Kageyama had known ever since Middle School that Oikawa was leagues above him in every sense.
He was a better volleyball player, and a better team player as well. He could work with people he didn’t like without letting it hinder the team play. He could set to anyone perfectly and make it seem effortless. His serves were miles above Kageyama’s in terms of power and control too. But none of that had ever upset Kageyama for too long. It was a motivator. Surpassing Oikawa had become his goal. And so he took Oikawa more as a teacher than as a rival.
Years later, it seemed Kageyama was still learning from his senpai, though now it was in fields other than volleyball.
“Pay attention, Tobio-chan.” Oikawa’s voice was as smooth and buttery as ever. “Don’t let your focus stray. I won’t help you over and over, y’know? My time is precious, after all.”
His words and tone were dismissive, but his actions stated otherwise. His posture was alert and present as he curled his torso over your back, one strong arm wrapped around your waist to hold you in place where you sat in his lap, caged by his legs, back to him. And his fingers were eager as they glided through the wetness between your legs, almost teasing as his fingertips tapped playfully at your clit, making you jump. Kageyama watched with interest at how you reacted to Oikawa’s touches, how any little brush on his hand would send your eyes rolling in your head or your mouth dropping open.
When Kageyama had mentioned over a regular dinner at your shared apartment that Oikawa would be coming over to show him how to properly have sex with you, you had choked on your bite and spent the next ten minutes wheezing and dry heaving over the sink while he patted your back, confused by how outrageous your reaction was. You had screamed at him in panic, asking him what the fuck was wrong with him, and had to sit him down and explain to him that this was not the way to improve your sex life.
“But Oikawa-san is better at it than me!” He had countered. “He always had a girlfriend in high school. And even now. He’s surrounded by girls-”
“Those are fangirls, Tobio!” You shrieked. “He’s not sleeping with all of them!”
“Regardless, I know he can help. He turned my life around with the advice he gave me in high school. I wouldn’t be the player I am without it.”
It had taken some convincing, and a few days of thinking on your part, but you had finally agreed after asking him a million times if he was sure he was okay with this. Kageyama was adamant he was, and he still stood by it. Watching this here, now, a small thrill ran down his torso and settled as a knot in his lower stomach. Made his dick twitch.
You whined when Oikawa put just the tip of his middle finger into your hole, swirling it a bit teasingly before pulling out again. Your legs were shaking with the effort of keeping them open, making sure Kageyama got a good view of what was happening between them. It was an order Oikawa had given you at the very start (‘Don’t you let those legs close, Y/N-chan. How can Tobio-chan learn when he can’t see what he’s supposed to be doing?’), and Kageyama marveled at the fact that you had yet to disobey him, no matter how hard it may seem for you to comply. You had submitted to Oikawa, in a way you had never submitted to him.
Kageyama didn’t take offense to it. As with volleyball, he shouldered responsibility for your reactions. If you were reacting this way to his senior but not him, he was obviously doing something wrong. And here he was, seated before you, watching your naked figure lean back on Oikawa, covered in a thin layer of sweat, eyes glistening with unshed tears as Oikawa teased you relentlessly, playing your body as if it were a string instrument. Kageyama licked his lips as he watched your juice wet his senpai’s fingers, wetter than he had ever seen you.
Your legs twitched and tensed when Oikawa finally slid a finger into your heat, a relieved sigh escaping you, hips pushing down on his hand insistently. Kageyama’s sharp eyes tracked every movement, comparing it to how you were with him, noting every difference and feeling amazed by the results.
“Oikawa-san,” you breathed, your tone pleading. “Please, more.”
You sounded so greedy. Kageyama’s dick gave a painful throb.
Oikawa hummed as if in thought. He had a sharp little smirk playing on his face, eyes moving from your heaving chest up to meet Kageyama’s, making him sit up a bit.
“What do you think, Tobio-chan? Should I give her more?”
Kageyama gulped. “Yes?”
Oikawa tutted. “Wrong answer.”
You let out a little sob at his words, one hand reaching to circle around Oikawa’s wrist. Oikawa made a warning sound.
“Hands off, princess. You know the rules.”
Your hands immediately shot away, twisting in the bedsheets under you instead. Your breaths were heavy, broken moans leaving your lips as Oikawa’s one finger worked inside you. Kageyama watched on with intrigue. One finger and you were already a mess. It usually took Kageyama much more. You had also obeyed Oikawa with little to no resistance when he had told you to keep your hands off him.
So much information. So much he could work with in the future.
Oikawa was watching him with sharp eyes, smirking as if he knew exactly what had clicked inside Kageyama. His arm around your waist tightened.
“It seems our little genius has made a mental breakthrough, Y/N-chan.” He drawled. “Which means you get to have a reward.”
You gasped when Oikawa sank another finger into your cunt and immediately started pumping them into you at a fast pace. Your back arched, legs separating more as if inviting him further in, eyes screwing shut as you cried through it. Kageyama watched with wide eyes, not blinking, not wanting to miss even a single thing. His breath seemed to be suspended in his throat, his mouth dry, dick so hard and throbbing it nearly made him black out, and when you screamed through your orgasm, gushing over his senpai’s fingers and shaking in his tight hold, Kageyama felt like one single touch on his own cock would make him cum on the spot too.
Your legs trembled and shook as you slumped back on Oikawa’s body, sighing in bliss as he cooed over you, careful hands running over your bare inner thighs as if to calm you down. Oikawa held up one finger, grinning over to where Kageyama sat, looking so wrecked it looked like he was the one doing all the work.
“That was lesson one. Let’s move on to the next one, shall we?”

“(L.Name)-San…?”
Hinata asked as he watched (Name) flinch from his hiding spot.
“Were you watching us from the window…?”
“No.”
“Then why are you by the window?”
“…..” (Name) giggled and put on a forced grin as he tried to think of an excuse. He wasn’t in the Volleyball club. Or any sports club for that matter so he wasn’t supposed to be here. He was in the cooking club and he should’ve been there right now but he wanted to visit Sugawara.
Mainly because they were dating but the others didn’t know that.
“(L.Name)-San?”
“I wanted… uh, I wanted to… Hm—uh, awkward…”
“Huh?”
“I wanted to see Daichi. Obviously.”
“You guys are friends?”
(Name) nodded stiffly. Yeah, he shouldn’t just texted Sugawara to make sure he was at the gym already. But it seemed that it didn’t bother Hinata as a smile appeared on his lips.
“Oh cool! Sorry but we’re practicing for a mock game we’re doing with Nekoma this weekend. He’s busy right now but I’ll tell him you came to visit.”
“Mock game? Is it going to be here?”
“Yeah! You should come! I’m sure the others won’t mind. Besides,” Hinata puffed out his chest as he smirked confidently, “you’ll get to see my brand new move with Kageyama. We’ll win, obviously.”
(Name) laughed. “Ah, okay. I’ll come. See you.”
“Bye!”
Once Hinata went back inside the gym, a laugh startled (Name) he quickly turned around to see Sugawara behind him.
“Suga!”
“What the hell was that? Your acting sucks.” He said, holding a bag of snacks in his hand. (Name) sighed to himself. Of course, as vice captain, he’d be the one to get the others snacks while they still practiced.
“Shut it.” (Name) muttered, a frown on his face.
“You didn’t think to text me?”
“You might’ve been busy…. But I also wanted to surprise you.”
Sugawara smirked as he moved in closer to (Name), causing him to back up into the wall behind him. The window to the gym was right beside him, wide open. If anyone as so much as looked out for a quick second, they’d see (Name) and Sugawara awfully close together.
“Cute, what did you want to surprise me with?” Sugawara glanced over (Name)’s body before a devious grin formed on his lips. “Kisses? Hugs?…your body?”
“Pervert!”
Sugawara simply laughed before pulling away. “So are you going to come to the mock game? You get to see the new freshmen in action.”
“Do they mainly play now?”
“Mostly yeah. I still play sometimes.” Sugawara shrugged. “You don’t have to come though if you don’t want to. I am mainly benched for the most part.”
“That’s fine. I can watch you look pretty.” (Name) grinned.
“Hm, I’ll be sure to look my best.” Sugawara glanced around before pulling (Name) in for a quick kiss. The two pulled away with childish grins before (Name) left to go to his club meeting.
By the time (Name) came to the game, it was on the last set. Nekoma was winning but it didn’t seem like Karasuno was angry about it. Much to (Name)’s surprise, they looked determined to go out with as much flare as possible.
(Name) stayed in the shadows, not wanting anyone to notice him. Kiyoko had noticed him but didn’t say anything. She had an idea of what his relationship with one of the players could be but she just wasn’t sure who.
It was a break as the players huddled over to speak on about any new strategy they had to possibly win. (Name) couldn’t hear much of what they were saying but he could see that Sugawara was excited for some reason.
Once they got back into game, instead of Yamaguchi, Sugawara went in to set. (Name) felt himself beam with pride on seeing his boyfriend set for such an important moment. He couldn’t see what expression Sugawara was making but he hoped it was of confidence.
He watched in awe as Sugawara started the game off with a strong set, catching one of the players off guard. It was almost win had that tall lanky dude didn’t catch it in time. The rest of the game was intense with neither making any score for almost the entirety of it.
But in the end, Nekoma won. The two teams hugged it out as they began to take down the nets. (Name) quickly left the spot he was hiding in and waited outside near Suga’s bike with a grin on his face.
He couldn’t lie. It was a bit… hot? Maybe it was just seeing his boyfriend in his element or the sight of him being so strong. He subtly pulled at his pants and coughed to himself, trying to think about something to stop his boner.
“Hey! I thought you didn’t come,” Sugawara grinned at the sight of (Name) as he walked over to him.
“And miss your big game?”
Sugawara rolled his eyes as he wiped at the sweat on his forehead. “Let’s leave. I wanna shower.”
“You didn’t shower?”
“Why do you think I’m still in my uniform?” He said, vaguely showing off his sweaty volleyball uniform. (Name) nodded and followed Sugawara as he began to walk to his house. It was silent for the most part, being as Suga kept complaining about feeling too tired to walk.
(Name) only hummed before smirking to himself. “Y’know… you looked pretty sexy when playing. Got a boner.” He said, before walking ahead of a flabbergasted Suga.
“Huh?! Sexy?! You got horny from that?”
“Yeah. When we get home,” (Name) looked back and vaguely gestured a hand job. “Suck you off as a reward, yeah?”
Well, no way in hell could he say no to that!
“Still, I don’t understand how it was sexy to you.” Suga muttered, tangling his fingers in (Name)’s hair, enjoying the sight of him on his knees. (Name) simply hummed, unable to speak with a mouth filled with Suga’s cock.
“I wonder, do you get horny from volleyball in general? Or was it the players?” He gripped (Name)’s hair tightly and pulled him off his cock, enjoying the whimper that left his boyfriend’s mouth.
(Name) pouted. “Only you.”
“Good. I wouldn’t allow you to see anymore games if that wasn’t the case,” Suga grinned.
He had some weird tendencies to act a bit possessive in strange ways but (Name) didn’t really care. It was only adding onto his sexiness.
“Do I have to get you ready?”
“No…” (Name) pulled away from Sugawara and stood up, pulling down his pants and turning away to slightly bend his back. Sugawara leaned back a bit on his bed as he got a good look at (Name)’s ass.
As well as the butt plug inside.
“Oh, look at you… So scandalous,” he laughed. “It didn’t feel weird to walk around with this in there?” He reached over and gently tugged at the plug, enjoying the whimper it stole from (Name).
“A bit… but I, ah, got used to it..”
“Really?” Suga hummed. “Then you must’ve done this before.” He said, slowly dragging the plug out until to shove it back inside. (Name) moaned at the feeling, his knees trembling. He wasn’t sure if he could stay in this position for long.
Sugawara continued to use the plug as if it was his own cock, thrusting it in and out with an inconsistent flow. It was one of his little quirks on always keeping (Name) on his toes.
“Hey… can I use your first name?”
(Name) blinked, tears prickling his eyes from the constant pleasure he was receiving from the plug. “Yeah… Koshi.”
Koshi grinned. “My name sounds good on your lips. Ready to scream it?” He quickly pulled out the plug, earning a cry from (Name). Koshi maneuvered you to lay down on his bed with him on top, a cute grin on his lips.
It felt vastly different than what he was doing and saying to (Name) earlier but he simply smiled at him.
“Condom?”
“Not this time.” (Name) wrapped his arms around Koshi’s neck, pulling him down for a kiss. Koshi easily returned the kiss as his lined his cock up with (Name)’s hole. He was able to easily slide inside, due to the lube and butt plug that (Name) used earlier.
Koshi kept a light and steady pace, occasionally leaning down to bite at (Name)’s skin, earning soft whimpers from him. He bit across his chest before biting his nipple—testing out the reaction (Name) would give him.
(Name) shrieked in shock, staring down at his boyfriend. It was the first time he had ever done that and he wasn’t sure how he felt towards it.
Koshi simply hummed before sucking on it, occasionally biting to earn gasps from (Name). His thrusts began to pick up with speed.
This time honestly felt different than any other sex they had together. The feeling of (Name)’s warm walls directly on his cock without the barrier of a condom was something he could get addicted to.
He wasn’t sure if he could go back to it after today. But he’d worry about convincing (Name) another time.
Right now, he wanted to cum. (Name) himself was also enjoying the feeling. He continuously tightened around Koshi’s cock in random moments, enjoying the grunts he earned from that.
(Name) wrapped his legs around Koshi’s hips, effectively holding him closer to him. The two were close. Koshi felt himself gain a sudden burst of energy as he started to slam harshly inside of (Name) enjoying the squeaks he got from him.
The bed creaked underneath them as Koshi continued his harsh thrusts with his own release in mind. (Name) arched his back, enjoying the feeling as he could feel himself close.
“Out or in?” Koshi grunted, ready to cum.
(Name) only hummed. Too far gone to understand his boyfriend. Koshi simply took that as he could do whatever. And so he did. His last thrusts caused the bed to slam into the wall as he pushed in as deep as possible, earning a scream from (Name) as he came first.
Koshi was next, emptying inside of (Name)’s ass. When he pulled out, a slow trail of cum began to leak out. Koshi felt himself gulp at the sight. Yeah, no way in well was he going back to condoms.
“Enjoyed yourself?” Koshi asked.
“Hm. Tired.” Was all (Name) said before opening his arms for a hug. Koshi chuckled before laying down with him, cuddling him close.
A knock on his bedroom door shook the two as they paled in fear.
“Koshi…? Uh, we’re back from our trip… we have some food for you…. Uh,” Koshi’s mother paused. “And food for your boyfriend… we’re downstairs…”
Fuck.

