Haru

— Dinosaurs, his bedroom is themed with dinasours. Plushies, figures, books, everything.

— Books. And most of them are about dinosaurs.

— Fruits. Kids's always eating fruits.

— He also loves lights, fireworks and shiny things. Bird traits who?

— Fried chicken. Son of his father.

— Opposite of Hawks, Haru is quietter. He likes reading and drawing more than be running around.

— But don't get me wrong, he still is a very active kid.

— He likes heroes too, but not too much. He admires his father like no one else, but he'd seen the mountains of paperwork and the behind the scenes. Their life is hard.

— Heroes.

— Endeavor is his favorite. Just kidding, but he does like other heroes.

— He also loves stars, his favorite thing to do is to stay on the balcony with a blanket on his body as he watches the sky.

— Unlike Haru, this kid is active. He's always jumping around, running, playing,

— Another favorite thing? Spending time with his dad. He think's he's funny.

pairing: bakugou katsuki x fem!reader

summary: the internet is enamored with the idea of y/n l/n and bakugou katsuki, two renowned pro heroes, dating. the first issue? the pair rarely interacts. the second issue? apparently, they hate each other, not that anyone knows about that bit. of course, after one night of many mistakes, the whole world knows.

THE MEETING WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. AT ALL. Or at least, that’s how it seemed in Y/N’s eyes. Seeing as the only thing that had come out of it was… spending more time with Bakugou. Which was the opposite of what she wanted to do at the moment seeing as she despised him. Y/N actually had a feeling that any further interactions with Bakugou would only end in more chaos. So, Y/N decided she would set to work, as she would any other day. 

Ignore the problem until it goes away, right?

Slipping on her hero costume feels like a chore, pulling the gloves of her suit on with a grimace. They only served as a reminder of her inability to fully control her ability— though Y/N was known as someone with some of the most impressive quirk control. There was always that underlying feeling, of course that feeling never belonged to her. It had always been hard, shutting out the emotions of others, Y/N had found that those who feel the most strongly were the ones she would avoid.

Clearly she had failed.

Regardless, those emotions tended to be distracting as she went about her day. Y/N had learnt to ignore them, to block them out for periods of time, but in a career like hers it was unavoidable. The pain, the rage, the panic, the pure feeling of fear. It could get overwhelming and that often put her at a disadvantage. Emotions were viewed as a weakness, and oftentimes allowing your emotions to get the best of you resulted in unnecessary deaths. But allowing the emotions of others to do so? 

It got even worse when she actually activated her quirk to its fullest extent.  With a single touch, she could utilize the abilities of a person— all their abilities. When it came to quirks, if you controlled your quirk well, so could she. Otherwise, she would adapt the skills of a person, their intelligence, their athleticism, even their hobbies. Y/N could even the fact that she’d made it through UA to this ability. After all, she’d never been athletic, but her classmates had been. 

But her setback had always been a pain, especially in battle, Y/N felt the pain of whoever’s quirk she mimicked. If they were shot, Y/N felt it as if she had been shot as well. She’d never experienced someone dying on her. Nor did she want to. But Y/N was capable of holding as many quirks and capabilities as she could handle— and pain added up very quickly. 

It had been worse when she was younger, but Y/N had grown during her time at UA, and now she was capable of ignoring the emotions of others to an extent, and her pain tolerance had grown exponentially. 

Y/N was grateful for her success, for the agency she’d been working at. She was not grateful for the looks she got on the way there, Y/N could feel the whispers of those who watched her enter as they walked past. Though she could only hope her own staff had more respect for her. 

Her lips pressed together into a tight lipped smile as she entered, and Y/N found herself bracing for whatever could greet her. And to her delight, it appeared that everything was normal. Save for Lorelai’s presence by the entrance, her phone in hand. As though she had known Y/N had entered, the girl in question looks up from her phone before Y/N even has the chance to speak.

“We need to go over our plan, Y/N.”

In response, Y/N waves her off, continuing down the corridor. She smiles to those who greet her, mumbling back to them as Lorelai follows her. “Actually, I need to plan my first patrol of the morning.” She says, looking back to her friend momentarily.

“Then I’ll plan. And my plan includes a real nice fake dating scheme, kinda like those movies.”

Almost instantly Y/N turns around, glaring at Lorelai— who simply offers her a smile in response, clearly pleased with herself as she begins to move alongside Y/N rather than behind her. Y/N had no doubt that they would plan a fake dating scheme if it came down to it, unless she got involved that is. “So?”

