They spent the rest of the night and early hours of the morning apologising, promising to make up for their mistakes. All three guys crying when she told them how much they had broken her heart, the guilt still there front row and centre but she promised them that it was all forgiven.
Steve and Sam had begged for forgiveness for not being there for her but she reassured them that all was forgiven, that it was time to move on.
Even though all three of them had hurt her and they hadn’t done anything to help her when she needed at least one of them the most, she had forgiven them. She missed them more than anything, they were the other part of her fractured soul.
She didn’t want to hold any grudges against them.
For a whole month Y/n caught up with her boys, caused mayhem just as they did a few years ago.
It was as if nothing had changed.
They didn’t understand what was happening when they showed up to Howard’s and Maria’s house to take Y/n out for the day when she opened the door where they could see two suitcases by her side.
“Bun? You’re leaving again?”
“Yeah only for two months, going to travel with Nat and Wanda. Isn’t that so exciting?” She smiles.
“Yeah, yeah how come you didn’t tell us?”
“I was a bit busy catching up with you guys…”
“Is it going to be just you three?”
“No Pietro, Clint and Vis are coming too”
“Who’s Clint and Vis?”
“Clint’s Natasha’s boyfriend and Vis is Wanda’s”
“Will you be coming back?” Steve asked.
“Yeah of course, then I’ll start my new job. I can’t wait”
“What job?”
“You know Mr Stan? Well he’s given me a job as his accountant”
“I’m so proud of you Bun”
“Thanks Duck-“
“Y/n come on love we’ve got to go” Maria interrupts as she checks over the plane ticket and double checking that Y/n had enough money.
“Okay momma, give me a hug then boys”
Tumblr media
For the two next two months Bucky was out of his mind. He wouldn’t sit still for long periods at a time. He had gotten a taste of the happiness he had for years, went without for three years and then he got it back just for it to leave with Y/n once again.
“Buck she’ll be home in a few days”
“It’s been too long man”
“Are you going to tell her?” Sam asks.
“Tell her what?”
“That you’re madly, hopelessly in love with her?”
“No I’m not!”
“Yeah right and I’m Captain America” Steve snorted from the kitchen.
“I’m not in love with Bunny. And plus she’s got a boyfriend and I’m seeing…shit what’s her name?”
Sam burst out laughing, nearly sliding off the chair and Steve shook his head “Lily, Bucky her names Lily”
“Yeah I’m seeing Lily”
“How’s that going Buck?” Sam says as he calms down.
“Great, it’s going great”
“Bullshit she told Sarah that when you two fucked you kept calling her Y/n.”
“No he didn’t!” Steve gasped. Between me and you he already knew.
“Yeah and it’s pretty much the same with every girl he’s slept with, he calls them Y/n’s name” okay Steve hadn’t heard that before.
“Fuck off man, it’s not been with all of them” Bucky weakly tries to defend himself, again just between me and you what he just said was a big fat lie.
“L to the I to the A right down to the R, guess what that spells Buck… liar.”
“Shut up.”
“Oh and plus you have a bunny tattoo on your chest” It was true. On Bucky’s eighteenth birthday he went to the tattoo studio to get his first ever tattoo, he saw it in the book as he flipped through it halting his movements as he saw the cute bunny. It was a lot smaller but he asked the tattooist if he could have it bigger which the guy said yeah, Bucky had him also add the small love heart.
Over the year he got a few more added to his body but his bunny that sat just over his heart was his favourite of them all.
“Don’t mean I’m in love with her”
“Yes. Yes it does.”
“No. No it doesn’t.”
“Steve help me out here man” Sam begs.
“I’m not getting involved. But Bucky your in love with Y/n/n”
Groaning Bucky stands up “fuck you both I’m going out to see Lucy”
“Lily!”
“Yeah her, bye”
Tumblr media
“I’m sorry Y/n” Pietro says wiping her tears.
“No it’s okay, I understand honestly”
“I just don’t want to hurt you baby”
“I know Pieface just don’t die please and please be safe”
Laughing sadly at the nickname she had given him he nods with a promise that he’ll be safe.
“I do love you Y/n/n”
“I love you too Pietro”
Giving one final long hug they separate from one another, she watches as he walks through the doors to the airport wiping her fallen tears she smiles and waves at him as he looks back at her, giggles fall from her lips as he pulls a funny face to her.
“Won’t you be able to see him in a few months?” Wanda asks softly.
Shaking her head Y/n shrugs “h-he broke up with me”
“You what?”
“Yeah, he said he doesn’t want to hold me back and wants me to live my life whilst he’s away”
Pietro had told her a few weeks before coming back home that he signed up for the Army and had been accepted. Though he did love her he didn’t want her staying at home worrying about him, he wanted her to experience life and who knows when he got back they could rekindle their relationship, though Pietro knew it was unlikely. He knew that Y/n loved him but he also knew that she was in love with Bucky, and for him there was no way he was going to get in the way of her happiness even if that wasn’t with him and to be truthful he was okay with it.
“Y/n/n I’m sorry”
“Don’t be, it’s fine honestly. Let’s go home I’m missing my bed.”
“I still can’t believe you’re not coming to college with us” Nat says as she pulls on her seatbelt yanking it a little to hard when it gets stuck.
“I know but it’s just not for me you know”
“It’s not going to be the same” Wanda says.
“I guess but you two can’t get another me to add in to your friendship group or I’ll cry”
“Definitely not happening, if another female tries to be our friend we’ll kick them” Nat says seriously.
“Don’t kick them Jesus that’s a bit harsh, just say “no you can’t be our friend because we already have the bestest one” but please don’t kick them”
“I’m kicking them”
Saying her goodbyes as she’s dropped off at home her eyes start to sting with the amount of tears she’s cried. They all promise that they’ll meet up as soon as they can.
As she tells her parents of her adventures and shows them all the photos she had taken, she hands them their gifts.
“You didn’t have to get us anything angel” Howard says loving the pyramid paperweight she had gotten him.
“Alright I’ll take them back”
“Touch it and I’ll bite you”
Gasping she looks at her mom “momma did you just hear what he said?”
“I did sweetie but I have to agree your not taking these back” admiring the snow globe she had gotten, already knowing exactly where it was going, adding it to the collection she had been collecting since she was twenty.
“Where’s Antonio?”
“I’ve told you time and time again not to call me that, hey baby sis” hugging his sister he checks the bag for his gift.
“It’s not in there Tone, it’s outside”
“What have you gotten me?”
“A car”
“Holy shit! Really? I knew there was a reason why I kept you around”
“Yep come on” Her, Tony, Howard and Maria make their way outside.
“Whe-what the hell is this Y/n?”
“A car” she laughs along with her parents as Tony picks up a toy car off the ground. “I brought you a car”
“You’re such a little shit!” He laughs along. “Oh nice new tat”
“Cheers”
“You got another one?” Maria asks wanting to see it.
“Yeah it’s a turtle his names Sid, isn’t he cute?”
“Sid?” Howard questions.
“Yeah, we went to a sea life centre and we got to meet Sid the turtle, so naturally I had to add him to the collection”
“Obviously” Tony rolls his eyes.
“Anyway I’m going to go to the boy’s apartment and give them their gifts see you later”
“Be careful!” Maria calls out.
Tumblr media
Panting as she knocks on the door she nearly collapses into Sam’s arms when he opens the door.
“Jesus Y/n, Holy shit guys Y/n’s back!”
“I can taste blood in my mouth is-is that normal?” She asks.
“Are you alright?”
“No Samuel I’m not alright I’ve just walked up a trillion stairs just to get here! Why do you have to live so far up?”
“It’s easier when the elevator works” he grins.
“Hey Y/n/n” Steve says hugging her.
“Hi Stevie”
The three of them hear hurried footsteps coming towards them and when they look they see Bucky rushing down the hallway “shit, Bunny you’re back! I nearly fell in the shower trying to rush to get out” he pants pulling her into a bone crushing hug.
“I-I-I’m sorry but…Ducky…”
“What’s up Bun?” He follows her eye line and he’s realised his mistake. In his rush he managed to pull on some shorts but no shirt.
Meaning that she can see the bunny tattoo.
And unbeknownst to either one, they don’t realise that Sam and Steve have their eyes trained on the tattoo she has on the top of her spine.
“That’s a bunny” she points of the obvious.
“Yeah, yeah it is”
“Why?”
“For you”
“When did you get it done?”
“On my eighteenth birthday”
“And it’s for me?” Watching as he nods “can I?” He nods again to the unspoken part of her question, his skin tingles as she reaches out and runs her fingers over the delicate lines.
“Oh Duck it’s beautiful”
“Your hiding your own little secret aren’t you Y/n” Sam smiles.
“What are they talking about Bun?”
“I-um-I got this done on my eighteenth birthday” she says turning in his hold to show him her tattoo.
“Bun, it’s us. Can I?” It’s her turn to nod at his unspoken words she gasps lightly when his cold fingers trace the lines, he’s so mesmerised by the details and polka dots that he simply couldn’t stop touching it. “Bun it’s so beautiful”
“It was my first tattoo, obviously”
“So was mine”
“I actually feel really left out” Sam admits wrapping his arms around Steve’s “Stevie they don’t love us”
“That’s not true because-“ she rolls her sleeves up to her elbows and shows them the tattoos she had gotten for them ‘♡ S.R ♡ ♡ S.W ♡’ with a love heart on the top of her forearms. Not batting an eye at the scars the two boys lean in as Bucky leans over her shoulder.
“Who’s who?” Sam grins “but Y/n you actually got our initials tattooed on you?”
“Your obviously SR idiot and yeah of course I did, these were my second tattoos”
“B-but we weren’t friends at the time” Steve says as he eyes the long jagged scars.
“Well you three were a massive parts of my life and the reason why I got the duck and bunny on my back was because Bucky was the first person to see the scars once they where heeled and he never once judged me so”
“Y/n…”
“Anyways you want your presents, I’m like Santa but less cool” she moves out of Bucky’s hold and makes her way over to her bag and started to pull out the gifts, laughing as Sam stands there with his eyes closed and hands out stretched. Steve shakes his head at the guy.
Bucky, well his eyes are trained on his Bunny.
He knew he was in love with her since he was fourteen and now he wonders if she feels the same.
Tumblr media
“So how’s you and Peter doing?” Bucky asks as they wait for Steve and Sam to come back with the pizzas.
“Pietro, and he broke up with me”
“What? Why?”
“He joined the Army and he said he didn’t want me to be waiting around on him, that it wasn’t fair for him to do that to me so yeah”
“Bun I’m sorry”
“It’s okay, I actually understand why he did it you know? And there’s no hard feelings about it.”
When the boys got back laughter filled the apartment as the boys filled her in on what they had been up to during them two months she wasn’t with them and her telling them about her adventures.
It was way past midnight when Sam stretched and looked over at Y/n and Bucky curled up on the couch fast asleep.
“Steve, how long you think she’s been in love with him?” He whispered so he wouldn’t wake the pair up.
“I think just as long as he’s been with her”
And Steve was right.

Body hurting | Harry Styles
Tumblr media
Harry Styles x Y/N
Summary: Where the hate that Y/N has been receiving on social media gets her on a path that she couldn't come back alone from.
Warning: Eating disorder, dysmorphia, self-hatred, comparison. PLEASE read with caution!!
Author's note: That is my work, I DON'T authorize any plagiarism! | English isn't my first language, so I'm sorry if there's any grammar error.
༻✦༺ ༻✧༺ ༻✦༺
Y/N was home alone for the second week in a row, and to say that things were easy would be a big lie. Her days were always the same: Spending hours doing different physical exercises and other hours reading the most horrible comments from Harry's fans.
She could never say they were bad people, after all they loved and cared about Harry, but there was something within the fandom against her, and she wondered if it was because she wasn't famous or because she wasn't thin.
Her heart told her that she shouldn't worry about it, there were sweet people who defended her and always presented proof of how much happier Harry seemed to be when with her, but her mind screamed that it was option two.
Hours of sleep were lost with Y/N in front of the mirror, without any clothes and with her hair tied up, her dark eyes with big bags underneath wandering over every part of her body while her brain made records of absolutely all the negative parts.
To say that she wasn't in agony every time she saw an old article about Harry's exes or comments comparing them all to her was an understatement, she could only feel disgusted with herself and her body, while all her past traumas came back with full strength.
With Harry away it made it easier for her to do her fasting and her long hours of physical exercise, in addition to going days without ingesting anything more than one or two leaves of pure lettuce, and lots of water. The feeling of the cold water running through her body and reaching her empty stomach was pleasurable, and all she could think about was how thin she only felt when her stomach was empty.
And without even realizing it, her best friend became her scale, and her greatest partner became her seamstress' measuring tape. Y/N had even printed out some images of the body models she dreamed of having every day, and pasted each one of them in different corners of the house, especially in the kitchen, with strong messages full of triggers that made her think twice before opening the refrigerator or cupboard.
It wasn't surprising that she had an exaggerated reaction when she was told that Harry would have a week without shows, and that in that week he would return home and, consequently, to her. Y/N wasn't prepared to see him again, or rather, she wasn't thin enough to do so. Her weak legs ran around the house, tearing off all the photos and messages stuck to doors and walls, storing them in a far away place, where he wouldn't find.
She tried to take a long shower and brush her teeth repeatedly to get rid of the smell that she got from the lack of food. And then she felt a little ready for what was to come.
It wasn't long before the sound of the key in the main door was heard and the doorknob turned, the tall, dark figure appearing in the doorway with a suitcase in one hand and a big smile on his face, his emerald green eyes searching for her.
Y/N smiled one of her best smiles and ran to meet him, careful not to throw her full weight against him. She couldn't help but feel uncomfortable as his large hands encircled her waist, the worry that he would feel the fat on her back regions running through her mind. But what she didn't notice was the confused look on Harry's face as his fingers felt how much smaller she was, and he wondered if she had started some kind of diet.
"I missed you so much, H." Y/N murmured against his shoulder.
"Not as much as I did, lovie. Every day, I just thought about having you with me, encouraging me and loving me, and then rewarding me." Y/N felt her body tense at the mention of the intimacy they both shared, the thought of him seeing her body, even though he had already seen it so many times that he had memorized every detail, made her fear.
"Why don't we take this suitcase to the bedroom and then see what we do?" She interrupted the moment, walking away with a fake smile and taking the suitcase from the taller man's hands, starting to climb the stairs, leaving a confused and worried Harry behind.
××××
Two days had passed, days full of lies on Y/N's part and worry on Harry's part. Y/N skipped breakfast, using the fact that Harry woke up after her as an excuse, saying that she had already eaten breakfast; At lunch she couldn't just lie or make some excuse, so she simply took a spoonful of the food that the brunette cooked with so much love, and spread it across the plate, trying to give the impression of having a full plate; At dinner she simply said that she wasn't hungry and that she lost the habit of eating dinner after Harry went on tour.
The days went on like this, Harry felt confused about the situation, but it didn't seem like he didn't believe it, so a debate raged between whether to bring up the subject or not.
Until one day. Harry woke up with the morning sun shining through the open curtain, which Y/N opened every day, his body was warm from the duvet and Y/N's scent surrounded it, like Saturn's rings.
The man got up and did his routine, going to the bathroom, taking a quick shower and changing, ready to go down to meet his loved one, who was always waiting for him with a big smile, sitting at the kitchen counter with her cell phone in hand and a cup of coffee, which was just for him.
But today was different, as Harry went down the stairs a muffled sound became clearer, until his brain registered that the sound was of crying, with a frown the man quickened his pace and chased the sound, concern settling in his eyes.
It didn't take long for him to find Y/N in the fetal position on the main sofa in the room, the cell phone in her right hand while her left hand covered her mouth, trying futilely to stifle the sobs that broke from her throat.
Harry ran closer, kneeling on the floor in front of her seat on the sofa and placing his hands on the girl's knees, stroking them lightly.
"Y/N what happened? Who made you cry like this?" His green eyes migrated from her half-covered face and her cell phone.
"H-Harry-" Her voice broke as the taller man's name came out as a whimper.
"I'm here, baby!" He got closer, wrapping his hands around the smaller girl's shoulders, placing his forehead on the top of Y/N's head, breathing in her scent.
"Harry, I don't think I can do this anymore..." Y/N whispered.
"Do what, my love?"
"Us, Harry." The man moved quickly, astonished by his girl's response.
"Did I do something? It was one of those fake news that I'm cheating on you, wasn't it? Baby, I never-"
"No Harry, no. I know you would never do that! And you didn't do anything, I just..." She sighed and looked into his eyes, feeling guilty when she saw the pain in his emerald orbs. "Look at me, Harry, look at this." She pointed to his body, letting a loud sob out.
"What should I be seeing? Besides a beautiful woman."
Y/N laughed in disbelief, shaking her head and feeling a hint of anger start to rise, it was clear he would say something like that just to please her.
"Harry, I'm looking horrible. I don't have visible ribs or a protruding collarbone, I don't have a thigh gap or hip bones, I don't have thin wrists and I don't have well-marked cheekbones, I don't have pointy shoulders and I don't have a defined jaw... I don't have delicate hands or thin fingers, my waist isn't extremely thin and my breasts are too big. Harry, I'm not perfect and I can't give you what you need."
At this point Y/N was crying a desperate cry, with strong sobs that made her body shake and thick tears that ran down her face. Harry had tears welling up in his eyes as his hands balled into fists in anger at whoever had put these thoughts in his beloved's head.
"Y/N, who made you think like that? How can you deduce what I want?"
"Harry..." She closed her eyes tightly, her mind betraying her by bringing up images of Camille, the girl seemed to be kind, but Y/N couldn't help but feel jealous of her perfect body. "I'm not like them, I'm not like her!"
"Who? Baby, please-"
"I'm not like Camille or like Kendall or like Taylor, and I can't give you the pretty, thin image you need, the media hates me and I've lost count of how many times they've told you that you're blind from being with me, and I can't disagree with that."
Harry shook his head in denial, feeling angry at the media and everything they post and say with the intention of always offending someone.
Y/N continued to sob, and the force her body exerted with the act left her weak, the lack of food began to appear again and her eyes saw stars while her head swam. Harry grabbed her arms quickly, steadying her.
"Baby if you keep crying like that you're going to hurt yourself. Take a deep breath for me, hm? I'll get you a glass of water."
The brunette ran to the kitchen, starting to look for the decorated glass that he knew was the girl's favorite. While opening drawers and cabinets, his green eyes found a piece of paper glued to the front of the bottom shelf, where some industrialized sweets were kept. Harry took the paper and pulled it out, seeing a photo of a body exactly as described by Y/N and a note next to it, his eyes widened at the horrible mentions written there and he tried to get up quickly and return to the room, holding the paper firmly in your hands.
"Y/N what is this?" The brown-haired girl looked up quickly, her greatest fear happening right before her eyes. Her mouth opened but nothing came out. "Tell me something, when was the last time you ate anything?" She shook her head, ready to say it was the day before, but Harry interrupted her. "I mean a whole meal with a healthy amount."
Y/N remained silent, her eyes now fixed on the floor covered by the shag carpet, the older man took a deep breath, swallowing the lump that formed in his throat. He walked over to the smallest one and put the photo in his pants pocket, promising himself to look for others like it deep in the house.
"Y/N this is a serious situation, you can't keep something like this to yourself!" He couldn't help but feel frustration, he felt guilty for feeling like that because he knew that it wasn't Y/N's fault, but with the way that all of that came down, it just made his head confused and upset.
"Harry I'm fine, that was just-"
"Baby I bet you haven't eaten in days, do you think this is healthy, that this will get you somewhere other than a hospital bed? Letting this situation compromise you like this because of other people... That's not good for you. You don't need to have the same body as them, you don't need to have bones showing or a flat stomach to be magnificent. Those pants you're wearing were tight until a few weeks ago, and look at them now, they're baggy..."
Y/N kept her gaze down, her eyes were filling with uncontrollable tears that threatened to flow at any second again, her cheeks were heating up and the force she was exerting to contain the tears was starting to generate an unbearable headache. She knew Harry was right.
"I need you to look me in the eyes and tell me everything is okay. Just look into my eyes."
The girl slowly raised her head, her eyes focusing on Harry's beautiful green ones, which now held so much anguish and worry, a tear escaping from the corner of his right eye made her lower lip tremble. She opened her mouth to state that she was fine and that everything was going to get better, but her voice seemed to trail off for a second.
Her body hurt, her legs were wobbly and her arms were shaking slightly, she felt her head feel heavy. It was a horrible feeling, beyond normal.
"I-I... Harry, I think I need help."
She whispered, her tears flowing freely now with the weight of her words. Harry nodded vigorously, relieved that she understood that this situation was not normal, and promising himself that he would be by her side through the entire process, no matter how long it took.
And that night, after his girlfriend fell asleep, Harry cried.