hinata shouyou
Surprisingly, he didn't charge into the confession part without any preparations. Growing up with Natsu by his side, he had read an ungodly amount of fairy tales to her and he was insisting on making it a special moment for him, but especially to you, as well. He really wanted to share all the joy he was feeling whenever you two got to spend time together with you.
Soon enough he had made up his mind, after getting lots of advice from Suga and Yachi to keep him from jumping on whatever he could come up with first. Everyone could tell that something was up that day, though, because he rather kept to himself, was more lost in thought and he was even more fidgety than usual.
He pulled you aside when he was supposed to be at volleyball practice. To some degree it felt like he was about to hold an important presentation that he had rehearsed not at all and therefore, he averted his eyes from yours. Maybe he was considering running for the toilet shortly after he had spoken the first words.
“Are you ok-” - “WELL, ACTUALLY I WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT I REALLY REALLY LIKE YOU.”
His eyes were wide, his cheeks and ears were flushed and there was an insecure grin on his lips. He went on more calmly explaining exactly what he and Yachi had prepared in advance in case of him not knowing what he wanted to say. That included the fact that he had considered it for a long time but had come to the conclusion that you meant more to him than volleyball.
He was literally over the moon once he realized that you felt the same way about him - His head nearly collided with the ceiling when he jumped full force in absolute ecstasy as soon as the energy of happiness had hit him. Yachi, Suga and Kageyama were the first ones to know.
kageyama tobio
For the longest time he had zero intentions of telling you or making it public that he had somehow managed to develop romantic feelings for someone. There was volleyball, there were his studies, there was his career, way too many things on his plate for him to add another obstacle.
At some point he realized that being in a relationship didn't mean he would have more on his plate, but that he would have two more hands to help him carry the weight of it. Now, he wasn't on the stupid side, yet he had to resort to Google to find out how a confession is supposed to go as calling Oikawa was not an option.
He got flowers. He got chocolate. He even tried writing a letter. He bought a little teddy bear plushie. Thanks to all these preparations he was really confident in his plan, whether you were to say yes or no. There was no way you could say no considering these efforts. Right?
Granted, the challenging part was the talking. He tried to form coherent thoughts and sentences, but expressing emotions had never really been his forte and he was struggling quite a bit. At the end, he bowed to you in the very respectful and classic Japanese way, with his hand extended towards you.
There was a surprised spark in his eyes that immediately turned into the biggest grin when he looked up, only for it to turn into him scratching the back of his head and avoiding your glance. To be fair, he had no idea how to go from there. But he knew that he was extremely happy.
yamaguchi tadashi
To be fair, he had to fight his anxiety at first. He knew that you two were close, he knew that he wanted to be even closer to you and he knew that the worst thing that could happen was you saying no. But then there were these dark thoughts, painful remains from the trauma he had experienced when he had gotten bullied as a child, that told him that there was nothing about him someone as perfect as you could truly love.
Eventually, he asked his dad for advise on how to deal with a crush because at some point his dad must have had a crush on his mom and obviously he had been rather successful in that regard. He refused with a blush on his cheeks when his dad suggested to ask his mom as well. But she knew anyways once Tadashi snuck into the kitchen late at night to bake some cupcakes for you.
Baking simply helped him calm his nerves. And someone as sweet as you would definitely be happy about them, right? Maybe seeing your smile while eating the cupcakes would boost his confidence enough to say the mighty words he had locked inside his heart for quite some time.
At that point it had turned into an open secret that he had a crush on you. By the way his mood always brightened when you were talking to him and how easy it was to get his attention by saying as little as your name it wasn't too far-fetched to assume that he liked you.
Eventually, he kept it simple. During your little cupcake-eating-session he stumbled over his words here and there, but he suggested that the two of you could go out again. Once you had agreed, he added that he would like to call it a date. He took a huge bite of the cupcake in his hands to distract his anxiety - Sugar was a good way to keep his serotonin high.
At home he turned into a puddle on the couch in the living room and his parents assumed the worst until he could feel happy tears in his eyes and he reassured them that everything had gone just fine. Even though he nearly started crying from being so overwhelmingly glad he was beaming.
tsukishima kei
He sighed. A lot. Mostly at himself because he couldn't believe that a single human being was capable of distracting him from everything else in his life only by existing and interacting with him. It drove him beyond crazy that he had to admit at some point that he had two options: Confessing to put an end to this misery or moving across the country.
Lo and behold, he got absolutely nothing for you. He wasn't even sure what exactly he was trying to achieve by having this conversation with you because it made him rather uncomfortable having to talk about his most privat feelings.
“You might be wondering why I asked you to come here and it’s actually really stupid, so I don't want to waste our time any further. I’ve come to the realization that I have feelings for you, which is quite inconvenient to say the least. Not that you aren't a nice person, I seem to have taste, but I can't do the most mundane things anymore because you are always on my mind.”
He was about to turn around and leave before you eventually said that this was mutual. Again, he sighed. In an awkward way he asked whether you wanted to go and grab some coffee or lemonade at a cafe to talk about this. His back was straight, his posture stiff and dead silence was proof of his head trying to catch up with what had unraveled in front of him.
You had to pinky-promise that you would never say a word about the way he confessed, especially not when Kuroo was present. Or Kageyama. Or anyone for that matter. But that didn't last too long because Yamaguchi figured it out, then Yachi, then Kiyoko and well, it spread like wildfire.
When you were holding hands on your way back, he was looking anywhere but in your direction. He simply didn't know what to do. Yet, his hand was shaking slightly and that gave away his nervousness. A long sigh followed once he was home and no one was around to hear it.
ennoshita chikara
Until then, only like three people had known that he even had developed a crush on you. Was he close to Tanaka and Nishinoya? Yes. Was dealing with his own feelings a business they might get way too involved in, so he rather to Kiyoko about it? Also yes.
Internally, he was always somewhat panicking when you were around because he was worried that someone, or you for that matter, might notice how nervous he got around you and how happy it made him when you called his name. He felt invincible with you by his side and that made you so special. That’s why he wanted to make the confession special as well.
After literal days of planning how to properly ask you out, only his own nerves seemed to be in the way of him finding happiness with you. He chose a quiet place that radiate calmness, which helped him be a little less on the edge as he arrived with you. Casually chatting with you, he slowly guided the conversation to the topic of relationships ... he was testing the ice he was about to step on.
He was combing a hand through his hair every couple of seconds, trying to focus on actually paying attention to what you were saying instead of sorting the words he wanted to say. So, he kept starring at the tip of your adorable nose (he could keep ranting about it for hours).
“I know this is very sudden and I don't want to make it awkward between us. In the past months I’ve realized that while being friends with you is absolutely amazing and I’m very grateful for it, I want to ask you what you’d think about been more than ... friends. What you’d think about ... being a couple, you know?”
After you had confessed as well he excused himself to turn around for a second, slapping his own cheeks with his hands to make sure that he wasn't dreaming, so he faced you with double-flushed cheeks and asked you to repeat what you had just said: “Well, um, great, I guess, that means we are daaaaating?”
tanaka ryuunosuke
His friends thought that he would blurt out his feelings right in front of you in the heat of the moment at some point. But this boy had a plan. A plan he had created with his dearest sister, who he had confided it.
He went classic. And maybe a little overboard. Actually, as part of their research his sister had read online that 100 red roses symbolize “I’m fully devoted to you.”, which was a message he immediately felt deep inside his heart.
So, he was standing in front of you with this huge bouquet of flowers more or less effectively hidden behind his back. The confession itself went quickly. With his cheeks gave away his nervousness while he spoke his words in such a fast pace that it got nearly impossible to not admire his passion right then and there.
“I love you. I just love you so freaking much. I think of you first thing in the morning and last thing at night. When you text me, I drop everything I’m doing. I’m not very poetic. But I just really, very genuinely love you from the bottom of my heart.”
When you told him about your feelings for him, he nearly forgot to hand over the flowers. Well, he got a little embarrassed explaining the meaning of the 100 roses AFTER the confession part because he had somehow not mentioned it in his little speech earlier. But he was proud to call you his.
nishinoya yuu
To say the least, he was enthusiastic about confessing to you. He would finally get to tell his special person how special they actually were to him. Even days before the actual thing he couldn't stop grinning at you whenever he came into sight, which made it hard for others not to notice that something was up.
The only issue his friends were facing was that he came up with a new “super-duper-giganticly amazing idea” every day. They had to sit him down to have his mind focus on one plan at a time, eventually leading him to setting his mind on confessing to you after a volleyball match.
Cue to him jumping through the hallways of the gym to find you among the visitors. Considering that it was after five sets and nearly two hours of him being on the court he had way too much energy from the thought of soon enough being called your boyfriend alone. He was sweaty, he was thirsty, he was lightning.
“DID YOU SEE ME OUT THERE, I THINK I WAS GREAT AND YOU ARE PRETTY. SO WE ARE PRETTY GREAT!”
He might have skipped a few steps there. When he realized that himself he stopped mid-air and he ended up standing right in front of you, not knowing what to do like someone had cut of his energy supply. He was actually at a loss for words before he asked you if he could start anew with what he had wanted to say.
Now in his second attempts, he was much more flustered than before. It was slowly sinking in how much was on the line and all his flaws, like his academic skill, began to weigh on him. The celebration of you reciprocating his feelings followed suit with a hug. A very sweaty but very ecstatic hug.
azumane asahi
Everyone knew this was going to be torture for him. All the methods that Suga and Daichi tried to talk him through sounded worse than the one before and he actually ended up wondering if his crush on you couldn't simply subside without you having to know what feelings he had for you.
He decided to tell you and ask you out during one of your casual meet-ups because then he wouldn't have to worry about the location and the time - and seeming suspicious, which still left him a door open to escape in case of him chickening out last minute.
The two of you were resting on a bench at a local park, watching kids play at a playground when he gathered enough courage to let you look inside his heart. As not being in control over his words was one of his greatest fears he had prepared something like a little script that he pulled out of his pocket after picking up the conversation again.
As part of this short speech he admitted how making new friends wasn't something that came easy to him, but that talking to you on the day you met was one of the best choices he had ever made. He emphasized how you always made him feel safe, regardless of how nervous and scared he was when it came to some things.
Throughout the whole ‘ordeal’ he barely dared to look up even though he could feel yours eyes on him. But with his fingers shaking slightly and his throat going dry with every word he was afraid he would stumble. He sat up straight as a meerkat, eyes wide and mouth slightly ajar the moment you said it was mutual.
“I honestly can't believe I’m this lucky to have you in my life, (Y/N).”

He had a plan. Originally, it had been one of those super-staged romantic scenarios he had seen on tv, but he discarded all of those when his heart acted on this warm and fuzzy feeling erupting inside of him while the two of you had been on an outing one day. His head had zero seconds to intervene.
Even before he had made actual plans of confessing to you, he just knew that you were the one he wanted to date. You were the one whose hand he wanted to hold. You were the one he wanted to hold when you were sad and he wanted to be the one being held by you when he wasn't feeling like his usual upbeat self. Being around you and falling for you had come as natural as breathing to him.
Well, he more or less ended up blurting out his feelings when the conversation somehow reached the topic of dating and you said that you were in fact single but ready to mingle - And Suga’s mouth moved before he could think about anything he was about to say. His heart saw the opportunity and acted on it.
“This might sound absolutely weird, and of course you can say no, but considering that, how about our next outing will be a date? It’s just something I’ve been thinking about for a little while now. And it would be an honor to be the one going on a date with you.”
Once he realized what he had just done he was starring at you like a deer in headlights. But he very dramatically reached for his heart and exhaled a little heavier than usual following your agreement to his offer. From there, he planned it all, swearing to himself that later on he would ask you out properly and wouldn't let his heart take over like that again! A smiley boy for the rest of the day.
sawamura daichi
This man was an overthinker. It didn't matter how much time you two spent together and how much you radiated more-than-friends energy, he was always overthinking if all of this was just his own head-over-heels-for-you conception of the situation. He needed a push from his friends.
In the end, his confession was really short but sweet because he wanted to get it over with and didn't want to burden you further in case of you not reciprocating his feelings. You could tell how much he was trying to not cringe at himself while saying the most important words.
“Actually, I think I have known for quite a while now. Spending time with you is my favorite thing to do and I’m genuinely the happiest person on earth when you smile. So, I was wondering, if you wanted to be more than friends, too. Because I would be delighted to.”
He might have rehearsed these sentences over and over again in front of a mirror the last night, hence the slight shadows underneath his eyes. But who could think of sleep when he was planning how to confess to his crush, aka. the most gorgeous person on planet earth?
When you said ‘yes’, he broke into the biggest grin and even thanked you for giving him a chance. He invited you to one of his favorite restaurants nearby. At home he sat down on his bed, head in his hands and had to take a deep breath to realize what had happened today. As soon as the butterflies hit his stomach he was laying on his bed, slightly punching his pillow while his cheeks turned bright red in happiness.

Secret |Tooru Oikawa|
Tumblr media
Part 2
I watched the practice match between Karasuno and Aoba Johsai. I was one of the team managers besides Kiyoko for the boy's volleyball team. This was their first practice match between a school and it just so happened to be a powerhouse. I mostly agreed to be team manager because my brother was the team captain. I was thanking the heavens a certain someone wasn't at the practice match. I know that sounds bad but it was for my own sanity. That person I am dating is the one and only Tooru Oikawa. The pretty boy that all the girls dream of. I watched the game intently, internally laughing at the fact that Kageyama got slammed in the back of the head by Hinata. At least there was some fun at losing the first set.
I passed out water bottles to everyone before the second set started. They were all making fun of Kageyama and cheering Hinata up for messing up the last serve. The boys eventually all calmed down and started walking onto the court. Aoba Johsai started to fall apart in the beginning but picked themselves up. The set ended in a close call with Karasuno winning 25-22.
"Oikawa!!! You're back!" I heard someone say from the other team. I almost dropped the water bottle I was holding, he wasn't supposed to be here. I quickly hid behind Kiyoko who just gave me a confused look. I smiled nervously playing off the internal panic I was having.
"Aha! You're back, how's the ankle?" I heard the coach say
"Never been better"
"Be careful next time"
"I will coach. Sorry"
I can't believe what I'm hearing. He told me he wasn't showing up to his practice games. I see how it is, suddenly showing up just to show off and provoke the other team. While he was getting told off by his coach I heard our team trash talking.
"He's also twisted, really twisted" I heard Kageyama say.
"More than Tsukishima!"
"Holy crap that's bad"
I sighed in relief when he went to go warm up. Both teams went onto the court and the match started. Karasuno was pulling ahead at 20-24, it seemed like an easy win until they threw Oikawa in the game.
I rolled my eyes hearing his fan girls go crazy over him. It couldn't be helped he's too pretty and charming. I could hear him making comments during the game. I looked directly at Oikawa while he was serving and I guess he saw because he decided to wink in my direction. All the boys on the team looked over making me nervous. Thank god Kiyoko was next to me because Tanaka and Noya started cursing under their breath. In the end, Karasuno ended up winning the game with 2 set wins.
"Good job guys!" I smiled and gave Hinata a high-five and Daichi a hug. "I'm gonna head to the bathroom before we head on the bus!"
"Be quick so we don't leave you!" I heard Daichi yell.
I smiled and walked to the girl's bathroom. I looked down at my phone texting Oikawa about the little stunt he pulled, suddenly it was snatched from my hands. I looked up to see who it was and low and behold it was the man of the hour.
"What the hell Tooru," I said reaching up to grab my phone that he had over his head.
"Aww come on not even a nice hello?" He grinned. "I came all the way to school just to surprise you"
"A heads up would've been nice" I crossed my arms. "Then I wouldn't have been caught off guard."
"Don't act like you don't mind seeing me play"
"I never said I didn't mind plus" I jumped up to grab my phone again and failed. "I've seen you play before"
"That was in middle school"
"That's actually wrong because I had to sneak out last year to see one of your games"
"But I didn't know you were there"
"Because I had to leave so I wouldn't get caught" I sighed. "Give me my phone back I have to board the bus soon"
"But I wanted to hang out more" He jokingly frowned wrapping one of his arms around me still holding my phone in the air.
"Come on someone's gonna see us" I smiled at the sudden action.
"We've been dating for a year and a half now don't you think someone should know by now?" He said softly leaning his face closer to mine.
I took this opportunity and cupped one of his cheeks pulling him into a kiss. The sudden action caught him off guard making him drop his arm holding my phone. I quickly grabbed my phone and pulled away from the kiss.
"Now that's playing dirty," He said as my phone was blowing up from text messages.
"Listen I have to go, trust me I wish I could stay but I can't," I said slipping out of his arms. "I'll call you later"
"Fine just text me when you make it home so I know you did" He put his hand in his pockets sighing.
"Will do" I kissed his cheek and ran back to the court. "Love you!"
"Love you too," He said watching me walk away, little did we know two first years were listening to everything we said.
"Did they say they are dating?" Hinata whispered to Kageyama who was just as thrown off as Hinata.
"Do you think Daichi knows?" Kageyama whispered back.
"I don't think so, Y/n made it sound like no one knows"
"Should we tell Daichi?"
"I dunno... let's just hurry and use the bathroom"
"Sorry there was a line for the bathroom" I lied jogging up to the team smiling. 'I didn't get the chance to go
"Your fine Hinata and Kageyama went to the bathroom right after you left," Daichi said.
"W-what? That's crazy really? And they haven't come back?"
"Maybe there was a line for the boy's bathroom too" Sugawara shrugged.
"Probably"
"We're back" I heard Hinata say.
Both boys stared at me then back to Daichi. They don't know right? The boys looked at each other nodding. They looked back at Daichi.
"Hey, captain can we uh talk to you?" Kageyama said. "Alone?"
Shit.
"Sure but make it quick," Daichi said walking away the two boys following behind. I started to slowly panic.
"So what's up?"
"Well we thought you should know that-"
"Y/n is dating the great king!" Hinata yelled.
"Hinata you dumbass, the whole gym doesn't need to know that!"
"Well, you weren't gonna say it!"
"I was in the middle of talking!" The two boys started bickering as Daichi just stood there processing what Hinata just said.
I yelled Hinata yell something and looked behind me. Daichi looked confused meanwhile Hinata and Kageyama were arguing.
"Y/n? What's wrong?" Kiyoko asked concerned.
"Oh? Huh yeah yeah I'm fine totally fine" I smiled picking at my nails.
"Are you sure? You can talk to me"
"I can assure you everything is fi-"
"Y/n" I heard Daichi say sternly.
'I'm dead'
"Yes?" I coughed looking at my older brother for 2 minutes. "What's up?"
"I think we should talk when we get home"

