The Spiteful Ghost
Danny loved space, and loved exploring it almost as much as he loved the Realms (yes, apparently he had made a home there, and learned to love its quirkiness, who could knew right?). The problem was that over the years the halfa acquired another characteristic: He hated heroes.
It might seem ironic, considering his teenager years but he just couldn't stand the concept of heroism (he never chosed to be one), not after all he had been through. Not after losing his family and ending up with more than deep wounds, not after humanity called him a villain for protecting the ghosts, not after the world chosed to sacrifice him after all he did for them (Amity was his world, and the city handed him over on a silver platter to save itself, they forced him to take drastic measures, actions he should never have taken, but when you're alone it turns out that no one can stop you)
They say that rancor can change you, the halfa can confirm. The point is, Danny hated heroes (he hated what they had to go through, hated that adult heroes weren't there for him, hated what it took to be a hero, leaving everything for the world was absurd, why would you accept something like that?). When the ghosts told him about the DC dimension he didn't take it exactly well. Although at least those heroes had a base in space.
Clockwork forbade him to go for a few months (he understood his grudge, quite personal, but he didn't want it to destroy him, he didn't want him to destroy himself), but when he saw him lost and depressed he allowed it, probably because he knew it would cheer him up for a while. Maybe he saw some future where he reconciled with the "profession", or maybe he thought he needed it (the halfa wasn't evil, Clockwork knew he wouldn't hurt anyone).
So, Danny arrived in the hero dimension and set out to be the world's biggest nuisance: moved chairs, ate their snacks, disappeared their stuff. He wasn't doing anything exceptionally big until he overheard an argument between the Red Hood and Batman.
After that, Batman ran out of gadgets in no time and Red Hood found little desserts everywhere. By the time they called JLD, it was pretty obvious they had an invader (the invader strangely loved Young Justice, and anti-heroes, seemed to hate Batman thought).
John Constantine entered feeling that he was walking to his funeral, why the hell had the Ghost King installed himself in a hero base, if it was rumored that he hated them to death?

At first I thought Starboy's black outfit was a bit odd, not glowy enough yknow? But then I realized it does two things:
Looks like the night sky, especially with the gold designs on it, and
Contrasts Magnifico's all-white outfit!

Takutanuva was a character I was never quite satisfied with in his varied looks across the Bionicle franchise, so the other night at work I found myself doodling ideas for what he might look like if he ever showed up when I did Bionicle stuff =)
Also did a review of Bionicle if anyone wants to watch that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slpHB4OLWTA

Emyr is certain that their feelings for you are completely casual and appropriate.
Of course they get worked up over you, you're their nemesis!
It's normal for a hero to have a nemesis, to focus on one villain above all the others (even in the event that the villain has been radio silent for over a week while countless others wreak havoc on the city, even if they have to ignore all their friends constantly signaling them for backup against said villains; you're planning something, they know it, and it's their responsibility to be ready to stop you!)
And it's normal for a hero to get violently upset when they discover another hero had an encounter with that nemesis.
Just like it's completely normal for a hero to accidentally leave their friend totally vulnerable in deadly combat just days after that discovery.
They're dedicated to taking down a particularly dangerous evildoer, and people make mistakes in the heat of battles; this is all normal.
They don't think it's wrong to get so excited when their call signal goes off (one they had made specifically for calls about you), they're just passionate about stopping evil!
They don't think it's wrong to feel a shiver of anticipation tingle up their spine on the occasions you get the upper hand in battle (it's a stressful situation!), and they chalk it up to temporary shock when they find themself frozen, helpless to stop your weapons (or, god, hands) from tearing into them.
They don't think it's wrong to feel their heart race at the very thought of you, to hear the blood pounding in their ears every time they picture your manic smile or your sweaty, feral form- of course memories of their enemy will spike their adrenaline!
They don't think it's wrong to collect the odd weapons you sometimes forget after fights, to hold them tight in their hands and feel the residual warmth of your skin, to imagine how you might use each one on them, (to use them on themself and picture your disgust at the pleasure they derive from it...).
It's just important to know your enemy, is all.
It's not strange that they spend most nights skulking around your lair, using their super-vision to watch you go about your business through the thick walls, using their enhanced hearing to pick up every shift of your skin against your clothing (god how do you look even more ethereal in your casual clothes?); it's just routine surveillance!
And it's not strange that they set up multiple cameras (hidden with great effort) to catch glimpses inside when they can't be there.
(And it's not strange that they collect all their footage at the end of each day and splice together every shot where you're even slightly indecent, that they watch these perverted montages to get themself off every night, that they constantly have to wipe drool and spunk off their monitor just to catch another glimpse of your sinful body.)
It's not wrong that you occupy their thoughts every second of the day, waking or otherwise.
It's not wrong that they fall asleep every night to the memory of your vicious smirk looming over them in the wake of a rare defeat- in fact, it's motivating to recall past failure, to figure out where they went awry so they never fall into that position again (with your strong legs straddling their body, every muscle tensed against them, your wild eyes locking their gaze to yours as you both pant with exertion, a blade pressed to their throat just enough for them to feel beads of blood trickle down their neck- the only thing saving them from the pressure on their throat and crotch alike being a vigilante group arriving and causing you to make a "strategic retreat").
It's also not wrong that they keep fiddling with the wounds you've given them, pulling and scratching and reopening them again and again until they scar, because they do it for the reminder.
So they can stop it from happening again.
Definitely not so they can pretend it's your fingers digging into their skin, that your sharp eyes are watching in disdain as they moan at the stinging pain, that your cruel smile is hanging over them mockingly while they get worked up over so very little, that you've finally gotten the better of them for good and intend to use them mercilessly for your own desires...
Definitely not that.
...
So, basically, in conclusion: Emyr is completely normal about you.
And will forever continue to be.

