synopsis: you and leon have been high school sweethearts and graduated together in 1990. but after graduating from military school and pre-med, trouble arises once leon becomes busy with being a police officer, while you start preparing to leave to the UK for med school.

“—So, as we all bid farewell to this chapter of our lives, I want all of us to look back on what made us who were are now and look forward to the people we will become. Congratulations Class of 1990! We made it!” You exclaimed loudly into the mic. Everyone cheered and hugged one another in celebration of graduating from high school.

The principal smiled widely at you before you handed him the mic for his closing message to everyone. “Thank you to this year’s valedictorian for her heartfelt graduation speech. My dear students, I am so proud of all you. Congratulations!” Cheers and shouts once more echoed in the auditorium. You walk back into the crowd of students, looking for a certain someone. Amidst the bustling crowd, you spot him in his toga with medals around his neck, certificates and diplomas being held up on the right and a bouquet of roses in his left. You hurriedly ran towards his direction and stop right infront of him.

“There’s my valedictorian, I’m so proud of you love.” Leon said as he handed me the bouquet and planted a kiss on my forehead.

“Aww, Leon you didn’t have to…”

“Pft, I want nothing but the best for my girl. You deserve it [Y/N].”

“I love you so much Leon, I don’t think I would’ve survived high school without you.”

“I love you too [Y/N]. You’ll be fine with or without me. But of course you’re better off with me.” Leon said as he winked at me.

He was always such a tease. Ever since 7th to 12th grade, you couldn't believe that out of all the traits that he could keep, it had to be that one. But, it was okay, after all, all that teasing did lead you to fall for him and it was the best thing to have ever come out of your high school experience. People always said you had your head stuck in a book 24/7 and that you had no chance at love if all you ever look at was texts on a book. But now, they’re eating their words, because not only are you in the happiest and healthiest relationship with the school’s heartthrob, but your relationship with Leon outlasted almost all of your batchmates’s relationships combined. Not only that, but you also graduated valedictorian of your batch and was always a consisted honor student while dating Leon.

You had to admit that you and Leon were a walking cliché. Top student falls for the school’s heartthrob, where haven’t you seen that? But God, even if it was a cliché it was the best thing to have ever happened to you. It wasn’t always smooth sailing though. In 7th grade, Leon was always a pain in the ass to you, and it didn’t help that you were always paired up in almost every pair or group activity and project given. He wasn’t always so cooperative, he teased and picked at you, and he was always pre-occupied with either his friends or football. Yes, he was a jock, an irritatingly good-looking one at that.

He never really noticed your efforts when it came to those pair and group assignments the both of you had until one day, in chemistry class, you had held your head down, planning to rest for a little while. Little did you know that you would be waking up in the hospital. The doctor said that you had overworked your body so much to the point where your immune system had weakened drastically. Leon heard this and visited you the following day in the hospital. Your parents were aware of Leon being a big weight on you because you’d always rant to them about him so it was no surprise that when Leon entered your hospital room, he wasn’t exactly greeted warmly by your parents. Even so, they left you and him to talk privately.

“Hey [Y/N]…” Leon said as he looked at the floor. “Um, I brought you some flowers, roses, to um, brighten up your room.” He said awkwardly

You looked at him up and down with a sour look on your face before thanking him. “Thanks… Leon…” He sighed and sat at the foot of your bed.

“Look, I’m sorry… I should’ve helped you out. If I known this would’ve happen-“

“Well, it’s a bit too late for that don’t you think?” I spat back as I cut Leon off.

“I know, I know… So, to make up for it, I’ve told the teacher about me not cooperating and they have decided not to affect your grade because of my shortcomings. I’ve also come here to ask you what other assignments we have so that I can do it while you’re here. I promise I will prepare a good quality output, I’ll send it to you for checking so that you won’t have to worry.”

You were surprised at Leon’s sudden change of heart and were touched by his dedication to make things right for you. You face softened and you breathed out a small sigh.

“Thank you Leon, I’ll send you a list of what needs to be done later on. Thank you for visiting too…” You smile timidly.

“Please, don’t thank me, it’s the least I could do after everything I’ve caused.”

“Come on Leon, accept my thanks, it’s not all the time I get to say that to you.” I joked.

“Alright, alright. Fine, I accept the thanks and you are welcome. I’ll leave you be now. Rest up, recover quick okay?”

“Okay.”

Leon gave you a smile before turning around to leave, but before he left the hospital, he talked to your parents and apologized for the trouble. He even offered to pay the medical expenses to which my parents declined. They said that if you forgave him, then they forgave him too.

On school days while you were at the hospital, Leon would always text you at lunch about what happened during the morning classes and at the end of the day, he’d text you again to tell you what happened during the afternoon classes. He gave you notes, the assignments, recorded lectures, and even stuck to his word about sending you the group works. He really did seemed like a changed man.

8th grade came around and Leon had confessed his feelings for you, to which you reciprocated. And from then on, the two of you have been dating ever since. And something you love about Leon was that he knew that you were a strong, capable, and independent person. He never interfered with your plans and always emphasized that he wanted you to always prioritize yourself over everyone else including himself. Leon supported you in all your endeavours, the competitions, the events, everything. He was and always is your number one fan and you will always be his. Every game he had, you were present. You stood in the front bleachers with the largest banner out there and screamed your head off every time he scored a point. You were everyone’s typical movie high school couple.

“So Leon, what’s your plans for college?” You asked curiously. He never really talked about what he wanted for his future but since we were now high school graduates, it was high time to start thinking about our future plans.

“Oh, actually, I enrolled into a military academy in Raccoon City!” He said excitedly.

“Looks like someone’s excited.” You chuckle.

“Well, yeah! I mean I’ve always wanted to help people out and I think this is a good place to start.”

“I’m so glad you’re doing something you’re passionate about, love.”

“I’m assuming you’ll be pursuing your pre-med course in the city as well?”

“Mhm, that’s right. I can’t believe how fast time flies. We used to be dumb kids arguing over assignments and look at us now.”

Leon looked at you and grabbed you by the waist to pull you into a hug. “I didn’t expect myself to fall for a brainy genius like yourself.”

“And I didn’t expect myself to fall for a sweetheart of a jock but here we are.” you said as the both of you laughed together.

Summer went by and you and Leon had moved to Raccoon City to pursue each other’s passions. The 4 years passed the two of you quickly and you were soon attending each other’s graduation. Seeing Leon in his uniform standing proud and tall made you feel all sorts of things. You can’t believe how far he’s come. Saying you were proud of him was an understatement. At your graduation, you spotted Leon from the stage along with your parents holding up a camera and recording you. He was the absolute cutest boyfriend out there. He treated you and your parents out at an expensive restaurant in the city to celebrate. While at the dinner table, your phone starts ringing. You check to see who was calling you and saw that it was one of your professors from your university. You excused yourself from the table and picked up the incoming call.

“Good evening Ms. [L/N]”

“Good evening madam, is there something you would like to discuss with me?”

“As a matter of fact, there is. If you remember, I helped you apply for a prestigious medical school in the UK yes?”

“Yes, I recall.”

“I come bearing good news! You have been accepted on a full scholarship! I am so proud of you Ms. [L/N].”

You covered your mouth from shock and turned back to look at your parents and Leon who seemed very curious about the call.

“Thank you so much madam for helping me with this opportunity. I will get back to you with my answer in a few days.”

“No problem, take your time. But if I were you, I would grab the opportunity already.”

“I have to consult my parents first madam but I appreciate the incentive.”