Now I'm curious to hear more details about "the colour of her eyes" and the Haikyuu WIP! ٩(๑`∪´๑)۶
Also I forgot about "Don't trust the government, trust pasta boy" but I remember it being funny 👀✨
Listen, i have no idea what's pasta boi is about, all i remember is thats its based off a silly conversation with a friend from uni when we were in class.
The haikyuu AU : one focused on the karasuno team, and more importantly Tobio Kageyama because of a specofic OC - his neighbour has a small daughter
Luna [INSERT SURNAME] (5-6 yr old) is Kageyama's neighbours's daughter. Though they share no blood ties, kageyama has known the little girl since her birth and has always treated her like she was his niece. With her, he shares his passion for volleyball and tells her all the stories ab his teammates and the games they play.
One morning before practice, Luna's mom is called for an emergency at work and is unable to take care of Luna. Kageyama ends up taking the role of a last minute  babysitter, and has no choice but to bring the 5 year old to practice with him. This marks luna's first - and definitely not the last - encounter with the Karasuno volleyball team.
This AU is basically karasuno team adopting that baby girl and the other teams of Haikyuu series will also get to know her and she'll follow their journey all until their pro years (i think she ends up playing too).
AU created with two friends of mine @starsenet @sleepyanger
Hinata crosses his arms on his chest and raises his eyebrows at Kageyama.  “Kidnapped a child on your way to practice ?”  “Wha- no! What’s wrong with you?”  “I don’t know. What else am I supposed to think? I know you don’t have a younger sister.”  “And so the first thing you think is that I kidnapped a child???”  “Who kidnapped a child?”  Hianta whips his head around. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi have arrived too.  “Kageyama did,” Hinata deadpans  at the same time Kageyama grunts, “No one!”  Tsukishima’s lips twitch. “The king will never cease to surprise us.”
Colour of her eyes seems to be a random WIP, I'd completely forgotten about its existence but here you go. Unsurprising plot twist, its gay.
Brown was the colour of her favourite chocolate flavoured pocky, the colour of the leather-bound books that had conquered every empty space in her room, it was also the colour of the soil of the many plants she bought on impulse over the last few months.  Brown was warm, safe and home.  And whenever she saw Anya's brown eyes, Ez wanted to drown in them forever.  She wanted to wrap herself in the warmth that took over her heart whenever Anya was near like she would Bury herself under a blanket during long winter nights. She wanted to hold her hand, to never let go. She wanted to hear all the stories Anya has to tell, wishing they'd never end. She wanted to see her smile, see her laugh, for when she did either of those things, her eyes lit up like fireworks.  "Ez, are you okay?"  Ez blinked and looked at Anya who was giving her curious - concerned - look.  Brown. So Brown.  Beautiful.  "Ez, are you Daydreaming at work again?"  "Huh? No! Never. Why would you say that"  "Yeah right. You're lucky il too nice to report you to the boss. Make sure you're done with Madox files before you leave tonight, though."  "I will, Anya!"  And as Anya exited the room, the sound of her heels slowly fading in the corridor, Ez turned her attention back to her desk and the stack of paper waiting for her. She picked her favourite pen, rolled up her sleeve and tightened her ribbon around her hair, before convincing herself that once she'd be done, she'd gather the courage to ask Anya to come have dinner with her.
There you go :3

summary: Kageyama x Reader. written for @yurens for the @heatwave2021 fic exchange!!
word count: 3k
cw: barely slightly suggestive, pure getting together fluff
a/n: technically this is being posted 17 minutes after the due date 😭 i'm so sorry about that ANYWAY i enjoyed writing this so much and i hope you enjoy reading!!
Kageyama comes home after a long day of extra practice to an overheated apartment and a fridge full of spoiled food. Summer is overstaying its welcome, he thinks, putting the batteries into an old fan that clicks and thunks before finally whirring into life. The sun has gone from being blindingly white to a softer egg-yolk yellow, but the view from his window isn’t as pleasant when there’s no breeze and the plastic plants Hitoka-chan had bought him as a housewarming gift are wilting.
So far, the fan is only blowing warm air around, so Kageyama leaves it to do its work while he takes out a trash bag full of chunky milk and black-spotted cuts of meat. He doesn’t mind, really, since he’s too tired to really attempt cooking and had just planned to microwave something. Now, though, his microwave clock is blank and black; he supposes he’ll have to fight his way through crowds of similarly powerless people to get meat buns at the supermarket.
While he’s on his way back up the complex’s stairs, he pauses to watch an open can roll down one step at a time. When it reaches him, he stops it with his toe, twisting his head to the side to read it.
Pickled peas, the can reads, with a little green graphic of the vegetable. He looks up to see you, two steps above him, focused not on the stray can but on his face.
“Sorry,” he says, “is this yours?” He picks up the can and holds it out to you, but thinks better of the gesture after you unsuccessfully try to maneuver the trash bag you’re carrying so that you’ll have a free hand to take it. Instead, he retracts his hand, still holding your pickled peas can.
“Sorry,” you blink and shake your head. “Sorry, my bag is, uh, overfull. I’m surprised more people aren’t out here, but I guess they’re all probably shopping and stuff for the free air-con.”
Your bag looks like the one he just tossed, and on the verge of bursting as well. Kageyama thinks about how gross it would be if it exploded all over the stairwell and shudders inwardly. Outwardly, his face remains the same as always, if a bit scrunched up in disapproval of— well, he doesn’t know what. Too many things.
“Uh, I can carry that for you,” he says. “If you want.”
“Oh, are you sure? I can,” you start, but he’s already hefting it up, tossing in the pea can, and twisting the top of the bag around, corded muscle bunching up beneath his sweat-soaked t-shirt. “Thanks.”
“No problem.”
The two of you walk down the stairs in silence, and he breathes a sigh of relief when the lid shuts over the bag. You introduce yourself and thank him again, and he reciprocates when he accepts, trying to subtly stretch out his right arm.
“What level are you on?” You ask. “I moved here a couple weeks ago; I haven’t really met any of my neighbors yet.”
“Five,” he says, and wonders if he should warn you that he’s not really the best person to be friends with unless you’re a volleyball enthusiast.
“Oh, so am I!” you say, and he’s not sure why the small smile you wear when you look up at him makes his head feel cloudier than it did the time Hoshiumi tried to explain taxes to him. This isn’t the irritated, dark shadow that had passed over him then, though. He blinks profusely and wonders how it can be heating up, how he can feel so blinded when he’s not staring at the sun.
“This is mine,” you say, and he realizes that he’s been so distracted by the sway of your hair and the glow of your skin (there’s a lot of skin, it’s hot, it’s so hot in this powerless building, even in near darkness) that you’ve made it up all the stairs and down the halls, three doors past his own.
“Okay,” he says, and doesn’t move. You don’t, either, taking out your keys but not putting them in the lock.
“I don’t know what I’ll do for dinner,” your warm voice takes on a nervous tinge. “I just threw out most of my food, and I ate most of the stuff that wasn’t bad for lunch.”
He can’t tell if that’s an invitation or real distress. After all, you just moved in. Maybe you don’t know many places to eat yet.
“There’s a supermarket just a block away,” he says. “They have meat buns and other ready-to-eat meals.”
“I’ll look up the address,” you look truly grateful. Not an invitation, then, so he’s not sure why the next words spill out of his mouth.
“Do you want me to show you there?”
He stutters and stumbles over his next words, trying to pry open a way for you out of the outing should you want to walk out. You watch the red slowly rising on his face, admire the way his speech trips from a slow stroll to the speed of a sprinter in the last meters of a race. Finally, he slams on the brakes, an electric calm settling over him when he takes a deep breath and says:
“I’m sorry for all that. You can say no, if you want, but I’d like to get to know you better if you feel the same.”
The calm is splintered all too soon. You can see the panic clawing up his throat, making veins in his neck stand out and the whites of his eyes show as he mutters something about being a stupid idiot under his breath, and so instead of letting him run on his last legs right into the ground, you place your hand (gently, like you’re trying not to scare off a wild animal) on his forearm and pull him right back to earth.
“I’m just as interested as you are,” you say, and let him wonder whether you’re more interested in the market or in him.
In the still summer heat, something is blooming. Little green shoots, poking through soil with the awe of newborns after a lifetime spent buried. Kageyama, although he can’t name the psychical flora, can sense a presence where the fields have been barren for many years, too young yet to require a welcome and watering or even an upheaval.
And he thinks he can see the same feeling rising in you.
He walks you to the grocery, sticking to the shaded side of the street and putting on his most threatening aura to part the cloying crowds of people also trying to find sustenance that won’t turn in the heat.
The heat, the heat, the heat seems to be the most anyone can think about, fanning themselves and commenting on the lateness of sunset and pouring bottles of water on their heads. You don’t seem to wilt beneath the weight of the sun’s wrath, though, keeping up a steady flow of conversation punctuated with enough comfortable silence that Kageyama feels neither awkward nor exhausted. When you nudge him and comment on something you’ve seen, or when you hum in agreement, or when you ask him questions, it doesn’t make him want to respond tersely the way strangers usually do at first. When he snaps at you accidentally or says something that should shut down the conversation, you just laugh lightly and let your tongue rest before he says something— hesitant, perhaps dry, but still something to let you know that he’s here because he wants to be, and he’s here because he’s growing to like you.
When the both of you get back, holding little packages of food, not enough to worry about leftovers going bad, you take the elevator. The walk back was more tiring than the walk there; it’s barely getting cooler.
Kageyama takes your meal into his hands, glad his skin is thick enough that the heat from the bottom of it isn’t so bad. He doesn’t have to balance the package on his fingertips like you did. You glance at him curiously, but say nothing.
When the elevator doors slide open, he steps out first, walks straight to his door and goes inside. Just inside the doorway, he turns to look at you over his shoulder, blue pools stirring with hope in their deepest depths.
You pick up your pace and follow him through.
Kageyama’s apartment is spare, but comfortable. His couch is navy blue and threadbare, his TV admirably old. There’s a table covered in papers— before you can look too closely at what appears to be a magazine with his face on the cover, he’s sweeping them away and dumping them unceremoniously in a pile on the TV stand. The curtains are pulled shut to keep out the sun’s rays and the fan seems to have pulled the temperature down to bearable.
“Here,” he says, pulling out a chair. You take it, letting yourself smile a little wider, knee bouncing beneath the table as he turns to pull out two plates and sets of utensils. “I figure we won’t need to use the microwave.”
“Would it work, anyway?” You return, and he blinks and turns to look at the appliance, which remains lifeless.
“Oh. Yeah,” he seems unfazed by the blunder. “Let’s eat.” So far, he’s seemed supremely nonchalant— except for the blip when he’d asked you to stay by his side.
Well, that was dramatic. It was just groceries and dinner, even if it felt like breaking dawn.
Conversation starts slow, because Kageyama seems so insistent on shoving all his food down before it runs away from him, in addition to some kind of health drink that looks like it tastes worse warm. While the warmth tends to curb your appetite, the walk helped, so you waste no time in chowing down yourself.
Once he’s slowed down, Kageyama speaks. You trade stories of your youth— the first time you rode a bike, the first time he set a ball— of your relatives— he speaks of his grandfather with a reverence you’ve found is increasingly rare, and with a love that you know can’t be pulled from a child with any kind of negligence— of your job and his. You ask if there’s a channel on which you can watch his games, and he offers you free tickets. You’re strangers, but the way you communicate makes you feel like you can see each step to take from here. The path you’re following is one not taken alone.
“It’s dark,” Kageyama notes, when the sun is no longer burning through the curtains. “Should you—”
“Do you have candles?” You say at the same time, then wince. “Sorry, what did you say?” He swallows, then crosses his arms and rests them on the table.
“Never mind,” he shakes his head. “I think so.”
He stands to search one of the rooms down the hall, and returns with a thick handful of taper candles, his other hand holding a bag that he dumps out on the table to reveal a number of candle holders. He winces when they clang against the table, but you’re already putting the two together, needing something to do with your hands.
“Wait,” you look at him, pupils dilated. “Do you have anything to light them with?”
He responds by grinning widely and producing a lighter, and the training of his fine motor skills is apparent as he dexterously lights each taper.
Hinata insists that his smile remains a terrifying freak occurrence when he remembers to; Kageyama’s publicist, who keeps trying to wrangle him into advertising campaigns, vehemently disagrees. His smile remains without his knowledge once every light is successfully lit, and unbeknownst to you, your opinion couldn’t be more different from his orange-haired friend’s.
In the candlelight, he’s more handsome than before, a thought you allow yourself only grudgingly. He invited you to dinner, and Kageyama doesn’t seem like the kind of person to do anything unless he really wants to.
In the candlelight, your face is lit up brilliantly, your features softened and eyes hooded in shadow. Kageyama is often oblivious to the outside world, too focused on his game and his goals to stop and smell the roses, but now he couldn’t break the moment if he tried. He drinks you in, liquid fire rippling over the both of you in slow waves.
“I should probably go,” you say, your tone quiet to match the night, eventually, once the moon is high overhead. “Thank you for being so neighborly. I’m sorry if I overstayed my welcome.”
He laughs a little at that. There’s a fondness in the sound that scratches at his throat and threatens to poke up and out of the cavity, but when you share his mirth, however light, he can’t bring himself to choke it back down.
“You didn’t,” he assures you. “You should come back sometime.”
“Yeah?” You regard him in the doorway with an amused grin.
“Yeah.”
You find yourself dropping Kageyama a line whenever you’re running short on food or company, which quickly transitions into an easy friendship bordering on something more. He tries to drag you out on morning runs, and you convince him to start using skincare products beyond a splash of water at the beginning and end of every day. He complains affectionately about his teammates and listens like you’re the Prime Minister as you rant about your worst work days. With time and care, the wasteland becomes an oasis, lush greenery thriving with every demure smile and brush of skin against skin and shared, sarcastic glance.
It’s on another warm night that Kageyama (Tobio, he reminds you to call him) invites you over, citing the fact that he’s run out of matches to rewatch (a lie) and that his friends are mostly out of town (true). You’re there all too quickly; when he teases you about it, you roll your eyes and tell him that the commute isn’t long.
You’re just finishing your meal, although Tobio’s been done for minutes yet, when the lights flicker out. There’s barely a beat before the two of you pull out your phones in sync, searching for the power map before making twin noises of understanding.
“Power outage,” he speaks first, and you nod.
“Candles?”
There’s a strange sense of remembrance hanging in the air as you walk ahead of him to find the candles; you’ve seen them before on previous expeditions to his home. Strange, the passage of time.
You gather them together, hip-bumping him before you walk out of the room. He lights them, just as he did the first night, and you watch as the sparks flare to life, growing into full flames.
There’s something new in the air this time, though. A breeze brushes over your skin, every hair on your body standing up straight at the touch of the air current. You’ve graduated from sitting across from Tobio to the seat next to him, and you can feel the warm press of his leg against yours. You kick lightly at his ankle, your intent playful, but it does nothing to dissuade the turning tide.
Like the last time, Tobio is captivated. Your eyes shine too brightly in the quickly dimming room, and he feels too relaxed, too ready to do something he hasn’t yet had the chance to think through. There’s something new in the air, but nothing unexpected; nothing that hasn’t been building gradually since he looked up at you in that stairwell and saw all too much more than there was. He was the stranger under the filtered sunshine, the dinner buddy behind the candlelight. But since the first morning, he's wanted to be your lover of tomorrow's tender dawn.
You’re not sure who leans in first.
The first press of lips is electric. You shiver, a full-body shock sweeping over you that prompts you to move quickly where you might have taken things slow, to act when you wanted to learn him first. Your hands push into his hair and cup the back of his neck, pulling him closer or pushing yourself in; you’re not sure. He doesn’t seem to mind the change of pace, just keeps kissing you. Inevitable, is what you think he is, a force of nature washing over you with a steadiness and skill you’ve never experienced.
He doesn’t break away, only lets you pull back and rest your forehead against his when you need to. You can see his blue eyes blinking at you, asking silently why you’d pulled away. You take a deep breath in response, and exhale with an oh as big hands pull you into his lap so he can nose at your neck, up your jaw, along your cheek.
“Tobio,” you whisper his name, and he hums in response, opens one of your hands and places his own in it to hold. “Shit, the lights— the lights are back on.”
They are, throwing the picture in his kitchen into sharp relief. You’re in Kageyama Tobio’s lap, kissing him like you’re promising him forever and more, letting him reciprocate with all the vibrant energy he carries in his soul.
“Everything okay?” He asks, letting go of you just enough that his hands hover over your skin instead of gluing themselves to it.
“Yes,” you say instantly. “Kiss me more.”

