted of nothing but blood and dirt, if she could, she’d kiss every inch of her and savour it.
“You’re terrible, wonderful, terrible. Now, let me see if I can dip the cloth.” She can, thank the fates, so the ritual begins. She starts with the forehead, always, ‘the top down approach,’ Raven calls it. It’s common sense as far as Istus is concerned, the muck runs down; there’s no point starting in the middle. She cups Raven’s cheek with her hand, not quite touching, but the gesture holding her in place nonetheless.
Raven hisses softly as Istus eases the cloth across her hairline, grit and blood streaks from her tight braids down her face. “I know, love, I’m sorry, but I can’t leave it.” Istus knows what infection can do - there’s a reason she learned her herbs, a reason the house grows so many. The discomfort now is worth it considering what could otherwise come later.
“I know, I know.” Raven grumbles but there’s no heat in it. She’s always grumpy about being taken care of, not used to a body which doesn’t do everything she asks of it and not patient about it either. She still closes her eyes obediently, allows Istus to pass the cloth across them softly. Istus doesn’t know if she feels the whispered kisses on either cheek but she places them there reverently anyway.
The swish and rinse of the cloth mingles with the ticking of the grandfather clock, at some point a fire crackles to life in the kitchen hearth. Raven tells her it smells like stew, one is no doubt simmering in the cauldron hanging there. She pushes some gratitude towards the house.
Istus manages to undo the first button, but the others escape her hands. “Can you manage them?” She tries not to let the sadness bleed through her voice. The first button worked, why couldn’t they all work? Raven is hurt and Istus was here safe. She couldn’t do anything to stop it, and now she can’t even remove a simple shirt to clean away the aftermath.
Raven snorts. “If you want a strip tease you just have to ask.” Istus swats at her arm ineffectually. This woman was impossible, incorrigible, and she loved her with every bone she didn’t have. “Oooh, do that again, it felt great! Like swimming in the ice pond.”
Istus laughs softly. Raven hates swimming, passionately, hates the feel of the weeds on her skin and the fish bumping her legs. Istus passes her hand slowly over the worst of the still swelling bruise anyway, smiles to herself as she sees Raven relax some. She revels in the feeling of her chill against Raven’s warmth, usually she just guilty saps it (the nights are always cold here) but today she’s not a problem, not just an issue for Raven to work around. Today she’s a solution.
They settle back comfortably into the swish of the clock, the pour of the kettle, the tick of the clock, and the crackle of fire.
"It was bad." Raven says eventually, lets the words twist in the air. Istus waits, knows Raven will say more in her own time, knows pushing might spook her to silence. "Would I…" she tails off. Istus whispers a kiss to her shoulder, holds a hand above Raven's, wishes she could run a thumb across her knuckles, and waits. "...would I come back here?"
Oh.
Fates. Istus doesn't want to think about it. Raven's alive, she's meant to be alive, warm and whole and vibrant. She wouldn't suit anything else. Istus doesn’t want to consider the possibility of her being anything else. Not yet, not now… but Raven needs an answer.
"I hope so." She says, honestly. Because she does, she hopes that in a far off future Raven does come back… but not soon, not for long years.
"You haven't peeked?" Raven's voice is even, too calm, too measured. In that moment Istus hates whoever scared Raven this badly. She hates them with the dust and the grit and the gravel of hard worn roads, with storms and flames and violent rains, with every inch of her that isn’t and is all at once. There’s not usually room in her heart for anger or violence, but today there is. Today someone broke the most precious thing she’s ever treasured.
"No." It's a simple answer, too short, but how can she explain that she doesn't dare poke at that particular future. Doesn't think she can bear to know this is only temporary, that this, them, is just an ephemeral whiff of a life she can’t live, a death Raven won’t have.
Raven reaches out for Istus’ hand. They don’t quite meet. “I want to.” A whisper, a prayer.
Istus wants it too. “You’re always welcome here.” Istus hopes she knows that. “You’re always wanted.”
Later that night, wind faded and stars bright, two chairs creak on the sun porch. Moonlight bathes the place where lovers’ fingers can interlace.

My Week in Reviews: January 27, 2024
Played a little Oscar/Best of 2023 catch-up, this week. However, I'm still two films away from having seen everything nominated for Best Picture, so I might wait to finish off My Best of 2023... until I've gotten them in (which will hopefully happen this week). Anyway, here's this week's batch of first time viewings.
Nyad (Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin, 2023)
Tumblr media
Annette Bening, Jodie Foster and Rhys Ifans are fantastic, and I have a soft-spot for underdog movies like this, so I found myself immensely invested in the film. Understandably - given their roots in documentaries - some of Vasarhelyi & Chin's decisions are awkward, particularly in the blocking/shot choices in the smaller, character-on-character scenes, but they're not too distracting in the long run. I'm especially happy with the Foster nomination, as she's really the scene-stealer, throughout. And while the Annette nomination is earned - as she's surely better than Robbie was - don't expect her to beat out our Stereotypical Barbie come time for My Best of 2023... Lead Actress list. - 7/10
Rustin (George C. Wolfe, 2023)
Tumblr media
Colman Domingo owns every single scenery-chewing second he's on the screen. This is such a lived-in, emotionally fragile performance that's ultimately far too good for the film as a whole. That being said, the film itself isn't necessarily bad. Wolfe makes consistently makes interesting choices, and the rest of the cast give devoted performances that only pale in comparison to Domingo's powerhouse. But ultimately, there's nothing here aside from that lead performance that manages to move in the manner it's clearly trying for. The moments that are supposed to hit just never hit hard enough. - 6/10
Dumb Money (Craig Gillespie, 2023)
Tumblr media
That whole opening chunk that's so painfully trying to be The Social Network is painful. I get it, it's an 'homage' because they're based on books by the same author", I just don't care because it's executed in a manner that screams ripoff rather than homage. It feels like lazy, boring filmmaking. Paul Dano is great, and every minute he's on screen, I was hooked. Some of the supporting cast holds their own well enough, too, but too many of them don't get any chance to shine outside of the forced moments on the page. This was still a concisely written, interesting look into the whole GameStop stock market movement that was all over the news a couple years ago, though. My main problem with that, is that this would've probably been better if they'd waited even just another year (or two) to make/release it. - 6.5/10
The Parallax View (Alan J. Pakula, 1974)
Tumblr media
Pakula fills this film with seemingly simple shots that - paired with his patience as a storyteller - drown each moment with fraught tension. Beatty is really good as the rogue, obsessed reporter, here, too. But ultimately the patented lack of resolution makes the finale land with a mere thud rather than a satisfying bang. Still, though, Pakula's work makes this one more than worth watching. - 7/10
A Fish Called Wanda (Charles Crichton & John Cleese, 1988)
Tumblr media
Ridiculous. John Cleese makes this wonderfully wacky 180 throughout the film that makes for a lot of fun. Jamie Lee Curtis is as conniving as she is sexy. Kevin Kline is just great (though hardly/barely Oscar-worthy) as the unpredictably fumbling foil. But it's Michael Palin that stole the film for me, as his stuttering 'fool' and the old-lady assassination sub-plot were the moments that made me laugh the hardest; they were such absurdly silly stuff. - 7.5/10
Enjoy!
-Timothy Patrick Boyer.

My Light in the Dark Place — Twenty-Two (Tamaki Amajiki x OFC)
Tumblr media
MASTERLIST | MLDP MASTERLIST
A/N: Surprise post a few days later! I got to editing it fast and wanted to get it finished and posted before I forgot or lost motivation. This also means future chapters are going to get a bit... spicy. 😏 Be on the lookout!
Chapter Warnings: Yuki has a break down over what happened to her and goes into a bit of a spiral; lots of talk about sex also
Words: 4k
There shouldn’t have been anything wrong with the day. Everything seemed perfectly normal and happy. For several weeks, each morning was good. Yuki felt excited for every day and for ways she could make her customers—and Tamaki—smile. But all good things must come to an end, right? That’s certainly the way she feels when it feels like everything that can go wrong does.
She wakes up with no Tamaki, instead seeing a note about how he had to go into work early for an emergency, which means Kirishima is also unavailable. She barely gets herself out of bed, feeling her exhaustion finally catch up with her, only to ask Nejire and Mirio if they could open her shop for her. Of course, both of them can’t because they aren’t even in town for the next few days. After asking a few other friends—all of them being unable to help—Yuki has to make the disappointing decision to close her shop for the day. Frustrated tears roll down her cheeks as she puts up a sign on the door, the heavy rain outside only disappointing her more. But to top it all off, she gets an email as she trudges back upstairs that has the trial date scheduled barely a week away. It's the final straw that brings Yuki back to bed, fear and sadness welling up inside her.
She's far from ready to relive her assault again, let alone see Seto with his smugness, thinking he'll get away with it like every other time. Not this time, you bastard. And now with her Quirk's setback, she'll have to spend the days leading up to the trial resting and hopefully cuddling her boyfriend or else she'll be useless for her and the other women hoping for justice. Nothing is working in her favor.
In her desperation for human contact, Yuki sends Tamaki a short text informing him that as soon as he gets to her apartment, she needs him to cuddle with her, and she gives him an "I love you" with a little purple heart. Sadly, Yuki isn't expecting an answer if he's in the middle of an emergency, but she's just as disappointed as if she will get one immediately. Why is no one here for me? I miss them… I miss Tama. I want him here… She sighs loudly and even groans as she falls into her bed in defeat. I'm acting like a big baby. Take a nap, Yuki. Instead, more tears fall as darker and darker self-deprecating thoughts take over. Useless. Damaged Alone… Unloved… You're just a sad woman that people pity. They're your friends because they feel bad. Tama only wants you because everyone else pressured him. You're still a nobody, Yuki.
The sound of a door shutting and getting locked silences Yuki's thoughts and pathetic cries. She sits up, wondering who is in her home—a lingering fear of an intruder filling her up. What intruder would use a key, idiot?
It's when she finally hears Tamaki's familiar and soft, "I'm home," that pushes her to rush out of her room, meeting him at the top of the stairs with a big hug and sobs.
"What's wrong?" he asks, resting his hand on top of her head while she cries into his chest. "Your text… I didn't think you were upset…"
Yuki shakes her head and presses herself closer, as if she's trying to become a single entity with him.
"Yuki…"
Her knees buckle and she falls to the floor, unintentionally bringing Tamaki with her because he didn't want her to hurt herself. All it does is give Yuki an easier way to curl up against her boyfriend to cry it all out. He lets her, gently rubbing her back to soothe both of them.
As always, Tamaki's presence doesn't allow Yuki to cry too much longer, the warmth of his embrace bringing her a little peace amongst the chaos of her day. It isn't until her jerky breaths cease when Tamaki speaks.
"What... happened today, Yuki? Why ar-are you upset?"
So, she tells him with tears falling from her eyes. Every little thing that broke her from the moment she woke up to then. And Tamaki listens well with caring touches across her back.
"I'm so tired today… I didn't know when you would come back, so I felt hopeless…" I am hopeless… Yuki sniffles. "And with an emergency, I knew Kiri couldn't come help either."
"No, um… Eijiro wasn't needed. He could have… I'm sorry, Yuki. I-I didn't know you would need someone early on today. I would have asked Eijiro to handle it… if I had known…"
More tears fall. "I could have called Kiri?"
Tamaki nods, brushing her hair back right before a new round of sobs spills out of her mouth.
"Why didn't I try to text him?!" she wails.
Reassuring her as best he can, Tamaki hugs her close and awkwardly rocks side-to-side. But when her crying only seems to get worse, he forces Yuki to look into his worried eyes by cupping her face in his hands.
"Why don't we go and… and lie down? Maybe you'll get some rest. The sun's finally come out, too, so I'll open the windows. I'll stay right beside you. You'll feel better… then we'll talk."
Yuki nods as she sniffles loudly and attempts to keep her face neutral despite the urge to bawl all over again.
"Come on," Tamaki says, carefully guiding Yuki onto her feet before leading her to bed. "Lie down. I-I'll take care of you."
