I have so many emotions about the finale but I also have thoughts

~~~~~~~SPOILERS~~~~~~~

First off, AAAA HES SO BABYGIRL, but more importantly he implies he was with Eve, too

Now admittedly, what he "had to offer" could have just been free will and the fruit of knowledge, but given the sexual vibe here I really want to believe this man got busy with Eve as well

But that also raises the question..

...we know Lilith is Charlie's mother, but was Lilith really the one that raised her? In almost every mention of Lilith we see her horns, but not in those family photos (or her finale scene, come to think of it...)

Plus I mean we have this whole hair thing going on, Lilith is usually shown to have swooped back hair, like a lil pompadour deal, while Eve has straight unstyled hair. Idk about you but it sure looks like Lilith loved and cared about charlie, but somewhere in there Eve came in and started being Bad Mom

i think there's a lot to be uncovered there. Somehow, somewhere the girls must be pulling a twin-switcharoo on us, I Just KNOW IT

Then we have Adam

I feel like its almost guaranteed that fucker is gonna pop up in hell, hiding for awhile or otherwise, just like Sir Pentious popped up in heaven after dying. They're both human souls! He's committed pretty much every sin during his time in heaven (pride, lust, and wrath being the most prevalent) and if sinners can rise by doing well, angels can fall by doing bad

Then..well...Alastor.

Honestly homeboy is still quite a mystery. It's clear to me he's made a soul contract that binds his powers, somehow making him weaker than he could be. Whether this was with Lilith or someone else is up for debate, but most fans think it was Lil herself.

One piece of possible evidence for this is in E1 when Zestial mentions rumors of Alastor "falling to holy arms". He says this BEFORE any mention of Charlie, too.

Personally, I think Alastor might not even be a human soul, or that he's somehow made a deal with himself for better control of his soul, and maybe he fucked it up somehow or had another deal impact it, just because of what he said during the finale about sinner's recognizing their full potential. I look forward to seeing his story play out!

(Also I wonder if he has some sort of power bank deal cuz that cut healed suspiciously quick once he got to all that green light...maybe he's got an item that lets him access bits of his greater power? And repair that staff of his?)

So yeah that concludes my rant, Im so fucking excited for S2

EDIT: Someone pointed out that Sir Pentious wasnt killed by an angelic weapon, but by a power blast if sorts (plus we dont SEE him physically die). That makes me wonder if he might've simply ascended at the last moment rather than specifically dying and then respawning...if that's the case maybe Adam won't return..

Okay since i don't have any funny arts ready yet i would want to rant a little about whb.

First of all, I kinda found out that there is a visible pattern connecting the affiliation to the diffrent parts of Hell of the demons and their types of roles in the battle:

Gehenna- we have typical long range marksmen with Astaroth, Leraye, Paimon and Belial using rifles and Satan and Ppyong using some sort of bazookas(?) The only exception from this rule is Sitri with his Iron Maiden, but that is explained by him being away studying in Hades (correct me if im wrong)

Hades - we have our beloved coffin summoners here as medium range marksmen. Leviathan,Barbietoes, Glasya, Foras and Orias are all coffin users and summoning beasts seeems to be unique to the demons of Hades( God I have to read the orias event bc i forgor to)

Tartaros - Classic defense characters aka tanks. Lower power more health,shielding,becoming invincible for a while, some characters have stalling if i remember??? Every characters design here mostly follows these rules, even though the have diffrent weapons yknow Bimet has the skulls, Valefor a sword and shield, Mammon has the pillars and hands, and eligos has uhmmmmmm

Avisos- well here it starts to get interesting. I belive that the demons here are close-ranged attackers? Amon, Nabe and Stolas have their little weapon arsenals and Bael and Bell have their whips However some characters have a really big range for close range attackers ( bloodshed bell) so im not entirely sure about that

Abaddon- Phenix, Dantalian and Ronovè are all close range attackers, but their main role in game is supporting/buffing other characters (ronove/phenix combo carried me through most of main story). I guess we can assume that Asmodeus (bro i cant wait for him in game im gonna become his biggest simp) will have a simmilar role as a buffer/support.What if prettybusy makes him like the equivalence of Bennett from Genshin??

