For as long as anyone could remember little Y/N Fisher has had her brother's wrapped around her little fingers since day one. Even though Jeremiah and Conrad would never admitted it, everyone else knew just by seeing how much their loved and cared for the youngest Fisher.

Susannah remembered almost like it was yesterday when the boys first met their little sister. It was one of her favourite memories. Jeremiah was jumping up and down almost hitting the walls with excitement, while Conrad was sitting nervously in the waiting room along with Laurel and their father.

He didn't know why he was so nervous. He wasn't this nervous when Jeremiah was born, so why is now any different? Conrad's thoughts were interrupted when his mother's midwife came into the waiting room. "Mr Fisher, everyone I would like to say that mom is doing ok and that little miss babygirl is healthy and beautiful" She smiled.

Everyone is the room (mainly the grown ups though) let out a sigh of relief, they'd didn't even know they were holding. Jeremiah took off running along with their father running after him, when the midwife said that it was okay for them to see the new Fisher slibing and their mother. Conrad didn't move from his spot after hearing the news. His fears of being a older brother clouding his mind.

'What if I drop her?''

A whole bunch of what ifs, kept occurring in his mind. It almost felt like he was drowning in his thoughts and fears. It wasn't until Laurel put a comforting hand on his shoulder, startling the young Fisher boy. "You ok, sweetie? Your looking a little pale?" Conrad looked down, avoiding her concerned gaze. He didn't want to bother her but deep down he knew he needed to talk about this. "I-um... I feel like I'm going to mess up with this whole older brother thing" He said quietly, as he started to play with his fingers.

"Oh, Conrad" Laurel said lovingly, as she took the sit next to the boy to comfort him. "Your gonna be the best big brother that little girl could ask for. And you wanna know how I know that?" The boy mumbled a 'yes'. "I know this because I've seen how you looked after Jeremiah, Steven and belly. She's not gonna hate you. She's going to adore her older brother because she would know that he would always be there for her no matter what happens"

Conrad looked up at laurel, tears forming in his eyes before he lunged into her arms. Laurel chuckled before hugging the boy tightly. "Now, go see your baby sister before Jeremiah takes the role of 'best older brother'" She whispered into his ear. Conrad quickly let go of the hug and took off running to see his new sister.

That day Conrad and Jeremiah made a promise to Y/N. A promise to always be there for her when she needed them and to never make her feel sad, but that promise was soon broken when Conrad started to push away. Everyone noticed that something was up with him but they just thought it was just girl problems or college.

Y/N's little feet could be heard on the hard wooden floors as she made her way to the living room to find atleast one of her brothers. As she made her way, her doe eyes spotted Conrad trying to fall asleep on the couch. A wide smile made its way onto her face as she squealed "CONNIE!!"

Conrad only grumbled in response which confused the five year old as her older brother usually always picked her up and tickled her. "You okie, Connie?" Y/N tilted her head cutely as she questioned her brother. "It's nothing for you to worry about. Now go away" Conrad demanded even though deep down he didn't mean too. "But mommy said to always look after-" Before Y/N could finish Conrad snapped. "For the love of God, Y/N! would you just shut up for 5 minutes?! I already told you not to worry about it so just butt out of it!" As soon as the words left his mouth he regretted them.

"No- Y/N... I didn't mean it-" Conrad tried to move closer to her but she just backed away from him, too scared. The look on her face and the fact she was scared of him broke his heart. Before he could say another word, she bolted out of the living room and went start up to her room. Conrad put his face into the palm of his hands as he mentally cursed himself for being the reason to make his little sister cry. He broke his promise.

Jeremiah soon came into the living room, a confused look written on his face because usually Y/N would always met him at the door when he comes home. "Hey, Conrad? Where's Y/N/N?" Confusion was just as much in his voice as it was on his face. And when Conrad didn't answer straight away, Jeremiah started to think of the worse. "Conrad... where the fuck is Y/N?" Conrad knew that he had to answer sooner or later cause soon Jeremiah might start a murder hunt looking for their sister.

"I-I fucked up jere... I mean, I really fucked up" Conrad's voice finally spoke. "She just asked a simple question and I-I just snapped at her, Jere. I really didn't mean too, I was just so tried and stressed because of the college shit and I-"

"I broke our promise Jere"

Jeremiah was beyond mad at his brother but deep down he knew it wasn't his fault. "Look, Conrad, its not your fault. I mean, yeah you yelled at our five year old sister but I pretty much broke the promise too" Conrad looked up at his brother through teary eyes, basically giving him a sign to continue. "A few weeks ago, I promised to play with her but I said that I was too busy even though it was just a lie. The look on her face was heartbreaking, couldn't sleep with a week after that" Jeremiah chuckled at the end of it, same with Conrad.

"We're assholes"

"Agreed"

Both brothers laugh before it became silent again. "But you better never do this again though or else gonna kick your ass, bro" Jeremiah's threat would scare anyone else but Conrad knew that he was just looking out for their sister. And they both knew how protective they were over her.

