#The last moment in this fandom I actually felt like cheering

hi there!! I'm new here, and I really like your writing lol. There's not a whole male reader stuff in the tf2 fandom from what I've seen, like, at all, and you're writing is just- skandnsns *so* good-
Anyways, uh, I'm sorry if you're not taking requests right now, I only just found your blog about a month ago, but I wanted to send in smt if that's okay??
Anyways, I was wonderin' if you could write something with the mercs, with a reader who has a panic attack the first time they respawn?
Like, maybe their a recent recruit, and they somehow haven't died on the battlefield yet?? The feeling of dying is probably horrible, that moment of not being able to breath, before nothing, even after respawning, so maybe after the match they skink off by themselves, not even noticing how off their acting as they leave. Platonic or romantic is fine lol. Sorry if I worded this weird, or it's too long, I've never really requested smt before
Anyways, love your writing dude!!
First Respawn || TF2 Mercs x M!Reader
can be read as platonic or romantic
Context: You and another merc were actually doing pretty well together- since you were assigned to shadow the more experienced people to really figure out how to fight and travel efficiently. Both of you were caught off guard by an enemy Heavy, who killed you both.
Scout
Jeremy respawned with a fit of curses and a stretching routine, yammering on about how Heavys shouldn't be allowed to sneak around. Then, he looked over to you. You were frantically touching over your chest and legs, desperately searching for the wounds you just felt agonizingly rip you from life. Jeremy bit the inside of his cheek before he crouched down to where you were.
"Hey man, 's'all good. That's respawn for you! You can never die here!" Scout explained lightheartedly.
"I- I felt-" A wrapped finger pressed against your lips, followed by a look of understanding and underlying discomfort.
"Shh, I know. I can't stand it either, but you don't really have a choice. You either just don't die or you bite your tongue and power through, kay? If the bosslady sees us chit-chattin', we'll both be in trouble!" Jeremy pulled you to stand up and shoved your weapon into your arms. "We can talk about it later, I'm really sorry pal."
Soldier
You and Jane were quickly executed and brought back to spawn. For Soldier, it was just another death. It's not like it meant anything! He quickly gathered his weapon and charged out, only to return a few seconds later.
"ON YOUR FEET, PRIVATE! UNLESS THOSE LEGS ARE BROKEN, OUR COUNTRY EXPECTS US TO FIGHT!" He tried to encourage you.
"I just died!" You wheeze out, more shocked than anything. "I'm dead! I got killed! I-"
Soldier yanked you to your feet and dragged you out to the battle field again, much to your scrambled protests.
"TEUFORT IS ALL ABOUT DYING AND COMING BACK! WE CAN LIVE FOREVER HERE!"
From somewhere you can't quite make out, you hear your Medic start to shout: "We are not living forever! Just unkillable!"
Pyro
Pyro had never seen a reaction like that before for respawn. They had seen anger, frustration- well, mostly anger. They watched carefully as tears streamed down your eyes as you sunk to the ground. You seemed... shell shocked? It was hard to really see through the pink clouds and mishearing your sobs as baby's laughter, but Pyro could definitely tell that something was up.
They placed a gentle hand on your shoulder, then pat your head softly with a humming of an upbeat tune. You didn't know the Pyro well, but from what you had heard from Engie and Medic, this was a definite attempt to comfort you. With one last sniffle, Pyro pointed to the doors with an excited cheer. You knew you had a job to do and not enough time in the day to do it in.
Pyro kept you close and looked around a lot more once out on the field as they hid you from most people's sight.
Demoman
As much as you and Tavish were friends off the clock, he really could be too daft. You gasped as you respawned, coughing violently. Tavish turned to you with a confused expression, but realized immediately that- oh shit, that was your first respawn. Demoman pulled you close and cradled you tight with a murmuring for you to follow his deep breaths.
"Right-o, breeeeathe. In... Out... Good job, just deep breaths." Tavish sighed quietly as he led you out of the spawn room and to a more private location. "That's respawn. You can't die here- but it's a hell of a thing to get used to it is. Sit back and hide while you calm down. If anyone notices a dip in my killstreak, I'd get a paycut."
As asshole-ish as it was for him to leave you, you really understood. He had a mother to take care of, after all. At least he talked to you after in detail about the functions along with Engineer and Medic.
Heavy
Heavy immediately noticed the nervous shakes that wracked through your body as life seemed to be thrust back into your arms just as quickly as it was torn away. Mikhail sighed and patted your back- a little too roughly for your liking, but the height and power difference was most likely to blame for that.
"It is... not easy to start- jarring? Yes, jarring at start." Mikhail sympathizes. "Deep breathing, we won't let it happen again." He promised as he nudged Sasha towards you. All you could offer was a weak smile as tears forced themselves down your cheeks.
Heavy felt a pang of guilt for needing to go right back to work, especially when his charge was so broken up about literally dying (it was reasonable, after all.), but orders were orders and the mouths of his family couldn't be fed by wasting time. He kept you close as he refused to keep you out of his sight at all- protecting you from any further harm.
Engineer
"Dag-nabbit! Those big guys should- oh." Dell watched as you started to hyperventilate and quickly rushed you to the intel room for a bit more privacy.
"Here, we can set up a few sentries here. Hide under the desk while I'm gone, okay? I'll be right back son." Was all you really could hear as you scrambled over to the desk with shakes and sobs deafening you to the outside world. It felt like hours, but finally a warm presence enveloped you. Dell stroked your hair and shushed you softly as you worked through the thrill of revival.
"I bet that was a scare, huh? Don't you worry. Me and Medic worked extra hard on these machines. You're gonna be safe in my hands, son. Don't you worry one lil' bit."
Spy
He rolled his eyes as you tried to feel for the now-healed bullet wounds, but deep down, he knew that he did the exact same thing on his first respawn. Half heartedly, he offered you a cigarette.
"It takes your mind off it- are you allergic to cannabis?"
How the hell did he manage to smuggle marijuana into a military establishment?! Wasn't this one of the most secure bases of Mann. Co?! Nevertheless, in moreso an act of desperation rather than actual desire to smoke, you deeply inhaled the smoke... Only to cough so loud and violently that you accidentally made yourself throw up.
Your superior was not impressed at the sight.
"I'm never letting you smoke my cigarettes again."
Medic
Ludwig was just how you expected him to be as you crumpled to your knees. He bragged about his amazing invention in an attempt to comfort you. A gloved hand brushed over your chest at where the bullets were with a manic smile.
"See! No holes! Quite the genius invention, yes?" He hummed happily. "Now, I know the adrenaline is still in your veins from well- dying- but that is more of a boost for when you get back out on the field!"
"Boost?! Back Out?! Hell no!" You protested as you scrambled away from Ludwig. "I fucking died!"
He clicked his tongue with an unamused expression. "Only temporarily- I'd argue not at all! Your heart barely stopped!"
You decided to keep your emotions and arguments to yourself.
Sniper
"How the hell did the big guy even get into my nest? Probably broke the ladder climbin'- you alright?"
You clearly weren't.
"Awe shit, yeah. Probably your first time kickin' the bucket." He muttered, mostly to himself as he crouched down to speak to you at eye level.
"Don't be too frazzled, chickadee. It's not the Heavy's you'll be worrying about mostly when you stick with me. At least the other Spy is efficient about the backstabs. I barely even feel 'em half the time."
You knew he was trying to be comforting, but it really just... didn't work too well.

Hi, may I ask about the bachelor au please and thank you:3
omg yes. i made a post once about how unhinged a dreamling Bachelor au would be, and then i actually started writing it XD
it's a bit messy/unformatted right now, because it's a sort of outsider POV structure where it alternates between scenes from the TV show and chat commentary from the internet fandom who are watching 😂 hopefully one day I'll actually write all of it
A scene from probably the last/second-to-last episode of the season. The final two "contestants" in the show were Hob (who Morpheus keeps insisting he doesn't have feelings for despite everything he does proving otherwise) and Thessaly.
--
Morpheus leans on the railing, hunched in on himself. Rain pelts down onto his head, flattening his hair and soaking his clothes. Hob steps out through the sliding door, heedless of the rain, to stand beside him, and rests a hand on Morpheus’s back. Hob: Didn’t work out, then? His voice is softer than usual, almost inaudible over the rain. Not playful, or teasing, as it so often is with Morpheus, it’s just… gentle. Morpheus: She… decided… that she no longer loved me. Hob: Poor darling. Again, it’s not teasing, only a bit… sad. Morpheus: I suppose this means that you win. Hob: Yup. Morpheus curls into him, pressing his face into Hob’s chest with a sob. Hob catches him, wraps his arms around his shoulders, and holds him tight. Hob presses a kiss into his hair. Low enough that it’s clearly intended not to be picked up by the mics, he says— Hob: It’s alright, baby. It’s okay, it’s okay— —as Morpheus keeps crying.
INTERVIEW — HOB Hob’s expression is lacking its usual cheer and mischief. His hair is still wet, as though he’s only recently come in out of the rain. Hob: So I guess I won? Interviewer: You don’t sound happy about it. It takes a moment for Hob to respond. He bites his lip in thought, then sighs. Hob: I— it was just supposed to be a game. I thought— I thought we felt the same way about it, I thought— I didn’t even care if I won at first? So it was just for fun, just this totally ridiculous nightmare of a— He scrubs a hand over his face, messing up his hair. Hob: Seeing Dream like that, I didn’t realize, I didn’t realize what it— Interviewer: ‘Dream’? Hob: Hm? Interviewer: You called him Dream. Hob: Did I?

Josh being in love with an oblivious reader and the twins are alive and trying to create situations to get them together 👉👈👉👈👉👈
Best Day Ever
Tumblr media
Picture lightly edited by me.
Pairing: Josh Washington X Fem!Reader Description: After a spur of the moment decision, Josh takes you and his sisters to a carnival. Hannah and Beth decide to take this opportunity to push you and Josh together, since Josh has had a massive crush on you for a long time and has been too afraid to make a move... Warnings: Fluff, Maybe A Pinch Of Angst, Kind Of Mutual Pining (But Very Intense On One Side. 👀), Friends Turning Into Beautiful Lovers. Word Count: 4.8k (I haven't written a fic this long in quite a while. 😅) A/N: This took an embarrassing amount of time, I know. I was just in no mind state to write and I wanted it to be perfect, so I decided to wait. And it took even longer because when I was editing it one last time, the final copy got deleted so I had to reedit the whole thing and rewrite the parts I had added in there. @108garys requested a carnival fic for Josh a few days prior to this request, so I got the idea to combine them together. I hope that's ok. 🥺👉🏻👈🏻 This is actually my old Jalim fic, Just For Fun, too. I always wanted to rewrite it because I felt like it could have been better than what it was. So, when I got the opportunity to do this, I decided to finally do it and I am happy with the results. Anon requester and @108garys, I want to thank you for giving me this request. It really made me happy, knowing that people wanted me to write a fic for them, especially when I was so new to the Until Dawn fandom. Anyway, I'll quit my rambling now. I hope you all enjoy. 💖 Josh's MasterList: 🖤 Main MasterList: 🖤 Josh's Angels: @lorebite, @house-of-kolchek, @koexchange, @yesitsloulou, @mistmoose, @jasonexo, @mornandil, @fortune-fool02, and @raven-the-cryptid. Me, (Y/N), Hannah and Beth were driving from the store one sunny afternoon. We weren't there long; only to grab some microwave popcorn and chips for a movie we were planning to watch. It was a short trip but everybody insisted on going along for the ride. It was nice, having the three most important women in my life with me. Even if it was just something as simple as going to the grocery store, it was memories like these that I cherished the most.
The ride was pretty silent other than a song playing quietly on the radio, but it was nice — it was peaceful. A couple of minutes passed and we drove passed a carnival. That's when I noticed (Y/N) turning her head to look out her window.
"Oh, looks like they set up a carnival for the weekend." I mentioned, just to see how she would react.
"Yeah, I noticed." She said just barely above a whisper whilst still staring out her window. "Haven't been to one in years."
"Jesus, us neither." Beth spoke up in the back.
"Probably since we were sixteen." Hannah recalled quietly.
I sat in silence and pondered for a minute, taking my eyes off of the road for a quick moment to watch (Y/N) whilst chewing on the inside of my cheek. She looked sad — or maybe disappointed. Now that I had thought about it, I hadn't been to a carnival in such a long time. We really weren't in too much of a hurry to get back and I was sure that the movie could wait.
"You wanna go?" I finally asked and she took her eyes off the window to gaze at me with uncertainty.
"W-What? No, we can't. We have groceries in the back seat." She looked down at her hands folded in her lap, her lips turned down into a disappointed frown.
"Oh, fuck yeah!" Beth cheered behind me, startling me and nearly making me jump out of my seat. I shook my head as I let a short chuckle roll passed my lips.
"The groceries can wait. Nothing's gotta go in the fridge." I mused. "It'll be fun."
Before she opened her mouth to protest again, I turned the car around and drove in the direction of the small carnival before us. I pulled into a free parking spot, got out and rounded the side of the car before opening the door for (Y/N) and giving her my hand to help her up. Her eyes lit up with wonder as she studied the crowds and the attractions around her.
"What should we do first?" She asked me as we walked in, hand in hand, to ensure that we would not get separated.
We had done this before but only so we don't get separated in big crowds because (Y/N) hates to be alone. I wish it meant more to her than that. I wish she knew that when I held her hand, it's not just because I don't want to lose her in a big crowd…
"Fuck, I don't know! I'm so excited, I can't think!" Beth said eagerly with nothing but pure excitement in her voice and I chuckled at her enthusiasm. "This is going to be the best day ever!"
"I'm excited too." (Y/N) giggled. "What do you think, Josh?"
"I don't know. We haven't had lunch yet — you wanna get something to eat? My treat." I suggested as I pulled out my wallet and smiled kindly at her.
"Yeah, I am pretty hungry." Hannah expressed and I nodded before grabbing plucking out a twenty. Luckily, I went to an atm before heading to the store and had enough cash on me for the day.
"Yeah, I'd love that." (Y/N) expressed. A look of adoration melted into her soft eyes as she gazed up at me for a moment and I swear, it made my heart stop. I felt heat creep within my cheeks and I looked away quickly, hoping she wouldn't notice.
We went to the nearest food stall and I ordered some burgers, some fries and Pepsis for us all. After, we found a bench close by and sat down with our lunches. (Y/N) took a bite out of her burger and her eyes lit up before closing to appreciate the taste.
"This is amazing!" She took another big bite. "I forgot how good carnival food is!"
I couldn't help but smile at how happy she was over something as simple as a burger. I admired how she enjoyed the small things in life. Even something as small as food could cast the biggest smile on her face.
"Jesus! Ok, Josh! You are taking all three of us to carnivals more often! It's a must!" Beth declared before taking a bite out of her own burger.
"Yeah, you'll have to become that big movie producer fast so you'll have enough money to splurge on us!" I couldn't help but full out laugh at Hannah's comment and, by the looks of it, (Y/N) and Beth couldn't either.
"(Y/N), back in California, we have the biggest fairs and carnivals! Like rollercoasters that could last an hour, I swear to God!" Beth mused once she calmed down from her fit of giggles, wiping a tear from her eye as she did so. (Y/N)'s eyes widened before she turned to look at me for conformation and I nodded as a smile crept upon my lips.
"Shit! Yeah, I have to see that!" She giggled excitedly in agreement.
Beth finished her meal first and waited a minute until (Y/N) was finished before taking her hand and nearly dragging her off the bench.
"We have to go do something really quick." She said and both me and (Y/N) raised a brow in confusion.
"What about me?" Hannah asked, a frown forming where her smile used to be from being left out.
"If you weren't such a slow eater, then you could come too." Beth teased and Hannah's lips turned up into an awkward smile as she adjusted her glasses.
She always did that when she felt nervous.
"Well, Jesus! At least she paces herself — unlike some of us." I said, gesturing to Beth and she scoffed.
"I would watch yourself, big brother." She approached me slowly as a mischievous look formed in her eyes. I clenched what little I had left of my burger in my hands, in fear that I was about to lose it. "You know, I'm shocked — you're usually the fastest eater out of all three of us."
She stopped right in front of me and froze for a moment, making me feel both confused and worried. Before I could even attempt to react, she booped my nose and when I winced, she plucked the remainder of my burger from my hands and pushed it all in her mouth, smiling wickedly at me as her cheeks puffed out as if she was a chipmunk.
She skipped off with (Y/N) and I yelled a threatening, "I'll get you back for this!" Over my shoulder and I just barely caught Beth giving me the finger as she walked away.