The right rhythm (LN4 x Dancer!Reader)
Summary: Lando joined his friends to a dance off and couldn´t keep his eyes off one particular dancer..
Warnings: none, just fluff :)
Tumblr media
A/n: I´m currently in love with watching dance off´s on Youtube so this is just a blurb idea I had :) Let me know if you like it! :)
To the rhythm
It was race week in Silverstone, UK. The drivers were already at the track on Wednesday, since Thursday´s were usually media days. It was lunch time and some of the drivers were having lunch together. Charles took a bite of his chicken ceasar salad before looking up. “Alex do you have your PlayStation with you? We could play Fifa or something tonight, all together”, he suggested and George and Lando excitingly agreed. Alex shook his head. “I have it with me but me and Lily are going to London this afternoon”, he answered and Lando frowned. “London? It´s like three hours away what do you want there?” he asked and Lily, Alex girlfriend, scoffed. “Oh my god! Lando you don’t know?” she asked playfully disappointed which made Lando frown even more. Lily chuckled.
“World of the dances takes place in London tonight. It´s the final of my favourite dance show and my favourite dance crew happens to be there. I´m so excited!” Her eyes were glowing from happiness. Alex wasn’t so excited but he would of course join his girlfriend. “Hey, why don’t you come with us?” he asked the group. Charles, Lando and George looked at each other. Finally, Charles spoke up. “I don’t know, we don’t even have tickets. And I´ve never been to a dance show.” “It´s so fun! Really, it´s such a vibe you just have to experience it once! And I´m sure there are still tickets available”, Lily interrupted him. “Also, a friend of mine dances there so I´m sure I can get more tickets anyway.” Alex smiled, he would like the guys to come with him. “You know what? I´m in”, Lando suddenly said and smiled. “I´ve also never been to this kind of thing but I suppose it´s fun”. The others agreed and so a few hours later they made their way to the English capital.
Since George took Carmen with him they drove to London with two cars. Charles´ Ferrari and Alex Mercedes. The drive was fun, the drivers enjoyed to spend time together besides from racing. When they arrived the location where the show should take place they stunned. A lot of people were gathering around the arena and Lando raised an eyebrow. “I´m sorry but I would have never thought that so many people are interested in dancing”, he said and Lily laughed. “Lando, what exactly do you think this is? Like what kind of dance?” she asked and Lando thought about it. “Isn´t it like pair dance?” he asked and Lily burst out in laughter. Alex chuckled and shook his head slightly. “Mate, it´s hip hop and breakdancing. It´s pretty cool, really”, he said and Lando blushed.
The show was about to begin and the drivers were sitting in the front row, thanks to Lily´s connection. Suddenly, everything went dark and the crowd started cheering. All in all, it was extremely loud in the arena, since the fans were screaming and yelling. Lily said that’s normal because the fans were just celebrating and supporting their favourite crews. After a host was saying a few words he introduced the first crew of the night. How Lily explained earlier, every crew can show three dance choreographies, one only with girls, one only with guys and a mixed one.
When her favourite crew came on stage, Lily cheered loudly. Six girls were arriving on stage with big smiles when they heard the crowd. They stood in a formation and started dancing, when the music started. They were dancing to the song “Little Girl Gone” by Chinchilla. They were pretty good, everybody thought so but Lando couldn’t keep his eyes away from one girl in particular. The way she moved her body to the beat and smiled when the drop hit. The way she sometimes sang along, her long brown ponytail was waving to her moves. All girls were wearing wide black sweatpants and white crop tops, with a black jacket. Lando couldn’t stop staring at her. Her body was perfect, he thought. She was not very tall, maybe 5 feet 2. Her boobs had the perfect size and her ass.. juicy and big just like he loved it. Lando swallowed dryly when his brain started to imagine things which weren’t appropriate, since he didn’t even know her. But the way she moved and smiled into the crowd made him feel as if he would’ve never not known her. He didn’t notice how Charles looked to him, smirking like an idiot.
When the dance was over, the girls saluted and smirked before disappearing from stage. Lando swallowed again and grabbed Charles water bottle to take a sip. “Don’t look at me like that” he said and Charles chuckled. The next dances were also incredibly good, but not one could compare to the girls dance.
The last dance was announced and it was the one from Lily´s favourite dance crew, now with every member. About 30 people were entering the stage and Lando was looking for his girl, but he couldn’t spot her.
They were dancing to a mash up, a mix from various songs. When the song “Naughty Girl” from Beyonce came on, his girl was in front again, with a guy. The song was remixed and they were dancing along, moving their bodies to the beat. Lando didn’t like the guy, of course not. He didn’t understand what was going on with him, he didn’t even know her name but he already felt overly  possessive.
The choreography was incredible and everybody stood up, applauding and cheering. It was pretty sure that they´ve won the final and they were hugging each other.
After the show, Lily turned to the boys. “I´d like to say hello to my friend backstage, care to join me?” Charles clapped his hand on Lando´s back. “Of course we do!” he said and laughed while Lando was rolling his eyes. They made their way through a hallway to get behind the stage, where Lily screamed when she saw her friend. To Lando´s disappointment it wasn’t his girl. “You were amazing!!!” Lily screamed and hugged her tightly. They were chatting about this and that, when the dancer looked at the drivers. “It´s so nice to meet you all! Oh my god, my friend is in love with Formula One, I will get her so she can meet you if that’s okay?” she asked and the drivers nodded. “Yeah, sure. Bring her over”, Charles said and smiled, also hoping it was the girl Lando liked. He knew that he had a rough time with girls in the past, he would be happy for him if he met her, especially since he had been so fond of her during the show. Charles had to hide his grin when Lily´s friend came back with exactly that brown haired girl Lando watched on stage.
Lando couldn’t stop looking at her. Her face and her blue eyes were glowing and she blushed a little when she stood in front of the drivers. “Guys, this is y/n”, Lily´s friend introduced her and she smiled. “It´s so nice to meet you, really. I´ve been a Formula One fan since I can remember”, y/n said and Lando´s heart skipped a beat.
Her voice sounded exactly like he imagined it. Sweet but not too high pitched. Y/n looked at the drivers and stopped at Lando, simply because his ocean blue eyes were locked with hers. He quickly ran his hand through his hair and smiled. Everybody around noticed the tension and Lily and her friend chuckled. “Hey, we always go to a pub and have dinner after a show, why don´t you guys join us?” she suddenly said and y/n smiled big. Everybody agreed and the dancers left to change their outfits and to freshen up a little.
“So, Lando. She´s cute huh?” Lily asked and smirked while Lando pressed his lips together. “Yeah”, he stated and blushed a little. “Mate, I´ve never seen you that smitten over somebody. We´ll make sure you sit next to each other”, George laughed.
Just a bit later they were all gathered around a round table in a corner of a pub, ordering some fries, hamburgers and drinks. As promised, the guys managed to have Lando sat down next to y/n who smiled at him. She always thought that he was incredibly good looking and now that she met him she noticed that he was even more adorable. His curls screamed for her attention but she guessed it would be a bit weird to just ask him if she could touch his hair. Everybody was involved in talks so Lando turned to her. “So, when did you start dancing? You were incredible on stage today”, he said and smiled shily. Y/n blushed a little and smiled. “I started when I was twelve, so I´m doing it for like 12 years now. I´m 24”, she said and he smiled. “´99 girlie hm?” he laughed and she chuckled, nodding.
They continued with the small talk and everybody around the table could see the sparks flying between the two of them. “Have you ever been to a race?” Lando asked eventually and y/n shook her head, disappointed. “No, I haven’t. I already wanted to come to the one in Silverstone but the tickets are honestly so expensive-“ she stopped talking, embarrassed of that she just admitted to not have enough money to afford a Grand Prix ticket. Lando tilted his head a little when she blushed. He smiled lightly and took her hand in his. “I think that the tickets are way too expensive, y/n. So you don’t need to be ashamed of not being able to afford it. I actually think most people can´t.” She nodded slowly. “How about I take you to the paddock this weekend?” he asked and smirked, showing her his little gap between his teeth. She had to chuckle and her eyes started to shine again. “Really? I would love that! I mean only if it´s no problem of course”, she said and he laughed. “It would be my pleasure.”
Saturday came and y/n made her way to the paddock entrance. She arrived in Silverstone yesterday and Lily got her the pass so that she wouldn’t have a problem to get in. Lando was already waiting for her and pulled her into a warm hug. “I´m so glad you came”, he whispered in her ear, sending shivers down her spine. “I can´t believe I´m finally here”, y/n said with a big smile. She followed Lando to his garage, stayed there while he absolved his last practice session. She was so excited when Qualifying started and even more when Lando got fastest lap in Q1. She jumped off her chair and cheered, a few faces looking at her, smiling. It´s been a while since Lando brought a girl to the garage and they were happy seeing him so happy. During the short break between Q1 and Q2 Lando hopped out of the car to head to y/n. “Oh my god, Lan you were flying!” she cheered and he smiled big. “Be my lucky charm for the next round okay?” he asked with a wink before he disappeared again. Y/n couldn’t stop smiling, the butterflies flying around in her stomach. Lando drove out of the garage and managed to be fastest in Q2 again, due to some issues Red Bull and Ferrari seemed to face.
Before Q3 started, a mechanic came up to y/n with a headset. “He wanted you to wear that, so you can hear him in the car”, he said and her eyes widened. She took the headset and put it over her ears. “Be ready for me taking Pole, honey”, Lando whispered and she immediately turned into a tomato, a few engineers around her chuckling from his words.
Y/n bit her nails while Lando was flying over the track, being faster than anybody else. Unfortunately, Max Verstappen was also on a very good lap. This was a matter of a few thousands of a second. Max crossed the finish line, beaming himself up on Pole Position but Lando just turned into the last corner. “Come on, come on!” y/n whispered excitedly and again jumped off when Lando crossed the finish line and put his name on the top of the grid list. “Yes!!!” she yelled and hopped up and down. Lando´s car got pulled into the garage and he stood up, quickly removing his helmet and his balaclava. His eyes were searching for her but she already was storming towards him. “You made it!!” she screamed and hugged him in stormy embrace. He put her face between his hands and smirked. “You really are my lucky charm, hm?” he asked before he pressed his lips on hers.

Hello Sofia! My name is Aleksandra! Just wanted to send a request of Zoro x reader where reader has just joined the crew she is a witch and very strong, sweet, but could be intense (in a good way) as well as mysterious everyone in the crew absolutely loves her but it takes time for Zoro to completely trust her so he keeps his eye on her causing them both to have some tension some days they are arguing over tiny situations some days they are sitting alone together laughing and smiling at one another with feelings building up that they have yet to understand even though they are confused with their feelings their connection runs deeply to the point it drives them insane everyone else in the crew see's this (Besides our dear Luffy.) They try to get them to open up but it's hopeless at times. I was thinking Zoro gets a deep cut during a fight and Reader helps him with his wound this is where they are able to share their feelings and once they deeply kiss they understand how they feel from there.
I hope this is a good one to do! Thank you!✨🌻✨
I would love to be tagged at!💜 @shewalksinanotherworld
This took a little bit longer and I have nothing to say for myself except that my executive function does not, in fact, function. Enjoy! @shewalksinanotherworld Enjoying my work? You can leave me a tip on Ko-Fi | Have a request?
"The way to a man's heart" - Zoro x Reader
[graphic descriptions of open wounds]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Somebody once said that love and hate are two sides of the same coin - a token of devotion. Like tides of two seas that create storms and whirlpools upon meeting, it is often impossible to determine where one ends and the other begins. Perhaps, these waters have never differed as they are two ends of one river. Both lovers and enemies alike make up the first row of the funeral cortege.
And just like those seas, no matter whether they are the same or two different bodies, Zoro and you seem to be ebbing and flowing across love and hate. Flipping the coin of dedication each day to see where your tense relationship will take you. Sometimes more than once a day, when mere hours separate passionate fights from merry laughter.
But speaking of turning tides and seamlessly flowing waters, wouldn't the seas know each other far too well? What constitutes oceans of hate was once the pond of love. Conversely, the waters of affection had once flown as tides of enmity. If the answer is yes, it would explain quite a lot about the rather inexplicable connection you share with the swordsman. Sometimes not a word has to be spoken but a fleeting gaze exchange for either of you to know perfectly well what the other has on their mind.
To be fair, it's hard for you to put your finger on the why - Why are you and Zoro so strange with each other? The most plausible explanation would probably be his stubborn distrust. He's a very guarded person which, by itself, is not unfathomable considering his journey and livelihood. But it is absolutely tedious when he sticks to his guns against all available evidence. Weeks went by when Zoro was the only crewmember who perceived you in different shades of suspicion, even after witnessing you put your life on the line for your mutual friends. His stubbornness was frustrating, so you gave him as good as you got and well... Here we are, wading in the murky waters of passion, both pleasant and adverse.
However, you'll be wading much different waters, those flowing in the Styx River, if you don't escape now. The Indigo Cross pirates are a little too close behind you. You can almost feel their breaths on your neck as they scream about revenge, bloodshed and defending their captain's honour. Yes, about that... It wasn't exactly Luffy's fault that the man he told to apologize to the tavern waitress was the world's most narcissistic pirate. Alas, the damage is done and so is your chance at a peaceful shore leave.
The Merry Go is but a few meters away. You just have to get to the gangway and run up the stairs so fast your mother would go bald from stress. Just two things, right?
Your foot gets caught the between rotting planks of the pier. The unforeseen obstacle in your escape startles you, giving you barely any time to shield your face from the painful impact of the ground.
"Shit!" you groan to yourself, yanking your foot.
Zoro yells out your name. In long strides, he catches up with you. He manages to rip away one of the mould-covered planks. Despite your foot being set free, the man lifts you to stand on your own.
"You go, I'll hold them back," he orders you as he nudges you in the direction of the ship. Before you can defy him, Zoro is already running towards the oncoming wave of looking-for-a-scrap pirates.
Time seems to slow down as you watch a spear, its polished head shining in the sunlight, fly through the air and pierce Zoro's chest. He stumbles backwards and falls on one knee. With a roar of agony, the swordsman grabs the long shaft of the weapon. A loud snap fills the air as he breaks the wood off. Then, like a phoenix rising from the ashes,, Zoro stands up. Although his legs tremble slightly, he still lifts his swords and fights off the Indigo pirates. Some seem to drop their weapons in surrender, seeing that not even death can grasp this demon of a man.
You want to call for him but Sanji firmly grabs your arm and pulls you on board. "Come on, he can handle himself."
Having hidden on the lower deck, you're not sure what happened on the shore and onboard the ship until you saw none other but Roronoa Zoro, stumbling down the stairs and almost falling on the floor. Luffy, Usopp and even Sanji yell and nag at him to get his wound looked at while Nami keeps calling him different variations of "stupid" but Zoro only curses at them and tells a less savoury "Leave me alone".
Maybe thirty minutes pass by until the emotions die down or are at least well hidden. Your four friends sit around the kitchen, all strangely silent. They all give you a curious look when you let out a heavy sigh and march towards Zoro's room. He's going to die one day, obviously, but it's not going to be today. And definitely not because he put your safety before his own. What kind of rom-com death would that be?
Zoro is facing you with his back when you swing the door open without even knocking first. You seem to have interrupted his rather poor attempt at bandaging the hole in his chest. He looks over his shoulder, his face bearing an expression of annoyance.
"What do you want?"
You toss a handful of medical supplies on top of the chest with his belongings. The fresh dressings, a small bottle of alcohol, a needle and a thread tell quite the story, lying next to the bloodied head of a spear with splinters coming out of where the long shaft should be. It's still hardly believable what he did back there.
"When you get an infection, you green-haired idiot," you speak with your hands crossed on your chest. It's clear as day - you're pissed off, "it will be Sanji spoon-feeding you. I'm sure you'll be having the time of your life then."
Your sarcastic remark doesn't seem to phase him. The wrinkle between Zoro's eyebrows only gets deeper.
"I'm fine. I've been worse," he says with an exasperated sigh. "Just piss off," the man groans in a low voice.
Maybe if he wasn't already injured, you'd punch him straight in the jaw. "Stop being a stubborn ass," you raise your voice, "and let me help you."
Zoro rolls his eyes dramatically. Making a show of his discontentment, he sits on the edge of his hammock. If he was just a few yours younger maybe he'd stomp his feet too, as befits a toddler he seems to have chosen to act like.
Minutes go by in silence as you clean the deep would and do your best suturing it. Meanwhile, Zoro doesn't even wince. He's perfectly calm and collected, almost as though his soul has left his body and gone for a stroll.
By the looks of it, you haven't stitched wounds many times and Sanji would probably be better at this, with his experienced hands and all, but that would require Zoro to be either already dead or at least unconscious. There's no other way he'd willingly let those slimy fingers touch him.
“They say that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach," you say under your breath as you tighten the knot on the last suture. The last thing you want is the deep wound reopening. "I guess going through his ribs works too.”
"A lot more efficient." The swordsman chuckles but his laughter soon turns into winces and groans. Although he's not going to bleed to death anymore, the rather large hole in his chest is this painful and not something to trifle with.
"A spear nearly pierced right through you and you're having a laugh?" You nod with approval. He's impressed you, you have to give him that. "Roronoa Zoro, you command respect."
A silence falls between you again as you put back the collection of medical supplies you've managed to find aboard. Little do you know, Zoro's watchful gaze doesn't leave you. He seems to be intensely thinking about something.
"Thanks," he finally spits out. "I would rather die than let Sanji spoon-feed me."
It's not the wraith of death that scared him into letting you patch him up - it was the cook in a striped shirt. Really? Roronoa Zoro is a lot of things but "ordinary" or "predictable" is not one of them.
You burst into laughter. "Unfortunately," you manage to breathe out, "I would have loved to see that."
He shakes his head in disapproval but his lips are curved into a grin. "I hate you."
"No, you don't, big guy," you answer as you playfully poke his arm. It's still covered in dried blood and sweat.
His dark eyes stare into yours with a strange glint to them. It's almost like amusement but not entirely - it's deeper, much deeper. "Yeah, I don't," he whispers.
Everything happens so fast: Zoro grabs your neck and pulls you flush against himself, crashing his lips against yours. Involuntarily you yelp, which elicits a chuckle from the man. On one hand, you're surprised with his sudden declaration of passion but on the other hand, you're relieved. Of course, you have joked that Zoro must be in love with you to be so annoying most of the time but rarely did you consider it a real possibility. He just... didn't seem like a man who loves, only desires. But now, when he's kissing you so desperately and eagerly, you feel stupid for ever thinking such thoughts. As his hand roams your body, you begin to wonder whether all of this has always been this funny - every one of your friends already knew the feelings you had for each other, except the two of you. Something so obvious it's easily overlooked.
It makes you think that he was, actually, scared of losing but not his life. He was scared of losing someone.

Pandora's Box II (Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader)
Tumblr media
(Not my gif. Credits to the creator!)
------------------
Author Masterlist / Author Taglist / Part I
------------------
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Summary: Reader doesn't know what to think after the kiss between Spencer and Cat. Insecurities about their marriage surface in both Reader and Spencer. How severe will the consequences of what Cat did be?
Word Count: 4.1k
Warnings: Most of Spencer's traumas are only mentioned (Hankel, Dilaudid, Diana's illness, etc.). Angst and a lot of inner thoughts (I mean it: a lot). But not despair, my friends, happy ending.
A/N: Hello! Here is part two of Pandora's Box. Thanks a lot for all your comments, likes, and reblogs on part I.
------------------
Spencer's POV
Cat did it again. No. Scratch that. I did it again.
I'm still seeing her eyes full of betrayal. God, how did I let this happen? How I was not able to think of something else to do. I'm so stupid!
I thought about running after her to stop her and convince her to go home with me. But I know (Y/N), and it would have been worse to insist when it was clear that she was shocked and hurt.
That leads me to now be in our shared bed, staring at the ceiling as I sink into my own mortification. Emily and JJ called me several times during the night, but I didn't feel like talking to anyone. I just texted them that (Y/N) was fine, but I screwed it up, and she hated me now. I don't know why I thought that would stop the calls. It was the opposite, but I decided to ignore my phone from there. I knew that (Y/N) would not call or text me either. Besides her getting rid of her cell phone, I was the last person she wanted to talk to.
How do I fix this?
The more I thought about it, the more complicated it became. We were not only talking about me kissing Cat Adams. It was more than that. And even if (Y/N) didn't go further saying how bad she was feeling, she slipped a hint. And it hurt. It hurt to know I was hurting her. Maybe Cat was right. I was not made to have a normal life and be loved like that. Perhaps I didn't deserve her.
Spencer, stop it! Don't fall into Cat's game. She wanted this to happen. She wanted to ruin your marriage, I repeated myself.
The funny thing is maybe I ruined it first.
Tossing and turning, I couldn't find a way to fall asleep. That brought me to the months I spent in jail when I barely slept an hour in a row. Endless nights were I missed (Y/N) 's body next to me. Nights where I swore to myself that if I made it out of there, I wouldn't waste another minute without making her my wife. So I did it. The very day I was released from Milburn, I got down on one knee and proposed to her. No ring involved, just a promise to spend the rest of my life with her, loving her and raising a family.
Two years since that, and now I think about the things I promised and what I have fulfilled. I feel terrible realizing that I have failed her.
Tiredness got me at some point, but my brain didn't stop working. I dream about (Y/N). It was a sweet dream that turned into a nightmare when she told me it was over. That ours was over.
I woke up sweating and screaming.
I couldn't let that happen. I wouldn't let my incompetence makes me lose the best thing that had happened to me in life.
After showering and getting dressed early in the morning, I went to our habitual coffee shop and bought her favorite coffee and donut. I stopped by her dad's and left a bag with the treats and a note. A tiny gesture compared to the mess I had made, but I needed to tell her I was there even if she didn't want to see me.
-
Reader's POV
I couldn't sleep. I just couldn't.
After explaining the previous day's chaos to my dad - partially though, because I didn't want to give in to the embarrassing details - he let me stay in my old bedroom.
Every time I closed my eyes, I could see Spencer kissing that psycho over and over again.
I could see how his hands held her head, his eyes closed, lost in the sensation. Their lips moving in unison. His body pressed against hers.
Has he ever kissed me like that? Yes. He has. That is precisely the way I liked to be kissed.
When we started dating, Spencer was so shy at first, but he freed all the passion within him over time. I always wished to be the only one to see and feel him like that. And I really thought I would be the only one with that privilege. It seems I was wrong.
Why does it hurt so much? I mean, Spencer wouldn't do that to me, much less with that crazy bitch, right? I could bet he did not even want to do it.
Maybe it's the fact that there's a fucking Jiminy Cricket in my ear telling me things between Spencer and I aren't going well, and this shit is another proof that there will always be something interfering between us.
It terrifies me to think this could lead to the end of us, but I can't deny the idea has been on my mind for a while. It's true that we have never talked about it. It's true I have tried to deny that Spencer's absence affects me more than I let on. Has he noticed anyway? I'm afraid to know.
The next morning when I got to the kitchen, I saw my dad making coffee. Over the counter was a paper bag with my name written on it. It's Spencer's. I would recognize that handwriting anywhere.
"You don't have to open it," my dad told me, sensing the internal debate in my head. "I just brought it inside so you can decide if you want to do it or not."
It wasn't the only decision I needed to make, though.
Curiosity got the best of me. Inside the bag was my favorite coffee and donut. Of course Spencer knew it. Tucked in the coffee cup holder was a note.
'My love. Don't think this is me hoping that with just a coffee and a donut, you would forgive me. It is just a way to tell you I'm thinking of you. We have so much to talk about, but I won't push you to do it until you're ready. Please, only remember that I'm here, and I love you. Always yours, SR.'
Tears clouded my vision. I love him. That's not in discussion. But to be with someone is more than to feel love. It's about giving and receiving. It's about comprehending and being comprehended. It's partnership and complicity, things that have been away from us for a while. I will not blame Spencer for that because I have much to do with it. I should have said something. Is it too late now?
I took the lid off and sipped the coffee. I was thinking of him too.
-
Spencer's POV
Three days. The longest days of my life. Am I overstating? I don't think so. Because even if we had been apart for longer than three days, these circumstances made it worse.
The anxiety was killing me. Those days I went to work by inertia, unable to concentrate or be useful in any way. It was hard not to go over the last few months in my head. The signs, the unsaid things. The looks of disappointment when at any moment, the phone rang, and I had to leave.
Prentiss caught me deep in thought that afternoon.
"You okay?"
"Uh - yeah. I just got distracted. Sorry," I apologized. Emily shook her head and sat beside me.
"We both know it is more than that. Do you want to talk about it?"
I sighed, leaning back in the chair. I had the question on the tip of my tongue.
"Do you think fifteen years is a long time?"
Emily raised an eyebrow, trying to decipher the question's implication, but I knew she understood why I was asking.
"Well, I guess it depends on what you compare to," she ventured with a reassuring smile.
"I mean, doing this job. I had spent my whole adult life in the BAU. And don't get me wrong, I love my job-" I trailed off.
"But?"
"I love (Y/N) too, and I'm not good enough conciliating this job with my marriage. I can't make it work as JJ does," I confessed.
"If it is the case, having some time off should work to return some balance, but something tells me it's not the biggest problem," Emily asserted. Of course she did. She knew me better: it was more than the lack of time.
I chuckled bitterly.
"We have been only married for two years, and I feel I have failed her too much already. I mean, I was the one who said I needed to slow down after everything that had happened in Milburn. (Y/N) has been by my side in so many hard times. She was the first one I told about my addiction. She was there after the Anthrax episode. She took care of me when I got shot in Texas. I ran to her when they told me about my mom's Alzheimer's. Then jail happened. What else would she have to put up with? JJ's confession and being kidnapped by a cult. And now Cat again? Fuck, she saw me kissing her! The same woman who framed me for murder. How twisted is it?"
"She loves you too much," Emily pointed, trying to get me out of my rabbit hole.
"And I love her, but I always find a way to show otherwise, uh?" I mocked myself. I really felt like I was screwing up over and over.
"Spencer, none of those things have been your fault."
And maybe Prentiss was right. That didn't exempt me from my blindness, though.
"But it's been enough to have done something about it. Emily, I couldn't bear to lose her."
I could feel the lump forming in my throat.
"Spencer, she knows you love her. She married you for who you are. You just told me she has been with you in the toughest moments. You won't lose her."
How can she be so sure? I knew things never last long. I have seen people leaving me before.
"You know? It breaks my heart when I have to leave every time. (Y/N) always says she understands my job and never has demanded something from me. Still, I know she worries as hell every time I'm in the field, and I know there have been moments when she needed me, and I couldn't be there for her. I'm her husband! I promised to be there for her! Having more time could help, yeah, but I'm tired of this rhythm. I'm tired of being on the tightrope. I'm tired of the Tobias Hankels, the Cat Adams, the Mr. Scratchs-"
I had to stop my rant because I got out of breath.
"Well, if this is the matter, I think fifteen years is a long time then," Emily told me with a knowing look, patting my shoulder.
As a cue, my phone got a text: 'Are you in town? Can we talk?'
-
Reader's POV
Not two minutes had passed since I sent the text, and Spencer had answered, asking me when and where we would meet.
I figured it would be a complicated conversation, so I suggested it be in our apartment after work that day.
It's not like I wanted to torture Spencer for three days before to talk to him, but the events with Cat triggered a series of thoughts I didn't want to admit before. And the truth is, I wasn't sure how to deal with this. In fact, standing in front of the door and about to open it, I'm still not entirely sure what to say, just sure we can't keep putting this conversation off.
"Hi," Spencer said when he saw me. He was still in his work attire; only the tie was missing.
I returned a tight-lipped smile, stepping into the apartment.
I turned after closing the door, and Spencer just stood there, fidgeting with his hands. He was nervous, and so did I.
"Coffee?" He offered. I shook my head.
"No, thank you."
"O-okay," he mumbled, moving to the living room and gesturing to the couch for us to sit on.
Now we were both seated, maintaining a safer distance between us. Someone needed to break the silence. Spencer cleared his throat before speaking.
"About the kiss, (Y/N), I'm so sorry-" I cut him off.
"Spencer, not that yet. You need to start telling me what happened. It still confuses me how we ended in your old apartment with Cat Adams there."
Spencer nodded and recalled the events of that day: since the moment Penelope called him when we were at the coffee shop to him and Cat at the threshold, kissing.
After hearing the whole story, I couldn't understand how someone could set up something so elaborate to annoy someone else. Well, I don't know why I should be surprised; we were talking about Cat Adams, after all.
"Okay. So you thought a family and I were in danger. And she demanded a kiss. And you thought that would help," I filled. Spencer sighed, looking at his hands on his lap.
"Honestly? I didn't think anything. I felt trapped and knew I had no leverage on her. The opposite, actually. She was in control. I let her have me at her mercy," he confessed.
Spencer at Cat's mercy. Well, it wasn't the first time.
"You didn't seem troubled kissing her," I said bitterly. "I know it sounds childish, but you haven't kissed me like that in what? Months? It felt like I was nothing in your life, Spencer. It was like I didn't even exist and was watching a movie."
My voice cracked a bit while saying those words. Even imagining that I might not exist to Spencer made my stomach churn. It was worse to think I had already been losing him for a while or that perhaps he was never mine.
"(Y/N), that's not true. I -" Spencer tried to rebut quickly. I could feel the guilt in him.
"Spencer, it's okay. I can understand you were under pressure. But it was the way I felt. What would you think if your wife made out with the person who made her life a living hell for a long time?" It was a rhetorical question, though, because I would never do that to him.
"I know. And you might not believe me, but I was thinking of you. You were in my mind at that moment. Cat told me to do it as if she were you," he acknowledged. That didn't make me feel better. I let him know that.
"And you complied. That's the thing, Spencer. It's not the kiss itself; it's the fact you did what she told you. Again."
Spencer averted his gaze from me. He was embarrassed, and I hated being responsible for doing that, but he needed to know. I was done keeping things to myself.
"That makes me realize you're still caught up in her twisted game. Cat will never stop tormenting you, and I don't know what else I can do to help you. And it hurts me because I feel I'm not enough, Spencer. I'm not enough to really be by your side and be who you need."
Treacherous tears began to run down my cheeks. That was the admission I didn't want to reveal. After all these years, I thought, at some point, I could be in tune with Spencer's life. That's why I never said anything. I yet harbored the hope of living up to his expectations all this time.
"Don't say that! It's not true!" He argued, scooting closer to me on the couch, no longer afraid of proximity. "You are everything and more that I have ever needed and wanted. God. I love you, (Y/N). If anything, it's me who feels not worthy of your love. And I'm sorry, you are the most important person in my life, and I haven't shown you that."
"Then why do I feel then we are falling apart, Spencer? It's me imagining things?"
Spencer shook his head, a tentative hand reaching mine. I doubted for a second, but I welcomed his touch.
"It's my fault you're feeling this way. Believe me; you didn't do anything wrong."
His fingers stroking my hand resembled the way his touch always comforted me. In other circumstances, I would have believed nothing had changed between us.
"Are you sure? It's like we're becoming a couple of strangers. And I cannot understand if something about me bothers you or if I am simply indifferent to you. You don't trust me the way you used to."
I retracted my hand to protect myself from the pain it would surely follow when Spencer acknowledged I wasn't the person he wanted anymore.
"I know I have been pushing you away, but it's not because I didn't trust you. It's just I have been putting so many of my problems over your shoulders that I didn't want to overwhelm you. I'm sorry for not being honest with you," Spencer said, maintaining eye contact as if he wanted to imprint his apology on me. My lips quivered, and I was doing everything to not cry.
"Spencer, I'm your wife. It is supposed we lean into each other!" I complained. How was it possible he still did not understand he is not a damaged good and deserves understanding and support.
"And you always have been there for me. But what has happened the times that you have needed me? I am away most of the time, which is unfair to you. I'm your husband, and I should have been here."
His voice broke at the end. And it hurt me because that has happened more than once, but I decided not to say anything before.
"Spencer, I knew your job when we married," I reminded him. It was the truth. I knew what I had signed for. Spencer shook his head nevertheless, blinking back tears.
"That doesn't mean I don't do anything about it. I just let it pass. And it was wrong. You were uncomfortable enough to tell me you were worried or disappointed because of my job."
I looked away as I listened to Spencer describe my behavior over the past few months. It was hard to admit that I feared what it would mean to us if we discussed it. It seemed childish, perhaps, but like a scared child, I didn't want to feel vulnerable, saying it affected me.
"But it's what you do. It's your life. You chose to be a profiler, and you save people every day."
That was far more important, wasn't it?
"But I chose you too. And you are part of my life too." Now he had hunched before me, gently placing his hands on my knees. "Do you remember what I told you when I proposed?" He asked, smiling fondly.
Of course I remembered. After living apart for three months because Spencer was in jail, the moment of our reunion was one of the most emotional things I have experienced.
"Besides telling me you loved and wanted to marry me?" I replied - a blush creeping my face at the memory.
"Yeah, that too. I told you I wanted everything with you. I told you I didn't want to spend another minute without you. You make me whole and feel alive (Y/N). That's far more important than catching monsters and consuming my life for them."
Grabbing one of my hands, he brought it to his lips, planting a loving kiss. His gaze never left mine, and I could feel like my heart skipped a bit.
"What do you mean?" I asked in a whisper. He returned a smile, tucking a hair strand behind my ear.
"That I'm done. Fifteen years is more than enough, and if this job continues cracking the good things in my life, I don't want it."
I wondered if I was listening wrong or if my mind was playing tricks on me. I needed clarification.
"What? Are you saying-" Spencer cut me off, nodding his head.
"There are so many things we dreamed of doing together. Do you recall our plan to stay a whole winter in a cabin in the woods? Or the trip to Greece? The idea of moving to the suburbs?"
"Do you still remember all that?" I asked in disbelief. That seemed a lifetime ago. We had so many plans and ideas, but I thought this would only form part of an unfulfilled desire, of our youthful and innocent desire to achieve something different from what we were used to. I often felt those plans were a way of escaping from our daily life full of pain, ghosts, and fears.
"Of course I do! And it's not because I have an eidetic memory. If I didn't, I would remember it anyway because I still want those things. With you."
Stroking my cheek with his palm, Spencer looked at me intensely as he didn't want to miss any of my microexpressions. I felt bare before him, but it didn't feel odd or wrong. If anything, it felt like he was seeing into my heart and soul. I have missed that.
"Spencer, you don't have to. You are a profiler, and you save lives. Your life has been the BAU," I reminded him. I didn't want him to be doing this just because we were in a rough patch and for it to be something he would regret for the rest of his life.
"It has been, but I don't want it to continue to be. It's a job (Y/N). One that has given me a lot of satisfaction but also a lot of pain and has consumed me. I want that to change. I want us to be able to make plans and stick to them. I want that family we talk about so much. Sure, if it's something you still want," he pointed out carefully. My eyes widened.
"You say, kids?" Spencer nodded eagerly.
"Yes. Kids. Little you's and me's running around in our new house. Whom I want to rock to make them sleep, who I want to teach them things, take them to the park, and play with them," Spencer enthusiastically described. It had been a long time since I had seen him that way. I couldn't stop my lips from forming a smile. "Do you still want that?" His excitement changed to the expectation to know my answer.
"Yes, I do," I acknowledged, my eyes filling with tears at the thought that this could be a reality one day. Spencer beamed.
"Then let's have the rest of our lives like we want them to be," he offered. It was like we were saying our vows, like the day we married.
"Are you sure? Spencer, I don't want you to feel like you have-" Before I could say anything else, Spencer gently placed a finger over my lips.
"Hey. It's been a long time since I was so sure about anything. Baby, I love you. I want us, always. Will you accept this fool man, who is madly in love with you, as your husband again?"
His eyes were full of hope, illuminated by the glow of the lighted lamp in the living room. The man hunched before me was the love of my life. The man I chose to spend the rest of my days with. I could feel the sincerity in his gaze, the transparency of the shared longing that made me fall for him years ago.
"I do," I whispered, leaning down and tenderly cupping his cheeks. "May I kiss the husband?" Spencer chuckled, nodding and leaning forward until our lips met in a passionate kiss. Spencer's hands moved up to hold the back of my head as my arms flew to the back of his neck - our lips molding like they were meant to be. The time stopped, and nothing else mattered. I was there with him, and he was there with me.
That kiss sealed our complicity and love's declaration. A kiss that Cat Adams would never have the privilege of experiencing despite the many Pandora's boxes she tried to open.