Wiping her face of tears as they still fall, Yuki crawls into bed and waits for Tamaki to finish opening up the blinds in her room. As soon as light casts on her bed, she shifts into it to feel the immediate warmth and energy. But it doesn't rid her of the uneasy feeling in her heart. Everything that reminds Yuki of her failures closes in on her at the mere thought of standing in front of so many people… Seto… to be another piece of evidence against his crimes. The sun warming her skin is of no comfort for her.
"Stay there," Tamaki says as he reaches over to brush her hair away from her face. "I need to shower before… lying down with you. I'll be quick."
Yuki nods slowly, eyes looking at him, but not quite seeing him.
A soft reassurance falls from his down-turned lips before he shut himself in the bathroom.
Yuki listens to the water raining down into the tub and eventually onto Tamaki when he steps into it. Her focus tries to stay on the soothing sounds of the shower, but the cocky smirk of Seto's easily overpowers her mind. He's going to win. Our evidence won't be enough. Yoshiro's testimony won't be enough. He'll be free and go after some other poor woman… or he'll make my life a living hell. He'll never let me live in peace!
Yuki sits up, her thumbnail trapped between her teeth as she peers at the bathroom door. Chills tingle up and down her spine the longer Seto's evil grin settles in her mind to the point she stands and rushes into the bathroom; thank goodness Tamaki didn't lock the door.
He pokes his head out and immediately tries to stammer out that Yuki needs to rest and not come in. Except, he can't get anything to come out of his mouth when she pulls the curtain back, stepping into the shower with him—fully dressed—only to hug him close. She's unbothered by the water soaking into her clothes, her hair. She doesn't care at all that Tamaki is completely naked in her arms. She doesn't even notice the fresh tears falling from her eyes. All that matters is Seto's evil aura can't get to her anymore now that she's near Tamaki. Nothing can harm her as long as he's there.
"All I see is him winning, Tamaki…" she says, turning her face away from the water's spray as it hits their bodies. "That smirk… the one that says he can't lose… There's no way we have enough to put him away for good. He'll come after me…"
Tamaki's face falls and—although uncomfortable with the current situation—his arms wrap around Yuki. "We'll win, Yuki… Yoshiro's testimony… it's all we really need. Every woman willing to share her story secures his sentence." His lips press to her damp hair. "I'll never let him near you again… I-I'll protect you from e-everything."
The longer Yuki stands in his arms, the water pouring over both of them, the more Tamaki realizes that in the few minutes he was in the shower alone, something scared her. Something brought her into the shower with him to seek his comfort, and that makes him upset. He squeezes her tighter.
It doesn’t take Yuki long, after she settles down being in his embrace, to realize their situation. Oh. My. God. Wait… did I really just…? He’s going to think I’m some pervert or something! She squeaks and quickly covers her face while turning away from Tamaki. “I am so sorry! I wasn’t thinking at all. That was so inappropriate of me. I swear I haven’t seen anything!”
Tamaki is quick to turn off the shower and grab a towel, wrapping it around his waist in a hurry. “It’s o-o-okay. You were… worried.”
“That isn’t an excuse, Tama,” she says, still covering her eyes. “And my clothes are soaked. I don’t know what I was thinking.”
"I'm not upset about it. Do you feel… better?" He grabs a new towel for her and hands it over.
"A little…"
"Then it's okay."
Yuki looks at him from under the towel she was using to dry her hair. It takes a lot to not follow the droplets of water dripping down the planes of his torso. I knew he was fit, but I can actually see his abs! "I-If you're sure…" she says, clearing her throat. Yuki forces herself to look away. Jumping your boyfriend is the last thing you should do after all of that, Yuki. You're not in a good mindset right now…
“Can I… Can I get you some new clothes?”
The heaviness of her outfit reminds her she foolishly jumped into Tamaki’s shower, fully dressed. “Oh, um… I’d appreciate that. Thank you.”
“Just s-stay right there.”
I’ll get water everywhere if I move. Yuki nods and pulls the towel around her body as the cool air from her bedroom circulates in after Tamaki steps out.
By the time he comes back, he’s dressed in a t-shirt and sweats and has a similar selection of clothes for Yuki in his hands. He sets them on the toilet seat. “Uh, I didn’t know what to do about… underwear for you.”
She blushes. “It’s okay… Don’t worry about it.” Her eyes meet his shyly. “Um… I know I just walked in on you showering, but I would like to change without an audience.”
“Sorry!” Tamaki quickly ducks out of the room, hiding his bright red face as he goes.
Yuki doesn’t waste time getting changed more so she can apologize to Tamaki properly. She hangs her wet clothes over the edge of the tub and dresses in the clothes Tamaki gave her. Frankly, she’s unbothered by the fact she’s not wearing any underwear. It’s the least of her concerns as she shuffles out of the room in search of her boyfriend to apologize once again.
She finds him adding more pillows and blankets to her bed, clearly intent on making it more comfortable for her. Yuki sucks her lips into her mouth before covering the lower half of her face with her hands. Once again, I see I don’t deserve someone like Tamaki…
“Better?”
Yuki’s eyes widen, not expecting Tamaki to see her there already. She shrugs. “I’m sorry again… for walking in on you like that.”
“It’s okay,” he says with a smile, despite the pink coloring his cheeks again. “You needed m-me.”
“Yeah, but I know better than to walk in on someone showering.” You know this wouldn’t be a problem if you had sex with him already, Yuki. “I made you uncomfortable and I’ve tried so hard to not do that to you anymore, so I’m really sorry.”
What Tamaki can’t bring himself to say is how he really doesn’t mind because the longer he thinks about it, the more disappointed he is that the situation was different. Maybe one where Yuki isn’t joining him in the shower because something scares her. But there’s no way he can say that. Not now. Tamaki knows his mouth could never form the words to say it anyway. Instead, he beckons her over to him and holds her close. “It’s okay. I promise,” he says softly. “It… It surprised me. I wasn’t… Don’t be upset about it. I’m not.”
Yuki sighs against him. If you say it, you’ll embarrass yourself. Don’t do it! “I wouldn’t feel so bad if—” Oh, God, you’re saying it… “—we had slept together already…”
Tamaki freezes.
“Oh, my God,” Yuki says, stepping away from him and covering her mouth with both hands. “Holy shit, I need to stop talking.” And she turns on her heel, rushing into the bathroom and locking the door behind her. She sits on the floor and pulls her knees up to her chin. Stop saying stuff like that to him! You know how anxious he is about that! But what if I’m overreacting? Maybe he’s not as uncomfortable about the topic as I think he is.
There’s a light knock on the door. “Yuki. We… We should talk about this. Please.”
“How about let’s ignore what I said?”
“No. Please open the door so we can talk.”
“I can’t.”
Tamaki takes a deep breath and presses his forehead to the door. “Yuki… if we, if we want to… take that step, we need to talk about it. Y-You… You’ve clearly thought about it or you never would have said something.”
She looks toward the door, her lips slightly parted from the realization of his words. “You want to sleep with me?”
“Can you let me in?”
She hesitates. “What if it’s too soon?”
A loud sigh comes from the other side of the door. “This is why we need to talk about it.” It’s the first time Yuki’s ever heard him frustrated.
The moment there’s a soft click on the door handle, Tamaki turns it and walks in. He immediately sits beside her, looking straight ahead while crossing his legs under him, and takes her hand.
“Tama?” she asks, noting the redness on his face.
“Do you want us to go that far?”
Yuki can tell he’s putting on his hero voice just to get through the conversation. There’s no way this will ever happen if he can’t look at me while talking about it. “I don’t know.”
“I think you do know, Yuki,” he says, holding her hand in his lap. “You wouldn’t say something if you didn’t.”
“If you want us to talk about it… will you look at me?”
Without speaking, Tamaki moves to sit directly in front of Yuki. He lifts her feet without straightening her legs, placing them in his lap, and wraps his arms around her calves. He gets eye-level with her—face the reddest she’s ever seen—and looks right into her surprised eyes. “L-Let’s talk now.”
Yuki can feel her face burn with his gaze on her. It’s almost too much to have his undivided attention. “Um, o-okay.”
“Is that a… step you’re interested in taking… with me?” Tamaki’s gaze shifts away from hers only a few times. “Be honest.”
She looks down. “I… I think so, but… I’m scared.”
“I am, too,” Tamaki admits, looking away when Yuki looks back up at him. “I don’t… I don’t want to hurt you or scare you.”
“There’s no way I could ever be afraid of you, Tama…” she says, placing her hands on his arms. “I’m scared it’ll hurt… I’ve only gone so far with another person and then Seto… I don’t have a positive outlook on something I know is supposed to feel good.”
He nods in understanding. “The things you’ve done… did you like them?”
“Um… yeah. But it’s been a long time.”
A shaky breath fans across her legs. “Do you do stuff… a-alone?”
“I have…” Yuki turns her head to also take a deep breath. “It’s also been a long time… for obvious reasons.”
“Do you want to-to be intimate… with me?”
He’s asking if I’m attracted to him enough? “Yes. That’s not a question for me. I’ve talked to so many people about getting past what happened to me, so I can be with you like that. I… I love you.
His shoulders seem to relax.
“Whatever fears I have aren’t because of you, Tama,” Yuki says softly. “I trust you and I swear I know you’ll treat me well if we sleep together. There are these insecurities in me that are hard to overcome sometimes and… and I’m afraid of the pain that comes with sex sometimes.”
Tamaki lets his forehead rest on her knees, feeling the effects of the conversation hit him as he opens his mouth. “W-What if we start with other things? If… If you want to, of course.”
“Other things?” Yuki combs her fingers through Tamaki’s damp hair. “Do you mean like… oral and foreplay type of things?”
He nods, pressing his face more into her legs to hide. His hands are even shaking a little.
“I think… I think we can handle that,” Yuki says. “It’s the farthest I’ve ever willingly gone with someone, so it’s not as scary for me. It might help. What do you think?” I wonder if Mina showed him anything like that. I should text her about it.
“I think I want to make you happy and comfortable,” Tamaki mumbles into her legs before forcing himself to lift his head enough to look at her. “I’ll do… whatever you want me to do.”
“Okay. For now… can you just kiss me?”
“Yeah,” he nods, brushing his hair away from his face—and her fingers—to lean over her knees so he can press his lips to hers gently. “Th-Thank you for t-talking to me.”
Yuki cups her cheeks. “Mmm hm. Thanks for making me.”
Tamaki kisses her again. “Have you had lunch yet?”
“No. Have you?”
“I came home hoping we could eat together. I’ll order something for delivery, so you can continue to rest.”
“And you’ll rest with me?”
“Y-Yeah. As soon as I take care of some things, okay?” Little does she know, Tamaki is planning on texting Kirishima in a panic for some help. He knows his friend has way more experience than him and the advice Mina gave him is fuzzy in his memories.
“That’s okay. I, um, I might need some help standing, though.”
Tamaki makes quick work of scooting away from Yuki to stand, immediately helping her to her feet as well. He’s not expecting the warm hug she gives him as soon as she’s steady.
“I love you and trust you so much,” Yuki whispers.
He squeezes her back. “I love you… too.” It’s hard to let her go, but Tamaki does with a gentle urge toward her bed. “Go rest while the sun is still out. I’ll take care of lunch.”
With a nod, Yuki crawls into her bed that Tamaki so sweetly made up for her. She flops down in the sun, relishing in the warmth, before curling her body around a pillow. But as soon as Tamaki leaves her room, she grabs her phone and pulls up a new message conversation with Mina.
~ Hey, Mina! I have a question for you.
Yuki gets a response seconds later.
~ What’s up? Hit me with it! ;P
~ So… Tamaki may have told me the other day that you taught him some stuff…
~ And you wanna know what? ;P I didn’t know you and Suneater had a thing for each other!
~ Well, yeah. And we’ve been together for a few months now.
~ Wow! That’s awesome! You won’t be mad if I tell you?
Yuki glances toward her bedroom door when she hears Tamaki messing around with dishes in the kitchen.
~ Not at all. We all have a past and I know how he feels about me.