Nilfheim- the most problematic when it came to assigning the certain role until i looked up the characters. Both Gusion and Andrealphus can stun the enemies with their attacks, while Bathin can decrease the speed of enemies.That makes the Nilfheim crew being debuffers,stunners (if I remember mammon can also stun the enemies with his ult?? But he seems to be the only non-nilfheim character to do that)

Paradise Lost- healers my beloved... Buer, Morax and Marbas are all healers so Lucifer will most likely be one too. Gamigin also can revive a character, which is absolutely great when you try to keep your lower levelled characters alive. Really solid characters, i love using them in battle.

I really like that PB made each role in battle unique to residents of specific countries of Hell

The house of lamentation was quiet. No sound was evident inside the house. No talking loudly, no things getting destroyed every second, no chaos.

There was no chaos.

Because the demons that lives in this house are in their rooms, drowning with their tears.

But except for one.

Except for the very demon that made this happen.

Except for lucifer.

The avatar of pride— the eldest of the seven six demon brothers. The demon with such beauty. The once angel that was gods favourite. The lucifer who was mammon's older brother.

...

Lucifer was laying on his bed, on his demon form. Wings spread out in the mattress. His arm was covering his eyes, as the other hand stayed limp beside him.

"I do not...have the rights to cry." Lucifer mumbled, his words shaky as he tried his best to blink away his tears. He turned to his side, still covering his face the best he could.

He never once thought he would kill another sibling.

That he would make one of his siblings suffer all alone again, painfully enduring it all when it was lucifers fault.

He never thought...that it was mammon he was going to lose.

Lucifers breath hitched, as he remembered what diavolo told to all of them. He remembered how his brothers widen their eyes in disbelief, and turned to him. Wishing it was all a joke.

He remembered it so clearly, the lifeless body of mammon. Laying in the mattress, covered with a blanket. He remembered the way his blood went cold, after seeing mammon.

He remembered it all.

And most of all, he remembered barbatos words.

"Mammon died due to extreme internal and external injuries. Even if we came a little sooner, he wouldn't make it." Barbatos spoke with sadness, telling lucifer and his brothers the horrific news. "We...found some of his body parts scattered around the cell. And..." Barbatos hesitated with his words. "We found multiple curse seals inside his body."

Lucifer wants to scream when he heard all of that. He wanted to destroy everything around him when he heard the horror mammon went through.

"I was at fault..."

Lucifer couldnt stop his tears anymore.

They flowed down his cheeks uncontrollably, as his head throbbed painfully.

"Im sorry, im sorry..." He sobbed, not caring about his pride. "My baby brother, my poor brother..."

If he weren't such a fool, mammon would still be here.

If he just let the incident slide, mammon would still be here.

"You stole again from the demon lords castle?!" Lucifer yelled at his brother who was shaking in the corner, with fearful eyes and tears. "When will you learn?!"

Silence engulfed the room, as his words from before echoed in his ears.

"Maybe if i sent you to a place where you will be severely punished, you will be disciplined."

"I was wrong! I was wrong, mammon-!"

Lucifer choked out the words, screaming and thrashing in his bed.

He felt his heart broke into a million pieces, thinking of just how much mammon hates him. The brother he promised to protect, the very first brother he had, he was gone.

Gone and he will never come back.

"Lucifer! Lucifer i was wrong about stealing! Please, dont sent me there—" Mammon pleaded to his brother, crying on his knees as he tried to convince lucifer not to send him in 'that' place. "Please...Im scared."

If he had known much- if he had thought about it carefully, it wouldnt be like this.

If only he chose to punish mammon the same way and not like this, if only he payed more attention to him and loved him openly- none of this would've happened.

He doesn't deserve mammon.

He could never deserve that sweet and loving brother.

If only he could go back in time...

➳ lucifer can’t believe his eyes. how could he have been so careless? so clumsy? so thoughtless? the incredibly important papers diavolo had had him fill out, entrusting them in his care, were now messed up, thanks to him! and diavolo was due in literally two minutes! as lucifer watches, water drips off the edge of his desk, leading back to a pool of water, the papers soggy in the midst of it. what should he do?

“hey,” you say, walking into the room. “diavolo’s on his way up.” you freeze noticing the mess. “oh my god, what happened?”

