A/N - YES! I love this request for Cassian! Of course, I'll write this for you, dear friend! One slight change, not one bed with one tent ;)
Found
Summary - Cassian wants to take you away for the weekend.
Tumblr media
Warnings - Just some fluff!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was the sound of splashing that woke you up from your slumber.
The rays of the morning sun peaking over the high mountains touched the outside of your tent, the crisp air that was whistling brushed against your skin as you woke up fully.  Breathing in deeply and inhaling most of the pine trees that surrounded your campsite.  Those morning sounds filling your ears were soft, much softer compared to the bustling city of Velaris.  It was what you and your mate needed, especially after all that you went through with the recent battle against Hybern.
Cassian had the best idea for you two to unwind.
Another round of splash echoed into your tent as you sat up from your sleeping bag and looked over to where his sleeping bag was.  It was empty, halfway zipped down and some of his pajamas were sprawled out on the ground.  You had to laugh from the site, Cassian was never one to be a relaxed sleeper. He could sprawl out in your shared bed if he could, if it wasn’t for you being next to him.  His preference would be loose limbs and his wings hanging off the bed, and perhaps he was used to sleeping like that for centuries before you came along.
You shook out his world from the inside out.
Blinking and squinting a bit, you poked your head out of the tent opening to see the massive view that was unfolded in front of you.  A massive lake, nestled in a clearing that was right in front of two massive mountains with high peaks.  The sun rays cut through the top points, pouring down onto the lake to give the blues and green mixed in the water some life.  The tall trees lining the back of the lake swayed in the wind, but your eyes moved to the one thing that was moving in the lake, splashing himself with his backside to you and his wings spread out.
Your mate and fiancé, Cassian.
He wanted to take you away for a few days, out of the city and out of the chaos that came after the Battle that almost took everything you both held dear.  Cassian had too much on his own plate when he had to lead the Illryian soldiers into battle, some of them were new recruits and barely had any experience.  You on the other hand had to help the citizens in Velaris and keep them safe, finding shelters for them to hide and get some of the citizens who could fight to stay and defend the town.
So much happened that day, plenty of heartbreak and close calls that made you both beyond glad that the other were safe. Cassian searched for you as soon as the dust cleared and the battle was over, covered in blood on his leathers and in his dark hair as he flew to the city in search for you.  Frantically, he was worried that you were lost as well, not feeling you through the bond in certain moments during the battle. But he found you near the beach, consoling some of the women and children who were almost killed.
You two collided into a massive hug, refusing to let the other go.
Cassian whisked you back to the House of Wind, you both washing each other down in the shower before falling into bed together with such fire and passion, solely because you two knew you were so close to loosing one another.  Cassian mapped you body with his hands, never wishing to forget how your body felt under this fingers and against his own body.   You let him, understanding that this was how he wished to love you and to make sure you were engraved with his mind.
A week later, the city was now settling down and building itself back up again, Cassian decide to take you on a small camping trip.  He knew of a lake that was a hidden hideaway from the public, only a select few knew about it including Rhysand and his wife Feyre.  Cassian thought the lake and being in nature would help you two get back into the right frame of mind, maybe a reset within yourselves.
So you two packed your backpacks, Cassian reassuring you to keep your own back light since he would have his pack carry the heavy load, and you two hiked.  It would have been easier for him to fly you two, but it felt right to simply hike, to take your time and simply walk together.  Cassian never one let go of your hand, and your never once left his side.
It only took you a few hours until you made it to the campsite, and it beyond perfect.
“Morning sleepy head!” You heard from the lake, Cassian turning around to face you with a massive grin on his face.  You had to smile widely from seeing your mate, bare from the waist up since the rest was underwater, and his wings extended behind him in massive glory.  But you are looking at his face, seeing the pure bliss in his smile that showed all of his teeth and the brightness in his eyes.  Even from your spot, you saw the love and peace in his eyes, something you thought would be lost because of the war.
It never will be, not with Cassian.
“Come swim with me!” He called out, his voice echoing off the lake surface as you shook your head.
“Must be freezing, Cas!” You countered, but he shrugged.
“Good way to wake yourself up on a great morning like this.  Come on, sweetheart, for me?” He asked, batting his eyelashes a bit as you saw what he was doing. Cassian knew how to talk, whether it was in leadership role as the Commander of the Illyrian army, or casually with his brothers during one of their dinners together.  Yet with you, he was sweet and playful, making you think of young love.  Cassian never liked to have it all serious, his light spirit and playful heart drew you in instantly when you two met and fell in love.
You finally stepped out of the tent and stretched your back, groaning in relief from being on the ground all night.  Digging your toes into the sand below you, you looked out in front of your again to see your mate watching you with love on his face.  This was what you two needed, even sharing a tiny little tent together and wrangling up your own meals with your bare hands, it was better than wallowing back in Velaris.  There was no one else that seemed to be wanting to do something like this with their mate.  Rhsyand would never even wish to get his own hands dirty, Azriel was more prone to having his own complete isolation with his spy missions.  But Cassian?
This was perfect.
“Come on and join me, I’ll warm you up!” Cassian teased as you chuckled and walked over to the shoreline, dipping a toe into the water and shivering from feeling how cold it was.  Then again, being able to share this morning with Cassian seemed too good to pass up.  With anyone else, you wouldn’t have done it. Maybe shrugging it off and thinking it was far too silly.  But with your mate, the joy he brought in your life and the pure love that came from it, you would.
So you did.  Taking off one layer at a time until you were bare and waddling into the water.
Shiver as you went, the water was getting higher and higher around you as you were finally only submerged from the stomach up.  Since Cassian was.a bit taller than you, he stood over you as you peered up at him, naked as the day you are born and smiling at him in the same way you smile when you two first met.  Cassian reached up, his wet hands framing your face and having you shiver from the contact, as he scanned your eyes.
Perhaps he was finding the love there again that he thought was lost when the battle happened.  He knew you were hurting and you were in pain, wishing to find a way to mend you back together.  Back to the young girl he knew and loved, to the young fan that showed him what true love was.  Now, seeing you looking up at him with no shame or no sense of regret, he found the love again.
“Hello you,” You hummed to him, feeling him lean down to barely graze his nose against yours before his lips could kiss yours.