“Well, the fake dating scheme was an actual option but you clearly don't like that.” Lorelai mumbles out in response, now holding a tablet as she guides them into a room. “Aside from that, basic press events together,” Lorelai looks up from her tablet pointedly, “where you actually look like you’re enjoying yourself, should amend the situation easily enough.”

Y/N raised a brow, taking a step around the long meeting table where those who worked at Hawk’s agency would soon congregate for their weekly assignments, “a little too easy if you ask me.” She looks to Lorelai, “Bakugou agreed to this?”

“I’m sure his PR team will convince him.” Came her response, shrugging as she took a seat on the table and crossed her legs. “We can do a public statement but there’s no real reason for making this a bigger thing than it already is. It would only end badly.” 

With a frown, Y/N’s eyes drift back towards the window. They’re still on the first floor so it’s not like she’s seeing much, but it’s almost astonishing, how there are people just… going about their days without a single fear in the world. All Might’s downfall had eradicated the mindset but on days like these it felt as though not a single thing had changed. As though there weren’t still dozens of underground organizations planning horrid things, and there weren’t hero agencies like her own devising ways to stop them.

Hero Society was a fragile, and corrupt thing. 

Y/N had watched as they threw children into every battle, she remembered when she’d been forced to do such things herself. She had watched her comrades, her friends, nearly die for a cause they were too young to comprehend. And she watched as civilians criticized them for not doing enough. Why did her publicity even matter? Shouldn’t that be the least of her concerns? Y/N found it funny that she needed to do well in polls to do her job well. It was the only real way to guarantee access to certain information that low ranked heroes didn’t get. 

With a sigh,Y/N turns back, brows furrowed, “so when does this start?”

Placing the tablet beside her on the table, Lorelai rests her palms against it and leans back against them, “next week probably. Haru still needs to work out the details with the rest of the PR team and Bakugou.” 

A small laugh escapes Y/N as she mumbles out, “it takes a whole team to keep that man from ruining himself.”

“Most Pro Heroes have a PR team, Y/N. You’re one of few exceptions.” Lorelai corrects, looking to her. It was true, Y/N was aware that more popular heroes often had teams of people coordinating their social media, schedules, public outings, and more. 

Y/N tilts her head at Lorelai, “why is that?” 

Lorelai raises a brow at her friend’s words, “what, you want to get rid of me?”

Y/N laughs once more, shaking her head, “no… it’s just—” She turns to face her friend, “when I hired you I couldn’t really afford anyone else. Now I can. But you do all the work by yourself.” Biting her lip, Y/N asks, “why is that? I could get you an assistant or something, easily.”

“Well you aren’t exactly the most problematic,” Lorelai responds, offering her a small smile.

Nodding, Y/N pulls out a chair at the head of the table, taking a seat, “but you also have plenty of other clients—”

The door opens, drawing their attention to the person who stands there, one of many heroes who worked at the agency., Pro Hero Telen, a simple hero name with an equally simple quirk. But his ability had saved them numerous times in battle. He pauses as he enters, “is it— is it not time for the briefing? Have I interrupted something? I apologize I can—” 

He moves to shut the door but Lorelai simply hops off the table, collecting her tablet as she heads to the door and rests a hand on his shoulder, “don’t worry— we’re done here, right Y/N?” Y/N simply nods, and Lorelai offers her a smile, “be careful today.” She mumbles out, before turning back to Telen. Y/N doesn’t know what she says, but he pales and nods before entering. Shortly after, everyone else seems to file inside, and Y/N finds herself sighing as she spins around in her chair as she waits. 

It would be a long day. A very, very, long day. 

BAKUGOU WAS TIRED. He really was. Working at Endeavor’s Agency meant long hours, endless paperwork, constant cases. And right now he was assigned to the current big thing; the Stain copycat that had yet to be caught. Unfortunately, this guy didn’t seem to be an amateur like the rest. Of course, whoever it was, they’d primarily been attacking minor Pro Heroes, until recently. 

Slowly working their way up the food chain of heroes until they ended up coming across someone who was relevant. It was inevitable, at one point whoever it was, they’d bite more than they can chew. Trying to take on a hero that surpassed their skills, whatever those skills may be— or they would slip up. Leaving behind some sort of evidence that would result in their capture. 

The only issue was, there was no telling where or when this would be. How many would have to die before they were caught? Bakugou didn’t necessarily want to know, and it was his job to make sure no one ever knew how many. 