“Alright, please do inform me later on your decision. Goodbye and congrats!”

Your professor dropped the call and you go back to the table with Leon and your parents and let them know the good news.

“Oh my God! I’m so proud of you [Y/N]! We’ll pack your stuff right away once we get home!” Your mom said eagerly.

“I’ll help you pack too!” Your dad chimed in.

You laugh at the reactions of you parents but realized that Leon had been rather silent.

“Leon?” you said as you held his hand under the table.

“Hmm? Oh! I’m so proud of you too, love. I can’t believe you’ll be studying in another country…” Leon said as his voice slowly faded. You squeezed his hand and looked at him with a face of concern. Before he could speak again, the waiter had given Leon the bill which he paid for and later your parents left earlier than you leaving Leon and you behind.

“Love, is there something bothering you?”

“I’m… I’m gonna miss you a lot [Y/N]… But, I don’t want to hold you back, you know that.”

“Oh Leon…” You pulled him into an embrace and said, “I’ll miss you too Leon. But I’m not leaving yet, so let’s make most of my time here okay?”

“Okay… I love you [Y/N]…”

“I love you too Leon…”

In a few days, you started getting ready to make your big move to the UK. Meanwhile, Leon had begun working as a police officer in the Raccoon City Police Department. He was always preoccupied with his job and you were busy with all the files you needed to tend to and the preparations you had to ready for med school and all the other likes. As the days progressed, the stress started to feel overwhelming and it did not help that Leon was not as available as much as he used to be. You respected his time and if he wouldn’t want to hold you back, you wouldn’t hold him back either. So you kept to yourself. All the stress, the worry, the nagging thoughts of moving to a new country alone, the pressure put on you by your professor was immense, all of it was driving you borderline insane. Juggling everything on your own felt so tiring but you never once thought of asking Leon or anyone for that matter for help because you did not want to bother them and because you wanted this for yourself. You had no one but yourself to blame. But the opportunity is right there, and you couldn't risk it slipping through your fingers.

It was a week ‘till your departure and Leon had finally decided to visit you after his long shifts at the RPD.

“Hi love, are you ready for the big trip?” He asked while trying to put on a smile on his face but it was evident that he was too tired to even put an effort.

“I don’t know Leon…” you responded.

“What’s the matter?” he asked sounding concerned.

You snapped at Leon and sarcastically replied, "Oh, thanks for finally asking.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“What do you think Leon? You haven’t even bothered to check up on me all those days ago?”

“Well I’m sorry if I got too busy with work!”

“Too busy? Would it have killed you to send me at least one text asking how I was?!”

“I didn’t want to disturb you! I knew that you could handle it on your own.”

“But Leon I needed you! Where were you when I needed you?! I was practically going insane already!"

A deafening silence fell upon the room and no one dared to look at each other in the eye. You broke the silence and spoke up once more.

“Look Leon, if this is the current state of our relationship now, I fear that this won’t last once I’m further away.”

“[Y/N]… Are you…?”

“I’m breaking up with you Leon.” You never imagined those words ever coming out of your mouth but there it was, seemingly echoing in all four corners of the room making it all the more painful that it already was.

“You can’t be serious [Y/N]…”

“I am serious Leon. I can’t do this anymore…”

“Fine.” Leon said as he stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

You watch him leave as tears start to run down your face. It hurt that you had to do what you did, but seeing how he didn’t even fight for the relationship broke you even more. At the back of your head, you were relieved because now, he wouldn’t have to face the days where he would need you but you were not there for him. He wouldn’t have to constantly worry about you and your well-being. He wouldn’t have to miss you so much that it made his heart ache that he could not see you. You have spent 10 years with each other and were now so used to each other presence. Being away from him pained you as much as it pained him, and nothing could have eased that.

It's 2 hours ‘till departure, you’re at the airport simply passing the time while your parents kept you company. 1 hour left, you start to remember all the memories you’ve made in the city and can't help but shed a tear because all you could ever think off was Leon. 30 minutes, your parents comfort you and held you in their arms as you cried and wallowed in your sadness. 20 minutes, you compose yourself as your flight is near. 10 minutes, bid your farewell to your parents and start walking to the gates until you heard a voice call your name.

You turned around to look for where the voice came from, “Leon?” You mutter as you frantically search amongst the people looking for him. You spotted Leon dashing towards you and threw his arms around you as a desperate attempt to keep you for leaving just yet.

“[Y/N] please, just wait…” he panted.

“Leon, I need to board the plane, I have to go-“

“Please… think about it, think about us. I know long distance is hard but it’s something we can get through together! I know we can! So please! Don’t just leave me like this…” Leon begged as he pulled away to face you. His eyes were swollen and red, you could tell he had been crying for days straight.

“You know it’s not just about us… You have your whole future ahead of you, and I have mine. Don’t let me stop you from that.”

“But I don’t see my future without you in it. Please let me be selfish for once let me ask you for us to try again.”

“You know I can’t do that Leon…”

Leon looked at you with glass eyes and let you go. “I’ll be waiting for you [Y/N]… However long it takes."

“Leon… Don't...” You cupped his cheek and caresses it gently wiping away his tears.

“Forgive me, goodbye.” You let go of Leon and kissed him one last time before turning your back on him and walking straight to the gates. You hear Leon’s sobs and it took everything in you not to look back, when all you wanted to do was run into his arms and say “I do want you back, I’m sorry for trying to leave you.” But you couldn’t. You knew deep down that you couldn’t bring yourself to throw everything away for Leon. And you knew that he knew it too.

As the plane took off, you look out of the window and silently said goodbye to the life you once had and said hello to the new life you will live.

More Thoughts on my Dreamling Actors AU

Dream and his siblings are still called The Endless and they all go by their "stage" names. Does anyone know their last names? Nope. Do they even have last names? We'll never know! But damn are they good actors

Desire and Dream are their resident movie stars. Death and Delirium are more into musical theater but dabble in TV shows every now and then. Destruction solely does indie films and is a fantastic character actor. Destiny had retired from acting and is now a director/producer. Despair does voice acting.

When The Endless have a family dinner, it's the subject of entertainment news for weeks. Something always happens.

Their parents once met on a movie set — a noir film that included all the cliches.

Dream's first movie role got him nominated for an Oscar. This pisses off Desire who didn't get a nomination until their 5th movie.

Hob got into acting after he took a free acting masterclass from one of his colleagues at his university. He fell in love with it and decided to go "fuck it, ive got nothing left to lose!"

Hob's first movie with Dream was a period piece set in the 1300's. He was supposed to just be an extra but the director — who happened to be Destiny — liked him enough to give him a few scenes with Dream to see how it would work out. Hob shot up to stardom after that

Everyone always asks him what it's like to work with Dream so often. What he's like behind the scenes and if Dream gave him any advice because he's a new actor yada yada yada

His PR team always tells him to be polite and not say what he's thinking because they know he doesn't actually like Dream. Where he tells people it's an honor and a privilege to be acting alongside someone like him, he really wants to say that he wants to throw himself off a cliff whenever he's in the renowned actor's presence.

Hob thinks him selfish, arrogant, self-centered, and has a stick so far up his ass he wears it as a fucking hat.

But he can't say that or else he'll never work in this industry ever again.

Meanwhile Dream has grown fond of Hob Gadling. He always enjoys working with newer actors rather than seasoned veterans because they bring such fresh perspectives and a new way of going about different scenes.

But Dream is the most socially awkward man in existence when the cameras stop rolling.