“Hello to you too,” He murmured, kissing your soundly and making you smile against his lips.  This trip made you find each other again, and there was no there direction to go than forward.
Together.
The End

Yessss!!! Here for the angst 😍 how about Cassian and number 16?
Cassian x Reader angsty drabble
Prompt 16: "You turned my world around, and you crushed it."
Warnings - infidelity
Part 2
Tumblr media
You two were sat at the table, words no longer passing between you as your wedding ring sat centered on the furniture you had picked for your home.
The home you built together over 300 years. The home you two hoped to raise children in. The home you two had a nursery already built in.
"Just tell me why," your voice broke with the question as tears began to fall again.
Cassian's jaw twitched as he looked away from you. "Sweetheart, I don't know. It was an accident."
You chuckled heavily and sighed, feeling as if he had just insulted you. "An accident is forgetting our anniversary. An accident is not picking up the dry cleaning because you forgot."
You looked up, trying to blink away tears. "An accident is not fucking our High Lady's sister while your mate is pregnant at home praying to the Mother you come home from war."
Cassian nodded. "I did not mean to hurt you."
"But you did," you said softly. "You laid with another female knowing I was here waiting for you. Knowing we were here waiting."
"I-"
You interrupted him. "From day one in this relationship, you made me feel loved, safe, and secure. You protected me from the males you were hurting me, you saved me from my father's wrath, and you convinced me we would not make our parents mistakes and that we should have a baby despite knowing my fears. You turned my world around, and you crushed it. You crushed everything we built, everything we've worked for, and the world of an innocent life just to get your cock wet and fuck a female who hates you."
"We can fix this," his hand shot for yours, and you immediately ripped it away. "I can fix this," he corrected, his voice and eyes pleading. "Y/n, please. Let me fix this."
You stood up, passing him that ring that sat on your finger for years. "I'm sorry, Cassian, but there's no fixing it this time. Please pack your things and get out of the house." You turned to walk away and go upstairs as the tears freely fell.
"Y/n, please. I love you."
You paused, feeling the truth behind that flooding the bond. You released a shaky breath, knowing you were making the right choice. "Rhys and Azriel are coming to help you, please get out of my house."

Misunderstandings - (Cassian x Reader)
Hiiii! A little piece for @writingsbychlo and @azsazz brilliant idea of Starfall Week!
The prompt I used was: Character A has been waiting alone for an hour and Character B is nowhere to be seen.
This was fun to write! I hope you like it, and Happy Starfall Week!
Word count: 1968
Warnings: None.
✧: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・゚✧・
He wasn’t coming.
Cassian clearly wasn’t coming, and you felt fucking stupid.
I’ll meet you by the clock tower at eleven, was what he’d said. Eleven had come and gone, the chimes booming above your head. The Starfall celebrations had promptly swept through Velaris, and you — here you were stood, waiting for someone who you should have known would never give you the time of day.
You knew Cassian to be swaggering and cocky and teasing; the Mother knew, you’d seen that side to him more than any other since he’d come into your family’s store and asked why he’d never seen you before. His visits had become more frequent over the last month and a half, and when he’d asked you to meet him on Starfall, your stomach had flipped and sang like the damn skies above you currently were.
But perhaps it was all a cruel joke. Perhaps Cassian had never been interested in you at all. You hadn’t met his Inner Circle, but you knew how greatly they celebrated the holiday. Of course he wouldn’t want to meet you on Starfall.
Your arms chilled by the air, you felt like nothing but a fool as you descended the stone steps of the clock tower and began your walk back to your home. You’d bought this dress especially for tonight, a pretty cream number that you thought made you look delicate and soft. You certainly didn’t feel delicate and soft as you tore your heels from your feet and carried them as you walked, bare soles slapping the pavement.
You were almost back at your little cottage when you caught the sound you’d so eagerly awaited earlier — the thunderous boom of wings above you. You didn’t even bother looking up at the sky, knowing that whichever of the Illyrian males it was would be by your side before you had a chance to clock them. Perhaps Cassian had been a true fucking coward and sent Rhysand or Azriel to let you down gently on his behalf. Gods, you hoped not. You weren’t sure you could deal with the humiliation. You turned into your street—
And stumbled to a stop to avoid barrelling into the figure that swooped down, landing in front of you.
Cassian grinned. Grinned, and shook the wind from his hair. “That was close.”
You stared at him, your lips not even slightly twitching into a smile. Your face was entirely deadpan as you took in the clothes he’d swapped his usual Illyrian leathers for — the fitted burgundy shirt and dark breeches. His hair was left down about his face, and he looked…playful. Damn handsome, but playful.
Too bad you felt anything but playful in that moment.
Cassian’s eyes swept over you, then, and his grin softened into something different. You’d be forgiven for thinking it was a little coy, flustered. “You look stunning.”
“Thank you.” Your response was clipped. You stepped past him, beginning your walk once more.
“Uh…” Footsteps approached you from behind, and he was darting into your path again. “Where are you going?”
“Home.”
“We agreed to meet.”
Finally, you stopped. Finally, you allowed your eyes to meet his hazel ones. A look of pure confusion shadowed his face.
“We agreed to meet almost an hour ago, Cassian.” You said. “I got cold and tired of waiting.”
“Hey, I’m sorry I was late.” He stepped towards you, his brow furrowing. “I was just…sorting something out. Time ran away with me.”
“Sorting something out.”
He nodded.
You shrugged. “What were you sorting out?”
“…I can’t tell you—”
You cut him off with a sigh, stepping past him again. You weren’t doing this — couldn’t do this. He could return to his friends and laugh at your expense if he wanted, but you were going home.
“Hey, wait.” He grabbed your hand. “Y/N, will you stop?”
“No, Cassian, you stop. I’m not playing your little games. You can find some other female to do that. I know it doesn’t make any fucking sense for you to like me, but I genuinely like you, so kindly leave my feelings alone.”
Your impassioned speech had utterly silenced him. He blinked at you, realisation seeming to wipe the confusion from his face. He studied you once more, frowning.
“Is that what you think?” He asked. “That I’m pretending to like you as some sort of joke?”