A job he was failing. Alongside Deku, who had also been assigned to the case, it was a curious partnership but he had no choice to make it work. And his publicist had insisted that any presence with a hero like him would be good publicity. After all, most of the public knew about their little rivalry so it would make him seem diplomatic in a way. But Deku was…

“So… the gala, huh.”

Well, he was Deku.

“Shut up.” 

Thankfully, they hadn’t run into any reporters, though he was sure someone had caught pictures of them on duty together. Which was bound to end either ridiculously well for him, or incredibly poorly. It was always hit or miss with the press and Bakugou despised the entire aspect of the job. It was the one thing he could admit he was bad at. He wasn’t the most approachable, meaning it was rare for reporters to approach him in the first place due to his renowned temper.

The pair was making their way through the streets of the city, patrol was normal but they were currently on their way to the police station. They were supposed to be collaborating with the police to handle this copycat, and for some reason Deku was… panicked. It was subtle but the guy had been practically sweating bullets since Endeavor told them they’d need to work with the police. 

If Bakugou was honest this whole job was busy work. Why else would Endeavor’s agency be working on it? The Number One hero had to have better things to do. Maybe this was a punishment for what happened on the last mission they went on.

Bakugou frowns at the thought, electing to push those thoughts to the back of his mind as they come to stand in front of the Police Station. He finds himself bringing a hand to rub his temple. It was definitely going to be a long day. And he hadn’t even spoken to Haru about how the meeting with Lorelai went yet. Not that he wanted to know at this point, Bakugou had a feeling he wouldn’t be satisfied with any solution they proposed.

He really didn’t feel like dealing with any of this. So, Bakugou finds himself thinking that it might be time to use all those vacation days he’d been holding onto since he’d started working with Endeavor. They were piling up after all.

With a huff, he and Deku make their way up the steps up the police station, and Bakugou pushes the door open. It’s busy inside, as expected. A bustling atmosphere that reeks of blood, sweat, and tears, literally. There are some people seated, likely waiting to be processed, they’re handcuffed and Bakugou is fairly sure he recognizes one of them. Not that he has the time to dwell on it as they move through the police station.

One of the officers makes their way towards them, “you’re the heroes Endeavor’s agency sent?” He asks, looking to Deku, brow raised. “Welcome back.” 

Bakugou looks at Izuku incredulously as they begin to follow the man through the mess of a building, “the hell is that supposed to mean?” He hisses, but Izuku’s face has already flushed as he covers it with his hands, shaking his head.

“It was one time, how do all of you know about it!” Izuku cried out, and Bakugou finds himself glaring at his partner for the day, even without context.

The officer simply laughs, waving him off as they make their way into a room. There stands the police chief, Kenji Tsuragamae, and a few others seated at some of the many seats in the room, in front of white board that seems to be more of a mess than those around them. They look tired, exhausted even. 

Tsuragamae seems to notice their presence, clapping to garner the attention of the few inside the room, “everyone, please welcome the Pro Heroes from Endeavor’s agency. They’ll be assisting us with this case moving forwards.”

The officers seem rather unimpressed, and since Izuku still seems rather embarrassed for some reason, Bakugou finds himself stepping forwards, “what’s going on?”

With a sigh, he goes to answer. But he doesn’t get the chance as an explosion sounds and the building shakes. A siren goes off above them and suddenly the sprinklers began shooting out water as a woman entered, “sir! There’s been an explosion.”

Bakugou fights the urge to say, no shit, as he and Izuku exchange looks, “is it an attack?”

“On the police? That’s bold.” The officer from earlier comments as they all rise from their seats. But the fear in the room is abundantly evident as they all await her response, anticipation amongst them all. Because who would do such a thing, and so strategically placed on the day

The woman only shakes her head, and this time a man appears beside her, based on the way he’s dressed— Bakugou would have to guess he’s a plumber of some sort, but the man simply explains, “we think it’s an issue with the boiler room.” 

Bakugou finds himself rolling his eyes, “then why are you still here?” He turns to the rest of the room, “get on with the briefing and get the damn plumber down there.” He grumbles out, before taking a seat once more and redirecting his attention back to the chief, gesturing for him to carry on with his presentation. All the while Izuku is apologizing rather profusely for his attitude.

Now, crime had worsened exponentially after All Might’s downfall. It’s not that other heroes were suddenly less capable, although some were discouraged by the fall of the greatest hero. It’s just that All Might was a symbol. Even years after the fact, Bakugou could still see it. Things had changed. Although in recent times, crime had lessened thanks to the work of today’s Pro Heroes, there were still… issues.