It was a few minutes until they heard little feet coming down the stairs. "JereJere? Connie?" Both brothers looked up to see Y/N holding her stuffed rabbit that Jeremiah won her at a carnival a year or 2 ago. It was one of the happiest days for the Fisher silbings. They both remember the look on Y/N's face when Jeremiah won the rabbit, she had the biggest smile on her face despite the strawberry ice-cream all over her face.

"You guys, okie? Do you need to hug Mr. Cuddles?" She held up the stuffed rabbit towards her brothers. Both boys laugh aloud at how cute their little sister is. "Yes we would love to hug Mr. Cuddles but we also like to hug our darling Y/N/N and apologies?" The youngest Fisher girl made a some what thinking face before jumping onto her brothers.

"Look we're so, so, so sorry Y/N/N. And I didn't mean to snap at you it was very mean-" Before Conrad could add on Jeremiah cut in. "And I'm seriously very sorry about not playing with you and I'll make sure to play with you all day tomorrow" Before either boy could finish or continue, they heard soft snores coming from the youngest Fisher curled up in between them.

Both Fisher boys smile softly, before closing their eyes and soon falling into a deep sleep. Y/N opened her sleepy eyes and softly kissed both her brothers checks before mumbling a "I forgive you" and soon going into a deep sleep along side her brothers.

my stance on this is: aegon would have thought viserys was an idiot for not just marrying rhaenyra and aegon to each other.

bc……on the one hand it’s not like he makes rhaena aenys’ heir, does he? and while visenya is older, it’s aegon that rules their house. it’s not out of the realm of possibility that aegon would agree with jaehaerys that only male line men should be allowed on the iron throne, but even if he doesn’t feel that way, aegon being king rests on male preference primogeniture, and aegon isn’t a cousin, aegon is just second born (like the conqueror is).

on the other hand, aegon gives his wives ruling power - even visenya, tho they are not fond of each other, makes her own laws, and he doesn’t seem to force her to his bed, or even force her to spend time with him at all. and he like, actively hates maegor lmao so far be it for aegon to judge someone for going with their favorite child as their heir when that’s literally what he does with aenys & rhaenys’ line.

he, like viserys, makes it real clear who his favored heir is, and refuses to change his mind no matter what anyone says. i think he would respect viserys choosing his heir and digging his heels in about it, but in the end i think he would have felt like “well first born boy is king but he marries first born girl and she’s a ruling queen so what’s the problem” and would have wanted the two competing lines to marry. because for aegon’s part - rather than disrespect his older sister by marrying his younger, he just married them both. part of his annoyance at maegor wanting to marry rhaena may very well have been that he hoped rhaena would marry a younger brother, and be queen that way like visenya was, vs with maegor, it’s less likely she’s queen (bc he has no intention of making maegor king ever). so like, in the end, i think aegon is (rightly) laying blame at viserys’ feet more than he’s choosing a side. like, aegon certainly has his own problems but line of successions is not one of them lmao, he makes what he wants real clear when it comes to the aenys—> aegon the uncrowned/rhaena [maegor do Not interact] whole thing, and this problem is just not one he would find himself in. he would have other, equally annoying problems! but not this one.

anyway, like probably technically he supports aegon ii?? but again, what aegon the conqueror is probably thinking while watching all of this is “why the fuck didn’t rhaenyra and aegon just marry.” hell he’s probably thinking “why the fuck didn’t rhaenys and viserys marry, aemon was alive for years and only had the one daughter, why would you not marry her to the next male relative in that case” so!

but he loves the chaotic, crack head, stupid ones especially

they match his energy and he thinks they're super cute

i feel like he (along with mountain) were the types as kits to bring in random animals like raccoons, opossums, etc and then just carry it around

like bring the animals to [the] papa[s] and just be like "look what i caught! can we keep him?!"

he has a red lava lamp that he once got for christmas from sodo in his room but it doesn't work right bc he shook it up

as a kit, he used to google different ways to prank people and he'd go on chaos sprees (commonly joined by dew as well)

he wasn't really close with any of the ghouls or ghoulettes specifically when he was new to them

To answer your question about "how a selfcest plot works out", I'm assuming you're asking about the relationship aspect, aka how their feelings come to be acknowledged? 👀

In that case, truthfully, I have no idea. LMAO. 😂

Actually no that's not right. Hmm. I mean. When I came up with this AU and decided to categorize it as "selfcest", the only thing in my mind was that: I wanted to see Nico love himself.

So, intrinsically, I suppose it might be a little different from what you might consider a typical romance? - the same way I sometimes go for the peculiar, rare, unnamed types of love. In this case, the important thing - the thing for which I built this whole AU and everything around it - is that Nico getting to show himself what love is.

The love in this, to me, is not technically like typical mainstream romances (of kisses and lovemaking etc...), but rather something about to cherish, to protect, to pray for the other's happiness, sometimes to hate as a result, and to fall.

Abstract, I know. I don't understand half of the things I wrote either. (And to think that I project my own self-esteem problem onto it...)

Anyway, the supreme repertoire of this AU is: the Older Nico showing his younger self that he deserves to be loved and could be selfish - because no one else has done it for him and selfishness is the peak unhealthy self-love - and thus, somewhat salvaging himself from the mistreatment he received in his lifetime.