okay so Spider-Man!Reader getting a part-time job at an local comic book shop to help his aunt make ends meet. the kid starts hosting a weekly dungeons and dragons game with the hopes of drawing in business and after some months pass, the Reader’s game table is full of villains and heroes alike, arranging temporary truces so they can play with him together.
sometimes the table can get heated but they’re all respectful for the Reader’s sake
I love the thought of the villains and heroes alike wearing elaborate disguises. Like, they stick to one certain look and alias most of the time only to switch it up and pretend to be someone new every so often to up business. When things do get heated though whether between the villains and heroes themselves or other costumers taking part in the games the yanderes keep their cool while in the presence of the Reader. But when the Reader isn’t around then there will at least be some well worded threats thrown around. And god forbid if any random customer went off on the Reader or was talking shit about them whether in regards to their role playing the game or as an employee at the store. That person will be visited by both villains and heroes alike, although the heroes would be more lenient with the perpetrator to an extent.
It really wouldn’t matter what part-time job the Reader took up for all the yandere villians and heroes to support them and bring more business, becoming extremely generous and loyal patrons. Also, their place of work would be one of the most protected and hands off places in the city by both villains and heroes. They aren’t going to let anyone damage or destroy their kiddos form of employment. Not to mention their poor darling could get hurt in the process too.
Although, if the Reader were to be out of a job and on some hard times quite a few specific heroes and villains would either offer the Reader a job at their civilian place of work/their own company or they would take care of the Reader’s needs and financial necessities without their knowledge (covering everything for the Reader and their aunt). Rent will either be lessened quite a bit or even go away completely for the Reader and their aunt. In the case that it is just lessened it will still be completely paid for but the Reader and their aunt have no clue who’s paying it for them. Not to mention they always have a completely stocked fridge even though they don’t have the means to go grocery shopping at the time. And the Reader would even be getting a hefty monthly allowance in their bank account, as well as some extra money left in an envelope for them and their aunt here and there.

I think it’d be funny if Aaron met Peter and his friends (like MJ and Harry) after he starts mentoring Miles, and realizes that somehow he’s the most well-adjusted out of all them
Especially funnier if he’s the Prowler in that situation