You shrugged, lifting your chin. Refusing to flush with humiliation. “You may have only noticed my existence in the last month or so, Cassian, but I’ve seen you around Velaris for years. You have a type — I am the furthest thing from that type. And I am perfectly comfortable with my soft stomach and thick thighs and all the other things I’m expected not to like about myself. That doesn’t mean I’m going to allow those things to be the butt of the joke for the High Lord’s general.”
You pushed past him again, but he was having none of it. He yanked you back to him, both gentle and firm. “You are way out of line, Y/N. You couldn’t be more wrong.”
“I’ve had my fair share of run-ins with males like you, Cassian—”
“Males like me?” He stared down at you. “Bastard-born brutes? A nobody with the title of Warlord slapped above his head? Don’t make assumptions about me, sweetheart, because you couldn’t be more wrong.”
You held his gaze, searching the sincerity in his eyes. Perhaps you were being unfair — perhaps you had jumped the gun a bit. You just…you’d been taken for a fool too many times. And you liked Cassian so much that you didn’t think you could take it from him.
You lowered your gaze, glancing down at your feet, but his warm, callused hand was gently gripping your face and forcing your eyes back to his.
“Don’t group me in with those assholes that have treated you that way. Please. I’m not them.” His voice was far softer, gentle. “I like everything about you. Especially your soft stomach and thick thighs. I like you so fucking much, and that is why I asked you to meet me tonight. Because Starfall is special to me, and I think—I think you might be, too.”
Guilt sliced at you as you stared up at him. You definitely should have listened to him before making assumptions. You relaxed your body, showed him that you were open.
“I’m sorry I was late.” He said again. “I said I couldn’t tell you why because I didn’t want to spoil the surprise. I wanted to show you. If you’ll let me.”
You sighed softly. “Of course I’ll let you. I’m sorry, Cass—”
“Don’t worry about that. Just…do you trust me?”
Yes, you realised, you did. You nodded.
He smiled, lacing your fingers together. “Just a quick flight, and you’ll see why I was late.”
He was already lifting you up into his arms. You blinked, glancing up at the sky. “Is this safe? With all those stars zipping about?”
Cass smirked down at you. “It is — so long as you don’t fly too high. It’s a damn beautiful sight, too.”
Before you had a chance to consider, he was holding you tight to him and launching into the air, your scream swallowed by the wind. Your nails dug into him as you buried into his chest, vaguely aware of the whooshing above you — the sound of passing stars.
“I didn’t know you were afraid of heights.”
“Yes, well, some of us are used to being on the ground.” You cracked an eye open, daring a look. “And stop smirking.”
“You’re not even looking at me.”
“I can tell.”
A great, booming laugh left him as he swooped and glided with expert ease. You couldn’t bring yourself to drink in more than a few glimpses at the iridescent trails of light that exploded around you. You clung tight to Cassian’s firm body, burying into his shoulder.
“I’m going to land now.” He warned you. “Just a heads-up.”
You felt your stomach flip as he banked hard, the sensation of falling making you want to scream right into his ear. But it was over within seconds, Cassian executing a flawless landing that you barely felt as his feet planted on the ground.
You didn’t let go. Didn’t look up.
“…we’re back on solid ground, Y/N.” He squeezed you. “You can let go. Not that I’m complaining.”
“I’m not sure I can.”
A soft laugh was breathed against your hair, and you felt him peeling your hands from his body and setting you down on the ground. You swayed, feeling your legs wobble. Cassian was clearly trying not to laugh as he steadied you.
You scowled. “Sorry that we’re not all overgrown bats accustomed to flying.”
“I’m sorry.” He grinned. “You just look so wide-eyed and bewildered. Like a little squirrel, or something.”
“Just show me where you’ve taken me, bat-boy.”
Within seconds, it was as though all the swaggering cockiness had leached from his body. He seemed to steel himself with a calming breath, and then he was stepping aside, exposing you to the view before you.
“This is why I was late.” He said quietly, grabbing your hand.
You sucked in a gasp. Words completely failed you as you drank in the sight of the private hilltop viewpoint he’d created for the two of you. Faelights flickered and glowed around piles of blankets and cushions, and there was food — far more food than was necessary for two people. Plates and plates of fruits and cheeses and meats and desserts. And bottles of juices and wines, with two chalices set beside them.
Your lips parted, you angled yourself towards Cassian. “I…you did all this?”
He swallowed nervously, nodding and rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. “Do you like it?”
“Cass, I—this is amazing.”
You went to take a step forward, but he stopped you, gently tugging you back by your hand. He turned you to face him, and your eyes met, him staring down at you and you up at him. His thumb brushed the back of your palm in gentle sweeps as he swallowed again.
“I…really like you, Y/N.” He said quietly, a soft pink hue touching his cheeks. “Since the day I walked into your family’s store, I haven’t stopped thinking about you. That was why I wanted to do this — to show you that you’re special to me.”
Your mouth went dry. And all you’d done was jump to conclusions and accused him of being an asshole. With a frown, you stepped closer, snaking your arms around his waist. He immediately folded you into him, pressing his chin atop of your head.
“I’m sorry, Cass.” You murmured, tilting your head back to look up at him. “Really — I am. Thank you. This is…nobody has ever done anything like this for me before.”
“Well.” He smiled softly. “I’m honoured to be the first. Maybe I’ll be the only one.”
You truly hoped so. Nothing but pure, unadulterated love shot through you as you pushed up onto the tips of your toes and kissed him. You loved him. You fucking loved Cassian.
He kissed you back for a moment, cupping your cheek. And then he gently peeled his lips from yours, smiling. “Want to eat while watching the stars?”
You nodded vigorously, taking his hand in yours. “Anything with you.”
As he led you over to the blankets and cushions, you heard the distant boom of the Velaris clock tower chiming twelve, and the burst of stars colliding above you.
Cassian sat, pulling you onto his lap, and stardust rained down on you as you ate and talked and laughed.
The most memorable Starfall you’d ever had. One of many to come, you hoped.

Is There A Problem, Officer?
happy day 6 of @nestaarcheronweek, and happy birthday Nesta! I hope you all enjoy this… not so quiet birthday party 😉
Summary: Nesta wanted to celebrate her twenty-sixth birthday quietly, but her friends had… other ideas.