inspiration from the tiktok audio “ I don’t love you i’m just passing the time “
This was never about you. Honestly you were surprised it took you so long to notice.
No that was a lie you weren’t surprised because it was his fault he never told you flat out that he wasn’t expecting much from you. It’s not that he wasn’t interested he just — he didn’t know what to do. Of course he thought you were beautiful and that’s what scared him but at the same time gave him the energy to talk to you.
His personality was known for leading him to talk to beautiful people.
He was sure he’d never date you because, his heart belonged to kiyoko .
No one could ever top her or at least that’s what he thought until you came along. Here you were in all your beauty putting anyone else to shame that dared to stand next to you.
You were perfect for him and after a couple months you were all his. He adored you even after highschool when you two finally decided to move in together.
he told you every day how much he loved you. His love even trickling down to his actions when he would ask you to do couple things appearing out of no where with a request
‘ y/n how about black hair dye huh ? wanna try something new together i’ll color my hair too ! ‘
you instantly agreeing to every ask all of them ranging from
‘ hey y/n , have you always been able to see? are you sure because you were squinting just awhile ago we can get you glasses I mean I don’t care about price if it’s for you —no no I think we should—let’s do black square rims ? i think they would fit your pretty face ‘
to
‘ babe when you do your makeup this time try some face designs their so cool I see them all the time on my instagram here — can I try ‘ him smiling before sitting next to you and guiding the eyeliner out of your reluctant hand a tight smile drawn across your face
Him smiling when you turned to the mirror to see a small black dot next to your lips. ‘ you look so pretty with it ‘
You hadn’t noticed until the volleyball reunion when you sat in a circle with all the old members and tsukishimas mouth spilling out his harsh words unbothered by your reaction “ why the hell do we have two kiyokos now? “
his glasses moving down on his nose as he spoke again “ y/n i’m sure we only need one I personally prefer the original she looks more “ his head tilted as his eyes ran over your new look “ natural“
“ yeah I was actually wondering that but I didn’t wanna bring it up first I um y/n are you trying to look like kiyoko or “
your small cough coming out and drawing all the attention back to you as you felt the same woman turn to face you her own eyes now seeing what the others were talking about “ of — of course not I — “
“ eh what the fuck “ your boyfriends voice coming out loudly as he now sat pissed off with the group “ are you pricks trying to say I couldn’t get over kiyoko or some shit “
“ what what no tanaka-san we “ sugawaras voice coming out to try to let the tension fizzle out
“ no because I’m feeling like there’s something being unsaid here“ he grunted “ if anyone has anything else to say badly about my s/o then they should just fuck off “
“ tanaka “ you screamed
“ no i’m tired of people thinking I can’t get shimizu out of my head I can —I can and I will “
“ y-you will ? “
“ I mean I have “ his eyes locked with yours as he spoke low “ I have “
The room grew quiet as he stood the chair he sat in being pushed back as he walked off you standing up too offering a small smile to everyone in the circle “ sorry if you’ll excuse me “
“ your good—I think he needs you a little bit more than we do right now“ daichis voice came out a bit more concerned than he wanted it too
Your figure being seen getting smaller and smaller as you ran after your boyfriend to the kitchen grabbing his arm loosely “ babe I “
“ let go y/n “
“ but I — tanaka what’s up why are you acting like this “
“ I said let the fuck go y/n “ his voice boomed as he yanked his arm from you your body moving back a little due to the strength he’d pulled it back with “ i’m going to go get a drink I can’t handle those assholes alone “
“ your — you’re not alone tanaka i’m with you ill handle them with you “
A smile slowly spreading across your face when he stopped moving only to turn over his shoulder biting his lip as he stood thinking to himself his hand pointing to the kitchen “ for some reason that only makes me need a drink even more “
You nodded softly as he rolled his eyes at you “ you do understand correct ? “
“ yeah yeah no of course “ you smiled tightly as he walked off and you walked back to the crowded living room trying to contain your tears that wanted to spill so badly usually when he acted like this he’d drink himself to sleep.
You sat down on the floor letting yourself join the huddle as everyone spoke you getting lost in your thoughts. It wasn’t often that this happened but when it did it never went the way you would want it to. He would always get distant instead of becoming clingy like you would rather. He’d become meaner with his words instead of thinking of you before speaking like he usually would.
“ prick only ever thinking of himself —a stupid child“ you whispered out thinking of your boyfriend and his future actions that you could already predict
“ yeah shoyos gotta be— the asshole requested it “ kageyama whispered to you as you turned to see hinata sitting across from you waving to you when he met your gaze making you speak softly with a smile “ sweet “
“ hey y/n wanna play dare or dare with us ? “
you shook your head laughing a bit “ what are we teenagers again“ you laughed a bit louder “ but no i’ll — i’ll pass “
“ aw come on your the only other chick here besides kiyoko “
“ no no no you guys go ahead i’ll just watch “
everyone sighed as they began the game you hearing loud steps pound through the house as your boyfriends loud voice cut through the laughter “ what you pricks started without me “
“ yeah uh just join tanaka- san “
“ fuck yeah “ he wobbled over to sit next to daichi not locking eyes with you only smiling at everyone around the table taking a long swig of the liquor bottle he’d sat on the table in his adventure over.
The air that was once tense seemed to calm down as everyone started drinking and suggesting dares. You smiling as you looked at everyone this had to be the best night of your life finally getting to see all your friends again after kageayma and hinata traveled non stop and everyone else never had the time to have a party.
You patted yourself on the back seeing everyone having such a good night.
“ ok ok last dare “ nishinoya burped out as he shakily raised his hand already drunk off his ass his words sluring as he spoke “ I dare tanaka—san to “ he took another gulp from the bottle only to push it aside and open the new one that laid dormant between the two of you “ to kiss the prettiest person in the room “
Everyones eyes widening as they all broke out into a laughing fit “ fucking nishinoyas so stupid “
“ this asshole just wasted a dare on an obvious answer “
hinata rubbing the said males back as his head finally dropped to the table cheek hitting the brown table as he laughed “ ha yeah sure ‘m stupid —real stupid “
he smiled drunkenly laughing at the tables comments “ haha its obviously not that obvious “
Your heart dropped smile only following as you looked from nishinoyas eyes to the scene playing in front of you. Your boyfriends lips locked on another pair that weren’t your own. His hands coming up to the back of her head to push her closer to him as he hungrily pressed his lips onto hers
Her eyes wide as his were closed almost like he was enjoying this “ what “ you whispered out as a rough hand came in contact with tanakas shoulder grabbing it and pulling him back
“ what the fuck you asshole “ tsukishimas voice was threatening as he stared down on the male genuinely confused “ what the hell do you think your doing “
“ hey blondy is that anyway to speak to someone older than you“ he scoffed “ mind your manners child “
“ mind— mind your manners? “ your voice was short and quiet as your eyes darted around the room eyes blinking back the surprise they held as everyone turned to face you only making this deepening pit in your stomach grow.
“ why— tanaka— san why would you do that “
“ what — whatd I do this time suga huh — first it was having a crush on kiyoko everyone was screaming how I wouldn’t get her ha “ he scoffed “ fucking assholes were right so here I am with a fucking backup “
He shook his head as he leaned it back to stare up at the ceiling “ shitty arts and crafts project of building her because I couldn’t have the original — fucking sad “
your heart broke “ sitting here pretending kissing y/n is the same as kissing kiyoko — hell I didn’t even wanna kiss y/n right now i wanted to kiss kiy— “
“ shitty asshole you just did “ tsukishimas voice raised his eyes holding the anger you couldn’t even hold for yourself “ you just did right in front of your s/o “
“ well with them looking the same how the fuck was I suppose to tell “ he laughed “ that’s what you said earlier right ? so what’s so wrong with me enforcing it ? “ he scoffed “ everyone already believed it right so why the fuck does it matter they look the same, act the same , talk the fucking same so in the end I kissed y/n right— ha “
your body hurt just like your heart and your brain was spinning “ why would you — why would you date me tanaka if you didn’t want me “
“ did it look like I was gonna get kiyoko anytime soon — your a ditz — the whole time i’m doing this to get over her and you just became her “
you sat silently blinking back the tears that you held throat holding a sob that wanted to make its way out “ get the fuck out “
“ excuse m—”
“ GET THE FUCK OUT “ you screamed your tears disappearing and turning into anger “ get out get out get out “ you screamed hands reaching out to punch him over the table as you repeated the phrase
“ ok— ok stop stop “
“ no no no get the fuck out I paid for this I paid I paid “ you screaming like a child throwing a tantrum in a supermarket him only moving to stand and walk to the bedroom drunkenly to grab his clothes “ just let me grab my stuff i’ll be out of your hair for the night “
you raged as he made his way into your once shared bedroom forgetting the living room full of people as you ran after him to rip the clothes out of his hand that he held. All the items you’d bought with your hard earned money. The shoes you’d spent over 50$ on for his birthday in his hand along with the limited edition shirt you’d bought for him after he begged for it screaming that was his favorite player.
The items that you’d stayed up four hours for the night of just to buy it for him with your paycheck that week. Your thoughts only making you more upset when you thought back to everything you’d done for the male and the stuff he’d done for y—
he’d done absolutely nothing for you in this whole relationship and this only pissed you off more at the thought
Your heart broke again when you noticed you were already screaming at him again “ get the hell out “
“ i’m going fuck y/n “
“ go faster asshole “
“ what so no clothes ? “ he laughed “ come on that’s pretty harsh —baby it’s cold out give me a jacket or something at least until morning when I come back home “
“ morning “ you scoffed “ you’ll need a jacket for awhile tanaka because your not coming back in my house so freeze your ass off out there or go with your high school crush and her husband “
His once smiling face turning into an angry one as he stepped closer to you the alcohol spilling from his breath and onto your face as he stared down at you “ the fuck are you bringing that up for “
“ your the one who went around kissing a married woman “ you were gonna rub this all in his face. You couldn’t wait until kiyokos husband beat up the drunken deadbeat in front of you.
“I thought it was you “
“ yeah sure after you gave me a makeover to look like her i’m sure you did tanaka “
“ so fucking ungrateful “
“ oh now i’m ungrateful “
“ yeah you are “ his voice got louder as he pointed between you and him “ I made you into the woman I love — the perfect woman you should be on your knees thanking me right now “
“ aw should I “ you sighed “ god what’s wrong with me “
“ exactly now give me my stuff back i’m going to bed this is fucking with my head ’m drunk and I wanna bask in it for a minute — maybe forget you just tried to kick me out so I don’t get on your ass in the morning “
“ yeah of course babe you need your rest “ you nodded as he walked towards your door to pick up where you’d thrown his clothes only for you run and jump on his back arms wrapping around his neck your legs wrapping around his torso “ i’m gonna kill you— you asshole “
“ what the fuck “
“ then i’m gonna lock your body in my fucking freezer or even have daichi fake an arrest you prick— you’ve made my life a living hell — and now you wanna sleep— in my house “
You weren’t sure how he ended up leaving all you knew is that your heart seriously broke when you finally locked the door and rested your forehead against it. Tears spilling from your eyes for the first time that night. You’d gone crazy you had to have because just a few hours ago you almost choked the male to death after jumping on his back like a pro wrestler you were really going crazy
Your body relaxed as you felt a warmth make it’s way over to you only for it to tense when a familiar hand caressed your back and tried to lift your upper body up and away from the floor you’d fell onto sometime that night “ come on y/n —at least let me help you to the couch “ a sigh made it’s way through the house “ I promise you can wallow in your shitty tear soaked shirt after I make sure your comfortable and not hurting “
a cough quickly followed “ physically that is — this shits gotta hurt emotionally “
Your words coming out in a slurred whine like a child “ but it’s dirty — it needs to be cleaned “
“ would I tell you to go sit down if it wasn’t “ he spit back as he finally got you to fall into his chest after leading you over to the couch turning off the hallway light and leaving the lamp next to the couch on.
Him sighing out and shifting uncomfortably as you cried into his shirt causing him to need to distract himself from the crying woman in his arms. How the hell did he end up the nice one in this situation
Why did he push everyone out the house? He could’ve left hell he could’ve copied nishinoya and stolen the leftover four liquor bottles you had laid out on the table before everything happened
he wasn’t a comforting person so why would he shoo everyone else that could’ve helped you away?
he scoffed as he tried to fiddle with his sleeves only to take off his glasses and clean them over and over again
“ how many times are you gonna clean them “ you sniffled into his chest
“ until you finish acting like a baby — I feel like I have a kid ? Like i’m a parent I mean what do parents do” his hand softly came down on your head to pet your hair softly unsure why to do in this situation “ I uh— do you want warm milk ? chocolate or strawberry or is it my baby’s bedtime ? “
“ shut up tsuki “ he laughed as he felt you snuggle up closer to him “ so why are you — of all people —the only one that stayed everyone else must think i’m crazy or something “
“ eh I mean they already thought you were we were making bets before we walked in here on what you’d changed this time to look like kiyoko “
you slapping his arm softly before laughing “ god do I really look like her “
His once stoic face grew sad as his eyes ran over your facial features his eyebrows furrowing as he looked down on you “ yeah — yeah you really do — that crazy asshole “ he shook his head hand reaching out to touch your hair again feeling how burned it was from constantly flat ironing it and curling it like tanaka wanted “ god what did he do to you “
“ build a y/n “ you laughed as he stood up his own words following quickly after yours “ come on “
“ what “ you said as you stared at his open outstretched hand “ what’s going on “
“ let’s go “ you shook your head no “ look do you wanna change back or no “
You swallowed the lump in your throat before nodding slowly and taking his hand to travel with him to the bathroom. Him speaking to you softly only loud enough for you to try and figure out some of the words you couldn’t.
“ for some reason I miss old y/n — and I guess I wouldn’t mind seeing em’ again preferably across the table from me in a booth at 2:30 saturday with strawberry cake in front us? “