~ How cute! Well, I helped him with kissing for one. He wasn’t bad at it, just a bit stiff. He picked up on it pretty quick. He wasn’t nearly as drunk as everyone thought. ;) After that, I let him figure out what *felt good* for him, if you catch my drift. You are one lucky lady, Yuki.
~ 0_0 I don’t know what to think of that.
~ You’ll be grateful for it in the future. Anyway, once I took care of him, I taught him how to please a woman well. We didn’t have sex if you’re worried, but we did not keep our hands to ourselves. Amajiki has a bit of a wild side once you get him comfortable and confident. I can’t imagine how he’ll be in bed. ;D
~ OMG Mina xD
Yuki actually hides a giggle in her pillow. Leave it to Mina to be completely honest and hilarious all at once.
~ Praise him a lot. He’ll blow your mind knowing you like what he’s doing. I bet he’ll ruin you for all men.
~ He’s already done that, Mina. :D
~ I’m serious, Yuki. Not even our babe, Eijiro, has your man’s talent. And he’s incredible.
~ Kiri and I only got to third base. And we were both new to doing things like that.
Tamaki peeks into the room, knocking on the doorframe. “Lunch should be here in 20 minutes. Do you want me to bring it to you… or will you eat in the living room?”
Yuki lifts her head. “I’m fine with whatever. I guess it depends on the type of food.” She’s almost sure her cheeks are flushed from her conversation with Mina. “Would you sit next to me over here if I decide not to leave my room?”
“Yeah,” he says with a nod. “So… we’re eating in bed then?”
Her phone vibrates. “Only if it isn’t too messy.” Just shut your mouth, Yuki. Be a mature adult even if you’re talking to Mina about sexy things. “Are you going to stay out there and wait for it?”
“Do you want me to… to stay with you?”
Another message comes through. “It’s okay. I’d rather wait for you to join me when there’s no reason to get up,” Yuki says with a small smile.
Tamaki returns her expression. “Okay. Call for me if-if you need anything, Yuki.”
“Thank you, Tama.”
He steps away, and Yuki immediately checks her phone.
~ Sure, but I know he did a pretty good job pleasing you. Eiji was born with talent. I’m kinda glad we grew out of our drinking phase.
~ So, are you and Amajiki thinking of getting down and dirty then?
~ I’m glad we grew out of it, too. And we’ve talked about it. We’re going to start slow, which is why I texted you to find out what Tamaki knows.
~ Eijiro says he’s asking him for advice right now, so I think you’re in for a good time with your man. ;P
~ Tama’s talking to Kiri? I've gotta go cuddle with my boyfriend now.
Yuki drops her phone beside her and rolls off her bed. “Tama?”
“Y-Yeah?”
She exits her room to find Tamaki leaning on the kitchen counter with his phone out, furiously typing on it with an obvious blush across his features. Yuki shuffles over to him for a hug, her cheek nuzzling his back. “I love and appreciate you.”
“You’re talking to Mina?”
“I was and you’re talking to Kiri. You’re so… cute.” We’re going to be just fine.
“I… I think you’re cuter…” Tamaki rubs his cheeks nervously. “That sounded cheesy.”
Humming, Yuki tightens her hold around his waist. “That’s okay. It makes me smile… and feel better. Thank you.”
There’s a moment of quiet as Tamaki mulls over his thoughts. “Are you feeling better?”
“A little.”
He turns around in her arms to brush her hair back and runs the pad of his thumb across her cheekbone. “Good. I’ll do my best to… to cheer you up again.”
“I know, Tama. Thank you.” If she wasn’t so exhausted, Yuki’s skin would light up with the gentle look her boyfriend is giving her. “I really love you a lot.”
“I love you, too.”

high-rise invasion/tenkuu shinpan masterlist
‼ Jealous Reader (over Kuon) + Make up + Confession ‼
Featuring: Sniper Mask, Yuri Honjo, Mayuko Nise (implied), Kuon Shinzaki (implied)
Warnings: frustrated Y/n, crushes, jealousy
a/n - good GODS this has been in my inbox for a while and i’m so so so sorry for not posting it way sooner! hopefully you see this anon, and i hope you enjoy!
content below the cut!
Tumblr media
you had developed a crush on the man in the mask ever since you first joined Yuri's little group
you couldn't really tell what it was the drew you to him
he was silent, dismissive, and he was a Mask for goodness sake!
but none of that deterred you from the attraction you garnered for him
you always found yourself trying to interact with him
whether it was offering your help with something that he was doing, or simply keeping him company
most times he brushed you off, walking away and not giving you an answer
other times he silently accepted your offer
those times the two of you would sit in comfortable silence, just enjoying one another's presence
you cherish moments like these for a very specific reason
Kuon
now you had nothing against the girl!
... at first
she seemed nice enough, always eager to help, and full of ignorant innocence
but then you realized her (very obvious) crush on the masked man
the way she got flustered around him so easily
the way she clung to him like a lost child
at first, you thought maybe she saw him as a parental figure, seeing how young she was
but that thought was (very) quickly thrown to the wind when you saw her wrapped up in his jacket, blushing like the schoolgirl she was and giggling to herself
so what she liked him? you liked him too, maybe the two of you could bond over that!
that's what you told yourself
of course, you never acted on it
it was simple, you were too jealous to do so
you noticed how Sniper Mask welcomed all her little instances without a care in the world
not giving a damn when she clung to him
or batting an eye at her obvious fangirling
it pissed you off
naturally, you began to avoid Kuon
and Sniper Mask simultaneously
you avoided the two of them whenever you could
when you saw them walking towards you, you kept to the opposite side of the wall and walked quickly past them
when you all usually ate together, you picked up your food and ate outside
you were simply, undeniably jealous
you didn't think Sniper Mask cared about it, not that you could tell under his mask
but in actuality, he was confused as to why you avoided him all of the sudden
so, he opted to ask you one day
You shut the door to the dining room rather aggressively as you exited, but you couldn't care less. You let your body slump against the adjacent wall, your plate of food resting on your lap.
Today had been... exhausting, to say the least. Kuon was on her usual actions of pining over 'Mr. Mask', crossing your way a few more times than you would have liked. During your meeting earlier with her and Yuri, your fellow mouthless masked allies, she had the gall to talk on and on about how much she adored him.
You hated it.
You looked down at your food, a scowl finding its place on your features. You glared at it, pushing the pieces around with your fork, not noticing a door open and close right in front of you.
"Jesus, if that food was alive, it would be 6 feet under with the glare you're giving it." You hear a gruff voice call from in front of you. A voice you would rather not be hearing right now.
You continue to move around the food, staying silent as the man awkwardly stands in front of you, unsure of what to do with himself in this situation. "Is it, uh, okay if I sit here?" He asks, which finally makes you look up.
He had a plate of food between his own hands, his jacket gone and sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His mask covered his face, per usual, but it seemed much more lopsided than usual.
You give him a shrug in response, looking back down at your food again. He stands there for a moment, before taking a seat right next to you, your knees almost touching. "You don't mind if I eat with you, right?"
His question makes your eye twitch. Was he seriously trying to be all buddy-buddy with you now? You shrugged again, not giving him as much as a single word.
You heard him sigh, setting his food to the side before he speaks again. "Alright, what's going on?" He asks, making your body tense up. "Nothing." You shoot back, scowling.
"What happened to the Y/n that stayed up and talked about their life for hours? What happened to the Y/n that told me horrible jokes to try and get a reaction out of me? Huh? What happened to them?"
That broke you.
You were angry, furious even. Was he trying to blame this on you? You didn't do anything wrong! If it wasn't for Kuon, maybe you would still be that person! If it wasn't for her, you could still be friends with him! You could be-
"What?" You hear him say softly, much softer than his previous tone. Shit, did you say that out loud? "Yeah, you did." He says again, looking at you with a concerned expression on his face, not that you could tell.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to lash out. I just- I’ve been-" You stutter, trying to find the right words. He laughs at that, actually laughs at it.
His laugh is hearty, warm, almost inviting you to laugh along with him. You don't, but he quickly composes himself, making your head turn towards him.
"Why on Earth were you jealous of Kuon?" He asks honestly, watching at how the invisible gears turn in your head, searching for an answer. You sigh heavily, running a hand across your face as you shake your hands while you speak.
"I just- she’s always there with you. She's latched onto you 24/7! I can't get 5 minutes alone with you before she comes barging in." You rant, frustration evident in your shaky voice.
"I just wanted to be your friend, be close with you. I can never do that because she's-she's there." You groan, hugging yourself with your arms. "I sound like a selfish idiot now, huh?"
You laugh dryly, frowning. He sighs, but a smile plays at his lips. "Y/n." He begins, his hand resting you your forearm. "You know she would never purposefully do that. She just, she has an infatuation with me I guess."
He sighs dramatically, earning a chuckle from you. "But." He tells you, watching your eyes as he speaks. "That doesn't mean I didn't miss you."
Your heart skips a beat at his comment, face flushing softly. "Kuon also misses you. You might not have caught onto it, but she looks up to you." He explains, smiling at how your expression softens, mumbling a soft 'she does?' to him.
He nods, laughing once more. "Come on, have dinner with the rest of us. We can't have you sitting alone out here anymore." You roll your eyes, but take him up on his word. He leads you back to the other, Kuon frantically waving over to the two of you the second you pass through the door.
"Y/n! Come sit with me!" She yells excitedly. Maybe you were wrong about her.
after that interaction, the three of you were all on much better terms
yes, kuon still had her habits, but he toned them WAY down after you explained to her how it made you feel
she teased the hell out of you for it too
you, of course, shrugged it off
but you never told her that she was wrong
you were happy to be on good terms with Sniper Mask again
he made a lot more time for you
your old interactions coming back at full force, and some new ones
he loved to take you on little walks on the high rises
he also made it a point to teach you how to shoot his rifle
which was terrifying, but exhilarating
you fell for him harder and harder every day
one day, you ranted your feelings out to Kuon
and while she wasn't surprised, it warmed her heart to see how much you loved him
yes, she crushed on him too, but that didn't take away from the obvious connection she saw between the two of you
unbeknownst to you, Sniper Mask had come to her about the same things
his usually cold demeanor broke whenever he talked with you
he genuinely enjoyed your company, he wanted more of it
and then some
so, she put a plan together
operation "get Mr. Mask and Y/n together" is a go!
she took it all very seriously
making sure you guys get paired together for scouting missions? that's all her
convincing Sniper Mask to get you little gifts and things? of course
overall, the best wing-woman you could ask for
however, the one thing she didn't have anything to do with was his confession to you
he could have used her help with it, that much was clear
but he wanted to tell you how he felt, no help necessary
Sniper Mask had told you earlier this morning to meet you at his room when the sunset before he rushed to get out of your vicinity like you were a plague. Granted, it hurt your feelings, but you couldn't stand him up.
You knocked gently on the wooden door, stepping back and waiting patiently for it to open. After about a minute, while you had heard nothing, you went to knock again.
Your efforts were proved useless as the door swung open hastily, revealing a disheveled Sniper Mask. His usual blazer and fedora were long forgotten, his hair messy, strands pointing this way and that. His mask sat lopsided on his face, still covering it fully.
"H-hey Y/n." He mumbled out, you offered him a wave as he awkwardly shuffled to the side, opening the door as an incentive for you to come in. You stepped inside, walking to the center of the room as you heard him close the door behind you.
You turned to speak to him again, but those thoughts were cast aside as you felt his hands settle onto your cheeks and his lips molding with yours. It startled you, you're eyes open in shock as you looked at him. His mask was completely off, thrown somewhere in the room, but he didn't seem to have a care in the world.
You quickly melted into the kiss, bringing your hands up to gently hold onto his forearms. He hummed, taking a moment before pulling away, leaving the two of you to gasp for air as he rested his forehead against yours. You opened your eyes to meet his, full of adoration.
"I, uh, I think I'm in love with you?" It was more of a question, but you took it happily. You laughed softly, your fingers rubbing small circles in his forearms.
"Was that what that was?"

Summary: Alex regrets ever saying yes. All he wants is a second chance.