Many had gone the vigilante route as a result of the League of Villains and Stain— and speaking of Stain, there had been several copycats over the years, people who agreed with his ideals and his actions. Which is what brought them here. The issue at hand was this most recent copycat was… decent. Most of the time it was amateurs who didn’t plan that far ahead, quick and easy to catch with minimal casualties, if any. 

Essentially, the police had nothing on him. Just a list of his victims and what they had in common. They were underground heroes, like that of his own teacher from UA, but something about them seemed off, different from what they’d seen in other copycats in the past. They weren’t like the flashy heroes you would find, the ones who seemed… fake. The ones most targeted because they fit Stain’s idea of a false hero.

And even then, there was no being sure which were the victims of this copycat and which were that of others. As the anniversary of Stain’s capture grew closer, more attacks were popping up. 

Shaking away these thoughts, Bakugou grimaces. All he had gotten from that briefing was that they knew nothing, had done nothing, and were going nowhere. Which wasn’t necessarily encouraging. So far, there were four confirmed victims of the copycat, and three additional deaths that were viewed as possible victims of the copycat. Technically, one of the copycats, but that wasn’t something he necessarily wanted to think about. 

Yeah, he would definitely be taking those vacation days.

Fall For Me: Part 2 (Keigo Takami x Reader)

Summary: After seeing Keigo the day before you really missed him waking up the next morning. You spend your Saturday in front of the TV watching the Hero Conventions Opening and texting with Haru. You couldn’t wait to see Keigo later when he would patrol your street again.

As I woke up the next morning, I wished I could just go back to sleep. I haven’t missed anyone this much ever since my first pet had died from old age. I nuzzled my face against the feather and sighed.

“I miss you, Keigo”, I whispered.

I was being so obvious but I wasn’t even embarrassed to admit it anymore. I just wished I could see him. My heart was fluttering just thinking about him. I knew that I fell for him and I decided not to fight against it anymore since I had the feeling he was maybe feeling the same way. As the feather tickled my nose I had to giggle. It somehow made me really happy to know that he had heard me. I sat up and stretched my arms before I put the chain around my neck. Today was just going to be a lazy day consisting of me sitting on the couch in jogging pants and an oversized shirt while eating Ice cream and watching way too many episodes of some show. I changed into the just mentioned clothes and dragged myself to the kitchen. Grabbing the cereal box on top of the fridge and milk, I prepared a bowl of cereal before I made my way to the couch. I turned on the TV to see that the news was currently running. I began to eat while curiously watching the news.

“Today we are reporting live from the Hero Conventions Opening. Some of the Heros have already arrived to attend the opening ceremony. We will be broadcasting the ceremony as soon as it starts. So stay tuned”, the reporter said and I smiled as I saw people wearing Hawks merchandise in the crowd.

I also should get myself a shirt to show my support and maybe also to tease Keigo. I finished my bowl of cereal and brought the dished back into the kitchen. I just put them into the sink. I would just washing them later. Returning to the couch I checked my phone and saw that I had received a message from Haru.

Haru: Hey did you see the news? They are broadcasting the opening. Do you think Hawks will be there?

You: I don’t know. But seeing so many people wear his merchandise I’m pretty sure he will be attending.

Haru: Can’t you just ask him?

You: I don’t even have his number, Haru

Shortly after I had send that message my phone rang. It was Haru.

“YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE HIS NUMBER??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?”, he screamed through the phone and I had to move it away from my ear to not lose my ability to hear.

“Jesus Christ, Haru! Chill. I didn’t have the opportunity to ask him yet.”, I answered truthfully.

“This is not how I taught you. Did you see him again?”

“Yes I did.”

“And you couldn’t ask him for such a simple thing? YOU HAVE HIS FREAKING FEATHER. ASKING FOR HIS NUMBER SHOULDN’T BE THAT HARD”

I was sure that I was going deaf now. My ear was starting to hurt from listening to him scream at me.

“IT’S NOT THAT EASY HARU. I WANTED TO BUT THEN HE KISSED MY FOREHEAD AND MY MIND WENT BLANK”, I screamed back into the phone, giving him a taste of his own medicine.

“He…Hawks kissed your forehead. Of course he did. Well that explains things. But you should really ask him the next time you see him”

“I will. I promise, Haru”, I said and placed my hand on my heart swearing on my words even though I knew he couldn’t see me.