Rather than romance, let's just say it's cherishing.

So, what about the Young Nico? How does he feel about this?

This is actually an angst pool I like to swim in, but like water, I can't properly get it out.

Let's just put ourselves in yNico's shoes. You have someone who treasures you so much it's unhealthy, and from said affection sprouts their wrongdoings. You can somewhat realize they're at wrong, but they're so nice to you, trying so hard for your sake, and suddenly the weight is on your shoulders.

It's already so complicated.

And to think that said person is your future self? That everything they do is just for your own good? That you sometimes want to trust them - over anything else, knowing nothing good would come out of it? That you have to choose between yourself and what's supposed to be "good"?

It's a can of worms I've yet to unpack. If I were to write this down it'd be a 20-something chapter of 100kw self-doubts and manipulation, for which I abs do not have the willpower.

BUT, let's just ask: Can you even call it love?

Again, it depends on what, exactly, you consider love. In this case, the gratitude is definitely there, the affection is def there - how can it not? when the F!Nico is the one teaching him about love, the desire to hold onto is def there; but the conflicts are also there (bc yeah I just have to make F!Nico an antagonist sue me), the doubts, and the "I wish it didn't have to come to this".

That, in a way, you give up on it, but you'd still be willing to give it a chance - if only there was one: The Young Nico treasures the precious things his future self has taught him, and he knew he had to give up on that, yet he couldn't stop himself from holding on.

Ah I love the blurring borders of love.

If you've followed me long enough, you'd probably realize that I don't always follow the definition of mainstream love/romance. In fact, when I say that "these two are in love", it's hardly ever about them wanting to kiss or lay around in the sheets, but rather them having a deep connection - whether it's by hatred, a grudge, a type of co-dependency, etc...

The term of "selfcest" itself, whilst posing as a couple tag, is used by me to indicate a connection, a somewhat attraction, and not completely a romance of normal standards. ❤🎇✨

vace is v fun bc even post therapy he’s still kind of The Way He Is you know. (in the pringles jar) and i think on the surface someone who’s easy-going is the easy solution but i don’t think someone who isn’t driven would appeal to him at all? so rather than easy-going it’s like... someone who doesn’t hold what he does against him

i do think it’s extremely funny if at first he dates people who are very much like rex and sol (assuming golden run where he and rex make up wwww) and then later on the person he ends up w/long term is Not Like That. these two things were essentially my thesis statement in making lin  WWWWWWWW

lin is essentially like. i don’t care if you fuck up. i do however care if you just leave the mess behind and in fact i care about that Very Fucking Much, Do Not Do It. a non-therapized vace appeals to him 0 percent past looks. a post therapy vace who is constantly fucking up but trying about it? very much his type. (get help bro)

augment is “clear-headed” -- doesn’t get swept away by his emotions, able to keep a level head in every single situations. essentially, there’s a wall between “him” and “his feelings”. in theory this means he’s got a cool head and is great at problem solving... which is true in practice as well! what WASNT part of the theory was, uh, the fact that bc he’s like that he’s not v good at dealing w/ppl who DO get swept away. kind of isolated from most people as a result but he’s dealing w/it.*

hes the one who asks vace out lol. theres definitely a moment where vace is like “i wont ask you out i dont want to make it weird when you’re only here to do a job” and lin is like. ok cool. i will make it weird instead. go out with me. and vace is like.

good together for a number of reasons. lin helps vace when he’s upset bc he tends to focus immediately on “how do we fix this” (robotics guy) which helps vace channel his shit productively. open + good communicator mostly bc he thinks being cagey is annoying. v good at framing rship conflict as “him and vace against smth else”. 

on the flipside, vace being so emotive is like... kind of fascinating for him (guy who has Never Once been swept away). helps him get better at empathizing with other ppl + be more patient (lol). also on a practical level lin is not. great at taking care of himself (does basically the bare minimum to keep himself going) and mr i wanna protect the ppl i love! olivaceous is like. you are going to eat three meals a day actually.

i know ive said this before but if i see anymore zelink art i think im simply going to lose my mind it makes me. feel physically ill which i know is literally Just a me problem bc i made up a story abt a zelda game when i was younger which…alright. wait. ill explain. when i was a kid, the first zelda game i played was windwaker for the gamecube, and at that point i didnt even know zelda was a series bc id never heard abt it before. so like….okay. in windwaker link has a sister, who we only see briefly in the beginning of the game before she gets kidnapped, and the rest of the game we spend trying to get her back…i think. ive never actually finished the game before which brings me to my next point; i never found out who zelda was in this game, and since id never played any of the previous games i didnt know she was a princess. i had no idea. but you see…this is where my problem comes in. zelda is a blonde hylian; links sister is also a blonde hylian. link is their common bond, and i, in the mind of like idk a seven year old, connected them as a the same character. and for years, YEARS, i thought that in that iteration of the game (after i figured out theyre all connected) i thought that zelda was links sister in that game. i imagined a whole story that she was kidnapped bc she was the princess (the princess belief came a few years later after i like. met zelda in a different game) and didnt know it yet or something and i believed, fully and truly believed, that link and zelda are siblings. i held this belief for like..18 or 19 years, by the way, because i never EVER found out who zelda was in windwaker until i bought a zelda encyclopedia a couple years ago. for almost 2 decades i thought they were siblings. like…my whole view of this series and their relationship is skewed bc i made up a whole story abt who the characters were bc i simply never found out otherwise omg….. can u imagine my shock when im reading through my encyclopedia only to find out zeldas a whole different character. that links sister is not zelda. it literally rocked me. everything made so much more sense but like ill literally NEVER be able to see them as anything else. theyre siblings to me forever & ever even tho i know that they arent. and like….anyways. let me illustrate this in a linear way. im 7 years old -> i play winwaker for the first time -> i see links sister -> i never make it far enough to see zelda -> years go on and the only other blonde hylian that has ANY significance is zelda -> i assume links sister = zelda for almost 20 years. oh. my god. i literally wouldnt think this if i simply got further but windwaker is hard and i was just a little kid at the time like. man…….

