My Favourite Drarry Fics: A Rec (mostly based on feels and amount of rereads).

1). Through His Teeth (2.8k, dicta_contrion): this is such a good example of Draco being a slithering slytherin and doing anything he can to get himself that pardon ;).bittersweet/open ending.

2). Crowning Glory (5.5k, LowerEastSide): my bookmark notes just say “YES”, and it’s a yes indeed! long-haired Draco comes back in Harry’s life, so now Harry has to deal with his newfound attraction for Draco and his instinctual recoil at Draco’s hair, that reminds Harry of Lucius’. + emotional smut that made me cry (lmao).

3). Close to the Truth (6.3k, josephinestone,orphan_account): to keep his parents safe, Draco has to make a quick decision, and ends up changing his and Harry’s life forever. They do fall for eachother, even if a little weirdly. I adored how Harry was completely without inhibitions regarding his longing and love for Draco, and I loved the ending.

4). Blow by Blow (7k, calrissian18): this made me feel so much. Harry’s enraged with Draco, Draco’s furious at Harry, but still they’re forced to interact while trying (and failing) to get over their respective anger and hurt. first person pov, but it’s so fitting you don’t even notice. (cw for mpreg and infedelity.)

5). Of Apathetic Twinges (8.9k, frostywonder): such a wonderful tale about Draco coming back to life from the bleak void of apathy and depression, and a Harry a little out of his depth but ready to help nonetheless. (cw for dubcon and mpreg.)

6). Current Mood: Enraged (11.2k, Cassiopeias_shadow): i love every single one of this author’s works, but this particular one just stole my heart. a story that features Draco exploring his real self and his sexuality, while being completely oblivious about Harry’s growing devotion and attraction. extra kudos for all the Tedward interactions and Andromeda + Narcissa subterfuges. this little family just makes you feel all the good stuff.

7). Ship Of Theseus (18.2k, GallaPlacidia): a fic that destroyed me completely and then put me back together. Harry’s character growth was truly amazing to witness, and Draco’s longing, anguish and grace always bring me back for a reread. and no, it doesn’t get less impactful. not even if you read it twenty times. (cw for kidnapping and memory loss.) i have also reread Cassiopeia Lily Malfoy, Lessons in Grace and Decorum and The Bucket List more times than i can count, so i must include them.

8). House Proud (23.1k, astolat): this author has blessed the fandom with many amazing works through the years, and i would gladly read their grocery list, but of all of them House Proud is my favorite. Draco helps Harry restore 12 Grimmauld Place to its old glory after the house locks them inside. Draco’s excellence and Harry’s possessiveness really sealed the deal for me.

9). Stain Of Silence (28.3k, brummel): my bookmark notes > “talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular, never the same — you get the drift.” so…… yeah. just do yourself a favour and read this amazing piece of writing. (cw for light crossdressing and some messed up power dynamics.)

10). Waiting By An Open Door (29.5k, Femme, noeon): the pining! the owls! this fic just hit all the right spots for me. Draco’s longing was so real, and i really liked reading how Harry got there too with time. + extra kudos for Slytherin friendships and scorching hot smut!

11.) Bite Me, Hate Memes (44.3k, pir8fancier): this one i consider a classic. haven’t reread in a while, but i just remembered it to be so snarky and soft at the same time for some reason. the love Draco, Pansy and Blaise have for one another blew me away and i absolutely a d o r e d Draco unapologetically being the bisexual icon he is and how he encouraged Harry to explore his sexuality. by the end, they hate eachother more than ever ;)

11). Heaven Through a Window (81.2k, JocundaSykes): oh, how i love this one. it has it all. memory loss, pining, slow burn, Albus and Scorpius being besties. all the hurt but also all the comfort. Narcissa as a morning angel, and a mini rebellion against the ministry. cats, ghosts and hidden grandparents. dreamed kisses that end up being real. so, so good.

12). this spot was supposed to go to (strangle with the) Hands of Lust, an historical fic that i have recently discovered and adore immensely. i can’t find it anymore, so i suppose it’s been deleted. i am absolutely destroyed about this because it was truly, truly excellent. if you’re crying about it too lmk.

13.) Such Great Heights (93.3k, aideomai): every single aideomai work is magnificent, but this one i must have read six, seven times ??? it’s just THAT good. Harry is living at Grimmauld Place with all of his friends, and finds an impoverished Draco, who’s taking care of the Gringotts dragon (MONSTER 😭😭😭). i just fell in love with the boys’ domesticity and with the way that Harry’s feelings for Draco slowly sneaked on him until they were totally unavoidable.

14.) Chaos Theory (102.7k, tessacrowley): this fic’s tags intimidated me so much i postponed reading it for a while, but when i finally did the suffering was well worth it! Draco’s genius, the affection he and Harry share from their first year on, and their relationship with Severus made me shine with happiness. they do suffer, and they do hurt a lot, but do not fret! love is the strongest magic out there for a reason, eheh. (READ THE TAGS!!)