I stayed seated on the bench with Hannah and watched all the children playing before us. I began imagining what it would be like taking my children to the carnival, watching their excited expressions as they went on all the rides and ate as many sweets as they could while (Y/N) is scolding me for giving them too many. Aw hell, who was I kidding? (Y/N) was just as much of a push over as I was. We would all probably spend the night with stomach aches. I was so deep in thought about my future that I failed to notice the small smile on my lips as I watched the children play.
"You can't fool me." I heard Hannah speak up beside me as she nudged my shoulder with her own. She had closed the little distance between us so she was sitting by my side now, finishing up her food as she watched the children play as well. "You can put on that "player" act all you want, but I know the real you. I see the way you look at (Y/N). Face it Joshy — you're smitten."
"What? Nah!" I scoffed with a roll of my eyes and Hannah rolled hers as well. Why do siblings gotta be so good at reading each other?
"You are with her every day, you talk about her constantly during the times you aren't and you can't tell me that you wouldn't do absolutely anything for her." She accused. "And you also can't tell me that you weren't just imagining those kids over there as your own."
I stayed silent for a moment, realizing that my sister was right. She knew that that front I always put up was a lie. I had always wanted a family of my own, and I think I had finally found the girl that I wanted to start it with — if only I had the fucking balls to tell her how I felt.
"Well, lil sis — I think you might just be right." I muttered, mind only half in reality as I pondered actually telling her that I had feelings for her.
"Look what I got!" Beth sang behind us and I jumped, hoping that her and (Y/N) did not just hear my confession. I turned to see them both holding cotton candies and, judging by their facial expressions, they didn't hear a thing. They handed me and Hannah ours before sitting down beside us on the bench.
"It's so sweet." (Y/N) said as she licked her lips. My eyes lingered on them for a second, admiring how soft they looked before I noticed Beth smirking at me out of the corner of my eye.
"Sure is!" I agreed, turning my attention back to (Y/N). "But, not as sweet as you."
She giggled at my comment and Hannah and Beth made gagging sounds. After we finished eating our cotton candy, we decided to go on some rides. Can't go to a carnival and not go on the rides, right? After all, it's good to get the heart racing every now and then.
After walking around for awhile and trying to agree on what we would all go on first, my eyes met the one that I was definitely not going to skip. I pointed at the Drop Tower, "Yes! We're doing that!" I demanded as I pulled on (Y/N)'s arm.
"I don't know, Josh…" She looked up at it reluctantly and then looked at me, a worried expression on her now pale face. Hannah and Beth walked up beside us and looked up at the tower as well. Hannah looked so pale that I already knew her answer, and Beth looked so excited that I thought she'd for sure join us. But then that excitement in her eyes turned into mischief as she peered over at me and (Y/N).
'What is she up to?' I thought to myself as I glanced at my sister out of the corner of my eye.
"I think I'll sit this one out. (Y/N), why don't you try it? Josh will be there to protect you." She nudged my shoulder and I glared back at her. I couldn't believe she was going to do this — she was going to leave us alone to push us together.
"But Beth, you love these kinds of rides." I said through gritted teeth, giving my sister the 'don't you fucking dare' look. She just smirked at me and then turned her attention back to (Y/N).
"Come on! It'll be fun! Please? I just know you'll love it!" She begged her like a bratty little child.
(Y/N) heaved a sighed. "Fine."
We got strapped in and before we knew it, the ride started to go up. (Y/N) closed his eyes as tightly as she could while her fingers clenched the safety bars and I couldn't help but feel bad for getting her in this situation that she very clearly didn't want to be in.
We got strapped in and before we knew it, the ride started to go up. (Y/N) closed his eyes as tightly as she could while her fingers clenched the safety bars.
We were finally at the top and I never felt more alive. The adrenaline felt better than any drug I have ever taken. I wanted to throw my hands in the air and scream it to the world.
"This is awesome!" I yelled with a laugh following my words. (Y/N), however, did not look like she shared my enthusiasm. Her eyes were still clenched shut and she now was shaking like a leaf! Now, I could have been my usual cocky self and acted all brave in front of her, as I usually did. But seeing her this scared hurt my heart.
So, instead of acting like 'the big man', I decided to look down and scream at the top of my lungs, "FUCK! SHIT! OH, HELL NO!"
She bursted out laughing at my reaction and just by looking at the sweet smile on her beautiful face, I knew that all the teasing I was going to get from Hannah and Beth was worth it. The ride dropped down and I screamed again but more dramatic and dragged out compared to the last time.
I got off of the ride first, staggering a bit to make (Y/N) giggle before giving her my hand to help her down. Then we headed back into the crowd of people to find my sisters.
"That was fun!" (Y/N) smiled up at me and I felt my heart swell.
"Hey, big brother! Have any vocal cords left after that big performance you gave the whole park up there?" Beth teased with her famous cocky smirk plastered on her face and I literally bit my tongue to hold back my bitter reply that was practically pushing through the seam of my lips.
"Yeah, you sounded like you were being chased by some blood-thirsty monster or something!" Hannah laughed and I rolled my eyes. But (Y/N) giggled as well and I remembered that it was worth all the torture just to hear it.
'Remember her smile. Just remember her fucking smile.' I thought to repress the urge to give my sisters nice Indian burns on each of their arms.
"How about some games?" I attempted to change the subject as I pointed over at the game booths. The girls snickered as they followed me, reminding me that although I was able to change the subject now, it didn't change the fact that I would be getting the worse of it later.
We walked up to a target shooting game and I slammed a few dollars down on the counter.
"This is gonna be too easy." I smirked. The carny took the money and handed me the gun.
"You get three tries. If you get three out of three, you get a big prize. If you get two, you get a medium prize. You get one, you get a small prize." The carny explained and I nodded.
I aimed the gun at the target and after a few moments of making sure the tip of my gun was perfectly aligned with the target and Beth nagging at me from behind, I fired… And missed. I felt my cheeks heat up from extreme embarrassment because I could hear the giggling of three girls behind me. I fired again and missed, letting out a frustrated grunt and cursing under my breath.
"Need me to show ya how it's done?" Beth teased as she patted my shoulder and I glared at her. She put her hands up in defense as she let out a chuckle. But I could see in her eyes that she regretted nothing. After letting my eyes linger on (Y/N) for a moment, I looked back at the target.
I really needed to focus this time. I aimed for the target one last time, fired, and missed again.
"Fuck!" I slammed my hand down on the counter. Being a perfectionist, this was frustrating as all fucking hell.
And it was even more frustrating because I knew my way around a gun. Growing up, I spent a lot of time fucking around at the shooting range at our lodge, so I was a pretty sharp shooter. But (Y/N)'s gaze heavy on my back was making me nervous as all fuck.
"It's ok, Josh. You're probably still lightheaded from the ride." (Y/N) spoke softly beside me as she placed her hand gently on my tense shoulder.
"How's this; I'll give you one last chance — if you hit the smallest target, I'll give you the big prize." The carny offered while smiling kindly at me and I nodded in agreement.
I aimed for the smallest target, took a moment to make sure I was perfectly aligned with it, and took a deep breath. I had to get it this time. I closed my eyes, carefully squeezed the trigger and the gun went off with a loud bang one last time. I opened my eyes and my heart jumped into my throat.
"Fuck, Yes!" I yelled excitedly.
I fucking got it.
I hugged (Y/N), who had been clapping beside me to cheer on my victory. The carny handed me a big, fluffy, black teddy bear with a red bow around it's neck and a big red heart between it's paws that said, 'love'. I didn't hesitate to give it to (Y/N).
"—For you." I declared proudly. Her eyes went wide and her mouth fell agape.
"Really?" She looked unsure for a moment as she hesitantly took the bear from my hands.
"Of course! I have to give you the prize, since you're my biggest cheerleader." I nudged her shoulder playfully and she blushed as she hugged the bear while smiling up at me.
"Hey, love birds!" Beth called out to us and I mentally face palmed at her ruining our moment.
'Dammit, Beth!' For all I knew, it could have turned into our first kiss.
"Don't mind her." Hannah rolled her eyes with a chuckle. "We were wondering if you guys wanted to continue going on some other rides?"
"Sure! Why not?" I agreed before following my sisters to their next ride of choice.
We decided to go on some calmer rides, since Hannah had a weak stomach. The Carousel was Hannah's first choice because she loved the horses. When I went to sit on the horse beside Beth's, Hannah pushed passed me and jumped on it before signaling behind her. I looked behind me to see (Y/N) already on her horse and the one beside her empty. I glared at my sisters, seeing right through their little plan and went to sit beside (Y/N). Not that I'm complaining though — we had a good time and it was pretty fun.
And then, after that, we tried the Bumper Cars. Me and Beth got a little too competitive there, ending in a couple of cars getting a bit damaged. After awhile, Hannah and (Y/N) stayed parked on the sidelines and watched the shitshow of a war that me and Beth created in the middle. She will never admit it, but I clearly won that round.
And we also tried the darts game, where (Y/N) won a small, light brown puppy plushy that had really big and buggy sad eyes.
"Ha! It looks just like you! It's got those big—" Beth couldn't finish, because I interrupted her quickly, trying to avoid being embarrassed for the— however many times it's been today.
"DON'T!" I growled as my eye shot daggers towards my sister.
"But you didn't let me finish, big brother." She smiled innocently and I looked over to Hannah and (Y/N), who also looked weary of Beth's attitude as well.
"Fine… Go ahead…" I sighed, defeated and finally accepting my fate.
"It's got those big bug-eyes, just like yours!" She reached up and patted me on the head and I clenched my teeth. I glared at Beth and Hannah held the toy up beside my face.
"It's uncanny!" Hannah laughed and I just about ripped the toy right out of her grasp.
"No need to be a smart-ass!" I grumbled as I folded my arms across my chest.
"Oh, but it's cute." (Y/N) chuckled as she took the small toy from Hannah. I felt a familiar heat creep upon my cheeks as she spoke and turned to look at me with a softness in her eyes that could bring light to any dark heart.
"Really?" I said, barely above a whisper after swallowing thickly.
"Yeah." Her voice was so soft, it almost made me cry.
"Uhhhhh— W–Why don't we try the haunted house?! That should be fun, r–right?" I attempted to change the subject as I tore my eyes away from hers. The girls agreed and we headed towards the ride.
Of course — as I expected — Hannah and Beth ditched me and (Y/N) for their own cart, leaving me alone with her YET AGAIN! I didn't know how much more I could take. I loved being around her — don't get me wrong — but for the last month, my little crush on her had been growing stronger and being alone with her was painfully awkward, especially since she didn't even realize that I had feelings for her. Nope! After all the regular compliments I gave her, she still hadn't figured it out! Well — to be fair — I make comments towards lots of girls but those are different. Those are just dumb sex jokes I make to be funny and sometimes weird people out. With her, it's different — it means something. I just wish she knew that.
Maybe I shouldn't be so annoyed with Hannah and Beth trying to put me in these awkward situations. They just want me to be happy. But what people don't know is that I'm a lot more insecure than I let on. Yup! That's right! Mr. Bone Zone isn't so confident after all! So shocking, right? So, being alone with a girl as pretty as (Y/N) is basically fucking torture for me.
Our cart began to move towards the entrance to the ride and I sneakily put my arm around (Y/N). It was a bold move but I had to do something! I felt her tense and for a minute, I thought it was because of my arm and I went to pull away before realizing that it wasn't my arm at all, it was because she was scared.
As our cart moved throughout the ride, I noticed her getting more and more tense. I then shuffled closer to her and she — I am assuming subconsciously — leaned into my body, as if she was hoping for my protection. I instinctively wrapped my arms around her and began explaining how each prop was made and every gory and ghostly illusion was done. It seemed to calm her and she eventually relaxed into my embrace — just another perk to having a father in the film industry.
Once the ride began to slow — or as I like to say: the calm before the storm — she began to melt into my arms and rested her head on my chest. Trying so hard to keep it cool, I rested my head on top of her's and closed my eyes, enjoying the moment of peace we had.
"Thank you, Josh." She whispered and I felt my heart stammer a little, until— "You're a good friend."
'Fuck! You're kidding, right?!'
I felt my heart drop at her words and squeezed my eyes shut as hard as I could, trying to ignore the disappointment and small bit of heartbreak I was enduring. The ride eventually came to an end and we were greeted by Beth and a very pale Hannah, who looked as if she was about to vomit. Laughing and trying to ignore what had just happened, I wrapped my arm around my little sister to give her a comforting side-hug before we continued on to do something new.
A few hours later, we all decided to go on the Ferris Wheel before finally going home. Again, Hannah and Beth insisted on going on their own cart, leaving me and (Y/N) alone for what I was hoping was the last time today. After being taken to the worst zone of all — the 'friend zone' — I really didn't want to be left alone with her any longer.
We reached the top and (Y/N) leaned into my side and I subconsciously wrapped my arm around her shoulders. It was dark out now and the park was lit up by all the lights from the rides and the games. It was a breathtaking view and judging by the smile on (Y/N)'s face, she thought so as well. She rested her head on my shoulder and I froze, not knowing what to do.
"It's beautiful." She whispered as her beautiful eyes lit up from the lights of the park and I couldn't help but notice how they illuminated her face just right, showing off her best features.
"Just like you." I murmured without a second thought. But her body tensing up and the sudden movement of her pulling away from me made me snap out of whatever fucking trance I was in at the moment.
"W–What?" She stuttered her question as nothing but pure shock painted over her calm expression that her face held only second ago.
"Oh— Uh— I was just saying— You know, like I always do?" I tried to brush it off but the look on her face told me she didn't believe me.
"You never said it quite like that before." Her voice was barely above a whisper. And in that moment, I knew I couldn't keep it from her any longer.
"(Y/N)… There is something I have to tell you…" I admitted as I looked down at my shoes, terrified to meet her gaze. "I like you — a lot. Hell, I might even love you! I'm sorry, but I can't hold back my feelings any longer."
After a few seconds of silence that felt like hours, I decided to glance up — only to see her staring at me with an even more shocked expression. Her eyes were wide, mouth agape, pale; she looked like she had just come out of a horror movie!
"I–I had no idea, Josh…" She whispered as she looked down at her hands that were now folded in her lap as she picked at her nails nervously. I fucking knew it was coming to a rejection. I wasn't too familiar with the whole thing. Babes would go with me even if they didn't like me, just because I had money. But I knew (Y/N) was better than that. And I knew that because of that, I was going to lose her.
"I'm sorry if this has ruined things between us." I look away from her, mentally kicking myself for being so dumb. But then I felt two soft hands over my own. I hesitantly peered back at her to see her staring at me with warmth in her eyes that no fire could create and a smile that could bring me back to life if I had died.
"I never said that it did. I like you too, Josh — a lot, actually. I just didn't think that you liked me back." She explained and my eyes widened in shock.
"Y–You like me too?"
"Yeah!"
"Holy shit!" I yelled excitedly, standing up but then remembering that I was hundreds of feet in the air, so I quickly sat back down, making her giggle. "S–So, you'll be my girlfriend then?"
"Of course, silly!" She chuckled and with that being said, I placed a gentle kiss upon her soft lips. Finally, I have gotten what I have truly desired for so long.
'I'll have to thank Hannah and Beth for this later.' I made a mental note after we broke away from the kiss after a minute or two. She rested her head on my shoulder and I rested mine on top of hers as we enjoyed the rest of the ride.
Driving home, we were all exhausted from the day we had. I looked in the rear view mirror to see Hannah and Beth, completely knocked out from exhaustion and I just chuckled to myself — it was the first time Beth had been quiet that day.
Then I looked over to (Y/N) — who was fast asleep in the passenger seat while cuddling her bear with a big smile on her face. My heart felt so warm at the sight of how happy my girl was.
And nothing has ever made me happier.
It truly was the best day ever.

Hiiii! I’ve been hesitant to ask because I’m not sure if you’re in this fandom, but could you do a fic for Suki from ATLA? Definitely older cause she’s like sixteen in the series, but one where Reader is Katara/Sokka’s older sister and she instantly falls for Suki. (Reader has a thing for women who can knock her out) Have her be a secret water bender (ya know, cause Katara) and like Suki catches her bending. Reader begs her not to tell and Suki is like “only if you let me train you.”
Maybe a smut scene after practice, it’s totally up to you! But I would love it if you wrote this, I love your Arcane work! Oh! And Reader has loooong curly hair like past her butt! Thank you!
Can You Keep a Secret?
Suki x Fem!POC!Reader
Tumblr media
Author Note: You don’t understand the excitement I felt seeing an ATLA request! Writing this helped my writer’s block, too, so thank you for that! I am in both fandoms ATLA and TLOK! I have also read the Kyoshi novels for future reference ;)
Warnings: ATLA Spoilers (Season 1, Episode 4), Young & Dumb Sokka, Older Suki, Waterbender!Reader, Accidental flashing, Cute Flirting, Teasing, Playful Training, Suki kicks your ass and you’re into it, First Time, Hickeys, Fingering, Praise/Compliments
Summary: You tried your best to hide your bending, but Suki managed to find out within a few hours. You beg her to keep the secret and she agrees… only if you let her train you.