Ok so like my issue is that I have so many AUs revolving my oc that I can’t give a set story or even anything definitive abt how they fit into the timeline so imma just give interesting factoids or whatever;

-batcat kid but specifically an Afro Cuban Selina so the kids afro cuban

-I can’t decide on a gender BUT for names I’m thinking Simón (like See-Mon) but I change my mind by the hour so

-I think their specialty would be stealth and info gathering on a street level as opposed to online. Like I think they’d have the hiding in plain sight thing totally down and they don’t do stakeouts cause they can literally sneak in anywhere when they feel like it.

-Very sticky fingers. Doesn’t even meant to steal shit sometimes and will even return things to their siblings after they notice. Damian goes through an existential crisis when they return a whole fucking sword he didn’t notice was missing.

-Has abandonment issues in the: I’ll screw u over before u screw me over kinda way, and a tendency to run from consequences. Big moment for them is doing smth wrong and instead of hiding or flat out leaving till it’s forgotten, they decide to just stay and take whatever happens. (Whatever they did doesn’t have to be a big deal, maybe like a knocked over vase or whatever; but it’s a big moment in the sense that they feel so secure in not just their place in the fam but the fact that the fam loves them that they can get grounded and be fine or whatever.)

-split up from Selina a lot when it came to escaping or just general wandering for awhile but they always made their way back to eachother. The kind of ppl that can go months without speaking and be completely fine when they come back (tho they absolutely prefer not to and make it a point to see eachother at least thrice a week when the kid gets older)

-Selina’s vv protective of the kid but also doesn’t want them to grow up spoiled and with the ability to survive if smth ever happened to her. She feels like a shitty parent sometimes bc her kid doesn’t seem socially ready for so many things but she can’t help but feel a surge of pride or vindication whenever her kid comes out stronger after something tough. It makes everything worth it when her kid can babble about how they fought off some thug, even if her heart aches as she’s bandaging their bruised knuckles.

-Twin whips. This is me projecting a bit (finding out ppl don’t generally use two nunchucks on the regular after tmnt 2012 fucked me up) but they don’t feel comfortable if they’re not dual wielding. They can’t use one pistol, it’s gotta be two. It just makes them feel unbalanced and unprotected so they follow in their moms footsteps but yknow they had to double it

-big ole eyes. Slightly unsettling. They’re green and if you look at them too fast you could swear their pupils look like slits at times…

-causes problems on purpose and is genuinely surprised by the consequences

-if they ever got caught and genuinely couldn’t escape, Selina would step in but if she thought they could make it out on their own she’d leave some kind of sign or clue as to how to go about it. She’s so proud when they don’t take her cue and escape on their own for the first time.

-is very used to going unnoticed so ppl who are extremely perceptive or pay too much attention to them freaks them out and it makes them kinda defensive. Someone asking about their day will feel like an attempt at getting them to admit to smth and they’ll respond as such.

-don’t know whether to make them younger than Damian or his age for the sheer comedy but either way they get along with him and Duke the most

-starts picking up the caveman grunts from Bruce and everyone is trying to get them out of it. “Let’s use our word sugarplum :)” “Hn.”

-toxic trait is they expect everyone to know what they’re feeling despite looking like they were etched from fucking marble all the time. They genuinely think they’re an open book and don’t understand why Tim doesn’t get that they don’t ACTUALLY hate him they just said that in a fit of rage and it doesn’t matter anymore because it’s over with.

-very go with the flow kinda person tho. “This might as well happen” personified

-smoothtalker to the max, can lie like a fucking rug. Considering their actual blunt kinda awkward personality, watching them lie so smoothly is almost as jarring as watching Batman become brucie wayne.

-if someone talks shit Abt Bruce it’s whatever and same for most of their siblings but they’ll step for Selina and Jason 😭 (spreading my close Selina and Jason agenda btw)

-tells Jason that if he doesn’t take them on a joyride around Gotham, they’ll let themselves get caught in Bristol and tell Selina that he wasn’t watching their back. They get batburger on the way back

-is very black and white at times and they know that ppl CAN change but they’re also not very forgiving. “Fool me once and fuck you I can’t wait to dance on your fucking Grave” kinda thing.