Dragons Rising Lloyd/Akita Reunion, cuz the show hasn't given it to me yet.
Lloyd and the kids are on their way to the First Realm, but run into an old familiar face along the way. Definitely a little flirty, but can still be read as platonic.
No one could quite pin down what was wrong with the trees around them. They were too straight. Too baren. Too… something. It was as if they had somehow noticed a change about this place which they had no familiarity with. Perhaps it was just the overcast day and the subtle winds which made the wood seem so ominous, or perhaps there was something more sinister going on. Either way, the feeling between the group was palpable- they were lost.
“You sure you know where we’re going?” Sora asked. “This doesn’t really seem like a trail anymore.”
“That’s because it’s a shortcut,” Lloyd assured her, holding up the map. “Or at least… I think it is.”
“I might have preferred the main path if it had less of a creepy forest vibe than this one,” Arin added, looking skeptically up at the trees.
Lloyd closed the map, confident in his direction. “Look, this will save us two whole hours, the only reason it’s typically avoided is because this forest is supposedly cursed.”
“You know, you had the option of not telling us that,” Arin groaned.
“Trust me, the last thing you want is your teacher keeping things from you,” Lloyd mused.
“Did you guys hear that?” Sora broke in.
“Hear what?” Arin asked.
Lloyd held his hand up, stopping the group. “No, I heard it too.”
The three stood in silence for a moment, listening for the sound to come again. It was hard to discern through the light winds humming through the branches, but it was there: the sound of living movement.
“You two stay close,” Lloyd instructed his students, continuing to scan the treeline. He squinted through the homogeneous rows of bark surrounding them, but still couldn’t see where the noise sourced from. Erring on the side of caution, his hand began to reach back for his sword. However, before he could even make contact with the metal, a flash of white burst towards him, knocking him to his back. The movement was accompanied by a deep growl, and a sharp scream from either side of him.
Lloyd felt strangely overpowered by the weight which fell on his chest. It came in two pointed placements and pressed in a way which seemed to go through him, taking with it most of his breath. The noise he heard was unequivocally animal, and the vigor which restrained him matched that assessment. As he squinted upwards at his attacker he was able to make out the beast's face. A wolf- but not just any wolf.
"Akita?" He used the last of his air to address the creature.
The growling stopped as the animal retreated, allowing Lloyd to sit up, and more importantly, breath.
The wolf now circled around him, bumping into his arms with a friendly familiarity.
"Hey, it's good to see you too," Lloyd chuckled.
"You know this dog?" Sora asked.
"I do!" Lloyd smiled. He looked into the animal's eyes fondly. "She was, um…"
There was a bright flash of light as the form before him began to shift. As the shock from the shine subsided, he made out the image of a woman reaching down to help him up. It was a familiar face, but a changed one. Her wild raven hair was much longer now, tied back into a tight ponytail which exploded behind her, and topped with her familiar animal adornment. Her figure was clothed largely in black, and fit to her body much more closely. On her were obviously several weapons, along with a number of other useful objects attached to her person directly. But her face seemed much the same, her smile just as shyly offered, and the marks which framed it right where he remembered them. "I'm an old friend," she finished.
Lloyd took her hand as a pair of awed marvelings came from the kids. Her strength easily tugged him upward, their eyes remaining locked as he made his ascent.
“I didn’t think you were- I mean-” Lloyd paused for a moment to avoid stumbling over himself any further. “I never thought I’d see you again.”
“I can’t say I thought the same.” Akita tightened her grip on his hand before finally letting it go.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Lloyd chuckled.
“It means Lloyd Garmadon seems like the type of person to turn up in unexpected places.” Akita smiled. “As you have!” She gestured to the forest around them.
“This is the girl from the Never-Realm!” Arin burst out, finally drawing their attention away from each other.
Lloyd glanced back and forth between him and Akita. “Yes, she is. How did you-?”
“Does this mean she’s the one that-”
“We don’t have to elaborate on that description,” Lloyd stopped him, feeling the blood rush to his cheeks. “Seems like you got it figured out.”
“I’m still lost,” Sora chimed in.
Lloyd let out a heavy sigh. “Sora, Arin, this is Akita, I met her on a mission a while back, she’s originally from the Never-Realm. Akita, this is Arin and Sora, they’re my… students.”
Akita was grinning wildly by this point. “Students, huh?” she turned her attention to the children in question. “What’s this idiot been teaching you?”
“He’s been training us to be ninja!” Arin jumped excitedly.
“He’s been training me to use my elemental power,” Sora added.
“I already taught myself the basics of spinjitzu,” Arin continued. “but it’s awesome having a teacher!”
“Self taught is the best way to learn,” Akita offered Arin a high five, which he eagerly reciprocated. “I like your ears,” Akita turned to Sora, pointing above her head. “You make them yourself?”
Sora reached up toward the accessory, pleasantly surprised. “Thank you, I… yeah.”
“What are you doing out here?” Lloyd asked, his attention still strongly attached to his rediscovered ally.
“I live here,” She shrugged. “I’m out collecting tree bark.” She tapped a small pouch that hung at her side. “What are you doing here?”
“What do you do with the tree bark?” Arin cut in.
Akita smiled, pulling out her dagger. “You peel it off, very carefully,” She placed her blade along the nearest tree, carefully shaving off a long strip of bark. “You take it home, clean it, dry it.” She tossed the piece to Arin, who caught it easily. “And it makes an excellent tea.”
Arin’s eyes had grown wide, Sora looking at it over his shoulder, her hands reaching for her pocket knife.
Having distracted the kids, Akita again turned to her new-found companion, quieting her voice.
“What are you doing here? No one ever comes through here.”
“We’re headed to the First Realm.” Lloyd answered, matching her tone. “We’ve got a whole dragon problem going on, and we think the realm of Oni and Dragon might have some answers.”
Akita’s face ruffled in confusion. “The First Realm?”
“Yeah,” Lloyd answered, a strain of uncertainty entering his tone.
Akita stared at him a moment in thought. “You’re almost certainly headed the wrong direction.”
“Really?” Lloyd sighed, reaching for his map.
“I told you we were lost!” Sora called over to them, now struggling with her knife against a nearby tree.
“We can’t be going the wrong direction. We’re right here,” Lloyd pointed on the map. “in the Unsleeping Woods-”
“No, right now we’re in the Forest of the Tamed.” Akita placed a finger a few inches away from Lloyd’s as his gaze froze on the spot.
“How could we have…”
“You probably mixed up the Forbidden Path with the Forsaken Path.” Akita took the map from his hands, tracing along the two trails. “The Forsaken Path takes you much farther North.”
“That… would do it.” Lloyd sighed.
“I’m sorry, we were on something called the Forsaken Path?” Arin butt in.
“Technically, I thought I was taking you on the Forbidden Path.” Lloyd corrected him.
“You do know that’s not better, right?” Arin groaned.
“Well, it’s far too late an hour for you to start that direction now.” Akita rolled up the map, handing it back to her companion. “But my camp is nearby, and I have plenty of extra space.”
Lloyd’s vision turned to his students, thinking for a moment.
“You are gonna let us hang out with the cool wolf-lady, right?” Sora asserted, bark strip in hand.
“Wait, does that mean this forest isn’t cursed?” Arin spoke up.
“Well, it's a different forest, but it could still be cursed.” Sora prodded him.
Lloyd turned back to Akita, his eyes narrow. “You sure we won’t be a bother to anyone?”
Akita smirked. “No one to be a bother to, except me. I’m a scout. I’m camped by myself in an abandoned fishing village. It’ll be nice to have the company,” she assured him.
Lloyd smiled, his mind still a mush at seeing the face in front of him. “You’re sure?”
Akita rolled her eyes, walking past him. “Come one everyone! Camp is just a few minutes west of here!”
Akita gingerly closed the door on the common building, a targeted grin on her lips. “So… Kids?”
“It’s a new development.” Lloyd shrugged, shrinking back a bit.
“No, I like it!” she quickly clarified. “The responsibility seems good for you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Lloyd chuckled, swinging off his backpack.
“It just means…” Akita thought for a moment. “Adulthood is a good look on you, that’s all.”
“Well, your new job looks good on you too,” Lloyd glanced up at her as he sat the pack on a bench near the door. “You seem like you make a great scout.”
“Well, I certainly did a good job of finding you,” she teased.
“It seems like a pretty important role. I bet Kataru is really proud!” Lloyd continued.
Akita was quiet for a moment, her demeanor falling. “Yes…”
Lloyd paused, studying her face. “Or not?” He offered.
Akita’s face hung before facing her companion. “Kataru didn’t make it through the merge.” The air in the room was suddenly filled with a thick stillness. “Most of my people didn’t.”
There was a beat of silence before Lloyd took her arm, guiding them both down to the bench. “Are you alright? I mean, I can’t imagine. Have you been by yourself all this time?”
“I’ve been fine,” Akita waved it off.
Lloyd’s face was stuck puzzled as he processed the new information. “I thought the Never-Realm had a lot of land carry over. The produce is all over the place.”
“Much of the realm did make it through.” Akita agreed. “But the majority of it is uninhabited wilderness… so that’s largely what survived.”
“Akita, I’m so sorry,” Lloyd placed a hand on her knee. “I had no idea.”
“My role as scout is the only reason I made it. If I had been home with my family, I would be gone with them.”
Lloyd felt the pain in her words, and could empathize all too easily. “You know, I lost my whole team in the merge. I thought I would never see them again. And I’ve found some of them since then, but I still remember how hard it was, thinking you’re absolutely alone like that. It can be so difficult just to find a reason to keep going.”
Akita looked back at her friend with pity. “Well, it’s nothing worth complaining about.” She pat his back as she stood, making her way further into the room.
“...what?” Lloyd turned over his shoulder to look back at her, thoroughly confused.
“Everyone lost things in the merge.” She shrugged. “We are not special. All that’s left to do is focus on what we do have.” Akita pulled out her dagger, moving to the water basin towards the back of the room to clean it. “I was lucky enough to make it through the merge, and with me came an abundance of territory I was familiar with and knew how to survive off of.” She glanced up from her work. “And now I’ve even found you. So that’s three things I have to my advantage.”
Lloyd sat on the bench, body twisted around, stunned for a moment. “I guess that’s one way of looking at things.”
“What’s the alternative?” Akita questioned.
“I don’t know. Feel your feelings a bit?” Lloyd offered. “Didn’t losing so much ever make you feel a little… I don’t know. Lost? Scared? Hopeless?”
There was a breath of silence as Akita pinpoint her words. “Loss is unavoidably painful, and I am not immune to pain.” Akita dried her dagger, it shining in the dim lantern light. “But giving up hope is the coward’s way out. It means you’ve decided you will no longer fight.” She stood up, starting back towards Lloyd. “And I am no coward.”
Lloyd sat with the statement, his eyes still caught on the shine of the dagger as she again approached the bench.
“You on the other hand,” she pointed the weapon at him with a smirk. “I’m not so sure.”
“Hey!” Lloyd laughed, standing to meet her height. “I’m plenty courageous!”
“Perhapps, but not that I’ve seen.” Akita shrugged, slipping the knife back into its scabbard.
“Not true.” Lloyd shook his head.
“What was the brave part? When I had to save you from wolves, or from the giant ice bird, or when you spilled out your feelings to an animal you thought couldn’t understand you,”
“Okay, okay,” Lloyd waved her off, still chuckling.
“-when your supposed friend very easily captured you, or when you ran away after a girl kissed you?”
“To be fair, she was a very intimidating girl,” Lloyd beamed.
Akita grinned, a bit of blush sneaking onto her cheeks. “Well, I don’t think she was trying to be… at the time anyway.”
Lloyd’s face tensed for a moment, his words hesitating. “I feel like I might need to apologize-”
“No, no!” Akita quickly cut him off. “You don’t need to-”
“Well, everything just ended so abruptly,” Lloyd shrugged. “I feel like maybe we didn’t get any proper closure because I had to leave-”
Akita scrambled for words. “I knew what I was doing, and that it would leave things…” a sigh of defeat left her lips. “It was just one of those silly teenage impulses,” she chuckled. Her frame had softened a drastic amount over the past few exchanges.
Lloyd sat with the statement for a moment, still unsure of how he felt about it. “Yeah… right,” he landed on matching her nervous chuckle, the room now palpably less fluid.
Akita leaned forward, attempting to ease the newfound tension. “Don’t worry, I’m sure it’s caused you much more distress than it ever has me.” A smile snuck onto her lips again. “Given your romantic history and all.”
Lloyd’s eyes playfully narrowed. “Low blow.”
“How has it been since then? Anyone else to add to the story?” Akita asked, starting towards one of the food storages.
Lloyd laughed to himself, loosely following her movements over to the large table at the center of the room. “Yeah actually, it’s… Harumi.”
Akita looked up from her search for a snack. “Again?”
“Yep,” Lloyd nodded, leaning back on the table.
“I thought she died.” Akita returned to her search, thoroughly confused.
“Well, she did. Or at least I think she did. But she got resurrected through like… dark magic I guess?”
Akita pulled out an orange from the pack. “So she came back. Was she different?” she asked, beginning to peel her snack. “Like she didn’t want to kill you anymore after the building collapse or..?”
Lloyd’s mouth hung agape, trying to avoid stating the inevitable. “No she… she still wanted to kill me.”
“And you still liked her?”
“Well, when you put it like that it sounds really bad!” Lloyd began to laugh.
“That is really bad!” Akita stressed, her too beginning to chuckle.
“Come on, I mean first crushes are always the hardest to shake, you know?”
“I do…” Akita’s smile landed quietly on her expression, her eyes darting back down to her orange as she finished peeling. “So, what happened with her?” She crossed the expanse between them to the table and leaned next to him.
“Well, she went to prison. She did a bunch of crazy stuff, so there was no way she was getting out of that.”
Akita offered him an orange wedge, which he promptly took. “Well, that will put a spike in things.”
He hummed in agreement as he finished chewing. “It’s probably for the better though. I do not think that relationship would have worked out.”
“No kidding,” Akita mused, popping another wedge into her own mouth.
“I mean she had a lot of trauma related to me, and I had a lot of trauma related to her. And now I don’t even know where she is after the merge.”
“Did the prison make it through?”
Lloyd nodded. “It did, but there was also a massive jailbreak during the chaos, so she could be anywhere. It’s possible she didn’t even make it through.”
Akita stared down at the orange cradled in her hands. “Do you… think about her much?”
Lloyd breathed a heavy sigh. “It’s been less as time goes on. But it’s hard not to wonder about her.” His voice had quieted dramatically. “I don’t even know if she ever had feelings for me. But I think there’s part of me that will always care about her, despite everything.” He rolled his eyes.
Akita held a glance over at him, her mind running with a thousand thoughts. “Maybe you just have a thing for women who try to kill you.”
His expression cracked again into laughter. “No, I don’t think so.”
“I don’t know, I don’t see any other reasonable explanation for your attachment to her.”
Lloyd smirked. “You know, you’re right. I can’t help it. I’m attracted to the danger.”
“No,” Akita shook her head. “I find it much more likely you enjoy feeling intimidated.”
“Is that why you attacked me out in the forest?” he teased. “So maybe your little crush would go somewhere?”
Akita smiled, her gaze returning forward. “You know, I did have a crush on you when you left.”
“Yeah?” Lloyd prompted her.
“I did.” Akita set the orange down next to her. “And I’ve spent most days after that wondering how on earth,” Lloyd began giggling. “that could ever have happened. I mean someone so annoying, immature, weak,”
“Okay-” Lloyd interjected.
“dorky, cocky, just generally unlikable as you,” Akita continued. “I wrote it off as a complete fluke fairly quickly.”
“Well, that’s great to know.” They both smiled at each other. Akita’s eyes broke first, a weakness entering her voice.
“But, I have to say, being here with you again,” She spoke, her voice almost a whisper. “...I get it.”
Her eyes remained firmly forward, refusing to perceive whatever reaction might come from her words.
Lloyd was pensive, a number of emotions beginning to manifest inside him. “You know, I meet a lot of people in a lot of different places doing my job,” he began. “And I always thought it was so unfair that the one person I wanted to see again the most, was the one person I couldn’t get to.”
Akita turned to glance at him again, his eyes ready to meet hers with an admiration that instantly encircled her gaze. A strain built between the two; she could almost swear it was physicalizing in the air around them.
Akita groaned, burying her head in her hands as her nerves caught up with her. “I did it last time- I’m not going to be the one to do it again.”
Lloyd giggled dizzily at her reaction. “You know, girls have only ever kissed me first. I don’t really have experience initiating things.”
Akita tilted her face back to him. “So, you’re saying you would want to kiss me right now?” she challenged.
Lloyd felt the blood rush further into his cheeks as he struggled for an answer. “I’m not saying that I… I mean you-”
Akita chuckled, straightening up to face him again, waiting for a response.
Lloyd sighed, his eyes refusing to leave hers as much as he wished he might be able to. “It’s just… silly teenage impulses.”