Your head was spinning from the events that happened within the last few days. Not only did your little sister find the Avatar, but you nearly got a face full of fire! It didn’t help that you were hiding your bending ability. You wanted to drown that stupid kid for attacking your family. He was lucky that Aang came in when he did, or you would have sunk him under the ice. Then there was the heartbreaking revelation at the Air Temple… so, it’s actually relieving to you that Aang wanted to go on a little break. You were also really enjoying traveling by Bison. You really enjoyed feeling the wind in your hair. It also helped that if you found the right spot, you couldn’t hear them talking over the loudness of the wind. It was your favorite place to take a nap until you shifted over.
“Stop bugging her, airhead.” This is the first thing you hear as you tune back into the conversation, causing you to open your eyes, “You need to give girls space when they’re doing their sewing.” You raise an eyebrow at that. ‘Where did he get that from?’
“What does me being a girl have to do with sewing?” Katara asks.
“Yeah, little bro.” Sokka jolts as he realizes you’re awake and listening, “What does being a girl have to do with that?” He’s silent for a moment as he tries to figure out the words to say.
“Simple. Girls are better at fixing pants than guys, and guys are better at hunting and fighting and stuff like that.” He shrugs, “It’s just the natural order of things.” Your eyes feel like they’re going to pop out of their head as you look at your brother in disbelief.
“Really?” You say coldly, “I guess I should stop hunting then since I’m so horrible at it.”
“I’m all done with your pants and look what a great job I did!” Katara says too sweetly, tossing his pants at him. They hit him in the face and he panics, realizing that there’s still a hole in them. He looks to you for help, but you close your eyes and pretend to go back to sleep. What he said concerned you. Where did he get those ideas from when you were the main caretaker of the family? You hunted, gathered firewood, and took care of everyone. That’s why you were so reluctant to leave in the first place. Your people needed you, but Gran Gran was persuasive.
By the time you landed, you wanted nothing to do with the group. Sokka and Katara had been bickering nearly the whole time while Aang kept trying to get your sister’s attention. You found it funny at first, watching this kid try to impress your sister while not knowing how to interact with her. You were silently cheering him on but it was painful.
“I’m going to go over there. Spirits know I need a moment to myself.” You point off to the side where there is a bit more of a private area, “Don’t do anything stupid.” You pointedly look at Sokka.
“Why are you looking at me?!” Sokka protests, “You should be saying that to Katara! She’s already done stupid things!”
“Oh, really?” Katara scoffs, “Like what?” You watch them bicker for a moment before shaking your head. ‘They wonder why I’m always hunting.’
“Don’t you want to see the Elephant Koi?” Aang asks you.
“No, I’m good. I’ll check them out later since we’re camping here.” You give him a reassuring smile. You glance at the two behind him who are still arguing and roll your eyes. There wasn’t a moment where your siblings weren’t at each other’s throats. It got tiring trying to be the mediator so you stopped. You just let them hash it out. You walk away from the group, looking forward to getting a little bit of alone time.
Now in a private place, you pull off your coat and strip down to your undergarments. You would have invited Katara along but between Aang wanting to impress her and your social flame going low, you chose against it. ‘Some peace.’ You smile to yourself. You find a place to sit in the sand and get comfortable. The sand was warm, already heated up from the sun, and felt wonderful on your skin. You sigh in contentment, laying back to enjoy the area's warmth. If you were back home, you would’ve been bundled up to avoid the cold. It didn’t bother you much, but it got frustrating sometimes. Having a chance to show some skin and not have the possibility of freezing to death is wonderful. You were excited to travel the world, even if you’d miss Gran Gran back at home.
You were probably lying down for a total of five minutes before you heard screaming. Your eyes snap open and you jump up from the sand. You’re sprinting back to the group before your mind can even process it. You gasp in shock seeing a giant sea serpent chasing Aang across the water. Your fingers flex, itching to jump into the water and help him as you get to the bank with your siblings. It wasn’t necessary though as Aang comes flying out of the water and collides with Sokka. You flinch as they get thrown back into the trees.
“Sokka! Aang!” You shout, running to them with Katara. You give Sokka a concerned look seeing him slumped against a tree while Aang looked fine.
“What was that thing?” Katara questions.
“I don’t know.” Aang responds, putting his clothes on.
“It might have been a sea serpent of some kind.” You put a hand on your hip, “Dad used to warn me that some hung out in the water near the ice floes. That’s why we didn’t go there for my initiation.” They all look at you as if they just realized you were there before shouting and turning around. You blink in confusion.
“Y-Y-Y/N!” Katara shouts, her face an impressive shade of pink, “Where are your clothes?!”
“I heard screaming. There wasn’t time to put clothes on if something was wrong.” You deadpan, crossing your arms over your chest, “I’ll go get them now that I know you’re all okay.”
“Great! Then we can leave!” Sokka says, not turning back, “I am not sticking around to find out what that creature actually is.”
“Yeah, yeah.” You wave him off, turning around and heading back to where you left your clothes, “I’ll help you get ready to go once I’m dressed.” You leave them by the trees. ‘There is a lot Katara and Sokka haven’t been exposed to.’ You frown. ‘Our age differences have affected them a lot more than I would have liked. I was thirteen when we lost mom. I had more than enough time with her to learn about waterbending or go adventuring with Dad. They’ve been sheltered for far too long.’
You find the area where you left your clothes and pull your tights back on. You exhale, sad that your moment of peace has gone just as fast as it arrived. You bend down to put up your tunic, straightening up to dust the sand off and the next thing you know a figure drops down in front of you. Your feet are swept out from under you before you can react, and the person grabs you by your chest wrappings as you fall. You’re yanked forward by them, but you feel them come undone as they’re not as secure as they should have been. The gang's haste to get into the air the other day didn’t give you the time you needed to do a warrior wrap. The person in front of you gasps as the wraps fall away, suddenly spinning you around and blinding you. You let out a yelp as your chest is exposed to the air, but your tunic is on shortly after. Ropes are tied around your upper body, pinning your arms to your sides. They pick up your body, drape you over their shoulder, and start running. ‘That happened way too fast.’ You think, dazed. That couldn’t have been more than a minute. You don’t even have the words to say, honestly. You were surprised. Very surprised. Who could move like that?! The only time you moved that fast was while ice skating! Were there people who could move that fast normally? Aang didn’t count because he’s the Avatar. Who knows the extent of his abilities.
You weren’t sure how long it took, but your body was tied to something after a while. From the sounds of it, the others were right next to you so at least you don’t have to worry about that. You shift your body, trying to figure out how exactly you’re tied up. You practically jump out of your skin when you hear someone talking.
“You four have some explaining to do.” A man’s voice sounds.
“And if you don’t answer all of our questions, we’re throwing you back into the water with the Unagi.” A woman says after him.
“Show yourselves, cowards!” Comes from your idiot brother somewhere to your left.
“Oh sure, Sokka. Call the people who tied us up” the blindfold is removed from your eyes, “cowards.” You hiss, then go silent as you see a group of girls standing in front of you. The man you heard was with him, but he was the only one.
“Who are you? Where are the men who ambushed us?” Sokka demands.
“There were no men.” The woman in front scoffs, seemingly irritated by that question, “We ambushed you. Now tell us - who are you, and what are you doing here?”
“We-” You try to speak but Sokka speaks over you.
“Wait a second, there’s no way a bunch of girls took us down.” You can hear the amusement in his voice and it makes you want to smack him. How many times do you have to yell at him for him to understand that it’s not just the men in your tribe who do things? Besides, the woman was clearly agitated, and saying that would only make it worse.
“Sokka, you’ve got to be kidding me.” You sigh.
“Bunch of girls, huh?” The woman grabs Sokka by his coat and leans in threateningly, “The unagi is going to eat well tonight.”
“Please ignore my dumbass brother!” You shout, getting her attention, “He does NOT speak for the rest of us!” You glare at him.
“Then, I’m sure you can answer my questions. Since you seem to be the oldest here.” She stands in front of you and you meet her dark blue eyes, “Who are you? What are you doing here?” Her voice was lowered and it was spoken in more of a threatening manner than before.
“We’re from the Southern Water Tribe. We were just passing through and wanted to relax before continuing.” You swallow, feeling intimidated, “That’s all, I promise.”
“It’s my fault.” Aang speaks up, from somewhere past your brother, “I’m sorry we came here. I wanted to ride the Elephant Koi.”
“How do we know you’re not Fire Nation spies?” The man hisses accusingly, “Kiyoshi stayed out of the war so far and we intend to keep it that way.” That makes you scoff in anger. How dare he accuse you of being a spy for that wretched nation! As if you’d want anything to do with the people who destroyed your family!
“This island is named for Kiyoshi?” Aang sounds oddly happy about that, “I know Kiyoshi!”
“How could you possibly know her? Avatar Kiyoshi was born here four hundred years ago. She’s been dead for centuries!”
“I know her because I’m the Avatar.” Aang says making your jaw drop. ‘He did not just say that out loud! Why would he tell people that after I told him to keep it a secret?!’ You panic. ‘If these idiots would have let me handle this, I could have gotten us out by now! But, no, don’t let the adult handle this!’
“That’s impossible! The last Avatar was an airbender who disappeared one hundred years ago.” The woman shakes her head as you drop yours in exasperation.
“That’s me!” You can practically hear Aang’s grin. You were going to strangle this kid the moment your hands were free. Avatar or not!
“Throw the impostor to the unagi!” The man commands. ‘So, he’s likely the chief.’ The women snap out metal fans and move closer to surround your group. Your eyes widen and you internally curse that your hands are bound. There was nothing you could do to help your situation.
“Aang, if you’re going to claim that you’re the Avatar you need to prove it!” You tell him, not liking the sight of those fans, “Do some air bending!” There’s a gust of air and you hear the people gasping in awe. Whispers fill the air as Aang floats down and you feel relieved as you hear the Chief say that he believed him. They threw a feast in honor of Aang’s arrival and you were shocked to see so much food on the table. You were hesitant at first, but Aang insisted so you ate until you were satisfied. The Chief and the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors joined your group. Thankfully, Sokka was too engrossed in stuffing himself with food to notice the warrior sitting with you. If he had, you were sure dinner wouldn’t have been as pleasant as it was.
“Hello.” The woman greets you as she takes the seat to your left.
“Hello.” You greet her politely.
“I wanted to apologize and introduce myself to you.” She brushes her hair behind her ear, “I’m Suki, the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors. I’m sorry we ambushed you like that. While we live away from the mainlands, people have been begging us to join the war. It’s been going on since before I was a little girl. We’ve been very careful with newcomers.”
“That’s alright. I understand that. My village was raided by the Fire Nation when I was a teenager. After that, the men in the village refused to let anyone who wasn’t from the neighboring villages in.” You reassure her, “You were only protecting your home. I can’t blame you for that when I would do the same. It’s admirable.”
“That’s a relief. Thank you… but um… that’s not all I wanted to apologize for.” Suki rubs the back of her neck, lowering her voice, “I was the one who jumped you on the shoreline. You looked to be around my age, so I wasn’t sure what training you might have had.” Her words sink in and you begin to feel mortified.
“I saw your chest and I wanted to let you know that wasn’t my intention.” She whispers, and you think you see her face turning pink, “I’m very sorry for that.”
“I-It’s okay.” You frantically wave your hands, “I’m not upset about it at all. At least you had the decency to cover me.”
“O-Of course! I wouldn’t do that to another woman!” Now she’s waving her hands frantically, “Not unless they wanted me to, but that’s not- I’m going to stop talking now.” She facepalms, making you laugh at the absurdity of the conversation.
The mess that was your first conversation didn’t do anything to ruin the rest of them. You found yourself talking to Suki the most as you were sitting next to each other. She listened intently as you talked about your life at home and what you did for fun. Unfortunately, you had to leave out anything that involved waterbending. Katara was the one who talked to Suki about that one. But, you learned about Suki’s life on the island and how it was her dream to become a Kyoshi Warrior. You congratulated her on becoming the leader and she made a soft comment that had you raising an eyebrow, “It’s rewarding to train pretty women like you.”
You weren’t new to flirting. You were lucky enough to interact with people outside of your tribe before your dad left. It’s just been a while since you’ve had a chance. So, you fell into it. You flirted with her, and she seemed to be into it. You couldn’t believe your luck. You’ve been gone from home for such a short time and here was an attractive woman hitting on you! The end of dinner made you a little sad, but you had the itch for some more alone time, so you asked one of the islanders where you could find a quiet cove or something close to it. They directed you to one on the other side of the island that’s past the training building for the Kyoshi Warriors.
It was a good distance to walk, but that meant you wouldn’t be bothered by anyone either. With your siblings and Aang preoccupied, you took the chance to sneak away. It felt like the perfect opportunity to get some waterbending practice in. You let out a slow breath, moving through the meditative poses your mother taught you as a child. It helped not only to relax your body but your mind when it got too unfocused. And, it was definitely too unfocused. There was something about Suki that got into your brain. You couldn’t stop thinking about her. Knowing that she was the one who took you down earlier made you flustered. You’ve never come into contact with anyone who can do something like that.
So, once your body is focused, you let your awareness spread to the rolling waves in front of you. You smile to yourself as you lift the water and bring it towards you. It whirls around your body, the soft whooshing sound of the water bringing you peace of mind.
“Okay, mom.” You exhale, widening your stance slightly, “Guide me through the exercise.” You move through the waterbending techniques your mother taught you, steadily going faster and getting harsher with each re-run of the sequence. Your muscles are used to the movement, due to training over and over again. At some point, you’d have to break the news to Katara. She’d be pissed with you for keeping this a secret, but she wasn’t ready. You couldn’t teach her something that could kill someone if she couldn’t control her anger. You will never forget the day you nearly speared your father with an icicle during an argument.
“You didn’t tell me you were a bender.” A voice comes from behind you, making you shriek. You whirl around, the water following as you whip it at whoever snuck up on you.
“Ouch!” The person yelps, clutching their side and you realize that it’s Suki.
“Oh, Spirits! I’m so sorry!” You gasp as she looks at you with an impressed look, “Are you okay?!”
“It’s okay!” Suki giggles, rubbing her side as she moves closer to you, “I guess we’re even after what happened earlier today.”
“I guess we are.” You chuckle, “Are you sure you don’t want me to check?”
“Well… I’d have to remove everything so…”
“Oh.” You blink, “Then, I’ll take your word for it.”
“Anyway, that was some impressive bending. How come you didn’t bring it up when Katara was talking about it?”
“My brother and sister don’t know. Our mom trained me in secret in case my siblings couldn’t bend. I haven’t told Katara for various reasons.” You sigh, running a hand over your hair. It was the one conversation you were dreading.
“Hmm, is the reason because you’re so good at it?” She says flirtatiously, “If you had fought me with it this morning, I might have been the one retrained.”
“I doubt it.” You flirt back, “I could just freeze you in place.” You demonstrate by sneakily freezing her feet to the ground. She gasps, tugging on her ankles to try and get them unstuck.
“Then you wouldn’t have been able to go anywhere.” You giggle, giving her a playful shove. Suki laughs as she pinwheels, unable to fall.
“You’re interesting, you know that?” She grins, watching as you melt the ice and pull the water back to you.
“Says the woman who took me down in seconds.” You chuckle, “I have never been so confused in my life.” She could take you down that fast and had the strength to lift your body. You found that kind of attractive.
“Will you show me your bending?” Suki questions, leaning forward on her tiptoes, “I haven’t seen waterbending like yours up close before.”
“Only if you keep it a secret.” You get a raised eyebrow in return, “Please, Suki. I can’t have them finding out right now.” You give her a pleading look. She makes a face like she’s contemplating what you said. You bite your lip, wondering if she’d tell them about your secret. She didn’t seem like that kind of person, but you only just met her. She tied you up and planned on murdering you without a second thought, too. It was to protect her people but…
“I’ll keep it a secret.” Suki agrees, a teasing smile on her lips, “But, you have to let me train you. You’ll need to know how to protect yourself.”
“Deal!” You hurriedly agree. That earns you a big grin from Suki and you spend the last of your daylight waterbending for her. She seemed dazzled by what you were doing. She asked you questions and even attempted to do the moves with you. For the first time in forever, you didn’t feel alone while practicing. She made you laugh and even tried to surprise attack you! You managed to hit her away, but you suspected she made it easy for you.
Once the final dredges of sunlight were about to disappear, Suki took your hand and guided you through the woods. She said you could use the actual training building because you’d be the only ones there. With the arrival of Aang, she had given the others the evening off. But, it will be right back to work tomorrow morning.
