angsty aoyama hcs

sfw. warnings: contains spoilers for chapter 336 of the manga.

author’s note: this was inspired by the song ‘promise’ by laufey.

• who was the one to end things? you. you were, but it was after you found out that aoyama was helping the lov— or league of villains— and causing most of their encounters with u.a. high

— “you are the most selfish boy i have ever met! we’re done!”

• he handled it pretty well, all things considered (he cried himself to sleep for a week straight)

• after being caught, he ofc ended his association with the league of villains, choosing to instead help the heroes defeat all for one, but this doesn’t mean that he was welcomed with open arms at first

— sure, it was a relief that he wasn’t on the villain’s side anymore, but you weren’t ready to immediately forgive him

• luckily, aizawa gave aoyama a second chance, while flat out stating that he has "no intention of expelling him,” so he is still attending the school

• i feel like aoyama would be outside your room, pleading for you to come talk to him. even if it is just for a minute

— he’d get yelled at bakugou to shut up…..let’s be honest with ourselves. 💀 bros trying to get his beauty rest

• it took aoyama weeks to finally be able to talk to you and even then, he was able to catch you outside of your dorm because you wanted to grab a small meal (that you may or may not have forced bakugou to make for you)

— “shit…okay, what do you want now?”

• aoyama, knowing he didn’t have a whole lot of him, began to profusely apologize, saying if there was any way he could atone to you, he would do it in a heartbeat.

— it’s hard for you to come up with any ideas because a lot of your friends were injured the times the villains infiltrated school property

— you don’t want to forgive him and as far as you’re concerned, you don’t love him anymore, so why does your heart burn at the sight of aoyama like this?

• it didn’t take long for some of the other students to slowly gather where you two were

• not liking the attention whatsoever, you set your plate aside and pulled aoyama elsewhere in the building where you two began talking about…well…everything. him, you, the both of you/your relationship, his association with the lov, etc.

— this is when aoyama finally admits that he still loves you and if you’ll have him, he’d love to be given a second chance to be called your boyfriend. but it’s not up to him. it’s your decision.

so…will you take him back or not?

Mha Aoyama headcanons

I don’t know why but I think he has a box full of glitter somewhere in his room

It’s just there waiting for someone

Different types of glitter like rainbow glitter to metallic glitter etc…

Since it was shown he likes bright and colorful things ever since the bedroom competition even from before (doesn’t anyone think is much canon?)

Probably would make a massive mess and Iida would scolded him for it, while Tokoyami and dark Shadow be just there looking at how shiny it is

While Aoyama is saying I just spreading my sparkle or something across those line

Can someone make a comic out of this it would be pretty funny

(P.S I know what happen with Aoyama I was sad but this is for all good fun)

Mha headcannons

• Aizawa threw up during sex ed and Nemuri and Hizashi never let him live it down.

• Bakugo religiously watches the Twilight movies.

• Ojiro likes yarn-made friendship bracelets and makes them for himself all the time. When Denki found out about this he tried to make Ojiro one but it just turned out as a few pieces of yarn covered in knots. Of course, Ojiro cherishes the bracelet forever (and he makes Denki one in return that has yellow flower patterns on it)

• Deku knows a lot about trains and reads articles about them all the time. He wants to create an app where he can track different trains as they travel across the country.

• Mina loves cake pops. She spends a good amount of her paycheck buying them from Starbucks.

• Shoji used to be afraid of the water because he was genuinely convinced he would never be able to swim due to his arms. He didn’t learn to swim until he was a teenager and it was only because a small child was drowning at the pool and he had to jump in and swim to go save the kid.

• Momo has a hard time with body positivity and tries to complement herself in the mirror every morning. It’s never easy for her to do.

• Aizawa brings kittens to school with him. Nezu has given up on trying to stop him.

• Aoyama’s favourite song is “Noel’s Lament” from the musical “Ride The Cyclone”

• Bakugo is secretly a musical theater kid. (Author Note: I will die on this hill.) When Aoyama, whose also a musical theater kid, finds out about this he confronts Bakugou. After several arguments and a few weeks Bakugo comes clean about his love for musicals. The two perform Dear Evan Hansen in their rooms together on the weekend.

• Shoto likes Adventure Time. He refuses to watch anything that isn’t either PG or on Cartoon Network.

• Tsuyu is incredible at Dance Dance Revolution and Mario Kart. Her and Kirishima have video game competitions all the time, which Tsuyu always wins. The only one who has come close to beating her is Deku while playing Pac-Man.

• Aizawa has a cat named Push-pop. (I know there are a lot of Aizawa headcannons but DEAL WITH IT)

• Eri likes listening to Katy Perry. Shinsou introduces her to Lady Gaga. Chaos ensues.

• All Might drinks tea, never coffee.