i can fully understand the gripes with certain misogynistic tropes/writing issues that are present in the execution of some of cersei’s writing, but i will never understand the “she should have a redemption arc” or “she should be more likeable/less morally dark” perspective. that is not what her character is or has to be to make it great. wanting more female anti-heroes or “redemption arcs” with moral greyness and complexity of the level that asoiaf gives to primarily male characters is entirely understandable, but do some of you people even like cersei as a character, like at its core? like this is not about criticising the execution of certain things when it comes to this character, this is about taking issue with her as a villain fundamentally, which i just do not agree with at all
#i also do not understand why she is juxtaposed only w her brothers#in this respect#like if u wanna take issue w not as many female anti heroes that r allowed the level of true moral greyness of j theon etc i get that#but thats a whole text problem like a family isnt a monolith they r different characters with different drives its not a competition between#them#all three r dealing w some very very diff things too like they r distinct characters#and i honestly dont think cersei’s character set up works with a redemption story like she specifically is way more interesting as she is#she is a discussion of tropes when it comes the ‘female villain’ and u can take issue w the execution but i like the concept a lot#like she is written the way she is for a reason why do u want her to be a different character entirely#like if u want this why not advocate for george making a female character whose story would actually work with the redemption trope instead#of making their writing weaker and less trope busting#ig i just really like with cersei the idea that her being an evil perpetrator doesnt erase her being a victim of misogyny and vice versa#like i like that challenge that she is deserving of sympathy for these things without the need to redeem her or make her ‘likeable’#patriarchal violence will affect all women#and the story deserves to work just as well with someone u r not supposed to root for#its about the humanization of these people#evil doesnt exist in a vacuum#and it makes perfect sense that these specific systemic conditions create it#and then perpetuate it

Whump Prompt 116
Write something inspired by this concept:
Hero is cursed to transform into a monster, but every time he dies in his monster form, he comes back to life as a stronger, more hideous, more beastly version of that monster. Hero tries to hide this fact and his transformation from everyone, because the more times he dies and transforms, the less human he becomes. But villain finds out and hunts him down.

Schizophrenic Hero
Just imagine the possibilities….
Hero who is fighting villains in real life and in their imagination.
Hero accidentally dragging random citizens into a fight.
Hero realizing later and being so apologetic.
The city wants to take their contract away but they can’t- hero is the only one who’s been able to outlast these stronger villains.
Hero never getting rest… when they lay down their minds play tricks.
Their own villains in their head come out and they fight them too.
A hero who feels like it’s their moral obligation to help others and soon it becomes a forced chore.
Hero who does want to help but they’re so tired…
They fight so much… physically… mentally… emotionally… they’re about to check out.
Until they meet a villain who can control mental illnesses…

This is so touching!
I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this. But then I was like, I've already made them wait long enough, and what's the harm of posting two things in one day?
Felt it'd be nice to have Part 6 be a little less plot-driven. You'll see what I mean
-------
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5
QPR, Part 6
“[Hero], come on!” the villain called, from where they laid sprawled on the couch. “You said it wouldn’t take that long!”
“Hold on just a sec.” The hero’s voice floated from the kitchen. “They’ll be done soon.”
The villain scowled and flopped back on the pillows. “You never see Do-yun making Ha-rin wait around forever.”
“That’s because tv shows have this magical trick called the jump cut.” There was the sound of an oven door closing. “We'll just let them bake, and then they’ll be so good you won’t even remember the wait.”
The villain groaned.
Then they heard the sound of running water, and burst up, rushing into the kitchen. “Are you doing my dishes?!”
The hero jerked their head up like they’d been caught vandalizing. “I was just going to do a few while we waited.”
“Okay, one, you do not need to do my chores on k-drama night. And two, how long is the baking going to take?!”
The hero glanced to their phone on the counter. “’Bout fifty more minutes.”
The villain gaped. “That’s most of an episode!”
“Well I didn’t want us to have to pause the show during a big scene. This way we can – Jesus your hands are freezing!”
The villain had come up behind the hero to hug them, pressing their hands on the hero’s stomach.
“Come watch tv dear,” they said into the hero’s shoulder. “I’m cold without you.”
The hero shook their head, but also cracked a small grin. “You’re evil.”
The villain matched their expression and pressed their hands more. “Of course I am. It’s the only way I can get you to cuddle me.”
In the end, the brownies were, in fact, good enough to make the villain forget why they were annoyed in the first place.
---
“Oh my god,” the hero said.
The villain fidgeted. “Do you like it?”
“Like it?” The hero looked up. “[Villain], it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.”
The hero was holding a small fluffy teddy bear, its fur the black, grey, white, and purple of the asexual flag.
The villain beamed. “Really?”
The hero nodded gleefully. “He needs a name.”
“I think the tag says its name is ‘Fuzzy’ or something. You could – ”
“Ferdinand,” the hero decided, assessing the stuffed animal. “Ferdinand Bearnsby. The next Prince of Denmark.”
The villain wrapped the hero in a hug. “I’m so glad you like it.”
---
“So is [Villain], like, a law-abiding citizen now?” the hero’s friend asked.
“Uh, sort of?” The hero gazed around at the restaurant’s outdoor seating area. “They still break minor laws, but I think they’ve really toned it down to stress me out less.”
“Hey, that’s great.”
The hero swirled their iced tea with their straw. “Yeah, I guess.”
The friend quirked an eyebrow. “You don’t agree?”
The hero sighed. “Okay, so don’t ever tell [Villain] this, but I think their ‘devil may care’ attitude is maybe, kinda . . . a little bit cool?”
The friend grinned. “Oh really?”
In return, the hero’s smile was sheepish. “It’s a little embarrassing to admit, but I secretly wish that they’d behave more like their old villainous self sometimes.”
“Hm, well I suppose that – ”
Something enormous crashed into the street, making all the dishes clatter. The hero and their friend both whipped their heads around to see the cause of the noise.
“[Villain]!”
“Oh hi [Hero]!” The fifty-foot tall mech waved at the two of them. “Fancy meeting you here. How did you know it was me?”
“[Villain], why are you in a giant robot?!”
“Isn’t it cool?” The villain spun around, their heavy feet cracking the pavement and the machine's hinges screeching with every movement. “I finally figured out how to get the power system working.”
“This is illegal.”
The villain laughed. “Ah okay, I see the issue. But, fear not my darling, for I have” – they pulled out a sheet of paper that looked miniscule in their enormous metal hands – “a permit!”
Soon after, the mech continued walking down the street, while the hero followed them, shouting at the top of their lungs.
The friend watched them go, and then chuckled. Those two maniacs were perfect for each other.

