Karasuno Manager as Seijoh S/O

Alright here's the Second years. I want to eventually get Watari in here, but I am having a hard time. Not beta'd. Anyways I'll have the first years up next. Also I read this headcannon that Kyotani feeds the stray dogs, and it just stuck with me????

Seijoh: 3rd years

Karasuno: 3rd years, 2nd years, 1st years

Yahaba: Your mom had asked you to bring a cooking book to your cousin, Kindaichi Yutaro. While you go to Karasuno, your cousin goes to Seijoh, meaning it doesn’t take that long for you to get to their school. When you get off the bus and step onto the Seijoh campus, you are immediately at a loss. You turn in a circle hoping that there will magically be an arrow that points to the gym he’s at. Unfortunately there isn’t.

“Do you need help?” A tall boy with brown swishy hair asks as he walks up to you.

“Uh, yeah actually. I’m a little lost. I’m trying to find a gym?” It sounded more like a question.

“You don’t go here do you?” He asks in a gentler tone, only continuing when you nodded. “We have a few different gyms. Is there someone in particular you’re looking for?”

“Um, just my cousin. He’s in the Volleyball Club.”

“Oh me too. Here I can show you the way to the gym.” He was smiling and beckoning you to follow him. “By the way, who's your cousin?”

“Oh, Kindaichi Yutaro. I just have to drop something off for my aunt.”

“Kindaichi?!” He seemed surprised by that.

“Is there something wrong with that? Do you not like him?” You were a little taken back by his tone, but the look on his face said something different.

“Oh, nothing. Nothing. I just wasn’t expecting him to have such a cute cousin.” You spluttered at the compliment. He continued to flirt with you the rest of the way to the gym. You were originally planning on just dropping it off, but were convinced to stay by your cousin. Being able to watch and talk to Yahaba was just a plus. When their practise finished you spend time talking to Yahaba, while waiting for Yu. By the time he was done and ready to walk with you, you had gotten Yahaba’s number. You two ended up talking everyday, hanging out on the weekends, and eventually began dating.

You were curled up with Yahaba on his bed with music in the background, talking about anything and everything. However, today he’s been unusually quiet.

“‘Ru, is everything okay?” HE hummed absently as his fingers danced up and down your arms. “You’ve been awfully quiet ‘Ru. Is there anything you want to talk about?” He stayed silent for a little while longer, before tightening his grip on your arm.

“It’s just that we have a practise game against Karasuno.” He paused, “I guess I'm just nervous, you know from the way things turned out last time. I just-I’m just nervous.”

“Aw babe. It’ll turn out alright in the end.” You paused trying to decide whether to speak your thoughts or not. Finally you decided, “Well if it makes you feel any better I’ll be there.”

“You’re coming, why?”

“Well you see it’s because…” you paused, now realising the weight of the words held hostage on your tongue. Quickly you decided that now was not the best time to tell him that you’re one of Karasuno’s managers. “Kindaichi invited me and I’m going over to his house after to spend time with him and my aunt.”

“Oh that’s good. Makes me feel better about playing.” He smiled and tugged you closer to him, shoving his face into your neck, placing soft kisses and quiet ‘I love you’s’.

You were shaking with nerves, just trying to keep your head about you. Shigeru is not an unreasonable person, he would understand. He wouldn’t be angry, maybe a little upset, definitely confused, but not angry. You were standing next to Kiyoko, when a ball rolled under the net.

“Hey, Cutie-chan, a little help.” You grabbed the ball and turned to your boyfriend with a sigh.

“Does that ever-”

“Y/N!!” Next thing you know you’re flat on your back and staring at the ceiling. ‘Even their ceilings are nice’, you think. Your head starts throbbing and your view of the ceiling is crowded with players from both teams. “Are you okay?”

“You better not be using that line on anyone else ‘Ru.” You said ignoring his question and sitting up. Everyone looked so worried, “Guys I’m fine. You don’t need to crowd me. Finish getting warmed up. I’d like to talk to ‘Ru anyway.”

“Who?” Kidaichi asked.

“Him. My boyfriend.” You said pointing to your boyfriend. Kindiachi looked pissed, but walked away with everyone else anyway.

“Baby, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for you to get hit.” You laughed.

“It’s fine, just surprised is all.”

“Why are you wearing their colours?” He asked helpling you stand up and pulling at your track clothes.

“Uh, well you see, I’m their manager. It’s a new development, and knowing how you feel about my team, I didn’t feel like I could tell you. I’m sorry.” You looked down feeling guilty.

“Baby, it’s alright. I’m not mad.” He pauses, “Are you still going to cheer for me?”

“Of course babe.” You said cupping his face and pulling him into a kiss. “I’m staying the night at Yu’s, so we can do something tomorrow, yeah?

“Yeah and we can talk more about this manager thing. I’ve got to go though. Are you sure you’re okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine. Now go! I love you. I’ll cheer for you.” You stood letting him give you one last once over to really make sure you're okay.

Don’t worry though, you’re the only one who he uses that line on.

Kyotani: You spend time volunteering at the animal shelter. You mostly spent time with the dogs, particularly feeding and playing with them. One day you saw another kid there, a boy, around your age. He was heading into a kennel with a particularly tough dog that you haven’t been able to get close to. You watched him go in without fear, despite the snarls and growls coming from the dog. You stopped and watched impressed. The next few times you went to the animal shelter, this boy was there.

