I have a theory as to the possible reason why Chapel and Spock have this odd relationship in TOS.

I think the Events of the 8th episode of the 2nd season could be the trigger here.

We know Christine lied ... and she's struggling with her wartime trauma. She build walls around her. BUT I could imagine that the relationship with Spock, despite the current difficulties, will intensify again in the course of the series and then somehow come to light what she is hiding with regard to MBenga.

Spock then feels betrayed. He splits for the same reason TPring had done. Christine tries to forget all about hin and then she meet Korby at the Academy. She's going into a relationship with him but I think he's more a second choice because her relationship with Spock didn't work.

Spock i think tries to forget to .... so he learn to supress his strong feelings.

A Snake Shouldn’t Be Trusted

Story Description: “A snake like yourself shouldn’t be here.”

Characters: Milk Tea Cookie, Bittersweet Mocha Cookie, Affogato Cookie & Dark Cacao Cookie

Story Warnings: Angst, Betrayal, Near Death Situations, Strong Language.

Note: This is a sequel to the first story! Milk Tea belongs @sugaaaaaaaar hope ya guys enjoy!

It’s been weeks since Milk Tea’s encounter with Bittersweet Mocha, and she don’t want to remember it at all. Even with the warnings that Affogato told her about his daughter being an snake eye cookie and her being dangerous, Milk Tea still wanted to know what she was planning. Walking through the cidil, Milk Tea seen Affogato talking to his daughter, but she don’t know what they were talking about. But something caught her eyes as she walked closer before she accidentally tripped on herself and fell which made the two stop talking. Not only Milk Tea distributed their conversation, Affogato handed something to his daughter which made her walk away as she covered her face with her fan. As soon as Bittersweet Mocha left the area, Affogato helped Milk Tea up which made her embarrassed about what happened.

“You shouldn’t really be wondering around at night, it’s not safe for a cookie like yourself.” Affogato said as he looked behind him.

Milk Tea was confused about it, what did Affogato mean by that? Was something lurking around the kingdom or was it something dangerous. Before Milk Tea could walk towards where Bittersweet Mocha was at, but Affogato stopped her.

“Milk Tea it’s to dangerous please and I mean please go back to your room.. It’s for your safety..” Affogato said in a worry tone.

A soft sigh escape from Milk Tea as she agreed, with Milk Tea walked back to her room, she waited for Affogato to go in his room before she could sneak out again. With minuets passed, Affogato went back into his room and it gave Milk Tea the opportunity to see what’s happening. With Milk Tea walking through the halls again, she had an small lantern as she walked through the halls and only stopped to see Bittersweet Mocha standing in front of something but she couldn’t help to get a closer look but stopped in her tracks, her heart was racing fast as she saw Affogato’s daughter in front of the king.

“You became weak my king, not only your weak but everyone knows your a disgrace to the kingdom. Your son would’ve make a better king than you. Hm what do you want, a memory that will drive you insane or a slow and painful process of death. Pick your choice my king.”

The king didn’t reply which only made Bittersweet Mocha only giggle, as her snake like eyes looked at Dark Cacao, something triggered him. It was something, it was an memory, it only made the king groan in pain as Bittersweet Mocha held her knife near the kings chin.

“One last call my king. Choose.. Your.. Damn.. Fate!” Bittersweet Mocha yelled as her knife slowly cut into him.

Milk Tea couldn’t watch anymore, she backed away before she back into someone. It made her heart race faster more and more, when she looked behind her she couldn’t see who it was before something made her pass out.

“You should’ve listen. The snake’s daughter will make everything better.” ??? Said.

Morning arose, Milk Tea shot up from her bed and looked around and seen someone in her room. That person was Bittersweet Mocha, she was nervous about her. Affogato was right, she was dangerous to be in this kingdom but why the king won’t get rid of her? Fear, greed or something else? Who knows to be honest.. With Bittersweet Mocha placed a tray of tea and jellies on her tray, she gently smiled at Milk Tea and sat on the bed.

“You look like you seen a ghost.”

“What happened last night? What did you do to king dark cacao?” Milk Tea questioned.

“Don’t worry about him, he’s fine. Here drink and eat this it will help you.” Bittersweet Mocha said she softly smiled.

Milk Tea don’t trust her but she refuses to drink and eat the jellies. Bittersweet Mocha sighed as she sat up from the bed and walked out.

“If I was you Milk Tea, I would be careful especially around me. You won’t know what will happen next.”

“What you mean by that?” Milk Tea questioned.

“You’ll find out soon, like I said don’t act all goodie towards me. You will fucking regret it.” Bittersweet Mocha replied.

With Bittersweet Mocha closed the door, Milk Tea had to think about what happened. Something is happening around the kingdom. She had to warn the king, but she had to think.. Will even Affogato let her towards the king or something else. Milk Tea has to think about it…

The doors to the room opened, revealing Cuphead. He noticed Y/n standing in the room alone with her back turned to him. “Heya Doll! What’s goin’ on?” He asked as he walked towards Y/n.

She said “You’ve married an Icarus. He has flown too close to the sun.”

“Don’t take another step in my direction.” Y/n hissed. She kept her body facing away from him, she didn’t want him to see the tears in her eyes. “You can’t be trusted around me.”

Cuphead looked at her, confused. “Doll, I don’t understand-” He was cut off by Y/n.

“Don’t think you can talk your way into my arms. Into my arms.” She held up the radio for Cuphead to see. The words ‘Location tracked.’ were visible on the device screen. Static came through the radio and the faint voice of Abel could be heard. “We-.…way-….there-…” Cuphead was at a loss for words, Y/n wasn’t supposed to have found the tracker.

I’m burning the letters you wrote me.

“You can stand over there if you want. I don’t know who you are. I have so much to learn.” Y/n’s voice cracked as she spoke and tears fell from her eyes. Cuphead was frozen in fear and worry.

“Y/n….It’s not what you think it is.” Cuphead tried to make an excuse.

“Don’t. I’m not naive. I have seen how you act around us. I fell for your charm. All your charm.” Y/n answered quickly with a sour tone.

“I’m erasing myself from the prophecy. Let future heroes wonder how Y/n reacted when you broke her trust.” Y/n’s voice softened but then went back to rigid. “You have torn it all away! Stand back watch it burn! Just watch my trust burn!” In her anger, she threw the device to the ground at full force. Causing it to shatter into millions of pieces.

Y/n then turned to look at Cuphead and go face to face with him. A glare decorating Y/n’s features. “And when the time comes, explain to the others. The pain and embarrassment you put their best friend through!”

“When will you learn that they are your legacy?! We are your legacy!” Y/n screamed to him, rage filled her expression. “If you thought you were mine!!”

Cuphead tried to reach out gently to Y/n but she grabbed his wrist before he could move his hand any closer. She glared at him with tears staining her cheeks. “Don’t!”

Then the doors to the room opened once more, revealing the rest of their friends.