When he wants to tell Hob that he did a good job, what comes out of his mouth is "I believe you could do better."

When he wants to say to Hob that their scene together showed really good chemistry, he ends up saying "Your collar was askew the whole time."

Literally he CANNOT for the life of him talk to Hob Gadling without sounding like an ABSOLUTE piece of shit. And it's FRUSTRATING because he WANTS to talk to Hob without giving him unwanted acting advice but he just blurts them out without thinking.

He just hopes Hob doesn't hate him for it

Ahh, I love the boxer!Mammon thing, too. There is something intimate about patching up someone who's hurt. It's because you have to touch them to do it, but it's also tender because you clearly care about their well being which is why you're doing it at all. So it's a nice combination of taking care of someone when they're hurt and soft touches and possibly an opportunity to scold them if they were doing something reckless and that's how they got hurt to begin with ahhh I just really love all of it lol!!

There's also something about both of you being hurt and then you taking care of each other~

But yeah, you know Mammon would get into boxing for the money aspect of it. I kinda like the idea that he's somehow involved with the rigged betting, like he's losing on purpose because he knows it'll make someone win and then he gets a big cut of those winnings for it. Gets involved with some shady characters. Then for some reason he wins when he's supposed to lose (maybe his opponent insulted MC and actually pissed him off??). Then he's in trouble with the shady characters who come after him and he has to fight them and gets away but not without getting hurt... then MC is like what happened?!?! And he's all blushing as he stammers out that he had to defend your honor!! And all that while you're sitting there holding an ice pack to his black eye or something adlkfkdf

OOPS I got a little carried away but listen I love this scenario.

Anyway, I also love lil D no 2 what an absolute cutie! I love the lil Ds on these cards, they're adorable and they should be included more. I know they gave Simeon a wrath lil D because Simeon's sin is supposed to be wrath. Does this mean there are multiple little Ds of each sin? Because I was kinda under the impression that there was just the one and that's why we had to go find each of them when the brothers went crazy. And if that's the case, I kinda love the idea of Simeon just hanging out with Satan's little D. Like I find that very funny lol.

I Dig It - Part 1

1920's AU - Archaeologist!Taehyung x Linguist!Reader

Tags: strangers to lovers, fluff, not grave robbing but archaeology

Warnings: there may be historical inaccuracies and i apologize, also maybe typos because i never beta read

Word Count: 1,478 (it's kinda short but i've been working on it for two months and i was too excited to post it)

The flight to Egypt is long, so you brush up on your hieroglyphics. The older man sitting next to you is fast asleep, snoring a bit. His crossed arms clutch a small notebook filled with notes and pyramid sketches.

There's something so enthralling about studying ancient architecture and linguistics, when your university professor suggested you join the small crew of archaeologists making their pilgrimage to Egypt, you accepted without hesitation. It's an honor to be on this journey, and you're going to make the most of the time you have here.

After a few minutes of reading, you realize your eyes are getting heavy, and you yawn.

"A little snooze won't kill me..." you close your eyes.

When you open them again, it's because you're being nudged by the older man who was sleeping next to you.

"We're here, get your things ready."

You sit up, stretch your arms and grab your bags.

The sun is hot, much hotter than the weather you just left, and you ditch your fall jacket, choosing to put it with the rest of your clothes. All around you, endless dunes of sand stretch for miles. The pyramids stand tall, and you walk through the temple courtyard, where an older British scholar is waiting for the group.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen." He tips his hat at everyone. "Welcome to Egypt. It's lovely to see all of you."

You take a moment to observe all the statues and murals decorating the temple walls. The hieroglyphs stand out to you, and you start deciphering a few.

"...as you may know, we have miss __ with us, who is a renowned linguist. She will be helping to discover the ancient mysteries that lie within these walls."

The scholar nods, waiting for everyone to get to work. You immediately shuffle over to the mural you were observing earlier.

"So," you notice someone lean on the wall you're studying, "what does this say?"

"The hieroglyphs describe the pharaoh to which this temple was dedicated. I haven't found a name yet, but it can't be far." The tips of your fingers brush against the stone.

"It's all nonsense to me. I find your skill quite impressive. I'm just here on the digging team."

"Digging is very important, I'm only here to read words." You shrug, to which he nods. "Thanks, I guess."

"Excuse me, mister Kim, the excavation team is leaving," a voice calls out.

"Oh, right. Well, miss __, it was a pleasure meeting you, but I must go. If you need me, my name's Taehyung. See you later."

You catch a glimpse of the man as he hurries out of the temple. Soft brown hair falling just below his ears, a sharp jawline, big brown eyes and a wide boxy smile. He adjusts the collar of his leather bomber jacket and follows a group of men out the door.

"I hear you're a mummy expert! You definitely should explore the Valley of the Kings whenever you have some time." Someone pats his shoulder.

"How is the deciphering going?" The scholar approaches you.

"Lovely. I believe this was the temple dedicated to the queen Hatshepsut herself, from what I've gathered."

You grin, still examining the hieroglyphs.The idea of a woman ruling over a large kingdom such as this one is exciting. There weren't many in that time.

"Impressive. She truly was a queen to be remembered." The scholar peers at the symbols through small round glasses.

You could get completely lost in the reading of ancient Egypt, its culture and its royals, but someone alerts you out of your reverie.

"Excuse me, you're the linguist, right? There's something you need to see."

A younger gentleman ushers you out, directing you toward where the group of excavators is standing. They're surrounding an entrance in the rock, where two men are holding pickaxes.

"We found a mummy!" One of them shouts out energetically.

You cautiously make your way to the entrance, and you're met with Taehyung's beautiful smile. He wipes the sweat away from his forehead and gives you a cheerful "Afternoon."

"Wow, it's been preserved so well!" You bend down and examine the mummy.

"We need you to figure out who this belonged to." The other man gestures to a small relief covered in hieroglyphs.

You skim over the text. "Possibly a pharaoh's daughter, I'm not sure." However, another set of symbols catches your eye. "I'm sorry, I believe this might be a servant. I misread the text."

You shake your head.

"Maybe it was the servant of the pharaoh's daughter." Taehyung shrugs, now looking around for any other hidden objects or bones.

"You're right, I think that might be the case." You nod.

"Ooh, a jar! I wonder what's inside." Taehyung shows you a clay pot.

"Probably the mummy's brain." You watch as he cringes and slowly puts the jar down.

"No, thank you." He shakes his head.You laugh a bit when he wipes his hands on his pants.

"If not the brain, perhaps some food. The Egyptians believed that even in the afterlife, humans still needed to eat, and thus brought loads of food with them on their journey to the Underworld." You dust off the skeleton of the mummy, examining it closer.

"Hey! Over here! I think I found another tomb!" Someone calls out, and the four or five men surrounding you all leave.

"Ah, they can handle it." Taehyung peeks over his shoulder and resumes searching in the sand."

So, how long have you been a linguist?" He asks, crouching down beside you to observe the mummy.

"I haven't finished my studies yet, actually. My professor suggested I join the group, and so I did." Your fingers skim over exposed ribs.

Taehyung doesn't say anything, too concentrated on what seems to be something shiny in the mummy's hand to form a reply.

"Careful!" You exclaim a little too loudly when he tries to pry it out of the hand.

"Beetle amulet." He shows it to you proudly, a piece of carved jasper in the shape of the beetle, one of Egypt's most sacred creatures. You gasp when you see it in such mint condition. "May I?"

He hands you the amulet and you carefully take it into your palm, examining it with wide eyes.