You hadn’t been in Port Angeles for long, about an hour at most. Your mom had dropped you off and told you to call her when you were ready to get picked up. She had errands of her own to run and didn’t want to drag you along or be dragged along to yours. Though that’s how it would normally go since it was just the two of you. Your older brother had gone off to college and your dad was in the wind.
You didn’t have many friends at school either deciding to lay low rather than mingle. You had hopes of moving out of town and going to college overseas, Cambridge to be exact. So the thought of friends seemed pointless when you’d be moving anyways. You did however have a couple unexpected acquaintances. The Cullen and Hale kids had for some reason grown to like you and you would occasionally spend time with Rosalie and Emmett or Alice.
When you mentioned to Rosalie and Emmett that you planned on running to Port Angeles they told you they might meet you. So it wasn’t a surprise when you got a message from Rosalie asking you where you were at. She also informed you it would only be her today as Emmett had to help Carlisie with something. You didn’t mind at all, it was always nice spending one on one time with Rosalie. You had a platonic relationship with the beautiful blonde. Until it turned more flirty with each other.
She had been the one to first initiate the banter. Which came as quite a shock to you since she was in a relationship with Emmett. But he never seemed to mind much and even encouraged the solo dates between you and his girlfriend. She had mentioned once that they had an open relationship and were free to do as they please.
That was a little shocking to you. Took some time for you to wrap your head around the fact you could still be friends with the beefy man and hopefully one day romantically involved with the goddess of a woman you had a massive crush on. You snapped back to reality when you felt your phone buzz again. You looked down seeing the message from Rosalie letting you know she was walking into the shop now.
“Hello there, gorgeous.” You heard her voice before you saw her. Turning you took her in hungrily. She always dressed so well, though you imagined she could be in a paper sack and still look like a walking god.
“Hiya Honey.” You replied, sending a wink her way. She gave you a teasing smile, pretty white teeth on full display.
“Let’s get going now. Alice needs me to pick up a few things for her while we’re out. I really don't want to hear her nag at me for taking forever.” You laughed heartily at her, knowing Alice she’d probably already texted the blonde a couple times asking where she was.
“Let’s go then.” She tucked her arm into your own before dragging you through the rows of clothes. She grabbed some that she wanted to see you in. You grabbed some you wanted to see her in. You had a mini fashion show in the dressing rooms. Compliments swimming through the air at each other as you went along.
“Are you hungry?” She asked you after another hour of shopping had passed. You shook your head humming in reply. She always made sure you were taken care of. It made your stomach tie up in nervous knots every time she cared for you.
“Wanna go and look at that book shop across town?” You perked up at that question. You were a fiend for a good book and Rosalie knew this. It was one of the many things she adored about you. A good contrast to the tall, muscular man she called her mate.
“Oh, can we please?” You begged her, grabbing at her jacket dramatically. She rolled her eyes as a small smile graced her lips.
“Of course we can darling.” She started leading you down the streets towards her car to drive you both to the bookstore. You were asking her about Emmett when you felt someone bump your shoulder. You stumbled a little but Rosalie caught you by your arm steadying you quickly.
“Are you fucking blind? Watch where you’re fucking going bitch.” The guy spat out at you. Rose was moving towards him before you had time to process the words. She grabbed his arm harshly. The guy winced as she squeezed her fingers around his bicep.
“What did you just say?” Her voice was stone cold as she spoke. His eyes flicked over towards you.
“I told the bitch to watch where she’s fucking going. She’s obviously fucking blind since she walked right into me.” You shrank back at the glare his eyes pointed at you.
“Apologize to her now.” You weren’t surprised at the authority laced into her tone. She had always carried an authoritative aura. This guy didn’t seem to take her seriously as he gave you another glare before he let out an awkward laugh.
“It was just a joke. Come on babe you know it was a joke right?” He asked you playfully, hoping you would save him from the blonde in between the two of you. You shook your head at him with wide eyes.
“Do you see her laughing?” She paused for a moment flicking her eyes towards you briefly. He shook his head this time as her hand gripped his arm even harder.
“Okay, then. Stop. Apologize to her now and I’ll let go.” She waited for a moment staring into his eyes.
“I’m sorry I ran into you. It won’t happen again.” You nodded your head in approval as Rosalie looked at you expectantly.
“Go in the car, I’ll be with you in about five minutes.” The blonde said to you with a reassuring smile. You knew better than to argue with her so you agreed promptly.
“Alright, try to hurry though. You don’t want to be late for Alice.” Your voice finally came back as you started walking down the street for her car. You saw her lead the guy into an alley as you got settled into the passenger seat. Then they were both exiting and he was holding his arm to his chest.
“You okay?” She asked as she slipped into the car. Not a single hair was out of place as she settled into her seat.
“I’m okay. What happened to him?” You said as you nodded your head towards the alleyway she just exited.
“He fell.” Was all she said in reply. Though you knew she had done something else to him.
“Thank you for helping me.” You grabbed her icy hand in your warm one giving her a grateful smile. She twisted her body so she was facing you better.
“I will do everything in my power to keep you safe.” She told you tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. You leaned into her cold touch enjoying the affection from her. You had been used to random touch here and there but they had mostly felt friendly. This felt intimate, romantic and hopeful.
“I know you will, Rose, I know.” There was no doubt in your mind that she would do anything she had to to make sure you were safe and happy. Even if it meant hiding the fact she and her family were vampires from you.
A/N: Uhm this woman right here was my real Bi awakening. I saw her and Emmett on screen and said oh holy fuck. I knew I was a goner the second I laid eyes on her. She is my beautiful wife and I will not be told otherwise. Also happy woman crush wednesday!

It was an ordinary day on Copper-9. The Doorman family was currently waiting in line for the arena. The arena was a popular form of entertainment among workers and it wasn't uncommon to wait in line for hours.
Nori was holding Uzi as the droneling had fallen asleep over time, clutching her favorite stuffed cow tightly. Nori looked up to see the enormous stadium in front of her as they moved forward to the booth.
"Khan, I’m starting to have second thoughts. Are you sure Uzi’s old enough to watch the arena games? They can be a bit...scary for dronelings her age," Nori hesitated, adjusting her arms to ensure Uzi didn't slip out of her grasp.
"I'm sure she can handle a few bloody fights. Besides, my father took me to these fights when I was her age. She'll be fine, I promise. Three tickets, please."
Eventually, the Doormans made their way to their sitting area for the fight. Thanks to Khan being an important figure, they had the best seats in the whole arena, first row. Nori placed Uzi in her own seat as the couple sat side by side. The adult gently shook the droneling awake in time for the event to begin.
“Uzi, rise and shine my little bat.” Nori whispered gently
The droneling let out a small yawn as she began to stir from her sleep. She rubbed the sleepiness out of her optics as she opened them. Once she was fully awake, Uzi's eyes widened as she realized where she was. The child looked around to see the arena packed to the brim with workers, the center of the stadium filled with sand, and lights shining brightly from the dome above.
Uzi immediately leaned against the edge of the safety walls, clutching her plushie, as she looked around in awe. She had heard many things about this place from her peers at school, about how violent the fights were. From the way it was described, she knew that her parents would never allow her to watch something like that. But here they were, she never thought that she would be watching the games in the arena before.
“Wow! Are we actually in the arena?!” Uzi asked excitedly, turning her head to look at her parents.
“Of course, Uzi. We figured you’d be old enough to watch these matches!” Khan chuckled.
“So consider this an early birthday gift.”
“Thanks, Dad!” Uzi beamed as she turned her head back to the center of the arena.
As the child continued to look around, one of the nearby speakers came to life, static spewing out as it turned on. Startled, the little drone turned her head towards the sound in surprise.
“Ladies and gentlemen, workers of all ages! Welcome to the biannual Champion Tournament!” The voice blurted out
The crowd wildly cheers, yelling and screaming with joyful excitement. Confused, Uzi turned towards her mother hoping she knew what was going on.
“Mom? Who was that?” Uzi asked
“That’s the announcer. He and his other friends are supposed to tell us what’s going to happen next.” Nori explained
“Now, you all know it wouldn’t be a proper championship without our warriors for the warmup! Who’s ready to see some action?!”
The crowd cheers as two gladiators step into the ring, ready to begin the match. One of the warriors had two long ponytails, and the other had short, puffy hair. They both take their stance, waiting patiently for the signal. Suddenly, a loud horn is blown, and the gladiators began to exchange blows.
The crowd erupts in excitement, cheering for their chosen player to emerge victorious. Uzi jumps up and down, trying to get a better view of the fight. However, by the time Uzi manages to prop herself up on the safety barrier, the match is already over, with the victor raising their opponent's tag.
Realizing that she has missed the match, Uzi sadly slumps on the ledge.
"Aw man, I missed it," Uzi groans.
Nori places a reassuring hand on the droneling's head, ruffling her purple hair in the process. She understands how much Uzi wanted to see the action, it wasn't easy being the smallest drone at her age.
"Don't worry, my little bat. You'll get your chance. Besides, there are many matches to go before the special round," Nori says, offering comfort.
"Special round?" Uzi repeats, tilting her head slightly.
"That's where the ravenous disassembly drones are pitted against each other. You'll definitely enjoy that part," Khan says with a smile.
As the gladiators leave, a new pair emerges, and the speaker turns on again.
"Round two! Start!"
The pair fought and soon enough another winner was determined as the crowd cheered for them. This went on for a while. A pair of gladiators emerged and fought, with one ending up as the winner. Uzi started to get a bit bored; this wasn't as exciting as she thought it would be. Her parents, on the other hand, kept getting more and more excited as the match went on.
Eventually, the final round began and everyone was practically on the edge of their seats. Uzi slowly tuned out the cheering as she began playing with her toy, her focus shifting from the final match to the animal.
The final match seemed pretty intense compared to the previous one. The crowd died down quite a bit, with everyone holding their breath in anticipation. Then the fight ended, and the crowd went wild. Especially Nori, who jumped out of her seat.
“Wooo! Yeah! That’s what I’m talking about! Let’s go!!” Nori cheered as she shot her arms up in the air.
Not expecting the sudden action, Uzi jumped as she lost her grip on the cow plushie, causing it to fly in the air.
The stuffed animal immediately fell back down as soon as it had been thrown up. Uzi panicked as she rushed to catch it, only for the toy to land on the soft sand of the arena with a squeak. Unfortunately, no one had noticed the toy as the chosen warrior was being escorted to the waiting area, preparing for the murder drone match-up.
"Oh no! Daisy!" Uzi exclaimed.
She leaned over to see where her precious toy was before quickly making a run out of their seating area, unbeknownst to Nori and Khan.
Thanks to her small size, Uzi easily sneaked through the crowd unnoticed. Once she reached the lobby, she frantically looked around for a sign. Luckily, she spotted the one she was looking for: 'Arena Grounds'.
After a bit of following, she reached the 'Employees only' area. However, as luck would have it, the door leading to the arena was locked. Uzi was about to give up when she heard footsteps approaching. She quickly hid behind a nearby chair and watched the scene unfold.
"I hope those murder drones behave this time," one of the staff members sighed.
"Yeah, we wouldn't want another worker to lose an arm or worse," another said as they unlocked the door with their keycard.
As the workers entered, one turned to their colleague with concern. "Are you sure pitching N and J together is a good idea? I heard N and V are a thing now."
"He's been doing well so far. Sure, he and V have been collecting metal pieces and surrounding themselves with it, but they wouldn't risk punishment."
"Yeah, You're right. Not like last time."
The workers passed by a droneling in hiding and went their separate ways. Just as the door was about to close, Uzi quickly dashed into the room.
-Back in the audience section-
Everyone was eagerly awaiting the big event after the staff had prepared the arena grounds for the disassembly drones. Khan and Nori watched with excitement as they began munching on a bag of nuts and bolts they bought earlier.
"So, Mrs. Psychic, who do you think will win this time?" Khan asked, leaning in beside Nori, eagerly awaiting her answer.
"I'm putting my money on N."
"Are you kidding? N never wins a round. I'm sure one of the girls will beat him, as usual," Nori deadpanned, giving her husband a knowing look.
"Come on, honey, at least give the poor guy a chance."
"Every time I thought he would win, the opposite happens. Besides, we're not betting on anything! We're only here because we wanted to show Uzi the Murder Drones for the first time."
Just as Nori mentioned them, the lights in the arena dimmed and the overhead lights illuminated the center. The show was about to begin. Nori turned her attention back to the arena as the speakers came to life once again.
"Attention, audience! The moment you've all been waiting for is about to start in three minutes. Please remove any items on the edge. The safety field will now be activated."
Just as the announcement was made, a blue light began to flicker and cover the center of the dome.
“Today, we are going to pit J and N against each other. After that, we'll see who comes out on top: Worker or Disassembly Drone?”
Nori grinned and practically jumped in her seat with excitement.
“It's finally happening! Aren't you excited, my little bat?” Nori asked.
No response, had she fallen asleep again?
“Uzi? Machine gun?” Nori turned her head towards Uzi's seat to wake her daughter up, only to find it empty.
“Uzi?” Nori looked under the seat to see if the droneling had hidden there, but there was no sign of her.
“Little Bat?! Sweetie?!” Nori's voice now held more panic.
She started to panic. Where was Uzi? When had she left? How had they not noticed? As she frantically searched for Uzi, Khan noticed his wife's distress.
“Nori? Is everything alright?”
"Not really! Have you seen Uzi?" Nori replied as she continued looking for their daughter.
Khan's core dropped as he heard that question.
"She's not next to you?!"
"No! Khan, where did she go?!"
As the parents panicked, a staff member took notice of their distress.
"Excuse me, is everything okay here?" the worker asked.
Both parents turned their heads towards them with saddened and panicked faces.
"No!" Nori whimpered.
"Our daughter is missing! We can't find her!" Khan explained as he tried to calm his wife down.
Now understanding the situation, the staff member nodded before taking out their walkie-talkie. It would give the stadium a bad name if the wealthiest patrons were to sue over their missing kid.
"Can you give me a description of what she looks like so we know what we're looking for?"
Nori was the first to speak.
"Um, she has short black overalls with brown boots. Oh! And she has a pink toy cow with her at all times, you can't miss it!"
The worker nodded again before putting the device over their mouth to inform the others that they had a situation.
"Alright, guys, I have a Code Yellow here. Wandering child, black overalls with a pink toy cow," the worker radioed.
There was a brief silence before the radio buzzed back to life. "Copy that," came the response.
The worker finished speaking and glanced over at the parents, offering them a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Mr. and Mrs. Doorman, she'll be in good hands," the worker reassured them.
The parents returned a smile of their own as the staff member turned and left. Nori slumped back in her seat, resting her head in the palms of her hands, feeling ashamed that they had lost their daughter. Khan continued to comfort her as they silently hoped that Uzi was somewhere safe.
Suddenly, the sound of chains could be heard as the cage bars were lifted. Two Disassembly Drones appeared out of nowhere, quick and precise. They flew around the arena for a moment before landing on opposite ends in their fighting positions.
"Ladies and gentlemen, workers and dronelings alike, please give our two murder bots a big round of applause!"
The crowd goes wild at the sight of the disassembly drones. N flinches at the sudden loud sounds surrounding him, J only scoffs at the crowd before shifting her focus onto her squad mate. Her pupils replaced with an X, as N did the same.
There is a moment of silence before the female takes the opportunity to strike first, lunging at N and aiming her claws at his head. Fortunately, he is able to block the blow in time with his arm, yelping in pain before retaliating with a claw attack of his own. J quickly moves out of the way and pushes the male away from her. She unfurls her wings and boosts herself up into the air, with N following suit.
As the two circled each other in the air, the Doormans grew increasingly worried. It had been fifteen minutes since the staff had formed a search party, and there was still no sign of their daughter, Uzi. Despite their desire to continue watching the match, their processors were more concerned about their missing child.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the same staff member they had met before returned. Khan approached them, hoping for any sign of their Uzi, but the worker's expression told a different story.
"Well? Have you found her yet?" Khan asked, his voice trembling.
"Please tell us you have," Nori added, looking up with hopeful optics.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Doorman, but we searched everywhere and found no sign of her," the worker replied.
Nori looked down, panic setting in. "What?! No, no, no! This can't be happening! Oh, Robo-God, I'm a terrible mom!" she wailed.
Khan gently took hold of one of Nori's hands as he began to stroke it softly. With his other hand, he gently tilted Nori's head to face him. Digital tears started to stream down her face as she sniffled.
"Hey, look at me. It's going to be okay. We just need to stay calm or else we'll only make things harder," Khan reassured her.
"Maybe she just fell asleep in a corner somewhere. You know how small she is. I'm sure she's somewhere safe and sound-"
"Hey, isn't that a kid?!"
The entire arena turned to look, and to their surprise, they saw a tiny droneling quickly walking alongside the wall. Nori and Khan's cores sank as they realized it was Uzi in the arena.
Nori swiftly dashed towards the edge and leaned over to get a better view. Uzi was walking towards her plushie, completely unaware of the danger she was in. Nori waved her hands frantically, trying to get Uzi's attention.
"Uzi! Get out of there now!" Nori shouted at the girl.
"That kid's going to get herself killed!"
"Hey! You're not supposed to be in there!"
"Quick! Someone call the trainers!"
But no matter how loudly they shouted, Uzi couldn't hear them. The disassemblers quickly realized that something was wrong as they heard the panicked crowd.
N turned his head to see what the commotion was all about, only to find a small worker in the ring. That was strange, as they usually set the match after defeating their opponent. Curiosity got the best of him, and he dove towards the worker to get a better look.
Uzi walked over to where her plushie was and picked it up, brushing off the bits of sand that covered it. She hugged it tightly, causing the toy to squeak.
"You're safe now, Daisy. I'll never treat you like that again," Uzi said with a smile as she hugged the plushie.
As Uzi turned around to leave, something suddenly landed in front of her, kicking up some dust. Uzi coughed and tried to fan the dust away. Once it settled, she noticed a pair of legs in front of her. Slowly, she looked up, examining the body until her gaze reached the figure's face, only to see a big glowing X. It was clear that this was not a worker.
The youngling let out a yelp of surprise and took a step back, only to trip and fall onto her back. Uzi stared at the creature with hollowed eyes filled with fear.
She had only heard about the murder drones in school. They were taught that these creatures would often brutally kill workers to obtain oil for survival or simply for their own amusement. Her classmates were terrified of them, but she had always been fascinated by murder drones. She never expected to encounter one up close like this.
However, this was indeed a murder drone, and murder drones killed workers for food. So the only thing on her mind right now was how she was going to die.
Her thoughts were interrupted as the murder drone approached closer. She sniffled, then closed her eyes tightly and clutched her plushie, preparing for the worst.
The creature growled before leaning its head closer to the girl, sniffing her hair. It let out a chuff before leaning back upright. The girl opened her eyes and looked up at it. The X on its visor was replaced with two yellow pupils as the male looked at her with curiosity instead of murder.
Slowly, it reached out to touch her with one of its claws, causing her to flinch. However, as soon as the tips made contact with Uzi's cheek, the claw retracted and was replaced with a gentle hand. It stroked its thumb across her cheek gently, as if trying to examine her.
Uzi calmed down as the disassembly drone continued its strange behavior, but the peaceful moment was interrupted by the crowd's screams of horror as they tried to get the drone's attention away from the girl. Khan just stared, unsure of what to do. But before he could act, Nori climbed over the fence.
"Uzi! Get away from her, you—! Hey! Khan, what are you doing?! Let go of me!" Nori shouted as Khan and a couple of others dragged her away from the railing.
"Nori! Stop! Please! We can't do anything! The safety field—" Khan was interrupted as his wife whipped her head around to glare at him.
"That's our kid, Khan! If you think I'm just gonna sit there and do nothing, you have another thing—" Nori was cut off by an ear-piercing shriek.
She turned her head towards the source, only to be met with a grey blur flying back up towards the other disassembly drone. Her optics hollowed as one of the cameras focused on the male figure, revealing Uzi in his arms.
"Uzi!!" Nori shouted.
The bastard had used the time they were distracted to get Uzi. Nori couldn’t do anything but shout out in distress as N carries the droneling away. Nori tried everything in her power to get free from the workers, but they held her firmly.
-Meanwhile…-
Uzi curled herself into a tiny ball, attempting to make herself as small as possible. She was still frightened, although not as much as before. The Disassembly drone was surprisingly kind, soft, and warm, which for some strange reason, made her feel safe.
Before long, they arrived to the other murder drone, who happened to be female. The male disassembly drone began making various chirping and trilling noises, and the female drone followed suit. This continued for quite some time, almost as if they were engaged in a conversation of sorts.
"Look, J! I found a worker!" N beamed as he held out the droneling for her to see.
"They're a bit small though..."
J gave a low hum, bending down to look at her from head to toe before leaning back upright with her hands on her hips.
"Hmm, seems like it's a droneling. And it looks like the area's getting more brutal then. Eat her," J flatly stated as her gaze went back to N.
N gave a surprised look at his squad mate. He held the small worker to his chest again, as if protecting her.
"What! Are you crazy?! It’s a baby!" N exclaimed.
"Why else would they put her in here? Besides, it'll show the crowd that we're as heartless as they think we are," J stated as she grinned maliciously.
"Eat her, N. That's an order.”
N looks at J with disbelief. Can she really be serious? N looks down at the droneling. It's so tiny. This must be a mistake, but he can't defy his boss's orders. N notices how much the little droneling is shivering, and it twisted his core in agony. He could never bring himself to harm something so young and small.
“Alright J, sorry little buddy.” N gave a pained expression as his pupils were replaced with the same terrifying X as before.
Uzi looked up at the disassembly drone, her optics hollowed. She now saw that his visor had transformed back into the terrifying X, his mouth was now agape, revealing rows of dangerously sharp teeth.
She immediately began to struggle, twisting and turning in an attempt to break free. However, when she glanced down at the ground, it became clear that struggling was futile. The droneling was positioned too high, and any wrong move could result in her death. She turned her attention back to N, who was now dangerously close, and watched as he lunged his head towards the crook of her neck.
Uzi let out a horrified, high-pitched scream as the disassembly drone made contact. The crowd gasped in shock. They knew murder drones were cruel, but this was monstrous. Nori stopped struggling when she heard Uzi's scream. She looked up to see the creature had bitten her.
Both parents' hearts shattered, especially Nori's, as she roared in grief and anger. Overwhelmed with sorrow, she struggled even more, shaking the group around like ragdolls. But just as she was about to break free, she heard a sound she never expected to hear again in a million years: Uzi's giggle.
"Ehehehehehe! Hehehey, that tickles!" the girl giggled.
The disassembly drone ignored her and continued to move towards her face, nuzzling every reachable inch, causing her to squeal.
"Eheheheek! Nohohoho!"
The droneling squirmed in the creature's grasp, even pushing its face away in an attempt to escape the disassembly drone's affection.
"Aw, aren't you just the cutest thing? I might just eat you up!" N cooed as he moved down to Uzi's tummy and playfully pretended to 'munch' on it. Uzi's giggles turned into louder screams.
The crowd, especially J, looked bewildered by the sudden change in events. J snapped out of it and gave N a stern look. She flew closer to the two, causing him to stop his ticklish assault on the child.
"N! What on Copper-9 do you think you're doing?! You're supposed to be eating her, not playing!"
"Sorry, boss. I don't know what happened! I guess my parental instincts took over?"
N hung his head in shame, looking down at the ground. J huffed and snatched Uzi away from the male disassembly drone, surprising him and bringing him back to his senses.
"We still have a job to do, N! And this is free food we're talking about. If you're not going to take the chance, I will!" J stated angrily, positioning Uzi to bite her.
"Ugh, why am I always the one who has to do everything myself?"
J glared at him before turning her attention back to the droneling. N was right about one thing - she was small for her age, but that wasn't going to stop J from eating her. The female droneling displayed an X on her visor, signaling her impending demise. J succeeded as Uzi gasped in fear, trying to make herself as small as possible. Then J lunged at the same area N had targeted.
N was about to reach out to stop J from harming the girl, but to his surprise, Uzi started giggling again.
"Eheheheh!!! Stohohop!!"
But J didn't stop; she nuzzled and kissed the droneling affectionately wherever she could reach, causing the droneling to lightly kick her legs. After some time, J suddenly stopped tickling the girl as she went limp in her arms.
"What just happened? What did this child do?" J asked herself and looked towards N.
"I told you! It's like she hypnotized us!"
J huffed out of frustration as she realized what this meant - they had accepted the droneling into their squad as their own. It made sense, considering it was almost mating season for them and, after finding their mate, they would seek out a shell for their new baby. Since there were no baby shells available, they had chosen option two: adoption.
"What do we do now?" N asked, tilting his head at J.
"I don't care. You can keep her though," J said, throwing Uzi back to N.
"Wait, really? Thank you, J! Come on, little buddy, let me show you to V!" N smiled as he flew back towards the cage, with J following suit, knowing that she'll have to deal with a very confused and possibly angry V.
Meanwhile, the crowd died down as the two flew back into their respective cages. Nori was the first to snap back out of it as she broke free from the other workers' hold. She and Khan turned to face the employee, who flinched at the sudden movement. They couldn't blame the two for their reaction either; it wasn't every day that a disassembly drone takes off with your kid and decides not to kill them.
Nori grabbed the staff member by the collar and violently shook them, yelling, "What. Was. That?!! Where are they taking my baby?! What are they going to do to her?!! Why didn't the Disassembly Drones kill her?! Aren't they monsters?!!"
Nori was about to spew out more questions before Khan reached out to firmly but gently grabbed her shoulder.
"Nori, calm down! You're going to hurt them at this point!" Khan pleaded
Nori lets the poor worker go as they tried to recollect themselves. Once they did, they straighten themselves up to look at the couple.
“Phew, I think I know why and where they took your child.”
Nori and Khan perked up as they looked at the worker. They turned around and started to walk towards the staff only door.
“Follow me.”
-Meanwhile in the cages…-
N had arrived at the cages, where all the DDs that the arena had were kept. Each cage housed a squad of drones to prevent them from feeling lonely. However, there were exceptions to this, such as mates and rivals.
On the left side of the room, V could be seen cleaning herself inside a cage. She appeared rather bored. N quickly flown over and entered the cage.
"V! You won't believe what happened!" N exclaimed happily as he landed near his mate.
V looked up from her work, wearing a lazy smile. "Did ya finally manage to beat J in a fight?"
"Well, about that—" Before N had a chance to explain, J interrupted as she nudged N to make some space for herself in the cage.
"No, he didn't. However, there was an incident. A droneling managed to get inside the ring."
V became interested at the news, her bored expression turning into one of malice as her sharp fangs became visible. She sat up to listen attentively.
"Oh? Did ya put the brat out of its misery? Tear it apart in front of the crowd?"
"Worse..."
N proudly showed Uzi to V, just as he had done with J.
"She's been accepted into the squad!" N exclaimed victoriously.
V's eyes widened as she jumped to her feet. Of all the things that could have happened today, this was not on V's list.
“What?!” V exclaimed
"Here! Hold her for a bit too!"
N quickly plopped the droneling into V's arms, snapping her out of the initial shock.
"A kid?! N, what were you thinking?! J, Why didn't you stop him?!" V angrily asked as she glares at their leader, who only shrugged her shoulders.
She crossed her arms before looking away, a faint yellow blush of embarrassment visible in the corner of her visor.
"I...don't know, to be honest. That thing has a weird charm."
"Not you too, J," V whined.
"Guess I'll have to take care of this tiny pathetic excuse of a worker myself. More snacks for me!"
She lowered her head to look at the child, hissing and baring her fangs at the droneling. However, the droneling did not react. When you've had at least two disassembly drones trying to eat you, you kinda get used to it. V looked at Uzi in surprise before baring her fangs again, attempting to elicit a flinch from her. But once again, she didn't flinch. If anything, it only fascinated her more.
“Ugh, screw it! I’m eating this kid!”
V opens her mouth in preparation of eating the droneling. After doing a quick calculation, V strikes the droneling on the stomach. Uzi instantly shrieks with laughter.
"Ahahahahahahah! Nohot again!! Hahahahaha! Plehehease!!"
The child laughs gleefully as V kisses and munches all over the her belly. V abruptly stops and stares at the droneling, like she just got out of a trance.
J walks near V with a smug grin.
“I thought you were gonna eat her.” J teased earning a small punch in the arm
"S-Shut it..” V grumbled
"So, does that mean we can keep her?" N eagerly asks V, waiting for her response.
V hesitates before silently nodding her head in agreement. N excitedly grabs both the female disassembly drone and Uzi, twirling them around and earning a squeal from the little one.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you V! We can finally raise a family!" N exclaims as he nuzzles his mate.
V looks down at the droneling, who looks back up at her. She thinks about N's words and realizes that they had given up on ever having a child. The thought that this small, purple worker could be theirs feels like a dream, a weird one, but one she doesn't mind.
"Yeah, I guess," V smiles warmly as she hugs the droneling alongside N.
J rolls her eyes and walks to her usual corner, not wanting to witness the sight.
"Gross."
The moment was cut short as N and V perked up at a sound outside of the enclosure. Knowing who it was, N quickly placed Uzi under his wing while V went back to cleaning her claws, acting as if nothing had happened before the door opened up.
"This way. Please keep in mind not to touch any of the cages," the staff member instructed as they entered alongside the two parents. Nori and Khan looked around themselves. The thought of giant cages filled with deadly Disassembly Drones alone would give a worker a heart attack, but to see them raise their heads and look at you with hungry eyes was a terrifying experience.
Khan shuddered as he treaded closely to the group. Eventually, they made it to one of the cages, which seemed to be empty. Nori leaned forward to see if she could spot any of the disassembly drones that took her baby, only for the employee to block her with their hand.
“Don’t lean too close, miss. That’s how other workers get eaten,” the employee warned. “They could be at the back. They love dark places, especially when they sleep.”
The employee grabbed a long stick before dragging the metal tip over the bars
"Come on! Rise and shine, you three!"
The group hears a groan as they notice movement in the shadows. Soon, they see three Disassembly Drones approaching them, all lining up near the bars of their cage.
"Alright, guys, no more playing around. Where's the droneling you took?"
The trio looks at the worker before quickly turning their heads away, doing a pretty horrible job of pretending to be clueless.
"Guys, this isn't funny anymore. Give her back now."
They tilt their heads at the worker, still trying to act clueless. Suddenly, N's wing twitches a bit, then it twitches some more. That was strange. The employee focuses on the male worker's wings before realizing they were a bit misshapen. There is only one explanation as to why they were  shaped like that.
"Designation N."
N jolts a bit as he looks over.
"What do you have there?" the staff points to his wing, where a big bulge can be seen, shaking a bit.
N looks at it, then back at the worker. N looks around nervously, pretending he didn't see it.
"Serial Designation N, let the child go. Now."
N stares at the worker, and the worker stares back at him. Neither of them move. As if they were engaged in a silent battle. Eventually, N looks away, turns around, walks over to his corner, and takes Uzi out of his wings. He hugs her tightly as he sits down with his back to the employee.
"Hey! You better give that droneling back right now!" the staff fumes, only for N's tail to wag angrily at him.
"Don't make me use the shock collar!"
N growls at them, his grip on the droneling becoming tighter yet still gentle on the child. Uzi looks at her "captor" before turning her head to look at her parents.
"Hey N? Can you let me go, please? I wanna go back to Mom and Dad," Uzi asks softly, tugging at N's sleeve.
N looks down at the child with disbelief. She wants to go back to her mom and dad? Why? Didn't they leave her for dead? Why would she want to go back to those horrible drones? Besides, she has a new family now, with Mama V, Papa N, and Auntie J, of course. They finally have the child they so desperately wanted, and he won't let anyone take her away so easily.
N looks over to where the group of workers was. He tries to glare at them, but his eyes widen at what he sees. He doesn't see horrible monsters that left their offspring to die. No, he sees a mother and a father with worried expressions.
N looks back at Uzi, chittering softly before biting the back straps of her overalls and carrying her near the bars. V snarls at him, as if telling him to stop, but he communicates with her, making his mate look at the ground. They both made their way towards the bars before N lets Uzi go.
The moment she is let down, Nori immediately wraps her arms around her daughter.
“Oh my baby! You’re okay!” Nori rejoices in relief.
"Don't you ever do that again, Uzi! We thought we'd never see you again!" Khan says as he joins in on the hug.
Uzi hugs her parents back tightly as they kiss and cradle her like she'll disappear the moment they let her go.
“Now please tell me, machine gun, what possessed you to do such a thing?" Nori asks tiredly.
"Daisy fell into the arena and I couldn't leave her behind! I'm sorry," Uzi explained as she lowered her head in shame.
"I know you wanted to save her, but what you did wasn't a very responsible thing. Next time you lose your toy, let us or another adult know. Okay?" Khan smiled as he put a hand on Uzi's shoulder gently.
"Okay, Dad!"
The employee sighed a breath of relief, glad that the kid was alright and that they didn't have to deal with two wealthy parents suing the place as they opened the door back to the stadium.
"We're glad that your kid is alright, Mr. and Mrs. Doorman. But we have to go now."
"Most certainly! Come on, little machine gun, let's get away from these dangerous beasts!" Khan said as he grabbed ahold of Uzi's tiny hand.
As the family began to walk towards the exit, Uzi suddenly stopped in her tracks, causing the three adults to halt and look at her.
"Uzi? Aren't you coming?" Nori asked.
"I want to say goodbye to my friends," Uzi replied.
"Your friends? Where are they?" Khan inquired.
Uzi turned and pointed to the cage she had been in just minutes ago.
"There."
The adults took a moment to realize who Uzi was referring to.
"Oh no! Absolutely not! We are not risking your life again!" Nori exclaimed, but stopped upon seeing Uzi lower her head in sadness.
They weren't harming the girl in the first place, it wouldn't hurt if she said goodbye.
"Ugh, just make it quick, okay? And stay outside of the cage," Nori instructed.
Uzi perked up, silently thanking her mother before turning around and running back to the cage. N and V, seeing that their droneling was returning, got as close as possible to the bars before lying on their bellies to be at the droneling's level. Uzi then grabbed their hands and squeezed them as a way to hug them goodbye.
"Bye N, bye V, bye J. I'll miss you," Uzi said.
"Come on, Uzi, we have to go," Nori called.
"Okay, Mama! I'll see you guys again one day!"
She waved goodbye as she ran up to Nori before she picked the droneling up and walked away. N whined as the door finally closes.
-Later on…-
"...and V has this, um, super cool face she makes that's super scary-looking, but she's the sweetest drone ever!" Uzi beamed as she tried to imitate the face V made.
"She does? You don't say!" Nori smiled, listening to her daughter's story.
"Yeah! And, and N was... so warm... and... comfy..." Uzi didn't even finish her sentence before she dozed off.
Nori chuckled before tucking the covers over Uzi and adjusting the toy cow so that it wouldn't slip from her grasp. She gave a kiss on the visor for the night before closing the door to discuss the situation that happened earlier with Khan, wondering if they should let her back in the stadium. Their voices faded as they walked away from the droneling's room.
Suddenly, tapping could be heard from the window, causing Uzi to stir and wake up. She rubbed her eyes as she looked at the glass pane, seeing a large, bright yellow X. Her optics lit up as she knew who it was.
"N!"

