Journaling under the sun today…

I am visualizing and writing about my dream life. I’ve realized that it’s much more attainable than I assumed and I’m realizing a lot of what I want about my ideal life is already currently coming to fruition and that I can manifest and work on anything that I don’t currently have. There’s a lot to be grateful for.

After describing my ideal life, I’ve made a list of actionable steps I can take towards my dream life that I can start today.

The sunshine is giving me energy and my fluorite is giving me peaceful vibes and mental clarity.

WITCH TIP

Your grimoire/book of shadows/etc. can all be online, it doesnt need go be a physical journal or binder. You can do it on google docs/slides, you can dedicate a tumblr blog, i have a folder in my notes app dedicated to witchy stuff (some notes on reflections, some are spell recipes, some are reminders, etc).

Last night I had a dream where I was pulling cards— from what type of deck, I’m unsure. The leftmost card in the spread was a ten, and it was the only card that seemed to matter to me. I don’t think there was any suit affiliated with it, and the art looked historical rather than modern. I can’t quite remember what the art was, or the meaning of the card, but in the dream I knew. It wasn’t positive— but I don’t think it was overly negative, either

Book 2 au: sparring sessions and short hair katara

They like to have sparring sessions in order to keep their bending skills sharp. They allow themselves to go all out and not hold back at all cause they know if anyone got hurt, Katara could just heal them

But anyways, wouldn't it be kinda funny if Zuko accidentally burned Katara's hair tho? Aofkqldkkajfjd

I'm re-reading the Discworld series for reasons, and honestly the most relatable part of reading these as an adult is how many of the protagonists start out being tired, used to their little routine and vaguely disgruntled by the interruption of the Plot. Sam Vimes wants to lie drunk in a gutter and absolutely doesn't want to be arresting dragons. Rincewind is yanked into every situation he's ever encountered, though he'd much rather be lying in a gutter too. (Minus the alcohol. Plus regretting everything he's ever done said witnessed or even heard about fourth-hand in his whole life.) Granny Weatherwax is deeply suspicious of foreign parts and that includes the next town over; Nanny has leaned into the armor of "nothing ever happens to jolly grannies who terrorize their daughters-in-law and make Saucy Jokes"

Only the young people don't seem to have picked up on this---and that's fortunate, because someone has to run around making things happen, if only so Vimes and Granny and Rincewind have a reason to get up (complaining bitterly the whole time) and put it all to rights. Without Carrot, Margrat, Eric, etc. these characters don't have that reason; they're likely to stay in the metaphorical gutter and keep wondering where it all went wrong or why anything has to change.

............well, that's not quite true. You get the sense that Vetinari knows how much certain people hate the Plot. And as the person sitting behind the metaphorical lighting board of Ankh-Morpork, he takes no small pleasure in forcing the Plot-haters specifically to stand up, and say some lines.

#I finished guards guards just yesterday and I forgot that vimes and wonse were set up to be mirror images #both boys from the shades of very different natures; who made good (ish) in wildly different ways #also it's interesting reading this books from an adult perspective; my mind isn't blown that these books exist #anymore; plus I've read so many good books since #and they're not perfectly constructed novels! especially these early books; #there are plenty of spots where I can feel the narrative get thin; where there's more handwaving than I remember #but each book IS better and tighter; the jokes are funnier and the irony sharpens; the footnotes are better utilized #the characters are getting more interesting and complicated as opposed to set-ups for jokes. #it's an illustration of someone getting better at their chosen field and that in itself is more impressive than I was anticipating. #discworld

I find it incredibly funny seeing some fans complain that the movie wasn't "lore accurate" as if FNAF has ever been consistent with its lore, like

JP THEORISTS ARE ON ANOTHER LEVEL OMG-

The Dark Mirror’s Overblot markings always had me feeling suspicious because of the little horns, but the Diamond shapes are??? The exact same as Meleanor’s crown???? WHAT.

I JOKED BEFORE THAT MELEANOR’S SOUL WAS TRAPPED IN THE MIRROR ALL THE WAY BACK IN JULY AND THAT SHE WAS THE “FLOWER OF EVIL” CROWLEY WORSHIPPED BUT NOW I AM AFRAID.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend rewatching the opening prologue just for the way Crowley speaks. His voice literally shows off how much he revers his flower of evil. But notice how addresses his “flower of evil” who is the “fairest one of all,” AND the magic mirror. It’s like there’s two separate entities inside. And perhaps the hand in the prologue isn’t his, but it is Meleanor’s ungloved hand.

We never actually did see the moment of Meleanor’s death…it makes me wonder that if near/at the time of her death, someone else was there to capture her soul, or at least manipulate her magic somehow. The Dark Mirror definitely is just the spirit trapped inside the Magic Mirror from Snow White, so I wonder if the markings on his mask is a sign that someone else is trapped deeper inside the mirror…and only Crowley can call out to the second soul inside.

Although he can only see small reflections of her, she is still “alive” in the mirror, and the only way for Meleanor to have a “physical” form is through blot, just like Ortho’s soul in Book 6. It’s likely why Crowley knows so much about blot and has a very close connection with STYX in there first place- through the Watchmen, he learned how blot can create a vessel for a soul. And Crowley managed to find 7 souls that resemble the Great Seven so much, and their blot is so powerful. Ortho became a mass of the entire Underworld, but perhaps Crowley only needs 7 powerful souls with Phantoms of the Great 7. So perhaps Crowley isn’t trying to revive THE Great Seven, but he does need the Phantom’s sheer power for Meleanor to have a strong enough form.