"It's beautiful... I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it." Your voice comes out as a whisper, astounded by the precious stone in your hand.

"Imagine if this were made into a piece of jewelry, how much money it would sell for."

"Mister Kim, are you a salesman?" You glance up at him. He shakes his head, smiling.

"I'm saying that this kind of stone was much more common then than it is now. People would definitely try to buy this, but in the days when it was made, most likely lots of people carried one around."

You nod. "You're right. I wonder if any jewelers would use it as a pendant on a chain."

"I could find out for you if you like." Taehyung extends his hand to you, and you place the amulet back into his palm. He laughs.

"I wanted to help you stand back up."

You accept the offer and he pulls you up to your feet.

"We should probably leave this amulet here, I'd feel terrible to steal it from the mummy." You peer down at the jasper stone in Taehyung's hand.

"How about we show it to mister Osborn and let him decide what we do with it?"

You nod, not too entirely sure who he is. Noticing your look of confusion, Taehyung elaborates.

"Mister Osborn is the scholar you met when we first arrived. He's the one who taught my class in university."

"That makes sense, thank you." You smile.

"So, I'll bring this amulet to mister Osborn. You should probably go rest, it's too hot to pursue any excavation today. I'll get Clive to show you to where we will be sleeping." Taehyung keeps a firm grip on the amulet while he waves over a young gentleman.

"Could you please show dear __ where the camp site is? I'd appreciate it if she didn't catch a heat stroke."

The young man, who you assume is Clive, nods and tips his hat toward you. "Of course. Miss, please follow me."

You follow along, and quickly turn your head to glance back at Taehyung, who bows.

"Come see me if you ever need anything." He grins.

After a short walk, you notice the small camp is near where the plane landed.

"Holler if you need anything!" Clive waves joyfully as he runs back to the temple, leaving you alone.

You decide to return to the plane to collect your bags. Once you get them, you locate a place to store them, and lie down to rest.

You couldn't be happier to be on this trip.

oh boy you're gonna have a TIME reading this one brother i'm gonna spend hours typing out the insane stuff the randy collective has come up with

okay so the insaneification of genloss started with sneeg. FANON IS WRONG ABOUT HIM HE IS WRONG IN EVERY FIC THE MASSES DO NOT UNDERSTAND HIM . so basically to be true to the canon sneeg mutual started actually talking about the trauma he would have and how genuinely fucked up he would be and that's how the randy collective started. anyways i touched on the whole being raised by showfall thing which ties into kids theory. charlie and sneeg would have been so so so codependent and toxic and they love each other and they're all over each other like animals but they'll also fight to the fucking death because showfall can just revive them. (there's a creature au as well that is very cool but i'll talk about that later if i remember.) frank was sneeg's boyfriend and he got permakilled for it and i will come back to this (but also. side note. yellow is frank's color. that's the color of the number code ran chose to put into the computer. maybe this doesn't mean anything but i think the yellow connecting to frank and the fact that he was dead was foreshadowing but take that as you will. moving on)

generation loss charlie. everyone talks about him. everyone loves charlie. they don't care about sneeg. charlie knows this and he will use it against sneeg any way he can. he's the favourite and he flaunts that at sneeg and knows showfall would kill sneeg if he said the word. at the same time sneeg knows this and he would be so fucking jealous of that. he would kill charlie for it. he'd regret it but that wouldn't stop him. it's the cain and abel symbolism and it could be explained so much better but i really really love this point so i had to mention it.

another thing about charlie being the favorite. charlie genuinely doesn't have anyone without sneeg. so when frank comes along and starts talking to sneeg and basically taking his brother away from him he gets jealous of that. there's multiple endings to this one but it was an interesting point.

last thing about charlie for now the charlie mutual made headcanons for transfem/transmasc charlie separately and they are so cool. i can't remember who had the idea of aroace charlie but we love that too. we spin him in the washing machine

i have my own version of ran as well. in all my post escape aus they use hearing aids and prosthetic eyes from where the box messed up their face. (SHOWFALL EMPLOYEE AUS GO SO FUCKING HARD WITH THIS ONE. TO ME. i literally cannot forget to talk about this later.) but yeah that's my basic design idea and the headcanons for this guy are crazy. one of my favorites is the one that sneeg and charlie were literally on top of each other all the time being brothers so ranboo adopted that kind of show of affection post escape. they're fucked up brothers your honor

hETCH IS NOT THE VILLAIN. HE IS A VICTIM TOO. the popular headcanon is that he's also gay for the founder and sometimes we like to think about how it would be funny if the founder were gay for him too but honestly hetch is most likely just their emotional support wet cat. but yeah charlie mutual started making headcanons about charlie and hetch being blood brothers and i was never able to erase that from my memory /vvpos . i love thinking about that dynamic too for so so many reasons. hetch staying with charlie and sneeg and basically raising them and there's just so much in there that i can't even get into yet because i haven't explained the employees BUT I WILL I PROMISE

niki is such a fucking fun one to think about too. i don't have much on her because she's actually characterized decently well from what i've seen but @/white-collar-cannibal has an au where she cuts off her hair and just. the butch niki headcanons. it's such a cool concept. because we've discussed her too and as popular hcs go niki was brought in as a teenager. i think we said 14-15 (but don't quote me on that i could be wrong). but the basic idea is showfall made her be pretty and she wants to be like sneeg. she wants to fight and be able to stomach stuff like all the gruesome stuff showfall fed sneeg and charlie as kids and ough. it's just so cool to think about i love her character

Oh I think I can actually answer that without rambling too much !! (<- took an entire week to answer the ask and select the fics, and I commented on each one of them lol) It won't be a Top in order of preference tho, there's no actual classment, it's just the ones I loved the most.

The Way I Behaved - EraserMic (MHA)

This fanfic gave me the inspiration to write my greatest work (still unfinished to this day) and literally changed so many things about me. It also made me discover a whole genre of music that I've never listened to before and with which I am entirely in love now. Prepare to cry tho, because this is deeply heartbreaking. It's a Villain Mic AU where Aizawa was never a teacher. And it is good.

What if Percy did become a God - Percy Jackson and the Olympians (based on the books !!! do not read if you just watched the show !!!)

The title says everything. This is not a happy story, you will cry, I promise. It's short, like a 1k word OS, it's really poetic, it's deep, it's beautiful, and also, it's painful. Humans were never meant to be gods, not even Percy. It's written like a poem, I read it so many times and it hurt me every time.

Demon and Angel Professors - Ineffable Spouses (Good Omens)

Not a fanfiction but a serie of short works about Crowley and Aziraphale and the people around them. A teachers AU very nice to read with many Original Characters (the students) who are all captivating and appreciable. The story is extremely queer-positive and neurodivergent inclusive and physical handicap representative, honestly, you want to read it. There's everything inside it. If you have chronic pain or if you're a closeted queer or even a curious ally who wants to understand their peers, this is what you need. The love is so pure it's overwhelming.

Honor and Vengeance on the High Sea - Zuko (ATLA)

Tbh this deserves to be published, it's a novel itself (I haven't finished it yet). The author reappropriated the Avatar universe to write something completely new. It's an AU where Zuko becomes a Pirate after his banishment and fights against the Fire Nation Navy, and eventually joins the Avatar's team. There's a whole work around internalized homophobia, the discovery of the self, acceptance, injustice, family trauma and everything. Original Characters are cool too. Chapters are long and very, very complete, you can see the author has historical and cultural knowledge.