Elevator
Hero scooted over to the furthest side of the room, still shooting a wavering glance to Villain's hunched over body as they tampered around at the wires.
The room was beginning to feel hotter the longer they stayed. If only they'd taken the stairs, Hero didn't ask to team up with Villain, if they could make the decision on their own they would’ve preferred to fight the greater evil alone. However, one thing lead to another and they were forced to.
Hero leaned back against the cold steel wall and wrapped their arms around their torso. The emergency button still flashed a dim red, a pathetic attempt at alerting emergency services of their urgent need. It went unanswered for about an hour before Villain decided they’d rather figure it out themselves.
"Forget it, you know that won't work." They looked at the elevator lights. It flickered a few times which didn't ease their worry. They wondered if they would ever get out.
Villain shrugged, “It’s still worth a shot.”
“We could still wait it out.” The last part of their sentence sounded more like a question. Villain huffed out a laugh. Their dismissive response made Hero re-evaluate their suggestion.
The stupid henchmen working under Supervillain must’ve done this. It was the only answer. Hero didn’t expect the base of operations to exist in such a large corporate building. They had taken the elevator hoping to reach the top level quicker, it was their only chance at finding Supervillain at all. Now, they were left stranded.
Villain eventually stood up and stretched out their back. A low groan escaping their mouth. “I don’t know I might have to resort to violence.” They pulled up their sleeve and revealed a small sleek black stick.
That piqued their interest, “What the hell is that?” They hesitantly watched Villain tap onto its side as they tried to figure out what their plan was.
“It’s like a bomb.”
“Excuse me?!”
“Calm down, I’m only going to use it to blow a hole—”
“And kill us?” Hero stood astonished and contemplated snatching away the device. They were right not to trust Villain.
The criminal sighed and continued their sentence. “If I can blow a hole through that wall,” they directed a finger at the empty space behind them. “We can probably just jump out and get to the next floor.”
Hero ran a hand through their hair, were they seriously going to follow through? It’s not like they had anything better. “That’s going to get us hurt.”
They backed away from the wall as Villain tagged the device firmly onto it. It stuck in place as a humming noise played out. Hero felt a wave of sweat hounding onto them as they stepped away further, still unable to register their next moves. Were they expected to casually hop out and not get hit by any debris?
“Don’t worry, it’ll be about three minutes until it actually explodes.”
Beep!
Beep!
Beep!
The device had started making different noises which didn’t sit right with Hero. They looked at the emergency button. Partly wishing there was still a chance to wait out.
Villain didn’t seem affected at all, they looked around at the ceiling; their hands to their hips. “No cameras, huh. You’d think such a place like this would be littered with security.”
“Villain! De-activate it!” Hero palmed their attire for anything to protect themselves from the bomb. They considered if hiding behind Villain could be an option, but found it too cowardly.
Almost as if reading their mind, Villain shuffled over to their side and smiled knowingly. “Aww… is Hero scared?” They nudged their shoulder with their own lightly, and Hero shoved them back.
“Shut up, if I die, it’s on you!”
“Pfft!” Villain smirked, “We have like two more minutes, why don’t we… kill some time?” They chuckled and moved closer again. Their eyes told them something suggestive.
They frowned. “Quit messing around, Villain! This is serious!”
Finally, sensing Hero’s frustration, Villain gave in. “Okay, fine.” They unveiled another tool and activated a large hologram shield, its edges shimmering a blue colour. “I’m already ten steps ahead of you.” They pulled Hero in closer and the city's protector wondered if they had judged Villain too quickly. They were at the very edge; furthest away from the device. They felt crowded being held so close by their one true enemy, yet, comfortable.
