Rooney Bach from loveless is demiromantic allosexual!! (Headcanon I have) I don't like how the way her storyline was written basically made out casual sex to be inherently 'unhealthy' and romance to be inherently 'healthy'(along w other issues the book has. I mean come on Im aplatonic and alloaro I don't like the platonormativity and don't feel represented by the aro*ace* centrism in this book!).

But seeing as how she seems to experience sexual attraction and engages in sexual actions, but doesn't really seem to want to engage in romance or feel any romantic attraction at the beginning, then ends up romantically attracted to Pip Quintana after knowing her for a bit, I would like to headcanon her as demiromantic allosexual (pansexual as thats her orientation in canon!).

I want to go to a gay bar

However I do not want to go to a gay bar because I do not, nor will I ever, drink alcohol. I do not particularly want to be around drunks.

So instead of a gay bar, I propose a Queer Cat Cafe.

Non allergenic cats ofc

There's a section of the cafe where the cats can't go if you don't want cats near you. That section is the library.

There are lil pride flags everywhere, even the obscure ones.

They sell pride pins for £1.50ish each at the counter.

There are LED lights.

It's autism friendly, lights can be toned down if needed and everything is neatly spaced out

You can have a sticker to write your pronouns on

is bullying, abusing and chasing aromantic and asexual people out of the community actually helping anyone? is it helping trans people get binders or breastforms, or find surgeons, or connect with other trans people? is it helping mspec people figure out that being attracted to multiple genders is normal and okay? is it helping lesbians and gays find each other? is it helping intersex people learn more about their conditions?

it's not. it's not helping anyone else get the resources, support and help they need. all it's doing is denying a huge chunk of the community their right to have the same things we have and want. it's not helping a single soul. it's not making it easier for anyone else to get what they need by removing these groups of people, because as queers, we all have different needs. we are here to help each other. the point of community is to help.

if you refuse to help one or two specific types of members of your own community, you are prejudiced and you are the one being disruptive to the unity and functionality of the queer community. you are the one causing problems- not the aromantics, asexuals and other aspectrum people.

Friendly reminder to my LGBTQ+ friends: you don't have to perfectly fit the definition of a label to use it. For example: a woman who likes other women, but also sometimes likes men can still call herself a lesbian if she wants to, even if she would "technically" be bisexual. Someone who's asexual and demironantic can still call themself aroace if they want to. Someone who's gender floats between male and demiboy could call themself gender fluid, or male, or non-binary if they want to. You can still call yourself pan if you have a preference.

Labels should be what works for you, not a box you need to perfectly fit in