-big moment is them telling Damian or smth “I don’t wanna be mad at you anymore” and forgiving them for smth big. Smth Abt love being worth heartache and smth Abt how ppl can hurt you w/o meaning too but that doesn’t mean they love u any less or whatever.

-that’s kinda all I got

-OH! They’re darkskinned btw. None of that light caramel macchiato swirl yall always do to mixed kids. I’m thinking Eartha Kitt or Harley Quinn show Selina so they’d be somewhere in there with dark hair. ok so idk who to ask abt this so i'm going to shout it into the void. it's going to get long but pls stay w me bc i need advice

i have a very close friend that i love very much who is always sick/injured in some way. i've known her since we were three and we've grown up together. we went to church together for several years, we went to high school together, and we would carpool together every day. my mom and her mom decided to have kids at the same time, so our younger siblings grew up as close friends as well; we joke and call each other our second families. Now, my friend doesn't legally have any disabilities, but she has so many allergies, her college gave her disability housing and accommodations. like she has one of those metal bracelets that lists all her allergies incase she's dying and she couldn't even fit half of them on. she's broken bones, she's twisted joints, she's got a disorder that makes her throat close every time she tries to eat/drink so it's incredibly slow and painful, as well as many other things i'm not going to list here.

The last couple months have been especially hard for her. she had a HUGE ovarian cyst that was literally the size of her bladder (so five times the average size of an ovary) and had to get it surgically removed. Since then, she's been in and out of the hospital pretty regularly, including four times in the last two weeks. these were all for things unrelated to the cyst but it's still concerning bc all of her tests keep coming back normal but there's obviously smth wrong that they can't find.

so my problem is when she tells me abt these things, I'm not sure i'm responding in the right way. i love her so much and thinking abt her having to go through this when i'm not there to help her makes me cry. so when i see on her insta that she's back in the hospital or when she tells me that the drs are going to up her meds again even tho she's already taking 27 pills a day,,, it fills me with fear and dread. the way I cope with hard situations like this is i try to find at least one positive side, silver lining, or thing i can control so it's not all doom and gloom and that's usually how i respond when she updates me. "at least you can still do xyz." "at least you don't have to take xyz medication anymore."

I've been realizing over the past year, but especially over the last couple months, that that might be a pretty ableist way to respond. my intention is to cheer her up and calm us both down, but it might be coming off dismissive of her problems and like i don't care. that is not what i want. what is a way where i can sympathize with her but still try to make her feel better? i know she's my friend and i should know how to do this but i've been responding like that for years just bc it makes me feel better so it's my go to type of response. i love her so much and i want to make her feel better so pls help me out if u can. thx

thinking abt how my ex (the good one) did almost everything someone would want a bf to do - notice small things about me, give thoughtful gifts, plan fun & interesting dates, introduce me to friends & family who were actually nice, drive me to school every time it rained, bring me medicine & snacks every time I’m not feeling well, include me in future plans, communicate consistently, etc. not to mention just keeping me company during one of the toughest times in my adult life, even tho he didn’t know that bc I didn’t tell him anything emotionally vulnerable like that.

But the whole time I was having anxiety attacks & feeling like I was suffocating. We started off as classmates then friends then went on one date because why not and eventually somehow I was just expected to consistently talk to & hang out with this person?? And his life was slowly starting to become my problem?? I had absolutely no one else I wanted to see or whatever but I still felt like my freedom & ability to choose what to do with my time, energy, and life were slowly disappearing. And I was fine with that at first because I hated my life then and just wanted to escape it however I could but soon I realized i was never going to get any happier like this.

I didn’t feel too bad when we broke up because he was the one who brought it up (and did the whole it’s not u it’s me thing) & i felt some sort of way about our age gap (I didn’t feel guilty possibly hurting or just constantly doubting significantly older guys because “they should’ve known better” & “what were they doing trying to date a much younger girl anyway” which now that I think about it is probs why I exclusively dated older men). But these days I’ve been questioning my sexuality (once again lmao) and don’t know if I’ve ever actually experienced romantic attraction, which is why I’ve never understood guys liking me. And since I didn’t understand, I figured they must be lying or pretending. → TAEIL would have his mouth in an ‘O’, but more of a ‘ooh cool!’ way where he’s nodding repeatedly to nothing seconds after you’ve spilled the beans. it sinks in more later when he thinks of your birth years side by side and he’s like omg! i’m finally not the oldest and it garners a laugh out of you that you don’t mind being called old by him. honestly, you don’t mind being called old at all by the other members, since technically you are taeil’s s/o. the members are closer to the male, so when they call him old, you join in lol

“woah hyung/noona! i can’t believe you now take the place of oldest in our group,” mark says, although gets a smack from haechan for saying that.

“ack! sorry taeil-hyung and (y/n)-hyung/(y/n)-noona, mark’s mouth is a little big today.”

taeil waves it off, curling an arm around your waist to bring you closer as mark avoids eye contact. slowly the members crowd around the four of you, interested in the topic that’s taking place. it was well over 11pm in the practice room, and having just ended dance practice, they cooled down by taking part in the conversation.