This last time you went, you were trying to feed this one dog, and he snapped at you. You jerked your hand back, barely getting grazed by the dog’s sharp canines. The dog lunged again, and you backed into the wall. Your hand was groping behind you trying to find the door, when you were yanked up and just out of the reach of the dog. The dog had decided to lunge, and you had just been saved. The boy who saved you, grabbed the dog by the nape of the neck and had a stare down. The dog finally looked away, meaning that this strange boy is the alpha. He quickly closed the door and turned to you, who’s still sitting on the ground.

When he turned, you really got a good look at him. He has blond hair, with two brown stripes wrapping around his head. His eyes can only be described as intense, but show passion and care.

“Are you okay?” He asked, holding his hand out. You stared at him confused. “Your hand.”

“O-oh.” Is all you could manage, sticking it out as he kneeled down. The dog had grazed you with its teeth leaving a scratch behind.

“Come on. We’ll get this cleaned.” He gripped your hand and hauled you up. He led you to the office and pushed you to sit on the desk. You watched as he got the first aid kit. He gently grabbed your arm, cleaned, and bandaged the scratch.

“Thank you.” You broke the silence, “Um, can I get a name to go with the face that saved me?”

“Kyotani.” He grunted.

“I’m Y/n.” You two didn’t talk anymore that day. As the two of you saw each other more and more eventually you considered him a friend. He finally confessed to you. It was awkward, and it took him ten minutes to get it out. You almost wanted to end his misery, but you thought he looked really cute blushing and stuttering, so you waited. And now you’re dating.

“How was school today?” When the words finished leaving your mouth, his arms tightened and he shoved his face further into your neck. He mumbled incoherently, but you understood the gist of it. “It couldn’t have been that bad?”

“I don't know what it is, but Oikawa just gets on my nerves. Thankfully, Iwaizumi is there to help reign him in.” He sighed pulling his head from your neck, “I’m just glad I’m with you now.” You giggled reaching behind you to cup the back of his head.

“And yet you still play.” You paused, lowering your hand and turning around. “I think you like them more than you let on.” He practically growled at being called out, but you just laughed. You pulled him with you to the couch to cuddle. You two were sitting in silence when he broke it.

“We have a game against Karasuno next week, and, well I’d really like for you, you don’t have to if you don’t want, I don’t want you to feel pressured-” You covered his mouth with one hand, intertwining your fingers with the other.

“I’d love to go. You don’t need to worry so much. Are you excited?” He began to grumble about how much he hates Karasuno, practically spitting the name everytime he says it. With the way he was talking, you know he’d be upset. An upset Kentaro is a pouty clingy boy, but not one that yells and fights. Thankfully you two don’t really fight, he knows how abrasive he can be, and tries to be the absolute opposite with you. He knows when to be gentle, and always is with you. He refuses to yell or be mean when there’s a disagreement. You felt a little guilty about not telling him you’re Karasuno’s manager, but you figured he’d find out soon enough.

You were one of the first ones in the gym, and as soon as you cleared the doorway, you were pulled back by Tanaka. A rather powerful ball landed right in the spot you were just standing in.

“Ahhh!” You yelped, everyone turned towards you. “Oh my, Tanaka! Thank you so-” You were silenced as a low growl sounded, and you were yanked away.

“I told you to apologise! Not assault the poor girl!” Number 4 shouted heading your way. You laughed as Kentaro shoved his face into your neck to hide his blush.

“Iwaizumi?” You questioned, raising your eyebrow when number 4 nodded. “Thought so. Don’t worry, I’m fine. He’s just a little jealous.” You cooed. Iwa stopped in his tracks, confused. “Let me introduce myself, I’m Y/N, ‘Taro’s S/o.” He grumbled pulling himself away from your neck.

“You didn’t tell me.”

“You hate my team, don't want you to hate me or be upset.”

“I’d never hate you.” You smiled and pressed a kiss to his cheek.

“Good, ‘cause this would be awkward,” you paused, “Okay now I’ll stop embarrassing you, but you have to play your best. That way when we kick your ass, my bragging rights will feel even better.” He flicked your forehead and headed to his side of the net, waiting for his bragging rights.

a/n: okay so i used Terushima (our lovable f-boy) in Tsukki’s hc, but changed it up for the rest of them. i also made it so that you weren’t their s/o yet, but there are def feelings involved! hope this is ok!!

Tsukishima:

the Karasuno boys were getting restless waiting outside for their beloved manager by the bus

and it’s not that Tsukki was super worried… but you’d been missing for a little while now

you weren’t answering his phone calls and Tsukki had a sneaking suspicion that something was wrong

“What’d you do this time, y/n…” he sighs under his breath, making his way back to the gym

he starts his search where he last spotted you, but there’s nobody there

Tsukishima is slightly concerned now, listening out for any voices or noises in case it had anything to do with you

when he reaches the hallway, he recognizes the echo of your voice

“-not interested and I need to find my team, sorry!” your nervous response directed at a bleach-blonde volleyball player… with piercings?