lucifer can’t even get his mouth to move. your gaze hardens as you hear footsteps on the marble, advancing to the study. as the door swings open, lucifer jerks, but you step in front of him, patting his shoulder subtly as you do so. what are you planning?

“i am so sorry,” you begin, swallowing. if lucifer hadn’t been the one to cause the mess he would have thought you were sincere. “i just was in a rush to get up here and i knocked his water glass over.”

diavolo frowns as he examines the scene. “oh no, those papers were super important!”

“i know,” you say. “and again, i am so sorry. what can i do to make up for it? i ruined all of your and lucifer’s hard work…”

lucifer zones out as diavolo troubleshoots, body filling with warmth. normally, he wouldn’t let someone cover for him, but you did it instantly, no questions asked. even though you were in a much more vulnerable place than him and were at risk to suffer more because of it. he doesn’t know how to feel, except touched. he hadn’t known you for long at all, and yet here you were, protecting him, even though he was never the one who needed to be protected.

➳ mammon hisses as he examines the shattered glass on the floor, the remnants of an antique vase that was no doubt a priceless heirloom. he had been joking around and accidentally broke it, the glass slipping from his fingers and crashing into the ground loudly.

so loud, in fact, that he can hear several pairs of feet heading towards him.

surprisingly, you arrive first.

“lucifer’s gonna kill me,” mammon bemoans, biting his lip. he had gotten in trouble earlier, meaning his older brother was already not happy with him.

“i’ve got it,” you say quickly, and before mammon can object or question you, you’re already kneeling, sweeping up the shards with your hands, which is like, so stupid.

“mc!” lucifer says, appearing in the doorway. “you’re going to hurt yourself! stop it!”

“i’m sorry!” you exclaim, eyes wide. “i just knocked into this and panicked! it wasn’t important, was it?” you raise your hands, which are thankfully uninjured.

“no,” lucifer lies, and mammon gawks. it was too important! “not terribly so. let’s get this cleaned up. safely.” while mammon is feeling the teensiest bit offended by the difference in treatment, he can’t help but be grateful to you. he was already in hot water and you saved him without even thinking about it, as if protecting mammon was worth getting in trouble.

he didn’t think anyone had ever through that, so for you to was truly something special.

➳ diavolo knows he should be getting up and going, but he’s finally cuddling with you, for the first time in what seemed like forever. you both had been so busy that it seemed there hadn’t been a good time to meet up.

“we really should get up,” you say, but diavolo shakes his head.

“but you have important stuff to do,” you argue. diavolo just tightens his hold on you. he does have a few meetings and stuff, but for once, can’t the prince stuff wait?

“don’t care,” he mutters. “let’s stay a little longer.”

you put up a fight a few minutes more, but diavolo is stubborn, and wants more time with you. eventually, before either of you give up, there’s a knock on the door, and barbatos is opening it without preamble.

“lord,” he says, and oh, he is not impressed. “you were supposed to be up a while ago.”

diavolo flinches slightly, readying his reply, but you speak before he can.

“i’m sorry,” you say sheepishly, adding a nervous giggle on to the end of your words. “he kept trying to get up, but i really wanted to stay in bed. it’s my fault.”

“is it, now?” barbatos asks, raising an eyebrow, but you just nod.

“yeah. he kept telling me he needed to get ready but i didn’t want to let him go.”

“hmm,” barbatos says, his soft spot for you apparent. “well, in the future, let’s try to remember he had duties to attend to.”

“yessir," you say jokingly, and barbatos gives a little half-smile, closing the door behind him when he leaves. diavolo hasn’t really been in many situations when he would have been in trouble, so he’s never really expected anyone to lie for him. but you did, and so readily! you truly did care about him, didn’t you?

Oh my god… Well—

First off, he absolutely caught me off guard when he offered a pact the second time because what the fuck was that that oath? None of the others ever said anything like that and I had to put my phone down. And when Lucifer was teasing him as he was slowly getting flustered I was like oh… OH! Then later on, after MC and Beel come back and everyone was mad at them for having wanted to help Belphie get free as a motive behind them wanting a pact, Satan was the only one who wasn’t mad, and even encouraged them to go ahead and help Lucifer.