Word Count: 3k
♕♕♕♕♕
Nesta
“Happy birthday, Nesta!” Elain and Feyre said in unison as Nesta opened her townhouse door.
“Thank you,” Nesta replied, pleased to see her sisters. Elain had come bearing cake and Feyre had come bearing alcohol, both of them just as welcome as her sisters’ faces. “And thanks for coming.”
Nesta was turning twenty-six today, and instead of going out and getting drunk with her friends, she’d decided to do something a little more lowkey. She’d quickly learned twenty-five was the age her body had decided to turn on her, and she wasn’t exactly keen to repeat the vicious hangover she’d survived last year.
So instead of getting all dressed up and hitting the town, she’d decided to do something much more relaxed. She’d invited her sisters and some close friends over to order in some food, drink some wine, and otherwise have a good time ringing in Nesta’s birthday. Everyone had been more than willing to go along with it — even Feyre, who was always chomping at the bit to do something more exciting — but Nesta had been looking forward to seeing the people she cared about too much to really question it.
“Like we’d miss your birthday,” Feyre replied as she and Elain walked inside, somehow managing to shut the door behind her without dropping anything. “Even if it’s not as exciting as last year.”
“Sorry I don’t want to spend the next morning puking my guts out again,” Nesta answered as they made their way to the kitchen, rolling her eyes. Feyre’s boyfriend at the time had been surprisingly willing to come take care of her, so she’d been spared most of the aftermath.
“As the person holding your hair back, I’m a big fan of your decision,” Elain agreed with a little laugh. “No offense, Nesta.”
“None taken,” Nesta responded, snorting. She helped Feyre and Elain unload their goodies and the three of them took a few minutes to properly arrange everything on the counter. “Okay, that’s fine for now. Come say hi to everyone else.”

Rebel captain and “War’s End” kiss? 💛
He’s been looking for her since the news broke on Endor.
The Emperor is defeated, the ashes of the second Death Star streak the sky. The Empire is undone.
They’ve won. They’ve won.
Cassian has run blindly past every kind of celebration imaginable, every species in the Rebellion screaming, laughing, hugging, kissing, crying, dancing. Even he’s been dragged into several lunatic dances, kisses pressed to his cheeks; a particularly enthusiastic Wookie matriarch picked up him bodily off the ground and spun him around.
But he hasn’t seen Jyn. Hasn’t found her yet. They had to be split up; he and Bodhi were a part of the pilots who took on the second Death Star; she was on the ground in Endor. He’d hated it, but he knew Jyn would insist on being a part of the Endor team. She wouldn’t miss the chance to make sure the defenses were lowered, to make certain they had the clearest shot. She would not let there be another Death Star. He knew it, and he’d pressed kiss after kiss to her hands before she boarded the shuttle on Home One. Not even caring who saw.
They’ve done it, they’ve won, they need to disessemble the Empire and all it’s networks, there’s officials that need to be put on trial, deals that need to be cut—
He can deal with all of that later once he finds Jyn.
In the end, just like always, she finds him.
Someone crashes into him from the side and he automatically braces them both from falling, and he looks to see Jyn, her cheeks still streaked from camouflage paint, still wearing her helmet. He barely has time to catalogue these details before Jyn grabs his face and drags him down to her height, kissing him with such ferocity he actually feels her teeth before her lips. He doesn’t hesitate, just wraps his arms around her waist and lifts her off the ground so their faces are level. The celebrations continue on around them unabated; Jyn’s legs lock around his waist. It’s total pandemonium and he barely registers any of it. Nothing but Jyn’s mouth on his, her body pressed against his.
Their lips taste like salt, he realizes, and wonders who’s weeping, him or her, or both. Or even if it matters.
“We won,” she says into his mouth, barely any space between them. She’s practically snarling it. “We won. We won.”
Jyn’s face is streaked with tears and sweat; no blood, thankfully. He clutches her closer to him and says, “I know, I know, I know. We won. Mi vida, we won.”
The job’s not done, their work isn’t finished, but the sky is clear and statues are being toppled on other planets. Chains being stricken off. The axe forgot, but the tree remembered, and now? There’s a forest.

Summary: You loved wedding, especially the kind that let's you bring a "date"
Tumblr media
Warnings: Some nice fluff
-------------------------------------------
You loved weddings. There was something in the air when two people are deciding to wed and get together. You didn't know if it was the free alcohol or the guests dressed elegantly, or maybe it was the romantic mood during the ceremony when the couple exchanged their vows, the love in their eyes and in the voices. Weddings were so fun to go to, and the current one you were attending was no exception.
You sat in the third row of chairs during the mating ceremony, which was almost a wedding ceremony at the same time. That was unique in itself, since the wedding would be first and then the mating ceremony would sometime after. But the couple wanted it both at the same time, not wanting to wait a pinch longer than they should. You knew them both very well to know that they were impatient when it came to something like this. So you smiled widely as the Priestess was reciting the words, the two lovers in font of her and holding hands between them and grinning widely. They were prefect with one another: A Valkeryie warrior and a Shadow Singer
Azriel and Gwyn.
Azriel had only two Groomsman by his side, just as Gwyn had two bridesmaids by hers. Rhysand, the High Lord of Night Court was the Best Man, fitting the roll perfectly and looking rather poised in his spot next to the groom. On his other side was the commander of the Illryian army, a tall brooding man with his lengthy hair pulled back in a low bun and a styled beard that was trimmed. Cassian, a fierce warrior and a smooth talker at that. He had a smirk on his face, looking at his friend proudly as he was getting married and wearing his own suit with pride and his wing tucked behind him.
The groomsman looked over at him briefly, seeing you sitting with the High Lady Feyre and her son Nyx who was settled on her lap. You felt your stomach lurch a bit, his bright eyes finding yours and smolder on his face and lips. You just smiled back, hearing the Priestess finish the last of the ceremony and recite the last words that were needed to seal the union. Cassian looked back in time to see Azriel and Gwyn finally kiss, the rest of the guests in attendance clapping and cheering.
You clapped too, feeling Feyre nudge you by her elbow and give you a knowing look. You just smiled at her and shrugged.