“Come onnn, babe. I just want your number!” Terushima’s hand his now by your head, your back pushed up against the wall

“Oye, back off, asshole.” Tsukki’s voice rings out, still walking his way over to you

Teru only briefly glances at him then immediately turns his attention back to you, stepping closer

you have a panicked look on your face and for the first time in a while, Tsukishima’s chest tightens in empathy which morphs into a muted fury

“I said get off of her.” Tsukki’s hand is on Terushima’s shoulder now, pushing him away from you

“Jeez, okay bro.” Teru responds with a smirk, throwing his hands up, “I was leaving now, anyway.”

as soon as he’s gone you can finally breathe again

Tsukki turns to ask if you’re okay, but before he gets a word out, your arms are around his back

“Thank you, Tsukki. I’m so sorry you had to see that.”

the shock of your touch fades a little and he slowly wraps his arms around you, a barely noticeable flush on his face

“Stop going off on your own, stupid… and don’t be sorry. You didn’t do anything wrong.”

Oikawa:

it was 30 minutes into practice at the Seijoh school gym and you were a no show

which is incredibly unusual considering you usually arrived before the rest of the team (besides maybe Oikawa, who’s already warmed up)

Oikawa checks with the entire team, asking them if they’d noticed you on their way inside or if you’d said anything about missing practice, but no one has seen or heard from you

luckily, Oikawa keeps tabs on his team, which includes you since you’re their manager (and he kinda-sorta likes you a lot)

so he takes a short break, quickly making his way to your usual hangout spots and checking around corners

it takes him a moment to soak it in, but there are two guys cornering you near your locker

he knows, in most cases, you can handle things by yourself… but this feels so wrong

you’re clearly uncomfortable, uninterested… and once he catches you eye, he can tell you’re scared

before he knows it, Oikawa has already grabbed one of them by the shirt and shoved them away from you

“What the hell is your problem??” he shouts, “Get away from her.”

Oikawa is literally seething at this point, hand gripping even tighter on the boys shirt, threatening to tear the fabric

his friend recognizes Oikawa and knows that the whole school would find out about this if they didn’t leave soon

so they both take off down the halls

he turns around, grasping your hands firmly

“Are you okay, y/n? Are you hurt?”

“I... I’ll be okay.” but he feels you shaking

“Let’s just get out of here then. I’m gonna take you out for a few to get some fresh air if you’re okay with that?” he gently tugs you toward him

“...Yeah. Please.”

this will be the first time he’s missed a practice in years (but he’ll make up for it later in the week)

and right now, his main priority is you. making sure you’re okay and that you can recover peacefully... preferably with an ice cream cone or a cold drink in hand

Iwaizumi:

you and Iwa have shared several classes together over the years and happened to sit next to each other for most of them

so it really isn’t a surprise that y’all have gotten pretty close

he’s actually the reason you became the Seijoh manager in the first place since he’d been complaining to you about how unorganized things were getting on the team without one

unfortunately, being the manager doesn’t just revolve around caring for individual teammates… it also means you have to keep up with their dirty laundry sorry hun

Iwa, since he did drag you into this mess, normally offers to help take the jerseys and clothing to the laundromat with you

you usually refuse his offer, but for some reason, you let him join you this time around

you and Iwa bring in the first batch of clothing, greeting the laundromat owner, and get everything started

“I’ll head out to the car for the next basket, Iwa!” you tap his shoulder, letting him know where you’re going

“Okay, I’ll be here. Lemme know if you need help.”

he waits a while, but when you don’t return Iwaizumi lets a slight panic set in, hurrying outside to check on you

“Y/n are y-” he stops talking when he notices an absolute sleezebag hitting on you in the parking lot

the stranger is reaching out to grab your arm, but not before a fist collides with the man’s face

Iwaizumi knocks the man to the ground. his fist curl back, fingers digging into his palms, ready to swing at him again

“Get your filthy hands away from her.” he growls out

this sends the creep running, shock setting into your body

and you look over to notice just how tense Iwaizumi’s body is

you gently grasp his wrist with your shaking hands

“You shouldn’t have to come out here by yourself, y/n. I’m coming with you next time.” he says, and you notice a flash of guilt in his eyes as he turns toward you

you just pull him into a hug, releasing your own fear and calming the both of you down

Ushijima:

all of Shiratorizawa’s volleyball team is indebted to you

you’ve traveled with them to every single game, you’ve dealt with so many strange players, and above all, you’ve brought them together, completing their team

so it’s no wonder they hang out with you outside of their volleyball obligations, bc fr they all love you so much and you bring them some much needed normalcy

when you suggest heading to the beach for a day trip, they’re all on board. even Ushijima

you and Ushi usually end up sitting together on the way to any practice games or tournaments so you can plan and prepare together

so you both naturally sit next to each other… but it’s super casual and the conversation is actually fun and chill. relaxed Ushijima is such a nice change of pace

when you all arrive, everyone splits separate ways to get changed

but as you leave the changing room, all cute and beach ready, there’s a guy leaning near the door, outside

“Hey sweetheart, you need some help with that?” he smirks pointing at the sunscreen in your hand

“Uh… no thanks.” you say, starting to squirm under his stare

you attempt to walk away, but he just follows you, so you move faster

Ushijima spots you, noticing that your movements are a bit frantic, so he approaches you

as Ushi finally reaches you, the man runs into him and stumbles backward into the sand, Ushjima’s frame blocking him from you entirely

“Y/n, is he bothering you?” his eyebrows furrowing, looking at you with a tinge of concern