Love at First Sight (Kageyama x Reader)

Masterlist
Tumblr media
✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
"Ne, Kageyama, do you believe in love at first sight?"
Kageyama looked at the small, orange middle blocker. Their captain gave them 5 minutes to refill their energy from the extensive training. They are entering Spring High, so they need to improve their skills.
"Huh?" He raised his eyebrows at Hinata, "Those things aren't true. Is your head alright?"
Hinata snapped a bit but kept his calm at the setter, not wanting to provoke their captain, "Yes, I'm alright! I bet you just said those things because girls are frightened by your face!" Kageyama irked and growled in response.
"I am born with this face! Now, stop talking about those stuff and get your brain back into practice!"
"Aww, you're no fun~" Hinata pouted as he runs back to the court, earning a 'tsk' from the setter.
~~
The next day rolled around. Usually, Kageyama would just be hanging inside his classroom by himself in their free time, but here he was, with Hinata, Yachi, and Yamaguchi inside the classroom, helping them study for their upcoming test.
The sounds are filled with pencils scribbling, talking from Yachi and Yamaguchi when they're correcting the duo's mistakes, and bickering and insults from Hinata and Kageyama.
"Eeeeehh, Kageyama is good at remembering volleyball techniques in English but is really dumb at the subject itself..." Kageyama's irk mark appeared on his forehead, he gripped his pencil tightly at the middle blocker's statement.
Before he could open his mouth to retort, a lovely voice made his voice stuck on his throat.
"Oh! Yamaguchi-san, perfect timing!" A (h/c) haired girl walked up to Yamaguchi. You were holding what it seems to be a notebook. You looked at Kageyama and also saw the papers and some pencils placed at the table.
"Sorry, did I interrupt you guys?" You smiled shyly, taking note of the cute, black-haired boy looking at you.
"Oh no, you didn't! Don't worry about it," Yamaguchi reassured you.
"Really? That's good to hear," you giggled nervously, you handed Yamaguchi his notebook, "Thanks for lending me your notes for Japanese literature yesterday!"
Yamaguchi grabbed the notebook and placed it on his lap, "No problem, (L/n)-san."
"Anyway, I'll be going now. See you around Yamaguchi-san and thank you!" You take one good look at the black-haired male at your sight before excusing yourself from the group and walk back to your friends. Yamaguchi waved goodbye at you until his attention was captured by Hinata.
"Hello? Earth to Kageyama? Are you there?" His hands are waving at the starstruck Kageyama.
His pupils dilated in awe when he saw you, his eyes were even sparkling! His mouth was left open, you're so beautiful, so pretty, even your voice was soothing and beautiful to hear that he wanted to listen to it all over again. When you smiled, his heart was pounding fast, it felt like he could have a heart attack at any moment.
He would daydream more about you if Hinata didn't snap his fingers near his ear. Kageyama went back to reality and found Hinata wearing a teasing smile.
"Oi, boke, what's with that look?"
"Do you like Yamaguchi's friend?" A blush crept into the setter's face.
"W-what?! That's impossible! I-I just met her!" Kageyama curses himself internally for stuttering.
"I think it's love at first sight!" Yachi and Yamaguchi chuckled at Kageyama's and Hinata's interaction.
"You know Kageyama, I can introduce you to (L/n)-san sometimes if you want," Kageyama looked at Yamaguchi, "she's fun to be with when you get to know her." You? Talking to him? The last thing he wanted was to scare you away due to his scary look.
Kageyama stayed silent for a bit until he saw you, presumably, gazing at him. You blinked when you realize Kageyama saw you staring at him, and flashed a smile then wave your hand before your attention was snatched away by one of your friends.
His heart burst when you did that, maybe you aren't scared...
"S-Sure..." If this is what love at first sight Hinata was talking about, then he takes back what he said yesterday at the gym. He loves this new feeling when you're around him.

dates with the boys
Characters: Kita, Atsumu, Osamu, Suna, Kageyama, Kenma, Kuroo
✨Kita✨ and you decide to go pick some blueberries at a local farm. The date was very peaceful, especially since he made sure you wore bug spray so you weren’t attacked. By the end of the date, you wanted some pictures, which Kita hesitantly agreed to do for you. “I’m not good at this like Suna is,” he warns as he lifts the camera to photograph you. You giggled, “It’s fine. I just want to remember this moment.” After several shots of you, he decides to pose with you when a nice old lady offers to take pictures. When you look back on the pictures the next day whilst eating some delicious blueberry cobbler that Kita made, you groan, “Of course he’s also good at taking pictures.”
✨Atsumu✨ has begrudgingly remembered the time that you said his singing was bad for a while now. “Tsumu, maybe you should just stick with volleyball.” Being the competitive person that he is, he drags you to karaoke to show you that his singing has - at least - improved immensely since the last time he cried out “Sweet Caroline.” So, was his singing better? Shockingly, it was. Once Atsumu sets his mind on something, the need to succeed consumes him. When all the scores showed up for accuracy, he was jumping around from beating you. With arms crossed, you turn away from him, “Hm, sounds like someone isn’t getting kisses.” Atsumu proceeds to sing “Break My Heart.”
✨Osamu✨ has had a cooking date in mind that he has wanted to do with you since you two met. When you two are at his house to make bento boxes for a picnic, Atsumu makes sure not to disturb the peace unless he wants Osamu to murder him. “Am I doing this right?” You ask as you hold up the onigiri to your boyfriend. He smiles and pecks your forehead, “It’s as perfect as you.” Once you two are done, you and Osamu walk to a nearby park to eat your own creations. After you’re done eating, his head is resting in your lap so you decide to braid his hair. If anyone were to see this, they would think that Osamu was a completely different person, but he only ever shows this side of him to you.
✨Suna✨ plans a low-energy date, where you two stay in, order pizza, and watch Netflix. No, you two don’t do any funny business because - again - it’s supposed to be a date. If anything, that’d be for later. It’ll take you a few minutes to figure out what you want to watch, though. A series that your friend recommended caught your eye. “Can we watch ‘Don’t Fuck With Cats’?” Suna looks at you like you’re crazy, “Do you want me to cry tonight?” You give him a smile that he can’t resist, so he sighs and gives in. For the first time in a while, Suna shows an abundance of emotion to you. “Yeah, don’t mess with cats,” he mutters with conviction and anger. He holds you even closer during this documentary-series.
✨Kageyama✨ insists on taking you to the Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory. He’s so excited about it that he does a little dance because he can’t keep still. You think it’s so cute that you go just for him. As expected, Kageyama is in heaven as he looks at all the cutely-packaged milk-based products. “Do you have just milk?” He asks the worker, with sparkling eyes that you can’t possibly deny him. “Uh- yes, we can do that for you!” The worker says quickly, trying to maintain her composure. Once he has his milk, Kageyama is in a childlike joy for the rest of the day. “It’s so creamy!” He comments happily. You buy a whole pack for him, just so you can see that same smile more often.
✨Kenma✨ takes you to the arcade, which he insists won’t become a competition… but it does anyway. “You’re just choosing all of the PVP games!” You whined once you saw that Kenma won again with a KO. Although Kenma doesn’t want to admit it, he knows that he has the advantage since he’s a pro-gamer. “Do you have any suggestions, then?” With an evil grin spreading across your face, you drag him towards Dance, Dance, Revolution. He frowns at you with a glare, “How could you do this to me.” You laughed, “Let me just have one win!” He obliges you because he’d willingly get sweaty for you. After all, you made his heart race regardless.
✨Kuroo✨ insists that he’s a dog person, but he still pulls you to a cat cafe. “Y/N, look! He’s so cute!” He tries his best not to pick up the cat as you were instructed not to do that. Still, his hands are all over the cats, petting them everywhere. The cats seem to like you better, though, as they pounce away from the clutches of Kuroo to curl up next to you. “This isn’t fair!” The tall man pouts like a child. You chuckle, “I thought you liked dogs better? I think the cats can tell, too.” He sits next to you and pets the cat that rested itself on your lap, “Please love me.” “Here,” you say, lifting the cat so that it’s on his lap instead. “You need Sir Whiskers more than I do.” Seeing your tall, goofy boyfriend act soft makes your heart warm.

I’m on the team - pt 3
Pt 1 pt 2 pt 4
Tumblr media
Summery: the first day of training camp!!
Tw!!! scratching (self harm scratching), panic attack
It’s strange, over the week the team has been super busy, practicing and studying. I helped Tsuki with Hinata and Kageyama trying to make sure they pass there exams, Iv gotten pretty close with the two, there both really fun, and watching them both struggle with classes and Tsuki scolding them is super funny. Sadly the two didn’t pass their exams and are both super upset. I remember when we were getting our test scores back i rushed to their classroom with Yams hoping to see them both super excited only to see Hinata come out pouting, and Kageyama with this super dejected look like he was super disappointed in himself for his grades. They were assured tho that they would be able to get to the training camp just a bit late!
We’re headed to the training camp, me Tsuki and yams are all sitting together, me and Tsuki on one side and yams on the seat across the isle. I’m starting to get nervous, not knowing how other teams are going to react to me being there! They don’t even know who I am, or my situation!
“Tsuki!! What if their angry! Maybe I shouldn’t have come- or-or maybe I shouldn’t have even joined, we don’t know how people are going to react!”
“It’s going to be ok (Y/N) im sure their all nice.” Yams said with this super supportive smile
“Yeah and if anyone bothers you I’ll take care of them.” Tsuki says knocking shoulders with me giving me a small smile.
“Yeah (Y/N) don’t worry! You’ve got all of us, we won’t let anything happen!” Suga says turning around, seemingly having heard me freaking out.
I sigh starting to scratch my hands a nervous habit of mine. After a minute or two Tsuki notices grabbing my hand giving me a disapproving look. He reaches down into the backpack he brought on the bus looking for something, pulling out a stress ball and hands it to me.
The rest of the bus ride me Tsuki and Yams ended up falling asleep, I guess I tired myself out with all of my stressing.
We got to Tokyo faster then I thought, the bus ride felt way to quick! But I guess that happens when you sleep, it’s like time travel.
Getting off the bus we were greeted by some guy with crazy strange rooster hair, I quickly moved to hide behind Tsuki still scared about meeting the other guys. Daichi went over to talk to rooster head while the rest of us got our bags off the bus Tanaka and Noya pushing me and Tsuki and Yams to “walk faster” and “get more excited”.
I overhear The guy Daichi is talking to saying “ your missing a few aren’t you? Wait who’s the new kid” I move closer to Tsuki hoping his tallness will hide me, “why does the new kid look so scared of me.” all I can think about is what if they’re transphobic, what if they don’t want me here, what’s going to happen when they find out. “I’ll tell you about him in a bit.” Daichi responds giving me a concerned look. Tsuki makes a comment about annoying volleyball guys while nudging me to try and get my attention, he and Yams start bickering a little bit and Noya and Tanaka are practically bouncing off the walls and it keeps me distracted.
We were pointed towards the room we’d be staying in putting our bags down and changing. I started getting more nervous, Iv never met these people before and they don’t know my situation. What if I walk on the court and someone yells at me, what if people start asking questions, what if one of them gets super angry and starts yelling at me, what if the team decides they actually side with them! What if-
“(Y/N)” it’s Tsuki and Suga, the two are standing in front of me, Suga is holding my hands and Tsuki has a hand on my back.
“Come on let’s sit down yeah,” the two move me to go sit on a windowsill I look over their shoulders and see all the guys looking at me, I don’t know why I feel so small now, I know them all, I know their not judging me, but I still feel like the piercing stare I’m getting from them is too much. I see Asahi start moving and coming to stand next to Suga on the opposite side from Tsuki.
“Hey (Y/N) I need you to breath for me ok,” he gives me a really concerned look I hadn’t even realized I was hyperventilating, taking one of my hands from Suga and putting it on his chest taking big deep breaths so that I can feel it. “In and out, in and out.” The two words being repeated like a mantra.
Once I’m breathing slightly better Tsuki starts asking questions
“are you lightheaded?”
“Kinda”
“did you eat this morning”
“no”
“why?”
“Didn’t have time.”
“Can someone go grab a granola bar or something?” I see some movement and I think it was Noya who left to go grab something for me to eat. “Are you nervous about training camp?”
“Yes” I say quietly hoping that only he can hear
“Is it because you haven’t played a real game yet.”
I shake my head, I haven’t even thought about that fact that I’m going to be playing a real game for the first time, the only people Iv played against is the team.
“Is it because your afraid people are going to be mean about your gender?”
“I- yes,”
I see everyone look around, I guess they hadn’t thought this was really that big of a deal, but for me, this isn’t something that happens normally, while they all had the door to this space opened to them, I had to hike up a mountain to just get to the door, and I’m just scared that once I get into the space that they all see as a right, is a privilege that most people like me don’t have, it isn’t a space I’m normally supposed to be in, and once you realize my situation everyone knows it.
Suga pulls on my hands making me face him. “ it’s gunna be ok (Y/N), if anyone says anything we’ll deal with it. You’ve got the team! We’re going to make sure your ok.” Suga says with a reassuring smile.
Noya quickly gets back in the room with a granola bar and a water bottle sliding in front of me to hand them both to me. “Thanks Noya” it’s a couple more minutes that I sit there catching my breath before I give everyone a nod letting them know I’m ok, everyone starts to disperse to Finnish getting ready.
Tsuki went over to his bag giving me an extra shirt he had, just like when I first stopped wearing my binder while playing. It’s a reassuring gesture. I get changed and everyone starts leaving before Tsuki grabs my hand, holding me back for a second.
“Your gunna be ok. I promise. And if you get scared or anything just let me or Suga or Daichi know and we’ll get you off the court ok?”
“Thanks Tsuki.”
Tsuki speeds up a little bit to get to yams and Daichi slows down a bit to get back to me.
“Hey I wanted to let you know before we get in there, there might be a cupule people who know your situation, mainly Kuroo the captain of Nekoma, he’s the guy from when we first show up. And I think Kenma their setter might. Him and Kuroo are close and he’s friends with hinata, and we’ll you know hinata. Other then that I’m not sure, they might have told some others but still I can’t tell you what the rest know.”
“Thanks Daichi, um did Kuroo seem chill about it when you told him?”
“Yeah, yeah definitely, I mean he was for sure surprised but, he ended up just saying ‘oh! That’s cool’ so I don’t think you have anything to worry about there.”
“Thanks Daichi.”
“Of course kid.”
We finally all get into the gym moving to get warmed up before our first game!
—————————————————————
Let’s just say we haven’t been winning much, Coach put me into Hinatas spot so Iv been playing a lot. Honestly Iv been so stressed about my gender that I didn’t have time to stress about the fact that Iv never been in a game before. Iv gotten a few good spikes in and have been blocking a bit, but I’m by no means super good! We’ve been doing lots of flying laps.
After one of our practice games with nekoma everyone was taking a break to drink some water when some guy with bleached long hair came over to me.
“Hey.” He said kind of quietly, he seemed pretty awkward like he doesn’t do this often.
“Hey?”
“Um I just wanna let you know- i mean I’m friends with hinata and he’s told me about your situation.”
“Ah I see”
“I just wanted to let you know I’m chill with it, all of us on Nekoma are, so you’ve got nothing to worry about with us.”
“Thanks. It’s uh really reassuring to hear that. I’m (Y/N)”
“Kenma.”
“It’s nice to meet you Kenma”
“So uh how long have you been playing, it’s just we did a practice game with you guys not to long again and you weren’t there.”
“Oh yeah umm I just started playing only a few weeks ago.”
“Wow really. Your pretty good for someone who’s never played before.”
“Ha thanks, but I really have my team to thank, they got me playing and have been pretty good teachers”
“I hope one of those teachers hasn’t been Hinata I’m pretty sure most of what he says to explain volleyball is sound-effects.”
“I know right! It’s like he doesn’t know words sometimes.”
“Yeah it’s really strange but you get used to it.”
“Haha I guess eventually I’ll learn to speak his strange language!”
“Yeah!” Kind of out of nowhere the guy from this morning Kuroo I think his name was wrapped an arm around Kenmas shoulders.
“Well well what do we have here! Is Kenma actually talking to someone!”
“Shut up Kuroo”
“Hi I’m Kuroo, (Y/N) right?”
“Yeah, yeah that’s me.”
“Well it’s nice to meet the newest player.” He sends me a wink, “come on Kenma our games about to start, it was nice to meet you (Y/N)!” The two walk off headed back to the court.
It’s a little bit later in the day that Hinata and Kageyama show up! Hinata taking my spot in the game, and honestly I’m grateful, this day has been exhausting.
An: hey guys! Thank you so much for reading! I hope you all liked this part!! I’m so excited to keel writing!! I take requests so if you have any please just message me!!!