Strength, the meaning of - Asano Gakuhou (Assassination Classroom)

I can't believe a fanfic about this total asshole made it to my top 10, but it is beautifully written. The progressive mental breakdown of a man who used to stand proud above everyone, the slow fall down to hell without even realizing it. There's also his son's POV here, which is equally beautifully written. I really hate the man and I don't like the fact that the end of AssClass completely disregard the consequences of what happened on the character's mental state, and reading how even him wasn't okay at all is very pleasant to read. That's karma my bitch.

Je suis assis - BokuAka (Haikyuu)

Yeah it's in french and on wattpad. It has been a while since I read it but I still remember the principal. It's a OS anyway so it's not very long (we didn't do that 20k words OS on Wattpad, this madness is only popular on AO3 lol). Since I'm sensitive to everything that is around handicap, it touched me. It ended up being cute and warm. Honestly I was more thinking of another BokuAka fanfiction but I couldn't remember the name nor found it online so I put this one.

25 - Riren (SnK)

Yeah yeah I know, pedo ship etc, but I was 14 and this is a High School AU where they're both 16 so, it's okay I guess. Yes the name of the fanfic is twenty-five. It's in french, it's on wattpad, and there's Eren's POV too. I don't know how I'm supposed to describe it... I think you have to read it, it's not actually strange or weird but, it's a whole experience.

Here there be dragons - Centennial Husbands (the Sandman)

This is the exact definition of love. What is love to me ? This fanfiction. Engagement, devotion, caring, this is it, this fanfic has the meaning of all these words. I had a hard time reading it because I hate ultra-long OS (I need CHAPTERS, give me a BREAK) but it was soooo enjoyable, and I was crying the whole time 'cause it's so pure and beautiful.

Palm to Palm - KaRen (Assassination Classroom)

Yes I am a part of the extremely tiny fandom that ships Karma and Ren (I do ship Karma with multiple people throughout the manga lmao) but only in THIS specific context. And this is beautifully written, I can't stop re-reading it. Also, the name of the ship makes me laugh. Karma and Ren relationship after losing Gakushuu -the boy they both love above everything else- is peak romance.

Le goût du chocolat - L x Light (Death Note)

I honestly don't remember a thing about this fanfiction except a single sentence, but I do know that I totally fell in love with it. It was one of my fave fanfic when I was full active on Wattpad, and I even archived it because I didn't want to lose it. I should read it again now that I found it again.

Oh it was so fun to fall back into all the things I read before ! But it was harder than I expected because, well, I only have AO3 for 3 years and I've been on Wattpad for 7 years, but I started reading fanfiction even before that, I just didn't have any account back then. So, I kinda forgot about some of the things I read more than 4 years ago, and I couldn't find the gems I discovered when I was 12. Most of the books that made out to this list are my recent lectures, it's a bit biased I guess.

A good epilogue to the Peaceful Timeline would be to show the future as Attack on High School AU, with Armin, Eren and Mikasa talking about the legend that inspired the movie they just watched, Armin commenting how he would love to discover proof about the legend. The trio doesn't notice a blue and red truck that is parked near the movie theater...

Previous Episode of the Peaceful Timeline

Yeah...but I've had the Peaceful Timeline planned out for months now and there is a story 2,000 years later.

(Am I really gonna talk about it...eh fuck it. MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE PEACEFUL TIMELINE BELOW!)

Because Optimus and Megatron have significantly longer lifespans than humans, the tolls of Ymir, Maria, and even Oshern's death is extremely heavy. Optimus does honor his vow to Ymir and protects her in both life and in death. She and Optimus are actually sitting together on the porch of the cabin. Ymir, of old age, rests her head on Optimus' shoulder in holoform, and speaks her last words to him.

"Thank you...Optimus Prime...for everything...."

And she breathes her last and passes peacefully.

Now Optimus had no idea how Ymir's power operated, and he didn't want her grave to be robbed in the event someone learned about it. So the family held a Viking funeral at the beach they visited for Maria's seventh birthday. Optimus is the one to push her body out to sea and fire the arrow that burns her body. The flames go from orange to blue and they definitely hear the sounds of something else dying, but...Ymir's body is gone. Turned to ash and one with the sea. The truest form of freedom possible. Optimus had completed his mission in protecting Ymir.

And now Megatron is literally counting the days until Maria passes on. Because he sees how Optimus has been acting post-Ymir's passing, and part of him just wants to find some solution to keep Maria alive, but he's sees her so content with her life that if he did something stupid, she would never forgive him. He doesn't want to lose the first person that looked at him without fear. And no matter what Megatron does, he's unable to actually prepare for Maria's passing. And it fucking destroys him. Megatron loses it on the ship that the two of them have been calling home.

Megatron in fury: You did this to me! This was your plan all along, wasn't it?!

Optimus didn't flinch as Megatron chucked the table across the room.

Megatron: You made me care about this pathetic and weak species! As vengeance! For all the crimes I committed! You made me feel what love and compassion was, only to have it ripped away from me! Admit it!

Optimus: Megatron-!

Megatron: ADMIT IT! Admit that this was all a scheme! A lie! Admit it! Please admit it!

Megatron falls to his knees:...please admit it. I...I can't keep feeling like this.

And a much older Rose sees the way that this affects Optimus and Megatron. And she's been a fairly wise and smart kid, and she knows for a fact that if Optimus and Megatron continue this trend: staying in this family, watching everyone grow old and die, it would cause them to break and further fall into insanity. She couldn't do that to them. So she asks them to go and find a way back home. To not stay with them. She wasn't going to put them through this much pain and suffering. They try to protest, but Rose brings up the way that they've been acting as proof of that. They've gotten so attached, and they were going to suffer mentally and emotionally for it. The two titans...ultimately end up agreeing, asking Rose for a final request from them.

Rose, smiling bitterly: Just remember me as I was.

They say their goodbyes to their Aurora, and return to hiding, trying to find a way back home to Cybertron. (Well really Optimus getting a chance to return home. If Megatron goes back, he'll be killed.) In the meantime, they have kept watch over Ymir's descendants, only interfering with their lives if they are ever in actual danger before disappearing again. And they are on the AOT world for over 2,000 years.

Enter modern day Armin, Mikasa, and Eren: reflections of their high school counterparts by Isayama. Optimus and Megatron's presence on the AOT world have caused them to become urban legends. Recorded sightings, videos, painting, stories. Hell, there's even a Buzzfeed Unsolved Episode about them. Armin and Mikasa are both extremely passionate about the topics and theories that have circulated online. Mikasa, thinks that this car is some kind of ghost or something supernatural (she calls Optimus the Ghost Car and Megatron the Demon Plane). Armin doesn't think that and thinks that they must be from the future. Aliens or even time travel. Eren, who's pretty boring as a modern day kid, thinks this is all bullshit. The photos were edited, cars can't drive on their own. The demon plane is probably just a prehistoric dinosaur. Eren, it was spotted in the 1800s!!!!

All of that changes when Eren comes across and alleyway on the way home, and sees a man next to a rusted red and blue truck. He's putting something inside, looks around, and Eren watches in disbelief as the man disappears into sparks. The truck then roars to life and Eren has to hide as it drives out of the alleyway. Eren immediately books it to his friends and screams "GUYS! I JUST SAW THE GHOST CAR IT'S REAL! HOLY FUCK!"

They end up having a serious discussion about the topic, with Armin and Mikasa interrogating Eren on what he saw, and the teen is still in shock. But Armin and Mikasa are arguing so much about it and whether or not it's supernatural or scientific in nature.