“Because… he really shouldn’t be.” A stone-cold glare overtaking his features

“No, I’m just leaving actually.” The man dusts the sand off his legs and walks away, annoyance (and fear) etched onto his face

you turn to the tall, incredibly attractive ace and thank him profusely, apologizing for the situation

OIKAWA:

as soon as the game was over, you saw it in his eyes how broken he was. even if he was giving out smiles and waves to his teammates and his fans, you knew it was all pretend. after you were done helping karasuno pack up their things, you told them you would be heading home with tooru. you waited a bit to see him, knowing he's probably having a pep-talk with his coach and his teammates.

when you saw the familiar white and teal jackets, you tried to spot the mop of brown locks, but to no avail. instead, iwaizumi came up to you with sadness in his eyes, his head hanging low. you gave him a comforting hug, while he told you that your boyfriend was still in the locker room getting changed.

you nodded a thanks before walking in the direction iwaizumi pointed you to, your heart racing at the thought of seeing your boyfriend being upset. when you walked through the double doors, you peeked around the corner to see oikawa sitting on the bench, a white towel hanging around his neck with his head leaned back, eyes closed.

you wearily walked up to him, your heart dropping when you saw a few tears travel down his handsome face. when he opened them, he jumped a little bit at seeing you, quickly wiping the wetness off his cheek as if nothing happened.

"y/n-chan! did you see me out there? i did pretty good right?" he feigned happiness.

you gave him a small frown as you sat next to him, hand grasping his shaking one. "you don't have to pretend in front of me, tooru. it's okay to cry and be upset."

"what do you mean? i'm not upset, i'm great! no need to worry about me," your heart broke when he gave you the fakest smile.

"babe..." you started, gently cupping his face so your eyes bore into his sad ones, "it's okay."

as soon as you ended your sentence, the setter's lips trembled as he leaned forward and placed his head in the crook of your neck, your arms quick to wrap around his shaking shoulders. he let out quiet sobs, salty tears staining your shirt and skin. but you didn't care, you just wanted to be there for him.

you started to caress his back, cooing reassurance and letting him grasp onto you tightly. "tooru..." he let out a hiccup, "look at me baby."

he pulled away slightly, your chest aching at the sight of the love of your life with tears filled in his chocolate brown eyes. he sniffled slightly while you brought your thumbs to wipe away the stray tears.

"i want you to know you did absolutely amazing out there. i know this game was important to you, but do not let this define your abilities as a player. it's okay to lose, it's okay to cry," you leaned forward to plant a soft kiss on his tear-stained cheek, "it's okay to be angry. just know that you have so many people around you that love and support you."

oikawa sniffled again, a small smile replacing the frown on his lips. he didn't say anything, only leaning forward to place his forehead against yours.

"i love you, tooru. you'll always be my number one," you said, pressing your lips against his for a quick kiss.

you pulled away to engulf him in one last tight hug, combing your fingers through his soft locks.

"thank you, i don't know what i would do without you, my love. i love you so much," the pretty setter mumbled into the crook of your neck. you hummed as a response, staying with him a little longer before deciding to head home.

IWAIZUMI:

hajime was angry. angry at himself for letting the team down, angry at not being able to catch up with karasuno's spikes, angry at the universe for not letting his team gain a chance at nationals. he hid all of those emotions though, the pressure of being the strong, stable pillar of the team clouding his thoughts and pushing his emotions aside.

but you knew him better than that.

the ride home was silent, your hands gripping the steering wheel as the ravenette leaned his head against the passenger side window, staring out in his own little world of self pity. you glanced at him for a split second, a frown creeping onto your face at how you could practically feel the chaos of emotions radiating off of him.

when you both got to your house, you immediately went up to your room, hajime trailing closely behind you. the silence overall was heavy, neither of you knowing what to say after what happened in today's game. you wanted to say some type of reassurance. but knowing him, that's not what he needed right now.

he sat himself down on the edge of your bed while you shut your door, then walking over to stand in front of him. his head was hanging low, legs spread in order for you to stand near him. you didn't know what to say, the only thing you did was reach a hand to comb through his spiky brown hair.

that did something, since he tugged at the bottom of your shirt to pull you closer to him. his head was resting against your stomach now, your hands still running through his hair as an attempt to reassure him.

"haji..." you tried to speak but were given a grunt in response. you stifled a laugh at his response, opening your mouth before you felt his biceps wrap around your waist and leaned back, pulling you on top of him as he fell back against your bed.

you let out a squeak, your eyes staring in his olive-green ones with surprise. your gaze softened, tracing his handsome features with your fingertips. he felt a blush creep up to his neck and face, doing his best to avoid your reassuring gaze but failing.

you leaned down to press a kiss to his soft lips, then moving to press kisses against his cheeks, his nose, his eyelids, his forehead.

you pulled away once again, "i know reassuring words aren't what you need right now, but i hope you realize that you kicked ass today, despite the outcome."

your boyfriend let out a heavy sigh, "i just... i feel like i let everyone down. i gave my all in that game, and it wasn't enough."

you took in his response for a minute, your brain wracking with the right words to say. "i can 100% guarantee you that you didn't let a single person down, haji. you're going to have games you win and you're going to have games you lose. and if you lose, the best thing to do is get back up on your feet and move on. but you'll have support the entire way. i'll support you all the way, even if i'm the manager for the opposite team."

when you saw the look he was giving you, you panicked, "shit, was that not okay? i'm sorry i was only trying to-"

you were interrupted when you felt slightly chapped lips meet your own, moving gently against each other, beefy arms pulling you impossibly closer to his chest.

when you both pulled away, hajime hid his face in your neck before mumbling, "was just what i needed to hear."

you smiled.