Trigger warning: Mentions of cheating, mentions of sex, swearing, angst
Author's note: my first piece off hiatus !! - you're a twitch streamer in this fic but it won't come up too much :) hope u like it <3

Based on: Break My Heart Again - FINNEAS
you sigh. your ex-boyfriend called again. you've been ignoring your phone for 5 minutes now. was he really this desperate?
you pick up your phone and slide the green button.
"what do you want, alex?"
"___, you picked up!"
he sounded extremely relieved, like he needs you to breathe.
"i did, now what do you want?"
alex sighed and leaned on a wall in his bedroom.
"can i come over? there's some stuff i still need to pick up."
you suck in a breath sharply. the air is thick and tense.
"no."
you clench the phone you were holding and bit your lip.
"i don't want to see you right now."
alex closed his eyes and pushed himself off the wall.
"i understand, you need time."
there was silence for a moment. neither of you wanted to say anything.
"if you want to come over that bad you can get your things tomorrow morning."
"sounds good. i'll be there around 11, okay?"
"fine."
"good-"
you ended the call.
"-bye..."
alex let his arm drop beside him. his eyes were watering, but he wiped it away with the sleeve of his hoodie.
it's his fault, he knew. but why is he still so upset? he shouldn't feel like this - it's is his own doing, after all.
~
you open the door to your home. alex was standing on the porch with a few empty bags in hand. the morning sun blinded you slightly, making you squint at the man in front of you.
"hi ___."
"hello, alex. all your belongings are on the couch.
"great, thank you."
~
he looks over as he's folding a shirt.
"what are you looking at?"
you say without looking away from your laptop.
his face was getting red slightly from embarrassment.
"nothing, you seem busy."
alex directed his eyes back to the clothes in front of him.
"otherwise you would've said something about me."
alex snickered slightly, trying to lighten the mood.
you sigh, holding your face in one of your hands.
don't say it. ___, keep it in. there's no point in fighting him. ___-
"if i wanted to make a comment it'd be about the fact you can't keep your dick in your pants."
god damn it, why did you do that?
he fell quiet. you hated his guts, but even you felt kind of bad for being so blunt with it.
a part of you still loved him. his loud, yet charming laugh. his sweet kisses. his adorable clinginess. his blushing face when you teased him.
you shake your head, trying to physically get rid of your pity for him. he doesn't love you anymore. he shouldn't, and neither should you.
~
after filling the bags with alex's belongings he stood up and wiped his forehead. you waver from your work and look him up and down.
"you done?"
you asked him. he turned around and gave you a weak smile.
"yeah, i think so."
"good, you know the way out."
you turn back to your computer.
"___, wait. can i ask you something?"
you make eye contact with him, fully aware it makes him nervous.
"what do you want?"
alex took a quick breath.
"can we talk sometime?"
you look at him like he spoke an alien tongue.
"why the hell would i?"
"i want to talk about what happened between us. i hate that our relationship is so sour."
he set a step forward.
"i just want this to end peaceful - or at least neutral."
"why the fuck would i want to be peaceful with you of all people?"
"i hate ending things on the wrong foot, you know that."
alex stands his ground, making you livid.
"then we make up, and then what? you'll just break my heart again!"
you stand up, simultaneously pushing the chair away with your legs.
"then i can lay awake and think about why i even let you inside my house again in the first place?!"
if looks could kill, alex would be on the floor.
"fine. if you don't want to, then i guess everything will just stay the way it is."
alex turned around and grabbed his bags. there's no way he's getting through to you right now.
"oh, so now it's my fault?"
you slam your laptop and walk away from the table.
"well, i'm so sorry for being angry at you for cheating on me!"
you don't hold your anger in anymore, he crossed the line.
"i never said that, ___!"
alex yelled to match your energy.
you took a step back. the audacity to yell at you in your house.
"out. now."
alex grabbed the second bag of clothes and without a word walked to the front door.
"goodbye, ___."
alex pushes the door open and steps outside. you go after him but stop at the doorstep.
"fuck you!" you sob out. you grab the doorknob and slam the door shut.
your knees slowly got weaker and you sit against the front door, shutting your eyes.
~
it's been a month since you've seen alex. you've blocked him on everything since then.
you were doing a q&a on your twitch channel and everything was going well. chat was filled with questions and you answered the one's you could.
your thoughts were somewhere else, though.
you still miss him, you really did. alex used to watch your streams all the time. he sent you donations with cheesy pick-up lines, he called you during streams to make fun of you for dying in a game or just to chat while he's bored.
but that didn't happen anymore.
you realize you haven't said anything in a while and you apologize. your chat was spamming purple hearts and 'are you okay?'
"ah, sorry everyone, i'm still tired from yesterday. i think i'm going to end the stream for today, thank you all for coming!"
after saying goodbye you turn off your computer.
why are you still so obsessed over him?! he cheated on you! he even tried to cover it up with a bullshit story about "not being the first to kiss her," and "she forced me to," like someone would believe a lie like that.
yet, you still love him. something inside you wants to believe him, like he really was telling the truth.
~
the next morning you open twitter and scroll for a bit. you made a tweet earlier in which you stated you weren't going to stream today.
you looked at the trending topics and saw your name in bold letters. you clicked on it and read the first tweet that popped up.
'i really hope ___ is doing better, they looked so sad on stream :('
an image was attached to it - a screenshot from the stream you did yesterday where you were mindlessly staring at your computer screen.
you sighed. at least they're not thinking too deep about this.
you scroll further down, replying and liking a couple tweets saying you were alright, thanking them or cracking a joke. this should keep them off your back for a while.
after scrolling for a bit one tweet catches your eye. you clutch your phone as you read the comment.
'kinda obvious they miss quackity :/ it's a good cover-up story tho '
~
alex was staring at his ceiling. he'd seen the tweets about you - about him.
he hates this feeling. he hates the fact that he knows what you're thinking. he hates that he knows it's his fault. he didn't mean to. he didn't.
"come on, alex. you know you want it." the woman said.
"i told you, no! i have a partner!" alex pushed her away for the second time, trying to find a way past the girl and out of this small alleyway. he should've never gone to this stupid bar.
"tch, whatever. but know you'll regret rejecting someone like me!" the girl pushed him to the brick wall and fixed her dress as she walked away.
alex fixed himself for a minute and walked past the bar and into his car. he pulled out his phone and shot you a quick text.
'hey bb i'll be over in a few :)'
'don't come back.'
you responded almost immediately. alex froze as he looked at the screen.
'wdym?'
'you know damn well why'
you sent him a photo of him next to the bar in the alley. the girl was all over him while her lips connected lustfully to his.
'it isn't what it looks like, i didn't start any of this!'
you don't respond. alex tries to send you another text when an error pops up.
'unable to send message. user has blocked you.'
~
you hover your hand over your phone's keyboard. you thought anbout alex's offer to talk, and decided that maybe it was a good idea after all. you couldn't get your mind off him, you thought that hopefully getting some closure could help.
but how were you going to ask him? 'hey, i know i blocked number like a month ago but can you to meet me at some random park? see you there!'
after typing and deleting multiple texts you eventually landed on a message.
'hey alex, i've been thinking about your offer to talk it out, and i wanted to ask if you're still up for it?'
you send it and immediately turn off your phone and place it on the coffeetable in front of you. you did it, finally. you fall back on your couch and pull your knees up to your face, waiting for a notification.
after a nailbiting five minutes a light emits from your phone. you pick it up and read the name calling you. 'alex'. you take a deep breath and answer the phone.
"hi alex."
"hey ___, it's been a while."
you sit up straight, preparing yourself for the conversation you're about to have.
'yeah, you can say that."
the atmosphere was a lot less tense than you expected. it was weirdly... comforting? you can hear alex's raspy voice through the phone. has he been crying?
"i saw your text, you wanted to meet?"
"yes, i did. i wanted to get some closure, at least."
alex chuckled, his laugh making you a little flustered. trying to brush it off, you laugh with him.
"what's so funny?" alex asked.
you rolled your eyes and smile.
"you, dumbass."
he gasps cartoonishly loud. his goofy personality is something you could never get enough of. maybe you were wrong after all.
"ok, but seriously, when do you want to meet?"
he gets back on topic. you snap out of your smile and remember why he called in the first place.
"right, right. i'm free this whole week, you can choose when."
after some planning and back and forth, you decide to meet at a small family-run café in the afternoon. coincidentally, it's the same place you two had your first date.
~
you settle down at a table on the terrace of the café, the sunday sun greeting you warmly. you were a little early, so you decided to think of some questions. it didn't take you long to come to a few, though. your main question was the photo. what was that all about?
as you were handed a menu you saw alex walking on the pavement fidgeting with his fingers.
"hey! sorry if i'm late, i took the bus instead of my car."
he took the seat parallel to yours and exhaled.
"oh no, you're right on time. i was just a little early."
the waitress gave alex a menu and disappeared into the establishment. you both decided to stay quiet before getting on topic. neither of you want to start the conversation.
after both ordering and having surface level conversation for a while silence fell. you both know why you're here, it feels off to talk like nothing ever happened.
"okay-"
"so-"
you both start at the same time. alex awkwardly chuckles while covering his mouth.
"you first."
alex proposes. you nod and like magic lose the somewhat content mood you had prior. you steadily breathe in and pull out your phone.
"so, first things first; my main goal is to get closure and an explanation - there's no point in lying to me."
alex hums in agreement. you could tell he was nervous, you knew him better than anyone. you tap on your screen a few times until you reach the photo that was sent to you.
"now, i want a clear answer. what happened that night?"
you ask him firmly as you put your phone on the table to reveal the image.
"that's my ex-girlfriend."
alex said. you raise an eyebrow - his ex? you've heard some wild things about her and her antics, which is exactly why alex broke up with her in the first place.
"she said she wanted to ask me something in private. my dumbass said yes, because i can't pick up on context clues, apparently."
you cross your arms and lean back on the chair.
"you got that right."
alex looks up from the photo and makes eye contact with you.
"long story short, she pushed me to the wall and kissed me. i tried to push her off but she didn't let me go. after shoving her, like, twice she finally got the hint and left."
~
"so she set you up?"
"she hasn't changed a bit since all those years."
you say with a hint of condescension. his explanation made sense, and from what you heard he wasn't lying. your gut told you to believe him, yet your mind had an itching feeling that there was something else.
"are you sure that's all?"
alex flinched slightly.
"y-yes, ___. i don't know what else to tell you."
you mess with your hair a bit, clearly conflicted. there was nothing else, you knew that. but your brain wouldn't let it go. you decided it's better if you just sleep on it.
"alright, then.-"
you grab your bag and stand up.
"-i think we're done here."
alex stays seated and looks up at you.
"yeah, i think so."
you pick the phone up that's laying on the table. you pull out your wallet and put a $5 bill under your teacup.
"goodbye, alex."
"wait!"
alex stands up and grabs your wrist, the gesture scaring you little bit.
"are you still mad at me?"
those eyes. they're so pretty, almost sparlking. you snap out of it when he lets go, just realizing how weird it is to grab someone's arm out of nowhere.
"sorry, my bad. i wasn't thinking."
alex scratches the back of his neck.
"i'm still deciding if i can trust you, but i appreciate you showing up, at least."
"that's enough for me."
alex smile at you, not trying to pry.
"goodbye, ___."
"goodbye, alex."
~
you heard the chirping of the birds outside your window and groan. why is it already morning? you sit up and grab your phone from the nightstand next to your bed, the phone reading 11:23 - tuesday - xx-xx-xxxx.
you sigh and fall back onto your bed. you've been thinking about alex for a few days now, still not getting him out of your head.
after going downstairs and eating some toast you pull out your phone again, the clock now reading 12:44. you look through your contacts and eventually land on his name.
you hover your hand over the green pixels while sitting down at the dining table. you swallow audibly and click the call button.
it goes once.
it goes twice.
"___?"
'Hey alex, i wanted to ask you if you wanted to meet up again?"

Loki x Reader
1989, chapter 3
"Her heart belonged to someone who couldn't stay"
Summary: It's hard to find the one, but even if you do find him it's always going to be a daily struggle to make it work. Can you even make it work after he broke your heart? The answer to that is complicated, but it all started when you found each other again in the Stark tower- and that's where our story begins.