“Alright then. Oh look. The ceremony started”, he said and I looked at the TV screen again.

“Oh yeah. Then I’ll see you on Monday”

“See you then Y/N. Remember to ask him when you see him again. And also…don’t do anything I wouldn’t do”, he answered and I could almost see his smirk before me.

“HARU. God, I hate you. Bye”, I rolled my eyes.

“Bye”

The call ended and I focused on the TV screen in front of me. The tv station showed a lot of recordings of the current crowd and the Hero Convention Center in general before they switched to the stage. It was currently still empty before a host got onto the stage. The crowd was already going crazy.

“Hello everybody here at the convention center and at home watching the broadcast on TV. Today we are opening the first Hero Convention, where fans and heros can get the chance to meet each other, take photos, talk and get autographs. To celebrate this occasion, we invited a few of your favorite heros to say a few words on this beautiful day. I’m sure you all are waiting for our number one and two pro heros. Let’s give them a big applause. Welcome Endeavor and Hawks”

The crowd was absolutely losing it now. Endeavor and Hawks got onto the stage and waved at the crowd. The host gave the microphone to Endeavor first so he could talk to his fans. I wasn’t really paying attention to his probably really well prepared speech cause I was way too distracted by Keigo. The way he was just standing there, his wings puffed up a little bit making him look even more mesmerizing. He was watching Endeavor as he was talking and snatched the mic away from him after he had talked for a long time. I had to giggle at his childish behavior. God I really loved him. Listening to Hawks little speech was almost impossible since the crowd suddenly got so loud. I totally understood that. Keigo was just way too popular and not just because he was a great hero. He really was extremely handsome and attractive and I still couldn’t believe that Keigo seemed to be interested in me. I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn’t even notice that the broadcast was almost over. I looked at the TV screen to see that Hawks speech was already over and that a few other heros had entered the stage now. The ceremony didn’t last long and soon the heros scattered in the big halls of the Hero Convention Center and started to interact directly with their fans. I was a bit jealous when I saw the amount of people that were standing in line to meet Hawks and talk to him. I decided to change the station and landed on a channel that was playing an old tv show that I used to watch with my parents a lot when I was a kid. Feeling really nostalgic I made myself comfortable and dived back into the plot of the show. Time was passing by way too fast. It was already past 4pm when I decided to move my lazy ass from the couch to the kitchen to eat something. After deciding on just going with ordering a pizza since I was too lazy to cook something, I plopped back down on my couch waiting for the food to arrive. It didn’t take long until my doorbell rang. I went to get the pizza and then returned back to my place on the couch. The rest of the day suddenly passed by really slowly. While I was watching TV or scrolled through my phone I would occasionally look at the clock to see what time it was. Hawks would patrol our street at around 6pm so I still had to wait for 1 more hour. I just couldn’t wait to see him again. Focused on my phone I heard the commotion on the street and instantly knew what was going on. I think I never sprinted faster to my window than today. I opened it and leaned outside to see Hawks being surrounded by children again. As soon as I saw that I almost automatically placed my hand on his feather and watched him turn his head into my direction. He smiled and waved. The children also turned into my direction with a confused look. Keigo got onto his knees and whispered something to a little boy. Shortly after that I watched that boy run towards the building I was living in. He stopped in front of the window and looked up at me.

“Hawks told me to tell you to come down and join him”, the little boy screamed at me so I could hear him.

“I’m not even wearing something presentable”, I whispered looking down at myself dressed in a way too big shirt and my pair of jogging pants.

I looked at Keigo who just smiled at me and signaled me to get down and join him. I rolled my eyes.

“I’ll be right down.”, I said towards the boy and saw him smile before he turned towards Keigo who showed him a thumbs up.

I at least changed my shirt into something more presentable before I left the apartment. The little boy was still standing in front of the building waiting for me.

“Here I am”, I laughed as I arrived next to him.

“Come”, the little boy said and grabbed my hand before he dragged me to Keigo and the others.

I felt really shy as I arrived at the little crowd and shyly stepped closer to Keigo. He just stood there smiling at me before he grabbed my hand trying to show me that there was no reason to be nervous. A young girl looked between us and then stepped closer to me.

“You have one of his feathers. Does that mean you are Hawks girlfriend?”, she asked and suddenly I had way too many pairs of eyes on me.

“Uhm…”, I said and helplessly looked to Keigo.