"i love you, hajime."

"i love you too, doll."

MATSUKAWA:

after celebrating your victory with karasuno's volleyball team, you had received a text from issei asking when you'd head over to his place. it was hard being a manager for your boyfriend's competitor, but you both were mature enough to not let it get in between your guy's relationship. you mentioned to some of the team that you'd be heading out for the night, most of them giving you knowing glances.

you texted your boyfriend saying you were on your way, a little bit of anxiety making its way into your head and heart. you had no idea what you were going to say to him. you were torn, part of your loyalty being to karasuno, but the other part being towards your boyfriend and his team. issei was very understanding about the whole thing, but that didn't mean you didn't feel bad.

when you finally arrived, issei was already standing outside with a blank expression, hands crossed against his chest as he watched you climb out of your vehicle. when you locked eyes with him, you gave him a small smile, reaching out to pull him into a hug once you got near him. you let out a sigh of relief when he hugged you back tighter than usual. you felt him press a kiss against your head before leading you into his house.

the living room tv was on, you assumed he had been waiting out here for you to come over. he plopped down on the couch, patting the seat next to him. the silence he was giving you was making you feel uneasy. usually you'd both be going back and forth with playful banter, but today he was silent.

you understood why, but it scared you. you didn't want to be the person that picked sides, you wanted everyone to be happy in the end. sometimes life is a pain in the ass.

the middle blocker opened his arms, motioning you to cuddle with him while some random show played in the background. you leaned your head on his shoulder, legs thrown across his lap as he caressed them, your own fiddling with his thick fingers.

"somethin' on your mind, doll?"

you jumped a little bit as he spoke, turning to him with wide eyes. "uh-um, not really... how about you?"

he looked away from you for a minute, reaching for your hand as he was pulled into deep thought. you always thought it was attractive when he was thinking, thick eyebrows scrunched together, bottom lip pulled by his top teeth as he stared off into space.

he finally sucked in a breath to speak, "i... i wish we won that game, that's all."

you let out a sigh, turning your body so it was facing his. you grabbed one of his hands in yours, feeling the callouses from years of blocking volleyballs. you opened and closed your mouth multiple times, words escaping you. you didn't want to pick sides.

"i know what you're thinking," you turned to him in slight surprise, "i'm not trying to make you pick sides. i know how difficult it is for you. i'm just sad is all, and i just want you here with me."

"i know... i want to be able to support both you and my team. for what it's worth, you did amazing out there today. you even got hinata to hate your blocks," you joked.

he let out a slight chuckle, pulling you so you were laying in his lap, fingers absentmindedly stroking your hair.

"i'm sorry you guys lost today," you pouted up at him.

"'s okay, baby. hey, maybe this is a sign for you to finally be a spy for us," he smirked down at you, a playful glint in his eye.

you rolled your eyes at him, "not a chance 'sei."

"pretty please?"

"issei..."

"fine..."

HANAMAKI:

makki was never really fond of you being karasuno's manager. he loves you, don't get him wrong, but it was hard whenever one or the other suffered a loss. especially when it was his team this time.

he watched you from the other side of the court as you cheered for your team, a bright smile adorning your pretty face. he hated this feeling, but he couldn't control who you were or weren't a manager for.

once it was time to clean up, you bid goodbye to your team before scoping out the area to try to spot a certain pink-haired male. you thought back to his face when he realized oikawa missed the last receive, blood draining from his face. you wanted to be sad with your whole being, but you couldn't when your whole team was cheering around you. your heart clenched sadly.

you finally spotted your boyfriend walking out with the rest of seijoh, all of them sporting frowns and tearful gazes. some of them gave you sad smiles, a couple looked at you with disdain, but the look your boyfriend gave you was the worst.

you had never seen him look so defeated.

you stood in front of the wing spiker, pulling his nimble hands into yours. his head was hanging, hiding his gaze from you. you ducked down a bit to try to meet his eyes, but with no luck.

you sucked in a deep breath, "do you wanna go somewhere and talk about it?"

he nodded his head, causing you to pull him outside to find somewhere private to comfort him. once you found a safe spot from people's line of view, that's when he broke down.

he pulled you into a suffocating hug, your arms quick to wrap around his waist. sobs wracked through his body, making your own shake. you felt your own tears well up in your eyes, never have you seen your boyfriend be so upset. he had every right to be, though.

you tried your best to calm him down, shushing him gently as you rubbed your hands up and down his back. "i want you to listen to me, hiro."

his sobs had quieted down a bit, all you heard was shaking breaths and tearful sniffles. "just because i'm on a different team, doesn't mean i don't support you nonetheless. you all did fantastic. your spikes were well done, the receives were perfect, and you guys killed it. i know it hurts now, but i'm always going to support you and the others, no matter the outcome."

you felt him pull away from you, your heart breaking at the sight of his watery gaze meeting your own, trying his hardest to stop his lips from trembling.