Armin ends up going to the smartest person he knows: Hanji, the croc-loving mad science teacher at their school. Hanji proclaims that they've also been investigating sightings of the Ghost Car and the Demon Plane. They love the name Mikasa gave the beings. And proclaims that the possible oldest recording of the Ghost Car was an early tale from Marley's history: the tale of the Savior from Heaven defeating the Devil of all the Earth. But unfortunately, there was never any sighting of a human with this Ghost Car. However, Hanji has noticed the car stops by the city once a month. Very punctual actually. They've tried to tail it quite a few times, but it's eluded them. Levi and Erwin think it's bullshit.

Levi entering and sweeping the room: It is bullshit four-eyes.

Hanji: It is not!

Armin gets the exact date, and the places Hanji spotted the car. Hanji asks to be notified if they find anything. Armin, Eren, and Mikasa make a plan for the next month and wait. It's an agonizing wait, but it's something that ends up bringing the trio closer together. But the day comes and they spring into action. They investigate the city and look everywhere. The car wasn't spotted. They finally check the last place, a scrapyard at night, and see the truck. They get excited and slowly approach it, but....nothing seems wrong with it. It looks like an ordinary truck. Armin does make a conscious note to take a picture of the Autobot symbol on the front. Then Optimus in holoform flashes a light at them and demands to know what they were doing here. They think they've been caught by authorities and try to explain, but Eren spots the scrap Optimus is collecting and remembers his face. He pulls out a be-be gun and demands to know what he is. Mikasa follows by pulling out some holy water and throwing it at him but Optimus is now annoyed and wet.

Optimus also disarms Eren while he's at it and decides to hold onto the bebe gun so he doesn't try anything. He tells them that he won't report them if they go home. Eren tries to get his gun back, but Optimus just grabs him by the arms and walks over before setting him atop the refrigerator. Armin manages to sneak a picture of his face as Optimus leaves. Mikasa and Armin help Eren down while Eren laments the loss of his gun. He used his allowance to pay for that. But Armin shows the evidence to Hanji and is delighted that they might have gotten this close. She runs the Autobot symbol online, but nothing about it shows up. It doesn't exist on Earth.

But I've decided to add this for fun to create conflict Starscream, who's been hunting Megatron for years now, managed to acquire enough money to hire bounty hunters to hunt Megatron down and kill him. They come across this world, see evidence of the Autobot symbol online, and Starscream tells Shadelock to hunt down the humans who took the picture for interrogation. Armin, Mikasa, and Eren are running for their lives from another ghost car, Optimus sees this, and decides, fuck it, I gotta save them. Optimus protects them from an attack and tells them to get it, but his holoform isn't on so they see the car is driving by itself.

Optimus: Get in!

Eren: There's no driver!

Optimus: GET IN!

The trio get in and Optimus is now driving in a high speed chase through the city to lose Shadelock. Eren's gripping to the seat for dear life, Armin is screaming, while Mikasa is praying to all the gods she can think of. They reach the outskirts of the city, and that's when all three see Shadelock transform and fire at Optimus. Optimus transforms and gets out of the way, but the trio are now exposed to a full on brawl. Optimus manages to injure Shadelock enough, but it's been so long since he's actually killed someone. Shadelock decides to cut his losses and runs once he sees that opening, and now Optimus is stuck with three kids. Optimus has no choice but to take them and figure something out. He contacts Megatron and Megatron sends a groundbridge to his location. The trio are taken through and are now inside the Cybertronian ship the two Cybertronians found all those years ago. Armin is fucking cheering, telling Mikasa he was right and there are no such things as ghosts! But then Megatron makes himself known demanding what happened, and the trio are now screaming at the sight of Megatron, who is now angry.

Megatron. Shut up. Shut up! SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Armin, Eren, and Mikasa: quickly shut their mouths.

Optimus: Megatron-!

Megatron: No! We had a rule!

Now the modern day trio is in witness two deity-roommates arguing over their presence on the ship and the fact that something called a 'Decepticon' was trying to kill them.

Eren: Can I get my bebe gun back?

Optimus and Megatron: NO!

Optimus does inform them that because a Decepticon was after them, they need to be placed under protection. So, they were going to be keeping watch over all three of them for the time being. At least until the threat is settled. The trio mindlessly agree, thinking its all a dream as they are bridged back to their homes, but they spot Optimus in alt mode the next day and they are freaking the hell out! Armin and Mikasa clearly want to call the police or the FBI or something! This is not what they were expecting! But Eren, who's never had anything exciting happen to him before in his life and has always desired for something to happen to say not to.

Eren: This is probably going to be the coolest things that ever happen to us in our known lives! And we're just going to pass up this opportunity to be among aliens?!

Eren puts his hand out to them: Fifty years from now, I'm not going to look back on my life and say that I didn't take the first step. That I didn't take the once in a lifetime chance to be part of something bigger. I don't care if I do this alone. I'm jumping in the deep end. What say you?

Armin and Mikasa think long and hard about it before placing their hands on top of Eren's, and Eren just has the biggest smile on my face.

(I really talk a lot about my ideas with @justawannabearchaeologist and @echoblaze5. But talking about it helps turn the gears of ideas in my head and keeps the ball rolling. So yeah.)

lupin:

known attention whore = MADE for the too self important lead vocalist whose ego eventually breaks up the band. it’s just that by standard lupin miracles nobody has even considered that as an option! but just saying “main character is the frontman” is boring so let’s go further

lupin probably had like piano lessons as a kid per the hyper decadent lifestyle of the family, but he only retained like. don’t stop believin maybe. piano isn't totally his style in a BAND band, like he COULD do keyboard reasonably if he wanted but he thinks it looks silly so he doesn’t because he’s just. like that. it's his band he gets to do whatever

jack of all trades master of none most likely. can play a little on the guitar, bass, bagpipes for all i care, jaw harp, elementary school recorder, etc, but it’s mostly for show. he’d kill on drums but that’s in the BACK and HE can’t be in THE BACK

jigen:

a second in command comfortable with being second in command? jigen wouldn’t even be on the stage if it was up to him, he’d just play his part like standing on the steps to the platform

guitar, but prefers acoustic. he processes the notes better if they're like, "organic" like that, not to say he CAN'T do electric guitar, and he admits it sounds pretty sick time to time, but he has his preference. he loves the sound of piano, too, but he doesn’t have the fingers for it, and he’d LOVE to do saxophone but learning it is a real task and it’s hard to juggle murder, burglary, and lessons simultaneously. maybe if he ever retires. and if that smoker’s lung capacity doesn’t have anything to say about it

jigen’s gonna be causing beef about the music styles for sure. and lupin’s like “you LOVE rock” and he’s like “but this is specifically is shit. actually take it down a few steps pal let’s just do some billy joel” “WE HAVE AN AMP.”

fujiko:

oh god she has a beautiful singing voice. you know it, i know it, everyone does, and maybe she’ll sing once in a while, but her REAL deal is managing.

oh she LOVES being on that clunky flip phone going “my talent would sooner play a swamp than take pocket change from your dinky little joint” and really none of the others like the setup side of playing live music so really it works out! plus she gets to hit ‘em with the agent royalties. best of both worlds

could probably play damn near any instrument if she really tried, but she doesn’t care too much to make that effort, at least not for this purpose. she likes listening and dancing to music more anyway! it’s probably why she doesn’t sing too much despite her natural gift there. i bet she'd be hands on if they made a music video or something though

a little addendum: it would be so cute if yata was also trying to manage them. like he’s fujiko’s assistant. man gets stuff DONE i can easily imagine the trade off of “yes i can schedule this. wait what are the hours? ooooh. lemme get you on the line with miss mine” and she just grins knowing she’s about to unload a whole schpeel on this phone guy. good cop bad cop managers. if i knew more about the band scene as a whole i bet i could throw some other thoughts in here but for now we'll just reach the honorary sixth guy :)

How do you think Pearl’s family reacted to Pearl dating Marina? I assume they’re chill with it and I’m 100% gonna assume that they’re going to pay and go all out for their wedding (also maybe Pearlina wedding hcs?)

