𝐀𝐍: A massive thank you to @wordycerty for reading this for me and reassuring me about this. This is the longest fic I have written. Also thank you to @playmetheclassics for reading over a bit of this as well. Appreciate you guys ❤
Tumblr media
“Mr. Kwon is ready to see you now.” You get up from your seat, stretching a little before following the little woman named Helen in front of you. She leads you down a massive hallway full of sports memorabilia, making small conversation along the way. This isn’t your first time here; the enormous stadium was built five years ago with enough money to feed the homeless for ten years. Sometimes you are here to watch a football game, but you are mostly here on business.
You are a journalist working for the country's most prominent television broadcasting company at the top of your field. You’ve met many celebrities in your area, some of whom you have become close to. Unfortunately, you have also met some not-so-nice ones, but fortunately, in your line of work, you don’t have to deal with them unless they come to you via their company. You love your job, and today you will interview the hot shot athlete from The Tigers, Kwon Soonyoung, known nationwide as Hoshi.
“He is finishing up a photo shoot, so he will be all yours soon,” Helen announces, opening a wide door. “You can just sit in here until he comes.” ‘I thought you said he was ready to see me,’ you think to yourself, annoyed that you have to wait longer. It’s not like you have anything else to do, but you value being professional and, most importantly, not wasting your time. She leads you to the main room where the photoshoot is happening, with Hoshi standing in front of the photographer.
If you didn’t have quick reflexes, you would’ve run into Helen, knocking her on her face. He poses for the camera, wearing a gray crop top sweater, showing his firm abs. His black basketball shorts fit his hips perfectly, and the tiny veins on his lower stomach lead you to thoughts you shouldn’t be thinking of. This is your first time seeing him this close in person, and he is every bit as hot as everyone says he is. You thank Helen as you set your things on a glass table, carefully taking out your recorder and setting your questions aside for when he is finished. “Alright, buddy. We are done,” the photographer announces, shutting off his camera. “Finally, I’m ready to get some grub,” Hoshi exclaims loudly, rubbing his stomach. You make eye contact, with Hoshi winking at you and returning it with small heads up. You are used to guys, and sometimes women hitting on you. He will have to do better than that. “Hi there,” you rise out of your seat. “I’m—” “I know who you are,” his tone is smooth like silk. “You’re the pretty lady who gets to talk sports with us.” You shake hands, reaching for your chair before Hoshi unexpectedly grabs you. His hands are soft, and his nails are clipped and clean, the results of a very good manicurist. “Sorry darling, but I’m hungry,” he explains. “I ordered some lunch for us in the conference room. I hope that's okay.” You blink, slowly removing your hand and clearing your throat. You aren’t opposed to eating a little early, and it is not like you haven’t worked and eaten at the same time before. “Sure,” you nod. “I could use a bite, anyway.” You gather your things, and he leads you across the hall, a room set up with sandwiches from a popular local deli. The food there is your favorite, and your stomach rumbles as soon as you sit down. “Well, this is quite the setup,” you observe, pulling out your tape recorder. “I hope I am making a good first impression,” he winks at you. “Maybe you are,” you flirt back. You cross your legs, your skirt rising slightly, showing off your smooth legs. Hoshi’s checking you out, and you smirk, used to the attention that you get when interviewing athletes. You know you are gorgeous, your best feature being your warm eyes. You use that to your advantage, making people feel comfortable as they tell you about themselves. You finish setting up and take a small sandwich, biting into it and feeling instant gratification. Next, Hoshi pulls a chair in front of you with his own food, taking a bite of a pickle. “You look content,” he remarks playfully. “I didn’t realize how hungry I was until I saw the food,” you confess. Your face heats up, and you regain composure, wiping your mouth with a napkin before turning on your recorder. You can feel his eyes on you, your skin tingles, and you feel warm, like you are basking in the sun. Hoshi is not the first person you have interviewed you found attractive, but you always make it a point to be professional at all times. It gets messy in the world of sports journalism, and after seeing what your peers have gone through, you want no parts of it. No matter how cute he is. “So,” you clear your throat. “We are here at the championship game finally. How do you feel?” “I’m pumped,” Hoshi perks up. “This has been a long time coming.” “I watched your game, where you ran the game-winning touchdown. What was going through your mind when the clock hit zero and you were at the goalpost?” He slouches back in his seat, his hand laid over his right leg. “I thought, ‘it’s about damn time,’” he remarks. “I want to lead the team to victory once more.” You see the passion behind those brown eyes, and you feel his conviction in his voice. You have seen him play before, and you can feel he is one of the best wide receivers in the nation. The way he eyes the field and manages to outmaneuver the cornerbacks, you deduce that he is an intelligent player. “I know everyone asks similar questions, so I want to ask you something different.” You pause to take a sip of water. “What inspires you to get out there on the field?” He doesn’t respond right away. Instead, he shifts in his seat, a falter of sadness reflected on his face. It catches you a bit off guard, not expecting to see this side of him so early. “My dad,” he says. “My dad died before I was drafted, and I want to do this for him.” You offer a small, kind smile, feeling his pain from your own experience. You lost your dad in a car accident the day you were hired by the company. He was your only parent growing up and your biggest supporter. That was a few years ago, and that pain feels fresh every day. “We can take a break, if you want,” you offer, turning off the tape recorder. “I know how it feels to lose a dad, and I understand if you need a moment.” Your eyes meet each other, understanding the shared feeling of losing a parent said without words. He shakes his head, takes a sip of water, and sits up straighter in his seat. “Nah, it’s okay,” his voice is gruff. “This isn't really the time for the feels right now.” You nod, turning back on the recorder and returning to your questions.
“What is the first thing you will do when you win the championship?” “Ask you out on a date.” You snort, not expecting that to be his answer. But you have to give it to this guy; he is bold. “I’m serious,” he asserts. “When we win, I will find you on that field and ask you out on that date.” “You’re awfully forward,” you muse. “You barely know me.” “You’re right,” Hoshi responds. “I hardly know you. But I like what I see. I know what you do, and you do it well. You’ve been on my radar for a while now.” You nod slowly, mulling over his words. Then, you ask him more questions about his family life and sports records when Helen comes in, telling him it's time to go into the locker room. You check your timer, noting that you had been talking to him for forty minutes and time flew by fast. “I appreciate your candor, Hoshi,” you say, gathering your things. “Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to talk with me.” “Of course,” Hoshi declares. “Don’t forget, I am going to ask you out on that date in a couple of weeks.” You shake your head, not bothering to hide the grin on your face. “Okay,” you chuckle. “We’ll see.”
Tumblr media
You stare at your computer screen, tapping your pen nervously as you read every comment on your article about Hoshi. Most of them are positive, a tremendous relief to you because you worked on it to help your readers see another of him. Of course, there were a few troll comments here and there, but you never let those get to you. Some people just want to be seen, and you’d like to think you have tough skin. You have to, in this industry anyway.
It’s been a week in a half since you saw Hoshi; the interaction is still fresh on your mind, leaving an everlasting impression on you. As everyone says, he is charming and witty, but seeing it firsthand hits differently. In addition, he has a southern charm that makes you smile, reminding you of your upbringing in the South. You shouldn’t think about him this much; you barely know the guy. ‘Get it together,’ you are lost in your thoughts. ‘Just because you haven’t had sex in a while doesn’t mean you should bounce on the first person giving you attention.’
“Great job on the article.” You yelp in surprise, not noticing that your boss Gail Kim is beside you. “You scared me,” you titter, clutching your chest. “But thank you.” “So,” Gail pulls up a seat next to you. “Danielle will not be able to interview the winning football team this Sunday. She has covid.” “Oh, my god. Is she okay?” You pause before realizing that was a stupid question. “Wait, of course, she’s not. What the hell is wrong with me? How is she feeling?” “She’s… okay, I guess,” she mutters. “But you know the quarantine period is five days, which overlaps into the game.”
There is a slight pause, then it dawns on you. “Am I going to be interviewing the team?” “Yes,” Gail reveals. “I need you to step in her place.” Interviewing at any big event is the highlight of anyone’s career, let alone the championship. You’ve been on the red carpet at the Oscars, the Grammys, and any other prestigious event, but this has been your dream. One more thing to knock off your bucket list. “Yeah, I can do it,” you say eagerly. “Great. I knew I could count on you.” Gail gets up from her seat. “Get your questions ready, and I want them in my inbox by 5 pm tomorrow.” “Yes, ma'am,” you joke, playfully giving a salute. You look at the time, noticing it is after five and time for you to go. You shut down your computer and lamp, gathering your purse before almost bumping into a man holding a bouquet of flowers. “Hi, I think this is for you,” he says, handing the flowers. “Thank you?” your voice trails off as he walks away. Your fingers trail over your favorite flowers, the prettiest roses and Shasta daisies you have ever seen. They smell fresh, as if they were picked from a garden, wrapped nice and tight in pink foil paper. You are aware of your coworkers staring at your gift and your good friend Gina marveling at the flowers.
“Is it Valentine's day already?” she quips. “Who’s the lucky person?”
“I don’t know,” you smell the flowers. “I should thank them, though.”
A small white card is snugged in the middle of the bouquet, and you pull it out, reading what’s displayed in beautiful penmanship. Just a little idea of what our date is going to be like. -H “Wait, who’s H?” Gina questions. “That’s not who I think it is—” “Shh,” you cut off. “Walk with me.” You both beeline it to the elevators, feeling relieved when you step in and no one joins you. Your heart is beating out of your chest, your adrenaline pumping like you are keeping a horrible secret. “So, listen,” you begin. “You know how I had that interview with Hoshi?” Gina nods, pressing the parking level button. “I remember.” “Well, he was flirting with me heavily and then basically promised to ask me out on a date at the game.” Gina’s eyes widen, and you try to surprise your grin, failing miserably as you press your lips together. “So, are you gonna go out with him?” “I-I don’t know,” you stammer. “He’s direct, and he’s cute… but I am so into work right now. I finally got where I dreamed of being, and I don't want anyone thinking it's because I got with some hot football player.” “Oh please. Fuck these people!” Gina exclaims. “You got here because of your merit and hard work. Plus, it's been a while, and you need to get laid, my friend.”
The elevator doors open at the worse time, with two men on the other side with curious eyes. You excuse yourself quietly, speed walking to your car to hide from further embarrassment. “Jesus, Gina,” you mouth. “I’m sorry,” she whispers loudly. “How the hell was I supposed to know there were people at the other end?!” You shake your head, turning your keys into your car. You know she meant well, and you aren’t really mad at her. Just embarrassed that two random men know about your sex life or lack thereof.
“So, are you gonna call him?” Gina probes. “Are you gonna thank him for the flowers?”
“Mm, I should,” you mutter. “Let me get on that.” Gina nods, and you say your goodbyes, getting in your car and driving out of the parking center. Then, you send a voice message to your contact at the Tigers organization, asking for his number to “verify something” you wrote in your article. His number is in your inbox a few minutes later, ready to be called. Deep down, you are starting to feel giddy, like a young girl with a school crush on a popular boy. It’s not the first time you’ve received flowers from anyone, especially shown who’s shown interest in you. But something about him is bold and different… maybe you’ve watched too many clips of this man. “Hey siri, call xxx-xxx-xxxx.” The phone rings twice before he picks up. “Hi there, beautiful,” his voice comes through smooth as silk. “Hi,” you click your tongue. “So uh, I got your flowers. How did you know what to get?” “It’s just like I told you; I’ve had my eye on you for a while, and I pay attention.” “Uh huh,” you hum. “Well, I want to thank you for them. They are very nice.” “Anytime, gorgeous,” he replies. “I gotta go, game stuff. But I’ll see you on Sunday?” “Yeah, you will.” You end the call as you pull up to your condo. You aren’t willing to break your rules yet, and you see nothing wrong with getting to know him. It can’t hurt to go on one date with him, right?
Tumblr media
“There are two minutes and forty-eight seconds left in the fourth quarter, with the Tigers trailing behind by five points. The coach has called for a timeout.”
You nod at your cameraman, Jeff, pinning your mic together on your shirt before grabbing your mic and leaving the press box. The short walk to the field is buzzing with personnel and other reporters fixing up their hair or going over last-minute questions before the celebration begins. You bite your lip, the outcome of the game leaving a fit of nervous bubbles in your stomach as you watch the field. You want the Tigers to win, not just because Hoshi is the team's star wide receiver, though that is a plus. You and Hoshi have been texting since he sent flowers to your job, mainly flirting and getting to know him through his funny innuendos. So far, you’ve learned he is a mama’s boy, has a big heart, and loves tigers. You can tell he is a good person and cares about the people around him. It’s not like you daydream or wish for the impossible, but you hope he asks you on that date tonight. “Seventeen seconds left on the clock, Choi throws a fifty-yard pass to Hoshi… MY GOD! HOSHI CATCHES THE BALL AND MAKES THE TOUCHDOWN! TIGERS HAVE WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!”
The crowd erupts in thunderous applause, confetti falling from the stadium's roof, and fans from all over jumping and shrieking with joy. Hoshi is raised in celebration, holding the football in his hand, screaming victory with tears in his eyes. The other reporters rush out to interview the teams, but you know better, not wanting to get mixed in with the crowd of personnel, family, and friends on the field. You wait until the coaches have shaken hands and the crowd disperses a bit before walking onto the field. The stage is already set up, with the organization's commissioner standing on the podium, trophy in hand. Making your way to the stage, you review your questions in your head one last time before the team arrives. “We will be ready in thirty seconds,” the cameraman tells you. You nod, turning around and bumping squarely into someone’s chest, your face red with embarrassment. “I’m sorry, I’m such a clutz—” “It’s okay, darlin’,” that familiar buttery voice responds. “You look really pretty.”
Hoshi is gazing at you, his short blonde hair messy from his helmet, his good looks more evident than before. You can’t help beam at him; unbeknownst to you, you are falling for his charm. “Thank you,” you grinned, moving in front of him. Your body slightly rubs against his, the tension small but noticeable enough to set your insides on fire. This is a bad time to be horny, and Hoshi doesn’t make things any better. “So that date—” The theme song comes on, cutting him off, and you move in front of the camera. You introduce Commissioner Han to the crowd, listening to talk about the game and listing off the players' achievements. “And this year’s MVP goes to… Hoshi!” The cheers shake the podium, Hoshi moves up to the front to accept the MVP trophy. You two make eye content, a wide smile spread on his face. You stand next to him, mic in hand, watching the wave of emotions seen on his face. “What is going through your mind right now?” He doesn’t answer immediately, his eyes filled with tears as he breaks down and sobs. He didn’t have to answer the question for you to understand how he felt. This is supposed to be the happiest moment of his life, but the one person who wanted to see him succeed the most isn’t there. You know that feeling all too well. “Dad,” he catches his breath. “I hope you are proud of me. I did it.” Everything felt like it was happening in slow motion; his teammates hugged him, giving him words of encouragement that lifted his spirits. It brought you back to when you found out your dad died right after you were hired for this dream job. He always rooted for you and was your best friend, your only family. Losing him was a cross you never thought you would have to bear, and if you are being honest with yourself, it's something you can never get over. The mood makes you sentimental, and a single tear falls down your cheek. Not wanting to be noticed, you wipe it away quickly. You wait for him to regain his composure before he finishes the interview, the atmosphere full of love and admiration for Hoshi. You couldn’t have been more proud. “Any last words?”
There is another pause, a twinkle in his eye. “Yes. Will you go on that date with me?” You cock your eyebrow, trying to surprise your smirk. His teammates scream in loud cheer, the crowd telling you to say yes. You admit you were caught off guard, the date not even on your mind after seeing him cry. But Hoshi got you good, and you can’t say you aren’t impressed. You nod, not bothering to hide your smile anymore. “Yes, I’ll go on that date with you.”
Tumblr media
The next few weeks were hectic, the championship high still going strong in the city. You were assigned other projects, and Hoshi was busy celebrating his win with his team. His “proposal” of a date on national tv put you more in the public eye, with people all over wanting to know about your relationship. Your boss loved it, asking you every other day about him and mentioning the buzz the department was getting. Gina was specifically entertained, teasing you every chance she got. “So, where’s your star player?” Gina taunts you, sitting on your desk.
“I… don’t know,” your voice trails off, turning around to face her. “Why, what's up?” “Mmmm, do you think he has a single teammate looking for a good time?” “Jesus, Gina,” you snort. “How am I supposed to know? I haven’t even gone on a date with the man yet.” “Speaking of that, when is that happening?” Gina probes. “I mean, it's been a few weeks since he’s asked.” “Your guess is as good as mine,” you muse. “We’ve been talking a lot, so maybe he has something planned.” Gina returns to her desk, and you finish working on your projects. It’s been a welcoming distraction from being anxious about your date whenever that happens. It’s not like you and Hoshi haven’t talked since then. You talk every day, either via text or video chatting. He greets you good morning and makes an effort to make sure he is the last person you say good night to. You have a lot in common in your shared interests in travel and childhood stories about your dads. Talking with him is comfortable; his positive energy is a small light in your hectic life that you greatly appreciate.
He gets more handsome every time you see him, and you finally see what everyone is raving about. He’s a small-town boy with a big heart, always talking about how much he loves his mom and how much he provides for her. It made you wish you had a family like that, someone you could rave about and show a lot of love to. It also doesn’t help that he’s a looker; your favorite part of him is his dimples. The way they randomly appear when he’s talking always sends you into a tailspin, but you’d never tell him that, of course. A few hours pass, and you check the time, realizing it is time to go. You finished most of your research and decided to do the rest at home, wanting to be in the rush hour traffic. You have a three-day weekend, and you plan to enjoy yourself by all means. You sit up to gather your things, feeling your phone buzz in your pocket. Pulling it out, you see Hoshi calling you, your heart skipping a few beats. “Hi,” you answer quickly. “Hey, beautiful. Are you done for the day?” “I might be,” you toy with the string on your purse. “Why, what's up?”
“Okay, I’m coming right up!” “What—” He hung up before you could fully react, butterflies quickly filling your stomach. You check yourself on your camera, doing a once-over just before the elevator opens. He strides in, wearing a black bomber jacket, fitted jeans, sneakers, and a white shirt with a single gold chain. He is holding the prettiest bundles of white roses, presenting them to you as you walk toward him. “H-Hi there,” you stutter. “I wasn’t expecting you here.” “I know, I know,” Hoshi responds, pulling you into a hug. “We never planned that date, and I figured why not now? So I worked it out with your boss and freed your schedule up for me.” “Oh, did you now?” You turn around and look towards Gail’s office, who is standing at the door, a smirk on her face.
“Well, are you ready?”
You beam at him, pushing the strap of your purse over your shoulder. The butterflies are still there, and your heart is beating a million thumps per second, but at this moment, you are ecstatic. “Yeah,” you nod. “I’m ready.” He suddenly picks you up, carrying you out of the office while your coworkers cheer you on. Feeling incredibly shy, you hide in his jacket until you reach the elevators. Once you’re in and you hear the doors close, you peak and look at him, meeting his dark brown eyes. “You are something else,” you giggle. “Do you plan on carrying me all the way to the car?” “I didn’t plan to,” he confirms. “But now I will.” You roar with laughter as the elevator stops, Hoshi keeping his promise and carrying you to his black Jeep. You hold on to him tightly, admitting to yourself that you don’t want to let go. He senses your earnestness, opening the door while holding onto you with one arm. His strength turns you on, your mind wondering if he would use that same strength in the bedroom. You know he has a nice body, and you’ve imagined him being on top of you with your legs open, pounding you until you came over and over. It’s gotten you through some nights you felt needy, your trusty dildo doing the trick until you can have the real thing. “Do you like steak?” You blurt out as he sits in the car.
“Yeah, why?” “I make a mean steak and potatoes, and if you don’t mind swinging by the market, I can cook for you,” you offer. Hoshi shuts your door and goes to the driver’s seat, turning on his engine. “Making me dinner already?” He playfully rubs his stomach. “I might just have to marry you, woman.”
Tumblr media
The crackling sound of oil and the smell of steak fill up your condo quickly. Two wine glasses on the counter, filled halfway with red cabernet, one of them stained with your lipstick. You made due on your promise, making steak and mashing up your potatoes to serve with your meal. Your grilled asparagus was already finished, set to the side to cool off. Hoshi watches you with curiosity, and you don’t mind it, as you pride yourself on being a good cook. Since your dad passed, you haven’t offered to cook for anyone, and you feel a bit rusty, second-guessing yourself on a simple recipe. “Are you okay?” Hoshi chuckles. “Your hands are shaking.”
“Uh, yeah,” you fib, grabbing the salt. “It’s just been a while since I’ve cooked for anyone.”
You add your milk and butter to the potatoes, mixing them with garlic, salt, and pepper until they are fluffy to your liking. You feel Hoshi move around you, turning over your steaks in your pan. Every time he gets close to you, you tense up, your inner goddess begging you to give in. It doesn’t help that he is so stinking cute with a nice body. You are in deep trouble. “I’m not a good cook. Terrible actually,” he says. “But I know how to make a steak.”
“Oh, what would I do without you?” You tease. “Well, let’s hope we never find out.”
The steaks are finished several minutes later, and you make the plates, sitting them at the table while he waits. You hold your breath while you watch him take his first bite, sitting on pins and needles as you hope he likes it.
“Damn, woman,” he swallows. “You know how to throw down.”
Feeling proud, you dig into your own food, discussing your day and upcoming projects. Then, he talks about an upcoming family trip to the mountains, where he owns a huge cabin. You think about the time your dad took you to one for Christmas, waking up to snow falling from the sky and holiday music playing throughout the place. It was one of the happiest moments of your life, and you would give anything to relive that again.
“Hey, are you okay?” Hoshi asks, breaking you out of your thoughts.
“Oh yeah,” you get up quickly with your empty plate. “I’m fine. I am just gonna get some more wine.”
You wash your plate at the sink, taking a moment to get together before running right into Hoshi, getting barbecue sauce on his shirt.
“Oh my god,” you gasp. “I am so sorry. Let me clean that for you.”
Before he could protest, you already have a detergent stain remover in your hands, scrubbing the sauce off vigorously. Yet, you can still see the stain there, and in the spur of the moment, you do the unthinkable.
“Take your shirt off.”
“What?” Hoshi says nervously, playfully clutching his shirt.
“Come on,” you chuckle. “I am going to throw it in the washer.”
“Oh, you don’t have to—”
“Yes, I do. Take off your shirt, or I will do it for you.”
He cocks an eyebrow, a devious smirk on his face, and you gulp, realizing what you got yourself into. He closes the space between you two, the tension building like a balloon ready to pop.
“So do it. Take it off.”
Your fingers flirt seductively with the hem of his shirt, pulling it off slowly. You didn’t hear the shirt fall to the floor; you were too distracted by the sexy man in front of you. He licks his lips, and you bite yours, allowing his arms to wrap around your waist. Your face is inches away from his, your insides clawing at you, begging you to take him.
“You're dangerous,” you murmur. “Am I?”
“Yeah. I like it, though.”
He leans in and kisses you; it feels magnificent like fireworks lit up in the sky. Your heart is pounding, and your breathing is heavy as you drink him in, walking backward towards your bedroom. Both your clothes come off in a blur, your naked bodies pressed against each other, engulfed in a flame of passion and sensuality that had been brimming for so long. “You’re so pretty, baby,” he whispers as his lips trail down your neck. Your skin tingles as if you are finally being awakened by his touch, your hands clinging to his hair as he reaches your breasts. His tongue swirls seductively around your hardened mounds, his warm hands cupping your ass and giving it a nice squeeze. Your center is dripping for him as if he read your mind, his fingers slowly trickling to your tight hole. “Already wet for me, baby?” He teases, his thumb rubbing your clit softly. “Y-yes,” you murmur, jolts of electricity spreading between your legs. He licks each nipple, sucking on them until they are nice and ripe, then makes his way down between your legs. Finally, he stands up, his hand pumping his cock as he licks his lips in fascination at your pretty pussy. You knew he had a nice body since you saw a peak at the photo shoot, but seeing him naked, sexy, and rock hard because of you sends you into an internal spiral. “I gotta taste you.”
He licks his lips again, getting on his knees and pulling you closer to him. Then, without any warning, his tongue attacks your nectar, slurping happily as your body radiates from pleasure.  Your hand clutches onto your breast, pinching yourself as he dives into your sweet heat, ravishing you like a starved man. Your legs tremble as he slips his delicate fingers inside you, instantly making you crave his cock. “Hoshi, please,” you moan softly, lifting your head up, so you watch him. “Make me cum.”
Without delay, he laps his tongue against your clit, your moans turning into screams, and then whimpers as his fingers pump into you faster. He growls as he dives further into your cunt, the pressure building deep inside you as you feel it coming. He goes deeper into your dripping sex, his tongue flattening your clit, sending you over the edge as you finally cum in his mouth. Your hands grip his hair tightly as you ride his face, screaming beautiful profanities as your body goes through this incredible high. Finally, his fingers slip out of you slowly, and you take his hand, sucking your juices off each of his fingers. “F-fuck,” you breathe heavily. “I don’t think I’ve ever come like that.”
“Well, look forward to more of those, sweetheart,” he murmurs, standing up.
His hand is pumping his cock vigorously, beads of precum dripping out of him and making your lips water. Instinctively, you kneel in front of him, taking his cock and sucking on his head. His legs shudder, and he lets out a low howl, an evil grin on your face as he does not know what he’s gotten into. You love sucking dick when it’s the right person.
“It’s your turn to be taken care of, baby.”
You shove his thick cock into your mouth, sucking him gleefully and savoring his taste. You wrap your fingers around his base, giving it a tight squeeze before running down his shaft, your slobbering mouth sucking his balls, your tongue swirling around in a way that makes him shift his stance. You return to his length, letting him hit the back of your throat as he fucks your face roughly. Tears roll down your face at his roughness, but you don’t mind it; your clit throbs at the thought of this soon filling your tight cunt.
He cocks his head back, clearly enjoying the divine feeling of your warm mouth. His hand has a tight grip on your hair, his strokes slowly before pulling himself out of your mouth, pulling you up to your feet, and kissing you deeply. He lays you back on the bed, marveling over your naked body before climbing over you, parting your legs with his knee. You hold your breath, watching him slowly sink into you, filling you up until you take him whole. “Are you okay?”
Hoshi kisses you as he strokes you slowly, allowing you to adjust to his size. The moans between you two are synced together, his hips bucking as his thrusts are faster and deeper. The hard-smacking noise of bodies colliding together echoed in your bedroom. He grunts with each thrust, his hands grabbing your throat and, with your nod of approval, giving it a slight squeeze.
“Fuck,” you mew, biting your lip. “Just like that, please.”
You are soaked for him, the squishiness of your tight core heard with each pound into you. The tighter he squeezed, the more aroused you became, your walls clenching around him. It had been a while since you had good dick, and this was very much worth the wait. He suddenly releases his hand from your throat, pulling you into sloppy kiss, deep pants against your skin as he fucks you senselessly.
“I’m so close,” he putters, looking into your eyes.
You were about to reach your peak, the coil threatening to snap below as he lifted your legs over his shoulder. Your hand finds your clit, rubbing it hard until you scream his name, your orgasm crashing down on you like an avalanche. Hoshi looks amazed, watching your legs shake because of him, his release soon after on your stomach. Your heart is beating fast, barely catching your breath as you collapse on the bed, eyes wide at the ceiling.
“You are sensational,” he whispers, leaving sweet kisses on your face.
You can’t help but giggle, wrapping your arms around him and snuggling with him tightly. You had every intention of getting up to shower and clean up the mess you made from cooking, but instead, you fell into a deep sleep in his arms. You don’t feel him get up or hear him go into your bathroom, take his shower, and then clean you delicately. You are sound asleep as he cleans up your kitchen and makes sure your cats are fed. But you do feel him get back into the bed with you, and kiss you on your forehead.
“Hey,” you mumble.
“I was just straightening up the mess we made. Go back to sleep, love.”
You did exactly that, falling into a deep sleep and waking up at sunrise, still in his arms. You ended up spending your three-day weekend with him, staying in and ordering take-out, watching movies, having meaningful talks about each other’s lives, and fucking each other whenever you wanted. You had each other wrapped in each other’s fingers, a twin flame you never thought you had in this world. You looked into his eyes and felt something, a hope of what your lives could be together if you let him in.
“You aren’t going to ghost me, are you?” The weekend is over, and you are at the door, kissing Hoshi goodbye. “Not if you come over with snacks, Hoshi,” you joke, playfully pushing him out the door. “I think we are past nicknames now,” he leaves you with one last kiss. “Call me Soonyoung.” (bonus chapter)