Don’t forget my love Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Based on the song Don’t Forget My Love by Diplo and Miguel
Part 1 here!
Notes📝: Humans do not need masks to breathe anymore! Reader is still kinda young like late 20’s!
Word count: 4k
Warnings⚠️: arguing, tension, teasing, yelling, crying, torture, blood, fluff, mentions of cheating, sexual tension, size kink?, talk of private parts, miles being protective, masturbation (no p in v tho), eventual p in v, fingering, multiple orgasms, miles eating you out, daddy kink, pet names, public sex kinda?,
Background: After getting captured and being interrogated ends up causing old feelings to come to surface…
———————————————————————
The tension was all you felt on the fly back to the base. You hated them you hated these demonic dreamwalkers. Why couldn’t they just leave you alone, especially him. The man you were in love with so long ago who for all you knew was dead, sitting right next to you. Maybe this was the way Ewya punished you for your past actions. But why now? Why would she allow this why would she let him of all people live?
Sitting in your thoughts you hadn’t noticed the eyes staring you down. Looking up you watched as the the dream walkers eyes wandered along down your body. Now eyeing your loincloth that was out of place. Rapidly moving your cloth back into place. Perverts is what you thought. Did they have nothing else to do? You were enemy’s for gods sake did they have no decency? You knew you had a nice body you had always been acknowledged about it back on earth even now sometimes. In response hissing at them causing all eyes really being on you now.
“Oh she really thinks she’s one of them?” One of them teased causing a ripple of laughs around the group.
“You are lucky I’m handcuffed or I’d gut you like a pig!” You responded getting a smirk out of him. God you hated them they thought they were all high and mighty compared to you. You hated people like them except for him. You noticed how he hadn’t laughed at you like the others but in turn glared them down. He still cared for you, you were still his wife at least legally.
As the heli landed you let out a deep breathe. You hated flying on planes but banshees and ikrans were different you actually enjoyed the rides the kids would take you on during the day when they wanted to show you a new trick they had learned. But planes just made you sick they could break down at any given time so who were you to trust them? The group stood up as the helicopter landed. Miles quickly gripped your cuffed hands as he led you out of the helicopter.
The inside of that thing smelled disgusting it rid of sweat and balls. God you hated how sweaty everyone was. As you entered the fresh air you observed the base. You hadn’t been here in years there was nothing good ever happening here anyways so why would you ever come back? There was so much tension between you two it was suffocating you.
“Where are we going?” You wondered as you were literally being pulled forward.
No answer
“Miles where are you taking me?” Your tone getting a little annoyed.
Still no response
“Miles im serious where are you taking me?”
“To get interrogated”
Interrogated? Wait that meant..No no no. He wouldn’t do that to you right? You had seen that machine they used on Na’vi warriors. It was basically a torture machine. It had killed one of the Na’vi before and you had a front row seat. You had watched as he begged in for them to stop while his screams filled the room. You watched as the blood from his nose covered his body. They just watched as it trickled down his face and watched him choked on it as he screamed in agony.
As you entered the main building you looked around at the humans running around the area with paperwork in their hands and the scientists conversated. It didn’t seem like they took much attraction towards you. That was good maybe you could slip past them later in hopes of leaving this hell hole you hadn’t even been in for an hour. Miles let you and the dreamwalkers into a large area. This was the main hub. It looked similar to how it was the last time they were here. It almost felt like deja vu.
And there it was the machine. Pulling back, you got the attention of the lobby as you begged them not to put you in that thing. Miles turned back as you got loose of his grip and ran the other way to only be met with another solider looking down at you.
“Miles please don’t put me into that thing pls” you begged turning back to him. Reaching for you “Honey I can’t go against orders” pulling you to the machine.
“No miles please!” You screamed as you were dragged on the tile floor. “Miles it’s going to kill me pls don’t” as you tried to rid of his grip but it was useless and you knew it he was 5x stronger than he was in his human body.
“Don’t fight it y/n you’re only making it harder” placing you in the holster.
Holding onto his arm that was holding you down you scratched and slapped at it. The fear overwhelmed the entirety of your body. You felt as if you were in a pit of lava being drowned in. Noticing the whole rooms attention was on you caused your movements to come to a stop. You felt embarrassed of how you acted, but you’d do anything to stop this machine. As he strapped you in your cry’s filled his senses as he tried his best not to give in. He didn’t want to do this this was the last thing he wanted to do. But there was no other way, he had to follow orders or they’d boot him. Tears now falling from your face your eyes made contact, he watched as they begged for his mercy as he stood back. Slowly shaking his head his feet failing him as he walked away.
A hard look human woman is walked over to you as you struggled. She seemed like she ran this whole gig. She was probably the big boss miles was so scared of you thought. She did look scary in her army pants and stright looking face eyeing you down.
“Hello y/n, I’m General Ardmore now we can do this the easy way you just tell us where Jake sully is hiding and you’ll be free”
“We both now damn well that’s not gonna happen”
Walking away with a smirk on her face sent shivers down your spine knowing exactly what was going to happen. Preparing yourself taking a deep breathe awaiting the pain that was bound to happen.
“Start it” comanding the soldier standing next to her
“Yes ma’am” pushing the button
Ewya help me you prayed as the machine started up. Your eyes stung as the bright light flashing on and off your eyes as they watched your thoughts. Grunting from the sting the pain started on your forehead. It felt as if someone was throwing boulders at you and not stopping. Looking around for some kind of relief all you got were stares from the soldiers. Looking for miles you finally spotted him in the back with a concerned face.
Screaming in pain you begged for them to stop. Each beg causing another tear to drain from your eyes twisting your hands into fists trying to cope in some way. It felt like they’d been at it for hours at this point. As blood trickled down from your bright red nose into your mouth it you heard a beep go off causing the machine to stop. Lightheaded you looked up finding miles being the one who stopped it.
You knew he wasn’t that cold, he still loved you and he couldn’t hide it. As you watched miles walking closer you could feel your eyelids drooping down till they were finally closed as you passed out.
Miles quickly pulled you out of the machine grips and into his arms. Throwing your arms over his shoulders in your past out state he turned to the General hoping she would listen to his advice.
“She is not your woman anymore colonel, she is an enemy so treat her like one” looking up at him as he nodded.
“Why don’t we try the personal angle?” Only getting an eye roll on response as she signaled the others to show miles to the interrogation room. As he followed them he could feel the blood from your nose dripping onto his shoulders. He regretted every second of what he did, he couldn’t see you screaming like that and not do anything. He wasn’t that kind of man, he was a man who took charge no matter the case.
Ducking under the doorway, he placed his hand over your head. In fear it would get bumped.
“You can put her here colonel” a tall male scientist said pointing to the table. It looked hard with nothing on it that just wouldn’t do.
“Get her a pillow” he stated not leaving room for defiance from him.
Nodding he quickly left the room going to fetch a pillow. As he stood there he couldn’t get the picture of you screaming his name out of his mind. He knew he could never imagine the pain you had gone through today. He wanted to cradle you in his arms and tell you everything was going to be ok like he used to.
The scientist hurried into the room with a large white pillow in his hands. Too scared to look Miles in the eyes he placed the pillow on the large table.
“Hey im gonna Need some wipes too” looking down at the man.
“Yes sir” quickly scurring away
Miles walked over and gently placed you down while holding our head hoping not to hurt it. Placing you on your back he watched your chest move up and down. You looked beautiful when you were sleeping. Leaning down he placed a small kiss on your forehead.
“Here sir” handing him the wipes
Nodding he took them in his hands. They were tiny in his grasp causing a chuckle out of miles. Lifting your head on his lap as he sat beside you. He slowly opened the package and wiped the remaining blood off your face.
“I’ve missed you” he quietly whispered.
The feeling of guilt was always inthe back of his mind ever since he woke up in his new body. You were the first thing I thought about. You were his everything and not having that broke him. Keeping it inside never helped but who would he talk to? The other recoms were like family to him but not close enough to open up.
As he finished wiping the blood off he noticed your eyes opening. Now looking up at him you turned your head lazily realizing what position you were in. You flew up off the table now on your feet and in between his legs as you pulled your knife from your thigh bringing it up to his neck. He didn’t even flinch, he was never a man who was scared. But you, you were one of the few things he was scared of. That was one of the reasons he even married you. He loved that feeling you gave him when you two were together he never knew your next move and that excited him in every way.
“Do not touch me miles” you spit as you watched his hands fly up in defeat.
“I was just cleaning you up darling” giving a smirk on response as he matched his breathing with yours
Finally letting up you threw the knife across the room and moved back never breaking eye contact.
“Why don’t you sit down sweetie?” He offered signaling you to sit next to him.
“I’m not a fucking child miles” you spat again
Letting a silence engulf you both he finally opened his mouth
“Yk you were the first thing I thought about when I woke up” looking down at his hands in his lap.
Suprised by his words you took a step closer.
“Should’ve thought abt that before you cheated on me”
“Y/n I never wan-“ being quickly cut off
“How could you do that to me miles?”
“She meant nothing to me”
“Don’t give me that bullshit miles”
Standing up he looked into you “I’m sorry”
Reaching out for your hand you moved away breaking eye contact too scared you’d break in front of him.
“You think a sorry is gonna make it better?” You asked fighting back tears.
“No y/n i don’t”
A tear quickly slipped out being wiped away just as fast as you went to sit down.
“I cried for you every night, every single night. Just to find out l you cheated” another tear coming out but you just let it it didn’t matter you were gonna cry eventually.
“You were the only thing on my mind when I did it I swear sweetheart” coming to sit next to you.
As he sat down you placed your head on his shoulder as you let the tears fall in silence. You were too tired to fight you couldn’t take anymore stress you wanted to fall over and die.
Looking down at you he watched them fall one by one eventually turning into a waterfall of them.
“I am so in love with you sweetheart I don’t even blame you for hating me”
“Thank you- for stopping that machine”
“I love you”
“I know”
Your moment being quickly interrupted by the opening door cutting you off from the outside. Moving your gaze to the door way you watched as one of the recom soldiers walked in. Sitting up you wiped away your tears causing your face to turn red.
“General wanted to know how it’s going sir” now standing in front of doorway awaiting his answer keeping his eyes on you.
“Yeah Lyle let her know the hostage will be joining us on missions”
Confused you flash miles a confusing look as Lyle walked out.
“I am going back home miles, you cannot keep me here”
“There aren’t many options here sweetheart”
“I will run away I swear to god miles”
Standing up he smirked not saying a word as he ducked under the doorway. “Wait miles don’t leave!” Running to tug his tail back.
“Huh- stop that” swatting your hand away. “Don’t leave me here miles pls” you hated it in here it felt suffocating and lonely even when he was with you in here. You missed the jungle and being able to roam free whenever you wanted to.
“you’ll have to put on normal clothes”
Thinking it through you finally gave in as he led you down the hallway you looked into the rooms as you passed them in curiosity. The ground felt strange to you. You kinda enjoyed the way your feet slid off the slick flooring with every step you took. You had gotten so used to being barefoot in the grass you had almost forgotten what it felt like with shoes.
Stopping at a door with a large sign saying “storage” on it miles opened the avatar sized door letting you go in first. The room was filled with grey steel made racks of boxes with different labels on them. You hated how boring it looked, pandoras colors never failed to surprise you but this was just disgusting. Following miles down the aisles finally going down one and watching him going through the boxes.
“What size are you darling?”
“You don’t remember?” Flashing him a smirk
“I-“ being cut off as you moved in front of him now almost skin to skin with this man gave a warm feeling in your groin area signaling a blush on your face as you looked through the boxes. Miles just looked at you at how small you were it got him hot just thinking about it. You were so tiny in his grasp, so little and fragile. He loved that, he felt the urge to protect you especially after todays events. Even when he was human he was always protective of you in any setting. A male coworker making you laugh a little too much? There he was immediately giving you a kiss on the cheek and holding you by the waist.
As you rummaged through the boxes you finally found your size in army pants. Turning around you realized just how close you really were looking up to his gaze you noticed how his eyes trailed your body and every movement it made. Your body failed you as you could feel your slick sticking to your loincloth as your breath picked up. Miles noticed how your breathe changed so fast. Snapping out of it you quickly lowered your gaze to the ground too embarrassed to say anything.
“You got the right size?” Letting out a grunt trying to rid the tension.
“Yes yes I did” you hated him so why did you get so flustered over this? You mentally cursed yourself for it causing your expression to change quickly.
“Do you want any underwear with that?” Smirking at the thought of you being commando under those clothes.
“Shut up” rolling your eyes as you looked for the label underwear on the boxes. After a few minutes you finally found it. As you opened it you could feel his eyes wandering your barley covered body as you stood on your tippy toes.
Looking through the box, in your surprise you found a hot pink silk thong. Your eyes widened at the sight, you hadn’t worn one in years. Pulling it out from the box you looked up at miles with a smirk on your face putting it on display right in front of him.
“You think I should wear these? I know you love it when I wear my pretty little thongs” you watched as his gaze lowered to the display in front of him causing an even bigger smirk to appear on his face.
“Oh you think that’s funny do ya” tilting his head waiting for your answer
“Yeah and what are you gonna do about it?” You were walking on thin ice at this point you knew how to push his buttons and oh you definitely pressed his buttons.
“Don’t try and play this game with me y/n, cause I will take you here and now you just gotta say the word bunny” as he squatted getting to your level with his smirk still plastered on his little face.
Your face flushed at his words, you knew he was a man of his word he’s always been. The way he was eyeing you like a starved man made your thighs clench at the sight. He looked ravenous at your vulnerable state. Since he was now in a new body that meant his senses were heightened, which meant his smell was keen on everything especially you. It engulfed him the closer he got to you, he knew exactly what you wanted your scent gave it away and he was ready to deliver.
“Don’t do it” was all your mind was telling you. He didn’t deserve you, he was your enemy you weren’t on the same side as him. so why did you want this so bad? Why did you act like this with him? You would never admit it out loud but you fell in love with him again. The second you two made eye contact in the jungle you could feel it. The way his eyes sparkled as he watched you just laying there on the ground made you tremble. You would always love him no matter what because he was your husband and you were his wife. Nobody else’s only each others. You had begged Ewya every night to make it stop but the feelings wouldn’t go away he will always be the one and there was no changing that. So you let go. You finally gave in it was all too much you couldn’t deny it anymore you wanted this. You wanted him and you couldn’t stop yourself from that.
“I-I uhm” you couldn’t get a clear sentence out you were too flustered at his comment you wanted it so bad but you just couldn’t get the right words out.
“Hm alright then” standing up with a dissatisfied face.
“So are you gonna put those on or what sweetie?” Looking down at you waiting to you to strip right in front of him.
“Look away” not making eye contact
“Aw come on I’ve seen it all before. Are you really embarrassed?” Smiling at your embarrassment
“I am not embarrassed miles” You weren’t and you weren’t scared to strip in front of him.
“then do it”
“Fine” grabbing your pants you untied your loincloth and watched as it dropped to the ground.
You could feel his eyes burn into your skin as you stood naked from the stomach down and you loved it. You had him wrapped around your finger. Looking up you made eye contact with him as you moved your fingers closer to your heat. Bringing your middle finger to your clit you slowly started drawing circles never breaking eye contact.
His mouth gaped in awe watching your slick trickling down your leg as you let out small mewls of pleasure. Picking up the pace you sat down and spread yourself on the cold cement ground opening your legs for a full view.
“M-miles” breaking eye contact to pull your head back in pleasure.
“Yes baby?” His voice was low and smooth he was hanging on your every word.
Unable to form words you just let out little mumbles as your slick reached the floor and your back arched. He watched every movement as if his life depended on it. Grunting at the sight he brought himself down now all fours creeping closer to your heat.
“N-no touching” letting out a gasp as your climax reaches closer.
Getting a hiss in return he sat down watching the display in front of him licking his lips from the thought of having himself inside you. He hated that he couldn’t touch you, no matter of fact he despised it he missed having you skin to skin. He admired the way you flinched at your own touch as if you weren’t used to it.
“Looking so good for daddy in this position bunny” it was like on command you climaxed, clenching your thighs together as a wave of pleasure exploded through your body. Keeping your gaze up you watched as miles crawled over and spread your legs running the thick of his tongue along your throbbing cunt catching any loose juices still spilling out of you.
letting out a loud moan he quickly threw his hand over your mouth to not bring any attention to the both of you. Letting out little muffles under his grasp he plunged 2 fingers into your sobbing cunt.
“Oh Ewya!” You screamed at the sudden movements causing your walls to clench around his massive digits, getting a grunt out of him.
“You gotta be quiet for daddy sweet girl” nodding your head as you lowered your lewd sounds. You could feel as his thrusts fastened as you reached closer to your second orgasm as you lost yourself in pleasure.
“m’so close fuck miles” feeling his tongue swirl around your clit to reach your climax, finally pushing you over the edge and letting out one last mewl of pleasure before you fell back to the ground.
Crawling over your small frame, as he admired your vulnerable state. Cupping the back of your head bringing it to the crook of his neck as he held you in his arms. He loved holding you, remembering back as soon he would get off work he would just lay with you in bed and hold you in his arms just admiring your beauty from all angles. He couldn’t get enough of you in this state he wanted to stay like this forever but all good things must come to an end right?
Standing up, you wrapped your arms around his neck looking to meet his gaze you watched as his golden eyes stared into you, getting a smile out of you you let yourself down.
“Y/n I love you”
“I- uhm I should get ready” looking around for your loose clothing in a hurry.
Collecting your clothing you quickly pulled the baggy army pants over your legs still glistening in your slick. It felt strange to have real pants on. You felt almost contained in them? No it wasn’t that maybe suffocated? No but nonetheless you didn’t like it but you had no choice.
“We should go” he proposed as he started towards the door.
“Yeah” nodding in agreement as you finished clothing yourself with a grey tank top fitting your frame perfectly. Walking out you worried for the clan. You had hoped they weren’t missing you too much. You were one of them now after all. But what would they think of this? These lewd actions with the enemy of all people. He’s killed so many Na’vi how can you come back from this…