People tend to either think pearl's fam is chill af or terrible and i prefer the first option LOL, it's nice as an AU for plot angst and stuff but I think pearl is on good terms with her parents!! she's definitely a daddy's girl

When she told her mom she was dating marina her mom was like "Great, when will I meet her? Are you bringing her to family dinner on Sunday? How much food should I expect her to eat?"

Her dad was like "Cool." Which is actually dad speak for "I'm so proud of you and I can't wait to meet the love of your life."

The Houzuki family is rich as fuck so they will absolutely pay for all the expenses of their wedding and honeymoon, so they can literally do whatever they want. following this idea, here are some pearlina wedding hcs:

They have all their friends and family come of course, oth is popular so they invite all sorts of people they've become acquainted doing business with

Pearl's maid of honor is Callie, Marina's is Marie ofc

They both have some of the agents as their brides maids, agent 3 is one of Pearl's, agent 8 is one of Marina's, 4 and neo 3 are there too but not in the bridal parties (they haven't really met much yet so they are both invited bc NSS members but neither of them are close)

Pearl has a suit dress combination, a short, fluffy white wedding skirt with a pristine white blazer with teal accents. she has a teal tie on as well

Marina has a form fitting, shimmery, white dress that reaches the ground and has a high slit by her leg for mobility. It has really delicate, thin straps made of lace or beads, they're really just there for show instead of support but the beads have hints of pink in them

They have the most mushy and from the heart vows ever, Marina saying that Pearl saved her, gave her hope that inkopolis would be a home for her and she fell in love with the kindest most beautiful person ever. Pearl saying how Marina changed her, how she made her evaluate her actions and life choices and became such a better person because of her influence, and there was nobody she’d rather spend the rest of her life with than Marina.

They have the most gorgeous wedding ring sets, Marina has a round blue sapphire with diamonds around the band of the ring, and a wedding band that fits over the ring to make it look like an infinity symbol. Pearl has a square (but its tilted on its side so its a diamond shape) pink diamond surrounded by smaller white diamonds, and a wedding band that points in the middle making the set look like a crown <3

Pearl’s dad absolutely cries during their first dance, hes so proud of his daughter and he also gives Marina a dance because she doesn’t have family that she can do that with ;-; that makes Marina cry

Pearl and Marina’s first dance is so emotional and they have a beautiful dance routine they practiced, a simple ballroom dance with lots of twirling and Marina dipping Pearl and kissing her. Everyone is just so happy for them and the two of them are so excited to spend the rest of their lives together

Their honeymoon is in like a tropical forest/island environment, somewhere they’re kind of secluded in a beautiful nature setting and can chill and relax as wives without worrying about being off the hook

Heya, everyone! After such an amazing influx of content for our little event, Katydid and I are extremely excited to announce the winners of One for All October! Everything was absolutely amazing and because of that, we've added in some more prizes since we struggled so much to select the winners overall, we wish we could give prizes to every last one of you!

So we've got some second place prizes, along with a boat load of honourable mentions! So without further ado -

Y/N- *giggles* "Of course, my love!"

J- *stands up and slips on the ring, looking into your eyes* “I can’t wait to have my Sun next to me for the rest of my life.”

Y/N- "Me neither, my Moon." <3

Yoongi:

YOON- “Aish y/n, you look like you saw a ghost. A simple no would’ve sufficed” *starts to get off the ground*

Y/N- *gently lays a hand on his shoulder* "It's nothing like that, you dramatic cat… I just…look, it caught me off guard, ok?"

YOON- *slightly pouts* “Okaayy… so will you-“

Y/N- *squats down and wraps arms around his neck* "I will! Yes! I'll agree in every language if you want. Hehe."

YOON- *helps you to your feet and brushes your hair out of your face* "That's sweet, jagiya, but you're fine. Now let's go get some celebratory cake or soju or anything!! If it is with you, I'm there."

Hobi:

H- *eyes are wide as they can go staring nervously, awaiting an answer*

Y/N- “Wait… is that where you were the other day? I knew something was off!”

H- “What do you mean?”

Y/N- “You really expected me to believe you would volunteer at the zoo? I wasn't born yesterday, Hoseok" *raises an eyebrow and smirks* "My beloved fiancé suddenly was more than fine spending his spare time at a place with snakes, bugs, and nasty smells bombarding him?"

H- "I'll admit it wasn't the best cover-up but….hold on…you just said, fiancé!" *pops up from the ground and grabs your shoulders in excitement*

Y/N- "Yes, I did, you silly jack in the box!”

H- "Sorry, hope my sudden move didn't startle you. I just am so relieved, honey. Let's go home now; all the adrenaline is crashing."

Y/N- “Same here. Let's go rest up. I can't believe you were worried! I can't thrive without my Sunshine squirrel."

Namjoon:

N- *clears throat* “Y/N, would you make me the happiest tree and put down roots with me?”

Y/N- “I.. are you asking me to mar-“

N- "Aish, yes, I'm asking you to marry me. I just was trying to go poetic with it but made it confusing I'm sorry…." *Stands up and closes ring box looking at the ground sheepishly*

Y/N- *grabs hand* "Hey, look at me. I loved your wording; it was more of a surreal like 'wow, this is happening' moment, love."

N- *sniffs blaming allergies* “I know what you mean, so does that mean…”

Y/N- "Yes, my sweet koala, I'm saying it would be a dream come true to be your wife."

-you both share a tearful embrace while smiling as wide as you are able, imagining what is to come-

Jimin:

Y/N- “Oh wow, that looks so unique! It's beautiful, Jiminssi!

JM- "I'd hope so; it's custom-made." *blushes*

Y/N- "When did you have time to … wait… is that why you were holed up in your office a couple of weeks ago??"

JM- *rubs back of neck* "Yeah… pulled some strings with Tiffany, and they let me handpick EVERYTHING about the ring. I felt so bad not hanging out with you the other day, but… now you understand why I kept saying it was a crucial meeting."

Y/N- “I definitely do I just…* starts bawling*

JM- *hurriedly stands up and guides you to a bench wiping your tears* "Hey there, what's wrong, baby? If you don't like it, I can return it y/n I promise!"

Y/N- *chuckles* "No, it's perfect! I'm not used to people putting that much effort into something for me or paying that level of attention to what I like, so I just got overwhelmed. In case that wasn't clear, the answer is most certainly yes."

JM- *lip starts to quiver as he affixes the perfectly sized ring onto your finger* “You’ve just made my century my future Mrs. Mochi!”

Taehyung:

T- “Y/N, my angel, my everything, will you marry me? Please?”

Y/N- "I thought you'd never ask; of course I will, my Tae Bear!"

T- *stands up immediately and puts the ring on you* "Do you like it? I had it made special to where garnet is the main stone, and there are mini stones of your birthstone surrounding it since you are my galaxy."

Y/N- "It's beautiful, babe, and so thought I might cry right here."