I finished over 100 visual novels, here’s a long post with some recommendations
Last month I hit 100 Finished VN’s over on the VNDB and I thought I’d shoot out some recommendations while the Steam Summer Sale is going on (even though some of these aren’t going to be on Steam)
Tumblr media
I already have finished up some stragglers and caught some shorter titles so it’s up to 104 Finished, but all the better. I have been reading some VN’s since 2015, but it really became a hobby and a genre I was invested in during Covid lockdown in 2020. I had trouble getting into some of the popular titles, but a couple of games that were lesser known at that time really blew me away that year and I started digging more into the medium. I still have a lot to try out and other classics I’m still interested in trying, but here’s a top 10 I’m confident in recommending to most people, at least the kinda people that would follow this blog. A few of these recommendations are actually multi-part series, but hopefully accessible all around.
Tumblr media
Planetarian ($10 on Steam and Switch, ~$5 on sale)
This is a very late entry onto this list but I think it’s an easy recommendation. This is a very short 2-4 hour visual novel that got a well received 2 hour movie adaptation in 2016, but it was strong enough that even while knowing the plot everything still hit hard. It is a story set 30 years after an apocalyptic event destroys most of the world, as a human junk-trader comes across a planetarium with a somehow-still-functional robot named Hoshino still performing her daily duties after 30 years without customers or coworkers. It can come across as a bit saccharine, but it is a quick, well made, and effective tearjerker.
Tumblr media
Narcissu 1st & 2nd (Free on Steam)
Narcissu’s first two parts are pretty compelling stories to do with suicidal ideation within the scope of the terminally ill. Which is to say they’re also real tear jerkers, and pretty open about some harsh self-reflective emotions. They both have stellar endings, and can be quite immersive despite the very limited artwork (if the screencap looks weird, the game’s art exists within a narrow strip on the screen, with a sentence or two reading out the story underneath it). Maybe the least accessible on this list, but a $0 price tag makes it easier in some sense to get into.
Tumblr media
Umineko no Naku Koro ni / When The Seagulls Cry (~$50 on Steam, $30 on sale)
Umineko you’ve probably already heard of, and here’s me recommending it. Umineko comes in two parts, on Steam referred to as the Questions Arc and the Answers Arc. Despite the split, the overall story follows the events of a certain day on Rokkenjima Island in 1986 as a family meets to discuss their inheritance and their family’s mysteries. Unbeknownst to them they are soon haunted, over and over again, by the revenant of the Golden Witch said to live in the woods of their family’s island.
I’m in the minority of preferring the Questions Arc, where well written and deeply human characters find themselves in deeply inhumane and nonsensical scenarios. The Answers Arc back seats some of that to start delving into an esoteric explosion of clues and backstories, and was still very entertaining even if I was more invested in the episodic stories than the overarching mystery. This may also be seen as inaccessible, $30-50 for a slightly older title and over 140 hours long on average playthroughs, but it is deeply absorbing.
Tumblr media
Witch on the Holy Night a.k.a. Mahoyo ($40 on PS4 and Switch)
Mahoyo is me and Nasu’s marriage counselor, it really made me see the good in him. It follows a young witch co-habitating with her magic colleague and the puppy-like boy that unwittingly steps into their world at risk to his own life, just as unexplained apparent murders are witnessed in their town.
This could possibly be a higher level recommendation, though it was apparently intended to have sequels and you can somewhat feel that in the isolated feeling of its main conflict. Despite this, the game is definitely worth experiencing for its classy charm and extremely well made action sequences that at times make you forget you’re not watching a full anime film. It’s also a showcase of Nasu’s strengths in writing character interactions and comedy, and he finally lets Show take over and stops Telling you piles of mage society worldbuilding quite so often. It is also has some of the highest quality production value I’ve ever seen, second maybe to...
Tumblr media
Marco and the Galaxy Dragon ($20 on Steam/Switch, less than $10 on sale)
Marco and the Galaxy Dragon is an explosive opera of art, energy, color, and of course music. It follows the orphaned Marco and her dragon compatriot Arco as they hunt for treasure across the cosmos, finding their way to Earth on the hunt for Marco’s mother.
If Umineko’s 140 hours seems steep, Marco has you covered with a quick 6 hour rundown of a rebellious orphan fighting back against her space alien menace to find her own sense of place and identity in the universe, along with ALL the friends she made along the way. If Mahoyo feels like an anime film sometimes, Marco actually just has fully animated FMV cutscenes that are fun as hell and have their own unique artstyle to the VN itself. Thousands of pieces of artwork and a 52-track OST fill the game’s short runtime with no cut corners and and overflow of passion from the devs. Honestly even if you don’t want to read it go buy it, it’s cheap and they earned it.
Tumblr media
White Album 2 (You’ll have to be creative to find this one)
This is the only recommendation that’s currently only available in an adults only 18+ Rating for the English translation. That being said, it’s one of the few erotic VN’s that felt justified in its pornographic scenes. The story is split into two releases: Opening Chapter and Closing Chapter.
Opening is a short and powerfully delivered love triangle narrative following Haruki, Setsuna, and Touma as their hastily formed 3-man light music band falls into itself with feelings. It’s charming but gut wrenching and sweeps you into its drama very effectively before kicking you on your ass in the end.
Closing Chapter is a long and drawn out disassembling of their lives as they fail to heal from the wounds of the relationships seen in Opening. It, to great effect, takes the readers own experience with how fun and passionate the Opening Chapter was, and shows how trying to cling to halcyon days can make us so dispassionate about our present lives. Painful stuff! Good music, too.
Tumblr media
The Princess, The Stray Cat, and Matters of the Heart 1 & 2
a.k.a. Noratoto ($40 on Steam for both, ~$15 for both on sale)
This is a very personal recommendation, and maybe one more easy to make on this blog where many of my followers might be receptive to sincere but slapstick ecchi comedy as art. Every route is highly different however and to me, some are pretty average for galge, while others stand out as amazing. The comedy writing as well feels like it was written by someone with actual comic writing experience, and not just regurgitating the usual ecchi manga jokes.
The general premise of Noratoto is the protagonist Nora, being transformed into a cat by Patricia the princess of the Netherworld, and he must reverse this curse via a kiss before it becomes permanent. A benign fairy tale premise, but one that somehow gives way to underlying stories about existence and finding purpose in families and where that leaves those without families or with abusive or divided families (it is from the same developers as Marco and the Galaxy Dragon, and the themes of finding identity without family match up very closely). Uniquely it is a visual novel written somewhat in 3rd person, narrated by a motherly voice as if the VN was being read to you as a bedtime story.
Like I said, it is dependent on route and some come across as your usual ecchi gal-game schtick, but some stick out, and if every route was as high quality as Nobuchina’s in the 2nd game, it would probably be my favorite visual novel.
Tumblr media
The Original Ace Attorney Trilogy ($30 on most platforms, $10 on sale)
You’ve almost certainly heard of Ace Attorney already and have most likely played it. This is me telling any Ace Attorney fans reading that the original trilogy still reigns supreme (regardless of Turnabout Big Top). This is also me telling anyone who has held out on trying Ace Attorney to try it, and to start with the original trilogy.
Obviously this trilogy follows the Meme Man Himself, Phoenix Wright, as he defends the innocent and brings the guilty to justice acting as both lawyer and his own main investigator. While each case presents a unique mystery, the original trilogy has an underlying arc that reaches from beginning to end with a massive conspiracy that Phoenix has to breach to bring justice to the perpetrators and resolve the memory and regrets of his beloved mentor.
These games have some speedbumps as you may be banging your head against the wall trying to find the right evidence, but the experience that breaks through does so with gusto, succeeding on what it sets out to be: games that make you feel like you’ve brought justice to the world.
Tumblr media
Utawarerumono Trilogy ($40/60 each on Steam, trilogy bundle $62 on sale)
Utawarerumono was my first proper visual novel, and it set the standards pretty high. I’ve posted about it several times in the last few years, and it remains one of my favorites. It is a labor of love on the part of the developers (the same developers as White Album 2), who developed the latter two games over the course of several years and have made this the spearhead of their company for the time being. Which makes sense, since it is about war.
The first game follows a masked man who is given the name Hakuoro waking up in a rural village with amnesia, confused about the strange population of beast-men living there. Despite not understanding his situation, his ingenuity brings the village prosperity. When the local lords try to put the village under their thumb, Hakuoro and the villagers are able to turn the tides against them. Their village grows into a kingdom as Hakuoro seeks the mysteries of himself and the world around him.
The latter two games pick up some twenty years after the conclusion of the first, and follow a man who is given the name Haku, waking up in the woods with amnesia confused about the... you get it. He is met by Kuon, a young girl on her way traveling to the capital of their nation of Yamato. Haku graciously accepts her help getting out of the cold woods, and decides to join her to the capital. As events play out, Haku finds himself under the direct command of the nation’s leader the Mikado, and carries out missions on his behalf as the nation continues to drag itself into war and conflict and Haku also seeks the truth of his identity.
These games are expansive in scope while still putting a large focus on the day-to-day lives of its characters. Around 100 hours across all three games it is impressive how much story it manages to fit in, but the pacing does bounce around between sweeping conflict and sleepy conversations. It is also in part, a strategy RPG game with the battles in the war being controlled by the player. These are decently made, especially well in the third game, but don’t ask too much of the player and the story remains the main focus and biggest portion of the runtime.
Tumblr media
The House In Fata Morgana a.k.a. Fatamoru
($40 complete version on PS4/Switch, ~$40 main game + expansion on Steam)
I’ve gushed about this enough on this tumblr, I’ll keep it brief.
You are a formless soul who is led by the hand of a mysterious maid through the doors of a mansion on an unknown plane of existence. Through each door lies a story of the house in a different era, all following people bound together in ways that leave them cruelly and violently undone by the end of their stories. The connection between these stories, the mystery of the house and the supposed witch that resides within, and the mystery of You the wandering soul all slowly unravel in a bloody show of catharsis and soul. The game is dripping with traumatic poetic text, grating beautiful music, and all of its atmosphere geared toward being oppressive yet enticing. One of the best things I’ve read.
Honorable mentions:
Va-11 Hall-A and Endless Mondays get shout outs as some of the best Original English Language VN’s I’ve read, with cool artstyles and a mature cast they manage to be fun and relatable. Va-11 Hall-A delivers a great arc for its protagonist and Endless Mondays has great dialogue on the threat of automation of creative industries.
Grisaia Trilogy and Hatsumira are both absolutely raucous trilogies that are a lot of fun. Not wholly recommendable to all, Grisaia has some strong moments and a hilarious unique cast but is a mess overall (but we love Michiru). Hatsumira is a bit more consistent, a more stable and fantasy-oriented Grisaia.
A.I. The Somnium Files duology are detective games with highly divisive endings, but great comedy and characters that make them very easy to get through and enjoy the whole way to the end. It’s just a toss-up whether you’ll like that ending.
Sakura Wars games are finally being translated, and they are a great showing for anyone who wants to try some classic dating sim stuff but with some pizazz thrown in with the setting and mecha combat.
The Tears to Tiara duology by the same developers of Utawarerumono and White Album is also one to keep an eye out for. The first game's definitive version isn't available in English and the second game is stuck on the PS3 and no longer available digitally, but if they ever come out on Steam they are worth your time.
Nanairo Reincarnation and Kinkoi: Golden Loveriche are also two solid ecchi comedy galge. Both have surprisingly deep and genuinely heartbreaking underlying mysteries and conclusions.
I still have a lot I wanna read, Planetarian is the only Key novel I’ve read. On the docket are Labyrinth of Galleria, Little Busters, the 9 -nine- series, and Kara no Shoujo and White Album 1 releasing on Steam this year. Some classics I didn’t mention are Fate/Stay Night, Muv Luv, Steins Gate. Muv Luv I read Extra and enjoyed it, but never pulled the trigger on reading the rest, I may at some point on a whim. Steins;Gate I played through half of on PS3 and now my PS3 is in the closet, the VN is really good and has a unique atmosphere to the anime, buuuuuuut knowing the plot has made it hard to want to restart on PC or another console. Steins;Gate is good, if anyone is reading this far and hasn’t seen the anime or read the VN, do it.