And then his confession!! Oh my god. To be the one being he’s known throughout his entire existence to have quelled the rage within him!! To finally help him feel what love is!!

And even before all those, there’s little moments that made me go ‘Oh?’ Throughout the story

- When he freely offers advice (and a bit of foreshadowing) that MC should go to Simeon for TSL help to prepare for the quiz against Levi

- At the very end of the scene during the retreat where Asmo pulls MC into Helene’s portrait, he seems so upset

- He himself seems rather disappointed that Lucifer stole MC away when during the dance part of the retreat

- That part of the Dogi Magi arc where he’s trying to get his intimacy level with MC up. This post explains my feelings about it (and some of the other stuff I mentioned here) better + that headcanon of theirs of him having a crush or at least a strong interest/curiosity about MC right away has me all shdjfkhd

- Something about his reaction in Ch 16 where he doesn’t completely quite celebrate that MC is Lilith’s descendant. He said that his happiness stems from him being born from Lucifer’s emotions and that made me go ‘huh…’ and had me thinking a LOT about how complex his feelings must actually be about Lilith an the fact that everyone’s so joyful about MC’s relation to her.

- His tutoring arc in S2 where you kind of… Have fun at the end each time ;) But also he’s so in his element that it’s not hard to be like oh my god… please../ You are so smart I love you and your brain

- Skipping right ahead to S3 but anytime he’s NOT talking about cats and instead has a moment to move his arc with dealing with his relationship with Lucifer

- Ch 50 hard mode where he doesn’t join his brothers outside because he doesn’t understand it when they talk about things he doesn’t understand… Heavily implying that they’re talking about their days in the Celestial Realm which he never was a part of

- Almost the entirety of Ch 51 and 52 honestly

- And ofc him facing his fears when they had to fight the boogeyman :((

But of course, the meat of what’s made me go ‘oh, my beloved!!’ about him are all in the Devilgrams and chats.

Let’s not forget that he’s very quickly one the first one to invite you out to go somewhere with him, just the two of you. I’m pretty sure his first 5 chats are all him asking MC on friendly/romantic dates however you wanna see it, then it slowly turns more comfortable and domestic with him trying to get them into a drama he likes and inviting them to watch with him.

(Granted, there seems to be an unlockable chat between him and Levi that implies he’s been using Seductive Speechcraft on them, but in the end it backfires and he falls in love plus I actually really enjoy that layer to him??)

Basically almost all his chats are like… *swoons* in some way either that or I’m just a fucking simp sdgsjhdfghj

- There’s that chat where he asks MC to come with him to the bookstore and then later he says it’s actually a date and asks if they’ll still go if it’s a date

- Him taking them out to dinner after confessing that he won the lottery

- Literally any time he asks MC to the art gallery I want to cry

- That time he gives them a book of spell so that MC can learn to defend themselves since he can’t be around them all the time, despite how much he wants to

- Each fucking time he signs off with that flying kiss sticker askdjgsdkjfghkdfg

This is an unlockable chat from his Ch A SSR ‘Be You,’ and honestly it felt so domestic like sdkhsdfkjgh And it’s a surprisingly long chat, I’ve just taken the beginning and the end here

Then for the Devilgrams—

- Indoor Camping where he and MC just chill in a tent inside Serenity Manor? Also it opened my mind up to how he’s just game to try anything out to see the appeal or if he’ll like it (also they go makeout while inside like hgghnghgng)

- A Teasing Gesture when literally… He basically stripteases and even asks what they want him to do… And tries to be hot and sexy, even pinning them to the bed (with their consent duh) and then he just… Falls asleep because he’s so tired from a long day ;w;

- His Seven Rules of Hell card where I honest to god get the feeling that he got himself and MC trapped in a closed bookstore on purpose for the chance to be alone with them and a bunch of books. This is less of a ‘mmmmm Satan, my beloved’ and more of a ‘Oh! Satan, my beloved, you are so fucking sneaky!’ And idk why but him going to that extent is so hsdghkdsfjg

- And in a similar vein, there’s Caves Require Caution where not only do we get confirmation that he works out and has abs, but he also fucking pulls a sneaky sneaky on MC and has the two of them stuck inside a cave for hours, just huddled up together??? And there’s something about it that kept making me think like… Are they going to do it in a cave??

