Avengers: Endgame First Thoughts

Spoilers under the cut!

Ok so mostly this movie is concerned with Tony, Steve and Thor. There’s even a flashback to Peter Quill even though he’s dusted. Like yes Rhodey calls him an idiot but come on it’s a gratuitous Peter Quill shot we didn’t need. 

There’s also a time jump where Bruce tries to get the Time stone from the Ancient One and honestly why didn’t they just have him get the stone from Wong? Like they could have avoided more whitewashing.

Okoye had like maybe a little over a minute of screentime. So the mystery of why they didn’t give her top billing is pretty much solved its because they hardly gave her any screentime. 

Rhodey is the one that they really could have played up more given him and Tony some more bromance moments. Like when Tony is dying they just give Rhodey and Tony a meaningful look before Peter Parker shoves his way in to tell Tony how much he’ll miss him. It was very annoying. 

I few things I did appreciate about the movie was shot of the all woman team up that foreshadows A-Force. It included Valkyrie and I think Okoye and Shuri so that’s awesome!!!

Another thing I think they could have improved upon is now that know that Shuri and T’challa were both dusted we could have seen Ramonda serving as Queen Regent.

I do appreciate that Sam got the shield! And that Valkyrie got to be Queen of Asgard!