“This is where you practice?” You gasp. The building was very simple on the inside with a large open space. There were some weapons hanging on the wall and two doors at the back of the building.
“Yup. From sunrise to sunset.” Suki turns to you, putting her hands on her hips, “Now you’ll get the chance to see how we train.”
“So, why did you want to train me?” You question, letting her pull your hair out of its ponytail. You shake it out and blush at the awed look Suki gives you. Your hair was very long. You took great care of it since there wasn’t much to do in your free time.
“If you’re going to keep pretending you’re not a waterbender, you still need to be able to protect yourself.” She retrieves a box and has you kneel before her, “So, I’m going to walk you through our traditions.”
Suki takes the time to get you dressed into the robes the Kiyoshi Warriors wear. You’re almost surprised at how heavy the robes are on your body. If they wore this and managed to move that quickly, they must be inhuman or something! It interested you, and you found the way Suki talked so proudly about it to be cute. You listened to her closely, letting her put the makeup on you as she explained the history behind it. Once that was done, it was time for practice.
“We’re going to move through some motions, so spread your feet apart like this and bring your elbows into your body.” Suki demonstrates. You mimic her and she stares at you intensely as you do. A few seconds pass before she walks over to you.
“You want to come down a bit farther.” She puts her hands on your hips and pulls your body down some more. You feel your breath catch in your throat as she manipulates your body. Although you had no skin exposed, you could feel her touch lingering on your skin. It felt like the air was heating up between you two. She watched your body movements, using her own hands to support you or correct your form. You stopped breathing when her hands moved up your body, feeling dizzy in a different way. Your gazes lingered, and you watched her lips move as she talked.
“You’re doing a great job!” Suki compliments you, “You’re a natural at this!”
“Thank you.” You feel fluttery hearing her say that, “It might just be because I have a great teacher.”
“A great teacher is only made by a great student.” She winks at you, making you giggle.
“Can you show me your moves in action?” You tilt your head, “Slowly, at least. I’d like to be able to see it this time.”
“Okay, get in position across from me.” Suki motions with her hand, and you do as she says. You lock eyes, getting lost in her gaze. A moment passes and then Suki becomes a blur. You gasp in alarm, feeling her grab your arm out of nowhere. You’re yanked forward and you feel your body flip through the air. You let out a grunt of pain as your back hits the floor and Suki pins you to the ground. Your jaw drops as she smirks down at you.
“Was that slow enough?” She asks teasingly.
“Yeah…” You breathe out, feeling an unknown emotion settle in your chest.
“That’s it for tonight, then.” The smirk doesn’t leave her face as she helps you up, “Let’s get you out of that. We’ll take the makeup off first.” You nod wordlessly, still in awe. The two of you head into the changing room where the shelves are filled with extra uniforms. There’s a basin of water there that’s used to remove the makeup, but you feel a little spontaneous.
“Let me remove the makeup for you.” You pull water from the basin and let it stick to your palms, “It’ll be faster this way.”
“Okay.” Suki smiles and sits down, patting the spot on the bench next to her. You get close to her, Suki’s hand on your thigh to steady herself as she lets you carefully run your hands over her face. Little by little, the makeup comes off to reveal her features and you’re taken by her beauty.
“You’re staring.” She whispers.
“Sorry.” You go to back away, but she grabs your wrist.
“I’m okay with staring… but I’d prefer to kiss you instead.” You make a noise in the back of your throat, surprised by her statement.
“If I read this whole evening wrong, you’re more than welcome to tell me no.” She continues, “But if I haven’t… I’d like to kiss you.”
“You haven’t.” You whisper, closing your eyes to remove the makeup from your face. Once you do, you send the water down the little drain next to the basin, “I’d like to kiss you, too.”
Suki didn’t waste a second. Her lips were on yours, soft and sweet from the berry juice in the lip paint. Your heartbeat picks up as she guides you onto her lap, and you rest your hands on her chest. She wasn’t your first kiss, but she’s the first kiss where it was good. Suki knew how to kiss and it showed. The way her tongue found its way into your mouth, not too much to send you running or she’d take a moment to suck on your bottom lip and make you impatient.
“Can I touch you?” Suki asks sweetly, “Have you been touched before?”
“Ah, no, I-I haven’t.” That question wasn’t one you were expecting at all. That made you a little nervous. You haven’t even touched yourself before. How would you know what to do or-
“Hey, don’t worry. We don’t have to do anything.” She brushes your hair behind your ear, “I was just asking.”
“I’d like to… I’ve just- I don’t-”
“You don’t need to do anything.” She giggles, “Let me do it for you.”
“Okay.” You agree.
“Let’s get you undressed then.” Suki waits for you to stand before instructing you to turn around. Piece by piece, she helped you out of the warrior’s uniform while leaving kisses on your neck. Your body felt warm, your heart was racing, and you were slowly getting excited for what was to come. When your robes were off, you helped Suki even though she didn’t need it. Taking your cues from her, you did the same thing and kissed her neck, giving in to the urge to leave little bites as well. You were doing something right by the way you’d hear soft gasps leave her lips. The moment the last piece of her robes were off, she backed you into the wall and hicked your leg up to her hip.
“Kiss me.” You demand, making her chuckle.
“Eager.” She grins before kissing you again. This time you were more intense with this kiss. You weren’t sure why but only that it felt right to be. You could feel her fingers playing at the edge of your underwear and it sends shivers up your spine. Her fingers move across and down, over your covered clit to press against that spot between your legs. You gasp against her lips, wrapping your arms around her to bring her closer to you. She rubs her fingers down there for a bit, continuing to kiss you as you struggle to hold in your moans. Your body is trembling at this point, eager for more stimulation from the gorgeous warrior pinning you to the wall.
“Do you still want me to put my fingers in?” Suki asks after backing from the kiss.
“Yes…” You breathe out. You hold each other’s gaze as you feel her move the cloth aside. Her eyes sparkle in the light, such a deep blue you could always get lost in them. You gasp as one of her fingers slips into you, whimpering as she touches you in a way no one has. It’s all you can focus on. The feel of her touching you so deeply in a place that sent your body tingling with pleasure.
“Suki.” You moan out her name, tilting your head back.
“You’re so beautiful, you know.” She kisses your exposed neck, “It’s a shame you’ve never felt pleasure like this before.”
“You’re the first.” You mutter, not able to speak any louder.
“I’m honored.” She hums, putting another finger in and stretching you out, “You have such a cute pussy. I’m enjoying letting you experience this.” You groan, the soft burning from the stretching not doing anything to distract you from the pleasure. Only a few hours ago, she had tied you up and now she was in an intimate position with you. Who would have thought leaving home would end up with you like this?
“Thank you…” You say breathily, “It feels nice. Really nice.”
“Don’t thank me yet, cutie.” Suki giggles, “I haven’t made you cum, yet.” You weren’t sure what she meant by that, but you couldn’t ask. She had moved her thumb to a bundle of nerves further up and you were too enthralled to talk. The trembling in your body only got worse, except now something was tightening in your abdomen. It kept getting tighter the more she touched you and you didn’t want to tell Suki to stop. You were more aware of her fingers than you were earlier and the pressure in your abdomen had reached its peak. A loud moan left your lips as you felt it snap, your fingers digging into her shoulders in the process.
“Spirits!” You hear Suki exclaim in surprise and then giggle as you feel a liquid run down your legs. She didn’t stop until you could feel your body relax, but your mind was definitely in a different state. You felt a little foggy.
“I didn’t think I’d make you cum that hard.” Suki chuckles, slowly sliding her fingers out, “Are you feeling okay?” She asks.
“Yeah.” You nod, trying to catch your breath, “I am. I just- I’m not quite sure what I’m feeling but it feels good.”
“Don’t worry, it’ll go away soon.” She kisses your cheek, “You did great, cutie.”
“Thank you.” You blush, thinking about kissing her again, “Can I…?”
“Can you kiss me again?” She smirks, making you giggle and nod your head.
“I don’t mind that.” Suki lifts your chin and kisses you.

Twenty Questions for Fic Writers
Thank you so much for the tag @lettersbyelise. loved reading yours here!
How many works do you have on ao3?
63 under my tacky account and I think 2 under my brasstacks account.
2. what's your total ao3 word count?
On my tacky account: 358,302.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Only HP so far (plus, inexplicably, one Witcher fic even though i wasn't even really into the show let alone in the fandom). I have an idea for a Steve x Eddie fic (stranger things) and an F1 fic (i don't know the fandom or the real life people at all but I am obsessed with the writing of @boxboxlewis and have, fatally, had An Idea for a galex fic as a result. pray for tacky, i can't afford another hyperfixation, the one i have is bad enough). but they will probably never get written, alas. i barely get my drarry stuff done!
4.. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
I never check my stats - i don't have them blocked or anything, it just doesn't occur to me. I also think it's a really unhelpful way of judging the merits of a fic. Fandom is supposed to be fun, and a fic can be great in many different ways for many different people, and none of that can accurately be conveyed by how many hearts people leave. That said, I appreciate every reader i get so much - I never ever imagined people would read my fics so each person who does gets a whole lotta love from me. However for the purposes of this ask i did go into my stats section to have a look and here we go, it might be a surprising one as i suspect Modern Love is probably my most recced:
If It Takes All Night: quick oneshot i wrote for Lock Down Fest, forced bonding, quidditch buddies, friends to lovers.
A Lick and a Promise: My first long fic, a case fic involving an auror/unspeakable team who go undercover as Hogwarts professors to solve a crime at the school. oh and they also happen to be fuckbuddies already.
Modern Love: My own favourite, also my longest fic (so far, mwahaha). Muggle world Draco, depressed Harry learns to love himself and falls in love with Draco along the way.
Through the Window, Clear Skies: 1.4k of love story. so fond of this one as it's the first fic i wrote where i felt like i had finally clicked stylistically. it was the start of me learning to write in my own style rather than trying to emulate the fics i loved to read.
And One to Play: Gosh, i actually do not really remember what this is about. auror partners? Harry loves clothes in this one i remember. And it's about weather magic. I was so proud of this one when i wrote it and really learned a lot at the start of my fic writing journey.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Just like Elise, I would love to but I fell massively behind after Modern Love posted and never got my momentum back. I am currently about 3 years behind though i do try to reply whenever i can. i absolutely treasure comments and i really miss interacting with readers. at the moment it's a choice between writing new stuff and replying to comments. i also never ever mind when an author doesn't reply to my comments so i figure people will allow me the same grace.
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Some people might say it's Last Offices as that's MCD, but my own choice would be The Quiver of a Heartstring because of the sheer hopelessness of it. Depends on your particular flavour of angst i think.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most of my fics are cheerful, I suppose Modern Love as there are two follow up fics so you get to see them happy in both of those, as well as in the epilogue?
8. Do you get hate on fics?
not much that anyone tells me about! Someone did feature one of my fics (ironically, the one with most kudos) on some horrible mean-spirited blog about crap mary-sues, which was probably the most out-and-out horrid thing i've come across. i wasn't upset by it, but i did think it was a surprisingly shitty thing to do about anyone's fics! I also had someone leave me very very long comments on one of my fics asking me to explain why I made Harry so mean, and then went on reddit and posted some long posts about the same thing (naming the fics they had a problem with, including mine). bizarre! i have never had out and out hate comments, thankfully. just the usual WELL ACKSHULLY type "concrit" that really just means "i didn't like how you did this, so i'm going to let you know in detail about it". to which i say, off you fuck, buddy, and learn some self-awareness. and brush up on your grasp of fandom etiquette while you're at it.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes i do, not necessarily all the time and sometimes it's more M or T rated hints. I read fic for the romance and sex is part of that. and i write what i want to read.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
No i don't, though after chats with my resident F1 expert @sweet-s0rr0w I wondered about writing a racing AU where one of them crashes and ends up in a fiery inferno but walks out of it. only they've come back wrong.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not that i know of, i would absolutely hate that though.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
earlier fics yes, but now i ask that people not translate my fics. this is because if i need to delete all my works off AO3 at any point, i would prefer to have them all in one place to scrub them. i know it doesn't work like that but it's just one of those irrational worries i have and it gives me the illusion of control!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! Body Electric with @shealwaysreads which is a Drarry bodyswap. And Dreaming Skies with @sweet-s0rr0w which was the Dron dragon-tamer getting together fic of my dreams. love a collab, what a privilege to get to work with such talented people!
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Drarry absolutely 100% no questions asked. I've never had another ship and never will. my brain just isn't made that way. it's a pain but it is what it is.
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
None, i have quite a few WIPs but I feel like I could go back to any of them at some point. I'd never say never on a fic tbh. if i started writing it, i had a reason. some WIPs i have from years back are: quidditch fic where Draco buys the team Harry plays for, Master of Death Harry fic where he is reckless after the war and Draco dies due to trying to keep up with him, and Harry has to go get him back... umm political fic about a corrupt Ministry where Dudley has a magical baby and Harry and Draco take the kiddo (and Dudley!) and go on the run. i probably have more that i've forgotten.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Not being disingenuous but it's harder for me to appreciate my strengths as I tend to be too immersed in my own writing to have any distance. I think maybe, going by what people have said, I am able to capture a mood? And i write love in a loving way.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
From my own perspective, my weaknesses are being too slow (it takes me ages to write anything), inability to focus for long, and not being a good plotter.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Yeah, I think that's fine! i'm not sure what this question refers to tbh 🤔😂 I mean, if it works in the story then it works. I have never done it myself other than in Our Little Life which is a multiverse fic where Harry gets visions of multiple other lives with Draco through space and time. In it they speak Middle English, Latin, Irish... i think that's all?
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter. i actually wrote an angsty Draco x Ron oneshot YEARS ago (it was called Take This Longing and i went by perfidia back then and i can see the link on the wayback machine but the fic itself is lost sadly.. or actually that might be a good thing) but then I never wrote anything at all ever again until i started writing fic in 2019. i have never been in another fandom and i don't think i ever will. i don't know why i've imprinted so hard on these two idiots but here we are. I have also started writing original work in recent years, again not something i ever imagined doing but it's lovely and satisfying in different ways to the way fic writing is! so i feel very lucky tbh.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Probably Modern Love. It is exactly the fic i wanted it to be, and people who read it seem to get what I wanted to give. and you can't say fairer than that.
Tagging @blamebrampton @boxboxlewis @citrusses @epitomereally @maesterchill @mintawasalreadytaken @porcelainheart3 @shealwaysreads @skeptiquewrites @sweet-s0rr0w @teacup-tai if you fancy it! and anyone who wants to play.

Second Years (Haikyuu!!)
This fic was commissioned by @bumblebeedrizzzle. Thank you!
Primary Universe: Second Year
Summary: Hinata and Kageyama contemplate their upcoming season with a changed team, and Kageyama decides his friend needs some cheering up.
**THIS FIC IS SPOILER FREE!**
A/N: I'm actually really glad to have gotten this request (even though technically Haikyuu isn't on my commissions list - I made an exception) because when I look at the last several fics I've posted for this fandom, they were all predominantly lee!Kageyama. I love lee!Kags, obviously, but it was time Hinata got some love, too! So thank you for the commission!
Also, if I continue writing for Haikyuu, I feel like I've done pretty much all I can with the anime storyline, so I'll likely write about our boys as second years going forward for the most part. I will always let you know if there are spoilers ahead! <3
Anyway - on to the main event! I hope you enjoy! ^^
Word Count: 1,833
~~~
“I can’t believe Noya is a third-year now,” Hinata mused as he walked his bike up the hill the team used for workouts, Kageyama walking at his side with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie.
His friend snorted. “Forget Noya, I can’t believe Tanaka is a third-year. Neither of them really act like it.”
“Kinnoshita will keep them in line.”
“He’ll try to.”
“Who do you think will be captain next year? Tsukishima?”
Kageyama shuddered and growled, “I hope not.”
Hinata laughed, though it came out halfhearted. Silence fell between them for a couple of minutes as they focused on climbing the last crest of the hill to where it leveled out before rounding up into the second half. Once there, the redhead slowed his bike to a stop and glanced out at the city view. It was getting dark out, but there was still enough light in the sky for them to make it home before sundown.
Kageyama took a few more steps before realizing his friend had stopped. He turned, saw the look on Hinata’s face, and frowned. “What’s the matter?”
To his surprise, Hinata didn’t try to shrug off his question with a claim to be fine or a forced smile. Instead, he considered a moment before asking, “Does it feel off to you?”
“Does what feel off?” Kageyama asked, striding back over to where he stood.
“After everything that happened last year, doesn’t it feel kind of…wrong to not have Daichi and the others with us?”