“yeah! you finally can call someone else old!” another smack and a whine from mark accompanied by an apologetic look that wasn’t seen often on donghyuck.

“i’m sorry for them,” taeil whispers with a laugh, placing a kiss onto your cheek before taking a swig of water from his bottle. he takes your shaking head as acceptance of your new position of the oldest, pleased when you return his kiss with one to his lips.

→ JOHNNY is the one to pull a dramatic face lol. you know the one where his mouth is in a ‘O’ and his eyebrows are knitted. the expression is playful, but there’s a bit of genuine shock behind it. recovers from it quickly tho and jokingly calls you ‘daddy/mommy’ to annoy you. i can see him calling you the term later if you get married or have kids though, just in a third person kinda way - something like a running joke from when he discovered you were older years ago.

“no way, you’re born in 1992?” his jaw is dropped, eyes wide that makes you smile just a little, “holy shit you’re old,” there’s a fit of laughter when your hand lands on his back as a form of retaliation (“like you’re not!”), but you agree either way, shrugging nonchalantly at the year of birth.

“then maybe now i can call you daddy/mommy,” you groan at that, shoving him for real now as he lands on the sofa behind him and doyoung at the dining table contemplates whether he should interfere. he decides not to when you full on attack your boyfriend, although with half-assed punches as johnny continues to moan out theatrically in between attacks, “but for real though, next time, i wanna hear voices calling you.”

“the fuck? you mean in like a horror movie way?”

“nah, in the i wanna have a family way.” you gulp with a surprised expression and you launch a badly timed attack that hits him in the balls. you’re apologising with a fluster, johnny is groaning in pain. oh well, this could be story to tell your kids or adopted babies next time.

→ TAEYONG is making surprised noises. it’s so cute lol that you’re the one ending up teasing him about it. taeyong forgets it sometimes, so you have the pleasure of seeing him react like a couple of times bc it finally settles in his mind that you’re older than him. other than that, yong loves you all the same and sometimes acts like a baby just so you’d cave and take care of him. he argues that it’s only the right way! older s/o? you take care of me! i want to be babied.

“huh? you’re older than me?” taeyong asks, mindlessly digging through your stuff until he comes across your ID. he curiously sifts through the information on it, but the number of your birth year seemed to stand out the most.

you hum, placing the last bits of your mask on yourself as you turn back to your boyfriend with a similar look: hair band pushing his dyed hair back, with a mask like yours on his face.

a noise of approval spills from taeyong’s mouth, and you’re left giggling in confusion until he explains his reason for it. you nod through it, happy to give your boyfriend what he wants while he takes his place in your arms. “feels nice,” taeyong mumbles, loving the way you’re playing with his fingers before he asks a question with a small voice. “can we do this more often?”

“of course,” and now you’re glad for taeyong’s curiosity of your things, presenting you with the opportunity (and excuse) to hold your lover in your arms.

→ YUTA doesn’t care either tbh. he may be one of the ones to figure it out before the others - how? you don’t know either but i have a feeling he might’ve taken a look at your ID or something along those lines. mans just nods at the year. as long as you’re still yourself and don’t change how you act in the relationship obvi bc he’s dating you bc of how you’ve presented yourself so far. it’ll feel weird if you suddenly start to dote on him just because you’re older. still likes to take care of you <3

“hey babe? were you born in 1993?” yuta inquires one day at dinner, the whole table of members somehow going a little quiet at the revelation.

“mhm! how’d you know?” you tilted your head, placing a piece of fish into your mouth and ignoring the shocked faces on the faces of the different members.

“eehh- i just saw it on your ID accidentally the other day,” yuta smiles when wiggle your mouth around to feel for the fish’s bone, finally able to shoot your boyfriend a smile as you both go back to your dinner. your laugh is the one thing that’s heard across the table and the occasional clinks of chopsticks against porcelain, and you’re confident if you were on a sitcom, the camera would just have all the members staring into it in shock.

“is it that surprising?” you asked the members, some of them waving their hands and shaking their head, knowing that yuta would probably take it up to them if they happen to have a problem with it.

“so i actually needed to call you hyung/noona?! i’m so sorry!!!” mark exclaims, earning a giggle from you.

→ DOYOUNG would react a little intensely too, but more in a starstruck, quiet kind of way. he just has this wide eyed look that make you burst out in laughter at the discovery and his lips are making a funny shape. he nods it off calm and cooly, but inside he’s like oh my god wtf really???? why didn’t i know this holy shit are they going to leave me for not knowing you can see no thought behind his eyes but you know the man’s spiralling a little inside that you have to reassure him that it’s just a minor thing (he gets out of the dump pretty quickly). your age reveal doesn’t affect him much either.

“you’re- you’re older than me?” doyoung’s mouth dries, coffee cup hovering just below his lips as you drop the bomb without much care. it’s quiet in the early morning, having had just finished filming his relay cam, but you can practically hear doyoung’s thoughts. he’s brought of it when you place a hand on his wrist.

“babe, baby, it’s okay. i didn’t tell you anyway, don’t worry about it,” your smile is blinding, and it has doyoung smiling as well, agreeing along to your reasoning and slowly easing into his previous action of drinking his beverage before he halts again.

your head tilts in question. “what is it?”

your boyfriend waves it off with a shy smile, bringing your hand to his lips as he lands a kiss on the skin there, “nothing. just thinking about how much i love you.”