New life - Chapter 5
Tumblr media
<- chapter 4, chapter 6 ->
Pairing: Aged up!Neteyam x Fem!Reader
Summary: After being faced with another life or death situation, you end up deciding to follow the Sullys on their journey to the Metkayina’s region. As you and Neteyam get progressively closer, you wonder if you’re starting to see him in a different way.
Note: Neteyam is aged up on this one☝️as well as the reader☝️
——————————————————
Extra note: (y/n)’s addiction to M&M’s makes a comeback on this chapter 😶‍🌫️ lmao I’m sorry I just had to
——————————————————
I quietly follow Neteyam through the woods while he tracks his parent’s footsteps
He looks back quickly from time to time, checking if I’m still behind him
It starts raining, slowing us down, the atmosphere is dense. If I didn’t have Neteyam with me, finding my way around the forest would be almost impossible
After walking for a while, we start to hear voices
“….Demon! I will kill you as many times as I have to” A woman yells
Neytiri
We found them
I can see her now, she’s a bit far from us, hiding behind a tree
There’s a few human and avatar soldiers around, circling the perimeter
Neteyam stops in front of me, raising his hand as if telling me to stop as well, he looks into my eyes and points, first to where his mothers stands, then to the side, like he wants me to cover her side view while he stays directly across from her
I nod at him. Before I can go, he suddenly grabs my arm, making me turn back to look at him inquisitively
“Be. Careful.” He mouths, his eyes staring intensely into mine
I swallow hard. Looking back into his eyes, I nod, mouthing a “You too” back at him
He lets go of me slowly, and I swiftly walk to where he told me to
When I finally stop, I have a clear view of Neytiri’s side
And….
Shit
An avatar soldier, a human with a Na’vi replica, pointing his gun directly at her
She doesn’t seem to see him
My eyes widen, I try to pick an arrow as fast as I can
Right as I’m about to aim and shoot, another arrow beats me to it, getting the soldier from the back
Neteyam shot him!
Another soldier suddenly appears, loading his gun and pointing it in Neteyam’s direction
My eyes widen, my heartbeat fastening, I have to do something and I have to do it now
Having only a day of training, I know there’s a possibility I’ll miss. So I breath in deeply, trying to remember everything Neteyam taught me, quickly aiming my arrow at the man, screaming as loud as I can “Neteyam! Duck!”
The man screams “Na’vi”
I shoot at him, the arrow zooming in his direction, I was aiming at his the head, but it ends up hitting his arm instead
He still fires the gun, missing Neteyam because of my arrow’s impact, making the gun he was holding shoot a row of bullets to the side before falling from his hold
Still, Jake pushes Neteyam to the ground as the gun goes off
“Go Go Go” Jake urges, dragging Neteyam with him behind a tree
“You okay? You okay boy?” Jake inquires urgently
Neteyam agrees, making a motion of moving from his hiding spot to look in my direction
Jake holds him in place by his arm “Okay. With me. Ready? Ready?” He asks Neteyam
“Yes sir” he answers firmly
Jake then presses his fingers to his neck, quickly speaking into our communication mechanism “(Y/n), still with us?!”
“Y-yes!! I’m here!!” I say into the earpiece. I’m currently laying on the ground, having thrown myself down as soon as the shooting started
Neteyam let’s out a breath of relief as his father quickly yells “Good. Be ready to run on my sign”
He suddenly gets out of his hiding spot, shooting at two soldiers who stood close to us
After bringing them down, he screams “Move!”
I quickly get up, running as fast as I can into the woods
——————————————————
I’m alone now, separated from the rest of the group, running through the thick forest. Trusting my hearing to somehow guide me away from danger
I run for what feels like hours, legs burning, heart almost bursting out of my chest
I hope everyone’s alright
As I approach some massive tree roots, I start to hear voices
I slow down, scared, breathing heavily, trying to focus on the noise
“…ou hurt? Are you hurt?!!” Someone urges from behind the giant tree roots
It’s Jake!!
——————————————————
“(Y/n)” Neteyam breathes out, his eyes frantically scanning the perimeter, “Where’s (y/n)?” he anxiously presses his fingers to his neck, about to call me on our earpiece, starting to move to run back into the forest
But I beat him to it
“(Y/n)!!” Tuk screams as I jump over a big fallen tree branch to finally meet up with them
Everyone’s eyes snap on my direction, Jake immediately asking if I’m hurt
“I-I’m alright, I’m okay” I manage to breath out, my lungs burning from the run
Suddenly, two hands grab me by the arms “(Y/n)”
Neteyam says as he starts to scan my body for any possible injuries “Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere?” He stops his eyes on mine, looking intensely at me, his tone urgent, gaze full of concern
“Oh my god” I breath out
“They tried to shoot you!! Oh my god Neteyam” I say, starting to fuss over him, circling him while touching his arms and back, looking for any serious wounds
Or any bullet wounds
“Hey, I’m okay, it’s alright, they didn’t get me” he holds me in place by my arms
“You saved me, again” he says softly, looking into my eyes
Before we can say anything else, strong white lights emerge from the sky, illuminating the forest
It’s a huge airship, getting progressively close to the ground, probably coming to fetch the soldiers
We all look up, Neteyam puts a protective arm in front of me as we see a bunch of avatar soldiers getting dragged up towards the sky by ropes with hooks on them, tied to the airship
As it distances itself from the land, I hear Jake saying
“…..Okay. We’re clear, everyone okay?” He breathes out, his tone urgent
“Mom!” Tuk screams, running into Neytiri’s arms, starting to cry
It’s finally over
Jake slowly pulls Neteyam and Lo’ak into a tight hug
Hands on my knees, I let out a huge breath of relief, tears swelling on the corners of my eyes after all of the adrenaline and fear
Jake looks over at where I stand for a while. Slowly, he stretches one arm in my direction, as if inviting me into the hug
My breath hitches, a few tears dropping from my eyes as I enter his embrace
Neteyam puts an arm around me as soon as I appear beside him, pulling me in tightly
“Oh thank you great mother! Thank you” Neytiri screams as she hugs Kiri and Tuk, breathing heavily
As we slowly pull back from Jake’s embrace, Neteyam’s hand lingers on my lower back for a bit
Lo’ak looks around, confused, before suddenly asking about Spider
“They took him” Kiri cries out, tears already spilling from her eyes “They took him”
Jake hugs her tight, telling her that Spider will be alright
“He’s as tough kid” he tells her
We look around amongst ourselves in shock, worried for him
This can’t be good
——————————————————
Back in the village, Jake and Neytiri are currently inside of their hut, arguing about what’s the right decision to make after the recent events
Me and the Sully kids lay quietly next to their place, trying to hear whatever we can about the conversation, hoping to figure out what’s going to happen next
“….he’s targeting our family” we hear Jake say
I clench my jaw
Quaritch
So he’s the one responsible for what happened back at the forest
“You cannot ask this!” Neytiri pleads “The children. Everything they’ve ever known, the forest. This is our home” she yells
Ask what? What’s Jake thinking about doing?
“He had our children, he had them under his knife” Jake whispers firmly
I look at where Tuk is now currently laying on the ground, spying on her parent’s conversation
She could’ve had died today, I think, they could’ve taken her
This is can’t happen again
I focus back on the conversation
“….You’re Toruk Makto” Neytiri yells
“This will protect the people” Jake yells back
“Quaritch has Spider, that kid knows everything” He urges
“He knows our whole operation, he can lead them right in here” he finishes
We look around amongst ourselves, my eyes resting on Kiri
On the past few days, I’ve noticed Kiri and Spider’s strong bond, their friendship and care for each other is always really evident
Too evident… maybe there’s something more going on between them
I slowly put a hand on her arm, she seems out of it, like her mind is anywhere else but here
Jake still pleads with Neytiri, telling her that if the people harbor us, they’ll die
He proceeds to admit to having no plan, affirming that what he can do is protect this family, his family
I have to put my ear on their tent’s side to catch his next phrase
“But I know one thing” He whispers softly “Wherever we go, this family is our fortress”
I back away from the tent slowly, a million thoughts running through my head, are they… are they leaving?
Jake pushes the fabric that covers the entrance of his hut abruptly, making us jump and try to act as natural as possible, hoping he doesn’t notice we were spying
Of course he does
His gazes focuses on me
“(Y/n)” he starts with a serious expression, “I need to have a word with you”
——————————————————
I follow Jake into my hut, where he sits down, gesturing for me to do the same
I sit across from him, anxious
“(Y/n)…. we’re leaving” he says, his eyes sorrowful
My suspicions were right
He goes on to explain the whole situation, telling me that they were doing this for the sake of their people, that it’s the only way to make sure no one gets hurt, or worse
“Quaritch isn’t giving up until he finds us, so we’ll be disappearing”He says “Moving south to the Metkayina’s region”
The sea people, I think, one of my favorite tribes, I used to spend hours on end reading every bit of information available about them
“But” I start hesitantly “You’re the olo’eyktan-“
“I’ve already chosen a successor” he interrupts me, his voice firm and his gaze stern
He sighs
“It’s the best decision for our people and for ourselves” he finishes
I nod slowly, understanding. It’s the only way to protect both his family and his tribe at the same time
“You can stay” he continues “It’s our family he’s after. You could stay with the omaticaya if you wish, with Norm” he finishes, mentioning the only person I have left from my past
I look down, thinking. I could stay, help Norm around the lab, have a good, tranquil life
But… it’s not that simple anymore, i think, I promised to help against the humans, against Quaritch. Even if he’s only after the Sullys, I can’t abandon them
I… care for them, I realize. They already occupy a special place in my heart. They were the first people to approach me with kindness and care since I escaped the human base
Especially their oldest son
I can’t leave them
Besides, I think, who’s going to save Neteyam when he needs it? I smile to myself recalling the last two times I ended up saving his life
I look at Jake, who’s staring back at me, waiting for an answer
“If you’ll have me…I wish to go as well” I tell him
“You do?” He raises both of his eyebrows “You…. do understand there’s a possibility we aren’t coming back”
I smile “I know. I promised to help didn’t I? If anything happens, you’ll need someone who has intel on the humans, on Quaritch. I promise I’ll be useful”
He huffs out a laugh, shaking his head “You know” he starts “You really do remind me of Grace” he stares at me for a while, a soft look in his eyes
I look at him, surprised, a smile forming on my lips “Thank you”
“Well then” he continues “Get ready, we leave tomorrow”
——————————————————
Jake then goes after Neytiri, both of them calling their kids in to tell them the news
I can’t even imagine what it’ll be like for them. My home is in the past, it doesn’t really exist anymore, I’m still struggling to find somewhere else, some other people to cling on to
But the Sullys, they’ve lived their whole lives here, their future lies here too
I can’t help but to feel sad for them
——————————————————
No one could really sleep after Jake’s news, so that brings us to the current moment, where me and the Sully children sit around a small bonfire next to my hut
Their faces are melancholic, some tear streaked, still absorbing the news
They’re leaving home
“This fucking sucks” Lo’ak says, his eyes locked onto the fire
“Language” kiri sighs out, proceeding to lay down on the ground, staring at the stars
“I don’t want to go….” Tuk cries out softly, hand rubbing her eyes, seems like she’s holding her tears in
“C’mere” Neteyam tells her, he picks her up, sitting her on his lap, softly rubbing her back
“It won’t be that bad” he tells her softly “We’re going near the sea, there’s all sorts of beautiful creatures in it, right (y/n)?” His gaze shifts to me
I’ve told Neteyam about my interest on the Metkayina before, having studied their culture to its core
“That’s right!!” I try to smile reassuringly at Tuk “There’s huuuge whales too, they’re called Tulkuns!!”
As my gaze shifts to Neteyam, I notice he’s trying his hardest to cheer Tuk up. But his eyes are sorrowful, distant
“Grandma Mo’at would love them…” Tuk says, her eyes watering again
Me and Neteyam share a look, his jaw locked. Their grandmother is staying, she’s the tsahik, the people can’t do without her
It’s inevitable, there’s no way around it, they’re really leaving
I look at them, their sad expressions making my heart ache
“Okay” I suddenly say, standing up “Come with me everyone, I’ve got something to show you”
——————————————————
After some hard convincing and a whole lot of it’ll be good I promises, I currently have the Sully kids inside my hut, sitting down in a circle. Their faces confused and skeptical
I reach inside a woven basket in the corner of my room, taking out the only thing I brought with me when I escaped the human base: a backpack with some essentials
When I first escaped, it contained a few provisions, a flask of water and two personal items
Now, it only had the latter, which were my mini cassette player and a bag of M&M’s
Time to blow some minds
——————————————————
“Alright, now on the count of three, we all eat it. Don’t just swallow it, chew it slowly and feel the flavor” I say
I’m now sitting amongst them on the ground, cross legged between Neteyam and Kiri
We all have at least two M&M’s in hand, everyone waiting for my sign to eat them
Tuk looks excited, wanting to try “the little colorful balls”, as she calls the M&M’s, already.
Lo’ak looks at me skeptically, while Kiri points out there’s a tiny “m” written on each one of them
“What did you say these were again?” Neteyam asks, amused, raising an eyebrow in my direction
“Happiness in a little sphere” I grin at him, “Chocolate” I finish
“Oh so that’s what this is?” Lo’ak asks, “The lab crew talks about craving this stuff all the time. This better be good (y/n)” he smirks in my direction
I smile at him, looking at the candy in my hand. It’s weird to think that this is probably the last piece of chocolate I’ll ever have
I’m not human anymore, I think. Now that I’m with the na’vi, shipments from Earth don’t reach us like they used to, since the humans that were allowed to stay on Pandora are considered part of the tribe, the ties between us and planet Earth were cut short
My gaze becomes a little distant, eyes on the candy on my hand, memories from a life that doesn’t exist anymore flashing through my mind
“It’ll be good” Neteyam says, snapping me out of my thoughts
I look at him, he’s staring at me encouragingly, a bit of concern on his eyes
“She promised it’ll be good” he continues “So if it isn’t, she’ll have to come up with something better” he finishes, a playful look in his eyes
I laugh softly “Trust me, you won’t need anything else after trying these”
“Can I eat mine now?” Tuk says, excited, patience running low
I grin at her “Okay. On the count of three” I say “One, two… three”
We all simultaneously put the candy into our mouths
My smile is immediate, the familiar flavor bringing me good memories, I really love these
The chain of reactions in front of me is hilarious to say the least
First, Lo’ak squints his eyes, slowly chewing the candy. Then, his eyebrows raise and his pupils dilate, a small smile playing on his lips, “Oh wow” he mutters
Kiri only eats one of the two M&M’s I initially gave her, eyeing the other skeptically while she chews. A slow smile spreads through her face, getting progressively bigger. She looks at me beaming, showing me the M&M she didn’t eat “Does each one taste different since they have different colors?”
Tuk finishes her’s in a matter of seconds, instantly opening both her hands in front of me “Can I please have some more??” She pleads, eyes sparkling
Neteyam’s the only one who I can’t really figure out if approved the candy or not. He has his brows furrowed, chewing his candy slowly
I laugh “No kiri, and of course Tuk!!” I answer the girl’s questions, turning the bag of M&M’s on Tuk’s hand. Her eyes widen at how much more I just gave her
While Lo’ak tries to steal some from Tuk’s hand, getting harshly scolded from her, I turn my attention to Neteyam
“So?… what do you think?” I ask him hesitantly
He finally finishes chewing, looking into my eyes “honestly….I kind of hate it”
“W-what? Really?” I ask him, my tone urgent and disappointed
He nods, pursing his lips, staring at me
My face falls
Then, his face slowly morphs into a grin, finally breaking into a loud laugh
“Of course not” his laughter dies down a bit “I love it actually” his eyes have a playful glint on them “And I need more, immediately” He finishes, smirking, opening his hand for me to pour more
I’m trying hard to make an angry face at him, but the smile on my lips betrays me
I scoff “Sorry, but you just lost your candy privileges” I turn to Lo’ak and Kiri “Want some more you guys?”
Neteyam laughs again, “Come on (y/n), I’m sorry!” He pokes my sides with his hand softly
I suddenly shriek, letting out a quick laugh, eyes widening, I’m really ticklish there
Shit
Neteyam’s smirk slowly widens
“Please don’t, please” I plead
He doesn’t even hesitate, poking both of my sides fast and hard
I laugh loudly, small tears swelling on the corners of my eyes, dropping the bag of M&M’s I was holding to try and get away from his torture
“Can I get some M&M’s now (y/n)?” he asks, laughing while continuing to tickle me
“Y-yes just please- stop!” I manage to blurt out mid laugh
“What? Sorry, I didn’t quite catch that” he grins, continuing his torture on my sides
This little bitch
“I’ll give you the whole bag if you want to, just please stop!!” I breath out, still laughing
He slowly stops, his smile wide “Well thank you (y/n), since you offered it, I’ll be having the whole thing” he says, his laughter finally dying down as well
I turn to look for the M&M’s bag, having dropped it earlier when he attacked me
The bag is now on Lo’ak’s hands, who’s staring at both me and Neteyam, wide eyed, eyebrows raised
He’s sharing the candy with Kiri, who chews slowly while also watching us, a wide smile on her lips
My cheeks redden immediately, I try to look anywhere but back at them
Neteyam’s ears are bright red, redder than I’ve ever seen them. He clears his throat
“Why’d you stop? Do it again!!” Tuk exclaims to Neteyam. Her hands are still full of the M&M’s I gave her before, her tongue multicolored from the candy
——————————————————
It’s late now, I can hear the soft rustle of the trees from outside of the hut as I lay on my hammock, trying to get a good night’s sleep before tomorrow’s voyage to the Metkayina’s region
I smile softly, remembering the Sully’s goodbyes before leaving my hut for the night
—————FLASHBACK——————
“Sleep well (y/n)!! I’ll be coming back for more of that stuff” Lo’ak says, pointing at the now empty bag of M&M’s, hand on my shoulder as he wishes me goodnight
“Thank you for the delicious little colored thingies (y/n)!! Sleep well” Kiri says, giving me a side hug as she leaves
“(Y/n)!!!!” Tuk exclaims, hugging me tight by my legs “I loved the chocolate!!!! thank you so so so so so much!!!!!” She excitedly says, jumping in place while still holding me
My eyes widen, I hug her back tightly, laughing
Oops, I think, looks like I ended up giving someone a sugar rush
She suddenly dashes after Lo’ak and Kiri
“That’ll be hard to explain” Neteyam says, laughing. He’s the last one to leave my hut
We see Tuk jump on Lo’ak’s back, almost tackling him to the ground
I laugh “Don’t worry, it’ll pass soon, I think” I say
We laugh, Neteyam now stands in front of me at the entrance of my hut
“(Y/n)” He starts, smiling softly at me “Thank you… truly. They really needed that. Today wasn’t easy, and tomorrow will probably be even harder, but you gave them a little something to smile about, and for that I am very grateful”
I look back into his eyes, there’s a lot of emotion in them, I find myself getting a bit lost inside his gaze
I slowly smile at him “That was nothing! It was the least I could do after everything you all have done for me” I tell him
“But…How about you? Did it cheer you up too?” I ask him
His smile falters just a little, his eyes widening a bit “Me?” he asks, “I don’t- I’m not-“
“It’s okay” I interrupt him, “We don’t have to talk about it right now if you don’t want to. But I’ve noticed you always try to be strong for both your parents and your siblings, especially Tuk” I smile at him
“It’s really admirable, but it doesn’t mean you can’t be sad as well” I continue “It’s your home too, you’re allowed to feel bad about leaving it” I finish
I stare at him, he seems at a loss for words. We stay in silence for a bit
He swallows hard, jaw tense, staring intensely into my eyes
Suddenly breathing out, he says “You’re a really observant person (y/n)” his voice falters a bit, a small smile growing on his lips
My cheeks heat up a bit. I smile awkwardly at him “You’re one to talk!! You always seem to get me out of uncomfortable situations”
“And you seem to always save me from life or death ones” he smiles wider at me, a playful glint on his eyes
I laugh loudly at that, my eyes crinkling “Just accept the compliment Neteyam!!”
He laughs as well, his eyes never leaving mine, he slowly uses two of his fingers to grab mine, softly saying “Thank you (y/n)”
My cheeks redden again, I swallow hard, squeezing his fingers back softly “Y-you’re welcome”
He smiles “If you ever need to talk, or anything at all, I’m always here yeah? Just call for me and I’ll be there” he says
“Right back at you, mighty warrior” I say the last part in a lower, softer tone, unlike the teasing one i’ve used on him until now
——END OF THE FLASHBACK——
My stomach churns as I recall the interaction with Neteyam, a smile involuntarily coming to my lips. I rest my forearm above my eyes
Why am I feeling like this??