I have no clue if this is where you take request but oh well! I was wondering if it was possible to have like a short angst to fluff with Asahi? This man is so underrated and I just need more of him 🥺 Have a great day!
Your Ace
Tumblr media
Hey, bub. Thank you for requesting. I agree that Asahi is such an underrated character and he really deserves more love! He's always so soft and gentle that I want to hug him like a bear 🥺 Anyway, here's a piece for you. I hope you like it 😚
Tumblr media
genre: slight angst to fluff, slight crack
ft. asahi azumane
encouraging someone to continue doing the things they love has never been so hard, especially when that person comes in the name of asahi azumane.
Tumblr media
"Was that Shoyo and Kageyama?" you asked Asahi as you sat down on the chair infront of him, your eyes following the two first years as they scurry out of your classroom.
"Yeah, they're really persistent on making me play volleyball again." He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck.
You stared at the man in front of you and tilted your head a bit to the side. "Why don't you join the club again then? I heard Noya's back," you suggested.
"I've already quit playing volleyball," he simply answered.
Despite what he said, you didn't fail to notice the way he clenched his fist. A faraway look was present on his face as if he was remembering a certain memory.
"Is this still about what happened?"
Upon receiving no reply, you decided to continue. "I saw you play, you know? You were actually good. Just because you were defeated doesn't mean you failed. What matters isn't the number of times you failed but the number of times you pick yourself up."
Asahi let out a small 'tsk' before looking at you straight in the eyes, a frown now visible on his face. "I appreciate the thought but can we please drop it?"
Stubborn as always, you shook your head and leaned over his desk in determination. "But a team is not a team without an ace, 'Sahi. They need an ace. They need you. Nothing will happen if you just sit here. You'll just get stuck and end up regretting your decisions in the future."
Asahi is a patient man, everyone knows that, but everyone can lose patience when they get provoked or if someone butts in in their business.
And unfortunately for you, Asahi's patience was running thin. The two persistent first years and your nonstop encouragement seemed to be putting pressure on him which is something you missed.
"Y/n, I already asked politely but you still haven't stopped talking so I'll ask again. Please, drop it. I'm not going back," he said with finality.
"But Asahi-"
"I said drop it. Look, I really admire you for trying to encourage me but I don't need it, especially not from someone like you."
You stared at him in shock. Never have you ever thought that you would hear such words from him. He was always gentle and soft spoken especially to you, so hearing him say that made you feel as if your opinion wasn't needed.
Oh, right. He didn't know.
"You really don't know anything, do you?" You gave him a small fake smile before bowing slightly. "I'm sorry for speaking too much. I didn't mean to cross your boundaries."
"Y/n, I-"
Luckily for you, your teacher suddenly entered the room which meant that classes were about to start. Without letting him finish, you turned your back on him and focused in class, unaware of how much the ace wanted to turn back the time and take back what he said.
To say that you were upset was an understatement and Asahi wasn't stupid to not know that. The way you were ignoring him was enough to prove it.
He didn't intend to snap at you but he couldn't stop himself due to the pressure. He didn't even know why you were just as persistent as Shoyo and Kageyama were when it comes to bringing him back to the volleyball club.
Sighing, Asahi stood up as classes ended. Just as he was about to call out for you, you were already making your way out of the door.
Asahi quickly grabbed his bag and followed you. He called your name several times but he wasn't sure if you really didn't hear him due to the noisy hallways or you were just purposely ignoring him.
"Such a stubborn woman," he murmured under his breath as he continued to follow you.
His footsteps slowed down as he saw you making your way inside the gym, Daichi's arms enveloping you the moment you stepped in.
Are you Daichi's girlfriend?
Asahi felt an unpleasant feeling at the thought.
With sneaky movements, Asahi pressed his back against the wall as he heard you and Daichi talking. He was lucky that the small windows were open or else he would need to enter to hear what you two were talking about.
"But Daichi, I can still play!" Asahi heard you raising your voice.
What's going on? Why were you two fighting?
"I said no, y/n. I know that it's hard for you quit being the  ace of the girl's volleyball team but the doctors said that you have to stop playing unless you want to permanently damage your ankle." This time, it was Daichi's voice he heard.
"Just one set, Dai. I promise that I-"
"Asahi-san?"
All noises ceased the moment those words came out of Hinata and everybody's eyes turned towards Asahi who was now peeking through the door.
"It's Asahi-san!" Hinata squealed once again. The orange head grabbed Asahi's hand pulled him inside the gym.
Ignoring everybody's gaze, Asahi chose to focus on you. His eyes drifted down to your ankle for a brief moment before staring at you again.
The players noticed the tension between the two of you and decided to give you both space. Daichi's eyes lingered at you for a brief moment before sighing and leaving you guys when you gave him an assuring smile.
"I didn't know," Asahi said guiltily.
You frowned at him, the words he said awhile ago still fresh inside your memories. "Of course you didn't." You looked down at your ankle. "Such a bummer, right? I'm injured but I still refuse to give up."
"Y/n.."
"Maybe Daichi's right. Maybe I should just give up."
"No." You were surprised when Asahi placed his hands on your shoulder, his hand gripping you but not too tightly. "Didn't you tell me awhile ago that what matters is not the number of times you fall but the number of times you pick yourself up?"
"I guess I was just being hypocritical when I said that." You chuckled pathetically as you heard his words. "As much as I want to continue, I can't. If I do, I might end up breaking my ankle permanently."
"Then let me play for you."
You lifted your gaze to Asahi and saw determination in his eyes. "'Sahi.."
"I realized that you were right. Nothing will happen if I just sit and do nothing. I guess it's about time I face my fears." Asahi wrapped his arms around you, enclosing you into a hug. "I'm going to try again. Not only for the team, but for you as well. I'll be an ace you can be proud of."
You immediately hugged him back and buried your face to his chest, tears streaming down your cheeks. "You don't know how happy I am to hear that," you said and slowly pulled away from the hug.
The both of you stared at each other and it was only now that you noticed how handsome he is. Has he always looked this good?
A blush formed at both you and Asahi's cheeks. He quickly let go of you and maintained a safe distance. His heart was beating so fast that he was scared you might feel it.
"Are you done flirting with my cousin?" Daichi's said, interrupting the moment.
Cousin?
Oh...
What a relief.
"I-I wasn't flirting!" Asahi defended himself as he tried to avoid your gaze.
"Mhm?" Daichi said, clearly unfazed. "So it won't matter to you if I tell you she likes you then?"
Your eyes widened at what Daichi said. "Daichi!"
You quickly looked down in embarrassment and fiddled with your fingers, a nervous habit of yours Asahi was clearly familiar with.
At first, Asahi didn't know what to do nor how to act. Was he supposed to hug you? Was he supposed to confess as well? Or was he supposed to kiss you like what the guys from the movies do?
Clearing his throat, Asahi slowly stepped closer to you and put a hand on your head, petting you gently. "It's okay, y/n. I like you too."
Suddenly, Tanaka's laugh echoed throughout the whole gymnasium. Holding his stomach, he pointed at Asahi while laughing. "Are you seriously petting y/n's hair?! That's not how you confess to a girl Asahi-san!"
Asahi quickly removed his hand out of panic, his face now turning red. "I-I'm sorry!"
"What a bunch of idiots," you whispered before pulling Asahi down by the collar of his uniform, stopping when his face was merely inches from yours. You then rose an eyebrow at him before asking, "I like you and you like me. I guess we're dating now, right?"
"I-I guess?" he answered shyly.
"Good."
Those were the last words you said before finally pressing your lips against his.

