Misconceptions of Mass Communication
The Mass Communication course is not known by many. I myself never really knew this course existed but found myself enrolling and enjoying the course. It is my true calling and my passion for I aspire to be a Side Court Reported for the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) ⋆·˚ ༘
As I enrolled in Bachelor of Arts in Communication, misconceptions from different people were said and it truly took a toll on me since not many understand this course.
I am here to educate and broaden the minds of the ones who chose to keep a close mind about Mass Communication.
The common misconceptions that people assume immediately are;
Mass communication is not an intelligent or hardworking field
You or anyone else are not less intelligent or hardworking because you are taking mass communication. It takes a lot of effort, ingenuity, and hard work to achieve, just like other courses.
People who want to disparage the field frequently use the implication that only stupid or slothful children would ever choose mass communication. That is not accurate at all! Students in mass communication are just as intelligent and devoted as those in other well-liked fields and what could appear to be "serious" courses. The height of ignorance is insulting someone's work or intelligence because you don't comprehend how or what is being taught, so you shouldn't allow it bother you or make you feel inferior.
“Mass Commportable sa Bahay”
This is one of the major communication misconceptions that people think of the Communication program. The people who usually think this way are the people who do not study under the program or just someone who has very little idea what Communication is in the first place.
They mentioned that it's a program that can be comfortably done at home, after all it's only about vlogging, reporting and broadcasting, which can be done within the household. But, they fail to realize that the Communication program is not as easy as they think. In the media industry, it's a must for a person to have a variety set of skills in which they can learn in studying communication. Communicators are trained to be well-rounded and skilled in various tasks like editing, writing, speaking, and even acting. In line with this, the communication program opens a lot of doors for different careers. So, it's truly a misconception that the Communication Program is easy and "mass commportable sa bahay." Communicators receive intensive training and studying to become a good media practitioner in the future.
All communication students are extroverts
“You’re an introvert, are you sure you want to study Communications?” This is a typical question that introverts usually encounter especially when they are considering to choose this as a career. The perceptions that introverts cannot or would not fit in this career or become successful professionals in this industry is incorrect. Equal opportunity exist for both, skills and hard work is your investment in this career. Even though it is expected to speak in front of groups of people, being an extrovert is not the key in order to succeed.
Students studying mass communication acquire a wide range of useful abilities in addition to a wealth of information that they must continuously be aware of. In the field of mass communication, education never ends. With new inventions and technology appearing on the scene, there is always more to learn!
Additionally, if you have any remaining reservations, consider these well-known and accomplished mass communication professionals that put in a lot of effort to become successful.

Not socialist in a “I won’t have to work” type of way but socialist in a “I’ll still be working but I won’t be worried I won’t make the rent” type of way. In a “billions won’t be hoarded by one person” type of way. In a “janitors, fast-food workers, child care workers, preschool teachers, hotel clerks, personal care and home health aides, and grocery store cashiers, will live comfortably” type of way. In a “the sick and elderly will be cared for” type of way. In a “no child should work” type of way.

The end of online privacy
Now, this isn't something I usually post about from my silly goofy k1nk account (reminder to minors to not follow or scroll this acount).
But I have more followers on here than main, and this is extremely important. Like, scary shit.
This applies to everyone. If you're reading this? It's going to effect you.
I'm sure perhaps some of you have seen around about a this thing going around... KOSA, is one of the ways it's being referred to.
If this shit passes, lemme tell you...
LGBTQ+ adults and minors seeking help and community,
people looking for abortions,
people organizing protests,
anyone using their free speech to voice concerns about injustices,
even FAN ARTISTS...
Even people reading fan fiction...
And for the purposes of where I'm posting from... people sharing and enjoying their k1nks, wanting to post things with safety and privacy... smut artists and writers, people even LOOKING for smut...
It's all gone. No privacy.
They'll have your face, your name, your age, where you live.
You'll need an ID to use any US-based platform, even if you're NOT in the United States.
Instead of dooming, here's what you can do to stop this shit in it's tracks 👍
Here is a website where you can sign a letter just by filling out a form, (it takes less than 30 seconds) and where you can call reps.
I HIGHLY suggest leaving calls if you're able, and if you have phone shyness, do this after 6pm, since it will leave messages instead.
I'm shy, but I did it!
Here's another letter to sign, takes less than 20 seconds.
Here is a form you can fill out sharing how the social media has POSITIVELY effected you.
Share all of this with as many people as you can. Our safety, freedom, joy, and protection online is at risk more than ever.
(Here is the thread where I found all of this information.)
STAY SAFE!

so, today we, russian queers, may become "extremists" by decision of russian supreme court and thus our existence will be silenced and erased. any queer activism will be impossible for us. I don't know what to do anymore. I was heartbroken when they passed the laws about "gay propaganda" and transgender people, now I'm just numb. I don't want to escape. I just want to live safely in my own country.
please hear us.