- The Mysterious Box, which iirc was last year’s bday UR… The ending… Where all he wanted for his birthday was MC… And then depending on how you respond, its implied you get spicy………..

- And a more fun one, there’s I’ll Protect You where you get to see his strategic and intelligent side!! Idk it’s not really romantic (though they do kiss at some point) but it was such good fun to me?

- For You… Where it really shows that he knows jack about love and Valentines but he’s really trying :(((((

- A New Year’s Toast too where he takes MC out and gets an acquaintance who owns a restaurant to have a special menu for them so that they can celebrate New Year’s Eve together after the other brothers fucking brush them off for wanting to celebrate >:( Satan goes the extra mile for them here for their joy

- Also Romance For You??? Where he steps soooo far out of his comfort zone (and bonds with Levi which is nice <3) to learn how to cheer MC on with a light stick dance in a club

- Something To Tell You also has him and MC getting lost like 30ft away from the HoL and man something about it made me go awww… and Oh?? Because he’s willing to fool around in a forest agsjsha okay my guy

- Of course I can’t not mention Search for The Self where he opens up about his insecurities about his inferiority complex and identity crisis :((

- Same goes for Be You… Except we also get to see him go apeshit just a bit and my simping heart went :0 I love him

- AND THIS YEAR’S BDAY DEVILGRAM HELLO??? Saving the best for last because even thinking about it has me going nuts??? He has my whole fucking heart

♡ just a kinda quick thing i wrote on a whim, idk man jdfkdjf i might do another with the next half of the brothers but this is all my creativity could pump out today, idk if i like it too much, but hey, writing is the only way to get better so have these crumbs

fic details: headcanons, 1.4k words, slight angst, fluff, sfw v pure, possibly ooc lucifer?? idk man i don’t know his character that well but for some reason i wanted to write him, gender-neutral reader

lucifer

↠most of the time, i don’t think that he’d keep his pining a secret. he’s a proud demon (avatar of pride, no shit) and he wouldn’t try to hide his feelings too much

↠of course, there’d occasionally be some form of denial, but he is quite the sadist so he’d probably enjoy knowing that you know of his feelings

↠with that being said, if he was secretly pining, something would have had to make him feel like that was the only option. maybe someone would try to harm you to get something from him (don’t forget he’s a ruler of hell), or diavolo forbade it somehow (unlikely, because diavolo is a lil shit and he’d enjoy seeing that unfold)

↠he’s not great at keeping it a secret, just because of his nature, but if he knew that he was forced to do so, he would take that shit to the grave.

↠and by “because of his nature”, i mean that he’s not really secretive; he makes his intentions completely clear with his actions imo. he can keep a secret if it’s necessary, but otherwise, he’s not making much of an effort to hide things. if a secret comes out, it’s out

↠since you’re living in his house, there’s really no way to avoid you, so he interacts with you like a normal person would. maybe some “accidental” slips-of-the-tongue, praising you more than most would consider platonic, but not much else

↠but when you’re not looking, lucifer will look up from his paper work and admire you

↠he tends to defend you when one of his brothers says something even a little teasing, even though you constantly say you don’t need it

↠you likely have a sneaking suspicion that he feels something for you, but honestly he never does anything to confirm it, so nothing ever comes of your hunch

↠sometimes, luci will imagine a life where he was allowed to love you without having to worry about what others would do or say. he never really has his head in the clouds, but when his mind is otherwise unoccupied, he finds himself in a fictional world where you come to comfort him when he’s down, where you hold his hand and smile up at him, where you kiss him on the cheek and hug him just because you love him too

↠but of course, this is all fake

↠and lucifer will have to live a life silently watching you fall for another, just outside his grasp

↠he,,,,, he’s a dumbass. straight up- he’s an idiot. which, don’t get me wrong, is adorable and charming sometimes, but also can be kinda annoying.

↠mammon thinks he’s being super sneaky about his feelings, but god, he’s obvious. i mean he blushes as soon as he sees you, doesn’t matter if you’re talking to him or not. he stumbles over his words and makes excuses to follow you around, claiming it’s because you can’t handle yourself, but everyone knows that he loves you- including, probably, you

↠i’m sorry but you’d have to be so oblivious to not notice his obvious pining-

↠his brothers are so annoyed at his behavior,, like every time mammon makes an excuse to be near you, they just groan and roll their eyes because come on

↠nothing prompts mammon to keep his feelings a secret, he’s just scared that he’ll lose you as a friend if he says anything. though, you do know, so it’s only a matter of time before you confront him about it, at which point, he will vehemently deny everything.