Merry Lil' Batman!
Just saw it and I can say that it was a good movie. It made me happy, laugh and tear up a little. It was enjoyable and would watch again. Not much of a review just a small rant of this movie, pointing out what I liked about it.
!!SPOILERS!!
Can I just how happy I am with how Bruce is just a good dad here. Like he's overprotective of Damian sure. But when father and son are together you can tell how much Bruce loves Damian.
Tumblr media
Speaking of love as a Talia fan I'll be honest I was worried how she would be portrayed since we weren't given any hint of her in the trailer. But while we don't see her in the movie I'm just happy that they do mention her. And it is shown that Bruce does love her and she isn't the evil they have to fight (yes I worry everytime she is mentioned to appear). Here are three mentions:
Bruce's tattoo on his chest.
Tumblr media
Bruce mention of how he felt when meeting her for the first time.
Tumblr media
And the hinted she is alive but she must've given Damian to be raised by Bruce instead. Though she is a villian it doesn't seem Bruce or Damian feel resentment towards her.
Tumblr media
Anyway with that out of the way. Another like is Damian having a cat. And while it might not be our regular tuxedo cat I'm they show Damian to be an animal lover. And you guess what her name is. Wonder who she was gifted by?
Tumblr media
Now here are just some tear jerkers for me. The fact there are times that although not really stated what happened to Bruce's parents cause you know it's still a kid's movie I really like that they don't ignore it.
Tumblr media
Ah! My heart in this scene made my heart break. Damian lost of Bat-dad. Why!? Baby boy is crying....🥲
Tumblr media
If I was a little kid this would've scared me. This black and white with Damian running scared in a alleyway. Am I the only one that felt like it was a parallel to Bruce as a kid.
Tumblr media
With this one I did break. Not only for this Damian but also my mind quickly went to comic book Damian. And if you know his comic stories and the life he was dealt with. If your a Damian fan and love this boy can you imagine he was like this once to. 😭 (WFA Damian and Lil' Batman are so lucky compared to comic Damian.)
Tumblr media
Luckily Alfred was here! Another love for this movie is that not only do we feel the father and son love but you also feel it with Alfred. Our dear old butler (that I know some made fun of his design) that is much a father to Bruce and grandfather to Damian.
Tumblr media
Not much else to say. Just pointing out the things I liked about this movie. It was a fun time and hope you give it a watch. Tell me what you liked about it if you've seen it.😄😊

What I've Been Enjoying Lately - Japanese Media
This is way overdue! I've been consuming so much great media in Japanese, it's time to share the love and recommend some things for all of you lovely language learners
Tumblr media
📚 Books:
旅猫リポート - 有川浩: This is a super adorable novel about a stray cat who is taken in by a young man. Five years later, the owner is suddenly unable to take care of this cat and the two embark on a road trip across Japan to find the perfect new owner. This one is definitely a tear jerker to any animal lover and will absolutely make you want to cuddle your own fluffy friends into oblivion.
キノの旅 - 時雨沢恵一: This is a light novel series that's extremely close to my heart! The 2003 anime adaption of this series also isn't just my favorite anime, but my favorite TV show ever. Because of the relatively simple vocabulary, I often see it recommended as a first read for Japanese learners just dipping their toes into novel reading, and I find myself agreeing. This series follows a teenager named Kino who travel from country to country with a motorrad named Hermes. There's not much of a continuous plot and very few recurring characters, making it even easier to follow if something confuses you. Despite the fluffy sounding description, this series has a good amount of content warnings accompanying it and can get pretty gory at times as well.
僕らの地球の歩き方 - ソライモネ: An adorable manga series in which two men travel the world together under the agreement that, upon returning to Japan, they'll get married. I feel like if someone looked into my brain to find what I like in a series in order to create a manga series perfectly suited to my tastes, it would be 僕らの地球の歩き方. It's gay, it's adorable, it's about traveling the world, it's about loving the people around you and human culture and delicious food, I'm already crying. Definitely one of my all time favorites.
薔薇王の葬列 - 菅野文: I went back and forth about putting this on my list, but it's not titled "What I've Been Enjoying Lately" for nothing and boy oh boy have I been enjoying this lately. Perhaps I've been enjoying it a bit too much. A while back, I actually banned myself from reading this series because I didn't have the full set and would instantly be put in an awful mood if I caught up with the volumes I had. This manga series follows Richard Plantagenet III, yes, that one, and his ascendance to the British throne. This series is chock full of treachery, murder, violence, and everything else nice. Due to the... everything about this series.... there's a lot of unusual vocabulary, but it has furigana on everything, which helps a lot for speedy look ups.
気になってる人が男じゃなかった - 新井すみこ: Bonus manga! Because this one is worth it, and also because everyone needs a little more GL on their shelves. This manga is so good that I've even been seeing people who don't speak Japanese buy this to have on their shelves. It follows a slightly awkward girl and a gyaru from her class as the two bond of their shared love of western rock music. Yeah, this is the manga that's doing a collab with Nirvana.
📺 Shows and Movies:
Old Fashion Cupcake - This is a BL office romance drama about a middle aged man and his subordinate who begin acting like teenage girls in an attempt to regain some of their youth. Through eating sweets together, taking selfies and food pictures, and talking "girls' talk," the two deepen their bond. I don't think I can say this enough, I love food romances. If their is food involved in a romance, I'm there, no need to tell me twice. This series is super sweet and a really enjoyable watch.
カルテット - Four musicians meet by chance and decide to form a quartet together. However, each one has secrets that they're hiding. Bonus points to Netflix for actually having a J-drama I like for once. This series has a warm and cozy found family vibe, while still managing to have some of the most wildest shenanigans imaginable. I also really appreciated that this series seems to take some stances that I've never seen before, especially regarding family and what you owe to your parents.
映像研には手を出すな! - This anime follows three girls and their attempts to make anime. As an anime that is about the creation of anime, it's really no surprise that the art and animation is stand out in this series. I loved the ways that we as the viewer were able to see the imaginations of the characters. I also really enjoyed the characters, and the voice acting was phenomenal as well. This show is also home to one of the best intros ever.
赤髪の白雪姫 - This fantasy anime follows the titular character Shirayuki as she escapes from her home kingdom after being chosen as a royal concubine due to her unusual red hair. On her travels, she meets a prince from a neighboring kingdom and becomes a palace herbalist. It's not often that I watch or care about straight romances in media, but this romance is so adorable, and even beyond it, I truly love all the characters and their relationships in this series. Also, I think this is the only show I've watched where I found the soundtrack to actually be distracting- and not because I didn't like it, but because it was just that good.
🎤 Music:
オーガストの風 - THE BLACKBAND
夢伝説 - Stardust Revue
lemonade - Chili Beans.
Show - Ado

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

Fem reader // Han Jisung // female Aunty Lina (Lino) // Hyuna (Hyunjin) // Suengmin

Chapter Summary: A little bit of backstory. We find out the baby's sex, and you get closer to Hyuna.
Writer's Note: I have to warn you that this is a bit of a tear-jerker. Well I was almost in tears writing this one. But there is smut at the end. I hope you like it, and I will see you at the other side.
Word Count: 3.8k (part 4) there will be more parts to come.
A few things to note before you jump in (as this might not be your cup of tea): * Hyunjin (aka Hyuna) and Lino (aka Lina) are female characters in this story (and one of them will be involved in sex). * There is cheating on partners. * There is manipulation and abuse of authority. * Female reader is an adult (in case you were worried)