Just wondering if you would ever consider writing a Matty fic where he falls in love with a fan in the audience of a show? Maybe he writes songs about it all? It’s very cliche but man does it pull on my heart strings, the Cinderella of it all. Getting swept up into his life like that would be so romantic.

Part one
Strayed a little but it’s still very much fluff filled, maybe not what you’d first expect? Idk, that sounds strange but I hope you enjoy it anyway! Thank you for the prompt!<3
Part Two
Tumblr media
--
It was official.
After days of relentless pleading and having been so blatantly coerced into it by my mum and younger sister, I’d finally relented and given in to attending the concert. And I sort of hated myself for it. Strange, I know, but now I had no choice but to see some fuck-off band- I’d never even heard of- with my teenage sister and her best mate, who were practically mad about them.
I mean, I love the girls, I truly do. With all my heart. But having to spend an entire evening with them, surrounded by a thousand other screaming fans, just wasn’t something I was looking too forward to.
And who could honestly blame me?
You see, it had all begun earlier that same week. I’d been on my lunch break, grateful to have just a minute to myself, when my mum had called. We’d gone through the motions, happy to catch up; she told me the gossip whirling round back home (next door were back to rowing again and Tracey in the post office had fallen pregnant for the seventh time); she’d asked after me, like she always did, questioned if I was eating enough, sleeping alright, if I’d met anyone new…
My mum and I had always been pretty close. She’d had me young, I was her first baby- something she never failed to remind me of- and we’d sort of grown up together. Seeing as how my father (nickname: The Sperm-Doner- yes, the caps were necessary) had gone and fallen into all kinds of shit and ultimately decided to fuck off when things had gotten too real. She was my rock, the one person I could count on to defend my corner, and always believed in everything I ever set my mind to.
It had been hard on the both of us when I’d left home, especially seeing as I was now a couple dozen cities away. But life continued on and we adapted, I went back to visit as much as I possibly could, and called whenever I had the time. Even though in moments when all I really needed was a good hug from her, it was easy to remember what I was doing this all for, and that my family was only a train journey away. They were a constant, even if they lived a couple hundred miles from me.
So she had phoned, I’d immediately noticed the stress which underlined her tone and I’d asked what was up. She’d danced around the topic as much as she could- she hated asking for things, ‘that’s my job,’ she liked to reiterate whenever something occurred and I tried to help out. But I’d dragged it out of her in the end. And oh how I now wished that I’d just left it.
Because here I was, stood in the freezing cold, outside of the O2 arena, in a line full of a couple hundred other excited fans who were all waiting eagerly for the gates to open.
The two girls were squirming beside me, so ecstatic you’d have thought that I’d gone and laced their drinks with something other than sugar, jumping all about the place whilst they squealed to one another in such a high pitched tone that anyone else would’ve believed that they were conversing in another language all together.
It was amusing to a point, because I could honestly recall the same euphoric high I’d felt when I’d finally gotten tickets to an Arctic Monkeys gig almost a decade ago now.
Internally I winced as the memory drifted to the forefront of my mind, feeling far too old for my twenty-three years.
But I could also admit that I was honestly in a tad bit of a mood, had been for the last half hour or so, because I truly fucking hated the cold. And right now? It was baltic and I was freezing my tits off.
I’d already buried my face into the opening of the leather jacket I’d thrown on that morning and wrapped my arms around my torso to enclose some of my remaining heat, but it was of little use. I was still shivering away with a frown.
I’d gotten a couple of lingering looks whilst here, something I’d noticed but could’ve cared less about. It was far too cold to be stood about waiting in any sort of line, so they could all excuse me for not being overly delighted with the whole ordeal.
I sighed and peered down at my phone screen, glancing at the time, then double checked my pockets for the tickets I’d been handed on arrival and told to guard with my life.
It was probably the twentieth time I’d done so, because who in their right mind would give me, of all people, something important to look after? I was the least irresponsible person I knew when it came to being organised.
Because listen, I could get anywhere on time, I was insanely good at that- a job interview, an airport, a school play… But nine times out of ten, I’d almost always forget the one thing I’d needed most. My resume, everybody’s passports, the wig I’d worn one halloween and promised to my younger brother so that he could complete his costume in time for his class assembly…
Yeah, so I was a bit of a mess. But who wasn’t?
Albeit saying that, I had ultimately been the one to score these tickets. My mum and step-dad had gifted them to my younger sister as an early Christmas present after she’d literally begged for months on end during the lead up to the drop of the presale.
It had just been the three of us, all sat down in the family living room, back home up north, earlier this year. We’d counted down the minutes, a dozen devices in hand and at the ready, and it had been something short of a miracle, in all truth.
The website had crashed a couple times, my step-dad’s phone had died, and then my laptop had quickly followed. The dog had knocked over a freshly made brew and almost pissed itself. And then the postman had scared the absolute life out of us when he’d knocked on the front door.
So to say that we had all breathed in sudden relief when I’d loudly announced that I’d managed it, was a MASSIVE understatement.
Note. The worst part to seeing your favourite band live; Ticketmaster.
Even the thought of doing it again had me riddled with anxiety. I shivered involuntary, whether it was from the mere idea of it, or the cold, I’d never know.
But being stood here now, I was cursing myself for having been the one to officially bag the stupid things. I sighed inwardly, if only I wasn’t such a brilliant, caring and amazing older sister. But it was a hard life, I supposed.
“I’m so excited!” My sister, Rosie, squealed, drawing me from my thoughts. She’d gripped onto Tea’s arm in her sudden bout of elation, and the two shared a maddening grin. The other girl didn’t seem to mind the tight grip her best friend held, and so I figured it was probably down to the anticipation of it all- or the fact that it was still so bloody cold.
The thing about Rosie and Tea was, they had been as thick as thieves for as long as I could remember. There’d never been one without the other, and so it was sweet to see the pair looking so forward to something like this, something which they both shared such an obvious love for.
“I know!” Tea breathed dramatically, looking a little flushed, “I want to meet them so bad, it actually hurts.”
I fought the urge to roll my eyes at the pair, in good fun of course, because they were both so adorably obsessed.
Oh, to be a teen again.
“You two are really looking forward to this,” I commented with a light chuckle, watching on as the two girls danced around happily in the small section we’d claimed. “I just don’t get it.”
Once those words had left my lips, I instantly regretted it. Having been met with the deathly glare of two teenage girls was not something I’d offer up to just anyone.
“Are you serious?” My sister outrightly demanded, staring up at me with a face of utter bewilderment. Scarily, she looked a lot like our mum in that moment. “They’re The 1975, Y/n. They’re- incredible! You must have heard at least one of their songs!”
Tea nodded her head alongside Rosie, bobbing up and down in agreement.
I simply shrugged at the pair of them, finding amusement in their infatuation. “Can’t say that I have, Ro.”
“But, Y/n/n, you love bands! Music in general- I’d bet my whole vinyl collection that you’ll love them too!” Rosie stressed, she then smiled brightly up at me when I merely quirked a brow in retort. I dug my hands deeper into my pockets.
“I like bands, yeah. Band’s like The Stone Roses, The Kooks, Joy Division… The type that make music for music’s sake, you know? Not the kind that strive to get on the top ten, babe.”
I shook my head fondly at the two.
This band they were so enamoured by were probably just as decent as they claimed, and I could admit that simply because, well, they’d have to be to have all these crazy fans gathered in one place. But they just weren’t my cup of tea.
Ooh, talking of tea, I was proper gagging for one. I’d yet to have my daily fix, and after having been rudely rushed out of my flat early this morning, I’d been unable to stop off at any sort of coffee shop on the way over in fear of losing a spot in line.
The two teens rolled their eyes at me, and my forehead pinched when my sister pulled out a pair of headphones and all but shoved them into my ears. “Look, just listen, okay?”
I reeled back in alarm, having not expected the sudden ambush. “Christ, Ro!” I exclaimed, but the girl only huffed at me before turning to press play on her phone. She gave me a stern look. I relented.
At first, I couldn’t hear anything but the slow intro to an unfamiliar song- even with the swarm of fans gathered around me. But I continued to listen, honing in on the tempo and its melody. And as the song went on, I begun to understand why so many people enjoyed it. The lyrics, although a bit out there and entertainingly vulgar at parts, were smart and witty, they fell with the instrumental perfectly and the singer’s voice was pretty different to what I’d first expected. It made me want to really listen, to follow along, to understand the backstory.
Honestly, they weren’t half as terrible as I’d first believed. And once the outro had faded out, I actually felt a little conflicted. The song obviously had a much deeper meaning to it, but its instrumental made it so lively and energetic that I’d found myself bobbing along almost subconsciously. It was something I could see myself getting lost in, and I wondered whether or not they’d made anything more raw, or emotional.
The songwriter was definitely talented, I couldn’t deny that, they’d had gone through some shit, and I found myself longing to read deeper into their words.
“They’re sick, right?”
The headphones being ripped out of my ears brought me back to the present and I blinked slowly at my sister’s question.
“Yeah.” I shrugged a shoulder, handing over the wire. “Yeah, they’re alright. Can sort of see why you two like them so much.”
I laughed to myself when the girls faces lit up.
“They’re amazing! And you’ll so enjoy this show- as well as the boys! They’re proper nice deep down, like really care about us as fans and all that.” Tea encouraged, seemingly quite happy that I hadn’t just gone and shit all over her favourite band.
“Yeah, they’re so lovely, Y/n!” Rosie added, eyes alive as she barrelled on to explain further, “There’s four of them, right? First, we have Adam, he plays the guitar mainly- blonde, tall, only one who’s started his own little family. And then there’s Ross and George-”
“Ross is on bass, long haired with a beard, whilst George plays the drums.” Tea weighed in, before Rosie was back to chattering away again.
I was honestly beginning to feel as though I was watching an extreme game of tennis with the way my attention kept batting back and forth between them.
“Tea’s obsessed with him.” Rosie felt the need to inform me, before her face immediately brightened, “Oh, and then there’s Matty of course!”
My sister was wearing one of the biggest grins I’d ever witnessed on any singular person and I snorted when Tea rolled her eyes and made a slight dig, “You can see who Ro’s claimed.”
“Hardy har.” Rosie deadpanned, jutting a light elbow into her friend’s side before she gave me a serious look, “I haven’t ‘claimed’ him. I just…”
“You just want to have his children. Yeah, I know, Rose. You never fail to not mention it.”
Rosie stuck her tongue out in retort whilst I tried to bite back my rising amusement when they continued to bicker. The two made a right pair.
“So, what’s this Matty like then?” I questioned, wanting to know a little bit more about the guy who’d caught my sister’s eye, but mainly just eager to poke a bit more fun at her. “Come on, what’s so great about him that you’ve gone and dubbed yourself a tribute to birth his prodigy spawn?”
The girls wrinkled their noses at me, Rosie’s upper lip curled in faint disgust. “Why’ve you gotta word it like that?” She scoffed, shaking her head at me.
I chuckled, shrugging a singular shoulder. “Because I live to annoy you. So, are you gonna tell me or do I have to ask about?”
I made the effort then to pretend as though I was about to disrupt the group behind us’s conversation, but the girls were quick to waylay me, jumping hastily to grab at my outstretched hand. I smirked.
“Stop it!” Rosie all but hissed, her worried eyes flicking back over towards the people beside us before falling on me again, this time they were slitted. “God, you’re so embarrassing.”
Me, embarrassing? Hah. She should be thankful that I knew when to stop. I could still vividly recall the days when my mum had attempted the same shit with me, except she’s the type to actually follow through, leaving her daughter to stand sheepishly behind her, internally cursing the day her mother had decided to forgo an abortion. Dark, yes, but I’d also been a hormonal fifteen year old girl, so sue me.
I rolled my eyes instead of voicing this though, knowing it would only go in one ear and out the other. And ultimately, my sister sighed allowing me to prompt her on further with the rise of my brows.
“Matty, he’s the frontman basically.” She said, back to talking with her hands, forgetting about the whole ordeal.
That made sense, I thought to myself, although I’d always been a drummer sort of girl. Helders, Taylor, Fleetwood, Bonham, Moretti… I could go on.
No honestly, I could, so I was just glad that Rosie chose that moment to stop me.
“He’s a proper performer, you know? Like he just belongs up there, on stage.” My sister breathed, and she wore the sweetest look of admiration on her face. “He’s got this mop of messy black curls and he’s covered in tattoos. Wears all this cool shit and he’s-”
“-also a bit of an arsehole.” Tea summarised for her, before Rosie could get too carried away.
I blinked at my sister’s best friend in surprise, before a loud laugh bubbled out of me.
In all the years I’d known this girl, this deceivingly sweet girl, not once- once, I stress!- had I ever heard something so shameless spill from out her mouth, and with the exasperated look she had paired with it, I couldn’t hold in my delight.
“Tea!” I exclaimed, and was so tickled to see the younger girl’s cheeks redden when she turned to give me a sheepish sort of smile. “How crass! I always thought it was Rosie who’d been the bad influence between the pair of you, but now I see quite a few secrets are coming to light tonight.”
Rosie snorted in reply, “She’s done worse. Trust me.”
Tea swatted at my sister’s arm upon hearing that, widening her eyes in a silent warning.
“Oh, come off it.” Rosie waved away with a roll of her eyes. “It’s just Y/n.”
I decided to leave off of the teasing, feeling a bit bad for embarrassing the younger girl. “Yeah, I’m just messing, lovie.” I told Tea with a soft smile as I draped an arm over her shoulders to draw her in for a hug. “You can relax, nothing that happens tonight will be getting back to your mum, alright?”
“Yeah, ‘cause we all know what she’s like.” Rosie tittered under her breath and I slapped lightly at her bicep to scold her. “What?” The girl exaggerated with a high-pitched drawl, rubbing at her arm with a narrowed eyed glare that was directed towards both Tea and I. “I was just saying! And what’s with you two and smacking me about today?”
Tea giggled and I squeezed her lightly before letting go.
“Don’t talk about things that have nothing to do with you.” I told my sister simply, “Freya’s a perfectly lovely woman, just a tad…”
“Insane?” Rosie offered, at the same time Tea said, “Extreme.”
“Eccentric- was what I was going to say.” I shook my head at the duo. “Honestly, the two of you.”
The girls only laughed.
The line started to move a little while later, slowly mind, but it was a progress I was grateful to see.
Anything to get out of this chilly wind in truth.
And as we waddled along, the two teens I was with continued to speak of the band, trying to catch me up on anything and everything I’d missed before the show officially started.
Not that it helped at all. I was beyond crap when it came to things like that- recalling anything trivial- I could hardly even remember the band’s actual name and it was plastered practically everywhere around me. As well as this big box thing.
I breathed out a loud sigh of relief when I realised that we were up next, and when we were signalled over towards the gates by one of the arenas guards I could see just how nervous Rosie and Tea had grown, giddy but mostly eager to just get inside. I couldn’t help the fond smile which limned my lips then, happy to see them so excited.
“You three.” A large man, branded in a security uniform, called, jerking his head over at us. I heard the girls take a deep breath as we approached and I quietly chuckled at them. “Tickets?” He stated.
Oh shit, yeah. The tickets.
“Tickets…” I murmured quietly to myself, patting down my pockets to find them, “Tickets, tickets, tickets…”
I could feel the apprehension radiating off of my younger sister as I continued to riffle around for the poxy things, and so I flashed the bloke a wry smile before I started to unload the contents of my jacket pockets into both Rosie and Tea’s hands...
Gum, house keys, a stray tampon. Pack of haribo (because you never knew when you’d need those), ID, bank card, phone, charger. A few spare pound coins-
Oh God, that was where my Argos receipt had got to! I could finally return that shitty Nespresso machine my cousin and her fiancé had talked me into buying now.
I grinned in quiet victory whilst tucking the slip into the back pocket of my trousers.
“Y/n.” My sister stressed out in a hushed whisper, I just simply waved her off.
“They’re here somewhere. I felt them like, twenty minutes ago.” I assured her and- “Aha, told you! Three tickets, all here!”
I wore a triumphant grin when I held out the wrinkled papers towards the guard, who appeared to have been throughly amused by my prolonged charade. He took them from me to scan with a toothy smile.
“Oh cheer up, we’ll be in there in a sec.” I huffed at the girls, tucking all of my belongings back into their rightful place. Rosie didn’t look too cheerful though, but I could see that Tea’s lips had started to twitch, so I have her a conspiratorial wink in turn. Then glanced back towards the bloke, “We all good here?”
“Yeah, all good, love.” He exhaled on a faint chuckle, waving us in through the barrier without further issue. “You girls enjoy your night.”
“We will!” I promised, gifting him a gleeful smile, “You too- hope you don’t have to spend too much longer out in that cold!”
He just nodded at me, still looking rather entertained by all our antics.
“So embarrassing.” My sister felt the need to reiterate as we wondered further into the arena, practically growling.
“Oh, loosen up, would you? He was proper nice about it all. Fit too, don’t you think?” I said, glancing back over my shoulder.
But Rosie just rolled her eyes at me. Fed up, I was about to bite back at her when Tea’s unexpected gasp broke us from our little quarrel.
“Oh my god. They have the limited edition LP!”
Rosie’s eyes widened dramatically and before I knew it the two were scurrying away from me and over towards the merch stand. I sighed to myself and glanced about, hoping to see a sign that would lead me to where the bar might be.
We were here. In the middle of a fucking mass of people, but we’d actually done it. We’d finally managed to swindle our way near the front of standing, practically touching the barriers, even after having loaded up on snacks and drinks- mine mostly alcoholic.
The girls were buzzing. Looking all cute and excited in the outfits they’d planned months in advance, singing along to the set that was playing through the speakers to keep the crowd entertained before things begun.
And me? I was getting swept up in the atmosphere. Unable to believe that I’d almost forgotten how good it all felt. Because live music was truly unmatched.
There was just something about the heavy thud you felt in your veins, how being this close to the amps could make your chest ache in the very best way, and how’d you’d have to scream just to be heard over all the noise whilst you got lost in an avalanche of happy people.
It really had been too long.
I was already a fair few drinks in by the time the opening act came out, and was chatting away to the couple crowded beside us. They were both a year older than me and studying down in Bournemouth. They’d bought their tickets off of a mate, who hadn’t been able to make it, on a whim when they’d had the cash to spare, and had decided to make a weekend out of it.
We’d actually only gotten to talking when they’d almost sloshed a canned cocktail all down my back.
I’d been startled at first, rightfully so, as this giant of a man had all but stumbled right into me, eyes as wide as saucers. His boyfriend had come to his rescue though, offered me up one in apology, and who would I have been to deny?
So I’d cracked it open, found myself pleasantly surprised by the taste, and one thing had quickly led to another and they’d ended up letting me share the bagged vodka they’d also managed to smuggle into the stadium in the bands of their socks.
To say that I’d been impressed wouldn’t have been a lie, I sort of felt like I’d found my people in truth. Because the price of alcohol at these kind of events was always extortionate. Practically daylight robbery, there was no other way about it.
And my bank account had taken quite the hit from the first trip to the stands alone. And with two teenage girls, who could care less about money unless it was their own, I’d almost wanted to shed a tear when I’d handed over my card to the boy behind the till- he’d sympathised with me, I’d seen it in his eyes as he wished us a good time.
So here I now was, pissing it up in the pit with a bunch of strangers, a medical bag full of spirits clutched tightly in one hand.
“Oh, God! Y/n, Y/n! It’s starting!”
I turned away from one of the boys to glance back towards my sister, who was staring up at the stage with this starry eyed expression, Tea was right beside her wearing the exact same face. I chuckled beneath my breath.
“You girls ever been to a show before?” Lewis, one half of the couple I’d met earlier, asked Rosie.
My sister shook her head at his question whilst the screens above us begun to distort and screams overwhelmed the arena. Lewis merely chuckled at Rosie's nonverbal reply, she only had eyes for the stage it seemed.
“It’s her first gig ever. She’s been dying to see these lot for years.” I answered for her, leaning in close so that he could hear.
I saw his eyebrows lift at the information before he was grinning against my ear. “She’ll never want to see anyone else after this!”
My forehead pinched, silently questioning his statement, but just laughed it off when a row of boxes flashed brightly above us.
Lewis and I separated on cue, just as the world around us hushed for a split second and the sudden intro of a loud guitar pierced the veil.
“Please welcome, my favourite band, The 1975!” A voice then announced and I looked up, right into the eyes of a man who’d seemingly taken claim of the stage.
His smile was wide, unmatched, as he pranced up and down the front, his hair a mess of curls as a set of drums picked up the pace of the opening beat. I had to be reminded to close my gawping mouth.
Who the fuck’s that?
And I must’ve said it out loud, because I heard Lewis snort obnoxiously from right beside me, continuing to sing away whilst the girls immediately turned towards me to shout, “Matty!”
Shockingly, their loud exclamation also managed to garner the attention of the man himself when he danced by, and I watched on as the dark-haired frontman smiled down at Rosie and Tea. Waving hello.
I was caught by utter surprise when I then found myself trapped in his heady gaze, still giggling away at the girls' hysterical reactions.
Okay. Before I continue on, I truly am putting this all down to the alcohol that was streaming through my system, because it was then that Matty appeared to pause before me for the briefest of moments.
And I didn’t dare look away. I couldn’t.
He smirked down at me, eyes so observant, and I found myself shaking my head at him with a smile of my own. But sadly he only left me with a sly wink as he traipsed away to sing out into the rest of the audience.
Rosie and Tea had squealed beside me, excited to have captured the singer's focus, whilst I tried to catch my breath.
The show continued on after that and I allowed myself to relax and get lost in the people, their heat, the music. I danced, the girls and I swayed, twirling about, Lewis and I laughed, and I even managed to sing along to a couple of songs I sort of recognised.
The current one came to an end though soon enough, and Rosie informed me with a glossy eyed smile and smudged liner that the last song was fast approaching, whilst Tea just pulled out her phone to record again.
I nodded at my sister, squeezing her close before she pivoted away back towards her best mate, leaving me to sip at the drink I’d been trying not to spill all down myself due to the constant shoving and pushing.
Minutes went by and Matty engaged with the burly bloke on bass- whose hair I found I’d rather like to touch (because honestly, how did he get it so glossy?). Before he continued on, pointing out signs here and there, and sparking up another massive round of cheers by vocalising the inner workings of his mind, which was something he supposedly did quite often. Enough for the rest of the band to begin playing again only to shut him up. That had made me giggle.
Dozens of faces passed over the main screen, most of them beaming, or crying, there wasn’t much of an inbetween. And Matty interacted with them all, grinning and joking in such a way that only screamed sincerity.
The shouts around us only started to double then when he made his way over to our section, and even my own heartbeat sped up as I watched his eyes drag over the absurdly large crowd. He was unfairly attractive, okay? I could easily see why my sister had taken such a shine to him.
He was smiling and my pulse stuttered then stopped altogether when Matty paused right by us, to look me directly in the eye, his eyebrows drawn tightly together.
“Alright, darling? Having a good night?” He quizzed me, the sudden weight of his attention making me jump even though the surrounding screams had yet to cease. “What’s in the bag?”
I glanced down at the liquid filled bag I was still holding, gaze drifting to Lewis for a split second before it darted back up towards the singer. “Vodka.” I told him before I could think better of it.
The sound Matty produced then was almost inhuman and I was actually quite proud of myself for having been the cause of it.
“Definitely snuck that in.” He accused, quieter this time around and with a growing smile. The audience laughed.
Rosie and Tea spun around to face me, huge smiles threatening to split their faces in half, as my brows pinched.
“Way to out me to an entire arena!” I instantly called back, ducking slightly to avoid the eyes of the hefty security man stood on the other side of the barricade. Matty’s cackle echoed out around me, coming from all directions.
“Oi, mate! Escort her out, will you?” Matty ordered, nodding down at the same man I’d previously noticed. “Ruining it for everyone.”
I gaped, eyes widening in sudden alarm whilst he just shook his head at me, feigning disappointment.
Thankfully though the singer was quick to go back on his word, waving the guard (who had actually begun to MOVE) off with a sway of his hand and a thoroughly amused grin.
Fuck, this man was really going to be the death of me, I thought.
I willed my racing heart to slow.
“I’m just joking, love.” Matty reassured me, eyes twinkling under the array of lights. “Spotted you a couple times tonight, actually. Like to stand out, don’t you?”
It didn’t sound like much of a question.
“Might do.”
I could physically feel my brain struggling to make my mouth cooperate, and I figured I might’ve drunk a tad too much, because I usually wasn’t this tactless. Which was how I managed to surprise even myself with the next sentence I fired back.
“Or maybe it’s just you.”
“Just me?” Matty queried with a tilt of his head, and he squatted down then, bouncing on the balls of his feet for a moment before he took perch on the side of the stage. “What do you mean?”
“You’re the one who spotted me.” I retorted with a smug smile, raising my voice to be heard. “I’m just one face in a thousand. Nothing I did.”
He hummed, mouth quirked to one side. “So this is all on me then?”
I shrugged casually, but my mind was reeling.
Matty laughed before he motioned me closer. “Here’re.” He prompted, jutting his chin out and willing the crowd to woefully part. “Come on, let her through. Let her through.”
I frowned but did as I was told, slipping my way past the few who had actually managed to claim the metal fence before us, quirking a confused brow up at him.
He towered above me, even from where he was seated on the stage, and I willed back my shock when he proceeded to jump down from off his perch and approach me. My heart hammered and a lump formed in my throat.
“Have you got a favourite song of ours?” He asked and I actually felt how embarrassed I must have looked in that moment, gifting the singer a sheepish smile before I quietly informed him that I didn't have one.
His head jerked back, “What do you mean, you don’t have one?”
The sudden crow of Rosie's voice sounded above the rest of the buzzing noise then and I was unsure on whether or not to be grateful for it.
“She’d never heard any of them before tonight!”
I grimaced slightly from behind the hand that had come up to hide my face, silently hoping for the ground to just open up and swallow me whole. I could feel the heat radiating in my cheeks and the tips of my ears, knowing full well that Tea was definitely recording every inch of this mortifying moment.
“Oh, so we have a fake fan within our midsts?” Matty voiced and it was full of mirth, he found pleasure in his teasing.
A soft brush touched my skin and before I even knew what was occurring my hand was being pried away from my flushed cheeks by the singer himself, who looked me dead in the eye and had the utter nerve to wear the most devastating grin.
“Is this all part of your plan? Lure me in and then break my heart. How’re you at my gig, after never having heard a single one of our songs?”
“I’ve heard a few!”
But my attempt to defend myself was waylaid, it seemed Matty had other ideas.
The frontman nodded over towards Rosie, who blanched under his gaze. “Go on. Tell me more. What’s her motive here?”
I watched on as Tea nudged my younger sister into talking, Rosie too shellshocked to remember that she had the biggest gob I’d known to man.
“Um,” My sister startled, blinking away before she took a deep breath, “I dragged her along tonight. Me and my friend, we’re huge fans!”
“Lovely to meet you. Glad you could make it- only wish you’d made a listener out of this one beforehand!”
“We’ve tried!” Rosie exclaimed with an exasperated sigh that had me rolling my eyes. It appeared as though she'd reverted back to her usual self, despite being under the gaze of her favourite person in the entire world. Yes, you could be assured that that was an actual quote.
“Oh it’s like that is it?” Matty asked, peering down at me. I couldn’t tear my gaze away, his brown eyes smudged with kohl making them that much more enticing.
His attention differed then, flitting back towards my sister.
“She seemed to be enjoying the set whenever I looked over though, so what happened?”
“She’s stubborn!” Rosie shouted back, and I could hear her muffled laughter through the crowd, probably upon seeing me so put out.
“Stubborn, are we?” Matty smirked, and his lips were by my ear before I knew any better, his mic long forgotten. “I like a challenge.”
And then he was gone, back to wooing the crowd and making the most of having all this attention.
I let myself slip back into the seams, breathing heavily as my sister and Tea joggled me about, Lewis and his boyfriend beaming madly from ear to ear. I tried to focus.
What had just happened?