"oh...hiro," you pulled him back into a bone crushing hug, not caring in the slightest that you had a little bit of trouble breathing.

after a few more minutes of comforting him, you knew that his team was probably looking for him. you pried his hands off of you only to hold them in your soft ones. you leaned up to press a gentle kiss on his lips, tasting the saltiness from his tears.

"i'll come over later and we can hangout okay?"

he nodded his head at you, mumbling a small "okay" before kissing your forehead. you both walked to his bus hand in hand, kissing him goodbye before mumbling "i love you's".

-SUNSHINE BOY (i went crazy for this one i’m so sorry)

-you were sugawara’s old middle school penpal which turned online friend

-so obviously you’d heard about his volleyball team and the new first year star players

-and one thing led to another where he introduced you to hinata

-actually you were facetiming suga and you saw hinata and told your old friend you thought the tangerine boy was cute and then koushi “accidentally” put you in a gc together

-you and hinata have been dating for about four months

-you’ve heard everything to a t, including small little remarks from tsukishima to every toss, kill, and miss your boyfriend and kageyama managed

-side note but it’s so cute this boy is so whipped for you if you don’t respond for a certain amount of time he’ll find some dumb excuse to talk to suga just so he can shift the convo to making sure you’re safe

-anyway

-so you’re going to meet suga finally

-like FINALLY you’re so excited

-but you’re also boutta see your boyfriend!!!!!!

-buuuuuuuuuut your boyfriend didn’t know

-so it’s safe to say you were a little nervous about it

-you made suga swear up and down that he wouldn’t tell any of his teammates that you specifically were coming, but he did ask to make sure it was okay to have a semi open practice

-so you’re standing outside the volleyball gym with sugawara, backpack with hinatas favorite snacks over your shoulder. practice had already started so suga was late, but he still stood outside with you and let you prepare yourself

-you felt like you were about to throw up even though that’s shoyo’s thing

-suga walks in before you and you follow shortly after, holding in a sharp breath.

-there he was. standing on the other side of the gym, talking to who you knew as kageyama

-he hadn’t seen you yet, but other member of karasuno had

-”yoo who’s this hottie” bald, flirtatious, you had to assume its tanaka

-hinata was in the middle of jumping for a spike when he saw you, and he froze and fell to the ground, stumbling to keep his balance

-the gym got quiet at the tangerines reaction, but he was just staring at you.

-and then he was doing that “woosh” run he always told you about and before you knew it his arms were around your waist and his head was buried in your shoulder.

-everyone (literally EVERYONE) was looking at you two but you just laughed and placed a hand in his hair (which, holy fuck, is soft)

-you mouthed an apology to suga and he shrugged you off, and focused your attention back on the boy in front of you

he pulled back just enough to look at you, leaving his hands to rest on your back. his eyes were filled with tears (cute) and he offered you a smile.

“you’re here” his voice was quiet, for once, but it didn’t have any lag this time. and it was so fucking beautiful.

“i’m here.” you nodded, eyes scanning the features of his face. he chuckled lightly, a tear falling to his cheek as he shook his head.

“you’re so pretty.” his voice was watery and he moved his head back in your shoulder before you could utter a compliment back.

-he stayed attached to you for like minutes okay and this man completely ignored the teasing of his classmates.

-eventually you tried to pull him off you so he could get on with practice (and so you could watch him practice) but he refused to get off

-”bubs. babe. honey. you gotta get up”

1st Years S/O as Seijoh Manager

A/N: Okay here's the last part. I hope you enjoy the series. This was a fun one to write. I wanted to see how they would react to not knowing their S/O is the Seijoh manager.

Tsukishima: You were his neighbor and would come over to be babysat by Akiteru. You always had so much fun with him, and had just as quick a wit. You two would sit there and snark each other to no end. One day you were sitting in his room, music on low listening to him complain about Hinata and Kageyama. You had stopped paying attention a while ago, instead just sitting there staring at him.

“Ow!” You whined rubbing your forehead. “Why did you flick me?”

“You weren’t paying attention.” He said.

“Sorry. It’s your fault though. You’re too hot, but it’s a wonder I like you with the way you treat me.” You huffed freezing as you realised what you said.

“I like you too, dumbass.” He sighed with a smirk. And now you two are dating. Now you went to Seijoh, which meant you didn’t get to see Kei as much as you wanted, but after school and practise he often helped you with your schoolwork. You sighed and flopped onto his bed with a sigh.

“What?” He asked not looking up.

“I can’t focus anymore. Come take a break with me.”

“No.”

“Please? Why do you hate me?” You asked pouting.

“Fine.” He came over and laid down with you, relishing in the way your hand carded through his hair. He began to tell you about his day, and as he was in the middle of telling you about his class, he trailed off. When you looked down, you found him asleep. You smiled and let him rest knowing how badly he needed it.

The Seijoh Coach said that at the end of the week they would be playing against Karasuno. You waited for Kei to say something, maybe even invite you to the game, but he never did. When the day of the game came, you were sitting on the bench waiting for warmups to finish when you felt a tap on your shoulder. When you turned around you found your boyfriend towering over you. You could tell he was upset, so you grabbed his hand and led him into an empty hallway.

“Why didn’t you say anything?” He asked, staring you down.

“Why didn’t you invite me?” You shot back. You watched him look away as a light blush dusted his cheeks. “If you invited me, I would have told you.”

“And you should have told me regardless.”