My heart was beating out of my chest. If I would say yes that would maybe make things awkward because I would somehow feel like I was forcing myself on Keigo which I really didn’t want to do. But if I said no he might misunderstand me and think that I just wanted to be friends with him. Either way anything I would answer would make things complicated. Keigo squeezed my hand as if he knew what I was thinking about and then got on his knees so he would be on the same level as the girl.

“Yeah…she is”, he said almost sounding proud and then looked at me.

His cheeks were painted in a light rosé and my cheeks felt like they were colored in a burning dark red. The girl took another step towards me and held her arms out reaching for me as if she wanted me to carry her. I lifted her up and she giggled.

“You are really pretty”, she then said grabbing a strand of lose hair, combing it with her little hands and smiled at me.

“Thank you. You are really pretty too”, I complimented her back and playfully booped her nose.

She giggled and then looked at Keigo.

“Take care of her”, she said towards him and Keigos blush darkened.

“I will, I promise”, he assured and watched me place the girl back on her feet.

The little girl insisted on taking a picture with me and Keigo and of course we couldn’t say no to that request. After taking a few more pictures, we talked a little bit more with the children before we said goodbye. Keigo and I walked back to my apartment in complete silence. It felt a little bit awkward. I opened the door and stepped into the apartment after Keigo had hesitated a bit to go in. As soon as the door had closed behind us he turned towards me.

“I’m sorry if I dragged you out of your comfort zone”, he apologized.

“No, it’s fine. It was nice to talk with the kids.”, I reassured.

I mindlessly reached out and softly pet Keigos head. What I didn’t expect was that his face instantly flushed and he tried to hide his red cheeks in his coat. I retreated my hand and watched him being a flustered mess. I stepped closer to him while he hid his face with one of his hands.

“You ok?”, I asked and watched him peak through his fingers at me.

“Don’t do that without warning me”, he mumbled before he moved his hand away from his face revealing his dark red cheeks.

“Ok. I won’t do that again”

“I didn’t say you couldn’t”, he mumbled under his breath which made me smile.

It was silent for a little bit while Keigos blush slowly faded. He regained his posture and cleared he throat before he began to speak again.

“If I made you uncomfortable by calling you my girlfriend in front of the children then I’m sorry. I just saw those sparkling eyes of that little girl while she was looking at you as if you were her hero and I couldn’t disappoint her. I hope you didn’t feel offended by that”, he said and awkwardly scratched his neck.

Oh. So he just said that to make the girl happy? It really made me think. Of course it was like that. I mean…how could the number two pro hero fall for a girl like me. I brushed it off with a smile and some giggles.

“Oh don’t worry. It’s ok. I didn’t take it that serious”, I said and regretted saying that last bit after I suddenly saw Keigos happy face drop to an indescribable expression.

Did my words just hurt him? He was quiet and didn’t say anything. He looked like I had just crushed his heart in my hands leaving nothing but dust behind.

“Keigo?”, I asked placing a hand on his shoulder which made him flinch a bit.

I really felt bad now. He looked so sad and hurt it made my heart hurt too. I stepped closer to him and cautiously wrapped my arms around him pulling him into a hug. He hesitated for a second before he slowly put his arms around me too. He was still quiet while we hugged each other.

“Forget what I said, okay? I didn’t mean it like that”

Keigo still stayed quiet and I felt his grip tighten around me.

“Shit, I’m an idiot. I like you…I really do”, I whispered my confession and just hoped that I didn’t fuck this up already.

“I misunderstood you. I thought you only told the girl I was your girlfriend because you wanted to give her a pleasing answer, but I understand now. So please don’t look this sad anymore.”, I added and noticed Keigos grip around me loosen. We separated from the hug and he looked at me.

“I would never joke around with that. Ever”, he claimed.

I saw that he really meant what he was saying.

“I know that I don’t look like the sentimental type of guy with my habit of flirting around a lot but if it comes to my feelings…I just don’t have control over them.”, he explained and looked down at me.

“I understand Keigo. You don’t have to explain yourself”

I grabbed his hands and softly squeezed them. A small smile appeared on his face again.

“Are we good again? Or is there still something I can do to make you feel better again?”, I asked just to make sure that there was nothing unspoken between us.

“I think some cuddles would make me feel a lot better again, babybird”, he answered and winked at me.

I guess he was back to his old form. I let go of his hands and grabbed his coat starting to take it off.

“I’m sure that can be arranged”, I smirked as I noticed his cheeks blush a little bit again.

I helped him out of his coat and watched him as he took off his glasses and gloves. We walked into the apartment and I followed Keigo to the couch where he plopped down and pat his lap.