15.) Grounds For Divorce (122.2k, Tepre): AHHHHHHHH. let me try to find words for this one. i started reading Grounds For Divorce one year ago, at 2am, sleepy as heck, and thinking: “lemme just skim thru and maybe i’ll finish in the morning.” yo, that is NOT what happened. i finished the whole thing in one sitting. i felt all the feelings, i cried all the tears, i took the final boss UST like a champ and i think about that freaking lemon tree almost daily. i can ask myself, how does one recover from this masterpiece ??? one simply does not.

16). It Started in the Shower series (124.k for 9 works, chickenlivesinpumkin): this started as pwp and became like the most impactful Draco redemption arc ever. that last installment completely blew my mind. just go into this blind and be prepared for one of the best rides ever !!! + extra kudos for the amazing Draco, Neville and Ginny trio.

17.) By the Grace (139.8k, lettered): i find myself thinking about this fic often. i do think about the epic character arcs, friendships and politics, but mostly i reminisce about that one line “We will find grace.” i guess it’s because it’s something i too have to find in my everyday life. overall, this work brings me a lot of joy.

18.) Men Who Love Dragons Too Much (500k+, fencer_x): this is my Deathly Hallows canon. changing my mind is thoroughly impossible. Draco spends his sixth year trying to become a dragon animagus instead of fixing the Cabinet, and he ends up joining the Golden Trio in their Horcrux hunt. a truly epic read that made me wish those thousands of words would never end.

One last Year, (Cedric x Harry x Draco)

Chapter 1

Cedric and Harry took their dicks out, they were ready, they were begging, metaphorically. They both really wanted to fuck the beautiful naked boy in front of them, they wanted to be one with him so badly, this was only supposed to be a touching therapy for Draco so he wouldn’t be scared of people touching him.

Months Earlier {and yeas I mean months takes place in Christmas up there 👆🏻}

Harry, Ron and Hermione were on the train ready to have their final year of Hogwarts, they were talking about their summer, what their future might be. Ron said how he was the first ever Alpha in his family, Hermione was talking about how she would like to be Head Mistress of the school and how she might be able to seize that chance. Harry was quiet…. Just listening. He was somewhere else he had just noticed a blonde, quiet Draco enter the train. He was confused, but he was mostly wondering how Draco would treat them now, treat him now. Pansy and Blaise an accompanied him and just sat there silent. When Draco looked up Harry was looking at him. The both were shocked for a moment and turned their heads away from eye sight. Ron and Hermione noticed this as well as Pansy and Blaise. Hermione decided that maybe finally this quarrel could end between them. She went over and started talking to Pansy Ron, Harry, Blaise and Draco were shocked. She talked to all three of them. Their conversation was about 10 minutes.

Hermione: Hey I was wondering how about we be friends??

Pansy:…. Everyone’s looking at us… You should go back- we don’t want to cause any trouble with you.

Hermione was shocked to hear this. But mostly a little happy. They changed.

Hermione: Let them look, Let them talk you shouldn’t care!

Pansy: I don’t mean any disrespect Granger but that’s easy for you to say… Gryphondoors, Ravenclaws, and Hufflepuffs have always been fancied over Slytherins.

Blaise: We don’t want to cause and problems and questions for when people ask what you’re doin with Death-Eaters…. Stats is everything to a person you should think about Hermione hated what Blaise called them. Death-Eaters she knew they weren’t like that. When she looked at them she saw confusion and insecurity.

Hermione: Why should you care of what others say to you? Who made you think like this, that reputation is everything-

The Sliver Trio: Parents

Pansy: “This is what your born for” she said

Draco: “This is your Destiny, destiny doesn’t give you choices” he said…

Blaise: Mother knows best…..

Draco: Listen Granger-

Hermione: Hermione, you know it Draco call me that.

Draco: Hermione your reputation is to high to be seen with the likes of us. Please just go before something drastic happens to you…