-----------------------------
Lina:
When Lina married Seungmin she thought she was going to have a life filled with passion and excitement, and although Seungmin was a kind man who did all the the things that a husband “should”, she felt like his heart was never fully in it. She couldn’t really blame him though. The marriage was arranged, but somewhere inside her she harboured the hope that he might grow to love her.
She thought if she had a baby that might bring them closer together and give them a shared purpose, but she couldn’t seem to get pregnant. She felt like she failed him as a wife.
Lina had met Seungmin’s brother only a handful of times. He was friendly and kind, and went out his way to make her feel comfortable at family gatherings. Lina felt seen and important when Han was around her. She didn’t read too much into it, he was friendly to everyone. But as much as Han made other people feel comfortable and free to be themselves, Lina could tell he was lonely. She could tell that there was some self doubt in his eyes. He seemed a little sad. Maybe he felt like her? She went out of her way to be friends with him. One Lina’s favourite things to do for Han was cook for him.
The first time Han slept with her she was so shy and scared, but the way he was so hungry for her set her on fire. He wanted to look into her eyes, he wanted to make her orgasm, he wanted to give every inch of her skin attention. The things he said to her were graphic and naughty, but also tender and sweet.
Seungmin only wanted to have sex in the dark. Clinical. Get it done and out of the way. She was sure he only slept with her because that’s what married couples were supposed to do.
But with Han she had some kind of sexual awakening. She discovered things about herself, things she enjoyed, kinks even, that she would have never dreamed of with Seungmin. Over time she got brave and suggested naughty, filthy things for her and Han to try. She learned she loved to restrain Han and fuck his brains out. She loved how needy he would get when they didn’t spend enough time together. Han made her feel like a queen.
When you started working at Han’s, Lina felt a new feeling she couldn’t quite explain. She didn’t know she’d have feelings for a woman. By now Lina had developed a lot of self confidence sexually and she couldn’t help but experiment in flirting with you. She didn’t want to think of you as an experiment, but more an opportunity to explore the possibilities. Han was always talking about how he didn’t understand why we are taught that we can only love one person at at time. She had never believed him when he said this, because to Lina, she only really loved him. She cared for Seungmin, and she loved him as family, but passionate love? She’d only felt that way about Han.
Until she met you. And when she had both you and Han at the same time, well, she’d never felt more alive.
But there was still something missing from her life. She’d wanted a child so badly, and she hoped with all the sex with Han maybe she’d fall pregnant. She never did. When she found out about your pregnancy, and that you might not keep it, there was little spark of hope inside her heart. Maybe she’d have the chance to become a mother, and Seungmin a father, and she’d feel complete.
Han:
Han tried so hard to make Hyuna fall in love with him. He swore she thought he was a desperate fool. She made him so nervous. She was beautiful and so elegant that he would stumble on his words. The best he could do to share his feeling was by writing her songs and giving her flowers. She’d roll her eyes, but she’d smile. It was his favourite thing about her, the eye roll and smile.
Han was an eager and passionate man, but Hyuna didn’t seem to be as keen as him for sexual exploration, or even anything other than vanilla sex once a week. He would have been okay with that if he thought she loved him. She was fine with him watching all the porn in the world, but she wasn’t interested in watching it with him. She had sex toys, but other than using a bullet vibrator on her clit, he wasn’t allowed to use them on her. He couldn’t understand where he was going wrong? He wanted to please her, but it was like she didn’t want him to. Was there something wrong with him?
For years he felt lonely. He was at home by himself most of the time, and after some time he found himself thinking about Seungmin’s wife a lot. Lina. Han loved the way Lina would look at him. It was like he could relax and be himself. Sure he’d feel his heart rate increase and his behaviour around her would resemble a nervous, jittery fool. But that nervous inner chatter he felt when he was around Hyuna? He didn’t feel that with Lina. With her he felt pulled to her, like he was finding his way home.
Then one day when Hyuna and the children were away, Lina wanted to come over and cook a few meals for him. He remembered it clearly, like it was yesterday. She was standing in the kitchen stirring some batter for a dessert when he slipped in alongside her.
“This looks like it’ll taste delicious.” He’d said. He wasn’t referring to the mixture though. He was referring to her body. He didn’t miss Lina’s hand pause for a moment, or the way her cheeks flushed crimson red. It excited him. “Lina?” He whispered close to her ear. “Would it be okay if I stood this close to you?” He slid behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, leaning his head over shoulder. Her hand stilled. She was flustered, he could tell. He could never fluster Hyuna.
“Yes.” Her voice was barely audible.
“Can I kiss you?” He held his breath waiting, hoping she’d say yes.
She unwrapped his hands from around her waist and Han felt panic and rejection surge inside of him. But all Lina did was turn around to face him and look into his eyes expectantly.
“Yes.” She said. In that moment everything changed for them. Han was on her fast and with an urgency neither of them had experienced before. He lifted her up and carried her to the spare bedroom off the kitchen and threw her down on the bed, kissing her like he hadn’t kissed a woman in a decade. “Tell me you want this as much as I do, baby.” He gripped her hips lifting them to press against his erection. “Please let me fuck you.” He said boldly. Yes, he’d escalated things quickly with such a brazen request, but he needed Lina like his life depended on it.
Lina’s eyes widened. “Oh, Han! Yes! But…but I’m… I’m scared.” Han lifted himself up and looked her in the eyes. “Baby, please don’t be scared. I only want to make you feel good.”
“Maybe… we should turn the lights off?” She stuttered. Han was taken aback.
“O-okay. But I really would prefer to see everything. I want to memorise every inch of your body.” His hand slid up to her cheek. “If that’s alright with you.”
Lina bit her lip and nodded. “Okay.” She sounded unsure about being so exposed and vulnerable, but Han was determined to take her to the stars.
----------------------------------
It was the end of the day and you were sitting in the bath in your en-suite bathroom looking down at your growing abdomen. You rubbed your hand over the bulge on your stomach feeling the tight, smooth skin. How were you already halfway through this pregnancy? You’d just been to your twenty one week ultrasound where you were relieved to learn your baby was growing well.
“Can you tell what the sex is?” you asked the sonographer.
“Well, from what I can’t see here, it looks like you are having a little girl.”
A girl. Seeing her on the screen made everything seem so much more real. Her head, arms and legs. Hearing her heartbeat almost brought tears to your eyes.
You’d gone to the appointment with Lina. It was too risky to take Han, but Lina was able to meet you at the clinic easily enough. You could see the pure joy in her eyes when she saw the ultrasound, and you felt happy for her, but also, deep down, you were envious. You tried to push those feelings down and ignore them.
“We’re having a baby girl?” Han was beyond elated when you and Lina shared the news. He jumped up and down, spun you around, then spun Lina around. Then he sat down and cried staring at the little printout of the ultrasound. He looked up at you with tears streaming down his face. “I’m having a little girl.” It was like he couldn’t believe it. Your heart ached for him.
You poured some water over your stomach. “It’s all going to be okay little one.” You said to your bump that was poking out of the bathwater. “You’re going to be born soon and you’re going to be loved so much. You’ll grow up with a loving mother and kind father, and grow into the most incredible person.”
You had been talking to your baby a lot lately. Telling her stories about yourself, and how she was made out of a special, secret love.
“You won’t know me as your Mama, after you’re born. But I will be nearby, watching you grow. Seeing you learn to walk, hearing saying your first words.” You stroked your tummy and tears spilled from your eyes. “You won’t know your real Daddy either, but we will love you so much, little one. For now I am so happy that while your inside me, he and I get to be your parents, even if it’s just for a few more months.”
You were overcome with such a sadness that you broke down and sobbed. Loud, uncontrollable sobs. You wanted to hold onto this pregnancy for as long as possible. You wanted time to slow down. You wanted to keep your baby. That’s what you wanted if you were really honest with yourself.
Your sobs grew louder and you didn’t notice someone enter your bathroom. “Sweetheart?” she sounded shocked.
Your eyes shot up to where Hyuna stood. Her eyes fixed on your stomach. You quickly pulled your knees up to hide your bump but it was too late.
Hyuna met your eyes and her face softened when she saw how distressed you were.
“Oh petal.” She said softly and came to kneel at the side of the bath. She wrapped her arms around you and held you close as you continued to sob loudly.
“I’m so sorry.” You cried over and over again.
“Shh. It’s okay, little flower.” She stroked your hair. “It’s going to be okay.”
You pulled away and looked at her. “I know I should have told you sooner.” You stuttered through sobs.
“I knew you’d tell me in your own time. But I couldn’t not come in when I heard you crying like this.” She soothed.
You were taken by surprise. “You already knew?”
Hyuna nodded. “I know a pregnant woman when I see one.”
“How long have you known?”
Hyuna chuckled. “I suspected when you were getting nausea. Then the boobs. Then your choice of clothing changed.” She said like it was the simplest of observations. If she knew that what else did she know?
“Here, let me help wash you.” She grabbed the washcloth and soap and started to gently soap up your arms.
You tried to read her expression. Even in a moment like this she still seemed so calm. You sat in silence, thinking about what you should say. “It’s a girl.” You whispered eventually.
“Ah, a little princess.” Hyuna smiled. “Han would have been over the moon when you told him.”
Your eyes widened. She did know. But she didn’t seem angry. You opened your mouth but you were too scared to speak. “I’m sorry.” you choked. It was all that you could manage.
“It’s alright, petal.” She stopped washing you for a moment as if deep in thought, then gathered more soap to moved on to wash your legs.
“You’re not angry?” you asked in disbelief.
She shook her head. “No.” she said softly. She gestured to your stomach. “Can I?” You leaned back, making space for her to squeeze warm water over your bump. “I’m not angry. I’m glad Han finally has a chance to be fath-” She stopped mid sentence and looked into your eyes like she hoped you hadn’t heard her. She saw the shock on your face, and knew she’d been caught out.
“Han’s not the boys’ father?” you asked. That was absurd. Of course Han was their father.
Hyuna sighed and shook her head. “No.” She bit her lip as if trying to decide whether to elaborate. Why would Hyuna confide in you? You were having her husband’s baby. But her babies weren’t her husband’s.
There was a long silence.
“When I was young, before I married Han, there was another man. We were dating, but no one knew about it. He was my first love. He is my only love. He’s the father of Binnie and Chan.” She said solemnly.
“Then why did you marry Han if you were in love with someone else?” you were confused.
“Business. Money. Decisions outside of love. Decisions that were out of our hands.” She shrugged.
Oh. Your heart ached. “So what happened to this love?” he must have been still in the picture recently, Channie was only two.
“He’s married to another as well. Also arranged. To Lina.”
Seungmin? Hyuna and Seungmin?
“Seungmin’s your love? Suengmin’s the boys’ father? Does he know they’re his?” you held your hand up to your mouth to stop yourself speaking. This was not your business, and Hyuna certainly didn’t owe you any explanation. “I’m sorry, I’m the last person who should be asking these questions.”
“He knows.” She whispered.
“How does he cope? The boys think he’s their uncle.”
“It kills him. But the lie has gone on so long how could we ever tell the truth? Actually, you’re the first person to learn about suengmin and I.” She said.
“Why are you telling me so much? You should hate me.” you wondered.
“So you know you’re not alone. So you know that there are others close by that know what if feels like to be caught up in something forbidden.”
“I’m giving the baby up to Lina and Seungmin.” You said out of nowhere.
Hyuna paused in thought. “Lina has always wanted to be a mother. She’ll look after your little princess well. But just make sure this is what you want too. I’m lucky, my boys know I am their mother, but Seungmin, I hurt for him. It’s going to be hard for you and Han to have your child not know who you really are. But know, my sweet little flower, that we’ll look after you, whatever you choose to do.”
“Doesn’t the lie eat at you?” you asked.
“It is eating at us, but as far as me a Seungmin are concerned, we had our dreams, our future, stolen from us. We have resentment eating at us. I just hope you won’t have resentment eat at you.” She said looking at the water with a sadness you had never seen from her.
“Do you love Han?” you really wanted to know how she felt about her husband.
She shook her head. “Only like family. I’m not in love with him.”
“He loves you.” You said.
“Han might love me but not like he loves you and Lina.”
“You know about Lina?”
Hyuna laughed loudly this time. “Of course. They are the worst at keeping secrets!”
“Why did you try to call him out on cheating, but never outrightly approach him?”
“I wanted him to get better at hiding his affair. He was sloppy.” She shrugged.
“When did you know about Han and me?” you were seriously interested with the answer to this question. You wanted to know what gave you away.
“When he kept sneaking out of bed and you ended up pregnant. It just made sense.”
“So you and Seungmin have kept your entire relationship hidden for over a decade, and Han and Lina, and now me, couldn’t even keep things secret for five minutes?”
Hyuna nodded. “Like I said, sloppy.”
It was almost comical if the whole thing hadn’t been so tragic.
“Hey,” Hyuna smiled brightly. “Can I ask you something?”
You nodded. “Sure.”
“Can I take pregnancy photos of you? You know, like artistic photo shoots of your growing belly? A keepsake for you?”
“Really?” you hadn’t even thought about taking progress photos, save for a few crappy mirror selfies.
“Mmm, and I’d really love to paint a portrait of you too when you’re bigger. If you’ll let me.”
You looked down at your belly. “That is the nicest thing anyone has ever offered to do for me.”
“Is that a yes?” Hyuna searched your face.
You nodded and smiled. “It’s a yes.”
Hyuna helped you out of the bath, brought you a hot chocolate and tucked you into bed.
“I promise everything will be okay, petal. I’m going to go to bed now but Han will with you soon.”
She kissed your cheek and turned out your light as she left.
Although you seemed to still be coming to terms with giving up your baby, you were feeling overwhelmed with love and support from the people around you. Hyuna, of all people, was seemingly the most understanding and supportive of everyone. To have her approval, despite knowing who the father was, made you feel less ashamed of yourself. Hyuna even wanted to help you create some memories for you and your unborn baby. Somehow in this crazy, messed up situation, Hyuna understood you the most.
Hyuna was right, Han did come to you shortly after. He slipped into bed and spooned you. “How are my girls?” he snuggled in and wrapped his arms around your stomach.
Your mind thought about Seungmin. Did he ever lay snuggled up to Hyuna with his arm wrapped around her swollen stomach like this? Did he lay there wishing with everything he had that her baby could call him Daddy?
You wondered if Hyuna shared her story with you to give you a chance to choose differently? But what about Lina? You couldn’t just break her heart like that.
You rolled over to face Han. What did Han’s heart want? Was he content with your decision?
“Hannie?” You rubbed your thumb along his lower lip.
“Hmm?” He hummed.
“I love you.”
“I love you too, baby.” He threaded his fingers through yours and kissed your hand softly.
“I mean like really, really love you.” You added and pushed him onto his back and straddling him.
“Oh!” You could see him grin in the moonlight. “Feeling a little frisky tonight, hmm?”
You smirked. “Let me take care of you Hannie. I wanna make you feel good.” You couldnt make this situation better, but you could give him all the love in the world.
He was already naked, he never slipped into your bed wearing clothes, and you had already shimmied your panties off before he arrived. You rolled your hips so you could feel the length of his cock rub against your core. Fuck, it felt so good.
“Baby, you look like a goddess, you know that right?” he moaned, pushing his hips against you.
“Can I fuck you, Han?” you said low and measured.
“Baby,” he said excitedly. “Please. Please fuck me. I wanna feel you around my cock.” He was already so needy. You leaned down and kissed him hungrily, letting yourself savour his the taste of his lips. For the first time you didn’t feel that feeling of guilt of cheating on Hyuna that normally hung over you. You didn’t know it had been weighing you down as much as it had. You suddenly realised you always had this sick niggle in your gut that you might get caught fucking each other.
But now there was no one to catch you. You channeled this newfound freedom into the way you moved above Han. Confident and immersed in the moment. You lined yourself up with his cock, and sank down slowly, relishing the slow stretch and the feeling of fullness as you met his pelvis. Han’s hands immediately came up to grip your hips, firm, but not as aggressive as he usually was. He was letting you set the pace. You glided up and down his length, throwing your head back and caressing your breasts and stomach.
“Do I look sexy pregnant?” You purred.
“Oh god, yes. It’s like you were put in this earth to have my baby.” He squeezed your breast with one hand and dragged it down over your swollen abdomen. “ I can’t wait until you grow even bigger. You make me want to keep you pregnant all the time. After you have this one, I wanna filled you up with my cum constantly, get you pregnant over and over.“
You’d missed his graphic words, he’d been speaking to you so gentle and considerate for weeks, and all you wanted was that devious, horny, feral side to him.
You rocked on him harder and faster. “Touch my clit, Hannie, make me cum. I need you to make me cum.”
He reached down and applied pressure to your sensitive clit and you immediately picked up the intensity, bouncing up and down on his cock. “That’s it, baby. Come undone on me. Make a mess all over my cock… Ngh… yes … that’s it…fuck… I’m gonna cum.”
“I’m coming, Han… fuck… don’t stop… ahhh” you threw your head back as you came, at the same time you felt Han’s hot seed paint your insides. “That’s it, baby milk it all out of me.” He said as he thrust the last of his cum into you. “Look at you. Such a good girl taking every last drop.”
You were exhausted after that, sliding off of him and catching your breath. Han rolled over. “I wanna have like ten kids with you.” He kissed you then went to get a warm cloth to clean you up. He laid by your side until you fell asleep, then he left your room quietly.
For the first time in months you slept through the night.