------------------------------------------------------------
The reception was held at The House of Wind, a cluster of guests were left towards the tail end of the reception since the rest left for the night. There were maybe 6 more guests left, mostly the Inner Circle of Night Court as they were surrounding the newly married couple and offering their congratulations to them. Rhysand took out the best wine, giving the newlyweds the first glasses and then passing out the rest. You were talking with Armen and Mor, two close friends of yours.
"Took those tow long enough to get together," Mor said in a dreamy sigh, looking over at Azriel and Gwyn, who was sitting in his lap on a lounge chair as they were hearing a story from Cassian. You looked too, seeing Cassian using his hands and having an animated face while he already took off his suite jacket and unbuttoned some of the buttons on his dress shirt. You stared for a pinch too long, seeing his chest under the dress shirt and some of the muscles there too.
"So," Armen said, snapping you out of you daze on the Illyrian warrior over to her, "You and Cassian came to the wedding as each others dates?"
"Did he finally ask you out?" Mor asked, finding herself genuinely curious. You scoffed, taking a drink from her wine.
"We're just friends," You reasoned, "We have been for some time,"
"Clearly you are," Armen said sarcastically, looking at her empty glass and then sighing heavily, "I'm empty. I'm going go find more to drink,"
"I think they have a stash for you in the kitchen," Mor called out to her as Armen slipped away. You chuckled as you looked back at Cassian again, seeing him now staring at you as he did before in the ceremony. He was grinning at him, a full on grin as he then motioned with his head over to the direction of the deserted hallway that was dark and away from prying eyes. You watched him first walk over, hands in his pants pockets and a cock in his head. You downed the last of your own wine, placing the glass on the end table next to you as you grinned at Mor.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom," She replied, Mor just nodding and moving over to Azriel and Gwyn, both of whom were talking to Rhysand and Feyre. You moved casually, not wanting to look too obvious. You tried to make it seem smooth and casual, leaving the rest of the group behind and following the trail that Cassian almost left for you. With every step you took towards the deserted hallway, you were feeling jittery and butterflies. It was nothing new, and yet you liked it.
Once you were down far enough in the hallway, hearing nothing but your breathing and the low hum of the lanterns above in the hallways, you felt a large and yet gently hand along your lower waist and a smirk against your neck. You smirked, leaning into the touch and knowing it like the back of your hand.
"Did you have to make it that obvious at the ceremony?" You asked him as you felt a lingering kiss touch your neck.
"I don't know what you're talking about," He replied, his voice in a low grumble and almost alluring as you were moving with him to go against one the the walls. Your body went willingly, pressing up against the wall and looking up at none other than Cassian, seeing him peering down at you and the small light reflection off his handsome face that was peering down at you. A smirk was on his lips, though you were grinning too.
"You were staring daggers at me that even Feyre noticed. And just now with Mor and Armen," You explained, seeing him lean down to get closer to you and almost trap you against the wall. You were once again letting him, knowing full well that he was bit and powerful, yet gentle and caring in his actions.
"Bless Feyre, but she's a bit oblivious sometimes," He said, you smirking at him, "And I say that with the upmost respect for my High Lady. As for the other two.....they're just oblivious all the time."
"Even Armen?" You coyly asked, seeing him chuckle and lick his lips, "I'll go tell her,"
"Don't you dare," He hummed, wrapping his arm around you waist and being so close to you that you could barely touch your lips against his own, "I'd rather spend some alone time with my mate before anyone else finds out where we are,"
"Are we ever going to tell any of them we're mates?" You asked, placing your hands on his thick and muscular waist, feeling the contrast of the cold wall against your back and the warm body in front of you, "It feels like of like we're cheating on our friends in not telling them,"
"We're gonna tell them," Cassian reassured you calmly, seeing the uneasiness on your face as he pressed a kiss on your nose, "I didn't want to do it now since Az and Gwyn got married today. it'll be our turn, I promise. Let's just have this now, and I'll make sure to tell them soon enough,"
Eyeing him, you know he was telling the truth as you slowly sighed, nodding in agreement. When you two found out to be mates, you wanted to tell everyone about it since you two were so blissfully happy. But it was also a sacred moment for only the pair of you, and you just wanted to have it with him and him alone. For now.
"Good," Cassian hummed, then his alluring look came back, "Now, let me enjoy my mate in her sexy dress, please?"
"Gladly," You replied easily, leaning up to finally kiss him. You two were swelled in the darkness of that hallway, kissing each other with both sensualness and gentleness at the same time. You would have your time with him, it will come and you'll be beyond happy that day.
But your mind was too occupied with the Illyrian commander kissing you soundly and making you fall in love all over again.
The End.

can I get washing their hair for rebelcaptain? 🥺
Tumblr media
fun fact, i received these two asks within about an hour of one another, so great minds really do think alike. anyway, since the other two were heavier, went with something really, really stupid for this one 💕 from this list; still accepting! (and this is now also available on ao3, just like the other fills)
“He does this on purpose,” Jyn grumbles, because she’s too fucking furious for more than a grumble. Well, that and she can’t exactly manage anything else in her current position, head tipped with water-soaked hair obscuring most of her field of vision, palm pressed flat against the shower wall to keep her steady after having to remain like that for so long, but her point still stands.
Could anyone really blame her for being furious? She knows fucking intent when she sees it. There’s no way that a droid with a self-professed “specialty” of strategic analysis hadn’t mapped out what her route around base would likely be today, and there’s no way that he hadn’t been ready with a whole fucking vat of oil in his stupid fucking mechanical hands to drop it over her at just the right fucking moment.
It’d been completely uncalled for, too. So what if she’d cut the power to Kay’s favorite docking port last week and forced him to spend an entire night cycle trapped next to that astromech he hates so much? That had hardly been worth this much torture — and she’ll probably never be able to wear that shirt or vest ever again; they’d practically had to be sliced off of her.
No, there’s a difference between justified retaliation and crossing a line, and Kay had passed that line by a fucking parsec, so he’s the one who’s clearly in the wrong here. That’s her position, and she’s sticking to it.
It’s a position that any reasonable person with sense would agree to, so it’s one that Cassian, logically, will.
But when the hands that have been messaging her scalp still and his response comes, it isn’t an agreement. No, instead, it’s, “He doesn’t mean it,” said in the tone she absolutely hates the most: the one that’s mildly neutral, that comes with the mask he puts on when she knows he doesn’t want to engage with something.