• Hawks makes nests out of his clothes to sleep in. One day Hawks mentors Tokoyami and their junior mission ends up becoming a several day mission. Hawks obviously keeps watch while Tokoyami sleeps. He notices the boy making a little nest out of the two different jackets he was wearing. Tokoyami looks up to see Hawks watching him and feels severely embarrassed, trying to hide the makeshift nest and come up with an explanation. Hawks comforts him and let’s him know that it’s ok and that he does the same thing. It’s just a part of their quirks and who they are, there isn’t anything to be ashamed of. (Wholesome moments? Yes, they are possible.)

pairing: yuuga aoyama x gn!reader

tags: spoilers for season 8, angst, break up

during his time at UA, aoyama had always tried to keep his distance from everyone

he couldn't get attached to anyone, knowing he would eventually have to betray them

but you had still made friends with the boy. no matter how annoying he was, no matter how little effort he had put into the relationship, you still stayed his friend

you were too kind and despite his original plans to keep his distance, he fell in love with you

yet time and time again, he had to betray you. put you in danger. sell you out to all for one

you got badly hurt during the USJ incident, because he told the league of villains that his class was going to be there

during the summer camp, the same thing happened again. he cowered behind a bush, as he watched you desperately fight the villains

all those times you got hurt, it was his fault. and you didn't even know!

you fell in love with a guy who did all those horrible things to you. you fell in love with a filthy villain like him

things seemed to be looking good between the two of you, when aoyama broke up with you out of the blue

you didn't understand why. had you done something wrong?

aoyama never gave you a clear answer. he told you it just wasn't meant to be

it isn't until much later when he's revealed as the traitor, that you slowly start to understand what had happened

despite that, you were still in love with him. you had been even after he broke up with you. you always would be in love with him

the boy you fell in love with, that was the real aoyama! you knew he was a kind person, who never wanted to hurt anyone…

Dark Shadow is eerily good at judging someone’s character from just a glance and gets along well with just about anyone. There are some people though that Dark Shadow will despise for no good reason. Here is a reminder that DS has very black and white thinking, so they will either love you and protect you with their life…or they will hate you with every ounce of their being and dance on your grave.

The biggest problem dark shadow has is their “Ego” it’s not so much a problem that they think they are all powerful, but it is a problem when someone is more powerful than them. Dark Shadow defines their worth on how useful they are, if someone holds their weakness (light) then they become disillusioned and fearful. If this person can defeat them then tokoyami is defenseless and it scares them that someone could hurt tokoyami. I suppose it’s more about dark shadows fear of the people they care about getting hurt then anything else.

And when ds is afraid they can become aggressive. The aggressiveness can manifest as direct antagonization to try and assert dominance over this person they see as a threat. Examples like growling and making themself bigger when the person approaches is common but ds can also just say mean words to make them leave them alone.

Their fear can also manifest as timidity. Their timidness is an effort to show submissive behavior because they are convinced the person has already defeated them and has accepted being inferior to them. Avoiding eye contact, becoming smaller, being quiet or not speaking at all, and even fleeing the room or returning to Tokoyami’s body are examples of this.

Dark Shadow has immediate distrust of new people they meet and don’t speak to them until they have gotten to know tokoyami already. When tokoyami first came to UA ds rarely showed their face much less spoke. This a temporary adjustment period though and was born out of being feared for their whole life, much like how shoji wears his mask to avoid scaring people ds also hid themself. (After being at UA for a year and finally having friends that are not only understanding but genuinely like being around them, they will gain a lot more confidence and be unapologetic about being out)

As far as specific people Dark shadow dislikes there are a few I can think of off the top of my head.

Endeavor(unresolved)-ds has never met endeavor personally but mixing an aggressive man known for beating kids (todoroki is one of ds’s friends which they are protective of) with an insanely powerful fire quirk and ds already has rage boiling at the thought of the man

Bakugo(unresolved)-bakugo is also an aggressive person with a fire quirk, even though they have very similar personalities ds will pick fights with him

Shihai Kuroiro(unresolved)-vantablack possessed ds that one time, they have not forgiven or forgotten. Will not let him near them no mater how many times he apologizes

There are also some people Shadow used to fear but have been able to accept

Aoyama(???)- **SPOILERS about the manga for post season 6 of the anime!** ds cannot really get near him without pain due to his lazer leaking. They also sensed something “off” about him but when they told tokoyami about the weird stuff he does at night tokoyami just brushed him off. Ds did reluctantly get to know Aoyama though and they are very similar in their flamboyant personalities and will tease each other in a friendly manner…ds still wasn’t surprised when he was revealed and got a big fat I TOLD YOU SO…but it was bittersweet, ds has forgiveness in their heart though (maybe)

Aizawa(resolved)-aizawa can erase quirks, ds would behave as much as possible around him but when his job is to teach heroics they quickly had to get over this fear. It was mostly due to that aizawa is so perceptive and noticed ds was sentient and started treating them with more respect

Kinoko Komori(resolved)-let it be known that ds can definitely hold a grudge. They were seriously worried about tokoyami after he inhaled those spores during the training exercise, but quite frankly kinoko was so genuinely apologetic and nice afterwards they pretty much forgave her right away. It probably helps that Shadow themself was never actually defeated (ds would knock her tf out if she ever tried it again, she really isn’t a threat in their mind)

Todoroki(resolved)- todoroki is one of Shadows good friends, but sometimes his fire reminds them of dabi, both ds and tokoyami get triggered sometimes and can be put off from training or hanging out with him. Todoroki (the angel that he is) knows this and talked with them about it. Things are ok now.

Also just because dark shadow has unresolved issues with some people doesn’t mean they will never be resolved. They are just taking longer to get there.