Actual Children | Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist | N.R Masterlist
Words: 0.8k
Summary: When Natasha introduced you to her sister she had no idea that you would be two peas in a pod.
✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧
A couple of months ago you were introduced to your girlfriend's sister, Yelena.
Natasha had initially been worried that Yelena wouldn't like you, not that you were a bad person. You just had major golden retriever energy and Natasha was just worried that Yelena wouldn't take you seriously or something.
However, the complete opposite happened. You brought out the stupidest and most silliest side of Yelena, and now Natasha had two of you to deal with.
It started when you two first met. You didn't exactly scream 'confidence' when people look at you, so when you walked into Yelena's home looking a bit lost, she raised an eyebrow at you. Natasha was preparing to throw her sister into a wall if she said anything that would upset you, but she needn't have worried.
When you immediately complimented her vest and showed great, genuine interest in the pockets, she smiled and dragged you upstairs to show you more vests and how she makes the modifications.
Nat scoffed and sat on the couch, playing games on her phone to pass the time. But when an hour had passed she got bored, so went upstairs to look for the two of you, but you weren't there. She frowned and looked all over the house but you were nowhere to be seen.
She started to get a bit worried when there was absolutely no sight of you, so ran outside to see if all of the cars were still there, however, she was stopped in her tracks when she heard the sound of your infectious giggles along with Yelena shouting things.
Looking down the street, she had to hold in a laugh as she saw you and Yelena racing golf carts. You two looked like you were having the time of your life, and she was glad that you were getting along, but she was a stickler for health and safety when it came to you. So, she scolded you slightly when you came back inside.
Yelena told her to remove the stick from her ass, to which you laughed at, earning a warning glare from your girlfriend.
This was just the start of your adventures with Yelena.
She would often visit the compound, which you loved, everyone else not so much. They all loved you. They all loved Yelena. Together though... let's just say they tended to hide the pointy items that may be lying around.
There had been multiple occasions where Tony had to fix a wall or something because one of you had ended up being thrown through it.
The team would often be concerned when they heard your booming laughs getting closer, as they knew that something was about to happen, and they could never predict what.
Natasha would always have to get up and check on what you were doing and put a stop to your antics. Sometimes she could let them go, like when you two were just skidding around the compound's hardwood flooring in fluffy socks.
But when you two were found to be heading up to the roof wearing parachutes, she had to drag you both downstairs by the collar of your shirts.
"Don't be a party pooper, Natasha", was often mumbled by Yelena.
Today you had been left mostly alone as the rest of the team seemed to be very busy with paperwork, something you didn't tend to dabble in unless Steve yelled at you for not doing it. But today you weren't going to do it, you were taking your sixth 'me day' in a row.
Your day was interrupted, however, by a certain blonde showing up unannounced and immediately asking FRIDAY where you were, running into the common room when she got her answer.
At hearing footsteps approaching, you turned and smiled when you spotted her, "Lena!".
"Hey Y/n", she beamed, then threw a huge bag of giant marshmallows at you. You both gave each other big Cheshire cat grins, having wanted to do this for a while, so you knew exactly what to do.
Natasha had asked FRIDAY to inform her of Yelena's presence when she was in the compound due to her new tendency to just show up unannounced, and so when she was told of her arrival, she immediately headed into the common room as well.
She saw you two giggling as you opened the marshmallow packet, it seemed like an innocent enough gesture, but with you two there was never anything innocent, so she placed herself on the couch next to you.
"Who thinks I can fit fifteen of these marshmallows into my mouth?", you asked the room with excitement.
Nat shook her head, "You're a hazard to society".
"You're also a coward, do twenty!", Yelena matched your energy.
Your joy was soon taken away though when Natasha yelled "NOPE!" as she snatched the bag away and threw it in the bin, laughing when she turned around and saw how your faces were painted with betrayal.
"You monster", you muttered, placing your head in the crook of Yelena's neck as she comforted you over the loss of the precious squishy marshmallows.

Have you read this part of the book, Plant?! I'm screaming. Harry is recounting the Whole Foods pap walk as told to him by Meghan. The lies! Meghan sounds unhinged & like a pathological liar with this description lol At least, make the story believable, M🙄
In the actual pap photos, no one was around her or chasing her lol It looked like no one even knew who she was.
“Still, despite the mounting stress, the terrible pressure, we managed to protect our essential bond, never snapping at each other during those few days. As we came to the final hours of her visit, we were solid, happy, and Meg announced she wanted to make me a special goodbye lunch. There was nothing in my fridge, as usual. But there was a Whole Foods down the street. I gave her directions, the safest route, past the Palace guards, turn right, towards Kensington Palace Gardens, down to Kensington High Street, there’s a police barrier, take a right and you’ll see Whole Foods. It’s massive, you can’t miss it.I had an engagement but I’d be home soon.Baseball cap, jacket, head down, side gate. You’ll be fine, I promise. Two hours later, when I got home, I found her inconsolable. Sobbing. Shaking. What is it? What’s happened? She could barely get the story out. She’d dressed just as I’d advised, and she’d run happily, anonymously, up and down the supermarket aisles. But as she rode the escalator a man approached. Excuse me, do you know where the exit is?Oh, yes, I think it’s just up here to the left[…]”
“He whipped out his phone and followed her to the deli counter, snapping away while she looked at the turkey. F the turkey, she thought, hurrying to the checkouts. He followed her there too.She got into the queue. Before her were rows and rows of magazines and newspapers, and on all of them, under the most shocking and disgusting headlines…was her. The other customers noticed as well. They looked at the magazines, looked at her, and now they too pulled out their phones, like zombies.Meg caught two cashiers sharing a horrible smile. After paying for her groceries, she walked outside, straight into a group of four men with their iPhones aimed at her. She kept her head down, rushed up Kensington High Street. She was nearly home when a horse-drawn carriage came rolling out of Kensington Palace Gardens. Some sort of parade: the Palace gate was blocked. She was forced back along the main road, where the four men picked up the scent again, and chased her all the way to the main gate, screaming her name.”
That was wild. “The four men picked up the scent again…” good lord.

13. Wax play / size kink
Phantom x mountain
Prompts as always by the icon @kroas-adtam
Mountain catches phantom and makes him repent for his sins. Sequel to day 9 but can be read alone
Warnings for heavy religious bullshit, preacher mountain, religious guilt. Wax play. Me getting carried away about Catholicism again.
Phantom almost thought mountain was going to gut him on the spot the way he grabbed his scruff once the two were done.
“Meet me in the chapel” he growled in his ear.
So that’s where he sat.
Front row at the end of the pew. Hands folded and his lap and head down, waiting.
He waited for a long time.
The guilt continued to burn in his stomach. Perverted thoughts and sins eating at the lining of his insides. The images of mountain fucking Aurora continued to flash in front of his eyes, impossible to ignore. Impossible to ignore how he fucked into her. How she screamed. How big he looked under her. It has him chubbing up all over again before he can stop himself.
Finally after what seemed like hours he could hear the door open and close behind him.
Mountain walked up behind him silently. Only sound that could be heard was the squeak of the old wooden floorboards beneath his weight. Heavy step of his shoes on the floor. They pounded in phantoms ears as he got closer.
Mountain walked straight past him though and up onto the stage.
“Come here. Kneel.” His voice was commanding. Strict.
Phantom scrambled to his feet, practically falling over himself to walk up the small steps and kneel at mountains feet. Head still down and hands in his lap. He doesn’t dare look at mountain but he can feel his judgment bore through him.
Mountain stays silent. He knows his stature is making the smaller ghoul squirm in his position. Waiting and hanging onto every small sound the old building makes when mountain even shifts his weight. It’s torturous. The splintered floorboards covered in rough old carpet tear into phantoms knees but he tries to stay still anyways. He attempts to count the fibers in the carpet, inhales the old must of the chapel, focuses on the dust partials in the air to calm his nerves.
“Strip. Continue to kneel.”
Phantom rushes to shuck his clothes while mountain moves about the stage, he can hear his footsteps the the sounds of him grabbing different things, but he doesn’t dare look up.
He’s cold, bare, exposed. He’s vulnerable. Knelt unclothed before him, cock hard against his stomach. It’s embarrassing, shameful.
“And after all of that. You’re still hard? Do you not feel guilty?”
Phantom can hear his ears ringing, his face burning. He does feel guilty. He feels dirty and gross for his actions.
“Oh … you do feel guilty don’t you. And that’s why you’re so turned on”
He wished he didn’t point it out. Phantom winces at the words.
“Do you want to be forgiven? Do you want to show me how guilty you feel?”
“Please let me, please forgive me”
The click of a lighter is heard throughout the room.
“Look at me” mountain says
Phantoms lifts his head to stare at mountain for the first time since he caught them in the courtyard.
He’s dressed in his preacher uniform. Black button up shirt tucked into black trousers with the white band going through the collar. In one hand a lighter, the other a long thick red candle.
Phantom would be lying if he said seeing mountain like this didn’t turn him on even more.
“We will burn away your sins”
He watches mountain light the candle in his hand.
“Repent”
Mountain looms over him. A thick bead of wax falls down the candle and drips onto phantoms bare thigh making him hiss.
“Shit - im sorry, im sorry for my sins”
Mountain tips the candle forward, another bead of wax drips higher this time, almost directly next to his aching cock.
“You can do better”
“I’m sorry I was watching you I know better now I’m sorry please forgive me”
A long stream of wax runs down, coating his shoulder and dripping onto his chest.
“Tell me what you are”
“I’m a pervert. I’m a sick pervert”
Another drip of wax, onto the other shoulder
“Tell me what you want”
“I want to be forgiven”
Mountain grabs phantoms hair harshly, pull his head back to expose his neck. More seering red wax pours onto the column of his throat. The heat stings, makes him gasp as mountain continues to pour.
“No. Don’t lie to me. Tell me what you actually want”
Phantom breathes heavy, stares up at mountain in confusion. He can’t be asking him to tell him … that .. can he? Is that what he wants?
“You’re still hard. Confess”
Phantom gulps down a breath of air as mountain lets go of his scalp. His jaw trembles with the words he doesn’t want to say.
“I want your cock. I need it. I need you to fuck me mountain please. I need you to break me, heal me make me better anything-“ phantom babbles. Desperate and ashamed.
It’s hard for mountain not to smirk at the poor ghoul. Bare and guilty knelt in front of him, covered in red wax he’s sure will leave welts. Marks of his forgiveness.
“On your hands and knees”
Phantom easily obeys, leaning over to place his hands onto the old carpet, arches his back to present for mountain, submit to him.
Mountain moves behind him, still holding the candle as the hot wax pools in the divot where it’s been burned countless times. The air smells of smoke and herbs and lust. Something deeply religious and blasphemous.
A large hand settles on his hip before another stream of hot wax runs down his back. It’s a distinct burn. Not enough to have him truly injured but enjoy to hurt and keep him in place. A quick sting before it hardens on top of the sore skin.
“Please do something” phantom whines
“You need to be prepped, youre too tight, I’ll hurt you” mountain says. His tone has softened from before, something more forgiving and caring than the booming voice of judgment he had before.
“Please hurt me. Please make me pay. Make me repent” phantom nearly cries. He’s been hard for hours, it hurts and he feels guilty for his dirty thoughts and all he needs is mountain. He needs to prove himself.
“I will. I will make sure you prove yourself shadow. Don’t worry” a thick finger prods at his hole, attempting to open him up. Even just the one finger has him burning with the stretch, hands much larger than his own, two of his fingers could probably equate to the size of at least a couple of the cocks he’s taken. It’s a terrifying thought that has his mouth watering, the fact that if this is how big his fingers are, how big is his cock?
More wax is poured along his back, he arches against it, pushes back on the now two fingers mountain has inside him.
“Let me cleanse you of your sins shadow. Let me make you better, let me purify you”
It hurts when mountain finally attempts to push into him. It’s a stretch he could never imagine, filling him to absolute brim. He can feel it in his stomach, his chest, everywhere. It hurts, it takes his breath away. He craves more. The idea of mountain moving makes him want to cry.
“Are you ok shadow?” Mountain asks tenderly, smoothing another large hand over his back, through the long welts from the hot liquid.
“Please move. Please fuck me”
And mountain can’t resist. He starts slow, testing to see if phantom was actually alright, before going faster once he decided he can’t help himself. Phantom is tight, mountain can barely think with the small ghoul on his cock, whining like he’s never been fucked before. He pours more wax on him just to hear him whimper under the pain. It’s obscene, the poor thing crying out for his cock, begging to be forgiven. It’s truly not mountains fault if he gets close faster than he thought he would.
“Cl- close mountain please, need your hand on my cock. Touch me please” it’s a hard request to deny. And mountains hand practically swallows phantoms cock, obscuring the small thing from view when he reaches around him. It’s not long before he’s shooting into it and onto the carpet below them.
Mountain quickly pulls out before cumming onto phantoms back, long white ropes spilling onto the red hardened wax.
“You’ve been forgiven”

Hello! I saw your requests were open and was wondering if you could write a Morpheus x mortal!reader where he has a crush on her and Idk maybe they’re friends or something and he sees her kissing another guy at a party and gets jeaulous.
Or… maybe a Morpheus x Johanna’s apprentice!reader where they have to go on kind of a mission together to help/save Johanna and they end up falling in love?
Couldn’t choose between the two tbh 😅 Any of them would be fine. If its okay for you, ofc!
🫀REQUESTS ARE OPEN🫀
[TW: religious themes, demons, swear words] Sandman-inspired playlist
"I'm looking for Johanna Constantine," stated the stranger standing at your threshold. He was dressed in all black with pasty white skin that made him look either emaciated or vampire-like. Either way, it was a very uncommon taste but you didn't expect anything else from your boss's acquaintances.
"You and me both, man," you answered as you leaned against the doorframe. "She was supposed to go to some town outside of London, look at a girl and come back. Maybe do an exorcism but she sounded convinced it wouldn't be needed."
"When was that?"
"Like two days ago?" you said with a shrug. Most of the time, Johanna was stuck in a cycle of disappearing and showing up shortly after without even a scratch.
The stranger leaned in. His dark eyebrows furrowed only furthering his intimidating appearance. "And you haven't thought of finding her?" he asked in an unnerved voice.
"Of course I did!" you exclaimed while throwing your hands in the air. The last thing you wanted or needed was a random man suggesting you were irresponsible. "Who do you have me for, raven boy? The only thing stopping me from going after her is herself. Have you ever seen Johanna angry? No? I have and now I don't watch scary movies with my light on because I know there are worse things."
"Where is Johanna?" The man was growing impatient and angry. Whatever he needed her for, it was something that clearly couldn't wait.
The stranger's irritation was, truthfully, an expression of your own worries and desperation - lead-like dread had been sitting in your abdomen for the entire day. Perhaps it was time to brave through your fear of Johanna's anger and show some agency. "She's supposed to be in Dover, like 2 hours from here. I'll grab my keys and we can go."
But Morpheus grabbed the sleeve of your jacket before you could walk away. You were about to scold him, tell him that he's being very forward to a person he had only just met, but suddenly you weren't in your small apartment in London. In the distance, you heard sea waves crashing against cliffs and a flock of seagulls screaming over the shore: undoubtedly, you had found yourself in Dover.
"Come," he called out behind you. Judging by his aloofness, he must have often just reappeared wherever he wanted.
Turning around towards Morpheus, you saw a brick mansion with thick ivy covering its walls. The windows were either too dirty to see through them or the architect was strangely fond of opaque glass. The paint was chipping off the wooden door, silently suggesting that no one had taken care of the house in a long while. A murder of crows seemed to have taken over the mansion - a row of black birds sat along the ledge, staring at the two unwelcome guests. They seemed to grow irritated as their loud caws did not scare you off from their den.
"Creepy old house," you slowly said to yourself as you took in the disturbing sight. "That's definitely on my jeepers-creepers bingo."
"Did Johanna employ you as a jest?" His tendency to speak in a quite monotone voice made it difficult for you to decide whether it was a genuine question or an attempt at being mean.
"I hope not. I tend to have a very limited repertoire of cynicism and self-deprecation."
Suddenly, a muffled scream reached your ears. Among the crashing waves and seagulls it would have been impossible to hear it had you been standing even a few meters farther from the house. The crows also contributed to the general disruption. Wickedness, quite curiously, came with a drop of genius.
"Basement. Of course," you said in a low voice while slightly nodding to yourself. "Let's go."
Entering the cellar, your nostrils were instantaneously filled with the putrid smell of mould and rotting blood. The floor was covered in something wet and you were suddenly grateful for the lack of light in the concrete corridors - it was better to naively assume it was just water from faulty, old plumbing. Your heart was thundering in your chest as you followed Morpheus and his strides towards the screams and rattling of chains that only grew louder with each of your rushed steps.
With trembling hands, you pushed open the door at the end of the dark corridor. Sure enough, on the other side, you found the source of the blood-chilling screams. Across the concrete room was a man dressed in a cassock, who was speaking in a language you had never heard before. Was he... praying? High above his head levitated Johanna's body with limbs stretched out so much they threatened to completely dismember her at any second. She must have been screaming for hours on end as her voice became raspy. So far, both of them seemed to be unaware of your presence.
"A satanic priest. Because there wasn't anything more cliche," you whispered.
Morpheus was about to take a step towards the possessed man and suffering Johanna but you grabbed his arm. He looked at you with nothing short of annoyance - you were, clearly, treading on thin ice.
"You may be an expert on pulling Houdini-worth tricks but this is my field of expertise. Like it or not, I need you to trust me with your life for the next bit," you spoke quietly. Every now and then you'd look towards the horrifying sight on the other side of the room to make sure that you still had the element of surprise.
Rummaging through the pockets of your jacket, you pulled out two containers and shoved them in Dream's chest. With vivid unsureness, he took them from you. "Holy water and blessed salt," you explained. "Throw it at him or around him. It won't kill the demon but will surely weaken it. I'll do the talking."
Having said those words, Morpheus left your side to march towards the possessed priest. You took in a deep, slow breath to try and calm yourself. As an apprentice, you knew that the day of your trial was coming sooner or later but you never thought that the life of someone you cared about would be part of it. A grim duty fell on you - there was no one else who could help Johanna before she dies from the ritual she was currently undergoing. Whatever happens now, was to forever remain your sole responsibility.
Johanna had made you practise the exorcism prayer so many times you learned it barely a few weeks into your apprenticeship. It was just a strange skill at the time but now, when her life and well-being were in your hands only, it was akin to a superpower. Having taken in another deep breath, you began reciting the formula as fast as you could while maintaining the necessary clarity of speech.
The demon was no longer oblivious to your pesky presence but Morpheus did an excellent job at keeping it distracted enough to not go after you or poor Johanna. Considering how much of the blessed salt and holy water actually ended up on the possessed man, Dream had an exceptional aim. A blood-chilling scream resounded once more but this time it didn't belong to Johanna: it was the demon, crying out at the pain of being torn out of a corporeal form. His agony could partially be accredited to the sole fact that he was going to be banished to Hell, a place even demons feared and disliked.
Once the demon was exiled from this realm, Johanna's body hit the concrete floor of the basement with a muffled thud. Then, a groan left her mouth and you sighed in relief. Even if her bones were shattered, she was alive. Wasting no time, you run towards her to help her get up.
Straining to stand up, Johanna groaned out: "Well, that was really fucking fast."
"Yeah, I had my Eminem phase in middle school," you answered dismissively as you put her arm around your neck for better support.
"What took you so long?"
"I didn't actually think you were in trouble, Johanna. He brought me here because he wants something from you." Only when you motioned your head towards the black-haired man did she notice him. She let out an irritated sigh but it was quiet enough that only you heard it.
After a few limping steps, Johanna was well enough to walk on her own or at least she claimed so. She crossed her arms on her chest as she approached Morpheus, whose expression remained ever so unreadable. Apparently, an exorcism wasn't enough to elicit emotion from him. Johanna gave you a meaningful stare and you knew it was time for you to go and irritate the crows outside with your unwelcome presence.
Long minutes went by when you were staring at the sea and cliffs in the distance, listening to the shrieking and cawing of the black birds over your head. What was taking them so long? Among the noise, you heard someone's footsteps behind you: it was Morpheus but curiously, he came alone.
"Where's Johanna?" you asked.
"There were affairs she needed to see through before leaving," he answered while approaching you. Barely a meter or two away from you, he just stopped. Morpheus simply stood there, the sea breeze tugging at his dishevelled hair. He stared at you with flustering intensity as if he was trying to look through you and inspect the particles of your very soul.
After a while, his silent gawking became so uncomfortable you couldn't ignore it any longer. "Okay, what is it?"
"You are an absolutely aggravating creature," Morpheus stated while still looking at you with that stern, cold stare. His voice was so low, slightly raspy, that you felt it down to the marrow of your bones. "But I can not bring myself to hate you."
A playful smile crept unto your face. Maybe the raven guy wasn't the killjoy he introduced himself as. "Funnily enough, I was about to say the same thing. This whole 'woe me' brooding thing you have going on is infuriating. But it's also giving me very un-churchy thoughts."
Suddenly, something about his expression changed: a glint of mischief glistened in his blue eyes and one corner of his mouth pulled up ever so slightly. "Would you like to hear mine?"
You were about to answer him something equally suggestive when Johanna made her presence known: "Get a fucking room you two!"