Being the change I want to see in the world by posting Faith and Angel friendship/sibling headcanons (ignoring the comics cause I’ve never read them and some of the parts of ats that I don’t like):
Barring apocalyptic or other comparable season finale-esque events, Angel would call her in the prison every single week without fail
Faith is embarrassed by this in the same way a teenager is embarrassed when their friends find out that they have parents who love them
Every single one of these phone calls begins with a long, awkward silence as both of these losers struggle to find something to talk about. Eventually these long pauses become comforting to both of them
What they usually end up talking about (other than the progress of Faith’s redemption arc) is Angel venting about the annoying/mildly uncomfortable things he had to do during a job (the guy could literally be stranded in a hell dimension and what he spends the most time talking about is how itchy the clothes were) while Faith keeps him updated on the petty relationship/political drama happening around her like it’s a soap opera
After everything goes down and they have the occasional time to hang out, their time together is almost always spent watching their guilty pleasure chick flicks. Angel prefers the more serious, tragic, tear jerkers while Faith is more into rom-coms. They’ve sworn to never reveal this to anyone ever
A viewing of But I’m a Cheerleader leads to their first in depth discussion of both of their love lives.
Spike worked his way into a movie night once and they ended up watching Rocky Horror Picture Show. Angel refuses to admit that he loves it just as much as the other two did
Angel and Faith occasionally patrol for vamps and other demons at night clubs. On nights with less demonic activity they end up spending a lot of time people watching. Sometimes they’re petty and judgey and sometimes they try to get the other to break by telling the most ridiculous backstory possible while still maintaining a dry delivery
Whenever Faith is traveling she’ll send Angel a postcard. She’ll also occasionally call him. Faith claims to hate all of his worrying and mother-henning but secretly loves it. Angel doesn’t call her because she always forgets to give him her phone number
If Faith goes for more than a month or two with no contact then Angel will contact one of the scoobies so he can be not mad, just disappointed with her for worrying him. He’ll avoid contacting Buffy about Faith because the dynamics between all of them are still kind of weird even though she’s the one most likely to know where Faith is at any time
Angel is unaware that he’s dating both Cordy and Spike until Faith asks him about it
All of Faith’s singing abilities fly out the window whenever she’s hanging out with Angel and his gang
Lorne and Gunn make occasional cracks about how it makes sense that Faith and Angel get along, considering their names. The only ones who find these jokes funny are Lorne, Gunn, and Fred
Eventually Faith begins to show some small signs of aging. The only acknowledgment this receives is a silent, bittersweet smile shared between the two of them because who ever thought that they’d be alive long enough for Faith to show signs of aging? and Angel will never have the chance to grow old
They tend to forget to hold back with each other whenever they spar. This is both a source of concern and entertainment to the different members of the Fang Gang
Angel gets into the habit of fondly messing up Faith’s hair as a sign of affection. In return, Faith punches him in the arm or chest hard enough that no one else, not even a fellow slayer, would consider it to be playful. This is the most reliable way anyone has found to make him laugh
Angel has yet to approve of anyone Faith has dated and will occasionally try to convince her to at least try to ask out Buffy. Those conversations usually end in an impromptu sparring session
They both order huge meals when they go to their favorite 24-hour diner after patrolling or working a case together where Angel will then give Faith all of his food. There’s a demon friendly butcher not too far away that they usually hit up for blood anyway since the owner is still grateful that Angel helped them out one time
They. Are. Siblings.

All of y’all are fake fans. I knew about Joey Richter Time Jerker for years. He’s made an appearance in the new reboot iirc. James Tolbert (I think that’s his name Im shit with names) has an appearance in the new reboot. You clearly weren’t a true fan (this is a lie, I just watched Henry Danger some as a tween & when I saw someone or Joey mention him having a villain role in Henry Danger, I immediately went and looked it up)

Tumblr media
This is a harsh reality many Mammons live in: zero money. You know why? Because they often get hung up upside down, so the cash falls out of their pockets. The Mammons hate it very much, and it's scary for them, but this one is showing his deep fear to the Leviathan to show he really has no money. The fact that the Levi looks like he doesn't believe the other male is truly devastating to look at.
.
9
Tumblr media
What we see here, dear people, is a wild Beelzebub who stole a Leviathan's food, and proudly quotes the Joey guy from Friends while doing so. While it is not uncommon for such orange-haired males to steal food, it is sad when it happens to a Levi. Think about it, where do we go to get food when it's all finished? Exactly, the supermarket, which is outside. And what do Leviathans hate? The outside. This poor Levi now has to go outside for food.
.
8
Tumblr media
Mammon has returned, this time not sharing his own hardships, but making life hard for another species: Satans. Many people don't know this, but recent studies have shown there are two kinds of Satan, gold and silver. Silver Satans are more emotional than the gold ones, so calling one cheap is very painful for them, dangerous too. Why? All Satans express emotions by throwing destructive tantrums. By the way, our research team couldn't determine what the Simeon is thinking. Hypothesis says he's thinking about an Mc's glutes.
.
7
Tumblr media
Speaking of glutes, look at this heartbroken Asmodeus. It's in his name, ASSmodeus. Clearly, this kind of male loves ass as much as he loves the mirror section at IKEA and fake plants bugs won't sit on combined. This Asmo had spotted some potential mate with, in his words, 'a pretty nice derriere.' Imagine the pain he felt when the mate, potentially a Mc dressed as a succubus at a Halloween party, vanished from sight. Scientists were brought to tears by this image. So sad.
.
6
Tumblr media
Many of us can relate to this poor Belphegor. It's a sad reality we live in: waking up everyday from precious sleep to go to work, school, or to see your laundry you forgot to fold. As we know, Belphegors enjoy sleep, and are able to sleep in any situation. That is how much they love visiting dreamland. Our team of researchers believe this is due to the fact that Belphegors dream about auditioning for the position of the lead singer of Evanescence, and getting said part. This is their dream they get to live in. Imagine waking up. Ouch.
.
5
Tumblr media
Oh my, what a rare sighting! Wild Raphaels don't appear often in front of people. But, think about the reason we found a Raphael. He said it himself, he is missing. The poor thing. Imagine how much he misses his mom. The fact he used the word 'still' indicates he's been lost for a good while. Poor Raphael, we all hope he finds his mom soon.
.
4
Tumblr media
When you first look at this, you might think there isn't much sadness to it. But what if I told you our research team found out what the context behind this image is? You see, the Lucifer is talking to an Mc. Said Mc just woke up from a dream and they're still half-sleeping. Sadly the dream was way better than their reality: the Lucifer actually unbuttoned the highest button of his shirt in it. This Mc wishes it was also the case in their reality. One of our researchers quit because this was way too emotional.
.
3
Tumblr media
Now, on with the real tear-jerkers. First, I have to point out how sweet it is of the Asmo to try to cheer the Levi up. But, we've all been in this position the Leviathan is in right now. And we sure know how painful it is to relive those memories. Nobody wants to remember the terrible things they did as a young child at 3AM while trying to sleep after all. Just look at this Levi's body language, he's completely shut himself off from the world. I actually cried.
.
2
Tumblr media
Oh the pain. The pure emotion packed into this phrase, the hint of sorrow behind his eyes, the blush, indicating the Satan was crying. That's too much, man. Good thing the nearest Mc came running to give this Satan a hug. We have to admit, our team wasn't able to find the context to this image. However, the most popular theory states that the Satan was trying to catch a cat, but it ran away and told him a yo mama joke.
.

Tumblr media
I needed a moment before even looking at this. Poor Diavolo, getting absolutely clapped in Mario Kart. Everyone hates losing in that game, but it's worse for Diavolos. Mcs rank them not by attractiveness or anything, no, but by skill in Mario Kart. That means this Diavolo's love life got ruined, by his own friend. If that isn't sad, I don't know what is.

(Had this in the drafts)
There are already paint designs for Ian, Shaun, and Nick from the card reward from backing the sdj kickstarter with 300$ I do not have these cards personally but Crispy_Draws on twitter was kind enough to share them with the class
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These were made as a what if scenario for the modern day bois being on the actual show back in the 80's so none of them have official signatures, which is where I step in
Ian is an aspiring actor, looking up to Jean as a role model of sorts. He's more interested in the actual theater than the camera so he can't fully relate but he's got all of Jean's old movies and just gushes over them whenever he has the chance. For now he helps Elias and Shaun keep their library in order, even offering to recite passages from novels much to Elias' delight. Shaun will even ask him to act out parts of the novel he's writing to see if they translate well. His signature actually has a name, look at me go! It's called tear jerker, and it makes everyone around him cry whenever he does
Speaking of the Gladpire, Shaun lives in the spooky mansion on the hill with Elias. He actually knew Elias back when he was alive, visiting when he could as he travelled all over the world. He was one of the few people left who could attend his funeral. After a while he heard rumors of Elias' old house being haunted and scaring out every other buyer, so of course he had to scope it out. They were delighted to see each other again, Shaun honestly feeling a bit relived his friend could join him in eternity. Now Shaun spends most of his days huddled away writing novel after novel about horror stories based in what he learned in his travel, Moonpie the vamp-kitty curled up beside him as he writes. His signature allows him to "feed" on joy without stealing it from others
Nick runs the local bakery, though his passion will always be candies. Ever since Rory started working with him he's had more time to focus on his sweets while Rory handles things like bread and rolls. These two can talk about baking for hours if you let them, some days they just sit and chat together and wonder where the time went. He's also pretty close to Jack seeing as he comes in so often to talk to Rory, Jack doesn't understand a lick of baking lingo but he loves hearing the both of them talk. Nick's signature also has a name! It's called sugar coat and it allows him to take anything bitter and make it taste sweet

Character Themes
I was tagged by @dragonsongmakhali for this, tysm for the tag! :>
I'll be tagging @shroudkeeper @ahollowgrave @airis-ray and @thefreelanceangel (feel free to skip if you've already done this!)
I'm doing my main roster so everything's going under the cut since it'll be long, I added small blurbs to each:
What instrumental track would play in the background of your character's story during their most meaningful moments?
paris ; ff11 ost - recollection:
youtube
here's a track that doesn't match paris' aesthetic in the slightest, but it's meant to be a tear-jerker. I would go as far to say this would be paris' main theme as it shows a vulnerable part of them that no one gets to see. this is probably the only song that fits the question of this tag game
kirke ; silent hill 4 ost - silent circus:
youtube
it was between this track and a track from the cry of fear ost, but my love for silent hill won out. I always imagined kirke as having an industrial/trip-hop-based character theme, so this fits way too well for her. I wouldn't call this track 'meaningful' to kirke, it's a bit odd—then again she's an odd character. I imagine this plays during her more leisurely/playful moments
tauvane ; assassin's creed 2 ost - dreams of venice:
youtube
the elegance of this song is perfect for tauvane, it's regal and refined as it reflects her background. but what gets me is 2:07-2:45, the sudden change in tone and atmosphere shows you another side of her, something dangerous and cold. I would say this plays when achille meets her again after so many years spent apart
hector ; silent hill ost - only you:
youtube
this one is short, but hector's overall time in the story is short. it's overwhelmingly sad and there's a yearnful tone to this, a yearning for andromache to stay. but the piano is drowned out by a repeating 'droning' noise. it hints at something more sinister, aka halmarut. so this doubles a theme for halmarut as well
yves ; silent hill 3 ost: maternal heart:
youtube
something not bloodborne for once. it feels empty and haunting to me, just like yves himself. the name 'maternal heart' also calls back to cessair, yves' mother. like kirke, yves has a more industrial track that plays, but since he doesn't talk much I don't think this will be heard often
andromache ; assassin's creed revelations ost - byzantium:
youtube
this one fits andromache to a T. there's a strong sense of melancholy and vulnerability attached to this song that I think works well for her meaningful moments in the story as a character theme. the plucking strings, the haunting vocals, and the twinkling music box all scream 'andromache'
evander ; nier ost - his dream:
youtube
the tatlonghari brothers share similar themes, the difference between them is the title. this song, to me, has a quick pace, and a feeling of a childhood lost or something masked. it's ethereal in execution, but it doesn't match evander's personality or actions. this is intentional, as evander deep down is still a good person at heart, and this song reflects that, but he shows a totally different person on the surface
patroclus ; nier ost - this dream:
youtube
in contrast to evander, patroclus' is more slow, idyllic, and hopeful. it sounds like a song detailing a happy childhood. evander's theme is centered around him, but patroclus' is centered around those he lost—his parents most importantly. patroclus has a lot of meaningful moments I feel like, so this is very much a patroclus track
achille ; cry of fear ost - brandon:
youtube
here's something different, something modern. despite achille's positive and happy disposition, this song showcases his inner self and how much turmoil and pain he goes through daily. its singular guitar in the beginning accompanied by an almost underwater ambiance matches what he feels regarding his mother tauvane. this plays a lot when talking about her I think
azem (helen) ; assassin's creed brotherhood ost - echos of the roman ruins:
youtube
yet another AC song, I've had on repeat lately since I'm revisiting the games. this song in particular has a sense of wistful nostalgia to it, that feeling of a time that no longer exists once the vocals kick in. while this is too short for my liking, this is perfect for helen the more I revisit their backstory, flesh them out, and reinvent the wheel