Word count: 5,300
Warnings: mild angst, violence, badly written missions(I'm sorry), fluff
A/N: this song is so fun, and as always with this series I suggest listening to the song of the chapter. Let me know if you want to be tagged!
A/N: a big thank you for @chrissquares for making these amazing dividers! And thank you @nacho-bucky for beta reading this!

"Hydra is moving fast and advancing, tomorrow they are going to make a move on a not so secret lab in Germany which works on energy cores, we do not know the exact thing that they are after but we are going to stop them from getting it. Reindeer games you are quite familiar with Germany so try not to take over it this time." Tony projected then the layout of the place. You didn't dare look at Loki, you already knew the scowl he had on his face, barely distinct but you knew it was there.
"Why can't we just warn them today and ambush Hydra?" Clint asked from the end of the table. But you didn't look at him.
You strategically chose your sit, no temptation to look at Loki, not returning the looks that you knew he would send you. No memory of just earlier today. Hell, you still felt the ghost of his lips on yours.
"We suspect that with the knowledge, they might try to strike a deal with Hydra and in exchange of money, they will give them the supply they want. It's safer for us if they start on bad terms and we step in to make sure it all ends."
"We only got a handful of the weapons they created, so be aware of that and stay safe. That lab is intricate and big. Bucky and Clint will be on guard outside, take out any Hydra agents that may lurk guarding outside. The rest of us will spread out to protect and evacuate the relatively innocent folks, and the others take out the Hydra super guilty folks. Point Break, Horny Head," you bit back a laugh. "Try to see if there is anything Asgardian in the Hydra weapons."
You were the first out of the door after it ended. You were not going to wait to see what will happen. You almost felt like a prey, his prey, and he was about to catch you any second now.
"Y/N, are you not going to stay?" Steve asked when you were about to head out making you turn to face him, your eyes couldn't help but momentarily wander who Loki who thankfully had his eyes lowered. "We were going to review the mission details."
"Oh no, I'm feeling a little tired today," you tried to hold Steve's eyes but you knew he knew you better than anyone here, well almost. "Just fill me in tomorrow."
You did not see the look Steve gave the raven haired god when he watched you leave.
How could Loki not stare?
Just a couple of days ago his life was empty of you, and then you entered it again knocking the breath out of him just like the first time he saw you.
And just a couple of hours ago you were in his arms and he was kissing you like he did that one time he came home to you after a hard day with his father, and hel, you kissed him like you did that time he came back from a long fight after a week of being absent from your touch. Your kisses always reminded him what he was fighting for, despite the treatment from his family, he fought through to get to his solace, to get to you.
And now he is back to nothing.
And you are back in an empty room where his presence still lingered. Just like the night he left.
Out on the hanger, you were on the open quinjet ready to go when you felt a presence behind you.
"What exactly can you do?" you turned to him after you tightened the dagger strap on your leg.
"Why does it matter?" you went further inside the quinjet, at the very least you didn't want wondering eyes on you.
"I want to know what happened to you." The question made you look back at him. You couldn't figure him out now, he was just as different as you were but that's not it- he left you, no explanation, and now he is here kissing you and wondering about you as if he actually cares. But then again, why would he leave if he cared?
"I don't know what happened, I started to feel bad and I thought it was just a virus or something, but then I started seeing things… and then I just had these powers." You sighed, there were too many incidents before you understood what was happening.
"Nothing prompted it?" he pressed. He was almost towering over you now as you stood against the wall.
"No, not that I know of at least."
"What are they?"
"I can manipulate people's vision and emotions. I alter their reality as I like and control what they'll feel." You looked down then. "That's what I did to you."
"You put me in the invasion in New York, making me scared." You only nodded to him, you didn't like using your powers but sometimes they are needed. As if he read your mind. "You know that it's-"
You saw Natasha and Tony walk into the quinjet then, followed by the two supersoldiers who found you in the corner. You saw the strange look on their faces.
"I know exactly what it is Loki, now we need to focus on the mission." You walked around him and went away, sitting in the co pilot seat next to Natasha.
"Anything interesting happened today?"
"No Nat, nothing. Let's just get to that lab." You helped her start everything, ignoring the look she gave you at the answer.
"Thor?" Steve called to the god as the two went aside to talk out of earshot.
It was colder than you thought. Now you could only pray to any god out there, maybe Greek just strictly out of spite, that the lab will be much warmer.
"At this point, I think we lost the element of surprise boys." Natasha said through the comms as you drove towards the lab, snow covering the ground mostly white but as you got closer and more agents appeared it started to look red.
Bucky and Clint were on top of the trucks, shooting the guys that were securing the lab building from a distance.
With Thor and Loki taking down the guards on the tower, blasts came from besides you.
"Bucky, on our right, take them out." You yelled to Bucky who turned and blasted the vehicle and the agents in it.
"They're out, now could you just try to keep us steady? I don't want to fall off of this thing." He complained as you made another twisted turn, avoiding getting wrecked into a tree or a guard tower.
"You're a goddamn supersoldier, I'm sure you'll manage. Plus, it seems like we will have to leave the vehicle behind soon." You looked at the blockade just before you and Natasha.
"In three?" she asked and you nodded to her, pulling out your guns and shooting the men in front of you.
Then the blockade hit the cars. Bucky, Clint, Natasha, and you jumped out of it and over the blockade, knocking some of the guards.
You looked up and saw Loki fight. You've never seen him fight before.
He brought down yet another tower, pulling out knives out of nowhere and then disappearing behind the guards and he knocked the tower to the ground, its wooden form breaking down in pieces.
"Y/N look out!" you heard Steve calling out to you, he came in with his motorcycle, knocking out a Hydra agent who was about to attack you.
"Thanks Steve!" you called him and went to move away and fight.
"No, hop on, I need coverage." You nodded to him despite his bowl of crap. Hopping on the motorcycle behind him, you shot whoever was in sight. You got closer to the lab and in front of you a new rush of agents lined up. "Thor, we need you here."
"Oh no," you groaned. "You're going to do something really stupid, aren't you?"
"No."
"He always does something stupid, Y/N you should know him better." Bucky retorted and you laughed.
Thor came up besides the two of you. Getting down behind some rocks you guarded them.
"It seems like they are lining up for us."
"How kind of them" Thor raised his hammer and Steve his shield and it pounded as they hit each other, the energy sending the guards and the tank flying, obstructing them and their weapons.
Almost at the lab, a tall man stood in front of you, he had a weird shaped weapon in his hand, before you could advance and use your powers on him, the sky suddenly turned dark, you saw lightning and then his pointed weapon shot lightning energy towards you. It was too fast but you were whisked away before it could hit you. One of Loki's hands covered your head while the other snaked around your middle.
He pulled a long spear and was about to shoot it forward when he saw the man had disappeared.
"Brother have you seen that?" Loki called to Thor who ran next to the two of you. Loki still held you, but you pushed him away with a small thank you, looking at Thor instead and taking a few steps backwards.
"What was that?" he looked at his brother.
"It can't be, I destroyed it long ago." Thor shook his head.
"You saw what happened, it had to be it. Nothing else could do it." The blue eyes turned to you. "Are you okay darling?"
"I'm just fine, I can take care of myself." Pulling out your own knives, you saw Natasha and Pietro up ahead. "And don't call me that."
After you left Thor came up to his brother.
"What are you doing? What is going on with her? Loki were you-"
"That is not your business, stay focused on the fight. We need to find that weapon they used."
The inside of the lab was quieter than outside. Tony and F.R.I.D.A.Y detected the German scientists and you split up to look for them, and hopefully take whatever energy core Hydra was here for.
Jumping a story down, it was weirdly quiet.
"Hey guys, I'm in the east wing, something feels wrong." You waited but nothing came back but static, "Guys? Fuck."
Turning around you saw Hydra agents coming out of a door you hadn't seen before, they started to shoot at you, coming from both of your side, you used one guy for coverage, making them shoot at each other. Locking eyes with one of them, he soon fell with a scream, eyes foggy. You slit the throat of the guy you used and focused on him instead. In a field of enemies, he got up and shot everyone he saw around him. Once satisfied you let him fall down alongside all the others he shot.
You saw other agents coming your way but there he was again, Loki pulled you behind him and shot daggers forward and duplicating himself. You saw a couple running away to what you only assumed was another secret door but you lost them as you turned a corner.
"Guys, there's nothing here." The captain voiced through the comms.
"The comms are working again, great." You sighed.
"What do you mean there's nothing here?"
"I'm saying that this was a trap, there wasn't anything special that these scientists were working on, this is not what we thought it was."
"How could we have been wrong here?"
"I don't know but we have to go now, I don't like this."
Soon enough on the quinjet you tended to Clint's wound, he took a nasty shot. And your wounds weren't near as bad.
"Could they have had something that seemed insignificant to them but Hydra needed it for something?" you heard Tony talk to Steve.
"No, they weren't working on anything right now. The lab was for research, not for weapons."
You picked up on another conversation then.
"We have to tell father what we saw, Loki."
"No, I searched the building, and I didn't see the guy nor his weapon. Father will just send an army here when we don't even know what it is we are searching for." Loki reasoned.
You just tried to clear your mind and focus on helping your friend.
The sunset painted the rooms a lovely shade of orange from the windows. It was quiet as people were either resting, or in the infirmary. You walked through the hallway leading to the Avengers elevator to take you to your room.
He came in front of you from the corner.
"Y/N,"
"Hi." You didn't know what to say now, he saved your life twice today.
"Are your wounds alright?" you let him inspect your hands and arms. This was new to him too, seeing you fighting like this.
"Don't worry, they'll heal." He still didn't take his eyes off of you, his delicate petal out here fighting and risking her life.
"Let me heal them." You leaned on one wall as he stood in front of you, covering your wounds with his hand. You heard him mumble a chant and your skin tingled. You told yourself it was from the spell.
Then he looked up at you, and the look in his eyes was one straight out of your daydreams.
"I should just tell you to leave but-" your breath shuddered, your mind trying to make peace with your heart's will.
"I never stopped thinking about you and I." He admitted, you put your hands on his chest and slowly they slipped up to his shoulders.
"I heard that you have some other girl now, I heard they'll be a wedding soon." The pain in your voice did not go unnoticed.
"It's true, but I never thought I'd find you again. That was arranged, nothing happened yet and nothing will happen."
"I never stopped thinking about you too." You bit your lip and pulled him closer to you. "We know exactly where this leads, why go in circles?"
"My love, we can just call it even. We can't ignore this forever." His hand caressed your cheek now, you leaned into him.
"We're always going to come back, aren't we?"
"I'm afraid so, my dear." Your lips finally met, and you let every worry and fear go away, kissing him back with just as much passion and love.
And there it was again.
The first kiss.
"Will you stop messing it up?" you laughed at Loki as he tried to get the music player to work until he finally gave up and let you do it.
"That thing is just stupid midgardian technology, there is no use to it!" he complained as you magically managed to get it to work, a soft melody fell upon the room.
"I finally got you to agree to teach me, this is far from useless!" you laughed as you came up to him, playing with your dress as you twirled in it. You moved the furniture so you could dance in your living room.
"I don't understand why you even want to learn it, no one on Midgard knows it and it is not like you have balls around here anymore." It was quite barbaric to his taste.
"Yes but I want to learn this dance, I bet it is super pretty and elegant," just like you, you thought but didn't speak up. "I bet the balls there are amazing."
Loki showed you the right position and took your hand. He brought you close and prayed that you won't be able to hear his heartbeat.
"They are. Maybe one day I'll take you to see it," you had a bright smile on your face then. "You know, just so that these lessons won't be for nothing."
"Of course, whatever you say." You held onto him tighter as you almost fell. "I expect a nice dress too, I can't come to Asgard with a human earth dress."
He laughed at you, but it turned into a groan when you stepped on his feet, supposedly it was accidental.
"While you look beautiful in this dress, I bet you'll look just as beautiful in an Asgardian dress," you looked up at him surprised, you forgot how close you were, hel you forgot completely about the dance as you just stood there and swayed back and forth. "Like a true Asgardian goddess."