“It’s different, sure, but it’s just the natural way of things.” Kageyama glanced out at the cityscape as well. “They had to graduate and move on. This year Noya and Tanaka will graduate, and then we will next year. We’ll all move on and become adults. It’s what happens.”
Hinata scoffed. “Okay, Mom.” He glanced up at his friend with an even deeper frown. “Don’t you miss them at all?”
Kageyama suddenly realized what Hinata was getting at. He didn’t want reassurance or lectures about how “life goes on.” Not from him. He was hurting, and he wanted someone to understand that. So, with a sigh, the taller boy relented.
“Yeah, I do. Especially Suga.”
“Doesn’t it seem weird that we’re just…doing another season without them?”
“I guess so.” Kageyama considered for a moment, then nodded. “Yeah, it does. I got so used to Daichi’s leadership and Suga’s guidance that it feels weird not having them around to help anymore. And since none of the third-years are setters, I’m the senior on that position and these new guys are looking to me for guidance, and…”
He trailed off, and Hinata nodded. “Yeah. You’re kind of in charge of that position and you’re not ready for it.”
Kageyama couldn’t even argue with that. “Exactly. I wish I’d had another year with Suga.”
“I wish all of us could do last season over now that we’ve learned so much. I really feel like…”
This time Hinata trailed off, and when the silence descended, neither of them tried to break it for a while. It felt right, somehow, having this moment to really let it sink in that their friends were off doing other things now.
After a few minutes, Kageyama let out a breath. “But Kinnoshita is doing well as captain so far, and these first-years have promise. Really the only thing I can’t stand is that Tsukishima decided to stick around.”
Hinata snorted out a laugh. “You guys really don’t get along.”
“Understatement.” Kageyama smirked, then glanced at Hinata again. He looked like he was feeling a tad better, but not by much. He nudged him. “You know we’re gonna be fine, right?”
“Of course I do,” Hinata replied, though his voice lacked conviction.
“Yeah, I definitely believe that you believe that, boke.”
“I do!”
“You’re going to have to convince me a little harder than that.” With a smirk, Kageyama suddenly grabbed him around the waist and pulled him against his chest, making him drop his bike and yelp as fingers suddenly dug into his sides.
“Eeeek! Kahahahahageyama, wait, nohohohohohoho!” Hinata cried, giggles spilling out of him as he squirmed uselessly in his taller friend’s grip.
“You can’t fool me. I know when you’re just toughing it out.” The setter chuckled and hugged him tighter, aiming for his ribs. “Come on, lighten up, boke.”
“I’m light! I’m lihihihihihihihight! Kageyahahahahama!” Hinata’s laughter rose in pitch once his friend got to his weakest spot. Thankfully he wasn’t going too hard yet, but it was still enough to make him cackle and try to pry his arms away. “You jeheheheheheherk! I’m fihihihihihihihine!”
“Liar.”
“EEEEK!!” Hinata screeched when his friend found that spot along his last few ribs that had him absolutely howling with laughter, frantically trying to escape his grip to no avail. “KAGEYAMA NOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!”
Kageyama chuckled, deciding he wanted to make it a bit worse by hefting the little spiker up into the air so he really had nowhere to go and nothing to ground on. Hinata squealed and laughed and kicked the air uselessly.
“You seem to forget that those three aren’t the only teammates you had,” Kageyama grumbled good-naturedly into his ear as he tickled, reaching down to squeeze a hip, earning him another shriek. “Noya and Tanaka are still around, and so are all the others from last year. And we have these new guys – and you have me. So don’t feel so sad, boke. We’re gonna be just fine.”
“STAHAHAHAHAHAP, STOP, PLEHEHEHEHEASE!!” Hinata cried, tapping his friend’s arm, writhing in his tickly hug of doom. “PLEASE, VOHOHOHOLLEYBALL!”
Kageyama stopped immediately, gently letting his friend back down to the ground and holding onto him to make sure he didn’t fall. He frowned, worried he’d been a little too pushy. “Sorry, are…are you okay? I thought it could help…”
“You tickle too hard,” Hinata replied, glancing up at him with a tiny leftover smile. “And that’s my worst spot, so it just got to be a bit…much. Especially if you’re trying to cheer me up.”
Kageyama blinked. “Are you seriously trying to tell me how to tickle you to make you feel better?”
Hinata grinned. “I mean, as long as you’re trying to, you might as well do it right.”
“Oh, you little…” The setter pulled him back in again, slipping under his hoodie to scribble against his belly directly. “There, is that better?”
“Ehehehehehehehe! Yeheheheheheheah, thehehehere you go!” Hinata squealed, gripping his friend’s arms all over again despite his praising words.
Suddenly inspired, Kageyama grabbed his wrists and pulled them above his head with ease, using his free hand to keep tickling his tummy, and finally he got the noise he was looking for – the particular shriek Hinata let out when he was surprised but in a good way. When he was having fun.
“Boke,” he muttered with a smile, keeping it up. “Let’s try this again. Are you still feeling sad about Daichi and the others?”
Hinata squirmed in his hold but giggled freely, daring to glance up at him and sputter, “Of cohohohohohourse I ahahahahaham!”
“Hmm, not enough, then? All right. I can do this all day.”
For a couple of minutes, they stayed that way at the top of the hill – Hinata caught in Kageyama’s grasp and giggling hysterically at the soft, light tickles his friend was purposely trying to inflict, the setter smirking and holding him tight, determined to bring him back into a good headspace before letting him go.
“We’re going to be fine, Hinata,” he said after a short while, keeping his tone soft and genuine – a rare occurrence for the taller boy. “You’ve still got Kinnoshita and Noya and Tanaka and Yamaguchi and…and Tsukishima.”
“And yohohohohohou, rihihihihihight?”
Kageyama smiled despite himself. “Obviously. You’re not getting rid of me that easily. I still have to take you down out there, you know.” He paused, then slowed his tickling to a gradual stop and murmured, “I’m here for you, boke. If you need me. Just like you’re always there for me.”
Hinata caught his breath as he let out a few more snickers, turning to look up at his friend as Kageyama released his grip on his arms. “You know, you’re not too bad at this cheering up thing when you put your mind to it, Bakageyama.”
The setter couldn’t help but smile. The use of the insult/nickname was a clear indicator the redhead was feeling like himself again, and Kageyama was more than happy to count that as a win.
“Shut up. Just trying to make you see reason. We’re going to be fine. We’re going to have another great season and take everyone down.”
Hinata beamed. “And this year we don’t have to face stupid Oikawa!”
His friend was right – and it was a detail Kageyama hadn’t considered until just now. He couldn’t help but grin. “You’re right. We don’t.”
“Ooh, that made you all kinds of happy! Glad to see you cheering up, too.”
“‘Too’? I’m not the one who was being all pouty about the others graduating last year.”
“I wasn’t pouting!”
“You absolutely were.”
Hinata huffed. “You were just going on about how you missed Suga—”
“You brought it up, genius!”
“Oh, now who needs cheering up?” Hinata’s grin morphed into something more sinister, and he brought his fingers up to wiggle teasingly at Kageyama.
The setter hated how fast he blushed at the sight of them.
“Someone’s excited~”
“Shut up – I don’t need cheering up, boke! I’ve been better off than you this whole time!”
Hinata laughed. “Don’t tell me you’re trying to talk me out of tickling you back? You’re always in the mood for tickles, Kage~”
“I am not…!” Deciding it was a lost cause, Kageyama took a step back, and when Hinata made to lunge for him, he dodged out of the way and began sprinting up the second half of the hill, hoping for enough of a head-start to at least tire him out a little.
But he’d forgotten one important detail.
Not only did Hinata have speed on his side…
Today, he had a bike.
Just when Kageyama had gotten to the top of the hill entirely, Hinata chimed his bike’s warning bell. The setter whirled around in time to see the redhead abandon his ride and sprint toward him, and there was absolutely no getting away from him at that point.
“Wait, wait, wait – wahahahahahahait!” Kageyama shrieked, his laugh coming out both panicked and genuine as his best friend latched onto him and dug into his tummy right off the bat, making him squeal and crumple to the ground in a heap, cackling and squirming. “Hinatahahahahahaha!”
“Well, would you look at that? Grumpy Kageyama does want some cheer-up tickles after all!”
“I dohohohohohon’t nehehehehehehed them!” Kageyama cried, shrieking again when the redhead pushed him to the ground entirely and hopped onto his waist to keep him pinned.
“Maybe not,” Hinata conceded with a playful grin, “but I think you want them, Bakageyama.”
warnings: cursing, drug use, slightly AU timeline?
My leg bounced in nervousness as time ticked by obnoxiously, the Friday before spring break '86 ticking by too slowly for my liking. Senior year was a fucking drag, and now more than ever, I was counting the literal seconds before I would be set free to do nothing for an entire week.
Technically, I had to 'care for the house' because my parents were going to Colorado for some wedding of a family member I've never met. Mom and Dad ran the local floral shop, Lake Florals, and business was booming, which made our house something of a botanical ICU for any plant that got sick in the shop. So, they had spent the whole week going over every single detail possible about the plants to make sure I took 'proper care' of them while they're away for 6 days.
But my mind was on a completely different plant.
When the bell rang to dismiss us for lunch, I made sure I was the first one out of the classroom so I could get to my locker before the usual rush of kids heading for the cafeteria. I usually saw Eddie around this time, and he sometimes made it a point to walk by me and pinch my hip in greeting. Sometimes, he'd drop a low, "Hey, pretty girl." And other times, it was my name on his lips, "How's it goin', Daisy? Digging this sweater."
I liked the way my name sounded on his tongue and just as I entered my locker combo, I saw him coming from one of the few morning classes he went to. His eyes met mine and he smiled - my decision to be bold being made the moment I made my mind up about buying from him again. Just like clockwork, he directed himself down the hall and towards my side, his hand planting on my hip, "Hey, pretty girl - woah!"
Eddie Munson's eyes darted down to where my hand grabbed his, making him spin on his heel, away from the stream of kids surrounding us, and stepped closer my opened locker.
"You okay?" he chuckled lightly, looking to where our hands were conjoined.
"Yeah, I was, uh... You know, I was hoping we could meet after school?"
"Oh? Don't you have a game to cheer for tonight?"
"Yeah," I breathed, trying to ignore the way my face and chest felt warm. "You know, umm, before the game, I was hoping we could meet for... Business-related-business."
He chuckled and nodded his head, "Ah, right, right." And then his hand squeezed mine, "Yeah, we can, uh, we can meet after school. But I only got so much on my person, sweets, are you looking for something, uh, other than your usual?"
I shook my head, "No, just... Yeah, the usual is fine. I just... Uh, long week ahead of me, you know?"
He chuckled, "I get you, it's no issue. I can meet you in the woods behind the field?"
"Sure," I nodded with a small smile. "Thanks, Eddie."
"Anytime, pretty girl," he assured, giving my hand one last squeeze before turning and heading down the hall again.
Now that I had the meeting set up, it was like time drug on just to fuck with me. Mrs. Leeway actually gave us a packet to do over break and I was monumentally confused because why assign it if you didn't want to grade it? Mrs. Leeway was notorious for complaining about how she doesn't have enough time to grade everything, so, we never know our actual grade in the class until the very end. My question stands, why assign us work if you didn't want (or have the time) to grade it!?
Man, high school didn't make a lot of sense at times.
And by the end of the day, I was exhausted and I was pretty sure my bag was about a pound heavier with homework to do over break. I could feel a tension headache forming behind my eyes and trudged to my locker - then remembered! School was finally out for spring break and my parents had gone off to the airport already - so, I was going home to an empty house!
I just had to make it through tonight's game and then, it was a one-way ticket to bliss.
With a renewed energy to my motions, I stored all of my belongings I didn't need, took out the books I would, and made for my car to deposit everything. I made sure my bag wasn't too heavy by piling textbooks and binder to my passenger seat, double checked I had the cash, and shouldered both my school and cheer bag.
Because it was the Friday before spring break, nobody wanted to linger at school if they didn't have to. It took the time for me to head back into school and use the restroom for everyone to basically clear out, which worked in my favor, since I could head across the field behind the school without anyone spying me.
It was a short walk through the woods, mud caking over my white cheer shoes due to the rain yesterday and the day before.
Just as I stepped on a particularly slippery patch, my hand jutted out to catch my balance on something warm... And a bit bony... Looking up, I realized I had grabbed onto Eddie's shoulder as his hand was held out in case I slipped again.
"Hey, there! You all right, pretty girl?" he chuckled lowly.
"Shit, yeah," I smiled back, letting his hand secure around my elbow and lead me over the muddy patch so I didn't get stuck.
"There we go," Eddie smirked when we reached the small clearing with a picnic table in the middle. "All right, now, careful. Might be some twigs and leaves around!"
I scoffed at him, "I know how to walk, Eddie."
"Could've fooled me the way you trip on air," he teased, moving his hand into mine as he brought us to the table. "C'mon, princess, I'm just teasing you!"
I sighed, "You know, I kinda hate that nickname."
"Which one? I've used quite a few today," he chuckled as we sat at the table, facing one another. His brows perked, asking for an answer, as he drug his metal box of drugs closer to him.
"Princess," I answered.
"C'mon, you're Daisy Lake," he reminded, as if I didn't know, "co-cheer captain and resident bestie to Chrissy Cunningham, the queen of Hawkins. That makes you the princess, doll. And I am but the humble court jester."
I rolled my eyes, "Okay, but can I have more value than whoever I'm friends with?"
"I think you've plenty of value," he assured.
"Yeah, okay," I scoffed. "Callin' me princess and sellin' me drugs, yeah, I'm sure you think I'm real valuable," my eyes rolled slightly.
But Eddie's expression softened, "I didn't mean to strike a nerve, sweetheart, honest. If you don't like the nickname, I've plenty others for you," he smiled lightly. "Pretty girl is my personal favorite."
"Why do you call me so many nicknames?" I couldn't help but wonder.
He shrugged, "Feels right, I don't know. I can stop if you - "
"No, I like them, too," I admitted, letting my hand fall to the table between us and gently pick at the splintering wood. "Um, so, any plans for break?"
"Oh, trying to make small talk, are we?"
I sighed, "Well, I thought I was excited to go home after tonight's game to no parents and an empty house, but it's gonna be a little lonely. Thought the weed might make it less so?"
He shrugged, "Depends on the company you smoke it with. But to answer your question, no, no big plans for me," he chuckled lowly. "Just me and my guitar, you know?"
I nodded, "Sounds actually kinda nice. Um, do you have papers?"
Eddie nodded, "Yeah, I told you I had what you needed." He flipped open the metal box and pulled out a fresh pack of rolling papers, "Won't even charge you for these, sweetheart." He nudged them over to me as I smiled lightly, watching as he pulled out the half-ounce I usually bought from him. "All right, so, I'm thinking... $15, this time."
"Why the discount?"
"Call it the friends and family discount," he joked, tossing the baggie between us but making no other move to stand. I pulled the $20 from my pocket and handed it over.
"Keep the change, for the papers," I smiled at him.
"Said they were on the house," he mused.
"Yeah, but," I shrugged lightly, "you always sell to me last minute, so, maybe it's a tip?"
"Don't gotta tip your dealer, sweetheart," Eddie chuckled, his hand moving unconsciously closer to mine. "Time spent with you is payment enough."
I nodded, "So, um, you said I might feel less lonely depending on the company I smoke with?"
"Mhm, I did," his hand turned over without him realizing. My fingertips reached to drag over his palm and fingers.
"Would it be too forward to ask if you wanted to come smoke and maybe watch a movie with me?"
I watched as Eddie's eyes softened and he smiled before he seemingly realized where our hands were. "Uh, y-you know what," he stuttered a bit, pulling his hand from mine and standing quickly while trying to gather his thing, "I uh, I just - I have to be somewhere else, and - "
"Was it something I said?" I asked, feeling unsure of myself as he looked spooked at the very sight of me.
"No, no," he sighed, shaking his head, "sweetheart, no, you know what, it's just, I don't think I can sell to you anymore, I'm sorry. Y-You're gonna have to find another dealer." I didn't get to question him, because he was wiping a hand over his face and pausing. Then, he continued, "I-It's nothing personal, sweetheart, it's just - " he sighed, shaking his head, "look, I can't fall in love right now, and you - you're just - you're all I've ever wanted in a partner, o-or really in a friend, but I just - you're it, okay? You're it for me, Daisy, and if we keep doing this, the next time I see you, I don't think I'm going to be able to let go of your hand. So, I just, I can't do this with you - "
"Eddie?" He paused to take a sobering breath, eyes wide and looking at me while nervously playing with his hair. "Did you ever stop to wonder what I maybe wanted?"
"What?"
"That all you're saying isn't just one-sided?" I offered softly, watching as he started to pace.