Truth or dare- Daichi, Iwazumi
Tumblr media
You didn’t even want to be out, you aren’t much of a social person. You’d rather be in your bed sleeping than be at this club with your friends. They were playing truth or dare while you sipped on your drink looking around. “Y/n.” You looked at them as they said your name. “Truth or Dare?”
“Not playing.” You told them before looking around again.
“Oh come on. Be fun.” You gave your best friend a look. “Unless… mama raised a-”
“She didn’t raise a bitch, F/n, nor a pussy. Dare.” You told them, sitting up more.
“Hm, I dare you…” She looked around the club before locking onto someone. “You see that guy over there.” You followed her gaze.
“Which one?”
“The black haired one, the one next to the silver head. I want you to flirt with him. And get his number.”
“Oh, uh, I’m good, thanks.” You said as you leaned back. “That’s Kageyama Tobio, he’s taken.”
“Oh, then… the one next to him.” You looked back at the bar, seeing…
“You want me to flirt with… Daichi?” You asked carefully.
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Y/n… mama didn’t raise a pussy, your words.”
“Fine.” You sighed standing up. “Do you guys want any shots while I’m up there?”
“Sure.” You rolled your eyes walking up to the bar. You got Daichi’s attention as you stood next to him, the bartender looked at you and laughed.
“Friends finally got you out of the house?”
“Eh, more like dragged, but sure.” He laughed getting your drink ready.
“How’ve you been, Y/n? Haven’t seen you much.”
“It’s called having a life, I have work, B/n.” He looked at you placing your drink down.
“Ouch, what do you call what I’m doing?” You looked around laughing.
“Dealing with other people's drama.” You looked at the ladies he was just talking to. “And trying to get laid.”
“Eh, good money.” You rolled your eyes at him. “Party days over?” He prepared your friends' drinks.
“I wish they knew that.” You looked back at your friends. Daichi looked at you before talking to Kageyama.
“Eh, how is work?”
“Good. My mom keeps talking about you. Think she has a crush.” You told him sipping your drink as the boy shivered.
“I’m good. I’ve been talking to someone actually.”
“What! Who? Come on B/n, I want all the details.” You sat down looking at him carefully.
“Well, he is funny and kind.”
“Aw, name. Boo.”
“His name is G/n. He thought I was straight… I recently told him I was bi.”
“Oh. How’d he… take it?”
“Uh, I guess well because I’m supposed to see him tonight after my shift.”
“What! That’s awesome!” You cheered laughing lightly, you pulled out your phone. “Hold on, the group.” He laughed as you checked your phone.
-we told you to flirt with Daichi, not the barkeep.
You turned around flipping them off before turning around again, accidently bumping into someone. “I am so sorry.” You looked up freezing.
“It’s fine. I should’ve watched where I was going.” B/n smirked at you two.
“No, it’s my fault. Uh. Did I spill anything?”
“No, I’m good thanks, uh, I’m Daichi.” You smiled, shaking his hand as he held it out.
“Y/n.” He sat down again before looking at his friends. “You with friends too?” You grabbed your drink looking at him.
“Yeah, uh, old volleyball team. From High School. You?” You pointed to your friends hiding as Daichi followed you.
“Same, friends since high school thing. You still play Volleyball?”
“Uh, not as much. It was fun in High School, you know? We went to nationals.”
“You did? Wow. That’s awesome.”
“Yeah. I guess. Some of the guys still play, you know.”
“Yeah, I get that. I’m… doing the most suckiest things compared to my friends. And I would rather stay at home, but I was dragged out here.”
“Eh, same. Sugawara can be pretty persuasive.”
“Yo. I heard my name. Y/n?”
“Hey Koshi. How are you?”
“I’m good? Are you? Are you sick or something?” You faked laughed at him.
“Very funny.”
“Sorry, just… not used to seeing you out of your house.” You rolled your eyes as he laughed.
“You two… know each other?”
“Suga’s dating my sister.”
“Oh. Cool.” He patted your head before looking at his friends.
“Kageyama, Hinata!” You both laughed when Sugawara ran over to the boys who were arguing.
“Are they always like that?”
“Sadly… since middle school.” You laughed again taking a sip of your drink. “You have a beautiful laugh.” You stopped laughing, smiling with a little blush.
“Thank you. You… are really handsome.” He laughed with you, before you two relaxed into silence.
“Can I… may I ask for your number?”
“Sure.” You pulled out your phone and handed it to him.”
Tumblr media
You sat beside Iwaizumi who sat beside Oikawa, you guys were playing truth or dare doing stupid shit, you guys made Oikawa sing -into the unkown- outside getting him yelled at, telling him to shut up. “See I’m not the only one who thanks you are a terrible singer, Shittykawa.” You laughed into Iwaizumi as he did the same.
“Iwa-Chan!” You chuckled lightly letting your laughter die.
“Okay, Okay. Your turn Oikawa.” He looked at you and smirked.
“Y/n.”
“Oh no.” The group laughed with you.
“Truth or Dare.”
“Um. Dare?”
“Ou, daredevil. I dare you to say something… nice about Iwaizumi.” You looked at him and smiled, he looked down at you giving you a soft one.
“How many, just one thing?”
“Uh, how about five things.”
“Five? Okay.” You turned to him, eyeing him carefully. “Uh, you have beautiful eyes… a nice smile… um, I love that you don’t tease me too much and that you are a good friend. Was that five?”
“Missing one.” Iwaizumi looked at you carefully.
“Uh, I admire your relationship with Oikawa. I mean he annoys the hell out of you, but… you stayed. I admire that.” Oikawa looked at Iwaizumi then you.
“Thank you.”
“You're welcome.” You turned back to the group.
“Truth or dare… Hanamaki.”
“Uh, since everyone is doing Dare. Dare.” You smiled evilly. “Uh, too late to chose truth?”
“Yes, I dare you to make Matsukawa a drink out of anything you want in the kitchen.” Matsukawa looked at his friend watching him get up.
“What did I do to you?”
“Me? Moi? Hm, last week… that comment you made.” Your friend gulped.
“Too late to apologize?”
“Yes.” Hanamaki came back and handed his friend the drink.
“Uh, thanks.” He took a sip before gagging. “That is disgusting.”
“Good. Takahiro, your turn.”
“Okay, oikawa.” Everyone looked at the boy. “Truth or Dare.”
“Dare.”
“I dare you to kiss the prettiest girl in the room.” Oikawa looked at you for a second, everyone knew of your crush on the boy, Iwaizumi watched as you fiddled with your hand. You froze as he kissed the girl next to him, your smile fell. Some cheered while others looked at you with sorrow. Iwaizumi looked down at you again, watching as you looked down at your hands fiddling with them again. He sighed while taking out this phone texting the guy on the other side of Oikawa. He leaned over whispering what Iwaizumi told him to the boy.
“Oya.” Oikawa looked at you for a second, before looking at his friend. “Iwa-Chan.”
“What do you want Trashykawa?” You looked up a little.
“I’m a little curious… Truth or dare?”
“Dare.”
“Hm, I dare you to kiss who you think is the prettiest girl in the room. I’m sure we’re all curious.” Iwaizumi rolled his eyes, your eyes widened as Iwaizumi pinched your chin, making you look up as he kissed you softly. You froze looking over Oikawa. He was shocked but then a smirk formed. You sighed into the kiss, closing your eyes slowly, kissing back. Iwaizumi was going to pull away until you kissed back. You felt your heart beating fast, and felt your body shake. Iwaizumi pulled away, letting out a shaky breath. You sighed trying to catch your breath, before it hit you. You just kissed Iwaizumi. And you liked it. You looked into his eyes and broke into a smile. Iwaizumi did too before looking at his friend.
“Happy?”
“Very.” Iwaizumi knew the smile Oikawa gave him was fake, he wasn’t happy. Not one bit. And that’s what Iwaizumi wanted. You pulled out your phone messaging the boy next to you.
-I… why did you kiss me?
-what do you mean? To me, you are the prettiest girl. I just did what the dare said, and kissed you.
You looked at him before smiling softly.
-I-Do you like me?
-If I asked you on a date, would you say yes? I know I’m not Shittykawa but… I could make you happier than he could.
-Don’t compare yourself to him. I like you the way you are. And yes, it's a yes to the date. If you are asking ….
-I was.
-good

summary: you and kageyama had made many promises to one another, but, perhaps the king doesn’t need a princess after all word count: 2k warnings: none! just a lot of angst pairing: kageyama tobio x fem!reader
you would always remember your first day of middle school. that was the day that you decided your older brother would forever be the bane of your existence. not only had he left you at home without waking you up but, he had also begun his walk without you, leaving you to navigate your way through the bustling streets of japan
with every step you took, you swore that your lungs were about to give out. you still had no idea how tooru did this every day and stayed after school for volleyball practice. maybe you could put shaving cream in his pillow or hide his sports sneakers as revenge for leaving you all alone, but, he had gotten you the coveted manager position for his team, so, that was something he could hold over your head for months to come
so lost in your thoughts of revenge, you didn’t notice that you had slowed down to a nearly crawling speed, causing the person behind you to knock right into your back, sending you flying to the concrete, papers and books scattering all around, getting trampled by the passerby
“i- i’m sorry!”, a small voice cried out, reaching down to lift you off of the ground and awkwardly dust off your shoulder
you giggled and ran a hand through your hair, holding up your hands, “no, it’s okay! i promise.”
judging by his uniform, he was also a first year in middle school and you were certain you had never seen someone look so nervous. maybe he was lost like you were. there was a pale blush on his face, one which only grew deeper when you walked up to him, curiously leaning inward
“what’s your name?”, you hadn’t even noticed how close the two of you were
you had always been a bubbly person, just like your elder brother. personal space had never been a phrase in your vocabulary and it had been fine that way in elementary school, but you supposed it was time for you to mature a little bit. after all, curiosity did kill the cat
backing up, you held out your hand for him to shake, “i’m oikawa y/n! im a first year, too!”
still, the boy said nothing, clearly too frazzled to open his mouth. with a soft laugh, you picked up the books and papers you had dropped, not minding that he didn’t help. when you came back up from the ground, you noticed that he hadn’t moved at all
taking his hand in yours, you began to run in the direction of your middle school, ignoring his surprised gasp and quiet protests. eventually, he relaxed in your grip and ran beside you, instead of letting you drag him around like a ragdoll
quietly, kageyama snuck a glance at your face, feeling the godforsaken blush from earlier creep it’s way back up his neck. you had to have been the prettiest girl he had ever seen in his short lifespan. no, scratch that- you were the prettiest girl anyone could ever see-
he was almost sad when the two of you reached the gate of kitagawa first. your hand quickly untangled itself from his and you turned to him with a wide grin. kageyama swore his heart had never beaten so fast
“i’ll see you later! thanks for running with me.”, before you could turn around, he clutched onto your jacket, effectively stopping you
“k-kageyama tobio.”, he let out a shaky sigh, “that’s my name.”
after that encounter, you became what kageyama tobio would consider to be his closest friend. each day, there would be a pouch of yogurt or a carton of strawberry milk sitting on your desk, a desk specifically chosen by you due to it’s location-right behind kageyama’s head-
you loved to annoy him during class by poking him with your pencil or slipping notes into the hood of his jacket for him to find later. kageyama would never tell you that he kept them all in a small box on his dresser
during his first year, kageyama knew that you were the only reason he stayed on the volleyball team. anytime your brother teased him, you were jumping on his case, pulling his hair and whining for him to not bully your best friend. oikawa would just ruffle your hair and begin to tease you about having a little crush
kageyama didn’t like that. he didn’t like the idea of you having feelings or even a close friendship wth someone that wasn’t him. you were the only person he felt he could go to when he was overwhelmed, the only that would lay with him and watch clouds on the weekends and the only one who would stay in the gym with him until the late hours of the night to toss volleyballs
“hey, yn? you’re still gonna be my best friend in high school, right?”, kageyama had asked as the two of you sat on the gym steps, quietly sipping from your waterbottles
you quirked a brow, wondering where that question had come from, “of course i am, tobio! do you really think i would leave you all alone?”
kageyama went quiet and you worried that you had said something wrong. without thinking, you reached over and grabbed his hand, feeling him tense under your hold. you could have sworn that his cheeks turned bright red as soon as your fingers grazed one another
so, you sat there underneath the moonlight, feeling your heart begin to beat a little bit faster when your best friend intertwined his fingers with yours, slightly squeezing
but, that connection all changed one quiet, fall day in third year. that was the first time a pouch of yogurt didn’t show up on your desk. you had matured a lot since the first day you met kageyama. you weren’t as curious as before and certainly not as naive
you knew that kageyama and you had lost touch and that things weren’t the same as before. after you quit managing for the volleyball team, late night meetings stopped and hanging out together for lunch was pushed aside for extra practice. it was beginning to drive you crazy
to fill the void left by kageyama, you started to hang out more with the other third years, such as kunimi and kindaichi. but after a while, kunimi began to see the lost look in your eyes whenever you glanced towards kageyama’s locker, only to find him missing
but, the lazy boy didn’t have the heart to tell you what had happened to your old best friend. he couldn’t let you know how kageyama screamed at them, how he slammed balls on the court out of frustration, how he had become the king
kunimi knew it was only a matter of time until you found out, though. you had always been smarter than anyone he knew. so, it didn’t surprise him when you arrived at their final game of the season, cheeks painted in their school colors and your old manager jacket on your shoulders
standing at the top of the bleachers, you admired the way kageyama looked in his uniform. he was more mature now from the looks of him but you could tell he still drank his milk and yogurt cartons before every game, judging from the amount of them in the trash can
your heart nearly lept out of your chest when he turned to look up at you, your eyes connecting with his blue ones. you weren’t sure what kageyama was thinking about or if he was even happy to see you there but you were sure his eyes widened just a little bit
after about an hour, the game was in full force and you had been exposed to a side of kageyama you had never seen before. your heart beat faster form the crazed, furious look in his eyes anytime he glanced at his teammates and you couldn’t help but wonder what happened to the boy who was lost on your first day of school
but, the worst was yet to come. when kageyama reaches backward for a set, preparing to score the final point, no one came to receive it. the entire arena was silent, as if everyone was afraid to move and you saw kageyama crack like marble
the game ended after that with a final loss for kitagawa first. you exchanged glances with kunimi, noting the lack of expression in his eyes. you assumed that putting kageyama in his place was enough for him to feel satisfied with how their final season ended
kageyama shoved past his teammates, knocking their shoulders so hard you thought they might fall over. quickly gathering your things, you sprinted down the stairs of the bleachers and towards where you had seen him leave
you skid to a stop when you saw his back, frozen where he stood, fists clenched so tightly he may burst blood vessels. your eyes softened at how tense his shoulders were and you so badly wanted to reach out and help him, but that wasn’t your place anymore
as you took one step forward, kageyama turned to face you, a glaring look in his eyes that made you shiver, “what the hell are you doing here?”
the phrase was a snarl
“i...i wanted to check on you, because-“
“because you feel sorry for me? i don’t need your pity and i don’t want it either!”
running a hand through your hair, you shook your head and glanced up at him, “i don’t pity you. i just wanted to help you...”
kageyama rolled his eyes and chucked the volleyball in his hand at the wall, not even flinching as the sound echoed through the hall. you, however, jolted at the action and took a step back
“what happened to you?”, your voice was barely a whisper
his eyes flared as he turned to face you, “what happened to me? are you serious? what about you, huh? quitting the manager job even though you loved it! you changed everything about who you are!”
you were starting to get angrier; you could feel it in your gut, “i grew up, kageyama! maybe you should try it and stop acting like an arrogant brat!”
kageyama nearly pouted when he heard you call him by his surname. you hadn’t used it for the whole time he knew you. maybe he really had messed everything up this time, but it was too late for apologies now
“i don’t need to explain anything to you! i never even cared about you in the first place! you were always annoying. clinging to my sleeve like some child.”
your eyes were beginning to fill with tears and kageyama felt like he had been punched in the gut when a few rolled down your cheeks. stop it, he told himself. you’re screwing it all up! don’t lost her like this! but he wouldn’t listen, not even to himself
wiping at your eyes with your sleeve, you sniffled then flares up at the boy you used to call your favorite person in the world
“you know what? you’re the king now, great job! you’re the greatest player on the team. but, you’re also the worst human being i’ve met! you care abut no one but yourself and only think about your own future, disregarding everyone else who tries to help you!”
kageyama had never seen you this angry and it terrified him. perhaps, some part of him always thought you would come back to him, sit with him on the gym steps again and count the stars in the sky as he rested his head on your shoulder but that was all gone now
“so im done, kageyama. stay away from me, got it?”
as soon as you turned around, he reached out for you, pulling his arm back as soon as it left his side. why had it had to happen like this? why was he so selfish? if only he had accepted your help, then he still would have had you by his side
maybe he would get another chance one day. if the world allowed him, he would reincarnate as someone who could love you the way you deserved. someone who didn’t push you away, and just maybe... you could love one another again
“hi, im kageyama tobio. it’s nice to meet you.”
“im oikawa yn! it’s nice to meet you too!”

((I love and pimp him. Pimp pimp pimp))
He hears it from Yachi. More like, the team does and Nishinoya and Tanaka are ready to throw some hands.
During practice, Yachi, the sweet girl, poor her; she sees you having an intense argument with two other third years when she comes to refill on water bottles.
She knows you, talking to you a couple of times. You were always a sweet upperclassman, kind and soft to her and the team, even Kageyama and Tsukishima showed you respect in your presence.
But when one of them swung the first punch to your face, you bet she dropped everything and hauled ass to the gym to call over your boyfriend.
Sugawara. Ah, yes, the duality of this man. I would say unpredictable, cause some say he’s the responsible type to stop the fight by finding a teacher and others say he’ll unleash Tanaka and Nishinoya.
I say, he’s the type to KNOW who you are and WHAT you are capable of. Yes, he can join in the fight, but last time he saw you fight someone he was unaware and baffled that you are able to land solid one punch (( WANNA BE SAIKYU HEROOO)) and knock’em out. Nah, he’s the type to collect the aftermath and try to bury the evidence ((What a sweet boyfie <3 ))
“Suga-san! (Y/N)-san i-is in a fight a-and I think they need help!” She screeches, catching the attention of the team members.
“Ah, I’ll be back. Gotta collect the corpses.”
Asahi, Hinata, and Yachi nearly pass out when he says that. “Corpses? (Y/N)-san killed them that quick? And Sugawara is the accessory???”
When he finally reaches you, though he knows you’re capable of standing your ground, he can’t help but worry the bruises and cuts on you. You may be able to keep standing, but that doesn’t mean you can avoid ALL their hits.
When he sees your figure, his fingers dig deep into his palms. “(Y/N)?” He calls out to you. You’re huffing and you straighten your back, turning to face him you smile lovingly to him. “Yes, Darling?”
He may simp for you but that doesn’t mean he can’t lecture you.
Sighing, he crouches to the two fools who decided to provoke you and talks to them in that tone where you can’t speak because you’re scared of what they’re capable of. He says that he’ll be watching them closely and that if they mention their S/O beating them up, not only will they all get suspended but Sugawara will make sure they’ll never face pride or regain their HONOR back. (ayye zuko wassup ?)
Standing up, he looks to you and holds your hands as gingerly as possibly, observing the irritated redness on your knuckles and the splotches of small red bloody dots. His nose scrunches cutely as one hand lets go of yours to cup your face carefully because of the now forming bruise on your pretty face.
Sighing, he smiles, brows furrowed, “Sugar, next time, go easy on them. I don’t want your pretty hands to be so messed up. I love you and I don’t mind bandaging them up and kissing them to make you feel better, but I feel the more you punch the more your hands’ll fall off. Then who am I supposed to hold hands with?”
You can’t help but crack a joke, “Ah yes, losing Daichi and me in the same year, my poor Darling~!” You coo to him.
“You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“Oi!”