“Come here”, he said and I shook my head rolling my eyes.

“You wish. I make the rules here”, I answered and watched his eyes widen.

“Alright. I’m listening”

I had to laugh. I laid down on the other end of the couch with my back leaning against a pillow and signaled him to come and lay down on top of me. He hesitated a bit before he crawled over and laid down. Keigo placed his head on my chest, wrapping his arms around my waist and folding his wings so they almost functioned like a blanket. I placed one hand in his hair and the other on his back, making sure I wouldn’t touch his wings.

“Are you satisfied?”, I asked him.

“Yes. This is really comfortable”, he mumbled and snuggled even closer if that was even possible.

It was silent for some time until Keigo began to quietly speak again.

“You know…I have never felt this way so I don’t really know how to act around you. If I’m doing something wrong or if I’m rushing you too much you need to tell me”

“Oh Keigo. This is just as new for me as it is for you. I’m not that good at expressing my feelings but I will try to show you how much I care for you.”, I whispered and softly kissed his head.

He turned his head towards me and smiled before he quickly pressed a soft kiss to my cheek.

“I will try my best too”, he whispered back and placed his head on my chest again.

I was sure that he was able to hear my heart hammer against my chest now but I didn’t really care. If it assured him how I felt for him then I didn’t mind. We laid on the couch for a little bit longer until I noticed that Keigo looked really sleepy. I turned my head so I could take a better look at his face.

“Are you tired?”, I asked quietly so I wouldn’t startle him.

“Hmm…”, he hummed and yawned.

I was thinking about asking him to stay with me even though I was sure that this was a bit rushed. Keigo removed his arms from around me and pushed himself up to sit. He rubbed his eyes and then looked at me.

“I should get going before I fall asleep while flying home.”, he said laughing and stretched himself before he got up from the couch.

“You don’t have to go…”, I started talking and watched him turn towards me again.

“You could just stay here…if you want to”

Zuko x f!Reader fic (cont’d)

Hey, do you ever feel like the comics royally screwed over sweet Zuko in The Love Department ™? Me, too. Here's a Zuko/female reader fic to dull the pain. This follows the comics pretty closely, just trying to weave in one extra Kyoshi Warrior (guess who), traveling to the Fire Nation with Suki, Ty Lee and the rest of the warriors to serve as Prince Zuko's personal guard. I think you can guess where this is going.

II. 

THE ROCKING OF THE SHIP made it difficult for Y/N to write as she attempted to scribble some sort of explanation to Haru as to why she wouldn’t be coming to see him any time soon. Already frustrated at her inability to write something… meaningful, she cursed herself for leaving this letter to the last minute. She ended the letter with a request for Haru to send her love to the people of her town, and set off sprinting to find a messenger hawk. Ty Lee had warned her that the ship was nearing the Capitol ages ago. There couldn’t be much time left before Suki would be calling them into formation. 

Y/N burst through the doors to the galley, skidding to a halt. She grabbed the nearest hawk and placed it on her arm. Surveying the various canisters, she snatched one with a black ribbon, and began stuffing the letter inside, crumpling it mercilessly. A voice from behind startled her.

“An urgent black ribbon for a message to your boyfriend, Y/N? Don’t you think that’s abusing the Fire Nation’s messenger hawk system?” Y/N whipped around to see Ty Lee grinning behind her. Y/N blushed as she intensified her violent attempts to stuff the note in the canister. 

“The letter is garbage, Ty Lee. It’s basically a bunch of excuses. ��Hi Haru! Sorry! I’m running off to the Fire Nation to avoid figuring out what we are. P.S please tell everyone I miss them sooo much... but apparently not enough to visit’. At least the black ribbon shows that it’s important to me, even if the message doesn’t… get… that... across!” Y/N said with a grunt, as she finally managed to cap the canister. She secured the message to the hawk’s harness, and the two ran from the ship's interior to the sun-bathed deck, where the Kiyoshi Warriors had already assembled. Y/N signaled for the hawk to take flight, and she and Ty Lee skidded into formation, filling their spots in the front row as Suki gave direction.

“When we arrive, the first six of us will be going with Mai directly to the palace to begin tonight’s watch. The other six will be escorted to our quarters to rest up for tomorrow. For now, we watch in two shifts: Twelve hours on, twelve hours off.” 

She nodded to the group and fell into place next to Ty Lee. 

“Wow, I’ve never known you guys to be anything but early” Suki whispered playfully as they waited to disembark.