“What? And ruin the surprise?” You asked sarcastically, “I would never want to miss a chance to see your cheeks turn this pink.” You lightly pinched his cheeks, and he scoffed, swatting your hand away.

“Shutup Brat.” He said, flicking your forehead. You giggled grabbing his hand placing kisses on each of his fingertips. “What are you doing?” He asked watching you grab his other hand to do the same.

“I’m giving you good luck kisses.” You beamed up at him.

“Yeah well you missed a spot.” He said failing to look smug as his face got redder. Your brows furrowed in confusion as to where you missed.

“I’m pretty sure I got all ten of your fingers, unless you have an eleventh finger you're keeping a secret.”

“Here.” He said pointing to his lips, with a pout.

“Aw, come here you big baby.” You pulled him down and kissed his lips. When you pulled away, you giggled and poked his cheek. “Are you ready to go back or do you need a minute to stop blushing?”

“Shutup!” He groaned, flicking your forehead once again. When you got back in the gym, you went your separate ways, but Kei decided that he was going to get his good luck kisses before every game. Even though he grumbled about it.

Kageyama: This poor baby, he’s so awkward it’s honestly a miracle you two get together. You knew him from Kitagawa First, but you ended up going to Seijoh. You kept in contact with him. After graduation you confessed, and at first he didn’t believe you. So as you were almost tears from rejection before it clicked in his thick skull that you were being honest. So you started dating, and you completely understood how dedicated he was to his volleyball club. You could see the potential, and were there to support him every step of the way. Therefore when you stepped up as a manager for the Seijoh volleyball club, you didn’t say anything. You were so thankful for your team, and they were for you as well, it’d been so long since they had a manager, and they all knew you. You were sitting at his desk, while he laid on his bed setting the ball to himself.

“We have a practise game next week.” He said not looking at you.

“That’s great! With who?” You asked, turning to him, your curiosity piqued.

“Seijoh.” He looked almost disgusted. “They’ve requested me to be the official setter.”

“Really?” You were surprised, “Why?” He just shrugged and turned on his side. “Well, how do you feel about playing them?” You stood walking to sit on the edge of his bed.

“I don’t know. I’m worried. I don’t really want to see any of them, especially after how things turned out last time.” He paused, grabbing your hand, “but we’re gonna beat them!” He’s determined. You smiled and gave his hand a squeeze, but said nothing. You knew he wouldn’t take you managing them lightly, and didn’t want to distract him before the game. It was just really hard for him to look past everything with Oikawa, and you understood. However, no one on your team knew that you were dating Kageyama, so it goes both ways. Just hearing about the practise game, sent your anxiety into overdrive. For the next week, you didn’t sleep well, and as the game got closer your heart rate skyrocketed, and your hands were shaking.

“Why do you keep looking at the door?” Kunimi asked.

“Just waiting for the other team to get here.” You said, tearing your eyes away from the door. You were saved from any further questions or suspicions, when the other team arrived.

“Thank you for the game!” Was heard from the doorway, and without looking over there, you got into your bag and pulled out a yogurt drink and a meat bun. You could feel the stares of not only your team but the Karasuno team as well, as you made your way to the other side of the court.

“Tobio.” You called softly not wanting to startle him. He turned, surprised to hear your voice. “Hey Babe.” You watched his eyes widen as he realised it was in fact you. A short red haired kid was standing not too far away, very obviously eavesdropping.

“Uh h-hey. What are you doing here?” His face was red and it was difficult to meet your eye. “Why are you dressed like that?”

“Well, I uh-I brought you a yogurt drink and meat bun, for after of course.” You rushed out the last part, but your face fell when he just stared at you straight faced. “I just thought you’d like it. Sorry.” You started to pull your hands back, thinking he didn’t want them.

“No!” He grabbed your wrists, pulling them back to him. “I like it. Thank you.” He was embarrassed, not used to displays such as this in front of people he knows. “But uh- the track suit.”

“Oh, right! I’m the manager.” You cringed as it came out of your mouth, and you couldn’t meet his eye. You didn’t want to see the disappointment or anger, you honestly weren’t sure how he was going to act.

“Oh.” He paused, linking your pinkies, “Now you can help me practise and improve.” You looked up at him and saw him smiling. Behind him you could hear his team blanch at the display of emotion.

“I would love to.” You gave his pinky a quick squeeze. “I gotta go. I’ll see you after, though yeah?” He nodded, and only let go when you were too far. You chose to keep your head down so no one would see the blush spread down your neck.

you’re not really sure why you’re so scared and nervous. you just are? it’s a huge part of who you are and it’d be a big bummer if the most important boys in your life didn’t accept it.

so you’re a 3rd year manager, meaning you’ve been with these boys a while now, specifically the third years of the team, so y’all are pretty close.

how they find out: it’s like 3am on a weekend, the seijoh 4 and some of the second years. you’d baked a cake with like all of them all at once in the kitchen, so it was now a mess, so you’re attempting to clean it up as fast as you can the way you know best — with your hands and your mind. makki walks in, high as shit, sees this and just.

“damn must be the weed.”

you don’t hear him. so. uh oh.

he was probably sent there by iwa to get water or something, so iwaizumi walks in and just yells so loud “what the fuck!”

it’s like they’re all summoned by this. they eventually all pile into the kitchen and you’re literally just frozen in fear with pots and pans and utensils and specks of flour hovering by you. and then you maintain eye contact with iwa as you lift one hand and direct the pans into a cupboard and slowly shut it.