Yaku Morisuke x Reader
((Babie,, cat babie ,,, dangerous babiee,,))
While the fiery, third-year, libero of Nekoma dislikes Lev, you absolutely cherish the tall boy and found him cute.
Kuroo makes fun of Yaku saying you should date Lev instead
then you retorted to the rooster head saying that it’ll be weird cause Lev is basically a little brother you’ve always wanted.
One day, after school, while your boyfie was at practice, you were on cleaning duty and overheard some students talking about your two favorite people.
They made fun Lev and then Yaku. They absolutely insulted him for his height and his plays while they made fun of Lev’s intelligence and lack of plays.
And they chose D E A T H
“Hah? Whatcha say?!”
Commence a brawl
You could’ve used the broomstick by breaking it in half and shanking them but you wanted them to know not to die JUST yet.
You were able to leave satisfied yet still pissed. The other students didn’t speak a peep, as to know not to mess with your temper and if they were a snitch, well, snitches get popped.
for the ones who talked smack, you both came to the conclusion to say that you guys were playing too rough with the cleaning supplies
When practice was over, you waited by the gate for your boyfie
Seeing him, you smiled at him and he came up to you, flicking your jaw
“Ow! Love, what was that for? You’re not give your soldier a loving and tender hug for defending you and our child’s honor?” You pouted cutely to him.
His eyes widened a bit,  a pink blush on his face until he squinted his eyes at you. “You got into a fight, again.”
“All in good nature, babe!” You stuck out your tongue to him, surprisingly he stuck out his tongue, to lick you with his own.
“Wha-”
“As much as I love you, you’re lucky that I wasn’t there or I would’ve killed you too to get rid of the evidence.”
“...Aw! You love me so much that you’ll clean my messes, I love you too, Morisuke!”
“...I love you too, you frickin idiot.”

Akaashi Keiji x Reader
(Ayyeee back at it again, Akaashi-kun, how ya doin?)
Akaashi may be a patient man, but this man can hold his patience with a sharp knife and cut it instantly
It was your movie date and while you waited for Akaashi to get popcorn and snacks, your saw one of your best friends.
You went up to say hi until you heard them talk bad about you, saying how Akaashi is only dating you to keep an eye on you or how you’re too naive that they obviously don’t want you cause you’re too clingy
with the cold, freezing, slushie, you ‘accidentally’ trip and spill it all over your now ex-bestie
like your bestie, that two-faced bih doesn’t go down without a fight
so basically this was your break-up fight
As he bandages your hands, you were too nervous to speak to him
You weren’t afraid of anything, not failing, not teachers or authority, nor suspencion
Though, you were very afraid of Akaashi’s silent temper
“Ah, Love-”
Pretty boy looks at you so quick you flinch for the upcoming lecture yet he says nothing which makes it even more scary for what he’ll say
“Are you mad at me?” You ask cutely, pouting and looking through your lashes while your head is down in shame
After a couple of minutes waiting for his answer, he sighs
“Blossom, you know how concerned I get when you get into fights. It...” He looks away, “hurts me to see you hurt...I love you a lot that I’m mad at myself that I wasn’t there to help you.” He confesses with a red tint spreading to the tips of his ears.
Oh dear LORD this man continues to speak heavenly got ME swooning-
“I should’ve known that friend of yours wasn’t true to you...I’m sorry I couldn’t see that. If you want, we can have Kenma pirate the movie and send us the link. Better than going out, right?”
((THIS MAN HAS THE AUDACITY TO SMILE LIKE A FRICKIN GOD AHW I HATE IT HERE))
Your eyes sparkle and you launch to hug him, he lets out s strangled yelp as he falls back onto the bed
Though easy to get into fights, you were easy to cry, as you were emotional to these kinds of things
“AGHAAHHSHI I LOVE YOU I FRICKIN HATE YOU CAUSE YOURE SO PERFECT UWAYWHH” ((omg me))
Chuckling, he buries his head into the crook of your neck, one hand on your side and the other petting your hair
“I love you too, blossom”

Iwaizumi Hajime x Reader
((YEES YES YES YES I  STAN AND I PIMP ,, PIMP PIMP PIMMP)))
((LOOK AT HIM LOOK AT. HIM.))
What a cactus. Don’t we stan?
I stan. I totally stan.
When you get into a fight this man KNOWS he’s most likely gonna watch to see if there is any bih to try to hit you while you’re busy fUCKING UP WITH OTHERS WHO MESSED WITH YA
Iwaizumi is literally the chillest ngl
Will probably join if some CUNT ASS BIH  decides to pull ya hair or pick up some petty stick to beat you with it
((the more i write at 4:30 AM, the more my mind expands to more fight scenarios ohohhhh get ready my friends))
Literally the toughest couple
no cap, no one will mess with you unless they’re tryna get f’d in the a in the most unpleasurable way (omg that rhymes)
Oikawa makes funny and teasing jokes about how you both look so intimidating that you’ll get wrinkles on your faces
“Keep barking, Oikawa, cause I can make sure my kicks can knock off that bitchy attitude <3″
“Why are you and Iwa-chan like this.”
“Lmao get wrecked Trashykawa.”
Sometimes you act like Oikawa’s guard too, the fans know of your rep around school, so they don’t bother Oikawa as much which means Iwaizumi doesn’t have to spike volleyballs at his head so they can head to practice without any distractions ((Though Iwa still does it when Oikawa gets too flirty when thanking you))
Omg I can go forever with Iwa holleeeeemolleee
I feel,, that when he’s bandaging up your face, your cleaning the cuts on his....chest.... n’ biceps,,,oof to be you...
I feel like getting into fights can also count as a date
how fun would that be
talking about your fight date with him in front of other ppl who don’t really know you
I imagine you and iwa-babes talking and you’re like, staring so lovingly at his face and reach to touch the cut above his lip and you’re reminiscing
“Babes, remember when we fought those two losers at the parking lot of a Target?”
“Oh yeah, I remember that. That dickbag got his ass handed to you, nice right hook by the way.”
Then the strangers RUDELY overhearing are like ‘Wth??? is this?? real?? did they actually fight two people?’
You did.
Oikawa posted it.

Semi Eita x Reader
((Grey haired babes hit different, y’know?))
he’ll just be >:|
I can’t say he’ll be mad at you, but more like, concerned that his face looks mad
The same with Akaashi, you’re waiting for him to lecture you, but he’s quiet when he’s...worried,,concerned
You got into a fight because some BIHS from another sports team talked shit about the volleyball team, SPECIFICALLY your boyfie (how convenient for the plot)
You may be smol but you have HELLFIRE
“AYE WANNA SAY IT TO MY FACE MUTHA-”
Long story short,,, you may have won the battle, but you are unsure if the war will reign supreme, by war I mean you’re preparing for Semi’s scolding
Waiting in his dorm room, you played the soundtrack he made for you and patiently waited until he came back from practice
When HE DOES come from practice, he opened the door to see you sleeping on the floor, back against his bed and when he was going to quietly coo at how cute you look, he gets a closer look at the split lip and bruised knuckles
...You have...a tampon shoved up your nose?
“Muse. Bubs.” He cups your cheek, then patting it gently.
When you wake up, you jump back
“BUBs, beh, listen, I, may have done something to someone out of provocation and insults whereas I also defended not only myself-” You wince at he narrows his lovely eyes at you, peering for you to go on (omg you frickin simp)
“I have protected you and your team from their,, falsehoods”
(Why are you talking like that lmao)
He blinks once. twice. going to his bathroom, he gets the first aid kid he ALWAYS had to restock because his babes CANT STOP GETTING INTO FIGHTS so he can patch you up
“I love you, but we can take their idiocy, it’s just your idiocy I’m worried about...” He continues on, then he starts to listen to the music you’re playing
you’re playing one of his playlists he made for you
specifically, “When I’m with You <3″
He becomes flustered and you wonder if HE’S okay
“Sh-Shut up, stupid! Stop getting into fights!”

wishing, wanting, yours for the taking
summary: Kageyama x Reader. blue moons and starry skies
word count: 1.3k
cw: alcohol
a/n: sorry this took so long aaa i went through like five ideas before settling on vespa sightseeing hahah
It’s a rare day that Ali Roma’s Japanese setter goes out drinking with the team. He’s a reserved man (although it’s much easier to talk him into team bonding than it may appear) and a dedicated athlete who subsists almost entirely on a professionally-recommended meal plan. Moreover, Kageyama Tobio is a sleepy drunk. Alcohol doesn’t really help him let loose, doesn’t give him a good time— it just makes him fall asleep on strange surfaces, like bar counters and shopping mall benches and the shoulders of strangers.
It’s on a rare day that you walk into the same venue Ali Roma currently occupies, dressed to the nines for a night out beneath a blue moon. You sit with your friends— he sits with his. You make eye contact with him accidentally but keep looking on purpose. It’s not like he’s diverting his gaze either, anyway.
“What are you looking at?” One of your friends twists to see. “Oh! Oh my God, it’s like a pack of models.” There’s a flurry of movement as the rest of your group looks over at his group.
“They’re hot.”
“No shit, Sherlock!”
“Those aren’t models,” coughs another of your friends. “That’s a pro volleyball team.”
“What?”
“Really?”
“That one’s staring at you,” the person across from you kicks your leg. “You should say hi. What do they call athlete spouses?”
The guy staring at you blows his bangs out of his face. You smile and suck in your cheeks, making a fish face at him. His nostrils flare, his expression otherwise unchanging.
This guy has the worst RBF you’ve ever seen. He’s funny.
“It doesn’t matter,” your friends are arguing among themselves now. “Are you gonna talk to him?”
Your eye is critical as it scans him. Black bangs parted in the middle, a jaw that could cut glass, a tight-fitting white t-shirt. He lifts his drink to his lips, finishing it off.
Huge hands.
“I don’t know,” you shrug, looking away. “He’s hot, but…” You’re not sure what it is about him that’s off-putting. Perhaps it’s the stone-cold expression— one you think is just the sum of his severe features, but is nevertheless potentially just the mark of a mean man.
There’s a roar of laughter from the other side of the room, and as he swings his head towards the commotion, his eyes and ears catching whatever is so funny, his lips twitch violently as he tries to hold back his own amusement for as long as possible. Eventually, the laughter wins, and he ducks his head, his brows drawing down and his eyes scrunching up, bangs falling into his face so his bright, small grin is all the more apparent.
When he looks up, he catches your eye again. His face has softened and his eyes— you can’t tell what color they are from this distance, especially in the darkened room— shine, not unattractively. There are two spots of color high on his cheeks, possibly from alcohol, possibly from the exertion of laughter.
Huh. Cute.
“You know what,” you say, standing. “I am gonna go talk to him.”
Talking to him turns into flirting with him (he didn’t really seem to get that the talking was supposed to be flirting at first) turns into his friends cheering him on as he drinks one last round (his impressive RBF never wavering) turns into him swaying on his feet turns into you guiding him to a bench to sit turns into him falling asleep on your shoulder turns into you waving off his and your friends as they start heading home.
“Who are you?” He blurts, jolting off his feet when he wakes up. You blink up at him lazily. “Where am I?”
“Good morning,” you say, putting down your phone. “Did you have a good nap?”
“Yeah,” he says while you stand, clarity flashing in his eyes now that he’s woken his brain up a little more, those two high spots of color reappearing. “Uh, thank you, um.”
“Your friends called an Uber for you, it should be here in five or ten. I agreed to watch you for a few since they just left.”
“Oh, cool.” He nods, before snapping his eyes— grey with hints of deep blue, you notice— back to you. “Wait, how are you getting home?”
“I have a scooter,” you shrug. “And I didn’t drink all night.”
“Was that ‘cause of me?” He winces and shoves his hands in his pockets. “Sorry for falling asleep on you, by the way, I don’t, uh, I don’t drink often ‘cause it just… does that. And I drank too much too fast because you’re really good-looking and that made me nervous.” He presses his lips into a thin line after those words escape him, like shutting his mouth harder will take them back.
“Not ‘cause of you, I just wanted to drive around a little after hanging out with friends,” you smile softly at him. “No worries. You’re cute.”
He makes a coughing, spluttering noise, but no words come out. You continue smiling pleasantly at him.
“You seem pretty sober now, too. Did you sleep it all off?”
“Yeah, I did, I think,” he mumbles. “Thanks. Again.”
“Of course,” you say, then shiver. He notices, of course, conflict warring in his eyes before he sidles stiffly closer. You eye him, wondering what he’ll do— he has no jacket after all.
He drapes an arm over your shoulders, and oh he’s warm, so you have no trouble pressing yourself closer into his side, pulling on his arm so you’re more fully encapsulated by his body heat.
“Thank you,” you murmur. “Hey, feel free to say no— you’re probably still tired, um— are you sure you want to go home right now?”
He squints at you.
“What’s my other option?” The sensation of his voice rumbling through his chest and into you is a strange, yet not unpleasant one.
“Go driving with me,” you offer, eyes wide and starry. “I have an extra helmet.”
As a kid, Tobio hated sightseeing. While on vacation, he felt his time would be better spent playing in the waves or doing solo volleyball drills (occasionally, he convinced Miwa to help him, but that wasn’t often) than walking through museums full of art he didn’t care to understand or staring at architecture he, frankly, thought was ugly.
As an adult, arms wrapped around a stranger’s waist as you veer around a bend and come to the top of the hill, slowing so that you can take in the sky and the twinkling lights of the city, he thinks that maybe it’s not so bad.
“I’ve never been up here before,” he says when you take off your helmet, shaking your head to free up your slight hathead.
“I love taking the back roads when I’m riding the scooter,” you say confidentially. “It’s probably not the safest, but,” you trail off, gesturing to the view.
“I can see why,” he leans forward, hooking his chin over your shoulder. He can smell your shampoo. He likes it, a lot. “It’s pretty.”
“Yeah.” You can smell his cologne. You like it, a lot.
“Know what else is pretty?”
You laugh and lean forward, shaking him off your shoulder.
“You’re a dork, you know that? Or are you still drunk?”
“Sober as a judge,” he holds up his hands. You can see that small grin again.
“So you’re always this dorky?”
“I don’t know,” he shoots you a teasing look. You lean into him, reaching for his hands and bringing his arms back around you. Confidence blooms in his chest, warming him better than the liquid courage that he’d drunk hours ago ever could. “You wanna find out?”