Henry Danger Reader Insert | Captain Man x Reader: SEASON 2
Episode 7: Secret Beef
~The Man Cave, (y/n)'s PoV)
I had been waiting for Henry and Ray to return for about half an hour when the kid sent me a quick text saying that our plans to go out for Chinese food were gonna be delayed. Apparently, a news crew had rocked up with stupid Evelyn Hall and all her... feminine assets. I remembered how Ray loved to flirt with her and it turned my mood sour.
"We have some breaking news. It seems like Captain Man and Kid Danger have captured the Time Jerker. Now, let's go to Evelyn Hall, live at the Swellview Clocktower." I watched Trent Overrunder interrupt his colleague and sighed as Evelyn's pretty profile came on the computer's monitor.
"Thanks, Trent. Captain Man and Kid Danger, can you tell us what happened here?" The woman asked Henry and I could see the Time Jerker struggling behind Ray, who was posing for the camera. Always a showoff.
"We found out that the Time Jerker was--" Henry tried to explain, but Ray interrupted him as he flirted with Evelyn. I felt my jealousy bubbling up in me as I watched him shove the poor kid out of the way and cosied up to her.
"Hello." He smiled at her, making tears spring up in my eyes. I hated that he couldn't see how I was here, in his home, waiting for him. It hurt me so much that he saw something in her that I hadn't got. Whatever she had, I desperately wanted.
"Hey." Evelyn breathed out dreamily and I could see the way my best friend's devilishly handsome good looks melted her heart. He always had that effect on women, including me and sometimes I couldn't help but feel so damn stupid that I lined myself up to be the next fool. I loved him, but I wasn't going to be another notch on his bedpost or another broken girl chucked out on the street the next morning. I'd die before I became another faceless name on his list of ex-lovers; the friendzone seemed much better.
"So, about an hour ago, I swung in here, swung through that glass and captured that Time Jerker you see right over there," Ray reported, making me scoff. Who was he kidding? I knew Henry had helped out and that he was just begging himself up in front of the gorgeous news reporter. Honestly, he pissed me off sometimes.
"I also participated." I saw Henry lean over and try to get himself onscreen, but I knew it was pointless. When Ray had his sights set on a girl, sadly, he didn't take them off until he had his way with them.
"Well, Captain Man, once again, the city of Swellview owes you a big, fat thank you." Evelyn purred at him, making me feel nauseous. I could never be that seductive with Ray, it just made me feel silly and clumsy with my tongue.
"I also participated!" Henry reiterated, but this time more loudly. Still, they ignored him, poor kid.
"Ehhh, I don't do it for thank yous. But there is something that I want." Ray mentioned, which piqued my interest. If he was about to announce he wanted to take her on a date on national television, I might just puke or faint or both.
"Sure...anything...uh, I mean, what?" My eyes nearly popped out of my head at how hard I rolled them. At least I tried to be subtle.
"As I'm sure you already know, there's a very special steakhouse here in Swellview, called Montego's." Ohhhhhh, so that's what he was after. I remembered how Ray had banged on and on about that restaurant for months after it opened and despite his status as Swellview's greatest hero, he still hadn't been invited. I had listened to his whining like a good friend and I was well aware of the hype surrounding Montego's.
I had a friend there who worked in the kitchen as a head chef or something. It was a fancy job, I think, but I had never really asked. They had even wangled me a few free dinners with them about a year ago, not that I had mentioned it to Ray. I didn't want him to be upset that I had tried their award-winning steaks before he did. As I always said: what Ray didn't know wouldn't hurt him.
"Right, I've heard of Montego's." Evelyn's dulcet tones broke me from my daydream and I focused on the interview again.
"Right, well, did you know that you can't get a reservation at that place? You have to be invited by the owner." I chuckled at how petty Ray was being. I mean, the steaks were good, but they weren't worth whining on TV for.
"Anyway, we're really glad that we were able to capture the Time Jerker---" Bless Henry's little cotton socks. He didn't have Ray enormous ego and he was just happy that he had made our city that much safer for its citizens.
"--So to the owner of Montego's restaurant, hey! It's me, Captain Man, guy who keeps the whole city safe." Ray bragged to the owner who was probably watching. Geez, he was so needy.
"You really do." Evelyn praised him, her gaze soft and star-struck like he was a God put on the Earth for us mortals to behold. I wondered if I ever looked at him like that. God, I hope not. How to out myself in one simple step.
"I like steak. I like it a lot, so...feel free to invite me to your restaurant at Montego's." I snorted as he just came out with it. Well, I suppose if you don't ask, you don't get.
"I also like steak." Henry jumped on the bandwagon, hoping the invitation extended to him too. Maybe if I was lucky, they bring me home a doggy bag.
"I'm Evelyn Hall, single and ready." Okay, that definitely stung, especially when Ray smirked at her and stepped into her personal space.
"Try being ready for like eight years, love. He still doesn't notice." I mumbled to myself as I turned off the computer. I was ready to be swept off my feet, to love and be loved, to give him everything he was looking for. The only questions I had were, would he accept me? Or would I be another Evelyn, Hannah, Grace, Monica, Rebecca or Fiona walking out his door?
~Two weeks later, 3rd person PoV~
(y/n) was supervising Henry and Charlotte as they worked on the supercomputer. They were trawling through the database, memorising each criminal and their details.
"Okay, next criminal." The woman told Charlotte after Henry had scanned the information for a few minutes.
"They call him Malkov. He steals dogs and then shaves their hair sells it to wig shops." The girl read out, making Henry grimace at the odd man's gross crimes.
"Ugh. Sick weirdo." He grumbled as (y/n) agreed, Yeah, Ray never liked dealing with Malkov.
"Hey, hey! Guys, guys! Hey, hey!" Ray yelled, sprinting down the steps as he returned from his bathroom break. This had been happening for the past two weeks; non-stop interruptions from the large man, who was desperate to get into Montego's.
"For the five hundredth time, no, Ray, that damn restaurant hasn't called you." (y/n) sighed, causing Ray to swat his fists in frustration.
"Dang it!" He cursed as (y/n) put a calming hand on his bicep. She didn't know it, but the simple touch made his heart flutter more in ten seconds than a whole interview with Evelyn Hall did.
"Dude, if you want steak, let's just go to Backout Steakhouse." Henry reasoned, but Ray rejected the offer with a sour face.
"No! I'm not gonna go to Backout Steakhouse." Ray mocked the restaurant by putting on a phoney Australian accent. He couldn't go there, he wanted to take (y/n) to a classy restaurant at some point and Backout Steakhouse wasn't classy. He need to try out Montego's, then he could take his girl for the meal of her life.
"I wanna go to Montego's!" He whined, making Charlotte roll her eyes.
"Raymond, I want you to sit down, relax and finish your juice, like a good boy." (y/n) took charge of the situation and manoeuvred Ray like a child so he could sit and calm down. He flushed at her nickname for him and hid his red face in his beaker, gulping his cool juice so he could relax.
"Don't you feel better?" (y/n) bent down next to him and smiled up at him kindly.
"Yeah, I do." He told her gently, her smile melting his anger. She looked so perfect when she gazed at him like that and he couldn't stay mad.
"I just don't get it. I said it on the news two weeks ago." Ray carried on looking sadly at the computer as (y/n) connected their hands by holding onto his pinky with her. It was a small connection, but a sweet one.
"I said, feel free to invite me to your restaurant, Mr Montego. He probably heard me say that, you know it!" He ranted, finishing his tirade by placing each hand over (y/n)'s ears and gazing into her eyes intensely, making her breath catch.
"Should I be concerned?" She asked carefully, trying to stop her face from warming up under his palms. However, she didn't have to worry for long since the computer started beeping, indicating they had received a message.
"Maybe that's Montego's!" Ray exclaimed and dashed over to where Charlotte was sat, leaving his stunned friend in a bit of a daze.
"Move, move!" He yanked a protesting Charlotte off the chair and sat down himself.
"Hello, Captain Man hotline, what is it please?" The superhero asked in a polite tone as his friends scowled at his erratic behaviour.
"Hello? I'm calling from the Swellview Home for the Elderly--" A frail voice started, but it wasn't what Ray wanted to hear.
"Dah, you're not Montego's" He snapped and hung up, shocking Henry, who's moral compass was at the forefront of his crime-fighting persona.
"Dude, you can't just hang up on people like that." He scolded his boss who had shrunk back from (y/n)'s glare.
"That could've been an emergency." Charlotte pointed out, making Henry go back to the computer as the hotline rang again.
"Yeah, hi. What's your emergency?" Henry answered, intent on responding properly this time.
"Uh, a man broke in here and stole all our money and our clothing. We're all here naked, can you help us?" The terrified man said, making Ray, Henry, Charlotte and (y/n) think about the situation for a second. Old people and nakedness. Ew.
"I'm sorry, did you say you were all elderly and naked?" Henry asked tentatively as (y/n) shuddered and leant back into Ray, who crossed his huge arms across her chest.
"Yes." The man on the line confirmed.
"...Sorry, wrong number," Henry said after thinking for a minute. Yeah, he didn't want to deal with wrinkled skin and flabby...things. He'd just stay at home in pure, ignorant bliss.
~Swellview High~
It was a rare occurrence in school that Miss Shapen searched for a student with good news. However, today was just one of those occurrences and Henry was the lucky recipient.
"Henry Hart! Henry Hart! We're looking for you!" She shouted happily as the marching band played behind her. She scoured the halls for the lucky boy, who just so happened to turn the corner as she called his name. He looked at all the fanfare with utter confusion, as the crappy band of kids stopped playing.
"Hi." He greeted his teacher carefully, wondering what all the fuss was about.
"Heyyyyy." She gave him a rare smile, which hinted to Henry that something was up.
"What's up?" He asked Miss Shapen, nerves bubbling in his stomach.
"Henry, three weeks ago, I was injured, lying on the gym floor. But you found me and you pulled that long, rusty, bloody nail right outta my foot." The woman recalled as a crowd began to gather around the teacher and her student.
"Yeah, I remember," Henry said. How could he forget? It was one of the most disgusting moments of his life.
"Well, because of your good deed, I hereby present you with this gift bag because you, Henry Hart, are Student of the Month." She exclaimed and the crowd burst into applause. Well, Henry's day just got brighter.
"Wow, thanks, cool." He smiled at Miss Shapen.
"Well, we wanted--" The teacher was cut off by the loud, offbeat playing of the band and she quickly whipped around and sharply yelled at them to quit it.
"Now, look what's in your bag." She told Henry, who excitedly peeked in the paper bag and pulled out a chain with a dirty nail on it.
"What's this, a necklace?" Henry asked.
"Yeah. That's the nail you pulled out of my foot." Only Miss Shapen would get him a gift like that.
"Oh, yeah. Dried blood." Henry gaged and quickly put the thing back in the bag before he yacked.
"Keep going." She encouraged him, so Henry dug through the tissue paper and pulled out a card.
"A gift card?" He asked, hoping it was something good.
"Yep. That gets you dinner for two at Montego's restaurant!" She revealed, making Henry grin excitedly. This was perfect! Now, Ray could go to Montego's with him and try the steak so he could see if it was a good place to take (y/n). He always felt like if he could impress her, she'd see him as someone on her level and maybe she'd look at him the way he looked at her. If only he saw how she longed for him to do the same.
"No way! How'd you get this?" Henry asked his teacher, bewildered as to how Sherona Shapen had such a prestigious contact.
"Well, the principal's wife is the second cousin of Mr Montego's brother-in-law." She explained the very distant relation, but it didn't matter to Henry. He just cared about how he was going to Montego's!
"Thanks." He smiled at her, but she couldn't help but have an ulterior motive.
"You know, that's, uh, dinner for two. You wanna take me with you?" She asked hopefully, but it was the worst suggestion Henry had ever heard of. Dinner with Miss Shapen? No, thank you!
"No." He answered simply.
"Are ya sure?" She pushed, thinking that he might change his mind.
"Yeah." His direct statement made Sherona walk off with her marching band, leaving Henry to smile at his prize. Boy, he couldn't wait to tell Ray the good news.
~Later that day~
Henry had returned home that afternoon to find a group of people sat in his living room. His parents, Jasper, Charlotte, Piper, even complete strangers were in his house, all bearing gifts to sway Henry to their side. He was utterly puzzled as to why they had all gathered on the couch, there was even a homeless guy called Herb on the end seat.
"So, Henry, we heard that part of your Student of the Month prize was dinner for two at Monetgo's." A neighbour piped up and that was what tipped Henry off when they all acted like they had no idea what she was talking about. They really needed to work on being subtle.
"OH, PLEASE TAKE ME!!" Jasper pleaded with his best friend and his shouting set everyone else off.
"Why would he take you? I'm his best friend." Charlotte argued, setting off a bitter quarrel between the two over who Henry deemed his favourite friend. Not that he did.
"Hey, a boy's best friend is his mother!" Mrs Hart argued, not being above using her motherly relationship to muscle her way into a steak dinner with her son. Mr Hart certainly had something to say about that. So did Herb. In fact, the whole group did and it all descended into an argument that Henry struggled to stay on top of it.
"Hey!" Suddenly, Ray burst through the door with (y/n) on his heels, both of them out of breath from legging it to Henry's house. Ray was desperate to get that dinner place and (y/n) didn't want to miss out on anything.
"Hey, Henry, hi. I just heard about your prize, y'know, oh god." He smiled at his sidekick as (y/n) fanned herself, she and her friend sweating profusely.
"I think I'm having a heart attack." (y/n) wheezed, as her legs burned from sprinting. Unlike Ray, she wasn't a perfectly trim and fit superhero and she hadn't run like that in a while.
"Why are you both wet?" Henry asked them and (y/n) sat on the floor, too tired to give a shit about the neighbours' judgemental stares.
"We're sweating. We just ran nine miles to get here." Ray panted.
"I'm dyingggg." The young woman whined her head in her hands as the nine-mile run caught up with her. It had felt a lot longer than nine miles once she'd gotten past the two-mile mark.
"What's the dog leash for?" Henry pondered, seeing the red leash still in his boss's fist. Only, there was no dog.
"Oh, we were walking a friend's dog. You know how (y/n) loves them and wants one, but we can't keep one." He explained as his breathing started to even out.
"Where's the dog?" Henry asked with a frown on his face.
"I don't know," Ray said, grabbing a kid's glass of water and taking a swig from it before giving the majority to (y/n). She stood up on wobbly legs and leaned against him as he held the glass to her lips.
"Hey, who are these guys?" A woman holding a lamp and looking the couple up and down asked. Ray leaned back with (y/n) held to his chest as she held the lamp aloft.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Henry calmed everyone's confused whispers and they all fell back into line.
"For those that don't know, this is Ray, my boss at Junk-N-Stuff and this is my co-worker, (y/n). Ray has been dying to go to Montego's for years, so...I'm taking Ray to Montego's." Henry broke the bad news to everyone else as Ray starting jumping in delight.
"Hahahahah. Yeah, baby, who's got the lamp now?" Ray gloated as the crowd grumbled and groaned in disappointment.
"You do!" (y/n) giggled with him as he pulled her and Henry into side hugs. He couldn't help but think about how she'd answered his rhetoric after he slipped in the "baby" bit and god, it felt so right to imagine actually being able to call her that. If he could just wow her, he might just stand a chance. He might just get to call her baby.
~The next day, Swellview High~
Henry strolled to his locker, feeling pretty good about himself since he'd been on a lucky streak lately. However, when he opened his locker, a confetti cannon exploded in his face and pushed him backwards. Bianca giggled as Henry stumbled back to his feet.
"Happy lockerversary!" She exclaimed after she'd shuffled over to him as quickly as she could in her cutesy flats.
"I'm sorry, happy what?" Henry asked as politely as he could. What the hell was a lockolerlyversary or whatever?
"Lockerversary." Bianca clarified, thinking the portmanteau was pretty self-explanatory.
"I'm so lost." Henry smiled at her nervously, looking for some help.
"It was six months ago today when you and I first started sharing this locker!" The brunette explained and everything became clear for her boyfriend.
"Ohhhhh, okay." Henry smiled. That made sense.
"Wait, wait, wait. For you!" Bianca held out a mini replica of their locker with a copper-coloured ribbon stuck to the top of it. An odd choice for a good, but it was kind nonetheless. Opening the mini-locker, Henry was shocked again as a mini-confetti cannon exploded in his face. Again.
"But, I feel bad 'cause I didn't get you anything," Henry told her as he put his locker in his locker. Funny.
"Aw, you didn't have to." Bianca smiled, relaxing Henry twisting insides.
"Oh, awesome." He breathed out.
"I mean, what's better than the two of us having dinner together at Montego's?" The girl said happily, but Henry felt anything but happy.
"Wait, what'd you say?" He asked, a tight smile on his face as he tried not to freak out in front of her.
"You're taking me, right?" Bianca's tone made Henry's stomach drop. How could he tell her he was taking his boss, not her?
"Well, yeah. Duh. I mean, what kind of person wins dinner for two and doesn't invite his girlfriend?" Henry lied, unable to tell her anything else. Ah, geez.
"A terrible person." She confirmed, unknowingly making her boyfriend feel even worse. Did he dare tell Ray?
~Later that day, in the Man Cave~
Henry fell down in the elevator and stumbled out to see his boss sat happily in the middle of the Man Cave at a fancily-clad dining table. (y/n) was sitting at the couch table, her head and arms rest on the back of the couch as she watched as Henry's face crumpled in confusion.
"Hi." Henry greeted tentatively, seeing how Ray smiled brightly at him.
"Hey, Henry, you wanna join me?" The large man asked as (y/n) rolled her eyes. The whole set-up was weird to her; Ray even had a cardboard cutout of a waiter.
"For what?" The boy asked, puzzled as to what was going on.
"A "rehearsal". He's practising what he's ordering when he goes to Monetgo's. God knows why." She said in a bored tone, ignorant to the fact that this was a setting that Ray fully intended to take her to, once he'd ironed out all the wrinkles.
"Okay, Ray. I gotta talk--" Henry tried to stop him before Ray could get all excited, but it was too late. (y/n) could see that something wasn't right and she felt a sense of dread at what Henry was trying to say.
"--Uh, yes and I'll have the steak. I'll have the 16-ounce ribeye and I want that medium-rare." Ray pretended that he was in the restaurant and looked at the "waiter" like he was actually taking his order.
"Of course, and would you care for anything else?" He wobbled the cutout and spoke in a silly voice.
"Yeah, I'll have two more steaks!" Ray laughed at his little joke as Henry's face twitched as he tried to smile. Oh god, this was going to break his heart.
"Oh, Henry. You don't know what this means to me." The superhero thanked his generous sidekick as his best friend came over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. Her touch just made his heart shine brighter.
"It's just beef, man." Henry tried to play it all down, but nothing could dampen Ray's spirits.
"Look, I didn't tell you this but, I've been going through a rough patch lately," Ray confessed to Henry, walking over to the kid and putting his arm around his shoulders. (y/n) gulped as he divulged his feelings to Henry; she hadn't known he'd been feeling bad. Why hadn't he come to her?
"Ah, geez." Henry breathed out as Ray turned to him for support. This was (y/n)'s area of expertise, not his.
"I've just been feeling so depressed the last couple of months until you invited me to go to Montego's for dinner," Ray told him. He had felt a bit useless recently; he had been having difficulties as Captain Man and had been pining for his girl for too long. His heart yearned for her, but he couldn't gather the courage to ask her out. Montego's was his chance.
"Well, yeah, but.." Henry stumbled, trying to get the words out, but Ray wouldn't let him.
"Is it okay that I tell you that I think of you as family? You're like the little brother or nephew I never had." Ray cooed, squishing Henry into a hug. Okay, that definitely made (y/n)'s heart soar. Henry was like her little brother/ nephew too and she loved him just as much as Ray did.
"Ray, I can't take you to Montego's!" Henry exploded, his feelings bursting out as the pressure became too much. The young woman behind Ray cringed at what he said, this news would kill Ray.
"What'd you say?" Ray shook his head, thinking he misheard the boy. His stomach dropped as Henry gave him a sympathetic look and (y/n) shuffled closer to the boys timidly, not wanting to flare any tempers.
"I gotta take Bianca. I'm sorry." The boy apologised, but Ray just didn't want to believe him. He'd been dreaming about this for so long.
"Ahhh, you're joking." He smiled at his sidekick, hoping it was all some big prank.
"No..." Henry replied quietly as Ray began to feel a bit sick.
"You're...joke-making." The man continued, praying that if he said it more, it would come true.
"No." Henry reiterated more firmly, looking behind Ray to (y/n) with pleading eyes. If he'd listen to anyone, it would be her.
"You're making a joke." Ray chuckled bitterly, his emotions not being able to process what he was being told.
"Ray, he's not joking." His best friend said as gently as she could, putting a delicate hand on his arm to see if it would ground him.
"He is too. He's telling a terrible, awful, mean joke, but it's all gonna be okay 'cause he's still taking me to Montego's...with you right?" He looked at Henry as he ranted. He daren't look at the glossy-eyed girl next to him, gulping as he thought about how no Montego's meant he'd failed. If he couldn't get into one, measly restaurant, what kind of boyfriend would he be for her? A lousy one, in his mind.
"Ray..." Henry shook his head.
"I said, you are still taking me to Monetgo's with you, right?" He repeated fiercely, his eyes glancing sideways to remind Henry about why he wanted to go to the restaurant in the first place. Not for the steaks anyway.
"Bianca's my girlfriend, I gotta take her." The teen exclaimed, feeling trapped in the situation.
"W-Why?!" Ray yelled as tears sprung up in the corners of his eyes.
"'Cause I do. I'm really sorry." Henry sighed, making Ray deflate as his disappointment reached its peak.
"Okay." He accepted, walking past his little dining table.
"Ray, it's just a steakhouse." (y/n) whispered to him and squeezed his hand, but she didn't know that it was so much more for him. He saw it as a chance to do a boyfriend thing, seeking out a place that she'd like and then building up the courage to take her there. She should've just told him that Montego's was just another restaurant to her. The steak was nice, but she didn't need anything fancy, she only needed him.
"Dude, look. Maybe later, you, (y/n) and I can--" Henry tried to suggest something that would fix the mess, but Ray didn't want to hear it.
"Don't worry about me. I'm fine." He smiled at the boy and sat down on one of the little chairs. (y/n)'s heart ached for him, there had to be a way to get him into that damn restaurant.
"Are you sure?" Henry asked, not really believing him.
"You don't look fine." The young woman interjected, seeing his bloodshot eyes and tense muscles.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He swallowed, but his rage exploded as he picked up his chair and threw it at the cardboard waiter. (y/n) squeaked in surprise and fear as he ripped it to shreds in anger. Seeing him that angry was a rarity. She tiptoed over to Henry and ducked behind him whilst Ray continued his temper tantrum. How was she meant to deal with that?
"Ray..." Henry started in a surprisingly level voice considering the show his boss just put on.
"I'm fine." He replied throatily, his heart turning to water as he saw how (y/n) had recoiled from his splenetic actions. He couldn't bear to see her apprehensive gaze and he felt so stupid and childish that he just walked away. Maybe it was cowardly, but everyone knew he needed a minute to calm down.
Henry sighed as the secret door closed, leaving him alone with (y/n).
"Well, that went horribly." She retorted, unclenching her fist which she hadn't noticed had curled up tightly after Ray's outburst.
"I feel so bad," Henry confessed, his eyes lowered glumly to the floor.