“so it’s not the weed?”

it’s like an added feature of yours that they appreciate.

oikawa asks you to read his mind to test if what happened that night was real and you just lift him up from off his seat.

Seijoh x Reader - Sleepover Headcanons

a/n: the next team in my soft team sleepover series is Aoba Johsai! :,)) this one gave me so many feels. enjoy many hugs, sweet gestures, and fluffy feels @ a sleepover with our beloved, turquoise-wearing boys

you’d been managing the Aoba Johsai volleyball team since you were a 1st year, so you’ve had the pleasure (and horror) of getting super close with the Seijoh boys

back in the day, Iwa and Oikawa shared several classes with you & had somehow convinced you that you would be a perfect manager for their hectic team

and you actually believed them :O

but it was SO worth it. you have so many terrifying photos and videos, a nickname for each of the boys, and you’ve received hugs every school day since you started working w/ them

however, now that you’re a 3rd year, you’ve been searching for a way to show your care for the team before you inevitably part with them

which is heartbreaking to say the least… but you’ve figured out a way to leave them on a sweeter note

a ★Goodbye I Love You All So Much★ sleepover at your house

you’ve got stacks of DVD’s out on your coffee table instead of using N*tflix just to make Hanamaki and Kunimi mad

you also managed to set up several bowls of the boys fav snacks which consist of m&m’s, popcorn, chips, sour gummies (bc for some reason i hc that Kunimi likes those), and a sneaky milk bread just for Oikawa

and the boys arrive one by one

each one giving you their signature hugs:

Hanamaki’s is short, but sweet, wrapping his arms around you in a tight squeeze

Yahaba’s hug lingers as he makes some flirty comment about how nice you smell, but you just laugh and push him off of you

you’re engulfed in a wholesome hug from Watari and it was all precious and sweet like: (⊃•́‿•̀｡)⊃━✿✿✿✿✿✿

Mattsun’s is a Whole Embrace mixed with some goofy one-liners that makes you chuckle into his warm, fuzzy jacket - he always found a way to make you feel at ease & humor usually worked

HOWEVER the whole vibe is changed as Kyoutani grumpily makes his way inside, side-eyeing everyone in the process

Kyo simply looks at you, nods, and hands you a bag of store-bought cookies. to you this has been a successful interaction

but once Iwaizumi arrives, you literally have to look away to keep tears from welling up in your eyes.

he just stares at his feet with a somber, blushy expression on his face until he realizes that you’re not gonna be able to initiate the hug bc Emotions™

his hug is l o n g. and warm. and several tears are shed into his well-worn, denim jacket while he cradles your head

tears are wiped away only for Kindaichi to stumble through the door with a card and flowers in his hand bc he wants you to know how much he’ll miss you.

Kindaichi’s hug is short, but it’s intentionally that way because he doesn’t feel like crying into your hair and almost fails

You can breathe a sigh of relief when Kunimi saunters into your home bc you know he isn’t gonna get all soft on you

he literally just side hugs you and honestly you couldn’t be more grateful for the chill interaction

but the relief is short-lived, because THE Oikawa Tooru is the last to dramatically make his way through the door

Tooru has his most precious smile on, just how you remembered it from your first year, and envelopes you in a hug that all but m e l t s you

you don’t usually let him use all of his charms on you, but you make an exception since this is one of the last times you’ll get to hold him this closely

besides Iwaizumi, Oikawa is undeniably one of the best hug-givers because he naturally soothes you, letting you lean into his chest and rest your chin on his shoulders.

he’s definitely tracing small circles on your back and smiling into your hair which makes you entirely forget that there’s a room full of boys lounging around, watching this hug fiasco go down

“Get a room, you two!” You hear Hanamaki call out

Ah, yes, people are here

“Shhh! We were having a moment!” Oikawa whines, but you pull away from him anyways, rolling your eyes at the rest of the team

and thus the movie watching marathon begins

“Aliens” (by Tooru’s request) is first, then “The Greatest Showman,” followed by “Pacific Rim,” since you didn’t have any of the original Godzilla movies that Iwaizumi had requested

4 people pile onto the couch, squishing each other and getting a bit tangled

basically, you’re sandwiched between Iwa and Kindaichi (much to Oikawa dismay, bc he wanted to sit next to you)

everyone else is spread out on the carpet, in bean bags, across sleeping bags & pillows… whatever they find most comfortable

but the films weren’t exactly the focus

instead, almost everyone is making snide remarks, narrating, and sending memes throughout each movie while Iwaizumi is practically begging (threatening) all of them to just, “Shut up and watch!”

and because Iwa is literally about to punch one of them, you grab him by the shoulders and tilt his body until this head is laying in your lap & you’re softly brushing your fingers through his hair

you learn a lot about their film theories & gamer terms which only reaffirms your belief that they’re all just a bunch of nerdy, volleyball obsessed kids (even though they all want you to think they’re super cool and attractive)

but alas, it’s this goofiness that makes you so fond of them: the teasing and prodding, the illogical banter, and the casual & often untimely flirting from each of the boys periodically…

none of you get any sleep, but it’s okay because you’re cozied up next to your favs and they make sure to tease and love on you as much as possible, because you are just so special to them

you will miss every. single. one. of. them.

but to your credit, they are going to miss you so much more <3