“did it change?”

there’s a blush on his cheeks when he says it, glad for the two of you being in the only ones awake. “no, not one bit.”

→ JAEHYUN would one way or another kind of know already, although he’s not 100% sure. he’s observant, sometimes content with watching you take care of the other members (poor guy gets jealous tho) or just cleaning up after him when he’s a little too tired to do things - like wash his hair and what not. even if you’re not a naturally ‘taking care of others’ person, jaehyun picks up on the things that he’s heard his friends talk about regarding their older siblings (since he’s an only child) or compares to how you act around the group that’s similar to taeyong or doyoung. i can see jaehyun being a little disappointed, but it doesn’t change much as long as he can keep the dynamic of the relationship (so him giving the affection with you in his embrace). jaehyun is a quiet kind of shock like doyoung.

“huh… you’re born in 1994?”

“sure am,” you’re filling out a form for a membership, pen scribbling with swiftness in order not to hold up the line. you pass it back in a minute as the cashier processes your membership, and you feel jaehyun squeeze your hand. “why, why? is it an issue?” you mumble a thank you to the cashier, heading out of the store hand in hand while you find a spot to talk to your boyfriend.

“no no,” jaehyun giggles, a low one that makes your heart flutter, and he leans down to place a kiss onto your lips. it lingers there longer than you expected and you feel his smile on your lips. “there’s no issue. it just kinda adds up, in a way. you’re such a natural at giving advice and taking care of the other members. i’m just… a little surprised, is all.”

you laugh at that, meeting his lips again in a loving peck, “okay, that’s good then!”

→ JUNGWOO says “woowww!” like video game commentary and claps. yes he claps, you’re not sure why either but he’s just so thrilled to learn of your birth year that he just nods along and gives you a thumb-up after. i can’t say he’ll be that shocked, more of like happy for you like you just told him you passed a test or something. when you ask him about it, he just shrugs and pats you on the back. it’s all part of his personality, though, and like taeyong/yuta, he wouldn’t care much apart from being able to call you ‘sunbaenim’ as a joke. sometimes calls you senpai LMAO

“woah, you’re older than me by four years?” jungwoo mumbles when you show him your old IDs, the topic of your birth year overriding the original goal of wanting to see your foetus pictures.

“hm? oh yeah, i guess i never really mentioned it, huh?” you continue with what you were doing, cleaning up the stray hairs sticking out from your hairdo before jungwoo comes back hugging with his long limbs and silky outfit.

“congrats!” he meets your eyes through the vanity mirror and proceeds to peck your cheek and your expression that follows next brings laughter to jungwoo’s chest. you can feel it move from behind you, hoping he wouldn’t mess up the hour you spent on your hair. “why congrats?” your lip is curled with a raise of your eyebrows as your boyfriend continues to hang off your shoulders.

he thinks, then replies with a dunno and leaves the area to settle back on the bed. the snap of his camera follows next, no doubt taking pictures of the serious face shots of your old ID cards.

→ MARK would be one of the ones that you think is over exaggerating, except he’s just that shocked. he would stumble over his words and texting johnny or whoever to tell him and be like “yoooo? huh? what?” mark would probably be the last one to make the connection and johnny is all like “yeah? u didn’t know?” and mark is like “HOW WOULD I KNOW THEY LOOK SO YOUNG?????!!” hysterical, this man. mark almost doesn’t believe it for a second and you have to take out your ID to show him lmfao

mark’s head snaps to you once he overhears you in conversation with the flyer distributor, catching your attention with something that was in line with your interests. mark tunes out the promoter explaining the features of the product, only coming back to earth when you mention your date of birth for a trial of their services.

“you’re WHAT? nah. no. no way, show me your ID.”

the other jumps back at the sudden exclamation while you just raise an eyebrow. sorry, excuse him, you mumble, and you’re dragging mark off to the side as you fumble in your bag to pull out your ID in exasperation. the timing is imperfectly perfect: mark bends down to inspect your birth year, you flip open the wallet a little too hard, it hits his head in a loud thwack!

“ow.” mark giggles, squinting his eyes to finally make out the fading ‘1998’ on your card, “oh! so the same as jungwoo hyung?” he giggles again, “he finally as someone to talk to!”

→ HAECHAN is shocked but would immediately mask it and go like “oh my! still so pretty, miss halmeoni,” he coos and you’re so ready to smack him. in a way acts like johnny but will not stop using the word on a daily basis (unless you tell him that you don’t like it). it becomes part of the pet names that he calls you, but he still likes the classic baby/honey/love. sometimes also like to whine with hyung/noona if he wants something, like a new video game or for you to buy food for him. other than that, haechan is pretty indifferent about you being older than him.