Loki didn't mean to say that but once it left his lips he couldn't even feel embarrassed about it, no he didn't even feel vulnerable when he saw the way you looked back at him. You moved your stare between his lips and his eyes.
"Do you really think that?" you whispered, scared to break whatever it is you have built in this room, in this moment.
"Absolutely." He closed the small distance and he already knew that he was a goner, you took his heart and mended it with your own. He could feel your passion in it, in your first kiss. He'll be damned if it will be your last. You wrapped your arms around him, pulling him ever so closer, deepening the kiss. He smiled then before you pulled away just a bit, a huge smile graced your face and you lit up the room. Your red lipstick was smeared a bit, your bottom lip was swollen, and he wondered if he ever told you how much he liked it when you put this lipstick on.
"This was inevitable, wasn't it?" the smile never left your face and he didn't know what he did to deserve you.
"I'm afraid so." You couldn't keep in the giggle that escaped you, this man will be the death of you, you were sure of it.
He had never felt as loved as he did in that moment.
The kiss after a bad meeting.
Loki got to your home as soon as he could, he couldn't wait to be in your arms. His father was- well, his father as usual. He just needed some peace right now, and that was you.
He walked into your apartment, he saw your computer open on your desk with various papers all around it but he didn't see you.
"Darling?" Loki called you and you pocked your head out of the kitchen. You immediately took off the apron and went to him, he smiled at you even though he knew you'd see right through it- you always did.
When you reached him, you gave him a tight hug, playing with his hair until you felt him relax under you.
Then you pulled back and kissed him so delicately but it was all he needed. Your kisses surely had some magic laced in them, because you somehow made him feel completely content.
"I love you." He whispered to you.
"You what?" you must've heard wrong. You told him you loved him months ago, but you understood that he needed more time, it was harder for him to open up like that. But while he didn't say it, he surely made sure you felt it that night. Sleeping was not included in that.
"I love you." He repeated and you smiled, going to say it back, "Do I smell smoke?"
The kiss after he came back from war after a week of not seeing you.
The moment you saw the green shimmer from the living room, you got out of your bed and all but jumped on your boyfriend as he took off his armor. He managed to balance himself and you, but then you pulled away from the hug and attacked him with a bruising kiss, you gave him easy access to your tongue and tried to pull him closer by his hair.
"I missed you so much." You leaned your head against his forehead, you both panted heavily. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt?"
He could see the moment the light bulb in your head lit up and he chuckled, he shook his head but he let you see for yourself, he knew it would calm you down.
You lifted his shirt up and saw the small cuts on his stomach.
"You're not okay! Loki come on, I need to clean these cuts." You dragged him to the bathroom and pulled out your first aid kit.
"Darling, I'm a god, these small cuts don't affect me." He rubbed your back but you didn't listen to him.
"And I'm your girlfriend so shut up and sit down. Maybe you got hit by a poisoned spear or something that is like- I don't know what's up there but I don’t care!" he saw how worried you were, eyes bloodshot, he hated to leave you. So he nodded and let you take care of him, his hand raked through your hair calming you down. He had never felt more cared for, or loved.
You swore at him all kinds of curses, telling him to stay safe and be more cautious.
He swore he was going to marry you someday.
Asgard felt different now. After you went back to your room, with a smile that you tried to hide but he caught, he and Thor went back to Asgard- they needed to check some stuff to make sense of what they saw. It was night now so luckily most of the people were sleeping. Most but not all.
As the princes walked through the corridors, lady Iyllir was there with her maids, which she quickly pushed away when she saw them.
"My princes, I am so glad to see you back in Asgard, it's almost midnight now how come you are still with your armor?" she frowned at the cuts and light bruises she saw in the dim light.
"We just got back, and we are both very tired so we are going-" Thor put a hand, keeping Loki in place.
"It is really late, I'm sure my brother will be happy to escort you back to your chambers?"
"Oh that would be great, thank you my prince, have a good night!" she bowed to Thor and took Loki's outstretched arm. He sent a nasty glare at his brother but walked with Iyllir towards her chambers.
"I hope you are okay, your cuts still haven't healed." She took his hand, gently examining the cuts.
"I assure you I am fine, these cuts will be healed soon. Midgardian weapons cannot wound me badly." He gave her a smile and she only nodded.
"I miss our time together, you are great company. I hope you are staying longer this time."
"We will be staying for a couple of days I assume."
"Oh, great, so tomorrow we can go to that nice garden that you said you will take me to!" she gave him a kiss on the cheek quickly before turning around and walking into her room. "Goodnight, my prince."
He groaned to himself, he did promise to take her there. He pondered about it as he went back to his room. The lady and he had quite a good time- that was before you came back into his life. He walked the long way around to his room.
"This place really is beautiful like you said." The redhead looked around at the flowers that were around them and the tall bushes that created a barrier from the outside of the garden.
"They have been using magic to grow the bushes around the entire ground, making them into walls of this place." He remembered what his mother told him about this place.
"Thank you for bringing me here, I never knew this place existed." She smiled at him and sat on the ground next to him.
"It's my pleasure," and for a moment those barriers made him go back to a couple of months ago, when he would wander around in thought about the lovely lady his father brought for him to meet, soon to arrange a marriage. "Did you manage to finish the book I gave you?"
"I did, it was really interesting. I find history fascinating so the book was splendid to read."
They talked like this for a few more hours, talking about books and exchanging stories.
Before he knew it, Iyllir got closer and closer to him, sitting right beside him. The silver tongued prince went silent when he saw her lean in, all the while smirking at the look on his face before returning her gaze to his lips.
He considered his options. You were his only love, perhaps you always will be, but will you stay after all that is over? Can he still come back to you? He remembered the reason he left, the moment was scorched in his mind but now things were different. Maybe this time he will be able to stay, would you let him? After all, all you agreed about was temporary, just for old times' sake.
Their lips touched now.
"I can't." Loki said, before leaning back from the offended girl in front of him.
"Why not? Our parents brought us together to marry."
"Perhaps yes, but while you are great company I am not ready for this yet. We should go back, I have a meeting to attend to soon."
When they got up, she refused to take his hand. It was a silent walk back.
"Thor, are you sure you checked it all?"
"I did Loki, the vaults were lacking multiple weapons. They were old ones. Do you think you could tell exactly what is missing?"
"I'll do my best." The vaults closed behind them and Loki started to scour the items present, while trying to find the missing.
"I saw you were taking a walk with lady Iyllir today."
"What about it?" Loki went deeper into the place, looking at the empty stands and mentally taking note of all the items that should be there.
"I also saw you were around Lady Y/N a lot. You still haven't told me how you know her." Thor studied his brother, following him to the big closet.
"I was on earth and I happened to meet her, I did tell you."
"I'm not as big of a fool as you think I am, I can see the way you look at her. And the way she looks at you."
Loki didn't know if he was relieved or frightened as he found a way out of this conversation when he opened the doors.
"My wand, Thor my wand is gone!" Loki's eyes went wide alongside Thor when they saw the other weapon that was missing.
"This is ridiculous, why is he throwing a party in the middle of this mess? We can't waste time Thor, we need to tell them what those Hydra mortals have." Loki scowled as he got through the people dancing in the crowded room.
"Will you keep it down Loki? These mortals don't know a thing. I'm sure Tony will listen to us when we find him.
Looking around the room, he saw several other faces he recognized, and then he saw you- grinning and laughing with a guy he did not recognize. One of the mutants- was her name Wanda? She came up to you with a hug, and joined in on the conversation. Maybe it wasn't like what he thought. He hoped so, when you looked straight at him. In the daze, he looked at the tight little skirt you wore, his mind was lost and didn't notice when you reached him. The crowd seemingly closing around you, a barrier that let you be alone without watching eyes.
"See something you like?" you smiled at him, he couldn't help but return it, not ashamed of looking at every inch of your body before answering you.
"Yes, very much" he put his hands on your waist, bringing you closer. You put your arms on his shoulders, keeping him close.
"We said we will start anew, right?"
"Yes." You leaned your head on his chest, and the two of you started swaying not along to the music but to your own heartbeats.
"I missed this, Loki. I missed us." You confessed to him, he didn't have to answer, you knew.
"Did I ever tell you how much I love that red lipstick of yours?" you chuckled and lightly kissed the side of his. He sighed at the contact and your heart fluttered at the red mark your lipstick left on him.
He brought your chin up with his hands and didn't spare a second before attaching his lips to yours. He didn't know how he survived without your kisses, without your touch. He actually did know, it was hel. He would go sleepless at night, conjuring up figures of you beside him but that could only help so much. When he missed you most, he would go to Heimdall and ask about you. He was the only one that knew after all, he was the only one who knew about his only weakness. But then so many things have happened, some distracted him from the loss of you until he got used to it, and some… some he had to keep you in his mind just to survive through the very worst things that were inflicted upon him.
But now that you were in his arms again, he knew it will be even harder to let go of you if you asked him to leave afterwards. And he made sure to show you how much he still loved you in the kiss until you parted and looked at him, your eyes begging.
"Take me home, Loki. Take me away."
With the temptation, it was something he couldn't deny the both of you.
The minute he teleported the two of you to your room, your lips were back on his, pulling him with you until you hit the bed.
You made quick work on taking off the white shirt he wore, as he unzipped your skirt, letting it fall to the ground before he picked you up and laid you beneath him on the bed.
You looked up at him, feeling whole again remembering all those other times you were just like this, he always had the same James Dean type daydream look in his eyes, right before he made sure you remembered who your heart belonged to.
He promised himself to show you how much he missed you, and make up for all those years apart.
You spent the next few hours devoting yourself to each other, you were sure everyone could hear you scream his name in pleasure. But you didn't find it in yourself to care when he made you feel this good.
"What do you mean you didn't get the weapon?" the agent backed away, scared.
"We didn't expect it, and besides- he was there!" begging for his life, he hoped he will get out of these woods alive, the weapon in front of him was powerful enough.
"Who was?"
"There were more of them than usual, we didn't expect him to be there- we couldn't get the weapon!"
"You will be given one last chance to do this right, if you fail I will make sure you pay the price for it."
He was then handed the weapon, wrapped in a cloth.
"Do you remember how to use it?" the agent considered it, before he grabbed it in its hilt.
"And this stone heals it, right?"
"Exactly, use it when I'm gone."
He did just that, pulling out the sword, examining the weight of its powers, looking at the gem stone, then turning back and stabbing the other agent behind him. He let him bleed, before finally taking out the stone, and he watched in wonder and the wound healed. This will be fun.

Do you know if the CW feels any impact from the audience of their shows in countries where they're not a channel? For example in Brazil there's no CW, but some of their shows are on the Warner Channel as well as stuff from other networks.
This one is a little more complicated, I'll start at "nyes".
Here's the thing: at the end of the day, the CW is an empty vessel. It has less than 400 employees, and technically even qualifies as a "small business" resultingly. It is an LLC, meaning it has no stocks, and can not be held accountable on the stock market and the executives there have a series of protections designed to keep them from taking personal hits.
Boycotting the CW is a method to plink the armor of its much larger parents. At the end of the day, the CW--shitty as its ethics, choices and influences are--are mostly beholden to its parent companies.
Does anyone remember when I told people, the second that Wayward was cancelled, that CBS was responsible, despite Wayward being a WB IP? I explicitly mentioned Moonves, and quoted his methodology on properties, ratings, streaming and more? Then dipshits like You Know Who tried to claim they knew better, and that I was crazy/stupid, and then like a month later one of the wayward women said at a M&G that the contractual breakdown was from CBS, and This Guy Named Moonves, and then there was radio silence and the You Know Whos emitted crickets, buried the conversation, and pretended it never happened?
That's because these things are related. They all influence each other, as per my last ask (x).