"No, I haven't, because I'm me, right? An-And you're you - and that's just, look, I don't think - "
"You don't think I'd want to spend time with you?" I furrowed my brows. "Eddie, I can get 12 other dealers in this county but I like coming to you because you're so... You. And if you want to hold my hand and not let go, I'm okay with that, too. 'Cause maybe I wanna hold your hand, too."
"That's not funny, Daisy - "
"Do I really look like I'm joking?" I cut him off with a shake of my head. "That after all this time, I would be the one, who what? Just takes your feelings as a joke?"
"Daisy, it's kinda a big deal what we're talking about - "
"It's not, Eddie, it's quite simple," I shrugged. "If you want to be with me, and I want to be with you, why don't we spend some personal time together and see if this is really what we want? No shame in hanging out, right?"
"None for me, but for you..."
"Who cares what anyone says?" I perked a brow. "It's not their happiness we're talking about. And we've been doing this whole cat-and-mouse thing for 2 years now, Eddie," I sighed. "Look," I took up the baggie and papers, shoving them in my bag before standing, "the invitation is open. After tonight's game, I'm gonna head home, shower, change, then roll up. You're more than welcome to come over for a smoke and a movie. Maybe if you can get out of your head to hang with me for a night, I'd be happy to host." With that, I rounded around the table and kissed Eddie's cheek, sighing, "But if you're really certain, I can find another dealer. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
But as I let my hand pat his shoulder and moved to walk away, I was only two steps before Eddie's hand seized my wrist. Due to the muddy ground, I spun almost too easily and slipped slightly, forcing Eddie to pull me into his chest. "I don't want you to walk away," he admitted, my feet finding solid footing with Eddie's arms around my waist.
I frowned, "Is that all you want?"
He shook his head, "No, I..." he sighed, "look, I've never had the popular kids on my side, that I kinda worry how they'll treat you if you're being serious about this... About us."
"I wouldn't bother opening my mouth if I wasn't serious, Eddie," I sighed. "I don't care what other people think, but I do care what you think."
Eddie nodded, "I want to figure this out, pretty girl, I'm not good at this kinda thing and I didn't know the feelings were mutual."
"You never asked."
"Touché," he allotted. "Can I at least walk you back to your car? Don't think you wanna show up to the championship smelling like weed, huh?"
I smiled with a small chuckle, "You can walk me, but only if you hold my hand."
He chuckled and took my bags from my shoulder, hiking them up his own before almost too easily lacing his fingers with mine. "Remember, I might not let go," he teased lightly, helping me through particularly muddy patch along the path.
"Won't hear me complaining," I perked a brow at him with a knowing smile. His lips broke out in a grin as we broke through the tree line, letting his hand go so he could toss his arm around my shoulders and neck; hand dangling then intertwining with mine, giving it an affectionate squeeze.
Son Juyeon - Worth it
Pairing: Son Juyeon x Female Reader
Fandom: WJSN
Requested by: Anonymous
Request: Can I request that Eunseo meet someone in a golf club and try to impress her and fail but, at the end of the day, manage to score a date?
Summary: Impressing girls was in Juyeon's blood, she never had a problem with it... well at least until she met you.
A/N: Omg a request for my WJSN bias🥰 Thanks for requesting for her you lovely person <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3rd's POV
Juyeon yawned shamelessly not caring about what people around her would think. If they think that she doesn't want to be there then they were right, she would much rather stay in her bed during her day off after staying late last night to practice, instead Sojung decided that it's a nice day to have some group bonding time and she took all of them to play some golf.
Golf was cool but bed sounded even better to Juyeon at that moment and even harsh glares from Sojung weren't able to make her act like she actually enjoyed being up so early on her day off. Most of the time she stood to the side watching and cheering her members on when it was their turn but she herself wasn't woken up to play yet. Though it changed soon because when she looked away from Soobin playing for a second, she was met with who she thought was the most beautiful girl in her eyes.
You were playing golf with your friends not that far from her and now she couldn't look away from you, too entranced with you. Her state was noticed by Hyunjung who after realizing why Juyeon was so frozen decided to tell about this to other members. Now she had a whole group on her back questioning and teasing her "Why don't you go up to her? You're good at talking to girls" Juyeon wasn't so sure about that right now. For some reason even a thought of going up to you made her nervous, something she never experienced when it came to girls.
"Come on, when was the Son Juyeon afraid to come up to the girl huh?" Sojung wrapped her around Juyeon's shoulder as she tried to encourage the younger girl to try if she was interested in you. Juyeon thought about it for a while. Sojung was right, since when she was afraid to come up to a girl before? It was weird but something about you scared her that she would mess up and lose a chance.
"Unnie it's your turn, maybe try to impress her" Yeonjung said as she pushed Juyeon to the front, her sudden yelp gained your attention as you looked over to see what it was, locking eyes with a suddenly flustered Juyeon. She coughed nervously before she started acting confident, maybe impressing you will be a good start. Unfortunately it didn't go as planned and instead of getting the ball into the hole just like the rules said, Juyeon managed to hit the ball into another's players space to place and even more unfortunately for her this player was you.
An embarrassment filled her whole being as she started walking up to you to get her ball back, her members tried to hold in their laughs as they watched the whole thing unfold. You could hear your friends holding in their laughs too but you glared at them, there was no need to make the poor girl feel even worse when she didn't do anything that bad or embarrassing. You took the ball that landed not far from you and gave it to her with a smile "Here, your ball. Also don't worry about it, it wasn't that bad. Believe me I did stuff that were way more embarrassing" You laughed and Juyeon felt all her problems washing away just by the sound of it.
She rubbed the back of her neck with a nervous chuckle "Yeah well, did you ever failed when you tried to impress a girl you liked and made a fool out of yourself?" Your eyes soften at her words "You didn't made a fool out of yourself, you were actually cute" You said and looked away from her as a blush started appearing on your face. Juyeon blinked a few times, not believing what she heard. Did she not just blew all her chances with you? You actually found that cute?
"O-Oh really? Then would you maybe like to go out sometime? Somewhere other than golf club?" You laughed at the last part before nodding "I'd love to" You took her phone from her and typed in your number "Text me tonight alright?" Juyeon could only wordlessly nod as you left her there frozen. Her members watched the whole situation also not believing that you actually gave her your number.
"I-I make it worth your time I swear" She yelled after you, you turned your head in her direction and smiled brightly at her "I can't wait" You yelled back before leaving with your friends. If you didn't ran away after that stunt she pulled before then you definitely were the one.
Tickletober Day 30: Flinch
fandom: criminal minds
word count: 870
pairing: penelope garcia x reader (platonic)
summary: penelope began playing a game with you and you can't take it anymore
Tumblr media
Penelope Garcia scared the shit out of you, but not in the way most people would think.
Penelope was a ray of sunshine. Positively delightful to be around on days when you found that you couldn’t even fake a smile and she prided herself on that. However, Penelope wasn’t shy to mischief and once she found out about your ticklishness, you were done for.
At first, it was just subtle pokes in the abdomen to get you to lighten up, but as the weeks went on, Penelope began upping the ante. She would squeeze your kneecap during meetings, pinch your sides when she snuck up behind you, and one time she even trapped you in an elevator and tickled you silly.
So, yeah, you were terrified of Penelope Garcia because you never knew when or where she would strike.
Recently, she began playing this little game with you where she would reach her hand out to your side or lunge at you unexpectedly just to see how hard you’d flinch. She had you on edge for close to a week and she hadn’t even touched you.
Your final straw was when she had faked you out after you’d returned home from a case and you looked extra burnt out. Penelope saw that you were the last one to leave, so she took the opportunity to sneak up on you and pretend as if she was going to tickle you. Of course, you had flinched and inhaled sharply, preparing yourself for her impending attack just like you did every time, but this time you’d had enough.
“UGH! Penelope!” You yelled, more frustrated at the situation than at her. “If you’re gonna do it, just do it!”
You wish you could have retracted what you’d said the second you saw Penelope’s lips curve into a smirk. “You’re giving me permission?” She asked. You sighed and shook your head.
“N-No, that’s not what I meant… I’m just tired of this little game you keep playing,” You explained yourself, turning back to your belongings to pack up for the night.
“You mean you don’t love flinching every single time I reach my arm out towards you?”
Penelope did as described, only this time actually wiggling a finger into your side, smiling as she watched you flinch out of instinct and arch away.
“Penelope…” You whined, turning to look at her with a pout. She chuckled at your reaction, holding her hands up in surrender.
“Alright, alright, I promise I won’t do it anymore. You just look a little down and I thought you could use some cheering up,” She uttered out. You sighed and looked at the ground.
“Yeah, it was a tough one. I’m just exhausted,” You mumbled, bringing a hand up to press your thumb and middle finger to your temples to try and rid yourself of the upcoming headache. You heard Penelope click her tongue which prompted you to glance back up at her, seeing that her arms were open wide.
“Come here,” She beckoned, waving her hands to silently tell you to hug her. You smiled sadly and walked forward into her arms, wrapping yours around her as tight as you could. Your head rested on her chest and inhaled slowly, taking in the moment.
You wouldn’t lie and say the playfulness of your relationship with Penelope wasn’t fun. Physical touch was your love language, after all, but this was your favorite. Just being held by someone who cared about you.
You stayed in that hug for what felt like an hour, just relishing in the weight that it held. Penelope cared for you and your happiness.
“Feeling better?” She asked after minutes of listening to your breathing. You hummed and squeezed her a bit tighter.
“Much better. Thank you.”
“Good. I’m glad. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I did say you needed a bit of cheering up,” She responded back, her tone of voice changing dramatically. You knew that tone well enough to know what was about to happen and unluckily for you, you had fallen straight into her trap.
Where Penelope’s fingers were resting against your ribcage, she began contracting them harshly and vibrating them into the crevices of the bones. You, of course, flinched at the suddenness and fell into thunderous laughter. Your legs weakened and Penelope had to hold you up so you didn’t completely fall to the ground.
“GAHAHARCIA! YOHOU TRAITOHOHOR!” You screeched into her chest, hiccupping as you struggled to catch your breath.
“As a profiler, I cannot believe you didn’t see this coming,” She taunted you, tickling every sensitive spot on your ribs and back that she could reach.
“OKAHAY! I’M FEHEELING BETTER NOHOHOW!”
Penelope ceased her attack and unwrapped her arms from around you once she was sure you wouldn’t immediately collapse to the ground, grinning smugly at the sight of your pink cheeks and ticklish smile.
“If all I need to do is tickle you to put you in a better mood, just say the word,” Penelope teased you. You scoffed and slapped her arm before continuing to put away the case files.
“I hate you,” You replied with a reciprocated grin. You knew damn well that you didn’t mean it.
I can't believe this year is already just about over... 2023 has been huge for me in terms of fandom and in real life spaces. This was my first full year publicly out as queer, and it felt at times like the rest of the world was kinda celebrating with me. I made so many new fandom friends and got a lot more involved with the things I'm passionate about. I joined 5 fandom discord servers, beta'd more than a few fics, cheer-read a few others, and participated in 4 fanfiction events. I spent most of the year whining about how I can't get any writing done, but apparently I wrote and posted more fics this year than in 2020, 2021, and 2022 combined! I wrote nearly 50,000 words this year. Thank you to everyone who supported me, encouraged me, laughed and cried with me, or spent time with me in any capacity. I cherish you all.
Anyway, now for the part people actually want lol- here are the 6 fics I published in 2023:
Embers Barely Showing (Proof of Life in the Shadows)
Pairing: Steve/Bucky Rated: M Word Count: <1k Summary: Steve freezes in the doorway. He makes himself breath slowly and deeply, and he takes a moment to get his heart rate back to normal before addressing the man holding a gun to his temple. “Buck, it’s me." // Steve comes home while Bucky is having a dissociative episode.
Judged By The Cover (collab w/ @louikazooie)
As they’re sent off to spend several months touring 50 US cities together, they’ll attempt to overcome their differences and leave the past behind them… maybe they’ll even find love.
The Hazards of Falling in Love (Rescue Me)
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rated: T Word Count: 4k Summary: “So that’s your name?” Rogers hasn't looked away from him once. His eyes are a piercing blue, and Tony barely manages to keep from squirming under his gaze. “Yeah. Or Telecommunications Operator Stark, if we’re getting technical about it.” “Are we?” Tony tilts his head slightly. “Depends. Can I call you Steve?” The man grins. “Wouldn’t have it any other way, Tony.” // Tony Stark doesn't date firemen. But he'll make an exception for Battalion Chief Steve Rogers.
Promises, Promises
Pairing: FirstPrince Rated: E Word Count: 1k Summary: “Works for me. Let me get undress-” Henry stops him with a hand over his. “Slow down, love. I’m going to make you listen to me for once.” “Oh my god,” Alex whispers, seemingly unintentionally. // Alex breaks his promise of a work-free trip. Henry gives him just what he deserves.
Should History Forget Us
Pairing: Steve/Bucky/Tony Rated: E Word Count: est 15k (WIP) Summary: War is over for the kingdom of Starkholde, and King Anthony's knights have returned home at long last. fandom: one piece
relationship: corazon/reader (she/her pronouns used for reader)
tags: canon typical violence, hurt/comfort, angst, happy ending
Tumblr media
You hugged your knees to your chest and waited. The dungeon was cold, unbearably so and it didn’t fit the general temperatures of the country you were in at all. The guards had told you that you were much better off in the cold than outside during the heatwave Dressrosa was experiencing but you had a hard time believing that. After all, with barely a t-shirt and shorts you were constantly shivering.
The only solace were the times when the door opened and the light from the torches lighting up the corridor sneaked in but it was often short lived. It only happened whenever the toy guards entered to bring your food, but other than that you lived in total darkness between cold and hard walls.
Every once in a while he came in. The first thing you noticed about him was how much he loved to speak. He adored the sound of his own voice but it seemed like he enjoyed tormenting you even more. You didn’t know much time you spent imprisoned but it seemed to be weeks, if not months and every time he came in you lost more and more of your hope.
He spoke the most about Rosinante. He tried to tell you that he forgot about you and that he won’t be looking for you and that you should join his side now while he still has the patience to deal with you.
You never talk back to him.
You know his tricks, Rosinante has told you of them often and you were prepared but Doflamingo hated that you ignored him. When you didn’t reply he would clench his teeth hard and you could tell his patience was running thin.
Rosinante please hurry…
You thought quietly one night. You never lost your faith in him, you knew he would come for you. You just hoped it would not be too late whenever he shows up.
You were a trained marine and you were ready for any sort of situation, you felt ashamed for even ending up here in the first place but now that you did you’ll have to bear it until Rosinante showed up. You knew best how thorough marine procedures were and Rosinante had to get the green light from the higher ups before coming to save you. Last thing you wanted was to become a burden like this but now that it happened you had no choice but to wait and fix everything when the right moment came.
~~~
Rosinante sat on the ship railing. He was way too tall to actually perch on it though, and it was more like an awkward lean. However, it was the furthest thing from his mind as his fingers fiddled idly with a cigarette. For once, the nicotine was not enough to calm his nerves and he felt more guilty than he'd like to admit about how much he has been smoking in the past couple weeks.
He tried his best to quit, he really did but in a time like this it felt impossible.
"You're going to fall into the sea."
A gruff voice spoke from behind him and Rosinante only gave a nod of acknowledgement.
"As if it's the first time…"
Rosinante's voice lacked the usual humour in it and Law seemed to catch on.
He sighed and walked up to him. The pirate leaned his weapon on the railing next to Rosinante and crossed his arms over his chest.
"She's okay, you know?"
Without replying immediately, Rosinante pursed his lips and looked to the side.
"I know he didn't do anything to put her life in danger, he wouldn't have leverage over me if he did, but that doesn't mean she's okay." He paused. "You know how cruel he can be."
Rosinante sensed Law tensing up behind him. For a moment it was quiet as if the pirate was thinking deeply about the correct thing to say.
Fighting off a smile, Rosinante shook his head fondly. He knew Law had a hard time with stuff like this and he appreciated how much he tried to cheer him up.
"We can go over the plan again if you'd like."
Rosinante let out a soundless laugh, already feeling better now that his problem child was by his side. "Going over the plan" was something that would make Law feel better and not him but he appreciated it nonetheless.
"Sure, let's go over the plan."
It was a pretty complex plan and Rosinante was proud of Law for figuring everything out down to the last detail. He was even more grateful for being able to be a part of it.
It was not exactly marine protocol (when Akainu is going to find out, Rosinante will get his head melted off) but its so minutious and well thought out that Akainu will have to overlook the insubordination once Doflamingo is behind bars.
Although Rosinante still has to figure out how to explain allying himself with not one but two pirates belonging to the Worst Generation.