Fuck. For a brief amount of time, she’d actually managed to forget that the person who’s been standing in the shower with her for the past standard hour at least, helping her wash her hair, is the one who’d be the least fucking objective possible on this issue.
If she could turn around, she’d raise an eyebrow and give Cassian her best are you fucking kidding me stare, but since she can’t, she resigns herself to heaving a long, frustrated sigh, one she makes sure can be heard over the running water.
He doesn’t respond for a while, opting instead to continue with his task of rubbing another round of shampoo into her hair. If he were doing this for any other reason, it might feel nice — part of her has been halfway to thinking it at least three times over the past standard hour before she’s stopped herself, because even with the difficulty of what he he’s had to work with, he’s never been too harsh with his touch — but he’s not here for those reasons, and so his silence is annoying. HIs silence leaves her no choice except to try for the sigh again, and really mean it this time.
Eventually, after that, he speaks up again, with a sigh that’s almost as heavy as hers. “I’ll tell him to call it off.”
Finally. Had that been so fucking hard?
To her credit, and she really tries for this, she does her best to leave out that sentiment when she tells him:  “That’s all I’m asking —”
“ — If you also call it off.”
Seriously? Her first instinct is to roll her eyes, which she does, and then her next is to open her mouth for a counterargument, which she also does, only nothing comes out of it. Because maybe, just maybe, she can concede that she’d crossed a line, too, and had provoked something that hadn’t really been worth provoking. It’s just been so quiet, and when things are too quiet, she turns twitchy and restless, and —
She can swallow her pride, even if it means doing so while gritting her teeth.
“Fine.” She guesses she should probably sound less like she’s gritting her teeth, though, so before she elaborates, she takes a beat. “I’ll leave his stupid docking port alone. Will that make him happy?”
Pressed against her, she can feel Cassian lift one shoulder in a shrug. “Happy enough.”
Because she knows him, Jyn can tell, just from his voice, that the beginnings of that stupid smug smirk he likes to flash at her sometimes are there, forming.
Only the shower wall will see, but she scrunches her face and glowers at it with everything she has.
“Fuck you,” she says, though, despite her efforts, she doesn’t manage to inject any real heat into it. “I heard that.”
“Heard what?”
She thinks: she should be annoyed; she should curl her free hand into a fist so that it’ll be ready to give him a nice, solid punch when her position allows. But the thought is gone almost as soon as it surfaces, because — suddenly, in spite of everything, a laugh bursts out of her. A genuine, full-bodied laugh that has her hand shaking against the wall while still trying to hold flat for support, her side stitching, and her breath wheezing.
Behind her, she can hear Cassian joining in earnest, his composure crumbling alongside his current attempt to massage her scalp. His laugh is softer than hers, still trying to find its footing after what has to be years of rust, but it’s undeniable.
Understandably undeniable, because this whole situation really is fucking absurd, isn’t it?
They don’t get many moments like this, but even so, they’ve had more of them together than Jyn can remember having for most of her life before they’d ever met — and it’s a good feeling when they happen. Warm, easy. Safe. The last of the tension she’d been carrying washes away with the water.
And after her laughter subsides and she’s blinked the tears from her eyes, she closes them, relaxing, for the moment, into what she can.

500 words or less! Either feysand or nessian finding out their having a baby!
Tumblr media
Cassian had no idea how long he'd been standing in the bathroom, staring at the little stick that had the word pregnant on the tiny screen in little black letters.
He'd just gotten home from the gym and was getting in the shower when he accidentally dropped his phone in the trash next to the toilet. For a moment, he debated if it was even worth it - he knew what was in the trash of he and Nesta's master bathroom - but ultimately decided that he could bear a few germs to get to his $800 phone.
But then he found it.
The pregnancy test.
The pregnancy test that he'd been staring at, stark nude, since he'd found it.
Pregnant.
He was so stuck in shock that he hadn't heard the front door open, hadn't heard the footsteps down the hall, hadn't heard his wife come into their bedroom and freeze at the threshold of the bathroom.
"Cass."
He'd hardly heard his name, but although she hardly breathed it, it caught his attention just enough.
He turned to face her.
His cheeks were wet. He hadn't even realized he'd been crying.
Even in his state of undress, she met his eyes with the smallest of smiles. A hopeful smile.
"This is yours," Cassian said, holding it up. He felt like an idiot asking, but he needed the confirmation.
Nesta laughed, quietly. "Yes. It's mine. And yours, in case you were wondering."
He couldn't even comprehend her joke, he was too dumbfounded by the fact that he was going to be a father.
"I just found out this morning," Nesta went on, stepping towards him. "I was going to tell you at dinner tonight. I had a super cute idea planned that you just ruined by rifling through the trash, which is disgusting, by the way."
Still too stunned for her teasing, Cassian took her hand in his. "You're pregnant."
"Yeah."
"We're having a baby."
She laughed. "Yeah."
"Fuck," he breathed, which made her laugh louder, and then he was lifting her off the ground and spinning her around. She'd just started squealing uncontrollably when she started smacking at him. He set her on her feet as he said, "Sorry, am I crushing you? Fuck, am I crushing the baby-"
"You stink," she said, still grinning as she dusted off her sweater - as if she could dust off his post-gym stench. "And you're naked."
"You never complained about my nakedness before," he said, one brow lifted. "Which is how we got to this point."
Nesta rolled her eyes - eyes that lingered down, then back up again. "Pig."
But when he reached out for her, she let him pull her back towards him and he kissed her softly. "I'm sorry I ruined your surprise."
"It's okay," she whispered, leaning up on her toes to kiss him again. "You're happy."
There was almost a hint of doubt there that Cassian wanted to quickly erase. "Yeah, Nes. Yeah, I'm happy. I'm really, really happy."
"Good," she breathed, the tension fading from her shoulders. "Me too."
In less than a year, they'd be a family of three, and although Cassian knew what a huge responsibility a child was, he couldn't even pretend to be stressed or nervous or scared.
He was too damn happy.

Can I please request 5 for Cassian?
Cassian x Vanserra Reader drabble
Prompt #5 from the super amazing romance prompt list from @urfriendlywriter
Prompt 5 - "You lied to me. Was I just a pawn in your game? The easiest one you can sacrifice?"