At the end of the day, the things that happened on, say, Supernatural are you actually being pissed at the WB. You can see the WB's historically failing Studio Responsibility Index on things like LGBT representation here at the GLAAD website. (x)
Just like a lot of the supreme BS attempted-but-massively-failing woke content tends to spew out of CBS trying to appeal to The Young Gays while segregating The Gay Stuff off their prime network that is historically way behind the others. They have no idea how to actually make or handle that content, but slap pride flags and a few Hashtag Fact phrases on content and plug it up the CW's ass to market it to you with more rainbows and a big impressive tally list of gay characters, that the You Know Whos of fandom insist make it a great representation channel, and bury the conversation that most of those are one-off or very minor characters, dead, or worse. They're there to hit a target that's a good talking point. Nothing else. They put a gay in the background of a poster somewhere so That Counts(tm) and look how progressive they are, make sure to attend his funeral next episode.
This may all seem like a huge aside to the initial ask but it's necessary framework to present, in association with the above-linked previous ask, on why holding the CW accountable is important. Because at the end of the day, be it the Nadria Tucker issues with WB/DC and their firing her for racist/sexist reasons; or the erasure of gays on Supernatural to the point there's clearly an order to their related syndication networks where they won't even air 15.09 or 15.18 again much less the finale; or the bullshit attempts at being woke on Walker where they think making ICE prisoners a talking point to launch a white man cop's story as relatable to an ICE officer's struggles is good marketing; to things outside of it, like--as posted by POLOL member Rebarn in the server,
Tumblr media
-- these are people actually being mad at choices made by the CBS and WB. The CW is just a vessel to deliver it with minimal accountability and a PR mask people eat up like the gay candy they're trying to sell you even if it's just sugar free beaver anus flavoring.
But because of the size of these giant merged companies, like--trying to tackle WB head on for example is a fools' errand unless everyone pulled their heads out of their asses and ended this "I DO WHAT I WANT" personality and started heavily networking with say, DC fandoms and adjacent to do substantial damage to their franchises far larger. But, again, deferring to the above linked previous ask, if you knock out the CW as a content vehicle, even if it's smaller, you suddenly dent 6, 7, 8, 9 zeroes out of WB/CBS profits because you CAN knock down the CW, and change how they have to peddle their product.
To round full circle to your ask: just because the CW isn't in your country doesn't mean it does no good to boycott the content. Because the profit still goes to the IP holders (CBS, WB), and it's still part of the joint statement, as well as lowers the digital franchiseability of the products they're trying to resell on the market, internationally.
For example you know how internationally Netflix shows a lot of "Netflix originals" that are very obviously not originals, but are instead shows from other sources? That's part of The Rights Game. Initially CW and Netflix had a brokered deal of bulk packaging for a very large, very pretty price to them that helped bankroll them for years. This is also why CBS started shoveling absolute fodder content down the CW's throat that could run on just about negative ratings -- again, I point to the Moonves interview I cited as implication to why Wayward was bumped off the line -- so CBS could run away with the digital profits 100% licensing things in dozens or hundreds of companies. But CBS threw a goddamn hissyfit about merchandising rights when Netflix was like hey if we're gonna source all these shitty shows can we get like 10% of the merch value and CBS threw themselves on the mcdonalds playplace floor kicking and screaming, and then CW lost its legendary netflix deal which made them have to start peddling their content individually.
So if you cut off viewership of this content internationally, its franchiseability tanks, and CW continues to lose a huge part of its bankrolling value both with digital and to its parent companies using it as a vehicle to deliver content to shove into digital venues. The lack of the Netflix deal is why CBS is also wandering around like a pauper to platforms trying to find a home for its content--like convincing WB to host Walker on HBO Max, where I promise it's not going to do well. Most of its audience is beyond streaming age, and I promise no young 20 something is gonna open HBO Max and be like YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT TO WATCH, THIS YEEHAW COP REBOOT WITH JARED PADALECKI SPITTING IN A POT AND PULLING UP HIS PANTS. They're gonna fuckin' turn on Game of Thrones or something. Netflix, hulu, amazon don't fuckin' want it because they see that on the horizon. They're not gonna pay the money CBS wants for it. CBS All Access is for old people and they're too noncommittally fake woke just enough to piss off the Trumpers (points back to point about CBS content/representation way up there). So CBS DOESN'T EVEN WANT IT ON ITS OWN STREAMING PLATFORM.
Walker's housing arrangement on HBO Max is actually an early symptom of CW death throes, and CBS trying to figure out what the hell it's going to do once the CW goes under. It burned its netflix bridge, and soon won't have CW to try to float/sell/farm its content. Streaming apps don't want their content anymore. Their content underperforms.
So yes, absolutely boycott these products internationally. It adds to the weight of what's going on and continues to make CW less and less valuable on the front, continues to damage the actual IP holder parent companies and take their products to their knees, and continues to expediate the decline of it all in one network of fuckery. The same way the CW was a strength for its parents by webbing between them is now a way to drag them into a collective undertow and force bad business results on them all around, essentially inverting its value, expediting the rate at which they decide the CW is a money sink, and making them watch the 0s fly out of their bank account in a way that--say--trying to tackle the WB directly wouldn't accomplish.
CW no longer owns the rights to SPN, hence deleting its YT content. WB does. But WB has been feeling the crunch enough that brand new unopened S14 complete season blurays with specials are being sold under 10 dollars at walmart with 2$ off other movie tickets on the front and still not going off the shelves. That's them even trying to recover costs on releasing them to begin with. The WB tried to put out a mega 15 season uber collectors set giveaway enter by RT and got like, 300 RTs total. They need traction, they're not getting sales, and we're seeing the active results.
Continue to put heat on products that came by way of the CW as a result of their communal meddling being bad for business in any way possible, even after CW is no longer airing it and once the money is going straight into the IP holder parent company pockets. Not only are you then making The Correct People(tm) hurt, you're further devaluing the CW itself and accelerating its heat death which STILL will end up massively dinging the WB/CBS for reasons explained above in ways that kicking the titans in the shins itself wouldn't accomplish.
Hopefully that clarifies.

Hi! It's my first time writing on here and I just write what's on my mind I'm sorry if this is bad since english is not my first language ㅠㅠ I promise I will get better with my writing! Enjoy ^^
Tumblr media
Lonely.
That's what you are feeling. It's been 3 days you got stuck in this unknown land. You thought it was beautiful, it really was. But will you be ready to face what's in front of you?
You manage to survive with fruits like apples and cashews, at least that's what you thought the name was, because in your world they called it cashews. Even though it doesn't really give you enough nutritions, as long as you get to live you're okay with it. Heck there were almost nothing here. You wanted to explore the place more but there are monsters everywhere, and you- with no weapon, could only run and hide in hopes of not getting spotted by them. Will you ever survive?
Sighing, "just another day like this I guess"
you said before drifting to dreamland under a tree in a secluded area of the unknown land.
----
"She's still breathing"
"Paimon! What are you doing?!"
You could hear someone whispering- half screaming to be exact, at someone but you are more bothered at someone poking your arm with a stick. Groaning, you woke up and realized someone invaded your place. Ready to fight whoever that was, your actions suddenly come to a halt when you meet a pair of golden eyes and his tiny little companion. They were as shocked as you, well... I guess you are more shocked to see a floating kid beside the blonde boy.
Quickly, you hide behind a tree. Since you don't have any weapon to defend yourself what else can defend you other than a tree?
"w-who are you?! And why you can float?!"
you shrieked, the little floating kid crossed her arms and scoffed at your question. Why would she scoffed at you?
"excuse me young lady but we're the one who should ask you that!".
You just meet her now but god knows how much her high-pitched voice started to annoy you. The blonde boy beside her started to speak up before his companion could even say a word,
"I'm sorry she bothered you. I'm Aether, and this is my travel companion, Paimon. We found a group of hilichurls around here and we already fight them off before it could reach your campsite. May we know what is your name?" he asks as his pair golden orbs stares straight into you.
"Uh.. My name is y/n..."
He smiles, assuring you that they're safe and can be trusted, you slowly got out behind the tree when he stretches out his hand for a handshake. You grab his hand, reciprocating his action. "it's nice to meet you y/n".
----
"No"
"Aether c'mon please?"
"ugh fine"
It's been a month you had stayed in Monstadt, The Land of Freedom, and a month since your encounter with Aether and Paimon. She still annoys you though, but you're really grateful that she can keep the conversation going because it always turns awkward whenever you tried to initiate a conversation with people. You learned that Aether didn't come from this world too, separated from his sister by the unknown god and now is looking for her in Teyvat. Hopefully, you can go back home too.
You missed your family of course but you're also happy that there are people who willing to take care of you, especially Barbara. She treated you like her own sister, beside Jean. You learned everything here from Lisa and learned how to fight from the cavalry captain Knights of the Favonious, Kaeya. And Diluc? He's hot, but cold as ice at the same time and you went to the Tavern once, only to see him talking to a bard named Venti, about how the bard needs to stop drinking all of his dandelion wine before he runs out of it because of him.
Now, Aether is in front of you as you manage to persuade him to bring you to one of his adventures. He never let you tag along because he told you it's dangerous outside. Both of you are no vision holders, but he has the power of Anemo. It's still a mystery to you but he's an outlander so it would probably make sense why he can have such powers even without a vision blessed by the Archons.
"But! You only have to fight the hilichurls only while I take down those mitachurls, got it?" he says. Nodding your head aggressively, you started your journey with him as an adventurer.
"Let's go to Liyue!" Paimon says excitedly.
---
"That was close, thank you y/n"
Aether pants heavily, letting out a sigh of relief as you kick off the last hilichurl with your sword. Turning around to face him, you tell him it's nothing.
You three bumped into a hilichurl camp in the middle of the road of Bishui Plans. Unfortunately, those group of monsters noticed you before you three could even hide.
You were about to follow Paimon but Aether called you, you look at him as his face expressed shocked. You asked him what's wrong only him to point at your hips. You were confused so you look down where he's pointing at. Well now you're equally as shocked as him, if not because of the shining crystal blue orb hanging on your belt.
"What... I-I swear it wasn't there before?"
You whispered, questioning yourself because how did it get there? How did you even got a vision? What did you do? You know it's a vision because Lisa has taught you at the library back in Mondstadt. How? That was all in your mind.
You hear Paimon gasped, putting her hands on her mouth, "you got a vision! Let me see!". She flew to look at your vision before touching it to get a better look. "You got a cryo vision!" she exclaimed.
"Cryo? You mean I get the power of ice?" You question her. She nodded her, "Yes! Now you can help Aether to fight enemies!". Looking down at your feet, sighing. Aether asked you what's wrong and you simply said you don't know how to fight. Like actually fighting enemies with your own power, how to use it and how to handle it. What if you unintentionally hurt people around you? Aether chuckled at your response. You look up at him, tilting your head in confusion.
"Don't worry, I'll teach you"
----
"I wish kaeya was here"
"You don't like it when I teach you?!"
Chuckling at your friend, you said it's not that you don't like it when he teaches you. It's because "it would be easier if a cryo vision holder teaches me how to control the element", you says.
He let out a puff, while you were stroking Paimon's hair on your lap. She snores softly and you swear you could hear her mumbling sticky honey roast in her sleep. Giggling at her, you wonder how can she be cute and annoying at the same time. It's unfair you think. You turned your head to look at Aether and he was zoned out, as always.
"Mind telling me what's in your mind?"
You picked up his habits quite quickly, since you both attached to the hips all the time. You would notice he always does this when he's deep in thought. The same goes for him. You both can read each other like an open book.
He looks at you, smiling. Shaking his head and tells you he always thinks the same, about his sister. You smiled back at him, you assured him that you will meet her soon. And now, you both enjoy the calm breeze as you both watched the sun set over the blue horizon at the nearby cliff in Liyue.
"S-sticky honey roast... "
----
Annoyed.
That's how you feel right now.
This guy just keeps pestering you for 20 minutes now. You got separated with Aether as he got something to do with Zhongli, the Wangsheng Parlor Funeral Consultant. Aether wanted to let Paimon stay with you but you said you're fine on your own and you would enjoy alone time in the time being while waiting for them.
But you didn't expect this.
"Can you stop following me now?"
"Why would I?"
Rolling your eyes, you bump into his shoulder, or Childe as he call himself.