He will cross that bridge when he gets to it but now the important part was getting (Y/N) out.
Doflamingo is still not supposed to know he would show up so he's been laying low for a while but if everything goes well Rosinante would save (Y/N) by this time tomorrow.
His part of the plan was simple. Once Law fulfilled the exchange, he would find (Y/N) and break her out. The Straw Hats will finish up the rest while Rosinante calls for back-up. If everything went well, Doflamingo will be in marine custody by sundown.
Of course, a plan going well was a rare occurrence and he didn't expect for things to not go wrong, but as long as (Y/N) would safely return in his arms where she belonged he would call the mission a success.
With a racing mind he gestured Law towards the men's cabin on the Thousand Sunny. They both needed sleep if they wanted to pull it off. As unachievable a goal as that might be.
~~~
You heard the ruckus outside, but you weren’t sure what it meant. On one hand your gut feeling told you it was Rosinante who had come for you but everyone outside your cell whispered about Straw Hat Luffy who decided to take on Doflamingo in order to challenge Kaido.
You didn't understand why these youngsters wanted glory that badly but it may definitely turn out in your favour if you could find the right moment to break out.
Despite your sore limbs from unuse, you stood and made your way towards the small window in the corner of your cell. It was way too high up to easily reach but you have steadily prepared for this moment by dutifully learning every single day the right spots to clutch onto in order to climb up to the window.
The wall was definitely made so it couldn't be climbed but after trying again and again for weeks, you managed to do it. However, because of the steepness you could only linger for a few moments before you inevitably fell.
When you reached the top, you had to squint until your eyes got used to the light but even then you could not see much. You hoped you could hear some useful information.
Just as a group of Doflamingo's henchmen passed by you heard the leader's voice.
"Hurry up! Trafalgar Law is fighting the young master, we need to back him up."
"Right!"
Trafalgar Law… If he was here then Rosinante had to be as well. You knew all about their father-son relationship even if Rosinante kept it as a closely guarded secret. You knew how much they cared for each other. It would make sense for them to come fight their common enemy together.
You breathed a sigh of relief and jumped down from the window. As long as Rosinante was in this country you would have hope. You could stay in the cell for weeks again if it meant you would see him at the end.
~~~
Rosinante's lungs were burning from running and it was one of the only times he regretted his cigarettes. Law was right, as he usually tended to be, but Rosinante wouldn't listen to him and now he had to pay the price.
Nevertheless, he ignored the pain and pushed through. He was so close, just a few more turns in the twisted corridors and he would make it.
"Where is she… Come on…"
He kept running until he found himself at a crossroads. The underground tunnels were cold and dimly lit and making his way through them was a very difficult task. He should have grabbed a random guard for help but in his hurry, he forgot.
He cursed his scattered brain before a soft whistle made him stop in his tracks. It was a leisure tune and Rosinante pressed himself up against the wall to wait and see if the responsible person was going to show up.
Soon enough, a man dressed in Doflamingo's uniform stepped out from one of the tunnels as if it was a walk in the park rather than the dungeon where his master's prisoners were being kept.
Without hesitation, Rosinante lunged at him, grabbed his neck and pushed him against the wall.
"Where is (Y/N)?"
The man looked startled and he raised his arms in surrender.
"Who? What are you talking about?"
Rosinante slammed him against the wall.
"Don't play dumb with me. The marine that is imprisoned here. You know exactly who I'm talking about."
His voice had a threatening edge to it but the soldier wasn't moved. He just grinned.
Tightening his hold on him, Rosinante spoke. "Listen, I'm sure you know who I am. I bet you know I'm a marine as well and I bet you know your master's reign will end today. While your brothers are going to be arrested, I'm going to offer you a pardon. How does that sound?"
The man's expression changed and he looked as if he was contemplating the situation. In the end, he nodded and Rosinante let go of him.
"Fine. You better not tell anyone about this." He paused as if he was awaiting Rosinante's response and he nodded. "Go right here, then right again and at the second turn go left. It's the first door."
Without missing a beat, Rosinante grabbed the man's head and hit it against the wall. The soldier fell to the ground, unconscious. Rosinante rummaged through his clothes until he found the keys to the cells.
"I give you my thanks."
He had no intention of following through with his promise. Rosinante may not be as wicked as his brother but he had no problem being cunning when the situation called for it.
He began running again, only one thought on his mind. He was finally going to see her again.
In no time he reached the door and he saw the number 78 written in big letters. He tried to find the corresponding key but his hands were shaking so hard it was difficult. Eventually, after way too long he found it and fitted it in the lock.
"Rosi, is that you?"
A familiar voice spoke from behind the door and for the first time in weeks his heart settled and he felt relief wash all over him. She was alive. That's all that matters.
She was waiting for him. She knew he would come for her and he let her wait this long… No. Now is not the time.
Rosinante shook away the unwanted thoughts and finally managed to turn the key in the lock and pushed open the door.
On the other side stood (Y/N), teary eyed and looking so painfully tired. Rosinante clenched his teeth in anger at the sight but all of it melted away the moment she jumped into his arms.
"You're here…"
"I'm here now."
She sobbed into his shoulder and somehow he knew this was the first time she cried since she got here. All the weeks of fear and solitude built up and for the first time in so long she felt relief. The same as him.
"I'm sorry for taking so long," Rosinante whispered as he tightened his hold on her.
"You're here now," was the last thing she said before her eyes closed and she fell limp against him.
Rosinante sighed and patted her head softly, before getting to his feet and making his way out while carrying her in his arms.
~~~
When you woke up, it was silent. Way more silent than you were used to anyway.
There were no footsteps of the guards walking outside, and no hustle and bustle of the streets above and no constant dripping of the ceiling that almost drove you insane.
The only thing you could hear was the breathing and soft snoring of several people in the room with you. It almost reminded you of bootcamp and it was comforting if not for the…
If not for the loud snores right next to your ear. You gasped and jumped into a sitting position. You were so drowsy you didn't realise that you had no idea where you were.
You look to your left to see Straw Hat Luffy covered in bandages and sleeping in the same bed as you without a care in the world.
You looked around the room to see about half of the other Straw Hat Pirates, all sleeping and Trafalgar Law.
"Shh…"
Your gaze fell to the table where Rosinante was sitting with a smile and a finger above his lips. You relaxed considerably and let out a breath of relief.
"Come with me," he said and you furrowed your brows in confusion.
He stood up from the chair and motioned for you to follow. You carefully got up from the bed, trying not to wake the dangerous pirates around you and exited through the door.
You inhaled sharply at the sight in front of you. Stretching for what seemed to be like miles were thousands of sunflowers and somewhere in the distance the country of Dressrosa lay in ruin.
The morning sun was warm on your skin and the breeze was calming. You closed your eyes to enjoy the sensation. It was something you took for granted before you were imprisoned, but never again.
A warm arm wrapped around you and you opened your eyes to see Rosinante smiling at you.
You leaned into him and the two of you began walking between sunflowers.
"Thank you…" you whispered low enough for the wind to carry it away.
"No need to thank me." His voice was deep but so familiar it almost made you tear up again. "I'm here for you."
He stopped and turned towards you. "I'm sorry for not coming sooner."
You shook your head. You remembered him saying the same thing before you passed out and you decided to give the same response.
"You're here now." You smiled at him and it took you a second but you soon realised it was your first genuine smile in weeks. "That's all that matters."
Rosinante nodded. "I won't ever leave your side again."
"You better not." You laughed softly before an idea occurred to you. "Why don't we go on a vacation together? We've known each other since our training days but we never went on a holiday, did we? I say we deserve it."
"Hmm," he put a finger to his chin as if he was thinking deeply about it. "That's a great idea!"
You smiled and grabbed his hand. You began leading him through the sunflower field and he happily followed.
What was even more comforting about the situation was knowing that no matter what came between you two, in the end you and Rosinante would find each other again and you would be together like nothing changed.
In that moment, with the sun on your skin and the breeze blowing softly around you, for the first time in a long, long time you finally felt safe and sound with Rosinante by your side.
thank you for reading!!! i hope u enjoyed it and again, im sorry this was so late.
Hi!!!! Now I'm on time, last time I was late for requests, but I liked all the ones you wrote. Can you write about Hifumi with a s/o that is a tomboy, like how they meet and his reaction when he find out that she is a woman and how she felt in love for her, please?
PD. No sabía que hablas español, es muy raro encontrar personas que lo hagan y más en el fandom de Hypmic. HAVE A NICE DAY!! 😊
Hifumi with a tomboy! s/o
Tumblr media
WHY did I always end up with some sort of drama when writing about him?? Anyways, here..! <3 Además, realmente no estoy hablando en español, ¡solo uso un traductor de Google!! Porque algunos de mis fans son de España ^^
Femreader, just wholesome stuff, hurt/comfort, a little bit suggestive?? (he touched your boobie omg)
-In his 'real' character, Hifumi is quite energetic and talkative, so it doesn't matter if you're a shy one or as bubbly as he is - you ended up being friends anyway.
-Maybe just bump into each other in a store and suddenly have a whole talk about a new product you both decide to buy. Ahh, Hifumi knows a few good recipes with this thing, and he's always willing to share his cooking secrets!
-Or maybe you visit his work to pick up your friend late at night and he thinks that you're just her brother or boyfriend, and another, simple conversation goes between you two.
-It doesn't really matter as Hifumi is just really friendly in both his modes, especially if you would respond back with interest.
-Cause it seems his fear is more concentrated not around appearance or behavior, but the fact that it's actually a woman in front of him, due to the manga, so he easily can take your look at face value. (referring to this chapter when he and Doppo meet a little boyish girl, and he thinks it's a boy.)
+It also probably means if he met a really 'feminine' boy, he, once again, wouldn't be scared by his look, if he knew it's a male??
-So even if you, despite short hair and rather baggy clothes, have pretty soft face features or a feminine voice, he doesn't really care, absolutely sure you are an ally, a man.
-He never even doubts it, actually - you just know how to win people over, do you? Because Hifumi really got interested in you pretty soon.
-"Hey, s/o, s/o, wanna go with me and Jakurai-sensei fishing?! It's so so fun!!" - with a cheerful giggle he holds both of your hands and starts jumping in place, causing your arms to wiggle up and down along with his movements. - "And then we can go to my place, I want to cook our catch immediately, hehe!"
-So yea, chilling in his shared house with Doppo was kinda common thing for you.. And if in the beginning you felt kinda guilty for literally taking advantage of your pretty boylike appearance and Hifumi's naiveness, you quickly forget about this. Because he always knows how to make you forget about everything, fooling around and making you laugh with his goofy antics.
-The only moments when you do feel yourself like a criminal are evenings when your ebullient friend gets more quiet, just cuddling with you and sharing his thoughts about his fear. It was so hard sometimes even for someone so careless as him, and he loves to find peace in your arms and soothing words.
-You do understand this cannot go on forever, and ideas about how to finally tell the truth without hurting his feelings too much keep shooting through your mind. Yet uh oh, the solving of your crime happened before you were able to choose your own way.
-Because.. Hifumi is so reckless in his desire to have some fun with you, and sometimes he gets too clingy. Only in a friendly, playful way, yet it doesn't mean his hands can't accidentally brush against your chest during some tickle fight..
"N-no, Hifumi, really, I'm gonna die like that..!" - A small weak chuckle bursts out of your chest as you run away from your friend, holding your sides.
"He~he, I'm gonna catch you again..!" - his footsteps quickly get closer as he catches up with you and grabs your shoulders, pushing down.
With a little thud you both fall into the carpet, giggling and fighting, hands on each other's waist. Your guard got down and you didn't even try to watch if your baggy clothes actually cover your body, too busy with making Hifumi laugh. So when another fit of laughter covers him and his arms, trembling, accidently moved from your waist to your chest, grasping here, you both gasps and froze, shocked.
It's even hard to say whose face gets redder as you just look at each other for a moment, before Hifumi sprang away like a scared deer to the other side of the room, leaning to the table leg, still looking at your widened eyes. Open his mouth, then close, then open again, and you didn't notice that you actually repeated his actions, but also didn't know what to say, both embarrassed and scared.
"I..Hifu-"
"Are you a girl???" - with a high pitched voice he tries to get up just to hit the table top.
"Omg, Hifumi, are you alright?!"
And despite you probably should move away, you actually get closer to his now sobbing figure as he grasps poor hitted the back of his head. Your hands caress his shoulder and for a moment Hifumi whines, as this simple touch arises one of the most strange feelings in his chest. The pain gripped him at the heart from the thought of the woman being actually so close to him, yet the way you pet him was still so reassuring.. Still so familiar.
"Hifumi, I will bring some ice, okay? Does it actually hurt that much? Should I call an ambulance?" - and your worried voice still sounds so soft. His fear always affects his mind, making any sounds from girls around Hifumi sound so sharp and dangerous, yet there is nothing like that with you, as he gets too used to your presence.
His head doesn't even hurt that much, actually, yet here he is, leaning to your shoulder and sobbing in a weak attempt to hide his face. Because it would be too hard to look at your face right now, as Hifumi himself doesn't know what to say. He's afraid, but doesn't want to lose you. As only now he suddenly asks his own feelings and realizes just how deep you actually get into his soul and heart.
"Hifumi..?" - you slowly tried to pull him away to look at his face and finally bring some ice from the kitchen, yet his arms quickly wrapped around your waist as he buried his face in your neck.
"No.. Let's sit like that for a moment.." - his whole body tremble, making his weak voice a little shaky too, yet you didn't push him off, trying to stroke his hunched shoulders as light and soft as you could.
-You thought that after such a terrible accident your friend would totally break off all communication with you, and honestly you can't even judge him, putting all guilt on your own shoulders.
-Yet after a few days he will show up again, asking you shyly to help him in fear. Well, maybe not in a really good way he found out about you being a girl, but the main thing is that he can spend much more time around you then around other females, so it means you kinda can help him health.
-So slowly everything goes back to your normal routine, as you would going for walks or hanging out in his place again. For the new beginning you were pretty soft and careful, as Hifumi also got more coy, touching you much less than usual.
-Only thoughts about you always being so friendly and harmless with him fills him with determination, and after some time you both get used to each other again.
-Or.. Do you? As sometimes you can notice some sort of blush on his cheeks when you sit too close for a long time, watching something together, and when you touch his hands his fingers start to tremble but Hifumi himself didn't act scared..
-Confusing, you just let things go, waiting to see what it will lead to. Cause maybe, just maybe, you feel some sort of interest in him, more than a friendly one, that you always try to suppress, knowing his fear.
-But with such careless attitude you both didn't notice when everything got so serious, and one day another movie night ended up with a soft kiss. And then another, longer one, as Hifumi realizes your lips didn't electrocute him, but actually lure him to feel your softness more.
-"S/o.. I.." - he mumbled after you pulled away, breathing heavily and trying to stop blushing so hard. - "I think I love you.. C-can you stay overnight? I need to kiss you more to fully understand.."
neil clarified that it's not the fans he's upset with and that all he asks for is for people to either stop showing the leak or to at least mark it and the conversation around it as spoilers, which is more than reasonable. i still can't believe that what is possibly the biggest moment for the fandom has gotten out like this and that people are so insensitive when it comes to not putting up any warnings. i was hit by the image on twitter this morning and i'm still unhappy, hours later, about something that usually would've brought me immense joy, because the show means so much to me and i wanted to experience the season in the way it was intended. maybe just don't say that you're not going reveal the spoiler only to then talk about it in a way that leaves no questions. you can tag for potential spoilers on tumblr and there is also a read more option, so you're able to put things under a cut. it takes so little effort to be more considerate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Grouping all of the Anons that I got in response to my post together. Not included in this array is another Anon that I am not posting by request, but the tone is very similar to Anon #1, so that should give you an idea of things.)
Okay, so...wow. Obviously there are a lot of feelings around what happened, which is understandable. But what I'm a bit taken aback by is the seeming lack of personal accountability in a few of these responses. At no point was anyone obligated to continue reading my post if they thought a spoiler was about to be shared, and I find it peculiar that some folks are getting angry at me because they decided to employ critical thinking skills while reading my post (and also, why would you keep reading if you didn't want to see a spoiler but thought one might be forthcoming?).
There's also the notion that The Thing by its very nature is a strange thing to categorize as a spoiler because it shouldn't be surprising or a "twist" for these characters to be in a confirmed relationship...unless Neil was hoping to score brownie points with it after all of the "queer-baiting" accusations from last season. But blaming me for somehow adding to the sturm und drang around the spoiler news is not on, because while I realize I am an easy target (certainly easier than Amazon, at any rate), all of the above is also failing to take into account that I did not actually share the spoiler in my post.