“hah?! you’re born in 1999?” haechan has his neck stuck out like a fish out of water, not posing that much difference since he’s just finished a shower. you make the bed with deftness, tucking in the duvet easily as your boyfriend approaches from behind.

he’s shocked, but before you can comment on it, he recovers quickly to deliver a quip through his toothpaste-filled mouth, “oh my! halmeoni, then you should take a seat!” your hands are on your hips, glaring at him while he only grins.

you indulge him, though, and take a seat on the newly made bed, relaxing into the softness of the sheets with elbows.

“if i’m considered elderly, then, you can do the housework for me, right?” the dread that slowly fills up haechan’s features make you explode into giggles, before pushing yourself up to come face to face with him.

“thought so,” you whispered, petting his head as you continue the clean-up of the room.

this is my addition to the hermitcraft propaganda. this is focused at dsmp fans bc i am one. 

hermitcraft is a long running smp that started in 2012. it runs in seasons, with each season lasting around a year, often just over. they are currently on season 8, and started fairly recently. 

the players on hermitcraft tend to change each season, but i have compiled a list of who i think you might enjoy, based off of your favourite dsmp member!

IF YOU LIKE... TOMMYINNIT- 

MumboJumbo: have you got ADHD? do you love how tommyinnit says Things and other people get confused? well then MumboJumbo is the hermit for you! he's absolutely absurd. a spoon. he's also over 6ft tall and built like a brick shit house. insane. this man is an enigma. he's also a cinematographer. who even is this guy. (he also does cool redstone builds and always sounds surprised when they work even tho he's been doing this since 2012.)

BdoubleO100: a rabid chihuahua in the body of a human. truly follows that feral energy that makes up tommyinnit. mans built an entire mountain last season and he's doing it again! crazy! he's also the king of sleep. night is a rare phenomenon on hermitcraft, since bdubs starts clicking his bed at the barest hint of sunset. gotta shweep!

Grian: the stereotypical pick. he's the prankster man, everyone seems to think he's pretty childish and he often has the younger brother role even though he's not the youngest on the server. has started/been majorly involved in two wars. had an alter ego called poultry man who would fly around dropping eggs and spawning chickens everywhere.

RANBOO-

Rendog: lore man lore man!!!! he has a bunch of fun and interesting characters and he puts a lot of thought into his episodes, from his builds to his mc skin, to make sure everything comes together perfectly. I don't watch his hermitcraft stuff but I've seen him via other hermit's povs and he rlly does pick a role and throw himself into it. it's amazing.

PHILZA-

EthosLab: do you like anime kinnies? do you like old gods of minecraft? well let me introduce you to ethoslab! i want to study him in a lab. he causes problems on purposes. he builds super random redstone things. he messes with noteblocks. he was head of shennanigans. his minecraft skin is kakashi hatake from naruto. there was a block named after him in the 2013 april fools update (the EthoSlab). who is this man. i think he also has the longest running minecraft lets play. what the heck.

Grian: bird man. good at flying. chaotic bitch. idk some of the vibes are there.

SAPNAP-

Tangotek: crazy redstone man. builds crazy minigames. idk there aren't actually many similarities here other than they're both often associated with fire in fanworks despite not actually having that much to do with it.

FUNDY-

EthosLab: aforementioned anime kinnie. crazy redstone. idk. Zedaph: in season 7 he built a cave of contraptions which contained these amazing redstone machines that found the most complicated and convoluted ways to perform regular tasks, just for the hell of it. what a guy! Iskall85: they're friends :3. that is all. (actually they both just have very similar Vibes. I have no other way to describe it. it's just Vibes).

SCHLATT-

Cubfan135: (specifically season 6). evil capitalist man (/lh). ran a big corporation with scar. they made profit from a war. idk i dont watch cub, thats all i could think of. GoodTimesWithScar: evil capitalist man with cub in season 6. in season 7 he got voted mayor and then started charging the shops to allow them to be accessed from the road. there was also a big "war" over mycelium. fun times. he's actually a very genuine and sweet guy. also his cat jellie is in the game bc he won a competition or smthin. idk man he loves his cat so much. you know what builds belong to scar bc there's just jelies everywhere.

TECHNOBLADE-

FalseSymmetry: okay listen the mcc teams are being announced as I'm typing this so my brain started thinkin mcc and basically they're both well known for being good at pvp. i dont watch false but i know she has a tumblr so i'd trust her with a knife.

Grian: thinkin mcc again. they teamed for mcc pride. you can go watch that if u want to get grians Vibes while still having a dsmp member present for some familiarity. idk.

NIHACHU-

GeminiTay: a lot of ppl say they like niki's streams bc of the comforting vibes and general chill atmosphere, and I think gem matches that pretty well. cy once said she sounds like fluttershy and tbh i sorta agree. shes an awesome builder and insanely smart and even though she's new this season im already incredibly attatched to her.

TUBBO-

Zedaph: aforementioned cave of contraptions rlly fits tubbo's vibe. i think he's going the mad scientist route this season too. Docm77: another mad scientist. already early on he made this super weird lighting farm thing? i dont even know but i've seen the clip and its MAD. even if you dont watch hermitcraft you should check out that individual clip.

FOOLISH-

literally any of them bc i genuinely belive wholeheartedly that foolish would fit perfectly on hermitcraft if he could manage not to swear. (altho maybe cub bc last season he build a giant pyramid.)