They always did something out of their control, but Villain was quick to find a solution for the two of them. Hero felt Villain’s arm wrap around them, a thumb aimlessly soothing their anxiety. Maybe Villain was doing this to show off or to make themselves look reasonable.
“I’m not scared…” They mumbled into their chest. Hero had to look away and focus on the number of beeps to keep their heart from beating any faster.
Their nemesis kept their eyes on the bomb. “You might want to cover your ears, love.”
Just as their palms lifted up to their ears, the device exploded. A heavy gust of wind pressed them tightly against the wall; Hero felt themselves slipping away from Villain’s grasped as they used both hands to firmly keep the shield up.
The elevator leaned to one side; a loud creaking sound of wire snapping and unknown gears shifting around them echoed. Hero’s shoes slid away from the comfort of protection.
Hero watched as the clouds of dust revealed a gaping hole on the other side. Their instincts quickly turned to find anything to hold onto, but nothing came about.
The other side was a dark intimidating void. They shouted for help; frantic attempts were unsuccessful.
Villain turned around and raced to find a way to save Hero. Their eyes landed on an abnormal price of metal pole that dug into the elevators side.
“Wait, Hero I’m coming!”
Hero gripped onto a wire as the floor finally gave out beneath them, and turned to face the inside of the elevator. They tried to keep themselves from moving too much, but their curiosity to look down gave them a fear they hadn’t experienced since childhood. They hated the extent of their height; far away from the ground. The emptiness under them.
Panic set in and overwhelmed their mind. The lights inside the elevator shut down. Villain climbed atop of it and examined their position. A chord snapped and a sharp electric sound buzzed past them.
“Hero! Are you okay?” They looked around for their rival, until they spotted them through the dark; stranded. “Grab my hand!”
They reached down; Hero returned their brave face and took a peek.
“C’mon, Hero!”
Hesitantly, Hero tried to make another attempt to save themselves. After taking a few deep breaths their fingers unwrapped from the wire and searched in the empty space above them for Villain’s hand.
Their hands laced together. Relief ran through their body, they were safe. Only a few more minutes of this, and this would be in the past.
With some effort, Hero pulled themselves out and on top of the elevator. Their breathing unusually faster than expected.
“Thank you.” They panted, their arms set desperately curled around Villain’s.
They took a break for a moment. Absorbing their new situation. Villain looked around at the tall ceiling and then back down at the hellish pit. Hero still refused to let them go, their face still nuzzled in between their neck and shoulder.
"Are you okay?" Their voice echoed, Hero nodded, but Villain wasn't completely convinced. They'd never seen Hero so fearful of anything, the public made them look so valiant and glorious in all their might. It had them convinced for so long that Hero truly lived up to their name.
Although they wanted to laugh and tease Hero for their childish reaction toward heights they couldn't bring themselves to do it. Instead, Villain caught a moment of vulnerability when they instead wanted to console Hero.
They seemed a lot smaller now with their head tucked in and a quieter demeanour. Their hand tapped on their shoulder. “Hero, I was… are you scared of heights?” It dawned on them in that last minute that this cherished figure of the city could be so… so human with all the qualities that weren’t super.
“A little.” They whispered in response. They hadn’t expected such an honest response from them already, but in that case, it must’ve been bad. Their hand patted down at their suit in a sincere gesture; trying to keep Hero relaxed.
Villain couldn’t bring themselves to laugh, not yet. “Alright, well, whenever you’re ready then” They could wait a little longer until Hero was fine enough to continue their mission. Besides, it wasn’t as though they were in trouble yet.