Tumblr media
"If you love him, you'll walk away to protect him," Eris said plainly. "Father would kill him just for being Illyrian. Imagine what he'd do to him for being your mate and having touched you."
Tears were falling freely as you nodded from your spot on the couch in his room. "I could leave."
Eris shook his head. "You and I both know you're his favorite little chess piece. Father will chase you and hunt you down slaughtering anyone protecting you until you are dragged back home kicking and screaming."
-
You didn't know how to end this without Cassian fighting. So, you did something that would destroy every ounce of trust between you two.
You sighed as you waited, pretending to copy enrollment numbers, names, troop sizes from the Night Court. Cassian was coming tonight. You would leave them out "hidden" from his view, let him find them, and then stand there taking every ounce of anger, betrayal, and abuse that came your way.
For his protection.
You reminded yourself why you were doing this. It was for him.
You set up the evidence. Wiping the last of the lingering tears from your cheeks before sighing.
To save him.
To save him from the same fate Jesminda suffered.
The faint sound of wings breaking air made you straighten your dress, fix your hair, and put on the mask you needed to hide the inner turmoil your soul was going through.
Cassian opened the door, a smile lighting the room, as he immediately came to you, cupping your face in two hands and kissing you deeply. "Missed you, princess."
"Missed you more," you answered honestly. "Whiskey?"
He nodded. "Please."
You went into another room, pretending to grab the glass and the bottle, take a little longer than needed. "Y/n, come here," and the pin dropped.
You walked out, bottle in hand. "Is something wrong?"
Cassian held up the papers, his eyes full of confusion and setting in rage. "What the fuck is this?"
You began the act. "Reports you left here."
"Reports you were copying for what purpose, Vanserra?"
The first knife in your chest. He'd never referred to you by that name, knowing how much you hated your father.
"I'm not copying them," you half lied smoothly. In truth, you planned on burning them.
Cassian scoffed. Throwing your handwritten papers into the fire of the hearth. "Don't fucking lie to me when the evidence was right there. Why?"
"You have your job, I have mine," another knife in your chest.
"Is that what I am to you?!" Cassian stormed over to you, slamming his hands on the table. "You think I'm a fucking job?"
You're everything to me, your mind said. You hid the screaming of your aching soul and heart behind a mask of indifference. "Say something," he demanded. "Say. Something."
You shook your head. "There's no point."
"Everyone is pawn in Autumn, Cassian. The sooner you learn where you sit on the chess board, the easier life will be." Your voice was distant.
"You told me you loved me. That you wanted to marry me, and now you've done this." His face dropped completely as he studied you, "You lied to me. Was I just a pawn in your game? The easiest one you can sacrifice?" He saw the brief flash of heartache in your eyes. A small moment of pain before you hid behind a mask.
Realization hit him at your mistake. "You're pushing me away," Cassian realized slowly. "Who found out, princess. Tell me who found out, and I will have Rhys wipe them."
"Pretty sure that would be against the bargain the two of them swore to each other." Cassian's face fell. "I'm a pawn in these games too, Cassian. Leave while you can."
He shook his head, knowing this would go nowhere right now, knowing when you pull the string and back away. He grabbed the reports. "Just tell me if anyone else saw them."
"No one else did," you said slowly. "Just go, Cassian. Make this easier for both of us."
He paused at the doorway. "I won't stop fighting for you," he stated firmly. "I'll never stop fighting for you."
"Then we both become Beron's pawns," you were looking into the fire, arms crossed over your chest.
"All tyrants lose their place, princess, and when he loses his. I'm coming back for you."

Hi it would be awesome if u did the angs print list #11 with Cassian x reader
Feeling ANGSTY 👁️👄👁️
Warnings: angst, some injury detail.
✧: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・゚
The place was utter chaos. The air tinged with the stench of blood, of rain, of mud. Screams of pain reaching out to you from the healers tents, cries of grief over those who didn’t survive. People zipped around you, rushing back and forth with buckets of water and blankets and medical supplies.
There was always a numbness that set in after battle. An emptiness. Though you may not join your friends and family on the battlefield, being a healer kept you up close and personal with injuries and casualties. There was no escaping the gruesome realities of war — not when you spent hour after hour depleting your magic on stitching skin back together and setting broken bones, healing fatal blows by the very skin of your teeth.
You were exhausted by the time you left your tent, another healer having taken over and insisting that you rest. You immediately began to drag your heavy feet through the muddy track that wended through the lines and lines of tents, intending to return to the one you shared with your mate, Cassian. You were desperate for a bath, to submerge yourself in too-hot water that would make you feel something and wash the grot and grime and blood from your skin.
“Y/N.” A grave voice came from behind you, a firm hand landing on your shoulder and stopping you in your tracks.
You turned to find Azriel, and a pinch of relief spread through you at the sight of him. You’d received word that all of your friends had come back from the battlefield, but you could never quite settle until you’d seen them all. Apart from some nicks and slices that were already healing, Azriel seemed otherwise unharmed.
But the set of his jaw was…wrong. Tense. The fierce look in his eyes telling you that something was amiss.
Cassian. Your mate’s name immediately bleated in your head.
“What is it?” You breathed, your stomach churning. Panicked thoughts began to claw at you. “What happened?”
“It’s Cassian.” A muscle in Az’s jaw ticked. “He got badly injured.”
You were going to be sick. Or collapse. Black out. Something. He couldn’t be dead — you knew he couldn’t be dead, because you would feel it. Would just know. But why hadn’t you sensed him being injured?
“Breathe, Y/N.” Azriel gently clasped your arm. The composure you applied to healing people was completely lost when it came to your mate. “He’s okay. Madja healed him, he’s going to be fine. He’s asleep right now, but…he’ll be waking soon. I’m sure you’ll want to be there.”
You were trying so hard to fight back tears. You’d barely had a year with your mate. The thought of losing him—
“Take me to him, Az.” You rasped. “Please.”
Azriel took your hand, easily manoeuvring you around the chaos that continued around you, that you no longer noticed. It felt like eons passed before you were being led to the main war tent where the Inner Circle discussed their information and strategy. Rhys was just stepping out of the entrance as you skidded to a stop.