That being said, I am certainly glad that Neil did indeed clarify (on Tumblr and Twitter) that he is not upset with the fans. The problem is, by the time he did so it was already too late, as the post he reblogged had received much more traction than the follow-up(s) and fans were already taking his word as chapter and verse and turning on other fans. This was also another point of concern, seeing how intense the parasocial relationship between some of the fans and Neil seems to be. As I've said previously, it is absolutely understandable for Neil to be upset/angry about what happened and we can, as fans, say that his wishes as the creator should be respected.
But where I saw things go way over the top was what you mentioned, Anon #3. People seemingly breaking down and falling over themselves to apologize to Neil, as if we are his friends whom he would have come over with a cup of tea or a bottle of wine to cheer him up after a bad breakup. So it was that particular response that I felt was really disproportionate to the events that occurred.
Anon #2, the link you shared does work, and I had to laugh at the highlighted comment, as well as Neil's original one, which now seems to have aged like milk left out in the hot sub-Saharan sun for an entire week. In a way, we can definitely say that Neil did warn us, and what he said came true--that if one hung around the official channels, little bits and things would be released into the wild. Amazon very much did fuck up, but it's hard not to find the hilarity (and irony) of them fucking up in the most Good Omens-y, "incompetent angel and demon losing the Antichrist" way possible.
To your point, Anon #3, the leak happened because a 2-frame clip was included in a compilation video that Amazon posted that included clips from multiple shows. But it's for this very reason that most fans didn't think or realize that it was a leak in the first place. So I think you could classify it as a poorly done promo, because whether it was intentional or not (and goodness knows I've seen plenty of theories floating around as to which is the case), it still generated buzz and discussion around the show, which is what promotion of any kind is meant to do.
As you said, however...in the end, is this truly going to make anyone not watch the show? I was away/nonstop busy last week and weekend, so I haven't really had time to process everything, but now that it's sinking in, I am SO incredibly excited. While, yes, it would've been lovely to learn this information in the context of the show and I do understand people who feel disappointed due to this, I genuinely cannot imagine how this news could make the experience of GO 2 less joyful, or why any GO fan would not watch the show because of it. I also have posts from as far back as a year and a half ago alluding to these developments only as a possibility, and I'd very much like to reblog some of those just because of how amazingly/hilariously well they have aged.
With all of that in mind, as I stated previously, any posts I do make from here on out that allude to the spoiler even slightly will be tagged as such (with the tag #go2 spoilers), and will be placed under a "Keep Reading" cut. Because I know there are folks who are dying to talk about all this, whose excitement may have been tempered somewhat in the wake of the fallout but who I am sure are feeling elated and full of anticipation now more than ever.
So those are my thoughts on the follow-up to last week's fandom implosion. Hopefully I've addressed some of the concerns people have, and while I know I likely won't change anyone's mind, I have plenty of other feelings and thoughts to share that I hope folks will stay tuned for...
So that was the first semi final! No big surprises with the qualifiers, and overall I thought it was a decent show!
Qualifiers:
Croatia: Very glad to see this get through! I worried it might be too off-putting for a lot of televoters – thankfully that wasn’t the case! If anything I felt the performance was slightly tamer than I was expecting – no sheer outfits or rosebuds! But that might also be because I’ve grown used to Let 3 over the past few months. Still, so glad they’ll be in the final!
Moldova: I was certain this was going to qualify with ease and I’m happy to be right! The performance was brilliant, the most atmospheric show of the night, I loved every part of it.
Switzerland: The only real ‘surprise’ – with nine entries in this semi the fandom seemed in agreement was going through, Switzerland was the one to take the coveted tenth spot! I did have a feeling one of the ballads might qualify, since they do have their audience and there aren’t that many this year, but I was also in denial because I really wanted this spot to go to another country. Ah well, Remo definitely earned it with his vocal performance, and the staging was also eye-catching.
Finland: Never in doubt! I knew pretty much everything about how this performance would go down from following the national final through to all the published rehearsal footage, yet it still managed to exceed my expectations! Käärijä popping out of the crate like that was perfect and I loved the transition to rainbow colours in the second half of the song. Fantastic song, fantastic show, now to see how far it can go on Saturday!!
Czechia: This one had cooled on me a little and I thought it might be borderline, but seeing it performed tonight I was sure it was going through. The performance was very cohesive, and the pink outfits really stood out against everything else in this semi. Not the strongest vocal performance but the overall energy made up for it.
Israel: I wasn’t impressed by her vocal. Noa kept us waiting by avoiding pre-parties, but she sounded fine to me in rehearsal footage so I’m not sure what happened tonight. It didn’t matter though, the spectacle was enough to see her through, even though honestly I could have done without this one making it.
Portugal: I’m so happy for Mimicat! People seemed worried that her staging was too sparse after the rehearsal footage, but she filled the stage tonight, and smashed that high note once again! I thought she was great! (although it was at this point when they were announcing qualifiers I realised I was going to lose my underdog faves)
Sweden: The other entry whose qualification was never in doubt. The only time I noticed the box was small was in the moment right after she first stood up, it looked as stunning as in MelFest for the rest of the performance – and of course that wouldn’t be noticed by a first-time viewer. Loreen knocked it out of the park, she’s deservingly very much in contention for the crown.
Serbia: My third place this year so I’m glad he got through! I did start to question Luke’s chances since he was announced so late, but thankfully he made it! The performance was what I expected, sharp and enticing – it was the exact vibe I was after!
Norway: Announcing her last took all the suspense out of the results honestly – no way she wasn’t going to qualify, the song is too memorable. The staging felt a little empty, as did Alessandra’s outfit actually, although I did like her cape in the first part. Her energy was decent though, and the song strong enough by itself to carry Norway right through to the final.
Non-Qualifiers:
Malta: I loved their show! The concept was the same as in MESC but elevated. The only thing I would have changed is I would have actually liked to see the jumper change onscreen – it was a little odd just seeing the saxophone and drummer and hearing a huge cheer – then the camera pans around and we saw the sparkly jumper. I loved every thing else though, and I’m sad it wasn’t enough. This semi was just too strong.
Latvia: Another huge heartbreak, probably my biggest of the night, though I knew their chances were always slim. The staging and performance was everything I could have asked for, I really hope Sudden Lights feel proud of the show they put on – they should! I’m so sad for Latvia failing to get through again, but I hope they stick to their guns and continue to send alternative and unique acts.
Ireland: A little sad that Ireland still haven’t cracked it yet, but based on the song this result was definitely fair. I vibed with the song more than I ever have this entire season, it was definitely tailor-made to be played in an arena like this and it helped it out having the crowd there, but it’s still not a very strong entry, so personally I’m glad it’s staying here.
Azerbaijan: I actually really enjoyed this one live. The split-screen effects might have been overused, it felt they were throwing everything at it, but the colour scheme was beautiful with the two-tone lights behind them switching colours throughout. In my live reactions I described it as ‘pleasant’ – unfortunately pleasant isn’t enough to qualify.
The Netherlands: Once Switzerland got through I knew this had no hope of making it. I still like it a lot as a song, but I think I prefer it in the studio cut. I didn’t enjoy when Dion sang up the octave – I can’t remember him doing that before, but I don’t think it worked. I really hope that they’re not given too much hassle by the media, they still put on a decent show.
I could have been more confident with my predictions actually – despite all my hopes this semi final went exactly according to the betting odds, which made for a not very exciting set of results, though in the end a reasonably deserved set. With Malta and Latvia both failing to make it, there’s no way Romania and San Marino, my underdog faves in semi 2, will qualify, but hopefully Austria and Australia should sail through, and I’m looking forward to what should be a great show no matter what!!
A/n: I finally have some motivation so yall might wanna send in requests while I'm still hot 😭💀 enjoy this! <3
Tumblr media
--------------------------------------------------
You were sat at the end of your bed, leaning over and resting your head in your hands.
You wanted to sob but you felt exhausted. Recently, everything just kept getting worse. You felt like everything was happening so quickly and it would all go so fast that you hadn't realised what was happening around you until you found yourself in bed at night, surrounded by these thoughts in your head.
Being an avenger in training along with being a teenager and living a normal life- honestly you were beginning to understand Peter's world.
You actually got a girlfriend a while ago, you came out before and everyone was accepting so it was alright. You'd told a couple people about your new girlfriend after a while of dating but yesterday... Well let's say you're single now.
You didn't know what to do, you'd cried yourself to sleep last night and slept in today. You didn't really leave your room apart from school today, but even in the car with Peter you didn't talk much, just staring amelessly out the window.
The day just seemed dull and your mood didn't go unnoticed. Usually after school you'd feel a bit better if you were having a dull day but you still whined back to your room, not to been seen for hours.
So here you sat, on the edge of your bed, at the edge of tears. You just felt so alone and heartbroken.
You felt a tear slip down your cheek and you just let yourself silently sob into your hand. For a moment you just sat in that sadness as you forgot about your surroundings, then you heard the door open, followed by a knock.
You looked up and away quickly, wiping your eyes with a t-shirt but not wanting whoever was there to see you in this state if your eyes were puffy or what not.
"Hey, you want some cookies?" You heard a bright voice ask from your door way.
You had to look over, trying to look alright with a smile. You saw Wanda standing there, holding a batch of freshly baked cookies that she'd most likely made as you came home from school.
You smiled up at her and shook your head, stumbling over your words a little as you denied her offer with a broken voice. Though she knew something was wrong, she walked over to you and sat down on your bed next to you.
"Here, take one, you know you want it~" you chuckled at her as she waved it in your face and rolled your eyes. She put it in your mouth and you smiled, holding it and taking a bite out of it yourself. As per usual, delicious.
You laughed, waving the cookie next to your face. "Mmm, delicious"
The two of you laughed together, Wanda taking a bite out of her own cookie and agreeing with you. You laughed at her, and she then stopped to ask you what's been going on recently.
You didnt say anything though, looking away and taking a bite out of your cookie again in guilt.
Wanda gave you a warm smile though, "it's okay, I'm here" she offered you a hug and you leaned in towards her. The two of you sat there for a moment, quietly together.
You then pulled apart and placed your cookie on your bedside table.
"Whats wrong dear?" Wanda asked, waiting patiently for an answer. You looked at her and sighed, leaning over again on your knees, knowing that you'd be unable to tell her if you were looking at her in fear of breaking down again.
"I just- I dunno. I- you remember that girl I was dating?"
"(Name)"
"Yeah- yeah her. Well, yesterday, well she sorta- we broke up." You just had to spit it out. There was no sugar coating it.
"Oh no-"
"Yeah. Yeah well, you know." You laughed, trying to fight the tears in your eyes.
"I guess, I dunno. She didnt- I couldnt- with the hero stuff it's all just so complicated and she thought I was keeping secrets and- I guess it's all my fault. I couldn't exactly tell her everything going on- it was just- I really liked her Wanda.. I really-"
Tears began to fall down your cheeks as your voice began to wobble. You wiped your face as soon as you realised the tears had began flowing and tried to forced yourself to laugh, hoping that would play down the situation.
Wanda sat patiently, listening to you. It hurt her to see you like this, so heartbroken. She took hold on the hand that was gripping your thigh in an attempt to stop the pain.
And for a moment you calmed down. Her warms, the love, meant everything to you. Just that moment of quiet love.
You leaned into her touch and she hugged you, holding you there.
"It's okay, shhh. It's not you're fault Y/n"
The two of you sat there as you cried, hugging her and sobbing over a break up. She comforted you through it all, loving and caring for you, looking after you when you needed. Sure you didn't have a mum, but you had a Wanda.
You both sat there for a long time. She confirmed you, listening and waiting patiently until you'd calmed down.
"You don't need her, you'll find someone. Guy, girl, robot"
You laughed, Wanda giggling too as she wiped away your last remaining tears.
"There's someone out there for you Y/n, you're incredible. Her loss really" Wanda shrugged, grinning at you as she used her powers to pop the cookie back in your mouth and poke you in the side. You jumped back and laughed, taking a bite out of the cookie and putting it back while trying to scramble away.
The ginger only grinned and giggled at you as you struggled to get away from her magical pokes which only pushed you further onto your bed.
"Wanda!- wait!" You jumped at each poke as they only got quicker. The woman standing up and twirling her fingers as her magic glided through the and onto your torso making you curl up and giggle on your bed.
"Whats wrong my love? Ticklish?" She couldn't contain her grin as you blushed a little at the statement. You wriggled around on the bed giggling like a little kid. No one would have believed you were having a breakdown moments before.
"Shuhuhush! Wanda!" You squeaked a little louder when you felt a feather by your ears and neck, trying to slap it like a bug only for there to be nothing there. "Wandahaha!"
"Yes dear?"
"Sthohop poking mehehe!" You trued to twist and turn and curl up but nothing seemed to be working, just then you felt the bed dip a little as the witch climbed up onto the bed and decided she wanted to tickle you herself.
You were now on your back and she leaned over, tickling your sides lightly as you arched a little, only receiving more tickles in the process. Wanda decided to move her hands in two directions, one moving up your ribs and the other down your side, letting her nails scatter all around your torso and midsection.
You let out a squeal on accident, holding your hands over your mouth and staring at her to see her reaction in fear.. instead you were given the same treatment in hopes for another reaction- which certainly came again.
"Wahahandaha!"
"Y/nnnnn!~" Wanda teased, leaning in to see your red face up close and trying to fluster you more.
She then watched as your shirt lifted from so much wriggling around, then she scattered her fingers across your stomach and on your belly button, spidering your belly making you laugh harder and squeal again. Pulling up your knees and hugging yourself best you could.
Wanda then- somehow, you don't know how- worked her fingers between your ribs and armpits, making you twist in your position. Your laughter grew and Wanda giggled along with you, teasing you about how ticklish you were.
"You're ex is really missing out, good thing we never met her, otherwise me might have told her about this little secret!" Wanda teased, scrunching her nose and coping you. "You're so ticklish! Honestly, I don't think anyone should have you other than me!"
Wanda's teasing was making everything feel ten times worse, bit then she did something you didn't expect as you had closed your eyes from laughing. She quickly leaned down and blew a raspberry on your stomach, making you kick out and go bizarre and laugh harder and louder than you had all week.
"Mmm... you're so delicious! No one else deserves you!" She teased, doing it again and vibrating her fingers into your sides this time.
"WANDA!"
"Y/NNNN!" She mocked, then nibbling at your sides and stomach as you giggled and wiggled around.
Again she somehow managed to find her way into your armpits and wriggling around in there. You trued to wriggle free but she just kept weakening you by tickling you senseless.
"Wahahahnda! Plehehase! I'm dohone-im hahappehey!"
"Well I'm very happy you're happy but I'm hungry!" She teased, nibbling away at you and tickling you everywhere she could reach, occassionally pinching your kneecaps to make you kick out occassionally.
Then the two of you heard a knock at your door, followed by chuckling by a very familiar machine.
Wanda blew a raspberry on your stomach and then continued to tickle the areas so you wouldn't be able to escape as she spoke to vision.
"Oh hello dear" Wanda greeted, as if she wasn't absolutely wrecking you on the bed.
"Hello darling" Vison chuckled at the scene, "well dinners almost ready, but I wouldn't want to ruin this moment for you both" he teased.
"VISSSSSSION HEHEHELP!" You called out.
Wanda whipped her head around and looked at you in betrayal, she lifted one hand and whipped it, "oh no you don't!" Suddenly your arms were up and giving free access as she scribbled around, giving herself free access to your body. You threw your head back and screamed, laughing like a crazy person and trying to use your legs for protection but failing miserably.
"Sorry for that love" she turned back around, continuing the conversation as if nothing as happening.
"Oh that's quite alright dear, be down in 10...oh and get her hips"
"VISION YOU'RE DEHEHEAHD-" You threatened as you heard him laugh down the hall and Wanda turn back to you. The only reason he said that is because it was such a weird feeling like and you would always do a little dance type thing when tickled there.
Wanda leaned over and gripped one in each hand, digging her thumbs right into your hips and bikini line which honestly tickled a lot more than you expected and couldn't explain the hilarious and unbearable feeling that arose in your stomach and hips making you scream.
"WAHAHANDA IM SORRRYYYYY"
"Don't apologise dear, I just wanted to make you feel better" she explained, realising you were at your limit and now rubbing your stomach to help stop the tickly sensations around your body. She also released her magic so you hugged yourself as she now rubbed your back to make you feel better.
"Task well done then" you laughed, turning over and looking up at her again. Wanda sat above you, smiling down at you and pushing your messy hair out of your face which had a dopey smile.
"You feeling better now?" She asked, smiling down at you. You sat up and turned to her, smiling, not as brightly as before, but feeling better than you had.
"Yeah" you smiled at her, "yeah, a lot better"
Wanda smiled at you and ruffled your hair, "Good, now come on then, let's go get some dinner"