“You can thank Y/N for putting off writing to Haru to the last minute,” quipped Ty Lee.

A blush appeared on Y/N’s neck. 

“I just… didn’t know what to say”. Out of the corner of her eye, Y/N saw Suki shoot her a sad glance. “It also didn’t help that I spent the first few hours of our trip Chi blocked. You’re welcome, by the way, Ty Lee” she added lightheartedly.  

Their conversation was cut short by the sound of the ship’s hull lowering to reveal Fire Nation soil before them. Suki led the group off the ship and on to the docks. Suddenly, Ty Lee broke away from the group. 

“MAI!” she screamed, flinging themselves into her friend’s arms. 

The rest of the group approached Mai and bowed. Suki stepped forward. 

“Hey, Mai! It’s good to see you! How is he doing?” she asked, her tone betraying her concern. 

“I just got word that he’s back from Yu Dao. I haven’t seen him yet, but I know where he’ll be. Follow me”. The group quickly made their way to the Fire Nation Palace. Y/N’s eyes grew wide at the sights of the city. She had seen big cities before - Omashu, Ba Sing Se, but she had never been outside of the Earth Kingdom. While she was no stranger to the grandeur that characterized city life, she found herself in awe of the sheer beauty of Fire Nation culture, and her surroundings. The palace, an overwhelming sight to anyone, struck particular concern with the Warrior’s instinct in her: How were they supposed to keep someone safe in a place as massive as this?

The group came to a stop behind a curtained doorway. Mai turned to Suki.

“Give me a minute with him,” she said softly, stepping through the curtain. 

“So the Fire Lord has returned…”. Her voice trailed off. From the other room, the Warriors could hear the sounds of two stern voices. Suki and Ty Lee cast each other a knowing look. After a moment, they heard the sound of footsteps, and Mai’s voice once more: “You’re the Fire Lord, you need real security”. 

From the room emerged Mai and, who Y/N could only assume to be, the Fire Lord. “So I asked some friends to come help” finished Mai, smiling proudly.

The group had left the throne room and retreated to Fire Lord Zuko’s office. Suki, Ty Lee, Mai, and the Fire Lord were gathered around his desk, hunched over plans and maps of the palace. The remaining warriors were posted at the door. From her post, Y/N listened to Suki's explanation. 

“...Twelve hour shifts, six warriors per shift. Two warriors by your side at all times, two patrolling the interior of the palace, and two warriors patrolling the grounds. Mai got me in touch with your head of security and...” 

Y/N’s focus waived from Suki’s words. She studied the Fire Lord, not sure of what to expect from him. Part of him seemed like any normal teenager; a little grumpy, a little angsty, and completely whipped for his girlfriend. There was something else about him, though, that caught her interest. Something in his eyes, and something about his presence made it abundantly clear he had been through more in his life than most people his age. Above all, he looked like he hadn’t slept in years. 

“... I figure tonight we’ll have Ty Lee work with both the patrol groups, helping them become acclimated with the palace and grounds. Y/N and I will be posted at your door all night. Does that sound like a plan?” At the mention of her name Y/N’s focus had snapped back to Suki’s words. “Yeah, that sounds great. Thank you so much... Suki, for arranging all of this...” said the Fire Lord. His exhaustion was apparent in his tone. “If we need to make adjustments, we can tomorrow, but I’m beat. Give me a moment with Mai. I’ll meet you outside”. The Kyoshi Warriors exited the room, received their assignments, and prepared for their first night on watch.

Alright! So here is the list of things I write for. Keep in mind that I will write smut and sexual themes, but If I don’t think it fits or if there is something that makes me uncomfortable, I won’t write it. I will write AU’s, romantic and platonic. I suppose the golden color of Haru's little wings aren't just for show? ❤ Lately, I've been thinking of the perfect match for Hawks's quirk being more powerful: mixing it with a stronger one like diamond or another metal. Imagine Hawks's wings being indestructible, but harder to control. It's just a guess however ! I can be wrong ! #nuggetFamily

Well, my first thought was making his wings black or similar to the reader's hair, but I didn't want to give physical traits to the reader, soooo making Haru's wings look like Hawks's hair sounded good, at least in my head. And making them dark red on the underside and the tip of the feathers sounded kinda cool tbh 😂. Regarding the wings material, they're just as Hawks buuuuuut I'm planning to make them a bit bigger. It is also important to say that I have something a little angsty on my head so you will have to wait and see 👀👀👀