“There you are.” The High Lord breathed. “I’m sorry, Y/N — I gave him a direct order to wait and he ignored it. His damn insides were hanging out. I’m so angry with him. If not for Madja already being here—”
“Can I just see him?” You bit back a sob. “Please?”
He dipped his chin, holding the tent flap aside for you. As you stepped in, the strong, clinical smell of tonics and salves burned your nose.
Your eyes immediately found your mate. Sprawled out on a settee, he was undressed, aside from a pair of undershorts that were stained with his blood. A huge white bandage was wrapped around his torso, and even in sleep, his face seemed to twitch in pain with every breath.
He looked…a mess. Awful. And it sliced you open. Made you feel like your heart was being tightly squeezed.
His sweat-slick hair was sticking to his mud-speckled face. You took a step towards him, stopping and angling yourself back towards Rhys and Az.
“Can I have some time with him?” You wiped you eyes quickly. “Please?”
Rhys nodded, and the two of them shot you a concerned glance before turning on their feet and trudging away. Where the others were, you didn’t know. But right now…right now, Cassian was your focus.
You perched on the coffee table in front of him and waited for him to wake.
✧: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・゚✧・゚: *✧・
It wasn’t long after that you heard a soft groan.
Your eyes, that had been staring into space, snapped down to Cassian. And it was only then that you became aware of the tears that had been silently falling down your cheeks.
You wiped them away, and watched as your mate’s eyes slowly opened. As he winced, his face contorting in pain, and tried to push himself up.
“Careful.” You murmured, reaching out to steady him. Your hands stayed on him as he moved himself into a sitting position, and then you were stepping back once more.
Cassian stared up at you. And smiled.
Albeit a grim smile — one marred by discomfort and looking wrong beneath the smattering of blood and dirt. But he smiled.
And maybe it shouldn’t have done, but…it boiled your blood.
“There’s my little love.” He croaked, reaching a hand towards you. “Such a sight for sore eyes.”
You immediately stepped out of reach, folding your arms over your chest. “You’re injured, Cassian.”
He glanced down at the bandage with infuriating indifference. “Injured, not infectious.” He reached for you again, wincing as he did so. “Come sit with me.”
So many emotions were rooting you to the spot, stopping you from going to him. Sheer panic and fear and worry and hurt and anger. Pure, blinding anger.
All you could do was stare at him.
He stared back, his features slowly creasing into a frown. He looked you up and down — your apron spattered with blood and grime. Your face and hands not much better. The wisps of hair that had long ripped from your braid.
“…you’re not injured, are you?” He started, trying to ease himself up. “Let me see.”
“No, I’m not injured.” You snapped. “I’m fucking furious, Cassian.”
“What—”
“Why did you go against Rhys’s order? Why would you do that?”
Your mate blinked at you, and it seemed only then that he became truly aware of your fury. Your hurt. He eased himself up from the settee, using the arm to steady himself. “Y/N—”
“Why, Cassian?”
“…the decision I made was the more logical one—”
“Oh, yeah — so logical to get your fucking intestines ripped out of you. Great job, my mate.”
He’d never seen you this angry. Even though you’d chastised him a couple of times before about certain reckless decisions, it had never been like this. Tears were stinging your eyes again.
Cassian caught it immediately, his features softening. “Sweetheart…”
“Don’t do that.” Your voice cracked. “Don’t act like this is nothing.”
“I’m not. I’m not. But you’re new to all of this. And injuries are a part of it…”
You scoffed. Yes, you were far younger than him. He had four hundred years on you and had seen battle multiple times. Clearly his wealth of experience didn’t stop him acting like a reckless fool.
“Funny, because you’re the only one of us who had his insides ripped out, Cassian, and you’re also the only one who went against Rhys’s orders!”
“I made the right choice!” His voice rose. “And I’d damn well make it again!”
“I know you would! And that scares me, Cass, because what about me?”
A sob choked your voice on the last word, your hurt and panic completely overtaking your anger. You couldn’t stand it, couldn’t take the thought of anything happening to him—
You buried into your hands, your cries breaking out of you uncontrollably. And you knew Cassian was stunned into silence. That he’d gone preternaturally still.
“…Y/N…” He sighed softly. “Hey. Look at me. I’m fine.”
He limped over to you, his hands grasping your arms. But his touch didn’t stop the heaving sobs.
“You may have got off okay this time,” your whole body shook, “but what about the next time? Or the time after that?”
“I…” He frowned. “You just have to trust me. I’ll be fine.”
“This isn’t about trust!” You wrenched away from him. “I’m sick and tired of worrying about you and all the risks you take. You tell me you’ll be fine but what about me? Because if I lose you, I won’t be fine. Do you even realise that?”
“Y/N, you’re not going to lose me—”
“I’m pregnant, Cassian.”
Cassian’s mouth immediately snap shut, his eyes widening. And then his gaze was dipping down to your stomach, back up to your face.
“We can’t lose you.” You snivelled, placing a hand on your abdomen. “So please…all I ask is that you think of us before making risky decisions.”
“I…” He was still blinking. “You’re…”
“Pregnant.” You whispered. “Yeah.”
Only a beat passed before he was striding over to you — groaning as he did so — and pulling you into his chest. His arms wrapped around you, and you knew it was causing him pain, but he held you so tightly. Rocked you. Kissed the top of your head.
“I’m sorry.” His voice broke. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t think.”
Slowly, you stroked your hand up his back. You could feel your sobs silently shaking your body, soaking his bare chest.
“I’ll never leave you.” Cass pulled back just slightly — just enough to place a hand over yours on your stomach. “Either of you.”
You stared up at him with glistening eyes, tears spilling down your cheeks. “Do you swear?”
“I swear.”
And then he was pulling you into his chest again, and the two of your were crying into each other’s skin, just your weak noises filling the tent, mixed up in Cassian’s repeated apologies. You didn’t know how long you stood like that for, but it was long enough for your anger to dissipate. For you to feel the pure relief and love that hit you with Cassian back in your arms.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered again, his cheek pressed to the top of your head. “Forgive me.”
And you — you lifted your head. Looked up at him. A soft, watery smile played on your lips, and you pushed yourself up to press them against his, to speak a single word onto them.
“Forgiven.”