T- "Aww, hun, you're so precious. I promise to do all I can to protect your heart, mind, and body until my last breath. Let's head home; I'm sure cuddles with our Tan will be perfect!"

*' At Last' by Etta James starts playing*

Y/N- “Did you plan this?”

T- "No, but I'm not complaining, my adorable cub." *cups your face and gives you a deep kiss in relief*

Jungkook:

Y/N- "Is this why you've been extra teary-eyed lately, my sensitive bun?"

JK- *pouts while wiping away a few runaway tears* "Maybe…."

Y/N- "Aww, come here, handsome; of course, I'll be Mrs. Jeon!"

'Until I Found You by Stephen Sanchez starts playing-

JK- *is slightly startled* "Well, this is an even more memorable moment now." *surprises you by picking you up and spinning you around, giggling like a maniac, then placing a quick peck on your nose*

Y/N- “You sure know how to surprise a girl! What next?”

JK- *gently tugs on your hand* "We gotta get home to tell Bam and Army; they'll be so happy! Plus, they've been so curious about you! If that's okay with you, that is…"

Y/N- "That's fine with me, Kookie, but after, can we watch Netflix and eat something together?"

JK- "I love you so much; you know me well. Of course, you can have anything you want, babe."

how does the main story play out in your everyone lives au? does it change Before the Mehrunes Dagon fight or is that it's only divergence?

EEEEEK I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED bc I love talking about it!!! yes the Mehrunes Dagon fight is really the only major thing that changes. however, there's a lot of particulars in the timeline that i'm, well, particular about, so here's the gist of how the main quest, the Dark Brotherhood storyline, and Shivering Isles all fit together:

to give you a timeline, I like to think that the main quest starts in early spring and ends in late fall, so it takes about six or seven months.

Suzy is also juggling Dark Brotherhood story quest starting somewhere around early summer; her statue in Bruma has her Shrouded Armor on. that questline is also very slow going and doesn't really start to boil over until after the MQ is resolved. Suzy is named Silencer and given Shadowmere basically right before it's time to get the Amulet back from Mankar Camoran.

Martin survives the final battle, but it's a huge fiasco because he ends up borderline comatose from magicka expenditure. he makes a full recovery physically but he is a WRECK mentally. sidenote: it's very fun for me to explore how that would play out... i've mentioned my very long Marcien wip i've been working on; in that fic I do a lot of philosophizing about how he would handle being the emperor on top of all his past trauma, and what it would mean to be a Septim emperor with no Amulet of Kings or Dragonfires around to justify your bloodline's usefulness anymore.

while Martin is still settling into the throne, that's when the Dark Brotherhood absolutely implodes around Suzy. she's totally preoccupied with it, and as a result, she's hardly able to pay Martin any visits to check up on him. of course Martin kinda sorta starts to spiral without his emotional support demiprince... :(

Suzy comes in clutch to wrench Lucien from the jaws of death. he is... a little worse for wear. the exact severity of his wounds kinda varies from fic to fic but I don't think he gets out unscathed. in one ending i'm floating for my fic Urgent, he's all but incapacitated from the injuries (cutting against the grain of the abdominal muscle will basically render you unable to lift anything heavy ever again), and he's thus forced into early "retirement". in other versions of the ending, he quits of his own volition out of a totally justified paranoia that it could happen again, and that he won't be so lucky the second time. as a Silencer and not the Listener (she can't be everything!!), Suzy has no real reason to stay in the Brotherhood once Lucien gets forced out one way or another, so she takes her leave as well.

I think at that point Suzy gets Lucien and Martin talking mostly out of necessity; she's genuinely worried that both of them might do something horrible to cope with their sudden new lives, so she figures a buddy-system is a good solution for when she can't be there in Cheydinhal or the Imperial City to do welfare checks.

and, of course, there's no rest for the wicked; Suzy is very soon drawn away once again to the Shivering Isles, where her dad needs her to fulfill her duties as demiprince and keep New Sheoth running smoothly, while (semi-knownst to her) the Greymarch is happening. it's a different OC of mine (Hears-Voices, my Daggerfall protag) who becomes the new Madgod, and Suzy in her infinite daedricitude immediately takes a shine to him and totally accepts that he's her dad. not her new dad; just... her dad. you know how it is.

once that's all wrapped up in a neat little bow, she finally gets the opportunity to go back to living in Cyrodiil... only to find her two besties hooked up while she was away, and they both want her to be their maid of honor! how long has this been going on? will Suzy be able to compromise between her two best friends' wishes?? and are they going to be serving those tasty little cheese cubes at the reception or will Suzy have to cater it herself?!?!?!

Okay.. I've been an observer for a while and currently I'm just stumbling upon your upcoming Houseki no Kuni au so here I come with offerings to your shrine. I've been secretly binging the HNK tag on your blog so please forgive me >_< It's one of my favorite franchises and to hear my favorite author get into it... It's really an honor!

Chuuya, after Dazai's supposed "capture", becomes devasted and demoralized. He goes into a grief period, and so does Ango. But his translates to him stuffing himself inside a library without ever going out, while Chuuya becomes more cynical, reckless, angry, and aggressive. The fact that he is without a partner makes everything worse.

To add to his trauma, occasionally he would get glimpses of Dazai out of the corner of his eye and he, for the life of him, can't tell if it's real or not. He's in the moon, being used for god knows what, but this apparitions feel so real. From a distance, he sees him staring out the sea but he's gone the moment he looks back again. He knows he's hallucinating, probably. He has vivid dreams of Dazai and he swears the touches he feels during them are as authentic as can be but maybe he truly is going insane.

Chuuya keeps a small shard of Tourmaline wrapped in gauze in his room, hidden. Those were the only ones they found the time they woke up from their hibernation along with Oda's pieces. And when Dazai finally reappears, a culmination of grief, anger, relief, and confusion washes over him and... Yeah, he nearly strikes him with his sword. To add to the pain, those alleged "hallucinations" indeed were real and it makes Chuuya feel more toyed with.

BUT YES. I know losing a partner sends them of the deep end in hnk, especially with this fabricated backstory I’ve made for them. Chuuya being born one day, and then dazai the very next which i imagine is super rare all together. They would have been together since birth quite literally, so the bond would be deeper than the other gems. Not to mention, they’re freakishly good with each other. Dazai starts out as strategy and Chuuya with battle, but Dazai ends up being really good in battle. I feel as if he would also be able to figure a lot of things about lunarians as well, if you know what I mean. But, they would have been an indomitable team.

So, when Dazai leaves (and I’m talking at least 50-100 years because maybe he does this weird soul searching thing or maybe he’s just so upset he hibernates for too long or something I have to figure out) Chuuya is confused and upset because if dazai was taken he should have been able to protect him. Like you said, he would be completely demoralized. No one wants to be around Chuuya because he feels like he essentially has failed him and himself and the other gems. It’s a mess for everyone. No one can partner with Chuuya, he’s too hard to tell unless someone like Dazai were to be there. He starts working nonstop, he’s not ringing the bell or telling people when lunarians come on his watch he’s just doing it himself.

And then, thru the haze of hallucinations, he’s getting a very dangerous vendetta. He thinks if they capture him, he can murder them all and get Dazai and their brethren back. It’s the least he can do for them, because he’s strong and the strong must protect the weak. The shard of tourmaline he keeps he would talk too as well, and on his birthday, he carries it around with him.

Dazai’s return though? Chuuya wouldn’t believe it. Dazai would come to him first though, and it would be a shit show if you’ve ever seen one.