Hermione was speechless, but she left. He did ask nicely she walked back to Harry and Ron she looked back she saw Cedric walk next to Draco and hold his hand. Draco buried his head in Cedric’s chest. Hermione blushed and looked away. Her face red, shipping the blonde Slytherin and the sexy Hufflepuff. She sat down with her friends face red and told them to look. Harry and Ron were flabbergasted, Harry didn’t like the scene though, He couldn’t pin it down on why, he just didn’t like it. Cedric looked up to see Harry looking at him. Cedric was always a tease he started petting Draco’s hair slowly and brought Draco’s face to his. The Blonde blushed deeply but pushed away from him. He had just talked to Hermione about status, what would people say if they saw a Malfoy enjoying romantic attention from another male. After a couple of hours they arrived to Hogwarts they got off and started carrying there luggage. Cedric tried to hold Draco’s hand but the blonde declined every attempt. Pansy didn’t decide to wait for the two lovebirds so started walking up front. But wasn’t looking where she was going, as the result she bumped into Harry knocking both of them on the floor. She immediately grabbed her stuff, held out her hand to Harry helping him up apologizing and walked away as fast as she could. Harry confused of what just happened didn’t even get to say thank you just looked as she walked away as fast as she could calling out to her friends to say get going. Draco left right behind but had to grab Blaise and pull him quickly so no one would see them Cedric was sad that he didn’t get to stay next to the one he loved, he knew that Draco would be more distant then ever. Even though his father is in jail and the Malfoy name is Destroyed he knew that Draco wouldn’t hurt his mother by saying he was gay. He couldn’t say that it would cause more problems and Draco didn’t want to lose his only family member. Everyone that go off the train started to head to the mess hall. Head Mistress Mcgonagal welcomed all the students. “Hello my children! Welcome back to Hogwarts! The school is now rebuilt and ready for all the new and old faces we will have.”

Ron: I hope she doesn’t congratulate us a-

“And we have Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger to thank! Let’s all give them our applause!”

Ron: gain……

Hermione: to late! (Laughs)

“ Just to inform you there will be new dorm rooms! Gryphon-Door, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin will no longer have common rooms! They will be pared! “ Everyone was shocked and started whispering “I hope I’m not paired with HIM” the silver trio looked at each other in shock and fear, they wouldn’t be together? “ You all will know where and who your rooms with! That is all, dinner is at 7:15” after she left, papers appeared above their heads. Draco and Pansy were still roommates, “thank god” Draco thought But they looked at Blaise he was stuck with Ginny Weasley, Ron Weasley, and Luna Lovegood. Draco looked at Blaise in a smug face,

Blaise: shut it you.. he’d never like me anyway idiot.. he’s with Granger…

Ron: actually we broke up….

Blaise heart leaped out of him- where the hell did he come from? What’s he behind them the entire time?!

Ron: So you actually have a crush on m-

Blaise left as fast as he could. He knew Ron would laugh at him, he didn’t want to see that, he didn’t want to hear that. He just didn’t want to talk with Ron at all he just wanted to disappear. Ron just watched as he walked away a little hurt and confused he looked at Draco and Pansy for an explanation, Draco wouldn’t say anything, neither would Pansy. Ron got annoyed at this he reached out to Draco trying to be the better man and said “let’s just be friends” he said with a smile. Draco said very quietly but Ron heard “We really shouldn’t we’ll just cause you and your friends trouble, let’s just avoid each other best we can. I’ll take Blaise to see Mcgonagal to see if we can be as far away as possible for y’all…” Rons mouth opened wide, he was more hurt but confused, he said that they didn’t have to do that but Draco said that they wanted to. He asked if that’s what Pansy wanted. She just avoided eye contact. They left quickly and quietly. Ron chased after Blaise and told him to wait.

Ron: Blaise wait please if the question is to uncomfortable I’m sorry-

Blaise: Don’t be sorry, I’m sorry you heard that…. Don’t worry I’ll got ask Mcgonagal if I can just be with Pansy and Draco-

Ron: No please hear me out-

Blaise: Look I don’t want your opinion on it- I’m sorry, I just don’t want to be anywhere near you and I’m sure you feel the same THERES no need to talk about it…

Ron was now really hurt, he just wanted to say to Blaise that he would like to try to make a relationship between them work but he didn’t, he couldn’t speak. Blaise walked out to go see the Professor. He saw Draco and Pansy rushing to him so they could convince the professor to let the 3 of them to share a dorm. As they walked down to see the professor all the students started talking whispering, there heard all sorts of things, things they we’re prepared to hear. “What there they doing here?” “I can’t believe that the professor let them here…..” “ugh mangy DEATH-EATERS”

Hermione: DON’T YOU DARE CALL THEM THAT! THEY WERE FORCED!

The sliver trio looked behind them it was “GRANGER?!” Draco thought. She went up to Draco personally and reached out.

Hermione: I want us to be friends, please?

Pansy took the lead this time she said yes. Blaise left to go talk to the Professor Mcgonagal. Luna and Ginny had been talking

Ginny: Harry I need to tell you something…

Harry: Yeah Ginny?

Ginny: Have you gained your memories of Draco yet?

She said with guilt written across her face

Harry: What do you mean? If you mean all the years that Draco tormented me then yes-

He looked at Ginny, she started to cry, Luna was right there to console her.

Ginny: H-Harry…- she said while crying

Harry: Yes Ginny?

Ginny: I have something to tell you- and you have every right to be mad…. I….