"Look, I know Monetgo's is good, but it's just steak. Trust me, he'll be fine." The woman reassured him, putting both of her hands on his shoulders.
"Yeah, but, what if he hates me?" He worried, thinking about how he could lose his job or worse, his friend.
"All that stuff he said before about how you're family to us, that was true. He doesn't hate you." (y/n) said softly, smiling at the kid who had grown to be like a brother to her.
"Really?" Henry chuckled, suddenly feeling a lot better. She really knew how and when to say the right thing.
"Yeah, totally. And he doesn't have a lot of family left and mine doesn't live in Swellview. Believe me, kid, you're not going anywhere." She ruffled his hair with a giggle and he laughed with her.
"Thanks, (y/n/n)." Henry gave her a quick hug, glancing at his watch as he did so.
"Oh, shoot, I gotta get home." He exclaimed, realising that he had to go home and groom himself for his big dinner with Bianca.
"Better get a move on. Bianca will expect the best." (y/n) teased him as he dashed to the elevator.
"I know!" The boy said over his shoulder.
"And don't worry! I can deal with Ray!" She yelled as the elevator door slid shut and took the boy away. Left alone in the main room, the task ahead of her was daunting.
"I think." She gulped. Looks like she'd have to pull a few strings to make her best friend happy again. After all, she'd do anything to see him smile.
~Later that evening, Montego's restaurant~
Well, it seemed that (y/n)'s scheming hadn't gone quite to plan. Against all her protesting, advice and best efforts to stop him, Ray had convinced Schwoz to put on a wig, dress and makeup and the two of them had arrived at Montego's in disguise.
Yep, they were masquerading as two teens, Henry and Bianca, and it was safe to say that it wasn't very convincing. Sauntering down the restaurant's steps from the entrance, Ray and Schwoz approached the maître d'hôtel, who looked at them in bewilderment and disapproval. Ray really didn't suit being blond.
"Your names, please?" The formal man. asked politely, maintaining his manners despite his odd guests.
"Uh, yes, I'm Henry, Henry Hart and this is my girlfriend, Bianca...Smathers." Ray lied, swallowing his nerves as Schwoz gave the man a not-at-all charming smile. This wasn't the way he'd dreamed about going to Monetgo's with a girlfriend in tow, that's for sure.
"It's our lockerversary," Schwoz said in a high-pitched voice, the two men not noticing Henry or Bianca coming down the stairs. Oh, shit.
"Ray?" Henry frowned at his boss. He knew he was desperate to come here, but he didn't think he'd try to impersonate him.
"Uh, no, I'm Henry Hart, teenager." The superhero stammered.
"Sir, I'm Henry Hart." His sidekick corrected, irritated that Ray was embarrassing him like this.
"Wait, isn't that your boss from Junk-N-Stuff?" Bianca asked in confusion.
"Yes!" Henry growled.
"No, I'm in ninth grade, dude!" Someone needed to tell Ray that teenagers don't sound like that.
"Pardon me, where's the ladies' room?" Schwoz asked in his "lady" voice, which wasn't fooling anyone.
"I know you're not a girl." The maître d'hôtel told him, turning the genius's mood sour.
"Prove it," Schwoz growled, thinking he played at being a girl brilliantly. Ray and Henry descended into an argument and they didn't see how they were causing a scene in the middle of the restaurant.
"Okay, let's have some decorum, please!" A soft, but still authoritative voice shouted. Everyone broke apart to see (y/n) trotting down the stairs, the young woman growling at the fighting boys as she folded her arms next to Bianca.
"I'm so sorry, Bernard. Are they causing trouble?" She looked at the host politely, who smiled at her with familiarity. Wait a second, how did she know his name?
"Yes, Miss (y/l/n). They're upsetting my diners." He grumbled, causing (y/n) to sigh. Of course, her friend would be troublesome in the one place she had some refined, sophisticated friends.
"I'm so sorry, please, let me apologise for their behaviour." She crooned, using her most endearing smile and her best manners to sweeten her acquaintance's mood.
"Bernard? How do you know him?" Henry asked as Ray silently watched the situation. He noticed that she was nervous and uncomfortable and he wondered what was putting her on edge.
"Miss (y/l/n) has dined with us many times. She is our head chef's personal guest." The host butted in, making Henry, Ray, Schwoz and Bianca look at her in shock. She had been before and not said anything?
"I mean, many times is a bit excessive." She nervously laughed as Ray stepped towards her.
"You know the chef and you've been here before? You—you never told me..." He looked at her in hurt, making her feel like the bad guy. She didn't want him to react like he was reacting now, she didn't keep the secret to be nasty or malicious. It just seemed better to day nothing at all.
"Why are they here pretending to be us?" Bianca piped up, her confusion bubbling over.
"Why are you here pretending to be us?" Schwoz shot the question back to her as (y/n) looked away from her best friend and rubbed her eyes. She couldn't cry in public. He just focused on winning the argument since he was too deep now to quit. Although, he was desperate to see this chef that had beaten him to the chase.
"Stop it!" Henry scolded them as they picked on his girlfriend. This was all getting too complicated for him.
"Look, they did this 'cause... Ray's been, like, dying to come to this restaurant for years." Henry said, looking over his shoulder at his boss who bashfully avoided eye contact.
"Well, now I feel all bad," Bianca said sadly and (y/n) could relate to that. She was wracking her brain for a way to make it up to the man she loved.
"No, you shouldn't." Her boyfriend replied, hating that he had put her in this situation.
"But I'm not even into steak," Bianca revealed slowly.
"What?!" Ray cried in disbelief and disgust. She came to a steakhouse but didn't like steak? What was wrong with the girl?
"The chicken's pretty good here too." (y/n) told him in an attempt to build a bridge, but it didn't really work out.
"Oh, no, no, no, no!" He whined and stomped his feet around the foyer, behaving like a spoilt child, which disheartened (y/n) and irritated Henry.
"Ray, you're embarrassing me." He hissed at his boss, eyeing the way the young woman next to Bianca fiddle with her bag's strap as she lost herself in melancholic thought.
"Oh, I'm embarrassing you?" Ray scoffed, ignorant of how his selfish behaviour was affecting those who loved him most.
"Yes!" Henry snapped, having had enough of his brattish actions.
"Or is it your chicken-loving girlfriend there?" Oh, that crossed a line and (y/n) decided that she wasn't going to let him bully poor Bianca just because he was jealous.
"No, it's definitely you, Raymond." She hissed, shocking Ray with her harsh tone. Bernard, Schwoz and Bianca looked on awkwardly as Henry and (y/n) tried to sort things out.
"Ray, please go home." The boy pleaded, grabbing his boss by the elbow and leading him to the stairs.
"I promise I'll make this up to you." (y/n) swore, hoping the sincerity in her voice would convince him that she was unbelievably sorry for keeping the truth from him.
"Bianca and I--" Henry started as the woman's words edged Ray towards the exit, but his girlfriend butted in.
"No, it's okay. Seriously, I don't care that much about eating here and your boss really does so, have dinner with him." Bianca said graciously, her kindness melting everyone's anger. What a sweet girl.
"You sure?" Henry looked at her in shock.
"Sure she's sure! That's what sure people look like!" Ray squealed in happiness.
"Yeah, I'm sure." Bianca giggled at his antics and returned the gift card. She wasn't one for fancy restaurants anyway.
"Alright, man. Looks like we're having dinner here together." Henry told his boss with a grin, making him jump a little in excitement. He even gave (y/n) a grin and brief side hug. She was beyond relieved that his anger was fleeting.
"Me too?" Schwoz asked hopefully, but he had no chance of eating with them.
"The reservation is only for two." The maître d'hôtel clarified, making the little man contemplate his situation. He had nothing to lose so...
"Look, balloons!" He shouted and used the opportunity to run into the dining area and steal a steak before running out. The sneaky little...
"Hey, come back here!" A deep masculine voice called from the dining area and an alarmingly handsome chef ran into the lobby. Oh, god.
Tumblr media
"Well, well, well, I thought that you'd be here if there was trouble, (y/n) (y/l/n)." The chef spoke smoothly, his sudden appearance making (y/n) tense. He wasn't a bad person, just not someone she felt would integrate well with her closest friends.
"Hello, Jesse." She smiled warmly, stepping forwards to give him a quick hug that in Ray's eyes, lasted forever. His mouth turned dry and his face paled as this...guy took his girl into his arms and pressed his cheek into her shoulder, just like he did. His heart broke at how she seemed to fit into another man's arms so easily, a chef's no less. The chef at Montego's, the place he couldn't get into despite him being Captain Man. He felt so inferior, so unworthy, it just hurt so bad.
"You and your friends making all the ruckus out here? I could hear you lot in the kitchen." Jesse chuckled as his friend playfully hit his arm, not realising that the movement was like a stab to Ray's heart. She hit him like that, it wasn't special like it seemed and that made him feel...small.
"Yeah, this is Henry, Bianca, Schwoz and...Ray." She introduced them all, feeling nervous as she came to her protector. Jesse knew all about her love for him and she was praying he didn't say anything revealing or humiliating.
"Ah, the famous Ray Manchester. Pleased to meet you, man. (y/n)'s told me all about you." Jesse extended his hand for him to shake, the twinkle in his eye stemming from his amusement at finally meeting the man his friend had gushed about. The man who outshone all other guys in her eyes, the man she wanted so desperately but thought she could never have.
"Nice to meet you too, Jesse," Ray said curtly. He really didn't want to exchange niceties with the man who had taken his sweet girl on several dates to the restaurant he wanted to take her to. It felt like he was being mocked for being too late, Jesse had taken her heart before he could even make his move.
"Gentlemen, your table is ready." Bernard interrupted the tense moment as he tucked two menus under his arm. He really knew how to pick his moments.
"Ray, come on." Henry tugged on his boss's sleeve, hoping to avoid a fistfight between the two men since Ray had clearly labelled Jesse as a rival. Not that he actually had anything to worry about.
"You eating here tonight?" The handsome man smiled at Ray, clearly not bothered by the way the other man was brushing him off and acting tough. Jesse knew he didn't stand a chance against Ray, (y/n) had been chasing him for years and had no intention of stopping now. Not that he wanted to chase her, he saw her as a little sister.
"Yeah, we better go sit down." The superhero mustered all his manners to force out the sentence and allowed Henry to lead him away, but not before he heard the other man bid his best friend goodbye.
"I gotta get back to the kitchen. See ya later, sugar," Jesse said charmingly, which made Ray's blood boil and his stomach drop. Someone else had a pet name for her? He felt less and less important to her as each second revealed something new. How had he never seen this coming? Why hadn't she mentioned him? Had he kissed her—or worse? What did Jesse have that he didn't?
Why did she love him when he'd been waiting all along?
~10 minutes later~
"Dude, let it go, he's just a friend," Henry told Ray as a waiter placed some warm bread rolls in front of them.
"How do you know that? He hugged her and called her...a gross thing. What if she's dating him or if she likes him? God, I want her to be happy but not with that asshole. She's way too good for him..." The large man grumbled and ranted, his stomach still twisted in a jealous worry from (y/n)'s interactions with the head chef.
"Whoa, man, calm down. I just know that (y/n) doesn't see him that way." Henry insisted, trying to explain that the woman in question never looked at any other guys romantically. She had everything she wanted in Ray, but Henry couldn't tell him that; it would break every promise he'd ever made with her.
"Yeah, whatever. Anyway, you feel that? You feel that warm bread?" Ray diverted the topic. He didn't want to think about Jesse kissing and holding his girl anymore, he just wanted to drown his sorrows in a damn good meal before he was put off his meal.
"This is how bread should feel." Henry agreed, dropping the topic of Ray's jealously. For now.
'Right! Okay, ready?" The man asked, lining up his bread for tasting.
"Yeah." Henry nodded and they both took a bite out of their warm bread, the exquisite taste making them fall back with pleased groans.
"Hey, after we finish our steaks what do you wanna get for dessert? I think we should get more steak." Ray suggested, thinking that he might as well eat until he exploded since there was no point in him coming back here. The restaurant wasn't that special to him or (y/n) anymore.
"You want steaks for dessert?" The teen looked at him weirdly.
"What would you rather have? The chicken?" Ray teased, still not above poking fun at Henry's girlfriend.
"Okay, don't make fun of Bianca. She gave up her dinner for you." He said defensively. If he wanted, two could play at the girlfriend mocking game.
"I know! So stupid!" Ray giggled, irritating Henry further.
"I could just march to the kitchen and set (y/n) and Jesse up on a date, what'd you think about that?" Henry snapped, ceasing Ray's laughing. Okay, that was a bit mean but it worked. Ray couldn't bear the thought of his girl in another's arms, even if she chose them and not him. The heartache to have her was too much.
"Hey, that's not fair!" The large man whined, his heart twinging again at the thought of that stupid chef holding (y/n)'s hand over a table or feeding her pasta.
"Dude, I don't get how you can just--" Henry's reprimand was cut off by Ray shushing him as two people behind his sidekick caught his eye.
"What?" Henry asked, wondering what the superhero had seen.
"Okay, you remember two weeks ago, the robbery at that jewellery store?" Ray recalled.
"The robbers who stole that jewellery?" Well, that was a dumb question.
"Yeah. Their names are...(y/n) saved it somewhere...Ert Landers and Bernie Caldwell. They're right over there." Ray said, scrolling through the list of criminals his helper had downloaded onto his phone.
"For real?" Henry spluttered and gulped when the man gave him a sharp nod. Deciding that he had to see this for himself, Henry picked up his fork and "accidentally" dropped it on the floor. Turning around to pick it up, Henry got a good look at the two men sat at the table behind them and knew that it was definitely the two criminals.
"That is Ert and Bernie!" Henry confirmed, dropping his cutlery back on the table.
"I know. Punks! Hey, they're about to leave." Ray gasped as the men threw down a couple hundred dollars to pay for their meal.
"Well, that's our cue," Henry smirked and took out his gum tube, but his actions were slowed as he noticed Ray's slow, hesitant movements.
"Pop a gumball." The kid instructed, making his boss squirm in thought.
"But I haven't had my steak yet." He mewled, wanting to eat first then fight.
"They're criminals," Henry stated firmly.
"But I wanted my steak!" Ray whined, his childish side coming out again.
"Ray, pop a gumball in your mouth right now, or I'll call (y/n)." The boy threatened, knowing that the mention of the young woman would kick Ray's butt into action. And it did. Standing up together, they rounded the corner so they could transform away from prying eyes, just as a red-shirted waiter place their dinner on the table. Hoping to get a small nibble, Ray briskly walked back to the table and tried to take a bite, but Henry pulled him back to his duty. It was hero time.
Just as Ert and Bernie were standing up to leave, Captain Man and Kid Danger stood in the entrance arch, blocking their exit.
"Hey, Ert."
"And Bernie." Ray and then Henry quipped as the robbers paled at the sight of Swellview's greatest crime fighters.
"Aw, man." One of them groaned, knowing that they probably wouldn't get away from this.
"That's aw, Captain Man! Now, can you count from one to bam?" Ray asked them confidently, cracking his knuckles in preparation for a fight.
"I'll try. One---" Ert started to count, not realising what Ray was doing.
"Bam!" The superhero smashed his fist into the. criminal's face, sending him flying across a table as Henry swung at Bert. The diners looked on in horror as Bert tried to whack Kid Danger with a chair, thank god the kid was too quick for him.
Tackling him to the floor, Henry slapped his criminal with a piece of meat as Captain Man sat down to eat his steak whilst Ert groaned in pain. However, he couldn't cut through it quick enough, Ert was back on his feet before he could even savour a morsel.
Seeing that he had no choice but to fight, Ray ditched his knife and fork and gave Ert another punch to the jaw. He tried to eat another person's steak, but the criminal kept getting back up. Henry dusted himself off as he left Bernie on the floor and picked up a large pepper grinder from a table.
"Care for some fresh pepper?" He asked sarcastically before smacking the man on the head with it and grinding some of the burning granules into his eyes. Ouch. Seeing that Ert had his legs around Ray's neck, Kid Danger skidded over and freed his boss.
"Watch out!" Captain Man shouted at his sidekick as Bernie came over with the pepper grinder. Stopping him in his tracks, Henry twisted the man's arm around and then whacked him several times in the nose. As Ert rubbed his eyes, Ray grabbed a painting off the wall and cracked it over his skull, the canvas tearing from the blunt force. With a final show of his superhero strength, Captain Man pushed Ert into the wall, the guy collapsing in agony.
""I'd say that was a job...well done." Ray giggled with Henry as two cops arrived on the scene and took the criminals away.
"Take him away, boys. And now, some cow." Ray smirked at Henry and the two of them returned to their table, fully intending to finish their meals. But...
"Excuse me, Captain Man and Kid Danger." Bernard the host said as he stood next to their table.
"Uh-huh?"
"What's up, big guy?" The two superheroes asked nonchalantly, not seeing that they had a major problem.
"I'm sorry, but your names aren't on our dinner list and you can't eat here without an invitation." He told them, stopping their cutting as they stammered. They screamed in protest as a waiter came over and dumped their dinners into a bowl and took it away.
"WHY?" Looks like they were going steakless tonight.
~Back in the Man Cave~
Schwoz was sat at the couch table, reading a random magazine as he waited for Henry and Ray to return. (y/n) had gone out about fifteen minutes before, intent on seeking a way to brighten up Ray's crappy evening. The man in question and his sidekick came down the tubes with grumpy faces, feeling like they'd been cheated out of their food.
"Hi. How were your steaks?" The genius asked kindly, unknowingly rubbing salt into their wounds.
"You better shut your mouth, Schwoz, you better shut your dirty mouth," Ray growled as he walked across the Man Cave.
"Geez!" Schwoz recoiled at his mean words as Ray sat down at the computer and rubbed his forehead tiredly. He needed his happy girl, where was she?
"Why are you still wearing that dress?" Henry looked at the little guy with a confused expression.
"Cause, it's so comfortable and I like how the cool air blows up in here." Schwoz shook his hips and twirled around so the skirt fanned out.
"Hey, you wanna go to Backout Steakhouse?" Henry asked his boss, who was exceedingly moody since he'd been robbed of a steak dinner and didn't have his girl nearby.
"No, I wanna go to Montego's!" He snapped in a tetchy voice.
"Schwoz, where's (y/n)? He's being moody again." He called to the small man at the couch, but he just shrugged in response.
"She's not here. She went out." He replied dryly as he flicked through the magazine again, his words making Ray groan again. She was probably out being wooed by that dumb Jesse guy knowing his luck. Shit, why did that idea hurt so much?
"We can't get steak from Monetgo's." Henry reminded him, thinking about how he would now have to handle this child trapped in a man's body.
"W-what is that? Is that? Do you know what this is?" Ray gasped all of sudden and plucked a piece of meat from Henry's tunic.
"Steak." The boy answered obviously, not seeing the correlation or importance of one tiny bite of meat.
"From Montego's!" Ray squealed as he held the precious piece between his index finger and thumb.
"Whoa, it must've fallen down here when we were fighting Ert and Bernie." Henry smiled as he remembered being covered in a load of food.
"I know! Can I have it?" Ray asked the boy after sniffing the savoury meat and loving its smoky scent.
"Can we split it?" Henry asked back, knowing that a fifty-fifty split would be fair. Ray stared at him intensely as he contemplated his proposal. Maybe it would work.
~~
With the cardboard waiter taped back together, Ray and Henry sat down at the little table again. With the chunk of steak cut in half, Ray served them both a slice, the whole situation feeling cutely depressing.
Skewering each piece with their forks, Henry and Ray took a moment to examine their tiny mouthful with a magnifying glass. They chinked their cutlery and ate their steak cubes. Damn, that was good steak, well, it was while it lasted.
"Wanna go to Backout Steakhouse?" Henry reiterated his question from earlier as the moment was over all too quickly. Yeah, it tasted amazing, but he was hardly satisfied after some a meagre chunk, he just wanted food now.
"Yeah, I guess." Ray sighed and the two stood up to go to the elevator. A crap steak was better than no steak, right?
However, the elevator door slid open before they could even press the button and a rosy-cheeked woman stepped out: (y/n).
"Hey, guys." She greeted them in a slightly breathless voice, her energy being sapped by the numerous, heavy bags of takeout food she had walked home with. Well, well, well, what did she have there?
"Hey, what you got there?" Henry asked in confusion whilst Ray stepped forward to take the bags off her. She chuckled slightly as her best friend took the bags to the table and peeked inside, her laughter increasing as he recognised the logo printed on the takeout cartons.
"It's—it's food...from Montego's." He stuttered out and snapped his gaze to his flushed best friend. Did she get food for him? How?
"What? For real?" Henry gasped and dashed over to look in the bags himself, exclaiming in delight as his boss pulled out several boxes of steak dinners with perfect fillets and all the trimmings to boot. Ray couldn't believe it, after all his brattiness, she'd spent her own money on what looked like a very expensive round of takeout, just for him and her friends. Sweet girl...
"I didn't know Montego's did takeout." Schwoz frowned as he was given his food, everyone's hearts fluttering when they saw how she'd gone above and beyond just to make them smile.
"They don't." Ray breathed out, making the young woman nervously scratch the back of her neck. This shouldn't have been possible, no one got the leftovers from the restaurant, not even those who offered to pay for it. Doggie bags were so common and distasteful, plus, some unscrupulous people might sell their leftovers on for a profit—that's just how popular Montego's was.
"Well, I had to pull a few strings with Jesse, but luckily, a lot of food wasn't served after Captain Man and Kid Danger had a brawl in the restaurant. So, he gave most of it to me." She smiled, Ray gulping slightly at the mention of him. He wasn't sure if he wanted to eat something from that guy and he shuddered at the thought of (y/n) seeing him again.
"And the easy clean up meant that he could go home to Angela early, so it's a win-win for everyone." She added on the end, freezing Ray's inner panic. She couldn't mean...could she?
"Angela?" He asked in a small voice whilst Henry plated up all the food with Schwoz. He figured it was best for (y/n) to explain everything jow so they could fall back into being all loved-up and gross.
"Yeah, Angela. I went to school with her. She's Jesse's finacée, that's how I know him--" She was cut off when the superhero dragged her into a tight hug, his arms returning to their natural home around her waist.
"Sweet girl, I'm sorry for being so damn horrible earlier." He mumbled into her neck, feeling so stupid that he had judged her friend before he knew him. He couldn't help it; in his view, every man could see how perfect she was and that terrified him.
"You were pretty grumpy. But I know you and I know that you were just upset." She replied quietly, burying her fingers into his soft hair. She loved being in his embrace, it just felt like home.
"And I'm sorry for not telling you the truth about me going to Montego's." The young woman apologised too, her chest feeling so much lighter now they'd aired their grievances.
"You don't need to apologise." He reassured her as they pulled with gentle smiles on their faces.
"Do you want some steak?" She asked him in a cheeky tone, her tongue poking out to wet her lips, making Ray burn with desire. He had lost count of the times he'd dreamt of tasting those lips and exploring the depth of her. God, he was sure no man would ever love her and take his time with her the way he would. She was a goddess and she deserved to be worshipped.
"Of course." He answered calmly, letting her lead him to the table where the hot food was plated and ready to be eaten. He couldn't help but smile at the scene.
She was the heart of his little family: Charlotte, his little sister, his friend, Schwoz, his little brother, Henry, and his love, (y/n). She was the centre of everything he had built and everything he adored, she just didn't know it yet.