"Oh don't be like that girlie-" " I have a name shut up" you sigh for the nth time. You need to avoid this man, because he's one of the Fatui, you don't want to involve yourself and Aether with them. That's why you've been running and avoiding him at all cost.
"Well you never tell me your name girlie-"
"It's y/n okay? Now go you're getting on my nerve..."
you mumbled the last sentence. He only chuckles at your reaction as he enjoys it. You were buying some street food from the food stall and before you could give your mora to the seller, someone beats you to pay for the food. You were not complaining though, you didn't thank him either.
"Okay then but can I ask you one last question, y/n?" he smiles widely while you only look at him, chewing your spicy fish cake, unamused. His question however, almost send you to you death as you were choking on your food.
"W-what did you say?!" "I want to get to know about you"
Aether is not going to like this...
----
As expected, he was mad. No, he was furious.
"Why did you talk to him?!"
"I tried not to talk to him Aether, he kept following me when I tried to avoid him! To the point he creeps me out..."
Aether sighs, rubbing his forehead as Paimon watched you two arguing. Was this the only time Paimon shuts her mouth? Excluding the time she's asleep. She knows when to silent herself because this time, Aether is different in Paimon's eyes.
"So.. Did you agree?" he questioned, not giving you a glance. You shake your head, "No, of course I didn't. He's dangerous and he could hurt us if he has the opportunity..." Which is true. Childe is a harbinger, and you, just a mortal from another world who just got dumped to Teyvat out of nowhere.
Aether engulfs you in a hug, which surprised you. You could feel your cheeks burning from the physical contact. His arm wraps around your shoulder while the other strokes your hair, calming you.
"I won't let that happen to you, Paimon and me. I won't let him hurt us, I will promise you that I will protect you both from any danger. I don't want to lose another friend..." he says and the last sentence sounds more like a whisper to you but you understand him.
You also promised to yourself that you will protect paimon and him. Because you love them.
----
"Well traveller, you're quite stronger than I thought"
"Stay away from him!"
You yelled at the harbinger, keeping yourself from falling as you struggled to stand up. Paimon tried her best to keep Aether awake while you were guarding them, ready to attack him anytime.
Childe let out a loud laugh, as if he was mocking you and your companion. Shaking his head, he came closer to you.
"You know what, you're lucky that you didn't fall for my tricks" he chuckles. You were getting antsy everytime he take a step closer to you, "no one is fool enough to fall for a harbinger, Tartaglia" you sneered.
He was about to attack you with his hydro sword but you managed to dodged it with your power and turning it into an ice. You both fight for a while and fortunately, Aether came to help you.
After hours of fighting, that's what you think, you feel drained out. Slumping on the floor, you take a glance at Aether he was panting hard, Paimon at his side to support him. And Childe, he looks better than both you and Aether combined but he's still in a good shape.
As you were trying to stand up, you saw a glimpse of a woman at the corner of your eye. You widen your eyes and tried to push Aether away as you saw the woman was about to attack him with her sharp ice.
Signora.
You made a wall of ice to protect Aether and Paimon from her attacks. However, you didn't do it for you. You didn't protect yourself and got hit by the ice. The ice wall from you melts, so does Aether's world when he saw you, bleeding from your own element.
Childe was as shocked too, he thought you were a genuine person, he really do. Is this what it feels when you know someone personally got hurt? He can't imagine what Aether feels now.
You fell, you felt dizzy as you hit your head on the solid ground.
"Y/n!" Aether and Paimon yelled your name, but why do they sound like they're miles away?
"Y/n! Keep your eyes open! Don't you very dare to close your eyes!" Your friend screamed. Paimon is holding your hand while sobbing on you. "Y/n you can't leave us! Paimon still want to have fun with you!"
All you can do is cry. You don't want to leave them. You still haven't find your way back home, you can't. But you were losing so much blood and all you could do is remembering your moments with your friends.
Aether and Paimon.
Aether holds you on his lap, you could feel his tears falling on your cheek. He cups your cheek as he stares into your (e/c) orbs. To him, it resembles the stars on the night sky. He wish he could look at them like this before.
Not when you're dying.
He put his forehead on yours as he keeps repeating "please don't leave" to you. You promised him that you will protect him, but not stay with him. Did you regret it? Yes. You wish you could stay but you knew at the end, both of you will leave eventually.
But you didn't expect that you would leave them like this.
With all your might, you hover your hand over his that was on your cheek, rubbing it softly. "Promise me, we will meet someday, wether it be in our next life or in different universe, promise me we will meet again" you said, voice getting hoarse and staring to his golden eyes. You want to remember his eyes, his nose, his lips, his everything.
"Paimon doesn't want you to leave!" your little friend cried, you let out a loud sob as you pull her to your chest, soaking your bloody shirt with her tears. You three tried to cherish your last moment together, even though it was a tragic one, like now.
Aether tighten his hold on you, Paimon cries harder when she saw the colour of your vision starting to fade, knowing you couldn't make it.
"Paimon loves you, y/n", all you can do is cry, before your last breathe you hear Aether says "I promise you, we will meet again.. I love you"
Your vision faded, you fall into a deep sleep and everything turns dark.
----
"She's awake!"
"Call the doctor!"
You slowly opened your eyes, the bright light hurting your eyes, still adjusting to the surrounding. You could feel your tears were falling. Why did you cry? Then it hit you.
You were in the hospital.
You remember what happened, was that all just a dream? It feels real, way too real for your liking.
"Thank god, you're finally awake!" your mom sobs. Wait, your mom is here? You're finally back? You were supposed to be happy but why did you feel sad?
"H-how long did I... Sleep?" you asked, voice raspy as your throat lacks of hydration. Your mom gave you a glass of water and you gladly drink it, your throat still hurt.
"2 months now, you got hit by a car and the guy felt bad. He even insisted to pay for your bills", your mom says as she hold your hand. It's been a few minutes but you missed them. Aether and your little friend Paimon.
"Oh.." that's all you can say. You really don't know what to respond. You were happy that you're finally awake but you also missed people you met in Teyvat. Are they real or just your imagination?
"I forgot to tell you, the person who pays for your hospital bill will visit you. He always visits you when me and your dad is busy with work", you nodded your head, didn't have the energy to reply your mom back.
Suddenly, the door opens, revealing a tall man. You face him, only to widen your eyes as you were shocked to see the person in your dream.
"Childe?"
----
It's been a month since you got discharged from the hospital and been recovering well. You still struggle to walk on your own though, but nothing serious. Ever since you met childe, you both got along very well, not like the one in your dream.
"So... What I dreamed of during my coma was real?" You asked him, walking through the flowery path as the cherry blossom falls on the ground beside him arms clinging to his.
"Yeah. In fact, I'm still the same Childe in your dream!"
"Yeah as you wish. The only same thing is you keep paying things for me.. And being annoying"
You remarked. He only laughs and told you the reason why he keeps doing that is that it's the only kind action he could do, even now. But in reality, he felt guilty. He
"By the way, I want you to meet an old friend of mine. You won't mind right?"
"What's the point of asking me if you're going to introduce your friend to me now?"
"Geez woman, you're still the same"
you could only laugh at him. To you, he's a good friend but no one could replace Aether. If you met Childe, there's a possibility of you to meet Aether and Paimon right?
"Oi blondie! We're here!" Childe yelled, getting you out from your deep thoughts. You look up only to meet a pair of golden eyes that you've missed so much.
It feels like the time has stopped. He walked towards you and slowly, engulfed you in a hug. You were stunned, you meet him. You both found each other. You hugged him back, tightly. You let out tears of joy, he was relieved he found you that he also cried.
"You didn't forget me don't you?" You hear a feminine voice behind Aether, only to find Paimon crossing her arms, just like when you meet her for the first time. But what amazes you that she's in a different form. She looks... Like you. A woman.
Your eyes got teary again and went straight to her, giving her a big hug which she reciprocated. "I miss you so much Paimon" you burried your head into her neck. Paimon was happy she could meet her.
Childe and Aether could only look both of you with adoration. Aether cleared his throat, without looking at the man beside him, eyes still on you. "Thank you, if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't find her"
The red haired man could only smile, "it's no problem. I couldn't face anyone after what happened in Teyvat. Think of this as my way to apologize". Aether couldn't answer, he only nodded his head to let him know he's listening.
You went to him only get a hug from you. You missed him so much. And you noticed Aether doesn't have his long braided hair anymore, which saddens you because you always play and braid his hair.
"I noticed that you finally got rid of your annoyingly long hair", you teased him. You hear him chuckled as he tightened his grip around you. "Can't let the annoyingly long hair distract people sweetie. People found it weird here"
"But I like it though..." you blushed at the pet name he gave you. You both just couldn't let go of each other now. He strokes your hair, enjoying each others presence. "I'm so glad that I found you", "me too, I'm glad you're here".
The other two friend only watched you two reunited again, hugging each other and won't let each other go because you missed each other so much that you both are afraid one of you vanished anytime. But it's real.
"Childe can we get some sticky honey roast?"
"Good grief, paimon.."

Hi I’d like to request a matchup if they’re still open please! (If so, this may be a 3 or 4 part ask, if they're not open anymore then just ignore these asks!) I’m a straight female, around 5’4, with blue eyes, shoulder length brown hair that gets frizzy & curly in the humidity/when wet. I’m not into fashion unfortunately so I wear casual jeans & dark colored shirts usually. I prefer to plan things; excessive changes are hard for me to adjust to. I’m very independent, responsible, & reliable.
I’m sensitive & an overthinker, but tend to be logical still as I’m able to think things through from different perspectives before making decisions. I have attachment issues & can take a while to feel comfortable around someone new. I was born a Pisces & am INTJ personality type. My hobbies + things I like are walking trails, reading comics/manga/horror/fantasy books, watching youtube, going to the beach, browsing stores/bookstores, taking little road trips, learning new things, & napping. pt2
Watching and listening to everything in nature around me is relaxing as well especially since I live next to a river. An ideal partner would be someone I can feel safe around and protected by. Someone warm and who’ll be cuddly with me even if it’s just behind closed doors. He needs to be reliable, trustworthy, and patient with me. Hopefully someone with a few common interests. (pt3 final)
I match you with...
Jason Voorhees!
If you like the height difference, Jason is around 6'5 plus he would totally see you as a equal, not caring so much about height except when is a major factor for helping you. Grabbing something that you can't reach just makes him simply happy, bonus points for a blushy boy if you praise him or thank him.
Curly hair? He just loves the way it looks on you but he would be extremely shy to touch your hair or any other part of your body at the first stages of your relationship. You need to remind him that he can play with it or at least touch it. When he is more secure he would try new hairstyles almost daily in a very gentle way, he's a quick learner but at first your head was full of knots and failed braids. Sorry, Y/N, he never knew curly/frizzy hair would get like this so easily.
Jason would let you go to a near river in the camp if he's watching you from afar but is going to be harder if you want to go to the lake. Your style of clothes is great to live in the woods and staying with nature. Dark colours are a perfect blend with nature, blood and dirt is less noticeable in this tones.
Jason would like a partner who is independent and reliable like you. Apart from his insecurities that need so much patience and attention he needs someone who do things by their own so he can be secure with leaving you by yourself. Your INTJ personality brings this stability he needs.
He shares the fear trait of changes and meeting new people, so he would be very emphatic and patient with you. It would pass a year or more of knowing Jason before moving fully to the camp, he would let you stay a few days to explore the zone, always staring at you so nothing bad happens, of course. Nothing will hurt your sensible Pisces soul now, you can stay with Jason all the time you need to adjust and he would protect you faithfully.
You can have all the walks you want with him! He loves to grab your hand and wander around the area. Going outside with him would be harder because the times he left the camp didn't go as planned, but with many patience you can trick him into a store. Just DON'T TAKE HIM TO THE BEACH, that's a nono for him. Reading all types of books, watching different movies, napping and cuddling are his favourite things in the world to do with you. Read to him, please! He can teach you later many camp and outdoors activities to compensate.
I'm so happy to say that yours is my first match up, thanks for requesting :) Hope you like it!