↠mammon’s a walking cliche, the living embodiment of the word uwu, who middle school boys would call a simp just because he’s nice. he melts any time you’re talking, even if what you’re saying isn’t something sweet. you bet he’s stayed up at night, thinking about you, wondering what being in a relationship with you would be like

↠would you be lovingly teasing? how affectionate are you with a boyfriend? would you play with his hair, let him fall asleep with his head in your lap, and hold him? what would your dates be like? do you like staying in, or would you rather go out? whatever you prefer, he’s alright with it, as long as he’s with you.

↠he doesn’t get much sleep on those nights....

↠it gets really bad, to the point where the people around mammon are practically begging him to confess. not for his sake or yours, but because he’s so,, obnoxious,,, he can’t talk about anything but you when you’re not around, he somehow manages to relate everything back to you in a beautiful way.

↠i think that he would refuse to say anything, though. he’s just really nervous, so you’d have to make the first move. he probably wouldn’t believe, at first, that you’re serious, thinking that it’s a prank rather than an actual confession.

↠once you assure him that everything is fine and that you do feel the same way, he gloats like a mf and does not stop for ages dlfkdl he’s precious, just let him be happy-

leviathan

↠he will ONLY keep his love a secret and i mean only

↠ this mf will never reveal his crush on you because he is so,, anxious,, about everything. he’s very similar to mammon in that regard- he loves you so much, but if he confessed, what was he risking? you could be disgusted by him and stop talking to him altogether? you’re the only person who understands him, he can’t lose you

↠he has himself convinced that confessing to you is not worth the risk of you hating him, which is so sad c’mon man :((

↠with that being said, he won’t confess to you, there’s no chance of it. he manages to function semi-normally around you once he realizes his feelings, though if you get within a few inches of him, he’ll absolutely freak and run off, because he’s worried that he’ll get too flustered and you’ll catch on

↠he’s sure that you’d never like him back, but this doesn’t stop him from indulging in silly things that make his heart swell with love when he thinks of you, ex: playing games and using your name as the main love interest’s, sending you platonic love memes (you send some back, his heart stops), or writing letters to you spilling all of his feelings that he’ll never have the guts to send

↠he’s the kind to stare at you in class, get flustered when anyone teases him about his crush, and writes your name in cursive on all his school papers. his teachers are,,, confused,, to say the least

↠whenever you look at him and make accidental eye contact, his eyes dart away; he compares you to his favorite anime characters, and he’s even said that you’re more important to him than Ruri-chan on multiple occasions without being tsundere about it.

↠levi might not want to confess to you, but that won’t stop him from trying to get you to fall for him. he gets pointers from asmo (an embarrassing experience, for sure) about things you like, he makes attempts to help you out without having to be asked, and tries to change his introverted behavior by offering to take you places for the day

↠being around you so much makes him anxious, he’s worried that he’ll slip up and reveal something you might not like, but he loves you too much to let you be around his idiotic brothers for longer than you have to be. if you spent too much time around mammon, well, levi’s not sure if he’d like you if you adopted his brother’s personality

↠you, once again, would need to make the first move. when you do, he deflects hard, almost trying to convince you that you could do better.

↠he’s so insecure that he thinks that everyone else is a better option for you. everyone else is cooler, smarter, more confident. he’s just a geeky otaku with no social skills, why would you like him? you might need to do something drastic in order to convince him that, yes, you do like him, and yes, you are 100% sure that you’re not just ‘confused’

↠after that conversation, levi’s mildly panicked, too flustered to do anything right away, so you’ll have to wait til he calms down to talk to him any more.

(although, bonus, while he’s cooling down, he buries his nose in your side, hiding his face, and it’s quite adorable.)

With 7 demons and 7 “humans” living under the same roof its interesting... (this is either what they do or just random headcannons)

Lucifer has to worry about 7 “humans” not to mention this man is just so done with his life some days

out of all the “humans” Taiga is the most responsible one