“Oh, Moana.” Rin nodded upon pulling up a movie, turning to his boyfriend. “Wanna watch it?”
It was the weekend, soft little taps of rain bouncing off the roof of their apartment as the boys curled up  beneath a large blanket. Rin had suggested a movie despite Haru’s drooping eyes, reassuring him that he’d wake him up when it was over.
“Hm…” Haru blinked at the screen, reading the title. It was some sort of animation; a daring girl holding an oar stood with an enormous man holding some sort of bone sword. Behind and around them were waves upon waves of water. It looked, admittedly, quite lovely.
All the more reason not to watch it. “Let’s watch something else.”
“Why? I think Rei mentioned this one- he said it’s good.” Rin pressed, waving a hand at the screen. “You know how picky he is about movies. High praise from him is usually a good sign.”
“Animations are usually sad though.” Haru pointed out. “You’ll probably start crying halfway in.”
“First of all, not all animations are tear jerkers, and second of all- the hell you mean I’ll start crying?” Rin fumed. “I don’t cry.”
“Yes you do. You cry all the time during movies.”
“Name one-”
“Up.”
“T-That was a cheap shot-”
“Spirited away, Howl’s Moving Castle, that one Barbie movie-”
“Don’t bring up the Barbie movie!” Rin threw a pillow at him, cheeks red. “That was ONE time! Gou made me watch it with her!” Haru’s only response was a soft snort. “Gah, whatever! I’m not gonna cry. This time, I’ll be dry eyed and unmoved.” With that, Rin turned back to the movie, hitting play.
Haru shimmied back into his nest of blanket, the opening visuals inviting and warm. As the first character introduced began to speak, Haru reflected back on his friends.
Rei had said this movie in particular was amazing.
His eyes were also red though.
~~~
Unsurprisingly- Rei’s taste in movies was spot on.
As the ending credits rolled across the screen, Haru was surprised to find himself still awake. He had planned on napping through the film. When he blinked, his eyes were alarmingly misty, a noticeable lump settled in his throat.
“Oh…” Rin sniffed, balled up tissues littered around him as he dabbed his red eyes. “That was so good! God, I love movies.”
“So much for not crying.” Haru joked, nodding to the mess. Rin rolled his eyes, looking away as he wiped his face clean.
“Shut up. Fine, fine, I cry during movies. Still- I saw you tearing up too!” Rin pointed out- literally. He reached out and poked Haru’s arm in emphasis. “You were just as weepy as me during that one number.”
“I wasn’t…” Okay; maybe Haru did tear up a little during the Ancestor song. “At least I wasn’t blubbering like a whale the entire time.”
“Ha, funny.” Rin snorted, poking Haru again, this time in the ribs. “Deny it all you want- you loved it!”
“I never said I didn’t.” Haru grunted when Rin poked him again. “Stop it-”
“Why? You’re looking a little sad over there Haru. Let’s fix you up!” The redhead grinned, all shark teeth as he poked again and again, making the brunette squirm.
Oh, so this is how he wanted to play huh? Very well.
“Rin-” Another poke to the waist made him shiver. “I swear to god-” A poke to the belly this time, making him giggle. “Stop it!” He scooted away, just out of Rin’s reach. “There.”
Rin- being Rin, shot his foot out and poked Haru with it. “There!”
This motherfu-
“Can’t get away now, can you Haru?” Rin snickered as he continued to poke and prod at the other. Little did he know this was all Haru’s secret plan. “Let’s see that smi-AH!”
“Sorry, what was that?” Haru asked, a hand clutching Rin’s ankle while the other scribbled into his socked foot, making the redhead flail about. “I couldn’t hear you over the sound of my victory.”
“Hahahhahhahharuuhuhuhu yoohohohohou ahahahhahahhass!” Rin yelped through his chrotles, squirming this way and back as he struggled to pull his foot free. “Stahhahahahahp ihiihihiht!”
“Why?”
“Behehehehehhecahaahhahhause!”
“Because why?” Haru moved to his knees, making Rin squawk with laughter.
“It TIIHIIHIIHIHIHICKLES!”
“Oh does it now?” The brunette squeezed Rin’s thigh, a soft smile on his lips as he watched Rin explode with mirth. “I couldn’t tell- you were laughing so much earlier; I just assumed you were thinking about the movie.”
“HAHAHHAHAHRUUHUHUUHU!” Rin shrieked, cheeks as red as his hair and eyes squeezed shut with mirth. Feeling somewhat merciful, Haru temporarily stopped tickling him, watching Rin gasp for breath. “Ahehehe…hehehe..hehe..yohoohu suhuhuhck.”
“Rude. And just when I was about to go easy on you.” Haru mock tsked, his hands gliding up to Rin’s ribs, hovering. “Hey- I bet I can make you sound like the chicken in the movie.”
“Heihei-HEHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!” Rin did in fact squawk like the chicken, the snorts and wheezes from earlier booming out of his lips like crashes of waves. He gripped Haru’s wrists loosely, half heartedly shoving at his boyfriend as he cackled. “STAHAHHHAHHAAP PLEHAHHAHAHAHSE!”
“Heh, okay okay.” Haru tittered softly, finally pulling his hands back for good. Just as he was starting to retreat, Rin pulled him into his chest, wrapping his arms tightly around him. “Ha! Goohohohtcha!”
“Rin, let me go.” It was more an automatic response than anything. Haru let himself ease into his boyfriend’s chest, smiling as he listened to the other’s slowly regulating heartbeat.
“Never. I’ll never let you go.” Rin squeezed him gently, getting comfortable as he stroked Rin’s hair. “Your heart is mine, as mine is yours.”
“You're so cheesy.” Haru breathed out, his earlier drowsiness returning suddenly.
“Heh, you love me.”
He really did.
I hope this was good!
Okay so you know the guy in Black Friday that plays the evil one with the apple?
What's his name
Because I swear to God I've seen him in a Disney Channel show but I don't know WHAT and it's just fucking ANNOYING ME AT THIS POINT so I've decided I'm gonna just LOOK IT UP because I can't TAKE IT ANYMORE
Ok, so what are the odds, you're actually absolutely right.
That's uncle wiley/Wilbur cross, played by Joey Richter, who also played officer petey from Jesse. He was also the time jerker from Henry danger over on nick, which a lot of people took notice to, since it reminded them of one of Joey's hatchetfield characters.
